The uconnect 8.4 radio navigation can't find a satellite to operate properly. Also the screen is delaminating and making it so selected buttons don't work. Since this is an information and entertainment system that controls everything, including radio, navigation, and hand-free phoning, temperature of the seating, it causes a huge distraction while driving. And the gps not working causes location problems. I believe this also is how the company can find the vehicle if lost. I have taken the vehicle to the dealership and they can do an update but also state that the this could cause the entire system might not work at all afterwards. Not guarantee that this won't cause more harm than good. As many of these systems that have this problem, there should be a recall to fix this.

I am currently experiencing electrical issues with my radio and backup camera. My radio will only play one radio station and nothing else. I cannot use bluetooth or apple carplay from my phone to my radio. The radio volume does not work as well, the backup camara sometime stays on a black screen causing vision impairment issues. The radio sometimes plays really loud noises causing me to get very distracted. If someone can please contact me regarding these issues. I do not feel safe driving my car due to these electrical issues as they're causing serious distractions while I drive.

My 2017 Chrysler 300s has a screen that is delaminating which started about a year ago and now it's causing horrible issues. Just the other day on a trip home, I had my car play going and all of a sudden the screen was just clicking on icons randomly everywhere. And then it started making calls to both my son and daughter. There was nothing I could do as I was driving home on the freeway. When I got to my garage it took sometime for me to get it to stop. Even after I turned off the car and turned it back on it kept clicking on the icons. And then today it kept switching the radio stations as well as switching from FM to SIRRUS radio. This is a safety hazard as you become distracted by what is happening. I have not taken it in to a dealer and there is no warning when the screen will start doing whatever it wants. This is not a new problem for this model and beyond.

My UConnect system periodically goes berserk and the radio changes from FM to AM, flashing on the screen between the radio and navigation system. Bluetooth won't work. My heat control settings do what they want. My backup camera sometimes stays on. The whole system sometimes shuts down than comes back on. The back up camera issue started about a year ago and is sporadic. The radio/navigation/heating issues just started about a month ago. This too is sporadic. I never know when it is going to happen. It is extremely distracting!!!! I can take the vehicle to the local dealer for inspection upon request. I will actually need to call to get this fixed, but I am hoping to receive a recall as I have read that there is/was a class action lawsuit for UConnect problems. These issues just happen right out of the blue, there is no warning of any kind. Needless to say I am not happy!

Delaminating screen causing all sorts of issues while driving. Changing stations, favorites, attempting to make calls which could lead to calling 911 in error, turning back on after I’ve turned it off trying to avoid the car from calling randomly, adjusting climate, etc. all on its own. This is a known issue since 2015. Class action lawsuits have been filed. This is a huge safety hazard and a recall should be done. This is going to cause many crashes!

1) Going 25mph to 55mph the car started shaking. 2) I stopped at the Performance Dodge / Chrysler dealer for an evaluation of the situation. 3) Diagnosis was a loose Drive Shaft which can fall at any time. 4) $1980 for the Drive Shaft and $477 Labor. 5) It is a very unsafe situation, and the vehicle has 65,000 miles.

The oil cooler is plastic why when it holds oil and when it heats up that makes plastic expand then cools and makes it decompress. This is done over and over again, of coarse this will cause a major repair job. That the owner should not have to expense out of pocket because we did not design the car. Also this defect is not aware until you years into owning the vehicle. This is crazy and we need a recall. I was at Firestone getting alignment and was told i have a issuse brewing.

WHEN AC IS ON THERE IS A STRONG ODOR OF GASOLINE EVERY TIME WE TURN AC ON OR IF THE CAR IS IN USE FOR A LONG TIME THE ODOR IS VERY STRONG IN THE CAR, SINCE THIS ISSUE STARTED THE CAR HAS BEEN USING MORE GASOLINE AND I HAVE TO FILL UP THE TANK MORE TIMES THAN USUAL. MY CAR IS STILL UNDER MANUFACTURES WARRANTY AND I SCHEDULED A SERVICE WITH CHRYSLER TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT BUT THEY DID NOT WANT TO TAKE THE VEHICLE IN TO A SERVICE TECH BECAUSE NO ENGINE LIGHT OR NO CODE WAS PRESENT\. I HAVE TRIED TO GET THEM TO INSPECT THE FUEL LINES TO CHECK IF THERE IS A LEAK OR HAVE THEM CHECK THE AC TO SEE IF THEY CAN FIND THE CAUSE OF THE STRONG ODOR THAT WE GET WITH THE AC ON BUT HAVE HAD NO LUCK. The display screen controls the navigation and HVAC system. The contact who is deaf and relied on the navigation system for commuting. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed that the display screen might fail due to the high temperatures in Florida. The display screen needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but informed the contact that there was no recall associated with the VIN and the vehicle was out of warranty. This is the 2nd failure of the thermostat. We had the car towed to the same Chrysler dealer that fixed the first incident. We have an extended warranty that covered the first failure. This second failure is not covered due to the failed part is a mopar part and Chrysler is going to pay for everything, trouble is they have had my wife’s car for two weeks already and the part isn’t coming in until February 17, I am a 34 year retired Chrysler employee. The dealer doesn’t offer rentals, and my extended warranty people offer rentals at $35 a day and only one week. Nowhere rents cars at that price. We have no choice but to wait on that part, but I am wondering how many chrysler products have had this problem, should be investigated for recall.

The steering alert when off, The steering locked up in mid drive on interstate on several occasions. We took to dealer and to Haigler Automotive and no one could find out why the power steering locked up. The code only reads communication error. We have paid $2000. For diagnostic and repairs that they thought was related but it still losing communication to the car. We have less than 88000 miles on auto. We have owned the auto for three years. We can not afford another auto and need an auto for doctor visits. This auto was purchased based on ability to get I. And out of auto based on disability.

Then yesterday, 2/27/24, I received a warning that my ESC and ABS systems needed service and that I no longer had AWD capability. The message would stay on for several minutes, then shut off for several minutes, then come back on again.

The vehicle components started failing first with lighting and electrical malfunctions. Due to the concerns I was on the way to the mechanic on 9/16/23 when the air bags deployed on the passengers side without any impact. The Vehicle is at Chrysler dealer on central avenue Albany, NY and available for inspection. I had just dropped off my grandchildren this could have severely had a horrible impact had they been in car. Not to mention it scared me, I was not sure what was happening. I was scared to get back in the car. I was driving on interstate this is scary for anyone driving with no visibility. Chrysler currently has the vehicle since 9/19/23. I have reached out to dealer and Chrysler Corporate office with no result. They always say they will get back to me. Unless I reach out they do not respond. Claim # [XXX] with Chrysler corporation. The radio would blink in and out and if radio worked headlights did not work. If headlights worked radio and dashboard light did not work.
