The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while driving at 70 MPH, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. The contact was able to coast to the side of the road. The contact's granddaughter was a passenger in the vehicle. The check engine warning light and the Electronic Throttle Control warning light were illuminated. The contact was able to restart the vehicle. The contact stated that the engine revved abnormally, and the vehicle started to move forward independently. The contact depressed the brake pedal to the floorboard. The contact used force to depress the brake pedal. The contact stated that after a while, the vehicle returned to function as intended; however, the failure persisted. The contact stated that while the vehicle was stopped at a traffic light or stop sign, the brake pedal and accelerator pedal needed to be simultaneously depressed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed, and determined that the PCV vacuum hose had failed. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure persisted. The contact's brother inspected the vehicle and noticed that the PCV vacuum hose was not connected to the upper intake manifold and that the hose had a two-inch split at one of the ends of the hose. The contact's brother reconnected the hose. The contact stated that the dealer was supposed to have replaced the hose. The failure was progressively worsening, and the vehicle was no longer being driven. The manufacturer was notified of the failure via certified mail. The failure mileage was 174,862.

My 300 has a glitch that causes me to put in neutral then back in drive I'm guessing because of a limp mode, I've had it worked on many times at the dealer in the 3 years I've owned it and spent thousands of dollars and not fix the problem. It done what 06V341000 said but my Vin is not effected they say

THIS IS REGARDING THE TRANSMISSION. WHILE DRIVING, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD SUDDENLY JERK AS IT WAS ABOUT TO SHIFT. THIS WOULD HAPPEN MOSTLY WHEN SLOWING DOWN, THEN ACCELERATING TO MERGE WITH TRAFFIC. I bought a 07 Chrysler 300 at 126k. I had just got an oil change like a month before and radiator clean. One day I'm driving and then I parked and then I crank it up and it just starts making noise out of no where.So I cut it off and on and it's making clacking noise. I didn't have no lights on when I bought the car 3 months ago and it still doesn't have a light on. It just locked up on me out of no where. I didn't even get a chance to enjoy my car. I only had it 3 months and my motor Locked up on me with no warning ️ no lights. I been reading and I see they been saying something about the oil pump going out in Chrysler motors. Now I hear they don't even make my size motor no more. U have to buy a remanufactured or rebuild one. That's alot of money I just spent to get it and now I got to pay the same amount I paid for the car for a motor because the oil pump went out without a sign or warning or light. I'm out of $5,000 and I gotta pay another $5,000 for motor. That is not right. I wish Chrysler would do something about this. That's alot of money gone down the drain in 3 months and I kept it clean and running. My oil ain't even turn color yet. It's still clear. My car been sitting down going on a whole year.

PURCHASED THIS CAR FEW MONTHS AGO. MONDAY FEB. 24TH, 2020 I WAS SITTING INSIDE MY CAR WHEN SUDDENLY I NOTICE A FIRE IN THE ENGINE. I IMMEDIATELY GRAB MY WALLET AND PHONE EXITED THE CAR AND CALLED 911. THE FIREMEN CAME (FIRE WAS OUT BY THAT TIME) . I HAD CAR TOWED TO DEALERSHIP (4460 MCHENRY AVE, MODESTO CA 95356 CENTRAL VALLEY CHRYSLER, NISSAN) THEY HAD CAR FOR COUPLE OF DAYS AND TODAY CALLED ME IN TO TELL ME THAT A ROD SHOT THROUGH THE OIL PAN (I ASSUME IT OCCURRED AFTER FIRE STARTED BECAUSE I DID NOT HEAR ANYTHING PRIOR TO FIRE AND WAS NOT DRIVING CAR WHEN FIRE STARTED). THEY TOLE ME THAT IT NEEDS A NEW ENGINE BUT THEY NEED TO DO MORE RESEARCH ON CAR AND GO INTO ENGINE (WHICH I GUESS IS A BIG TASK). THEY TELL ME THAT IF THEY DETERMINE THAT THEY MUST REPLACE ENGINE AT THEIR COST (UPON BUYING CAR DEALERSHIP TOLD ME I COULD ONLY GET FINANCED FOR CAR IF I PURCHASED A 24 MONTH WARRANTY WHICH I DID). THEY THEN ADVISE ME THAT THIS JOB OF JUST LOOKING INTO ENGINE IS $4,200.00 AND THAT I MUST PAY THEM THIS AMOUNT PRIOR TO THEM DOING THEIR EXPLORATORY WORK ON ENGINE. THEY TELL ME THAT IF I DID NOTHING TO CAUSE FIRE (THAT IS CRAZY TO THINK I SOMEHOW IN VERY SHORT TIME AS OWNER CAUSED CAR TO JUST CATCH FIRE OUT OF THE BLUE WHILE SITTING IN IT PARKED) THAT THEY WILL REPLACE THE ENGINE WITH A USED ONE. I FEEL AS THOUGH A USED ENGINE MAY FORCE ME TO GO THROUGH THIS AGAIN AND I WAS FORTUNATE AS IF FIRE WERE TO TRAVEL THROUGH GAS LINE I WOULD BE DEAD RIGHT NOW. I BELIEVE THEY WANT TO FORCE ME TO PAY THIS MONEY UP FRONT AND THEN TRY AND TELL ME IT IS MY RESPONSIBILITY TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING, NULLIFYING MY WARRANTY JUST SO THEY DO NOT HAVE TO HONOR THEIR LEGAL OBLIGATIONS.

My dash gauges continues to drop to zero and then pick back up to normal and it does it over and over. I just got a diagnosis and it has code C1018 Central Gateway (FCM) Right Front Wheel Speed Sensor Circuit High-Active. I have a full report of code on this vehicle.

The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 300. The contact stated after exiting out of their vehicle from a drive, they smell an abnormal odor of plastic burning coming from the rear of the exterior of the vehicle. The contact inspected their vehicle and opened their rear trunk and noticed that the plastic covering of their fuse box in their trunk had melted with melt wiring coming from the fuse box to the battery. The contact stated there was no smoke or fire coming from the vehicle therefore nothing had to be extinguished. No fire department report was made. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 95,000.

The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while driving at 30 MPH, her vehicle shut off without warning. Unable to restart the vehicle, the contact had the vehicle towed to her home. The contact had the battery and starter replaced; however, the failure persisted. The contact then had an independent mechanic come to her home where they discovered that the failure was linked to the vehicle's ignition switch. The contact then had the vehicle towed to a dealer where she was informed that they would not be able to repair the vehicle until December. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 156,000.

I STARTED UP THE VEHICLE AND THERE WAS A WEIRD NOISE COMING FROM UP UNDER THE HOOD. I THOUGHT IT COULD HAVE BEEN THE VEHICLE BESIDE ME SO I TURNED MY CAR OFF AND THE NOISE STOPPED. I STARTED MY VEHICLE AGAIN AND HEARD THE NOISE AGAIN. SO I TURNED OFF THE MOTOR, RAISED THE HOOD AND OBSERVED COOLANT ON THE VEHICLE'S FRAME AND ON THE GROUND. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A REPAIR SHOP AND THEY FOUND THAT ONE OF THE TWO COOLING FANS SEPARATED AND PUNCTURED THE RADIATOR IN SEVERAL LOCATIONS. I'VE OWNED THE CAR FOR SIX AND A HALF YEARS NOW. AT TIMES THE CAR JUST LOSES POWER WITHOUT ANY WARNING. THIS HAPPENS INTERMITTENTLY AND DOESN'T SEEM TO MATTER WHAT SPEED I'M GOING OR WHAT THE ROAD CONDITIONS ARE. IT HAPPENS IN GOOD WEATHER (DRY ROADS) AND BAD WEATHER (WET SNOWY ROADS). IT'S HAPPENED BOTH WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ON AND OFF. IT HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 10 TIMES TO DATE. AT TIMES THE CAR SLOWS TO ALMOST A COMPLETE STOP AND THEN TAKES OFF AGAIN. AT TIMES IT HAS COME TO A COMPLETE STOP. I'VE HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND BACK ON AGAIN AND IT'S FINE. LATELY WHEN IT HAPPENS IF I PRESS THE GAS PETAL REPEATEDLY THE CAR WILL TAKE OFF AGAIN AND BE FINE UNTIL THE NEXT TIME IT HAPPENS. I'VE NEVER HAD ANY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT OR INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHT COME ON. CAR DIES RIGHT AFTER FILLING THE GAS TANK. THIS HAS HAPPENED NUMEROUS TIMES WHILE DRIVING AT A LOW SPEED, IDLING AWAY FROM THE GAS PUMP, OR STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN OR TRAFFIC LIGHT. LAST TIME THIS HAPPENED, I WAS ALMOST HIT IN THE REAR AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT WHEN THE CAR STALLED. LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP ACKNOWLEDGED THE PROBLEM WAS A FAULTY PART THAT IS MOLDED INTO THE 19 GALLON FUEL TANK BUT SAID MY CAR WASN'T COVERED. MY MECHANIC VERIFIED THAT THE "ROLLOVER" VALVE IN THE TANK WAS INDEED FAULTY. HAVE TALKED TO CHRYSLER TWICE ABOUT THIS PROBLEM BUT THEY HAVE FLATLY REFUSED ANY ASSISTANCE EVEN THOUGH THEY AGREED THAT MY CAR HAS A 19 GALLON TANK. I KNOW THAT CHRYSLER HAS ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE OVER 150K OF THESE FAULTY TANKS. MINE IS FAULTY ALSO BUT THEY WILL NOT DO ANYTHING. THIS IS A SERIOUS AND DANGEROUS SITUATION. VEHICLE DIES WHILE DRIVING AND WILE COMING TO A STOP IN TOWN. NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. NO CODES - TOOK IT IN TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND THEY DIAGNOSED A BAD FUEL TANK. THE INLET FLAPPER ON THE FUEL TANK IS DEFECTIVE ALLOWING FUEL TO OVERFLOW THE CHARCOAL CANISTER. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM AS THE 2005-2006 MODELS THAT NOW COME WITH A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON FUEL TANKS. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY ARE NOT WILLING TO WORK WITH ME TO REPLACE IT OR CONSUME SOME OF THE COSTS, AND IT IS A SAFETY ISSUE. IT HAS DIES OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF AN INTERSECTION OVER 10 TIMES AND WONT ALWAYS RE-START. SOMETIMES IT TAKES 5-10 MINUTES, AND OTHER TIMES IT STARTS RIGHT BACK UP. I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF A TURN AND THE CAR STALLED OUT AND I ALMOST HIT THE VEHICLE TO THE RIGHT OF ME. The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 300. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed and completing a turn, the contact observed that her grandson’s car seat had turned over on its side, prompting her to pull over to the shoulder of the roadway. The contact secured the car seat and became aware that the rear passenger’s seat belts failed to remain secure in the seat belt buckle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer nor an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Seatbelts have failed, malfunctioned on separate occasions throughout the years. Inspection of my vehicle is welcome for study on the seatbelts. On arrival to destinations, seatbelt or seatbelts will lock, and unable to release from the the button-press mechanism. Myself or passenger will then need to climb out of the belt from the bottom or top of restraint. Another note for safety hazards is the struggle to get back into the contraption isn’t time worthy- traveling from destinations sitting over top of seatbelts is an issue- a life or death situation. As there has not been physical altercations yet- I am concerned of the seatbelts locking and the mechanism button to unleash seatbelts fail, putting safety at risk for all passengers. The vehicle typically passes inspection, as for the malfunctions don’t happen while being inspected. There are no warnings whatsoever as to when the button click mechanism spontaneously locks into place.

I WAS TRAVELING NORTH ON I-95 AT 70 MPH IN SOUTH CAROLINA. FUEL GAUGE INDICATED 1/4 TANK OF GAS AND OVER 100 MILES TO EMPTY. THE OBD LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR SLOWED DOWN (5-10 MPH). I WAS ABLE TO ROLL IT OFF THE ROAD ONTO THE RIGHT SHOULDER. GAS GAUGE INDICATED A 1/4 TANK OF FUEL. I TURNED THE IGNITION OFF AND SAT FOR15 MINUTES. WHEN I ATTEMPTED TO START THE VEHICLE, IT ACTED AS THOUGH IT HAD NO GAS. HOWEVER, THE GAUGE SHOWED A 1/4 TANK FULL. VEHICLE WAS TOWED (AAA) TO AN EXXON STATION IN GABLE, SC. FUEL WAS ADDED TO THE TANK AND THE CAR COULD BE STARTED. THE ADDITION OF $25.00 OF FUEL (6 GALLONS?) DID NOT MOVE THE GAUGE FROM THE 1/4 TANK LEVEL. AN ADDITIONAL $25 FUELING BROUGHT THE GAUGE ALMOST UP TO FULL. I DROVE IT ROUGHLY 500 MILES FROM SC TO MD WITHOUT INCIDENT. HOWEVER, I DID NOT ALLOW FUEL LEVEL TO DROP BELOW 1/2.

I was driving at around 15 mph down a dark road when I heard a loud pop and it sounded like something hit the top of my car. I then heard crackling above me so I opened the visor to the sunroof and saw it was completely shattered so I closed the visor right before the glass started falling down. I did not report to police or insurance. I can’t afford an expensive fix like this. I know for a fact no debris hit me and there couldn’t have been a build up of cabin pressure because my driver’s side window was down when it happened. There were no warning lamps illuminated and no cracks or chips in the sunroof beforehand. I vacuumed up all the glass I could but now I don’t have protection against the rain and cannot wash my car.

THE CORROSION ON THE CARS' ALLOY WHEELS IS SUCH THAT IT IS NECESSARY TO ALWAYS CARRY A MANUAL TIRE PUMP SINCE THE CORROSION ALLOWS AIR TO ESCAPE FROM THE TIRE. I HAVE CHECKED WITH THE LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THIS WAS COMMON WITH ALLOY WHEELS WHICH ARE NOW USED TO EFFECT A WEIGHT SAVINGS. ADDITIONALLY, THE LUG NUTS HAVE A METAL (STAINLESS STEEL) PRESSED OVER THE STEEL LUG NUT TO PRESENT A MORE PLEASING APPEARANCE. UNFORTUNATELY, WATER AND ROAD SALT MIGRATE BETWEEN THE TWO METALS AND CORROSION CAUSES THE PRESSED-ON METAL TO EXPAND TO SUCH AN EXTENT THAT A TIRE SHOP HAD TO HAMMER AN OVERSIZE SOCKET ON THE LUG NUT TO BE ABLE TO REMOVE THE WHEEL FROM THE CAR. I HAVE A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. I BOUGHT IT USED ON 6/14/08. WITHIN A MONTH THAT I BOUGHT IT, THE CAR STALLED ON ME. A CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP/GARAGE WAS NOT ABLE TO FIND ANYTHING MAJOR EXCEPT THE THROTTLE HAD BUILT IN DEBRIS. EVER SINCE THAT TIME, THE CAR HAS NOT RAN SMOOTHLY. MOST OF THE TIMES, THE CAR FEELS THAT IT LOSES ENERGY/POWER WHEN I START TO DRIVE IT (LIKE WHEN I START THE ENGINE AND START DRIVING). IT ALSO MAKES A NOISE WHEN IT NEEDS TO "SHIFT" TO THE NEXT POWER (IT IS AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION). My car was parked at my house last nite and I came home to fire department at my house extinguishing my car that was engulfed in flames. The fire department said it was electrical fire. They told me they think the battery got to hot and caused the fire. The vehicle will be with progress insurance garage. For inspection. If me or my kids were in the vehicle we would of been either burnt beyond repair or dead. No warning lights at all. No noises nothing it ran perfect. My insurance progressive is taking my vehicle today or tomarrow for inspection.

MY STEERING WENT OUT IN MY 2007 CHRYSLER 300. I WAS TRAVELING SOUTH ON I-5 NEAR EXIT 165A. I THEN CALLED CHRYSLER CORPORATE AT THERE HOTLINE AND WAS ASKING ABOUT A RECALL OR WARRANTY HELP. I WENT TO THE PARTS COUNTER AND TALKED WITH THEM AND THEY SAID THIS HAPPENS REGULARLY AND WE KEEP A SUPPLY OF BALL JOINTS ON HAND BECAUSE OF THIS. I PURCHASED THE BALL JOINT FOR MY VEHICLE. I ASKED HOW MUCH TO INSTALL THE PART AND IF THERE WAS A WARRANTY ON THERE WORK. HE SAID FOR 12 MONTHS THEY WOULD WARRANTY THE PART IF THEY INSTALLED IT. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED. WE GOT INTO THE VEHICLE TO DRIVE AND THE CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF "PARK". AFTER DOING RESEARCH, AND LEARNING IT WAS AN ISSUE WITH THE PARK RELEASE BUTTON, WE WERE ABLE TO MANUALLY GET THE CAR INTO "DRIVE". THIS WAS NECESSARY BECAUSE WE WERE PARKED AT THE ER OF A HOSPITAL. SINCE WE COULDN'T PUT THE CAR IN "PARK" AND WE WEREN'T ABLE TO GET IT TO A MECHANIC RIGHT AWAY, WE WOULD PUT IT IN "NEUTRAL" AND USE THE EMERGENCY BRAKE. On August 18th, 2025 around 6:45 pm, our anti-lock break system stopped working, started smoking and caught fire. The fire came up through the engine under the hood and melted everything. There were no warning signs. Just smoke and flames. Luckily we were able to pull over and exit the vehicle. The fire was extinguished with 2 fire extinguishers. The car is a total loss.

CHECK TPM SYSTEM SHOWS ON MY DASH DISPLAY EVERY 10 MINUTES AFTER I START MY VEHICLE. THIS STARTED OCCURRING AFTER I HAD MY TIRES ROTATED. I TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THE TRIED TO DO A BATTERY DISCONNECT AFTER MULTIPLE CALLS . THEY COULD READ ALL OF THE PRESSURES BY USING THE LITTLE WAND ON EACH TIRE. AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS OF TRYING TO MAKE THEM FIX WHAT THEY BROKE, THEY SAID THAT THEY DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS AND THE WHEEL ROTATION MUST HAVE TRIGGERED SOMETHING. THEY STARTED ASKING STUPID QUESTIONS THAT THEY SAID THEY GOT FROM CONSULTING CHRYSLER LIKE "ARE YOU GOING BY A TOWER THAT COULD BE DISTRACTING YOUR SIGNAL?" I HAVE BEEN DRIVING THIS VEHICLE FOR 7 YEARS AND ALL OF A SUDDEN, I AM GETTING A SIGNAL TO DISTRACT MY SYSTEM. NOT! THEY KICKED ME TO THE CURB AND TERMINATED MY REPAIR ORDER EVEN AFTER MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS OF TALKING WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER AND GENERAL MANAGER. I CONSULTED ANOTHER TIRE SERVICE COMPANY AND THEY COULD NOT TELL WHY. I AM AT A LOSS AND VERY IRRITATED FROM THE SIGNAL EVERY CAR STARTUP. I HAVE SINCE PAID TO HAVE ANOTHER TIRE ROTATION TO SEE IF I COULD CHANGE THE WAY THE SENSORS ARE READING TO THE MAIN RELAY AND IT SEEMS TO HAVE RESOLVED THE ISSUE FOR NOW. *TR

I DROPPED OFF MY CAR TO HAVE NEW TIRES PUT ON IT. THE SHOP CALLED ME BACK AND SAID IT MAY LEAK AIR IF THEY PUT THE ORIGINAL ALUMINUM STEM BACK IN THEY DON'T CARRY CHRYSLER PARTS SO THEY SUGGESTED USING A RUBBER STEM. THEY SAID I CAN PURCHASE ONE FROM AUTO STORE AND HAVE THE DEALER OR ANOTHER SHOP INSTALL IT. WHEN I PICKED UP MY CAR THE TPMS (TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SENSOR) WAS NOT READING ONE OF THE TIRES. THEY SAID IF IT DOESN'T WORK BY THE MORNING TO BRING IT BACK IN. I BROUGHT IT BACK AND RECEIVED A CALL 4 HRS LATER STATING THEY HAD PULLED THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITOR SENSOR OUT OF THE TIRE THE DAY BEFORE AND LEFT IT IN MY CUP HOLDER. THEY STATED THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO THAT I NEED TO TAKE IT SOMEWHERE TO HAVE IT FIXED. THE SENSOR WORKS AND WORKED WHEN I BROUGHT IT IN. (THEY HAD ROTATED MY TIRES A MONTH EARLIER AND HAD NO ISSUES REPORTED AT THAT TIME) THEY INDICATED THEY WERE HAVING AN ISSUE REMOVING THE NEEDLE FROM THE VALVE STEM SO THEY DECIDED TO REMOVE THE ENTIRE SENSOR. I AM WRITING THIS BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS ILLEGAL TO REMOVE A MANDATORY SAFETY DEVICE AND GIVE ME THE CAR BACK AND TELL ME TO HAVE ANOTHER PLACE TAKE CARE OF IT. 49 USC 30122(B). *TR

MY 2007 CHRYSLER 300C HAS A LIFETIME POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. I RECEIVED THE DOCUMENT LISTING THE PARTS COVERED FOR THE LIFETIME WARRANTY. MY ABS, ESP AND TCS LIGHTS CAME ON. THE RIGHT REAR SPEED SENSOR WENT BAD. I CALLED GRAVEN AND SET UP APPOINTMENT FOR WARRANTY WORK. I ALSO CALLED CHRYSLER CORP. I BROUGHT MY CAR TO GRAVEN CHRYSLER, 10-10-11 AT APPROX. 2:30PM. GRAVEN CHRYSLER CALLED THE NEXT MORNING, 10-11-11 7:53AM MY CAR WAS READY. GRAVEN SAID IT WAS GOING TO COST $135. I SAID THAT THE WORK WAS WARRANTY. GRAVEN SAID IT WASN'T WARRANTY WORK BECAUSE PART NUMBER DOESN'T COME BACK AS WARRANTY. I EXPLAINED TO THE ASSISTANT THAT IT IS WARRANTY, THAT MY CAR HAS A LIFETIME POWERTRAIN WARRANTY. I HAD DRIVEN MY CAR HOME FROM WORK, I WAS ON THE STREET I LIVE ON AND WAITING FOR AN AMBULANCE TO CLEAR THE ENTRANCE TO MY DRIVE WAY SO I COULD PARK. I PUT MY CAR IN PARK AT THE DIRECTION OF THE EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM, ONCE THE EMERGENCY VEHICLE HAD CLEARED THE ENTRANCE I WAS UNABLE TO SHIFT MY CAR BACK IN TO DRIVE, OR REVERSE. IT WAS STUCK IN THE PARK POSITION. I HAD TO CALL A TOW TRUCK TO MOVE MY VEHICLE FROM THE ROAD IN ORDER NOT TO BLOCK TRAFFIC, I WAS ALSO SLIGHTLY IN THE LANE OF ON COMING TRAFFIC DUE TO THE PLACEMENT OF THE EMERGENCY VEHICLES AT THE TIME (I LIVE IN AN ASSISTED LIVING FACILITY, IT IS NORMAL FOR THE EMERGENCY VEHICLES TO BE PRESENT ON AND AROUND THE PROPERTY AND THEY OFTEN DIRECT OTHER VEHICLES OUTSIDE OF THE NORMAL FLOW OF TRAFFIC.) This vehicle was involved in a tragic car accident. The passengers both suffered deep laceration to the skull and other vital parts of the body. There was a recall notice that was sent to the owner 4 months after the fatal accident had occurred. Based on police inspection of the vehicle, they’ve determined there was mechanical failure to the vehicle which can be seen through a police bodycam at the police impound lot. The front passenger suffered a 6 inch deep cut to the skull according to the medical examiner’s report. The child in the rear also suffered a deep laceration to the ankle and foot despite being restrained in a child seat. Driver suffered a graze cut to the side of his head and survived the tragic accident after recovering from a coma he stated that the brakes did not function properly when depressed moments prior to the accident. Data recorder from the vehicle shows the driver was depressing the brake pedal the entirety of the time up to the moment of impact. This vehicle was t-boned by an suv, and this accident should have been survivable, however the passenger seat looks to be torn out of its brackets according to the pictures from the accident scene. I am requesting this vehicle be investigated as there are many vehicles similar to this one that could have dangerous defects which were outlined in the safety recall notice that was mailed to the owner. The safety recall did mention to stop driving this vehicle immediately, however this notice did not arrive in a timely manner to where anyone could have taken action immediately. I am requesting that this vehicle be inspected for not only the safety of the community it’s but for identifying why two people lost their lives due to a manufacture failure that could have been prevented if notification was sent in a timely manner. Unknown, but based on what I've read and seen others describe happen to them I would say it's somehow connected to the park assist. But my battery loses voltage while driving, the car will start blowing hot or cold air which ever it prefers at the time without any heating or cooling system being turned on, the dash goes crazy the rpms, speedometer and everything else will drop to zero the transmission will start jerking and the service park assist warning will flash on and off repeatedly very fast then the car died while driving on the highway and refused to start even with a jump start. Replaced the battery twice in 2 weeks and the alternator as well and the car continues to do this randomly. No codes show up but the abs light, esp bas lights are on, the brake light will come on every now and then without the brake being pressed and the car seriously just seems to have a mind of it's own.

I have 130k mileage on my Chrysler 300 2007 model. For about 3months, I’ve been experiencing fuel leaks from the bottom rear corner of the driver side just directly beneath my fuel tank, which also makes both the exterior and interior of the car smell of gas. I took the car for maintenance and the fuel tank seals were replaced after my fuel pump was changed. There was no visible fuel spill after the rear seats were removed and inspected but there was constant droplets of fuel from beneath the rear left side of the car. I don’t know what else to do and what can cause this?.. besides, whenever I put fuel in my tank, I can smell fuel coming from the AC vents. Also, my airbag warning light has been on for a long time on my dashboard. Help!!!

THE VEHICLE HAS HAD TWO OWNERS IN THE SAME FAMILY AND HAS VERY LOW MILEAGE (66000). THE ISSUE BEGAN IN OCTOBER OF 2018. WHILE DRIVING ON CITY STREETS AT 40 MPH THE INDICATORS ON THE DASH BEGAN FLICKERING AND MAKING NOISE. THIS CONTINUED INTERMITTENTLY FOR THREE MONTHS BUT COULD NOT BE REPLICATED AT AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC. THEN IN JANUARY OF 2019 WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AT 65 MPH THE SAME ISSUE HAPPENED EXCEPT THIS TIME THERE THE SPEEDOMETER WENT TO 0 BUT THE CAR COULD STILL BE OPERATED. THE CAR WAS TAKEN INTO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO ATTEMPTED TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE FOR OVER A MONTH BUT HAD NO LUCK. AS INSTRUCTED BY THE MECHANIC THE CAR WAS BROUGHT TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE IT WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW IN 2006. THE DEALERSHIP KEPT THE CAR FOR 6 DAYS IN FEBRUARY OF 2019 AND COULD NOT DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE, CHARGING THE OWNER A $240 FEE FOR NOTHING. AS SOON AS THE OWNER LEFT THE DEALERSHIP THE CAR AGAIN EXPERIENCED THE SAME ISSUE WHILE DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. THE CAR WAS BROUGHT IMMEDIATELY TO THE OWNERS PERSONAL MECHANIC WHO HAS HAD THE CAR EVER SINCE. THE MECHANIC HAS SINCE BROUGHT THE CAR TO ANOTHER DODGE/CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP IN TOWN WHO CHARGED AN ADDITIONAL $600 ENDING IN NO DIAGNOSIS. THE CAR IS UNABLE TO PASS SMOG AS NOW THE PROBLEM OCCURS MORE FREQUENTLY AND IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE. MY CAR WILL OUTRIGHT JUST STOP FOR NO REASON. I WILL SIT AT A LIGHT AND THE RPM GUAGE WILL START GOING OUT OF CONTROL AND THE CAR WILL REV ON ITS OWN. THEN I WILL START DRIVING AND TI WILL BE FIND UNTIL I GO TO PRESS ON THE BRAKES. THEN THE WHOLE CAR WILL CUT OUT. I'M ABLE TO GET IT TO TURN OVER AGAIN AFTER TWO OR THREE EFFORTS OF TURNING THE KEY AND PUMPING THE BRAKE. IT HAS ONCE DONE IT WITH MY DAUGHTER IN THE CAR, WHICH I AM NOT OKAY WITH. ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE RIGHT SIDE (TRACTION, ABS, ETC) CAME ON AND THEN DISAPPEARED ONCE IT STARTED RUNNING OKAY AGAIN. I HAD MY FUEL PUMP REPLACED TWICE THINKING THAT WAS THE ISSUE AND IT WAS NOT. I BOUGHT THIS 2007 CHRYSLER 300 IN 2008. IT HAD APPROXIMATELY 86,000 MILES ON IT. BEFORE IT REACHED 100,000 MILES THE PROBLEMS HAD ALREADY STARTED. FIRST THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS AND ANOTHER LIGHT LOCATED ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF MY PANEL CAME ON. MY CAR WAS LOCKING ME OUT AT ANY MOMENT. FIRST I THOUGHT IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN MY FAULT BUT IT HAPPENED TWICE TO ME WHILE MY CAR WAS RUNNING AND MY KEYS IN THE IGNITION!! I PARKED MY CAR AT A CVS PHARMACY DRIVE THRU TO PICK UP A PRESCRIPTION. ONCE THE TRANSACTION WAS COMPLETED I ATTEMPTED TO LEAVE THE AREA AND THE GEAR WOULD NOT MOVE FROM THE PARK POSITION. I CALLED AAA (KEYSTONE) FOR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE TO MOVE MY CAR. UPON ARRIVAL TO MY CAR THE AAA FLEET DRIVER INFORMED ME THAT THE PROBLEM SEEMS COMMON WITH CHRYSLER-MADE VEHICLES RECENTLY. HE EXPLAINED TO ME THAT MY OVERRIDE BUTTON WAS BROKEN AND DID NOT WORK, THEN HE SHOWED ME HOW TO REMOVE THE GEAR SHAFT COVER TO ACCESS THE BACK UP OVERRIDE - THE GEAR RELEASE BUTTON. HE NOTED THAT HE JUST ASSISTED A DODGE CHARGER OWNER WITH THE SAME PROBLEM AND RECOMMENDED I CHECK FOR ANY RECALL DATA FOR THIS ONGOING CHRYSLER PROBLEM. I IMMEDIATELY CHECKED ONLINE TO LEARN THAT THERE IS A K39 RECALL FOR THE GEAR SHAFT OF 2005-2007 MODELS OF THE CHRYSLER 300. I CALLED THE NEAREST DEALER FOR AN APPOINTMENT TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE. ONCE I ARRIVED AT THE DEALER, I WAS TOLD THAT MY VIN NUMBER DID NOT FIT THE RECALL REQUIREMENTS AND TOLD THAT I MUST PAY TO FIX THE PART OUT OF POCKET. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO REPAIRED THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM AS IT WAS DAMAGED DUE TO THE WATER. THE FAILURE OCCURRED AGAIN. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 84,032. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 40,000.

I PURCHASED A CHRYSLER 300 ON 11/19/09. I HAD AN ACCIDENT ON 12/10/09. I HAVE LEARNED SINCE THE ACCIDENT, THERE WAS A RECALL ON THIS MODEL CONCERNING THE ANTILOCK BRAKE SYSTEM. SINCE WE PURCHASED USED, I DON'T KNOW IF THIS WAS EVER CORRECTED ON OUR VEHICLE. THE ABS LIGHTS STAYS ON AND MECHANICS SAYS IT IS NOT DANGEROUS, JUST THE CRUISE WANT WORK. WE HAVE CARRIED THIS CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP SEVERAL TIMES AND SPENT OVER $2,000. ON REPAIRS AND NOW THEY TELL US IT CAN'T BE FIXED AND WE ARE AFRAID TO DRIVE THE CAR EVEN THOUGH THEY SAY IT IS O.K. MY 2007 CHRYSLER 300 BASE MODEL HAS A DEFECT WHERE I GET STUCK IN PARK AND CANNOT GET OUT OF THIS POSITION ON MY SHIFT PANEL. I CONTACTED MY DEALERSHIP AND THEY EXPLAINED TO ME THAT ITS A SMALL CHEAP PLASTIC PART THAT BROKEN OFF AND DISENGAGED MY SHIFT CONTROLS. NOW I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED IN PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE AND WILL NEVER BUY ANY DODGE MAKE EVER BECAUSE OF THIS. I WOULD LIKE THERE TO BE A RECALL ON ALL THESE KINDS OF MAKES SO I WOULD BE STUCK WITH A $200 PROBLEM THAT CAN JUST DECIDE TO COME OUT OF NOWHERE. WE HAD PURCHASED A CHRSYLER 300 IN JAN 20,2007 WE GOT THE CAR WITH ONLY 42 MILES ON THE CAR SINCE 2007 THE CAR HAD BEEN IN THE SHOP OF THE DEALERSHIP FOUR TIMES. IN MAY OF 2007 WE TOOK THE CAR IN CAUSE THE A/C WAS NOT COOLING AT ALL. THE DEALERSHIP TOLD US THAT WE NEEDED A BRAND NEW A/C COMPRESSOR SO WE SAID OK BUT WHEN THEY FIXED IT WE HAD TO PAY 650 DOLLARS CAUSE OUR WARRANTY WOULD NOT COVER IT SO WE SAID WHAT ABOUT THE FACTORY WARRANTY THEY SAID NO ALSO SO THAT ONE WAS TIME. SECOND ONE WAS IN 2008 SHIFTER CABLE BUSTED AND THE DEALER SHIP TOLD US THAT THE CABLE GOT HOT AND IT BUSTED OK WE DIDN'T PAY FOR THAT BUT WE HAD TO PAY FOR THE NEW SHIFTER THEY INSTALLED CAUSE THEY SAID THAT THE SHIFTER WAS BROKEN I THINK THEY BROKE IT CAUSE IT WAS FIND WHEN WE HAD IT. THIRD ONE WAS IN 2009 THE CARS COMPUTER WENT OUT AND THE DEALERSHIP DOESN'T KNOW WHY BUT THAT IT HAD CAUGHT ON FIRE SO WE JUST PAID OUR DEDUCTIBLE SO I WAS OK WITH THAT. SO I REMEMBER TELLING MY WIFE LETS SEE WHAT GOES WRONG WITH THE CAR IN 2010. BUT THIS WAS THE WORST COMING HOME FROM DRIVING ABOUT 50 MPH AND THE CAR SHUTS OFF AND THE BRAKES LOCK IN PLACE BUT LUCKY I WAS ALONE AND NOT WITH MY FAMILY. SO I CALLED A WRECKER TO GIVE ME A BOOST BUT THEY COULDN'T START THE CAR SO WE TOOK IT BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP COMES TO FIND OUT WE HAVE A BLOWN MOTOR AND THEY SAID IT WAS CAUSED BY NOT DOING OIL CHANGES HOW AN THAT BE IF WE BRING IT HERE TO GET THE OIL CHANGES SO HE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY BUT IM ALREADY 61000 MILES AND MY WARRANTY PEOPLE OLD REPUBLIC DON'T WANT TO FIX SO WE SAW THE MOTOR AND IT WAS CRACKED IN HALF SO OUR FAMILY MECHANIC SAID THAT THE METAL SHAVINGS WAS DUE TO THE OIL PUMP WENT BAD SO NOBODY WANTS TO FIX BUT IT WOULD COST ABOUT 8000 DOLLARS FOR A NEW MOTOR SO PEOPLE CAREFUL ON WHAT U BUY. *TR

VEHICLE APPEARS TO HAVE A FAULTY ESP (ASSUME IT STOOD FOR EMERGENCY SKID PROTECTION) OR ANTI-LOCK BRAKE SYSTEM. THE CAR WILL SLID ON MINOR DOWNWARD SLOPS WHEN SNOW IS ON THE GROUND EVEN WHEN MOVING AT A VERY SLOW SPEED (10-20MPH). IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE MUCH SNOW ON THE GROUND EITHER FOR THIS TO OCCUR. IT OCCURS ALSO RATHER THE ESP FEATURE IS ON OR OFF. THE BRAKES FEEL LIKE THEY ARE PUMPING THEMSELVES AND HAVE A GRINDING SOUND WHEN PRESSED ON. I AM UNABLE TO CONTROL THE CAR FROM SLIDING OR SHIFTING. IT ONCE SLID INTO AN INTERSECTION. ANOTHER TIME DURING A SLIDE ON A VERY MINOR SLOP, HAD IT NOT BEEN FOR THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME BEING AT LEAST 2-3 CAR LENGTHS AHEAD OF ME, I WOULD HAVE SLID RIGHT INTO THE BACK OF IT. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO KEYSTONE CHRYSLER WHERE I PURCHASED IT. THEY RAN A DIAGNOSTICS ON IT BUT INDICATED THAT NOTHING SHOWED UP. HOWEVER, THEY REFUSE TO ACTUALLY DRIVE THE CAR IN SNOW CONDITIONS TO SEE WHAT I AM EXPERIENCING AND IS REPORTING. I AM UNCOMFORTABLE AND EXTREMELY FEARFUL TO DRIVE THE CAR ANY LONGER IN SNOW LIKE CONDITIONS. I HAVE A TRUCK WHICH I DRIVE THE MAJORITY OF THE WINTER MONTHS WHICH IS WHY THIS WAS NOT DETECTED SOONER. ADDITIONALLY, THE CAR SHIFTS WHEN ENCOUNTERING BUMPS IN THE ROAD, ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE GOING IN A DOWNWARD DIRECTION AND BRAKES ARE BEING APPLIED. THIS OCCURS DURING WET OR DRY CONDITIONS. *TR

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER 300. IMMEDIATELY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE SHE NOTICED THAT THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE WOULD SWERVE BACK AND FORTH. SHE ALSO NOTICED A GRINDING AND SQUEAKING SOUND IN THE REAR BRAKE AREA. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER ON THREE OCCASIONS REGARDING THE SWERVING IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE AND LATER DUE TO THE BRAKES. THE MECHANIC INFORMED HER THAT THEY COULD NOT FIND A DEFECT REGARDING THE SWERVING IN THE REAR AND THEY WOULD RE-ALIGN AND ROTATE THE TIRES. HE ALSO INFORMED HER THAT THE BRAKE PADS WERE WORN AND THE VEHICLE NEEDED NEW ROTORS. THE REPAIRS WERE PERFORMED ON THE VEHICLE; HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO SWERVE BACK AND FORTH. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED. SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS ARE AVAILABLE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 36,255.

I PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2007 CHRYSLER 300L IN JUNE 2008 WITH 127 MILES MY CAR HAS BEEN TO SERVICE 7 TIMES FOR NUMEROUS REASONS. FIRST IN JUNE MY SUNROOF WOULD NOT CLOSE TOOK IT IN I WAS TOLD FUSE WAS BAD ALSO TOOK IT BACK IN 12-2008 COLD AIR WAS COMING THRU WAS TOLD SUNROOF WAS MISALIGNED. 7-2008 ONLY HAD 1800 MILES CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON WAS TOLD INTAKE MANIFOLD TUNING VALVE FAILURE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME IN AGAIN IN 12-2008(7K MILES) TOOK TO SERVICE WAS TOLD TRANSMISSION LEAK FAULT REPLACED ADAPTER LEFT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT 10 MINS LATER CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN I IMMEDIATELY CALLED & ASKED TO SPEAK WITH THE SERVICE MANAGER & I TOOK MY VEHICLE BACK THE NEXT DAY WHICH I WAS TOLD THEY FOUND NO PROBLEM WHY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED & FOUND NO PROBLEM STORED CODE FOR SHORT RUNNER VALVE CONTROL TO RESET CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. BEEN HAVING CONSTANT PROBLEMS WITH BRAKES GRINDING & SQUEAKING SINCE 2K MILES TOOK CAR TO SERVICE IN 8-2008 (3K MILES)COMPLAINING OF BRAKES WAS TOLD FOUND NO PROBLEM BRAKES WERE AT 95% FRONT & REAR PADS STILL HEARD BRAKES NOISE COMPLAINED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE & TOOK CAR BACK TO SERVICE IN 9-2008 WENT FOR TEST RIDE WITH SERVICE MANAGER HE STATED IT WAS MY FRONT PADS BROUGHT CAR BACK THEY CHANGED MY FRONT PADS(4K MILES). I PURCHASED A 2007 CHRYSLER 300 IN 6/2/07 AS A DEMO MODEL WITH 954 MILES ON IT. ON THE WAY HOME FROM THE DEALERSHIP I NOTICED A ROUGH IDLE AND ALSO A VIBRATION IN MY FRONT END WHILE MAINTAINING SPEEDS AT AROUND 45 MPH. I HAD TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN FOR SERVICE ON 06/11/07 AND IT TOOK UNTIL 6/21/07 TO GET IT BACK. THE FRONT END VIBRATION WAS CAUSED BY A BAD TORQUE CONVERTER, HOWEVER ONCE DRIVING MY VEHICLE I NOTICED THE ROUGH IDLE HADN'T BEEN REPAIRED. THEN ON 5 SEPARATE OCCASIONS WHEN GOING FROM A COMPLETE STOP ACCELERATING TO GET UP TO SPEED, WHEN THE VEHICLE SHOULD BE GOING FROM 1ST TO SECOND GEAR THE ENGINE JUST WINES AND IT TAKES APPROX 10-15 SECONDS TO KICK INTO GEAR, MAKING IT EXTREMELY DANGEROUS ESPECIALLY WHEN MERGING INTO TRAFFIC. I TURNED IT BACK IN FOR SERVICE ON 6/3/07 AND AS OF TODAY THEY STILL DON'T KNOW WHAT THE PROBLEM IS. THEY HAVE HAD A FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER FROM CHRYSLER COME IN TO LOOK AT IT AND HE DOESN'T KNOW EITHER. *TR
