My headlights have deteriorated to the point that the vehicle can’t be driven at night. GM/Cadillac acknowledged this as a problem with this particular model. I sent an email to the Cadillac CEO, Rory Harvey. I received a call from an executive assistant stating that this issue was addressed prior to my report. I stated I could not use the vehicle at night due to safety issues. Her response was to offer me a discount on a new purchase. My vehicle now has a significant safety issue. The Cadillac dealer quoted my a price of $2,600 to replace the headlights.

problems with low beam headlights, which often resulted in dimness, fogging, or premature burnout due to faulty weather seals that allowed moisture into the headlight housings I’ve owned more than 5 cadillac srx different models from 2010-2016 and they all have this problem. I can’t see anything after changing the headlights low beam bulbs and the dealer told me to change the headlights assembly and it’s pretty pricey It’s an safety issue because I can’t see the roadway and I can’t turn my high beams on all the time due to will affect other drivers on the opposite side of road.

The headlights are a safety hazzard. The dealership that I purchased the car from, did not inform me of the extremely low headlights. They insist it passes PA guidelines. But they are in fact too low to drive safely at night. It's as if there are no headlights on at all. I found out there WAS a recall on these headlights. But only until 2019. Cadillac is no longer under any obligation to fix the problem. REALLY? That should have been a full recall on the hazerdous headlight for ALL of these vehicles. Not just some. Why would they allow these poor headlights to be on the road at night? Are they waiting for someone to get killed in a horrible accicent?

The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, the headlights failed to provide adequate lighting. The contact drove the vehicle with the high-beam headlights. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who changed the light bulbs, but the failure recurred. The mechanic informed the contact that a headlight assembly replacement was needed. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was approximately 32,000.

My vehicle caught fire while driving it. There was no warning…no engine lights on, no smoking engine. The fire seemed to start behind the dashboard of the passenger side. Less than 5 minutes and the car was completely engulfed in flames. My insurance company said there was too much damage to tell me what caused the fire.

The headlights are too dim to drive at night and with close to zero visibility, this is an extreme hazard. A Google search results in thousands of Cadillac SRX owners with the same issue and have called this car a "death trap" and have stated that they almost hit pedestrians. GM/Cadillac is not taking responsibility and are telling owners that we have to pay $2000 out of pocket for replacing the entire light housing, except the high beams and driving lights work but not the headlights for nighttime driving which is obviously a manufacturing defect. Please hold GM/Cadillac responsible before someone loses their life.

The recall on the the toe Link adjuster was replaced with a part that does not allow for adjustment of toe in or toe out. As a result, the rear tires had premature wear on the inside tread causing replacement of the tires. The dealer claims the replacement is correct and will not correct the part. The tire store said the part will not allow them to do the alignment to be correct.

There is webbing, delaminated on the touchscreen. It is no longer functioning. Dealership is asking $1700 for replacement. This is something that Cadillac knew and refuses to recall/replace. I cannot afford to replace this. It’s unethical of Cadillac to do something like this. Some type of voucher or assistance would be grateful if Cadillac/GM would step up to the plate and assist with this repair. It’s unacceptable and dangerous.

The contact owned a 2015 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30-40 MPH, the vehicle made an abnormal humming sound. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that the abnormal sound was caused by the rear brakes. The contact was informed that the rear brakes needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact continued driving for five hours when the rear driver's side wheel detached. The contact lost control of the vehicle, and the vehicle spun three times before landing in a ditch. Upon inspection, the contact discovered that the rear driver's side axle had fractured. There were no injuries sustained. The vehicle was towed off the road and eventually to a parking lot. The vehicle was deemed totaled by the insurance company. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V571000 (Suspension); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2015 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH during a rainstorm, the tires started slipping and the contact had difficulty controlling the vehicle. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who determined that excessive toe had caused abnormal wear on the rear tires but that the toe link could not be adjusted to the normal target. The contact was advised that the rear toe link adjuster would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V473000 (Suspension), but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 81,000.

I received a recall on my Cadillac SRX for a Rear Toe Link Separation Update issue. I had the repair completed at Plaza Cadillac in Leesburg, FL. This repair was completed on 03/11/2022. I have received multiple recall notices by text message, and Official Recall Notices about this work. I feel that there is gross incompetence somewhere in the system between the authorized dealer and GM and I have been unable to resolve this to stop the incorrect notices about a recall where the work has been completed. I feel that this is not only an inconvenience to receive these incorrect recall notices, but it is also a safety issue, because I could mistake a future recall issue about a problem with my vehicle and overlook it due to the incorrect notices that I have received and continue to receive.

The contact owns a 2015 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated while driving 30 MPH, the vehicle started to sway and was drifting, requiring her to make constant adjustments to stay in the lane. The contact stated that the rear tires had worn along the side wall and she had replaced the rear tires four times. The contact stated that each set of tires had worn out in the exact same manner, along the entire inner side wall. The contact had taken the vehicle to a local dealer to be diagnosed and it was determined that there were no issues with the rear suspension. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact stated that NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V473000 (Suspension) was completed in May of 2022 by the same dealer. The contact had asked the dealer if the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 21V473000 (Suspension) but had been advised by the dealer that the recall had been performed correctly. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.

The CUE touchscreen display has cracked for the second time in seven years without any physical impact. This appears to be a widespread defect in Cadillac SRX models. The screen becomes unresponsive and is a major distraction while driving, impacting safety, navigation, climate control, and backup camera visibility. Cadillac previously replaced it under warranty, but it has failed again. GM has not issued a recall despite hundreds of similar reports.”

The SRX models have been documented as having a defect with the headlights. Cadillac failed to notify all owners about a reimbursement program for a brief time in 2020. I own a low miles, garage housed SRX that is a danger to drive at night. I do not mind fixing my vehicles when there is a problem. However when this is a well-known highly documented issue, this is where I feel Cadillac should assist with this fix.

2/17/23 - Alarm went off 6AM EST; I received an Onstar Theft Alarm notification indicating theft deterrent system had been triggered. Sensor: Door/trunk/gate open. No activity around vehicle; alarm stopped on its own. No threat detected. Key fob nor internal button would open rear lift gate. 2/20/23 Problem confirmed by dealer (Integrity Cadillac, Chattanooga, TN); water found in rear cavity from sunroof drains; water damage to lift gate module and motor, (both replaced) clean sunroof drains $1760.37 Vehicle not inspected by mfr., police, insurance reps, etc. No warnings before alarm triggered; only after alarm triggered, "Theft Detection Warning" error msg scrolled across dash after vehicle started; gauges on dash acted erratically while driving.

Failed sunroof drains caused flooding, which further cost damage (complete loss) to the lift gate module and pump. Problem has been confirmed by the dealer service department.

There is a known safety issue with the factory headlights as they are far too deem at night. Unsafe to drive. I had to pay money out of my pocket to replace the headlights as Cadillac no longer replaces them. There should be a permanent recall and coverage for this. Please investigate this issue as this should not be something an owner should have to pay when it clearly is an issue with the manufacturer.

There was a defective light headlamp recall issued in year 2020 for my vehicle 2015 SRX Cadillac. This was during the COVID pandemic. The recall started around March 2020 and ended June 2020. I was affected by COVID 19 as many were and I missed that window by a couple weeks. There was a noticeable dimming with my headlamps when driving at night. This issue has threatened me and my family putting our lives at risk. I took my vehicle back to Steve Foley Cadillac where I purchased it and it was confirmed that the headlamps were defective and needed replacement. Management in parts department told me I had to contact GM to get their approval to replace my headlamps in writing or I would have to pay out of pocket (2000.00 +) because the recall had expired by a couple weeks prior to getting my vehicle in for inspection. I continued to reach out to GM with many phone calls thru emails and texts they continued to say someone will call me back or e-mail me but it never happened. The safety and care of customers should never be compromised or ignored when catastrophic outcomes are present.

Since I purchased this car secondhand, the headlights are very dim at night, and it is unable to see in the dark, unless if I have my highbeams on which is a big safety hazard. The class action act expired by the time I purchase a vehicle, and I was unaware of this at the purchase of the vehicle. I have been in contact with two different aftermarket warranty companies, and they are refusing to cover it, in contact with Cadillac and oh, they suggested it was an aftermarket warranty. I have been unable to get coverage for something I believe I should since it is a safety hazard and that is not anything at my fault.

Continuous Struggle with the performance of my vehicle’s headlights. I feel like I am driving blind at night unless I turn my Brights on. I have a 2015 SRX and my low headlights are really dim. My 2015 SRX HEADLIGHTS are pretty useless, I got the lens cleaned up and they are not clouded but the light is so dim making it unsafe for me to drive at night. I did some research and found there has been a class action lawsuit filed over Cadillac SRX headlight performance and there are numerous complaints on this by so many frustrated Cadillac owners. My dealer is asking for $1700 to fix the headlights. I feel this is a safety issue and GM should be responsible to resolve the issue. The problem exists from day 1 since I bought the car.

Vehicle headlights are very dim and night visibility is extremely limited and very dangerous. Driving in rain proves impossible. Seems to be a known issue that Cadillac owners are repairing themselves to the tune of between $1400-3000. Models SRX, years 2010-2016 After reading many user/enthusiasts web forums, I see this issue being reported by hundreds of owners.

ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS OVER THE PAST 3 MONTHS THE CAR WOULD "JOLT" WHILE ACCELERATING IN THE 20 TO 30 MPH RANGE SO BAD IT FELT LIKE I WAS HIT FROM BEHIND. FELT LIKE THE TRANSMISSION GOT CAUGHT BETWEEN GEARS. TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER AND HAD TO PAY OVER $275 FOR DIAGNOSTICS AND REPROGRAMMING EVEN THOUGH CAR WAS STILL UNDER THE POWER TRAIN WARRANTY. THE DEALER DID NOT KNOW IF THIS WAS THE FIX. VERY DISAPPOINTED THIS WASN'T COVERED UNDER THE WARRANTY.

WHILE AT A DEAD STOP AND THEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE, VEHICLE WILL HAVE A LAG BEFORE ANY ACCELERATION OCCURS. LAG CAN BE FROM 5-10 SECONDS. HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES OVER PAST 12 MONTHS. EXTREME SAFETY ISSUE. BEEN TO DEALERSHIP EACH TIME, BUT THEY CANNOT REPRODUCE AND NO DIAGNOSTIC CODES APPEAR. 3.6L ENGINE. I SEE THAT A RECALL FOR A VERY SIMILAR ISSUES WAS PERFORMED ON 2013 MODEL YEAR SRXS. THAT RECALL REQUIRED REPROGRAMMING OF TRANSMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM. SAME ISSUE????

The contact called the local dealer, who informed the contact that the reflector material had burned off. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. I HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THE LIGHTS BEING TOO DIM EVERY SINCE I PURCHASED THE CAR. I CAN HARDLY SEE AT NIGHT, WHICH IS VERY DANGEROUS AND IT NEEDS TO BE CORRECTED. MY SCREEN SHOWING THE INFORMATION ABOUT THE RADIO ETC. BLACKS OUT. IT HAS BEEN REPAIRED, I WAS TOLD BUT IT CONTINUES TO DO SO. I CANNOT END A CALL BY PRESSING THE BUTTON ON THE STEERING WHEEL. I HAVE ALSO COMPLAINED ABOUT THIS NUMEROUS TIMES. IT ALSO MAKES THIS WEIRD NOISE WHEN DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AFTER A FEW HOURS BUT THE DEALERSHIP CANNOT SEEM TO FIND THE PROBLEM. I HAVE BEEN HAVING ALL OF THESE ISSUES FOR QUITE SOME TIME. THE LIGHTS NEED TO BE REPLACED AT THE MANUFACTURES EXPENSE, SOMETHING NEEDS TO BE DONE ABOUT THE SCREEN GOING BLACK AS I HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS NOW. THE LOW BEAM HEAD LIGHTS ARE DIM MAKING THE CAR A SAFETY ISSUE TO DRIVE AT NIGHT. THERE HAS BEEN A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT FILED AGAINST GM AND GM LOST. GM INDICATES THERE IS A PROBLEM BUT WILL NOT FIX THE ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP WANT $2200 TO FIX THE PROBLEM WITH THE SAME PARTS THAT THAT ARE CAUSING THE PROBLEM.

LIGHTS ARE NOTICEABLY DIM WHILE DRIVING IN RAINY WEATHER. VISIBILITY IS MORE DIFFICULT AT NIGHT. MY PASSENGERS WERE ASKING ME WERE MY LIGHTS EVEN ON BECAUSE THEY FELT UNSAFE. CADILLAC OFFERED A REIMBURSEMENT. I FEEL THAT THIS IS A SAFETY.

Nothing has happened yet, however, we just bought this vehicle and the Stabilitrack light came on 2 days after we bought it. We took it to a mechanic and it coded C056D, brake module hardware fault. He said that "the Cadillac must go to the dealership, 2010-2016 SRX's have brake control module problems and they don't make the module anymore so it has to be removed and sent off for rebuild then programmed to the car." How in the world can Cadillac have a known problem, and quit making the part that fixes it? If you get on Cadillac forums, it is all they talk about on these models. Cadillac should be held responsible for fixing this problem for thousands of Cadillac owners so that we can drive with no braking problems!! We just got a bid from our closest Cadillac dealership and the cost to rebuild the part is $2000, labor $1000 and we would be without a car for 2 weeks!!!

BRAKE, ABS, and traction message came on at the same time. EBCM 20842710 is the part number. Been at BIG STAR CADILLAC in Houston, Texas a month with no explanation except waiting on GM for parts but the Dealership can’t tell me anything and I am ready to call the News station about this situation. They can’t get me in another vehicle unless it’s NEW with a hefty down payment that I don’t have. I have dialysis 3 times a week and now I have to use my wife’s car, now she can’t get to work. What are we supposed to do??? How much longer do I have to wait? They can’t answer that either. This is the USAand can’t get a simple part. No one seem to care either. Very distraught and unhappy. I need help and I need it NOW!!!

FOR MONTHS NOW I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY BRAKES. THEY ALL OF A SUDDEN GO HARD AND DON'T BRAKE AS EASY AS THEY SHOULD ALSO TAKE A LOT LONGER TO BREAK AND HAVE TO PUSH DOWN FURTHER AND ALL OF A SUDDEN A DAY OR TWO LATER IT'S GONE. IT COMES AND GOES RANDOMLY. I TOLD THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID THEY DON'T SEE A PROBLEM AND HAVE NO RECALLS.

BREAKING SYSTEM SEEMS DELAYED, APPLYING FOOT ON THE PEDAL TO BREAK TAKES MORE PRESSURE THEN USUAL. ALSO WHEELS ARE CONSTANTLY SQUEAKING. FOR OVER A YEAR I'VE BROUGHT THIS ATTENTION TO THE DEALERSHIPS MECHANIC WHERE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AND THEIR ONLY IMPLY IS THAT THE BREAKS ARE CERAMIC AND WILL DO THIS REGARDLESS. THIS DOES NOT SEEM SAFE. EVERY TIME I USE MY BREAKS I HAVE TO ADJUST THE TIMING AND PAY CLOSER ATTENTION TO DRIVING WHEN USING THE BREAK SYSTEM. THE VEHICLES BREAK SYSTEM DOES NOT FEEL SAFE ESPECIALLY WHILE DRIVING.

My headlights are so dim it looks like I don’t have headlights until I do bright lights. I literally have to drive with bright lights all the time at night. Found this out on [XXX] while trying to get home from Land O Lakes, FL. I don’t do much night driving but at [XXX] I should be able to see. The forward section of the sunroof exploded into thousands of pieces and fell into the driver and passenger sides of the front seats. This happened while my wife was driving down a rural highway, no other cars or equipment or buildings were near the vehicle when this occurred, open fields on both sides of the highway NOTHING HIT THE GLASS. This is a very big safety issue, the potential response from a driver that unexpectedly has what sounds like a gun go off 12 inches from their head, not to mention all the glass that falls onto them immediately after the explosion.

TODAY, I PAID $1789.01 AT RON CARTER CADILLAC DEALERSHIP, FRIENDSWOOD, TX, TO REPLACE TWO HEADLAMPS ON MY 2015 CADILLAC SRX. SEVERAL MONTHS AGO, I NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP THAT LIGHTS WERE SO DIM ON CAR THAT I COULD BARELY SEE AT NIGHT. IT PAINED ME TO PAY FOR THIS, ESPECIALLY WHEN I FOUND OUT IT HAS BEEN AN ONGONG PROBLEM AND NO RECALL HAS BEEN ISSUED. I EXPECTED BETTER QUALITY FROM CADILLAC.

THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME IT WOULD BE 1800.00 TO REPLACE THEM BUT THEY WILL BE REPLACING THEM WITH THE SAME KIND I HAVE IN THERE SO IN 4 YEARS I WILL BE PAYING ANOTHER 1800.00.GM KNOWS OF THE PROBLEM BUT WILL DO NOTHING ABOUT IT

The liftgate on my vehicle has stopped working. After researching this online I see that Cadillac/GM was sued concerning this issue. Please look into this for me. This repair would be very costly and it is unthinkable for a car that is less than 7 years old has this kind of body failure.

The headlights are ineffective. It is like driving without headlights at night. Had bulbs replaced but did not improve lighting. Moisture on inside of windshield. On cold evenings the inside of the windshield is frozen. March 21, 2024 the tailgate will not open. It appears this is a common complaint with this vehicle caused by drainage from the sunroof leaking onto the module that powers the tailgate.

The headlights are very, very dim when driving the vehicle at night. They are getting progressively worse. Before I took ownership of the vehicle, it was owned by my elderly parents, (82 and 88), both recently deceased. In the years prior to their deaths, they drove much less and hardly ever at night. It wasn't until I took ownership that my wife and I began to notice just how dim the lights were when driving at night. I took the car, which then had 52K miles on it back to Bentley Cadillac in Huntsville, AL, where it had been purchased to have it's latest recall performed. I also paid $1350 to have the climate package controls replaced, which hadn't worked properly for years. I was preparing the vehicle to sell as I was left with too many vehicles and too few drivers. A potential buyer test drove it and part of the drive was at night. They came back saying what we had noticed previously, that the headlights were too dim for safe nighttime driving. The buyer, who had previously expressed very strong interest did not follow through with the purchase as she stated that she felt the vehicle was unsafe to drive at night, which, of course, would seriously limit the vehicles usefulness to her, or, to anyone else for that matter, including myself. I looked at the internet to try and ascertain whether there were others having similar problems with vehicles like mine. Indeed, there were many describing exactly the problems I had been experiencing. The seals on these SUV's were and are continuing to break down allowing moisture into and the headlights, making them defective and unsafe to drive. While I found no active recalls, Cadillac had previously acknowledged the problem by reimbursing some owners for repairs they themselves had paid for up-front around the year 2020. I contacted the Cadillac and the dealership. The best they did was to offer between around $400 and $600 toward a repair that was going to cost between $1600 and $2K, or more by the time is was completed.

I bought this as a certified used vehicle. On 1/21/2023 I had a wreck and based on my vehicle, injuries, and photos I strongly believe the airbags should have deployed. I specifically bought this vehicle due to the safety and airbag components. I am reporting this incident because I would not want anyone to be injured or any children in the event that this is something that needs to be looked into. I appreciate your website and how it breaks down the safety of vehicles and for this reason I feel it is important to report this issue. (It was a total loss, I sought medical attention, the vehicle was towed, however the photos are what blew my mind when I went to retrieve my items. I do not understand how airbags did not deploy).

I was in an accident on 8/19/22. I was completely stopped when struck head on by a Ram Truck with a Ranch-hand bumper. The hit totaled my car, bending the frame and pushing the left front of the vehicle up against the firewall and driving my vehicle sideways. However, the airbag did not deploy. The car is now in possession of Texas Farm Bureau Insurance. My head struck the driver's-side window, and I suffered a head injury, whiplash which resulted in a concussion, and neck and back injuries. There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the accident.

HEADLIGHTS!!! The headlights are so dim that other drivers flash me, honk at me or yell at me to turn my lights on when driving at night. When driving at night It is the same as driving without my headlights on. I have to use the high beams to drive at night. I changed the fuses, changed 1 of the bulbs and still no difference. The vehicle was taken to a dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the ABS module needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that parts were no longer being manufactured to replace the part. The approximate failure mileage was 74,000.

Please find attached requested documentation of "Ourisman" brand GM auto repair facilities "Chevrolet of Bowie" and "Chevrolet of Marlow Heights". These new, used, and certified pre-owned car dealerships are providing lock-smithing, auto repair services, advertising check engine light services for GM models unidentified or unavailable by JD Power and the N.A.D.A (National Automobile Dealers Association) for trade-in pricing. This results in: 1) Refurbished, aftermarket automobile repair parts resold by AutoZone, Advance Auto Parts, and Rock Auto of suspect year compatibility and road worthiness. 2) Failing MDOT safety protocols required for state inspection and VEIP compliance, out-of-state registrars can purchase vehicles in VA with GI-Bill accessibility or other states with industry related, company affiliations which are either unsafe or able to be resold in ancillary used car markets. 2015 Cadillac SRX with 87,397 has a failed Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) or ABS module. It can be made available for inspection upon request. Alexander Cadillac of Oxnard refuses to repair it stating a replacement part is no longer available (it can be repaired by a specialty repair company). They cite liability by using after market or repaired parts. Without a functioning EBCM - ABS,power steering and traction control do not work which puts me and others at risk. Worse, the failed EBCM is now causing the car to go into "limp mode", which cuts power to the engine and prevent acceleration. When making a turn onto a street, it suddenly went into limp mode and I was almost hit by an approaching semi-truck. The problem was identified by Alexander of Oxnard service center - but they refuse to make any effort to remedy the problem. There are multiple blogs on the internet citing similar systemic issues with the EBCM that is no longer manufactured but can be repaired by a specialty shop. Lights on the dash first started to appear in September 2024. Lights include ABS, Brake and traction control / stability light. New lights started to appear in June 2025 including Check Engine, headlamp and auto-parking symbols. Alexander Cadillac of Oxnard cites that the EBCM is drawing too much current and causing issues to other systems on the car - a cascading effect. I am very afraid to drive the car and fear that it will lose power when needed, stall or the brakes will lock up.

Vehicle lurches from 0-20mph since purchase of vehicle from Greenbelt Caddillac. Vehicle only serviced there until no longer in business. Shifter linkage cable issue assumed. Parking brake disengages prior to switch depress. In automatic mode, when switched to manual, shifter does not highlight that it is engaged in shifter box. Dashboard shows change in transmission function. Camshaft Position Sensor Bank 1 code returned around 100-120k+ miles after 2 flat tires and suspension serviced by Caliber Collision. OnStar taking control of vehicle suspected of causing timing belt to skip timing supported by Chevrolet Ourisman of Bowie. Paid $800-1000 to Ourisman for service and diagnostic. Ourisman suggested engine needed to be opened to fully inspect or replaced for $6-8000. A piece of the sensor was claimed to have broken off and fallen into lower engine manifold. Vehicle would rev when stopped and putter to halt. Vehicle would start and stick in second gear up to 40mph until stopping and refusing to start. Engine replacement evaluation reconfirmed by Foreign Auto Parts of Annapolis, MD after explanation. Chevrolet of Silver Spring attempted to buy car for $100 after suspect inspection. Declined. 3 new sensors were changed manually though did not turn off the check engine light, still returning bank 1 camshaft sensor. Eventually vehicle towed to MZ Auto Repair 9500 Allentown Rd, Fort Washington. Engine swapped, battery changed and check engine light cleared. Vehicle ran for 2000-3000 miles until check engine light returned with same code Bank 1 Camshaft Position Sensor. Vehicle presumed tampered with during lifetime of use however original lurch during engagement of powertrain implicates feigned manufacturer defect or original Cadillac of Greenbelt.

Lights became so dim it was impossible to see at night. I replaced the bulbs multiple times with no remedy. I also had the outer shell cleaned which still did not help. I had to finally have the whole assembly replaced.

Vehicle Safety Complaint – 2015 Cadillac SRX VIN: [XXX] Mileage: 75,000 miles Location: Flint MI I am experiencing multiple issues with my 2015 Cadillac SRX that pose serious safety concerns. EVAP Solenoid and Throttle Failure: The EVAP solenoid and throttle are not functioning properly, leading to performance issues. Gas cap light comes on.The SUV struggles to accelerate, especially when attempting to merge or drive at highway speeds. Rear Suspension Not Repaired:The rear suspension problem was not properly repaired by Al Serra Cadillac, despite previous service.This has resulted in unstable handling and potential safety risks while driving.Acceleration Issues: At 75,000 miles, the vehicle is failing to accelerate properly, which is extremely dangerous when merging onto highways or making quick maneuvers.Safety Concerns:The throttle and acceleration issues make it difficult to maintain safe driving speeds.The rear suspension problem impacts the vehicle’s stability and handling.These issues create a serious risk to both myself and other drivers on the road. Attempts to Resolve: The rear suspension was previously serviced by Al Serra Cadillac, but the issue persists.The problem has not been adequately addressed by the dealership. This vehicle has had an intermittent (for a few years) issue with all of the warning lights (ABS,Stabilitrak,Parking Brake,Steering) coming on when starting. If you tried to drive it, you would have no power steering causing the vehicle difficult to handle. This would not happen every time it was started. We took the car to the local Cadillac dealership and were told nothing was wrong and it was just the system going through the electronic check system and to just not put it in gear until after the lights cleared. That actually did work sometimes. Recently, it came off and would never go off. We took it to a shop that does other work on other vehicles for me. He found that the Electronic Brake Control Module was bad. He tried to source a replacement one but found that it was discontinued with no alternate part. He did find a used one which we are waiting on to be delivered and then installed. My first concern is that if this happened when my wife was driving she could lose control of the vehicle causing an accident. My second concern is how can GM discontinue a known problem (I found multiple forums discussing this issue) part with no replacement. The vehicle is 10 years old with only 75K miles. I have read this has been an issue for quite a few years.

On Monday, August 5, 2024 when I started the vehicle and began driving to work I noticed upon startup the engine was clearly noticeably louder. It also made a strange bogging downshift type noise when idling. Upon driving, the noise seemed to go in and out but once reaching approximately 40mph the noise got noticeably loud again and the vehicle seemed as though it was having gear shifting issues. I had the transmission fluid flushed and filled costing me $300. This seemed to help but very little.I did research to find recalls on the vehicle and found “Special Coverage 18029, Reference # N172115200”, which is an Inoperative Purge Solenoid. THIS IS A DEFECTIVE PART INSTALLED BY MANUFACTURER. I was unsure if this was the issue with the vehicle however doing research it was very possible. I contacted GM more than once and was stonewalled. All they said was to contact my local Cadillac Dealership to have the issue diagnosed and repaired at my cost. They offered no resolution although it’s a defectively installed part by GM at the factory. Engine light came on for the first time Thursday, 01/09/‘25. I used the diagnostic computer tool from AutoZone and the printed results showed it was in fact the Engine Variable Valve Timing Solenoid and Crankshaft Position - Camshaft Position Correlation Bank 1 Sensor A “Code P0016”. The vehicle has been dangerous to drive nearly stalling out or unable to shift smoothly nearly causing an accident several times, as well as loud and giving off dangerous noxious fumes. GMs refusal to fix the vehicle due to their negligence in factory installing a defective and faulty part, as well as the rear passenger side Tire Pressure Sensor Monitor (TPSM) shows the unconcern for their customers safety and satisfaction with their product and underscores that seemingly their only concern is their own monetary profits and refusal to amend and resolve dangerous mechanical issues caused by their own doing.

My 2015 Cadillac SRX4 developed an issue with the Electronic Brake Control Module which produced the following dash light warnings, park brake, stabili track and power steering alert. I took it to Thompson Pontiac Cadillac in Springfield Mo. I was notified that the ECBM module was discontinued and they bought a remanufactured part from EBAY. They informed me that the part did not fix all of the issues. I still have a power steering drive with care alert still illuminated. The dealership offered no other options for fixing the problem. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed that the front catalytic converter needed to be replaced. The independent mechanic replaced the front catalytic converter. The vehicle was then taken to the dealer, where the infotainment screen was replaced. The contact stated that the independent mechanic had previously replaced the rear catalytic converter. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 49,089.

I am filing a formal complaint with Cadillac and the NTSB about the design of the 2015 Cadillac SRX sunroof drains and rear hatch. The issue is that the rear sunroof drains get clogged and water fills the rear compartment and destroys the rear hatch electronics. Further, there is no manual release on the rear hatch which creates a safety hazard as there is no access to the spare tire. The repairs are estimated at $3,091.09 as shown on the attached quote and diagnostic receipt.

Dim headlamps that are non fixable by installing new lights.. headlamp assemblies in the 2016 Cadillac SRX suffer from defective seals that allow moisture to accumulate and condense, therefore damaging and dimming the headlight bulbs.

The contact owns a 2015 Cadillac SRX. The contact stated that while depressing the brake pedal, a squeaking noise was present coming from the front of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced the front brake pads and rotors, but the failure continued. Additionally, while driving at night with the low beam headlights activated, the headlights were extremely dim, making visibility extremely difficult while driving. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 40,700.

I have been having issues with my vehicle stalling and trembling. The Stabilitrak message, check engine light, and service traction control message has turned on a couple times when starting the car. On Aug 9th, I received a letter in the mail stating that my car has a safety recall. The same day I called the Cadillac dealership where I bought the car and scheduled an appt to check these issues and advised about the recall letter I received. The dealership scheduled an appt on Aug 31st. On the 31st, I dropped the car off and left it there for two days. On sept 2ns, I called to check on the status of my car, when the service assistant advised that they did not have the part and have to order it and they do not know when they are going to receive it. Nothing was done to my vehicle. I asked if I can leave my car at service and get a loaner and they said they were not lending out any vehicles due to the pandemic. I live 1hour from the dealership. I have been driving for almost a month around with a vehicle that's not safe. The recall letter clearly states that if this vehicle is driven , it can result in a crash. It also states that the parts to repair the vehicle are not currently available. I am not sure what to do or who to contact in this matter as I do not have another vehicle I can rely on. Please advise.

I HAD MY CRUISE CONTROL SET TO 70 MILES PER HOUR AND WHEN IT WAS TIME TO EXIT THE HIGHWAY, THE CRUISE CONTROL WOULD NOT TURN OFF. I ENTERED A ONE-LANE ELEVATED EXIT. I APPLIED THE BRAKES, AND WHILE GOING 50 MPH, WAS TRYING TO TURN THE CRUISE CONTROL OFF AT ITS SWITCH. I SHIFTED THE CAR INTO NEUTRAL AND WHEN I PUT IT BACK INTO DRIVE THE CAR STARTED TO ACCELERATE AGAIN. I TRIED THIS MORE THAN ONCE. I HAD DIFFICULTY MAINTAINING CONTROL OF MY VEHICLE. AFTER GETTING OFF THE EXIT, I BROUGHT THE CAR TO A STOP BY PLACING IT IN NEUTRAL. I WAS NOW AT THE ENTRYWAY TO DFW AIRPORT AND HAD MY VEHICLE ON THE SHOULDER. AFTER TURNING THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON I HOPED THAT MAYBE I COULD DRIVE IT TO A PARKING SPOT, AS TO CALL A WRECKER AT THAT MOMENT WOULD CAUSE ME TO LOSE MY EXPENSIVE TICKET FOR AN OVERSEAS FLIGHT. AFTER I TURNED THE CAR BACK ON, I TRIED TO TAKE OFF TO MERGE WITH TRAFFIC AND FOUND THAT MY CAR WOULD NOT GET UP TO SPEED SO I PULLED BACK ONTO THE SHOULDER. I TRIED THIS AGAIN AND REALIZED THAT MY FOOT DID NOT REACH THE ACCELERATOR AS IT NORMALLY DOES. NOT ONLY HAD THE CRUISE CONTROL FAILED TO TURN OFF BUT THE ACCELERATOR WAS NOW STUCK DOWN. I HIT THE ACCELERATOR WITH THE HEEL OF MY FOOT AND IT DISLODGED. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR TO THE CLOSEST PARKING LOT. UPON MY RETURN I HAD THE CAR TOWED AS I WAS FEARFUL OF DRIVING IT.

THE DRIVE SHAFT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AT 65,000 MILES. THE HEADLIGHTS LOOK LIKE THEY ARE NOT ON AT NIGHT WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING. THERE HAVE BEEN 2 CLASS ACTION LAWSUITS WON IN CALIFORNIA AND FLORIDA FOR THESE DEFECTIVE HEADLIGHTS. I DON'T KNOW WHY THEY WOULD NOT INCLUDE ALL THE CARS THAT HAD THESE HEADLIGHTS BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL DEFECTIVE. IF I WOULD HAVE KNOWN THIS I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THE CAR. I HAVE OWNED IT 4 MONTHS AND THE TOUCH SCREEN CRACKED, DRIVER ASSIST SEAT CONTROL STOPPED WORKING, THE DRIVE SHAFT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED AND THE HEADLIGHTS DO NOT LOOK LIKE THEY ARE ON AT NIGHT. FIRST THING I NOTICED WAS ONE OF THE AIR BAGS DEPLOYED AND AFTER PULLING OF THE ROAD AND COMING TO A STOP, I NOTICED A FIRE FROM THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. I EXITED THE VEHICLE AND STILL ON THE PHONE WITH ONSTAR, MY CAR FULLY ENGULFED WITHIN 15 MINUTES. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS ON SITE AFTER THE CAR WAS FULLY ENGULFED AND TOOK AN HOUR TO PUT OUT THE FLAMES. MY CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS. NO ONE KNOWS WHY IT CAUGHT FIRE, WHAT CAUSED IT.
