The contact stated that the vehicle was repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V567000 (Electrical System); however, the repair failed to prevent a failure from occurring. The contact stated that several days after the recall repair was completed, the contact had to adjust the ignition switch to start the vehicle. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 68,000.

The contact’s friend owns a 2008 Chrysler 300C. The contact stated that while his friend was starting the vehicle, there was an abnormal burning odor entering the vehicle through the vents. The contact was informed that there was an unknown warning illuminated. The contact’s friend was no longer able to start the vehicle. Additionally, the key fob was not able to unlock the doors. The contact stated that the key fob battery was replaced; however, the vehicle was no longer starting. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a local dealer or independent mechanic. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V567000 (Electrical System) however, the VIN was not included. The failure mileage was approximately 160,000.

The contact owns a 2008 Chrysler 300C. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, the vehicle lost motive power without warning. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to the residence. The contact stated that an independent mechanic was unable to determine the cause of the failure; however, the mechanic stated that the failure could be related to the ignition switch. The contact stated that the vehicle was able to start intermittently; however, the contact stopped driving the vehicle due to a fear that the failure might recur while driving with his family. The contract stated that the vehicle was serviced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V567000 (Electrical System) in 2020. The dealer was contacted and stated that he had to pay for a diagnostic test and repair since the vehicle was previously repaired under the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 186,145.

THE DEALER CHANGED THE IGNITION SWITCH PER THE RECALL 14V567000 FOR THE VEHICLE ABOUT 2-3 YEARS AGO FOR A DIFFERENT ISSUE WITH THE SWITCH. MY DAUGHTER WAS DRIVING THE CAR ABOUT WEEK AGO JULY 30, 2020, SHE SAID SHE WAS AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT ON A BUSY STREET (LINCOLN HIGHWAY) IN CHICAGO HEIGHTS IL AND WHEN IT TURN GREEN SHE ATTEMPTED TO GO AND THE VEHICLE CUTOFF AND WOULD NOT START BACK UP. I ARRIVED TO HER LOCATION. ANOTHER DRIVER HAD PUSHED HER INTO A PARKING LOT TO GET HER OUT OF THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY, I TRIED TO START THE CAR AND IT WOULD NOT CATCH. IT WOULD CRANK PUT NOT TURN OVER, I HAD TO GET IT TOWED HOME. AFTER SOME TESTING OF COMPONENTS, SPARK, GAS PRESSURE AND FUEL PUMP IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH A BAD IGNITION SWITCH WITH A P2533 CODE THAT STATED THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE IGNITION SWITCH RUN POSITION SIGNAL. THIS IS A VERY TROUBLING EVENT SINCE MY RECENTLY TURN 18 DAUGHTER HAS NO EXPERIENCE WITH THIS SORT OF THING AND THANKFULLY THERE WAS NO ACCIDENT OR PHYSICAL HARM DONE. I SPOKEN WITH A PERSON AT A CHRYLSER DEALERSHIP SERVICE DEPARTMENT ABOUT MANUFACTURER COVERAGE BUT SHE DID NOT HAVE A CLUE AND TRANSFERRED MY CALL TO THE PARTS DEPARTMENT THAT STATED IT MIGHT RUN $800- 1,000.00 TO REPLACE THE SWITCH.

Dealer is unable to order the recalled air bag. I had it in to be fixed a month ago, verified with dealer they had the part before I made the appointment. Took it in and they advised it is on backorder. Called 1q/10 and they advised they are NOT ALLOWED to order the part. What am I supposed to do?

While stopped at a stop light, one of the radiator cooling fans (plastic) disintegrated, severely damaging the radiator beyond repair. Engine coolant was quickly lost. We pulled off to the side of the road. We had to replace the cooling fans and radiator.

CHRYSLER ISSUED A CSN (CUSTOMER SERVICE NOTICE) THAT THIS MAY HAPPEN, BUT NO SAFETY RECALL ISSUED.

WE DROVE THE CAR TO GEORGIA FROM MISSISSIPPI. AS WE PULLED IN THE DRIVEWAY WE HEARD A LOUD NOISE AS SOMETHING WAS CRUMBLING. WE SHUT THE VEHICLE OFF AND NOTICED COOLANT ALL OVER THE GROUND. WE CALLED A MECHANIC AND HE SAID THE FAN TORE UP AND CAUSED THE BLADES TO PUNCTURE HOLES INTO THE RADIATOR. IT WAS FIXED AND AS WE BEGAN TO LEAVE WE WENT ABOUT5-10 DOWN THE ROAD AND THE CAR MADE A LOUD SOUND WE SHUT IT OFF INSTANTLY AND ADDED COOLANT HOWEVER THE CAR WOULD NOT START AGAIN. TRIED BOOSTING IT OFF AND IT STILL WON'T START. WE ARE BEING TOLD THE ENGINE SEIZED. WE HAD NO WARNING LIGHTS COME ON . CAR DROVE LIKE A PERFECT CAR. THEY DID SAY THE OIL WAS 1/2 QUART LOW. MY 2008 CHRYSLER 300C SRT DESIGN WITH THE 5.7 HEMI DROPPED A VALVE SEAT AND BROKE THE #6 PISTON WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. I KNOW THIS PROBLEM USUALLY HAPPENS ON SHORT DRIVING DISTANCES BUT HERE IS THAT ONE OCCURRENCE WHERE IT HAPPENED WHEN ENGINE WAS AT FULL OPERATING TEMPERATURE. IT STARTING MISS FIRING WHILE DRIVING AND BY THE TIME WE COULD GET TO THE SHOULDER TO STOP IT WAS BLOWING SMOKE LIKE CRAZY. THE CAR HAD 127,000 MILES ON IT BUT TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS IT WASN'T FROM LACK MAINTENANCE. I LOVE CARS AND TAKE EXTREMELY WELL CARE OF MINE. WHEN I PULLED THE VALVE COVER TO REMOVE THE HEAD IT WAS SO CLEAN IN THE VALVE TRAIN THAT EVEN MY FRIEND WHO IS TRIPLE MASTER ASE CERTIFIED MECHANIC SAID, " [XXX] THAT'S ONE OF CLEANEST ENGINES HE HAD EVER SEEN. AFTER EXTENSIVE RESEARCH I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT MANY DODGE AND CHRYSLER VEHICLE OWNERS HAVE HAD THE VERY SAME ISSUE, MAYBE JUST ANOTHER CYLINDER WHERE VALVE SEATS HAVE JUST DROPPED. TO MY UNDERSTANDING IT'S THE CHOICE IN MATERIAL THEY USED IN THE SEAT ITSELF AND THEN PRESSING IT INTO AN ALUMINUM HEAD IS WHERE THE PROBLEM LIES. DIFFERENT METALS HAVE DIFFERENT REACTIONS TO HEAT WHERE ONE METAL SUCH AS ALUMINUM WILL HEAT FASTER THAN THEN THE METAL USED IN THE VALVE SEAT. CAUSING VALVE SEATS TO COME LOOSE AND DROP INTO THE CYLINDER CHAMBER CAUSING CATASTROPHIC FAILURE IN ENGINES. HOW CAN THIS NOT BE RECALLED BY THE MANUFACTURER WHEN IT IS CLEARLY A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. I'M STILL MAKING PAYMENTS ON THIS CAR AND NOW I'M LOOKING AT $5000.00 TO GET A REMANUFACTURED LONG BLOCK AND THEN PAYING TO HAVE IT INSTALLED. I FEEL THE CHRYSLER CORPORATION SHOULD BE HELD LIABLE FOR VEHICLES THAT HAVE DROPPED VALVE SEATS. THERE'S NO WARNING AS TO WHEN IT WILL HAPPEN BUT REST ASSURED IF YOU OWN A 2003 TO 2008 5.7 HEMI CHANCES ARE IT WILL HAPPEN TO YOU TOO. I WANT WHAT'S FAIR AND THAT'S TO BE REIMBURSED FOR COST OF A NEW ENGINE. I HAVE A 2008 CHRYSLER 300 AND CHRYSLER HAS STOPPED PROVIDING UPDATES TO THE NAVIGATION SYSTEM IN 2018. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AS THE NAVIGATOR PROVIDES PROMPT TO TURN ON THE ROAD WHICH NO LONGER EXIST AS WELL AS TRAVELING ON HIGHWAYS WHICH ARE SHOWN TO BE IN THE MIDDLE OF A FOREST OR SWAMP.

THE FLOOR SHIFTER IS HANGING IN PARK AFTER I HAVE PLACED THE VEHICLE IN PARK AND TURNED THE ENGINE OFF. WHEN I GET BACK IN THE CAR AND START IT UP, I CAN NOT GET IT OUT OF PARK. THIS IS THE SAME PROBLEM / RECALL ASSOCIATED WITH CHRYSLER SATISFACTION NOTIFICATION K39 FOR THE 2005-2007 MODELS.

GETTING OFF OF THE BELTWAY AND THE CAR STOPPED. LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO PULL ON THE SIDE AND RESTART THE CAR. IT HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST FOUR OTHER TIMES. ONCE PULLING OUT OF A GAS STATION INTO TRAFFIC, SITTING AT A RED LIGHT AND DRIVING ABOUT 30 MILES AN HOUR ON A RESIDENTIAL ROAD. THIS IS NOT SAFE. CHRYSLER HAS ISSUED A RECALL WITH NO PART ON HAND YET TO FIX THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND MEANWHILE AN 82 YEAR OLD WOMAN HAS TO DRIVE HER CAR NEVER KNOWING WHEN IT WILL JUST SHUT DOWN. CHRYSLER IS MAKING NO ATTEMPT AT OFFERING RENTAL CARS OR AS I SEE IT GETTING THE PART TO THE DEALERS TO FIX IT. WHY SHOULD THE OWNER INCUR RENTAL FEES BECAUSE THIS CAR IS COMPLETELY UNSAFE TO DRIVE.? I WOULD LIKE SOME ANSWERS AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. HEATER CORE BLEW IN THE CAR. FORTUNATELY, THE CAR WAS PARKED WHEN IT HAPPENED, BUT IF I'D STILL BEEN DRIVING, THE FLUID THAT DISPELLED WOULD HAVE BURNT MY LEGS AND FEET AS I WAS WEARING SHORTS AND FLIP-FLOPS. THIS INCIDENT WAS FURTHER EXASPERATED BY THE FACT THAT THE CAR HAD BEEN IN & OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP (PRESTIGE IN LAS VEGAS) MARCH, APRIL, MAY & JUNE OF 2014 FOR SEVERAL ISSUES AND A LOT OF THEM HAD SOMETHING TO DO WITH TEMPERATURE SENSORS, GAUGES, WATER LEAKAGE, ETC. I FOUND IT DIFFICULT TO UNDERSTAND HOW IT COULD NOT HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO HAVE A PROBLEM WITH ALL THAT HAD HAPPENED WITH THE CAR DURING THOSE TIMES. AT ONE POINT, THEY HAD MY CAR FOR 33 DAYS TRYING TO FIND THE PROBLEM!! HAVING THE HEATING CORE WHERE IT IS AND HAVING IT BLOW THE HOT FLUID OUT ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE FROM UNDER THE DASH IS THE MOST LUDICROUS THING I'VE EVER HEARD. WE HAVE 5 CHRYSLER 300'S USED FOR TRANSPORTING OUR RESIDENTS IN AND AROUND OUR COMMUNITY 4 OUT OF 5 OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE. THE COOLING SYSTEM FAN BLADES COME APART AND THE SHROUDS OF THE FAN GO THRU THE RADIATOR CAUSING IMMEDIATE LEAKAGE OF ALL COOLANT AND DESTROYING THE RADIATOR. AS OF DATE 4/30/12 CHRYSLER/DODGE HAS YET TO RECALL THIS DEFECT AND IS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A PROBLEM WITH THIS YEAR, MODEL AND NEEDS TO RECALLED ON THE 300'S AND THE DODGE CHARGERS. *JS

There is a fuel smell in the car, for the first 1/4 tank of gas. The smell is really bad in the back seat. After the car is under 1/2 tank the fuel odor begins to subside. Passengers in car begin to have headaches and upset stomachs. After veiwing other chrysler forum's - I believe this to be common with this style of car and an extreme Safety issue

PURCHASED 2008 CHRYSLER 300C ABOUT A MONTH AGO. INTERIOR HAS ODOR OF GASOLINE. I GOOGLED AND READ ABOUT THE ISSUE. SEEMS IT IS NOT UNCOMMON AND SOME FOLKS HAVE FOUND CRACKED PUMP OR A NEED FOR REPLACING THE SEAL OF PUMP. I DON'T SEE ANY FUEL SITTING ON TOP WHEN I PULL UP THE REAR SEAT. USUALLY SMELL AFTER CAR SITS FOR AWHILE THEN SEEMS TO DISSIPATE WHILE DRIVING.. COULD IT BE SOMETHING ELSE IN ENGINE? THIS IS AN EVERYDAY OCCURRENCE WITH THE ODOR.

SINCE PURCHASING MY NEW 2008 CHRYSLER 300, I HAVE HAD DIFFICULTY KEEPING THE INTERIOR WINDOWS CLEAR FROM CONDENSATION. THIS IS A BIG PROBLEM WHEN IT IS RAINING OR COLD/SNOWING. I HAVE TRIED VARIOUS SETTINGS OF THE CLIMATE CONTROL INCLUDING MAKING SURE IT IS TAKING IN OUTSIDE AIR VS RECIRCULATING, SETTING THE TEMP AT HOT, COLD, MEDIUM, DEFROST, AC, ETC. WHILE COMING TO A CONTROLLED STOP AT AN INTERSECTION W.4TH ST & TRIMBLE RD MANSFIELD, OHIO THERE WAS A SIGNIFICANT BANG AND A SHARP CHANGE IN THE CARS DYNAMIC. I HAD BEEN COMPLAINING FOR TWO YEARS ABOUT A TICKING SOUND IN THE ENGINE. I WAS TOLD BY GINN CHRYSLER THAT IT WAS NOTHING. THE VEHICLE USED TO TRY TO CUT OFF WHILE RUNNING. FINALLY, ON MOTHER'S DAY (2010) JUST LEAVING HARD ROCK HOLLYWOOD CASINO WHILE DRIVING ON THE FLORIDA TURNPIKE AT APPROX. 70 MPH; THE ENGINE COMPLETELY CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF HEAVY THRUWAY TRAFFIC. WE WERE LUCKY ENOUGH TO BE CLOSE TO AN OFF RAMP AND COASTED TO A STOP ON THE SHOULDER OF THE EXIT RAMP.. WE HAD TO REMAIN THERE FOR 3 HOURS UNTIL SOMEONE WAS KIND ENOUGH TO PICK US UP AND TAKE US HOME. MY 83 YEAR OLD MOTHER-IN-LAW HAD TO STAND UP FOR A FEW HOURS UNTIL WE WERE PICKED-UP. I REPORTED THIS TO MASSEY AND DADELAND CHRYSLER AND WAS FINALLY TOLD AFTER A FREE 24 POINT INSPECTION DURING A OIL CHANGE THAT IT WAS THE TIPM. NOW, ON 11/20/2014, I WAS TOLD THAT IT WAS THE FOBIK IN A RECALL LETTER. AFTER BEING TOLD OF THE NUMEROUS SAFETY PROBLEMS, I COULD NOT DRIVE THE CAR FOR FEAR OF HARMING THE PUBLIC OR MYSELF AND MY PASSENGERS. I CANNOT DRIVE THIS VEHICLE UNTIL IT IS REPAIRED. THE LENGTH OF THE WEBBING ON THE BUCKLE STALK IS TOO LONG TO PROPERLY INSTALL A CAR SEAT. AN APPROVED METHOD TO PROPERLY INSTALL A CAR SEAT IN THIS SITUATION IS TO TWIST THE BUCKLE. FOR THE LAST FEW YEARS THE INTERIOR WINDOWS FOG UP REAL BAD WHEN IT GETS BELOW 32 DEGREES. I HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY CHRYSLER 300, 2008 MODEL WITH MY ENGINE SHUTTING OFF COMPLETELY WHILE DRIVING. SINCE 2012, IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE ON THE FREEWAY, ONCE AT A STOP LIGHT, AND AT LEAST 8 OR 9 TIMES WHERE IT REFUSES TO START THE CAR. I TOOK IT IN TO MY CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP WHERE I BOUGHT THE CAR BRAND NEW (80 MILES, COMING IN FROM ORLANDO, I WAS TOLD) IN 2008. THEY INFORMED ME THAT THE PROBLEM WAS THE TIPM (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE), AND I HAD TO PAY $597 FOR THE REPAIR. WHEN MY CAR SHUT OFF ALL BY ITSELF INT HE MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY, I HAD ONCOMING TRAFFIC, AND HAD TO MAKE A QUICK SWERVE ONTO THE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY (SHOULDER) AS QUICKLY AS I COULD WHILE THE TIRES WERE STILL MOVING IN ORDER TO STAY SAFE. THAT WAS SIMPLY DANGEROUS AND WOULD HATE TO SEE OTHERS WHO PERHAPS MAY HAVE CHILDREN IN THEIR CAR GO THROUGH THE SAME EXPERIENCE. ON APRIL 7, 2015 I HAD TROUBLE STARTING MY CAR. I THOUGHT IT WAS THE STARTER AND TOOK THE CAR TO MY LOCAL SERVICE STATION WHERE MY CAR "DIED". THEY EVALUATED THE CAR AND TOLD ME IT WAS THE KEY AND WINS COMPONENT. ON APRIL 8, THE SERVICE STATION MANAGER CALLED ME TO SAY THAT THE LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP DID NOT KNOW WHEN THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO GET THE PART, SO I RENTED A CAR. ON APRIL 17, I WAS ADVISED TO CALL CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE. I NOW HAD A CASE NUMBER AND WAS TOLD MY ISSUE WOULD BE EXPEDITED BUT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE IN THE USA. ON APRIL 27, I WROTE TO THE PRESIDENT AND VP OF CHRYSLER CORPORATION ASKING FOR THEIR HELP. ON MAY 6, I RECEIVED A CALL FROM MIKE AT CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS SAYING THE PART WOULD BE HERE ON MAY 13 (IT WASN'T) AND CHRYSLER WOULD PAY FOR MY CAR RENTAL (WHICH THEY DID). ON MAY 26, I WAS TOLD THAT THE KEYS WERE IN BUT NOT THE WINS COMPONENT - THAT MIGHT NOT BE READY UNTIL JULY. LATER THAT DAY, MY CAR WAS FIXED !! BUT WITH JEEP PARTS. IT COST ME OVER $1200; THE TRUNK DOESN'T OPEN WITH THE KEY; THE TIRE LIGHT REMAINS ON AT ALL TIMES AND THE CHRYSLER PART IS STILL NOT AVAILABLE. I HAVE REPLACED EVERYTHING ON MY FRONT END TRYING TO GET RID OF NOISES, LIKE METAL HITTING METAL AND NOTHING HAS WORKED. I HAVE REPLACED MY SHOCKS SEVERAL TIMES AND THE RIDE IS STILL ROUGH. I FEEL THAT THE MONEY I HAVE SPENT SHOULD BE REIMBURSED. THE CAR'S SUSPENSION HAS BEEN HORRIBLE. I HAVE SPOKE WITH THE DEALER AND HAD HIM REPAIR SEVERAL PARTS AND WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER, THESE CARS HAVE THE SAME SUSPENSION PROBLEMS. ONCE THEY GET SO MANY MILES ON THEM THEY ALL TEND TO MAKE NOISES NO ONE CAN FIND. I informed the dealership of ignition switch recall shortly after purchasing vehicle. The dealership stated " the VIN number shows no recalls". And that was it said there nothing showing up. I KNOW ignition switch is messed up because every time I would turn the car off I could still feel it running. I've had my car a year and now it will not crank due to ignition switch and now fuel air intake is also messing up and has caused cylinder 6 to miss fire. I have been without a vehicle for a month now and I need it fixed. When test driving the car, it would slow down as I was turning into a place of business and almost getting hit by another vehicle.

When taking vehicle for test drive about a month ago, the check engine light was on and after driving it, i noticed when AC was on and when off, the car loses power. When i go to pull out it has no power and i almost got hit in the side every time i would pull out from a busy highway. They had check engine light looked at and they said computer told them it was air valve leak or something like that. I had appointment for them to further assist and they said they could not find anything wrong. I can hear where the valve might be leaking at. The brakes are not good. I had to put on the brakes today fast and brake pedal acted like they were gonna skid out from under my foot. Brakes are new so why is it acting like i have no brakes and there is barley any acceleration. Something is going on and i don't want to be in a car accident just because our warnings are being over looked.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE GAUGES MALFUNCTIONED AND THE VEHICLE BECAME INOPERABLE. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTIFICATION UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V567000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM), BUT THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE DIAGNOSTIC DETERMINED THAT THE FAILURE WAS AN ANTI-LOCK BRAKE ISSUE. AFTER A 23 POINT INSPECTION, THE VEHICLE WAS STILL INOPERABLE. THE MOTOR FRACTURED AND LOCKED AFTER THE INSPECTION AND THE HOSES WERE DRY ROTTED. IN ADDITION, THERE WERE TWO BOLTS ON THE FLOORBOARD OF THE VEHICLE. LETTER FROM SENATOR NELSON ON BEHALF OF CONSTITUENT RE ISSUES WITH CHRYSLER VEHICLE. *SMD 2008 CHRYSLER 300. THE CONSUMER STATED THE IGNITION SWITCH IN HER VEHICLE WAS RECALLED. AT ANY TIME, THE VEHICLE COULD SHUT DOWN AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. THE CONSUMER WAS INFORMED THE PARTS WERE NOT AVAILABLE TO RECTIFY THE RECALL. IN MARCH, THE TIRE PRESSURE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THE PROBLEM STARTED WITH THE CAR SHUTTING OFF WHILE DRIVING. IGNITION SWITCH ISSUE IS STILL NOT RESOLVED. I CALLED CHRYSLER AND THEY TOLD ME THAT THERE IS NO ETA ON WHEN THEY ARE GOING TO RECEIVE THE PARTS TO GET MY VEHICLE FIXED. I HAVE RECENTLY HAD ISSUES WITH MY CAR NOT STARTING AT ALL IN ADDITION TO THE IGNITION SWITCH STICKING. I TOOK IT TO THE LOCAL SHOP AND THEY FIXED THE IGNITION RELAY. AFTER THAT, I RECEIVED THE IGNITION RECALL FROM CHRYSLER. CHRYSLER IS REFUSING TO REIMBURSE ME FOR THE IGNITION RELAY AS THEY INDICATED THAT, AT THIS TIME, THEY CANNOT CONFIRM THAT IT IS PART OF THE RECALL (RELAY FAILED DUE TO CORROSION) AS THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS NOT SURE WHAT WOULD NEED TO BE FIXED IN THE RECALL ?????? CHRYSLER HAS ALSO REFUSED TO PROVIDE ME ANYTHING IN WRITING OF THEIR DENIAL OF REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE CORRODED IGNITION RELAY. THE REPRESENTATIVE WOULD ONLY GIVE ME HER FIRST NAME, [XXX], AND NO OTHER ASSISTANCE. SHE ASSURED ME THAT THEY WOULD NOTIFY ME WHEN THE IGNITION SWITCH COMES IN AND CHRYSLER HAS A RECORD OF MY CALL AND CLAIM. THIS IS NOT VERY COMFORTING KNOWING THAT I AM DRIVING WITH A SAFETY RECALL AND ONGOING ISSUES; NO ESTIMATION ON WHEN THE PARTS ARE GOING TO BE READY; LET ALONE WHEN IT WILL BE FIXED. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE MODULE TRANSMITTERS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. ON 2/27/2014 I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREE WAY AND MY WINDSHIELD WIPERS STOPPED WORKING. IT WAS VERY DANGEROUS DUE TO THE FACT THAT IT WAS POURING RAIN OUT, AND I HAD ZERO VISIBILITY ON THE HIGHWAY. I HAD TO PULL OVER ON TO THE SHOULDER, WHERE I WAITED APPROXIMATELY 30 MINUTES BEFORE I WAS ABLE TO GET MY WIPERS TO WORK AGAIN. ON MY WAY HOME FROM WORK LATER THAT DAY, AS I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY ONCE AGAIN, MY CAR COMPLETELY TURNED OFF LEAVING ME STRANDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FREE WAY. I WAS ABLE TO GET MY CAR STARTED AND GET HOME SAFELY , ALTHOUGH I WAS TERRIFIED. TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALER ON 3/1/2014. TECH STATED IT WAS A BAD WIPER MOTOR, PART REPLACED AND STILL WIPERS WILL NOT WORK. REPLACED FUSES AND RELAYS AS RECOMMENDED PER DEALER TECH, STILL WIPERS WILL NOT WORK I HAVE SPENT OVER 500$ IN THESE REPAIRS AND STILL MY WIPERS ARE NOT WORKING. NOW THE DEALER IS SAYING THAT I HAVE A BAD TIPM (TOTALLY INTEGRATED POWER MODULE). HOWEVER, I AM UNABLE TO GET MY CAR FIXED SINCE THE PART IS ON BACK ORDER. APPARENTLY CHRSYLER HAS KNOWN ABOUT THIS PROBLEM FOR A WHILE NOW SINCE THE PART IS ON A NATIONAL BACK ORDER. I BELIEVE CHRYSLER SHOULD RECALL ALL VEHICLES WITH A DEFECTIVE TIPM. THE DEALER HAS GIVEN ME AN ESTIMATE OF 1200$ FOR REPLACING THE TIPM. IT'S VERY AGGRAVATING SINCE NOW I MUST PAY FOR A RENTAL CAR FOR WHO KNOWS HOW LONG SINCE NOT EVEN DEALERS KNOW WHEN THE PART WILL BE AVAILABLE. IT WAS AT RENTAL COMPANY FOR 1 1/2 YEARS THEN I WAS THE SUCKER THAT BOUGHT IT! THE TIE RODS GO ONCE A YEAR AND MECHANICS 'ALL TALK WHO CHRYSLER MADE THEM BAD I GUESS" THEN THE GOODYEAR INTREGRITY'S HYDROPLANE....THE SUSPENSION SOUNDS LIKE BEVERLY HILLBILLIES...I WAS TOLD THAT THE NOISES I HEAR ARE NOT THE SHOCKS I HAD REPLACED BUT ARE NOW THE ACTUAL FRONT ARM CONTROLS OF MY CAR THAT ARE ROTTING AWAY...ANOTHER THING IS THE ENGINE "KICKS IN HARD" WHEN GOING INTO 2ND SHIFT (AUTOMATIC)..THE HORN IS HARD TO PRESS..THE FRONT TIRES RUB, YOU CAN HEAR THEN WHEN TURNING EVEN THOUGH I AM UP TO DATE ON ROTORS AND PADS...LET'S SEE WHAT ELSE OH YES JUST PAID $400 BECAUSE THE CAR STARTED TO OVERHEAT SO WHEN I WAS THERE GETTING THAT FIXED I TOLD THEM HOW MY CAR HAS ALWAYS HAD CONDENSATION ON IT IN THE WINTER..I CAN CHISEL OFF THE ICE PARTICLES ON THE INSIDE! THEY SAID I NEEDED A WHOLE NEW HOUSING OF SOME SORTS FIXED SO THEY DID THAT..HUM WHAT ELSE? OH NOW THE ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND THE CAR IS CHUGGING AND JERKING LIKE I'M IN A FARMER'S TRACTOR! UPDATED 05/11/12 *BF THE CONSUMER STATED WHEN HE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, IT CAME WITH CLOTH SEATS. HOWEVER, THE SEATS WERE CHANGED TO LEATHER. WHEN THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN IN FOR PULLING TO RIGHT WHILE DRIVING, THE SERVICE TECH RIPPED THE LEATHER WITH THE SEAT BELT. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A REPAIR SHOP. MY DRIVER SIDE SEAT WARMERS MALFUNCTIONED AND ENDED UP TURNING ON BY ITSELF AND OVERHEATING AND IN TURN, BURNING THE DRIVER'S SEAT. I INITIALLY PARKED THE CAR WHERE I USUALLY DO AND WAS PLANNING ON TAKING THE CAR THE NEXT DAY TO THE CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP BY MY HOME. I WOKE UP ON THE MORNING OF AUGUST 31, 2011, WALKED UP TO MY CAR (WHICH HAD BLACK WINDOWS FROM THE SMOKE FROM THE FLAMES) AND OPENED MY CAR DOOR TO FIND MY DRIVER SIDE SEAT BURNED TO ASHES. THIS IS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AND THE SITUATION WITH MY CAR IS BEING FIXED AND CHRYSLER IS TAKING CARE OF THE PROBLEM. I DO NOT WANT THIS TO HAPPEN TO ANYONE ELSE. I STATED THEIR WAS A RUBBING TYPE NOISE IN RIGHT/LEFT FRONT WHEEL WHEN TURNING. THE RESULT WAS NOTHING. THE SECOND OCCURRENCE WAS AUGUST 13, 2008 WITH THE SAME PROBLEM. THE THIRD TIME DAY CHRYSLER RESURFACED FRONT AND REAR ROTORS. THE SUBSIDED BUT OCCURRED AGAIN. THE BRAKES DRAG AND PULSATE WHEN STOPPING. I CONTINUE TO HAVE NOISY FRONT WHEELS WHILE DRIVING FORWARD. I RENTED A CHRYSLER 300 OVER THIS PAST WEEKEND. I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT IT WAS THE SCARIEST RIDE I'VE HAD IN A WHILE. HAVE YOU EVER TESTED THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY PROGRAM ON ICE. IT NOT ONLY DOES NOT WORK, IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. I HAD TO DRIVE ABOUT SIX HUNDRED MILES ON ICY AND WINDY WYOMING ROADS WHICH PROVED TO BE QUITE SCARY IN THE 300 WITH ESP. SINCE I DON'T HAVE ANOTHER VEHICLE OF MY OWN WITH THIS FEATURE, IT TOOK A WHILE TO FIGURE OUT WHY THE CAR DIDN'T WANT TO DRIVE STRAIGHT DOWN THE ROAD, EVEN AT FAIRLY SLOW SPEEDS. THESE CARS SHOULD HAVE A HUGH RED WARNING STICKER ON THE DASH TO WARN PROSPECTIVE DRIVERS THAT THIS FEATURE IS NOT SAFE TO USE IN THE WIND AND ON ICE. WE HAVE TAKEN OUR 2008 CHRYSLER 300 TO 2 DIFFERENT CHRYSLER DEALERS AND THEY HAVEN'T FIXED OUR CAR. OUR CAR WINDOWS, AC, LIGHTS, BRAKE LIGHTS, FAN ETC DON'T WORK SEVERAL TIMES.
