Headlights flickering. Must turn off the headlights and turn them back on for this issue to go away. All headlight components were replaced including the bulb and this issue still is there. The Audi dealerships seem to not know how to fix this issue. This issue is only on the left side/driver side. The dealer could not duplicate this issue on the right side/passenger side. All new parts were installed.

WHILE DRIVING, THE HEADLIGHT FLICKERS AND GOES OUT. IF HEADLIGHTS ARE TURNED OFF AND BACK ON, HEADLIGHT WORKS JUST FINE. WHEN I SEARCHED ON THE INTERNET MANY INDIVIDUALS WITH THIS CAR MAKE HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. REPLACING THE BULB DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM. SOME INDIVIDUALS HAVE SAID THAT AUDI DEALERSHIPS SAY THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX THE PROBLEM

SO I WAS DRIVING FROM WORK LIKE AROUND 10:25 PM MONDAY NIGHT SEPTEMBER 14 2015 WHEN I NOTICE THAT THE RIGHT HEADLIGHT OF MY CAR STARTED FLICKERING AND ALL THE SUDDEN WENT OFF WHICH CAUSED ME TO NOT BEING ABLE TO SEE THAT WELL, AND THERE WERE PEDESTRIANS WALKING ON THE ROAD WHICH CAUSED ME TO DRIVE MORE SLOW THAN THE ALLOWED SPEED LIMIT GOOD THING IT WASN'T FAR FROM HOME WHERE IT HAPPEN...NEXT DAY THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON AND SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN THE LIGHT STARTED FLICKERING AGAIN AND IT WENT OFF AT THIS POINT I'VE BEEN LOOKING AROUND TO ACTUALLY FIXED THIS ISSUE WITH NO LUCK ALSO I'VE SEEN A LOT PEOPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE WHICH THEY CALLED THE DIPPED HEADLIGHT ISSUE.. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 AUDI A4. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT APPROXIMATELY 70 MPH, THE HEADLIGHTS FAILED WITHOUT WARNING. THE FAILURE RECURRED CONSTANTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE WAS NOT DETERMINED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 112,000.

The airbags in our 2005 Audi A4 were recalled. We had the airbag replaced due to the recall in Audi of Stratham, 58 Portsmouth Ave, Stratham, NH 03885 in February 2023. On 12/8/23, my daughter was involved in a serious front-end collation with another vehicle. The airbags in the Audi did not deploy. The other vehicle (which sustained less damage) did deploy. Without the airbags, her face hit the steering wheel, causing a large laceration to her eyelid and significant bruising and swelling to her face.

DESPITE THE PASSENGER AIR BAG BEING REPLACED A FEW YEARS AGO; I CONTINUE TO GET WARNING LIGHT AND NOW IS NOT FUNCTION. ALBANY AUDI SAYS THERE IS NO RECALL AND IT WILL COST ME $150 TO DIAGNOSE. I HAVE SPOKEN WITH SEVERAL MECHANICS WHO ATTEST TO PROBLEMS WITH RECALLED REPLACEMENT BAGS.

ON JULY 2, 2020 I WAS IN A CITY STREET SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT WAITING FOR IT TO TURN GREEN WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN THE STEERING WHEEL, DRIVER SIDE SEAT AND THE DRIVER SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED HITTING ME. I WAS IN A STATE OF SHOCK SINCE I WAS NOT MOVING OR HAD NOT BEEN HIT. I HAD TO MOVE THE CAR OVER INTO A PARKING LOT. THE HORN WAS HONKING AND WOULD NOT STOP SO I HAD TO TAKE OUT FUSE. I DID NOT KNOW WHAT TO DO SO I CALLED A FAMILY FRIEND TO COME HELP TOW THE CAR BACK TO MY HOUSE SINCE I WAS NOT FAR FROM IT. THEN ON JULY 5, 2020 I RECEIVED A POST CARD IN THE MAIL FROM AUDI DEALERSHIP SAYING THERE WAS A URGENT AIRBAG SAFETY RECALL. SO ON JULY 6, 2020 I CONTACTED THE DEALERSHIP AND EXPLAINED WHAT HAD HAPPENED AND LEFT MY INFORMATION. I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING BACK FROM THEM SINCE. I HAVE NOT DRIVEN THE CAR IT HAD BEEN SITTING IN DRIVEWAY SINCE THIS HAPPENED.

MY RIGHT HEADLIGHT HAS BEEN FLICKERING FOR ABOUT 3 MONTHS, AND A FEW TIMES IT HAS GONE OUT COMPLETELY. TURNING THE HEADLIGHTS OFF AND BACK ON FIXES IT FOR A COUPLE DAYS. I WAITED TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER UNTIL IT NEEDED MAINTENANCE, AND ALSO SO THERE WOULD BE MORE DTC EVIDENCE FOR THEM TO TROUBLESHOOT WITH. THE LEFT HEADLIGHT STARTED DOING THE SAME THING SO I TOOK IT IN. AUDI CANNOT REPLICATE AND WILL NOT REPLACE THE HEADLIGHTS.

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY AND HAVE CONTINUOUSLY GOTTEN THE "DIPPED LIGHT" WARNING ON MY DISPLAY. MY LIGHTS PROCCEDED TO FLICKER AND THEN SHUT OFF. I WAS DRIVING RIGHT NEXT TO A CAR AND HAD TO PULL OVER BECAUSE THEY WOULDN'T COME ON. IT TOOK 15 MINUTES BEFORE THE HEADLIGHTS RETURNED TO NORMAL. I WAS EXTREMELY SCARED WHEN MY HEADLIGHTS TURNED OFF. THIS IS A BIG SAFETY ISSUE AND HAS OCCURRED 3 TIMES SINCE THEN. I HAVE REPLACED THE BULBS AND THAT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. CAR HEADLIGHTS PERIODICALLY FLICKER AND TURN OFF UNDER NORMAL CONDITIONS. DRIVER SIDE FLICKERS ON ACCELERATION AND PASSENGER SIDE WILL FLICKER AND TURN OFF COMPLETELY DURING ACCELERATION OR BRAKING. HAVE TO SWITCH THE HEADLIGHTS COMPLETELY OFF AND BACK ON FOR THEM TO LIGHT UP AGAIN. I HAVE THE BI-XENON HID ADAPTIVE HEADLIGHTS FACTORY INSTALLED ON MY CAR. I JUST RECEIVED A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT LETTER DESCRIBING REIMBURSEMENTS FOR CLASS MEMBERS WHO HAVE EITHER REPAIRED OR HAD AN AUTHORIZED AUDI DEALERSHIP DOCUMENT THE ISSUE WITHIN THE 5 YEAR/50,000 MILE WARRANTY FROM DATE OF ORIGINAL PURCHASE OR LEASE. I BOUGHT MY CAR AT 51,XXX MILES AND AM OUT OF WARRANTY WITH NO ACCESS TO THE PREVIOUS OWNERS RECORDS. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE THAT SHOULD BE IDENTIFIED AND A FULL RECALL CAMPAIGN SHOULD BE INITIALIZED WITH AUDI OF AMERICA (AOA). FROM WHAT I HAVE GATHERED ON THE INTERNET, THERE ARE 100'S IF NOT 1000'S OF A4'S HAVING THIS PROBLEM BUT AOA REFUSES TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR IT AND CLAIM THE HEADLIGHTS ARE OPERATING NORMALLY. NORMALLY IS NOT TURNING OFF WHILE DRIVING ON THEIR OWN. I HAVE DEALT WITH THIS ISSUE FOR 5 YEARS THAT I HAVE OWNED MY CAR AND NEVER ASKED THE DEALERSHIP FOR A REPAIR DUE TO IT BEING OUT OF WARRANTY AND IS EXPENSIVE ($1000+). WE ARE THE 2ND OWNER OF AN AUDI A4 CONVERTIBLE, PURCHASED IN NOVEMBER OF 2010 WITH 25K MILES. WITHIN TWO YEARS, WE BEGAN TO HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE CVT TRANSMISSION AND HAD TO HAVE THE TCM REPLACED, WHICH WAS LATER REIMBURSED BY AUDI AS A RESULT OF A CLASS-ACTION LAWSUIT. IN JANUARY OF 2014, AT 38K MILES, AUDI DIAGNOSED THE TRANSMISSION AS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDING REPLACEMENT, TRANSMISSION SLIPPING WHEN COLD, VEHICLE SHUDDERING. ON COMPLAINT TO AUDI, THEY AGREED TO COVER 50% OF THE COSTS, WHICH WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY $7,000 WHICH RESULTED IN MY WIFE BEING AFRAID TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE IN COLD WEATHER. REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION AT HALF COST. AT 47K MILES, AGAIN COLD WEATHER, THE PROBLEM HAS WORSENED, VEHICLE OFTEN WON'T REVERSE AND TRANSMISSION LOCKS UP UNEXPECTEDLY. AS THE VEHICLE CANNOT BE DRIVEN SAFELY, MY WIFE WILL NOT DRIVE IT UNTIL IT IS SAFE AGAIN. AS THERE IS DOCUMENTED EVIDENCE OF KNOWN ISSUES WITH THIS TRANSMISSION (US DISTRICT COURT # CV11-00665 BRO AGRX), AUDI SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR 100% OF THE COSTS TO REPAIR AND CVT TRANSMISSION WHICH RESULTS IN A VEHICLE BEING UNSAFE TO OPERATE.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 AUDI A4. WHEN THE CONTACT STARTED THE VEHICLE SHE HEARD A HUMMING NOISE IN THE FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, SIX MONTHS AFTER THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED THE IDENTICAL FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND THE FUEL FILTER WAS REPLACED. THERE WERE NO PRIOR WARNINGS. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 50,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 96,000.

ENGINE WAS STARVED OF FUEL ON A BUSY HIGHWAY. APPARENT FUEL PUMP FAILURE WITH NO WARNING. POLICE HAD TO DIRECT TRAFFIC UNTIL VEHICLE COULD BE TOWED. $600 REPAIR TO REPLACE AUDI OEM FUEL PUMP. I KNOW OTHERS HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM BY LOOKING AT CARFAX REPORTS. PUMP WAS PREMATURELY DEFECTIVE. MECHANIC CONFIRMED THAT FUEL FILTER WAS CLEAN AND FUNCTIONING (NOT CHANGED). DRIVING AN 2005 AUDI A4 QUATTRO ON A BUSY INTERSTATE HIGHWAY, THE CAR BEGAN TO SPUTTER AND EXPERIENCE ACCELERATION SURGING AND DECELERATION. I WAS ABLE TO EXIT THE ROADWAY AND HAD VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALER, EEE MOTORS IN SPRINGFIELD VIRGINIA. EEE MOTORS IDENTIFIED A FUEL SYSTEM PROBLEM, HAD VEHICLE SHIPPED TO AUDI OF ALEXANDRIA FOR FURTHER DIAGNOSIS AND REPAIR. AUDI DEALER REPORTED FUEL PUMP NEEDED REPLACEMENT AS WELL AS A LOW PRESSURE FUEL SENSOR. APPEARS TO BE SAME PROBLEM AS THAT WHICH RESULTED IN THE 2004 AUDI A4 FUEL PUMP SAFETY RECALL. THE TIMING CHAIN (NOT THE TIMING BELT, WHICH HAD BEEN CHANGED WELL BEFORE THE RECOMMENDED TIME) BROKE. THIS CAUSED THE ENGINE TO SEIZE IMMEDIATE RESULTING IN THE CAR COMING TO A RAPID AND ABRUPT STOP. FORTUNATELY FOR ME, IT OCCURRED AT LOW SPEED ON A VERY QUIET STREET. HAD IT OCCURRED ON A FREEWAY, SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH LIKELY WOULD HAVE RESULTED SINCE THE CAR DECELERATED SO QUICKLY I WOULD NOT HAVE HAD TIME TO COAST INTO THE BREAKDOWN LANE. APPARENTLY FAILURES OF THESE TIMING CHAINS OCCUR COMMONLY; AUDI APPARENTLY HAS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY PROGRAM FOR SOME CAM FOLLOWER WEAR PROBLEMS (THAT MAY OR MAY NOT INVOLVE A TIMING CHAIN FAILURE). BUT THEY DO NOT LIST THE CHAIN OR THE FOLLOWER AS MAINTENANCE OR INSPECTION ITEMS, AND GIVE OWNERS NO HINT THAT THEY SHOULD INSPECT THE FOLLOWER, OR REPLACE THE CHAIN PERIODICALLY. TIMING CHAIN FAILURES ON ZERO CLEARANCE ENGINES (VW HAS THE SAME ENGINE AND APPARENTLY THE SAME PROBLEM), WILL KILL FOLKS IF THEY OCCUR ON FREEWAYS OR OTHER ROADS WHERE AN INABILITY TO COAST TO A SAFE STOPPING POINT WILL LEAVE MOTORISTS AT INCREDIBLE RISK. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 AUDI A4. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A NOTICE STATING THAT THE VEHICLE WAS RUNNING ON THREE CYLINDERS. THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS NO REASON FOR CONCERN AND THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD BE FINE. THE DEALER REPLACED THE ENGINE COIL IN ORDER TO REDUCE THE AMOUNT OF GASOLINE THAT WAS BEING USED. THREE MONTHS LATER THE TURBO FAILED AND THE ENGINE MALFUNCTIONED. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGES WERE 62000.

I PURCHASED CERTIFIED PRE OWNED CAR FROM DEALERSHIP-AUDI A4 3.0 QUATTRO, 2005. 2 DAYS LATER I COULD NOT PASS REQUIRED STATE INSPECTION DUE TO "CHECK ENGINE" ISSUE-MISFIRE ON A 6TH CYLINDER. I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP A FEW DAYS LATER TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED TEMPORARILY AND CAR PASSED THE INSPECTION-'CHECK ENGINE' LIGHT WAS RESET BY DEALERSHIP. A FEW MONTHS LATER "CHECK ENGINE" ISSUE CAME BACK AFTER SCHEDULED MAINTENANCE (AT 50,000 MILES) WAS DONE BY AUTHORIZED DEALERSHIP. PROBLEM WAS TEMPORARILY CORRECTED 2ND TIME. IN DECEMBER 2008 AFTER 3RD TIME "CHECK ENGINE" ISSUE, DEALERSHIP PROPOSED TO REPLACE WHOLE ENGINE IN ORDER TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE, WHICH WAS DONE. ON FEBRUARY 11, 2009 DRIVING BACK HOME FROM WORK I'VE NOTICED AN EXHAUST GAS SMELL INSIDE THE CAR, CAR WAS SHAKING AND "CHECK ENGINE " LIGHT WAS "ON"/NOT STEADY. I CONTACTED AUDI CUSTOMER SERVICE ADVOCATES TO REPORT THE PROBLEM AND START THE CASE. I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR 4TH TIME. THEY PERFORMED NECESSARY STEPS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM BUT FAILED (2 SENSORS WERE REPLACED ACCORDING TO THEM AND "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT STILL "ON"). I WAS INFORMED THAT DEALERSHIP DID NOT REPLACE THE WHOLE ENGINE BACK IN DECEMBER 2008 - THEY ONLY REPLACED LOWER PART OF THE ENGINE KNOWING THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH MISFIRE ON 6TH CYLINDER (UPPER PART OF THE ENGINE). AFTER 3 WEEKS OF WAITING AND CONSTANT REPAIRS I AM NOT SURE THAT THIS PROBLEM HAS BEEN CORRECTED PERMANENTLY. FACTS: CAR WAS PURCHASED AT 49,000 MILES ON APRIL 29, 2008. AS I WAS DRIVING THE GAS PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR FULL THROTTLE. I ALMOST HAD AN ACCIDENT. I FINAL GOT THE CAR OVER TO THE ROAD AT A STOP BY PUTTING THE CAR IN NEUTRAL. THE ENGINE REVVED UP AS HIGH AS IT COULD GO. SO I CUT THE CAR OFF THEN CUT IT BACK ON AND IT CONTINUED TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. IT TOOK 3 TIMES OF CUTTING THE CAR OFF AND WAITING A FEW MINUTES BEFORE THE CAR RETURNED TO NORMAL.

THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY ACCELERATED TO 100 MPH ERRONEOUSLY. THE CONTACT CONTINUED DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL AND WAS ABLE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING OR POSSIBLE REPAIRS. THE DRIVER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND NOTICED THAT THE FLOOR MAT RETENTION SYSTEM FAILED AND CAUSED THE FLOOR MAT TO BECOME LODGED UNDER THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, CAUSING THE FAILURE. UNINTENDED ACCELERATION: VEHICLE CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE AFTER ENTERING HIGHWAY. DRIVER PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL (MANUAL TRANSMISSION). TACHOMETER CONTINUED TO INCREASE UNTIL IT RED-LINED. DRIVER PULLED OFF THE HIGHWAY AND TURNED THE ENGINE OFF. THE THROTTLE RELEASED WITH A POPPING NOISE. DRIVER OBSERVED THE THROTTLE AND THE MAT DID NOT APPEAR TO BE PUSHING ON THE THROTTLE BUT THE MAT WAS NOT SECURED IN PLACE. TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER (WHERE IT WAS BOUGHT AND SERVICED REGULARLY). 2005.5 (MIDYEAR) AUDI A4 2.0T WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY, THE CAR BEGAN TO ACCELERATE OUT OF CONTROL FOR APPROXIMATELY 15-25 SECONDS DESPITE THE FACT THAT THE ACCELERATOR WAS NOT BEING DEPRESSED. THIS OCCURRED EVEN THOUGH NO PRESSURE WAS BEING APPLIED TO THE GAS PEDAL. THE CAR QUICKLY PICKED UP SPEED, REACHING SPEEDS OF 90+ MPH ON A CROWDED URBAN HIGHWAY DURING RUSH HOUR. A COLLISION WAS BARELY AVOIDED. THERE WAS NO MECHANICAL OBSTRUCTION TO THE GAS PEDAL (I.E THERE WAS NO MAT OR DEBRIS IN THE WAY). FURTHERMORE, THERE WAS LIMITED BRAKE FUNCTION AT THIS TIME. I BOUGHT 4 BF GOODRICH TRACTION T/A'S FROM BIG O TIRES IN SAN RAMON, CA FOR MY 2005 AUDI A4 2.0T, AND WITHIN A YEAR (12,000 MILES) THE FRONT TWO WERE SHOWING CRACKS IN THE SIDEWALL, ONE OF WHICH INTO THE CORDS. THAT TIRE GOT REPLACED IMMEDIATELY. THE ASSISTANT MANAGER AT BIG O, JAMES, TOLD ME "IT HAPPENS ALL THE TIME", AND "PROBABLY FROM RUBBING AGAINST CURBS". HE THOUGHT THE ONE THAT JUST HAD SURFACE CRACKING AROUND AND NO DAMAGE TO THE CORDS WAS OKAY TO NOT REPLACE "SHOULD BE FINE". ONE AND A HALF MONTHS AND ONE FREEWAY BLOWOUT LATER, IT'S OBVIOUS THE TIRES WERE ALL BAD FOR SOME REASON. THE BACK TWO: ONE NOW SHOWING SAME SIDEWALL CRACKS AND THE OTHER ONE BLEW OUT. I OWN AN AUDI A4 2.0. THIS CAR HAS A PROBLEM OF LOCKING UNEXPECTEDLY AND LEAVING THE DRIVER STRANDED. THE FIRST 2 TIMES I WAS CHECKING MY MAIL AT THE TOP OF THE DRIVEWAY BUT FOUND LOCKED OUT OF THE CAR WHEN I RETURNED TO THE CAR. FORTUNATELY BEING NEAR THE HOME, I WAS ABLE TO GET THE DUPLICATE KEY AND GET IN. THE MOST RECENT INCIDENT HAPPENED WHEN MY WIFE STARTED THE CAR AND LEFT THE ENGINE RUNNING TO WARM THE CAR WHILE SHE WAS CLEANING THE SNOW. AFTER 10 YEARS OF USE, TURNING LEFT THE RUBBER WHEEL BEARING ON THE DRIVER SIDE MAKES A POP NOISE. NOT FROM DRIVING ERRADIC BUT FROM TYPICAL WEAR AND TEAR. ALSO, THERE IS AN MPH CHECK ENGINE LIGHT THAT COMES ON BUT WHEN PLUGGED UP TO A CODE READER, NO PROBLEMS ARE FOUND. CARS WONT PASS SMOG WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ON, SO THIS IS A MAJOR CONCERN. IF THERE ARE NO MECHANICAL ISSUES WHY WOULD THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON? I THINK COMPUTERS IN LUXURY CARS BACK THEN WERE A BIT TOO ADVANCED FOR THEIR TIME AND WEREN'T VERY WELL THOUGHT OUT. 'TAKATA RECALL' I MADE APPOINTMENTS AND REGISTERED TO GET MY AIRBAG REPLACED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THIS IS THE RESULT OF A FAULTY ELECTRICAL MODULE WHICH MANY FORUMS DESCRIBE AS A FREQUENT OCCURRENCE AND AS A RESULT A REDESIGN BY THE MANUFACTURER. THE AUDI PART IS ~$1900. THE GLUE SEPARATED FROM THE CONVERTIBLE TOP WHICH ALLOWED WATER TO GET INTO THE VEHICLE AND RUIN THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AND CARPET; THE TOP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO STATED THAT THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 400 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 7,000.

DT: THE CONTACT OWNS A 2005 AUDI A4 2.0 LITER TURBO ENGINE. THE NON LINEAR ACCELERATION, IT WILL BOG AND SURGE WHILE IN TRAFFIC. WHILE PRESSING HARD ON THE GAS, IT WILL SUDDENLY SURGE FORWARD, CAUSING DRIVERS BEHIND HIM TO CONSTANTLY APPLY THE BRAKES. ALSO, THE LOW SPEED POWER STEERING WILL NOT COME ON. IT WAS LIMITED AND VERY HARD TO STEER. THIS PROBLEM WITH THE POWER STEERING STARTED INTERMITTENTLY. THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. BUT BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF POWER STEERING ACCELERATION PREVENTED FROM BEING HIT. THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN AT THE DEALERSHIP FIVE TIMES FOR THE ACCELERATING PROBLEM, AND ONCE FOR THE POWER STEERING PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP HAS NOT CORRECTED THE ACCELERATION PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP STARTED A DIAGNOSTIC TEST ON THE POWER STEERING. THE CONTACT CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER MANY TIMES, AND THEY WERE COOPERATIVE. THE REPAIRS ARE BEING DELAYED BECAUSE THE DEALERSHIP FORGOT TO ORDER THE PARTS. THE NUMBERS OF FAILURES WERE 100 TIMES AT LEAST. THE PROBLEMS FIRST BEGAN 10 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE ON APRIL 4, 2005, AND IT WAS IN FOR SERVICE ON APRIL 14, 2005. THE CONSUMER WAS TOLD THE BOG AND SURGE WAS WITHIN AUDI'S SPECIFICATIONS AND NO CORRECTIVE ACTION WOULD TAKE PLACE. 11/15/05. *JB
