The contact owns a 2013 Toyota Camry. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the transmission shuddered, with the check engine warning light illuminated. In addition, the contact became aware that the transmission was slipping. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with transmission failure. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 187,000.

I have a vehicle in which a safety recall was issued for models In that body type and year range. The recall was issued in response to a software glitch that causes a shudder when acceleration. I called my local dealer and was told I do not qualify for a recall even though I have the exact same symptoms listed in the recall. I have spent over 3k trying to resolve this issue and have tried to reach out to corporate with no luck. My car is getting more unstable and nearly lost control due to the shudders. What can I do?

The contact owns a 2013 Toyota Camry. The contact stated that while driving 40 MPH, the vehicle shuddered abnormally. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed as a failure with the torque converter. The torque converter was flushed, and it was stated by the dealer that the torque converter might have caused damages to the transmission and the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 205,000.

My 2013 Camry shudders when I am accelerating, usually between 15-30 mph. It can be alarming since I expect the car to accelerate quickly but instead it shudders. I was making a right hand turn at a stop light, I went to accelerate and my car shuddered so badly and failed to accerelate so I was almost rear ended. This is a major safety concern when the gears do not properly change during operation. My local Toyota dealership diagnosed it as being a problem with the torque converter. I am aware that Toyota issued a Warranty Enhancement Notification - ZE5 to do three things, put in a new torque converter, additional transmission pan magnets, and update the software. I purchased my vehicle in 2019 and was not made aware of this by the Toyota dealership at the time of purchase nor did I receive anything in the mail. Now, Toyota refuses to correct this problem even though it continues to be an issue with owners of these vehicles.

Toyota Camry se 2013 When accelerating at a stop light or when slowing down to make a turn, it hesitates when stepping on it to go or when accelerating at a turn,. It will go about 5 - 10 feet and hesitate, It happens more several times in one day! It scares me and I’m worried about getting into an accident. No check engine light and does not throw any codes.

My car has a vibration on the front end. I have taking it for alignments, tire balancing none of those is the issue. We check for CB joints, wheel bearing not the issue. Someone made a statement of the same issue I am having with my car saying that it’s a class action lawsuit out take it to a transmission shop get it fix and submit invoice to get reimbursed.

The 2012-2014 Toyota Camry U760 ATM ECM Software update recall refers to a shudder that can potentially happen in these Toyota models made during these years. The shudder comes from the transmission, especially during the acceleration of the Camry models

I am the owner of 2013 Toyota Camry SE VIN# 4T1BF1FKXDU279537. My vehicle shudders when I drive over 25 mph. On 19 April 2022 I took my 2013 Toyota Camry SE to the Glen Toyota dealership. After the diagnosis the representative stated that I needed a new torque converter. The cost would be $2902.30 to repair. After further investigation I discovered Toyota offered the Torque replacement at no charge under the Toyota enhancement warranty program. Under the extended repair program the torque converter was replaced at no charge for 8 years or 150,000 miles. My vehicle is currently under 150,000 miles and the 8 year mark occurred during Covid19 when businesses were shut down. The service adviser told me the dealership would not cover the repair. Under a normal situation this would be acceptable. Due to unusual circumstances related to Covid19, I am requesting that my vehicle's torque converter be replaced at no cost to me. I have uploaded the document to the Toyota Warranty Enhancement Program that explains the shudder while driving under light throttle conditions between approximately 25 – 50 mph. Also included is the service recommendation from the Glen Toyota dealership that shows the seriousness of this repair. I do not fell safe driving this vehicle until the torque converter is replaced. Faulty torque converter and engine control module software glitch - TSB-NOSB0034-14R2 Original owner never notified about the Toyota Service Bulletin. I purchased car from Toyota Dealer who knew of problem but it did not happen during test drive and I then the day I drove it home, it started happening. I took it back and they wanted an additional $2400 to repair what should have been repaired on a recall. I have read many many complaints about this same issue with many 2012 and 2013 Camry's and I believe that this should have been recalled!!!!!!

I HAVE A TOYOTA CAMERY 2013. I HAVE NO ACCIDENT AT ALL SINCE I BOUGHT THIS CAR. BUT ABOUT 1 YEAR AGO, MY AIRBAG LIGHT IS ON AUTOMATICALLY WITH ON REASON. I FELT MY LIFE IS IN DANGER BECAUSE IF THERE IS A COLLISION HAPPENS, MY AIRBAG WONT PUMP OUT. I HAVE VISITED TO DIFFERENT CAR DEALOR. THEY SAID THE WIRE CIRCUIT MIGHT BE WRONG SINCE THEY TRIED TO SWITCH AIRBAG MODULES OR THE SENSOR NOTHING WORKS SO FAR. I ASSUME THE AIRBAG WHICH IS THE KEY COMPONENT FOR OUR DRIVERS' SAFETY SHOULD BE MORE ROBUST THAN WHAT I EXPERIENCED.

THE AIRBAG SAFETY LIGHT HAS COME ON AND REMAINED ON FOR 2 WEEKS THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT'S A FAILED SENSOR. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON A CAR CRASH. THE AIRBAG SENSOR IS EXPECTED TO REMAIN FUNCTIONAL FOR THE LIFE OF THE VEHICLE. OTHERWISE, MY AIRBAG MIGHT DEPLOY UNEXPECTEDLY OR FAIL TO DEPLOY WHEN I NEED THEM.

MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NOT REQUIRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE INSURANCE LOT AND DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER OR INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring increasingly while driving. The dealer and the manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. ON THURSDAY OCTOBER 10, AROUND 02:05AM IN HUNTINGTON AVENUE AND PARKER HILL AVENUE IN BOSTON MASSACHUSETTS. I WAS AT THE TRAFFIC LIGHT ON RED, FOOT ON BRAKE AND THE LIGHT TURNED GREEN AND IMMEDIATELY I STEPPED ON THE ACCELERATOR MY CAR SPED OFF OVER 70MPH WHICH I KNOW ON THE CITY ROAD ON A RAINY DAY IT IS A 25MPH ZONE. IN AN ATTEMPT TO SLOW DOWN WITH BRAKES MY CAR STARTED SPINNING , IT CIRCLED IN THE SAME HIGH SPEED ABOUT THREE TIMES, STOPPED AND RETURNED TO NORMAL. FORTUNATELY FOR US IT WAS AN EMPTY STREET DURING THAT EARLY HOURS AND THANK GOD IT DID NOT CRASH INTO ANY PERSON OR PROPERTY. WE CONTINUED TO THE FINAL DESTINATION WITHOUT ANY ISSUES.

I attempted to open my car door and the door handle simply snapped off in my hand. This is the second time this has occurred. The first time, my driver's door handle snapped off when a technician at my Goodyear repair shop tried to open it. Now, the exact same thing happened to my passenger driver's side door when I went to open it. Upon closer inspection, it seems that the manufacturing is defective, as the handle seems to have been simply glued on in spots rather than more securely attached. Bear in mind that this car is barely driven more than twice a week; it barely has any wear and tear and is under 80,000 miles despite 12 years of use.

I LIKE TOYOTAS AND HAVE TWO CAMRYS. I PREVIOUSLY HAD 3 TOYOTAS. USUALLY THEY ARE VERY GOOD, BUILT WELL, UPKEEP GOOD, LAST LONG AND TOYOTA STANDS BEHIND THEM, USUALLY. A LITTLE OVER A YEAR OF HAVING THE LAST TOYOTA CAMRY SE, I NOTICED THAT THE DRIVER SIDE OF THE BUMPER POPPED OUT. ONE GOOD HIT TO THE CORRECT SPOT AND IT FELL IN PLACE, FOR A WHILE, THEN IT WOULD CONSISTENTLY POP OUT MORE FREQUENTLY. I LIVED WITH IT FOR A WHILE, THEN ONE DAY I WAS AT TOYOTA FOR A RECALL OF SOMETHING ELSE AND I ASKED IF I COULD BUY A CLIP TO CORRECT THE BUMPER FROM POPPING OUT. THEY SAID THEY DON'T HAVE THEM AND PROBABLY THE WHOLE BUMPER, WHICH WAS GOOD OTHERWISE, WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THEY HAD ME TALK TO THEIR BODY SHOP SALESMAN AND HE CONFIRMED WHAT THEY HAD SAID. I LIVED WITH IT FOR A WHILE MORE, UNTIL THE SAME THING HAPPENED ON THE OTHER SIDE. KNOWING WHAT I HAD FOUND OUT, THERE WAS NO REASON TO GO TO THE DEALER AGAIN, SO I WROTE A LETTER TO THE CORPORATE OFFICE. I EXPLAINED THE SITUATION AND MY VIEW THAT BECAUSE IT IS SUCH A LOW FRONT END PROFILE CAR, THE WAY IT WAS DESIGNED MADE IT INEVITABLE THAT THIS OCCURRENCE WOULD HAPPEN AND I ASKED WHAT COULD THEY DO FOR THIS OBVIOUS DESIGN FLAW. THEY RECOMMENDED THAT I GO BACK TO THE DEALER. I HAVEN'T DONE ANYTHING AS OF YET, BUT I SEE ONLINE THAT THERE ARE NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS AND TO THE NHTSA. THEY MUST FIND A WAY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM, BECAUSE IT CAN WORSEN AS THE BUMPER MAY COME OUT MORE. TOYOTA AND THE DEALER MUST TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE PROBLEM, NOT THE CONSUMER.

Vehicle brake assist hold was engaged, foot still depressed on the pedal. The car released the brake hold and starting rolling at 5 mph even with my foot still on the brake. I had to let off the brake pedal and slam back on it and the car didn't stop in time and still hit the car in front of me. Very light impact but as a result led to the whole front of the car being out of shape (bumper, grille, headlights). Was aware of its deactivation but was not aware that the force of the brake pedal does not override the auto hold assist when the assist is deactivated.

When starting the car in low temperatures, approximately less than 30 degrees Fahrenheit, the ABS, VSC, and BRAKE warning lights remain on after starting. subsequent reading with an OBD reader indicates a C1246 trouble code. Operation of the vehicle without working ABS and VSC systems makes the vehicle inherently less safe and stable. I experienced several episodes of poor braking and skidding when driving in snow or rain before the problem was successfully diagnosed and repaired. The vehicle was serviced by Orland Toyota several times before the problem was able to be reproduced and repaired. A complete replacement of the ABS controller was required.

AS I WAS TURNING ONTO ANOTHER STREET ALL MY DASHBOARD LIGHTS LITE UP AND I TRIED TO BRAKE AND CAR WOULD NOT STOP. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK POSITION AND CAR STARTED SLOWING DOWN AND THEN JOLTED AND CAME TO A STOP.

I WAS APPROACHING A RED TRAFFIC LIGHT AND WAS TRYING TO USE MY BRAKES WHILE MY FOOT WAS ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF TE BRAKES PEDAL.MY FOOT PUSHED THE BRAKES PEDAL AND THE GAS PEDAL. THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE EDGE OF THE BRAKES PEDAL AND GAS PEDAL IS ONLY 2.5 INCH. THE BRAKES BOOSTER PUSHED THE BRAKES PEDAL DOWN TO THE SAME HEIGHT AS THE GAS PEDAL.

MY TOYOTA CAMRY HYBRID HAS HAD EPISODIC BRAKING PROBLEMS. AFTER STARTING THE CAR AND DRIVING FOR A FEW MINUTES, OCCASIONALLY WHEN I STEP ON THE BRAKES TO SLOW/STOP THE CAR THE BRAKE PEDDLE NEEDS TO BE PUSHED DOWN TO THE FLOOR. WHILE THIS IS HAPPENING I CAN HEAR THE ENGINE REVVING. IT IS NECESSARY TO PUSH EXTREMELY HARD ON THE BRAKE PEDDLE TO STOP THE CAR. I HAVE TAKEN MY CAR TO MCGEORGE TOYOTA AND AN INDEPENDENT REPAIR SHOP FOR THIS PROBLEM. NEITHER FOUND ANY COMPUTER CODES INDICATING THE PROBLEM. TOYOTA REMOVED AND LUBRICATED THE SLIDE PINS FOR THE CALIPHERS AND THEN REINSTALLED THE PINS. THIS PROBLEM CONTINUES TO OCCUR. AS THIS PROBLEM IS EPISODIC, NEITHER THE DEALERSHIP NOR THE INDEPENDENT REPAIR TECHNICIAN COULD DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. I BELIEVE THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE REGENERATIVE BRAKING SYSTEM RELATED TO THE COMPUTER SENDING A WRONG SIGNAL CAUSING THE ENGINE TO ACCELERATE RATHER THAN ALLOWING THE CAR TO STOP NORMALLY. I HAVE HAD SEVERAL "CLOSE CALLS" WHERE THIS UNINTENDED ACCELERATION NEARLY LEAD TO MY HITTING THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME OR NOT STOPPING AT AN INTERSECTION, POTENTIALLY CAUSING AN ACCIDENT OR STRIKING A PEDESTRIAN..

I WOULD LIKE TO STATE THAT MY CAR REQUIRES CONSTANT STEERING. IT WILL NOT CONTINUE IN A STRAIGHT LINE. IT WILL ALWAYS DRIFT IN THE APPOSITE DIRECTION OF THE LAST CORRECTION. TO DATE I HAVE 11,400 MILES ON THE CAR.

MY WIFE HAS A 2013 CAMRY WITH 28,000 MILES. WE HAVE BEEN HAVING A ISSUE WITH THE BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH WHICH ALSO WORKS WITH THE ANTILOCK BRAKES AND THE SHIFTER. MY WIFE WAS AT WORK LATE AND COULD NOT GET IT OUT OF PARK. I DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THE SWITCH AND TAPPED ON IT AND IF FINALLY ALLOWED US TO GET IT HOME.

THREE OF FOUR CAR DOOR LOCKS, ALL OF WHICH SHOULD BE AUTOMATIC, HAVE STOPPED WORKING WHEN TRYING TO LOCK/UNLOCK THE CAR, BOTH WITH REMOTE AND INSIDE OF CAR USING DRIVER'S SIDE CAR LOCK BUTTONS. FORCES US TO MANUALLY LOCK/UNLOCK EACH DOOR LOCK WHEN USING THE VEHICLE AND LETTING ANY PASSENGERS IN. LOCKS HAVE TO BE MANUALLY LOCKED WHEN LEAVING THE VEHICLE AS WELL. I BELIEVE THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY MANUFACTURER REPAIR/REPLACEMENT.

THE ELECTRICAL LOCKS HAVE NOT WORKED PROPERLY IN THE LAST YEAR. IT HAS BEEN A CONSISTENT ISSUE. IT STARTED WITH ONE LOCK AND THEN ANOTHER ONE HAD ISSUES UNTIL ALL FOUR DO NOT PROPERLY LOCK. THERE IS NO REASON WHY THIS SHOULD HAVE OCCURRED WHEN THE CAR WAS LESS THAN 4 YEARS OLD. THERE WAS A RECALL IN 2014 BUT I DID NOT RECEIVE A NOTICE ABOUT ISSUES WITH THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM. MOSTLY LIKELY BECAUSE THE RECALL CAMPAIGN DID NOT INCLUDE ALL CARS THAT WERE AFFECTED.

2013 Toyota Camry Hybrid XLE, 2AR-FXE. 134,000 miles. The car burns a quart of oil every 2,000 miles. This issue is from the low-tension piston rings sticking up and leading to scarring of the cylinder walls, causing oil consumption. Toyota had this issue with the 2007 2AZ engine and fixed it, but hasn't done a thing about the 2AR engine with the same problem. Hundreds and thousands of owners have complained but Toyota does not care enough to solve the problem! TOYOTA DOESN'T CARE ABOUT YOU, they only care about themselves and the money they make for charging people thousands of dollars for short blocks out of the owner's pocket for an issue that is not the owner's fault. The car has had 5,000/6 month mile oil changes all its life. Don't buy a 1AR/2AR-equipped Toyota if you expect it to last. It also has a VVT-i rattle problem that is very common that Toyota doesn't bother to fix for their customers.

We purchased Toyota Camry in 2013. Currently, it has a mileage of less than 100K. We regularly serviced it at Landers Toyota dealership, and the last maintenance was performed a week before the accident. Driving home from work, my wife heard a bang and felt a jolt after which she was forced to stop. There were no warning signs. The car was filled with smoke and seconds later the flames appeared from underneath the car (luckily, she managed to escape without injuries). I towed the car to the garage for inspection and a large (about 4-5 inches) and wide (about 1 inch) crack was found on the engine. I contacted my insurance rep and the adjustor will inspect the vehicle within 1-3 business days.

STARTED WITH THE PASSENGER FRONT SEATBELT. SEATBELT WOULDN'T LOCK IN TO THE FEMALE PART HAVE TO KEEP TRYING IT UNTIL IT WORKS. DRIVER SEATBELT HAD THE SAME PROBLEM UNTIL ONE DAY A SPRING WAS STICKING OUT OF THE FEMALE PART. SEATBELT NEVER WOULD LATCH AGAIN. PASSENGER SEATBELT WILL LATCH TO THIS DAY, HOWEVER IT WILL BREAK SOON AND IS UNTRUSTWORTHY DRIVER SEATBELT WILL NOT WORK AT ALL.

The contact stated that there were scrapes and deformation to the bumper on the passenger side, also the wheel well, tire hub, and the passenger door were damaged due to contact with the road. The contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic. The mechanic determined that all but one lug nut had sheared off the bolts. The only lug nut left was jammed in the rim of the tire. PURCHASED USED CAMRY FROM CHRYSLER/DODGE/JEEP/RAM, 8701 ABERCORN ST., SAVANNAH, GA. THE DEALERSHIP HAD REPLACED THE TIRES, 4 EACH, WITH NEXEN NPR/Z AH5, 215/55R17, MAER 4618, DOT 8E8V. MY PURCHASE DATE WAS 11FEB2019 AND THE VEHICLE HAD 59,554 MILES. AT 60,325 MILES (729 MILES ON THE TIRES), DRIVING BACK FROM THE LICENSE PLATE OFFICE AT APPROXIMATELY 45MPH, I HEARD AIR EXITING MY LEFT FRONT TIRE AND THEN THE TIRE WAS IMMEDIATELY FLAT. I TOOK THE SAID TIRE TO CDJR DEALERSHIP FOR A TIRE REPLACEMENT AND THE ACCUSED ME OF HITTING A POTHOLE, NO POTHOLE WAS HIT AND EVENTUALLY THE DEALER REPLACED THE TIRE WITH NO FURTHER ISSUES. TIS PAST FRIDAY NIGHT AFTER COMING HOME FROM WORK (05/31/2019) GETTING MY PERSONAL EQUIPMENT FROM MY CAR AND WITH 63,052 (3456 MILES), I NOTICED A BULGE ON THE RIGHT HAND TIRE AT NIGHT, NO POTHOLE HAS BEEN HIT. THE LOWER BALL JOINT FAILED CAUSING THE ENTIRE RIGHT FRONT SUSPENSION TO COLLAPSE AND FOLD INTO THE WHEEL WELL AND UNDER THE CAR. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY WHEN I HEARD THIS HUGE POP THAT SOUNDED LIKE A GUNSHOT, HONESTLY. I QUICKLY GLANCED AROUND BUT DIDN'T NOTICE ANYTHING. I GET TO MY DESTINATION AND WALKED AROUND MY CAR. SHE HAD JUST GOTTEN ON TO I-494, DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED, WHEN SHE HEARD WHAT SOUNDED LIKE A GUN SHOT. THE VISOR WAS OPEN, AND THE SUN ROOF WAS CLOSED, AND SHARDS OF TEMPERED GLASS RAINED IN ON HER. SHE WASN'T NEAR AN OVERPASS, OR NEAR ANY TRUCKS. NOR WAS SHE HIT BY ANY FLYING ROCK. SHE PULLED IN TO A GAS STATION, WHERE A NICE GENTLEMAN HELPED HER, BY SCOOPING OUT BROKEN GLASS, AND PUTTING A PIECE OF CARDBOARD INTO THE OPENING. AS SOON AS SHE TEXTED ME ABOUT IT, I GOOGLED "EXPLODING SUN ROOF," AND FOUND THAT THIS IS A PROBLEM THAT SEEMS TO OCCUR WITH A LOT MORE FREQUENCY, ESPECIALLY IN THE PAST FIVE YEARS. This complaint has to do with Toyota's electrical steering. I will begin this complaint by explaining what I've learned about the new Toyota vehicles. I've been having electrical problems with my car for the past year. It started with the radio going in and out about eight months ago, and now it has been out completely for two months. The tire pressure sensor warning light cycled intermittently when the radio went out. When the radio finally quit working, the tire pressure warning light stays on constantly. When I researched replacing the radio with a non-Toyota radio, I had to replace all of the wiring harnesses (steering control and radio, and there is another harness that I can't remember -- this is from BestBuy). If you don't replace all of the wiring harnesses, you lose the functions of the electrical and warning system, for example, the tire pressure warning lights. In my research (on the internet), I found that the electrical steering can go out if the system receives a signal that the tires are out of alignment and tire pressure warnings. I check my tire pressure every week because the warning light is on. I do not have a tire pressure reset button on my car. The computer or the computer board on the radio periodically pings the sensors. I began hearing a humming noise from the front right side of my car. I originally thought it was a tension pully on the belt because of the cold weather and no warning light. I drove my car about ten miles with the humming noise. Then, the power steering came on, and the steering became almost impossible. (I learned to drive in vehicles without power steering.) Within minutes of the power steering light coming on, I had a catastrophic failure of all systems in my car. Every warning light on the dashboard was on. After about two minutes, the lights cycled off. About one minute later, they came back on. The difficulty driving without the power steering would have been a bad accident if I had been on the Interstate.

I DON'T SEE HOW THEY CAN SKIRT THEIR RESPONSIBILITY. THEY WERE THE LAST ONES DEALING WITH THE AIRBAGS AND MAYBE WHAT THEY DID WAS NOT A COMPLETE FIX. The panel that controls the interior lights, garage door operation, moon window and an SOS button appeared to have an electrical malfunction and part of that control panel which is on the ceiling between the moon window and mirror melted due a heat source. I do not know what caused the problem but took the vehicle to a dealer and they would not advise on what made the plastic melt. In my opinion that could have caused a fire as the vehicle is in the garage when not in use.

I purchased a set of 4 Cooper Ultra Touring (235/45R18) Tires in 05/2022. Within 40,000 miles of purchasing the Tires, I was traveling on I-10 WB at approximately 70 MPH when the Vehicle started to shake violently. I pulled into the Right Lane and slowed down significantly and was able to make it to my residence safely. The very next day, I took the Vehicle to a local Goodyear Franchise and had a new Passenger Front Tire installed on 10/24/2022. The Service Tech advised that the Passenger Front Tire was on the verge of separating and that was the reason for the Vehicle Shaking. On 08/28/23, I was traveling on I-10 EB and the Driver's side of the Vehicle started to shake violently again. I traveled in the Right Lane at a slow speed until I came up on a Toyota Dealership in Daphne, Alabama. The Service Tech put the Vehicle up on a lift and advised me that the Driver's Side Rear Tire had separated and the Driver's side front tire had an uneven wear pattern on the inside edge. I had both tires promptly replaced. I have done my due diligence and have discovered many recalls on Cooper Tires as of late. The same descriptions I have read online are exactly what I have experienced with my two tires that have separated. I did check to see if these Tires were apart of any recalls and they are not. One thing I would like to point out is that these Cooper Tires were apart of a Promotion that Tire Choice Auto Service Centers were running in the Summer of 2020 to buy 3 tires and receive 1 free. For this reason, I do not know how many of these Tires were sold as it felt like they were just trying to get rid of them as they were heavily discounted. I do suspect that these tires were made in the same factories as many that were recalled. These Tires do have a 70,000 mile Warranty and I am currently in the process of trying to get the Tires from Toyota so Cooper can inspect them for a refund. Reference #: [XXX]. I am sending this msg in regards to my 2013 Toyota Camry SE that I leased and decided to purchase after the lease ended from Toyota Heritage in Catonsville. I am experiencing problems with my torque converter. This is an issue that Toyota knew that would happen to my car and now that I am experiencing this problem Toyota doesn’t feel that they are responsible for the fix since the warranty has expired. I notice this problem in February 2019 when driving to work every morning at the same spot it felt like I was driving on the edge of the road. I figured it was road damage, because it would happen at the same spot every morning curve in the road. On March 16, 2019 due to COVID-19 we were sent home to work from home until Feb 2022. I wasn’t driving my car much due to COVID. We are now back in the office 1 day a week. In July 2022, I had my brakes done by a licensed mechanic and I informed him about the issue I was experiencing and he told me it was my torque converter, his mother has the same issue with her 2013 Camry and Toyota is aware of the problem and not paying for the repair l. In Oct or Nov, I took my car to Heritage Toyota in OM for my usual maintenance and I informed the advisor of the issue and he stated it’s my torque converter and the warranty has expired and I will be responsible for the $2000 repair. I never received the letter they claimed was sent and no one can send me proof of the letter that they was sent to me. I can’t understand how Toyota is not responsible for this problem they knew would eventually would happen and when asked why didn’t they fixed it when I was bringing my car in for maintenance I was told because I did not report there was a problem. I told the advisor it wasn’t a problem then, I am experiencing the problem now. He didn’t have an answer. I even called Toyota Corp and getting the same reply. WHILE DRIVING UPHILL ON I80 IN PA OUR ENGINE SUDDENLY LOST POWER. WARNING LIGHT FLASHED AND BUZZER SOUNDED. WE WERE ABLE TO MOVE OVER A LANE AND THEN OFF ROAD. WE WERE LUCKY. AFTER SHUTTING OFF POWER SWITCH, WE WERE ABLE TO START AND ACCELERATE NORMALLY. WE NOTICED THAT OUR HYBRID 3013 CAMRY WAS THEN NO LONGER IN ECO MODE. WE THEN FIGURED OUT WHAT HAPPENED. REACHING INTO THE STORAGE COMPARTMENT, I ACCIDENTALLY TOUCHED THE EV BUTTON WHICH TURNED OFF THE GAS ENGINE. THE ELECTRIC MOTOR WAS NOT STRONG ENOUGH ALONE TO KEEP UP A SAFE SPEED. I had this car for 5 months, the dealer lied to me about the engine being repaired, the coverage he has on the vehicle. The electronic doesn't work front driver/ passenger doors, we have to unlock the back doors to get into the car and hop over to the front. The hood doesn't have a holder to keep the hood up on its own, the electrical sound blows out and I had to buy more wires and sound system to equip. The day it started tripping, first was when the car didn't start, it made an awful clicking noise. I got a jump it started. I decided to buy new battery; however, the check engine light is on, and check service soon light on. I checked to see if there was any oil, there's no oil. I called the dealership advise him of the problem and he blows me off as if it's not his concern. I'm extremely upset because I trusted that his word to sell me a good and no bad conditions car. I have me and my friends with me along driving, my friend said, "C car is smoking", I looked in the mirror, oh my God I see white thick smoke from the back. I immediately pull over to look at the problem. I can't drive. I called my insurance to get the car tolled to my home. I called the dealers, I had no good help from him at all. I'm out of a car what to do? My wife called Toyota company to tell them what going on and to get the Maintenace history (tune up, spark plugs and oil change). While driving have noticed shuddering at random times. Car just now has 134k on it and the service records never showed what computer update was done. Was unaware of any issues with torque converter issues. Have had cruise control set to speed limit and had car acceleration up to 25miles over speed set, car has also slowed down without anything being changed. Went to dealership because torque converter tsb and was told it was out of warranty in Aug 2021. had ecm reprogrammed with original owner in 2014... toyota knew this was an issue and never corrected parts

I SPOKE WITH TOYOTA ABOUT THE RECALL ON THE 2013 VEHICLES FOR THE AIR CONDITIONING CONDENSER AND WAS TOLD THAT MY VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN THAT PROBLEM. HOWEVER THE CAR WAS REPAIRED FOR THAT RECALL IN 2014, WHICH WAS PRIOR TO ME OWNING THE CAR. AFTER, THE CAR HAS BEEN REPAIR UNDER A RECALL, THERE'S A ONE YEAR WARRANTY ON THAT REPAIR. SO WE'RE BASICALLY OUT OF LUCK AND HAVE TO PAY FOR THIS REPAIR OURSELVES.

WE LEASED A 2013 TOYOTA CAMRY XLE ON FRIDAY MARCH 29TH, 2013 AT 9:00 PM. FROM MANHATTAN BEACH TOYOTA IN MANHATTAN BEACH CALIFORNIA. THE VERY NEXT DAY, SATURDAY MARCH 30TH, 2013 WHILE DRIVING NORTHBOUND ON HIGHWAY 99 NEAR BAKERSFIELD AT 65 MILES PER HOUR TO LINDSAY CALIFORNIA FROM INGLEWOOD CALIFORNIA, I HEARD A "DING" SOUND AND I FELT THE STEERING WHEEL STIFFEN UP. I HAD TO IMMEDIATELY HOLD ON TIGHTLY TO THE STEERING WHEEL TO TRY AND KEEP CONTROL OF THE CAR. I THEN NOTICED ALL OF THE DASHBOARD LIGHTS HAD TURNED ON. I ALSO NOTICED THAT ALL OF THE GAUGES WERE NO LONGER FUNCTIONING. MY WIFE AND I WERE VERY TERRIFIED AS WE IMMEDIATELY THOUGHT OF THAT POOR FAMILY THAT LOST THEIR LIVES DURING A TOYOTA MALFUNCTION. AS I TRIED TO KEEP CONTROL OF THE CAR, LOOKING FOR AN EXIT OFF THE HIGHWAY, I REALIZED THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS NO LONGER WORKING. THE CAR WAS DIFFICULT TO MANEUVER, BUT I WAS ABLE TO PULL OFF THE HIGHWAY AND TAKE THE CAR TO BILL WRIGHT TOYOTA NEARBY. THEY WERE UNABLE TO FIX THE CAR THAT DAY AND I HAD TO LEAVE IT THERE. CAR SEEMS TO HAVE SLIGHT FUEL FEED PROBLEM - YOU CAN FEEL THE CAR SLIGHTLY HESITATING SOMETIMES WHEN JUST DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE, WHEN PULLING OUT ONTO BUSY BOULEVARD, AFTER YOU HAVE PULLED HALF WAY OUT IN THE ROAD, THE CAR WILL NOT GO, EVEN THO YOU ARE STEPPING ON THE GAS. 1. The seatbelts in the back seat doesnt not work. It is not strapping and clicking. I am unable to properly strap in my nephew's carseat properly. This not a dealership issue this a manfacturer issue and it needs to be recalled. God forbidden that I get into an accident with my nephew in the car. 2. Recently the car handles on the driver's side both of broken off from the car. I am unable to open my car properly. I dont understand why it broke off I didnt pull on it hard one day it just came 3. The child lock option doesnt work one day I was driving on the high way and my nephew was open to open the back door with the child lock button on. These are major issues that need to be investigated and recalled. 4. The door on the passenger side in the back does not open from the inside. Again dangerous because what if there is a fire and my passengers can't get out.

APRIL 13, 2018 MY 2013 TOYOTA CAMRY ENTIRE OVERHEAD CENTER ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY HAD TO BE REPLACED. THIS WAS REQUIRED DUE TO EXCESSIVE HEAT EXPOSURE CAUSING WARPING, CRACKING AND MELTING OF THE SMALL GREY PLASTIC FACING THAT HOUSES THE SMALL BLACK BUTTONS: 3 GARAGE DOOR BUTTONS, TWO INTERIOR INSIDE LIGHT BUTTONS FLANKED BY THE OPEN / CLOSE AND UP / DOWN BUTTONS. THIS WAS NEVER A PROBLEM IN ANY EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS SINCE IT WAS PURCHASED AS A NEW CAR UNTIL APRIL 10, 2018. THE ISSUE OCCURRED DURING HOT WHETHER WHERE THE CAR WAS PARKED IN AN OPEN RESIDENTIAL LOT WITH AND WITHOUT A SUN SCREEN VISOR. THE TOYOTA DEALER INSPECTED THE ASSEMBLY AND STATED THAT IT WAS NOT ABLE TO DETECT AN ELECTRICAL MALFUNCTION. THE DEALER SAID THIS SAME ISSUE OCCURRED IN 2 TO 3 OTHER TOYOTA CAMRYS AT THAT DEALERSHIP WHERE THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO ESTABLISH AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. MY CONCERN IS / WAS THAT THE HEAT WAS SO INTENSE THAT THE PLASTIC FRAMING ABOUT 3' BY 5' WAS ACTUALLY MALLEABLE TO THE POINT THAT I COULD STRAIGHTEN OUT THE DEFORMED PIECES AND PUSH THE FRAME BACK INTO POSITION TO HOLD IN PLACE UNTIL THE NEXT TIME IT OVERHEATED AND FEEL OUT OF PLACE. THE CAR IS NOT UNDER EXTENDED WARRANT. BUT THE SAFETY CONCERN IS ABOUT SOME UNKNOWN CAUSE OF OVERHEATING THAT APPEARS TO BE FAR MORE THAN HOT WEATHER CONDITIONS. THE 2013 TOYOTA CAMRY ENTIRE OVERHEAD CENTER ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY PART NO. IS 63650-06432-B0. I PAID $223.90 FOR THE PART AND INSTALLATION OF THE FULL ASSEMBLY. NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTY IS OFFERED BY TOYOTA ON THE NEW INSTALLATION SHOULD THIS REOCCUR ANY TIME SOON. THEY ASKED FOR A WRITTEN CONSENT TO ALLOW THEM TO GET THE DATA RECORDER. AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS TO FOLLOW-UP, ON MAY 12 I RECEIVED A RESPONSE THAT WHEN THEY DROVE THE VEHICLE EVERYTHING WAS FINE.

AFTER 2 WEEKS, THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE IT AND COULDN'T WORK ON IT ANY FURTHER AND TOLD ME TO TAKE THE CAR BACK. AFTER TAKING THE CAR BACK, 2 DAYS LATER IT STALLED AGAIN AND IT WAS BROUGHT INTO ANOTHER TOYOTA DEALERSHIP.

I GOT THE RUN AROUND I BOUGHT NEW TIRES HAD AN ALIGNED CHANGED THE FUEL BEING USED. FINALLY THEY SAID IT WAS MY TRANMISSION. THEY REPLACED THE TRANMISSION AND DID A SOFTWARE UPDATE. WHEN ACCELERATING FROM A STOP THE VEHICLE WILL SOMETIMES MOVE ABOUT 10 FEET AND THEN HESITATE FOR ABOUT 1 TO 2 SECONDS. IT WILL THEN ACCELERATE NORMALLY. ONE TIME THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED TO ABOUT 20 MPH AND THEN THE ENGINE RPM RETURNED TO IDLE. THE ACCELERATOR WAS PUSHED TO THE FLOOR AND THE RPM REMAINED AT IDLE. THE ACCELERATOR WAS RELEASED AND PUSHED DOWN AGAIN. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED NORMALLY. THIS HAPPENED ONLY ONE TIME. THE INTERMITTENT HESITATION IS VERY DANGEROUS WHEN TRYING TO CROSS A BUSY INTERSECTION WHEN THE CROSS TRAFFIC IS UNCONTROLLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE PROBLEM. THE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE CONDITION. THE U760E TORQUE CONVERTER SHUDDER RECALL UPGRADE WAS PERFORMED. THIS DID NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. THE SERVICE ADVISOR SAID THAT THE TECHNICIAN SAID THAT SOME TRANSMISSION HESITATION WAS NORMAL. THE SERVICE ADVISOR ALSO SAID THERE HAD BEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS CONDITION. THERE ARE ALSO COMPLAINTS ON THE ONLINE AUTOMOBILE FORUMS. THIS CONDITION IS DANGEROUS AND NOT NORMAL. .....UPDATED 03-03-15 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED THE PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED. WITHIN THE LAST WEEK, HE REMOVED HIS FOOT FROM THE ACCELERATOR TO SLOW DOWN FROM 65 MPH TO 40 MPH. WHEN HE TRIED TO ACCELERATE TO MERGE INTO THE OFF RAMP OF TRAFFIC, HE HAD TO PUSH THE ACCELERATOR TO THE FLOOR. THE VEHICLE DID NOT ACCELERATE. THE CONSUMER RELEASED THE ACCELERATOR, PUSHED DOWN AGAIN AND EVERYTHING WENT BACK TO NORMAL. THE CONSUMER STATED THE PROBLEM IS STILL NOT FIXED. UPDATED 04/02/15

WITHIN TWO OR THREE DAYS AFTER THE 10,000 MILE CHECK-UP(JULY 3,2014) MY WIFE AND I NOTICED A STAGNANT ODOR COMING FROM THE A/C VENTS ON FIRST START UP IN THE MORNING. A/C HAD BEEN SET ON RECYCLE AIR. WE SET THE A/C TO RUN WITH AIR FLOW ON VENT AND ODOR IS STILL THERE. A/C RAN FOR AWHILE AND ODOR WOULD GO AWAY. ODOR JUST GOT WORSE ON EVERY START UP. CARRIED TO TOYOTA SERVICE DEPARTMENT WHERE WE PURCHASED CAMRY AND LET THE SERVICE MANAGER SMELL THE ODOR COMING FROM THE A/C VENTS AT 8 AM JULY 20, 2014. HE SAID HE COULD SMELL IT. THE SERVICE DEPT. KEPT THE CAMRY JULY 20 AND 21. I TALKED WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER AROUND 3:20 PM ON THE 21. HE SAID TOYOTA TECH. DEPT. HAD SENT THEM A BULLETIN STATING TO CHANGE THE CABIN AIR FILTER WITH A CHARCOAL LINED CABIN AIR FILTER AND TO RUN THE A/C ON VENT FOR AWHILE BEFORE SHUTTING ENGINE DOWN SO A/C SYSTEM COULD DRAIN. JULY 24TH., SERVICE DEPT. INSTALLING CHARCOAL LINED CABIN AIR FILTER. SERVICE DEPT. SAID A/C SYSTEM WOULD HAVE TO DRY OUT WHEN ASKED ABOUT MOLD AND BACTERIA BUILD UP. THIS PROBLEM HAS NOT REALLY BEEN ADDRESSED BY SERVICE DEPT. EXCEPT FOR TURNING ON CAR HEATER TO DRY A/C SYSTEM OUT. ODOR DID NOT GO AWAY. MY WIFE DROVE CAMRY ON A TRIP JULY 12-14, 2014 WHERE SHE DROVE FOR SEVEN AND A HALF HOURS EACH WAY. SIX DAYS LATER SHE DEVELOPED A SEVERE SORE THROAT. SHE WENT TO OUR LOCAL DOCTOR ON JULY 23RD. HE GAVE HER A STEROID SHOT AND SAID IT COULD BE RELATED TO THE ABOVE PROBLEM BUT WAS NOT STREP THROAT. WE ARE WORRIED ABOUT THE BUILD UP OF MOLD AND BACTERIA. *TR

I WAS DRIVING ON M-80 ACROSS ILLINOIS, FOR ABOUT 2 HOURS ON CRUISE CONTROL, SET AT 69 MPH. I SUDDENLY REALIZED THAT THE CAR SEEMED TO BE GOING TOO FAST, AS I PASSED A COUPLE CARS RATHER QUICKLY. I GLANCED AT THE SPEEDOMETER AND SAW IT, IN ABOUT ONE SECOND, GO FROM 85 MPH TO 87 MPH AND I IMMEDIATELY BRAKED, THEREBY STOPPING THE CRUISE CONTROL (?) FROM CONTINUING TO ACCELERATE THE CAR. WHEN THIS HAPPENED, I DID NOT HAVE MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL OR MY HAND NEAR THE CRUISE CONTROL MECHANISM. THE CAR JUST SIMPLY ACCELERATED QUICKLY ON IT'S OWN. I TRIED TO CONTINUE TO USE CRUISE CONTROL TO DRIVE BACK TO MICHIGAN, HOWEVER SHORTLY THEREAFTER, IT BEGAN TO RAIN/SNOW SO I DIDN'T USE THE CRUISE CONTROL AFTER THAT. TOYOTA HAS ANOTHER THROTTLE PROBLEM. I BOUGHT A 2103 CAMRY SE ON MARCH 30TH 2013 FROM LARRY MILLER TOYOTA AND IT EXHIBITS AN INTERMITTENT THROTTLE PROBLEM. WHEN I START FROM A STOP SOME TIMES IT SEEMS AS IF THE ENGINE DIES. IT DOES NOT AS THE ENGINE DOES NOT NEED TO BE RESTARTED. THE THROTTLE IS SIMPLY NON-RESPONSIVE. THE CAR MOVES AHEAD A LITTLE AND VIRTUALLY DIES. THIS CAN OCCUR GOING STRAIGHT AHEAD, TURNING RIGHT OR WORSE YET IN THE PROCESS OF MAKING A LEFT TURN. THIS IS VERY MUCH A SAFETY ISSUE WHEN EXECUTING A TURN WHEN IT APPEARS ONE HAS A BREAK IN TRAFFIC AND THE CAR BARELY MOVES. THE CAR HAS BEEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND THERE IS NO FAILURE CODE SO THEY SAY THEY CANNOT VERIFY THE PROBLEM AND THAT IT IS WORKING AS IT SHOULD. I WENT OUT FOR A SHORT RIDE WITH THE SHOP FOREMAN AND I COULD NOT REPLICATE THE PROBLEM. HE DID SAY THAT HE HAD 3 OR 4 OTHER VEHICLES WITH A SIMILAR PROBLEM. I DID LEAVE THE CAR WITH THEM FOR 2 DAYS AND THEY DROVE IT 54 MILES AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. MY SUGGESTION TO THE DEALER AND TO TOYOTA IS TO DETERMINE WHAT IS MOST LIKELY TO CAUSE THIS PROBLEM AND REPLACE IT AND SEE IF THIS WILL FIX IT. THEY WILL NOT DO THIS. IT MUST BE A PROBLEM THEY CAN VERIFY ?FIND A FAILURE CODE?. I HAVE ASKED THEM TO REPLACE THE THROTTLE TRANSDUCER WHICH IS $250 IF REPLACING IT DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM I WOULD PAY FOR IT. THE LACK OF A FAILURE CODE JUST MEANS IT IS NOT A HARD PROBLEM AND FAILING IN A MANNER THEY ANTICIPATED WHEN THEY SET UP THERE FAILURE TROUBLE SHOOTING PROCEDURES. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 TOYOTA CAMRY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME ROUGH WHEN DRIVING OR WHEN ATTEMPTING A TURN IN EITHER DIRECTION. THERE WAS ALSO AN ABNORMAL NOISE FROM THE STEERING WHEEL WITH THE ILLUMINATION OF THE POWER STEERING WARNING LIGHT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE TIRES NEEDED TO BE INFLATED TO THE CORRECT PRESSURE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT WAS AT AS TOP SIGN WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE CRASHED INTO THE FRONT DRIVER?S SIDE OF THE CONTACT?S VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED NECK, BACK AND HEAD INJURIES AND A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REFERENCED NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER: 13V44200 (AIR BAGS , ELECTRICAL SYSTEM , EQUIPMENT) HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE AIR BAG RECALL. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3000. UPDATED 05/12/14 MA THE CONSUMER STATED ANOTHER VEHICLE STRUCK THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT LEFT WHEEL AND DRAGGED HIS VEHICLE SIDEWAYS TOWARD A TELEPHONE POLE. HE APPLIED THE BRAKE, BUT THE VEHICLE DID NOT STOP. HE HIT THE WINDOW DURING IMPACT AND WAS KNOCKED UNCONSCIOUS. UPDATED 05/14/14

I WAS TURNING INTO MY NEIGHBORHOOD GOING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH WHEN AN EMERGENCY LIGHT FLASHED ON AND OFF. IT WAS SO QUICK THAT I WAS UNABLE TO IDENTIFY WHICH EMERGENCY LIGHT. AFTER DRIVING ANOTHER 100 FEET THE EMERGENCY LIGHT THAT IS AN EXCLAMATION POINT IN A TRIANGLE LIT UP AND STAYED ON AS MY VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN. THE ACCELERATOR STOPPED WORKING ENTIRELY. THE ENGINE DID NOT REV AS I TRIED TO ACCELERATE THE CAR. I WAS ABLE TO APPLY THE BRAKES AND BRING THE CAR TO A STOP. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND THEN IN DRIVE AND THE CAR DROVE WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. IT HAS SINCE BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP FOR THE LAST WEEK. IN THE LAST FEW WEEKS I ALSO NOTICED THAT WHILE AT STOP LIGHTS IF I WAS APPLYING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE AND SIMPLY APPLIED A LITTLE MORE PRESSURE, THE UNEVEN TERRAIN EMERGENCY LIGHT TURNED ON AND WOULD ALLOW THE CAR TO DRIVE UNTIL I PUT IT IN PARK AND AGAIN PUT IT IN DRIVE. AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH SPEED OF 60MPH, I FIND IT VERY DIFFICULT TO KEEP THE CAR GOING IN A STRAIGHT LANE WITHOUT IT BEING SWAYS TO THE LEFT. AFTER MAKING A TURN ONTO A ROAD, BEFORE ENTERING A PARKING LOT, MY BRAKE LIGHTS WENT ON. IT'S A NEW CAR WITH ONLY 3500 MILES ON IT - THE BRAKES SHOULD BE FINE. I TURN INTO THE PARKING LOT, PARK THE CAR, PUT IT IN PARK, AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE. I CHECK THE EMERGENCY BRAKE, IT WAS NOT ENGAGED. I TURN THE CAR ON AND THE BRAKE LIGHT GOES AWAY. HOWEVER, NOW I CANNOT TAKE MY CAR OUT OF PARK. IT IS STUCK IN PARK. I STEP ON THE BRAKE, I TURN THE WHEEL AND THE WHEEL TURNS FINE. THE GEAR IS STILL STUCK IN PARK. I CALL THE DEALERSHIP, THEY SEND OUT A TOW TRUCK. I TRY MY CAR ONE MORE TIME AND IT IS STILL STUCK IN PARK. THE DRIVER OF THE TOW TRUCK TRIES, HE PUTS HIS HAND ON THE HANDLE AND BEHOLD, IT SHIFTS OUT OF PARK AND CAN GO INTO R, N AND D. CAN YOU BELIEVE IT?? I WILL CONTINUE TO MONITOR THIS 'ODD' OCCURRENCE. CAR WAS STOPPED BEHIND A LANDSCAPER'S TRAILER FOR A SECOND AND THE ENGINE ACCELERATED SO FAST AND SO LOUDLY AND OVERRODE THE BRAKE SMASHING INTO THE BACK OF THE TRAILER.
