Unless included in "Zone B" above, Land Rover is recalling certain 2010-2012 Land Rover Range Rover vehicles, originally sold, or ever registered, in Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Idaho, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, New Hampshire, New York, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Dakota, Utah, Vermont, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming or "Zone C." These vehicles are equipped with certain air bag inflators assembled as part of the passenger frontal air bag modules used as original equipment or replacement equipment. In the event of a crash necessitating deployment of the passenger frontal air bag, these inflators may explode due to propellant degradation occurring after long-term exposure to absolute humidity and temperature cycling.

NHTSA 16V374000JAGUAR LAND ROVER IS RECALLING CERTAIN MODEL YEAR 2010 RANGE ROVER VEHICLES FOR FAILING TO COMPLY WITH THE REQUIREMENTS OF FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARD NO. 208, "OCCUPANT CRASH PROTECTION." THESE VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM (OCS) MAY EXPERIENCE AIRBAG WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATION ON THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WILL BE DISABLED WHEN THE AIRBAG WARNING LAMP IS ILLUMINATED AS A RESULT OF THIS DEFECT AND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG WARNING DISABLE (PAWD) LAMP IN THE OVERHEAD CONSOLE WILL ALSO ILLUMINATE.
