The contact owns a 2015 Ram 3500. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V821000 (Power Train). The contact had experienced the failure and paid for the repair before receiving the recall notification. The contact stated he received the notification in January 2024 and took the vehicle, the notification, and the receipt for the repair to the dealer to be reimbursed. The contact stated the manufacturer was made aware of the issue however, the contact was not reimbursed for the repair. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 3500. The contact stated that after his wife started the vehicle, the transmission failed to shift into the intended gear because the gear shifter was loose. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where the gear shifter bolt was tightened; however, after the repair was performed, the gear shifter detached while the contact was shifting into gear. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V821000 (Power Train); however, the failure occurred. The failure mileage was approximately 112,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 RAM 3500. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 5 MPH, THE SERVICE TRANSMISSION AND SHIFT TO DRIVE WARNING MESSAGE WERE DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT PARKED AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE HESITATED AND THEN STALLED. THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND DROVE TO HIS DESTINATION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FOLLOWING DAY THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DRIVABLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND WAS INFORMED THE GEAR SHIFTER LINKAGE CABLE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. CROWN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM GREENSBORO LOCATED AT 3710 W. WENDOVER AVE, GREENSBORO, NC 27407, (336) 895-1348, WAS CONTACTED AND NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. SERVICE BRAKES

At about 3,000 miles I noticed a periodical head light flicker and intermittent radio issues. Shortly after that the truck has presented with periodical brake issues. My front brakes parodically drag and get hot. Typically on one front side or the other. However on [XXX] my wife and I took the truck out for a drive and both front brakes began dragging and heated up. I had to be towed 40+ miles back home. Two of my neighbors can verify I've had issues with the brakes on multiple occasions for several years now. I've had to limp the truck home on several occasions while in town and in Feb. 2025 it put my wife and I in what a consider a dangerous situation by stranding us on the side of the highway. I don't remember any warning lamps coming on but I did a scan after I got the truck back home. B170-15, B210A-16, B222C, B2861-15, P2509 & P2560 were present. I used my scanner to delete the codes and reset the EMC but am a bit hesitant to take the truck out on the road. Note: The truck has experienced a weird and harsh vibration on back of truck as well. I stop, shut engine off - do a walk around but haven't been able to pinpoint anything. Crank engine back up and problem has seemingly resolved itself. I think it's possibly a brake issue as well. At present this truck has less than 11,000 miles on it. Yes, LOL, less than 11,000 miles. Calipers and pads are in excellent functioning order. Fluid is easily pushed back into reservoir with no restrictions and no apparent degradation of flexible lines. I considered the brake fluid might have moisture built up in the system so I had a complete fluid replacement done but problem has persisted.I did read there's a recall on the the HCU/ABS unit and my truck seems to be in that category but haven't received anything from FCA. ABS Module failed and is not reading rear wheel speed. Shop isolated issue to ABS module, and hydraulic control unit. Four safety components are no longer working as a result: ABS braking, traction control, 4wd, and rear back up sensors. This appears to be a common issue with Rams HD trucks as the parts are on back order causing me to drive my vehicle with no safety features.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 RAM 3500. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO ROSEVILLE CHRYSLER JEEP DODGE RAM (2805 LONG LAKE RD, ROSEVILLE, MN, 55113) FOR TRANSMISSION WORK. THE CONTACT INQUIRED WITH THE DEALER TO HAVE THE BRAKE BOOSTERS ADJUSTED BECAUSE THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT MENTIONED THAT THIS WAS THE FOURTH TIME THE BRAKE BOOSTERS FAILED. WHILE DRIVING, THE BRAKES SEIZED AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT STOP. PER THE MANUFACTURER'S ORDERS, THE DEALER REPLACED THE BRAKE BOOSTERS AS A COURTESY. THE MANUFACTURER AGREED TO HAVE THE FAILURE REPAIRED, BUT STATED THAT THIS WAS THE LAST COURTESY OR REIMBURSEMENT. ANY ADDITIONAL FAILURES REGARDING THE BRAKE BOOSTERS WOULD BE AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 50,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 RAM 3500. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE BRAKE BOOSTERS FAILED WITHOUT WARNING AND CAUSED THE BRAKES TO SEIZE. The contact owns a 2015 Ram 3500. The contact stated while driving 60 MPH, the steering started shuddering and the vehicle made an abnormal popping sound. The contact then noticed that the front driver's side wheel was wobbling. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and inspected the wheel. The contact noticed that two of the wheel studs of the front driver's side wheel had fractured. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously taken to the dealer to be repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V398000 (Wheels); however, the dealer informed the contact that the wheel studs did not need to be replaced. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was no longer included in the recall because the recall had been marked completed. The vehicle was not repaired and remained on the side of the road. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 166,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 3500. The contact stated while driving 35-40 MPH, the vehicle started wiggling and wobbling abnormally. The contact was able to pull to the side of the road, where he noticed that the outer rear wheel had separated from the vehicle. Additionally, the contact noticed that the inner rear wheel had separated and pinched the axle, causing the wheel to support the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where an assessment was made. The dealer determined that the wheel studs needed be replaced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V398000 (Wheels); however, the wheel replacement was not covered. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 183,901.

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 3500. The contact stated while driving at approximately 30 MPH, the driver's front and driver's side rear wheels detached from the vehicle. The contact became aware of nine broken wheel studs. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact referenced the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V398000 (Wheels) however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The contact made a local dealer aware of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the wheel studs and lug nuts needed to be replaced. The vehicle remained with the independent mechanic awaiting parts for the repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 110,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Ram 3500. The contact had initially received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V398000 (Wheels). The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where the recall repair was performed. The contact stated that approximately 6,600 miles after the recall repair was performed, the vehicle started vibrating while driving at various speeds. Additionally, the contact mentioned that the brake pedal was vibrating while depressed. There was no warning light illuminated. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that all the lug nuts on each wheel were not properly tightened. The dealer and the manufacturer were notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 131,000.

Informed on recall for a wheel stud possibly breaking sending wheel flying off vehicle. 7 months later and no fix!! This could be a deadly occurence if wheel comes off vehicle and hits another vehicle as well as loss of control of my vehicle. I also tow 16000lb trailers!

TL* THE CONTACT WAS A LAWYER CALLING ON BEHALF OF HER CLIENT WHO OWNED A 2015 RAM 3500. THE LAWYER STATED WHILE HER CLIENT WAS HAULING HORSES AT AN UNKNOWN RATE OF SPEED, THE STEERING ROD BROKE UNEXPECTEDLY, CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE DRIVER DROVE DOWN AN EMBANKMENT AND HIT A SIGN, TOTALING THE VEHICLE. THE LAWYER WAS UNAWARE IF ANY WARNING LIGHTS WERE ILLUMINATED PRIOR TO THE FAILURE; THE LAWYER WAS ALSO UNAWARE IF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED UPON IMPACT. THE DRIVER NOR THE HORSES WERE INJURED DUE TO THE CRASH. THE POLICE WERE CALLED AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. UPON INVESTIGATION, THE LAWYER DISCOVERED AN ACTIVE RECALL ON THE VEHICLE UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V021000 (STEERING); WHICH SHE LINKED TO HER CLIENT'S FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE MANUFACTURER NOR THE DEALER WERE NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN LOSING IT'S FUNCTION AFTER TURNING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY, WHILE I WAS DRIVING DOWN MY STREET, AT APPROXIMATELY 20-25 MPH. IT WOULD TURN APPROXIMATELY 90 DEGREES WITH NO AFFECT SUDDENLY. I HAD IT TRANSPORTED TO THE RENO DODGE DEALERSHIP. THEY AT FIRST TRIED TO CHARGE ME FOR A REALIGNMENT. I TOOK IT TO ANOTHER REPAIR SHOP, AND THEY IDENTIFIED THAT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE DUE TO A FAILURE IN THE 'DRAG LINKAGE.' I WENT BACK TO RENO DODGE AND THEY ADMITTED THERE IS A RECALL, BUT THEY DIDN'T HAVE THE UPDATED INFIRMATION FROM CHRYSLER, SO THEY WOULD NIT FIX IT. I HAD THE REPAIRS DONE AT THE OTHER SHOP, AND FCA HAS NOW BEEN AVOIDING REIMBURSING ME. THEY KEPT TELLING ME THEY COULDN'T IDENTIFY MY VIN, THEN THE HAD OTHER 'TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES',THEY CLOSE MY CASE AS SOON AS THEY OPEN IT! THEY HAVE DONE THIS 4 TIMES NOW!

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 RAM 3500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WITH THE KEY IN THE IGNITION, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START WITH SEVERAL UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE BATTERY CABLES WERE DISCONNECTED AND RECONNECTED AND THE VEHICLE RESUMED NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE MECHANIC DETERMINED THAT THE PCM FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V475000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING) AS A POSSIBLE SOLUTION TO THE FAILURE HOWEVER, THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED. CONSISTENTLY GETTING A P00AF ENGINE CODE. PERTAINS TO THE TURBO BOOST ACTUATOR. APPARENTLY THIS HAS BECOME A COMMON PROBLEM WITH MANY OF THE RAM 6.7L CUMMINS ENGINES. THIS CAN LEAD TO POOR ENGINE PERFORMANCE AND EVENTUALLY CATASTROPHIC ENGINE FAILURE. CURRENTLY THE REPAIR COST JUST FOR THE ACTUATOR THROUGH MOPAR IS $3000. OBVIOUSLY THIS IS A RECURRING ISSUE WITH THESE TRUCKS, AT A SUBSTANTIAL COST TO THE CONSUMER. I BEGAN NOTICING THAT MY ENGINE BRAKE WOULD NOT ENGAGE WHEN DESCENDING GRADES, AND THEN I STARTED GETTING AN INTERMITTENT ENGINE LIGHT WOULD COME ON, NOW IT COMES ON ALL THE TIME. I HAD A LOCAL PARTS STORE LOOK UP THE ENGINE CODE FOR ME AND IT LOGGED A P00AF CONDITION. I GOOGLED THE INFORMATION AND REALIZED THAT THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE THAT COULD BECOME A VERY EXPENSIVE REPAIR IF NOT ADDRESSED IN A TIMELY MANNER. IN MY OPINION, A RECALL SHOULD BE ISSUED FOR THIS.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 RAM 3500. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 65 MPH, WHITE SMOKE STARTED TO EMERGE FROM THE EXHAUST PIPE AND THE VEHICLE STARTED TO LOOSE POWER. THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AT APPROXIMATE 10 MPH, THEY DETERMINED THAT THE DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER HAD BLOWN INSIDE THE EXHAUST SYSTEM AND NEEDED REPLACEMENT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 82,143. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.

MY DODGE RAM TRUCK WAS THE SUBJECT OF THREE SAFETY RECALLS, TWO OF WHICH WERE COMPLETED DECEMBER 12, 2018. A THIRD SAFETY RECALL, T25/NHTSA 17V-302, THAT, AT THE TIME OF MY FIRE INCIDENT, HAD NOT BEEN APPROVED BY CHRYSLER FOR THE WORK TO BE DONE. THE TWO SAFETY RECALLS WERE COMPLETED BY A DEALER APPROXIMATELY 80 MILES AWAY FROM MY HOME. ON THE DAY AFTER PICKING UP MY TRUCK, THE TRUCK'S ENGINE COMPARTMENT HAD A FIRE DURING MY 1-MILE DRIVE HOME FROM WORK. I OBSERVED SMOKE COMING FROM UNDER THE HOOD, TURNED OFF THE MOTOR, OPENED THE HOOD AND OBSERVED FLAMES. MY LOCAL FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO THE SCENE, BUT I HAD ALREADY EXTINGUISHED THE FIRE. I NOTIFIED CHRYSLER AND THEY SUBSEQUENTLY DISPATCHED AN INVESTIGATOR TO MY HOME TO CONDUCT AN EVALUATION. ON JANUARY 3, 2018, THE INVESTIGATOR MET WITH ME AND PHOTOGRAPHED MY DAMAGED ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE INVESTIGATOR HAD EARLIER INFORMED ME THAT CHRYSLER WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE TOW TO A DEALERSHIP WHERE A PROPER EVALUATION COULD TAKE PLACE. THE SAFETY RECALL INDICATED THAT, FOR MY MODEL AND YEAR OF TRUCK, THE WATER PUMP COULD FAIL AND "MAY" CAUSE A FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. TODAY, JANUARY 19, 2018, I RECEIVED A LETTER FROM FIAT CHRYSLER AUTOMOBILES INFORMING ME THAT AFTER THEIR INSPECTION OF MY VEHICLE, "THE INFORMATION AT HAND WOULD NOT PERMIT US TO ASSOCIATE THE FIRE WITH A MANUFACTURING OR ASSEMBLY ERROR..." THEIR EVALUATION PROCEDURE WAS HAPHAZARD, AT BEST, AND HANDLED IN A VERY POOR MANNER. I ASKED THE EVALUATOR ABOUT HIS PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND, AND HE WAS NOT AN ENGINEER, OR A MECHANIC. HE SIMPLY OBTAINED PHOTOGRAPHS FOR HIS REPORT. I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW CHRYSLER COULD MAKE A REASONED DECISION IN THIS MATTER WITHOUT A PROPER EVALUATION BY A TRAINED ENGINEER OR MECHANIC. WHEN STARTING FROM A STATIONARY OR NEAR STATIONARY POSITION, THE TRUCK WILL HESITATE FOR 1-2 SECONDS IF THE ACCELERATOR IS FULLY DEPRESSED. THE ACCELERATION MUST BE SLOW AND GRADUAL TO AVOID THE HESITATION. THE IS DANGEROUS WHEN SLOWLY MERGING INTO TRAFFIC.

SINCE RECALL #17V-562 HAVEN'T BEEN FIXED DEALER DON'T HAVE READY SINCE 09/2017 AND THIS CAN MAKE FIRE OR EXPLOSION, THEN LIGHT ENGINE CAME ON 02/01/2018 DEALER FIXED CONCERN 26 EMISSION PROBLEM, WITH BREATHER CRANKCASE , THIS IS RELATED BECAUSE WATER VAPOR ...... WHY DEALER CHARGE $1913 TO ME ON 02/01/2018 AT GREENWAY CHRYSLER JEEP AT 9051 EAST COLONIAL DR ORLANDO FL 32817, THIS RECALL 17/V 562 IF IT WAS FIXED SINCE 09/2017 THEN THIS WATER VAPOR PROBLEM WITH BREATHER CRANKCASE SHOULD BE AVOIDED. THE VEHICLE VIBRATED SO HARD THAT I SLID ACROSS OTHER LANES OF TRAFFIC TO MY RIGHT WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO STEER. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE TO A COMPLETE STOP ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. AFTER THE COMPLETE STOP, I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE AND STEER THE VEHICLE. SINCE THIS INCIDENT HAPPENED, I HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE HAPPEN WHEN I'M DRIVING WHILE TURNING AND HITTING A BUMP. I am filing this report to highlight ongoing safety and warranty issues with my 2015 Dodge Ram 3500, which is severely impacted by Recall 67A. This recall was intended to address emissions tampering, involving significant obligations for Stellantis/Cummins Inc. under the emissions extended warranty, termed the "Special Extended Warranty." Since the completion of the recall in January 2024, my vehicle has been inoperable for a total of 148 days due to significant defects. The vehicle has required six service visits to address these issues, with the most recent visit occurring on October 31, 2024, when it was towed back to the dealership. Throughout this process, I have encountered a lack of effective communication from both Cummins and FCA, and my attempts to resolve these issues were largely ignored until I escalated the matter to federal authorities, including Randall Stone from the U.S. DOJ. The ongoing failure to address these defects has not only violated warranty obligations but also poses a risk to safety, as the vehicle remains inoperable. Impact of the Problem: The inability to use my vehicle has caused considerable disruption to my daily life, preventing me from performing essential tasks, including towing a camper and transporting heavy items. This situation has also led to significant emotional distress, given the prolonged nature of the issues and the lack of adequate responses from the manufacturer. Action Requested: I seek the NHTSA's assistance in investigating these ongoing issues with my vehicle and holding the manufacturer accountable for their failure to uphold warranty obligations and address safety concerns related to emissions defects.

THIS IS A PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION BECAUSE THERE IS NO METHOD TO KNOW, IN ADVANCE, THE FACTORY INTEGRATED TRAILER BRAKE MODULE (ITBM) WILL FAIL TO PROVIDE FULL VOLTAGE TO THE ELECTRIC TRAILER BRAKES I ATTACHED MY 13,000 POUND FIFTH WHEEL TRAILER TO MY TRUCK AND FOLLOWING THE ITBM SETUP STEPS IN THE OWNERS' MANUAL, THE RESULTS WERE AS EXPECTED. THERE WERE NO WARNINGS OR INDICATORS SIGNALING AN ISSUE WITH THE ITBM'S ABILITY TO APPLY THE TRAILER'S ELECTRIC BRAKES. ON TYPICAL CITY/URBAN DRIVING THE BRAKING EFFORT FROM THE TRAILER WAS AS EXPECTED. ONCE I ENTERED A MORE RURAL SETTING AND ROADWAY SPEEDS INCREASED TO 50 MPH I DISCOVERED, AS I APPROACH A FAST CHANGING TRAFFIC LIGHT, HARD BRAKING THE TRUCK DID NOT SEND ENOUGH BRAKING SIGNAL TO THE TRAILER AND AS A RESULT I WAS PUSHED WELL INTO THE INTERSECTION. FORTUNATELY THE INTERSECTION WAS CLEAR AND NO INJURY OR ACCIDENT RESULTED..I VERIFIED WITH DEXTER AXLES, THE AXLES USED ON MY TRAILER, THE MAXIMUM BRAKING EFFORT FROM THEIR ELECTRIC BRAKES IS 12 VOLTS AT 3 AMPS PER WHEEL. I MEASURE THE VOLTAGE GOING INTO MY TRAILER BRAKES WITH THE ITBM SET TO MAXIMUM GAIN, HEAVY ELECTRIC AT 6.8 VOLTS, THE EXPECTED VOLTAGE WAS 11.9 VOLTS. THIS IS A DIESEL POWERED TRUCK. TWICE THE HYDRAULIC PRESSURE CREATED BY THE HYDROBOOST UNIT HAS BLOWN METAL HOSES APART RESULTING IN COMPLETE AND SUDDEN LOSS OF STEERING AND BRAKES. FORTUNATELY THE TRUCK WAS OPERATING AT VERY LOW SPEED. IF THIS HAD OCCURRED AT HIGHWAY SPEED, IT WOULD HAVE RESULTED IN A CRASH AND LIKELY DEATH. IN BOTH CASES, RAM REPLACED THE HOSE AND FLUID UNDER WARRAANTY, BUT HAS NOT ADDRESSED THE ROOT CAUSE, WHICH IS THAT THE HYDROBOOST UNIT IS DEFECTIVE.

I HAD TO BREAK AND THEN IMMEDIATELY ACCELERATE AND THE TRUCK HESITATED WHICH LEFT ME IN THE INTERSECTION. IF THE OTHER VEHICLE HAD BEEN TRAVELING AT A FASTER RATE, IT WOULD HAVE T-BONED ME. I LET IT DO THAT TO GAIN TRACTION AND THEN SLOWLY MADE MY WAY BACK UP. I CANNOT TOW ANYTHING OUT OF FIRST GEAR WITHOUT THE BUCKING AND STUDDERS, AND LOSING FORWARD MOMENTUM, ANYWHERE. THE TUCK HAS A HORRIBLE LAG IN THE THROTTLE RESPONSE. WHEN TRYING TO PULL OUT INTO HEAVY TRAFFIC THE TRUCK LAGS MORE THAN IT SHOULD. THERE HAVE BEEN MULTIPLE TIMES WHERE THIS HAS ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE BEEN READING FORUMS ABOUT THIS ISSUES AND HAVE COME UP WITH 2 CAUSES. 1 THE THROTTLE CONTROL PROGRAMING IS SET EXTREMELY CONSERVATIVE WHICH WILL CAUSE THIS. 2 THE ONE THAT ALMOST EVERYONE IS REPORTING IS THAT THE DPF REGEN SYSTEM IS CAUSING TOO MUCH BACK PRESSURE. The contact owns a 2015 Ram 3500. The contact stated that the gooseneck ball hitch failed to remain secured. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to dealer. The dealer confirmed the failure with the gooseneck ball hitch was related to the recall but did not replace the gooseneck ball hitch. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 18E028000 (Trailer Hitches) as a possible solution however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 37,000.

After I brought my truck in for recall Y26 they inspected the studs and said they were fine (not stretched which is what the recall is for). I took a trip and put 6,700 after the inspection and the dealer re-torqued the wheels. When I got back there seemed to be something wrong with the brakes and so I brought it back to the same dealer that inspected it before and verified the studs were not stretched, now found that the pads and rotors were damaged and the studs were studs now stretched. No problem before the recall but after the recall and new torque for the wheels the studs are stretched. Dodge said they will pay for the studs to be replaced but not the brakes. The brakes were fine before. If it were just the pads I would understand that this could be normal wear but the rotors being destroyed only on the wheels that now had stretched studs does not make any sense and given that it was inspected beforehand and only after the new torque did the studs stretch and damage the rotors it seems like they may not be fixing the issue that the recall was originally issued for, in fact, they may have made the problem worse. The representative from Dodge said they have not had any other complaints so the brake damage must not have been caused by the stretched studs.

PROBLEMS WITH INCORRECT CALL OUTS CAUSED MULTIPLE TRIPS TO REPAIR SHOPS, TO REPAIR TIRES THAT WE'RE INFLATED PROPERLY BUT READING OUT ON WRONG SIDE OF VEHICLE. AFTER LAST VISIT, DEALER REPLACED TWO ALLEGEDLY BAD SENSORS WHILE ONLY ONE BAD ONE WAS IDENTIFIED AS BAD BY DISCOUNT TIRE. WHILE ALL TPMS APPEARED TO BE READING AFTER THIS REPAIR, RIGHT REAR OUTER TPMS WAS READING A STEADY 68 PSI WHILE ALL OTHER TIRES STARTED OFF LOWER AND INCREASED APPROPRIATELY AS TIRES HEATED UP WITH DRIVING, THIS SENSOR READING DID NOT CHANGE. DUE TO CROSSED READINGS ON FRONT, RIGHT FRONT TIRE WAS INDICATING LOW PRESSURE WHILE PROSPEROUS INFLATED, AND LEFT FRONT WENT FLAT, DUE TO INCORRECT TPMS SENSOR READINGS, STRANDING VEHICLE UNTIL IT COULD BE REPLACED AND TAKEN TO SHOP. CONSIDER CHRYSLER RECALL P62 ... ALSO DEALER NOW CLAIMS THAT INNER AND OUTER TIRES USE THE SAME STPMS SENSORS, WHEN OTHER HAVE REPORTED THAT THE INNER AND OUTER TIRES ON THE DUALLY USE DIFFERENT SENSORS.. BUILD DATE 10/2014 .... VEHICLE FAILS TO START IN COLD WEATHER BELOW 55 DEGREES. WHEN IT IS BELOW 55 DEGREES, THE WIN MODULE WILL NOT RECOGNIZE THE KEY FOB AND VEHICLE WILL NOT START. I MUST KEEP INSERTING THE KEY FOB, TURN IT OFF AND ON, RECYCLE DOOR LOCKS, OPEN AND CLOSE DOOR. I HAVE BROUGHT THIS TO THE DEALER. NO PARTS AVAILABLE. BROUGHT IT TO CHRYSLER'S ATTENTION, NO REPAIRS OR PARTS. IF I NEEDED TO GO ANYWHERE IN AN EMERGENCY, IT WOULD BE IMPOSSIBLE. ATTACHING VIDEO OF WHAT I GO THROUGH. TOO MANY DETAILS, BUT WILL TRY TO BULLET RIGHT TO THE ISSUES: (TRUCK WAS REAR ENDED ON HIGHWAY 4/25/2016) -MY TRUCK WAS TOWED TO DEALERSHIP, BUT UPON "COMPLETED REPAIRS", I PICKED UP AT COLLISION CENTER -EXHAUST BRAKE FUNCTION ON THE TURBO WAS WEAKENED WHILE IN CARE OF DEALERSHIPS HANDS (OR LACK THEREOF) -DURING REPAIRS OF BODY DAMAGE ONLY, SOMEONE RE-CALIBRATED MY TRUCKS SPEEDOMETER TO MATCH MY OVERSIZE TIRES. (THIS WOULD BE SO MUCH A CONCERN, BUT THE FACT THAT MY TRUCKS EXHAUST BRAKE WAS INTENTIONALLY WEAKENED VIA COMPUTER, "NOW WE HAVE A PROBLEM" -THIS ISSUE WAS ADDRESSED TO DEALERSHIP AS A SAFETY CONCERN AS I TOW A 16,000LB TRAILER FOR WORK. (ALONG WITH NOTICEABLE WHISTLE FROM TURBO, WHICH IS UNDENIABLE EVIDENCE OF DAMAGE TO TURBO) -FIRST DAY TOWING THROUGH MOUNTAINS "WITHOUT" EB WORKING PROPERLY, I ALMOST WRECK TWICE WITHIN 15 MILES, ALL DUE TO "WEAK EB" -AFTER MULTIPLE TRIPS TO DEALER, I AM CONSTANTLY TOLD "TRUCK DRIVES FINE, TRUCK EB IS WORKING" -ENOUGH RESEARCHING TURBO AND EB FUNCTION, I AM ABLE TO FINALLY GET INSURANCE & DEALERSHIP TO REPAIR TURBO UNDER CLAIM -AFTER REPAIR, TRUCK IS GIVEN BACK TO ME WITH NEW TURBO. MY 2015 RAM 3500 HAS GONE THROUGH 3 WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITHIN A YEAR 12000 MILES. I ALSO BEEN GETTING A LOT OF BAD FUMES IN CAB WHERE YOU HAVE TO OPEN WINDOWS AT AROUND 20 TO 40 MPH OR WHEN YOU START TRUCK WHILE WARMING UP IN COLD WEATHER. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 RAM 3500. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, SMOKE APPEARED UNDER THE HOOD AND THE ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER, LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD, AND NOTICED THAT THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS ON FIRE. THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. THE CONTACT SUSTAINED MINOR BURNS THAT REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE MOTOR FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. WHILE PULLING OUT INTO TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE WENT INTO LIMP MODE AND WOULD NOT SPEED UP. A POP UP IN THE CENTER INSTRUMENT PANEL SHOWED SERVICE THROTTLE POSITION, TOOK IT TO DEALER SAID I WAS DRIVING 2 FOOT. THEY SAID THIS HAPPENS WHEN ONE FOOT IS ON BRAKE AND OTHER ON FUEL PEDAL. TO ME THIS IS A BIG SAFETY CONCERN. I WAS NEVER TOLD ABOUT THIS AND FROM READING OWNERS MANUAL THIS WAS NOT COVER IN IT. THIS SHOULD NOT OF HAPPEN FOR I ALMOST GOT REAR ENDED FOR SOMETHING THAT SHOULD NOT BE IN THE SYSTEM. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN THAT SHOULD BE TAKEN OUT OF THE SYSTEM COMPLETELY. I AM CONCERN NOW OF WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN IF THIS DOES IT AGAIN WHILE PULLING OUT IN TRAFFIC EVEN WHILE TRAFFIC IS PRETTY CLEAR. I HAVE A NEW 2015/3500 DUALLY, WITH AIR RIDE, ADVERTISED AT 30K TOWING CAPACITY, THE AIR RIDE SYSTEM DOESN'T WORK, IT HAS THE DEATH WOBBLE IN THE FRONT END, THE LIGHTS FLICKER AT NIGHT WHEN IT'S COLD, THE ROOF HAS LEAKED WATER SINCE I TOOK DELIVERY IN THE LAST WEEK OF JULY 2015, IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MORE THAN I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE IT, ALMOST LOST CONTROL AT FREEWAY SPEEDS SEVERAL TIMES WHEN HITTING A BUMP, THE DEALER AND CHRYSLER SAY IT IS OVERLOADED BECAUSE I HAVE A TOOLBOX AND A FUEL TANK IN THE BACK, I HAVE WEIGHED IT MYSELF ON CERTIFIED SCALES, AND IT'S NOT OVERLOADED, IT HAS MOST RECENTLY BEEN IN THE SHOP SINCE THE FIRST MONDAY IN JAN. THE 4TH, 23 DAYS SO FAR, AND THEY HAVEN'T EVEN GOT THE ROOF LEAK FIXED, I TOLD THEM YOU STILL HAVEN'T FIXED THE AIR RIDE SYSTEM, OR ADDRESSED THE LIGHTS FLICKERING AT NIGHT IN COLD WEATHER, CAN SOMEONE PLEASE DO SOME INTERVENTION, THIS TRUCK WAS 72K NEW AND A LEMON FROM DAY ONE.

THE NEW DODGE RAM EQUIPPED WITH CUMMINS DIESEL EXPERIENCE A DEAD PEDAL, OR PEDAL DELAY WHEN PRESSING THE GAS PEDAL 3/4 TO FULL THROTTLE. THIS POSES A SERIOUS RISK WHEN NEEDING TO GET OUT OF THE WAY, OR MOVE THE VEHICLE UNDER EMERGENCY CIRCUMSTANCES. THIS HAPPENS UNDER ALL CONDITIONS: STOPPED, ROLLING, UNDER ACCELERATION ETC. IF YOU PUSH THE PEDAL TOO FAR THE TRUCK WILL NOT RESPOND TO OPERATOR COMMANDS AND WILL TAKE 1.5-2 SECONDS TO START PICKING UP SPEED. THIS IS A SERIOUSLY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND SOMEONE IS GOING TO GET KILLED OR SERIOUSLY INJURED. THERE IS NOT EXCUSE FOR A VEHICLE NOT RESPONDING TO DRIVER INPUT. THE INTEGRATED TRAILER BRAKE CONTROL IN THE 2015 RAM TRUCKS DOES NOT PROVIDE ADEQUATE BRAKE CONTROL TO THE TRAILER BRAKES. I TRADED IN A 2013 RAM 3500 AND THE INTEGRATED CONTROLLER ALLOWED ME TO SET UP THE BRAKES SO I COULD LOCK THE TIRES UP, THEN I WOULD BACK THE VOLTAGE DOWN SLIGHTLY FROM THERE TO GET MAXIMUM BRAKING PERFORMANCE FROM THE TRAILER. WITH THE NEW TRUCK, THERE WASN'T THE ABILITY TO GET MUCH BRAKING AT ALL. DEALERS ARE TELLING THOSE WITH THE SAME TRUCKS, THAT IT IS WORKING AS DESIGNED AND THERE ISN'T A PROBLEM. MONDAY, AUGUST 17TH, I WAS APPROACHING A STOP SIGN, AND BEGAN BRAKING. THE TRAILER BRAKES WERE INEFFECTIVE DUE TO THE CONTROLLER AND I COULDN'T STOP IN TIME. I ENDED UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION BEFORE I COULD STOP. LUCKILY THERE WAS NO CROSS TRAFFIC SO THERE WAS NO CRASH. THE TRAILER WEIGHS 2020 POUNDS EMPTY, AND IT WAS HAULING APPROXIMATELY 1400 POUNDS. THE TRAILER CONTROLLER WAS SET AT LIGHT ELECTRIC, 7.5. ( L LATER TESTED HEAVY ELECTRIC AND IT STILL DOESN'T PROVIDE ADEQUATE BRAKING). AFTER, I TESTED THE TRAILER BRAKES (THAT I ALREADY KNEW WERE GOOD) ON ANOTHER TRUCK, AND THEY WORKED PERFECTLY. AGAIN, THE INTEGRATED CONTROLLER ON MY 2013 RAM WORKED GREAT, BUT THE NEW ONES SIMPLY DO NOT ALLOW THE TRAILER BRAKES TO WORK PROPERLY REGARDLESS OF HOW MUCH YOU TURN UP THE VOLTAGE. I CAN NOT ADJUST IT TO GET THE BRAKES TO PROVIDE SIGNIFICANT BRAKING FROM THE TRAILER. RAM IS SAYING THAT THERE ISN'T A PROBLEM, BUT A QUICK INTERNET SEARCH WOULD SAY THAT THERE IS CERTAINLY A SAFETY ISSUE, THAT IF LEFT UNRESOLVED WILL ABSOLUTELY LEAD TO INJURIES OR FATALITIES.
