JAN. 10 AT 8 AM MY DAUGHTER AND I LEFT SALT LAKE CITY TO DRIVE HOME TO LAS VEGAS. AT 8 AM, EVERYTHING WAS FINE, NO NOISE FROM THE VEHICLE NO CLANKING, NO SMELL. I COULD DO U TURNS AND SHARP TURNS TO PARK THE VEHICLE BEFORE STOPPING TO GET A BAGEL. WE ENTERED THE 15 SOUTH TO HEAD HOME, WE ARE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 70-80MPH. AT APPROXIMATELY 11:00AM WE ARE REACHING THE TOWN OF BEAVER, UTAH. I NEEDED TO PULL OFF THE FREEWAY TO GAS UP AND WANTED AN ESPRESSO. WE EXIT THE FREEWAY AND AS I START SLOWING I CAN TELL MY POWER STEERING HAS GONE OUT, I ALMOST HIT ON COMING TRAFFIC WHILE TURNING TO THE RIGHT WHEN COMING OFF THE EXIT BECAUSE IT WAS SO EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO STEER. THE OTHER DRIVER HAD TO SWERVE IN TO THE DIRT AREA TO AVOID HITTING MY DAUGHTER AND I, FOLLOWED US TO THE GAS STATION AND YELLED AT ME UNTIL HE REALIZED SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH MY STEERING.. WE HAD TO PAY TO HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO ST GEORGE UTAH TO RONS SHELL MECHANIC STATION. RON THOUGHT MAYBE IT WAS A BAD PUMP OR RACK (EVEN THOUGH THERE WERE NO SIGNS OF IT GOING BAD). WE PAID OVER 2 GRAND TRYING TO GET IT FIXED AND THERE ARE INTERMITTENT POWER STEERING ISSUES, FINALLY RON GAVE UP AND SAID THATS THE BEST HE CAN DO. AFTER INVESTIGATING I SEE MANY OTHER PEOPLE ARE HAVING POWER STEERING FAILURE WITH 2010 GMC BUICK ENCLAVES. GMC NEEDS TO TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY. MY DAUGHTER AND I WERE ALMOST HIT HEAD ON! BECAUSE OF INSTANT POWER STEERING FAILURE WITH NO WARNING WHAT SO EVER!! THIS NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED ASAP!!

I am filing this safety complaint regarding a sudden and dangerous engine failure in a 2010 Buick Enclave CXL purchased from Frankfort Car Outlet on 8/25/2025. On 10/25/2025, while driving on the expressway, the engine suddenly began knocking, lost power, and stalled. This created a serious safety risk to myself and other drivers. The failure occurred only 60 days after purchase and approximately 2,000 miles later, suggesting a pre-existing internal defect that the dealership did not disclose. The dealership has refused to inspect the vehicle, acknowledge the safety risk, or assist in any way. This type of sudden engine failure could pose a serious hazard if similar vehicles have the same issue, and I believe NHTSA should be aware of the potential risk.

The engine was built with the same components as the 2008/2009 models and they have been recalled, the oil drains out of the engine rapidly and causes engine to seize and had to be replaced.

Car was running just fine had its oil changed new tires added and it just stopped running. Got it checked with a car technician and he stated it’s the engine.

I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE WHEN IT SUDDENLY STALLED AND WOULD NOT START, I HAD IT TOWED TO A MECHANIC AND WAS ADVISED IT NEEDED AN ENGINE, THIS WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THE 2008, 2009, 2010 BUICK ENCLAVES, BECAUSE OF THE OIL PUMP DRAINING THE ENGINE OF OIL IT SEIZED THE ENGINE. I CALLED GM AND ASKED WHY THEY HAVEN'T RECALLED THE 2010 ALONG WITH 2008, AND 2009 MODELS WITH THE SAME ENGINE AND ISSUE. THEY SAID ITS BEEN ACKNOWLEDGED BUT THERE IS NO FUTURE DATE IF OR WHEN THE 2010 BUICK ENCLAVE WOULD BE RECALLED FOR THE ENGINE- OIL FAILURE! THIS COST OVER $4800 DOLLARS TO GET FIXED, I JUST PURCHASED THE CAR FROM A DEALERSHIP LESS THAN A YEAR PRIOR, VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH DEALER FOR NOT MAKING ME AWARE TO CHECK OIL EVERY FEW DAYS SO THIS WOULDN'T HAPPEN. I ALSO JUST HAD THE OIL CHANGE DONE A MONTH BEFORE THE ENGINE SEIZED!

The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where it was diagnosed again that the timing chain had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the issue would be escalated. The failure mileage was approximately 78,000.

ENGINE LIGHT IS COMING ON DUE TO ISSUE WITH TIMING CHAIN. MY MECHANIC SAID GM ISSUED A SERVICE BULLETIN AND GM OFFERED EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE TO FIX THE PROBLEM FOR MODEL YEAR 2009 BUT NOT 2010 (WHICH IS MY MODEL YEAR). IT WAS A KNOWN PROBLEM AND GM REFUSES TO COVER THE REPAIR OF THE TIMING CHAIN REPLACEMENT.

VEHICLE LOSSES POWER, ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, CODES P0008, P0017, P0009- TOOK IT TO SHOP AND THEY SAID THE OIL WAS 3 QTS LOW. I JUST HAD IT CHANGED WITHIN 60 DAYS. THEY CHANGED THE OILS AND CLEARED THE CODES WHICH WERE SHOWING. I ALSO HAD TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGES AND A NEW FRONT LEFT TRANSAXLE INSTALLED. WIFE DRIVE THE VEHICLE HOME, WHICH IS WITHIN 3 MILES OF SHOP. ENGINE CAME BACK ON WITH THE SAME THREE CODES GIVEN ABOVE. CALEED BACK TO SHOP NEXT DAY, THEY SAID ENGINE WOULD HAVE TO BE PULLED AND THE CHART SAID ABOUT A 21 HOURS JOB (THEY CHARGE $68/HR). AND SAID IT WOULD BE ABOUT $2500 TO FIX. I SEE MANY POSTS ONLINE WITH THIS VEHICLE CONCERNING THIS SAME ISSUE. THERE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SOME TYPE OF RECALL ON THE TIMING CHAINS/BELTS IN THESE CARS AND LIKE MODELS.

THEY HAD SOME KIND OF INCENTIVE MONEY AVAILABLE.FAST FORWARD TO APRIL 2019 @ 95,000 MIKES, CAR IS LOSING POWER AGAIN ON HIGHWAY ESPECIALLY WHEN MERGING, MUST FLOOR GAS PEDAL TO GET CAR TO GO, ENGINE LIGHT ON INTERMITTENTLY AT FIRST, BUT NOW ON PERMANENTLY, TIMING CHAIN CODE (P0008) COMES UP & DEALER SAYS IT WILL BE AN ESTIMATED COST OF $2500 TO REPAIR, MUST PULL ENGINE AGAIN. TIMING CHAIN REPAIR FROM 2017 ONLY UNDER WARRANTY FOR 1 YEAR OR 12,000. I WENT 2 YEARS & 20,000 SINCE REPAIR. DEALER ONLY WILLING TO DISCOUNT REPAIR NEEDED NOW @ 25%. WHILE DRIVING IN SINGLE DIGIT TEMPS IN ICY ROAD CONDITIONS IN TRAFFIC USING THE BRAKES A LOT MY TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT CAME IN AND I GOT A SERVICE YOUR TRACTION CONTROL SYSTEM AND ENGINE POWER WAS REDUCED CAUSING ME TO NOT HAVE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC AND DANGEROUS ROAD CONDITIONS. TRACTION CONTROL WILL NOT COME BACK ON AFTER THE VEHICLE HAS BEEN TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED. ROAD CONDITIONS WERE SO BAD TRAFFIC WAS MOVING 5-10MPH ON HIGHWAY. THE REDUCED ENGINE POWER HAPPENED AS SOON AS I STARTED TURNING RIGHT ON ANOTHER ROAD DUE TO HOW SLICK THE HIGHWAY WAS.

SHE REACHED UP AND PUSHED IT UP SO SHE COULD GET OUT FROM UNDER IT AND IT STARTED TO GO UP AGAIN AND THEN STARTED CLOSING AGAIN. IT KEPT DINGING AS IT OPENED AND CLOSED. SHE TRIED TO OPEN IT AFTER IT WAS CLOSED FOR A MINUTE AND IT OPENED AND THEN SLAMMED SHUT HARD BEFORE IT OPENED ALL THE WAY.

HELLO, WE HAVE JUST PURCHASED A USED 2010 ENCLAVE BUICK ABOUT THREE MONTHS AGO AND HAVE JUST HIT THE 80,000 MILE MARK AND MY ENGINE LIGHT TURNED ON AND THE DIAGNOSIS FOR THIS VEHICLE IS P0008. ON LINE THEY SHOW THE PREVIOUS MODELS TO MINE WHERE ALL RECALLED FOR THIS CODE ISSUE. MY CONCERN IS WAS THIS ISSUE FIXED FOR THESE NEWER MODELS OR IS THIS SOMETHING THAT WILL BE RECALLED IN THE FUTURE JUST LIKE THE OLDER MODELS DID. THERE ARE OTHERS CONCERNED WITH THIS SAME ISSUE SO I'M AWARE THAT WE ARE NOT THE ONLY ONES. Additionally, there was a burning odor inside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who discovered water and mold under the carpet and electrical components submerged in the water. The cause of the failure was not yet determined, and the vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer and local dealer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 144,000.

WATER IS GETTING TO THE ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS OF THE AMPLIFIERS (BOSE SYSTEM) AND SHORTING THEM OUT. THAT MEANS THERE IS NO SOUND WHAT SO EVER INSIDE THE VEHICLE. NO BLINKERS, HAZARDS, RADIO OR IF THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON YOU WON'T HEAR IT, ONLY A VISIBLE ICON. THIS IS AN ISSUE NOT ONLY IN THE ENCLAVE, BUT THE ACADIA AS WELL AS THE SATURN OUTLOOK. THIS SHOULD HAVE BEEN A RECALL A LONG TIME AGO. I REFUSE TO PAY FOR THIS WHEN IT'S AN ISSUE ACROSS THE BOARD.

WHAT WAS HAPPENING WAS THE CAR WOULD JUST START DOWNSHIFTING BY ITSELF, SPEED WAS DRASTICALLY REDUCED. IT DIDN'T MATTER HOW FAST OR SLOW I WAS GOING BUT IT DID HAPPEN ON THE EXPRESSWAY AND I WENT FROM 65MPH TO 40 MPH IN A MATTER OF SECONDS. HAD BEEN HAPPENING FOR A YEAR AND HAS BEEN TO THE DEALER 5 TIMES, THIS LAST TIME THEY HAD IT FOR 7 WEEKS AND REQUIRED GM TECH CENTER SUPPORT TO FINALLY GET IT FIXED. THIS WAS NOT ONLY A SAFETY ISSUE BUT ALSO A FIRE HAZARD. FOLLOWING IS THE FIX: NEC TO CHECK OTHER DATA CIRCUITS THAT MIGHT BACK FEED INTO HIGH SPEED CIRCUIT. FOUND CIRCUIT #6060 BACK FEEDING IN TO CIRCUIT 2500 CAUSING ITERMITTENT COMMUNICATION LOSS. FOUND CIRCUIT OVERLOAD AT CONTACT POINT G110. WAS SERVING AS A CONTACT POINT FOR NINE CIRCUITS AND OVERHEATING, CAUSING HIGH RESISTANCE AND LOSS OF DATA COMMUNICATION AT TIMES. NECESSARY TO SEPARATE INTO 2 CONTACT POINTS TO REDUCE LOAD AND PREVENT OVERHEATING AND HIGH RESISTANCE THAT WAS CAUSING DATA CIRCUIT BACKFEEDING AND DATA LOSS. THEY SHOWED ME THE CIRCUIT WITH THE 9 WIRES THAT THEY REMOVED AND IT WAS ALL MELTED AND BURNT. NOT ONLY DID THE DRASTIC AND SUDDEN REDUCTION OF POWER CREATE A VERY UNSAFE SITUATION THE OVERHEATING OF THE CIRCUIT, BURNING AND MELTING OF WIRES CREATED A HUGE FIRE POTENTIAL.

I WAS TOLD THE RACK AND PINION AND POWER STEERING PUMP WERE REPLACED BUT IT IS STILL CAUSING ISSUES. LOUD NOISES OCCUR WHEN DRIVING AND WHEN TURNING IT MAKES A LOUD NOISE AND MY TRACKING LIGHT POPS ON AND OFF.

CAR HAD REDUCED SPEED AND WHITE SMOKE 11/15 41,000 MILES TOWED TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY REPLACED NUMBER 5 INJECTOR CAR. 2/4/17 CAR HAS 49,584 MILES AND HAD TO HE TOWED AGAIN TO DEALERSHIP SAME ISSUE REDUCED SPEED WHITE SMOKE, WAS TOLD ALL 6 INJECTORS NEED TO BE REPLACED, WATER PUMP, TIMING COVER, STEERING GEAR AND TIMING BELT. THIS CAR HAS TOO MANY ISSUES TO HAVE SUCH FEW MILES. I DID CALL SEVERAL OTHER GARAGES TO SEE IF THEY COULD GIVE ESTIMATE AS I DON'T TRUST DEALERSHIP, THEY WILL NOT WORK ON THE ENCLAVE MOTORS. MILEAGE 85,717: DRIVING ON INTERSTATE AT 70 MPH VEHICLE LOST POWER, WAS LUCKILY ABLE TO PULL OFF AND RESTART TO MAKE IT HOME. NEXT MORNING VEHICLE WOULD START, BUT IMMEDIATELY SHUT OFF. TOWED VEHICLE TO LOCAL MECHANIC WHO STATED IT WAS STRETCHED TIMING CHAIN, COMMON OCCURRENCE IN ENCLAVE, ACADIA, AND TRANSVERSE. REPORTED ISSUE TO GM WHO REFERRED ME TO CERTIFIED GM DEALER, VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THAT LOCATION AT MY EXPENSE, SAT THERE FOR A WEEK BEFORE I RECEIVED ANY INFO WHICH WAS STRETCHED TIMING CHAIN, ALREADY KNOWN INFORMATION. I CALLED GM BACK WHO STATED THEY MY CASE HAD ALREADY BEEN CLOSED OUT FOR POWER LIFT GATES AND THERE WAS NO DOCUMENTATION FOR THE STRETCHED TIMING CHAIN, AFTER 1 HOUR AND 25 MINUTES ON THE PHONE I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS NO ASSISTANCE FOR THE TIMING CHAIN THAT I WOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE $2000 REPAIR BILL ALONG WITH $105 FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC TEST. 1. WHILE DRIVING, VEHICLE ENTERED "REDUCED POWER MODE" MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO MAINTAIN SPEED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS DRIVER LOSES ABILITY TO MAINTAIN SPEED WHILE TRAVELING WITH FLOW OF TRAFFIC AND WITH REDUCED ENGINE POWER, EVEN THE ABILITY TO PULL OUT OF THE LANE OF TRAVEL IS IMPAIRED. DEALER IDENTIFIED BAD THROTTLE BODY AS CAUSE AND REPLACED. 2. POWER STEERING PUMP FAILURE. ISSUE WAS IDENTIFIED DUE TO WHINING NOISE PRIOR TO COMPLETE FAILURE. THE STEERING BASICALLY LOCKED UP, I HAD GREAT DIFFICULTY GETTING THE VEHICLE OFF ON AN EXIT, SO THAT I COULD CALL FOR HELP. I HAD TO BE TOWED TO A DEALER. I WAS TOLD THAT THE THERE HAD BEEN A LEAK IN THE RACK AND PINION ASSEMBLY LEADING TO PUMP FAILURE AND GEAR DAMAGE, THEIR ESTIMATE TO FIX: $1800. I HAD TO PUSH IT BACKWARDS TO GET OUT OF AN INTERSECTION. I HAD JUST STARTED A RIGHT TURN. 22 MONTH EARLIER THE TIMING CHAIN STRETCHED ON THE VEHICLE COSTING $2000 IN REPAIRS. OIL WAS CHANGED EVERY 5000 OR LESS MILES AND USED MOBILE 1 SYNTHETIC OIL THE ENTIRE TIME. THIS AND OWNERS OF EARLIER MODEL YEARS REPORT THIS SAME PROBLEM FROM THIS VEHICLE. WITHOUT ANY WARNING SIGNALS OUR TIMING CHAIN STRETCHED AND SLIPPED ON OUR 2010 BUICK ENCLAVE. IT CAUSED SIGNIFICANT DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE. THE ENGINE COMPLETELY DIED WHILE IN MOTION, STOPPING THE VEHICLE FROM MOVEMENT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I WAS LUCKILY ON A COUNTRY DIRT ROAD WITHOUT MUCH TRAFFIC, OTHERWISE THIS COULD HAVE GONE VERY BAD ON THE HIGHWAY OR INTERSTATE. TWICE WITHIN THE PAST MONTH WHEN DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE WHILE USING CRUISE CONTROL MY VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY STARTED ACCELERATING UNCONTROLLABLY. DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL DID NOT DISENGAGE THE CRUISE CONTROL OR STOP THE CAR FROM TRYING TO ACCELERATE. IN BOTH CASES I HAD THE WHEREWITHAL NOT TO PANIC, CONTROL THE VEHICLE TO THE SHOULDER, PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND TURN THE ENGINE OFF. AFTER RESTARTING THE CAR THE ENGINE IMMEDIATELY CONTINUED TO ACCELERATE AND THROTTLE UP TO 4000 RPMS WHILE STILL IN PARK. FORTUNATELY, BOTH INSTANCES OCCURRED ON STRAIGHT STRETCHES OF INTERSTATE DURING LESS THAN CROWDED HOURS. I SHUTTER TO THINK IF THIS OCCURRED WHILE MY KIDS WERE DRIVING. I WAS IN THE PASSING LANE ON A FOUR LANE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY DRIVING OVER AN OVERPASS NEAR ROCKPORT, MO. MY SPEED/CRUISE CONTROL WAS SET ON 70 MPH.THERE WERE ONE OR MORE CARS AHEAD OF ME IN THE PASSING LANE AND I WAS PASSING A SEMI-TRUCK IN THE RIGHT LANE. MY VEHICLE STARTED TO SPEED UP, WITHOUT ANY INPUT FROM ME. I TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES UNSUCCESSFULLY TO BRAKE AND COULD NOT SLOW THE VEHICLE DOWN. I CHANGED LANES IN ORDER TO NOT HIT THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME WHICH WE WERE ALMOST UPON. IN DOING SO, THE SEMI-TRUCK CLIPPED THE CORNER OF THE VEHICLE. I WAS SPUN ON TO THE SHOULDER AND THEN ROLLED SEVERAL TIMES DOWN THE 65 FOOT EMBANKMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS TOTALED. THE PASSENGER SUSTAINED BRUISING AND LOSS OF CONSCIOUSNESS. HE HAD TO BE EXTRICATED FROM THE VEHICLE AND WAS TAKEN BY AMBULANCE TO A NEARBY HOSPITAL AND THEN SUBSEQUENTLY AIRLIFTED TO ANOTHER HOSPITAL. I SUSTAINED A COMPOUND FRACTURE IN MY CLAVICLE, 5 BROKEN RIBS AND A CRACKED PELVIS. I WAS HOSPITALIZED FOR THREE DAYS.

PURCHASED 2010 BUICK ENCLAVE JUNE 26, 2010. THIS VEHICLE IS EQUIPPED WITH MICHELIN LATITUDE TOUR TIRES WHICH RUN $270 + PER TIRE. AT 9700 MILES A REAR TIRE WENT FLAT DUE TO A PUNCTURE IN THE OUTSIDE RIM. AT 9980 MILES THE OTHER REAR TIRE WENT FLAT (JAN 5 2011). HAD TO PUT THE 100 MILE SPARE TIRE ON 2ND FLAT BECAUSE THESE TIRES WERE OUT OF STOCK IN SE MICHIGAN AND EXPECTED DELIVERY DATE WAS 1/21/2011. WENT TO DEALER (SELLERS IN FARMINGTON HILLS) AND THEY LOCATED 1 TIRE AND REPLACED IT ON 1/6 WITH ANOTHER MICHELIN/ ORIGINAL TIRES. NEVER HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME BEFORE AND DIDN'T HIT ANY POT HOLES ETC. SINCE I HAD PURCHASED AN INSURANCE POLICY ON TIRES AND RIMS THESE WERE REPLACED FREE OF CHARGE. HOWEVER, ON THE 2ND INCIDENT I BELIEVE BECAUSE OF THE TIMING BEING SO CLOSE TO THE FIRST TIRE ISSUE, SELLERS HAD TO PUT SOMETHING IN THE DESCRIPTION TO GET THE INSURANCE TO COVER THE TIRE. ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND TOOK INTO DEALERSHIP FOR A DIAGNOSIS OF ISSUE. WAS TOLD THAT THE TIMING CHAIN HAD STRETCHED AND NEEDED REPLACED WITH A COST ESTIMATE OF $3000. THIS IS THE 2ND TIME THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED, THE FIRST BEING AT 48K MILES, AND NOW AT 95K MILES. WHEN THE REPAIR WAS BEING MADE, WAS TOLD THAT THE CRANK SHAFT WAS WARPED AND HAD FRAYED THE ENGINE INTERNALLY - CAUSED BY THE BAD TIMING CHAIN AND I NOW NEEDED A NEW ENGINE. CONTACTED BUICK, BUT THEY WOULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. BUICK HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS ISSUE FOR YEARS, AND YET REFUSES TO BACK THEIR PRODUCT OR HELP THEIR CUSTOMERS. ONCE THE ENGINE WAS REPLACED, I NOW HAVE A LOUD POWER STEERING 'WHINE' AND WAS TOLD THAT THE POWER STEERING PUMP NEEDS REPLACED - ANOTHER KNOWN ISSUE BY BUICK. JUST INCREDIBLE.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE POWER STEERING PUMP NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 59,000.

The engine and fuel pump system failed while driving the vehicle. It is available upon request to inspect. I just towed it to the shop today on 10/22/25 to get a full inspection. My sister and I were put at risk while driving towards a hill in San Francisco. It was on a busy main road when suddenly the vehicle began to jerk and thud back and forth. While I pushed the gas pedal, I began to question why the vehicle was suddenly reacting this way. In efforts to pull over to the side, a huge smoke fog began to come out of the exhaust pipe. As I tried to reach the curb the car didn’t want to move any further as I pushed on the gas. I put it in park and called the tow truck (receipts below) while there were cars passing me by almost causing an accident. I have looked online to see if there was a problem or recall with this vehicle having the same issue I was having. Come to find out there was a recall issued for certain vehicles only, with the same issue as my vehicle. The vehicle was taken into a local auto shop, where they diagnosed it and inspected it. The reports show it has the same exact issues with the car as those that were recalled. No there were not any warning signs nor failure signals. Due to this reason, I was completely caught off guard.

I purchased a 2010 Buick Enclave from a dealer who did not disclose any major issues with the vehicle. After purchase, I began experiencing significant problems while driving, including difficulty shifting, loss of power, and unstable handling. Concerned for my safety, I took the Buick to a mechanic for inspection. The mechanic verified that: •The wrong transmission had been installed in the vehicle, causing unsafe shifting and performance issues. •The driveshaft was malfunctioning, which affects the stability and control of the SUV. •No warning or check engine lights were on •CV axel bolts were zip tied closed Because of these defects, the mechanic told me the vehicle is not safe to drive. These problems were never disclosed to me at the time of sale, and I would not have purchased the vehicle had I known.

Purchased new, dealer twice during warranty kept vehicle for 6 weeks to do recall notice repairs. Now this 2010 has 42,000 miles and the steering is going bad. SB10056459-3388 describes the exact problem. During these two periods that recall repairs were done that should have addressed the problem even though the problem had not surfaced yet. This was a wear condition i was never informed of. It is getting worse now.

The contact owns a 2010 Buick Enclave. The contact stated that after entering the vehicle, there was a knocking noise coming from the vehicle prior to starting the engine. After starting the vehicle, the noise became louder. While operating the vehicle, the check engine warning light remained illuminated and a humming noise was present. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who indicated that the transmission gear was faulty. The vehicle was serviced however, the failure persisted. No further information was available. In addition, after refueling the vehicle would not immediately startup. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer and manufacturer were not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 120,000.

I have 2 of these booster seats and both of them the back is no longer locking into the base. It folds as the child is getting into the Seat. It doesn't stay in place even if the child has their car seatbelt on making it dangerous while riding in it as it may fold. I have not had it inspected. I am just wanting to know what you can do to help me. Also, thus won't let me put the correct Manufacturer date of 09/21/2019 in.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE GOING ABOUT 70MPH. ALL OF A SUDDEN THE LIGHT ON MY CONSOLE SAID TRACTION CONTROL OFF, SERVICE STABILITRACK. MY GAS WOULD NOT WORK, THE POWER STEERING OFF AND ALL THE POWER WAS GOING. I BARELY MADE IT TO THE SHOULDER. IT WAS VERY SCARY ALSO HAVE MY TWO CHILDREN IN THE CAR. I LOOKED UP THE PROBLEM IN MY BOOK AND IT SAID TO TURN OFF AND WAIT 15 SECONDS THEN TURN ON. THAT DID NOT WORK. I SAT THERE FOR ABOUT 30 MINUTES. I LOOKED UNDER THE HOOD, UNDERNEATH THE CAR TO SEE IF ANYTHING WAS LEAKING. NOTHING. FINALLY IT WOULD TURN OVER AND START. THE POWER STEERING ON MY 2010 BUICK ENCLAVE STOPPED WORKING SLOWLY. I WAS ALMOST UNABLE TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AT ALL. NOT ONLY WAS THE POWER STEERING A PROBLEM, BUT THE "SERVICE AIRBAG" LIGHT HAD BEEN ON FOR A COUPLE OF MONTHS. I TOOK THE CAR TO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP'S SERVICE DEPT & TOLD THE SERVICE REP THAT MY POWER STEERING WAS NOT WORKING. I ALSO ASKED THE AIRBAG RECALL BE DONE ON MY CAR. THE SERVICE REP ADVISED ME THERE WERE 2 RECALLS REQUIRED, BUT THE SECOND IF THE 2 REQUIRED SHE ORDER PARTS. I LEFT THE CAR, A DIAGNOSTIC WAS DONE ($119.50) & I WAS TOLD THE POWER STEERING PUMP & STEERING RACK WOULD COST APPROXIMATELY $2,000. I HAD THE CAR TOWED TO A REPAIR SHOP I HAVE USED FOR YEARS AND WHO I TRUST. THIS REPAIR SHOP REPLACED THE POWER STEERING PUMP, CLEANED METAL OUT OF THE SYSTEM & FILLED THE SYSTEM IN POWER STEERING FLUID ($724.00). I PICKED THE CAR UP & IT SEEMED OK. WITHIN A COUPLE OF DAYS, THE POWER STEERING FAILED AGAIN. THIS TIME THE CAR HAD DUMPED POWER STEERING FLUID. I HAD THE CAR TOWED BACK TO THE SAME REPAIR SHOP. THEY REPAIRED THE BURST LINE & I PICKED UP THE CAR, WHICH DROVE AS IT HAD BEFORE THE PROBLEMS BEGAN. I PARKED MY CAR IN MY DRIVEWAY WITH THE FRONT OF THE CAR BELOW THE REAR OF THE CAR ON A DOWNWARD INCLINE. THE NEXT MORNING, THE CAR WOULD NOT START. I CALLED AAA AND PAID $90 TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED AGAIN. THE CAR WAS TOWED ON A FLATBED AND WHEN IT ARRIVED AT THE SHOP, IT STARTED IMMEDIATELY. I TOLD THE REPAIR SHOP REP TO PARK THE CAR AS I HAD, ON AN INCLINE WITH THE FRONT LOWERED, OVERNIGHT. HE DID & IT WOULD NOT START THE NEXT MORNING. HE TOLD ME HE ROLLED THE CAR OFF OF THE INCLINE & IT STARTED PROMPTLY. HE SUGGESTED I TAKE THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER FOR THE 2ND RECALL. I PICKED THE CAR UP AND DROVE IT FOR 2 DAYS. REAR BRAKES OVER HEATED. AN INSPECTION REVEALED THAT THE BRAKE PADS WERE FROZEN DUE TO RUST AND WORN AT AN ANGLE AND NOT EVEN CAUSING METAL TO METAL CONTACT. REAR PADS AND ROTORS HAD TO BE REPLACED AT A COST OF $ 347.62. IF THIS HAD BEEN CAUGHT DURING NORMAL INSPECTION INTERVALS I DON'T BELIEVE THE ROTORS WOULD HAVE HAD TO BE REPLACED.PERHAPS INSPECTION AND CLEANING OF BRAKE PADS SHOULD BE CHECKED AT CERTAIN INTERVALS IN THE NORTHERN AREAS WHERE SNOW AND ICE ARE A PROBLEM. THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE OR SHIFT, I COULD NOT INCREASE SPEED TO MERGE INTO HIGHWAY TRAFFIC, AS I TRIED TO MERGE THE VEHICLE SLOWLY INCREASED SPEED, NOT NORMALLY ACCELERATING. I EVENTUALLY WAS ABLE TO GET TO 55 MPH. THE NEXT TIME I DROVE THE CAR IT ACTED FINE. TWO DAYS LATER WHILE DRIVING AT 60 MPH ON THE INTERSTATE WITHOUT WARNING THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, TRACTION STABILITY SERVICE WARNING LIGHT, THE ABS BRAKE WARNING LIGHT ALL CAME ON THE BRAKES FELT LIKE MUSH, THE CAR SLOWED IN TRAFFIC, ALL WHILE IN THE PASSING LANE WITH TRAFFIC BEHIND ME. THIS CREATED AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS CONDITION THAT COULD HAVE EASILY RESULTED IN SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2010 BUICK ENCLAVE. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS STOPPED, THE CONTACT ROLLED THE REAR DRIVER SIDE WINDOW DOWN WHICH SUCKED HER CHILD'S FINGERS DOWN INTO THE WINDOW SEAL. SHE HAD TO ROLL THE WINDOW BACK UP TO GET HIS FINGERS OUT. THE FINGERS SUFFERED MINOR BRUISES. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN INSPECTED OR REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 2,500 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 9,725.

BUICK ENCLAVE WILL ROLL BACK WHEN ON A HILL. WHEN I HAVE THE BRAKES ON WHILE ON AN INCLINE AND ATTEMPT TO RELEASE THE BRAKE TO HIT THE GAS PEDAL AND ADVANCE FORWARD, THE CAR DOES NOT STOP. THE VEHICLE WILL CONTINUE TO ROLL BACK WHEN ON AN INCLINE (WHETHER SLIGHT OR DRASTIC OF AN INCLINE) IF THE BRAKES ARE NOT APPLIED. THIS HAS CAUSED A THREAT TO MY LIFE AND OTHERS SEVERAL TIMES. WHEN I AM STOPPED ON AN INCLINE, I HAVE TO "PUNCH THE GAS" IN ORDER TO AVOID HITTING THE CAR BEHIND ME. THIS TYPE OF APPLIED ADVANCEMENT HAS CAUSED THE WHEELS TO TURN OUT OR "BURN RUBBER". I HAVE BROUGHT THIS TO THE DEALER'S MAINTENANCE DEPARTMENT ATTENTION. HOWEVER, THE ISSUE WAS SHRUGGED OFF. ALSO, I HAVE HAD OTHER DRIVER'S TEST THE VEHICLE AND THE SAME CONCLUSION WAS DRAWN---DRIVER'S FEEL UNSAFE IN THE VEHICLE. I HAVE GONE UP AND DOWN THIS SAME HILL WITH VARIOUS CARS AND HAVE NEVER FELT THIS INSECURITY WITH OTHER CARS. I AM TAKING MY CAR IN FOR A SECOND CONSULTATION WITH THE DEALERSHIP. *TR
