TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE AND VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY. There is a backorder(700) from the factory on this product and the wait is at least 3 months! This problem has been confirmed by the dealership as well as the backorder. The vehicle will not go in gear even with the engine running. The message displays as vehicle is already in desired gear even when it is not, and you cannot put it unto any gear even neutral, as it gets stuck in park!. The code is PO658, and the CHECK ENGINE light is illuminated and can happen without warning while vehicle is parked, stopped or idling so far as I experienced. The ignition will not turn off and the battery must be disconnected in order not to drain the battery. If this were to happen in traffic or or an intersection we all could have been KILLED. It has happened 4 times to us, Two times it started working on its own and Two times requiring a tow which cost me $600. Once at the dealer they charge a $140 non-refundable diagnosis fee and then can't fix the problem because they don't have the parts and can't get them. I think allowing Vehicles to have electronic shifting transmissions instead of manual shifters is a HUGE safety risk! The car only has 70K Highway miles on it and even if it was under warranty we can't get the darn parts. The dealer has to install it because it has to be programmed. The transmission is manufactured by ZF in Germany and they make others for several other car manufacturers. Chrysler uses this transmission across their entire fleet so this failure defect could show up in any of their product line

The contact owns a 2014 Chrysler 300. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number 16V240000 (Power Train). The contact stated while driving at approximately 45 MPH, the vehicle hesitated and entered into Limp Mode. Additionally, the contact stated that when he depressed the brake pedal to stop at a stop light, he noticed a dark cloud of smoke coming from the hood of the vehicle. An unknown warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed by an independent mechanic and determined that the gear shifter needed to be replaced. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that recalls on the vehicle were previously performed. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

The car will consistently slip from park to reverse when you try to exit the car. You have to push the shifter into park twice for it to remain in park. Very dangerous, as it WILL be in reverse if you are not careful exiting the car.

On or about February 17, 2022, the referenced 300C was taken to Elk Grove Chrysler due to a malfunction with the electronic shift. The car jumped into Park while in motion which was a Safety risk to others as well as myself. After consulting with service team, I was informed that the car had to undergo a diagnostic. A day later I was informed that there was a fault with the electronic shift which required repaired; however, parts were not in stock at this location. I was informed parts had to be ordered and would take approximately 2-3 weeks due to logistical issues. On Monday, February 28, 2022, technician reported that a part was received for the upper mechanism; however, it was determined that the lower mechanism needed repair. With this being said, these are the concerns I would like to address due to disagreement with the process. 1. This electronic shift was previously repaired in May 2014, due to recall. This issue could have resulted in a major safety issue. 2. Why is a Consumer paying for a "Repair to a Repair?" 3. As a Consumer with a low mileage vehicle under 59,000, why must I be responsible to pay Chrysler for a repair that is a "Safety Issue" and a factory recall issue. Obviously, this is a manufacture concern created by Chrysler. This was due to no fault of the consumer. In closing, as a Disabled widowed Senior Citizen having the car jump into parking during my travels affected my anxiety; causing a panic attack. This repair issue is affecting my health and livelihood. I have been without a vehicle and a means to take care of quality of life tasks. Thank you for your time and attention to my concern.

I have been having trouble with my cruise control lately. If I start my car remotely and then drive my cruise control won't turn on unless I hold down all 4 buttons on my steering wheel. When this happens I also end up having difficulties disengaging it and there will be a 1-2 mph difference from what the cruise speed is set as to what speed the vehicle is actually traveling. I noticed there was a safety recall in regards to this issue that was issued on 05/17/2018 but my Vin didn't register for that recall so I'm wondering if my car was missed or if there are more vehicles like mine having this same issue that wasn't taken care of in the last recall issued.

From a red light, I proceeded through intersection once light turned green. My engine stalled & coasted to outside highway lane with no warning lights ot any other sign of a problem. I parked on the shoulder and the car did not re-start. Twenty minutes later, It re-started with no further problems.

Normally when u turn on the car it says press the brake pedal to start engine in the message, but in my situation it says press clutch pedal to start engine but the problem is that my car is an automatic my car doesn't have clutch what can I do?

I PURCHASED A CHRYSLER 300 YEAR 2014 USED FROM CHRYSLER DEALER IN MESA AZ. ON 4/22/2015. THE CAR WAS WHAT WE WANTED AND WE ALSO PURCHASED THE MOPAR EXTENDED WARRANTY AT THE TIME. AT THE TIME OF PURCHASE NO MENTION WAS MADE THAT THE VEHICLE IN QUESTION WOULD NOT BE SAFE AT NIGHT TO DRIVE. I HAVE HAD MANY CONVERSATIONS WITH DEALER STAFF OVER LAST YEAR AND A HALF AS TO THE PROBLEM WITH NO RESULT. HERE IS THE PROBLEM WHEN TURNING A CORNER AT DARK YOU LOSE ALL SIDE VISION IF YOU ARE IN AN AREA WITHOUT STREET LIGHTING. APPARENTLY CHRYSLER HAS BUILT A CAR WITHOUT LIGHTING THAT LETS YOU SEE ANYTHING THAT IS NOT STRAIGHT AHEAD. WHEN I BEGAN TO INVESTIGATE THIS WITH CHRYSLER REP. AS NO ONE AT DEALERSHIP SEEMED TO KNOW ABOUT THE PROBLEM WE FOUND THE PROBLEM. YOU WILL SEE BY THE EMAILS I HAVE ATTACHED THAT CHRYSLER KNOWS OF PROBLEM. THEY EVEN HAVE AN OPTION TO FIX CALLED STEERING DIRECTED LIGHTING. HOWEVER I AM TOLD IT CANNOT BE PUT ON MY VEHICLE. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE IN THAT THE VEHICLE IS TOTALLY UNSAFE TO DRIVE AFTER DARK IN AN AREA OUTSIDE OF CITY LIGHTS. LIGHTING IS TO DIM, CANNOT SEE THE ROAD VERY WELL AT NIGHT AND THERE IS NO SIDE VISION AT ALL DUE TO THE DIMNESS OF THE LIGHTS. IF AN ANIMAL WERE TO JUMP IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE, IT WOULD NOT BEE SEEN UNTIL IT WAS DIRECTLY IN FRONT OF THE CAR. IF SOMEONE IS WALKING ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD GETTING READY TO CROSS THE STREET AND THE CAR IS GETTING READY TO TURN ONTO THAT STREET, THE PEDESTRIAN WOULD NOT BE SEEN AT ALL!

The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the engine. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to Technical Service Bulletin: 09-002-14. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 96,000.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed that the oil filter housing was leaking and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and stated that the VIN was not included in a recall and a case was filed. The failure mileage was 132,197.

CAR HAS APPROX. 42525 LIMES. COMING FROM TRIP, HEARD LOUD ENGINE NOISE. WENT TO DEALER, FOUND PIPE FROM CATALYTIC TO MUFFLER BURNT OFF. DISCOVERED A KINK IN EXHAUST PIPE THAT WAS THERE WHEN MANUFACTURED AND IT CAUSED STRESS ON THE BEND FROM THE MUFFLER TO THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. HAD TO REPLACE ENTIRE SYSTEM FROM CATALYTIC BACK. NOT A CHEAP FIX BUT ONLY ONE THAT WAS AVAILABLE. DEALER DID A STAR CASE # 101881957. BUT TO DTE UNABLE TO GET ANY CONFIRMATION FROM CHRYSLER AS HAVING RECEIVED THIS.

DRIVING THE CAR UNDER NORMAL LOAD,S TARTED TO NOTICE A KNOCK FROM THE ENGINE. OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS IT PROGRESSIVELY GOT WORSE. PULLED PLUGS, CHECKED OIL. GAS, PUT A BOROSCOPE DOWN THE SPARK PLUG HOLES LOOKING FOR ENGINE DAMAGE. FINALLY HAD TO HAVE THE CAR SENT TO THE SHOP. WHEN THEY GOT THE MOTOR TORN DOWN THE BAD LIFTER WAS DISCOVERED. UPON SEEING THAT & DOING SOME RESEARCH THERE ARE QUITE A FEW POSTS ON FORUMS ABOUT THE MDS LIFTERS ON THE 5.7 & 6.4 HEMIS GOING BAD & DESTROYING A CAM. I HAVE HAD OIL ANALYSIS DONE ON MOST OIL CHANGES THROUGH OUT OWNER SHIP BUT THIS WASN'T PICKED UP ON FROM THE LAST ONE. NOT SURE IF IT WENT OUT QUICK & DESTROYED THE CAM OR IF IT HAD BEEN HAPPENING FOR A WHILE. CAR ONLY HAS AROUND 75000 MILES.

When the weather is very cold or it is raining or snowing my sunroof leaks into my car. The windshield fogs up and I am not able to drive the vehicle and the rear seat and floor is usually wet.

I recently purchased this vehicle used with roughly 50,000k miles and drove it for three weeks with no issue. Suddenly, one morning, the motor would not start when pushing the Start Button. Instead the Start button became locked in the Run position but the engine did not engage. I removed my foot from the brake, pushed Start again and it would not return to the Off position. I opened the door thinking maybe it would reset this problem..... the entire dash Icons, headlights, Nav screen, tachometer, and speedometer start flashing and the windshield wipers are going, while stuck in in the off position. A very low pulsating sound is emanating from the engine compartment. I ran to the trunk to disconnect the battery, with the key fob in my pocket, but the button on lid does not open the lid. I run back to the dash and push the trunk release but received no result. I pulled the rear seats down crawled into the trunk and pulled the emergency trunk release and was finally able to open it. Instead of disconnecting the battery, I attempted to jump it with another vehicle. The vehicle was still in the Run position and all of the other components were continuing to malfunction as stated above. The vehicle "started" and began emmiting exhaust but I still had no response in the gas peddle. I then attempted to turn the vehicle to the off position, which worked only after jumping the vehicle and emitting the exhaust. Once the vehicle was shut off I attempted to restart the vehicle as usually and it worked no problem. It has started and ran fine for 2 days but I am extremely concerned about my safety in driving this vehicle due to reading other consumer experiences with a malfunctioning TIPM in this model and year of vehicle.

My car randomly switches gears by its self . I will put it into drive start driving and it will randomly jerk its self into park and my shifter is electric I believe . This is very unsafe while I’m driving with my family for my car to be switching gears on its own

I have a 2014 Chrysler 300 S the Oil Filter Housing Is Leaking on and around wiring that could cause the warm or hot oil to leak on wires and cause an electrical engine fire the Manufacturer was contacted and they stated that my Vin Number was not included with the recall that was already issued and because my Vin was not included Manufacturer refused to repair the issue

SOMETIMES WHEN GOING OVER A BUMP BREAKS MAKE A GRINDING NOISE. SOMETIMES I DO NOT HAVE TO GO OVER A BUMP. ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS COME ON DAILY AND FOR MOST OF THE DAY. HAD A SHOP CHECK THE BREAKS AND THEY SAID THEY ARE FINE. AT LEAST THEY ARE NOT WORN DOWN. WHAT IS CAUSING THIS NOISE? IT IS KIND OF SCARY. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR ALMOST A YEAR BUT THIS COMPLAINT IS DATED FOR TODAY AUG 8 2018. WHEN THE LIGHTS FIRST STARTING COMING ON MY CAR ACTING LIKE I WAS TAPPING THE BREAKS 4 OR 5 TIMES BUT THAT PART STOPPED A FEW MONTHS AGO.

I HAD A LOW IMPACT CRASH AFTER I APPLIED MY BRAKES AT APPROXIMATELY 2-300 FEET BEFORE THE VEHICLE IN FRONT OF ME. MY TIRES ARE GOOD AND THERE WERE NO INDICATOR LIGHTS ON MY DASHBOARD PRIOR TO THE CRASH. I SLID APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET INTO A CAR STOPPED ON THE HIGHWAY, BECAUSE OF A PRIOR ACCIDENT IN MY LANE. WHEN I BEGAN APPLYING THE BRAKES, I WAS TRAVELING 60 MPH. I TRAVELED ANOTHER 4-5 SECONDS INTO THE BACK OF A VEHICLE. NO AIRBAGS DEPLOYED. I WAS UNABLE TO STOP THE CAR! I THINK SOMETHING MALFUNCTIONED. THE COLLISION CENTER MECHANIC WHO IS WORKING ON MY CAR, TELLS ME THAT IF THERE WAS NO INDICATOR LIGHT PRIOR TO THE CRASH, THEN THERE WAS NO CODE THROWN TO THE EVENT DATA RECORDER. THEREFORE, HE SAYS THE ONLY THING HE COULD DO IS TEST DRIVE IT AFTERWORDS AND TRY AND DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE FOR 9 YEARS, AND TAKEN IT IN FOR NUMEROUS OIL CHANGES AND MULTI-POINT INSPECTIONS. ONE ITEM THAT IS INCLUDED TO BE SERVICED IS TO CHECK AND TOP OFF (IF NEEDED) THE POWER STEERING FLUID. DUE TO WHERE THE POWER STEERING RESERVOIR AND PUMP IS LOCATED, THE PASSENGER SIDE TIRE AND FENDERWELL COVER MUST BE REMOVED TO ACCESS THE TWO PARTS. THIS IS QUITE A BIT OF LABOR FOR AN OIL CHANGE AND MULTI-POINT INSPECTION, YET THE SERVICE REP ASSURES ME THAT THE STEERING FLUID HAS BEEN CHECKED, EVEN THOUGH THE NOISE AND STIFF STEERING IS STILL PRESENT. MY CONCERN IS THAT DEALERSHIPS ARE NOT CHECKING THE POWER STEERING FLUID DUE TO A FAULTY LOCATION DESIGN AND THE LABOR REQUIRED TO ACCESS THE PARTS THAT NEED SERVICING FOR ROUTINE MAINTAINANCE; THE ALTERNATIVE FOR THEM IS A PROFITABLE STEERING PUMP REPLACEMENT. FROM MY OBSERVATION, THE FENDERWELL COVER HAS NEVER LOOKED AS THOUGH IT WAS REMOVED TO CHECK THE STEERING FLUID.

"STEERING WHEEL" THE LEATHER WRAPPED STEERING WHEEL OF CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP AND RAM VEHICLES HAS A POOR QUALITY OF LEATHER WHICH CRACKS AND DISINTEGRATES OVER TIME, THE VEHICLE NOTED IN THIS COMPLAINT AT LESS THAN 30,000 MILES SHOWED THE MATERIAL DEFECT. IT HAS BEEN A WELL DOCUMENTED ISSUE TO WHICH FCA-CHRYSLER REFUSES TO RESPOND TOO. THE ISSUE IS THAT OVER TIME AS THE MATERIAL CONTINUES TO DETERIORATE HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BREAK APART CAUSING THE DRIVER TO LOOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE, CAUSES ISSUES WITH THE ABILITY TO CORRECTLY HOLD ONTO THE STEERING WHEEL AMONG OTHER THINGS. THE LEATHER USED IT WAS CONFIRMED BY A REPRESENTATIVE FOR FCA-CHRYSLER IN THE ORLANDO FLORIDA REGION THAT THIS OCCURS EVEN ON VEHICLES SHE OWNS AND OTHERS SHE HAS INSPECTED AND WILL NOT PROVIDE A REMEDY.

The contact stated that the check engine, transmission, and traction control warning lights were illuminated. The contact pulled over and was able to restart the vehicle after several attempts. The contact had taken the vehicle to an independent mechanic who diagnosed and determined that the engine failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V741000 (Electrical System) and referred the contact to the dealer. The vehicle was not repaired. Additionally, the contact stated that the cruise control had failed, and the light was constantly showing that the cruise control was engaged; however, the contact stated that the cruise control was not activated. I BOUGHT GOODYEAR TIRES AT A DEALERSHIP. THEY SAID THEY HAD TO ORDER THEM FROM CHRYSLER. THE DEALERSHIP HAD TO BALANCE THE TIRES 3 TIMES. I SMELLED GAS IN THE CABIN THEN LATER AFTER FILLING THE TANK, I HAD GAS RUNNING OUT UNDER THE CAR. INVESTIGATION REVEALED MELTED PLASTIC AROUND THE FUEL PUMP ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR PINS ALLOWED GAS TO LEAK ON TOP OF THE TANK THEN RUN DOWN OUT OF THE TANK. I CHANGED THE FUEL PUMP ONLY TO HAVE IT HAPPEN AGAIN 5 MONTHS LATER. THE FUEL PUMP SITS LOWER THAN THE FUEL PUMP SO WHEN THE TANK IS FULL, ABOUT 3 GALLONS OF GAS WILL LEAK OUT. I FIGURED OUT THE CAUSE WAS FROM HEAVY OBJECTS, IN MY CASE, PEOPLE SITTING IN THE BACK SEAT BUT CHILD SEATS OR POSSIBLY GROCERIES COULD EXERT PRESSURE ON THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR CAUSING THE PINS TO HEAT UP AND MELT THE PLASTIC. I INSTALLED AN UPGRADED FUEL PUMP COVER MADE OUT OF ALUMINUM AVAILABLE AT WWW.FUELCONNECTORFIRE.COM AND AFTER MORE THAN A YEAR HAVE NOT HAD ANY MORE ISSUES.

THE DEALER STATED THAT THERE WAS AN OVERFLOW FILTER THAT RAN WITH THE FUEL LINES CALLED THE FUEL CANISTER. THE DEALER STATED THAT IT WAS THE CONTACT'S FAULT FOR OVERFILLING THE FUEL TANK, WHICH CAUSED THE FUEL ODOR INSIDE THE VEHICLE. ON OCTOBER 1, 2019, THE CONTACT FILLED UP THE FUEL TANK AND THE VEHICLE STALLED, SPUTTERED, AND RETURNED TO NORMAL. WHEN THE CONTACT ARRIVED HOME, HE SMELLED FUEL AND NOTICED FUEL LEAKING FROM THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE QUARTER PANEL. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE SAME DEALER WHERE THE LEAK WAS NOTICED CLOSE TO THE EXHAUST SYSTEM. THE DEALER CALLED BACK AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT HE OVERFILLED THE VEHICLE AGAIN. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER AND THEY SIDED WITH THE DEALER; HOWEVER, THEY STATED THAT THEY WOULD DO FURTHER INVESTIGATING. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO GET A SECOND OPINION AT ANOTHER DEALER. THE CONTACT INFORMED BOTH THE DEALER AND MANUFACTURER THAT HE SAW NO OVERFLOW OF FUEL ON THE GROUND. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 34,000.

EVIDENTLY THIS PARTICULAR VEHICLE (AS WELL AS MANY OTHERS) ARE NOT ACTUALLY INTENDED TO BE FLEX-FUEL DESPITE CHRYSLER'S PRIOR ANNOUNCEMENTS AND THERE IS NO WARNING WHATSOEVER THAT THESE VEHICLES MAY NOT BE OPERATED ON A MIXTURE OF GAS-ETHANOL. THIS ISSUE COULD CAUSE SERIOUS INJURY OR LOSS OF LIFE IF THE FUEL PUMP WERE TO FAIL DURING OPERATION ON THE ROAD.

The front passenger door panel has separated at the top leaving an open gap between the window and the door. It appears that the rubber molding was not manufactured properly and as heat from the sun warms up the molding, it deforms, pulls up and separates. The problem has continued to worsen over time and is approaching the door locking mechanism. It is also now possible for water to get to the inside of the door. This is a NON-MOVING PART that was defective at the time of manufacture, but took time to malfunction.

My car has been at the first dealership (Brewbaker Dodge, Montgomery, Ala.) on November 11, 2020. I got the car back March of 2021. The problem of misfires on cylinder 1 side, hesitation when proceeding from a red light, and stalling out. The problem continued so; I took it to another dealership (Stiver Dodge, Prattville, Ala.) in August 2021. I was given the car back in February 2022 stating to me that the problem may correct itself after being driven until after my birthday (March 2022). So, to this date my car is still at the Dealership and Chrysler Star Team has no clue what is wrong with this car. I'm still paying a car note, insurance, and renewing the license plate for this car every year and moth. Chrysler knows that there is an issue with the 3.6L Pentastar engine. No one wants to help me in this situation, but all parties involved wants my money but no real solution(s). I need someone that's going to advocate for me on my behalf. I just want Chrysler at this point to just put a new engine in the dang car and cover the charges at their expense for their defective engine. Chrysler seriously knows what's going. As long as my car has been at this Dealership For over a year, how could the engineers who designed this engine not know what's wrong with? This car has very low miles to be 8yrs old with major issue. And FCA doesn't want to admit to this engine (3.6L Pentastar) being a defective engine. Look at the class action lawsuits pertaining to this. Please Sir / Ma'am help me make sense of this. Thank you.

IT WAS DURING THIS TIME THAT IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT MUFFLER EXHAUST PIPE HAD RUSTED AND COME APART THUS CALLING THE CAR TO SOUND AS LOUD AS AN 18 WHEELER. I WAS INFORMED BY THE MECHANIC THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THIS CAR AND THE DODGE CHARGER . THE REPAIR COST ON THIS WAS ESTIMATED TO BE 800.00 - 1100.00 DOLLARS ALONE. ON 01-17-2015 LESS THAN A MONTH AGO. WHILE DRIVING HOME, THE CAR SURGED/HESITATED AND SEEMED TO LOSE POWER. I ALSO NOTICED THE CHECK ENGINE ICON ILLUMINATED. I WAS ABLE TO MOVE TO THE EXPRESSWAY SHOULDER AND SHUT THE ENGINE THEN RESTARTED IT, BUT THE CHECK ENGINE ICON STILL WAS ILLUMINATED, AND THE SHIFTER WOULD NOT SHIFT. IT WAS LOCKED. NO P, R, N, D, OR S. I TRIED TO MAKE A TELEPHONE CALL VIA THE VEHICLE'S BLUETOOTH BUT ALL MY DATA BASE WAS GONE. IT WAS WORKING EARLIER IN THE DAY. I SHUT THE ENGINE AND EXITED THE CAR TO MAKE A CELL PHONE CALL. WHEN I RE-ENTERED THE CAR I WAS ABLE TO ENGAGE THE SHIFTER TO THE DRIVE POSITION, BUT THE CHECK ENGINE ICON WAS STILL ILLUMINATED, AS WELL AS OTHER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ICONS WERE MISSING AND SOME WERE PRESENT THAT SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN. HOWEVER THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE UNTIL ABOUT 3000 RPM. WHEN IT FINALLY DID MOVE, IT MOVED VERY SLOWLY, RELATIVE TO THE ENGINE SPEED. FINALLY IT SHIFTED TO A HIGHER GEAR AND SEEMED TO DRIVE NORMALLY. I EXITED THE EXPRESSWAY AND DROVE AROUND THE RESIDENTIAL AREA TO RE-ASSURE MYSELF THAT THE CAR WOULD GET ME HOME SAFELY. IT WAS LATE SATURDAY NIGHT AND THE DEALER WAS CLOSED. I RE-ENTERED THE EXPRESSWAY TO RERUN TO MY HOME. I NEVER KNEW WHAT GEAR THE TRANSMISSION WAS IN. PADDLE SHIFTERS WERE INOPERATIVE. WHILE DRIVING HOME I THE NAVIGATION MAP WAS INTERMITTENTLY GLITCHING, INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ICONS SOME MISSING MANY FLASHING. ALSO NO CELL PHONE. THE DEALER CLAIMED THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED, BUT THE WORK ORDER STATED 181905A1 TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE, SOFTWARE FLASHED. I ASSUMED THE PROBLEM WAS CORRECTED BUT BECAUSE IT TOOK PLACE ONLY ONE MONTH OLD CAR, I BECAME APPREHENSIVE. THEY NEVER MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT THE ELECTRONIC/TIPM FAILURES THAT OCCURRED WITH THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER. AT THIS TIME I HAD NO IDEA WHAT A TIPM WAS ! SLIGHTLY MORE THAN ONE MONTH LATER MY VEHICLE FAILED AGAIN THAT WAS A TIPM FAILURE.

I WAS DRIVING APPROX 60-65 MPH WHEN VEHICLE LOST ALL POWER, NO STEERING, BRAKES OR CONTROL OF CAR. I PULLED OFF ROAD (LUCKY), RESTARTED VEHICLE AND IT HIGH RPM AND VEHICLE NOT GOING ANYWHERE. TOWED VEHICLE INTO DEALERSHIP WHERE NOTHING WAS FOUND WRONG. IN THE MAIL I RECEIVE A P60 RECALL FOR THE ALTERNATOR WHICH WERE LL THESE SYMPTOMS, INDICATING UNSAFE DRIVING CONDITIONS. GREAT!!! NOT!!!! NO ALTERNATORS TO BE FOUND. I WAS TOLD TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE AS IS. THIS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES AND TOWED BACK INTO DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY SEE NO ISSUES. THEY INSIST I DRIVE THIS DEATH TRAP. I ASKED IF THEY WOULD PUT THEIR FAMILY IN THE CAR AND THEY SAID "NO". SO OF COURSE I SAY BUT YOU WAN TME TO PUT MY FAMILY IN THAT CAR? AFTER TWO MONTHS OF BACK AND FORTH, I GET A NEW ALTERNATOR PUT IN. I TEST DRIVE WITH MANAGER, ALL SEEMS WELL UNTIL A WEEK LATER. THE VEHICLE HIT HIGH RPM 6000-7000 WITH NO CONTROL OVER ACCELERATOR AND CAR DIDN'T GO OVER 25 MPH. YES ALL OF THIS WITH NO RENTAL FROM CHRYSLER, NO HELP FROM THEM AS WELL. VEHICLE WAS IN CRUISE CONTROL MODE SET AT 70MPH. VEHICLE IN FRONT OF MINE WAS GOING SLOWER MY VEHICLE SLOWED DOWN AUTOMATICALLY AS IT IS DESIGNED TO DO. I PROCEEDED TO LEFT LANE TO PASS THE OTHER VEHICLE (TRUCK) AS I BEGAN PASSING MY VEHICLE ACCELERATED TO A SPEED OF OVER 85MPH WITHOUT MY TOUCHING EITHER THE GAS PEDAL OR THE RES BUTTON OF THE CRUISE FEATURE. I THEN HAD TO CANCEL THE CRUISE CONTROL FEATURE AND BRAKE THE CAR TO SLOW DOWN. IT WAS TERRIFYING. THIS HAPPENED MORE THEN ONCE DURING MY TRIP. I HAD THE VEHICLE INTO CHRYSLER BEFORE BECAUSE THE COMPUTER TURNED THE HEATED SEAT FEATURE AND HEATED STEERING WHEEL FEATURE ON WITHOUT MY TOUCHING THE BUTTONS. BRAND NEW 2014 CHRYSLER 300 S PURCHASED 12/5/2014 . 595 MILES ON ODO TODAY, 1/17/2015. DRIVING HOME TODAY I NOTICED A SPLIT SECOND SURGE, LIKE THE BRAKES GRABBED, LIKE THE CAR LURCHED. SHORTLY AFTER I NOTICED THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. PULLED OVER AND SHUT/STARTED THE ENGINE. CHECK ENGINE STILL THERE. STARTED OUT FROM THE CURB, AND THE ENGINE REVVED TO APPROX. 3000 BUT THE CAR BARELY MOVED, THE TRANSMISSION LAGGED RELATIVE TO ENGINE SPEED. [I.E.NOT ENGAGING OR SLIPPING]. GRADUALLY IT PICKED UP SPEED. STOPPED AGAIN SAME THING. TRIED TO SHIFT TO SPORT MODE WITH OUT SUCCESS....NO SPORT MODE, SO PADDLE SHIFTERS ALSO FAILED . I COULD SHIFT TO P,R,N,D. NOT SPORT MODE. A SHORT WHILE AFTER I WAS HOME, I STARTED THE CAR, CHECK ENGINE STILL LIT. WHILE STILL PARKED NOW I COULD SHIFT TO SPORT MODE. DROVE A SHORT DISTANCE IN DRIVE, BUT ECO NOT SHOWING IN INFOMAT DISPLAY. SPORT MODE/PADDLE SHIFTERS NOW WERE WORKING BUT WOULD NOT SHIFT TO 8TH GEAR. PRIOR TO THIS EVENT, AND HOURS BEFORE IT TOOK PLACE.....I PAIRED MY CELL PHONE AND IT AUTOMATICALLY LOADED ALL MY CONTACTS. I USED BOTH CONTACTS AND VOICE RECOGNITION TO MAKE CALLS NO PROBLEMS. SO IT WAS WORKING GREAT EARLIER IN THE DAY. WHEN THE TRANSMISSION PROBLEM TOOK PLACE [EXPLAINED ABOVE] I TRIED TO MAKE A CALL, AND THE SCREEN SHOWED "NO PHONE CONNECTED"..
