I was slowing down to turn and I couldn't push my brake pedal down it completely locked up. If I wasn't already slowing down I would've hit a power pole and potentially lost my life. My ABS light never came on and it's still not on. After I got parked and shut my car off the check engine light came on.

I have a 2018 Terrain SLT. On 11/20/24, I was headed home from my commute to work driving my terrain with all the confidence in the world because I hadn't had any major issue with it. In 5pm stop and go traffic I decided on another route to my son's school to pick him up from practice. As the light at the end of the bridge turned red, I proceeded to stop, and my brake pedal was as stiff as stone. Going across that bridge I was literally standing up on the brake pedal with my back and shoulder against the roof of the truck for support trying to stop. As I came close to the cars that had already stopped I contemplated jumping out of the car but I decided to keep at it. It was God and God alone that cleared a shoulder for me to be able to pull over. I was petrified!! No signs, no brake noises, no hesitations, nothing! No warning lights on the dash, no alerts, NOTHING! Brakes were just gone! The mechanic said the vacuum pump had exploded and it was a known issue with terrains and that there was a bulletin regarding this. Pieces of the metal from the exploded vacuum pump were found inside of the engine. The mechanic was upset about the event and said to notify GM, something needed to be done about it. He gave me the vacuum pump to show the GM service center and he said one of the mechanics took pics of the metal in the engine. I called GM and was told to bring it in to a GM service shop so that they could check it out, but at my expense because the manufacturer warranty had expired. I AM SO UPSET WITH GM!! I have anxiety every time I go to press the brake! Panic attacks thinking about the possibility of this happening with my kids/elderly parents in tow. Thank God for covering me and all the drivers and their families that could have been hurt. Thank God my son/elderly parents weren't in the car! The fact that this is a known issue and it hasn't been addressed is heartbreaking. GM should do the right thing and recall these trucks, asap.

I was 30 seconds away to pull in my driveway. WARNING came up on screen (service) TRANSMISSION UNABLE TO SHIFT. When I turned into my driveway the vehicle stopped suddenly & threw itself into PARK. Vehicle still running but would not go into any gear, drive or reverse. I then pushed the PARK button & I think it said EMERGENCY BRAKE RELEASED. I then proceeded to drive up my driveway with no problem. Haven’t gotten back in vehicle yet as I am afraid to but l made appointment to take it to the dealership to check it out. On 3/24. (Linus Cadillac Buick GMC)Thank god it happened in my driveway as it would’ve caused an accident. ( the vehicle was driven up the Rd. walking distance. Sat there for an hr. Visiting my family. Then was driving home When incident happened. So it wasn’t running hot or anything.

My car is allowing me to drive without the key fob. I've drove two hours away from my house where my key fob was. It allows me to shut off the vehicle. Vehicle says ' no remote detected. Press Brake to restart. This is the 3rd incident. This is definitely a safty issue. Someone can take my car 2 hours or so from my residence.

The clips popped off or something happened and now the headliner is hanging and I can't see out the rear view mirror. It's a hazard for anyone sitting in backseat. I've had it in 2 different shops .needs to be a recall because I've read several other people having this issue

This complaint is for the rear camera / back up camera system: After purchasing the vehicle the back up camera started to get hazy around 25,000 miles. At 35,000 miles it was completely useless. I purchased a second back up camera and had the body shop install it. It has now been right at the same mileage, 30,000 miles, and the camera is again hazy. This is not an external haze where I can just wipe the camera off, even carefully so as to not scratch the lens or cover, but a haze that is behind (inside) the protective outer lens (cap). This has happened with both cameras and I am facing installing a third. My vehicle has less than 70,000 miles on it! I've had other vehicles where the camera lasted way longer (lifetime!) of the vehicle. When I went to the dealer with the complaint on the original equipment they said it was because the lens was scratched, but didn't look any further that the lens was foggy 'inside'. The safety of myself and others comes into play when I cannot see what is behind me: trees, curbs, vehicles, people, drop-offs. Also, at night when in reverse the dash area the feed goes to is so bright that it blinds the driver and the system is unable to be dimmed to allow proper viewing.

I was driving my car December 10, 2023 when I was at a red light my truck completely shut down I could not reverse I could not put in drive I could not put in Park I could not switch gears. I didn’t know what happened. I had to call a tow truck to get me home once I got home I got my car towed to a shop. Before my car was towed I contacted OnStar. OnStar did a diagnosis on my car and it came back ECM which stands for electric control module. When my car was at the shop i got a tune up & the mechanic was able to start my car. Driving again on the date of December 15, 2023 it did it again and it said ECM. I was paranoid because I was on the expressway I had too get my car towed to the Dealership. This is the second time that my car has did this. I keep all maintenance up on my car. I’m not understanding what’s going on. I feel like it should be a recall on this issue. It was very dangerous both times that my car stopped. Now yet again I’m waiting to see what the problem is. This is definitely a safety recall issue. I have a 2018 Denali terrain with only 71,000 miles i keep up with oil changes and maintenance on my vehicle. Who do i contact about this concerning scary situation, Will it take for a person to die before this is is rectified. Someone please contact me or respond to this situation. So we can request for a recall on this serious matter

My vehicle’s engine was the component that failed. I was driving home from work. It is a forty-two minute commute. I was five minutes away from home when the vehicle slowed down in speed to a cruise. There were no issues prior after startup. There were no strange sounds, no start up issues, and no lights on the dashboard at all. I noticed that the vehicle had put itself into neutral gear. When I tried to stop the vehicle by hitting the break, the break did not work. I put my foot on the gas pedal and the car did not speed up. I could not change the gears. There was nothing I could do. The vehicle came to a complete stop when it powered off. When the car was put into accessory mode, there was an error message that stated the engine/vehicle was in low power mode. I was not able to start the car’s engine again. It was useless. The only way to move the car anywhere was to have it towed. This failure was scary and dangerous because it occurred in the middle of the night on a main road. Cars are known to drive above the speed limit past midnight in this area. I was glad that there were no cars on the road at the time. I was not aware of this failure occurring for my vehicle no were there any other known recalls. After doing some personal research, I found that GMC and certain Chevy models are having this problem, but no source listed any GMC Terrains as affected vehicles; although the same thing that happened to other people happened to me. I purchased an extended warranty through Fidelity Warranty Services, Inc. (Platinum) when I purchased the vehicle. They were the ones that had done all the necessary inspections for the filed claim once the vehicle was taken to a GMC Service center: Anderson Buick in Cockeysville, MD.

The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, who diagnosed the vehicle with transmission failure. The contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The transmission was replaced with a used transmission, but the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer who diagnosed and determined that the replacement transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. I bought this car used and had only had it about a month when I was driving to work and was in slow traffic on the freeway when my car slowed to a stop despite the fact that I had my foot on the gas pedal. It turns out it was a transmission failure. My safety and the safety of the drivers around me were put at risk because I was unable to move my car over to the shoulder and out of the lane of traffic. Traffic was slow but was still moving. My vehicle is available for inspection but I’ve already had it repaired so I no longer have the faulty transmission. The problem was confirmed by an independent service center where I had it repaired. The vehicle was inspected by the dealer and the independent service center. The dealer had it for 12 days but was unable to diagnose it so I took it to an independent service center. It was also briefly looked at and listened to by the highway patrol officer who assisted me and he also thought that the transmission had failed. The check engine light was on when this incident occurred but I was having an issue with one of the glow plugs and I thought that that was the reason. The check engine light came on the night before the transmission failed.

My vehicle put itself in park in the middle of an intersection while waiting to make a left turn in the middle of rush hour traffic. The car could not even be placed in neutral to be pushed out of the way of oncoming traffic. Narrowly avoided a collision.

While driving in the rain at about 25-30 mph I noticed a loss of propulsion and before I could turn off the main road the vehicle came to a rolling stop and would not recognize any gears. causing us to block the roadway and had to have it towed home. Took to local car dealer they said it RDCCM abnormal errors like u0422-00 and brake control module errors. Further diagnostics were need to figure out the cause and it possible that the Transmision is having problems now! This should be recalled.

The infotainment system will just randomly start going haywire and when it happens, you cannot use the touchscreen. It will try to randomly delete app icons such as the camera, it will try to delete connected phones, it will try to delete radio favorites and it will move app icons all around. These are just a few examples of things that happen.

The door locks began to have issues; the locks started to work only occassionally for no apparent reason. I've been locked out of the car several times and had to use the auxiliary key. Plus I couldn't lock the car while I was inside as the interior door lock button wouldn't lock or unlock the doors either. It's not a kefob or battery issue and no lights on the dashboard. The dealer reports that they couldn't reproduce the issue. However they found corrision on the electrical harness inside the passenger front door. I replaced an electrical harness in the rear bumper 18 months prior for corrision found. The dealer says they received a service bulletin on the "electrical harness" issue however the dealer won't cover the cost of $500 to replace the harness. As this deals with the electrical system, my concern is that it may effect the operation of other components of the car while it's running. Safety and security is of the utmost importance whether at home or away as it regards to being able to lock or unlock the doors.

On Wed., Dec. 6 around 3:15 pm during heavy traffic on FWY [XXX], cars slowed down to a brief complete stop. When I went to start slowly as traffic began to move, engine completely shut down. I could not open windows or my door to get out of vehicle. Immediately called 911 and was transferred to DPS. It took approximately 65 minutes before I had help and was finally towed from the dangerous freeway lane where I was stuck and with vehicle completely stalled and locked down, I couldn't even get car in N to be able to have help moving to a non dangerous place outside of the FWY lanes. This is the fifth time this car locks down. I've learned to open a panel by the foot brake area, pull a lever in that area and be able to move the car to a safe location until I got towed into the dealer. It is the second time that this has happened in a potentially dangerous street and now Freeway. Danger to myself and many others that had to maneuver around me. The first time (around 2020) the car totally shut down, it was reported that a computer harness had to be replaced. This last time I was faced with such a dangerous situation on a FWY it was determined that the ECM (Engine Control Module) had caused the shutdown and locked the vehicle to where I could not even get out for close to an hour. The ECM was replaced by GM and the car is running again, but my shock and trauma still haunt me as to the self and others danger that was present. . GMC Dealer finally determined after several attempts that ECM was the problem. Unsure if available to inspect it. Delivered car back 12/8. . Heavy freeway traffic at peak hour put me and many others in serious danger. . My dealer report reads it was difficult to diagnose and finally find ECM was the problem. .Vehicle has not been inspected by Manufacturer, police, or insurance. .A few minutes before this lock-down an engine icon appeared while on the FWY. My car started experiencing a strange problem while braking on June 15. I released the parking brake leaving my parents driveway. I coasted backwards (as usual), and when I pressed the brake the car didn't stop as expected and the brake pedal was very hard to press. It eventually stopped. I put into park, then put the emergency brake on, then released all and tried again and encountered the same issue, that it was very very slow to stop and the brake pedal was hard to push in. I got home, parked the car - tested the reverse brake on flat surface and didn't notice the issue. The next day, the problem started happening with the front brake as well and an error code popped up that said 'check brake assist' which I've never seen before. I brought it to my local mechanic, who took a look and said that it's a vacuum pump failure, and the result is a lot of metal shards were released into the engine when the vacuum pump failed. My mechanic recommended I take to a GMC dealer for further evaluation. I looked up the recall on this issue, and see that it impacts a lot cars, including the 2017 GMC terrain, but not my 2018 GMC terrain. I am going to take it to the GMC dealer but I'm afraid I won't be able to afford the repair, and it doesn't seem like there was anything I could have done to prevent this from happening.

Brake vacuum pump failed causing engine damage. Camshaft on national back order. Vehicle has been in repair shop for 1.5 months waiting on part. No ETA. There has been recall for similar vehicles with same issue, failure, damage. But not for this VIN. It’s the same failure with same damage. How is this not a recall for this VIN?

While driving the vehicle the vacuum pump failed and caused the camshaft to seize and physically break which caused the break peddle to become hard and breaking the vehicle was limited and almost nonexistent, which caused an extremely dangerous situation on the highway.

In 2022 and now in sept of 2024 my entire braking system has failed. Cause you a complete in abilty to stop the vehicle. Upon this failure without any warning peice of the braking system connected to the engine shoots shrapnel into my engine and causes the cam to be destroyed. Now I can't get my car back because of a shortage on this part.

The Safety Restraint System warning keeps coming on and off as well as the air bag light. It happened months ago so I took it in and got it looked at and scanned. All the seatbelts were checked and the scan came back with nothing. Then it stopped for a couple months and now it has started again. Ive had 14 surgeries in the last little less than 4 years and I'm about to go into my 3rd back surgery since November. I cannot get into an accident and not have airbags as I've also had brain surgery 3 winters ago as well. I am disabled and do not have a ton of money either for fixes that aren't necessary but this safety issue is crucial to me. I see that many 2018s have been recalled for the exact same issue that I'm having however mine doesn't come up with that but it is happening to me so that should be included. I also need some direction if not as to why this is happening because I cannot afford to have a dealership, no less, replace every tiny little thing looking for the culprit at $150 an hour when I live on $1,200 a month and most goes to medical. Please advise on what to to or where to start. Thank you.

The vehicle was driven to the shoulder of the roadway and the parking brake was activated, and the vehicle was turned off. The contact stated that the transmission failed to shift into gear, and the vehicle was dragged onto a flatbed truck and towed to the residence. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. When driving the car at low speeds, or right after having been stopped for a few moments. Upon, acceleration, the car will sometimes go into a limp mode. On the DIC, will be displayed a warning about how the car will have the speed reduced after 175 miles and to check the emissions system. The speed has already been reduced at that point. Also displayed maybe a warning about how the power has been reduced. USUALLY, if I turn off the car and wait about a minute, I can restart the car and drive at a normal highway speed again. But not always. The warning on the DIC, will usually turn off if the car does return to normal speeds after about 5 - 10 miles. However, the check engine light may still stay on for several days. This problem can be a daily occurrence. I've had the car in the shop several times, and they have been unable to fix the problem. The car can be unpredictably unsafe, when speed is instantly reduced to 30 mph!

I have a 2018 GMC TERRAIN which I bought brand new from General Motors. In May 2022, the vehicle started jerking/hoping and trying to stall when the speed gets to 55 miles per hour or higher. I have taken it to the dealership on three different occasions for repair and I still have this issue. General Motors engineers were involved in every step of the repairs. They just do not know what is going on with the car or fix it and they are too stubborn. The dealership told me today that they cannot do anything else to the car. They also said they had a code from the engine last week and General Motors said they do not know what that code means. They are forcing me to accept/drive the car in this unsafe condition. I have contacted them multiple times and they do not care.

WAS LEAVING A PARKING SPOT. VEHICLE REVERSED FINE, PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT BEGAN TO JERK AND DID NOT ACCELERATE PROPERLY. MADE IT TO THE NEXT AISLE TO PARK IT AND GET OUT OF WAY. ONCE PARKED, SHUT OFF VEHICLE. STARTED IT. REVERSED IT AND IT WOULD ONLY REV UP, DID NOT REVERSE. PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT JERKED FORWARD, HARD AND KEPT JERKING AS I PULLED FORWARD. PARKED IT AGAIN AND TURNED IT OFF. CALLED DEALERSHIP, WHO CALLED A TOW SERVICE TO TOW IT TO THEM. ATTEMPTED TO SHOW TOW GUY THE ISSUE AT HIS REQUEST, UPON HIS ARRIVAL, PUT IT IN REVERSE AND IT REVVED UP BRIEFLY THEN JERKED INTO REVERSE. HAD TO MOVE VEHICLE TO CLEAR AREA TO GET IT ON THE TOW TRUCK SO I PUT IT IN DRIVE AND IT BEGAN TO JERK CONSTANTLY AND BARELY ACCELERATING AS I DROVE AND FELT AND SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS GOING TO SHUT OFF (BUT DIDN'T) BEFORE I MADE IT TO WHERE I COULD PARK AGAIN. LUCKILY I WAS IN A PARKING LOT AND NOT ON THE ROAD. I'VE HAD THIS VEHICLE EXACTLY A MONTH. VERY SCARY.

Component Affected: Service Brakes, Hydraulic – Brake Vacuum Pump Summary of the Problem: I am reporting a serious safety issue involving the brake vacuum pump on my 2018 GMC Terrain. The brake pump failed catastrophically ("blew up"), resulting in a sudden loss of braking power. This occurred without warning and posed a significant risk to my safety and others on the road. We were traveling to vacation in Florida and thankfully had just gotten off the interstate. Details: The failure caused the brake pedal to become extremely hard to press, and the vehicle required a much longer distance to stop. We experienced no brake at the brake booster and a blown vacuum pump is due to a faulty vacuum pump which is a known issue for this model. Fortunately, no accident occurred, but the situation could have easily led to a collision. A certified mechanic confirmed that the brake vacuum pump exploded and needs to be replaced. I have incurred significant out-of-pocket repair costs due to this issue. We had to uber to our vacation room, get Walmart Plus to have groceries delivered to our room. We had to have Uber Eats deliver other supplies. We have had to walk to various places for dinner and entertainment because Avis and Budget had no vehicles available to rent and Enterprise was closed as we arrived on Saturday afternoon. I have checked for recalls and service bulletins using my VIN, but none are currently listed for this specific issue, despite similar problems being reported in other GM vehicles. Request: I urge the NHTSA to investigate this issue further. The failure of a critical braking component without warning is a serious safety concern. I believe this may be part of a broader pattern of brake system failures in GM vehicles and should be addressed through a recall or safety campaign. Also, the estimate for the repair is $2,500 so any reimbursement would be greatly appreciated. We just received this estimate but I can provide it at a later date.

Safety was put at risk when brakes went out without warning, and unable to use emergency brake at that time. Car was serviced for over $1700, with the mechanics stating that the piece “blew up.”

I HAVE AROUND 6 TO 7 MONTH WITH THE VEHICLE AND SINCE DAY ONE IT MADE A WEARD NOISE IN THE ENGINE TRANSMISSION AREA AND THE VEHICLE DOESNT RESPOND AND PERFORM WELL I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND AT FIRST THEY STATED IT WAS SOMETHING WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND THEN THEY STARTED GIVING ME MANYDIFERENT EXCUSES AND THAT IT WAS NORMAL BUT STILL THE SUV WOULDNT RESPOND I CALLED GM AND THEY OPENED A TICKET BUT AFTER THAT THEY SAID THEY COULD NOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT IN OTHER WORDS THEY TOLD ME I HAD TO DEAL WITH THE ISSUE. YESTURDAY FEB 26,2019 THE SUV STARTED HAVING WORST PROBLEMS AS TO WHERE IT WOULD NOT RUN MOR THEN 33 MILES A HOUR IT STARTED SHAKING RPMS GOING WILD THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 5500 MILES ON IT. The car very suddenly went into a reduced engine power mode, with check engine light and was immediately parked. Figuring I could turn the car off and turn it back on, however it sputtered turning off and shook violently before I was able to turn it off. It would then not turn back over, so I left it off and had a tow truck drive it to a GMC mechanic. The GMC mechanic was unable to diagnose an issue after days. I then had it towed to another local mechanic who stated the parts were "junk" and the engine needed to be replaced. Engine codes were related to the camshaft sensor and brake booster. It is my understanding the vacuum pump broke off into pieces, went into and destroyed my engine.

THE NEW AUTO STOP THAT SHUTS OFF THE MOTOR WHEN YOU'RE AT A RED LIGHT DOESN'T WORK PROPERLY. SOMETIMES IT SHUTS OFF, BUT MOST OF THE TIME IT DOESN'T BEEN TO THE DEALER TWO TIMES AND THE RADIO WILL NOT COME ON AT TIMES EVEN THOUGH GM HAS PERFORMED UPDATES ON THESE PROBLEMS. THE PROBLEMS STILL EXIST

PURCHASED A BRAND NEW GMC TERRAIN. 12 DAYS AND 460 MILES LATER THE SERVICE ENGINE SOON LIGHT CAME ON. TOOK IT TO DEALERSHIP FOR A P050F. THIS IS CODE FOR A LEAK IN THE BOOSTER. THEY DID NOT REPAIR ANYTHING, JUST CHECKED FOR LEAK AND RESET ENGINE LIGHT. AS I READ MORE, THE PROBLEM AFFECTS THE BRAKES ABILITY TO FUNCTION PROPERLY INCREASING DANGER TO DRIVER. THERE IS ALSO DEFECTIVE STOP/IDLE ON THE ENGINE THAT NO LONGER WORKS. I WAS JUST DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD IN TOWN WHEN IT POPPED ON. GM AND YOUNG'S HAVE REFUSED TO REFUND THIS DEFECTIVE VEHICLE.

Yesterday morning I noticed a smell of gas around my car. I looked and didn’t see anything. I drove to work. Once I got back to my vehicle after work I could smell gas as I approached my vehicle. I looked under my car and noticed a puddle of gas. I went to the gas station to put enough fuel for me to make it home in my vehicle and as I was putting the gas I noticed a drip under the vehicle. Once I got home and parked my vehicle I looked under the car and there was a rapid and steady drip coming from the fuel tank. The same make, mode and year of my vehicle has been recalled for this.

THIS CAR, A 2018 GMC TERRAIN IS EQUIPPED WITH AUTO START / STOP, A STANDARD FEATURE THAT TURNS OFF THE ENGINE WHEN BRAKE IS APPLIED, SUCH AS AT A STOP LIGHT. THE ENGINE TURNS OFF WHILE BRIEFLY STOPPED AT A STOP SIGN. THIS IS DANGEROUS AND A SAFETY ISSUE. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO PULL INTO A TRAFFIC LANE WITH THE ENGINE OFF, I HAVE EXPERIENCED AN UNSAFE LAG BEFORE THE ENGINE RESTARTS. GM HAS STATED, THE ENGINE CAN BE TURNED BACK ON BY REMOVING YOUR FOOT BRIEFLY FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL. SERIOUSLY ??? WHILE BEHIND ANOTHER VEHICLE, I WILL NOT FOLLOW THIS PROCEDURE. I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE THE ENGINE WILL RESTART AND LUNGE FORWARD, STRIKING THE VEHICLE AHEAD. ADDITION TO REPORT 11091743. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FOR WARNING OF TRANSMISSION, STABILITRAK, PARKING ASSIST AND NOTIFICATION THAT VEHICLE WAS UNSAFE TO DRIVE (MAY 2, 2018). VEHICLE PICKED UP (MAY 11, 2018) AFTER SERIES OF REPAIRS. I DROVE APPROXIMATELY 15 MILES AND THE VEHICLE BEGAN JERKING AND STALLING. AT THE FINAL JERK THE VEHICLE WENT FROM 35 MPH TO 5MPH AND WOULD NOT ACCELLERATE. THERE WERE SEVERAL LOUD NOISES AND A BURNING SMELL. THE VEHICLE HAD TO BE TOWED TO MY RESIDENCE. WHEN I PICKED UP THE VEHICLE FROM JIM CAUSLEY I ASKED IF IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE. I RECEIVED NO RESPONSE. I ASKED ABOUT THE REPAIRS AND I WAS TOLD THERE WERE SOME LOOSE WIRES AND MINOR ADJUSTMENTS. ONCE AGAIN MY LIFE WAS PUT IN JEOPARDY BECAUSE OF A VEHICLE FAILING TO OPERATE WHILE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC.

STOPPED AT A LIGHT TO MAKE A LEFT TURN. THE VEHICLE JERKED, THEN SHIFTED FROM DRIVE TO PARK. THE INFO SYSTEM GAVE ME THE FOLLOWING MESSAGES: TRANSMISSION, STABILITRAK AND PARKING ASSIST. I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AND TRIED TO RESTART IT. I GOT A MESSAGE THAT SAID "THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE TO DRIVE.:" AT THIS TIME NON OF THE GEAR OPTIONS WERE AVAILABLE. A ROSEVILLE, MICHIGAN POLICE OFFICER HAD TO POSITION HERSELF BEHIND ME BECSUSE CARS WERE GOING AROUND ME ON BOTH SIDES (MY FOUR WAY BLINKERS WERE ON).THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER WAS UNABLE TO PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL, THUS MY VEHICLE HAD TO BE DRAGGED ONTO THE TRUCK. AT THE DEALER THEY WERE UNABLE TO CHANGE GEARS AND ONCE AGAIN MY VEHICLE WAS DRAGGED OFF THE TOW TRUCK PRIOR TO THIS INCIDENT. I REPORTED TO THE DEALER THE ROCKY, BOUNCY, PULLING RIDE WHICH MADE THE VEHICLE HARD TO CONTROL. I ALSO REPORTED THE JERKING WHILE DRIVING AND IN THE AUTO STOP. April 2025, Vacuum Pump went out meaning lost breaks going 60 miles per hour down the road after engine light came on. Left me and two children stranded 2 hours from home with no way to get back except a tow. Now September 2025 Cam Shafts are out as well as Vacuum Pump. Stranded boyfriend and I two hours away again. Now metal in oil and warranty is not willing to cover it due to the vacuum pump going out. Made a post on Facebook and got lots of feedback on how their newer terrains have done the same things. Work in insurance and have people car pertaining to their terrains wondering if we cover engine replacements. There is major issues with these vehicle. Mine only has 107,000 miles on it and I have 12,000 left to pay. The motor is shot and dealership wants to “flush” the metal out of the engine. Very frustrated, I put 12,000 out of my college fund to have a reliable vehicle for my two kids and now this is all I have. A car that doesn’t run. I called warranty and the man I talked to even said that they get a lot of calls for these cars needing to be fixed. I am at a loss on what to do now. The below information about the incident is for the most recent one happening in September. I know that this sounds like a warranty and dealership issue but I guaranty if you send something out to terrain owners they will report major issues that they have had. Leaving them stuck in loans and no where to go.

The vacuum pump started leaking and the car was parked immediately. When The pump was pulled out to be replaced, the reason for the leak was identified. The vacuum pump had busted into small pieces which are now in the engine.

The contact owned a 2018 GMC Terrain. The contact stated that while driving and nearly coming to a complete stop in the right lane, another vehicle driving approximately 40-50 MPH crashed into the rear of the vehicle, causing the contact to hit her face against the steering wheel, and the contact became unconscious temporarily. The contact stated that upon regaining consciousness, the contact noticed that the vehicle had moved to the grass by the left lane of the road, where traffic was going in the opposite direction. It was unknown whether the vehicle was involved in a second collision. A message advising that an accident was detected and inquiring whether 911 should be contacted was displayed. The contact stated that the air bags failed to deploy, and the front driver's side seat belt failed to retract as needed. A bystander opened the driver's side door to verify that the contact was safe. The contact noticed that she was bleeding significantly and was unable to move the right shoulder and the neck. The emergency units assisted the contact out of the vehicle. The emergency units placed braces on the contact's neck and placed the contact on a stretcher. The contact was transported to the hospital, where the contact underwent X-rays and CT scans. The contact was informed that she had sustained a concussion, lumbar injuries, a fractured nose, loss of taste and smell, laceration on the inner and outer side of the bottom lip, carpal tunnel on the right hand, severe whiplash, laceration on the right shoulder, and a cut behind the right ear. The contact was in the process of undergoing MRIs. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and totaled, but was still under investigation. The dealer was not notified of the failure. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was filed; however, no further assistance was provided. The failure mileage was unknown.

The "Service Safety Restraint System" warning light appears on the dashboard and warning chimes continually sound. To my knowledge GMC had a recall for this in 2018. I purchased the vehicle in 2021. I contacted GMC and told them this issue and they informed me that there are no recalls on the vehicle. My concerns being that airbags are fully functional.

Timing chain. It had no warning and failed due to poor design and gm in Europe fixed/addressed the issue by installing a plate behind the tensioner a part that isn’t available in the us.

While driving the vehicle which only has 68,000 miles the reduced engine power warning light appeared. As quickly as was safe the car was pulled to the shoulder. It was towed to the dealer who states the Vacuum pump seized causing the camshaft phase actuator locating pin to spin. Originally they stated a new camshaft and vacuum pump were needed at $3,500, but now state the entire engine is damaged and must be replaced at cost of $12,000. The vehicle was well serviced and this manufacturing flaw lead to the vehicle be stopped on the road putting both the occupants and others around at risk.

On 9/3/23 I was travelling down interstate 94 in Illinois when all of a sudden my check engine light came on. Not knowing what the issue was, but knowing that the car still seemed to be OK and I was only a few miles from home I decided to drive home and figure out the issue from there. At this point I had no idea that the brakes had completely locked up. Once I realized what was happening I did my best to slow the vehicle down by decelerating, frantically pumping on the locked up brakes, and then finally slowing enough to take an exit and roll in to a gas station. Frankly, it was the most terrifying moment of my life travelling 70 MPH without the ability to stop. Upon inspection, the independent service tech informed us that the vacuum pump had exploded (yes, exploded) and that he had never seen anything like it, especially in a car with less than 70,000 miles. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The vacuum pump failed and unfortunately it completely exploded so there were only a few pieces left inside of the engine. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My brakes locked up completely on the interstate, with my family in the car, and I was unable to stop. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes. The independent service center where I currently have the vehicle has confirmed, and spoken with GM. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No, GMC refuses to do anything about it even though there is a prior recall for the same part on other GMC vehicles during the same time frame. I'm told it's the exact same part. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes, roughly 1 minute prior to the breaks locking up the "check engine" light came on.

1. 2018 Terrain would not start in a parking lot. Remote was used after several attempts to start with push button failed, and after a slight hesitation , engine started. Vehicle was driven about 6 miles without incident. 2. Vehicle was driven about 10 miles the next day and start/stop engaged at a stop light but would not restart. After about 3 minutes of cycling throught the starting procedure, the vehicle started. Drove another 8 miles without incident. 3. Next morning, drove about 3 miles to intersection where start/stop engaged but would not restart. After about 30 minutes of cycling through starting procedure and an attempt to jump start was made the vehicle restarted. At this point, the vehicle was taken to Romain GMC for service. A new battery was installed and other related operations.After about 10-15 miles, the vehicle would not start. Remote was attempted but it would not start. After about an hour, vehicle started and was driven back to Romain avoiding the stop/ start engagement.

SCREEN WENT BLACK AND WARNING CHIMES AND SEAT VIBRATION DID NOT GO OFF WHEN BACKING UP. HAD TO FILE A CLAIM WITH INSURANCE TO FIX MY DENTED BUMPER. I ALSO EXPERIENCE ISSUES WITH THE AUDIO BUTTONS ON THE STEERING WHEEL. I AM NOT ABLE TO CHANGE THE SONG IN I AM ON APPLE PLAY AND THERE IS ALWAYS A DELAY WHEN CHANGING RADIO STATIONS.

Car gives a "Power Steering Reduced, Drive With Care" message after turning the wheel one direction and braking simultaneously. After message is displayed, power steering is no longer available, and this can happen while driving around a curve. Once car is powered off for longer than 1 minute, can turn back on with no problem, but problem can come back just the same. Took to GMC dealer. They recalibrated my car, but problem came back 1 month later. They said they can replace the whole electric steering system, but that may not fix the problem, as they do not know what the real problem is. Vehicle was purchased used with 50K miles.

THE SERVICE STABILITRAK LIGHT CONTINUES TO COME ON. WHEN IT DOES, ALMOST ALL OF THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH LIGHT UP AND THE CAR PUTS ITSELF IN NEUTRAL AND SHUTS OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED 5 TIMES IN THE PAST TWO WEEKS. TWICE WITH MY [XXX] IN THE CAR. PARTS OF THIS DOCUMENT HAVE BEEN REDACTED TO PROTECT PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). THE CAR WAS PURCHASED 12/23/2020 AND IT FIRST SHUT OFF WITH THE SERVICE STABILITRAK WARNING 12/31/2020. I'VE TAKEN IT TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. THEY REPLACED THE FRONT RIGHT WHEEL SENSOR TODAY AND IMMEDIATELY AFTER LEAVING THEIR LOT, IT SHUT OFF TWICE. I DID A SEARCH ON THE VIN AND FOUND THAT THIS VEHICLE HAD ISSUES AT 11K MILES AND 27K MILES. NOW AGAIN AT 55K MILES. THE CAR JUST SHUTS ITSELF OFF WHILE DRIVING. FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED, I WAS ROUNDING A CORNER IN HIGH TRAFFIC AND IN MID TURN, THE CAR SHUT OFF. I WAS ALMOST HIT BY SEVERAL CARS. THIS VEHICLE IS DANGEROUS. THE CAR KEEPS REVVING AND DOESN'T SHIFT INTO GEAR. YOU HAVE TO LIFT YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL AND GIVE IT A FEW SECONDS AND THEM PRESS IT AGAIN. HOWEVER WHEN YOU PRESS THE GAS AGAIN THE CAR JUMPS INTO GEAR CAUSING THE STEERING WHEEL TO JERK EITHER LEFT OR RIGHT. IT EITHER REVS TOO HIGH OR IT FEELS LIKE IT DOWNSHIFTS. THIS LAST TIME, 9/8/20, I JUST REVERSED OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY ONTO MY RESIDENTIAL STREET, GOING ABOUT 18 MPH WHEN THE CAR WOULD NOT SHIFT INTO 2ND GEAR. AT WHICH TIME STABIATRAK AND TRANSMISSION LIGHTS CAME ON SAYING TO PULL OVER IMMEDIATELY.WE DID SO CALLED GM ONSTAR WHERE THEY TOLD US WE WOULD EXPERIENCE A LOSS IN POWER BUT COULD TRAVEL ONWARD. I DOCUMENTED THE FINDINGS WENT HOME AND A LATER ON 11/23/18 THE PROBLEM OCCURRED AT ABOUT 130 MILES FROM THE FIRST INCIDENT. THIS TIME IT HAPPENED GOING UP A HILL AND GIVING THE CAR GAS DID NOTHING TO GET ME UP THE VERY SMALL GRADE. I HAD TO PUT IT IN REVERSE AND GET A RUNNING START AT THE HILL IN ORDER TO MAKE IT HOME. My check engine light comes on intermittently, since March 2024, after having Cabin & Engine air filters replaced. Each time, I’m told it is code P0171. This has happened too many times for my comfort. Usually, it happens around the time my gas gets below 1/2 tank or after I fill up my gas tank. Originally, I was told by the mechanic that it could be one of four things, of which I’ve now had some of things done. InIn Aug. 2024, the check engine light came in. Code was P0171. Mechanic replaced the Brake vacuum pump. Once incident, almost a month later, on 9/24/24, was very scary. While driving on the interstate, I got ready to increase my speed, but heard a pop sound and noticed the speed wouldn’t accelerate. Next, the check engine light came on and the message in the dash popped up saying “engine power reduced” or something similar. I was able to coast from the fast lane over to the slower lane and off the highway into a parking lot. I turned the truck off. When I crunk it back up an hour later, it was shaking and jerking. While slowly driving, on the way to the mechanic shop, it jerked and shook each time I tried to accelerate after stopping at a light or slowing down with traffic. The code again was P0171. According to the mechanic, the intake hose had popped off. On 11/13/24, the check engine light came on. I again took it to have the code scanned and truck looked at. Test results again showed P0171. This time the Mass Air Flow Sensor was suggested. In a year I’ve had the fuel system cleaned twice, brake system flushed, & other routine maintenance such as oil change & brakes. Yet, my check engine light seems to still come on intermittently atleast once monthly. It came on two days ago, 2/18/25, when my gas was around 1/4 tank full. I added a fuel system injector, per mechanic suggestion, and filled my tank up with gas on today, 2/20/25. The check engine light had gone off within about 15 mins of me driving. I’m certain it will be back on soon with the same code.

The strike plate on my rear driver door fell off. The plate and bolts are in perfect condition but the backing is gone. Multiple body shops have attempted to locate the backing, which is somewhere between the interior and exterior metal body pieces, and gave been unable to. Every body shop I've taken it to also says that they have never seen anything like this happen before. They are reluctant to fix it because that would mean cutting through the body to replace the backing for the strike plate then welding, sanding, and painting in the area they cut and they worry about the integrity of the striker and functionality of it as well, as they've never had to do a repair like this before. One of the body shops was also a certified GM repair shop at the dealership from which the car was purchased and even they have said the same as the others. They also encouraged me to report this to the NHTSA and GM as well because they've never seen it happen or heard of it happening and they are concerned because it is a safety issue. I know that there is a similar recall on some newer GMC Terrains and wonder if my issue would be related to the recall or if it's is a separate issue all together. The striker was barely touched and someone exited my back seat and fell off into a parking lot, I was able to recover the striker and both bolts which are completely undamaged and unworn. This is my only vehicle so I now have to hold my door shut with bungee cords and tape in order to use my vehicle. I have a child who is still in a car seat and must remain in the back seat for safety but now my backseat is also not very safe because of the door. A few days prior to the striker falling off my door would not close fully flush with the rest of the vehicle but still closed, locked, and remained closed with no other issues.

Hello. As I come to a complete stop the car will go into auto-stop. After releasing the brake pedal the car will jerk forward . As I press the gas pedal the car Jerks and shakes . The rpm jumps way up and the mph say low.. there's been times I try to accelerate and the car with jerk and put itself into park.. in the middle of traffic.. heart pounding to say the lease. I also notice theres alot of black liquid dripping for the front right side under the front bumper. There were no problems with the car or lamp indicating there were before this. I went to where I brought the car and they told me my warranty expired and that I will need to pay $265 just to diagnose the issue. I didnt have that money. I do have a car code reader and I did my best to find a solution. Codes P0700, P171D, And P187D all appear on my device. I then looked up recalls and my VIN wasn't confirmed.. but I am certain it is the same issue . You do have a open recall for this very particular issue for my particular model . I love my car and GMC. Please remedy this situation and have me driving safely and free minded again and soon ! Please reach back with any feedback as soon as possible. Thanks !

The headliner fabric detached somehow from the panoramic track causing the fabric to hang down obstructing the rear and back window view causing a safety hazard. The automatic forward collision alert will come on for no reason since this has happened. The problem has not been reported to insurance or the manufacturer yet but GM is my next call. This is a safety hazard due to the obstruction of visibility to safely make turns or change lanes. This happened August 5th while driving with the windows up. It just dropped down still attached to the front of the track and the rear.

There is an has been an issue with my electrical system says I purchased this car in 2017. Myself believe that the issues have not been documented until 2020. When my racy begins to run out, my engine light has been coming on and I’ve been getting the same code P1101 I took my vehicle to GMC and they told me that the engine light came on because the tape came loose. I brought this vehicle and there’s no way there should be no tape on it. The service tech also told me that if the problem continue to bring it back and I will have to pay $120 or whatever the label rate was for them to research I contacted GMC to file a complaint and I received the whole bunch of calls from a guy named Kevin. I believe he told me that he had been contacting [XXX] and no one returned his call and that he was sorry he couldn’t help me. This is my report number one of them from GMC. [XXX]. Everywhere I take my car they tell me that they have a lot of customers with the same issue and they tried to replace what the code is matching which is the mass airflow sensor but that does not help there is some type of problem with the engine or the electrical system with this vehicle. I am not the only consumer that has had this problem. I don’t know what to do. I have two kids I cannot afford to keep pay and label rate for them not to find the problem. I am also attaching the typical email that GMC sent out when they are working with the dealerships because I have been in contact with them and the person that was calling and then they sent me this email. The contact owns a 2018 GMC Terrain. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 MPH going over a hill, the brake pedal was depressed but was firm and failed to depress as needed. The engine power reduced message was displayed and flashed on and then off. The brake assist warning light was illuminated. The service transmission message was displayed. The contact continued to depress the brake pedal until the vehicle responded as needed. The driver was able to pull into a parking lot, and the vehicle rolled to a stop. While driving, the engine misfired. Additionally, the vehicle failed to fully shutoff. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the brakes had locked up and that the vacuum pump needed to be replaced. The contact was also informed that the cam shaft had fractured inside the engine. Additionally, the fuel injector, fuel line, and fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V645000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) and 23V013000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The manufacturer was contacted, and the contact was informed that the VIN was under recall. The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

Additionally, the contact stated that the vehicle was taken to the dealer twice where it was diagnosed that the Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) needed to be unclogged. My husband and son were involved in an almost fatal accident on 07/08/23 in our 2018 Terrain. My husband described that the vehicle spontaneously veered to the right uncontrollably, he was unable to steer to correct the vehicle, unable to brake, they went airborne, hit several poles and a transformer, rolled and flipped several times. All the airbags deployed.After the accident, I found a recall notice from back in 2017, I believe, regarding the drive train. My husband was extricated from the vehicle. My son wasble to cut the seatbelt and crawl out the window. From what my husband explained (he was the driver), this sounds like what they experienced during the collision. I never received a recall letter from GM as this is something I would of taken care of and have got repaired. Please see the photos and the recall I found. Driving home from our local town 4/15/2023, the brake pedal became to hard to push down. Check engine light came on as I got to my driveway, and that is 1 mile from the main road. My kids were scared to tears as was my girlfriend. Run a scan and dtc p0557. Come to find the vacuum pump on the top drivers side of motor is the part that is bad it broke inside the valve cover. Looking up the issue and find out it is a known problem and no recall. I have kept the parts and all receipts for the repairs, I have to do myself cause the repairs are way to much for me to pay out of pocket. This is a serious issue for this car and year and GMC needs to address the issue. Why has nothing been done yet??? I am making payments on this car with no warranty for the car so I'm stuck fixing the car. But GMC knows that this is a problem and does nothing?!? I remember when American cars were good cars what happened to that time ?? And what happened to company's being responsible for the product they put out to customers? Guess that time is gone, I won't buy another American car again, unless it's a old Detroit built car.

At ignition, vehicle tire pressure monitoring system indicated low tire pressure in rear right wheel of 9psi; right front tire indicated 38psi and left front and rear indicated 38psi. Driver verified pressure as good at 38psi in rear right tire with hand held gauge. While operating the vehicle on the interstate, vehicle driver experience a flat tire in the right front passenger tire. Tire Pressure monitoring system indicated 41psi in right front tire (even while flat), and indicated right rear tire at 0psi even though it was visually inflated.

Multiple warning lights are appearing at once (Automatic brake assist, forward collision assist, parking brake released) When the car is put in reverse, the radio turns off for a brief moment and the steering assist warning shows on the dash. The steering wheel snatches back in the opposite direction causing a safety concern. The car also completely cuts off after the auto-stop takes effect at red lights causing me to have to pump the brakes at least twice to re-ignite and be able to accelerate.

The "Service Brake Assist" issue in other 2018 GMC SUVs is happening in the 2018 GMC Terrain, but it is not part of the recall. Our brakes became EXTREMELY difficult to press right as we were turning onto the on ramp of an expressway. Thankfully we were smart enough to pull over and not get on the highway. Had we done so, I may not have been here to type this complaint. The brakes be come extremely difficult to press and that message shows. Dealership is going to charge me $400 to replace a vacuum pump - they were not interested in the information I have around this issue in other GMC SUVs since it isn't a formal recall on the Terrain. I could have died yesterday due to this braking issue. I've owned this car for 3 months.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE WAS NOT ABLE TO CONTROL THE VEHICLE WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, AS A RESULT, THE CONTACT CRASHED INTO A POST. IN ADDITION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE SHIFTED INTO PARK, THE VEHICLE CONTINUE TO ROLLED. THE CONTACT ENGAGED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND THE VEHICLE CAME TO A STOP. THE CONTACT STATED THAT SHE DID NOT NOTICED ANY WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED BECAUSE THE FAILURE OCCURRED FAST. THE CONTACT DID NOT SUSTAINED INJURIES. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO DON MOORE CHEVROLET BUICK GMC, 3232 VILLA POINT, OWENSBORO, KY 42303 (270) 215-1953, BUT WAS NOT YET DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

MY CAR JUST COMPLETELY SHUT DOWN OUT OF NOWHERE. IT HAS HAPPENED TWICE WHEN I WAS SLOWING FOR TRAFFIC AND WHEN I WAS IN A PARKING LOT. THE FIRST TIME I COULDN'T GET OUT OF THE CAR BECAUSE THE DOOR WOULDN'T UNLOCK. THEN THE POWER CAME ON BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT TURN OVER. IT HAS PUSH BUTTON GEAR SHIFTS AND WOULD NOT GO INTO NEUTRAL. I HAD TO CALL THE POLICE TO ASSIST UNTIL THE CAR WAS TOWED BECAUSE I WAS ON A VERY BUSY AND DANGEROUS STREET. I HONESTLY WAS SCARED SOMEONE WAS GOING TO SLAM INTO ME. THE SECOND TIME I WAS LOOKING FOR A PARKING SPOT AND IT STOPPED. LUCKILY I ALWAYS KEEP THE DOORS UNLOCKED SINCE FIRST INCIDENT HAD TO BE TOWED BOTH TIMES. AS OF TODAY IT IS STILL AT THE DEALER TRYING TO BE FIXED FOR A SECOND TIME. THEY 'THOUGHT' THEY FIXED IT THE FIRST TIME BUT IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE DEALER HAS HAD MY CAR SINCE OCTOBER 17. THEY CLAIM THEY KNOW WHAT IT IS. THEY REPLACE SOME ENGINE MODULE AND ARE NOW WAITING ON A PUSH BUTTON FOR THE GEAR SHIFT.

THE VEHICLE WAS IN MOTION MAKING A RIGHT HAND TURN AND IN THE TURN THE OPERATOR LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE CAUSING HER TO STRIKE A CURB THEN HEAD FOR ONCOMING TRAFFIC. WHEN IT WAS ALL SAID AND DONE IT LOOKED LIKE THE BALL JOINT HAD FAILED CAUSING THE LOSS OF CONTROL. A BYSTANDER SAID HE HEARD A LOUD POP AND LOOKED UP AND WITNESSED THE VEHICLE SLIDE INTO THE CURB AND THEN SEE THE FRONT LEFT TIRE LOCK UP AND THE VEHICLE COME TO A STOP.

WHILE DRIVING ON A SNOW- COVERED ROAD WITH ANY AMOUNT OF SNOW, THE SNOW GETS PACKED INSIDE OF THE WHEELS AND THROWS THE WHEEL BALANCE OFF CAUSING THE STEERING WHEEL TO SHIMMY BADLY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. I HAVE TO REMOVE THE SNOW PACK EVVERY DAY, AND I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS AN AERODYNAMIC DESIGN FLAW WITH THE WHEELS WHERE THE SNOW DOESN'T GET BLOWN OUT OF THE WHEEL WHILE THE CAR IS IN MOTION.

CONTINUE TO EXPERIENCE USB NOT PRODUCING ENOUGH POWER TO MY PHONE TO RUN WAZE FROM THE USB PORT UNDER THE RADIO. PHONE CALLS WILL FADE IN AND OUT BETWEEN THE RADIO AND THE PHONE CALL...BEING CONNECTED VIA BLUETOOTH TO THE TRUCK. CONTINUE NOT BEING ABLE TO ANSWER THE CALLS VIA BLUETOOTH. TRUCK HAS BEEN INTO 2 DIFFERENT DEALERSHIPS....BOTH HAVE "RESET" THE SYSTEM...BUT IT CONTINUES TO DO THE SAME THINGS...OR SOMETHING NEW EVERY WEEK. MY VEHICLE HAS BEEN MAKING A NOISE EVERY SINCE THE DAY OF PURCHASE. IT STARTED AS A VAGUE SOUND AND HAS SINCE GOTTEN WORSE. THE NOISE IS COMING FROM THE REAR EXHAUST. AT CERTAIN SPEEDS OF TRAVEL THE NOISE GETS WORSE. I HAVE DONE A VISIBILITY CHECK OF THE REAR EXHAUST PIPE AND NOTICED THE ASSEMBLED EXHAUST WHERE IT WAS WELDED IS LOOSE AND SHAKING. I'M NOT FOR SURE IF THIS IS WHERE THE NOISE IS COMING FROM BUT IT COULD USE SOME INVESTIGATION. I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE WITH NO MILEAGE ABOUT 5 MONTHS AGO FROM HENNESSY GMC IN MORROW GEORGIA.

ITS BRIGHT LIGHT IS BEING REFLECTED BY THE WINDOWS BACK INTO THE CAR, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SEE OUT THE WINDOWS OF THE VEHICLE. WHILE OTHER CAR FUNCTIONS - RADIO, PHONE, AND NAVIGATION - WHICH ALL USE THE SAME DISPLAY SCREEN AS THE BACKUP CAMERA, DIM THEMSELVES FOR NIGHT USE, THE REAR VIEW CAMERA DISPLAY IS AS BRIGHT AT NIGHT AS IT IS DURING THE DAY, CAUSING THIS ISSUE. FIRST ISSUE WITH THE VEHICLE WAS A SEPARATION OF THE DASH NEAR AND AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. UNKNOWN AT THIS TIME IF THE AIRBAG HAS BEEN COMPROMISED. I WON'T KNOW UNTIL THE VEHICLE WOULD BE INVOLVED IN AN ACCIDENT. THE SECOND ISSUE INVOLVES THE VEHICLE WHILE IN PARK. I AM ABLE TO PUSH THE VEHICLE AND IT WILL ACTUALLY MOVE FORWARD. THERE IS ALSO A VERY HARD SHIFT WHILE THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION. THIS OCCURS USUALLY BETWEEN 2K AND 3 K RPMS. THE VEHICLE WILL ACTUALLY JERK AS IT IS TRYING TO SHIFT.
