Suzuki has inadequately lubricated the front and rear gears on the driveshaft, and has neglected to provide information regarding this lubrication in any of their service literature. The splines wear out completely along with a large amount of internal rust. This could lead to a sudden loss of power to the rear wheel. Researching the problem further, this appears to be a problem with Suzuki Boulevard models from 2010 up to the current year - Unsealed, unlubricated drive shaft components. There have been no recalls on any of these motorcycles.
