The contact stated it would take several attempts to start the vehicle. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that last year he received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers : 4V567000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) and NHTSA Campaign Number: 16V352000 (AIR BAGS). The vehicle was repaired. The dealer is refusing to repair the vehicle for the most recent failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 250,000.

The contact stated that the vehicle would no longer start. The contact became aware that the VIN was included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V567000 (Electrical System). The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they could not repair the vehicle under the recall as the vehicle was over 10 years old; however, the vehicle was not more than 10 years old on the date the defect was determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 187,846.

Accelerating on highway at around 45mph my Dodge Charger gave a small spurt of powder then immediately after i lost complete power and shut down. I had to move to shoulder of highway where i turned the key to off position and took key out. I tried to restart the car and it wouldnt even try turning over. The cluster lights of PRND38 (ive never seen an 8 on there before)… showed up with boxes around each letter which was not normal along with the lightning bolt light and battery light. We changed new charged battery still no turn over. Tried to connect a snap on code scanner and it wouldn’t link. I also changed throttle pedal as well as throttle body because the lightning bolb light was on When can shut down while driving it.

THE CAR IS IN DRIVE, WITHOUT WARNING THE CAR SIMPLY LOOSES POWER, SHUTS DOWN IMMEDIATELY ON THE FREEWAY, IN TRAFFIC, ANYWHERE INCLUDING ON A SHORT DRIVE; THE CAR LOOSES POWER, THE MPH DROPS TO 0, THE CAR COASTS TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD, IT LOOSES POWER STEERING, THE KEY FOB IS STILL IN IGNITION, LIGHTS GO OFF, AND I HAVE TO RESTART CAR; FORMER ALLEN SAMUELS DODGE SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR, BUT IT WAS NOT DOING THIS UNTIL THEY CHANGED THE KEY FOB AND RESET THE IGNITION SWITCH FOR THE NEW FOB IN 2014, IT HAS NEARLY CAUSED US TO BE RUN OVER SEVERAL TIMES WITH GRANDCHILDREN IN THE CAR BY 18 WHEELERS ON THE HWY, SO WE HAVE HAD AUTONATION RUN DIAGNOSIS AND SAY NOTHING IS WRONG WHEN CLEARLY IT IS SOMETHING VERY WRONG - HELP, MY NEPHEWS DODGE CHARGER DOES THE SAME THING

EVERY TIME I RETURNED FOR MY APPOINTMENT I WAS ADVISED THAT THE PART IS NOT IN AND THEY WOULD CALL ME WHEN IT WAS AVAILABLE. BECAUSE THIS OCCURRENCE HAPPENED MORE THAN ONE TIME I FEEL THEY ARE NOT TRYING TO RESOLVE MY ISSUE. BECAUSE OF THE SAFETY HAZARD I WOULD LIKE TO GET THIS FIXED IMMEADIATELY.

The contact stated that while a female was driving the vehicle at an unknown speed with the contact's boyfriend and his older cousin as passengers in the vehicle, the driver crashed the vehicle into a wall. The contact stated that none of the air bags deployed upon impact. The contact's boyfriend and his cousin were unconscious and were transported to two separate hospitals by ambulance. The contact's boyfriend sustained injuries to his neck, hip, and back. The contact was not aware of the injuries sustained by her boyfriend's cousin but stated that prior to the collision, his cousin had surgery regarding a pacemaker. The female driver did not sustain any injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and deemed totaled by the insurance company. THE RADIATOR COOLING FAN EXPLODED AND PUNCTURED THE RADIATOR AS I WAS SITTING IN A RESTAURANT DRIVE THRU SPILLING THE COOLANT . VEHICLE TEMPERATURE GAUGE SHOWED EXTREME HOT TEMPERATURE. I FOUND A SERVICE CAMPAIGN BULLETIN REF # L08 ABOUT THE FAN SEPARATING DURING OPERATION AND CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE RADIATOR FOR DODGE VEHICLES FOR YEARS 2006-2008 THAT WERE MADE PRIOR TO APRIL 20, 2008. MINE WAS MADE JUNE 2, 2008 AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT OCCURRED WITH IT ON JULY 19, 2019. LUCKILY I WASN'T STRANDED OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE OR ON THE HIGHWAY OR INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT ON THE ROADWAY.

WHEN I TURNED THE CORNER I SAW SMOKE COMING FROM THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE VEHICLE HOOD. I PULLED OVER, TURNED OFF THE CAR JUMPED OUT AND SAW FLAMES COMING IN THE SAME SPOT I SAW THE SMOKE. I CALLED 911 AND THE FIRE DEPARTMENT PUT OUT THE FIRE. THE FIREFIGHTERS THOUGHT IT MAY BE AN ELECTRICAL FIRE BECAUSE OF THE SMELL. STILL WAITING ON INSURANCE AND MANUFACTURER TO FINISH INVESTIGATION.

IM SUBMITTING THIS STATEMENT FOR EVERYONE THAT HAS HAD THE UNFORTUNATE PLEASURE OF OWNING A DODGE VEHICLE. ABOUT A MONTH AND A HALF AGO I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY AND MY 2008 DODGE CHARGER JUST DIED ON ME. I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY TOLD ME THAT I NEEDED A NEW ENGINE AS A RESULT OF OIL SLUDGE BUILDUP. I SUBMITTED ALL MY MAINTENANCE RECORDS SHOWING THAT I WAS GETTING MY MAINTENANCE DONE AND THEY CAME BACK DENYING MY WARRANTY CLAIM. I FEEL LIKE CHRYSLER IS JUST A BIG RIP-OFF WITH THEIR WARRANTIES CAUSE ITS FUNNY THE SERVICE LADY TOLD ME THAT IT WAS NO OIL SHOWING ON THE DIPSTICK AND I HAD MY MECHANIC TO LOOK AT MY CAR A DAY BEFORE I HAD IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP AND IT WAS 3QTS IN THERE SO SOMETHING SOUNDS FISHY TO ME. I'VE BEEN RESEARCHING THIS ISSUE AND IM NOT ALONE AND THEY REALLY NEED TO CHECK INTO THIS PROBLEM BUT ITS VERY CONVENIENT FOR THEM TO DENY HAVING TO REPLACE THEIR DEFECTIVE ENGINES. AS THE VEHICLE WAS BEING DRIVEN TO THE DEALER, THE HOSE SPLIT IN HALF, CAUSING COOLANT TO SPEW ALL OVER THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT AND THE CABIN OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL REPAIR SHOP WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AS A RESULT OF THE HOSE SPLITTING, THE AIR CONDITIONER SYSTEM WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 16,000 AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 81,000.

I WAS LEAVING FOR WORK. FIRST THE CAR DIDNT WANT TO START IT TOOK SEVERAL TIMES WITH NOTHING HAPPENING I COULD TURN THE KEY BUT THE CAR WOULD DO NOTHING. I FINALLY GOT THE CAR STARTED AND ON THE WAY TO WORK I MADE A TURN AND IT MADE A LOUD POP IN THE STEERING WHEEL AND THEN THE STEERING TRIED TO LOCK UP. I TOOK IT TO A DEALERSHIP IN CORINTH MISSISSIPPI AND HE TOLD ME IT WAS GOING TO COST 1100 TO FIX IT. I BOUGHT THIS CAR NEW AND THE CAR COMPANY SHOULD HAVE TO FIX THIS. WELL IT IS GETTING BAD NOW SOMTIMES IT WONT START FOR 30 MIN AND THE STEERING STILL DOES THE SAME THING. I AM GETTING AFRAID TO DRIVE IT.

DODGE HAS A RECALL P57 NHTSA 14V-567 AND NO PARTS. IT HAS BEEN ONGOING SINCE DECEMBER 2014. I FIXED MY VEHICLE PRIOR TO THE RECALL IN DECEMBER OF 2013. DODGE WILL NOT REFUND MY MONEY UNTIL THE PARTS COME IN.

The contact owns a 2008 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled, but was able to coast off the roadway. After restarting the vehicle, the vehicle temporarily returned to normal functionality but was running abnormally. The contact stated that the failure recurred. Several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, who diagnosed a failure with the PCM and the ignition switch. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V567000 (Electrical System) but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was 208,500.

FOR SEVERAL MONTHS MY VEHICLE HAS FAILED TO START INTIALLY, I RECIEVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE IGNITION SWITCH LATE LAST YEAR 2014. I WAS TOLD AFTER MANY PHONE CALLS TO DEALERSHIPS THERE WOULD BE AN UPDATE AND THE PARTS WERE NOT IN TO COMPLETE THE REPAIR. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED SEVERAL TIMES DUE TO THIS ISSUE SOMETIMES FOR 20 MINUTES AT A TIME. THIS PAST WEDNESDAY AS I DROVE HOME FROM WORK ON A VERY HIGH SPEED EXPRESSWAY, MY VEHICLE SHUT OFF COMPLETELY. IT RESTARTED ON IT'S OWN ONCE AND THEN ALL SYSTEMS SHUT DOWN, LEAVING ME COASTING IN RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC. I WAS ABLE TO PULL OVER AND ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO ROLL TO A STOP SAFELY. I CALLED MY ROADSIDE SERVICE AND WAS TOWED TO THE NEAREST DEALERSHIP. THE NEXT DAY I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT IT WAS NOT THE "RECALL" ISSUE THAT CAUSED THIS BUT A SHORT IN A WIRE THAT CAUSED THE ALTERNATOR TO FAIL COMPLETELY . I WAS TOLD THAT I WOULD BE CHARGED FOR THE REPAIR, AND SUBSEQUENTLY MY WARRANTY WOULD COVER THE REPAIR EXCEPT MY 200.00 DEDUCTIBLE. BEING THAT THIS IS MY ONLY MEANS OF TRANSPORTATION I AUTHORIZED IT. THE REPAIR WAS DONE AND MY VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO ME ON FRIDAY JUL 17, 2015. UPON RETURN THE SERVICE TECH NOTICED THAT MY ENGINE LIGHT WAS STILL ON, AND ADVISED ME TO GO GET MY BATTERY CHECKED AS IT HAD BEEN DRAINED. I DID THIS AND FOUND THE BATTERY TO BE IN "GOOD" CONDITION. SUNDAY JUL 19, 2015 ON A QUICK TRIP TO THE STORE, I WAS GREETED AGAIN WITH A "FAILURE TO START" ISSUE. THIS LEFT MYSELF AND MY CHILD IN A STRANDED STATE UNTIL A FRIEND COULD ARRIVED TO GIVE ME A JUMP. AFTER PAYING TO HAVE MY CAR REPAIRED AND PROMISED THE RECALL ISSUE WOULD NOT CAUSE ME TO BE STRANDED, I AM VERY FRUSTRATED AND FEARFUL THAT MY VEHICLE IS TOO DANGEROUS TO DRIVE. I DO NOT HAVE ANOTHER VEHICLE TO GET TO AND FROM WORK. I NEED A RESOLUTION TO THIS PROBLEM ASAP.

THE ENGINE SHUT COMPLETELY OFF DURING DRIVING. I LOST POWER STEERING AND AUTOMATIC BRAKING. I TRIED TO RESTART BUT IT WOULD NOT TURN OVER. THE BATTERY AND THE ALTERNATOR WERE NOT DEAD. I HAD IT TOWED TO A SHOP AND THEY SAID THE ENGINE CONTROL MODULE WAS DEAD. IT ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT. I THEN HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO A DEALER FOR REPAIR.

UPON PURCHASING THE VEHICLE ON 01/31/2015 THE FIRST INCIDENT WHERE THE VEHICLE JUST CUT OFF WHEN I STOPPED AT A RED LIGHT HAPPENED ON 02/13/2015 AND THEN NUMEROUS TIMES AFTER THAT, I WAS ABLE TO CRANK THE CAR BACK UP AND PROCEEDED TO DRIVE. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO A PRIVATE DEALER AND HE TOLD ME THAT IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM, THAT THE VEHICLE ISNT RECEIVING POWER TO THE ENGINE. IT HAPPENED AGAIN YESTERDAY ON 09/02/15. I FEAR FOR THE SAFETY OF MY CHILDREN AND THAT OF MY PATIENTS, MY JOB REQUIRES THAT I TRAVEL FROM CITY TO CITY RECEIVING PATIENT CARE, THIS IS THE ONLY VEHICLE THAT I HAVE AT THE MOMENT AND CANNOT AFFORD MONTHLY PAYMENTS ON ANOTHER VEHICLE. I ALSO REPORTED THIS PROBLEM TO CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP DEALERSHIP TO THE ONE HERE IN ENTERPRISE, AL AND TO THE ONE IN DOTHAN, AL AND THEY BOTH TOLD ME THAT I AM ON A WAITING LIST AND THEY WILL CALL ME AS SOON AS THE PARTS ARE IN. I CAN NO LONGER WAIT ITS HAPPENING MORE FREQUENT NOW.

WHILE DRIVING THE AIR BAG LIGHT CAME ON AND THE A/C WENT OUT. I CALLED A DEALERSHIP TO SEE WHAT THE ISSUE COULD BE AND THEY SAID BRING IT IN IT COULD BE AS SIMPLE AS A FUSE. THEN I GOOGLED THE ISSUE AND SAW WHICH FUSES AND CHANGED THEM BUT IT DIDN'T WORK. I KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE AIRBAGS AND SINCE THE ISSUE STARTED WHEN THAT LIGHT CAME ON I WANTED TO TRY GETTING THAT FIXED FIRST AND MAYBE THAT WOULD SOLVE THE ISSUE (SINCE THE A/C AND AIRBAGS ARE AROUND THE SAME AREA). I TAKE THE CAR IN. THEY FIX 1 AIR BAG (NO PARTS FOR PASSENGER SIDE) AND THE IGNITION SWITCH. STILL NO AIR/HEAT/DEFROST. I PAY $121 FOR A DIAGNOSIS OF ,START WITH REPLACING THE TIPM (NO GUARANTEE THAT WILL FIX THE ISSUE OR THAT IT'S A PERMANENT FIX) SINCE THE AC IS NOT GETTING POWER AND GROUND.

HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS. THE VEHICLE WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 14V567000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

MY CAR ELECTRONIC THROTTLE LIGHT KEEPS COMING ON ALONG WITH MY TRACTION LIGHT. IT STARTED DOING IT ONCE EVERY OTHER MONTH. THEN EVERY MONTH. AND NOW 2-5 TIMES A WEEK. IT HAPPENS EACH TIME I AM DRIVING, IT STARTS TO IDLE HARD. AND IF I DON'T PULL OVER THE CAR DIES. I SHUT MY CAR OFF. GIVE IT ABOUT 5 SECONDS. THEN RESTART IT AND GO ON. THE FAILURE PERSISTED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES BUT TO NO AVAIL. My car was leaking gas from the fuel pump and I guess my car from the backseat almost caught fire cause I seen smoke coming from the back seat behind the driver. I went to two Dodge dealerships to let them know about this incident that reason why my fuel pump caught on fire because Dodge put the negative and the positive wire close to each other on the fuel pump, which could cause a fire or your car to explode. I let Dodge know about this incident and let them know that my car almost caught on fire smoke came out and I could’ve died. They totally brushed me off and brushed off my incident. I told him hey this is a recall that you guys need to take serious before someone really gets hurt from Now. I am carless with no vehicle to drive. No way to pick up my daughter from school. I need you guys help ASAP so I could be able to father my child and be able to go to work to provide for my child. Thank you.

I PURCHASED A CAR FROM JOHNNY AUTO SALES OFF FLORIN RD. I WAS TOLD THE CAR HAD NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT, CLEAN CAR FAX. THE ONLY MAJOR THING WAS THE ENGINE HAD BEEN REPLACED. THE CHECK ENGINE LT AND THE TIRE INDICATOR LT WERE ON AND JOHNNY SAID HE WOULD MAKE SURE TO FIX THE ISSUE W/LIGHTS. I KEPT GETTING FLAT TIRES. I TOLD JOHNNY MY TIRES ARE BALD AND KEEP GOING FLAT. HE TOLD ME TO GO TO HIS TIRE GUY AND HE WOULD PAY FOR USED TIRES TO BE PUT ON. I DID JUST THAT. THEY REPLACED MY TIRES AND JOHNNY SIGNED FOR THEM. I CONTINUED GETTING FLAR TIRE SO I WENT BACK TO THE TIRE SHOP AND HAD MY TIRES CHECKED. THEY SAID NO PROBLEMS WITH THE TIRES. SO THEY CHECKED MY RIMS. CRACKED. CHRYSLER HAS ISSUED A RECALL REGARD THE IGNITION SWITCH WHICH INCLUDES A LIST OF THEIR VEHICLES INCLUDING THE 2008 DODGE CHARGER, WHICH I DRIVE. THE RECALL STATES: CHRYSLER SAYS IGNITIONS KEYS ON CERTAIN VEHICLES MAY NOT FULLY RETURN TO THE "ON" POSITION AFTER THEY ARE TURNED TO START THE ENGINE. INSTEAD, THE KEY ENDS UP BETWEEN THE "ON" AND "START" POSITION. IN THAT CASE, THE WINDSHIELD DEFROSTER AND WINDSHIELD WIPERS WON'T WORK. THE GREATER DANGER, WHICH CHRYSLER CALLS "LESS PROBABLE," IS THAT THE KEY MOVES TO THE "ACCESSORY" OR "OFF" POSITION. IF THAT HAPPENS, THE CAR'S ENGINE WILL TURN OFF, IT WILL LOSE POWER STEERING AND THE AIR BAGS WON'T DEPLOY. I AM EXPERIENCED THIS PROBLEM WHILE DRIVING MY VEHICLE WHICH PROMPTED ME TO SEE IF THERE WAS A RECALL. I REACHED OUT TO CHRYSLER AND QUESTIONED WHY I RECEIVED RECALL A RECALL NOTIFICATION FOR THE AIRBAGS BUT NOT FOR THE IGNITION. I WAS ADVISED THAT MY VIN IS NOT ON THE LIST FOR THE IGNITION CONCERNS. THE CHRYSLER AGENT ADVISED ME THAT MY VIN # WAS NOT ON THE LIST FOR THE IGNITION PROBLEM. I ADVISED THE AGENT THAT I AM EXPERIENCING THE ISSUES OUTLINED IN THE RECALL. SHE ADVISED THAT IT WAS NOTHING CHRYSLER CAN DO UNTIL MY VIN NUMBER IS ADDED TO THE RECALL LIST. I ASKED IF THERE WAS AN ESCALATION PROCESS, SINCE DRIVING WITH A FAULTY IGNITION IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS. SHE ADVISED ME THAT THERE WAS NOT A PROCESS TO ESCALATE MY CONCERNS EVEN THOUGH I PROVIDED HER WITH MY VIN NUMBER AND SHE COULD CLEARLY SEE THAT IT WAS FOR A 2008 DODGE CHARGER SEDAN. PLEASE ASSIST IN THE RESOLUTION OF THE IGNITION SWITCH CONCERN.

IN NOVEMBER OF 2014 I RECEIVED A RECALL FOR P57 WHICH IS THE WIRELESS IGNITION NODE MODULE STATING THAT THE PARTS WERE NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE AND I WOULD BE NOTIFIED AS SOON AS THEY BECAME AVAILABLE. I RECEIVED ANOTHER NOTICE IN FEBRUARY OF 2015 AT WHICH TIME I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DODGE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THERE WERE CURRENTLY NO PARTS AVAILABLE TO FIX THE ISSUE. SOMETIME DURING THE MIDDLE OF MARCH I WAS TURNING RIGHT ONTO A 5 LINE HIGHWAY WHEN I LOST ALL POWER TO MY VEHICLE. AS I TRIED TO GET OFF THE ROAD AND OUT OF TRAFFIC THE POWER RESTORED ON IT'S OWN. THIS SAME POWER LOST HAS OCCURRED ONCE MORE SINCE MARCH. I HAVE CONTINUED TO CHECK WITH MY LOCAL DEALER BUT NO PARTS ARE STILL AVAILABLE. FOR THE PAST 3 WEEKS I HAVE HAD SIGNIFICANT TROUBLE GETTING THE VEHICLE TO START. WHEN I PLACE THE KEY IN THE START POSITION IT WILL DO NOTHING EXCEPT TURN ON THE WARNING LIGHTS. AFTER SPENDING 51 MINUTES ON THE PHONE WITH A GENTLEMAN NAMED ALEX I WAS BASICALLY TOLD THAT UNLESS THE CAR WAS BROKEN DOWN OR I WAS INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT THERE WAS NOTHING THEY COULD DO, BUT IF I DID BECOME INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE OF THE MALFUNCTION I COULD CONTACT THEM BACK AND THEY WOULD TRY AND ASSIST ME BETTER. SINCE 7/2010, I HAVE HAD TO HAVE MULTIPLE VARIOUS FRONT END SUSPENSION AND STEERING COMPONENTS REPLACED, NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. *5/1/11 SWAY BAR LINKS & OUTER TIE RODS *3/2/12 OUTER TIE ROD END/CONTROL ARM AND BALL JOINT *11/1/12 OUTER TIE ROD *11/27/13 SWAY BAR LINKS *12/10/14 CONTROL ARM/STABILIZER BAR BUSHING. I'VE HAD TO HAVE MY TIRES REPLACED 3 TIMES DUE TO EXCESSIVE/UNEVEN WEAR CAUSED BY REOCCURRING, EXPENSIVE SUSPENSION ISSUES. I AM NOT A HOT ROD DRIVER, NOR DO I LIVE ON A LONG BUMPY DIRT ROAD AND FEEL MY COMPLAINT SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO FOR A POSSIBLE RECALL AND FORCE DODGE TO CORRECT THIS ISSUE. I DRIVING AND MERGED ONTO ROUTE 3 GOING SOUTH; I TURNED MY RIGHT BLINKER ON SINCE THE RAMP WAS ON THE RIGHT, IT SHUT OFF WHEN I GOT ON THE EXPRESSWAY. AUTOMATICALLY THE LEFT BLINKER CAME ON, EVEN THOUGH I DID NOT TURN IT ON. I HAVE A 2008 DODGE CHARGER, WHICH HAS HAD SEVERAL ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS TO OCCUR SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN AUG., 2008. 2 OF THE PROBLEMS COULD HAVE CAUSED SERIOUS INJURY IF I HAD WRECKED WHEN THE STERRING WHEEL LOCKED OR JUST THE OTHER DAY THE FAN BLADE MOTORS LOCKED UP AND BURSTED MY RADIAOTR. THIS VEHICLE IS TOO NEW TO HAVE SO MANY DEFECTS, ESPECIALL LINKING TO ELECTRICAL MATTERS THAT ARE NOT RECOGNIZED BY THE POWER-TRAIN WARRANTY, WHICH I FEEL SHOULD HAVE ALL BEEN COVERED THE THE WARRANTY. THE CAR HAS SEVERAL YEARS BEFORE BEING PAID OFF, BUT I AM NOW TERRIFIED TO CONTINUE DRIVING THIS VEHICLE KNOWING ANYTHING, UNPLAINABLE CAN HAPPEN AT ANYTIME. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 30 MPH, THE BRAKES PULSATED WHEN THEY WERE ENGAGED AND THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO SHAKE VIOLENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHERE BOTH FRONT ROTORS AND BRAKES WERE REPLACED. THE TECHNICIAN STATED THE ROTORS WERE SEVERELY WARPED. THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED THE IDENTICAL FAILURES WITH THE REAR BRAKES. THE REAR BRAKES WERE NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE. I OWN A 2008 DODGE CHARGER, I RECENTLY STARTED HAVING PROBLEMS WHEN THE DS POWER SEATS STOPPED WORKING FOLLOWED BY THE AUTOMATIC LOCKS. TOOK IT TO DODGE COUNTRY IN KILLEEN, TX WHERE I WAS TOLD BY THE SERVICE MAN THAT THE WIRES HAD MELTED TOGETHER NEAR THE FUSE BOX IN TRUCK AND THAT IT WAS A FIRE HAZARD. HE COULD NOT TELL ME WHERE THE PROBLEM ORIGINATED, BUT INFORMED ME TO CALL MY INSURANCE CO. AND FILE A CLAIM WITH THEM. HE SAID AND I QUOTE "TELL THEM YOU SPILLED SOMETHING IN THE TRUCK, GET YOUR HUSBAND TO AGREE ON IT, AND THEY SINCE THEY INSURE STUPIDITY THEY WILL LIKELY COVER THIS, LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU DECIDE SO WE CAN ALL HAVE THE SAME STORY & I WILL TELL THEM WHAT YOU WANT!". THAT NIGHT I WENT TO THE DODGE DEALERSHIP TO PICK UP MY CAR CHARGER OUT OF MY CAR AND WHAT DO YOU KNOW BOTH SEATS ARE WORKING AS WELL AS MY LOCKS! I DID CALL MY INSURANCE CO. AS WELL AS FILED A COMPLAINT WITH CHRYSLER AND INFORMED BOTH PARTIES WHAT THE SERVICE GUY TOLD ME TO DO. WHEN BOTH DENIED MY CLAIM I CALLED DODGE COUNTRY AND INFORMED THEM I WOULD BE PICKING UP MY CAR. WHEN I GOT MY RECEIPT WITH DIAGNOSTIC REPORT IT STATED THE "FUSE IN PDC MELTED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED" NOT WIRING HARNESS LIKE I WAS TOLD ORIGINALLY. GOT IN MY CAR AND SEAT WAS MOVED ALL THE WAY UP TO STEERING WHEEL AND NOT WORKING AGAIN!!! THESE PEOPLE DO BAD BUSINESS! THEY FIXED IT AND WHEN I REFUSED TO PAY THE $4500 THEY WANTED TO REPLACE THE WIRING HARNESS THE UNFIXED IT! MAKES ME BELIEVE THAT IT WASN'T THE WIRES IN THE FIRST PLACE. THEY ALSO BENT THE FUSES IN PDC FROM PULLING THEM OUT WITH PLIERS! DODGE HAS YET TO RETURN A PHONE CALL! CAR STILL INOP!! *TR

MY 2008 DODGE CHARGER WAS WRECKED IN APRIL. THE ABS LIGHT AND ESP (TRACTION CONTROL) LIGHTS ON THE DASH CAME ON. THE NEXT THING I KNEW THERE WAS NO BRAKES AT LOW SPEEDS. THIS HAD NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. I CONTINUED TO MY DESTINATION ONLY A FEW MILES AWAY AND PLANNED TO CALL A TOW TRUCK. AS I TRIED TO STOP SO I COULD GET OUT TO OPEN A GATE THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP AND I WRECKED THE CAR. THERE WAS NOTHING DONE TO CORRECT THE FAILURE. THE CAR WAS TOTALED AND NOTHING WAS EVER DONE BY DODGE OR CHRYSLER TO COMPENSATE FOR THE PROBLEM. IN FACT I WAS TOLD THAT THE VERY MOMENT THE LIGHTS CAME ON I SHOULD HAVE STOPPED DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND CALLED THE DEALERSHIP. THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE IF I LIVED IN A BIGGER CITY, BUT I LIVE IN THE COUNTRY WITH VERY LITTLE CELL PHONE RECEPTION IN SOME AREAS. *TW

EVERYDAY WHILE DRIVING MY 2008 DODGE CHARGER AT ANY RATE OF SPEED, WITH MY FOOT ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL AND ATTEMPTING TO GO FASTER OR IF I AM KEEPING THE VEHICLE AT A STEADY SPEED, THE VEHICLE FEELS AS IF IT WANTS TO HESITATE OR STALL OUT. THE VEHICLE ALSO HAS A HARD SHIFT WHEN SHIFTING INTO DRIVE, REVERSE, NEUTRAL OR PARK AND IT FEELS AS IF THE ENGINE WILL DROP OUT OF THE BOTTOM OF THE VEHICLE ONTO THE GROUND. 2008 DODGE CHARGER A DEPT OF PUBLIC SAFETY HIGHWAY PATROL VEHICLE WAS ON THE OHIO TURNPIKE TO STOP SOMEONE FOR A SPEEDING VIOLATION WHEN THE LIGHT BAR ON THE ROOF OF THE CAR BECAME DISMOUNTED AND CAUSED DAMAGE TO THE ROOF. *KB ACCORDING TO THE POLICE REPORT, THE OFFICER FOUND THE MOUNTING BOLT ON THE RIGHT SIDE HAD BROKEN INTO TWO PIECES WHICH CAUSED THE LIGHT BAR TO BECOME DISCONNECTED FROM ITS MOUNT. I BOUGHT A 2008 DODGE CHARGER DAYTONA FROM CHAPMAN DODGE IN LAS VEGAS, NV. THEY SOLD ME THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW WITH 22" TIRES. THE TIRE ARE HITTING THE FENDERS AND CUTTING INTO THE TIRES. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER CORPORATION AND THEY SAID IN AN EMAIL THAT CHRYSLER CORPORATION DOES NOT RECOMMEND THIS SIZE TIRE ON THIS CAR BECAUSE IT WOULD BE A SAFETY HAZARD. I HAD FIVE FAMILY MEMBERS IN THE VEHICLE A COUPLE WEEKS AGO AND NOTICED A NOISE COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND WHEN I STOPPED TO INVESTIGATE THE LIP OF THE FENDER WAS ALL BENT AND THERE WERE CUTS IN THE TIRE. IF I HAD BEEN ON THE HIGHWAY DRIVING THE SPEED LIMIT OF 70 MPH AND THIS HAPPENED, THE RESULTS COULD OF BEEN TRAGIC. *TR

HALEIGH IS MY 3 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER, AND WE BOUGHT THIS CAR ON 5/31, WE HAD PEOPLE AT OUR HOUSE ON 6/1 FOR A PARTY SO KIDS WERE IN AND OUT ALL DAY. HALEIGH WENT IN MY CAR BEING CURIOUS, THE DOORS ALL SHUT, AND SHE COULD NOT OPEN THE DOORS BECAUSE ALL 4 DOOR HANDLES ARE SOLID METAL AND WERE SO HOT THAT THEY BURNED HER HAND AND SHE COULD NOT GET OUT. WHEN I FOUND HER SHE WAS ALMOST PASSED OUT FROM THE 125 DEGREES THAT IT WAS IN THE CAR, AND HAD TO GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM. NO LIFE THREATENING INJURIES OCCURRED, BUT COULD HAVE EASILY SINCE SHE COULD NOT GET OUT OF THE CAR. I HAVE ALSO BURNED MY HAND ON THE DOOR HANDLES MULTIPLE TIMES SINCE THEN BECAUSE THEY ARE SOLID METAL. THIS NEEDS TO BE CHANGED, BEFORE A CHILD GETS SERIOUS INJURIES!!!! *TR
