THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CORWIN CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM FIAT (1025 W SUNSHINE ST #2445, SPRINGFIELD, MO 65807; (417) 862-9272) HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 17V435000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 100,000.

CENTER STACK SCREEN WHICH CONTROLS THE A/C IS UNRESPONSIVE. UPON STARTING THE VEHICLE THE HEATER IS ON FULL BLAST AND THE LANGUAGE IS CHANGED TO GERMAN WITH NO POSSIBLE WAY OF CHANGING IT. IN DROVE IT THE PREVIOUS DAY AND EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that after stopping at a stop light, the brake pedal was released and the accelerator pedal was depressed to make a left turn however, the vehicle failed to respond. The vehicle was towed to the residence and then towed to the dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the output shaft had failed, and the transmission and transfer case needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V610000 (Power Train). The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was approximately 124,000.

The shifter module that was replaced under recall S27/NHTSA 16V-240 in August of 2016 started shifting itself into sport mode automatically and without warning in November of 2022. I took my car to James River Chrysler Dodge in Ozark, Mo in November to have the shifter module replaced. The dealership could not find a new Mopar shifter module because Chrysler stopped making them. There is no after market shifter modules available for this specific shifter module so James River Chrysler placed a used shifter module in my car. The used shifter module is automatically shifting the car into a lower sports mode gear without warning also which is a safety hazard for me, my family, and other individuals who are traveling in a proximity around me. I cannot purchase a new Mopar or after market shifter module for my car because no one is manufacturing this part. I want to report this safety hazard because there are numerous Dodge Chargers on the road that will potentially have the same situation as me in the very near future. Can Chrysler be held accountable to manufacture the shifter module to keep everyone safe on the roads? STARTED ABOUT 2 YEARS AGO. WHEN GOING FROM 3RD TO 4TH GEAR CAR RPM WOULD SPIKE HIGH THEN VIOLENTLY SHIFT GEARS. PAST FEW MONTHS IT'S STARTING TO DO IT FROM 2ND TO 3RD GEAR ALSO. ALSO SOMETIMES WILL NOT DOWN SHIFT TO FIRST GEAR AFTER COMING TO COMPLETE STOP. WHEN THIS HAPPENS WILL START OFF IN SECOND GEAR WILL NOT SHIFT FROM 3RD TO 4TH AT ALL AND WILL NOT LET YOU SHIFT MANUALLY. HAVE TO PULL OVER PUT IT IN PARK AND TURN CAR OFF. THIS HAS FIXED THE PROBLEM IN THE PAST BUT IT IS EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND DODGE REALLY NEEDS TO LOOK INTO MAKING THINGS RIGHT.

I made an appointment with a dealership to get the recall repaired. I took it to the dealership the next day to drop it off so they can repair it. A few days later I get a call saying that the airbag inflator is badly damaged and wanted me to pay $1100 for it when it’s a free recall. And I declined the offer for it and picked it up the next day and left.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO CAPITAL CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM OF INDIAN TRAIL LOCATED AT (5501 W HWY 74, MONROE, NC 28110) WHERE THE RECALL REPAIR WAS PERFORMED. AFTER THE RECALL REPAIR, THE AIR BAG WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE SAME DEALER TO BE DIAGNOSED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FAILURE WAS DUE TO THE AIR BAG SENSOR UNDERNEATH THE PASSENGER'S FRONT SEAT. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE FOR AN ADDITIONAL 70 MILES FOR THE COMPUTER TO RESET. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. The contact called the local dealer and was informed that there was no recall coverage for the failure. The mechanic determined that the tapping sound was due to the lifters, which were causing excessed wear on the camshaft. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, but no assistance was provided. The approximate failure mileage was 145,000.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Charger. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, there was a ticking sound coming from the engine. The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced bucking, surging, hesitation, loss of power, and an engine misfire. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who diagnosed that the failure was due to premature wear of internal components within the engine and that the rocker arms, lifters, and camshaft were faulty. The contact was informed that the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The engine was replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 125,000.

While driving on the interstate at a high rate of speed the MDS engaged and suddenly, the engine dies. I am unable to accelerate and have to coast across 3 lanes of traffic to reach the emergency lane. The timing chain tensioner and timing chain guides had broken into multiple pieces and the timing chain was also broken. The failure of the timing components resulted in warped values, bent push rods and catastrophic engine failure. This left me sitting in my car on the side of the interstate for several hours in the dark. There were no warning lamps or any problems with how the engine had operated before it suddenly died. All parts that have been removed from the car have been kept for inspection. There is a recall for the same OEM timing components failing and causing sudden engine failure for 2009-2012 Dodge Chargers. Dodge used the same timing tensioner, timing arm guide, and timing chains in Chargers built from 2009 to 2019. Why would the recall be extended to all years that used these parts. If they had recalled all the years those parts were used my car engine would not quit suddenly at 80mph and I have to coast across three lanes of traffic or sit in the emergency for hours waiting on a ride. .

THE COOLANT TEMPERATURE WENT ABOUT LIMIT AND THE COOLANT TEMPERATURE LIGHT WOULD GO ON WHILE DRIVING AND I HAD TO PARK THE VEHICLE TO COOL THE ENGINE DOWN. THIS KEEPS REPEAT VERY OFTEN, I FILLED COOLANT OIL COUPLE OF TIMES WHEN I DO THAT IT WORKS FINE FOR COUPLE OF DAYS AND THEN REPEATS AGAIN. TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER TO CHECK WHAT THE PROBLEM IS WITH THE COOLANT TEMPATURE AND THEY COULD NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE VEHICLE.

While driving the vehicle the steering became very difficult, to the point I could not control my car and had to pull over. The steering seem to have locked up while driving. I had it towed to auto repair shop which I was advised I had to change the power steering pump. That's not in my budget.

The vehicle was towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the power steering pump was faulty and needed to be replaced. The power steering pump was replaced, and the failure was remedied. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 61,000. Consumer stated the only warning on the screen of the car was for air pressure on the tires.

USERS ARE UNABLE TO REBOOT RADIO DEVICES ON THIS VEHICLE REQUIRING DEALER VISIT FOR DIAGNOSIS. DIAGNOSIS INDICATES FAILURE OF BLUETOOTH MODULE LOCATED NEAR STEERING WHEEL. THIS APPEARS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM FOR DODGE BIASED ON INFO BOARDS, INSTALL VIDEOS AND OEM PARTS BEING SOLD TO REPAIR THIS. I HAVE VEHICLES TWICE THE AGE OF THIS DODGE WITH BLUETOOTH STILL ACTIVE SO THIS FEELS LIKE A PREMATURE PARTS FAILURE THAT IS PUTTING MY TEEN DRIVER AT RISK UNTIL REPAIRED DUE TO LACK OF HANDS FREE CONNECTIVITY.

Drivers Seat Belt will not latch. ASME certified mechanic cannot repair it. Dangerous for drivers, Illegal in the USA to drive without a seatbelt and not covered by any Dodge/Chrysler/Mopar Warranties or recalls. The cost for the part alone is $364. Manufacturer Customer Service was not helpful. Parts are not readily available. Please help!

DRIVER SEAT BELT LATCH DIFFICULT TO DISENGAGE COMPLETELY. ONLY WAY TO DISENGAGE IS BY JAMMING THE LATCH IN, WITH FORCE, WHILE HOLDING THE PUSH BUTTON DOWN. THIS ALLOWS LATCH TO FULLY ENGAGE, AND RETRY THE PUSH BUTTON. THREE TO FIVE ATTEMPTS WILL RELEASE LATCH MECHANISM. VEHICLE WAS STATIONARY PROBLEM FIRST STARTED DECEMBER 2016. STILL AWAITING RESPONSE.

MINIMUM OF 3 ATTEMPTS BEFORE IT ACTUALLY RELEASES. OBVIOUSLY IN A PARKED POSITION WHEN THIS OCCURS. BUT BESIDES FRUSTRATING, TIME CONSUMING...IT CAN BE QUITE DANGEROUS WHEN PER SAY YOUR ALTERNATOR CATCHES FIRE AND YOU CANT SEEM TO UNBUCKLE YOUR SEATBELT...OR ANY TYOE OF ACCIDENT WHERE TAKING OFF YOUR SEAT BELT IS CRUCIAL TO YOUR SURVIVAL. SOME TIMES I END UP MAKING A 25 MIN DRIVE(OR MORE IF IT IS HAPPENING ON A ROAD TRIP) ON THE FREEWAY WITH OUT IT EVEN ENGAGING(IF IT TAKES MORE THAN 3 MIN(TIME TO FREEWAY) TO TRY TO GET IT TO ACTIVATE, THEN I DON'T RISK TRYING TO GET IT ACTIVE, BUT WILL TRY EVERY COUPLE OF MINUTES TO TURN IT ON WITH OUT SUCCESS.

THE VEHICLE'S CRUISE CONTROL WAS ENGAGED AND WAS SET TO 67 MPH ON AN OPEN, RURAL STRAIGHT HIGHWAY. A SINGLE TAP AND RELEASE OF THE + CRUISE BUTTON WAS INITIATED. INSTEAD OF INCREMENTING THE SPEED UP BY 1 MPH THE ACCELERATOR REMAINED ENGAGED AND THE CAR QUICKLY ACCELERATED UNCONTROLLABLY TO 90+ MPH. A HARD PRESS ON THE BRAKES WAS REQUIRED TO GET THE CAR TO DISENGAGE THE ACCELERATOR. QUITE SHOCKED BY WHAT JUST HAPPENED I INFORMED THE PASSENGER THAT WAS WITH ME OF THE EVENT THAT JUST TOOK PLACE. I THEN ENGAGED THE CRUISE CONTROL A SECOND TIME AND THEN AGAIN INITIATED A TAP AND RELEASE OF THE + CRUISE BUTTON. AGAIN, THIS SHOULD HAVE INCREMENTED THE CRUISE SPEED BY 1 MPH BUT INSTEAD THE CAR AGAIN WENT INTO AN UNCONTROLLED ACCELERATION UNTIL I STOPPED IT BY A HARD PRESS ON THE BRAKES. THIS CONDITION WAS WITNESSED BY MYSELF AND A PASSENGER THAT WAS WITH ME. THE VEHICLE HAS 16,000 MILES ON IT AND HAS NEVER HAD ANY MAINTENANCE OTHER THAN WHAT IS PERFORMED AT AND BY THE DEALER.

Bad gas smell in car after I fill the tank

Gas tank and fuel pumps are located under passenger seat. The primary fuel pump is located on rear passenger side. I have been getting a gas smell after fueling. I thought maybe some gas spilled or it was my fuel filler neck so I had it checked perfectly fine. So I fueled again today and smelled gas. Lifted rear seat and noticed crack on black plastic cover. Removed and a pool of gas on top of driver side fuel pump. Researched online and found several charger challenger Chrysler owners with the same exact issues. I also found where a minor accident caused the death of 4 people car went up in flames. My kids sit in this back seat and it is very very alarming. I'm surprised that there is no recall on this as of yet. It's a well known issue amongst owner just Google fuel pooling on fuel pump. Shoot there's even a manufacturer making reinforced covers so this doesn't happen. What happens is the weight from sitting in the back seat smashes on the covers and the connectors causing the plastic fuel pump to crack after a while also possibly damaging the connectors. This is a very expensive fix it not deadly. The car almost becomes not drivable. I hope this gets addressed and all owners receive compensation.

CURRENTLY HAVING ISSUES WITH THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT. VEHICLE WAS ON RECALL FOR THE ALTERNATOR AND THE ESC LIGHT CAME ON. THE RECALL NOTICE STATED THAT THE ALTERNATOR COULD CAUSE THE ESC LIGHT TO COME ON BUT WHEN THE ALTERNATOR WAS REPLACED THE LIGHT STAYED ON. CALL DODGE, THEY SAID THAT THE LIGHT SHOULD RESET ITSELF BUT IT DIDN'T. THIS PROBLEM WAS NOT COVERED BY THE RECALL; HOWEVER THIS PROBLEM WAS CAUSED BY THE DEFAULTED ALTERNATOR WHICH LED TO THE OTHER PROBLEMS THAT I'M HAVING. THE ABS CAUSED THE MASTER CYLINDER TO GO OUT. NOW I HAVE TO REPLACE THE ESC MODULE AND MASTER CYLINDER AT MY OWN EXPENSE.

I HAVE A 2013 DODGE CHARGER V6. AT AROUND 45K MILES I NOTICED A WOBBLY SOUND COMING FROM THE FRONT END OF MY CAR WHEN DRIVING STRAIGHT AT A SLOW SPEED. Vehicle: 2013 Dodge Charger R/T I’m reaching out because my car has been showing signs that seem to match the symptoms of the V62 recall that FCA issued for the fuel pump relay issue. I have a 2013 Dodge Charger R/T with the 5.7L HEMI engine. Lately, the car has been having trouble starting, especially after it’s been driven and sits in the heat. Sometimes it cranks but won’t turn over, and other times it randomly dies or stalls when I’m coming to a stop. It recently sat for a couple of days and then started again like nothing happened. This keeps happening on and off, and I’ve noticed it’s worse when it’s really hot outside or after it’s been driving a lot I took it to the dealership and they said my specific VIN isn’t part of the recall, but I wanted to report this because it really seems like the same issue. From what I’ve read, the V62 recall had to do with a faulty fuel pump relay that’s built into the TIPM and causes exactly these kinds of problems. I understand not all vehicles were included, but since I’m having the same symptoms and my car matches the year, make, and engine that recall applied to, I think it’s something that should be looked into. I’d really appreciate it if this could be reviewed. I just want to make sure my vehicle is safe and functioning properly, especially since the stalling can be risky depending on where and when it happens.

LOST STEERING AND ACCELERATION WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY. THIS OCCURRED WITHIN MINUTES AFTER THE VEHICLE ENTERED "BATTERY SAVER MODE" AND DISPLAYED THE "BATTERY" ICON ON THE EVIC SCREEN. THIS WAS THE FIRST AND ONLY INDICATION OF A PROBLEM, OTHER THAN THE RADIO NOT WORKING THAT DAY. AFTER PULLING OVER, WAS ABLE TO RESTART THE CAR, EXIT THE HIGHWAY, AND PULL INTO A SERVICE STATION. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PARK, THE CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT OUT OF DRIVE INTO PARK, NOR WOULD THE CAR SHUT DOWN, UNTIL THE PUSH-BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH WAS HELD DOWN FOR SEVERAL SECONDS. AN ELECTRICAL TEST REVEALED THAT THE ALTERNATOR HAD FAILED, AND THE BATTERY TESTED GOOD. BOTH THE ALTERNATOR AND THE BATTERY ARE THE ORIGINAL FACTORY-INSTALLED PARTS.

THE WAS A RECALL ISSUE FIXED ON MY VEHICLE SOMETIME LAST YEAR WHERE IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN, THEY WENT INTO MY DASH AND/OR REMOVED THE DASH. ALSO THE AIRBAG LIGHT WOULD GO ON AND OFF. SINCE THEN, I'VE STARTED TO EXPERIENCE CLICKING/KNOCKING WHERE THE AIRBAG WOULD BE LOCATED AND THE AIR BAGS LIGHT IS ON AND OFF VERY FREQUENTLY AS WELL. IF I HIT A BUMP ON THE SIDE WHERE THE CLICKING OCCURS, THE AIR BAG LIGHT WILL COME ON. NOT SURE IF THE PROBLEM IS RELATED TO THE RECALL THAT WAS SUPPOSEDLY FIXED IN THE PAST, HOWEVER THERE WAS NO CLICKING/KNOCKING IN THE DASHBOARD PRIOR TO THE FIX, ONLY AIRBAG LIGHT. I JUST DON'T WANT IT TO BE AN AIRBAG ISSUE OR IT DEPLOYS WHILE I'M DRIVING. NOT ABLE TO PUT IN AN EXACT DATE BECAUSE IT HAPPENS EVERYDAY, SO ONLY ENTERED TODAY'S DATE.

WIFE COMPLAINED OF TRUNK OPENING BY ITSELF. CAR HAS KEYLESS PASSIVE ENTRY SYSTEM AND I SUSPECTED SHE WAS ACCIDENTALLY HITTING THE TRUNK RELEASE BUTTON. PROBLEM BECAME PROGRESSIVELY WORSE AND ON TWO OCCASIONS SHE HAD TO STOP ON THE SIDE OF BUSY HIGHWAYS TO CLOSE THE TRUNK PUTTING HER AT A SUBSTANTIAL RISK OF INJURY OR DEATH. A BRIEF ONLINE SEARCH SHOWS AN HISTORICAL PROBLEM INVOLVING THIS COMPLAINT. AT FIRST THE PROBLEM WAS HUMOROUS BUT AFTER HER HAVING TO STOP ON THE LIE THE HUMOR QUICKLY FADED AND CONCERN AROSE. THE CAR IS AT THE DEALER FOR A FIX AND I EXPRESSED MY CONCERN AND WAS BLOWN OFF. THERE IS A RECALL I JUST RECEIVED IN THE MAIL TODAY ON MY CAR P60 (ALTERNATOR) AND I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD YESTERDAY DEC 6, WHEN EVERYTHING SHUT DOWN ON ME...WHILE DRIVING 45 MPH IN CONGESTED TRAFFIC ALMOST CAUSING A DEADLY ACCIDENT. THEY SAID THERE IS NO REMEDY YET BUT THEY WILL PUT A NEW DEFECTIVE ALTERNATOR ON MY CAR LEAVING ME IN THE SAME SITUATION IF THIS HAPPENS AGAIN UNTIL THE PROBLEM IS RESOLVED. I FEEL THE CAR SHOULD BE REPLACED AT THEIR EXPENSE AS IT IS NO LONGER SAFE IN MY OPINION FOR ME TO DRIVE WITH CHILDREN BECAUSE WE WERE ALMOST KILLED YESTERDAY WHEN THIS HAPPENED THERE WAS NO WARNING IT JUST WENT DOWN. HEADLIGHT DEFECT. BRAND NEW VEHICLE. DRIVERS SIDE HIGH BEAM MUCH TOO HIGH. HIGH BEAM ONLY SERVES TO LIGHT TREES IN FRONT OF VEHICLE WHEN USED. REPORTED TO SELLING DEALER, AND LEFT CAR FOR SERVICE. SERVICE WRITER STATED THAT THEY HAD CORRECTED THE PROBLEM. BY "ADJUSTING THE HIGH BEAM". AFTER PICKING VEHICLE UP, AND TESTING THE HEADLIGHTS, I FOUND THAT WHAT HAD BEEN DONE IS ADJUSTING THE ENTIRE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT DOWN SUCH THAT THE LOW BEAM WAS UNUSABLE. IN EFFECT, WHAT THEY HAD DONE WAS ADJUSTED THE DRIVER'S SIDE HEADLIGHT SO THAT THE HEIGHT OF THE DRIVER'S SIDE HIGH BEAM MATCHED THE PASSENGER'S SIDE HIGH BEAM. I RETURNED TO THE SERVICING DEALER, AND SHOWED THEM PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE LIGHT PATTERNS RESULTING FROM THEIR ADJUSTMENTS. THEY WERE AT A LOSS AS TO HOW TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. THEY STATE THAT THEY HAVE CONTACTED THE MANUFACTURER IN AN EFFORT TO GET PERMISSION TO REPLACE A DEFECTIVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. UPON LAST CHECKING WITH DEALER, MANUFACTURER HAD NOT GIVEN PERMISSION TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. The abs module lights came on and is not functioning properly. I contacted the dealership and the part has been on back order for years. The abs light, traction, and brake light is on simultaneously. Subsequently my wheel is locked up causing my car to not move at all and brake pedal has no pressure.

The "Vehicle Not in Park" warning message is a safety feature designed to prevent accidents and injuries. It's a standard safety feature in most modern vehicles, including the Dodge Charger. The car is in park but will not turn off instead it runs until it decides it wants to turn off which can take several hours. This is a safety concern and issue that needs to resolved we pay to much money on these vehicles to deal with crappy problems due to bad mechanical issues and features

The contact called on behalf of a customer who owns a 2013 Dodge Charger. The contact who is an independent mechanic, stated that the vehicle was driven to his place of business; however, upon arrival the vehicle was smoking with an abnormally strong fuel odor. The contact stated upon inspecting the vehicle, the contact became aware that the fuel pump was dry, and fuel was leaking onto the ground from the side of the fuel tank. The contact stated that upon removal of the exhaust, the contact became aware that fuel was leaking from the exhaust pipe. The contact stated that when the muffler was removed, there was fuel pouring out of the muffler. Additionally, the contact stated that there was a hole in the heat shield and the fuel tank. The contact stated that the vehicle had two mufflers and no resonators installed. The contact stated that the fuel tank, muffler, exhaust pipe, and heat shield needed to be replaced. The vehicle was currently being repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 168,237.

The contact owns a 2013 Dodge Charger. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the traction control warning light illuminated, and the speed decelerated to approximately 5-15 MPH. After turning off and restarting the vehicle, the vehicle would operate normally however, the failure would recur. The cause of the failure was not determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. The failure mileage was 180,000.

BRAKES- TOTAL BRAKE FAILURE OF MY CAR ISN'T HEATED UP TO THE THIRD LINE. ENGINE- LOUD TICKING. MECHANIC SAID 1 OUT OF 12 LIFTERS IN DRIVER'S SIDE CYLINDER HAS COLLAPSED. THE STEERING STARTED GRABBING AND SQEALING AROUND 81K MILES WHEN I TURN. SOMETIMES IT WOULD BECOME VERY HARD TO CONTROL WHEN SLOWING DOWN TO TURN SUCH AS AT RED LIGHTS OR IN A DRIVE THRU. NO LIGHTS OR SENSORS EVER CAME ON. FROM WHAT I HAVE READ ONLINE THERE ARE SEVERAL 2013 DODGE CHARGERS WITH THE SAME ISSUE. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS AND EXPENSIVE TO HAVE REPAIRED. 2014 DODGE CHARGE POLICE CAR LOSES ALL POWER STEERING WHEN TURNED LEFT. WE HAVE 4 OF THESE MODELS AT OUR POLICE AGENCY AND ALL 4 ARE DOING THE SAME THING. AFTER SPEAKING WITH SEVERAL OTHER POLICE CHIEF'S, THEY ALL STATED THAT THE ELECTROSTATIC POWER STEERING PUMP WAS BAD AND IT WAS A MULTIPLE THOUSAND DOLLAR FIX FOR THEM. OUR LOCAL DODGE DEALER SAYS TO FIX EACH FLEET CAR, THE COST WILL BE OVER $2000 PER CAR. WITH THIS MANY ISSUES, THERE SHOULD BE AN INVESTIGATION AND A RECALL. CURRENTLY HAVING AN ONGOING ISSUE WITH THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS. THE VEHICLE IS IN THE SHOP FOR THE SECOND TIME IN LESS THAN 2 MONTHS FOR THE SAME LIGHTS. TWICE I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD, THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD DO SOMETHING FUNNY AND THE THOSE LIGHTS WOULD COME ON. THE SECOND TIME(CURRENTLY AND OCCURRED ON JUNE 4TH) THE AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AS WELL. THE FIRST TIME THE ABS AND TRACTION LIGHT CAME ON, I WAS TOLD IT WAS A ABS SENSOR, AND I PAID THE DEALERSHIP $250.00. THIS TIME LESS THAN 2 MONTHS LATER, THE DEALERSHIP IS SAYING IT IS YET ANOTHER SENSOR CAUSING THOSE LIGHTS TO ILLUMINATE. AND AS FAR AS THE AIRBAG GOES, IT'S FAULTY WIRING AND THAT IT NEEDED ANOTHER WIRING HARNESS. THESE REPAIRS WOULD COST ME OVER $600.00. I HAVE TWO FRIENDS THAT HAVE THE SAME VEHICLE AND ARE HAVING THE EXACT SAME PROBLEMS WITH THE ABS AND TRACTION CONTROL LIGHTS. THIS SEEMS TO BE A OVERALL DODGE ISSUE AS FAR AS THE CHARGERS GO.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 DODGE CHARGER. WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE MADE AN ABNORMAL SPARKING NOISE AND THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE AIR BAG RATTLED. THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE WINDOW FAILED TO OPEN AND CLOSE INTERMITTENTLY. IN ADDITION, ALL FOUR WINDOWS FAILED INTERMITTENTLY. WHEN THE CRUISE CONTROL WAS ENGAGED, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED WITHOUT WARNING. THE CRUISE CONTROL HAD TO BE DISENGAGED IN ORDER FOR THE VEHICLE TO SLOW DOWN. THE FAILURES RECURRED NUMEROUS TIMES. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE VIN WAS INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBERS: 14V634000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM) AND 15V467000 (AIR BAGS). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 45,000.

04/15/2015 THERE WAS A MUTUAL ACCIDENT OR FAULTY DUE TO SECOND DRIVER BEING BLINDED BY A TRUCK ON A MERGE INTO A DRIVE THRU BANKING AT PNC BANK N 87TH AND COTTAGE GROVE CHICAGO, ILLINOIS. I WAS SITTING IN THE TURN AND THE OTHER CAR HIT THE VEHICLE AT 45 MPH ON A 30 MPH SPEED LIMIT. THERE WAS MINIMAL DAMAGE TO THE OTHER DRIVERS FRONT BUMPER, ALSO STRUCTURAL DAMAGE TO MINE. HOWEVER, THE ENTIRE BUMPER FELL OFF THE VEHICLE, THERE IS APPROXIMATELY 4500 DOLLARS WORTH OF REPAIRS TO BE DONE. AT ANY RATE THE BUMPER SHOULD HAVE SUSTAINED A DENT OR CRACK NOT THE ENTIRE BUMPER FALL OFF AND ALL PLASTIC PIECES HOLDING IT TOGETHER EITHER. WHAT IT IS WITH A 20K + CAR THAT A HIT EVEN AT THAT SPEED WOULD TAKE THE ENTIRE BUMPER OFF A CAR AND ALL PIECES HAVE TO BE REPLACED ALONG WITH THE CONDENSER. THAT'S A REALLY BUM DEAL FOR A CAR THAT SUPPOSED TO BE SAFE. IT CAN'T HANDLE NOTHING. BUT AN OLDER CAR CAN PLEASE INVESTIGATE CAR STRUCTURE FOR DEFECTS. ON APPROXIMATELY 4/16/2014 WHILE DRIVING MY GIRLFRIEND ATTEMPTED TO USE THE SEAT HEATER ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE. WHEN PRESSING THE BUTTON ON THE 8.4 INCH SCREEN WE WERE ABLE TO HEAR A CLICK AND THEN THE FUNCTION WHICH AS ILLUMINATED ON THE SCREEN TURNED OFF. SHE TRIED MULTIPLE TIMES BUT THE HEATED SEAT WOULD NOT STAY ON. I HAD THE DEALERSHIP LOOK UP THIS ISSUE AND THE FOLLOWING WAS FOUND: "CS - B1EB2 - 1B R/F SEAT HEATER SENSOR-CIRCUIT RESISTANCE ABOVE THRESHOLD, INSPECTED HEATED SEAT MODULE CONNECTOR AND HEATED SEAT PAD CONNECTOR LOOKS OK, CHECKED FOR SHORT TO VOLTAGE CIRCUIT P688 OK, CHECKED CONTINUITY FROM MODULE TO CUSHION PAD CONNECTOR CIRCUIT P688 NO CONTINUITY, CHECKED SHORT TO GROUND, CIRCUIT IS SHORTED TO GROUND, REMOVED SEAT INSPECTED WIRING, FOUND WIRING GOT RUB THRU ON SEAT FRAME. INSPECTED HEAT SEAT CUSHION PAD SENSOR, FOUND HEATED SEAT PAD SENSOR INTERNAL FAILURE ORDERED SEAT CUSHION, REPAIR CIRCUIT P688, CLEARED DTCS AND CHECK IF HEATED SEAT IS WORKING, SEAT IS STILL NOT WORKING, R/F SEAT IS READING THAT ITS -40 DEGREES. HAVING MULTIPLE PROBLEMS WITH MY CHARGER WHICH ONLY HAS 7300 MILES ON IT. LIKE OTHERS HAVE MENTIONED, WHEN AT A COMPLETE STOP, THE CAR WILL JUMP FORWARD. FEELS LIKE TRANSMISSION SHIFTING LATE. THEN WHEN DRIVING AND GETTING UP TO SPEED, THE RPMS WILL JUMP UP BUT THE CAR DOES NOT SPEED UP. THE LAST TIME THE RPMS INCREASED, I QUICKLY TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL, AND THE RPMS CONTINUED TO RISE TO 5K. BOTH ISSUES HAPPEN SPORADICALLY. HAVE TAKEN TO DEALER 2X. FIRST TIME THEY HAD FOR 2 DAYS, REPROGRAMMED THE TRANSMISSION AND SAID THEY FIXED IT. I TOOK IT HOME OVER THE WEEKEND AND BOTH ISSUES STILL HAPPENED. TOOK CAR BACK IN ON MONDAY AND THIS TIME THEY HAD IT FOR 4 DAYS AND GAVE ME A RENTAL CAR. TODAY I WAS TOLD THAT CHRYSLER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM (VALVE BODY SEPARATE PLATE PART) AND IS WORKING ON A FIX. THE PART/FIX WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AVAILABLE AT END OF MAY/EARLY JUNE, BUT SINCE IT'S ALREADY 6/5, OBVIOUSLY THAT DATE WAS NOT AN ACCURATE TIME FRAME. (STAR CASE NO. S1421000013 DATE 4/9/14) THE DEALERSHIP STATES THEY CANNOT DO ANYTHING TO FIX THIS UNTIL THE PART IS AVAILABLE. THEY COULD NOT LET ME KEEP THE RENTAL CAR (WARRANTY COVERAGE TIME MAX OUT), AND GAVE ME BACK MY CHARGER TO DRIVE UNTIL THEY CAN FIX IT. MY 2013 DODGE CHARGER HAS POWER ADJUSTABLE PEDALS. AFTER OWNING THE CAR FOR ABOUT 6 MONTHS, THE PEDALS BEGAN TO RANDOMLY MOVE ON THEIR OWN. AS I ALWAYS KEPT THE PEDALS IN THE FULLY RETRACTED POSITION, THIS MEANT THAT THE PEDALS WOULD MOVE TOWARDS ME AND IF MY FOOT WAS ON THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE CAR WOULD ACCELERATE AS THE PEDALS MOVED TOWARDS ME. THE OCCURRENCES WERE RANDOM, SOMETIMES HAPPENING MULTIPLE TIMES WITHIN A FEW MINUTES AND SOMETIMES AT LOW SPEEDS AND SOMETIMES AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. SOMETIMES IT WOULDN'T HAPPEN FOR SEVERAL DAYS, THEN START DOING IT AGAIN. I TOOK THE CAR INTO A CHRYSLER DEALER IN EARLY JANUARY, 2014 AND THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T LOOK AT IT FOR SEVERAL DAYS. I DIDN'T TAKE IT BACK AND PUT IT ON MY TO-DO LIST AS THERE WERE A FEW OTHER THINGS ON THE CAR THAT I NEEDED FIXED AND WAS DOING A LOT OF TRAVELING. REGARDLESS, THE CONDITION STOPPED IN LATE MARCH AND DIDN'T OCCUR FOR OVER 3 WEEKS. AS IT WAS EXTREMELY COLD IN MICHIGAN, I THOUGHT THAT THE WEATHER MIGHT HAVE BEEN A CONTRIBUTOR TO THE PROBLEM. BUT THEN, IT STARTED HAPPENING AGAIN IN MID-APRIL WHEN IT WAS WARM, SOMETIMES 6-10 TIMES WITHIN SEVERAL MINUTES. WHEN TRYING TO MOVE THE PEDALS BACK TO THE FULLY RECESSED POSITION WITH THE SWITCH ON THE SIDE OF THE SEAT, IT WOULDN'T RESPOND AND I HAD TO MOVE THE SEAT BACK AND FORTH A FEW TIMES BEFORE THE PEDAL SWITCH WORKED. I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM WORK AROUND 2AM ON TUESDAY MORNING 10/22/2013. I WAS JUST COMING OUT OF A CONSTRUCTION ZONE AND IT JUST TURNED BACK TO 55MPH. I WAS GOING APPROXIMATELY 45 MPH WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN I HEARD SOMETHING IN THE FRONT END AND THE STEERING WHEEL BEGAN TO SHAKE AND IT STARTED MOVING BACK AND FORTH WITHOUT ME MOVING IT. I LOST ALL CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE AND IT SHOT ME OVER TOWARDS THE RIGHT AND SLAMMED ME INTO THE GUARDRAIL. I CONTINUED TO TRY TO MOVE THE WHEEL TO THE LEFT TO GET THE CAR AWAY FROM THE GUARDRAIL BUT THE WHOLE CAR SLID UP AGAINST THE GUARDRAIL BEFORE I COULD REGAIN CONTROL AND MOVE THE CAR AWAY FROM THE GUARDRAIL. THIS CAR WAS BOUGHT ON 10/10/2013. I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE IT FOR TWO FULL WEEKS BEFORE THIS HAPPENED. THERE IS ALMOST $12,000 WORTH OF DAMAGE DONE TO THE CAR. I HAVE FILED A CLAIM WITH CHRYSLER GROUP REGARDING THIS AND THEY INSPECTED THE VEHICLE BUT ACCORDING TO THEM THERE WAS TOO MUCH DAMAGE TO TELL EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED SO THEY AREN'T WILLING TO DO ANYTHING FOR ME. I AM A VERY EXPERIENCED AND SAFE DRIVER, SOMEONE WHO HAS DRIVEN TRACTOR TRAILER OVER THE ROAD FOR 5 YEARS AND IF YOU LOOK AT MY DRIVING RECORD IT WOULD MATCH UP WITH WHAT I AM SAYING. THERE WAS SOMETHING VERY WRONG WITH THAT VEHICLE THAT NIGHT AND I COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY HURT OR EVEN KILLED.
