Purchased brand new 2022 Winnebago Micro Minnie 2108DS on 6/14/2022. Take it on first camping trip on 6/18/2022. Slide mechanism breaks and pulls slide frame away from side of camper. Slide is stuck partially out. Cut leg due to slide failure. Winnebago customer service is useless and says it’s on us to fix and up to them if they will reimburse! This needs to be addressed ASAP before someone gets seriously injured.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
1 complaint
The travel trailer comes with the FLX package, which consists of a lithium battery from Lithionics, and utilize an inverter and a solar panel system to charge this battery. On April 27th, the trailer was removed from indoor storage, during storage the trailer was stored per Winnebago's instruction, when the trailer is turned on as per instruction, the inverter caught on fire while I was inside. After repair that I had shelled out as Winnebago did not reimburse or respond to the problem, the trailer battery again failed on May 27th. August 7th, the trailer had been at repair facility for almost 3 months, and with new battery and inverter and various components, the inverter system caught on fire AGAIN when the power system was turned on. The repair facility had reported that the system is not adequately designed, as there's no breaker between the battery and the inverter, and there's also lack of breaker between the solar panel system and the batter and inverter, so any faulty components would cause the system catch on fire. To this date, Winnebago has yet to respond to any of the complaint, this system poses a serious fire risk.

Spare tire carrier with stare tire sustained metal fatigue and the metal of the carrier bracket tore allowing tire to almost fall off onto highway. Fortunately, a semi driver flagged me pointing to the back of the trailer as he passed me. I had purchased gas 40 miles earlier and there was no identifiable problem. The tire was just barely above the surface of the road when I stopped. I made dealer aware of this that day (May 2nd). They said they reported to Winnebago. I waited to hear from Winnebago and did not so called and emailed them on March 7th. I have followed up with them 2 more times but no response. There was no warning this was about to occur. Had this tire fallen off, it would jeopardize anyone behind me or any oncoming traffic. I have since learned others have experienced the same problem.
