The contact owned a 2008 GMC Yukon XL. The contact stated while driving at an intersection, another vehicle unexpectedly cut into the middle lane. As a result, the contact crashed into the passenger side of the vehicle. The air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The contact sustained hematomas on his knee and hip while the passenger sustained a busted knee. Medical treatment was required. The vehicle was not drivable and was towed to an impound lot. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure and the contact filed a complaint. The contact was relating the failure to NHTSA campaign number: 21V050000 (Air bags). The failure mileage was 227,000.

OUR 2008 GMC YUKON WITH TAKATA AIRBAGS HAS BEEN UNDER RECALL FOR MANY YEARS NOW, AND STILL HAS NOT BE RESOLVED. IT SEEMS THAT TAKATA AND GMC HAVE IGNORED THE IMPORTANCE OF REPLACING THE AIRBAGS. IT IS SHOCKING THAT OUR GOVERNMENT HAS NOT FORCED THEM TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE FOR ALL THESE YEARS. WE PURCHASED OUR 2008 GMC YUKON NEW IN AUGUST, 2008. I DO NOT HAVE A PROPER DATE FOR THE DATE LISTED AS WHEN DID THIS HAPPEN LISTED BELOW, SO JUST PUT AUGUST 1, 2008 SO THAT I COULD GET ON TO THE NEXT PAGE, IT WOULD NOT ALLOW ME TO LEAVE THAT FIELD BLANK.

WE HAVE BEEN WAITING OVER 3 YEARS FOR THIS MATTER TO BE PUT IN TO AN ACTION PLAN. WE DRIVE THE NOTED 2008 YUKON DENALI DAILY TO AND FROM WORK AS WELL AS TAKE OUR PASSENGERS TO SCHOOL. WE ARE THE ORIGINAL OWNERS OF THE VEHICLE AND WISH TO REQUEST THAT THE AIR BAG NOTED BE SCHEDULED FOR REPLACEMENT. WE ARE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THE NOTED ISSUES THAT IT MAY CAUSE AND FEEL THAT WE HAVE BEEN P PUT IN HARMS WAY VIA THE KNOWLEDGE AND DECISON TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE AIR BAG. PLEASE ADVISE WHEN WE WILL BE ABLE TO RECEIVE THE NEW PRODUCT SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION. TK HOLDINGS INC. ('TAKATA') HAS DECIDED THAT A DEFECT WHICH RELATES TO MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY EXISTS IN THE PASSENGER-SIDE FRONTAL AIRBAG INFLATORS INSTALLED AS ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT IN CERTAIN 2007 TO 2014 MODEL YEAR CADILLAC ESCALADE, ESCALADE ESV, AND ESCALADE EXT VEHICLES; CERTAIN CHEVROLET AVALANCHE, SILVERADO 1500, SILVERADO 2500/3500, SUBURBAN, AND TAHOE VEHICLES; AND CERTAIN GMC SIERRA 1500, SIERRA 2500/3500, YUKON, AND YUKON XL VEHICLES. THE DETERMINATION WAS MADE THAT THE PROPELLANT IN THESE INFLATORS MAY DEGRADE AFTER LONG-TERM EXPOSURE TO HIGH HUMIDITY AND TEMPERATURE CYCLING, WHICH COULD CAUSE THE INFLATOR TO RUPTURE DURING A DEPLOYMENT. SAFETY RISK AN INflATOR RUPTURE MAY CAUSE METAL FRAGMENTS TO PASS THROUGH THE AIRBAG AND INTO THE VEHICLE INTERIOR AT HIGH SPEED, WHICH MAY RESULT IN INJURY OR DEATH TO VEHICLE OCCUPANTS.

THE HATCH DOOR WILL NOT STAY OPEN IN COLD WEATHER. EVEN AT A TEMPERATURE IN THE 60'S, IT OPENS AND THEN CLOSES AND IS VERY FORCEFULLY, EVEN KNOCKED ME IN THE HEAD AND KEPT SHUTTING. IT IS ALWAYS STATIONARY AND ONLY IN COOLER WEATHER, ALL OTHER TIMES IT WORKS CORRECTLY.

I HAVE AN 2008 YUKON WITH A CRACKED DASH BOARD IN MANY DEFERENTS PARTS. THE CRACKS ARE SO BAD THAT WHILE DRIVING EVERYTHING SHAKES AND MAKE ALL RADDLING NOISES. THE SECTION AROUND THE AIR BAG MAKES LOTS OF NOISE. THE CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT. JUST BOUGH THE CAR ABOUT A YEAR AGO AND IT WAS CRACKED THEN.

THE VEHICLE SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING, SHUT DOWN WHILE IT WAS BEING DRIVEN DOWN THE ROAD. DASHBOARD WAS OFF AND IT COASTED TO A STOP. FORTUNATELY IT WAS ON A CITY ROAD WITH VERY LITTLE TRAFFIC (BUT THIS VEHICLE IS DRIVEN ON THE HIGHWAY FREQUENTLY). ONCE IT WAS PUT IN PARK, THE KEY WAS TURNED, IT IMMEDIATELY STARTED AGAIN AND RAN PERFECTLY.

THERE ARE 3 MAJOR CRACKS ON MY DASHBOARD, TWO OF WHICH EMINATE FROM THE PASSENGER AIRBAG OPENING. I SEE WHERE THERE ARE LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS. THE DASH BOARD NOW MOVES UP AND DOWN AND RATTLES. THIS IS DEFINITELY A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT WHICH MUST BE ADDRESSED BY MANUFACTURER THROUGH A RECALL. THE CRACKS JUST APPEAR OUT OF NOWHERE. I TAKE EXCEEDINGLY GOOD CARE OF CAR BUT REPLACING AN ENTIRE DASHBOARD BECAUSE OF POOR DESIGN SHOULD BE COVERED BY MANUFACTURER. THANK YOU.

Dashboard is severely cracked & rattles so badly that it interferes with hearing outside & inside noises & communication. Has gotten worse over past year. Dealer confirmed that the problem was prevalent among several GM models, including my model. I was also told that a class action suit was filed against GMC for this problem, but was dismissed by judicial system.

VEHICLE UNEXPECTEDLY CAUGHT FIRE IN THE FRONT PASSENGERS SIDE. THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN PARKED FOR SEVERAL HOURS AT THE TIME OF THE FIRE. FIRE INVESTIGATORS BELIEVE THE FIRE WAS ELECTRICAL AND PAID SUBSTANTIAL ATTENTION TO THE FRONT PASSENGERS SIDE DASH AREA ON BOTH THE INBOARD AND ENGINE COMPARTMENT SIDES OF THE DASH. THIS IS CONSISTENT WITH PAST REPORTS OF FIRES STARTING DUE TO THE HEATED WASHER FLUID SYSTEM WHICH THIS VEHICLE HAD. THERE WAS NO ACTIVE RECALLS ON THIS CAR.

THEN IN MAY 2012, THE REAR LEFT PASSENGER DOOR LOCK/ACTUATOR WAS REPLACED. IN AUGUST 2012, THE DOOR LOCK ON THE FRONT PASSENGER SIDE HAD TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE HAD REPEATED FAILURES OF ALL THE DOOR LOCKS IN MY YUKON. THEY WILL ONLY WORK MANUALLY NOT WITH THE AUTO LOCK FEATURE. SAFETY IS A CONCERN AS YOU NEED TO REMEMBER TO LOCK THE DOOR MANUALLY AND THEN UNLOCK IT MANUALLY TO GET IN THE CAR. THE AUTO DOOR LOCK FEATURE (LOCKING AT 5 MPH OR ABOVE) ALSO DOES NOT WORK INVITING A CAR JACKING INCIDENT. I HAVE HAD 3 REPLACED UNDER WARRANTY AND NOW A 4TH DOOR IS AFFECTED. *JS

WAS ABLE TO WORK WITH THE MANUAL LOCK ON THE DOOR FROM THE INSIDE TO FREE THE DOOR. ONCE FREED, THE DOOR FAILED TO RETURN TO THE CLOSED POSITION AND REMAINED STUCK UNTIL THE KEY FOB WAS PUSHED. REPEATED THE LOCK WITH THE KEY FOB, DOOR STILL WILL NOT ACTUATE TO THE OPEN POSITION. CHILD CAN UNLOCK AS THIS BYPASSES THE CHILD LOCKS ON THAT DOOR. CHILD COULD ALSO GET TRAPPED IN THE CAR-COULD NOT BE UNLOCKED WITHOUT MANUAL AGITATION OF THE INTERNAL LOCKS. INTERNET IS FULL OF HIS SAME ISSUE ON THE SAME MODEL VEHICLE. 2008 GMC YUKON XL - 5 DOOR LOCK ACTUATOR FAILURES. ALL FOUR DOOR LOCKS HAVE FAILED AND NOW THE REAR PASSENGER LOCK ACTUATOR HAS FAILED FOR THE SECOND TIME. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY ISSUE AS YOU EITHER HAVE TO DRIVE WITH THE DOOR UNLOCKED OR IF LOCKED YOU RISK NOT BEING ABLE TO GET A CHILD OUT QUICKLY IF NECESSARY. ON 06/07/2019 I PURCHASED MY 2008 GMC YUKON SLT IN A PRIVATE SALE WITH 43K MILES ON IT HARDLY DRIVEN, A WELL TAKEN CARE OF SUV NO CRACKS IN THE DASH NOW A MONTH AND 1000 MILES LATER I AM DRIVING AND NOTICE IT HAS A CRACK IN THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF THE DASH 4" LONG NEAR THE SEAM IN FRONT OF THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER, AND A CRACK IN THE PASSENGER'S SIDE OF THE DASH 2" LONG AT THE CORNER OF THE AIRBAG. I IMMEDIATELY SAW THIS AS A SAFETY ISSUE. THE TAKATA AIR BAG INFLATORS ARE UNDER RECALL WITH A STATUS OF REMEDY NOT YET AVAILABLE ACCORDING TO THE CARFAX I RAN AND AT SAFERCAR.GOV MAKING THE DASH A TICKING TIME BOMB WITH SHRAPNEL AS A BONUS TO POSSIBLY INJURE OR KILL MYSELF OR MY WIFE IN THE EVENT THE AIR BAGS DEPLOY THE DEALERSHIP QUOTED A RIDICULOUS REPAIR PRICE AND ADMITTED THAT A CRACKED DASHES ARE AN ISSUE WITH THE YUKON. DASHBOARD HAS CRACKED ABOVE THE DRIVERS INSTRUMENT DISPLAY, AROUND SPEAKER AND NOW HAS CRACKED AROUND THE PASSENGER SIDE AIR BAG WITH THE DASHBOARD BEING LOOSE. WE HAVE 3 GM SUBURBAN AND GMC YUKONS THAT ALL HAVE CRACKED DASHES. I FIND IT HARD TO BELIEVE THAT ALL 3 OF OURS HAVE CRACKED DASHES. TAKATA RECALL, FRONT PASSENGER AIRBAG INFLATORS ARE DEFECTIVE. THE INFLATOR CAN DEGRADE OVER TIME , ESPECIALLY AFTER LONG TERM EXPOSURE IN HOT AND HUMID REGIONS. PLUS MY DASH IS CRACKING. THE DASH HAS CRACKED SO MUCH THAT THE AIR BAG ARES IS PUSHED UP.

The contact owns a 2008 GMC Yukon Denali equipped with Vogue Tires, Tire Line: Custom Built Radial, Tire Size: 305/35/R24, DOT number: 53B3C055020. The contact stated that the front driver's side tire exhibited a crack on the side wall. The contact stated that on various occasions, the tire pressure was low and required adding air frequently to the tire. Additionally, the contact then stated that all four tires exhibited cracks on the sidewall, causing him to inflate the tires daily. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who confirmed there were no nails in the tires. The tires were not replaced. The tires were replacement tires. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The VIN was not available. The vehicle and tire failure mileages were unknown.

Driving north on I-94, leaving the city of Chicago, the rear driver side tire (Bridestone Dueler P285/45R22) blew and the outer side wall seem to have a defect (weak side wall). This should never happen in a passenger car and the manufacturer should have better QUALITY CONTROL and prevent these defects from leaving the plants. I have a MS in Mechanical Engineering and have knowledge of the tire designs, as we did research for Firestone in the 1980's at my university, and this is definitely a defect within a weak part of the fabric in the sidewall. If you would like the tire for your investigation, please let me know ASAP. Other industries like the Medical and Pharma areas would not allow this kind of thing to happen and passenger vehicles with defective parts or components should never jeopardize any passenger to be in this kind of situation. Luckily, it was very early in the morning, with very light traffic, and no one in my car or any of the cars around me got hurt, as I was able to maneuver to the right side of the highway.

MY TRUCK ACCELERATES AND ABRUPTLY STOPS WHILE SLOWING DOWN UNDER 20 MPH. UNDER 20 MPH THE ENGINE IS SUPPOSE TO SWITCH OVER TO CONNECT TO HYBRID BATTERY SYSTEM. SOMETIMES THE VEHICLE ABRUPTLY STOPS WHILE TURNING OR SOMETIMES THE CAR CUTS ALL THE WAY OFF. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN 2010 AND I HAVE REPORTED THIS PROBLEM SINCE 2013. OVERTIME I TOOK THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY WOULD TELL ME THAT THEY COULDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. I RECENTLY HAD MAJOR ENGINE PROBLEMS INVOLVING THE LIFTERS ACCORDING TO THEIR DIAGNOSTIC MACHINE. THE COST WAS 6000 TO REPAIR. AFTER REPAIRING THE LIFTERS THE CAR STILL HAS THE SPONTANEOUS ACCELERATING AND STOPPING ISSUES.WE WERE TOLD BY THE SERVICE MANAGER AT CHEVROLET THAT WE SHOULD "JUST DUMP THE VEHICLE AND THEY HAD A HYBRID IN THE BACK THEY HAD OVER A MONTH AND THEY CAN'T FIGURE OUT WHATS WRONG WITH IT". I PAID OVER 38,000 FOR THIS TRUCK AT THEIR DEALER SHIP. IVE INVESTED THOUSANDS IN REPAIR COSTS. I WON'T SELL IT BECAUSE I KNOW IT HAS SAFETY HAZARDS. THE VEHICLE HAS HAD MULTIPLE FAILURES OF DOOR LOCKING MECHANISMS. MOST RECENT FAILURE HAS AFFECTED THE REAR PASSENGER DOORS WHICH ARE NOT KEYED FROM THE OUTSIDE, SO ONLY WAY TO UNLOCK IS TO CRAWL OVER SEATS TO UNLOCK. THIS IS A SIGNIFICANT SAFETY CONCERN SINCE WE HAVE HAD SMALL CHILDREN IN THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE THAT CAN NOT EXIT THEIR SEATS ON THEIR OWN. THIS COULD INCREASE THE CHANGE OF BODILY INJURY IN AN ACCIDENT AND RESULT IN EXTRA TIME NEEDED TO EXTRICATE PEOPLE FROM THE VEHICLE. I purchased a MagnaFlow aftermarket catalytic converter system for my 2008 GMC Yukon SLT 5.3L through Walmart’s online marketplace, sold by a third-party vendor called OurDealsRock. The product was advertised as “50-state legal” and compatible with vehicles registered in New York State. However, shortly after installation, my check engine light turned on, and diagnostic codes P0420 and P0430 (Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold) appeared. Initially, I thought this was a minor sensor issue, but over time, the vehicle’s performance gradually deteriorated. I noticed reduced acceleration, poor fuel economy, and eventually significant loss of power. The vehicle began shaking under load, misfiring, and overheating. These symptoms worsened steadily—not immediately—but progressively after continued driving with the aftermarket converter installed. I had the vehicle inspected by a certified mechanic, who confirmed that the MagnaFlow converter was not CARB-compliant, was not approved for use in New York, and that it had been illegally marketed as such. He also informed me that prolonged use of a non-compliant, malfunctioning converter caused excessive backpressure, leading to complete engine failure over time. The diagnosis was confirmed by a second mechanic before I committed to the engine replacement. The product was later removed from Walmart’s site, becoming unavailable for sale in my zip code [XXX] ) shortly after my initial complaint. This shows clear acknowledgment that it should never have been sold to a New York consumer in the first place. But by the time it was taken down, the damage had already been done. It started shutting off at a light for autostop.but when it would turn green it would intermittently just drop out of autostop without restarting. Then may start back up or maybe not, many time after restarting at the light it would died in the middle of the inspection. A parasitic draw kept killing the accessory 12 V battery replaced the 12 V battery but the problem continued. When the truck was running it would run flawlessly,before stalling. The code said to replace the auxiliary fluid pump. I had it a new auxiliary fluid pump installed. After this the vehicle wouldnt crank. They then worked through a service bulliten fixing a list of areas were the harness was chaffed and shorted. The truck has been out of commission the past 10 months and intermittently started twice during this time, it ran rough for 5 mins and died out at the first stop sign and wont crank again. Some times it will crank but not start.

MY VEHICLE EXPERIENCED AN ELECTRICAL SHORT IN THE FUEL PUMP FLOW CONTROL MODULE, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL WHILE I WAS TRAVELING AROUND 70 MPH ON THE FREEWAY. I LOST ENGINE POWER, POWER BRAKING, AND POWER STEERING. I NEARLY HAD AN ACCIDENT WHEN PULLING OFF TO THE SHOULDER AND BRAKING. I AM AWARE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL OF THE PART THAT FAILED IN GM BULLETIN 14515B. GM HOWEVER INFORMED ME THAT MY VIN WAS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. THE DEFECT IN MY FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE HAS BEEN CONFIRMED BY MY GMC AUTHORIZED SERVICE CENTER. I AM LOOKING FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF THE $550 DOLLARS I PAID TO SEWELL SERVICE TO REPLACE THIS COMPONENT AS IT SURELY SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED IN THE RECALL.

When beginning to drive forward after coming to a stop at an intersection. The vehicle will often stall in the middle of the intersection. Requiring me to switch it transmission into natural and restart it as it’s rolling. I almost gotten rear ended many times I always get honked at. It just a matter of time before it causes an accident. It sometime happens after turning as well. I looked at forums on this gmc Yukon hybrid. And it looks like many other owners are asking the same question and nobody is coming up with any answers. Other customers say the dealer told them the hesitation is Normal. I took my truck into a local repair shop and he called me after three weeks saying it was done, but it still had the check engine light on and still is stalling out in intersections. Charge me $2000. I BOUGHT THIS SUV FROM LEGENDS AUTO SALE. AFTER I BOUGHT IT, I NOTICE THE ENGINE BAY WAS REAL RUSTY LIKE ITS BEEN IN WATER OR DRIVEN OVER LOTS OF WATER. I DIDNT GET A CAR FAX AT TIME OF PURCHASES BUT DID CAR FAX MYSELF , AND IT APPEARED THAT VEHICLE IS FROM NEW ORLEANS. WITH ALL THE DIRT AND GRIM COMING OUT OF VEHICLE ITS DIFFENTLY FROM NEW ORLEANS. SO FAR I REPLACED NEW PADS AND ROTORS, MASTER CYLINDER, BRAKE SWITCH, NEW SPARK PLUGS AND WIRES. THE PROBLEM OCCURRING NOW IS THAT MY TRAC LIGHT AND ABS LIGHT WILL COME ON AFTER HALF HOUR OF DRIVING AND CAR SEIZES UP AND I'M UNABLE TO ACCELERATE. I WOULD HAVE TO SHUT OFF ENGINE AND LET REST FOR HALF HOUR TO AN HOUR BEFORE LIGHTS GOES AWAY AND I'M ABLE TO MOVE AGAIN. I'M NOT SURE BUT IT MIGHT BE DUE TO IT BEING IN THE FLOOD THUS CAUSING CORROSION AND RUSTING IN ALL PARTS OF VEHICLE. CPSC:I HAVE A 2008 GMC YUKON DENALI WITH 80K MILES. ALL 4 EXTERIOR DOOR HANDLES ARE BROKEN BECAUSE OF A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT WHICH HAS BEEN RECALLED IN PREVIOUS YEARS. THE DOORS WILL CLOSE AND LOCK THE PASSENGERS IN THE CAR ON OCCASION AND COULD CAUSE A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD IN AN EMERGENCY. I'M DRIVING AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE STABILITY AND TRACTION CONTROLS LIGHTS START FLASHING, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND IT GOES INTO 1ST GEAR AND WON'T SHIFT OUT. IT TAKES ABOUT 15 SECONDS TO GO FROM DRIVING 60 MILES AND AIR DOWN TO 10. GMC HAD IT A TOTAL OF 7 WEEKS IN THE WINTER OF 2015/2016 AND COULDN'T FIND THE PROBLEM. DOING IT AGAIN NOW7/7/2016. TOOK IT TO ANOTHER DEALER. THEY THINK IT'S A WIRING PROBLEM BUT CAN'T FIND IT EITHER. TOLD ME WOULD JUST HAVE TO DRIVE IT TILL IT GETS WORSE. SOMETIMES WHEN I COME TO A STOP MY VEHICLE GOES INTO THE AUTOSTOP MODE, BUT WHEN I GO TO ACCELERATE IT JUST DIES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE INTERSECTION WITH THE GAS ENGINE NOT ENGAGING AND THE ELECTRIC MODE NOT MOVING THE VEHICLE THEN IT JERKS REALLY HARD. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND STAYS ON FOR ABOUT A DAY AND THEN GOES OFF ON IT'S OWN. I HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO MULITPLE GMC DEALERSHIPS NUMEROUS TIMES AND PAIDED OUT FOR REPAIRS THAT DID NOT SOLVE THE PROBLEM. THE DEALERSHIP CLAIMS TO NOT BE ABLE TO FIND ANY CODES EVEN WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. I HAVE BEEN CLOSE TO BEING HIT FROM THE BACK ON AT LEAST 3 OCCASIONS BECAUSE THE VEHICLE INITIALLY MOVES SLOWLY BEFORE JERKING AND STALLING AND ALMOST BROAD SIDED ON MORE THAN 3 OCCASIONS WHEN PULLING OUT OF A STOP SIGN INTO TRAFFIC. I AM AWARE OTHERS ARE EXPERIENCING SIMILAR PROBLEMS CAN WE GET HELP BECAUSE OBVIOUSLY THE DEALERSHIP ISN'T CONCERNED WITH OUR SAFETY. NOVEMBER 13, I WENT OUT TO START MY 2008 YUKON AND THE LIGHTS, DOOR LOCKS, AND CD PLAYER BEGAN TO FLICKER AND THEN SHUT OFF. THE GAUGES ALSO BEGAN TO FLICKER ERRATICALLY, THEN THE CAR WOULD NOT START. LATER IN THE AFTERNOON, MY HUSBAND AND I PUSHED THE CAR OUT OF THE GARAGE AND WHEN THE YUKON WENT OVER THE LIP OF THE GARAGE INTO THE DRIVEWAY, THE BUMP CAUSED ALL THE LIGHTS, RADIO, AND BACK DLOOR LATCH TO COME ON OR BEGIN WORKING. THIS OCCURRED SEVERAL OTHER TIMES OVER SEVERAL WEEKS AND INCLUDED THE REAR DOOR NOT WORKING OR THE POWERLOCKS NOT WORKING WITH THE REMOTE. WE TOOK IT TO DRIVER'S AUTOMOTIVE IN THE WOODLANDS, TEXAS, AND HAD THEM RUN A DIAGNOSTIC ON THE VEHICLE. THE AUTO REPAIRMAN CHECKED THE BATTERY AND CABLES AND SAID NOTHING SHOWS UP IN THE DIAGNOSTIC BUT EVENTUALLY THEY DID REPLACE THE CBM. WE PAID $ 718.00 TO REPLACE THE CBM, TRUSTING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE STARTED UP FINE FOR SEVERAL WEEKS AFTER THAT BUT SINCE DECEMBER 21, THE YUKON HAS DUPLICATED THE ERRATIC LIGHT FLICKERING, RADIO AND IGNITION NOT WORKING, THE REAR DOOR NOT OPENING (USING THE CAR REMOTE AS WELL AS THE POWER BUTTON ON FRONT CONSOLE INSIDE VEHICLE). IN ADDITION, THE DOORS WON'T LOCK AND THE GAUGES FLICKER UNCONTROLLABLY AND THE VEHICLE WON'T START. WE ARE VERY CONCERNED. THIS IS IN REGARDS TO GMC BULLETIN #PIP4112J : SAG OR HESITATION ON ACCELERATION (NORMAL OPERATION CHARACTERISTICS) - (JUL 21, 2011). I'VE BEEN HAVING THIS PROBLEM SINCE DAY ONE AND TOOK THE SUV TO MANY DEALERS BUT DEALERS COULD NOT VERIFY THE CONCERN UNTIL NOW. THE 2008 GMC YUKON XL DENALI WOULD STOP ACCELERATING FOR 2-3 SECONDS WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS PRESSED. MOST OF THE TIME IT IS WHEN I AM TRYING TO PASS A LANE, TRYING TO ENTER HIGHWAY, TRYING TO CLIMB A MILD HILL OR TRYING TO AVOID A POTENTIAL ACCIDENT. AFTER THE DELAY, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD DOWN SHIFT AND I THINK IT DOWN SHIFTS TO EITHER 1ST OR 2ND GEAR CAUSING THE SUV TO ROAR LIKE CRAZY AND SHOOTS OUT LIKE A CANNON. I HAD AN INCIDENT WHERE THE COPS GAVE ME A WARNING WITH THE LIGHTS AND SIREN PROBABLY THINKING THAT I WAS DRIVING RECKLESSLY. I HAD TO RELEASE THE PEDAL AND SLAM ON THE BRAKES ANEW TO GET THE VEHICLE TO STOP BEFORE SLAMMING IN TO THE TRAFFIC IN FRONT OF ME. ON ALL 4 OCCASIONS, THE 2008 YUKON HYBRID, LUNGES FORWARD AT LOW SPEEDS, LOOSES BRAKES, POWER STEERING AND ALL POWER. EVERY TIME IT HAS TO BE TOWED TO THE DEALER. THIS HAS HAPPENED 4 TIMES SINCE AUGUST 2008. THE FIRST TIME THERE WAS A FIRE IN THE FUSE BOX, THEN WHILE THE DEALER HAD THE VEHICLE, IT CAUGHT ON FIRE AGAIN. THE DEALER KEEPS TELLING ME THAT IT IS FIXED AND SAFE TO DRIVE. THE YUKON IS BACK AT THE DEALER AND I AM NOT TAKING IT BACK. THIS VEHICLE IS VERY DANGEROUS AND THE GOVERNMENT NEEDS TO LOOK INTO THIS RIGHT AWAY. I NOW HAVE AN ATTORNEY AND WE ARE CONTACTING GM AS WELL. *TR

THE CAR WAS PARKED IN LINE AT MY KID'S SCHOOL, WAITING TO PICK HIM UP. THE CAR ENGINE WAS TURNED OFF. WHEN THE CAR WAS TURNED ON, WARNING LIGHTS FOR TRACTION CONTROL, BRAKES AND STABILITRAK CAME ON. AFTER MOVING SLIGHTLY FORWARD, THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP DESPITE FLOORING THE BRAKE. LUCKILY A SPEED BUMP STOPPED THE CAR. WE LEFT THE CAR WHERE IT WAS AND WE TRIED AGAIN THE FOLLOWING DAY. THE SAME LIGHTS CAME ON AND THE BRAKES STILL COMPLETELY UNRESPONSIVE, THE CAR COASTED TO A STOP. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. *TR
