I lost all power to my car randomly, i replaced my alternator, battery, and pcm as well as the pigtail harness for my alternator. the car has no power inside at all besides my taillights and brake lights stay on. i keep blowing fuses left and right the fuses that keep blowing are - asd feed #1, trans/shifter, hvac module/ cluster, amplifier, radio screen - this is a major issue that needs to be recalled especially with everything else electrical that was already recalled. thanks for your time

The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. The contact stated while driving 45 MPH, there was a burning odor inside the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact pulled over on the side of the road and examined under the hood of the vehicle and noticed there was smoke coming from the alternator. After the vehicle cooled down, the contact was able to drive the vehicle back to the residence. The dealer was contact and stated that the vehicle was previously repaired under NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V435000 (Electrical System) and that the contact had to pay for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 158,000.

I RECENTLY RAN INTO SOME MECHANICAL ISSUES THAT HAVE CONCERNED ME. I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE OCTOBER 9TH 2019 ON THE HIGHWAY WITH AN AVERAGE SPEED OF 70MPH 'SPEED LIMIT' AND WITHOUT ANY WARNING THE VEHICLE CUT OFF WHILE STILL IN MOTION. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ANY INDICATION THAT I WAS HAVING ANY ISSUES MECHANICALLY. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER SAFELY AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. AFTER 15-20 MINUTES ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND A FEW PHONE CALLS TO A TOWING COMPANY I TRIED TO START THE VEHICLE AND IT STARTED RIGHT UP. I CONTACTED THE NEAREST DEALER TO ME 'ROCKY MOUNT CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT, LOCATED AT 1340 S WESLEYAN BLVD, ROCKY MOUNT, NC 27803 AT PHONE NUMBER 252-977-1340'. I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER MY VEHICLE HAD ALREADY HAD THE RECALL FOR THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: ALTERNATOR/GENERATOR/REGULATOR COMPLETED AND THERE SHOULD NOT BE ANY PROBLEMS. THIS WAS EVEN AFTER STATING THE ISSUE WHICH I CAUSED ME TO BE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD. BELIEVING THE RECALL ACTUALLY FIXED THE PROBLEM THE FIRST TIME THEN WHY AM I NOW/STILL HAVING THE SAME PROBLEMS AS LISTED WITH THE RECALL, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM: ALTERNATOR/GENERATOR/REGULATOR.

The contact owned a 2012 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, a vehicle abruptly merged in front, causing the contact to T-bone the vehicle. The driver's side air bags did not fully deploy. The front passenger side air bag deployed, but there was no occupant. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. The vehicle was condemned as a total loss. The contact was transported to the local medical center. The contact sustained injuries to the left shoulder and additional bruises. In addition, the contact received a CT scan due to the contact's head hitting the front windshield. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 195,000.

recall notice for passenger air bag was sent three years ago. Vehicle was brought to dealership and held for a week to replace air bag. Vehicle was returned with air bag NOT replaced. I was told to wait for a call when they receive more air bags and they would schedule for replacement. As of today, three years later, I am being told the air bags are still not available for purchase or replacement under recall.

I WAS TRAVELING DOWN A BUSY STREET IN ATLANTA. I CAME TO A STOP SIGN AND WHEN I TRIED TO CONTINUE THROUGH THE INTERSECTION, THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. THE ENGINE WAS REEVING UP HIGH BUT THE CAR WAS NOT MOVING. IT ALSO WOULD NOT LET ME PUT THE CAR IN PARK. I HAD TO TURN THE CAR OFF AND AFTER A FEW MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR AND CONTINUE ON MY TRIP. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES.

I HAD A RECALL PERFORMED AT THE DEALER FOR THE SHIFTER RECALL IN FOR WHICH THEY PERFORMED A REPROGRAM THAT WOULD SUPPOSEDLY KEEP THE CAR FROM ROLLING IF THE DRIVERS DOOR WAS OPENED AND THE TRANSMISSION WAS NOT PUT IN PARK. WELL HERE'S WHAT HAPPENED. AFTER THE REPROGRAM WHENEVER THE DRIVERS DOOR IS OPENED WHILE THE CAR IS RUNNING AND IN GEAR IT JUMPS INTO PARK WHICH IS BAD FOR THE DRIVELINE. I GUESS THAT'S HOW IT WAS RECONFIGURED. I WAS USE TO THE OLD WAY BECAUSE WHEN I PULL INTO MY DRIVEWAY I ALWAYS OPEN THE DOOR TO SEE HOW CLOSE I AM TO THE EDGE OF THE DRIVEWAY. (I HAVE TO DO THIS TO LEAVE ENOUGH ROOM FOR MY WIFE TO GET IN AND OUT OF THE GARAGE ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE CAR) HAVING OVER 45 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE IN THE AUTOMOTIVE FIELD AS A TECHNICIAN AND TECHNICAL TRAINER I CAN SAY THIS IS ONE OF THE DUMBEST THINGS I HAVE SEEN. WHAT THEY SHOULD HAVE DONE WAS TO REPROGRAM IT SO THAT IF YOU OPENED THE DOOR WITH YOUR SEATBELT OFF THEN THE CAR SHOULD GO INTO PARK BECAUSE YOU COULD STEP OUT WHILE THE CAR WAS IN GEAR. YOUR NOT GETTING OUT OF THE CAR WITH YOUR SEATBELT ON SO THERE'S NO NEED FOR THE TRANSMISSION TO JUMP INTO PARK THE OTHER THING THAT HAPPENS IS WHEN YOU PLACE THE SHIFTER IN PARK AND PUSH THE START BUTTON TO TURN OFF THE CAR SOMETIMES IT DOESN'T GO TO OFF IT GOES TO ACCESSORY AND YOU EITHER HAVE TO RESTART THE CAR THEN TURN IT OFF OR PUSH THE START BUTTON WITH YOUR FOOT OFF THE BRAKE TO TURN THE IGNITION ON THEN BACK OFF. IT NEVER DID THIS BEFORE THEY PERFORMED THE RECALL. I WISH I NEVER TOOK THE CAR IN FOR THE RECALL. IN FACT I PROBABLY WONT TAKE MY CAR IN FOR ANY MORE RECALLS ILL TAKE MY CHANCES JUST THE WAY IT IS.

The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while driving at 65 MPH, the temperature gauge had independently increased levels. The contact managed to pull over to the shoulder of the road and was able to restart the vehicle as a temporary repair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, white smoke had leaked through the air vent into the interior cabin before independently shifting the gear into neutral. In addition, a fire had started from under the hood of the vehicle. No warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that a couple of nearby pedestrians attempted to extinguish the fire, but were unsuccessful due to the size of the fire. The contact had COPD, which was impacted during the failure, and medical attention was sought for a heart-related issue. The fire department arrived on the scene to extinguish the fire. A report was filed; however, it was unclear if either the local Fire department or Police department had filed the report. The vehicle was towed to a local tow lot, where it remained and was declared a total loss. The local dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 123,000.

WHILE DRIVING MY CAR DURING A STOPLIGHT IT SUDDENLY STALLED AND DIED. MY GEAR WAS STILL IN DRIVE. I TRIED TO RESTART MY CAR BUT IT WASNT ABLE TO START IT JUS KEPT MAKING A CLICKING SOUND LIKE IT WAS TRYING TO START BUT COULDNT AND LAST FOR 30 SECS. I WASNT ABLE TO PUT THE GEAR INTO NEUTRAL. SO IN WAS STALLED OK THE ROAD. AFTER TRYING TO ATTEMPT TO RESTART THE ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON. I AM VERY FRUSTRATED BECAUSE I JUST GOT MY CAR BACK FROM THE DEALERSHIP AFTER THEM REPLACING MY WATER PUMP AND THERMOSTAT TWICE 1 YEAR APART. NOW IT'S BACK AT THE SHOP AND I HAVE TO PAY 140 TO HAVE THEM DIAGNOSE IT AFTER SPENDING 1200. I CHECKED MY WARRANTY AND SERVICE CONTRACT AND THEY ALL EXPIRED.

WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEED (70MPH), THE OIL PRESSURE SUDDENLY DROPPED FROM A NORMAL 55+PSI TO ABOUT 15PSI AND THE ENGINE STARTED TO VIBRATE BAD AND RUN ERADICALLY. SLOWING DOWN AND STOPPING, IT FELT LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL MAKING IT MUCH, MUCH HARDER TO STEER THE VEHICLE AND SLOW DOWN DUE TO THE LACK OF VACUUM CREATED BY THE ENGINE TO ASSIST WITH THE POWER BRAKES AND RPM'S NEEDED TO PROVIDE POWER STEERING ASSIST. OIL PRESSURE DROPPED TO ABOUT 5PSI AT IDLE. NO KNOCKING SOUND FROM THE LOWER END OF THE ENGINE, JUST VALVETRAIN TAPPING/TICKING. THIS VEHICLE NEEDS TOWED. THIS IS A LOW MILEAGE VEHICLE-WELL UNDER 100K MILES AND DOCUMENTED CARE. THERE ARE MANY, MANY HEMI EQUIPPED VEHICLES ON THE ROAD AND AT DEALERSHIPS THAT HAVE THESE RELATED TIMING CHAINS BREAKING / TIMING CHAIN TENSIONERS BREAKING AND FAILING, CAMSHAFT AND LIFTERS GRINDING THEMSELVES AWAY BUT, VERY FEW ARE REPORTED AS EITHER TSB'S OR RECALLS. THIS IS POTENTIALLY A VERY DEADLY AND DANGEROUS ISSUE AND SHOULD NOT BE TAKEN LIGHTLY!!! EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!!!

Car accelerated on its own and refused to stop when brakes were applied. This occurrence jeopardized my safety and the safety of others on the road. Once I realized that no one was behind me I had to slam the car into neutral for it to stop moving abruptly so I wouldn't run into the the car in front of me, but the engine kept revving up high. I then turned it off. Which left me in a dangerous position and blocking traffic.

Car will shut off in mid drive with no notice. I took it to the dealership multiple times and spent over $3,000 in repairs they still haven’t fixed the problem. I’m scared I will get into a accident or worse because this problem Continuously happens it has happened on the highway it happens on the street. I don’t know what else to do the dealership does not know what the problem is.

MY CAR STARTED SMOKING WITH BLACK SMOKE. THE CAR STARTED OVERHEATING. WE OPENED UP THE HOOD AND THE WATER PUMP LOOKED LIKE IT EXPLODED BECAUSE THE ANTIFREEZE WAS EVERYWHERE. I TOOK MY CAR IN TWICE 1 YEAR APART FOR THE SAME PROBLEM AND WAS REPLACED WITH AFTERMARKET EQUIPMENT FROM THE DEALERSHIP. I'M WONDERING IF THE USE OF AFTERMARKET IS BREAKING MY CAR APART. The air bags were replaced in my vehicle due to a recall. Now my air bag light is on and the buttons and horn do not work. The airbag clock spring is broken. The air bags were replaced by the dealership. Should the clock spring be replaced covered due to this issue?

There is a hairline crack on top of the Fuel Pump Plastic Housing cause leak on top of the housing. Fuel Vapor in AC present as well as inside and outside the car. This could be a potential fire hazard and I have read many forums in which many other owners of the same make and model of the car has.

JUST BOUGHT THIS 2012 CHRYSLER 300 AND NOT EVEN HAVING IT 2 WEEKS I FILLED UP MY TANK AND SMELLED A VERY STRONG FUEL SMELL. MY HUSBAND LIFTED UP THE BACK SEAT AND FOUND A QUITE LARGE PUDDLE JUST SITTING ON TOP OF THE FUEL PUMP. WE THOUGHT IT WAS THE ORING BUT WE REPLACED THAT YESTERDAY AND FILLED IT UP AGAIN AND NOTICED ANOTHER GOOD SIZE PUDDLE ON TOP OF THE FUEL PUMP AGAIN.

My vehicle stalls when placed from reverse to drive and the check engine light blinks and goes to Eco mode which makes the car shake. I’ve had a tuneup, oil change, brakes, O2 sensor and spark plugs replaced and the issues still exist. The car also will initiate skid control without warning or pressing the button which slows the car down and causes the engine to rev above 3-6rpm

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE'S THERMOSTAT RAN HOT. WHILE ACCELERATING, THE THERMOSTAT WOULD RESET TO NORMAL. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT WHILE ACCELERATING AT 55 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AND THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL (ETC) WARNING INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT HAD TO WAIT THIRTY MINUTES BEFORE THE VEHICLE WAS ABLE TO BE RESTARTED AND RESUME NORMAL DRIVING. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE THE THERMOSTAT WAS REPLACED, BUT NO ERROR CODES COULD BE FOUND REGARDING THE ETC. ALTERNATOR WENT OUT WHILE DRIVING. SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAD MY VEHICLE FOR 7 DAYS. WE WENT BACK AND FORTH AS TO WHO WAS GOING TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR THAT WAS COVERED UNDER THE T36 RECALL. 5 DAYS AFTER SAID REPAIR, THE A/C COMPRESSOR IS NOT WORKING.

ON 12/22/16, I USED MY CAR FOR WORK AND LATER CHRISTMAS SHOPPING WITH NO PROBLEM. AT 9:00 PM, MY HUSBAND, GRANDDAUGHTER AND I WERE ON THE FREEWAY TRAVELING ABOUT 60-65 MPH WHEN THE BATTERY SAVE MODE LIGHT CAME ON. I SMELLED SMOKE SO MY HUSBAND MERGED OVER TO THE FAR RIGHT, STILL TRAVELING ABOUT 50-55 MPH. THE CAR BEGAN TO SHUT DOWN, FIRST THE RADIO, THEN INSIDE PANEL LIGHTS, HEADLIGHTS, AIRBAG WARNING LIGHTS, BRAKE LIGHTS, WINDSHIELD WIPERS UP, AND CAR SLAMMED INTO PARK WHILE MOVING. FELT LIKE WE WERE REAR ENDED. VERY SCARY. LUCKILY, WE WERE ABLE TO COAST DOWNHILL OFF THE SIDE OF THE FREEWAY, BARELY MAKING IT OFF, WITH THE BACKEND OF THE CAR IN JEOPARDY OF BEING HIT. THE THREE OF US WERE STRANDED THERE ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD UNTIL 1:30 AM, IN A NOT SO LIT AREA, UNTIL AAA ARRIVED. NONE OF US KNEW HOW TO PUT THE CAR IN NEUTRAL SO IT HAD TO BE FORCED ON AND OFF THE FLAT BED. THE NEXT DAY, I NOTIFIED CHRYSLER AND FOUND OUT THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE ALTERNATOR FOR THIS SAME MAKE, MODEL AND YEAR. MY CARE # IS 30764006. HOWEVER, I WAS TOLD THAT MY CAR WAS NOT COVERED BECAUSE IT HAD A 180 AMP ALTERNATOR INSTEAD OF 160 AMP. I WAS TOLD BY [XXX] TO HAVE MY CAR TOWED TO MOTOR VILLAGE LA FOR AN OFFICIAL DIAGNOSIS AND THAT SHE (CHRYSLER) WOULD TRY TO HELP ME GET IT APPROVED TO BE FIXED UNDER THE RECALL. MOTOR VILLAGE QUOTED ME $1200 TO FIX AND DENIED THE RECALL CLAIM. MY FAMILY AND I ALMOST LOST OUR LIVES THAT EVENING, AND I WASTED TIME WITH CHRYSLER RECALL. THIS VEHICLE HAS VERY POOR LIGHTING OUTPUT FROM THE HEADLIGHTS. THE PROJECTOR LAMPS ARE TERRIBLE. THERE ARE NO HIGH BEAMS. THERE IS SOME TYPE OF SHUTTER THAT MOVES TO REDIRECT THE LIGHT. THE HIGH BEAMS ARE WORSE THAN THE LOW BEAMS. WORSE HEADLIGHTS I HAVE EVER HAD ON A CAR I OWNED. THIS CAR IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE AT NIGHT PERIOD THEN ADD SOME RAIN AND A CONSTRUCTION ZONE AND IT REALLY GETS EVEN WORSE. I HAVE ALMOST BEEN IN MANY ACCIDENTS BECAUSE OF THESE LIGHTS ALMOST HITTING A PEDESTRIANS AND OTHER VEHICLES. I AVOID DRIVING THIS CAR AT NIGHT AT ALL COSTS. I CANNOT AFFORD ANOTHER VEHICLE SO I AM STUCK WITH THIS VEHICLE I GUESS. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE FAILURE RECURRED THREE TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED NOR REPAIRED. THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V240000 (POWER TRAIN) AND STATED THAT THE PART NEEDED WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 46,000. I WAS PARKING IN A PARKING GARAGE AND THE CAR WENT INTO LOW BATTERY MODE AND THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON. I COULD SMELL BURNING FROM THE ENGINE. I WAS ABLE TO MAKE IT SAFELY TO PARK AS I WAS IN A PARKING GARAGE. I WAS ABLE TO INSPECT UNDER THE HOOD AND WHILE FACING THE ENGINE THEIR WAS SMOKE/BURNING SMELL TO THE LEFT OF THE ENGINE. THE DEALER DID CONFIRM IT IS PART OF THE T36 RECALL AND IS STATING I HAVE TO PAY UP FRONT.

(P60/NHTSA 14V-634) I OWN A 2012 CHRYSLER 300. WHILE DRIVING ABOUT 5 MPH IN A PARKING LOT, THE RADIO STATED CUTTING ON AND OFF, THE BATTERY ICON FLASHED ON AND OFF AND I LOST ALL POWER TO THE VEHICLE. I OPENED THE HOOD AND SMOKE WAS COMING FROM THE ALTERNATOR. AAA CAME AND TRIED TO JUMP -START THE VEHICLE, BUT THE BATTERY WAS COMPLETELY DEAD. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE BATTERY WAS THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE BATTER AND THE ALTERNATOR WERE REPLACED. IN 2015, A LETTER WAS SENT TO CERTAIN CHRYSLER 300 OWNERS WHOSE VEHICLE WAS EQUIPPED WITH A 3.6L ENGINE AND A 160 AMP ALTERNATOR TO TAKE THEIR VEHICLE TO A CHRYSLER DEALER AND GET THE ALTERNATOR REPLACED, FREE OF CHARGE. THOSE OF US WITH A 180 AMP ALTERNATOR DID NOT QUALIFY. THOSE OF US WITH THE 180 AMP ALTERNATOR DID NOT QUALIFY. THE SAME PROBLEM THAT EXISTED WITH THE 160 AMP, ALSO EXIST WITH THE 180 AMP ALTERNATOR. I ALSO HAVE A LIFE- TIME WARRANTY, BUT I HAD TO PAY FOR THE BATTERY.

WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND IT STARTED TO STALL. MANAGED TO GET IT TO A PARKING LOT WHERE IT DIED OUT. THOUGHT IT WAS THE BATTERY GOT A NEW ONE TO MOVE FROM THE PARKING LOT. PROCEEDED TO DRIVE THE CAR HOME FROM THE PARKING LOT ABOUT 1 MILE AWAY. IT STARTED TO GIVE OUT AND STALL AGAIN SO I PULLED OVER. POPPED THE HOOD OPEN AND THE ALTANATOR WAS SMOKING SO I TURNED THE CAR OFF. EVEN AFTER I TURNED IT OFF IT STILL SMOKED AND SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS CRACKLINGS LIKE A FIRE LUCKILY IT DID NOT CATCH ON FIRE. MY QUESTION IS IF THERE'S RECALLS ON 2011-2014 CHRYSLER 300 ALTANATORS WHY IS THERE NOT ONE ON MY CAR?

WAS DRIVING ALONG DOING ABOUT 45MPH WHEN MY (ABS) LIGHT CAME ON AND THEN 10 SECONDS LATER MY BATTERY LIGHT THEN 5 SECONDS LATER ALL ELECTRIAL COMPONENTS FAILED. Was on my way home from work and car completely lost power as I was preceding to go after stopping at a stop sign. I was LITERALLY in the middle of the road. Car wouldn't crank AT ALL. Engine started OVERHEATING causing smoke to disburse from engine. NO WARNING LIGHTS before this occurred. A big truck was coming down the road and I had to exist the vehicle. Luckily a car wasn't in the other lane so the truck went on the other side of the road. I was terrified! I called 911 to get a deputy dispatch to direct traffic around my car to avoid mutiple COLLISION. I had to have my vehicle towed. I never want another Chrysler again these cars are UNSAFE. I could have died what if my child was in the car?! I took my car to a mechanic to put on computer scanner and it gave off SEVEN codes ALL due to ELECTRICAL ISSUES! CAR IS APPARENTLY STUCK IN LIMP MODE IDK I'M SO CONFUSED AND DISAPPOINTED. I reported the issue to Chrysler recall line and they did NOTHING.

GOT UP IN THE MORNING STARTED MY CHRYSLER 300 LET IT RUN FOR 3-5MINS BEFORE PULLING OFF TO GET COFFEE. NO ISSUES GOING AND RETURNING WHICH TOOK 10-15MINS TOPS. RETURNED HOME TO PICK UP AND DROP MY GIRLFRIEND OFF AT WORK APPROX. 20-25 MILES AWAY. MADE IT THERE WITH NO ISSUES. I PULL AWAY FROM HER JOB TURN A FEW CORNERS I SUDDENLY HEAR A FAINT WHINING THE STEADILY GREW LOUDER AND BEGAN TO SMELL ELECTRICAL BURNING. I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT POPPED THE HOOD LOOKED AT THE ENGINE SAW NOTHING BUT STILL SMELLED ELECTRICAL BURNING. GOT BACK IN THE CAR TURNED THE CAR OFF THEN ON AGAIN AND PULLED OFF. 5 MILES FROM MY GIRLFRIENDS JOB I'M BACK ON THE HIGHWAY GOING 60-65 THE CAR IS STILL WHINING THE ELECTRONICS STARTED TO FLICKER EVERYTHING THE NEEDLES EVERYTHING JUST KEPT FLASHING OR FAILED UNTIL THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKED UP I COULDN'T BREAK OR GAS BUT THE CAR WAS STILL ON AND MOVING. ON MY OWN I REMOVED THE BATTERY WENT TO HAVE IT CHARGED IT WOULD NOT HOLD A CHARGE I BOUGHT A NEW ONE. OVER $200. UPON CONNECTING THE NEW BATTERIES NEG CONNECTION WHICH I DID AFTER CONNECTING THE POS. CONNECTOR I EXPERIENCED A HUGE AMOUNT OF SPARKING WHICH ACTUALLY ATE AWAY SUM OF THE BATTERIES NEG. CONNECT...YES ATE THE METAL KNOB...MEDAL PIECES LIKE DUST AROUND IT NOW BUT I DON'T THINK I DAMAGED THE BATTERY. I CHECKED THE GROUNDING IT WAS ALL GOOD OR SO IT SEEMED. I REMOVED THE ALTERNATOR TOOK IT TO AUTO ZONE BUT UNFORTUNATELY IT HAS TO BE TESTED IN THE VEHICLE WITH THE CAR RUNNING...WHICH I CLEARLY CANNOT START. IVE SET UP APPOINTMENTS ONLINE TO HAVE IT FIXED BUT NOBODY NOT EVEN CHRYSLER HAS THE PARTS YET...BEEN 2 MONTHS. I'M JUST WAITING.

MY BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON WHEN I WAS LEAVING THE GROCERY STORE. ABOUT A MILE AWAY I STOPPED AT STOPLIGHT AT A BUSY INTERSECTION ON THE HIGHWAY AND DASH LIGHTS STARTED COMING ON AND OFF, RADIO AND AC COMING ON AND OFF AND THEN CAR DIES AND WILL NOT RESTART. AFTER 5 OR 10 MINUTES GET IT RESTARTED AND WILL BARELY MOVE. LUCKILY THERE WAS AN AUTO PARTS STORE JUST AROUND THE CORNER. WHEN I PULL IN THE PARKING LOT, CAR WILL NOT SHIFT OUT OF DRIVE, WILL NOT SHUT OFF, WIND SHIELD WIPERS COME ON AND WON'T GO OFF, GAUGES ALL GOING CRAZY AND HAVE TO USE EMERGENCY BRAKE SO MY CAR WON'T RUN THROUGH THE FRONT OF THE STORE WHILE I GO INTO STORE TO GET HELP. THE GUY HOOKS UP TO DIAGNOSTIC DEVICE AND IT GIVES A READ ERROR. (HOOKS UP TO ANOTHER CAR AND NO ERROR). FINALLY GET CAR TO SHUT OFF AFTER ABOUT 20 MINUTES. HE TESTS BATTERY AND COMES BACK LOW. NEW $200 BATTERY AND STARTS UP FINE, EVERYTHING WORKING AGAIN. PULL OUT OF PARKING LOT AND START SMELLING SOMETHING BURNING, SMOKE COMING THROUGH VENTS, WEIRD SOUND. PULL OVER AND SAME THINGS HAPPEN - GAUGES GOING CRAZY, WIPERS ON, WON'T SHIFT OUT OF DRIVE, WON'T TURN OFF. GET OUT OF CAR AND TAKE KEY OUT WITH ME AND WIPERS COME ON. HAVE TO TAKE OUT FUSE TO GET THEM TO GO OFF. LIGHTS COME ON. HAVE TO DISCONNECT BATTERY TO GET THEM OFF - ALL OF THIS WHEN THE KEY IS NOT EVEN IN THE CAR! $60 TO HAVE CAR TOWED TO SHOP AND $600 TO HAVE ALTERNATOR REPLACED. WHY IS THE 180 AMP ALTERNATOR NOT PART OF THE P60 RECALL WHEN IT IS HAVING THE SAME EXACT ISSUES AS THE 160 AMP ALTERNATOR THAT WAS RECALLED??? I KEEP SEEING OTHERS SAYING THEY KEEP HAVING THE ALTERNATOR GO OUT AGAIN EVEN AFTER THEY REPLACE IT. SINCE 2013 I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH MY CAR. FIRST IN 2013 IT WAS VERY SPORADIC. THE BLUETOOTH AND RADIO WOULD NOT TURN ON APPROXIMATELY ONCE EVERY 2 TO 4 MONTHS SO I WOULD TURN OFF THE CAR AND RESTART IT AND IT WOULD CONNECT. THIS YEAR IN JANUARY 2016 THE FAN WAS NOT BLOWING AND THERE WAS NOT HEAT IN THE VEHICLE. I TURN THE CAR OF AND RESTARTED IT AND THE FAN BEGAN TO BLOW IMMEDIATELY. LAST WEEK MY STEERING WHEEL FELT LIKE IT WAS NOT GOING TO COMPLETE MY LEFT TURN AND GOT REALLY TIGHT. YESTERDAY AS I WAS DRIVING MY ACCELERATOR AND BRAKE BEGAN TO FEEL VERY TIGHT AS IF THEY WERE BOTH GETTING STIFF AND THE SUSPENSION STARTED GETTING VERY TIGHT THEN AS I WAS BACKING INTO A PARKING SPACE MY BACKUP CAMERA STARTED FLICKERING LIKE POLTERGEIST. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO CHECK IT I NEEDED A BATTERY OR A NEW ALTERNATOR AND THEY SAID NOPE. MY BATTERY, MY ALTERNATOR AND STARTED ARE ALL GOOD. I HAVE BEEN TWO DIFFERENT PLACES AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I HAVE AN ELECTRICAL ISSUE THAT HAS JUST GONE BAD OVER TIME. I TRIED TO HAVE SOMEONE LOOK INTO IT IN 2013, BUT ANYTIME SOMEONE HELD ONTO THE VEHICLE NOTHING HAPPENED. I JUST SPOKE TO ANOTHER MECHANIC AND THEY SAID I MAY NEED A NEW PCM. I AM NOT SURE WHAT THE PROBLEM IS BUT WOULD LIKE TO GET TO THE BOTTOM OF IT.

I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE ON A CITY STREET WHEN SUDDENLY IT STARTED TO ACT STRANGE. THE VEHICLE STABILITY WARNING LIGHT WENT ON AND I BEGAN TO QUICKLY LOSE POWER AND CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. A BURNING SMELL WAS DETECTED AND THE POWERTRAIN BEGAN TO MAKE UNUSUAL NOISES. OTHER WARNING LIGHTS BEGAN POPPING RANDOMLY AND THE WIPERS STARTED ON ITS OWN. THE VEHICLE THEN STALLED AND CAME TO A COMPLETE STOP. ALL ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN. SMELLED LIKE SOMETHING HAD BURNED UP UNDER THE HOOD. I IMMEDIATELY CONTACTED CHRYSLER ROADSIDE SERVICE AND HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO A LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP. THE CHRYSLER SERVICE DEPARTMENT LATER EXAMINED THE VEHICLE AND SAID THE ALTERNATOR HAD BURNED UP. THE ALTERNATOR ALSO CAUSED DAMAGE TO MY BATTERY. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT INDICATED IT WOULD COST APPROXIMATELY $1,000 TO REPAIR BOTH. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT ALSO INDICATED THIS REPAIR IS NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY OR RECALL. I TOLD THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT I WAS AWARE CHRYSLER HAD RECALLED ALMOST 1/2 MILLION VEHICLE FOR THE SAME EXACT ALTERNATOR PROBLEM (RECALL P60). I CONTACTED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THEY INDICATED NOTHING CAN BE DONE BECAUSE MY VEHICLE WAS NOT ON THE P60 RECALL LIST. THEY PROVIDED ME A CASE NUMBER FOR THE INITIAL ROADSIDE SERVICE/TOW (#28743527) AND INDICATED NO OTHER CASE NUMBER WOULD BE GENERATED. ALTHOUGH MY VEHICLE IS NOT ON CHRYSLER'S RECALL LIST, THE ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS EXPERIENCED BY MY VEHICLE WAS IDENTICAL TO THE ALTERNATOR/ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS IDENTIFIED IN OTHER CHRYSLER VEHICLES HAVING THE SAME MODEL/ENGINE SPECIFICATIONS.

WHILE DRIVING DOWN A BUSY HIGHWAY MY CAR BEGAN TO HAVE ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH THE LIGHTS BLINKING AND DISPLAY GOING IN AND OUT BEFORE THE VEHICLE CUT OFF IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. I HAD THREE CHILDREN ALL UNDER THE AGE OF FIVE.AFTER HAVING IT TOWED AND INSPECTED A REFURBISHED ALTERNATOR WAS PUT IN DUE TO A RECALL (NEW ONES WERE ON BACK ORDER). LAST WEEK MY POWER STEERING WENT OUT WHILE I WAS DRIVING. I COULDN'T MOVE THE STEERING WHEEL AT ALI. I CALLED THE INSURANCE COMPANY TO SEND ASSISTANCE TO NO AVAIL. I REPLACED THE POWER STEERING FUSE THE NEXT DAY AND AFTER DROPPING MY SON OFF TO SCHOOL, IT WENT OUT AGAIN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. LUCKILY, I HAD PURCHASED EXTRA FUSES IN THE EVENT IT WENT OUT AGAIN. HAVING ELECTRICAL ISSUES THAT AFFECT YOUR ABILITY TO OPERATE THE CAR WHILE YOU ARE OPERATING IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND FRIGHTENING ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU HAVE CHILDREN ABOARD.

I WAS ABLE TO OPEN THE HOOD AND PULL OUT SOME FUSES TO FINALLY SHUT THE CAR DOWN BEFORE IT POTENTIALLY CAUGHT ON FIRE. I FELL THIS IS AN INHERIT SAFETY DANGE WITH THIS CAR. I SENT DO DEALER TO BE TOLD IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR WHICH IS VERY SCARY THAT THE CAR COULD DO THIS IF THE ALTERNATOR GOES. The contact owns a 2012 Chrysler 300. The contact stated that while driving at an unknown speed, there was an abnormal burning odor detected. The contact stated she noticed oil on the garage floor. Upon opening the hood, she noticed there was oil over the engine compartment. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that there was oil leaking from the cooler adapter. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but provided no additional assistance. An independent mechanic informed the contact that antifreeze and oil had entered the engine. The failure mileage was approximately 151,000.

2012 CHRYSLER 300 C WITH APPROXIMATELY 12,480 MILES HAD JUST BEEN SERVICED AT THE AUTONATION CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP DEALERSHIP IN SPRING, TEXAS. SERVICE HAD INCLUDED ENGINE/OIL/FILTER CHANGE, BALANCE/ROTATION OF TIRES. AFTER ACCEPTING VEHICLE FROM SERVICE DEPARTMENT, THE OWNER JUST DROVE OUT OF THE DEALERSHIP PARKING LOT AT APPROXIMATE SPEED OF 40 MILES PER HOUR (MPH) THE VEHICLE IMMEDIATELY FAILED TO INCREASE SPEED USING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. A QUICK SCAN OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL INDICATED APPROXIMATELY 1000 RPM'S ENGINE AND THE "CHECK ENGINE INDICATOR" LIGHT ILLUMINATED. WITH NO ABILITY TO INCREASE VEHICLE SPED THRU CONTINUED EFFORTS, A DRIVER WAS ABLE TO IMMEDIATELY MOVE THE VEHICLE TO THE FAR RIGHT LANE DUE TO AN CLEAR OPENING IN TRAFFIC. Car was stalling and had electrical issues. I paid to get it fixed but never knew there was a recall for my vehicles alternator. The vehicle battery dies fairly quickly from time to time still and every know and then I have to call AAA to jump my car and they say my battery is good. Chrysler's number for this recall is T36. I never received a noticed.

WHILE PARKED IN MY DRIVE WAY, ABOUT TO LEAVE FOR WORK, DISCOVERED THE SEAT BELT LATCH WOULD NOT WORK. THE INTERNAL MECHANISMS OF THE SEAT BELT LATCH MALFUNCTIONED AND WOULD NOT ALLOW THE BELT TO BE LATCHED. PERSONALLY DISASSEMBLED THE LATCH AND DISCOVERED THE SPRING HAD DISENGAGED FROM THE METAL LOCK THAT CATCHES THE HOLE ON THE MALE END OF THE BELT. BECAUSE OF THIS, SOME OF THE COMPONENTS HAD SHIFTED AROUND INSIDE COMPLETELY DISABLING THE CATCHING MECHANISM FROM MOVING. HADN'T NOTICED ANY ISSUES PRIOR TO THE LATCH BECOMING INOPERABLE. THE LATCH THAT BROKE WAS ON THE DRIVERS SEAT. FOUND A USED LATCH FROM A JUNK YARD AND REPLACED IT. I CURRENTLY AM STILL IN POSSESSION OF THE OLD SEAT BELT LATCH.

NOT TO MENTION THE STENCH OF THE HORRIFIC ELECTRICAL BURN SMELL IS STILL EMBEDDED IN THE INTERIOR..THANK GOD WE ARE ALL ALIVE!!!.I HAVE CONTACTED CHRYSLER CUSTOMER SERVICE # NUMEROUS TIMES TO PROVIDE ALL ESSENTIAL INFO(VIN #, CHAIN OF EVENTS....ETC.AS OF THIS DATE (3/1/2014), STILL NO RESPONSE TO AS WHEN THE CAR WILL BE INSPECTED...AGAIN SMH... THIS IS THE 2ND TIME I AM SENDING A COMPLAINT ABOUT THE 2012 CHRYSLER 300'S AND THE SAFETY ISSUES ASSOCIATED. MY VEHICLE HAS SOME SORT OF ELECTRICAL ISSUE. THIS ELECTRICAL ISSUE USED TO SPORADICALLY AFFECT MY VEHICLE IN VARIOUS WAY, HOWEVER LATELY THE ISSUES HAVE BECOME MORE FREQUENT AND AGGRESSIVE. THE FREQUENT AND AGGRESSIVE ACTIVITY ARE AS FOLLOWS: SOMETIMES MY BLUETOOTH WILL NOT CONNECT SO I WOULD TURN OFF AND RESTART THE VEHICLE AND THE BLUETOOTH WOULD IMMEDIATELY CONNECT. SOMETIMES THE POWER SEATS WILL NOT HEAT. I WOULD PULL OVER TURN OFF THE CAR AND RESTART THE VEHICLE AND IT WOULD START HEATING UP. SOMETIMES THE BACK-UP CAMERA FLICKERS AND HAS A SEVERELY DISTORTED IMAGE. SOMETIME THE IMAGE OF THE CAMERA IS PERFECTLY CRYSTAL CLEAR. THE MAIN CONCERN IS MY POWER STEERING IS ELECTRIC AND I DO NOT HAVE A POWER STEERING PUMP. WHEN I AM DRIVING AND MAKING A TURN OUT OF NO WHERE THE STEERING GETS REALLY TIGHT AND I ALMOST HAVE TO FORCE THE CAR TO TURN. WHEN I PARK THE CAR AND LET IT SIT FOR A WHILE THEN THE STEERING IS FINE AGAIN. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. I HAVE HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED AND EVERYONE SAYS THAT THE BATTERY ALTERNATOR AND STARTER ARE ALL PERFECT. THEY CANNOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG. CLEARLY THERE IS SOMETHING WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE 2013. THE ATTACHED IMAGES SHOW THE BACKUP CAMERA FLICKERING AND DISTORTED IMAGES. EXACTLY 2 MINUTES LATER I RESTARTED THE VEHICLE AND THE IMAGES WERE PERFECT. ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS, AS THE CAR HEATS UP, THE ABS FUSE SEEMS TO LOSE CONTACT. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, ABS/ESP (STABILITY CONTROL), FORWARD COLLISION WARNING, AND ADAPTIVE CRUISE DISABLE. IT HAS HAPPENED BOTH WHILE STATIONARY AND MOVING. IF USING ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, ACCELERATION AND SPEED MAINTENANCE WILL STOP, AND COULD RESULT IN AN ACCIDENT (THOUGH IT HAS NOT YET). A SIMILAR CHRYSLER CASE HAS BEEN OPENED AND LINKED TO THE POLICE VARIANT OF A CAR ON THE SAME PLATFORM WITH SAME ENGINE. POLICE CARS USE DODGE CHARGERS WITH HEMI V8, WHICH IS THE SAME PLATFORM AS THE CHRYSLER 300 WITH A HEMI V8, WITH MOSTLY COSMETIC ISSUES. THE FUSE IS NOT BLOWN, AND UPON THE CAR COOLING DOWN, THE SYSTEM IS RESTORED, HOWEVER, ON JOURNEYS IN WHICH THE ENGINE HEAT RISES, THE SYSTEM GOES OFFLINE. IT SEEMS AS THOUGH THIS MAY BE A COMMON ISSUE IN THIS PLATFORM, HOWEVER, THE TSB ONLY WENT TO THE POLICE CAR VARIANT OF ESSENTIALLY THE SAME CAR. WHEN THE ISSUE HAPPENS WHILE THE CAR IS MOVING, IF THE DRIVER HAS THE BRAKES APPLIED, A BANG/GRIND/SCRAPE SOUND (SUCH AS WHAT IS HEARD WHEN THE ABS ACTUALLY ENGAGES) CAN BE HEARD.

MY 2012 CHRYSLER 300 3.6L V6 WENT IN BATTERY SAVE MODE AS I WAS DRIVING THEN SHUT OFF. IT WOULD NOT START SO I BOOST IT OFF AND WAS ABLE TO GET IT STARTED. I DROVE A CIRCLE AROUND THE APARTMENT COMPLEX AND THE CAR BEGIN TO SMOKE. THE 180AMP ALTERNATOR WAS SMOKING AND BURNING UP. I CHANGED THE ALTERNATOR AND REPLACED THE BATTERY. NOW THE CAR CRANKS AND STAY RUNNING BUT WILL NOT DRIVE. NO DASH LIGHTS ARE WORKING AND I CAN NOT PUT IT INTO GEAR. IF I TURN THE WHEEL TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT COMPLETELY THEN THE A/C AND DASH LIGHTS N RADIO WORK BUT THE CAR STILL WILL NOT GO INTO MY DESIRED GEAR. SINCE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE ON MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND AT CHRYSLER, LITTLE FALLS NJ OF 2014, I HAVE HAD NOTHING BUT ISSUES. FROM ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS, TO THE AIRBAG ISSUES, TO LATER SPENDING OVER 1300 IN REPAIRING THE ALTERNATOR. WITHIN THE 1ST FEW DAYS OF THE PURCHASE THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON IN WHICH I IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT THE CAR IN FOR REPAIR AND THE MECHANIC STATED THAT THERE WERE NO ISSUES FOUND. UNFORTUNATELY, IT WAS TOO LATE TO CANCEL THE PURCHASE, PER FLO I HAD SIGNED THE CONTRACT AND CANNOT CANCEL THE DEAL. AFTER BECOMING VERY FRUSTRATED WITH THE CONTINUOUS ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE AND LACK OF CUSTOMER SERVICE, I CONTACTED CORPORATE CHRYSLER, IN WHICH CAITLIN CONTACTED ME AND SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH RT1 CHRYSLER IN LAWRENCEVILLE NJ AROUND 7/2015, IN WHICH THEY STATED THAT THE AIR BAG HAD SPLICED WIRES. A FEW DAYS FROM TAKING THE VEHICLE HOME THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME BACK ON. I CONTACTED CAITLIN TO REPORT THAT THE ISSUE STILL EXIST IN WHICH SHE NEVER CALLED ME BACK. I CALLED HER FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. I THEN TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE CHRYSLER IN CHERRY HILL AND THE ONE IN LUMBERTON, ALL STATED NO ISSUES FOUND, EVEN AFTER BRINGING IT IN WHEN THE ALTERNATOR WENT ON IT. I ALSO BROUGHT IT IN TO THE CHRYSLER IN LUMBERTON SINCE THE CAR HAD LOST POWER/ENGINE KNOCKING AND THEY STATED NOTHING WAS WRONG UNTIL I BROUGHT IT BACK TO CHERRY HILL CHRYSLER AND THEY FOUND THAT IT WAS ENGINE PROBLEMS. ONE OF THE ATTENDANTS CHECKED MY BATTERY AND SAID THE BATTERY WAS DRAINED, I HAD THEM RECHARGE IT. I HAD TO GET THE CAR TOWED SINCE THE CAR WAS INOPERABLE. I PICKED UP THE BATTERY THIS MORNING AND TURNED THE CAR ON, AND ALL THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM STARTED TO FLICKER SO I JUST TURNED OF THE CAR. I READ IN TO THE VEHICLES RECALLS AND I NOTICED THAT RECALL #P6O IS EXACTLY WHAT MY CAR WAS DOING LAST NIGHT. I CALLED CHRYSLER TODAY AND THEY REFUSE TO FIX IT DUE TO MY CAR NOT BEING AFFECTED BY THIS RECALL BUT IT OBVIOUSLY HAS BEEN. IS THERE ANYTHING THAT I CAN DO TO MAKE MY CAR PART OF THIS RECALL? AROUND 3 WEEKS AGO. MY ESC LIGHT CAME ON I WASN'T SURE EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS AT FIRST. I DID A SEARCH ON THE INTERNET AND NOTICED THAT THERE WAS INFORMATION ABOUT A RECALL REGARDING ESC LIGHT. SO I CALLED THE RECALL PHONE NUMBER AND THEY CHECKED WITH THE GLENDALE CHRYSLER AND SET ME UP A APPOINTMENT FOR ONE WEEK LATER AT 9AM. THE DAY I WENT TO THE GLENDALE LOCATION WHEN I ARRIVED I WENT UP AND SPOKE WITH THE PERSON WHO WAS HANDLING MY SITUATION. I THOUGHT BEING THAT I HAD THE 9AM APPOINTMENT AND I WAITED ONE WEEK I WOULD BE THE FIRST PRIORITY. INSTEAD SEVERAL PEOPLE WENT AHEAD OF ME AND THEY DIDN'T EVEN LOOK AT MY CAR TILL 1PM. AT THE END OF EVERYTHING I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO PAY TO GET THIS PROBLEM FIXED. I FELT AS IF THEY WAS NOT REALLY TRYING TO HELP ME AND TRIED TO COME UP WITH ANOTHER REASON WHY THE LIGHT WAS ON. SO I WENT HOME AND CALLED THE RECALL NUMBER BACK AND EXPLAINED TO THEM I WASN'T COMFORTABLE WITH THE SITUATION. SO THEY CALLED THE DOWNTOWN LA LOCATION AND THEY SAID THEY DON'T HAVE THE PART AND THEY CANT ORDER THE PART. THE REPRESENTATIVE THEN CALLED THE INGLEWOOD LOCATION AND THEY SAID THEY WOULD FORWARD THE INFORMATION TO THE SUPERVISOR AND SOMEONE WOULD GET BACK IN A COUPLE OF DAYS. THAT CALL WAS MADE ON WED JULY 15TH AND AS OF TODAY JULY 20TH I HAVE NOT HEARD ANYTHING. I LOOKED DOWN AND THE MESSAGE CENTER SAID "BATTERY SAVING MODE". I HAD JUST PUT A NEW BATTERY ON LESS THAN 4 MONTHS AGO. THEN I HEARD A WHIRRING NOISE UNDER THE HOOD AND THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT ACCELERATE UP A HILL. THE RED OUTLINE OF A BATTERY APPEARED ON THE DASH. I TOOK THE CAR BACK HOME AND PARKED IT -- THEN HAD TO HAVE A NEW ALTERNATOR INSTALLED THE NEXT DAY. MECHANIC SAID THERE WAS DEFINITE EVIDENCE OF THE ALTERNATOR BURNING UP.
