My Chrysler Pacifica 2007 4.0L Shifter Check Engine Light Was On. I Took It To Get Diagnosed It Came Back Ass Gas Cap My Inboard Computer Even Read Gas-cap. So I Replaced It And The Check Engine Light Was Gone. I Say A Week Later My I Was Parked An Tried To Put The Car In Drive I Wouldn't Shift Shifter Broken Only To Find Out It Was A Piece Inside The Shifter. So I Replaced That And After Replacement Of That Now I’m Having Transmission And Electric Problems. The Car Shifts Rough And As I’m Driving The Car Doesn’t Shifts Gears Now Also Will Shift Into Auto-stick On It’s On. I’ll Put My Car Into Drive An As I’m Proceeding To Drive Say At 20mph My Rpm’s A Stay At x2000 I’ll Continue To Speed Up To 30,40 mph And My Rpm’s Will Be The Same As If My Transmission Isn’t Shifting Gears Also Hear A Whining Noise As I Drive. Replaced Transmission Inner And Outer sensors Still Having The Same Problem. Now He’s Saying My Transmission Is Shot All Together. I Put In Total $800. In repairs after the purchase of this car and its my only car RN. It’s basically idling up and not switching gears I’ve been to 3 to 5 transmission shops and auto body shops.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE STALLED INTERMITTENTLY WITHOUT WARNING. THE CONTACT COASTED TO THE SHOULDER OF THE ROADWAY, TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND WAITED APPROXIMATELY 15 MIN FOR THE VEHICLE TO RESUME NORMAL OPERATION. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO JACK WOLF CHRYSLER JEEP (1615 N STATE ST, BELVIDERE, IL 61008) TO BE DIAGNOSED HOWEVER, THE TECHNICIAN WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE OR RETRIEVE A FAULT CODE. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THAT THE FAILURE MAY BE DUE TO THE TIPM BUT, WAS UNABLE TO SAY FOR SURE THAT THE FAILURE WAS CAUSED BY THE TIPM. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE TOW TIMES AND DETERMINED THAT THE CONTROL BOARD WAS FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDE THE CONTACT WITH A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 123,000.

MY 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA 4.0 HAS ALWAYS RAN PRETTY GREAT, RIDES SMOOTH. THIS PARTICULAR DAY IT JERKED AND REVED TO 3000 RPMS WHEN I PUT MY VEHICLE INTO REVERSE, I THEN SWITCHED MY GEAR INTO DRIVE AND THE TRUCK JERKED AGAIN THEN STARTED SMOKING ON THE DRIVERS SIDE OF THE ENGINE. BY THE TIME I COULD PARK THE ENGINE CAUGHT FIRE AND SPREAD QUICKLY. I GRABBED WHAT THINGS I COULD BEFORE THE FIRE DEPARTMENT GOT THERE. THEY HAD TO PRY MY HOOD OPEN BECAUSE IT MELTED THE LATCH TO OPEN IT AND THEY CONTINUOUSLY SOAKED THE WHOLE ENGINE FOR ABOUT 5-7 MINUTES. FIRE SEEMED TO ORIGINATE AROUND THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT AREA.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH. THE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES FOR THE FAILURE WHERE THE DEALER PERFORMED A DIAGNOSTIC THAT WAS UNABLE TO LOCATE THE FAILURE. HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING A CLUNK FROM THE RIGHT WHEEL WELL FOR A FEW WEEKS. HAD MIDAS LOOK AT IT LAST WEEK WHILE REPLACING FRONT BRAKES, BUT THEY SAID THEY DIDN'T SEE ANYTHING. THIS WEEK, WAS GETTING OIL CHANGE AND TRANSMISSION FLUSHED. MENTIONED THE NOISE AGAIN, AND THIS TIME WAS TOLD THE NOISE WAS DUE TO ENGINE MOUNT FAILURE OF THE LEFT AND RIGHT ENGINE MOUNTS. I IN TURN CALLED MY LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALERSHIP SINCE I PURCHASED MY CAR WITH THE LIFETIME POWER TRAIN WARRANTY AS WELL AS AN EXTENDED WARRANTY, AND WAS TOLD THAT NEITHER ONE OF THESE WOULD COVER THE REPLACEMENT. THEN, CHRYSLER PROCEEDED TO QUOTE ME A REPLACEMENT COST THAT WAS $300 OVER MY MIDAS QUOTE. I ASKED THE TECHNICIAN, "DOESN'T THIS SEEM TO BE A PREMATURE FAILURE, SINCE I ONLY HAVE 67,000 MILES?" TO WHICH HE REPLIED, "YES IT DOES." HE ALSO SAID THE REASON THIS PART IS NOT COVERED IS BECAUSE IT IS CONSIDERED A "CONSUMABLE" PART. REALLY? CAN I BUY THAT WITH MY OIL? BUT, BASED ON ALL OF THE COMPLAINTS I HAVE SEEN ABOUT THIS ON NUMEROUS WEBSITES, ENGINE MOUNTS ARE AS CONSUMABLE AS BRAKE PADS WHERE CHRYSLER IS CONCERNED. NEEDLESS TO SAY, I TOLD THE TECHNICIAN THAT I WOULD NOT BE TAKING MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR THIS REPAIR. I CAME HOME AND DECIDED TO GOOGLE THIS PROBLEM TO SEE IF IT WAS A COMMON OCCURRENCE, AND OH MY! CHRYSLER NEEDS TO RECALL THE ENGINE MOUNTS AND REFUND THEIR CUSTOMERS WHO HAVE HAD TO PAY FOR THESE REPAIRS SINCE NONE OF THEIR WARRANTIES SEEM TO! TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR PRODUCT. FAILED MOTOR MOUNTS. I AM THE ORIGINAL OWNER OF A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A DEALER AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS HAD FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. CHRYSLER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. AND THEY STATED THAT NO RECALLS HAD BEEN ISSUED. MILEAGE AT THE TIME OF DIAGNOSIS WAS 59,000. AS THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF THE BASIC WARRANTY, AND MOUNTS ARE NOT COVERED UNDER THE POWERTRAIN WARRANTY, I WAS TOLD I HAVE NO COVERAGE FOR REPAIR OF THIS KNOWN DEFECT. MANUFACTURER SUGGESTED THAT I PAY FOR THE REPAIR AT THE DEALERSHIP, AT THE WILDLY INFLATED DEALER PRICING, AND THEN THEY WOULD SEE IF THERE WAS ANYTHING THEY COULD DO REGARDING A POSSIBLE PARTIAL REIMBURSEMENT AFTER THE FACT. I MAY HAVE BEEN DUMB ENOUGH TO BUY A CHRYSLER, BUT I'M NOT THAT DUMB. AN ESTIMATE FROM A PRIVATE GARAGE WAS 50% LESS. MY 2007 AWD CHRYSLER PACIFICA SHUT ITSELF OFF WHILE IT WAS BEING DRIVEN AT 55MPH ON A RURAL STATE HIGHWAY. THE ENTIRE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AND THERE WAS NO POER STEERING, ETC. IT WAS DETERMINED BY THE DEALER THE TIPM(CONTROL MODULE) FAILED. LUCKILY WE WERE NOT DRIVING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC OR FAR FROM HOME. ORDUS CHRYSLER INFORMED ME THAT WHEN THE TIMP GOES BAD THE VEHICLE WILL SHUT OFF AND NOT TURN BACK UNLESS TAKEN TO A DEALER.

I HAVE A CHRYSLER PACIFICA THAT AS I'VE DRIVEN IT HAS COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY OR ROAD. IT COMPLETELY SHUT OFF AS I WAS GOING THROUGH AN INTERSECTION. I'VE HAD IT IN AND OUT OF THE REPAIR SHOP FOR THE LAST 5 MONTHS AND I'VE BEEN GIVEN DIFFERENT ANSWERS AS TO WHAT'S WRONG. NONE OF THEM HAVE SOLVED THE PROBLEM. FINALLY, TODAY I FOUND A MECHANIC THAT SAID IT WAS THE TIPM! UNFORTUNATELY FROM WHAT I'VE READ THIS IS A HUGE PROBLEM IN CHRYSLERS. "TAKATA RECALL" THE VEHICLE WILL ONLY TAKE A LITTLE FUEL AT A TIME, IT WILL ONLY TAKE ABOUT 5-6 GALLONS PER FUELING STOPS AND IT WIL NO LONGER ACCEPT ANY FUEL, THERE IS A STRONG FUEL ODOR AFTER FUELING INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE, PLUS THE FUEL GAUGE SHOWS EMPTY RIGHT AFTER PUTTING FUEL IN THE TANK, LET ME ADD THAT THIS HAS HAPPENED AT LEAST 3 TIMES WITHIN THE LAST 11 YEARS OF OWNING THE VEHICLE. WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE AS A "PROGRAM VEHICLE" IN 2007 AND IT HAS BEEN A GOOD VEHICLE, I AM JUST GLAD WE PURCHASED THE EXTENDED WARRANTY.WE PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE WHEN IT HAD 29,000 MILES ON IT, IT NOW HAS 202,000 PLUS MILES ON IT.

THE GAS GAUGE DROPS TO ABSOLUTE ZERO AND THE LOW FUEL WARNING COMES ON EVEN THOUGH THERE IS PLENTY OF GAS IN THE TANK. THIS CAUSES A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WITH THE CODE U1403. THERE ARE MANY OWNERS OF 2004-2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICAS THAT HAVE THIS EXACT SAME PROBLEM. THE GENERAL CONSENSUS ON FORUMS SPECIFIC TO THIS COMMON PROBLEM IS THERE IS A GAS PRESSURE PROBLEM THAT CAUSES THE GAUGE TO NOT READ CORRECTLY. PEOPLE WHO HAVE TAKEN THEIR CAR TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR REPORT THAT THE DEALERS USUALLY SAY THE SOLUTION IS TO REPLACE BOTH FUEL PUMPS. CUSTOMERS, HOWEVER, REPORT THAT THIS IS EXPENSIVE AND USUALLY DOES NOT FIX THE PROBLEM (CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STAYS ON). MOST OWNERS SAY THE PROBLEM STEMS FROM THE POORLY DESIGNED SADDLE TANK AND BELIEVE THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE GAS PRESSURE. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER AND THEY WERE NO HELP AT ALL. TWO SEPARATE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALER. THERE HAVE BEEN HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF 2004-2007 PACIFICA OWNERS (I ALSO FOUND MANY JEEP FORUMS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM) AND SURELY CHRYSLER HAS A RECORD OF THESE PROBLEMS AND HOW TO FIX THEM. HAVING EACH OWNER TAKE THEIR CAR TO THEIR LOCAL CHRYSLER DEALER WITH NO COMMON DOCUMENTED FIX MEANS EACH OWNER IS RELYING ON TECHS THAT MAY OR MAY NOT BE AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM AND THE PROPER WAY TO FIX IT. TRIAL AND ERROR EACH TIME IS EXTREMELY WASTEFUL AND EXPENSIVE FOR THOUSANDS OF OWNERS. A RECALL WOULD AT LEAST ENSURE THAT EACH SERVICE CENTER HAS THE CORRECT INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT IS EXACTLY WRONG AND PRECISELY HOW TO FIX IT.

MUCH DIFFICULTY IN FILLING THE FUEL TANK, THE PUMP HANDLE WOULD CONTINUOUSLY SHUT OFF, AS THOUGH THE TANK WAS FULL, WE HAD TO REPEATEDLY OPERATE THE HANDLE OFF AND ON FOR SEVERAL MINUTES. THE FUEL GAUGE WOULD NEVER SHOW THE TANK AS FULL. IT WOULD ALSO, DURING NORMAL OPERATION, REACH HALF EMPTY, THEN PLUNGE TO EMPTY, SOMETIMES ILLUMINATING THE EMPTY LIGHT!! WE WERE TOLD BY OUR CHRYSLER SERVICE MANAGER, ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS, THAT OUR CAR WAS REPAIRED, IT WAS NOT REPAIRED !!!! $1500 ON A NEW FUEL TANK, AND HUNDREDS ON RENTAL CARS LATER, OUR CAR IS STILL NOT FIXED!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!

The engine cradle has rotted and engine started to fall out. It took months to find a replacement, now I am told the bolts needed are discontinued and no one at Chrysler or Mopar can tell me what size bolts & nuts are needed to put it together. The control arm came but not bolts or nuts. The engine carriage came, but no nuts & bolts. So, over $1k in parts, looks like it will need to go to the crushers for a loss of $2500 (with cost of purchase). FYI one guy one ebay is selling 1 bolt for $105.00 plus shipping.

ENGINE CRADLE HAS ROTTED THROUGH AND CRACKED. AFTER SEARCHING THE INTERNET, THIS IS VERY COMMON PROBLEM WITH CHRYSLER PACIFICAS (MODEL YEARS 2004-2008). CONTACTED CHRYSLER, AND THEY ADVISED THAT THERE ARE NO RECALLS AND WILL NOT ASSIST FURTHER.

I WAS STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT. WHEN I PUT MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR TO RESUME DRIVING, THE CAR BEGAN TO SHAKE AND THEN IT CUT OFF. I HAD TO PULL OVER AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. AFTER MY 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA FUEL GAUGE GETS BELOW 1/2 TANK, THE GAUGE STARTS DROPPING AT AN ALARMING RATE. IF I DRIVE 1 MILE IT REACTS INDICATING AS MUCH AS A 10 MILE DROP. WHILE SITTING AT A STOP LIGHT THE GAS GAUGE JUMPS AROUND BETWEEN 2 AND 3 MILES DIFFERENCES. I DO NOT GET A FULL 20 GALLON DRIVE FROM MY VEHICLE. I CAN FILL UP THE CAR BUT ONCE THE GAUGE INDICATES IT'S EMPTY THE CAR WILL NOT START. I LOGGED IT AS ONLY SHOWING 320 MILES AND GOING EMPTY, WHEN FULL THE GAUGE INDICATES 400 MILES. THE FIRST TIME I HAD TO HAVE THE MOTOR MOUNTS REPLACED ON MY 07' CHRYSLER PACIFICA WAS IN 2009. THERE WAS AN AWFUL ALMOST SLAMMING TYPE NOISE AND THE VEHICLE "JUMPED" WHEN ACCELERATING. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP, IT WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY AT THAT TIME AND THEY SAID THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE CRACKED AND THEY WOULD REPLACE THEM, BUT COULDN'T GUARANTEE HOW LONG THEY WOULD LAST. THE MECHANIC SAID THAT IT WAS "AN ISSUE" ON THE PACIFICA MODEL AS IT WAS A DESIGN FLAW AND HE HAD SEEN THIS PROBLEM OFTEN. SINCE THE FIRST TIME THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE FOUND TO BE CRACKED IN 2009, I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE MOTOR MOUNTS 2 MORE TIME AND NOW THEY ARE BROKE AGAIN; TOTALING 4 TIMES IN 7 YEARS!!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS AND UNACCEPTABLE! I HAVE CALLED CHRYSLER QUITE A FEW TIMES IN THE LAST 4 YEARS AND GOT NOWHERE! THEY COULD NOT CARE LESS THAT THE CONSUMER HAS TO PAY FOR THEIR "DESIGN FLAW"! IF I HAD KNOWN THAT I WOULD HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM KEEP REPEATING, I 100% WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE! THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE SUSTAINED SOME ABRASIONS AND WHIP LASH WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE POLICE WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED IN HER DRIVEWAY WHEN THE COMPLAINT WAS FILED. MY CAR WOULD BE HARD TO START AT TIMES, WINDOWS WOULD NOT WORK PROPERLY, ABS, BRAKE, ENGINE, TRACTION LIGHTS ALL CAME ON, AND THE CAR WOULD DIE FOR NO APPARENT REASON. I PULLED INTO A GAS STATION FOR FUEL AND UPON APPLYING BRAKES, FELT A SLIGHT SHUDDER. AFTER TURNING OFF THE ENGINE AND FUELING UP, I STARTED THE CAR AND PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT IMMEDIATELY SHUT THE ENGINE OFF. I TRIED A SECOND TIME, SAME RESULT. I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE IN REVERSE TO A PARKING SPOT, AND CONTINUED TRYING TO DRIVE FORWARD, THE ENGINE WOULD SHUT DOWN EACH TIME. I NOTICED THE ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL LIGHT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WAS ON. NOT KNOWING WHAT IT MEANT, EVENTUALLY CALLED A TOW SERVICE FOR HELP. FORTUNATELY, HOME WAS ONLY 45 MINUTES AWAY. FIRST WEEK IN JUNE I SENT MY CHRYSLER PACIFICA TO ATHENS DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP IN BOGART GA. THE STEERING WAS LOCKING UP ON MY WIFE. I FIGURED IT WAS MAYBE THE POWER STEERING. THE TECH INFORMED ME THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE AGAIN BROKEN AND THEY REPLACED THE RIGHT ONE FOR THE THIRD TIME. I READ IN SOCIAL CAR CHAT ROOMS THAT THE MOTOR MOUNTS ARE FAILING IN JUST ABOUT ALL THESE TYPE CARS, AND THAT CHRYSLER WAS NOT GOING TO COVER THE COSTS. I NOW HAVE A CAR THAT NO ONE WILL BUY OR AT LEAST I WOULDN'T BECAUSE IT CAN'T HOLD ITS OWN ENGINE. I KNOW THIS IS A CONSUMER CONCERN JUST WANTED TO POINT THAT OUT. Engine Sub Frame-AKA Engine Cradle is rotting out. Vehicle was inspected on July 6, 2023 at Jim Rielh's Chrysler -Jeep Dealership located at 32899 Van Dyke, Warren Michigan 48093. The report came back as " FOUND FRONT ENGINE CRADLE / FRAME ROTTED / RUSTED OUT." This vehicle has been well maintained and has been Safety Inspected by the same dealership in 2021 & 2022 and never advised there was a problem with the Engine Cradle. Now in 2021, three engine mounts were replaced to correct clunking noises when accelerating, but again there was never an advisement of a potential Engine Cradle Rot. The vehicle had 127, 640 miles on it when it was inspected by the dealer. The results were reported to Chrysler Customer Care via email and by phone but no response as of today.

I am requesting that NHTSA issue a recall for the known defect and serious safety hazard for the 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. These vehicles need to be recalled effective immediately and removed from our highways. The engine cradle rot poses a a risk for accidents and the manufacturer is privy to these problems and had legal action taken against them for a similar notification of different years. The 2007 models should be recalled as well. Please issue the recall and do the right thing. Who knows, you may save someone’s life who is unaware of the dangerous equipment they are driving. Not to mention the manufacturer needs to either to buy back the vehicles, pay for the costly repairs and or compensate the owners who are unable to drive their vehicle or are forced to purchase another vehicle because Chrysler and those in authority have failed and refused to act with integrity and take action to make the recall. There are countless consumers who complain of the same problems of cradle rot, but nothing has been done. RANDOM STALLING W/ ALL FUNCTIONS STOPPING. BRAKES, STEERING..ECT. TOOK IT TO SEVERAL LICENSED/CERTIFIED MECHANICS AND NOT 1 OF THEM CAN TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG. THIS HAS NEARLY CAUSED 2 SERIOUS CRASHES SO I NO LONGER ALLOW ANYONE TO RIDE IN THE CAR WITH ME. After fueling, especially if the take is full. The engine will die several times in the first 5 or more miles driven. Of course, this also means no power steering. You may be turning at an intersection, on a freeway or just traveling on a surface street. Still, you are without power and no power steering putting the car and occupants in danger. Usually, putting the car in neutral and starting gets you going again, at least until the next event. We have had as many a 5 such events on a 4.5 mile drive home form the gas station. This has now progressed. The last fill up, the nozzle cut of several times and restart over and over to finally fill the take. We knew it could take more fuel, Ultimately it took on 15 Gallons. This time, even after the second day and about 20 miles on the car it will still die at random, especially at idle, say at a stop light. Also with this phenomenon, when the gas gouge gets to just below a half of a tank reading, it may suddenly drop to (E) empty. This is not a good feeling, even though we know it is a bogus reading. The gauge may or may not read correctly at about a half tank the next time the car is started, after an overnight rest. We suspect this may relate to the saddle bag fuel tank system. Currently the check engine light is on, solid, not flashing. However, this problem after a fill up has occurred when there was no check engine light active. Our mechanic is aware of the problems and we are scheduling a visit again and will make sure he is aware of all of these issues. Safety issue, yeah, like suddenly rear-ended or t boned with loss of power and almost impossible steering without power steering. Thankfully, the emergency flashers work fine.

MY DAUGHTER GAVE ME THIS CAR FOR MY BIRTHDAY IN 2007 WITH A RED BOW ON IT. I WAS VERY SURPRISE. AFTER THE FIRST 6 MONTHS I BEGAN HAVING PROBLEMS. THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING NOW IS SOMETHING THAT WAS REPAIRED BEFORE. I HAD THIS ISSUE ABOUT 3 YEARS AGO. WHILE I AM DRIVING, THE CAR JUST SHUT OFF, STALLING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TRAFFIC. PURCHASED THE PACIFICA TOURING AWD IN SEPTEMBER/OCTOBER, 2013. IT WAS IN FABULOUS CONDITION. A COUPLE OF MONTHS LATER, I EXPERIENCED MY FIRST OF EIGHT OCCURRENCES WHEREIN THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. ONCE THE ENGINE SHUT OFF, POWER BRAKES AND POWER STEERING DIDN'T FUNCTION PROPERLY, LIKELY BECAUSE THE ENGINE WAS NO LONGER RUNNING. FIVE OF THESE EIGHT OCCURRENCES HAVE BEEN WITHIN ONE MILE OF MY RESIDENCE. ADDITIONALLY, IT OCCURRED ONCE IN A PARKING LOT, ONCE IN AN INTERSECTION, AND ONCE AS I WAS GETTING ONTO AN INTERSTATE HIGHWAY. A FEW OF THE OCCURRENCES ALMOST RESULTED IN ACCIDENTS. I WAS AT THE MERCY OF THE OTHER DRIVERS IN THOSE CASES. I HAVE SIX GRANDCHILDREN. I'M HESITANT TO TAKE THEM ON TRIPS BECAUSE I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN MY PACIFICA'S SAFETY AND RELIABILITY. DEALERSHIP SAID IT WAS BATTERY, EFFICIENT COLD CRANKING AMPS. BATTERY REPLACED. EIGHT HUNDRED DOLLARS LATER. THE PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. THE TIMES THAT STARTING FAILED THE VEHICLE WAS ALWAYS PARKED FOR THIRTY MINUTES OR MORE. THE PROBLEM BEGAN IN APRIL. THE VEHICLE IS IN EXCELLENT SHAPE. 118K MILES. THIS LETTER IS TO FILE A COMPLAINT REGARDING CHRYSLER GROUP LLC FOR REPAIRS MADE TO A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICAS FRONT ENGINE CRADLE WITHIN A 10-YEAR OR 150,000 PERIOD SIMILAR TO THE EXTENDED WARRANTY COVERAGE OF A PREVIOUS RECALL TO CHRYSLER PACIFICA MODEL YEARS 2004-2005. I EXPERIENCED AN ENGINE CRADLE SAFETY CONCERN AND THIS MATTER WAS SIMILAR TO THAT INCLUDED IN THE CHRYSLER PACIFICA MODEL YEARS 2004-2005 RECALL. THE PERFORATION OF CORROSION ON THE ENGINE CRADLE WAS A SAFETY HAZARD AND AS A RESULT WOULD NOT PASS THE VIRGINIA SAFETY INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS, THUS REQUIRING REPAIR. THREE ATTEMPTS WERE MADE TO FIND A USED PART, BUT ALL PARTS RECEIVED HAD CORROSION IN THE SAME PLACE. THE REPAIR WAS MADE WITH CHRYSLER OEM PARTS. SINCE THIS SAFETY ISSUE WAS A SIMILAR THE PREVIOUS CHRYSLER RECALL, AND TO CORRECT A SAFETY HAZARD, I REQUEST REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE REPAIR.

SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED IN TWO MONTHS. DRIVING IN DRY, PLEASANT WEATHER CONDITIONS ON RESIDENTIAL ROAD LESS THAN 30 MPH. CAR STALLED--LOST POWER STEERING, BRAKES, ETC. OIL LIGHT DEFINITELY WAS ON. COASTED TO SIDE OF THE ROAD AND TURNED CAR OFF THEN ON. CAR STARTED RIGHT BACK UP. OIL LIGHT WAS OFF NOW. I PURCHASED A BRAND NEW 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA IN APRIL 2007. I'VE HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE MOUNTS THREE TIMES ALREADY (JANUARY 2008, AUGUST 2009 AND SEPTEMBER 2010). MOST RECENTLY, I AM EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND OIL PRESSURE BUT THE DEALER DOES NOT SEEM TO THING THERE IS A PROBLEM. I'M TIRED OF THE RUN AROUND THAT I'M GETTING. LAST MONTH, (AROUND THE FIRST WEEK IN AUGUST 2010) I BROUGHT THE CAR TO DEALER BECAUSE IT WOULD NOT START. THE CAR WAS INSPECTED AND I WAS TOLD THE RUBBER AROUND THE ENGINE MOUNTS HAD TO BE REPLACED AND WAS MAKING THE ENGINE PULL AWAY FROM THE TRANSMISSION WHICH WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD IT WAS NORMAL TO BURN / LOOSE THAT AMOUNT OF OIL. I WAS CHARGED ANOTHER DEDUCTIBLE AND I TOOK THE CAR HOME. WELL TODAY, SEPT. 28TH, I GET IN THE CAR AND THE LOW OIL LIGHT GOES ON AND THE TRANSMISSION STILL SEEMS / FEELS WEIRD. WHAT IS GOING ON WITH CHRYSLER? NOW I HAVE TO BRING THE CAR BACK IN AND MOST LIKELY THEY WILL TRY TO CHARGE ME ANOTHER DEDUCTIBLE TO FIX THE OIL PROBLEM, TRANSMISSION AND/OR ANOTHER ENGINE MOUNT. OUR 2007 PACIFICA CONTINUES TO HAVE PROBLEMS. ONE CHRYSLER DEALER STATED IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE AND GOOD TO GO. 2 DAYS LATER STUDS ON TIRE BROKE OFF. OTHER SIDE STUDS WERE LOOSE AND HAD TO BE TIGHTENED. WE TOOK VEHICLE TO ANOTHER CHRYSLER DEALER WHO INSPECTED VEHICLE AND HAD A LIST OF THINGS WRONG INCLUDING ,REAR AND FRONT MOTOR MOUNTS BEING BROKE. POWER STEERING FLUID LEAKING, TRANSMISSION LINES LEAKING, REAR BRAKE PADS AND FRONT ROTORS NEED REPLACING AND WHEEL ALIGNMENT RIGHT CAMBER OFF IN FRONT AND REAR ALIGNMENT OFF AND RIGHT TOE IS OFF. THE FIRST DEALER STATED THEY DID A FRONT AND REAR WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND LESS THAN3 WEEKS LATER THE ALIGNMENT IS THAT FAR OFF. SOMETHING RADICALLY WRONG WITH THIS VEHICLE, AND/OR FIRST CHRYSLER DEALER. ALL OF THIS AFTER GOING THROUGH 3 PLUS SETS OF SHOCKS AND 2 TIE ROD ENDS AND NOW ANOTHER WHEEL ALIGNMENT! VERY UNSAFE, VEHICLE WITH STILL UNDIAGNOSED REASON FOR ALL THIS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 55 MPH, A LOUD NOISE WAS HEARD FROM OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE AS THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO VIBRATE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THERE WERE NUMEROUS PARTS REPLACED ON THE VEHICLE OVER A PERIOD OF TIME INCLUDING TWO TIE ROD ENDS, FOUR SHOCKS AND A WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS PERFORMED WITH EACH REPAIR. MOST RECENT LY, THE LUG NUT STUDS WERE REPLACED DUE TO THE SUSPENSION DEFECT. THE CONTACT WAS UNCERTAIN OF THE LOCATION OF THE PARTS THAT WERE REPLACED FOR ANY OF THE REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE PROBLEM. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 81,000.

FROM THE TIME THE CAR WAS NEW WHEN THE ABS OR TRACTION CONTROL WAS ENGAGED THE CAR MADE A CLICKING NOISE. AS NEVER HAVING A CAR WITH THIS FEATURE I THOUGHT WAS NORMAL. IN MARCH OF 2010 MY BRAKES FAILED ON MY 07 PACIFICA. UPON TAKING THE CAR TO THE DEALER I WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS CONTAMINATED FLUID IN THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND THE ENTIRE SYSTEM HAD TO BE REPLACED. NEW CALIPERS, ABS MODULE, LINES, HOSES MASTER CYLINDER ECT. THE BILL WAS $2500 WHICH I HAD TO PAY BECAUSE THEY ARE CLAIMING CONTAMINATED FLUID. I HAD BEEN THE ONLY PERSON TO SERVICE THE BRAKES ON THAT CAR AND DID NOT ADD FLUID WHEN REPLACING THE FRONT PADS. WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED THE CAR WOULD COME TO A STOP AND START ROLLING AGAIN. I BELIEVE THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH CHRYSLER PACIFICAS ABS SYSTEM. I HAD A 2005 THAT AFTER 7 ATTEMPTS TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM OF THE WARNING LIGHT STAYING ON, CHRYSLER TOOK THE CAR BACK. WHILE DRIVING AT SPEEDS OF 10-35 MPH, THE OIL AND ESP LIGHTS WOULD ILLUMINATE, THEN THE ENGINE WILL SIMPLY CUT OFF / STALL. WE HAVE TO PUT ON THE EMERGENCY FLASHER WHILE IN TRAFFIC, PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL OR PARK AND RESTART. NO ENGINE LIGHT. WE BROUGHT THE PACIFICA IN TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP 5 TIMES AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANY CODES. THEY TRIED UPDATING THE SOFTWARE ON THE ECM WHICH DID NOT HELP. THEN, THE DEALERSHIP SAID THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE BAD AND THE TORQUE OF THE ENGINE WAS PULLING ON THE FRONT WIRING HARNESS(ES), CAUSING THE STALLING ISSUE. WE HAD ALL 3 (FRONT, REAR, UPPER) ENGINE/MOTOR MOUNTS REPLACED AND THE ISSUE STILL HAPPENS EVERY TIME WE TRY TO DRIVE THE CAR. THE DEALERSHIP HAS THE CAR AGAIN AND SAID THE FRONT MOTOR MOUNT STILL LOOKS LIKE IT IS BAD EVEN THOUGH IT WAS REPLACED 4 DAYS AGO. BASED ON WHAT I'VE READ IN THE NHTSA DATABASE AND THE DODGE DEALERSHIP TELLING ME THAT MOTOR MOUNTS GO OUT ON A LOT OF PACIFICAS, THIS IS HAPPENING TO A LOT OF 2007 PACIFICA OWNERS. CHRYSLER SHOULD ABSOLUTELY RECALL THE MOTOR MOUNTS ON THIS VEHICLE AND PROVIDE A MORE RELIABLE REPLACEMENT MOTOR MOUNT WITH A ROBUST DESIGN AT NO CHARGE TO ALL PACIFICA OWNERS. SHORTLY AFTER STARTING AND DRIVING THE CAR, WITHIN A COUPLE OF MINUTES, THE CAR COMPLETELY STOPS RUNNING WITH NO WARNING LIGHTS. JUST DIES WHILE DRIVING AS IF THE IGNITION WAS JUST TURNED OFF. THE CAR IS UNDER AN EXTENDED MANUFACTURER'S BUMPER-TO-BUMPER WARRANTY SO THE REPAIR SHOULD BE COVERED AS IT IS A CLEAR DEFECT. APPARENTLY, BECAUSE THE CAR JUST STOPPED, NO CODES WERE RECORDED AS TO THE NATURE OF THE PROBLEM. HENCE, THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO IDENTIFY A PROBLEM. THE DEALER RECOMMENDED THAT THE COST OF A SUSPECTED REPAIR BE MADE BY THE OWNER BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT DEFINITELY DEFINE THE PROBLEM AS NECESSARY TO BE REIMBURSED UNDER THE WARRANTY. RECOMMENDED REPAIR WAS DONE AT OWNER'S COST YET THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. AN EARLIER MODEL OF THIS CAR HAD A RECALL TO REPAIR A SIMILAR IF NOT IDENTICAL PROBLEM.

IT APPEARS THAT VALVE STEM CORRODED JUST BELOW THE CAP. THE PRESSURE INSIDE THE TIRE THEN BLEW OUT THE SCHROEDER VALVE RESULTING IN A QUICK DEFLATE OF THE TIRE. IF THIS HAD HAPPENED AT HIGHWAY SPEED IT COULD HAVE RESULTED IN LOSS OF STEERING AND POSSIBLE ACCIDENT OR PERSONAL INJURY. I ASKED IF THIS PROBLEM WOULD OCCUR AGAIN AND WAS TOLD I SHOULD HAVE NO FURTHER PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE MOUNTS BY CHRYSLER, ELK GROVE. I PAID FOR REPLACEMENT. The contact owned a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that the vehicle had been parked in the driveway for a week when it caught fire. The contact's husband looked outside the window of their residence and noticed that the vehicle had caught fire from the engine. The fire also caused damage to the garage door and siding. The fire department arrived on the scene and extinguished the fire. The fire department determined that the fire started in the engine compartment. Police and fire department reports were filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and was not yet deemed totaled by the insurance company. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. Prior to the failure, the vehicle experienced a loss of power steering assist. The failure mileage was approximately 187,000.

The car has a lot of dangerous problems. For one I had my truck diagnosed and code came back as gas cap. Then it was electric problems after the replacement of the gas cap. Check engine light was still on. So I went for another diagnostic now is coming up power train. Went to 3 to 6 transmission shops and all told me different reasons solenoid, pcm, Tcm, or maybe it’s just shot all together is what the last shop told me. That’s a $3,000 repair and that’s ridiculous after I had all those pieces replaced. My car stills doesn’t shift gears as I’m driving I can’t really go over 40 or 50 mph because of high rpm’s. The car doesn’t shift gears and I’m hearing a loud whining noise as I drive. I was on the high way and could get off fast enough because of high rpm’s and the car not shifting and also automatically switches from drive to auto-stick on it’s on. Pls Help Me

The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Pacifica. The contact stated that the driver’s side headlight failed to operate as needed. The local dealer was contacted and provided an estimate for the repair. Due to the cost of the repair, the manufacturer was notified of the failure however, offered no assistance since there was no recall on the vehicle. The contact eventually took the vehicle to an independent mechanic who was unable to repair the headlight and referred him to the NHTSA for assistance. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 122,000.

Several Times while driving and often when turning at a slow speed the Pacifica stalls. This is a common problem with no help from Chrysler. No codes come up and several mechanics and dealers have tried to fix the problem to no avail and at a lot of expense. In checking this problem out on the internet, many, many people have complained about this problem because it is highly dangerous and puts peoples lives at risk! Why doesn't Chrysler investigate and find the reason and provide a fix or why won't the NHTSA look into this problem. It also is known to happen to 2005 and 2006 Pacificas.

WE WERE DRIVING. I ASKED MY HUSBAND TO CLEAN THE WINDSHIELD. AS SOON AS HE PULLED THE WIPER STEM, THE HEADLIGHTS WENT OUT. THE CAR RESTARTED, BUT THE HEADLIGHTS WOULDN'T COME BACK ON. WE PULLED OVER AGAIN AND OPENED THE HOOD. THE CAR WOULD RESTART, BUT NOW THE DASH CLUSTER WAS OUT ALONG WITH THE HEADLIGHTS. WE TURNED THE ENGINE OFF AND WEIRDLY, THE HEADLIGHTS CAME ON. THEY WERE FLASHING ON AND OFF, OVER AND OVER. WITHIN THE NEXT TEN MINUTES THE CAR WOULD START BUT WOULDN'T SHIFT OUT OF PARK. FROM THERE THE ARMREST CONTROLS STOPPED FUNCTIONING, AND EVENTUALLY THE CAR JUST CHATTERED WHEN THE KEY WAS TURNED. THEN IT WOULDN'T EVEN DO THAT. IT COMPLETELY DIED. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH, CAR LOST POWER AND STEERING BECAME VERY DIFFICULT. AFTER REACHING A STOP I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND WAS ABLE TO RESTART IT. THIS HAS NOW HAPPENED ON 5 SEPARATE OCCASIONS, WITH CHILDREN IN THE VEHICLE. DEALERSHIP SERVICE WAS NOT HELPFUL IN REMEDYING THIS PROBLEM. ADDITIONALLY, DESPITE RECALLS FOR THIS PROBLEM IN PREVIOUS YEARS, THERE IS NO APPARENT SOLUTION FOR THIS. WE OWNED A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA CAR FOR 3 MONTHS, 46000 MILES APPROX, WHEN PURCHASED. AFTER THE FIRST 3 MONTHS OF OWNERSHIP, THE REAR TIRES WENT COMPLETELY BALD , WIRES POKING OUT, THE CAR WAS BOTTOMING OUT ON EVERY BUMP. THE SPRINGS WERE WEAK WE WERE TOLD. THE SHOCKS WERE BROKEN, THE TIRES WERE COMPLETELY OUT OF LINE AND THE DEALER DID FIX AT THEIR OWN EXPENSE. 2 NEW TIRES REPLACED , WHEEL ALIGNMENT, TWO NEW SHOCKS, AND SUPPOSEDLY SPRINGS FIXED. AT APPROX. 8 MONTHS LATER THE VEHICLE WAS AGAIN BOTTOMING OUT. ONCE AGAIN WE WERE TOLD SHOCKS BROKEN. CHRYSLER WAS CONTACTED AND REPLACED SHOCKS, DEALER DID WHEEL ALIGNMENT AND A TIE ROD END WAS REPLACED. IN APPROXIMATELY 10 MONTHS WE AGAIN NOTICED THE CAR WAS MAKING NOISE AND BOTTOMING OUT. ONCE AGAIN SHOCKS WERE BROKEN AND THE OTHER TIE ROD END NEEDED REPLACING. CHRYSLER CUSTOMER CARE WAS NOTIFIED FROM THE FIRST INCIDENT AND SUBSEQUENTLY AT EACH ADDITIONAL OCCURENCE. THE DEALER PAID AT THE FIRST OCCURENCE, CHRYSLER PROVIDED SHOCKS AT SECOND OCCURENCE, ON THE LAST OCCURENCE CHRYSLER REQUIRED AN INSPECTION BY A CHRYSLER DEALER. ANOTHER TIE ROD WAS REPLACED. WE WERE TOLD BY DEALER CAR WAS GOOD TO GO. WE TOOK TRIP TO PICK UP FAMILY AT AIRPORT AND HAD TO BE TOWED. UPON REINSPECTION 2 DAYS LATER, WE WERE TOLD 2 STUDS HAD COMPLETELY BROKEN OFF LEFT REAR TIRE, AND TIRE COULD HAVE COME OFF ON FREEWAY AT SPEEDS OF 65 MPH. THEY ALSO DISCOVERED TWO LUGS ON RIGHT REAR TIRE WERE LOOSE. THIS WAS THE SECOND INCIDENT WHERE OUR SAFETY WAS AT RISK. 4 SETS OF SHOCKS 2 TIRES 2 TIE ROD ENDS AND 3 WHEEL ALIGNMENTS LATER. I WAS DRIVING THE CAR TO THE GAS STATION TO PUT GAS IN IT AND THE CAR SHUT OFF AS I WAS PULLING UP TO THE GAS STATION AND THERE WAS A CAR COMING TOWARDS ME AND THE CAR HAD THE RIGHT OF WAY. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE STREET AT APPROXIMATELY 25 MILES PER HOUR AND LOST THE ABILITY TO ACCELERATE. THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED SEVERAL FAILURES IN WHICH THE VEHICLE WOULD FAIL TO ACCELERATE WHEN ENGAGED, THE AIR CONDITIONING WAS ERRONEOUSLY BLOWING HOT AIR AND THE ENGINE WOULD SHIFT WHEN DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO REPLACED THE FUEL TANK AND THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM. THE MOTOR MOUNT BRACKETS WERE ALSO REPLACED BY A LOCAL MECHANIC. AFTER THE REPAIRS, THE GEAR SHIFTER COULD NOT BE SHIFTED FROM PARK. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO THE DEALER WHO ADVISED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE GEAR SHIFTER WAS NOT REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE APPROXIMATE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

THE CAR CONTINUES TO STALL AT LOW SPEEDS. WE HAVE TAKEN TO MECHANIC AND THEY DO NOT FIND ANY SERVICE ALERTS, AND WEREN'T ABLE TO DUPLICATE ON A TEST DRIVE. IT IS STARTING TO PICK UP IN FREQUENCY TO WHERE IT IS DOING IT EVERY OTHER DAY NOW. I ALSO CALLED THE SERVICE GROUP AT THE CHRSYLER DEALER I PURCHASED IT FROM, AND THEY SAID THEY CAN ONLY DO WHAT I HAD ALREADY DONE WITH THE OTHER MECHANIC SHOP. I WENT TO THE CHRYSLER FORUM TO POST AND SEE IF ANYONE ELSE HAD EXPERIENCED THIS, AND SEE NUMEROUS POSTINGS OF THIS ISSUE OVER THE YEARS. WHEN TURNING TO THE RIGHT OR THE LEFT I CAN HEAR A RUBBING TYPE NOISE. WHEN I TURN I HEAR A RUBBING NOISE AND NOW WHEN I REVERSE THERE IS A LOUD GRINDING/RUBBING NOISE SIMILAR TO THE NOISE THAT I GET WHEN TURNING. THE NOISE GENERALLY OCCURS FIRST THING IN THE MORNING AFTER I HAVE STARTED MY CAR AND REVERSE IT. IF MY CAR HAS BEEN SITTING FOR A WHILE IT WILL DO THE NOISE THEN TOO! THE FIRST INCIDENT OCCURRED A FEW WEEKS AFTER WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE, I NOTICED RUST/PIT MARKS ALL OVER THE EXHAUST SYSTEM (UNDER WARRANTY COMPLETELY REPLACED). THE SECOND INCIDENT OCCURRED WHEN I CONTINUED TO NOTICE THE DRIVER SIDE FLOOR WAS WET AFTER RAIN OR A CAR WASH. FRONT WINDSHIELD GASKET NEEDED TO BE REPLACED (UNDER WARRANTY REPAIRED). THE THIRD INCIDENT THE CAR WAS SHIFTING HARD BROUGHT IT IN WAS TOLD IT'S NORMAL NO PROBLEM FOUND. FOURTH INCIDENT THE CAR CONTINUED TO SHIFT HARD, BROUGHT IT IN AGAIN AND WAS TOLD THE MOTOR MOUNTS WERE BROKEN (UNDER WARRANTY REPLACED). TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER PACIFICA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE LOSES POWER WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 15 TO 60 MPH. THE FAILURE HAS OCCURRED SEVEN TIMES SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED. RIGHT AFTER THE FAILURE, THE LOW OIL PRESSURE INDICATOR ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE DRIVER EXPERIENCED LIMITED ABILITY TO STEER AND STOP THE VEHICLE DURING THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE IS ABLE TO BE IMMEDIATELY RESTARTED AFTER THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR ON FOUR OCCASIONS. ON THE FIRST OCCASION, THE DEALER STATED THAT THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE FAILURE; HOWEVER, THEY UPDATED THE SOFTWARE. ON THE SECOND OCCASION, THE DEALER DUPLICATED THE FAILURE AND REPLACED THE THROTTLE BODY. ON THE THIRD OCCASION, THE EMISSIONS INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND AN ERRONEOUS EVAPORATION CODE APPEARED. THE COMPUTER WAS RESET AT THAT TIME. ON THE FOURTH VISIT TO THE DEALER, THREE LOOSE ELECTRICAL GROUNDS WERE FOUND AND TIGHTENED; HOWEVER, THE FAILURE CONTINUED. THE PREVIOUS OWNER ALSO EXPERIENCED THE FAILURES, BUT THE MANUFACTURER WAS UNABLE TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 21,150 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 23,250. I PURCHASED A '07 CHRYSLER PACIFICA IN FEBRUARY. I'VE HAD NOTHING BUT PROBLEMS WITH THE CAR. I HAD TO HAVE THE MOTOR MOUNT REPLACED. I HAD PROBLEMS WITH IT SHUTTERING AND ACTING AS THOUGH IT DOESN'T SHIFT BETWEEN 30-35 MPH. I'VE HAD THE TORQUE CONVERTER REPLACED ON IT AS WELL. AFTER THAT I'VE HAD TO HAVE THE TIE RODS REPLACED, AND THE STRUTS. SINCE I'VE NOTICED THAT ALMOST EVERYONE IS HAVING THE TORQUE CONVERTER AND MOTOR MOUNT PROBLEMS AS WELL AS OTHER CHRYSLER VEHICLES THIS SHOULD BE ADDRESSED. SINCE I'VE HAD THE TORQUE CONVERTER REMOVED WHILE IT WAS STILL IN SHOP I GET MY CAR BACK AND WHEN YOU LET GO OF THE STEERING WHEEL IT VEERS COMPLETELY TO THE LEFT. NOW THE DEALERSHIP IS TRYING TO CLEAN THEIR HANDS AND SAYING IT'S A DEFECT WITH THE CAR; THEY HAVE TO CONTACT CHRYSLER. I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIRS AND WAS TOLD TO BRING IT IN ONLY WHEN YOU GET LIGHTS ON THE DASH OTHER THAN THAT IT IS NORMAL. I'M CURRENTLY WAITING FOR A TUNING VALVE TO BE REPLACED IN THE MOTOR. I'M NOW EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS NOW WITH THE AIRBAG LIGHT COMING ON AND GOING OFF. I WAS TOLD AGAIN BY A SERVICE WRITER IT WAS NORMAL UNTIL IT COMES ON AND STAYS ON. I BOUGHT THE CAR IN JANUARY 2008 AND IT IS NOW MARCH IT HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP FOR REPAIRS 4 TIMES FOR THE TRANSMISSION AND TWICE FOR THE BRAKES AND A TOTAL OF 15 DAYS AND RUNNING. NOW IN COLDWEATHER, WHEN IT IS DIRECTED TO THE FLOOR, SO MUCH HEAT COMES FROM THE DEFROSTER THAT I GET A HEADACHE AND THE FLOOR IS FREEZING. THERE IS A CLUNKING IN THE RIGHT FRONT ON NEARLY ANY ROAD SURFACE. I DO NOT FEEL THAT IT IS A BALL JOINT, BUT RATHER A STRUT.
