I am not sure if I have the correct form. I puchased a 2014 Buick Enclave from Group 1 Toyota 20465 Southwest Fwy, Richmond, TX 77469. The dealership sold me this vehicle without addressing the safety recall. They claim it is not their responsibility.

I was notified of the recall May 10,2023 Manufacturer Recall NumberN232404980 NHTSA Recall Number23V334 by mail. I called my Buick dealer and was told they had the part. I set up an appointment and took my car in for the repair, and was told they made a mistake and didn't have the part after all and that they would let me know when they got it in. I got the notice air bag recall and gmc said it's passenger front seat side . They said it's discontinued and Wana use another 1 and charge me 500.00 plus labor. I just paid 398.00 for them to tell me this don't think that's fair what can I do if it's a recall I paid for nothing

I was involved in an accident that myself and my passenger were injured in due to our airbags not deploying and because of this we both hit our heads. I hit the steering wheel they hit the dashboard and side windows.

The contact owns a 2014 Buick Enclave. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked and occupied, while attempting to start the vehicle, the contact became aware that the air bag warning light was illuminated more than five times. A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that that GM Part Number: 13576628 (Module 16.712) needed to be replaced, and the contact was provided and estimate for the repair. The air bag inflator was replaced, and the vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The contact stated that the failure had occurred several times. The failure mileage was unknown.

At 85,000mi my transmission failed while driving on the highway. The dealership kept the transmission so it can not be inspected. This was extremely dangerous with my whole family in the car too. No lights illuminated on the dash board just rpm flew up with the vehicle not moving. There were no indications that anything was going to fail. No stored or active codes were detected in the vehicle. The issue I was told was the problem was #16-NA-013 No Reverse, No Third. This issue is supposed to only be on 2016 vehicles and mine was the first. The dealership stapled this #16-NA-013 document to my invoice. The only fix was an entirely new transmission for $7500.

GM has known about the issues with their transmission in the 2014 -2017 Buick Enclave models. They were found under NHTSA Technical Service Bulletin: 18-NA-358 dated October 2020. I have reported this problem to GM, with the information that they requested. The issue here is that the manufacturer currently has a class-action lawsuit filed against it and will have another if they refuse to acknowledge the failures of their transmission in this vehicle. The following expert from the TSB states the following: Some customers may comment that the vehicle may have a severe launch shudder in 1st gear from a stop, or while driving along when in 4th gear, or during the 2-3 upshift or 3-2 downshift. Some customers may also comment on one or more of the following conditions: • Flare • Slide/bump • Slip • Harshshift The problem here is that with the advanced knowledge they had, they knowingly and willingly refused to issue a recall on these vehicles, which has severe outcomes for owners. My wife, who was driving the Enclave was nearly rear-ended at highway speeds when the vehicles behind her were in proximity to her slowed vehicle. The vehicle began to shudder and again when she began driving when the traffic moved. The transmission slips from gears and I verified this myself taking a test drive if the vehicle. This could have led to serious injury or death to my wife! GM refuses to provide any relief from this issue, nor do they wish to accept any amount of responsibility. My question is this, how can GM a take any part in a recall of a major safety component as the airbag system of a vehicle, regardless of mileage, yet they are not held to account for one of the largest components of a vehicle to get out of a hazardous situation when stopped or accelerating? I am asking the NHTSA to find GM sat fault for producing inferior transmissions in the 2014-2017 Buick Enclave and provided deeply discounted pricing or free remediation as a recall for these vehicles.

THE TRANSMISSION IS SLIPPING AND FAILING TO SHIFT INTO THE NEXT GEAR ON ACCELERATION. THE PROBLEM IS INTERMITTENT AND HAS BEEN PROGRESSIVELY GETTING WORSE OVER THE LAST 7 MONTHS. NOW IT IS AT THE DEALER AND THEY WON'T COVER THE REPAIR BECAUSE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED 2 MONTHS AGO. THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED TO MY PRIOR BUICK ENCLAVE WHICH I TRADED IN (BECAUSE OF THIS PROBLEM) WHEN I PURCHASED MY CURRENT VEHICLE.

TAKATA RECALL IN THE ALMOST 3 YEARS I'VE OWNED MY 2014 BUICK ENCLAVE, THERE HAVE BEEN 2 OCCURRENCES WITH THE SAME TRANSMISSION ISSUE. THE CODES ARE: P0700, P182E AND P0306. THE ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND FLASHES FOR ROUGHLY 30 SECONDS. THE FIRST OCCURRENCE WAS IN THE CITY, ABOUT 35MPH AND THE SECOND WAS ON THE HIGHWAY WITH A SPEED OF 60MPH. BOTH TIMES I'VE PULLED OFF THE ROAD AND THE LIGHT DISAPPEARS. WHEN I TAKE IT IN, THE CODES ARE PULLED AND CLEARED. THE MECHANIC CAN NOT GET THE CODE TO REAPPEAR. MY BUICK HAS NEVER SHIFTED RIGHT, NOTICING PADDING AND JERKING BEFORE AND AFTER SWITCHING GEARS. THE MECHANIC SAID THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THESE TRANSMISSIONS AND THE REPAIR BILL WILL BE AROUND $3,500.00 FOR A NEW TRANSMISSION. A 5 YEAR OLD VEHICLE SHOULD NOT BE HAVING THESE ISSUES!! BUYING A 2 YEAR OLD VEHICLE AT $28K, OWNING IT FOR LESS THAN 3 YEARS AND HAVING TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT SIT RIGHT IN MY BOOK. GM NEEDS TO FIX THIS TRANSMISSION PROBLEM AND SOON!

I own a 2014 Buick Enclave experienced two major safety‑related failures. First, while driving on the highway, the vehicle suddenly lost throttle response and triggered a check‑engine light with code P1682 (Ignition 1 Switch Circuit 2). After replacing the ignition relay in the under‑hood fuse box, the issue seemed resolved temporarily. A few weeks later, while stopped at a traffic light, the vehicle displayed “Traction Control Off,” followed by “Engine Power Reduced,” and began shaking violently. The engine warning light turned on, and the car became undrivable in traffic, creating a dangerous situation. A mechanic later confirmed no failure in the replaced ignition relay. The root cause may be a design flaw in the fuse box and its bottom wire‑harness connection, which is known to loosen because the two internal securing screws do not get tighten at all, its freely moving and not securing anything. This potential defect has reportedly affected multiple GM vehicles from 2013–2015, posing serious safety risks and potentially leading owners to spend significant money on repairs without resolving the underlying issue. In Buick Forum, thousands of customers experiencing the same issue, spending thousands and suffering financial implications and severe safety threat just for a careless design and carelessness in addressing a small design issue!!!

SERVICE SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM ERROR DISPLAYED ON DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER AT 49,300 MILES. BOTH RIGHT AND LEFT SIDE OBJECT SENSORS ARE BAD DUE TO WATER CONTAMINATION. HAD NEAR MISS ON ROUTE 90 IN ERIE PA DUE TO BLIND SPOT DETECTION NOT WORKING. HAD TO RESCHEDULE APPOINTMENT AT BURDICK BUICK DUE TO DEATH OF FATHER WHEN VEHICLE HAD 49,800 MILES ON IT. DUE TO TRAVELLING FOR DEATHA ND FUNERAL, VEHICLE HAD 50,1020 MILES AT TIMNE OF APPOINTMENT. GM / BURDICK WILL NOT COVER REPAIRS AT 100% UNDER WARRANTY DUE TO MILEAGE BEING OVER BY 1,000 MILES.

WHILE IN MOTION VEHICLE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL COME ON WITH THE FOLLOWING MESSAGES. STABILITRACK OFF, TRACTION CONTROL OFF, ENGINE POWER REDUCED. CAR WILL NOT ACCELERATE ABOVE 40 MPH. CAR WILL SLIGHTLY SHAKE WHILE THIS HAPPENS. CAR WILL SOME TIMES ALSO SHUT OFF COMPLETELY AND NOT RESTART UNTIL CODES HAVE BEEN CLEARED. JUST BOUGHT 2014 BUICK ENCLAVE - NICE CAR, BUT DAY AFTER, REAR POWER LIFTGATE BECAME INOPERABLE WITH REMOTE, DOOR TOUCH PAD, AND CONSOLE SWITCH. HOT WEATHER 80+ DEGREES. FUSE IS GOOD. WILL NOT OPEN MANUALLY AND THERE IS NO MECHANICAL WAY OF OPENING THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE. NO WAY TO OPEN DOOR IN AN EMERGENCY. DOES NOT FUNCTION AS OUTLINED IN OWNERS MANUAL, EITHER MANUALLY OR ELECTRICALLY. OWNER'S MANUAL HAS CONTRADICTORY OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS.

I was sitting in a drivethru line and reached down to tighten my seat belt because it felt lose and the entire steel cord that attaches the seatbelt to the front outboard seating snapped in half. There is a steel cord/cable that connects the pretensioner to the seat belt. This 1 inch thick cord was unraveled and severed. This gave me great concern because this cord was likely on the verge of snapping for many weeks prior to it snapping. A steel cord doesn't just randomly snap in half - so if I had I had a crash prior to it fully breaking - I could have been injured. In addition, I had to drive my vehicle with this defect until new parts could be ordered. I drove around for roughly 2 weeks with a non-functioning seat belt because I could not afford to rent a vehicle while I was waiting for mine to be repaired. When I took it to a shop for repair, they told me they had never seen anything like it in their 30 years of repairs. I have all receipts and documentation, and I have the original faulty part. To recap, I have never been a crash in the vehicle and cord snapping in half happened when I was sitting still and not moving. There is a recall on 2009-2014 Buick Enclaves for this exact issue, but my vehicle's VIN number does not fall within the recall. Specifically, the recall is for the flexible steel cable that connects the seatbelt to the front outboard seating may fatigue and separate over time. This is exactly what happened to mine, but it was not covered and I was never notified of the issue. I don't want someone to be in a wreck with a faulty/non-working seatbelt.

VEHICLE BUCKLE LATCH IS JAMMED/MALFUNCTIONING. BUCKLE DOES NOT ACCEPT LATCH AND POSES A SEVERE ACCIDENT THREAT TO ADULTS/CHILDREN. BOTH CAPTAIN CHAIR BUCKLES ARE AFFECTED. NORMAL WEAR IS OBSERVED WITH THE VEHICLE WITH CHILD RESTRAINT CAR SEATS IN BOTH FORWARD AND REAR FACING, LONGEVITY OF BUCKLE SYSTEM WITH INFANT CAR SEATS IS JEOPARDIZED AND RENDERED INEFFECTIVE. BUCKLE MECHANISM IS POORLY MADE WITH PLASTIC BREAKING APART. METAL PRONG IS OBSERVED TO BE IN THE OUT/LOCKED POSITION AND DOES NOT DISENGAGE. PREVIOUS TO JAMMING BUCKLE WAS HARD TO ACCEPT A LATCH.

Loud engine rattling noise on startup of 3.6L v6 then check engine light came on. Carl Black GM Buick dealer replaced valve actuator solenoid, but engine still making the rattling noise on startup. Danger of timing chain and valve phasers not synchronizing causing valve interference with pistons and engine damage and failure in high speed traffic on Atlanta GA freeways and 2 lane side roads.

I HAVE A P0420 CODE ON MY 2014 BUICK ENCLAVE FOR ABOUT A YEAR NOW. ALMOST EVERYTHING RELATED TO ENGINE PERFORMANCE WAS REPLACED BECAUSE NO ONE COULD BELIEVE THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER WENT BAD - EVEN AT THE DEALERSHIP - ON A 4 YEAR OLD CAR WHERE THE AFTERMARKET CATALYTIC CONVERTER HAS A 5 YEAR WARRANTY. I SPENT OVER $2,000 SO FAR REPLACING ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER AT THE DEALERSHIP'S ADVICE BECAUSE THEY DID NOT EVEN KNOW THE REASON FOR THE FAULT. NOW I KNOW IT IS THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER BECAUSE THE EXHAUST STARTED SMELLING BAD WHENEVER THE CAR IS RUNNING. GM/BUICK SHOULD INVESTIGATE WHY ITS CATALYTIC CONVERTERS ARE FAILING AND FORK THE BILL ON FIXING IT.

MILAGE AT 45517 MANY OTHER BUICKS SAME PROBLEM OF WHICH GM PAID FOR REPAIR. MY COMPLAINT WAS DENIED AND CLOSED UNSATISFIED, HUNDRES OF COMPLAINTS ON THIS MATTER AND GM NO RECALL.

The rear powered liftgate on a 2014 Buick Enclave unexpectedly fell without warning while the vehicle was parked and the liftgate was fully open. The liftgate suddenly closed and struck the operator on the head. There were no warning lights, messages, or prior indications of a malfunction before the incident. The impact caused a concussion that required emergency medical evaluation, including a CT scan and follow-up neurological care. The incident occurred during normal use of the vehicle while loading items into the rear cargo area. The liftgate system has not been repaired and remains available for inspection. The component currently appears to operate normally, and the malfunction has not been reproduced since the incident. No prior symptoms or warnings were observed before the failure. The sudden closure of a powered liftgate presents a safety risk because it can strike occupants standing beneath it, including adults or children loading cargo. The vehicle and liftgate system have not been inspected by a dealership or manufacturer since the incident.

On a few occasions, while driving, the car will shut completely off. In these incidents, wrecks could have been caused. I almost ran in ditch one time and almost hit a stop sign because the steering wheel wouldn’t turn since the vehicle was cut off. The latest incident happened on 10-22-2023. On several occasions, while driving, the traction control light will come across the dashboard “traction control off”, immediately after the engine light will come and another alert come across the dashboard “reduced power. As you pull over or begin to stop, the car will shake really bad and another alert will come across the dash board saying “service stabilitrak.

I PULLED MY BUICK OUT OF THE GARAGE IT WAS FINE. WENT TO GO START IT AND IT WOULDNT START IT KEPT CLICKING SO I CHECKED THE BATTERY. IT HAS SO MUCH CORISION ON IT THAT IT ATE THREW THE BOLTS THAT HOLD IT TOGEATHER. MY CAR SHOWED MESSAGE WARNING " SERVICE SIDE DETECTION SYSTEM" DURING WINTER STORM IN SYRACUSE NY. THIS MESSAGE IS ON AND OFF. ALSO, DRIVER SIDE WARNING LIGHT ON DRIVER MIRROR SHOWS INACCURATE. IT IS ON WHEN THERE WERE NO CAR. ALSO IT IS OFF WHEN THERE ARE CAR ON MY LEFT SIDE. SOMETIMES THIS HAPPENS WITHOUT ANY WARNING. MY CAR IS BIG, HAS BLIND SPOT, THIS FEATURE IS VERY IMPORTANT. YESTERDAY IT WAS 90 DEGREES WHERE I LIVE. AFTER SCHOOL, I PICK UP MY KIDS 3YRS & 7YRS. AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES IN THE CAR MY 7 YEAR OLD IS COMPLAINING OF BEING HOT. I LOOK BACK AND SHE HAS SWEAT DRIPPING DOWN HER FACE. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE ESPECIALLY FOR ANYONE THAT HAS INFANTS. AFTER BEING TOLD MY AIR CONDITIONER IS FINE MULTIPLE TIMES, I DON'T EXPECT HOT AIR TO BE BLOWING OUT THE VENTS IN THE BACK WHEN MY AIR IS ON. THE FRONT WAS NOT WORKING WELL EITHER, BUT IT WAS COOLER AIR COMING OUT, NOT COLD. I ASSUMED THE BACK WAS THE SAME TEMPERATURE. IF I HAD AN INFANT THAT COULDN'T SPEAK, THEY COULD DIE FROM HEAT EXHAUSTION. THIS IS SIMILAR TO LEAVING YOUR CHILD IN THE CAR FOR A FEW MINUTES ON A HOT DAY. SOMEONE COULD DIE. I HAVE ALSO READ MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THE SAME ISSUE. PLEASE DO NOT LET A DEATH HAPPEN BEFORE RECALLING THIS ISSUE. THERE IS A HISSING SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT ALMOST EVERYDAY. THE AIR CONDITIONER WORKS SOMETIMES, BUT IT USUALLY TAKES AWHILE TO GET COLD OR DOESN'T WORK AT ALL (USUALLY ON WARMER DAYS). MY CAR HAS 60K MILES NOW. THIS PROBLEM STARTED A FEW YEARS AGO. THE CAR WAS IN MOTION IN THE CITY STREET DURING THIS INCIDENT.

Service airbag light came on one week before airbags in the front driver in front passenger side ruptured on their own in the middle of driving. This is cars the seat belts and the front seats to lock up and we now have no airbags. We did bring it in to see if we could get it at least the steering wheel one replaced because of the recall but the dealership (todd wenzel) and Grand Rapids Michigan stated that they refused to do it because they thought we were in an accident but you can clearly see we were not in an accident. The vehicle was also sold to me by a dealership that did not disclose the airbags had a recall and I did not find out until after the purchase was made.

Power cable is made in China according to the tag that's attached to the power cable.

The recall has been active on my vehicle for over a year now with no means of fixing the issue. I have contacted buick dealerships in my area and they have stated they have no ability to repair the recall and do not know when or if they will be able to. I do not know what my options are as my vehicle is still financed through my bank but I do not feel safe driving it or having my children in the car.

I have received four Recall Notices (dated June 2023, 08/21/2023, 09/19/2023, and 10/17/2023) relative to the Drivers Air Bag Inflator May Explode. I have reached out to the dealer to schedule the free recall repair to no avail. Each time they have informed me that parts are unavailable. It now has been several months since they have not contacted me for repair or resolution. Occasionally, the Service Airbag indicator light of the vehicle comes on. Meanwhile, I continue to drive this vehicle at great risk of injury and death. Request help in getting the manufacturer and dealer to expedite in fixing the problem. Thank you.

WHILE DRIVING AT NIGHT ON A BUSY CITY STREET, BOTH HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. IT SCARED ME TO DEATH. I QUICKLY SWITCHED THE LIGHTS FROM AUTO TO MANUAL AND THEY CAME BACK ON. WITHIN SECONDS, HOWEVER, THEY WENT OFF, AGAIN AND DID NOT COME BACK ON. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT HOME WITHOUT INCIDENT, BUT VERY FRIGHTENED. I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. WHEN THEY REMOVED THE BULB AND BALLAST, THEY DISCOVERED THAT THE ENTIRE HEADLIGHT APPARATUS HAD WARPED BY OVERHEATING. THIS WAS THE SAME ON BOTH HEADLIGHTS. I WAS TOLD THE COST TO REPAIR WOULD BE APPROXIMATELY $2,800 FOR PARTS, PLUS LABOR. THEY ALSO TOLD ME THAT THE VEHICLE WARRANTY DID NOT COVER THE PROBLEM. IT IS CLEAR THE PROBLEM IS A DEFECT, RATHER THAN A MATTER OF REASONABLE WEAR AND USE. I HAVE SEEN THAT OTHER IDENTICAL COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN LODGED WITH THE NHTSA. My Vehicle stalls for no reason. The engine power is redused, stabilitrack, and traction control lights come on. The vehicle stalls in the middle of traffic. The brake and steertng wheel don't work when the engine stalls. The seatbelt and airbag light comes on. I went to get that repaired and the dealer told me that the repair time period had expired.

I had to drive this ‘shaking-car’ home approximately 35 miles away, while going about 30-40 mph/in a shaking car, seems car wanted to stop. Very frightening in the dark night. b.I had a wrecker come and take the car back to dealership. I do not care to deal with dealership after this—I changed to different dealership. c.About 3 years ago, while driving on US 8 outside of Rhinelander the car just ‘simply’ went off the highway; I quickly managed to bring the car back onto the highway blacktop. Is this for real? i.Until July 2025 I worked 40 hours/week and I believed and trusted that the repair services would inform me that I needed to beware of ‘this or that’; when usual car maintenance was completed. d.In 2019, going through a ‘Traffic Circle’ in Green Bay, WI area; this vehicle just would not stop (as I need to wait for cars coming from the left) and somehow, I made it through that circle without hitting another car or damaging this car! The police officer asked, ‘What happened?’ and I told him, ‘I have no idea what happened’. The "Service Airbag - Passenger" warning light suddenly appeared on the console of my 2014 Buick Enclave. Once I arrived home, I Googled what the light indicated and I also sorted through mail I had recently received from Buick that notified me of a recall. Convinced that I needed to resolve the issue promptly, I contacted the dealership we purchased the vehicle from and they informed me to come in so they could hook the diagnostic machine to the car to determine the codes. I went into the dealership early the following morning (work order initiated at 8:21AM). I explained the situation again, and was told that they'd perform a complimentary diagnostic test to determine the issue. The service advisor listed "Safety Recall - Driver Front Airbag Inflator May Rupture" [I did notify them that the warning light indicated it was the passenger side airbag]. At 9:00 AM I received a text message "To review the inspection and approve the recommendations": CUSTOMER STATES SERVICE AIRBAG MESSAGE CHECK AND ADVISE [Other]: DIAG, NEED 1.5HR DIAG TIME TO TEST CIRCUITS RELATED TO PASSENGER AIR BAG FOR CODE B0021 PASSENGER SEAT SIDE AIR BAD DEPLOYMENT LOOP. (NEED TOI REMOVE SEAT TO TEST)$389.93 -- yes, I approved. But when questioning why there was a charge for the resolving the recall issue, I was told, "It's a different issue than the recall." Then I was told they'd need to remove the seat to get to the wires/connectors for the airbag and that cost would be $519.90 BYPASS THE AIR BAG CONNECTOR UNDER THE SEAT BY SOILDERING THE 4 PIN CONNECTOR TOGETHER. INTERBNAL FAULT IN CONNECTOR CASUING HIGH RESISTANCE. Also add $44 Shop Charge. The "free recall repair" cost us $957.46 (I did ask for the military discount since this was totally unexpected and immersed with the planned costs for the holidays). I feel like this is unfair and inappropriate to charge customers for a service that should have been covered. I would have never come into the dealership had it not been for the recall

The vehicle began shuddering and losing power during normal driving. The issue occurs at various speeds, especially between 35–60 mph, and feels as though the car is slipping or will stall. A certified service center diagnosed a failing torque converter, which is part of the transmission/power train. The repair estimate was several thousand dollars. This failure poses a safety risk because the vehicle can suddenly lose acceleration or struggle to move in traffic. The service center confirmed the defect but stated there is no recall or assistance from Buick or GM. I have contacted Buick Customer Care and GM Executive offices with no response. The Service Air Bags indicator has been on for 3 years and I have tried to get this taken care of with Buick, East Side Madison as I have indicated on another complaint form December 06 2024 NHTSA ID Number: 11629225. Now, today my daughter tried to open the door and the car's electrical system went haywire and would not let her out. I had to manually get a key to unlock the door. The electrical system is now not functioning correctly. A relative just had the same thing happen, couldn't get out of her car, the car started on fire and she couldn't get out and was burned alive. I would like the manufacture to repurchase this car as soon as possible. It is not safe and I am afraid someone is going to get killed in this car if it is not taken off the road. For the past month, I had been unable to start the vehicle unless I would turn the key without fully starting the vehicle and having to shift to each gear until I would be able to start it. It would start in any gear, but mostly in neutral. Now, on September 25, 2024, I stopped at a shopping center and I was unable to turn the vehicle on at all and it is now stuck in that parking lot. I had not been able to report it because Hurricane Helene hit (September 26, 2024) and we just got power, but phone lines and internet are not stable and cut off in the middle of calls and we have issues uploading documents. I called GM about the issue yesterday and they said because my VIN is not on the recall list that I have to pay for my car to be towed ($89 hook up fee plus $8 per mile) and I have to pay for any repairs. The airbag needs to be replaced as well because it has not been replaced due to the dealership saying they had not received the part and the appointment would be cancelled, so I quit making an appointment to have the driver's side air bag replaced.

I bought the vehicle in December 2020 from a dealership in Mason, Ohio named Borcherding Buick GMC. I asked, specifically to make sure the vehicle did not have any issues, especially transmission issues and for this to be researched, as well. I was not made aware of Bulletin No.: 18-NA-358, which affected Buick Enclave models from 2014-2017. I purchased the vehicle and sent a wire transfer for the purchase price to the dealership through my bank, USAA. We began experiencing transmission slips about a year into the ownership, and I had my mechanic look into the issue. He had just replaced the transmission on my wife’s 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan previously when it experienced a catastrophic failure and had to be replaced. This is the reason I asked to make sure the transmission on the 2014 Buick Enclave was working correctly and properly and there were no known issues. The mileage of the vehicle was under 60,000 miles at the time of purchase, so this should not have been an issue for the vehicle at all and the previous owner was, apparently, an elderly woman who had the vehicle serviced at the shop, but I cannot confirm this. The point being, there was a known issue with this vehicle that was not disclosed to me that General Motors was aware of and could have led to me not purchasing the vehicle. We needed an SUV to drive my wife and daughter(s) to and from volleyball tournaments and something that we did not have to worry about. The result is a replacement transmission paid for by me out of pocket by a GM dealership. GM refuses to acknowledge their faulty transmission. The rebuilt transmission is experiencing the same issues the old one was and GM wants me to take it in and have it “looked at”. The transmission is faulty! They know this and they refuse to reimburse my costs and refuse to acknowledge the dangers this transmission imposes to drivers and our families! Please investigate this transmission and their engineering.

There was no warning light illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer however, the failure could not be duplicated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the same assessment was made, and the contact was informed that the vehicle was operating as designed. Additionally, the contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V334000 (Air Bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The local dealer was contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000. Engine reduced, traction control, and stabilitytrak lights came on 11/3/2023. Car died on me while I was sitting in traffic. Took car to Firestone on 11/9. They stated car needed oil change and tune up. On 11/17/2023 while in the line at a drive through lights came on again and car died in drive thru. Car was towed back to Firestone. Firestone said it was pulling codes they didn't know and the car needed to go a Buick dealer. Towed car to Bob Brown Buick on 11/24/2023 Bob brown said car just needed a battery. After one hour the car lights popped on again and car died in the middle of the street. Towed car back to Bob brown another diagnosis was completed and was told I needed a catalyst converter. Towed car to Midas and paid another diagnosis. Midas fixed 3 gaskets and sensors. Car died again driving down the street going 35mph almost causing an accident. This electrical problem is very dangerous and unsafe.

Stabilitrack continues to cause problems with the car. I was traveling 60 mph and the stabilitrack and check engine light reduce engine power and car is unable to drive over 40 mph. This is a serious concern when on the highway. When this issue is tripped the car shakes and runs roughly. This car continues to have air bag relay or electrical issues even after fixing the seat belt harness which was recalled. This has been repaired by the dealership no less than 3 times and it feels as we are replacing parts which do not fix the issue. Having the car slow and limp home on a highway is dangerous and happens without warning. The dealership dismissed the airbag light and the second look says repair is needed for safety. So frustrating GM.

The Buick did a hard turn to the left, without any action of the driver, and went into an uncontrollable counterclockwise spin and hit the concrete divider. Prior to the accident the Buick was traveling in the right south bound lane of US 75 with the traffic flow. There was a light rain and no one was changing lanes or speeding. No other vehicle skidded or went out of control. The cause of the accident was not the weather or driver error. Possible causes for the accident are: faulty steering system, faulty antiskid system, or a computer glitch. The dealer would not talk to us. The Buick has not been inspected. No one will inspect it.

Within 90 days of purchasing my used 2014 Buick Enclave the alert came on telling me to have the air bag serviced. It was within the 90 warranty from the used dealership so at no cost they took it in and then let me know it was a recall issue the dealership had to address. After almost a week I got my vehicle back and “all was corrected” for a month or so. Then one day it just came back on again. It decides when it will alert me at random. But I do not see it listed as a recall because it was “repaired”. Twice now when I have been on a long road trip and have been driving for more than 5 hours my sensor for my tires will start alerting me to have my tire sensors serviced. Once the vehicle has been restarted it seems to reset itself.

I BOUGHT MY 2014 BUICK ENCLAVE AT THE END OF MAY AND HAD IT IN THE SHOP AT THE BEGINNING OF DECEMBER, AFTER PUTTING 3000 MILES ON IT, FOR POWER STEERING ISSUES, (NOISE AND VIBRATION) AND IT TURNS OUT THE NEEDED TO REPLACE THE PUMP BUT WERE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THE DESIGN, WHILE THEY WERE LOOKING AT IT THEY SAID THEY NEEDED TO ALSO REPLACE A BALL JOINT. THEN IN MID JAN. THE NOISE STARTED AGAIN, I HAD IT CHECKED AND THEY SAID IT WAS FROM THE COLD, WELL THAT BECAME UNTRUE AS IT BECAME WORSE IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS (NOISE AND VIBRATION AS I WAS TURNING) AND I BROUGHT IT IN AGAIN 3-7-2018 AND SURE ENOUGH THE SAME PROBLEM IS THERE!!
