I am having my oil cooler housing replaced once again after having replaced only 4 years ago. I am on my 3rd radiatior and 3 thermostat. This jeep is not driven hard or offroad and has been maintained in excellent condition. This engine is junk and not safe. I have not had warning lights only oil drippings in the driveway yet the oil level doesnt seem to change. If not caught this will cause your engine to lock up.

On a trip on 7/3/2025 out of state the engine failed due to a blown head gasket , which is the third engine related problem I have experienced . Other issues include: Broken exhaust valve spring, cracked oil filter housing. With being the original owner and having only 84,000 miles I feel this has to be an issue Jeep is having with my engine 3.6 Liter V6. I am lodging a formal complaint to hopefully, have help with the $11,000 quoted price to replace my engine. Thank you

The contact owns a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The contact stated that while driving 30 MPH, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, who determined that there was a misfire in cylinders #1 and #2, and the right intake valve needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle remained at the dealer and had not been driven since. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 86,096.

Took to two shops for the air bag light on dashboard. They told me this is a known issue with the clockspring and I should check for recalls. My vin shows no open recalls, but because this is a known issue with a previous recalls, i believe recurring issues should be assessed and repaired under the ongoing recall.

The steering wheel clock spring fail and jeep has always given me hassles at the dealership and it was not convenient to where I lived. So I had my local shop fix it. They asked me where and why I got it fixed somewhere else and I answered. They even have a reimbursement from for work done by other shops and they outright denied my claim. I drove a year with no airbag because they installed faulty products that allowed dust to enter my clock spring and risk my life. I want reimbursement. It was $1400 to get it fixed and I should not be liable for that when they have a reimbursement section and don’t outline what does and does not qualify. They won’t provide me with exact verbiage or where I would even see that on the page. Please help me. I’m begging. It’s so much money for me and nothing for a mega corporation like Stellantis.

2015 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, 3.6L, V6. Vehicle suddenly goes into “limp mode” while on highway due to bad ABS brake control module. Mopar replacement part number 68259556AD, but it is on back order nationally for over a year. Jeep dealer will not take to fix. Chrysler Dodge doing nothing about it, forcing owners to drive vehicles without ABS or traction control. This is not right with customers as we need car to work or it is a 2 ton paper weight. There appears to be no incentive to fix this back order issue. Please help!

My ABS control modual went out 14 months ago and no replacement part has been available at any jeep dealership. They state that this part is on extended back order. I have spent months trying to get this replacement. I believe it should be a recall. It not safe to have thousands of jeeps from year 2012 to 2020 on the road with non functioning ABS control moduals.

The ABS Module failed. The ABS now doesn't function. From what I have been told by multiple dealers Chrysler/Jeep is no longer manufacturing this replacement part. How can they get away with not providing replacement parts?

I have a 2015 Jeep Wrangler that has the brake, ABS and traction control lights on. It is a FAILURE OF THE ABS MODULE. When these lights are on, these systems are disabled. Jeep has told me that this part is on back order, due to a high failure rate. It is a safety issue when these systems are down. I have been told that some customers have waited a year or longer for the part, with some selling the vehicles. I think this problem needs a recall.

ABS Module has gone bad. Replacements are not being made, and it is unable to be rebuilt. This forces me to drive with the anti-lock brake system not working. This is my only means of transportation and I have to drive it to work to pay the grocery bill. I feel unsafe driving it, but I have no other choice. Something needs to be done, and replacement parts need to be made available. 1

The ABS light came on all of a sudden. The mechanic says the ABS module is bad. This seems to be a widespread problem as our Jeep has been out of commission for over a month now due to a replacement part lack of availability.

Back in 2015 Jeep dealership sold me a 3rd party GPS theft tracking system. I used the website to access it out of curiosity, no problems had occurred. After the first initial month of installation, never bothered with it again. In truth of it all I had forgotten all about it until 2021 when I was running a dash am wire under the dash. The module is open and exposed to condensation. The module consisting of a small li-ion battery and a circuit board that's held on by velcro. The battery had swelled and off gassed rendering device inoperable. Who nows for how long it's been in that condition. The device is still attached with blown out battery, don't even know if GPS is still operational. I don't remember the company's website or physical address and number. But according to my purchasing forms from jeep the service is titled "MOBILE TRACE". Last time I checked if li-ion and moisture mix unsafe things can happen not to mention the inhalation of the gasses.

The manual shifting lever for the manual transmission came loose in my hand while driving and rotated freely preventing me from shifting into the proper gear. This occurred while shifting from 1st to 2nd gear while negotiating a corner. The vehicle was unable to be shifted into gear and I ended up blocking the traffic in the intersection. Very dangerous loosing the ability to move forward in a controlled manner at an intersection. This particular intersection was a "round about". Doing a little research online I found many of the same complaints. It seems that a rubber bushing fails and results in a loss of shifting ability. Poor design!

WHEN THE 4 DOORS ARE REMOVED AND THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTION IS UNPLUGGED THE BATTERY WILL DRAIN OVER NIGHT TO 5.6 VOLTS, JEEP WILL NOT START. CHARGE BATTERY TO 12.6 VOLTS DOORS ARE STILL OFF BATTERY WILL DIE AGAIN. PUTTING THE DOORS BACK ON BATTERY IS GOOD WITH NO PROBLEMS. BATTERY DIES TO A NO START CONDITION ONLY WHEN DOORS ARE REMOVED. THIS IS WHILE PARKED IN A GARAGE, KEY OUT VEHICLE OFF WITH NO DOORS ATTACHED BATTERY DIES, BATTERY HAS CHECKED GOOD SEVERAL TIMES. IT IS NOT THE BATTERY.

I am getting ready to replace the oil cooler for the third time since 2022, how can I get a refund or maybe just recalling them. It seems to crack when I drive it every time it’s below 10° and I know this is not normal and it is not a cheap fix.

While driving we had a huge oil leak, with out the oil indicator light turning on. The Pentastar oil filter housing was cracked leaking oil all over the engine and leaving a burning smell. Same exact thing happened in 2022 to our jeep grand cherokee. There needs to be a recall by Jeep, this is a known defect and safety hazard !! Why no recall???

THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION WILL MAKE A LOUD NOISE AND POP OUT OF GEAR. SHIFTING IS VERY BAD TOO. THE SOUND IS SO LOUD IT CAUSES MY ANXIETY TO BECOME UNBEARABLE. I PUT IT IN 1ST GEAR AND WHEN LETTING OUT THE CLUTCH IT VIOLENTLY JUMPS OUT OF GEAR. IT IS LOUD AND SHOCKING AND OBVIOUSLY THE VEHICLE STOPS MOVING FORWARD. I HAVE TO QUICKLY PUSH IN THE CLUTCH TO ATTEMPT TO PUT IT BACK INTO GEAR TO TRY TO GET THROUGH THE INTERSECTION. LUCKILY I HAVEN'T BEEN HIT BY AN ONCOMING VEHICLE, BUT WHEN YOU LOSE ALL POWER TRYING TO TURN LEFT IT IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION. I REACHED OUT TO A COUPLE OF DEALERS, BUT THEY CLAIM TO NOT BE AWARE OF THE SITUATION. Odometer Fraud. The contact purchased a 2015 Jeep Wrangler. The contact later discovered that there was a mileage discrepancy based on the vehicle's Trip A and Trip B recorded mileage. The vehicle was a dealer sale. At the time of the purchase, the vehicle mileage was 33,000. The contact later discovered that the vehicle Trip A mileage was approximately 98,000, while the vehicle trip B mileage was approximately 68,000.

Dash lights suddenly lit up, power shut down and I had no control. Thankfully, I was able to coast off to the shoulder without incident. Dealer has confirmed that TIPM module was faulty. Upon investigation, I have discovered this is a known problem with many Jeep Chrysler Dodge products.

CLOCK SPRING IS BAD AND CAUSED FAILURE OF ALL ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS ON THE STEERING WHEEL AND HORN NO LONGER WORKS. CLOCK SPRING FUSE IS GOOD. THE HORN DOES NOT WORK AT THE STEERING WHEEL AT ALL. WE BROUGHT IT HOME AND FOUND THAT THE STEERING STABILIZER WAS HORRIBLY BUSTED. WE REPLACED THAT AND IT WORKED FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS, BUT APPARENTLY SOMETHING ELSE CAUSING THE PROBLEM. DEATH WOBBLE WILL HAPPEN WHEN HITTING A BUMP AROUND 45 MPH AND GET WORSE AT FASTER SPEEDS. IT WILL STOP WHEN YOU STOP VEHICLE AND START DRIVING AGAIN. THIS JEEP HAS NEVER BEEN OFF ROAD.

THERE HAVE BEEN 1000S OF PEOPLE WHO DRIVE WRANGLERS COMPLAIN OF THE STEERING CLUNK WHEN DRIVING. WHEN THE JEEP WARMS UP AND THE SUSPENSION CYCLES YOU CAN FEEL A THUD IIN THE STEERING COLUMN SOMEWHERE. IT MAKES YOU FEEL VERY UNEASY AND SCARED NOT KNOWING WHEN THE STEERINT SHAFT WILL FINALLY GO. MOST PROBLEMS RESULT FROM THE LOWER AND UPPER INTERMEDIATE SHAFT BEING MADE FROM 2 SEPARATE METALS AND EXPANDING. JEEP LOCATED THESE NEAR THE MANIFOLD. THE REPLACEMENT PART IS ALWAYS ON BACKORDER SO JEEP MUST KNOW THERE'S ANPROBLEM SOMEWHERE.

The radiator is poorly built and leaks, I have had mine replace several times by the dealership This is dangerous because it causes overheating in the engine which can cause hose to bust and engine to seize up . The oil filter house is engineered incorrect and all of them have been breaking causing oil to leak which again, ruins other components in the engine because of loss of oil. Its dangerous because the oil that leaks down through the outer portion of the engine, through to the sides and leaks over the bottom of the transmission onto the ground which is: 1. Environmental hazard- oil leaking causes water pollution, soil contamination, harm to animals and plants 2. Leaking oil is a FIRE HAZARD and safety issues for other vehicles causing slippery conditions for other vehicles 3. Causes engine damage and eventually failure I urge you to obtain the records of all the repairs jeep dealers did both under warranty and past the warranty dates. Your team will see what an issue this is and the 10000000s of Jeep Wranglers that have had these unsafe problems with the OIL Filter Housing and Radiator issues during and after the warranty. Jeep / Chrysler have created a deceptive way for revenue by allowing Jeep dealers to charge the customers for faulty engineering so they can gain profits in repairs that is the Manufacturer's own fault thereby gouging Jeep Wrangler owners.

My truck was making a loud clicking noise and kind or rattle. I took the vehicle in to be serviced. I was told that I needed to have all lifters, rockers and cams replaced. That these items being worn out is a known issue with Jeep Wranglers but there has not been a recall for this issue. The dealership replaced those items the camshaft exhaust, camshaft intake, arm valve, tappet valve lash, gasket cylinder and gasket intake. As stated by the dealership having to replace the lifters, rockers and cams is a known issue. Most people just trade the truck in. I would like to know if this is a known issue why has there not been a recall for this? Also because of the cams this caused the cylinder misfire in the engine.

JEEP 2014 AND OLDER ARE ISSUED A PART CALLED THE OIL COOLER/FILTER HOUSING WHICH IS PRONE TO LEAKING OIL ON ALL CHRYSLER ENGINEERS USING THIS PART. THIS IS DEFECTIVE AND OR A DESIGN FLAW RESULTING IN REPLACEMENT AND COSTLY REPAIR AND IS A REOCCURRING FAILURE ON ALL CHRYSLERS USING THIS PART. THIS FAILED ON MY JEEP WRANGLER WITH 48K MILES. THE PART IS APPROXIMATELY $300 TO REPLACE AND OVER ALL REPAIR AT A NON DEALERSHIP IS UPWARDS OF $1000.00. THIS ISSUE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL!

RETURN TO DEALER WHO STATED WORK WAS NOT RELATED TO PREVIOUS WORK THEY JUST COMPLETED AND ACKNOWLEDGED MISFIRE IS A COMMON PROBLEM THEY ROUTINELY IN WRANGLERS THEY SERVICE. DEALER ALSO STATED THE 2011-2013 TSB EXTENDED WARRANTY ALSO APPLIED BEYOND THOSE MODEL YEARS TO OTHER ENGINES FROM SPECIFIC PRODUCTION RUNS BUT WOULD NOT PROVIDE INFO. FILED COMPLAINT WITH JEEP CUST CARE WHO SAID SAME - NOT UNDER WARRANTY, REFERRED ME BACK TO DEALER. NOT ASKING JEEP TO REPAIR ENGINE WITH EXCESSIVE MILEAGE OR WEAR - I AM ASKING JEEP TO EXTEND SAME COVERAGE AS 2011-2013 BECAUSE JEEP HAS NOT CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. NO ENGINE WITH 55K MILES SHOULD NEED THE EXTENT OF ENGINE WORK I'VE HAD DONE WITH LOW MILEAGE. So I was driving into work on the interstate yesterday around 10am, and my jeep started to die out of nowhere. I almost got in a wreck. I was able to pull over on the side, and the engine light came on and I took it straight to the auto mechanic. I guess my oil filter housing unit is bad and is causing my oil to leak. The auto mechanic said this is a KNOWN issue in the design flaws of Crysler vehicles including my jeep wrangler with the 3.6L engines. This could have gone much worst for me, and after doing some more research this is happening in their 3.6L Engines and is a confirmed design flaw. The issue is reported to affect vehicles with the Pentastar V6 engine, including models like the Jeep Wrangler, Chrysler 300, and Dodge Charger, from around 2013 to 2021. They are saying it's not a safety issue, yet I almost caused an accident as my jeep started to die while driving 70 mph. This needs to be recalled asap!!! It more than likely has already caused accidents.

2015 WRANGLER SAHARA ENGINE FIRE I HAVE JUST PURCHASED 10 DAYS AGO A CERTIFIED 2015 WRANGLER SAHARA CERTIFIED PRE OWNED FROM AVONDALE DODGE IN PHOENIX AZ. IT WAS A GORGEOUS HARDTOP GREY, WITH 30" TIRES, MAGS AND AN LED LIGHT BAR. I HAD BEEN LOOKING FOR 3 MONTHS AND FINALLY FOUND MY DREAM WRANGLER. STILL WITH A TEMP PLATE AND ONE TANK OF GAS IN IT THE ENGINE CAUGHT FIRE SITTING IDLE AT MY WORK. I HAD LITERALLY DROVE FROM THE DEALER HOW IT HAPPENED. I HAD GONE FOR LUNCH WITH CO WORKERS AND PARKED IN COVERED PARKING AT MY OFFICE IN PHOENIX. THERE WAS NO FOUL SMELLS AND THE VEHICLES PERFORMANCE WAS NORMAL. The ABS, Trac control & Brake lights are all illuminated on the dashboard. I took it to have a professional check it out. It turns out the ABS Modulator is faulty, causing my Jeep to not have ABS, or traction control. This is a safety hazard as the Jeep is not known for its great handling during any emergency braking situation. Here's the worst part. Jeep has known about this for over a year without any solutions to fix it. Why haven't they been held to the standards? Didn't the government bale them out before? This is a serius Safety feature and Jeep needs to do something about this, ASAP.

•The ABS system has failed in this vehicle. The cruise control has also failed. According to research, these are related. Diagnostics show a 2200 code “anti-lock brake module internal”. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Internet research reveals that this is a very common failure with this vehicle. The parts are unavailable from Jeep/Chrysler and other suppliers. Module rebuilding services such as Module Master cannot even refurbish these modules since the chips are no longer available. This leaves many Jeep/Chrysler vehicles either inoperable or on the road without ABS. •Without ABS, the safety of our family is at risk every time we drive since this important safety feature has failed and is irreparable. Anyone driving in the vicinity of any of these vehicles is also potentially at risk due to this system failure. •This problem is persistent and has been confirmed by advanced diagnostics (code 2200, see above). •The vehicle/ABS system has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others besides my neighbor, who assisted with diagnostics. •We were alerted to the failure by dash warning lights- the brake, ABS, and traction control lights are all illuminated. •In summary, this is a common failure for these Jeep/Chrysler vehicles which has been compounded by the manufacturer’s (and other’s) inability to provide repair parts to correct the failure. We respectfully request an investigation into this issue with a directive to the manufacturer to recall these vehicles.

ABS module quit working, ABS, BRAKE, TRACTION CONTROL WARNING LIGHTS came on. I then had no speedometer and transmission would not shift. Attempting to order a replacement part and have been told by every part dealer including MOPAR themselves that the ABS module is unavailable with no estimated date for replenishment and has been for over a year.

ABS Control Module / Traction/ BRAKE - all warning indicators are lit on dash - again. Cruise Control not functioning as part of this. System is available for inspection. Replaced 3 tire speed sensors and ABS Module at dealer in July 2023 because of dashboard lights. In January 2025 all 3 dashboard lights are again lit, diagnosed by dealership ABS Module failed and needs to be replaced. In January - Parts are unavailable and cannot be back ordered, Jeep will not accept order. July 2025 I find that part can be ordered but Jeep fighting warranty replacement because order was just over the 2 year mark, yet the diagnosed failure was 8 months prior and unavailable for ordering. Multiple people are driving Jeep Wranglers without ABS Control Modules functioning properly because Jeep didn't have part. Jeep has recalled 2 other models due to ABS issues. It's a matter of time before someone is killed.

Additionally, my cruise control is no longer operable due to this issue, further impacting the vehicle's drivability. The problem was diagnosed and confirmed by Suncoast Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram, which identified the ABS module failure as the cause and provided a repair estimate for replacement. While the vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, or insurance representatives, the dealership's diagnosis serves as confirmation of the defect. At approximately 100,000 miles, the ABS warning light, traction control light, and brake light all illuminated on the dashboard simultaneously, signaling a system-wide failure. Since then, these warning lights have remained illuminated, indicating an ongoing issue with the vehicle’s braking and stability systems. The failure immediately coincided with a noticeable decline in braking performance and the loss of cruise control functionality. No other warning messages or alerts appeared before the failure. After researching this issue, I have found that this is a very common problem affecting numerous Jeep owners with models from 2007 to the present (JK and JKU models). Many owners have reported similar ABS module failures, leading to the loss of ABS, traction control, and cruise control.

ABS light on dash is illuminated, speedometer works intermittently, and sway bar dash light flashing. Power feels reduced when sway bar light is flashing. Occasionally while driving, door locks engage, sway bar light disappears and power is back to normal. ABS lights remain illuminated. No replacement part available.

The ABS and traction control warning lights came on. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a failed ABS control module, part number 68259556AD. The vehicle is now considered unsafe to drive, and I am on a waiting list for a replacement part with no estimated time of arrival, and several others have been on this waiting list for two years. Replacement part can not be found.

WHILE PULLING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY I GENTLY PRESSED THE ACCELERATION PEDAL AND THE VEHICLE STARTED TO GLAD THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT ON THE DASH AND THE BRAKES WERE APPLIED VIA THE ABS SYSTEM. THE CAR LOST ALL FORWARD MOMENTUM . I THOUGHT MAYBE THE CAR HAD JUST BROKE TRACTION EVEN THOUGH I WAS ON A FLAT SURFACE THAT WAS PAVED AND DRY. The component that is failing is unknown. Unknown to mechanics because a code is not thrown. I can be driving in my neighborhood, on the highway or coasting and my Jeep stalls. Everything else is working, radio, heater just the rpm goes to zero. I have to quick turn on my hazards and prey I can coast to safety. Once out of traffics way and I am in park my car will restart no problem. my safety is at risk because it will happen on the highway. My mechanic has checked all the sensors, fuel pump and filter, battery cables, alternator you name it its been checked or replaced. I have read Jeep forums to see what others are saying and there are over 100 other jeeps that have this same problem. People are spending thousands of dollars to change out computers several times for it to keep happening and jeep has no answers. It first happened two years ago, then about one time 6 months later and then 6 months are that it happened again. But recently its been happening everyday. No matter it I am coasting, on the highway or in my local area it will stall. No warning lights no engine lights just no response in the gas peddle when it stalls. This is going to be super dangerous if other jeeps keep stalling on the highways. Check out forums it happens all the time. Jeep dealers just want to keep changing sensors for 200 here and there.

I had a 2015 2 dr Jeep Wrangler Willy's edition. In march 2023, after sitting cold in the driveway for 10+ hours, it spontaneously combusted. It was very obviously an electrical fire based on the smell alone. It appeared that the most damage was in the area of the battery and fuse box. Vehicle was completely totaled and I found many reports online of similar issues, including many wranglers that were completely totaled after the fire. There is no official acknowledgement of this recurring issue. The fire caught so fast, if I had not been parked in the driveway faced away from the house, I might not have a home either. Insurance did not do an investigation into the cause of the fire.

My vehicle has been suddenly shutting off while I am driving. There is no warning that anything is wrong with the vehicle. The first time it happened was October 2021. When it has these failures they happen multiple times. The next day the car operates normally. There are no consistencies when this happens - it has shut off when I am driving 20mph and 60mph. There are no error messages that come up on the vehicle. I took it to Chuck Patterson and they were unable to retrieve an error code and refused to diagnose intermittent issues. They did not find any visible issues with the vehicle. I have an open case with Stellantis but they have not done anything. This issue has happened when I am driving my 2 year old nephew and is life threatening. Stellantis has not sent out anyone to inspect my vehicle. I bought the vehicle brand new special order and it has 104,000. I have not had any issues until now.

WHILE DRIVING DOWN OUR JEEP WRANGLER DOWN THE HIGHWAY MY HUSBAND STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT AND SAID HE HEARD SOMETHING HISSING THEN HE SAW FLAMES COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD. Electronic sway bar failed to reconnect after taking out of four wheel drive. Push button in cab to engage /disengage does nothing. The indicator light in the instrument panel just flashes but there is nothing in the owner’s manual that says what the flashing light means. The vehicle is available for inspection this week but I have to fix it this weekend because it is my daily driver. It has not been inspected by anyone at this time. When I went around the first corner I realized the sway bar was NOT connected and almost lost control of the vehicle. Since I was in the mountains I had no cell phone service and I was by myself so I had no choice but drive the vehicle in this unsafe condition. Upon research online I have found that this is a known problem and there is nothing to tell you if the sway bar is connected or not. Just a flashing “sway bar” indicator light. I have not taken it to a dealership because I don’t trust my local dealership. I have had it take an unusually long time (approx) 10 miles to reengage the last few outings. And the only way I know it reengaged is the flashing light went out but now I have no idea if it’s engaged because the light just flashes

While driving on the Interstate in the city at approximately 60-65 MPH, the Jeep Wrangler steering wheel and vehicle started to shake excessively. I initially thought I had a tire blowout. I quickly slowed down and pulled over. Inspecting the vehicle I did not notice any tire issues and could not figure out why the vehicle vehemently shook. We were very scared when this happened and thought we were going to crash into another vehicle/barrier and/or vehicle was going to flip. I typically don't dive the Jeep Wrangler on the Interstate and we were extremely concerned for our safety in the vehicle after this experience. I scheduled an appointment with the dealership to inspect the vehicle. During their inspection, they quickly identified it as steering dampener and was told this is a known issue with Jeep Wranglers, but Jeep does not cover the repair. I contacted Jeep Customer Service to place a customer complaint and was also told they know many instances of this "Death Wobble" but no recall has been issued yet. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to this incident.

AFTER HITTING A BUMP IN THE ROAD MY JEEP SHOOK VIOLENTLY. I STOPPED THE JEEP TO SEE IF SOMETHING BROKE. WHEN I STARTED DRIVING AGAIN EVERYTHING WAS FINE. I HAD IT CHECKED OUT AT JEEP BUT NOTHING WAS FOUND. AFTER MONTHS OF EVERYTHING BEING FINE I NOTICED A SHAKE IN THE STEERING WHEEL. TIRES WERE CHECKED AND FINE. NO ONE COULD EXPLAIN WHY THERE WAS VIBRATION AT SPEEDS AROUND 55 MPH. THIS HAPPENED A FEW TIMES AND THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE. A YEAR LATER I HIT A SMALL BUMP IN A CONSTRUCTION AREA ON THE HIGHWAY, THE SAME VIOLENT SHAKING HAPPENED. I WAS IN A CONSTRUCTION ZONE NEXT TO A DIESEL TRUCK WITH CONCERT BARRIER ON BOTH SIDES.I HAD A HARD TIME KEEPING CONTROL OF MY JEEP. THE DEATH WOBBLE IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM. IT HAS BEEN SAID THAT JEEP HAS COME UP WITH A BAND-AID FIX. WELL AFTER TAKING MY JEEP TO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WITH ONLY 40,000 MILES ON MY JEEP(MY JEEP NOW OUT OF WARRANTY, I HAD AN EXTENDED WARRANTY) AND IT COST ME OVER 3,055.45 FOR THEM TO FIX THE DEATH WOBBLE. I DO HAVE AN INVOICE FOR THE CHARGES IT IS NOT ON ME AT THIS TIME.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH, THE CONTACT HEARD A POPPING NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE RIGHT AND STOPPED IN A FIELD. THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE BRACKET TO THE CONTROL ARM WAS FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO EFIRD CHRYSLER IN FLORENCE, SOUTH CAROLINA WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BRACKET TO THE CONTROL ARM WAS FRACTURED. THE VEHICLE REMAINED AT THE DEALER FOR EIGHT WEEKS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 57,000.

First, my vehicle intermittently would not allow me to scroll through the on dash menu, then the steering wheel audio controls began to do the same. Eventually, all steering wheel controls except cruise control ceased to operate including the horn. This was all just inconvenient until the horn ceased to work. Multiple times now I’ve been on the roadway while other cars have drifted into my lane with no way of making my presence known. Finally, my airbag light began intermittently coming on. Within two days, it’s now on all the time. I understand this to mean that my driver side airbag will not deploy in the case of a collision. This is a basic safety function that is not working and is due to a known manufacturer’s design flaw.

ON TWO OCCASIONS, WHEN PASSING ANOTHER VEHICLE, THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED FULLY AND DID NOT DISENGAGE. THE PEDAL RETURNED TO THE DISENGAGED POSITION, BUT THE THROTTLE DID NOT. THIS HAPPENED IN BETWEEN SHIFTS OF THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION. TAPPING ON THE THROTTLE DID NOT RESOLVE THE CONDITION. I HAD TO KEEP THE CLUTCH DEPRESSED CAUSING REDLINE RPMS. THE IGNITION HAD TO BE TURNED OFF WHILE DRIVING. WHEN THE IGNITION WAS TURNED BACK ON, THE THROTTLE RETURNED TO NORMAL. THIS HAPPENED WHILE IN MOTION ON THE HIGHWAY.

WHILE DRIVING DOWN FREEWAY, THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS SET TO 62. IT SUDDENLY ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN (AS THOUGH I HAD SLAMMED ON THE GAS PEDAL) WHILE BEING PASSED BY A SEMI TRUCK AND TRAILER. WHEN I TAPPED THE BREAK, IT DID NOT TURN OFF. WHEN I SLAMMED THE BREAK DOWN, IT DID NOT DEACTIVATE. I WAS FORCED TO THROW IT IN NEUTRAL, AND VEER INTO THE SHOULDER. WHILE IN NEUTRAL, THE ENGINE WAS STILL REVVING AS THOUGH THE GAS WAS PRESSED. ONCE STOPPED IN NEUTRAL, I HAD TO TURN OFF THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY IN ORDER TO PUT THE VEHICLE INTO PARK. I LET IT SIT FOR 5 MINUTES TURNED OFF THEN START THE ENGINE AGAIN. I NEARLY RAN INTO THE BACK OF AN RV, AND NEARLY REAR ENDED BY A SEMI TRUCK DURING THIS EPISODE.

I HAVE A 2015 JEEP RUBICON PURCHASED NEW FROM DEALER WITH OEM PARTS INCLUDING FACTORY TIRES. IT WAS ALWAYS A HARDER DRIVE BUT AFTER HITTING 14000 MILES THE TIRES STARTED THUMPING AROUND 40 MILES AN HOUR AND CONTINUED TO GET WORSE, ALONG WITH WOBBLING, SHAKING AND SLIPPING OVER BUMPS. I WAS TOLD THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE ROTATED EVERY 5000 MILES. I HAD THEM ROTATED BUT IT DID NOT RESOLVE THE PROBLEM. I TOOK IT IN AGAIN AS WELL AS TO A LOCAL MECHANIC. THE MECHANIC SAID IT WAS THE TIRES BUT THERE WAS ALSO SOME ISSUES WITH THE BEARINGS. ALL THIS AT 14000 MILES. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE FOR A VEHICLE LESS THAN A YEAR OLD AND A PRICE TAG OF 42,000 DOLLARS. EVEN THOUGH THE TIRES HAD A LIFETIME WARRANTY THE UNEVEN TREAD AND WEAR WAS NOT COVERED. I ENDED UP HAVING A TO BUY A NEW TIRE AND TAKE THE SPARE SO THAT THE FRONT TIRES WITH THE MOST UNEVEN TREAD WERE REPLACED, AT MY EXPENSE. AFTER I WAS TOLD IF I KEEP THE TIRES ROTATED EVERYTIME I GET AN OIL CHANGE I WOULD BE FINE. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE. EVERY TIME I WENT OVER A BUMPY AREA ON THE FREEWAY I WOULD LOSE TRACTION AND WOBBLE. THE ISSUE HAS BEEN CONSTANT AND THE SHAKING AND WOBBLING HAS GOTTEN SO BAD I CANT DRIVE MY JEEP WITHOUT IT TURNING MILK INTO CREAM. I TOOK IT IN FOR MAINTENANCE AT THE JEEP DEALERSHIP, HAD THE TIRES ROTATED AND IT WAS WORSE THAN BEFORE. I TOOK IT BACK, EXPLAINED IN DETAIL AND WAS TOLD LOTS OF CUSTOMERS HAVE EXPRESSED THE SAME ISSUE BUT THAT THE JEEP RUBICON IS NOT MEANT FOR FREEWAY DRIVING THE TIRES ARE FOR MUD, THAT I SHOULD GET NEW TIRES AND JUST DEAL WITH IT, OR SELL IT. IS THAT AN ACCEPTABLE WAY TO STAND BEHIND A PRODUCT? OR AN ACCEPTABLE WAY TO TREAT YOUR CUSTOMER? THE VEHICLE HAS A DEFECT. TIRES THAT COME WITH A 50,000 MILE WARRANTY SHOULD LAST LONGER THAN 14000. SHAKING, WOBBLING, AND VIBRATING AND UNEVEN TIRE TREAD IN A VEHICLE IS NOT NORMAL. THE VEHICLE IS A LEMON AND A BUYBACK SHOULD BE IN EFFECT.

AT 11600 MILES, THE FRONT TIRES ON THE VEHICLE ARE SEVERELY CUPPED AND CHOPPED ON THE INSIDE DRIVING SURFACE. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD POOR HANDLING SINCE DELIVERY. AT 2400 MILES, THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FOR POOR HANDLING, WANDERING, TIRE OSCILLATION AT HIGHWAY SPEED. THE DEALER DID "STEERING REPAIRS" AND RETURNED THE VEHICLE. AT 11500 MILES THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER FOR IDENTICAL HANDLING AND STEERING PROBLEMS. THE DEALER REPORTED THERE WAS NO PROBLEM WITH THE SUSPENSION AND ROTATED THE TIRES. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED, AND DRIVEN AT 30+ MILES PER HOUR, THERE WAS A TERRIBLE HOWL COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE, AND THE STEERING PROBLEMS PERSISTED. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER, THE TIRE DAMAGE WAS REVEALED TO THE OWNER, AND THE DEALER ADVISED THAT THESE PARTICULAR TIRES NEED TO BE ROTATED EVERY 2500 MILES OR THIS DAMAGE WILL OCCUR. THE DEALER, AND CHRYSLER, REFUSED TO REPLACE THE TIRES, STATED THE STEERING WAS FINE, AND SAID THE TIRES NEED TO BE ROTATED AS STATED ABOVE. THE TIRES ARE BF GOODRICH MUD TERRAIN TIRES, WHICH CAME FROM THE FACTORY. THE UNSAFE STEERING REMAINS UNREPAIRED, THE TWO TIRES ARE RUINED AT 11000 MILES, AND CHRYSLER AND THE DEALER HAVE REFUSED TO DO ANYTHING FURTHER TO REMEDY THE SITUATION OR REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED AS A STEERING/SUSPENSION DEFECT, WHICH THE COMPANY IS UNWILLING TO REMEDY, OR EVEN REPLACE RUINED TIRES. MY JEEP HAS 15000 MILES AND FOR THE PAST YEAR I HAS BEEN SUFFERING WHAT IS CALL THE "DEATH WOBBLE". THE CAR ALL THE SUDDEN WILL START SHAKING UNCONTROLLABLE MAKING IT VERY HARD TO CONTROL THE STEERING. I TOOK IT TO WESTGATE JEEP SERVICE IN RALEIGH NC. THEY SAID NOTHING IS WRONG WITH IT BUT IT KEEPS DOING IT. I'M TAKING BACK THIS WEEK. THE DEATH WOBBLE STARTS WHEN I GO OVER AN EVEN SECTION OF THE ROAD AND USUALLY AT A SPEED OVER 60 MPH. I have been working with multiple mechanics to diagnose an intermittent and unpredictable stalling issue with my 2015 Jeep Wrangler JK Rubicon Unlimited, VIN [XXX] . I have conducted the following repairs to attempt to fix the issue: 1. Rebuilt Transmission 2. Replaced throttle body 3. Replaced PCV 4. Replaced crankshaft sensor 5. Replaced camshaft sensor 6. Replaced Fuel Pump 7. Replaced fuel pump fuse 8. Replaced fuel pump relay fuse Mechanic and I have traced the problem to a likely fault in the TIPM. Due to unpredictability of stalling this has become a safety issue as the car will stall in traffic. Most often between 35-40 mph and below 2000 RPM...this is always while driving and is unsafe for both me and my fellow motorists. Most recent date is noted later in this form. If requested, I can provide receipts for professional repairs noted above, and receipts for parts I have purchased to replace myself. WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE LOSES PROPULSION; THE RPMS GO TO ZERO FOR ABOUT 3 SECONDS AND THEN RETURN TO NORMAL AND ACCELERATION IS REGAINED. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR CODE IS GIVEN. THIS OCCURRED RANDOMLY FOR THE LAST YEAR. IN JUNE OF 2020 I TOOK IT TO JEEP DEALER WHO WAS NOT ABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM AND SAID THAT NO CODE WAS GIVEN. THEN IN DECEMBER OF 2020 THE ISSUE BECAME WORSE TO WHERE THE VEHICLE WOULD COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN AND NOT REGAIN POWER UNLESS RESTARTED. ON ONE OCCASION IT WOULD NOT RESTART, LEAVING ME STRANDED. I TOOK IT TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO ALSO COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC SUGGESTED THAT THE SYMPTOMS SOUND LIKE THEY ARE RELATED TO A FUEL PUMP RELAY, BUT THAT PART IS NOT REPLACEABLE ON MY JEEP. THEY SAID THAT OTHER CHRYSLER VEHICLES HAVE HAD RECALLS FOR SIMILAR PROBLEMS, BUT NOT MY YEAR MODEL JEEP. THE PROBLEM CONTINUES TO PERSIST RANDOMLY. SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS TWICE WITHIN AN HOUR, SOMETIMES NOT AT ALL. WHEN IT HAPPENS IT'S ALWAYS IN MOTION. ON JANUARY 16TH I VIDEO RECORDED THE INCIDENT WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE THE ENTIRE THING ON VIDEO THAT I CAN SHARE WITH YOU. IN THE VIDEO YOU CAN SEE THAT I'M DRIVING AT A STEADY SPEED AT 2500 RPMS. THEN THE RPMS FLASH QUICKLY TO 3500 RPMS AND THEN INSTANTLY DROP TO ZERO, AS THOUGH THE IGNITION HAD BEEN TURNED OFF. ALTHOUGH I STILL HAVE ELECTRICAL, AS MY RADIO AND BLINKERS ARE WORKING, THE JEEP VERY QUICKLY LOSES POWER STEERING. IF I HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO QUICKLY PULL OFF THE HIGHWAY MY JEEP WOULD HAVE BEEN DEAD AND STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY HIGHWAY. I THEN ATTEMPTED TO RESTART THE JEEP, BUT IT WOULD NOT START. I WOULD TURN THE KEY JUST ONCE AND LET GO, BUT THE JEEP WOULD CONTINUE TRYING TO START OVER AND OVER FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS BEFORE STOPPING. I WAS UNABLE TO START THE JEEP UNTIL WAITING FOR A PERIOD OF ABOUT 10 MINUTES. THEN IT STARTED UP AND OPERATED NORMALLY.

1. driving speeds of 60+ mph my hood lifts up. pull over to double check hood latches- take to CAWOOD in PORT HURON sold jeep. (A) don't worry it a JEEP don't WORRY it is latched. (not latch took out window and damaged hood) to Chrysler in St Clair told me to get new latches metal ones. out of pocket 1 month after bought! 362.00 w/labor 2. JEEP Leaking filling front floors 3 to 4 inches of water sitting, TOOK back to CARWOOD in port Huron, mi (" it is because you can't put on roof , I said there is only one way to do so and NO it is leaking from behind my dash down to floor, hear popping noises and they said they can't find the leak, took jeep back 4times at this point called again filled back up made appointment they replaced driver side seals, came back again now I can see out my door at tip door is hard to close they said it has to be broken in, well I have an area i can see outside, water still fills jeep floors and popping is still there. CAWOOD WILL NOT RESPODE now to me NEED HELP! 3 RADIO is OVERHEATING: pictures of display stating to hot nav is no longer working and dash is hot touch and speedo area is so hot to were melting of ducks. SOMETHING NEED RECALLED OF LEAKING ISSUESS! 4. light tin noise in the floor Colum near the area that fills water to floors: took to jeep dealer: stated there was play in the driver shaft but after no call backs for warranty coverage after 2 wks. $3852.00 cost repair since no calls back on when they will get it into repair took to local dealer asked was anything leaking jeep fluids and is my driveshaft loss or needs anything. (A) nothing was taken apart to look at driveshaft to see if it was bad bolts not even removed nothing was wet oil nothing what dealer stated is wrong, STILL can't find any of my complains which is listed below leaking water, popping noises in dash; dash so hot melts ducks, tin noises NO HELP JEEP need to recall before FIRE and DEATH happens. WHY NO HELP CRYSLER JEEP!

I BOUGHT THE JEEP APRIL 4, 2015. ON JULY 19, 2015 I PARKED MY CAR IN THE DRIVEWAY AND 3 HOURS LATER AT 5:30 MY DOG WORK ME UP AND I LOOK OUTSIDE AND THE WHOLE FRONT END OF THE JEEP WAS IN FLAMES. WE WERE ABLE TO GET THE FIRE OUT BUT IT WAS A TOTAL LOSS.

Appears the Jeep in order to save money has put people in a dangerous issue the vehicle has NO dash light in the day time in less you turn on the parking lights or headlights, I understand that daytime running lights are not required ( SHOULD BE A LAW )there are no daytime running lights so NO dash lights and on a over cast day you can not see the speedometer. I have looked on the Wranglers owners site and appears most jeeps do not have dash lights in the day time the instrument panel sets far enough into the dash you just can not see the instruments. This is a dangerous as you don't know your speed.

SIGNAL SAFETY: MY COMPLAINT IS THE POOR DESIGN AND SERIOUS SAFETY FLAW OF THE FRONT-END SIDE MARKERS ON ALL 2007 TO PRESENT DAY, JEEP JK/U WRANGLER MODELS. ALTHOUGH THESE VEHICLES HAVE LIGHTED FRONT-END SIDE MARKERS, THEY DO NOT HAVE A TURN INDICATOR FEATURE INSTALLED, CREATING A SERIOUS HAZARD TO DRIVERS WHEN CHANGING LANES, MERGING INTO TRAFFIC, OR SIMPLY TURNING. OTHER VEHICLES AND/OR PEDESTRIANS THAT ARE ALONG EITHER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE AND ARE UNABLE TO VISUALLY SEE THE REAR OR FRONT OF THE VEHICLE, HAVE NO INDICATION OF THE DRIVER'S INTENTIONS WHEN PERFORMING ANY OF THE ACTIONS MENTIONED EARLIER. ALTHOUGH FEDERAL AND MOST STATE LAWS REQUIRE LIGHTED FRONT AND REAR WARNING/SIGNAL INDICATORS, I AM UNSURE WHAT IS REQUIRED FOR SIDE/ABEAM SIGNALS. TWICE, END OF MAY 2019 AND FEBRUARY OF 2020 I HAD SCHEDULED OIL CHANGES DONE AT SAME DEALER. BY THE END OF THOSE DAYS, JEEP WOULD NOT RUN, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BLINKING AND WOULD BARELY START, NOT RUN. BOTH TIMES TOWED BACK TO DEALERSHIP, BOTH TIMES UNDER WARRANTY. FIRST TIME I WAS TOLD A BROKEN VALVE SPRING AND VALVE COVER HAD LEAKED OIL INTO IGNITION SYSTEM. VALVE SPRING/COVER WORK COVERED, TUNE UP AND REDOING IGNITION SYSTEM NOT...? WAS TOLD TO CONTACT MANUFACTURER, THEY TOLD ME TO CONTACT DEALER. THIS TIME(2/2020) TOWED IN, TOOK SIX DAYS TO BE TOLD BROKEN VALVE SPRING/VALVE COVER BUT ALSO A DEFECTIVE CYLINDER HEAD. ALSO TOLD CYLINDER HEAD ON BACK ORDER, COULD BE MONTHS. VEHICLE IS MAINTAINED ACCORDING TO MANUFACTURERS SCHEDULES, DON'T DO TRACTOR PULLING WITH IT, THIS APPEARS TO BE A KNOWN DEFECTIVE, JUST LIKE THE BAD RADIATORS OR HEATING SYSTEM GOOPED UP WITH SAND. LAST FRIDAY AFTERNOON (12/13/19) I HAD A SIGNIFICANT BRAKE MALFUNCTION WHERE I BELIEVE THE ABS SYSTEM FALSELY THOUGHT A WHEEL WAS LOCKED UP AND RELEASED THE BRAKES OR MADE THEM MUCH LESS EFFECTIVE DURING A NORMAL STOP (MY INTERPRETATION OF WHAT HAPPENED ' ESPECIALLY AFTER SOME ONLINE RESEARCH). I WAS TRAVELLING AT APPROX. 45 MPH AND THE LIGHT AHEAD TURNED YELLOW AND I PRESSED THE BRAKES TO STOP. THE BRAKES WERE INEFFECTIVE, AND I REALIZED I WAS NOT GOING TO BE ABLE TO STOP IN TIME BEFORE ENTERING THE INTERSECTION. I DECIDED TO RUN THE LIGHT AND PULL OVER ON THE SHOULDER IMMEDIATELY. I THEN PROCEEDED TO DRIVE AGAIN IN A SLOW FASHION AND APPLY THE BRAKES. I HAD THE SAME INEFFECTIVE RESPONSE. I TRIED A THIRD TIME WITH THE SAME RESULTS. I BELIEVE THE ABS WAS BEING ENGAGED FALSELY. I WAS ALONE IN THE VEHICLE AND NO CARS WERE IN FRONT OF ME. I AM CERTAIN THAT IF I WAS ON A CROWDED MAJOR HIGHWAY AND I WAS HAD TO STOP I WOULD HAVE CRASHED ' UNNECESSARILY BECAUSE THERE WAS NO NEED FOR THE ABS TO ENGAGE. THE ABOVE INCIDENT OCCURRED APPROX. 3 HOURS AWAY FROM MY HOUSE IN THE VICINITY OF DAVENPORT. I BROUGHT THE JEEP TO POSNER JEEP WHO CHECKED THE VEHICLE AND RE-INITIALIZED THE ABS AND SAID THEY DIDN'T FIND ANY PROBLEM. I BOUGHT THE JEEP IN 2015 FROM ARRIGO DODGE IN TAMARAC AND HAVE HAD SEVERAL ISSUES WITH THE ABS SYSTEM AND SENSORS. I STRONGLY FEEL THAT THE ISSUE CAN HAPPEN AGAIN AND CAN CAUSE ACCIDENTS AND POSSIBLY DEATHS IF NOT DEALT WITH APPROPRIATELY.

HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING DEATH WOBBLE WHILE DRIVING SINCE BUYING MY 2015 JEEP WRANGLER. BROUGHT IT TO JEEP AND THEY SAID THEY NEVER HEARD OF DEATH WOBBLE, BUT WOULD CHECK IT OUT. OF COURSE, THEY FOUND NOTHING WRONG. BROUGHT IT TO A LOCAL GARAGE THAT ENDED UP REPLACING THE STEERING DAMPER. NOW I SEE THERE IS A RECALL FOR 2018 AND 19 MODELS. CAN I GET A REFUND FROM JEEP?

I RECENTLY PURCHASED A NEW JEEP RUBICON UNLIMITED AND HAD THE DEALER INSTALL A MOPAR 4 INCH FACTORY APPROVED LIFT KIT. THE KIT HAS A LOT OF ISSUES WITH IT AND NOT A WHOLE LOT OF ANSWERS TO FIX THEM. I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE WITH MY 13 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WHEN THE STEERING WHEEL STARTED TO SHAKE UNCONTROLLABLY AND WE HEADED INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. I WAS ABLE TO GET CONTROL OF THE JEEP ONLY BY SLAMMING ON THE BRAKES AND TURNING AWAY FROM THE ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THE DEALERSHIP HAS BEEN VERY HELPFUL WITH TRYING TO ANSWER MY QUESTIONS BUT THEY ARE NOW SAYING THIS IS A MOPAR PARTS ISSUE AND THEY ARE IN A HOLDING PATTERN UNTIL THEY CAN GET SOME ANSWERS. I CALLED MOPAR AND THEY SAID IT IS THE DEALERS RESPONSIBILITY AND CHRYSLER HAS THE FINAL SAY ABOUT THE REPAIR PROCESS. THE JEEP HAS LESS THAN 800 MILES ON IT AND IM IN A RENTAL MINIVAN. TOO COOL !!!!!! LIST OF ISSUES : ALIGNMENT CASTOR CANNOT BE CORRECTED TO FACTORY SPECS DUE TO LACK OF ADJUSTMENT. FRONT AXLE IS NOT CENTERED DUE TO LACK OF ADJUSTMENT STEERING DRAG LINK DIGS INTO INSIDE OF WHEEL AND KNOCKS OFF THE BALANCE WEIGHTS. THE TRACK BAR BRACKET IS NOT STRONG ENOUGH AND HAS BENT ALLOWING THE STABILIZER AND TRACK BAR TO HAVE EXCESSIVE PLAY. THESE ISSUES ALL DEAL WITH THE STEERING COMPONENTS AND WAS CAUSED BY THE INSTALLATION OF THIS LIFT KIT.

MY JEEP CAUGHT FIRE WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY DUE TO A RUPTURED FUEL LINE SPEWING FUEL ONTO THE NEARBY PASSENGER SIDE EXHAUST MANIFOLD. WHEN I EXITED THE VEHICLE, A FLUID WAS ON FIRE DRIPPING DOWN FROM BELOW THE FUEL TANK. AFTER A FEW MINUTES, THE FIRE GOT TO THE ENGINE BAY AND MELTED ALL THINGS PLASTIC. I WENT TO THE SALVAGE YARD THE NEXT DAY TO SEE WHAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THE FIRE AND NOTICED THAT THE FUEL LINES WERE GONE. UPON COMPARING THEM WITH ANOTHER JEEP WRANGLER JKU WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION, IT APPEARS THAT THERE ARE TWO PLASTIC-LIKE LINES SHOW THE POTENTIAL OF RUBBING TOGETHER AND CAUSING THE LINES TO EVENTUALLY RUB OPEN. WITH THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD JUST A FEW INCHES AWAY, THIS IS A REAL POTENTIAL DANGER TO THE OCCUPANTS OF THE VEHICLE.

WE BOUGHT OUR JEEP IN JULY 2015. WENT ON VACATION TO OREGON IN AUGUST 2015 AND THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. WE DROVE TO WINCHESTER BAY TO A JEEP DEALER WHERE THEY DIAGNOSED THAT A CYLINDER MISFIRED. BUT THEY SAID TO DRIVE IT BACK TO CALIFORNIA TO THE JEEP DEALER WHERE WE BOUGHT IT. AFTER THAT WHEN DRIVING THE JEEP THE TRACTION LIGHT COMES ON AND AT THE SAME TIME THE ACCELERATOR STOPS WORKING. THE LIGHT STAYS ON FOR ABOUT 4-6 SECONDS, BUT SO DOES THE ACCELERATOR. THIS WAS HAPPENED 9 DIFFERENT TIMES. WE HAVE TAKEN THE JEEP INTO THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND THEY KEEP THE JEEP FOR A WEEK. THIS HAPPENED 3 TIMES, SO FOR 3 WEEKS WE DIDN'T HAVE OUR JEEP AND HAD TO RENT A CAR (WHICH JEEP PROVIDED). THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE TRACTION LIGHT GOING ON. AFTER THE THIRD TIME, THE DEALER WOULD NOT LET US BRING IN OUR JEEP TO THEM SO WE HAD TO CALL THE JEEP SOLUTION, WHICH IS A JOKE. THEY ONLY TRY TO FIND ANOTHER DEALER TO LOOK AT IT. SO WE TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE SAME PROBLEM. THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND WHEN THE TRACTION LIGHT COMES ON AND THE ACCELERATOR STOPS WORKING, HOW DANGEROUS IT IS WHEN DRIVING 70 MPH IN TRAFFIC AND THEN THE SPEED GOES DOWN TO 63 IN SECONDS. I WAS FLIPPED OFF, CUT OFF AND YELLED OUT BY OTHER DRIVES WHO THOUGHT I WAS SLOWING DOWN ON PURPOSE. I HAVE BEEN RENTING CARS TO DRIVE LONG DISTANCES BECAUSE I AM AFRAID TO DRIVE IT ON THE FREEWAY TOO FAR. SOME ONE NEEDS TO FIX OUR JEEP AND UNDERSTAND HOW DANGEROUS THIS IS. AT 34,000 MILES I STARTED TO EXPERIENCE A ROTATIONAL VIBRATION IN THE FRONT END OF MY VEHICLE AND THE DRIVERS FRONT SUSPENSION STARTED TO GET LOUDER OVER A COUPLE WEEKS SO I TOOK THE CAR TO A DEALERSHIP, THEY DIAGNOSED IT AS THE BALL JOINTS WERE WORN AND THEY SAID IT WAS STILL LOUD DUE TO TIRES AGE (WHICH WERE ROTATED WITH EVERY OIL CHANGE AT APPROX 4,000 MILES). THE TIRES WERE NOT WORN DUE TO AGE BUT INSTEAD CUPPED DUE TO DAMAGED SUSPENSION COMPONENT, THE DEALERSHIP THAT I HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED AT ON 12/15/2016 AT 32,534 MILES FOUND THE TREAD DEPTH TO BE AT 8/32 OR GREATER. I TOOK THE VEHICLE IN A FEW DAYS LATER BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP THAT DID THE REPAIR AND THEY FOUND THE TREAD DEPTH TO BE AT 9/32.

I BOUGHT MY JEEP USED WITH APPROX. 22,000 MILES ON IT ON JANUARY 1,2017. I HAD BEGAN SMELLING BURNING FROM UNDER THE JEEP. WITH A OIL CHANGE THE MAN STATED THAT IT WAS LEAKING FROM THE FRONT AND REAR AXIL ASSEMBLY. I CALLED THE DEALER AND EXPLAINED THE PROBLEM AND MADE A APPOINTMENT. I HAD APPROX. 35000 MILES ON THE JEEP. I WAS TOLD AFTER PICKING UP MY JEEP BY THE DEALERSHIP THAT THE LEAKS WERE FIXED. IN ABOUT A 2 WEEKS I COULD STILL SMELL BURNING. I THOUGHT IT MAY BE RESIDUAL FROM BEING FIXED. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I CALLED TO MAKE APPOINTMENT. I HAD CHECKED THE TIRE PRESSURE AND THE TIRES FOR ANY ISSUES. I DID READ AND FOUND "THE "DEATH WOBBLE" IS A CREATIVE TERM COINED BY JEEP OWNERS THAT DESCRIBES A SITUATION WHEN THE FRONT AXLE BEGINS VIOLENTLY OSCILLATING, CAUSING THE CAR TO SHAKE (OR WOBBLE) IN A MANNER WHICH MAKES THE VEHICLE HARD TO CONTROL". I DROVE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND EXPLAINED THE ISSUE AND TOLD THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT WORKER IT WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AND IT NEEDED FIXED. I DO HAVE EXTENDED WARRANTY. WHEN I RAN OUT OF RAMP ROOM, I WOULD HAVE NEEDED TO SLOW DOWN SIGNIFICANTLY IN ORDER TO ALLOW THE SIDE BY SIDE TRACTOR TRAILERS TO GO BY. HOWEVER, BECAUSE OF OTHER CARS THAT WERE BEHIND ME ON THE ON-RAMP, THAT WAS NOT AN OPTION WITHOUT POSSIBLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT. SO I MERGED WITH AS MUCH POWER AS I COULD GET, WHICH WAS NOT ENOUGH. THE CLOSEST TRACTOR TRAILING CAME BARRELING DOWN UPON ME QUICKLY WITH HORN BLARING. ON SEPTEMBER 30TH, JUST A COUPLE MILES AWAY FROM THE DEALERSHIP, I WAS THE FIRST IN LINE AT A RED LIGHT. THE JEEP SHUT OFF. I COULD NOT GET IT BACK INTO GEAR. IT JUST REMAINED IN NEUTRAL NO MATTER WHICH GEAR I TRIED TO PUT IT IN. I SHIFTED IN AND OUT OF PARK AND OTHER GEARS TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON MANY TIMES. A FEW TIMES DRIVE WOULD ENGAGE BUT THEN THE ENGINE WOULD SHUT OFF AGAIN AFTER A FEW FEET. I FINALLY GOT IT INTO GEAR AND ACCELERATED QUICKLY HOPING TO COVER A GREATER DISTANCE AND IT WORKED. I WAS ABLE TO FINISH MY TRIP TO THE DEALERSHIP.

THERE IS A DISTINCT DELAY BETWEEN PRESSING THE HORN BUTTON (STEERING WHEEL) AND ACTIVATION/SOUNDING OF THE HORN. THIS DELAY CAN BE OVER 1 SECOND. THIS HAS BEEN BROUGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP'S ATTENTION. ABOUT 30 MINUTES AFTER MIDNIGHT ON A THURSDAY MORNING I WAS AWOKE BY THE SOUND OF MY DOG BARKING AND MY SISTER WALKING INTO MY ROOM TELLING ME THERE WAS A LARGE GLOW IN THE DRIVEWAY. AFTER WALKING OUTSIDE, WE FOUND MY BRAND NEW 2015 WRANGLER ON FIRE WITH VERY LARGE FLAMES ERUPTING FROM THE HOOD. WE QUICKLY WOKE THE REST OF MY FAMILY AND RUSHED FRANTICALLY TO PUT IT OUT. AN HOUR LATER, AFTER NEARBY NEIGHBORS ARRIVED TO HELP, AND EMERGENCY SERVICES ARRIVED TO PUT OUT THE FIRE (LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT AND POLICE) THE VEHICLE FIRE WAS DOUSED AND THE JEEP WAS HAULED OFF MY PROPERTY TO A LOCAL TOWING YARD. THE FIRE SEEMED TO HAVE STARTED AROUND THE BATTERY AREA, BUT THE SOURCE HAS YET TO BE DETERMINED. The contact stated while driving 55 MPH, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted, and the check engine warning light intermittently flashed on the instrument panel. The contact was able to continue driving. In addition, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine and the failure was progressively worse. The vehicle was taken to a transmission center; however, no cause for the failure was found. The battery was removed and reinstalled. The vehicle software was updated, and the check engine warning light turned off. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, while driving 15 MPH during the rain, the vehicle hydroplaned on the road. The contact's father was driving and was able to control the vehicle. On June 22, 2025, I parked my Jeep in a parking space in a hotel parking lot. I opened the rear tailgate to retrieve items and when I closed the tailgate, the spare tire fell off as a result of the the spare tire carrier failing and ripping in half. Half of the carrier is still bolted to the Jeep and the other half to the spare tire. There was no warning of impending failure. If this had occurred 10 minutes earlier while I was on the freeway, it could have injured or killed someone. There is nothing in the Jeep owner's manual about maintenance or how to prevent this from happening. Jeep's response was that it is no longer under warranty, but I feel this is a product defect issue. (see photos)

Parking, brake, and abs alert lights constantly alert on the dash. When reaching approximately 50mph the steering wheel and vehicle begin to shake and wobble excessively, and the vehicle moves side to side in the road requiring an almost complete stop to control the vehicle. The brake pedals go almost to floor of vehicle taking longer to stop and at times require pumping. ABS module code #C2200 per dealer. ABS module unable to be ordered, no ETA. ABS Module/brake and traction light came on in 2021. Jeep dealership said ABS Module is on backorder. The Jeep at that time was still drivable. Now, May 2025, The ABS Module has caused so many items to fail that I can no longer drive it. It is currently at the dealership and they just called to say that the transmission and 0 mph is due to the ABS Module and it is still on backorder with no time frame for them to come in IF they do at all. How can this be legal? I can't drive it and I can't sell it! It is my only Car! It is dangerous to have this problem with no fix! What can I do?

I was driving and all the dash board lights came on and it started warning beepings then it would not go over 35mph The ABS module was affected because it has a defective eyelet in the TIPM Module wiring connector that allows water to seep in I had a level 2 system testing done to find the defect. Jeep is aware of the problem because when I tried to order a new ABS module I was told it was not available because they are re-engineering it.

I have taken it to Jeep Dealership here in Jacksonville, FL and they have continually tried to order the part from Jeep, but are told that the part is. not available at this time. I called Jeep directly and have been told "Part STOCK is under QUARANTINE pending quality / engineering review and inspection. Working to obtain timing on resolve to predict allocation and shipment to DLR to fulfill No firm ETA to provide at this time. Pending response from SPLR / PKG Working to improve." Which is not really an answer. My ABS does not work, and my car cannot be put into cruise control mode without this part being replaced. I have experience a complete loss of control of the vehicle on both highways and streets that are bumpy due to dips, potholes, rough conditions due to the road. I received a misfire on cylinder 4 code P0304 and was told my vehicle isn’t covered for any recalls, but see that this is a common issue in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2017 models. I want to know if any recalls or lawsuits are going on because my dealership informed me there aren’t any and it would take a week to even be able to diagnose the issue.

The rear axel continues to blow out the bearings on both sides which ruins the brakes and calibers. 4 times this has happened and I have not been off roads. This is all on the highway. The certified technician said the rear axels need to be replaced. Jeep manufacturer said it is known as a common problem with Jeep so why am I having to pay for it. I want new axels and Jeep should cover it. Plus the electric door locks do not work and it is not a fuse. Jeep said it is a computer error on Jeep but won’t cover it.

It went into severe vibration and vibration of steering. It was uncontrollable. It happened in my first highway trip since I purchased the vehicle. The vehicle had to be towed 100 miles. Cost of this was $5697.97. After I paid $30,000+. to Autonation in Spring Texas. Car was released to me with no inspection sticker. Electrical issues were looked at by the dealership and said there is nothing wrong. Can not see at night and turning signals work on and off. Defective roof seals that are leaking into the seatbelt tensioners. When I pull seatbelts to buckle they are wet. The tensioners are sitting in water when it rains.

IMMEDIATELY AFTER COMPLETING WORK FROM THE AIR BAG RECALL MY VEHICLE BEGAN TO ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN. I WOULD HOLD A STEADY THROTTLE AND IT WOULD ALL OF A SUDDEN SPEED UP. IT WOULD LAST FOR A FEW TO SEVERAL SECONDS AND SLOW DOWN TO A POINT LESS THAN THE STEADY THROTTLE. WHEN I WOULD USE CRUISE CONTROL THE VEHICLE WOULD VARY IN SPEED BY FIVE TO SEVEN MILES PER HOUR. THIS WAS DEFINITELY A CHANGE FROM THE WAY IT OPERATED PRIOR TO THE RECALL. I USED INJECTOR CLEANER THROUGH SEVERAL TANKS, BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. THE CONDITION WAS LIMITED TO DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR, BUT HAS WORSENED TO THE POINT OF REVVING THE ENGINE WITH THE CLUTCH DEPRESSED AND NO PRESSURE ON THE ACCELERATOR. I HAD TO CUT THE ENGINE OFF DUE TO THIS UNCONTROLLABLE REV. MY JEEP CAUGHT FIRE FROM THE DASH, REASONS UNKNOWN. INSURANCE IS INVESTIGATING AND FIRE DEPT PUT CAUSE AS UNKNOWN. JEEP IS A TOTAL LOSS AND MY HUSBAND BARELY MADE IT OUT OF THE VEHICLE BEFORE IT WAS ENGULFED IN FLAMES. HE WAS DRIVING FROM SCHOOL TO HOME AND ABOUT A MILE FROM HOME ON THE HIGHWAY ABOUT TO EXIT.*DT CONSUMER STATED AS HE WAS TRYING TO SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL AND PULL THE E-BRAKE, HE WAS BURNT ON HIS HAND AND A LITTLE ON HIS LEGS BY THE TIME HE JUMPED OUT. ON THE DAY OF THE INCIDENT, MY HUSBAND DROVE APPROXIMATELY 5-6 MILES TO CLASS (AS HE IS IN A TECHNICAL SCHOOL RIGHT NOW) AROUND 6:30 AM. AS HE WAS COMING HOME, IT STARTED SMOKING ABOUT HALF WAY UP THE ON RAMP HEADING IN THE DIRECTION TO THE EXIT TO OUR HOME, MY HUSBAND SAID RIGHT BEFORE IT STARTED SMOKING IT ALMOST SOUND LIKE THAT BLOWER MOTOR WAS MAKING A STRANGE NOISE, AND HE WAS HEADED HOME TO LOOK AT IT, BUT THE NOISE QUIT RIGHT BEFORE IT STARTED SMOKING. HE DID HIS BEST TO GET IT OUT OF TRAFFIC, BUT AS I STATED, WITH IT BEING A SOFT TOP, IT WENT UP IN FLAMES RATHER QUICK. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED EVERY 4,000-5,000 MILES. MY HUSBAND HAS A MOTORCYCLE, SO THE TIME SPENT IN THE JEEP WAS MAINLY IN COOLER WEATHER OR WHEN IT WAS RAINING/OVERCAST. THERE WERE NOT ISSUE LEADING UP TO THE FIRE. WE HAD TAKEN IT ON SHORT TRIPS - LONGEST DISTANCE WAS LIKE 100 MILES ROUND TRIP, BUT HADN'T DONE THAT IN AWHILE. THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS, STATE FARM TOTALED THE VEHICLE, WE HAVE NOT HAD POSSESSION OF THE JEEP SINCE IT WAS TOWED FROM THE SIDE OF THE ROAD BY WHOEVER THE FIRE DEPT CALLED (ALLIED TOWING). AFTER THAT INSURANCE HAD IT TOWED TO A LOCATION OF THEIR OWN. I BELIEVE MY HUSBAND ONLY HAD A SUB WOOFER IN THE JEEP, YOU CAN SEE IT IN THE BACK IN SOME OF THE PICTURES. I BELIEVE AT SOME POINT THE STEREO WAS CHANGED BUT THAT WAS BEFORE WE OWNED IT AND IT WAS IN OUR POSSESSION FOR ALMOST 1 YEAR PRIOR TO THE FIRE. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THE "DEATH WOBBLE" THE FIRST TIME WHEN IT WAS ONLY A YEAR OLD WITH 10,000 MILES. IT WAS BRIEF AND I ATTRIBUTED THE ISSUE TO ROAD CONDITIONS. IT HAPPENED AGAIN AROUND 20,00 MILES. IT WAS BRIEF AND AGAIN ON THE SAME FREEWAY ATTRIBUTED TO ROAD CONDITIONS. I RECENTLY EXPERIENCED IT AGAIN AT 39,000 MILES - IT WAS SO SEVERE, AND VIOLENT, SHAKING THE ENTIRE VEHICLE- IT WAS EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE. I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AT THE DEALERSHIP. THE DIAGNOSIS WAS A CRACKED DRAG LINK ASSEMBLY, NEED FRONT STABILIZER SHOCKS, AND REAR SHOCKS. ON TOP OF THAT THEY SAID THERE IS A CRACK IN THE RADIATOR, BELIEVED TO BE FROM THE VIOLENT SHAKING. IT'S NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY, WITH ONLY 39,000 MILES - 3,000 MILES OVER AND THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING. I HAVE BEEN A LONG TIME CUSTOMER AT PLANET JEEP IN FLAGSTAFF, AZ. THIS HAS BEEN A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE AND WON'T RECOMMEND.

JEEP WRANGLER JK UNLIMITED SPORT S 35K MILES. VEHICLE WIPERS WILL NOT TURN OFF. ISSUES WHERE THE WIPERS CAN BE ACTIVATED WITH THE FOG LIGHT CONTROL AND VICE VERSA. THE FOG LIGHTS CAN COME ON AT RANDOM AND BEGIN TO FLASH ON AND OFF. IT IS TRULY FRUSTRATING TO NOT BE ABLE TO TURN MY WIPERS OFF. I WENT TO THE DEALER AND THEY DIAGNOSED IT AS BOTH THE WIPER SWITCH AND HEADLIGHT/FOG LIGHT SWITCH WERE SHORTING AND BOTH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE ESTIMATE WAS $700 FOR REPAIR. THIS IS REDICULOUS FOR A 3 YEAR OLD VEHICLE AND JUST MONTHS OUT OF THE 3 YEAR WARRANTY. MY GUESS IS THAT IF REPLACE BOTH THE SWITCHES, THE ISSUE WILL RETURN AND THEN THE TRUE CAUSE, WHICH I SUSPECT TO BE THE TIPM, WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED FOR ANOTHER $1200.

MY HUSBAND PUT IT IN PARK AS I YELLED FOR MY DAUGHTER TO WAKE UP & GET OUT. MINE & MY HUSBANDS DOOR WERE UNLOCKED BUT THE BACK TWO DOORS WOULDN'T UNLOCK. IT IS A KNOWN PROBLEM THAT THE JEEP WRANGLER HEATER CORE PREMATURELY CLOGS AND SUBSEQUENTLY FAILS CAUSING LESS HEAT FROM THE DRIVER'S SIDE DEFROSTER VENTS. DURING THIS RECENT COLD SNAP IN MICHIGAN THE DEFROSTER STRUGGLED TO ADEQUATELY CLEAR THE WINDSHIELD OF FROST AND SNOW AND I FELT THIS TO BE A SAFETY ISSUE. I APPROACHED MY JEEP DEALER AND THEY SAID "YEAH THE HEATER CORES GO OUT EARLY" NOTHING WE CAN DO, IT WILL BE $1500-2000 TO REPAIR AS IT INVOLVES REMOVING THE ENTIRE DASH. I HAVE NEVER HAD A HEATER CORE CLOG WITH LESS THAN 50,000 MILES, THIS IS CLEARLY A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT AND IN COLD WEATHER CLIMATES COLD POSE A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY HAZARD. I ASKED THE SALESMAN ABOUT THE LEAKS AND HE STATED ALL JEEPS DO THAT. .CARPETS CONTINUED TO GET SOAKED AND CANNOT SEE WHERE IT IS LEAKING SO I ASKED THE MAINTENANCE TECH AFTER OUR FIRST OIL CHANGE AND I WAS TOLD TO PULL THE PLUG UNDER THE CARPET AND DRAIN THE WATER..I AGAIN WAS TOLD IT WAS NORMAL FOR A JEEP TO LEAK..APPROX MARCH 2016 THE WIFE WAS FED UP WITH THE WATER POURING IN AND THE SMELL OF MILDEW OF THE CARPET DUE TO LEAKAGE. SHE WENT TO THE DEALER AND COMPLAINED . SHE WAS TOLD WE HAD TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WHICH WOULD BE BEYOND A MONTH AND THEY WOULD KEEP IT FOR A SPELL . NO RENTAL OR LOANER...I WORK OUT OF TOWN AND GETTING IT IN ON APPOINTMENT IS NOT ALWAYS FEASABLE BEING MY WIFE IS ON DISABILITY AND NEEDS A VEHICLE. SINCE THEN THE PASSENGER SEATBELT HAS STUCK ON NUMEROUS OCCASION AND CANNOT BE OPERATED PROPERLY.THE PROBLEM SEEMS TO BE LATCH STICKING AND NOT RELEASING. MY WIFE MENTIONED TO ME SINCE SHE DRIVES IT MORE THAN ME, THAT IT PULLS AND HAS BEEN FOR A LONG TIME. WHEN I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM CHRYSLER AROUND OCT 15TH I SENT IN NEGATIVE WORDS OF ALL THESE ISSUES AND WHEN I GOT A CALL ABOUT THESE ISSUES I RECEIVED A CALL FROM BONNIE A CASE MANAGER AND WE TALKED. SHE SAID TO GET IT TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIRS AND IF I HAD ANY OTHER ISSUESTO CALL HER BACK AND GAVE ME A CASE NUMBER. I CONTACTED THE DEALER BUT NO REPAIRS YET. THEY SAY WAIT FOR APPOINTMENT. I DID GO TO THE RECALL WEBSITE AND NOTICED OTHERS HAVING A WEATHER ISSUE, A FEW SEATBELTS AND ALSO THE SO CALLED DEATH WOBBLE. I ASKED THE WIFE FOR THE FULL SYMPTOMS AND TO MY SURPRISE IT IS THE KNOWN DEATH WOBBLE.SHE SAID IT WILL SHAKE VIOLANTLY AFTER 60MPH AND THEN JUMP OUT OF GEAR , POP INTO NUETRAL. HAS HAPPENED SHE SAID 3 TIMES THIS YEAR. JEEP HAS NEVER BEEN OFFROAD AND TOP HAS NEVER BEEN OFF..

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 JEEP WRANGLER. WHILE THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY, IT WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE DRIVER'S SEAT BELT TENSIONER DID NOT RETRACT, WHICH CAUSED THE CONTACT'S HEAD TO HIT THE WINDSHIELD. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED A HEAD AND BACK INJURY, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED, BUT NOT DESTROYED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 24,000.

I KEEP GETTING A STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT AND THAT CAUSES THE ECB LIGHT TOO POP AND THEN I HAVE NO STEERING WHEEL CONTROLS. THIS ALL STARTED AFTER I TRIED TO SUPERCHIP MY 2015 JEEP WRANGLER. SENSE THEN MY JEEP HAS BEEN IN A LOCAL SHOP FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND THEY HAVE HAD THE BRAIN REFLASHED AND HAVE CHANGED GEARS FOR THE 4INCH LIFT AND MUCH MUCH MORE. I WAS DRIVING 65MPH WHEN THE STABILITY CONTROL FIRST TRIES TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, TALK ABOUT SCARY...ANYONE OUT THERE HAVE THIS OR SIMILAR ISSUES, PLEASE HELP.

I DID GET INTO A MINOR ACCIDENT WHILE DRIVING ONTO A ON RAMP AND MY VEHICLE SKIDDED THE GUARD RAIL. I EXITED THE VEHICLE TO CHECK FOR DAMAGE AND SAW A FLAME NEAR THE HOOD OF THE CAR AND IMMEDIATELY EXITED. THE GAS TANK WAS NEVER HIT NOR DID I HAVE A MAJOR DIRECT COLLISION IN THE ACCIDENT HOWEVER WITHIN SECONDS THE VEHICLE BURST INTO FLAMES AND WAS COMPLETELY ENGULFED. THE ENTIRE VEHICLE AND MY PERSONAL CONTENTS INSIDE MELTED INTO NOTHING. I LOVED JEEPS BUT THE INCIDENT HAS PERSUADED ME TO AVOID PURCHASING THEM FOR THE NEAR FUTURE.

BETWEEN THE DATES OF 3/20 AND 8/1 MY 2015 JEEP WRANGLER UNLIMITED (4DR, 4X4) HAS BEEN EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENT CEL P0340 WHILE PULLING A GRADE. WHEN THE CEL OCCUR THE VEHICLE LOSES SIGNIFICANT POWER AND IS UNABLE TO MAINTAIN SPEED. THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM LIGHTS COME ON INDICATING AN ERROR. DURING THIS TIME THE VEHICLE WILL NOT ACCELERATE TO A SAFE SPEED AND THE TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEMS ARE NOT FUNCTIONING. THE VEHICLE WILL RETURN TO NORMAL OPERATION AFTER TURNING THE KEY TO OFF THEN BACK ON. IF THIS IS DONE WHILE MOVING INTERMITTENTLY THE CAR'S SECURITY SYSTEM WILL ENGAGE AND THE VEHICLE WILL NOT START BACK UP. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE FOR WARRANTY REPAIR 5 TIMES WITH THIS ISSUE. EACH TIME THE PROBLEM IS SAID TO BE RESOLVED, BUT OCCURS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY.

6-SPEED MANUAL: WHILE STOPPED AT LIGHTS, CROSSING INTERSECTIONS, AND NORMAL DRIVING ON ROADS, DAY/NIGHT AND WARM/COLD, ENGINE STOPS FOR 2-10 SECONDS. IT HAS STOPPED WHEN PASSING OTHER VEHICLES REQUIRING FULL BREAK APPLICATION TO AVOID ONCOMING TRAFFIC. IN INTERSECTIONS AND WHEN THE CLUTCH WAS PUSHED IN TO HELP COAST THROUGH INTERSECTION, THERE WAS NO POWER STEERING TO HELP TURN THE WHEELS! THE DEALERSHIPS INSIST THAT THERE IS NO PROBLEM AND ENGINE COULD NOT CUT OUT WHILE DRIVING? THIS ENGINE PROBLEM HAS OCCURRED AT LEAST 30-40 TIMES.

DRIVING ON A FOUR LANE HIGHWAY AROUND 2PM. I HAD BEEN DRIVING FOR A SOLID HOUR ON THE SAME HIGHWAY WHEN MY JEEP SUDDENLY ACCELERATED. THE GAS PEDAL PROCEEDED TO THE FLOOR EVEN WHILE I TAPPED AND PRESSED PUMPING MY BRAKES. I RECALL AN INITIAL ODD FEELING UNDERFOOT PRIOR TO THE CLIMBING ACCELERATION. I FELT THE PEDAL PULL AWAY DIRECTLY AFTER I FELT A VIBRATION UNDERFOOT. I WAS NOT USING CRUISE CONTROL NOR WAS IT ENGAGED . THE ENGINE WAS CYCLING LOUDLY AND THE RPM GAUGE WAS CLIMBING IN THE RED, I HAD NO CAR MAT IN PLACE BECAUSE I SPILLED A PROTEIN SHAKE A WEEK EARLIER AND IT STILL SMELLED. I STILL CHECKED VISUALLY TO SEE IF SOMETHING SOMEHOW WAS OBSTRUCTING THE PEDAL. I HAD MY HANDS ON THE TOP OF THE WHEEL PER USUAL COMFORT SPOTS. I WAS LIKE, WAIT...WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING?? I HAD TO PRESS AS HARD AS I COULD ON THE BRAKES WHILE PULLING THE EMERGENCY BRAKE UP SLOWLY TO BRING THE OPEN THROTTLED CAR TO A STOP. I NOTICED JUST BEFORE TURNING OFF THE CAR A RED LIGHTNING BOLT APPEARED ON THE DASHBOARD. MY NEW CAR WAS 4 WEEKS NEW TO OUR FAMILY. I AM AN EXPERIENCED DRIVER WHO OWNED JEEPS BEFORE IN 1989. THE GAS PEDAL WAS SO TIGHTLY PRESSED INTO THE FLOOR I COULD NOT GET THE TIP OF MY SHOE UNDER TO PULL IT UP. I WAS TAKEN FOR A DEATH RIDE FOR 10 MINUTES. THE CAR SMELLED LIKE BURNING MOTOR!
