ON DECEMBER 3RD, 2010, I WAS DRIVING SOUTH ON I-405S HEADING FROM LONG BEACH, CA TO SAN DIEGO, CA. I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH WHEN MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I LOST ALL ACCELERATION IN MY CAR. I STILL HAD ELECTRICAL POWER (IE, INDICATORS STILL WORKED, MY MANUAL TRANSMISSION WORKED AND INTERIOR DOME LIGHTS WORKED). I PULLED STRAIGHT OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE HIGHWAY AT WHICH POINT I NOTICED THAT THE HOOD OF MY CAR APPEARED TO BE MELTING AND THAT SMOKE WAS RISING OUT OF THE ENGINE. I JUMPED OUT OF THE CAR AND RAN TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD TO CALL 911. TWO GRACIOUS STRANGERS ATTEMPTED WITH TWO SEPARATE FIRE EXTINGUISHERS TO PUT OUT THE FIRE BUT WERE UNABLE TO. THE ENTIRE ENGINE COMPARTMENT WAS ENTIRELY CONSUMED BY FLAMES WITHIN 2-3 MINUTES. BY THE TIME THE FIRE DEPARTMENT AND EMTS ARRIVED, THE ENTIRE CAR WAS AFLAME AND WAS NO LONGER SALVAGEABLE. IT ONLY TOOK ABOUT 5 MINUTES FOR THE ENTIRE CAR TO GO UP IN FLAMES. ALL THAT REMAINED ONCE THE FIRE WAS PUT OUT WAS THE REAR-HATCHBACK DOOR. EVERYTHING ELSE IN THE CAR WAS COMPLETELY AND TOTALLY MELTED AND BURNED. THE STATE TROOPER WHO WAS AT THE SCENE OF THE INCIDENT SAID THAT THE CAR WAS SO BADLY BURNT IT WOULD BE EXTREMELY HARD TO DETERMINE WHAT CAUSED THE FIRE. I HAVE PICTURES OF THE CAR AFTER THE FIRE AND WOULD BE HAPPY TO SHARE THEM IF NEEDED. THE FIRE WAS SO FAST, HOT AND QUICK THAT IT WAS ONLY 30 MINUTES FROM WHEN MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I HAD TO PULL OVER, TO THE END OF THE ENTIRE ORDEAL. *TR

DRIVERS DOOR SPEAKERS WORKING RANDOMLY AND CUTTING OUT ALL TOGETHER AT TIMES, SOMETIMES WITH STATIC PRIOR TO CUTTING OUT. SO FAR THE SPEAKERS HAVE BEEN REPLACED ON OCT 2 2004,NOV 2 2004, NOV 15, 2004,DEC 7 2004. THE CAR STILL HAS THE SAME ISSUE AND THE DEALER DOES NOT SEEM TO BE ABLE TO FIND OR FIX THE PROBLEM. I HAVE LOOKED AT IT AND IN 2 SECONDS I FOUND THE ISSUE. IT IS A BROKEN WIRE IN THE DOOR PASS THROUGH. THE DEALER TELLS ME IT'S NOT A BROKEN WIRE BECAUSE THEY TESTED ALL THE WIRES AND THEY CHECKED OUT OK. IF THE SPEAKER IS NOT WORKING OR CUTTING OUT WITH THE DOOR OPEN AND YOU MOVED THE RUBBER PASS THROUGH, THE SPEAKER COMES BACK ON AND WORKS FOR A SHORT TIME AGAIN. DEALER HAS PERFORMED THE RECALL FOR THIS ON NOV 2 2004 BUT THERE IS STILL AN ISSUE. I STOPPED HAVING THEM TRY TO FIX THIS WHEN THE FACTORY WARRANTY RAN OUT BECAUSE OF THE COST INVOLVED. *TR

2002 AUDI A4 1.8T WITH GAUGE CLUSTER PROBLEMS CUSTOMER STATES THAT THIS SAME PROBLEM HAS BEEN HAPPEN WITH OTHER AUDI CAR FOR THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS**NAR**CC THE CONSUMER STATED SHE HAS NO WAY OF KNOWING HOW MUCH FUEL SHE HAS OR THE ENGINE TEMPERATURE. *JB

TL*- THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS A BAD IGNITION COIL IN HIS 2002 AUDI A4 CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO VIBRATE VIOLENTLY RESULTING IN HIS NOT BEING ABLE TO GO OVER 20 MPH WITHOUT LOSING CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT HAS EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM 4 TIMES SINCE 2003 AND HAS EITHER TOWED THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALER OR HAS DRIVEN IT TO THE DEALER NO FASTER THEN 20 MPH. AT THE DEALER THEY HAVE REPLACED THE IGNITION COILS ON THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT CAN PROVIDE COPY OF INVOICE REPAIR IF NEEDED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 40000 AND THE CURRENT WAS 70000 MILES.

AFTER DRIVING ABOUT A BLOCK AFTER COLD START, THE ENGINE BEGAN TO HESITATE. PROBLEM GOT WORSE. AFTER DRIVING A TOTAL OF ABOUT 3 BLOCKS, THE ENGINE DIED. THERE WERE WISPS OF SMOKE COMING OUT OF GRILL. UPON OPENING THE HOOD, DISCOVERED A SMALL FIRE ON TOP OF THE ENGINE. DEALER REPORTS THAT THE FIRE STARTED BECAUSE OF A COIL FAILURE. DAMAGE WAS LIMITED TO PLASTIC MANIFOLD COVER, BECAUSE FIRE WAS PUT OUT EARLY. *JB

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 AUDI A4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD CONSTANTLY OVERHEAT WITHOUT PROPER WARNING. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE RADIATOR AND THERMOSTAT, BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO ADVISED THAT THE PROBLEM WAS WITHIN THE ENGINE, BUT COULD NOT DETERMINE THE SPECIFIC CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INSPECTED BY THE DEALER OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

WE HAVE A 2002 AUDI A4 1.8L WITH 16,700 MILES ON IT (VERY VERY LOW MILEAGE). AT 16,700 MILES, THE WATER PUMP (ACCORDING TO THE DEALER) WENT BAD ... FOR THE YEAR OF THE VEHICLE, AND THE VERY VERY LOW USAGE, I SIMPLY FIND THIS UNACCEPTABLE. *TR

I WAS DRIVING DOWN GEORGIA AVENUE WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR BEGAN TO RIDE VERY ROUGH, A DASH LIGHT CAME ON AND THE ENGINE LOST COMPLETE POWER. I WAS ABLE TO START THE CAR UP AGAIN AND LUCKILY WAS ABLE TO COAST DOWN HILL TO MY HOME. (THE CAR IS A 5-SPEED) SMOKE WAS COMING OUT OF THE TAIL PIPE. I CALLED THE DEALER IN ROCKVILLE AND THEY SUGGESTED THAT IT WAS PROBABLY A COIL FAILURE. I HAD JUST HAD A COIL REPLACED IN FEBRUARY, WHEN A SIMILAR TYPE THING HAPPENED ON CONNECTICUT AVE. DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. THAT TIME I WAS ABLE TO COAST INTO A GAS STATION. THE CAR DIED WITH NO PREVIOUS WARNING. ALL FOUR COILS HAVE BEEN REPLACED (4 CYLINDER) WITH NO REIMBURSEMENT FROM AUDI BECAUSE THE CAR IS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. I ASKED THE DEALER WHETHER THIS WAS ONE OF THE RECALL ITEMS THAT AUDI PUT NOTICE OUT ON AND THEY SAID NO. NOW THAT I READ THAT OTHERS HAVE HAD SIMILAR PROBLEMS WITH THEIR A4S IT SEEMS TO ME LIKE THIS IS A DEFECT IN THE SYSTEM AND SHOULD BE COVERED BY AUDI. AFTER ALL, MY DEALER TOLD ME THAT AUDI CHANGED THE COIL SYSTEM ON THE NEWER MODELS BECAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 AUDI A4. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH SHE HEARD A LOUD POPPING NOISE AND SMOKE CAME FROM UNDERNEATH THE HOOD. THE CONTACT WAS UNABLE TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AND IT WAS TOWED TO A DEALER. THEY DEALER ADVISED HER THAT THE DIFFERENTIAL IN THE TRANSMISSION OVERHEATED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND OFFERED TO BUY HER VEHICLE FOR $500. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 105,000.

2002 AUDI A4 1.8T, TRANSMISSION CTV, THE CAR HAS 75,000 MILES EVERYTHING WORKS IN THE CAR WITH SOME MINOR STUFF, BUT THE TRANSMISSION START TO JERK WHEN STOP IN A RED LIGHT, IS ALMOST UNCONTROLLABLE, IT WANT TO MOVE THE FORWARD, SO I HAVE TO PRESS THE BRAKE HARD SO IT DOESN'T MOVE. IT STARTS TO GET DANGEROUS TO DRIVE IN THAT KIND OF CONDITION. THE CONTACT COASTED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP. THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE WAS DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO ADVISED THE CONTACT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER. THE CURRENT AND FAILURE MILEAGES WERE APPROXIMATELY 97,000.

MY 2002 AUDI A4 HAS A DEFECT WITH THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE. THIS DEFECT RESULTS IN THE LOSS OF MY ABILITY TO PUT THE GEAR IN REVERSE (AUTOMATIC CVT TRANSMISSION). THIS HAS HAPPENED TO ME SEVERAL TIMES WITHIN THE PAST MONTH ( WHICH IS WHEN THIS PROBLEM STARTED). I WAS FACED WITH A HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE WHERE I NEEDED TO REVERSE IN ORDER TO AVOID A BUS FROM HITTING MY CAR WHILE IT WAS TURNING ONTO THE ROAD I WAS STOPPED AT. THE REVERSE DID NOT WORK, AND IT ACTED AS IF IT WERE IN NEUTRAL. I QUICKLY SHIFTED TO NEUTRAL AND BACK TO REVERSE AND LUCKILY (THAT TIME) IT WORKED. I NOTICED THAT WHEN MY CAR DOESN'T REVERSE THE PRND FLASHES ON THE GAUGE CLUSTER. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS PROBLEM AND NOTICED THAT THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THEIR AUDI A4'S. IT'S ONLY A MATTER OF TIME BEFORE I GET INTO AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THIS FAULTY ERROR THAT AUDI HAS NOT RECALLED. MY MECHANIC CONFIRMED MY SUSPICIONS OF THE TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE FAILING AND SAID IT WILL GET WORSE OVER TIME. AFTER DRIVING FOR A FEW MINUTES THE LEFT DIPPED HEADLIGHT MESSAGE DISPLAYS ON THE DASH AND THE LEFT (DRIVER SIDE) HEADLIGHT WILL FLICKER ON AND OFF A FEW TIMES AND THEN GO OUT COMPLETELY. TURNING THE HEADLIGHTS OFF AND ON A FEW TIMES WILL GET IT TO COME ON AGAIN BUT ONLY FOR A SHORT TIME. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS THE LIGHTS ARE A REQUIRED SAFETY ITEM ON ALL VEHICLES AND IT IS A TICKETABLE ITEM. THIS NEEDS TO BE A SAFETY RECALL FROM AUDI AS NONE OF THE DEALERS SEEM TO KNOW HOW TO REPAIR THE ITEM WITHOUT HAVING YOU SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS TRYING TO SWAP OUT PARTS UNTIL YOU FIND SOMETHING THAT MIGHT STOP IT. MOST BLOGS HAVE SAID THAT THE DEALER CAN NEVER FIND A SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM AFTER THEY HAVE SPENT $2-3K AND FINALLY GAVE UP AND ARE DRIVING THE CAR WITHOUT 1 OR MORE HEADLIGHTS. *TR

THE HEADLIGHTS FOR THE 2002-2005(6) AUDI A4 WILL FLICKER ON AND OFF AND OFTEN TURN OFF COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING THIS IS NOT CAUSED BY ANN ACCIDENT OR IMPROPER CARE BUT RATHER FAULTY MANUFACTURING. IT IS VERY COMMON WITH THESE VEHICLES. WHEN THIS PROBLEM BEGINS IT WILL TYPICALLY OCCUR REGULARLY (EVERY USE OF THE VEHICLE). THE SIDE VIEW MIRRORS INTERMITTENTLY, SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NEW, ADJUST THEMSELVES OUTWARD MAKING OPERATION A DANGER. NEVER ABLE TO DUPLICATE AT DEALER, NOW OUT OF WARRANTY AND STILL A PROBLEM. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 AUDI A4 EQUIPPED WITH BRIDGESTONE POTENZA TIRES, SIZE: 225/45R17. WHILE PARKED, IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE TIRE HAD TREAD SEPARATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE TIRE WAS REPLACED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE WAS REPLACED PREVIOUSLY FOR THE SAME FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE TIRE AND VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE DOT NUMBER AND VIN WERE NOT AVAILABLE.

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE TRAVELING 60 MPH ON A DRY AND FLAT INTERSTATE, THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SWERVE TO THE LEFT AND ALMOST COLLIDED WITH A MEDIAN. UPON INSPECTION, IT WAS NOTICED THAT THE WHOLE SIDEWALL HAD SEPARATED FROM THE TREAD, AND THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE HAD SMALL SPOTS WHERE THE TREAD JOINED THE SIDEWALL. A DONUT TIRE REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE TIRE. ON 09/18/06, THE TIRE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED, AND SUGGESTED THAT THE VEHICLE BE TAKEN TO A TIRE DEALERSHIP. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER, WHO AGREED THAT THE TIRE WAS DEFECTIVE BUT OFFERED NO RESOLUTION. THE MANUFACTURER SUGGESTED THAT THE DEFECTIVE TIRES BE SENT IN FOR INSPECTION AND THAT 4 NEW TIRES SHOULD BE PURCHASED. THE TIRES WERE REGULARLY CHECKED FOR CORRECT PRESSURE, AND ROTATED ON TIME. THE CONTACT DID NOT NOTICE ANY VIBRATIONS WHILE DRIVING. THERE WAS NO ABNORMAL BULGING IN THE TIRES. PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE SIDEWALLS ON THE FRONT DRIVER AND REAR PASSENGER SIDE TIRES WERE CRACKED.

3 OF 4 BRIDGESTONE POTENZA RE-950 TIRES, SIZE 235/45/R17 93H TIRES HAVE EXPERIENCED DELAMINATION OF THE TREAD ON THE INSIDE WEAR EDGE; ALIGNMENT ON MY AUDI A4 HAS BEEN VERIFIED TO MEET MANUFACTURER SPEC, YET THE INSIDE EDGES OF THE TIRES HAVE BROKEN OPEN TO EXPOSE LAYERS OF TIRE AND THE INTEGRITY OF THE TIRE HAS BEEN BREACHED. IN ONE CASE, A 8 INCH BY 1/2 INCH BY 1/2 INCH SECTION COMPLETELY GAVE WAY AND FLEW OFF THE TIRE. THESE TIRES WERE DISCONTINUED BY BRIDGESTONE AND I NOW KNOW WHY. I REPLACED ALL 4 TIRES WITH BRIDGESTONE G09'S AND I HAVE NOT HAD THIS PROBLEM REOCCUR. NOTE, SYSTEM WILL NOT ACCEPT AUDI A4 AS VEHICLE TYPE, SO I USED TOYOTA; I DO HAVE A 3.0L A4 QUATTRO. *JB

DT: THE CONSUMERS VEHICLE HAD TWO TIRE FAILURES WITHIN THE LAST ELEVEN MONTHS FOR NO APPARENT REASON. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THEY DID NOT KNOW WHY HE WAS HAVING TIRE FAILURE. MICHELIN, PRIMACY, SIZE IS 235/4517. ON JUNE 24,2004, THE CONSUMER NOTICED A LOSS OF TIRE PRESSURE WHICH WAS ABOUT 1LB OR 2 EVERY MONTH. THE PROBLEM WAS UNABLE TO BE FIGURED OUT. WHILE REPLACING THE VALVE STEM, ALONG WITH PLACING THE TIRE BACK ON THE RIM WHILE TRYING TO RE-INFLATE THE TIRE, THE INSIDE WALL OF THE TIRE BLISTERED. THE VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. THE TIRE WAS SENT TO MICHELIN FOR EVALUATION. THERE WAS A TINY LEAK IN THE TIRE, BUT THAT WASN'T ENOUGH TO CAUSE THE BLISTER, REEVALUATION COULD NOT DETERMINE WHY THE TIRE BLISTERED. THE REPLACEMENT TIRE FAILED ON 5-25-2005 WHILE IN A PARKING LOT AND THE TIRE WALL BEGAN TO SEPARATE FROM THE TIRE. AMERICA TIRE COMPANY ANALYZED THE TIRE, AND NO CAUSE FOR THE TIRE FAILURE WAS DETERMINED. ALSO, THIS TIRE WAS SENT FOR EVALUATION AND THE CONSUMER HAS NOT HEARD ANYTHING YET. I AM ADDING TO A PREVIOUS COMPLAINT [ODI 768857 - REF 704187] REPORTING 2 GOODYEAR SIDE WALL TIRE FAILURES. I HAVE NOW EXPERIENCED A 3RD SIDE WALL BUBBLE AND FAILURE. AGAIN THERE IS NO RIM DAMAGE AND PROPER TIRE PRESSURES HAVE BEEN MAINTAINED. THE CAR HAS NOT BEEN OPERATED OFF ROAD. I'M CAUGHT BETWEEN AUDI WHICH TAKES NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE TIRES ON THEIR CARS AND GOODYEAR. I HAVE NEVER HAD TIRE FAILURES ON ANY OF THE OTHER 5 CARS WE OWN AND CONTINUE TO BE SURE THAT THIS MUST BE A COMMON PROBLEM CAUSED BY WEAK SIDE WALLS.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2002 AUDI A4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH, THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED WHICH CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO GO THROUGH AN INTERSECTION. THE CONTACT ENGAGED THE BRAKES TO STOP AND SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF. THE CONTACT RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE RPMS INCREASED RAPIDLY SO THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE PROBLEM I AM EXPERIENCING IS A LAG IN THROTTLE RESPONSE. WHEN THE ACCELERATOR IS DEPRESSED THERE IS A MOMENT WHERE NOTHING HAPPENS THEN, A SECOND LATER THE CAR ACCELERATES VERY RAPIDLY. THIS ESPECIALLY NOTICEABLE WHEN DRIVING IN STOP-AND-GO TRAFFIC WHERE YOUR FOOT GOES FROM THE BRAKE TO THE THROTTLE FREQUENTLY. MY WIFE ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT DUE TO THIS DELAY; SHE WAS MAKING A LEFT TURN ACROSS THE ONCOMING LANE, WHEN AN OPENING APPEARED, SHE DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR AND FOR A MOMENT NOTHING HAPPENED, THEN THE CAR FINALLY GOES AND PUTS HER RIGHT INTO THE PATH OF ONCOMING TRAFFIC. HAD THE ONCOMING CAR NOT BRAKED, SHE FEELS SHE WOULD HAVE BEEN HIT. IT IS FOR THIS REASON THAT I BELIEVE THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AND NOT A CONVENIENCE ISSUE. I CONTACTED AUDI VIA E-MAIL TO LET THEM KNOW ABOUT THIS AND THEY INSTRUCTED ME TO BRING THE CAR TO THE DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIC AND ROAD TEST WHICH I DID. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE CAR IS "OPERATING WITHIN MANUFACTURER'S SPECS'' AND THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR. WHEN I FOLLOWED UP WITH AUDI THEY CONCURRED WITH THE DEALER AND AGAIN STATED THAT THERE IS NOTHING THAT CAN BE DONE. I LOGGED-ON TO AN AUDI ALLROAD FORUM(AUDIWORLD.COM) AND MANY OTHER ALLROAD OWNERS ARE EXPERIENCING THE SAME PROBLEMS, AND GETTING THE SAME RESULTS WHEN THEY CONTACT AUDI, WHICH IS NO AKNOWLEDGEMENT OF THE PROBLEM. THE IGNITION COIL MADE THE VEHICLE RIDE ROUGH. WHILE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER AND CUT OFF. ON 3-25- I BOUGHT A 2002 AUDI A4 QUATTRO FROM A LOCAL USED CAR DEALER. AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT WAS ON AND THE CAR COULD NOT PASS INSPECTION.THE SELLER ASSURED ME THAT THE CAR WOULD PASS INSPECTION AFTER HE CHANGED THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. HE HELD ONTO THE CAR AND A WEEK LATER I GOT IT BACK AND THE INSPECTION STICKER WAS AFFIXED. ON ANOTHER OCCASION THE ENGINE SPLASHGUARD FELL OFF THE CAR OUTSIDE THE DOOR OF THE SELLER. I LEFT THE CAR THERE. THE SPLASHGUARD WAS RE-ATTACHED BY THE SELLER OR HIS MECHANIC (WITH PLASTIC TIES, SINCE HE CLAIMED HE DID NOT HAVE THE PARTS ... EVEN THOUGH HE HAD MY CAR FOR OVER 24 HRS!). WHAT IF I HAD BEEN DRIVING THE CAR WHEN THIS OCCURRED? IN BOTH CASES I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED OR INJURED, AND OTHER PEOPLE COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED OR INJURED AS WELL. I QUESTION IF THESE ARE "ISOLATED" INCIDENTS, AND IF THIS IS AN ONGOING PATTERN OF DECEPTIVE AND UNFAIR PRACTICES WHICH ARE PLACING THE CITIZENRY HEALTH AND SAFETY AT RISK? THE DRIVER'S SEAT POSITION IS CONTROLLED BY MOTORS, CONTROLLED BY 3 CONTROLS ON THE SIDE OF THE SEAT. THE MOTORS MOVE AT RANDOM, BOTH WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION AND WHILE IT'S PARKED (NO KEY, NO PERSON IN VEHICLE). THE FIRST OCCURRENCES INVOLVED THE SEAT BACK MOVING BACK AND FORTH. THIS WAS AN INCONVENIENCE. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE INTERMITTENT PROBLEM AND CHOSE NOT TO DO ANYTHING TO RESOLVE IT. THE PROBLEM HAS INCREASED IN SEVERITY AND NOW THE SEAT ITSELF MOVES BACK WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. I AM 5' TALL - IT DOESN'T TAKE MUCH MOVEMENT FOR MY FEET TO COME OFF THE PEDALS.
