FRONT PASSENGER DOOR LATCH HAS COME LOOSE MULTIPLE TIMES WHILE IN THE VEHICLE. IT TEMPORARILY FIXES ITSELF, THEN RANDOMLY OCCURS AGAIN. DOOR WILL NOT OPEN FROM THE INSIDE OR OUTSIDE. THIS IS DEFINITELY A HAZARD IN AN ACCIDENT. THIS ISN'T THE FIRST LUCERNE THAT I'VE DRIVEN WITH THIS PROBLEM AND IT'S QUITE COMMON. THERE IS NO SAFETY LOCK ON THE DOOR FOR THIS TO KEEP HAPPENING.

THE DOOR LOCKS DON'T OPERATE AS IT WAS DESIGNED DUE TO A BINDING LOCK ROD GROMMET PREVENTING THE LOCK ROD FROM ACTUATING THE LOCK. THIS WAS NOT DUE TO ANY ACCIDENT NOR WAS THE CAR TRAVELING TO INITIATE THIS PROBLEM.

DOOR DOES NOT OPEN USING EITHER INNER OR OUTER DOOR HANDLE. I HAVE SEEN MANY PEOPLE COMPLAIN ABOUT THIS ISSUE ON LINE. BUICK HAS HAD THIS PROBLEM ON MULTIPLE CARS FOR MULTIPLE YEARS. SAFETY ISSUE BIG TIME WHEN ONE CANNOT GET OUT OF THE CAR QUICKLY BECAUSE DOOR WON'T OPEN. THERE ARE ONLY 2 PEOPLE IN MY FAMILY AND THUS THE REAR DOORS ARE VERY SELDOM USED. DID NOT BREAK FROM OVERUSE, DESIGN PROBLEM.

REAR DOOR(S) WILL NOT OPEN FROM EITHER THE OUTSIDE HANDLE OR THE INSIDE. THIS IS DEFINITELY NOT RELATED TO THE POSITION OF THE CHILD LOCK PROTECTION ON THE DOORS. IT APPEARS SPORADICALLY AT FIRST UNTIL, FINALLY, NOTHING CAN BE DONE TO OPEN THE DOOR(S). THIS IS A EXTREME SAFETY HAZARD IF SOMEONE NEEDS TO GET OUT OF THE CAR IN A HURRY (I.E. FIRE, ACCIDENT, ETC.) The car cuts off whwn you're driving it without warning. I have had the crankshaft position sensor replaced two times and it continues to fail. There are even reports in the internet that list this as a problem with this vehicle. I am afraid that someone will hit me from the rear and cause me injury or death. I am about to have this sensor replaced for a third time. It's absolutely ridiculous that I have to keep spending money out of my pocket for the same thing over and over again. This incident is a continual problem. It doesn't matter if you're stopped or driving it just happens out of the blue with no warning.

ALUMINUM V8 ENGINE LEAKING OIL PROFUSELY. NOW GETTING SMOKE AND ODOR WHILE DRIVING. MY CONCERN IS THAT OIL IS LEAKING ON TO THE HOT EXHAUST MANIFOLD AND COULD POSSIBLY IGNITE. I SUSPECT ENGINE BOLTS NEED TO BE RETORQUED WHICH WOULD NECESSITATE ENGINE REMOVAL TO ACCOMPLISH. THIS IS A MAJOR DESIGN FLAW WHICH NEEDS CORRECTING. LEAKS OCCUR DURING ALL PHASES OF OPERATION. THIS 2006 LUCERNE ENGINE SHUTS OFF WHILE IN MOTION WITHOUT WARNING. IT HAS SHUT OFF FOUR TIMES THIS YEAR AND TWO TIMES LAST YEAR. I STARTED THE ENGINE AND THE "LOW ENGINE POWER LIGHT" CAME ON THE DASHBOARD. I PRESSED THE PEDAL DOWN AND HAD TO PRESS THE PEDAL ALL THE WAY TO THE FLOOR TO GET THE CAR TO GO 5 MPH. I HAD TO DRIVE ON THE SHOULDER OF THE ROAD AND KEEP PUMPING THE GAS PEDAL UP AND DOWN TO KEEP THE CAR GOING. AT TRAFFIC LIGHTS I HAD TO PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL AND FLOOR IT TO RACE THE ENGINE IN ORDER FOR THE CAR TO MOVE. IT IS HAZARD DRIVING ON A FREE WAY AT 5 MPH. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT TO TIRE DISCOUNTERS BECAUSE THEY WERE THE ONLY ONE OPEN ON CHRISTMAS EVE AS MARK SWEENEY GMC/BUICK WAS NOT OPEN AND NORMALLY TAKE MY CAR TO BROCHERDING GMC/BUICK. THE SERVICE PERSON AT TIRE DISCOUNTERS DISCOVERED IT WAS THE THROTTLE SWITCH WHICH WAS BAD. I ENDED UP BEING ABLE TO GET A RENTAL CAR WHILE MY CAR WS BEING REPAIRED. I PICKED UP MY CAR ON DECEMBER 29, 2014 TO FIND THAT ANOTHER PERSON HAD BROUGHT THEIR 2006 OR 07 BUICK IN FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AT TIRE DISCOUNTER. I WILL NEVER OWN ANOTHER AMERICAN MADE CAR AGAIN. THE TOTAL PRICE FOR REPAIR IS 360.00 I NOTICED THERE WAS A RECALL FOR A SIMILAR GM VEHICLE FOR THE SHIFT CABLE BREAKING AND A RECALL ISSUED IN THE CADILLAC VEHICLE. THE RECALL CLAIMED THE VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT IN OR OUT OF GEAR. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM WE EXPERIENCED WITH OUR LUCERNE. I'M THINKING THE LUCERNE SHOULD BE INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL. AT FIRST THE DOOR WOULDN'T OPEN FOR MY SON, BUT I PULLED ON THE HANDLE FROM THE OUTSIDE WHILE HE PUSHED FROM THE INSIDE, AND WE GOT IT OPEN. WHEN I TRIED TO CLOSE THE DOOR, IT BOUNCED BACK. SUDDENLY THE DRIVERS SIDE FRONT DOOR STOPPED UNLOCKING. THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN BECAUSE THE LOCKING MECHANISM CONTINUES TO LOCK AND UNLOCKING QUICKLY PREVENTING YOU FROM OPENING THE DOOR. THE DOOR WILL NOT UNLOCK MANUALLY, USING INSIDE LOCK BUTTON OR BY REMOTE. THIS HAPPENS AT ANYTIME SO YOU NEVER KNOW IF YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET OUT OF THE CAR. THIS IS CAUSING DRIVERS TO CLIMB TO THE PASSENGER SIDE FOR EXIT PREVENTING A QUICK EXIT IN AN EMERGENCY. MANY MANY COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN FILED FOR THIS SAFETY ISSUE AND NO RECALL ON THE MECHANISM THAT OPERATES THE DOORS LEAVING OWNERS WITH A HUGE EXPENSE.

THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR DOOR DOES NOT UNLOCK FROM THE INSIDE OR THE OUTSIDE. MY DAUGHTER WAS IN THE BACK SEAT AND TOLD ME SHE COULD NOT GET OUT. I GOT OUT OF THE CAR AND ATTEMPTED TO OPEN THE DOOR FROM THE OUTSIDE WITH NO SUCCESS. I TRIED THE ELECTRIC LOCK BUTTON ON THE DRIVER SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE WITHOUT SUCCESS. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION AND HAVE READ NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FROM MANY INDIVIDUALS. IT APPEARS GM HAS A FAULTY LOCKING MECHANISM.

THE CHILD SAFETY LOCKS WERE NOT ON PRIOR TO THIS HAPPENING SO IT COULDN'T HAVE HAD AN EFFECT ON WHY THIS HAPPENED AS WE WERE ABLE TO EXIT THE VEHICLE WITHOUT HAVING TO OPEN THEM FROM THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE, NOW IT WON'T OPEN AT ALL FROM EITHER SIDE. THERE ARE 3 CHILDREN ALWAYS SITTING IN THE BACK AND HAVE TO JUMP OVER THE CENTER CONSOLE FROM THE FRONT AND THIS IS ALSO A HAZARD IN CASE OF A FIRE OR ACCIDENT IF TRYING TO EXIT THE CAR.

I PURCHASED A NEW 2006 BUICK LUCERNE CXL, THE DASH BOARD DATA SHOWING THE SPEEDOMETER, ODOMETER, ETC., IS LIGHTED AT NIGHT AND INCLEMENT WEATHER. ON SUNNY DAYS THE LIGHTS GO OUT, ALL THE ITEMS MENTIONED ARE NOT VISIBLE. IT CREATES A HAZARD SINCE IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO TELL THE SPEED. MY HUSBAND GOT A SPEEDING TICKET FOR TRAVELING AT 9 MPH ABOVE THE POSTED LIMIT. THE POTENTIAL FOR AN ACCIDENT IS EXACERBATED BECAUSE READING ANY OF THE DATA WHILE DRIVING IS IMPOSSIBLE. AFTER MY 2006 BUICK LUCERNE CXS SITS FOR AWHILE, 10-12 HOURS, I GET A REALLY BAD VIBRATION OUT OF THE CAR. IT SHAKES THE ENTIRE CAR AS IF IT IS GOING TO FALL APART. AFTER 5-10 MINUTES OF DRIVING IT SMOOTHES OUT A BIT BUT DOESN'T COMPLETELY GO AWAY. MOSTLY NOTICEABLE WHEN ITS COLD OUT. THE DEALER REPLACED THE TIRES WITH THE SAME BRAND AND MODEL, BUT THE VERY NEXT DAY, I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH THE NEW TIRES. I HAVE TALKED TO THE 2 DEALERS, BUICK CUSTOMER SUPPORT, BRIDGESTONE CONSUMER LINE, A FIRESTONE CORP. CENTER, AND BUICK AGAIN, ALL THEY CAN SAY IS THE TIRES WERE MADE THAT WAY AND THERE IS NO DEFECT. VEHICLE HAD A SEVERE VIBRATION PROBLEM WHEN DELIVERED IN APRIL. A WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS PERFORMED AT 125 MILES. NOW, AT 3750 MILES THE PROBLEM RETURNED BUT MUCH MORE PRONOUNCED. AT 45 MPH IT FELT LIKE A FLAT TIRE OR A WHEEL WAS LOOSE. THE DEALER INFORMED ME THAT THE TWO FRONT TIRES WERE DEFECTIVE AND HAD TO BE REPLACED. ON MY WAY HOME I EXPERIENCED A SLIGHT VIBRATION AND NOTICED THE CAR PULLING TO THE RIGHT. I RETURNED TO THE DEALER AND THEY SWAPPED TIRES FROM RIGHT TO LEFT. The airbag lights on and there is an electrical issue also that causes the car to smoke and nearly catch fire, as soon as the battery is reconnected. Therefore rendering it non drivable. It's the same problems that are associated with the 2006 Lucern,s. When i look up the year make and model it says there should be a recall but once you put in the vin it nothing comes up.The vehicle is readily available upon request but has not been inspected by anyone else.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2006 BUICK LUCERNE. WHILE DRIVING 35 MPH, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND FLICKERED OFF AND ON. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. A FEW MONTHS LATER, THE CONTACT WAS REAR ENDED BY ANOTHER VEHICLE IN A DRIVE THRU. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS NOT FILED AND THERE WERE TWO INJURIES. THE DRIVER HAD BACK AND NECK INJURIES AND THE PASSENGER HAD NECK INJURIES. BOTH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE CONTACT WAS INJURED. THE CONTACT HAD ABDOMINAL PAIN, LEFT HIP PAIN, AND LEFT SHOULDER BRUISES, WHICH REQUIRED MEDICAL ATTENTION. THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE DRIVEN HOME AND WAS LATER DEEMED DESTROYED. My power steering went out so my mechanic checked it out and said my pump went out so I bought a new power steering pump and pulley had it put on and that didn't fix the problem. The next day I went out of town to visit family and my car caught on fire due to the power steering fluid leaked all out on the motor and got hot enough to catch on fire. then my ignition stoped going all the way in park so I would have to disconect my battery cables so that it wouldn't run my battery down. The car wouldn't go all the way up in park making the ignition key wouldn't turn back far enough to shut my car off and lights

I HAVE FILED A PRIOR CLAIM WITH YOU ON THE IGNITION CONTROL MODULE FAILURE. DEALER REPLACED THE ENTIRE MODULE - GM SUBSEQUENTLY ISSUED RECALL FOR BUICKS, ALTHO THEY ARE CLAIMING THE FAILURE HAS TO DO WITH A SLOT/HOLE IN A KEY. I HAD ONLY THE KEY AND THE LOCK FOB ON THE KEY - I DID NOT HAVE LOTS OF KEYS AND OTHER ACCESSORIES LINKED TO MY KEY, NOR DID I HIT A POTHOLE OR ANYTHING JARRING. THE CAR JUST DIED, NO BRAKES, STEERING, UNABLE TO RESTART THE CAR AND I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED. I WAS FORTUNATE THAT IT WAS AT A LOW SPEED AND NOT 65 MPH ON A HIGHWAY. THIS REPAIR COST ME $939 DOLLARS. AND I AM NOT SURE THAT THE REPLACEMENT PART ISN'T A DEFECTIVE DUPLICATE, AN INVENTORY SHELF ITEM THAT HAS THE SAME DEFECT AS THE PART REPLACED. IF GM IS CLAIMING IT'S ONLY A KEY ISSUE, THEN THE DRIVERS OF THESE LARGER VEHICLES ARE ALL AT RISK, AS WELL AS OTHER VEHICLES THAT MIGHT BE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT WITH A CAR UNABLE TO BE CONTROLLED. WHEN BRAKING DOWN HILL THE ROTORS WARP MAKING IT ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO STOP IN AN EMERGENCY. DEALERSHIP PAID FOR THE SECOND REPAIR, CAR WAS ABOUT A YEAR OLD, SAYING IT WAS A DEFECT IN THE DESIGN, LIGHTWEIGHT ROTORS, CALIPERS AND BRAKE PADS. LUCKILY I LIVE IN AN AREA THAT IS FLAT. EVERY TIME I GO OUT OF TOWN I HAVE TO DEAL WITH THIS FEAR AND A REPAIR JOB. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC SAID I NEEDED TO UPGRADE TO HEAVY DUTY ROTORS AND CALIPERS. SAID THIS TOOK CARE OF THE PROBLEM IN A CADILLAC WITH THE SAME PROBLEMS. I WAS TRAVELING EAST ON INTERSTATE 80 BETWEEN THE CA/NV BORDER AND EAST RENO. IN TWO INSTANCES I ENCOUNTERED PAVEMENT THAT WAS GROOVED (IN THE DIRECTION OF THE ROAD). I WAS INITIALLY TRAVELING AT ABOUT 65 MPH. I WAS DRIVING A NEW 2006 BUICK LUCERNE V-8 VIN IG4HE5Y76U157759 WITH BRIDGESTONE TURANZA EL 400 TIRES. WHEN I DROVE ON THE GROOVED PAVEMENT, I ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE CAR BECAUSE THE FRONT WHEELS WOBBLED SO BADLY THAT IT FORCE THE CAR TO WEAVE AND IT WAS DIFFICULT TO HOLD THE STEERING WHEEL STEADY. THIS HAPPENED IN THE AREA WEST OF RENO IN THE MOUNTAINS AND AGAIN IN AN AREA IN RENO WHERE THE PAVEMENT WAS ALSO GROOVED. SINCE ABOUT 60,000 MILES, THE CAR IT STALLS OUT. IT CAN STALL GOING 70 MPH DOWN THE INTERSTATE, STALL AT STOP SIGNS, STALL PULLING OUT OF AN INTERSECTION. LAST OCCURRENCE I WAS TRYING TO CROSS A MAJOR HIGHWAY WHEN IT STALLED. I COASTED ACROSS THE HIGHWAY AND IT RESTARTED RIGHT AWAY. I have a 2006 buick lucerne that loses power randomly as I'm driving whether its pulling outbjnto traffic, which could cause injuries possibly even death, or maintain a certain speed for any amount of time , it just randomly loses power and wont go for however long until it starts to accelerate again . Also if I'm at a red light or stopped waiting to pull out somewhere , although I have my foot on the break, my car begins to accelerate and almost pulling me out into traffic. I have a service engine light and the code reads h02s heating control circuit sensor but I've yet to have it inspected because there isn't a recall for my car on that problem even though I've heard and read many complaints with the same or similar issues

POLE TO DRIVER SIDE FRAME IMPACT WITH DRIVER SIDE FRONT WHEEL PUSHED INTO DRIVER FLOOR BOARD SO FLOOR PUSHED AGAINST BRAKE PEDAL POST COLLISION. NO AIRBAG DEPLOYED. PDOF WAS NEAR STRAIGHT AHEAD OR 12 O'CLOCK. DRIVER BELT SPOOLED OUT ALLOWING DRIVER'S HEAD TO SIGNIFICANTLY DEFORM THE UPPER STEERING WHEEL RIM. DRIVER BELT CUT A NOTCH IN THE B-PILLAR TRIM EXITING THE D-RING HOLE. GM LOOKED AT THIS CAR IN LITIGATION AND AGREED THAT THE DRIVER WAS BELTED. DRIVER SUFFERED JAW FRACTURES, RIB FRACTURES AND LUNG INJURY. DRIVER DIED OF COLLISION RELATED INJURIES 6 MONTHS POST COLLISION. GENERAL MOTORS MAY DISPUTE WHETHER THE DEATH WAS RELATED TO THE AIRBAG NON-DEPLOYMENT, BUT IT CAN NOT DISPUTE THE RELATIONSHIP OF THE JAW AND RIB FRACTURES TO THE NON-DEPLOYMENT. DRIVER WOULD HAVE BEEN PROTECTED FROM SERIOUS INJURY BE A TIMELY AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT IN THIS COLLISION ACCORDING TO BIOMECHANICS RETAINED BY THE DRIVER'S FAMILY IN LITIGATION AGAINST GENERAL MOTORS. VEHICLE IS A 2006 BUICK LUCERNE CX WITH 40,000 MILES. ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO IT STARTED TO GO DEAD WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THE FIRST OCCURRENCE WAS JAN 15, 2014 WITH MY WIFE DRIVING. THE NEXT SHUTDOWN ON MAR 4, 2014, OCCURRED IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. THERE WAS AN AUDIBLE SIGNAL ACCOMPANIED BY A "SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL" WARNING, FOLLOWED IMMEDIATELY BY A THROTTLE CONTROL WARNING AND COMPLETE ENGINE SHUTDOWN. I WAS ABLE TO COAST ACROSS 2 TRAFFIC LANES INTO A PARKING AREA WITH GREAT DIFFICULTY WHILE STEERING AND BRAKING WITHOUT POWER ASSIST. TRIED TO RESTART THE ENGINE BUT GOT ?THROTTLE DISABLED? MESSAGE. THE FIRST WAS A CHEVROLET DEALER, AND AFTER SOME DIAGNOSTIC WORK THEY SENT ME TO A BUICK DEALER DOWN THE STREET. BOTH DEALERS SAID THERE WERE NO ERROR MESSAGES AND THEY COULD NOT REPAIR. THE REAR DOOR LOCKS ON THE 2006 BUICK LUCERNE HAVE A FUNDAMENTAL DESIGN FLAW. IF THE REAR SEAT PASSENGER PULLS THE DOOR HANDLE TO OPEN THE DOOR WHILE THE DOOR IS LOCKED, AND HOLDS IT IN PLACE WHEN THE POWER LOCK MECHANISM ATTEMPTS TO UNLOCK THE DOOR, THE MECHANISM BINDS INTERNALLY MAKING THE DOOR IMPOSSIBLE TO OPEN. THIS HAS OCCURRED 5 TIMES ON OUR LUCERNE OVER THE PAST 4 YEARS. THE ONLY WAY TO OPEN THE DOOR IS REMOVE THE INNER DOOR PANEL. REACH INTO THE LOCK THROUGH THE ACCESS HOLES AND FREE UP THE MECHANISM. BRAKING DIDN'T STOP IT, PUTTING IT INTO DID NOT SLOW THE ENGINE REVS., HOWEVER TURNING OFF THE KEY AND RESTARTING AFTER COASTING A LITTLE WHILE WORKED ONCE OR TWICE TO STOP THE REVS.. TL*- THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE 2006 BUICK LUCERNE WOULD NOT MOVE FORWARD AFTER THE VEHICLE CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. THE CONTACT WAITED APPROXIMATELY 25 SECONDS BEFORE HE WAS ABLE TO PROCEED. HE HAD TO PUSH THE ACCELERATOR A COUPLE OF TIMES BEFORE THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED. ALSO, THE VEHICLE WOULD ACCELERATE BY ITSELF WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT STATED THERE WAS NO PARTICULAR TIME OF THE DAY, AND THE ROAD CONDITIONS HAVE BEEN CLEAR DURING EVERY OCCURRENCE. THE CONTACT SPOKE WITH DEALERSHIP, AND THEY INSTALLED A DATA PROCESSOR, THE CONTACT WAS ADVISED TO PUSH DATA PROCESSOR BUTTON WHEN PROBLEMS OCCURRED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOW STARTED TO GIVE FALSE WARNINGS. THE VEHICLE TRACTION CONTROL INDICATOR ILLUMINATED WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS NOT MOVING. ALSO, RECEIVED A SERVICE BRAKE ASSISTANCE WARNING WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS NOT MOVING. THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAD 12000 MILES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 7500.*AK

TL* - THE CONTACT CALLED REGARDINGTHE 2006 BUICK LUCERNE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SHIFTED TO THE RIGHT. BEFORE HE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, HE TOOK THE VEHICLE FOR A TEST DRIVE AND NOTICED THE VEHICLE PULLED TO THE RIGHT. THE DEALER ADVISED HIM THAT THEY WOULD ALIGN THE VEHICLE BEFORE HE TOOK DELIVERY. WHEN HE PICKED UP THE VEHICLE HE NOTICED THE VEHICLE STILL PULLING TO THE RIGHT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 30 MPH. WHEN THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ON THE VEHICLE IT PULLED TO THE RIGHT. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN AROUND A CURVE THE STEERING WHEEL CAME BACK TO THE CENTER, BUT IT STILL DRIFTED 3 DEGREES TO THE RIGHT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE MUST KEEP PRESSURE ON THE STEERING WHEEL IN ORDER TO KEEP THE VEHICLE STRAIGHT. THE CONTACT STATED THE DEALER HAS DONE 3 FRONT WHEEL ALIGNMENTS AND BALANCED THE TIRES. THIS HAS NOT CORRECTED THE STEERING PROBLEM. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 2400.*AK

2006 BUICK LUCERNE WITH A LIST OF CONCERNS /PROBLEMS**CC ON THE DAY OF PURCHASE THE CONSUMER'S NOTICED WIND NOISE FROM BOTH FRONT DOORS AND SCRATCHES ON THE WINDSHIELD. THE DEALER ATTEMPTED TO BUFF OUT THE SCRATCHES BUT WAS UNSUCCESSFUL. GM APPROVED A WINDSHIELD REPLACEMENT. WHILE DRIVING THE AUTOMATIC DRIVER'S SEAT STARTED MOVING UP ON IT'S OWN. THE SEAT WOULD NOT STOP UNTIL IT WAS AS FAR FORWARD AS IT COULD GO. THE CD PLAYER/RADIO REFUSED TO EJECT A CD, BUT AFTER TWO DAYS IT FINALLY RELEASED. THE RADIO WAS ALSO NOT WORKING DURING THIS TIME. THE CONSUMER MADE A SERVICE APPOINTMENT. TRUNK DECK EXPLODED. WHEN THE TRUNK RELEASE BUTTON WAS PUSHED THERE WAS A LOUD NOISE AND THE TRUNK FLEW OPEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE DOORS WERE READJUSTED TO STOP THE WIND NOISE. THE TECHNICIAN INDICATED HE COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE SEAT. THEY ALSO COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CD/RADIO. WHEN THE TECHNICIAN PRESSED THE TRUNK RELEASE BUTTON ON THE KEY FOB, THE TRUNK DECK EXPLODED. THE VEHICLE WAS LEFT AT THE DEALER TO BE SERVICED. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE OF THE TRUNK PROBLEM. *NM

TL*- THE CONTACT OWNS A 2006 BUICK LUCERNE THAT HAD BEEN TO THE DEALER 7 TIMES BECAUSE THE AIR BAGS INDICATOR LIGHT SHOWED THAT AIR BAGS NEEDED TO BE SERVICE. THE DEALER THEY REPLACED THE AIR BAG MODULE AND THE WIRING HARNESS. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS INDICATOR LIGHT CONTINUED TO SHOW ON DASHBOARD. *AK UPDATED 2/27/2007 - INTERMITTENTLY THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS INOPERATIVE. *NM

EXPERIENCED FRONT END VIBRATION ON DELIVERY. DEALER DID A WHEEL ALIGNMENT BUT A SLIGHT VIBRATION CONTINUED. EVENTUALLY IT INCREASED AND I TOOK IT TO A INDEPENDENT FOR BALANCING AND ROTATION BUT THE PROBLEM PERSISTED. THE DEALER ANALYZED IT AS "DEFECTIVE" TIRES ON THE FRONT AND REPLACED THEM. AS I DROVE HOME THE CAR PULLED TO THE RIGHT. TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY SWITCHED THE LEFT FRONT TO THE RIGHT AND THE RIGHT FRONT TO THE LEFT AND CLAIMED THAT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM. THE CAR BEGAN TO SHIMMY AND VIBRATE BADLY. RETURNED TO THE DEALER AND THEY FOUND MY RIGHT FRONT BRAKE DEFECTIVE. AS I LEFT THE DEALER I NOTICED THAT THERE STILL IS A VIBRATION. TRIED FOR 10 DAYS TO HAVE GM TALK WITH THE DEALER BUT THEY CONTINUALLY TOLD ME THEY HAD NOT BEEN ABLE TO REACH THEM. BECAUSE THIS CAR HAD THE DEFECTIVE INSTRUMENT PANEL THAT NO ONE CAN SEE DURING DAYLIGHT HOURS, FRONT END AND BRAKE PROBLEMS I DEEMED THIS BUICK LUCERNE UNSAFE AND HAVE SOLD IT TO A DEALER. *JB

MY 2006 BUICK LUCERNE CXS V8 DRIVERS SEAT IS OFFSET TO THE RIGHT OF THE STEERING WHEEL. UPON PERSONAL INVESTIGATION IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE OEM SUPPLIER OF THE DRIVERS SIDE AIRBAG HAD A LOT OF PROBLEMS PASSING DEPLOYMENT SPECIFICATIONS SO AS A LAST RESORT BUICK (GM) DECIDED TO MOVE THE SEAT INSTEAD. THIS IS VERY UNCOMFORTABLE TO DRIVE AND I REALLY WONDER HOW WELL THE AIRBAG WILL DEPLOY IN A SIDE IMPACT CRASH. I'VE CONTACTED GM AND THE DEALER AND GET THE RUNAROUND AND WAS EVEN TOLD BY ONE OF THE DEALERS SERVICE MEN THAT ALL CARS ARE DESIGNED LIKE THAT! *NM

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE SETTING THE CRUISE CONTROL THE VEHICLE SURGES FORWARD 5 TO 7 MPH. DUE TO THIS PROBLEM THE VEHICLE TAKES 15 TO 30 SECONDS TO RETURN TO THE SET SPEED. THIS IS AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM THAT OCCURS UNDER ALL DRIVING CONDITIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER FOR INSPECTION, WHERE IT WAS DETERMINED THIS WAS THE WAY THE VEHICLE WAS DESIGNED. UPDATED 7/11/2006 - DRIVER'S SIDE MIRROR FOGGED UP. THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD MOVE TO FULL. WIND WAS COMING THROUGH THE SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE LIGHT TO ILLUMINATE THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WERE NOT BRIGHT ENOUGH. *NM
