The car just shuts off without warning while driving. We’ve had this car for 6 months and had to put in the shop 4 times on different occasions without a resolution. This causes a major safety risk which could lead to a catastrophic accident. This has not been inspected by the manufacturer as of yet.

At around 85k miles the vehicle began developing a loud tick. It appears every vehicle with this motor or similar motor with the same internal Valve Rocker Arms have this problem. This Jeep problem is so bad that the parts are on a 2 month back order and every dealer admits they have a problem. The repair isn't cheap and entails the entire top of the motor to be exposed and virtually rebuilt. For a vehicle with only 85k miles this is a terrible situation that jeep has put their owners in. This is clearly an issue that should be rectified by the manufacturer.

The contact owns a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that after her husband had arrived at his destination, upon returning to the vehicle and attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to restart. The vehicle was eventually able to restart and returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The contact stated that the failure seemed to occur after driving the vehicle for longer than 45 minutes to one hour. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure Safety Recall J30. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, a case was opened, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 92,000.

I WAS DRIVING ON CITY STREET DRIVING 25 MPH , WHEN MY JEEP WRANGLER CEASED IMMEDIATELY. DIFFERENTIAL LEAKED FLUID. I HAVE ALSO NOTICED THE REAR BRAKE PASSENGER SIDE LEAK WHICH I BELIEVE CONNECTS TO DIFFERENTIAL. I BROUGHT IT TO A TECHNICIAN ATTENTION WHEN I TOOK MY CAR TO A RECALL AND MENTIONED ITS NOT A PROBLEM. I HAD MY CHILDREN IN MY CAR. COULD HAVE CAUSED A FATAL ACCIDENT. LUCKY I WAS NOT ON A HIGHLY DRIVING 70 MPH

I HAVE HAD THE CLUTCH REPLACED ONCE ALREADY AND IT IS NOW EXIBITING THE SAME ERROR AS BEFORE. THE CLUTCH WILL DEPRESS BUT NOT FULLY DISENGAGE FOR A PRPER AND SAFE SHIFT. THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AND THE CLUTCH DOES NOT FULLY DISENGAGE IF THE VEHICLE IA SITTING THE CLUTCH WILL DISENGAGE ON ONE OUT OF THREE PUMPS OF THE CLUTCH.

My airbag sensor has been continually toggling on and off for a few months now. I had the car scanned at my service center and the code came up as an issue with my driver seat airbag circuit. In my research on recalls for my year vehicle, there is a recall ~NHTSA Campaign Number 16V28800 ~Components AIR BAGS ~Summary The clock spring assembly may become contaminated with dust and cause the airbag circuit to fail. Although this recall is for right hand drive and my Jeep is left hand drive, it appears it may be the same issue. Please advise as I feel unsafe driving my Jeep and will be taking it next week to service center to have it corrected . Thank you. Awaiting your reply.

ABS system has failed and Jeep dealer said the parts are on back order and has been for over a year. Depending on who your speaking to at Stellantis they are either re-engineering the part or they are no longer manufacturing it. While my Jeep still drives, there is a major safety concern due the ABS and traction control being unavailable. There is a whole thread set up online and this problem is affecting many people. The ABS brake module failed, and apparently this is a pretty widespread issue with this module, and it's near impossible to get a replacement. The ABS, traction control, and brake light are on, as well as throwing several transmission related check engine codes. The car is undriveable.

ABS module has gone bad and Jeep Chrysler dealership has told me that they only have nine parts in the nation to replace it and the engineers are not confident in the replaced part, they won’t know when the part would be available and I was also told that if I continue to drive it I could potentially damage other components of the Jeep Wrangler. I was also told by personal mechanic that I shouldn’t drive it as I don’t not have Anti lock breaks..

While I was attempting to park my jeep across the street from my grandson's school to pick him up at 3:18, as I proceeded to pull in front of the apron so I could backup to a parking spot. In the process of going forward before I got a chance to put the jeep in reverse my brakes failed, hitting a parked car in front of me. I had my jeep towed to Old Center Island Auto Service. The mechanic removed a defective power brake booster and replaced it with a new one.

While driving the vehicle, the heat cuts out and the defroster fails. This fogs up the window quickly causing an unsafe situation. Have had heating system flushed, controls and thermostat replaced, but problem continues to occur.

Oil pressure sensor failed. Fixed that. Check engine light came back on with battery light. New alternator. Check engine returned for oil pressure sensor. Temp gauge is fine. Changed oil twice within 3 months. When replacing jeep alternator melting of wires to alternator had occurred. This seems to be an issue with this model.

The oil cooling housing. There was sludge around it and the lines from below the jeep ruptured. causing oil to leak all over the transmission bell. This caused smoking and over all engine. My dad a certified ASE mechanic has looked at it multiple times and fixed various components related to the cooling/heating system.

MY 2013 WRANGLER UNLIMITED HAS RECENTLY STARTED TO STALL WHILE DRIVING. IT HAPPENS RANDOMLY, 4 TIMES IN THE LAST 3.5 MONTHS - THE LATEST WAS TODAY AND YESTERDAY. IT STARTS AGAIN AFTER SITTING ABOUT 5-10 MINUTES OR DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY AND SEEMS TO DRIVE FINE OTHERWISE. NO LIGHTS GO OFF, IT JUST DIES AND I LOOSE POWER STEERING. THIS HAS HAPPENED IN LOWER GEARS AS WELL AS HIGHER. THE DEALERSHIP STATES THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THIS PROBLEM AND ADVISED ME THAT THEY WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO DO MUCH SINCE NO DASH LIGHTS GO OFF. I HAVE BOUGHT A CODE READER AND NO CODES ARE THROWN. IT HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY DOING 65-70 MPH WHILE IN THE MIDDLE LANE. THE CAR LITERALLY JUST SHUTS OFF WITH NO NOTICE. MY JEEP WRANGLER IS STALLING AND ONCE I GET IT RESTARTED THE TRANSMISSION WILL JERK WHEN SHIFTING. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO MY LOCAL JEEP DEALER AND THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO LOCATE THE PROBLEM. WHEN THIS HAPPENS THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS NOT COMING ON SO THEY CAN'T DIAGNOSE IT. THIS TYPICALLY HAPPENS WHEN IN REVERSE OR WHEN COMING TO A STOP IN DRIVE. THIS HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES IN TRAFFIC. I AM AFRAID THIS WILL CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. THE REASON I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP, I WAS IN TRAFFIC AT A STOPLIGHT AND IT STALLED ON ME 5 TIMES BEFORE I COULD GET IT TO KEEP RUNNING. THIS HAS ALSO HAPPENED WHEN SITTING STILL AND IDOLING. I LOVE MY JEEP AND HAVE WANTED ONE SINCE I WAS A KID. I WAS VERY DISAPPOINTED THAT THE DEALERSHIP WAS NOT ABLE TO FIX THE PROBLEM. I FOUND ONLINE WHERE 2017-18 MODELS WERE HAVING THIS SAME ISSUE. BOTH TIMES MY PROBLEM OCCURRED I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 70-75 MPH AND THE SWAY CONTROL AND CHECK ENGINE LAMP WOULD BOTH ILLUMINATE. THE VEHICLE WOULD GO INTO POWER DERATE MODE AND YOU COULDN'T ACCELERATE. HOOKED A DIAGNOSTIC CODE READER TO THE VEHICLE AND FOUND CHRYSLER TROUBLE CODES P0369, P2638, AND C121C. HAD TO DO WITH CAMSHAFT SENSOR, AND TRANSMISSION TORQUE REQUEST BEING DENIED. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANY PROBLEM. I HAVE FOUND MULTIPLE PEOPLE ON ONLINE JEEP FORUMS THAT HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE OCCUR. THE DEALERSHIP JUST HAD ME GO AND PICK UP MY VEHICLE EXACTLY AS IT WAS WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN. HOPING TO FIND OUT IF ANYBODY HAD THIS ISSUE AND ACTUALLY GOT IT FIXED. HAD THIS ISSUE OCCUR TWICE. ONE TIME WAS THE DAY THAT I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE 7/28/2018 AND THE SECOND WAS ON MY WAY TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 7/31/2018.

2 ISSUES WITH MY 13 WRANGLER UNLIMITED 1ST ... ENGINE TEMP GETS UP TO ABOUT 80 PERCENT OF THE GUAGE. I HAVE HAD IT IN 3 TIMES THEY REPLACED THE WATER PUMP TWICE AND STILL SAME ISSUES. THEY HAVE REPLACE THERMOSTAT COOLANT FLUSH ECT. THE DEALER CONNOT FIND OUT WHATS WRONG. I HAVE RESORTED TO ADDING A SECONDARY COOLANT FAN AND IT HELPS A BIT BUT ITS STILL A PROBLEM IVE HAD SINCE A YEAR FATER BUYING IT. 2ND ... Mopar Performance 68018109AA A/C and Heater Actuator has failed 3 times. I've replaced the original and twice since. This part is a safety issue because it directed the heat to defrost/de-ice the Windshield and provide heat to the occupants. There is plenty of evidence on YouTube of Jeep owners replacing this part for years now and yet there has not been a Recall regarding this part. The last replacement part was in January 2020 and failed again which I just replaced. Three times since 2013 when I purchased the 10th Anniversary Jeep Rubicon new which is why I've had enough of MOPAR not caring about its customers

THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000.

DRIVER'S SIDE OF WINDSHIELD WOULD NOT DEFROST. AFTER INTERNET REVIEW, I BELIEVE MY HEATER CORE IS PARTIALLY CLOGGED WITH A SLUDGE LIKE SUBSTANCE CIRCULATING IN THE ANTI FREEZE COOLANT AND THIS ONLY ALLOWS HOT AIR TO CIRCULATE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE OF VEHICLE. THE SLUDGE LIKE SUBSTANCE CLOGGING THE HEATER CORE IS BELIEVED BY SOME TO BE CAUSED BY MANUFACTURING REMNANTS STUCK IN THE COOLING SYSTEM. THE ISSUE ONLY BECAME APPARENT TO ME ON A LONGER THAN NORMAL COMMUTE IN COLD WEATHER. I WAS TRAVELLING ON A HIGHWAY AT NIGHT FOLLOWING A SNOWSTORM AND THE ROADS WERE POORLY PLOWED. I ONLY HAVE 50,000 MILES ON THIS CAR AND HAVE NOT HAD ANY WORK DONE TO THIS CAR'S ENGINE OR HAD ANY DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE ANTI FREEZE HAS NOT BEEN CHANGED SINCE MANUFACTURE AND NOT YET REMOVED FROM THE VEHICLE. THE PROBLEM OCCURRED LAST NIGHT. FEBRUARY 5, 2019, BUT MAY HAVE BEEN AN ISSUE PRIOR TO LAST NIGHT, BUT THE PROBLEM WAS NOT AS SEVERE. I WILL ATTEMPT TO CONTACT FCA REGARDING THIS ISSUE. The fuel supply line that attaches to the fuel rail at the engine sprung a leak at the seam were the plastic tube is sealed together. This is a high pressure line. This resulted in fuel being sprayed directly on the hot cylinder head creating a potential fire hazard.

The high pressure fuel line that is on top of the engine connected to the fuel rail failed. Gas was spraying on the hot engine. This situation could have caused a fire or explosion. I check and jeep recalled 2014 to 2020 for replacement of this fuel line, which is the same line on my jeep. I had to pay a dealer $757 to fix an issue jeep should be responsible.

Due to a strong odor of gasoline emanating from a recently filled fuel tank, the vehicle was towed (due to extreme fire risk) to an independent service center. A subsequent inspection determined a fuel leak in the upper part of the tank assembly and a cracked flange in the fuel pump assembly, which necessitated the replacement of the fuel tank and fuel pump assemblies. The vehicle components are no longer available for inspection and the vehicle was not inspected by anyone other than the owner of the independent service center. There were no warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem other than the pungent smell of gasoline. The smell of fuel first occurred after filling the gas tank on/around 08/13/2021.

My vehicle suddenly stops running as I'm driving down the road. This is an reoccurring problem that happens every few days. This does not issue a code nor does the check engine light come on. There is no rhyme or reason to the issue. Electrical does not go out only the ability to push the gas pedal. I have to pull over and turn off the jeep. It comes back on and runs after waiting 10 minutes. This is a hazard and can cause a wreck. It's an common problem with Jeeps as reported on the forums.

When driving down the road, the Jeep stops running. This is very dangerous and happens while driving at 55 mph. I’ve taken it to a mechanic and it will not throw a code. We’ve replaced the fuel pump, ignition, battery and alternator. Reading the forums and other online resources shows this is a common problem with multiple solutions. Jeep should recall any parts identified with this issue and be able to help correct this known issue. This is very unsafe. I do not have the money to spend and have no reliable transportation for employment. This has been such a hardship during such trying economic times.

AT APPROXIMATELY 60K MILES MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER SPORT UNLIMITED STARTED "STALLING" INEXPLICABLY. WHEN THIS HAPPENS YOU LOSE ALL THROTTLE CONTROL, AND YOUR POWER STEERING. WHICH CAN BE CHALLENGING WHEN YOUR IN THE LEFT HAND LANE OF A FOUR LANE INTERSTATE GOING 65MPH. THIS CAUSED A TRACTOR TRAILOR TO JACK KNIFE AND SLIDE DOWN THE INTERSTATE... LUCKILY, I AND THE FEW OTHERS ON THE ROAD AT THE TIME SURVIVED. AFTER TAKING MY VEHICLE IN FOR THE FIFTH TIME FOR THE SAME PROBLEM I STARTED RESEARCHING MYSELF. I WAS SHOCKED TO FIND IT APPEARS TO BE AN EPIDEMIC PROBLEM WITH THE 12-14 JEEPS WITH THE NEW PENTASTAR ENGINES. IT ALSO APPEARS THAT NO FCA/JEEP DEALERSHIP IN THE COUNTRY HAS FIGURED IT OUT. IF THOSE WERE THE FIRST WITH THE NEW MOTOR, IT STANDS TO REASON IF IT DOESN'T APPEAR THERE IS A FIX, THAT IT WILL CONTINUE. AND I CAN TELL YOU FROM PERSONAL EXPERIENCE, PEOPLE ARE GOING TO DIE FROM THIS SAFETY ISSUE. THIS TYPICALLY HAPPENS WHEN DOWN SHIFTING TO GET POWER, OR WHEN SHIFTING INTO GEAR AFTER BACKING OUT OF A PARKING STALL. THE THROTTLE IS LOST COMPLETELY AND THE POWER STEERING AS WELL. YOU CAN TRY TO CRANK THE VEHICLE, BUT IT WILL NOT START UNTIL AFTER ABOUT FIVE TO TEN MINUTES. IT WILL THEN START UP AND DRIVE LIKE NOTHING HAPPENED. NO CODES ARE SHOWN AND DEALERSHIPS HAVE NO WAY TO IDENTIFY THE PROBLEM UNLESS THEY CAN REPLICATE IT. THAT WOULD BE THE BEGINNING ANYWAY. SOME SERIOUS EFFORT NEEDS TO BE PUT INTO THIS, AGAIN, IT DOESN'T APPEAR TO BE BEING ADDRESSED, AND IT WILL ONLY GET WORSE AS THE JEEPS FROM 2012 ON GET OLDER AND GET TO THE 60K RANGE.

WHEN MY HOOD WAS DAMAGED BY HAIL IN MAY 2018, I CHANGED THE ORIGINAL HOOD LATCHES ALSO TO AN AFTERMARKET PRODUCT THAT NO LONGER ALLOWS THE HOOD TO FLUTTER AT THESE SPEEDS. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF THIS VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENED FROM THE TIME I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE (01/2014) UNTIL LATCHES WERE CHANGED TO AFTERMARKET PRODUCT (05/2018).

Horn, evic & radio controls on the steering wheel don't work. After waiting 2 months tfor the part, they replaced the evic switch which I was promised controlled the horn & radio too. It didn't fix the horn or any of the other issues. Now the dealer wants to replace the clock spring. There is an existing recall for my model year and years before and after (Safety Recall S40 / NHTSA 16V-288 Airbag Clockspring) but my VIN is not included. Jeep can not explain why I'm not included and said my airbag may or may not work. Any help is appreciated.

I OWN A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER, I TAKE MY JEEP OFF-ROAD EVERY WEEKEND. LIVING IN LAS VEGAS, NV, I CAN KEEP THE TOP OFF 10 MONTHS OUT OF THE YEAR. LIVING IN THE DESERT, IT'S ALSO VERY DUSTY HERE. IN MAY OF 2016, I WAS ON AN OFF-ROADING TRIP, WHEN THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER, AND THEY TOLD ME IT WAS THE CLOCKSPRING. THEY QUOTED ME $700.00 TO FIX IT...I DIDN'T HAVE THE MONEY, SO I PAID THEM THE $150.00 DIAGNOSTIC FEE... TWO DAYS LATER, THE FIRST RECALL FOR CLOCKSPRING CAME OUT. I CALLED THE DEALER BACK, THEY LOOKED UP MY VIN #, AND SAID MY VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE RECALL. SINCE THEN SEVERAL MORE RECALLS HAVE BEEN ISSUED, BUT MY VEHICLE IS STILL NOT LISTED. I DID RESEARCH ON CLOCKSPRINGS, AND FOUND OUT THE REASON THEY GO OUT IS DUE TO DUST, FREQUENT OFF-ROAD, AND REMOVING THE TOP. ALL OF WHICH DESCRIBES MY JEEP. IN ADDITION TO THE AIRBAG NOT DEPLOYING, THE CLOCKSPRING EFFECTS THE HORN, AS WELL AS OTHER CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL. I HAVE WRITTEN SEVERAL EMAILS TO JEEP, CHRYSLER, AND MOPAR. I HAVE DISCUSSED THIS ISSUE ON SEVERAL JEEP FORUMS SITES, ASKING FOR HELP. IF THE RECALL COVERS ONLY SOME 2013 MODELS, BUT MY MODEL MATCHES THE CIRCUMSTANCES SURROUNDING THE RECALL ISSUE, THEN I BELIEVE MINE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THE RECALL.

This vehicle is notorious for a common issue yet that same issue which has not been recalled is the reason my engine blew on the highway and Jeep has failed to notify owners of this issue or give some sort of reimbursement. My Jeep was cruising just fine when my engine suddenly blew, it was well maintained and taken care of. Despite the great care the oil housing unit which many others have complained about cracked leaking all the oil in a matter of minutes. This essential piece failing and releasing all the oil caused my engine to blow. Jeep is notorious for having a plastic oil housing unit with no heat shield since it is inbetween both engine bays. Having the unit where it is while creating the piece out of plastic seems like a text-book way to have catastrophic failure and further profit off complete engine failure. This material design flaw has now cost me nearly $800 come to find out I need a total engine replacement now which will be around $4000. This is completely unacceptable a vehicle was allowed to be put on the road with such a catastrophic design flaw and physically endangered me when this happened. In the attached files you can see the pooling of oil, I also have official reference from a local auto shop and screenshots of multiple online complaints.

fuel supply line going to the engine leaking gas directly onto engine. I started smelling gas and upon inspection found the leak. I googled it and found numerous links with people having the same issue. Definitely poses a safety hazard.

ABOUT A MONTH AGO I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A 4 HOUR DRIVE I DO ON A WEEKLY BASIS AND 2 HOURS INTO THE DRIVE MY VEHICLE STALLED AS I WAS SLOWING FOR A YELLOW LIGHT. THERE WAS NO WARNING AT ALL AND IT TOOK ME A SECOND TO REALIZE IT HAD STALLED. I WAS ABLE TO ROLL OUT OF THE TRAFFIC LANE ONTO A SIDE ROAD. THE POLICE SHOWED UP AND HELPED ME PUSH IT OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. AT THAT POINT I TRIED TO START IT, APPROXIMATELY 10MINS AFTER STALLING AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. THE SECOND TIME IT STALLED I WAS ON A BUSY 12 LANE INTERSTATE 95 IN DOWNTOWN MIAMI. AGAIN I DID NOT KNOW IT HAD STALLED, I WAS INCREASING SPEED FROM ABOUT 50MPH TO 60MPH AND PUSHED THE GAS PEDAL AND NOTHING HAPPENED. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF 6 LANES AND IMMEDIATELY PUT MY HAZARDS ON AND ROLLED THROUGH TRAFFIC ONTO THE SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE. I WAITED 5 MINS AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP AND I WENT STRAIGHT TO THE CHRYSLER DEALER IN KENDALL, FL. THEY GAVE ME A RENTAL VEHICLE - THANK GOD. ABOUT 3 WEEKS LATER THEY CHANGED OUT THE PCM AND GAVE IT BACK TO ME - FIXED (SUPPOSEDLY). 2 WEEKS LATER IT STALLED IN TRAFFIC ON A 4 LANE HWY; WAITED 5 MINS AND IT STARTED FINE, WAS LATER AT THE STORE GOT IN THE VEHICLE AND IT WOULD NOT START JUST KEPT TRYING TO CRANK ITSELF, WAITED 5 MINS LATER AND IT STARTED. THAT WEEKEND TOOK IT TO CHRYSLER IN TAMPA (JERRY ULM) THEY SAID IT IS NOT IN MY WARRANTY AND I PAID $400.00 FOR WHAT I WAS TOLD WAS A CHRYSLER "WORK AROUND". 2 DAYS LATER IT WOULD NOT START AND IT TRIED TO CRANK ITSELF. ABS and check engine light. I am a rural mail carrier, because my ABS light is on it causes my jeep to not accelerate pulling away from mailboxes therefore putting myself and other drivers at risk. The problem has been reproduced at the dealer. Warning lights illuminated at 19687 miles and are still on to this day, no resolution from Jeep. Jeep engineer came to dealership and could not say what was wrong with vehicle.

IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY 6 LANE HIGHWAY, I WAS VERY LUCKY TO GET THROUGH THE TRAFFIC AND ROLL INTO THE MEDIAN. I WAITED 5 MINUTES AND WAS ABLE TO START IT AGAIN. ESC LIGHT IS CONSTANTLY ON. THIS RESULTS IN CRUISE CONTROL NOT WORKING, THIS ALSO CAUSES THE MIL (CHECK ENGINE) TO STAY ILLUMINATED. THIS WAS INITIALLY A PROBLEM WHEN I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE NEW. I HAVE IGNORED THIS ISSUE, BUT AFTER RELOCATING TO A NEW STATE, CALIFORNIA REQUIRES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TO BE OFF IN ORDER TO PASS A SMOG INSPECTION. I'VE REPLACED THE CLOCK SPRING. NO CHANGE. I BELIEVE MY JEEP IS AFFECTED BY THE SAME ISSUE THAT RESULTED IN NHTSA RECALL NO. 14V-636. I WOULD NOT SAY THAT NHTSA 16V-290 SHOULD APPLY TO THIS VEHICLE, ONLY BECAUSE THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT IS NOT ON.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT GOES ON AND OFF. DEFAULT CODE SHOWS PROBLEM WITH OIL PRESSURE SENSOR. BUT CHECK ENGINE GOES OFF WHEN VEHICLE IS AT 3/4 FUEL TANK, THEN GOES BACK ON WHEN AT 1/4 FUEL. THE OIL PRESSURE SENSOR PROBLEM APPEARS COMMON TO THESE VEHICLES. THERE ARE LOTS OF PEOPLE NOTING THE SAME PROBLEM AND EXPLANATION IS THAT JEEP KNOWS THERE WERE FAULTY OIL PRESSURE SENSORS INSTALLED OVER MANY VEHICLE MODELS AND YEARS. THE REPAIR IS ROUGHLY $400 - $500 AS THE HEAD NEEDS TO BE PULLED TO REPLACE THE SENSOR. HOWEVER, MANY STILL REPORT THE CHECK ENGINE PROBLEM AFTER THE REPAIR IS MADE. UNKNOWN AS TO EXTENT OF DAMAGE THE ENGINE MAY EXPERIENCE DUE TO THIS PROBLEM.

IT HAPPENED AT VARIOUS SPEEDS BETWEEN 30 MPH AND 65 MPH, ON MODERATELY BUMPY ROADS, HOWEVER, NOT BUMPY ENOUGH TO BE DESCRIBED AS OUTSIDE OF THE NORMAL. FOLLOWING THE RECALL NUMBER N28/NHTSA 13V-234 AND P61/NHTSA 14V-631 I TOOK MY CAR TO POTAMKIN'S PLANET DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP DEALER IN MIAMI FLORIDA 33172 ON MARCH 13, 2015. THEY LEFT THE CAR THERE FOR ONE DAY AND THEY GAVE ME THE RECEIPT STATING "TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE - REPLACE POWER STEERING TUBE, INSPECT TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE, INSTALL PROTECTIVE SLEEVE AND BLEED POWER STEERING SYSTEM" AND ALSO "HEATED POWER SIDE VIEW MIRROR WIRE HARNESS - REPAIR INSTALL NEW MIRROR CONNECTORS AND WATER SHIELDS." I INSPECTED THE CAR MYSELF AFTER PICKUP AND I NOTICED NONE OF THE REPAIRS WERE DONE. I WENT BACK TO THE DEALER ON MARCH 21, 2015 AND I SPOKE WITH THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT MANAGER, [XXX]. THE CAR WAS INSPECTED AGAIN AND, IN FACT, NO WORK HAD BEEN DONE. THEY THEN INSTALLED THE SLEEVE IN THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER TUBE AND HE TOLD ME IT WAS THE ONLY WORK NEEDED. Michelin Defender Tire with ~90% tread exploded with no indicators or warning. VDOT repairman indicated that it had exploded from the side. Incident happened on the highway 2/24/24 going 60mph. Jeep did not observe any potholes, road debris, or curbs. I do not do off-roading. Tires had 35psi. I drive average 6000 miles a year. Tire: LT 285/70R17 121/118R dot 1b7 bf 005x 2922 load range E. Wheel: PRC 7069/AT L 13+JK 17X9 33X12.50 R17 employee from tirerack.com confirmed tire/wheel are a match. Tire is available for inspection. Will have tire shop take it off the wheel and inquire to see if they can evaluate what happened. Tire has only been inspected by VDOT employee on site of incident. No sign of warnings or dashboard light before incident until after it blew up which produced a low tire pressure indicator. Has not been reproduced or confirmed by dealer or independent service center. Safety was put in risk to driver and other drivers on highway going highway speed. Was able to control car to a stop. Jeeps are at higher risk of rolling over. Luckily nobody was hurt and no damage to vehicle other than the Tire.

I PURCHASED A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER FROM TALLAHASSEE DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP IN TALLAHASSEE, FL WITH 8+ YEAR OLD TIRES. THEY ARE DRY ROTTED. The contact stated that while driving at highway speeds, the check engine and traction control warning lights suddenly illuminated, and the vehicle went into LIMP Mode and decelerated to under 45 MPH. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced the cylinder head oil plugs, but the failure persisted. The vehicle was later taken to a second dealer who diagnosed that the engine had experienced low compression leak and multiple misfires. The contact was informed that the cylinder head, engine valves, and springs needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The contact owns a 2013 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that the vehicle was overheating while driving. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where the thermostat was replaced several times. However, the failure persisted. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine warning illuminated and several chimes were heard. The contact veered to the side of the road and noticed that engine oil was leaking onto the ground. The vehicle was towed to the dealer and was diagnosed that the radiator needed to be replaced. The part was replaced; however, the contact stated that upon parking the vehicle, the failure reoccurred and the engine oil leaked out onto the ground. The vehicle was towed to a second dealer, Perkins Motors (1205 Motor City Dr, Colorado Springs, CO 80905) where it was diagnosed that the engine cooler needed to be replaced. ON THURSDAY, AUGUST 23, 2018 AT APPROXIMATELY 12:20 I WAS DRIVING DOWN I820 SOUTH BOUND AT THE SPEED OF 65 MPH WHEN I HEARD A LOUD POP THAT SOUNDED LIKE A GUNSHOT, ABOUT 30 SECONDS OR LESS LATER THERE WAS ANOTHER ONE. I REACHED SPEEDS OVER 90 MPH BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO GET THE EDGE OF MY SHOE UNDER THE PEDAL TO GET IT UNSTUCK. I WAS EXTREMELY LUCKY NO OTHER VEHICLE WAS IN FRONT OF THE ONE I PASSED. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AT 70MPH. IT FELT LIKE THE CRUISE CONTROL KICKED IN AND THE JEEP BEGAN TO ACCELERATE. I TAPPED THE BREAK HOWEVER THE SPEED WAS INCREASING. I PRESSED DOWN HARDER ON THE GAS AND THE CAR SLOWED SOME BUT AS SOON AS I LET OFF THE BRAKE THE CAR WOULD SPEED UP. I PRESSED DOWN ON THE BREAK AND WAS ABLE TO GET OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. A RED WARNING LIGHT CAME ON. I HAD TO PRESS THE BREAK TO THE FLOOR AND PULL THE PARKING BREAK. THE REAR TIRES WERE STILL SPINNING SO I SHUT THE JEEP OFF AND CALLED A TOW TRUCK. THE JEEP WAS TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP. THE JEEP IS STILL AT THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY ARE UNABLE TO FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. DEALER ADVISED ME THAT I WAS CURRENTLY 9TH ON THE LIST TO RECEIVE THE SAFETY RECALL PARTS. HOWEVER, CHRYSLER JEEP WAS ONLY SENDING THE DEALER ONE (1) SET OF PARTS PER MONTH SO IT WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY 9 MONTHS BEFORE THEY WILL HAVE THE PARTS TO FIX MY VEHICLES' SAFETY RECALL. My 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon, has a non-functional horn and steering wheel controls, including cruise control and audio buttons, which stopped working in. I suspect a faulty clockspring, as these symptoms match issues in prior Jeep Wrangler recalls for 2007-2012 models (NHTSA campaign 11V528000), where clockspring failures also disabled horns and risked airbag malfunctions. My vehicle shows. This poses a safety risk, as the horn is critical for avoiding collisions. No repairs attempted yet, but similar complaints appear online from other 2013 Wrangler owners. Please investigate for a potential recall.

The components in the N28 / NHTSA 13V-234 recall did exactly what they were recalled for. My check engine light came on a few months back so I brought it to be diagnosed at a parts store and diagnostic scanner listed P codes for possible O2 sensor. I brought my 2013 Jeep Wrangler Sport into a Jeep dealership(#1) in Friday, November 1st, 2024 and upon the first inspection, they found a couple of issues and printed an quote for $127.33, I signed off on that quote. Then another hour or 2 passed by, they brought me a revised quote for over $600, which I was still okay with and signed off to have repaired. Then they offered to bring me home after hours of sitting in the lobby. The next day, I get a link to review the revised inspection and it was over $2400. The engine charge was over $1900 caused by the N28 recall. I asked them to just do the recall because I could not afford it the remaining. Upon looking into forums, documents & diagrams researching online specific to the N28 recall, I reached out to the manufacturer quite a few times by phone and email. I was working with someone who I thought would be helpful, since he suggested I call a different Jeep Dealership (#2) Service Dept. and speak with a mechanic there. I spoke with a mechanic at #2 and sent #1's inspection report, and #2 dealership's mechanic confirmed the issues are connected & caused by the recall. The manufacture's contact (that I thought was more helpful than the ones I spoke with prior) was emailing me. I reported back to the contact on November 14th, 2024 what dealership #2 said and he never responded. I followed up for a response on November 21st, 2024. I still have no response as of January 30th, 2025.

My airbag dash light is illuminated. I took it to Park Jeep and the error code suggests that it is the clockspring that should be replaced. - I bought a "legally imported from Canada" 2013 Jeep Wrangler from a large US non-Jeep dealer in 2016. It had 55k miles so it would have been out of warranty. Recently, I had the pab recall work done at a local Jeep dealership. About a month later, my airbag light started coming on intermittently. Because of the timing of the recall work, I went back to that dealership to have them diagnose/see if they were the cause/etc.. They diagnosed it as needing the clockspring. I have been told by two local Jeep dealerships and the folks at 1-877-amjeep that even though the extended warranty on the clockspring applies to ALL NAFTA market vehicles, they wont fix it under warranty. I was actually told, "...the warranty it didn't have at the time it crossed into the US was voided, thus nullifying any future extended warranty that could would have covered other parts." FCA did this extended warranty nonsense to avoid a recall, and if they arent honoring the extended warranty, then there ought to be a recall on the clockspring. MY airbag is NON functioning due to a manufacturing defect and FCA wont fix it. I cannot be the only person that is adversely affected by this.

TWICE MY VEHICLE'S ENGINE HAS SIMPLY TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING. BOTH TIMES WERE AT LOW SPEEDS. THE FIRST TIME I WAS IN REVERSE IN A PARKING GARAGE. THE ENGINE SIMPLY STOPPED. ALL THE LIGHTS STILL REMAINED ON. I THOUGHT I MUST HAVE PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL BY MISTAKE, BUT HAVE HAD THIS CAR FOR 3 YEARS AND HAVE NEVER DONEE THAT BEFORE.. TURNED THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AND WENT ON MY WAY. THERE WERE NO INDICATOR LIGHTS ON BEFORE OR AFTER THIS INCIDENT. THE NEXT DAY I WAS TURNING AT AN INTERSECTION AND THE CAR ENGINE AGAIN COMPLETELY SHUT OFF. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS AT ALL TO SHOW THE VEHICLE HAD AN ISSUE. AND THERE WAS NO WAY THIS WAS A MISTAKE ON MY END. THEN THE ENGINE WOULD NOT TURN OVER. I WAS STOPPED IN THE MIDDLE OF A TRAFFIC INTERSECTION. IT WAS NOT ON A MAIN ROAD, BUT STILL ON AN ACTIVE ROAD, WHERE IN THE SPAN OF 5 MINUTES 50 CARS MUST HAVE DRIVEN BY. IT WAS DARK OUT AND I AM LUCKY THERE WAS GOOD LIGHTING IN THE AREA. SOMEONE HELPED ME TO PUSH THE CAR OUT OF THE INTERSECTION. ALL THE LIGHTS CONTINUED TO WORK. AFTER 20 MINUTES, THE CAR STARTED AGAIN. I BROUGHT THE CAR INTO THE DEALERSHIP TODAY. THEY TESTED THE VEHICLE AND FOUND NO CODES OR ERRORS THAT POPPED UP. THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT TO RECOMMEND. MY TRUCK HAS BEEN BROUGHT IN FOR SERVICE TWICE FOR REPEATEDLY STALLING WHILE IN MOTION. IT HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT FOR A COMBINED 56 DAYS. I FIRST BROUGHT THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE ON 1/13/2015, AFTER THE VEHICLE STALLED ON 1/9/2015 WHILE DRIVING 70 MPH, AND 1/13/2015 WHEN ACCELERATING TO 50 MPH. MY VEHICLE WAS CLEARED TO PICK UP ON 1/24/2015 FOLLOWING SERVICE THAT INCLUDED COMPUTER UPDATES, PHYSICAL INSPECTION, AND ROAD TESTING. MY VEHICLE STALLED AGAIN ON 2/5/2015 WHILE DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY ENTRANCE RAMP. IN ALL THREE CASES, THE VEHICLE STARTED WITHOUT ASSISTANCE IN ABOUT TEN MINUTES. IT BURNED HALF THE VEHICLE BEFORE BEING PUT OUT AND TOTALED OUT MY JEEP. IT ALSO DAMAGED THE ENTIRE BACK END OF THE CAR PARKED IN FRONT OF ME. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT RULED THIS WAS A ELECTRICAL FIRE AND NOT ARSON. DAYS BEFORE I NOTICED THE OUTSIDE TEMP WAS READING AT 119 DEGREES OUT SIDE WHEN THE TEMP WAS ACTUALLY 99 DEGREES. DRIVER SEAT ADJUSTMENT FEATURE IS FAILING. PRIMARY DRIVER REQUIRES SEAT TO BE SET AT HIGHEST POSSIBLE HEIGHT (VERTICAL) ELEVATION POSITION. DRIVER HAS HAD TO REPEATEDLY USE MANUAL ADJUSTMENT FEATURE TO RAISE SEAT TO REQUIRED HEIGHT MAJORITY OF THE TIME THAT THE VEHICLE IS DRIVEN. THE FREQUENCY THAT THE ADJUSTMENT MUST BE MADE BEFORE DRIVING IS INCREASING. ALTHOUGH THE SEAT HAS NOT YET DROPPED WHILE THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN IN MOTION, THE CONCERN IS THAT IT WILL START TO OCCUR IN THE FUTURE. WHEN THE SEAT DROPS, THE PRIMARY DRIVER HAS ISSUES WITH THE VISIBILITY AND REACHING THE BOTH THE BRAKE PEDAL AND THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. (NOTE: WHEN THE DRIVER SEAT IS ADJUSTED TO A HIGHER POSITION, IT ALSO MOVES FORWARD...CLOSER TO THE STEERING COLUMN AND BRAKE/GAS PEDALS). IN ADDITION, WHEN THE SEAT DROPS TO ITS DEFAULT POSITION, THE PRIMARY DRIVER'S FACE IS ALSO PUT AT RISK IF THE AIRBAG IS DEPLOYED. THIS COULD RESULT IN A POTENTIALLY SERIOUS INJURY TO THE PRIMARY DRIVER IF THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED WITH THE SEAT IN THE DEFAULT POSITION. The contact stated that the ABS warning light was illuminated, and a message indicating that the brake light bulb had failed was displayed even though the bulb was operable. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the ABS module had failed and needed to be replaced; however, the part was not available. The contact stated that the mechanic contacted several dealers and was informed that the part was on backorder or had been discontinued. A local dealer also informed the contact that an ETA for the part could be provided, but the part would not be available on the expected date based on past experience. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

Jeep Wranglers 2013 has a ABS Module issue that Mopar is not having this part avaialble for replacement. There has been years of backorder on this module and everywhere you go they tell us the same. Mopar has a backorder on these and it has taken at times 2 to 3 years to get them. There has not been a recall knowing this is a known issue with Jeep all over.

My dash lights went crazy while driving. I couldn't get the vehicle into the correct gear ( automatic transmission) I shut off waited then restarted drove home. After having the codes scaned it shows C2200 code ( faulty brake ABS module) called dealer they had none to sell or buy and told me no time was given to them when or if it would be available. I asked them what's the solution to using my vehicle safely then Park it and don't drive it.. Since then I've found thousands of people just like my situation. How can you build a vehicle and be unable to supply the public with replacement parts to operate as intended and not have a recall or offer a solution to trade off said vehicle. It's definitely a safety issue when a100,000 + owners have the exact same issue and no help In sight.

After researching this issue, it should be a recall based on the highly excessive number of complaints and failures on this part. Has been ongoing for over 4 years and dealership says that Jeep Chrysler is aware of the issue and cannot get the part.

When driving approximately 45 mph and above the entire car starts to violently shake. I don't know what part causes this problem. I've heard it could be : steering damper, ball joints, tie rods, track bar, front suspension damper cause this. IDK. Until I can afford to take it to a service shop and get it checked and repaired, it sits parked because I'm afraid to drive it. This started about a month ago. Jeep (Stellantis) should be recalling and repairing ALL Wranglers with this problem not just newer models. My car has LOW miles but somehow got excluded from the lawsuit settlement apparently which is going by model years. This is a safety issue.

THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACED THE FOLLOWING TO TRY TO FIX THE PROBLEM: REPLACED ABS SYSTEM; REPLACED STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM; REPLACED OIL FILTER HOUSING; REPLACED THE CAM TWICE; SWAPPED THE CAM; REPLACED THE CAM PHASER; REPLACED ALL 4 CAM PHASERS; RE-FLASHED THE PCM; REPLACED THE PCM. TODAY IT GOES IN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE 10TH TIME TO TRY TO GET IT FIXED. IT IS A DEATH TRAP TO ALL THAT SHARE THE ROAD WITH IT, NOT TO MENTION EXTREMELY UNRELIABLE. CLOCKSPRING RECALL: OTHER YEAR MODELS OF THE SAME GENERATION WRANGLER SHOW A CLOCKSPRING RECALL, BUT MY YEAR MODEL DOESN'T. MY CLOCKSPRING HAS FAILED NOW AND I LOST MOST OF THE STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS, INCLUDING MY SAFETY HORN, AND IF MY RESEARCH IS CORRECT, MY DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG WILL NOT DEPLOY NOW IF IN A COLLISION ACCIDENT. WHEN TURNING MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS WOULD TURN ON RANDOMLY, AND THEN WHEN DRIVING SHORTLY AFTERWARDS I WENT TO HONK AT ANIMALS IN THE ROAD AND THE HORN DID NOT WORK. AFTER SITTING IDLE ALL NIGHT, STARTED VEHICLE IN MORNING AND ABS AND ESC LIGHTS CAME ON. I WAS UNABLE TO ACCELERATE AS THE REAR BRAKES WERE BEING ENGAGED BY A FAULTY SENSOR. I SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL AND BACK TO DRIVE AND LIGHTS WENT OUT AND BACK TO NORMAL OPERATION. I PULLED OUT ONTO THE MAIN THOROUGHFARE AND THE JEEP STUTTERED UPON ACCELERATION AND FELT LIKE IT WAS LOSING POWER BEFORE IT STOPPED. BOTH LIGHTS CAME BACK ON. AFTER SHIFTING BACK TO NEUTRAL, I WAS ABLE TO GET BACK ONTO THE STREET AND TO THE DEALER FOR SERVICE. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS CONDITION OCCURRED IN THIS VEHICLE. IN JULY OF 2016 THE RIGHT REAR WHEEL SPEED SENSOR WAS REPLACED BY FITZGERALD JEEP IN CLEARWATER. CODES C1035 AND C1049 WERE PRESENT AT THE TIME OF THE REPAIR. THIS FAULTY SENSOR COULD HAVE CAUSED AN ACCIDENT WITH INJURIES, AT BEST, OR A FATALITY/FATALITIES AT WORST. THE COMPUTER PROGRAM THAT ALLOWS A FAULTY SENSOR TO OVERRIDE THE DRIVERS ACTION IS A MALFUNCTION THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED.

I PULLED OVER RIGHT AWAY I SMELL A AWFUL SMELL. SO I SHUT MY TRUCK OFF. CALLED MY HUSBAND AND LEAVE MY TRUCK AND GET A RIDE TO DENTAL APPOINTMENT. WE CALLED A TOW TRUCK NEXT DAY TO HAVE IT TOWED TO AUTO REPAIR SHOP. I GET A CALL TWO DAYS LATER STATING MY EMERGENCY BREAK SYSTEM HAD FAULTED AND ENGAGED IT'S SELF SNAPPING MY AXEL, SPEED SENSOR AND BREAK ROTOR. ALL OF THESE THINGS WERE RIPPED AND EVERYTHING WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO EMERGENCY BREAK SYSTEM FAILURE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2013 JEEP WRANGLER. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VENT CONTROLS FAILED TO WORK FOR THE HEAT AND AIR CONDITIONER INTERMITTENTLY. IN ADDITION, THERE MAY HAVE BEEN TOXIC FUMES EMITTING THROUGH THE VENTS WHEN THE HEAT OR AIR CONDITIONER WERE ACTIVATED, WHICH AFFECTED A CHILD PASSENGER'S BREATHING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER MORE THAN THREE TIMES, BUT THEY WERE UNABLE TO REPLICATE AND DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT WAS NOT EXPERIENCING ANY ENGINE FAILURES BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR A MANUFACTURER RECALL WHERE THE DEALER REPLACED THE ENGINE SENSORS AND THE TRANSMISSION. THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED AFTER THE REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHO PROVIDED NO SOLUTION AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT SHORTLY AFTER LEAVING THE DEALER, SMOKE EMITTED INTO THE VEHICLE AND FLAMES APPEARED UNDER THE HOOD. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT EXTINGUISHED THE FLAMES. A REPORT WAS NOT FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DESTROYED AND WAS TOWED TO THE CONTACTS RESIDENCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND STATED THAT THEY WOULD PROVIDE AN INVESTIGATION. THE CONTACT WAS STILL WAITING ON A RESPONSE FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

VEHICLE UPON LEAVING A STORE, (JUST BEGAN TO RAIN HARD), THE LIGHTS, WIPERS, CRUISE CONTROL, HORN, AND ALL FUNCTIONS ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND LEFT AND RIGHT STALK STOPPED WORKING. I ASSUME THE AIRBAG IS ALSO NOT FUNCTIONAL. NO CODES WERE REGISTERED IN THE VEHICLE FOR MALFUNCTION EITHER. IT HAS BEEN A WEEK AND IT IS STILL NOT FUNCTIONING. POSSIBLY THE CLOCK SPRING WHICH WAS RECALLED FOR 2007-2012, BUT 2013+ VEHICLES WERE EXCLUDED EVEN THOUGH IT IS THE SAME PART USED IN THE LATER MODEL VEHICLES. HUGE SAFETY HAZARD!

JEEP HAS BEEN STALLING FOR 7 MONTHS. BEEN IN SHOP 9 TIMES. JEEP STALLS GOING AT DIFFERENT SPENDS, WHILE STOPPED, MOVING AT IDLE IN FORWARD OR REVERSE. JEEP WILL NOT START UNLESS TERMINAL ON BATTERY REMOVED OR SITS FOR AWHILE. TRANSMISSION FAILS TO ENGAGE OCCASIONALLY IN REVERSE OR DRIVE AFTER STALLING. LAST PROGRAM DOWNLOAD APPEARS TO BE A FAULT WITH THE TIPM (TOTALLY INTERGRATED POWER MODULE). PTM AND TPM CHANGED OUT DUE TO DIFFERENT READINGS IN DOWNLOADS. MECHANIC BELIEVES NOW, THAT THE TIPM IS FAULTY. JEEP HAS STALLED UP TO 5 & 6 TIMES ON SOME DAYS.

A WEEK AGO I NOTICED WHEN I STARTED THE JEEP IN THE MORNING THE AIR BAG AND THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS ON THE DASH CAME ON. THE CRUISE CONTROL QUIT WORKING ALONG WITH THE RADIO CONTROLS ON THE STEERING WHEEL. THE JEEP IS PARKED ON THE STREET. I DISCONNECTED THE BATTERY FOR ABOUT 30 MIN. I RECONNECTED THE BATTERY AND STARTED IT UP. THE AIR BAGS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS WERE STILL ON IN THE DASH. THE STEERING CONTROLS DO NOT WORK. AS I BEGIN TO PULL INTO HEAVY TRAFFIC, I HEAR AND SEE THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WARNING ALONG WITH THE SKID CONTROL LIGHT ILLUMINATING. THE CAR THEN STALLS LEAVING ME SITTING IN 70 MPH TRAFFIC. THE VEHICLE STARTS BACK UP BUT HAS A NOTICEABLE LOSS OF POWER. THIS LOSS OF POWER CONTINUED UNTIL I GOT HOME. WHEN I FINALLY GET HOME I USE A CODE READER WHICH INDICATED IT WAS A CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR. CODE P0344. PURCHASED VEHICLE USED IN MAY 2015. I'M THE SECOND OWNER. ON APPROXIMATELY AUG. 29, WHILE DRIVING AND MAKING A LEFT TURN FROM A STOP, I HEARD A BANGING NOISE. THE SAME BANGING NOISE HAPPENED ABOUT 1 WEEK LATER (SEP. 3), BUT THIS TIME WHEN TURNING RIGHT FROM A STOP. I DROVE THE VEHICLE HOME AND INSPECTED UNDER THE VEHICLE TO CHECK IT OUT. I DISCOVERED THAT THE UPPER CONTROL ARMS ON BOTH THE DRIVER REAR AND PASSENGER REAR SIDES WERE COMPLETELY BROKEN. VEHICLE IS STILL UNDER 3 YEAR 36/000 FACTORY WARRANTY AND I ALSO PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. THE DEALER PROVIDED A "RECALL REPORT" WHICH CAME BACK CLEAN. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN PARKED SINCE SEP 3. I AM HAVING IT TOWED TO A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN A COUPLE OF DAYS AFTER PARTS COME IN FOR REPAIR. THIS VEHICLE COULD HAVE COME TOTALLY APART HAD I BEEN DRIVING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED. MY ABS BRAKES COME ON AT LOW SPEEDS USUALLY WHEN I'M JUST STARTING OUT DRIVING. THE ONLY WAY FOR ME TO CONTINUE DRIVING IS TO DISABLE THE SKID CONTROL. THE ABS LIGHTS WILL STAY ON AND THE ANTE SKID CONTROL LIGHT WILL STAY ON FOR A BRIEF AMOUNT OF TIME SOMETIMES IT WILL GO OFF AND SOMETIMES IT WILL JUST STAY ON. THE ONLY TIME THAT IT SEEMS TO NOT HAPPEN IS WHEN THE CAR IS ON A FLAT SURFACE AND I JUST STARTED OUT AND ALL TIRES ARE STRAIGHT. I TESTED A THEORY THAT I COULD PUT IT IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE AND START DRIVING AND THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKES WOULDN'T COME ON AND THAT WORK FOR THE LONGEST TIME. THE MINUTE I DESCRIBED IT TO A FRIEND OF MINE AND TESTED IT OUT IT FAILED ANTI-LOCK BRAKES CAME ON WHEN I WAS IN 4 WHEEL DRIVE AT LOW SPEED.

THE DEALER REPLACED THE STEERING PUMP TWICE, THE DYNAMIC SENSOR DUE TO THE TRACTION CONTROL SENSOR ILLUMINATING. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT INDICATED THAT WHILE TRAVELING OVER 55 MPH, AN ABNORMAL NOISE EMITTED FROM THE STEERING WHEEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO REPLACED THE SEALS AND AFTER THE REPAIR WATER LEAKED ON THE FRONT PASSENGERS SIDE. THE LEFT SIDE VALVES HAD TO BE REPLACED DUE TO A TICKING NOISE AND TWO MONTHS LATER THE RIGHT SIDE VALVE WERE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 48,000.

SEVERAL MILES FROM HOME I CROSSED A BRIDGE DOING BETWEEN 45 AND 50 MILES PER HOUR AND THE JEEP STARTED BOUNCING AND SHAKING SO BAD (LIKE IT HAD 4 SQUARE TIRES) AND VEERING TO THE LEFT. I HAD NO CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AS THE STEERING WHEEL WAS SHAKING SO HARD I HAD TROUBLE HOLDING ONTO IT. I BRAKED REALLY SLOW AND KEPT IT ON THE ROAD TILL IT CAME TO A STOP. I HAD JUST MET A VEHICLE ON A TWO LANE COUNTRY ROAD (WHICH ARE NOT VERY WIDE AND NO SHOULDER) AND WAS LUCKY THERE WAS NO ONE ELSE COMING TOWARDS ME, OTHERWISE IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A SERIOUS/FATAL ACCIDENT. THE DEALERSHIP LOOKED AT ONLY TO TELL ME THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE JEEP AND THAT I MUST DID NOT KNOW HOW TO HANDLE THE VEHICLE ON ROUGH ROADS. THE HILL START ASSIST MALFUNCTIONS CONSTANTLY, THIS CAN STALL THE ENGINE WHEN STARTING OUT IN TRAFFIC AND CAUSE EXCESSIVE WARE ON THE BRAKES AND CLUTCH. THERE ARE 2 SWITCHES THAT TELL THE COMPUTER WHEN THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS PRESSED. ONE WHEN YOU FIRST START TO PRESS IN THE CLUTCH AND ANOTHER THAT TELLS THE COMPUTER WHEN THE CLUTCH IS PRESSED IN ALL THE WAY. THE HILL START ASSIST IS PROGRAMMED TO USE THE SWITCH THAT TELLS THE COMPUTER WHEN YOU FIRST START TO PRESS IN THE CLUTCH INSTEAD OF THE SWITCH THAT TELLS THE COMPUTER WHEN THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS FULLY PRESSED. THIS CAUSES THE BRAKES TO STAY LOCKED UP EVEN AFTER THE CLUTCH IS FULLY ENGAGED WHEN STARTING ON A HILL. THE COMPUTER NEEDS TO BE REPROGRAMMED TO RELEASE THE BRAKES AS SOON AS YOU START TO RELEASE THE CLUTCH PETAL BEFORE THE CLUTCH FULLY ENGAGES. WHILE DRIVING MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER, AT CRUISING SPEED OF 45 MPH, THE INSTRUMENT PANEL STARTED FLASHING RANDOM EMERGENCY ICONS. THIS FLASHING OF THE VEHICLES CLUSTER ALONG WITH SPEEDOMETER AND RPM GAUGE MOVING ERRATICALLY CONTINUED FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES UNTIL IT STOPPED AND ONLY THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT REMAINED ON. I PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE. I RESTARTED THE VEHICLE, WHICH SEEMED TO FIX THE ISSUE BECAUSE THE TRACTION LIGHT TURNED OFF AND EVERYTHING SEEMED TO BE WORKING. I PURCHASED THE JEEP WRANGLER NEW FROM DAVID STANLEY JEEP,IN MIDWEST CITY OKLAHOMA. THE VEHICLE HAD AFTERMARKET WHEELS AND TIRES ON IT BEFORE I PURCHASED IT. WHILE TAKING THE INITIAL TEST DRIVE I ASKED THE SALESMAN IF THE SPEEDOMETER HAD BEEN ADJUSTED FOR THE OVERSIZED TIRES. I HAD SEEN THE POLICE OFFICER PRIOR TO BEING PULLED OVER SO I CHECKED MY SPEED AND I KNEW I WAS GOING THE CORRECT SPEED. SINCE THAT TIME I MAKE IT A HABIT TO DRIVE BY THE MOBILE SPEED RADARS THAT ARE PLACED AROUND TOWN AND EVERY TIME MY SPEEDOMETER IS 5MPH OFF. MY WIFE AND I HAD JUST LEFT A LOCAL BUSINESS MID-DAY ON A WARM DRY SUMMER DAY. WAS LESS THAN A BLOCK AWAY AND TRAVELING SLOWLY AT APPROX 20 MPH. APPLIED BRAKE AS WE ROLLED UP TO A STOP SIGN. ENGINE STARTED TO INCREASE RPM ON ITS OWN REQUIRING EVERMORE INCREASING BRAKE PEDAL PRESSURE IN AN ATTEMPT TO COME TO A STOP. STANDING ON THE BRAKE PEDAL ENGINE RPM REACHED 2500. I PUT THE GEAR SELECT INTO NEUTRAL. THE BRAKES GRABBED, THE ENGINE RPM SHOT UP AND RETURNED TO STANDARD IDLE. I PUT THE CAR IN DRIVE AND CAR BEHAVED NORMAL AFTER THAT. THIS HAS OCCURRED APPROX 6 TIMES OVER PAST YEAR. TOOK IT TO DEALER TWICE WITH NO RESOLUTION. FLOOR MATS SECURE AND LOCKED DOWN. I PURCHASED A WRANGLER JEEP SPORT IN 2013 AND HAVE HAD TWO FLATS. IT CAME WITH WRANGLER GOODYEAR 255 75 17 IN TIRES. THE FIRST FLAT I EXPERIENCED WAS SIX MONTHS AFTER I PURCHASED THE JEEP AND IT WAS THE SIDEWALL AND COULD NOT BE FIXED. NOW SIX MONTHS LATER ANOTHER TIRE HAS WENT FLAT AND IT IS ALSO THE SIDEWALL. THIS JEEP HAS LESS THAN 28,000 MILES ON THIS TIRE AND ONLY 15,000 ON THE FIRST TIRE. THESE TIRES COST 290.00 A PIECE, I MEAN REALLY. WHO CAN AFFORD TO CONTINUE PURCHASING TIRES AT THIS COST EVERY SIX MONTHS WHEN THE TIRE IS RATED AT 50,000 MILES. ON FRIDAY MARCH 14, 2014 I WAS DRIVING WITH MY 1 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER ON HARMONY CHURCH ROAD (ROUTE 704) ON MY WAY TO MY SON'S ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. MY DAUGHTER WAS IN A CAR SEAT IN THE BACK SEAT, DIRECTLY BEHIND THE PASSENGER SEAT. WHILE EN ROUTE, MY 2013 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED HIT DRIFTED TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD AND THE PASSENGER SIDE FRONT TIRE WAS PULLED INTO SOFT MUD. I LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE WAS PULLED TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER OF THE ROAD AND I WENT OFF THE ROAD. THE VEHICLE STRUCK A TREE AND VARIOUS BUSHES. ACCORDING TO CHRYSLER THEY SEND TO TECHNICIAN TO TAKE A SENSOR DATA FROM MY VEHICLE AND SEND TO DETROIT FOR FURTHER ANALYSIS. COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO I RECEIVED LETTER FROM CHRYSLER GROUP LLC. THE LETTER CONTENTS ARE THE PURPOSE OF THE AIRBAG IS TO DEPLOY IN THOSE IMPACTS WHERE THE ACCIDENT SEVERITY IS GREAT ENOUGH AND THE FRONT-END CRUSH CANNOT MANAGE ALL OF THE ENERGY OF THE IMPACT AND LOWER THE LONGITUDINAL (FRONT TO BACK) DECELERATION IN THE OCCUPANT COMPARTMENT TO THE DESIRED LEVELS. WHILE TRAVELING DOWN A HIGHWAY AT 55, I ADJUSTED MY POSITION IN THE SEAT. THE VEHICLE WAS IN CRUISE CONTROL. I PLACED MY FEET ON THE CARPET IN FRONT OF THE SEAT AND PUSHED MYSELF UP AND BACK INTO THE SEAT TO ADJUST MY COMFORT AND POSITION. THE CARPET AND CARPET MAT WENT UP INTO THE BRAKE AND ACCELERATOR PEDALS. THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATE. WITH MY FEET I PULLED THE CARPET AND THE MAT BACK AND OUT OF THE PEDALS. STOPPED THE VEHICLE AND MOVED OFF TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY. I GOT OUT OF THE VEHICLE TO SEE THE CAUSE. THE DRIVER SIDE CARPET IS A SEPARATE PIECE OF CARPET WITH A MAT ATTACHED BY A HOOK THAT IS PART OF THE CARPET. THE CARPET DOES NOT SEEM TO HAVE ANY BACKING. IT LOOKS SPUN. THE DRIVER POSITION CARPET IS A SEPARATE PIECE THAT TERMINATES ABOUT 6 TO 10 INCHES UNDER THE DRIVER'S SEAT. THE CARPET HAS HOLES THAT ALLOW THE DRIVER SEAT FRAME TO ATTACH TO THE FLOOR OF THE VEHICLE WITHOUT CLAMPING THE CARPET DOWN. THERE IS NO CLAMPING FORCE HOLDING THE CARPET DOWN UNDER THE DRIVER SEAT. THE CARPET END UNDER THE SEAT IS PLACED UNDER THE CARPET COMING FROM THE BACK SEAT. I DID NOT NOTICE ANY ATTACHMENT BETWEEN THE FRONT AND BACK CARPET TO HOLD THE CARPET IN PLACE. MY ACTION OF PUSH WITH MY FEET TO ADJUST MY COMFORT AND POSITION RIPPED THE CARPET ON THE OUTSIDE EDGE BY THE DRIVER SIDE DOOR AND STRETCHED THE CARPET ON THE RIGHT SIDE, WHICH LET THE LEFT SIDE OF THE CARPET TO MOVE UP INTO THE BREAK AND ACCELERATOR PEDALS. I REPLACED CARPET MAT WITH THE HARD MOLDED RUBBER MATS. THESE MATS SEEM TO KEEP THE CARPET AND MATS FROM MOVING UP INTO THE PEDALS. THE MATS AND CARPET STILL SHIFT FORWARD AND I HAVE TO ADJUST THEM WHEN THE CARPET GETS TOO FAR FORWARD. *TR
