I am the owner of a 2024 Honda Prologue Touring Sport Utility FWD 2WD. I am reporting a defect involving a clicking/ratcheting noise originating from the front CV joint/drive axle when turning the steering wheel, most notably during left turns and when the steering wheel auto-centers after a turn. The noise is consistent and reproducible. This is not an isolated issue — Honda itself acknowledged the problem in a December 19, 2025 Tech Line Summary Article applicable to all 2024–2026 Prologue vehicles, confirming a "clicking or ratcheting type noise when turning" caused by the front drive axles. Hundreds of other Prologue owners have filed identical complaints with the NHTSA. I have not yet had the vehicle repaired as replacement parts have been reported to be on extended backorder at dealerships nationwide, and multiple owners have reported the clicking returning after axle replacement, suggesting the replacement parts share the same defect. I am concerned this defect poses a safety risk, as the clicking has grown more pronounced over time and the integrity of the CV joint/axle directly affects vehicle control during turning. To whom it may concern, I am writing to formally express my profound dissatisfaction and escalating concern regarding a persistent mechanical issue with my Honda vehicle, which remains unresolved despite numerous attempts to secure a repair since its purchase in June 2024. Upon acquiring my brand-new vehicle in June 2024, I soon detected a distinctive clicking or thumping sound emanating from the steering mechanism whenever the wheel was turned. I promptly brought the vehicle to Lakeland Regal Honda's service department for diagnosis. A service technician conducted an assessment, confirming the audible anomaly, but I was subsequently informed of a parts unavailability and assured that I would be contacted once the necessary components arrived. Regrettably, no such communication was ever received. The issue persisted unabated throughout 2024, prompting a second visit to Lakeland Regal Honda. During this subsequent appointment, the service department acknowledged the ongoing problem, noting it as a prevalent concern among several customers. I was informed that the component in question, reportedly related to the axle assembly, was currently on backorder and that the dealership was awaiting a factory shipment from Honda. Once again, I was promised a follow-up, a commitment that, unfortunately, was not fulfilled. The situation has now extended to April 8, 2026, nearly two years since the initial report. Upon contacting Lakeland Regal Honda once more, I was advised that the dealership was no longer authorized to procure the necessary parts for this specific issue and that I should direct my inquiries to Honda corporate services. This directive was particularly frustrating, as I had already undertaken this action previously, only to be informed that the part remained on backorder and that I would be contacted. On April 8, 2026, I again contacted Honda corporate. A representative recorded my details and assured me the matter would be escalated to a case management .

The axle on the vehicle clicks when turning. Honda offered to replace the part and I took the vehicle in, only to be told that Honda is not fixing this part because it is a known defect with no fix. This was in December 2025. As of this date, no fix has been found. Additionally, the driver’s side window makes a ton of wind noise when driving over 30mph. Honda failed to find the cause for the issue and could not fix the car after having it for over a week in early 2025.

I need NHTSA assisting in resolving safety recall # 26V112, Instrument Panel and Rearview Camera Displays May Fail/FMVSS 101,111,305. I took my Honda Prologue vehicle to Honda dealer for the recall to be address. The dealer started the update process but failed to complete the update process and is now refusing to continue with the safety recall. The update process is to bring the vehicle operating system to the new and improved version to address failures as reported. The operating system that has the known failures is version Android 12, released in April of 2024. The new and improved operating system is version Android 14, released in May of 2025. This new and improved version were release to address the known failures. My vehicle is still operating on the same outdated operating version (Android 12) knows to have these failures. I have been in contact with Honda corporate trying to address this safety recall to no avail. I need assisting in resolving this safety recall as I do not feel safe driving my vehicle on the road. I am requesting a response regarding this matter.

When driving vehicle and making left or right turns clicking and knocking noises can be heard and felt. It is consistent with both wide and tight turns. Not intermittent. No outside factors causing noises. Concern was validated by finding Honda forums detailing other owners having the same issue. Some owners have had axle and cv joint engineering problems stated to be the case by Honda and have had replacement parts installed when they can be acquired in a timely manner. Others like myself cannot get a dealership to recognize the issue upon inspection so no action can be taken. There are no warning lights or messages displayed. Honda states publicly that this is not a safety hazard but it could result in sudden failure of those parts which would prove to be a dangerous safety hazard. Vehicle would be made available for inspection upon request. Only Honda has inspected for this issue at this time. No independent repair shop, insurance or law enforcement.

I'm afraid this may become a safety issue the more I drive the vehicle. I have not had the vehicle inspected yet at a dealer or otherwise, but I've noticed this issue reported in multiple Honda Prologue forums. I received a recall and took my car to Crown Honda in St Petersburg, Fl to have it done. I’ve been there 4 times to have it done and it failed 3 of the 4 times. The 4th time, they only did a partial update and told me it was complete and are telling me if I want more it’s going to cost me. I discovered they did not perform the Recall update. The paperwork they gave me shows it has to be a USB update. I know from my experience and my background of decades in the computer technology business, that they have minimal experience in that field. I called Honda corporate and they told me it was my problem and to go to another dealer. I’m hoping you may be able to help me out and contact them to get my updates performed. My recall shows it is a serious matter. As of this date and your records confirm, the recall is still incomplete. This is prohibiting use of features controlled by the unit including charge settings and rear camera use. Direct cause - Unknown. What I do know however was that the automatic emergency break system on my vehicle was activated, causing the vehicle to stop in the middle of driving. This resulted in the vehicle behind me hitting my car. Prior to the incident occurring, no warning indicators (lamps, messages, etc.) came from the dashboard. The vehicle just stopped. Immediately after this accident occurred. I turned off the forward collision safety feature, as I was scared of the issue (vehicle stopping) repeating itself. To date, my vehicle has not been repaired or my insurance agency contacted, as I do not believe I should be held responsible for the cost of this repair.

Automatic Emergency Braking often triggers for no reason when backing up this vehicle. This is a safety issue 1) Random stops in a parking lot are disorienting to both the driver of the car and the drivers around them 2) The AEB system creates a very hard stop. During the last incident I was with my father who had recently had neck surgery and had additional pain for about 2 days after the false AEB trigger. Thankfully, it did not trigger any long term complications.

This vehicle has automatic emergency brakes repeatedly for no reason on empty roads with nothing around the car. It emergency breaks going forward on the highway. It emergency breaks going backwards out of my driveway. It emergency breaks pulling out of drive thrus. I have nearly been hit multiple times because of this. I have been covered in scalding hot coffee because of this as the car violently brakes suddenly and for no apparent reason.This has been reported, reproduced, and confirmed by the dealer. Then they just shrugged and said Honda has not issued a fix for the issue. This is a safety issue because it has nearly caused multiple collisions on the highway and on city streets.

Forward collision warning either does not work at all or is too sensitive. When demonstrated for the dealership, the warning went off while in park for a potted plant more than 10 ft away, then did not go off again no matter how close the Prologue was moved towards an object nor what speed we were moving, until it suddenly went off as we approached a cross street, alerting to a car that was almost through the intersection before we approached it. The dealership did confirm that the system did not work on the Prologue. Then they shrugged and said that Honda had not issued a fix for the problem. This is a safety issue because it is part of the safety system and it does not work.

I got several false positives from the radar or perhaps optical system that caused the vehicle to spontaneously and suddenly brake at freeway speeds. I believe it was the optical system that was at fault due to the shifting lines on the freeway but I can't be sure. I got the radio update service bulletin work completed by the dealership and it seems to have abated. However, any 2024 prologue that has not received the update is subject to the same error. From what I understand, Honda has stopped performing the service bulletin at this time due to update failures that have "bricked" the car's software.

I took delivery of my new 2024 Honda Prologue in 2024. After driving approximately 2,000 miles, I noticed a clicking noise coming from the front axle area, especially during low-speed turns and parking maneuvers. I first brought the vehicle to AutoNation Honda in Costa Mesa, California, the dealership where I purchased it. They inspected the vehicle and reported finding no issue, so no repairs were performed. As the noise continued and worsened over the following months, I took the vehicle to Jerry Seiner Honda in San Juan Capistrano, California. Their service department diagnosed the clicking noise as originating from both front axles. Both front axles were replaced on October 28, 2025, which initially resolved the problem. However, the identical clicking noise has now returned. As of April 18, 2026, the condition is present again and requires further repair. THIS CONDITION IS NOT SAFE. The vehicle is still under lease with 19 payments remaining. This appears to be a recurring issue with the 2024 Honda Prologue. The front axles in my 2024 Honda prologue touring model four-wheel drive I have been clicking and making noises even before 1,000 miles. I have spoken to the dealer several times and Honda as well two times. I do not know if this is dangerous but it seems dangerous to me. I am used to driving older vehicles that I maintain to almost new standards. I am honestly more nervous about driving this car at highway speeds than my 2006 BMW 330 I with 155,000 mi. I have been told that there is no fix for the situation at this point. I purchased a Honda the second brand new one in one year believing this was a great company that would stand by their product. My other vehicle is a 2024 Honda CRV touring model hybrid. I completely love this vehicle. I am now believing that they are not such a great company and they have made a mistake with this vehicle. There is a loud clicking sound coming from the front axle(s) while steering around corners. It began within 30 days of taking possession of the new vehicle in mid-April 2025 and has continued to this day, April 6, 2026 with 11k mileage on the car. Furthermore it has become progressively worse, whereby early on the steering had to be near the fully clocked left or right position, now it only has to be about 30% in either direction for the clicking to be audibly and vibrationally noticeable. Two Honda dealerships near Orlando FL have been informed of the issue as well as a case opened (and closed by Honda without my consent) Honda Auto Customer Service. No action has been taken to correct it. I am consistently advised it is a "known issue" and that the vehicle is "safe to drive". Long story short, Honda is well aware of the issue, but has completely failed to apprise its customer base of any pending solution. They are content to advise us to continue to operate the Prologue and suffer the issue. I've given Honda a year to correct it. I am now concerned to operate the vehicle for fear one or more of the front half shafts is going to come apart at speed.

On April 5, 2026, I was stopped at a busy intersection waiting to turn left. When I proceeded through the light, the car's sensor suddenly went off and the car braked violently. I thought I had hit something in the road. (I was driving in one pedal mode). There was nothing in the road, and I had not collided with anything. The car just decided to brake because it incorrectly sensed something in my way. I was almost rear ended, and it was very frightening. My safety was at risk as well as the person behind me. I have an appointment with the service department at the dealership to address it. This car has been in for service 5 times in the 18 months I have leased it. I have complained to the dealer multiple times, and they have basically ignored me.

On multiple occasions the alert for either the forward or rear collision warning system will sound with nothing either in front of or behind the vehicle. In these cases, the car automatically braked and brought the car to a stop in the middle of my driving. The component is not available for inspection. This puts myself and others at risk by completely overriding my ability to control the vehicle until I am able to put the car back in gear and begin moving again. It completely immobilizes the car for several seconds. It is also a safety hazard because I have been forced to turn off the automatic braking for both the front and rear collision warning systems. This problem has not been confirmed by the dealer, nor have any of the parts been inspected by those listed above. There were no warnings or messages before the problem began.

Every day when backing out of the driveway the car activates the rear emergency breaks as it “sees” my neighbors parked truck across the seat. At no point is my car anywhere near th parked truck. Also, the emergency brake activates multiple times.

The system does not reliably "see" pedestrians or cross traffic or often times will phantom brake when there are no obstacles viewable. I believe this is a substantial safety issue because the car will abruptly stop without warning and engage a parking brake, creating a delay before being able to vacate traffic. This has happened going forward, but more frequently in reverse. This appears to happen more during inclement weather or in the dark.

1. Parking sensors will go off at the most random times. The most common is when I’m at a standstill at a traffic light and the front parking sensors will start beeping as if I am as close as possible or about to hit an o next in front of me. 2. Rear parking sensors consistently alert and beep when there is nothing behind me. For instance I was backing out of a parking spot with no cross traffic or anything behind me. As I was trying to back out it slammed the breaks and came to a sudden stop. It did this again until I pulled the car back into the parking spot and backed out again. This will also happen when I am backing the car into and out of my garage. I don’t have anything beside me or within the guide lines but it will out of nowhere come to a sudden stop and not let me back up anymore. 3. I had one instance of emergency breaking. We were coming to a stop when out of nowhere the emergency breaking stopped the vehicle. We were at a slow rate of speed at this time. Maybe 10mph when it slammed the breaks on to come to a complete stop about 10 yards behind the vehicle in front of me. It did this twice within a few second period causing a motorist behind me to almost hit me.

the automatic emergency braking system in both forward and reverse is to sensitive and violently slams the brakes when there is no risk of a collision. the most recent incident involved making a left hand turn where there was a little overpass wall on the passenger side of the street i was turning onto. with cars behind me the vehicle slammed the brakes as i was going approx 10-15MPH , startling myself and all 3 passengers and almost causing me to be rear ended. the vehicle also slams the brakes in reverse when there are no objects in the way predominately if it is raining out. it's a harsh violent stop and can cause an accident or injury. due to this incident the vehicle is back at the dealership for a total of 3 appointments and 32 days in repair for this issue and they still have not remedied the issue

While driving my 2024 Honda Prologue, the automatic emergency braking system (part of Honda's Collision Mitigation Braking System) has activated unexpectedly and forcefully multiple times — with no obstacle or vehicle ahead. The most serious incident occurred on 6/28/2024, while traveling at approximately 70 mph. The vehicle suddenly slammed on the brakes without warning or any visible threat in the road. We did not crash, but the vehicle behind us narrowly avoided rear-ending us. This also happens about 50% of the time we reverse the vehicle. Given the potential severity of this defect — especially involving passenger injuries and potential crashes — I am deeply concerned. Many other Honda owners have reported similar phantom braking behavior across multiple models, and I believe this defect needs to be investigated urgently by NHTSA. Honda has not issued a recall or provided public guidance on how to disable or address the system, leaving drivers at risk.

I have attempted to get the vehicle serviced, but the nearest dealership told me there is a wait time of over a month, so no diagnostic has yet been performed. Given the potential severity of this defect — especially involving passenger injuries and potential crashes — I am deeply concerned. Many other Honda owners have reported similar phantom braking behavior across multiple models, and I believe this defect needs to be investigated urgently by NHTSA. Honda has not issued a recall or provided public guidance on how to disable or address the system, leaving drivers at risk.

There were no other vehicles around, and we were on a straightaway. It was such an abrupt deceleration that if another vehicle had been tailgating me, they probably would have run into me.

The onboard navigation and entertainment system, including both the primary dashboard/driver interface and the center console, went fully black for over 1 minute while driving on the highway. When the screen is blank, no input is available from the vehicle as to speeds, behavior of cruise control, warning systems such as lane control, front rear and side awareness, operator awareness of speed, other vehicle warnings. Bringing to dealer today. this is the 2nd time this has occurred. The first time was in December. Vehicle was brought to dealer for software update. Update “bricked” the car, and a new radio module needed to be ordered. This took about 6 weeks. Module installed, software was updated, and this was to have addressed the issue. While records may indicate that the update was not yet performed on the vehicle, it was fully updated and the vehicle (according to the dealer) is fully up to date and the recall for it has been addressed with the software update. However, the update did not address the issue. No other inspections have occurred to date. No other symptoms or warning lights.

Leased vehicle 8/31/24, HondaLink app crashed within 45 minutes of leaving the dealership. Spent the next 3.5 months on the phone and emailing regularly with Honda for assistance, updates, or a solution, usually with limited response and no resolution. We were told by Honda to not drive the car until the issue was resolved, but they wouldn’t take it in to a shop or anything. The issue was resolved 12/13/2024 and it finally worked - and just crashed again. Unfortunately critical updates are sent through the app, so this puts us at risk if an update is available and inaccessible to us due to the app issue. The car also randomly changes settings such as lights, window locks, door locks settings, CarPlay won’t work, wireless CarPlay does not work, drops phones completely off, slams on the brakes while backing up, and recently started slamming on the brakes going forward with no hazards in sight (reported separately). These issues cause it to be unsafe to drive this vehicle.

On 04/15/2026, at approximately 13,130 miles, my 2024 Honda Prologue began making a loud, repetitive clicking, popping, and clunking noise from the front axle area. This mechanical noise is highly pronounced when turning sharply at low speeds, such as pulling out of a parking space or turning at an intersection. I took the vehicle to Delta Honda in Antioch, CA on 04/16/2026. They acknowledged the noise but refused to replace the part, citing Honda's guidance that this issue does not impact normal driving. I am filing this complaint because this is a severe safety defect. The CV joint is a critical drivetrain component, and these symptoms are classic indicators of premature mechanical failure. I am highly concerned that the CV axle could fail catastrophically while driving at higher speeds or in traffic. A structural failure of this component could result in a sudden loss of motive power, wheel lock-up, or a total loss of steering control, putting myself, my passengers, and other motorists at imminent risk of a crash. Honda's failure to provide a permanent, safe remedy for this widespread and known defect is unacceptable.

The left front CV joint or drive axel is starting to fail. There is a clicking/popping noise when accelerating from a sharp turn. The noise is getting worse as I drive the car and will probably lead to premature failure of the CV joint/drive axel which is a huge safety risk since it may cause loss of acceleration and/or loss of steering. The problem was confirmed by Sons Honda of McDonough, GA. Honda has issued a "Tech Line Summary Article" on December 19, 2025, for the problem. Here are the details: The problem affects all trims of the 2024 - 2026 Honda Prologue. SYMPTOM: Customers may complain of a clicking or ratcheting type noise when turning. DIAGNOSIS: If you verify the noise and isolate it to the drive axles, inspect for any damage and repair as necessary. If you do not find any damage, do not attempt any repairs. TEMPORARY SOLUTION: Advise the customer that the clicking noise will not impact normal driving and the symptom is currently being investigated.

Axels make a clicking noise when making a sharp turn from a stop. Axel failure can lead to catastrophic accident. Dealer inspected and confirmed noise. Dealer advised that Honda is refusing to replace the axel under warranty with the current available part. the noise is evidence of parts of the axel assembly making contact when they are not supposed to which will inevitably lead to failure which makes this a serious safety issue. Honda is supposedly aware of the issue and is working on a fix. This has been a known failure issue since the car was released. Honda has had more than enough time to fix it. It's failure to so so on such a critical part is inexcusable.

Vehicle is unable to charge. Dealer inspection confirmed damage to the charging coupler/receptacle. Charging port shows burn marks and electrical damage. Dealer recommended replacement of the drive motor battery charger receptacle. Vehicle has no diagnostic trouble codes. No accidents, no misuse, no aftermarket equipment. Failure occurred during normal home charging. Honda dealer and Honda USA denied warranty coverage. This defect prevents vehicle operation and presents potential electrical and fire safety risk.

Leased this car 1 year ago and it is currently in the repair shop for the 2nd time in a year for the same battery problem: battery won't charge and an error notice on the dashboard that says " Service high voltage system. Reduce acceleration. Drive with care". The first time the shop said that it was a software issue and fixed it. Now the shop is saying that the car needs a new battery. The error notice came up while I was on a road trip and I felt unsafe knowing that the battery could fail or combust while driving. Also, I did not feel safe having the reduced acceleration in effect while I was on the freeway where acceleration can be essential to match traffic and evade accidents.

Drove the car for less than 2 weeks on April 28,2025 a vehicle warning pop-up “ high voltage service error” I took it back to Honda dealership. A code U3620 came up. The code indicated a high voltage battery replacement needed. Currently ETA for the parts is not available.

I was driving and a warning popped up on my dashboard screen telling me that the "high voltage electrical system needed to be serviced" and another one followed that said "acceleration reduced drive with caution." At the same time my heat stopped working and only cold air would blow from the vents (it was a cold day so I did not test to see if the A/C was also broken). I discovered a day or so later, when I went to charge my car (it is an EV) that it would not allow me to charge above 26% capacity.

This occurred in winter (January) and since there is no heat all vehicle windows fog over, obscuring the view of the road and other drivers. All vehicle occupants are also at risk of exposure due to complete lack of heating in sub-freezing January temperatures.

High voltage system warning light came on dashboard, reduced acceleration occurred while driving today, 1/9/26. This is my second Vehicle Complaint form regarding High Voltage System failure. High Voltage Battery was replaced after first incident which occurred on 11/25/25, and car spent 37 days at dealership for diagnosis and high voltage battery replacement. Car is now back at dealership for diagnosis and possible 2nd high voltage battery replacement today, 1/9/26.

The dealership said they fixed it and gave it back the warning reappeared a few days later, same events we lost heat and then the warning came back on. We have it back at the dealership they still don’t know what’s wrong.

The parking collision warning will alert and emergency brake for no reason while still several feet from anything near the Prologue. This was demonstrated for and confirmed by the dealership. Then they shrugged and said that Honda has not issued a fix for the problem. This is a safety issue because the sudden emergency brake has nearly caused collisions and has covered me in scalding coffee multiple times.

When turning left or right, the vehicle produces a distinct clicking sound from the front drivetrain or steering area. This issue was first noticed on January 22, 2025 and has continued to occur since that time. I have reported the problem to the dealership on multiple occasions; however, the concern is no longer being documented on my service receipts despite my attempts to have it addressed. The persistent clicking noise raises concern about a possible defect involving the axle, CV joint, steering components, or the electric drivetrain system. If a related component were to fail while the vehicle is in motion, it could result in loss of propulsion, steering impairment, or sudden mechanical failure during a turn, increasing the risk of a crash. The dealership has indicated that the manufacturer is aware of the issue but has not yet provided a repair remedy or guidance to the service center, leaving the vehicle operating with a potentially unresolved mechanical defect.

Speed limited. - Service Stabilitrak - Auto Hold Unavailable Driving the car was very unsafe as the brakes were extremely difficult to engage, taking my full body force to fully depress the pedal and have the brakes slowly engage. I have taken the car to my Honda Dealership, which (at this time) has been unable to replicate the issue or find a problem. This is a safety issue to have unresolved, as the brakes suddenly becoming extremely difficult to work makes the car unsafe to drive.

On [XXX], I leased a Honda Prologue from Honda Carland in Roswell, GA. Within a week, the vehicle displayed multiple braking system failure warnings, including “Braking system failure,” “Service Stabilitrak,” and “Brake assist failure.” One-pedal driving also became unavailable. Upon attempting to drive, the brakes were completely unresponsive, causing the car to roll down a ramp uncontrollably before eventually stopping. Despite multiple attempts, the brakes failed entirely, making the vehicle out of my control. I immediately called Honda’s OnSite service, and the car was towed back to the dealership. The dealership initially diagnosed the issue as a loose connector that was allegedly not properly attached during assembly. They assured me the vehicle was now functioning as designed. However, about a week later, the same critical brake failure occurred again. The car would not brake, forcing me to request another tow back to Honda Carland. This time, the dealership claimed the issue was due to a faulty brake master unit, which they replaced—a far more serious defect than initially diagnosed. Given the life-threatening nature of repeated total brake failure, I refused to drive the vehicle and attempted to return it. In researching this issue, I have found similar complaints in online searches, including the NHTSA database, suggesting that this may be a much broader issue affecting Honda Prologue vehicles manufactured in 2024. This is not a minor issue—it is a safety hazard that puts my life and the lives of others at risk. I am not willing to drive this defective vehicle, and I urge the NHTSA to investigate this matter immediately to ensure that no other driver is put in danger due to brake system defects in the Honda Prologue. Took delivery of vehicle 11/19/24. Had the vehicle 10 days. Let another vehicle out of the driveway & upon pulling back in got "brake system failure" alert and the car would not stop rolling not matter how hard I hit the brake. I had to push the brake button. The "one pedal driving unavailable" alert also came on. Towed to dealership same day(11/29/24). They tell me it's a software update, but their system won't connect to the car because they need a software update. Finally get the vehicle back on 12/11/24. FOUR DAYS LATER & the same problem again. Brake system failure, one pedal driving & service stabilitrak alerts come on while going to leave my house. Towed again the next morning(12/16/24). Brake booster ordered 12/17 with no ETA. 2 days go by with no communication from them. I ask what's up. Still no ETA. I mention lawyer on Monday the 22nd & wow my part is there on Tuesday! Tells me car will be fixed by 12/27. That day comes only for them to tell me their system isn't working again to program the car. I file a case with Honda. I hear nothing from the dealership again until 1/8/25. I filed lemon law on 1/7. I hear nothing from service again until 1/13 just more excuses & about engineers coming to look at the car and ordering a new module. Get another message from them today that the car can be picked up(1/17/25). I cannot wait to get rid of this vehicle. I do not feel safe driving it anymore especially with 2 children. Luckily I was not on a highway or far from home when these brake failures occurred.

When turning the vehicle on, it sometimes displays an error in the instrument panel of the”Brake system failure 43 MPH Top Speed” When this error is present, the vehicle has almost no braking capability. One pedal braking is also disabled when this happens. So the only way to stop the car is to mash the brake pedal to the floor like your life depends on it. Turning the vehicle off for 5 minutes and turning it back on seems to clear the issue.

After charging my car from ~20% to 80% over the course of ~8 hours, I powered on the car, reversed out of my parking space, and began driving. Shortly after (<1 min), I noticed that both my Instrument Panel screen and my Infotainment screen had shut off and were black. I continued driving for another 2-3 minutes before pulling into a parking lot. In the lot I powered the car on and off many times, and also powered the car on in Service Mode. During each of these power cycles both screens remained black. About an hour later I returned to the car and again the screens did not turn on. I drove the car about half a mile, stopped and turned it off again for around 30 minutes. After coming back to the car this time, the screens worked as normal. My safety was put at risk because without my instrument panel, I lose almost all feedback and situational awareness of the state of the car. Also, while backing out of a parking space while the screens were not working, I did not have access to my back-up camera. I have not yet taken the car to a dealer or mechanic. I am writing this report directly after the screens resumed operating. I did not see any warning lamps or messages prior to the failure. But when I entered the car initially, I did notice that the infotainment screen was turned on and at a screen that otherwise is not seen until I turn on the car.

On Feb 7th, notice a Knocking/Clicking noise coming from right wheel when making slight right turn, but not often. Called my dealership and immediately they said they were aware of issue and said it is common in Prologues. But due to the prologue being a GM make and not Honda, they were told they needed to wait till GM comes up with a solution, as well as parts being backordered. A few weeks later, knocking noise got louder and happening more often. Concerned I asked them to take a look at vehicle. I brought it in on March 4th, tech took it for a drive and yes confirmed issue and told me we just needed to wait or callback in a few months. As of today, April 11th, noise is extremely loud & always happens when making right turns, and is continuous through the whole duration of turn. Now we are slowly hearing it on left turns and when reversing.

I have a brand new Honda Prologue Elite that, within 500 miles of leasing it, has a loud knocking noise on both the front left and front right sides whenever I make a hard left or right turn. It sounds like a loud knocking/creaking noise and I usually hear it three times during a turn. It can be heard over a moderate volume radio. The sound has been replicated by a service technician at the dealership, who thought they corrected it (found a loose bolt under the panel under the passenger seat!) but they did not fix the actual problem and it continues. The sound remains and seems to be getting louder. I am increasingly concerned about what happens if the noise continues to get louder and the part(s) eventually fails - and where the car will go if that happens. This has happened on repeat occasions from 30-55 mph (though usually starting from a stop, like being at a light waiting for my chance to turn left).

The front axle makes a grinding and click sound whenever you're turning. Dealership replaced the part but then the new one just broke as well. Now Honda is refusing to replace again as they supposedly work on a fix that has been well over a year in the making now. Separate problem with the adaptive cruise control. It randomly slams on the brakes on the highway. Dealership agreed they experienced it but nothing they could do and I would just have to wait for a software update and hope it fixes the problem.

Safety issue 1 Automatic collision breaking is too sensitive when going in reverse. The vehicle locked up the brakes several times when I was trying to reverse causing myself and my family‘s heads to snap back suddenly. This is a safety issue because if the CV joint fails, this could cause loss of control of the vehicle while driving.

Often after signaling and completing a right turn, the momentum of the turn signal stalk automatically returning to the off position carries it slightly past center, causing the left turn signal to flash 3 times. This can lead to confusion for other drivers. For example, when I am turning onto a multi-lane roadway, they may mistakenly believe that I intend to immediately merge into their lane and react defensively, disrupting traffic flow in potentially dangerous ways. This has not been inspected and confirmed yet by my dealer service department, but unfortunately seems to be a common complaint made by other Prologue drivers that I've conversed with. When engaging the right turn signal and upon completing a right turn, the left turn signal activates three times when the signal stalk returns to the center position. Took vehicle to Honda dealership where it was confirmed. Honda dealership replaced turn signal switch. Vehicle continuing to experience this problem, intermittently. This is a potential safety risk as other vehicles will see the left turn signal activated on your vehicle and may think you are trying to turn left or switch lanes, when you are not.

I have encountered recurring problems with the vehicle's automatic braking system, as well as issues with the Honda Prologue app, both of which I believe compromise the vehicle's safety and performance. The vehicle's automatic braking system appears to be malfunctioning, as it has activated unexpectedly on multiple occasions, leading to near-miss accidents. At least three occasions, the vehicle’s brakes have engaged without cause, even in situations where there is no obstruction or “phantom” vehicle detected. This automatic braking has not only been inappropriate but also posed a significant safety risk to both myself and other road users. Additionally, the reverse braking system exhibits similar issues, activating without cause. Despite the alerts being on and the brakes not being engaged, the system’s warning signals still activate, leading to further confusion and potential danger. I have consulted with both the dealership and the Honda Prologue forum, and it has been confirmed that this is an ongoing issue. The dealership has indicated that they have no immediate workaround or solution. The only remedy has been to disable these safety features entirely, which negates the very purpose of having them.  The Honda Prologue app, which is intended to provide critical vehicle information and allow remote monitoring and control, is also malfunctioning. I have been in communication with Honda for over two months regarding these issues, but unfortunately, no viable solution has been provided. The app is essential for monitoring vehicle functions such as theft prevention, charging status, and temperature control, all of which are key safety and convenience features. In particular, I am concerned about my ability to monitor the vehicle’s charging especially given the increasing number of incidents involving electric vehicles catching fire during or after charging. Proper monitoring of charging status is crucial to avoid potential overcharging and battery degradation.

When the vehicle is in reverse, the safety feature that is supposed to prevent you from hitting something mistakenly goes off when there is nothing there. It seizes the car and immediately causes the brakes to go off. The car will feel like it got in a crash. There is no way to un-release it and there is no way to change the settings to prevent it. It is a great safety feature that could really protect me from getting into a crash. But instead at least once or twice a week it simply prevents me from backing out of my driveway in the morning to go to work. Delaying me by 1-2 minutes every day. Very annoying.

My 2024 honda prologue was brought in to service a battery failure light and get a clicking noise in the front axel looked at when turning. The light was a red on the dash shaped like a car with an exclamation point. Dealer claimed that the multiple codes were nothing and that the car needs a new audio system. Not sure how audio systems = battery failure but i digress. I was told my car is safe to drive so I picked it up, they have still not made any repairs as the audio system is on back order. The morning after i picked it up, the heater started blowing ice cold air, in 10 degree weather. Immediately returned to the dealer where they are saying they don’t know what’s wrong with it and they think it is still safe to drive

However I see people having complaints and getting the vehicle serviced. Also my charger door compartment has been replaced 2x and is almost headed in for a third replacement. The contact owns a 2024 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed and making a turn, the vehicle made abnormal clanking and grinding sounds. The message "Drive with Caution - Acceleration Decreased" was displayed. Additionally, the heater was inoperable, and the battery failed to charge above 25 percent. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who replaced the front axles four times and serviced the battery; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.

At almost 20,000 miles my car shut itself off while I was still driving. I was slowing down to a stop but my car was not functioning properly, could not turn my car off, put in park or turn of parking break. I had to sit in the middle of the street for at least a minute until I was able to shut off my car and restart it again. I drove straight to the Honda dealership. Waiting on diagnostic results. Also, I have always had a problem reversing out of a parking space when it rains. The emergency sensor reads an object behind me and automatically breaks even though I am the only car in the parking lot. It takes me minutes to back out enough to turn my car.

While sitting idle at a traffic light, my forward collision notification beeped in spite of my Honda Prologue and the vehicle in front of me being completely still. Otherwise, no movement was taking place in front of my car. I captured this on camera during an incident when this occurred briefly. I would be happy for Honda to inspect this. I haven’t reported this to anyone else at this point. No other warning lights or messages indicated this could be a problem. This failure of my forward collision warning system has occurred about 50 times since purchasing this Prologue in late December of last year (over about 7,500 miles). At times, the beeping won’t stop unless I put the car in park. I learned the locations of the sensors behind the rear-view mirror and on the bumper. I cleaned the outer surfaces off to no effect.

Service high voltage system light/notification has come on three times since we got it last September 2024. The first time the light came on we heard lots of clicking leading up to the notification. The second time there wasn’t anything noticeably wrong besides the light coming on. The third time the heater wouldn’t heat the air coming in, it stayed cold. Then when trying to charge the car wouldn’t go past 27%.

ve had the 2024 Honda Prologue in for repair for service high voltage system 5 times. The car was purchased on 20 Jan 25, the first time was on 17March 25 and the car had 1880 miles, the second time was on 13 Oct 25 and the car had 7141 miles, the third time was on 23 Oct 25 and the car had 7357 miles, the 4th time was on Nov 3 and the car had 7421 miles,the 5 times was on 17 Nov 25. With the service high voltage system problem it affects the charging ability of the car, the max charge I can get is 25% which vives me a driving range of 70 miles. When the car was in for the 5th visit they also had to replace the driver side front axel because of bad cv joint,they also found the passangers side front axle was s also bad but could not replace it because of back order on parts with no ETA. Both of thse a re safety issues, not knowinf if the front end might collapse or if I get the service high voltage system warning when I am not near a charging facility. I feel that I am a prisoner to this car and am afraid to drive it far from home. What I understand is that Honda is not making any serious effort to fix these problems. i beleive it will take a few deaths before Honda steps up and takes responsibility.

When pulling out of the driveway or parking spot and turning sharply to the left or right a clicking sound presumably from the CV joint can be heard. It has not been confirmed by the dealer, the vehicle is in the service department at leadcar honda due to “service high voltage system” and “unable to charge” messages. This message puts the vehicle in limp mode causing an unsafe situation and inability to charge had the potential to leave me stranded in frigid winter temperatures. The vehicle has not been inspected be the dealer because they only have one person certified to work on Prologue. But they did not fixed because they did see loose or bad since the car is new parts may not be available. yet they told I can still drive it . When I apply my indicator in one direction and begin my turn, the indicator automatically turns off at a certain point. Immediately afterwards, the OPPOSITE indicator automatically flashes about three times. This happens about half of the time I’m making a basic 90 degree turn. It has happened regularly since I purchased the car in December of last year. It is a safety issue since the people behind me think I am making a quick left after making a right or vice versa. It seems to be an issue with GM models, and this is a GM build.

A knocking or clicking sound occurs when the vehicle is changing direction; for example, when stopped at a corner and turning either left or right, oftentimes at low speed. This same clicking or knocking sound appears to come from the front (I am assuming at the axle) began appearing sometime in late December 2024. I did not know it was a problem experienced by other Honda Prolgoue owners until I watched a video on YouTube. I have made an appointment with the dealer, who said there is a charge to diagnose this problem on a car I bought in November 2024 at that dealership.

Unable to charge the vehicle or heat the cabin of the car when running. When turning the heat up a burning odor was observed. Dashboard warning messages state “service high voltage system”, “service vehicle soon”, and reduced acceleration, drive with care. The dealership has been in contact with the manufacturer to try and address the issue but recommended parts are on back order with no ETA. Vehicle was purchased new with 127 miles on odometer and problem occurred at about 700 miles, 3 weeks after taking possession of the vehicle.

The Propulsion System Error warning light (a red car icon with an exclamation point) has appeared multiple times since I purchased the vehicle. This has occurred while driving, charging, or turning on the vehicle, with no apparent cause or trigger that I can identify. I have made several attempts to have the issue resolved by Honda, but they repeatedly provide excuses, such as the unavailability of an EV technician or the lack of proper equipment to update the car's computer software. During the most recent occurrence, I was driving when the error light came on, and I experienced reduced acceleration—something I don’t recall happening before. This presents a significant safety concern for me and others on the road. A sudden reduction in speed increases the risk of being rear-ended by an inattentive driver, or worse, becoming stranded in the middle of a travel lane. Honda has inspected the vehicle previously and documented the error codes and they have just cleared the codes or updated the software on the car. No additional symptoms were present leading up to the issue. This ongoing problem needs urgent attention to ensure the safety and reliability of the vehicle.

Where to begin? not even 2 weeks after having this vehicle it nearly caused a major accident and gave me whiplash & neck problems (have doctors documentation as proof) when the automatic breaking system hard breaked my vehicle twice in the same trip (20 minutes from work to home) with the second time resulting in my car skidding quite a few feet on a highway in the middle of rush hour traffic (want to note the distance in front of the car was quite significant both times) also both CV joint axles need replacing on top of rear passenger door is not the right size & often pops open. Honda dealership has my vehicle for 31 days back in December January stating parts for door would be in within the month and the cv axle would be beginning of march. here it is March 26th and I've heard nothing from the dealership after multiple attempts of trying to get a hold of them. also worked with Honda and opened a claim who also is ignoring my calls. I hardly want to touch the vehicle as I'm afraid of it causing a major accident or the door popping open as I'm driving with my children in the car.

Front axels produce loud clicking and popping noises when turning sharper in both the left and right directions. This first started at 2,500 miles and seems to be getting progressively worse. Vehicle now has 3,500 miles on it. Sound is heard in both forward and reverse. Parking collision activates regularly when backing out of the garage. It aggressively stops the vehicle and will not allow it to move even though there is no obstruction. Emergency braking aggressively activated one time for an unknown reason.

About two weeks into having my Honda prologue. I started noticing a clicking sound. Every time I took sharp sharp turns my steering wheel is not centered. I took it to the dealer, thinking that it was a wheel misalignment. They told me that the alignment was in perfect shape I the steering wheel is still not Centered. when I drive. but dealer said they found no issues.... The rear crossing warning detects a person a lot of times even when there is no person behind the vehicle, it makes a sudden stops. I have gotten whiplash because of how hard the breaking system abruptly stops.

VEHICLE LEFT FRONT AXLE STARTED MAKING A LOUD CLICKING NOISE WHEN TURNING. WITHIN A FEW WEEKS IT HAS TURNED INTO A CRACKING NOISE, I NOTICED GREASE LEAKING FROM THE OUTER AXLE BOOT. VEHICLE IS UNDER WARRANTY AND HAS 24K MILES. VEHICLE FEELS UNSAFE TO DRIVE AS THE FRONT AXLE APPEARS TO BE FAILING AND COULD CAUSE A CRASH AT HIGH HIGHWAY SPEEDS. Broken/Clicking CV joints. This could lead to all loss of power transfer to the wheels, causing a sudden and unexpected stop to the vehicle while driving. Honda is aware of this defect, but has no permanent fix. This is confirmed by multiple Honda Service Centers. High Voltage Warning. Loss of heat, car will not charge, car shuts down/becomes undrivable, or enters "limp mode." This is an extreme safety issue. The car loses the ability to properly cool the main battery. This could result in thermal runaway (a rapid, uncontrollable, and self-sustaining increase in battery cell temperature), resulting in a fire that is difficult to extinguish, burns extremely hot, may reignite hours or days after the initial incident, and/or result in explosion. This is confirmed by multiple Honda Dealerships. The warning has occurred multiple times, even after multiple repair attempts.

I purchased a Honda Prologue from my local dealer with just 8 miles on it. At 97 miles, multiple warning lights appeared, including "Service High Voltage System" and "Service Vehicle Soon." Additionally, the vehicle would not allow me to charge the battery once these warnings were displayed and acceleration was reduced. I took it to the dealer, where they diagnosed an overcharged AC system causing battery cooling issues. They removed 1.270 kg from the system, cleared the codes, and tested to ensure proper levels before returning the vehicle to me. After driving for another week, the same warning lights reappeared, and now, with only 360 miles on it, the vehicle is back at the dealer for further diagnosis for the same warning lights. It does not appear an overcharged AC system was the cause. For a brand-new car with less than 500 miles, this is completely unacceptable from Honda.

On April 19, 2025, the "Engine/Battery Fault" warning light illuminated on my vehicle. At the time, the car had only 1,398 miles on the odometer and had been purchased just one month prior. Shortly after the warning appeared, I received a diagnostic report from OnStar indicating fault code U362A. The vehicle exhibited significantly reduced acceleration and limited charging capability. Concerned about the issue, I brought the car to the dealership where I purchased it for inspection and service. The dealership performed a reset of the main computer system, which cleared the warning light. However, I remain concerned about the reliability of the vehicle. If this issue were to occur again—especially while driving in a remote area—I could be left stranded without the ability to drive or charge the car. While the problem has not resurfaced since the reset, I am worried it may return unexpectedly, affecting my confidence in taking the vehicle on longer trips.

The vehicle has experienced a repeated knocking noise coming from the right front wheel area, particularly when turning right or left at low speeds with the steering wheel fully turned. The dealership diagnosed the issue as a failure of the front wheel drive half shaft (outboard passenger axle) and replaced the component. This same part has now failed three times. Despite multiple repairs and part replacements, the problem continues to return. The front axle/half shaft is a critical drivetrain component, and failure of this part can affect steering control and vehicle stability, especially during turning. Between all service visits, my vehicle has been at the dealership for nearly one month in total. Most recently, my third appointment was canceled, and I was informed that there is currently no solution available for this issue. I am extremely concerned about the safety of operating this vehicle due to the repeated failure of the same drivetrain component and the lack of a permanent repair. This feature does not work. On roadways with clearly marked yellow and white lines, the system will not read that there are lines on the road. Conversely, on roads with no lines, the system will randomly beep, alerting me to a lane departure from a space with no lanes. Sometimes it just beeps out of the middle of nowhere seemingly because it feels like it. I have alerted the dealership to this. The issue was reproduced for them and they confirmed that the lane departure system was not working in my Prologue. Then they shrugged and said that Honda had not issued a fix for the issue. This has been addressed more than once with no way to fix the issue offered by the dealership or Honda. This is a safety issue because this is part of the safety system in this vehicle and it does not work.

The lane keeping assist on my Prologue does not work. It does not engage. It does not attempt to center the car. It never turns on. This has been brought to the dealership's notice, was reproduced for them, and confirmed to be an issue for my Prologue. The dealership then shrugged and stated that Honda has not issued a fix for the issue. This is a safety issue because it is a safety feature of the vehicle and it does not work.

Blind spot warning works intermittently. Sometimes it alerts correctly, sometimes it does not alert at all, and sometimes it alerts to nothing. This is a huge safety concern because I might try to change lanes directly into a car in my blind spot if it says nothing is there. This was brought to the attention of the dealership, was reproduced for them, and has been confirmed as an issue with my Prologue. Then they just shrugged and said the Honda has not issued a fix for the problem.

Wiper control is not fully under human control. At any speed less than very fast, the wipers are on automatic. The automatic will not start unless the car is going over 35 miles an hour, which means that I either need to waste windshield wiper fluid to clear my windshield below that speed or turn the speed up to max to do so. Once the car has gone over that speed, though, the automatic system will control the wipers, sometimes getting stuck on max noatter how much rain there is and not being able to be slowed unless they are turned completely off and left that way for several minutes. This has been demonstrated for and confirmed by the dealership. Then they shrugged and said that Honda has not issued a fix for the problem. This is a safety issue because it obstructs the vision of the driver and takes concentration away from the road.

While driving during a rain & snowstorm, the front windshield wiper stopped working completely all of a sudden. Adjusting the dials on the left stalk did nothing. The rear wiper worked perfectly throughout this incident. It is available for inspection. After the car was turned off and back on (of course during a stop), finally the front wiper started working again. Without the front wiper, any precipitation or dust makes safe driving impossible, greatly increasing the risk to myself, other drivers, pedestrians, and property. I have not taken it in for service as I do not know how to trigger / reproduce it again. There were zero messages / lamps / other symptoms. The screens did not give any alerts nor messages regarding any malfunction: the front wiper dial simply did nothing. For reference, this is the Elite trim with ~1000+ miles. Automatic wipers were off (and have been for many days now—they were too unreliable & confusing).

While driving it started raining and I attempted to turn the windshield wiper on. The control knob was unresponsive. Rear wiper control worked. Checked the front wiper again - unresponsive in all positionsl. Fortunately I was able to pull my vehicle to the side of the road while I still had visibility, turn the car off, turn the car on, and then the wiper control was functional again. If this had happened during a sudden downpour on the freeway it could have been much worse. For reference - I keep the automatic wiper setting on OFF. I did not troubleshoot enabling the automatic wiper setting during the incident.

SEVERAL LIGHTS BEGAN FLASHING, AND THE ACCELERATION stopped at 25 mph: 1. Service High voltage 2. Service Vehicle Soon 3. Reduced Acceleration - Drive With Care I brought the car in the next day. The service center at Honda Mahwah diagnosed the problem immediately. They said it is a valve for the AC system that cools the battery. They know this valve is bad on many Honda Prolouges and needs to be replaced. They said there is a "Service Bulletin" out for this problem. Then they said they do not have this valve and have no idea when it will be available. They did not want my car to sit on their lot, nor did they offer a loaner. I have not driven the car since, and it sits in my driveway, not the garage. I'm afraid of the high voltage problem, and I do not want the battery to explode in my garage. I think the NHTSA should issue a recall so this can be fixed. Pictures attached.

On a cold day the vehicle's baking system failed. It was would not move more than 62MPH and would not function. When dealer was contacted no assistance was given until Honda Corporation got involved. The problem cleared up on its own and I was advised that it should be fine at this point.

In addition, the brake pedal was depressed, however, the vehicle failed to stop as intended. The vehicle speed increased independently. As a result, the vehicle crashed into another vehicle. The fire department and the police arrived on the scene. A police report was filed. There were no injuries reported at the scene of the crash, however, the driver of the other vehicle was later treated for unknown injuries. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard. The contact stated that both vehicles were condemned totaled lost. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was 1,000. The VIN was unavailable.

My brakes were mushy when braking. Warning notices on the dash for servicing brakes and other related brake systems came up. At one point I couldn't come to a full stop. Issue first noticed 9/26/24. Dropped the car off at the dealer 10/8/24 and it sat for four months waiting the brake master cylinder. Picked up on 1/9/25. So far the brakes are working fine. I am now noticing a clicking sound coming from the front end when steering.

When I reverse, from leaving home at our garage, multiple times the car will apply the brakes. It thinks there is something or someone behind me and applies the brakes to avoid hitting something. I ended up turning off the rear braking setting. I was also cruising along on the highway at 70MPH when the car turned off the the system. It shocked me because I wasn't expecting the gas pedal to be let up. It seemed like the car thought there was another car in front of me even though there were no cars for at least 3/4 mile . It turned off the front collision system. The sensors seem sensitive even though I cleaned the sensor/radar on the front windshield, the front camera, rear camera and the side door cameras.

According to my research the part that has failed in the CV joint for my right front wheel. This was made evident to me by an occasional clicking noise when I turn and accelerate. The part is not available for inspection. So far, it has not put myself or others at risk. The problem has not been confirmed by a dealer. Neither the vehicle nor the component has been inspected by those you listed above. There have been no warnings or other symptoms before the CV joint failed and the clicking noise began.

It seems that the vehicles "auto hold" function, which is the standard control method for electric one-pedal driving cars does not always operate correctly or at all. This results in the vehicle suddenly accelerating due to gravity or potentially under it's own power. I have had to slam on the break many times to prevent the vehicle from busting through the garage door, and if any of my children or anyone else was near the car they could certainly receive life-threatening injuries. The vehicle has been bought in for this and a slew of other issues, and the service center relied on a software update and us testing the vehicle thereafter for the reported faults. The vehicle has been inspected by the Honda dealership's EV expert. There are no warning lights, alerts or any preceding messages that would suggest there was an issue. We have not been driving the vehicle due to the these obvious safety issues. When we were driving this vehicle both drivers and the kids in the car quickly became aware of the issue and all felt unsafe. The vehicle has remained parked and unused. Recently I was able to test this and recorded videos of the seemingly random, obviously unsafe and seemingly random events. I cannot seem to upload these videos to this portal.

When driving with the adaptive cruise control on, the Prologue throws out an alert after it suddenly disengages the cruise control that states that the forward camera is blocked and the cruise control will disengage. The cruise control also fails to notice cars in front of the Prologue and will speed up, then will suddenly "see" the car, jam on the breaks, then the accelerator again. Also, the adaptive cruise control cannot gauge distance between cars and all following distances set for the car, whether 1, 2, or 3, are exactly the same. This has been reproduced for the dealer and confirmed as an issue with this Prologue. The dealer then shrugged and said there were no fixes from Honda yet, so there was nothing they could do. This is a huge safety issue because a sudden deceleration at highway speeds has nearly caused a half dozen accidents in the past 2 weeks alone. This issue has been reoccurring for over 1 year with multiple congerences with the dealership, all ending with the statement that Honda has not issued a fix yet.

I have had multiple issues with this vehicle and it has been in the shop more than 80 days between April and Oct 2025. First, the entire battery system went out in the all electric vehicle. Honda said that since it was a collaboration car with GM, that it would take a long time to fix because their technicians weren’t very familiar. It took almost 8 weeks in the shop before we got it back. Not long after, the entire dash (electronics) went out and the shop had it again for over a week. they never found or could replicate the issue. The vehicle went back in after having multiple incidents of emergency braking when there was no emergency, or even vehicles in my vicinity. The final time this happened, I was traveling nearly 25 miles per hour and the car decided to slam on the brakes, making me feel like I hit a brick wall. My head slammed the steering wheel and my daughter was terrified. I drove it straight to the dealership and they said “what’s wrong with the car this time”…they had it for weeks, couldn’t replicate the issue and tell me it’s fine and to take it home. They suggest TURNING OFF THE SAFETY STSTEM AS A FIX, which seems criminal. The safety features should work properly. I shouldn’t be instructed to turn them off. I am very frustrated and have been working with Honda on a buy back out of good faith, but it’s been weeks and we have no answer. I am forced to drive a gas vehicle, costing me gas money now, when I bought an electric vehicle to avoid this cost. All around, it has cost me more money than it’s been worth and I’ve made multiple car payments as it’s sat at a dealership unusable. Again, it has spent more than 80 days in 6 months at the dealer with no resolution. My sound system blew out last time they had it checking out the braking issue so I waited another week to have that replaced, meanwhile the fix to the braking system was that I was told to turn the safety feature off. Automatic braking is very sensitive, especially in the rain, and even more so when backing up in the rain. The unexpected braking happened to me at a rotary for no apparent reason, and numerous times in reverse. Service Vehicle Soon Light/(Propulsion System Failure) came on randomly at around 4000 miles. Within a day or so it turned off. Nothing with the car seemed to be effected. Then around 4500 symbol turned on again and has been on for a day or so. No notable issues.

I took the vehicle to the dealership and they stated it is a manufacturer defect and there is no recall at this time. The vehicle has also slammed the brakes on when driving down the road and there has been no obstructions or obstacles.

I leased this vehicle approximately three weeks ago, yesterday as I was adjusting the dashboard lighting, the service high voltage battery warning came on. Now the vehicle wont take a charge, the vehicle has changed the charge setting to 40%, and I cannot increase it. I 've reserved an appointment for 4/11/2025 for the vehicle to be serviced, and was told that I wont be given a loaner vehicle. This entire scenario is very inconvenient to say the least. This my first Honda and probably my last. I feel that my safety is at risk in this case, as I cant drive it now, since I cant recharge the battery, so the vehicle is totally unreliable at this time. There were no warning signs of this issue, and I'm grateful that the vehicle didnt die in the middle of rush hour traffic, or leave me stranded somewhere.

I tried to shift into reverse, but got a warning message that the conditions for shifting error, I also could not shift to drive. I only have had the car for 2 weeks. I called the honda warranty, they arranged to have it towed to dealership. 2 different service people tried troubleshooting the problem on site with no success. It was towed and dropped off after hours at a Honda service center. The tech called the next day stating that the problem could not be recreated and all diagnostic tests came out good. Waiting and wondering when this car is going to leave me stranded again.

When accelerating into a turn from a complete stop, left turn or right turn, there is a knocking sound coming from the cv joint. Vehicle made this sound when driving off the lot brand new. Vehicle also experienced a battery fault error/reduced propulsion warning at 700 miles and is currently at the dealer to investigate. The error alternates with the battery fault light indicating a fault with the high voltage battery and the propulsion power is limited light. This error occurred after preconditioning at 30% battery charge in 32 degree weather. The vehicle warmed up the interior but displayed the message as soon as I put the car into reverse gear. Both of these issues are safety issues in potential loss of steering and loss of propulsion power on the road.

The car makes a clicking noise when I make sharp turns, most co.monly to the left. It is brand new with only 2320 miles on it. The noise started within the last few weeks. The rear breaking system locked up the brakes and turns the emergency break on, when backing up, even if nothing is behind me. Once it was rain drops dripping off of the rear window. Another time, nothing was there. I had to assume that it picked up a shadow in the driveway.

As others have reported here and elsewhere online, my Prologue emergency braking/collision detection system repeatedly activates when there is no danger of a collision. Backing out of my driveway I can expect that 25-50% of the time the car will slam on the brakes for no reason and apply the parking brake, which I then have to disengage manually to continue backing out. More recently, I was driving 30 mph on a city street with no one in front of me when without warning the Prologue slammed to a complete stop. Fortunately no one was behind me or I almost certainly would have been rear-ended. After four months of owning the Prologue, and seeing this exact problem reported over and over again, it's evident the entire electronics system is glitchy at best and downright dangerous at worst. Everything from the crash-avoidance cameras (regularly issues messages that they're blocked when they're obviously not) to the remote starter (supposed to come on with two quick presses of a button on the fob, but often takes a dozen or more to actually activate) is borderline non-functional. Whether this is a software or a hardware problem, or some combination thereof, there's no question in my mind that sooner or later, as more of these vehicles are on the road, one of these malfunctions is going to cause a crash. I hope the NHTSA will see enough of a quorum of similar complaints to investigate before that happens. For my part, I've turned off all driver assist systems in my Prologue, which is the only way I can be assured the car will only brake when it should. Additionally, again as many others have reported, my Prologue knocks somewhere in the vicinity of the front axle whenever I corner sharply enough in either direction.

On 13 August 2024 I was driving my 2024 Honda Prologue when the DIC and infotainment screens went blank. At this time with no information displayed on any screen, the car was unsafe to operate. I drove the car straight to the local dealer, Tony Honda. The dealer was unable to diagnose the problem. After contacting Honda Tech support, they decided the audio control unit was defective. After 65 days the dealer was able to replace the unit and it seems to work properly. Honda informed the dealer the car was safe to operate without any display screens or information. Actually the car was unsafe to drive with no speedometer indication or any other control functioning.

On [XXX], around 8 PM, I was driving north towards DeLand, Florida on the highway at approximately 70+ miles per hour when my 2024 Honda Prologue started to slow down on its own. The air conditioning system shut down, and a warning displayed on the dash: “Service High Voltage System.” I immediately drove home and contacted CarSafely, fearing that the car might become stranded and was not safe to drive. The following morning (Tuesday, [XXX]), around 8 AM, I emailed and called the Coggin DeLand Honda service department, informing them of the issue and sharing photos and a video of the incident. The error/warning disappeared after turning the vehicle on and off several times. Coggin advised me to bring the car in the next time the warning appeared on my dashboard. On Thursday, [XXX], around 12 PM, I was driving on [XXX] towards Daytona Beach at around 70 mph when the vehicle suddenly slowed down again. The air conditioning system shut down, and the service warning “Service High Voltage System” appeared on my dashboard once more. I immediately got off the highway and stopped at a safe location to turn off the vehicle and document the error and warning on my dashboard. I emailed Coggin DeLand Honda again to inform them of the issue. On Friday, July 5, 2024, I took the car to the Coggin DeLand Honda service department, where they connected the vehicle to their computer for a diagnosis. The service department detected the error and reset/cleared the error code. However, the service tech informed me that they could not fix the issue due to insufficient information, as the vehicle was built by GM (General Motors Corporation). They advised me to return directly to the dealer without an appointment if the error reappeared. On Monday, [XXX], around 8 AM, while driving at approximately 25 miles per hour on a local road near my home, the “Service High Voltage System” error reappeared. The contact owns a 2024 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while reversing, the rear-view camera screen was blank. The contact stated that the battery was not fully charged. Additionally, while making a left turn, there was an abnormal clicking sound coming from the front passenger’s side of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times. The contact was informed that the front axle needed to be replaced. The contact was advised not to fully charge the battery. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact was informed that the Warranty Department had to approve the request for a loaner vehicle, to allow the repairs to be performed. The contact stated that the request was submitted in December 2025, however the vehicle was still not repaired. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 26V112000 (Back Over Prevention, Electrical System). The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,000.

High voltage system error has flagged and been fixed multiple times starting in early January of 2026. Car randomly warns and breaks in the middle of the road because it sensed something that wasn’t there. Luckily no wrecks have occurred. Both CV joints have a loud clicking noise that the Honda dealerships knows about but has no fix for. I currently have an appointment for the dealership to look at my brake and high voltage system again.

My vehicle constantly receives an error message while driving stating, "SERVICE HIGH VOLTAGE SYSTEM" and "REDUCED ACCELERATION DRIVE WITH CARE." Error symbols appear on the dashboard that show an orange turtle, a red battery with a big exclamation point through it and and a red car outline with a big exclamation point going through the middle of it. When this happens, the vehicle acceleration is significantly reduced and the regenerative braking or "one-pedal" feature automatically becomes disabled. If you're relying on that system to brake, it will not do so when you need it to and you have to manually press the brake to slow and stop the vehicle. This error clears after a few days of driving but never fails to return. The dealer said they found nothing wrong when I brought it in (when the error wasn't being displayed, of course) but it went back today with the error displayed so they could witness it for themselves. Separately, the vehicle makes an incredibly loud knocking noise when accelerating with the wheel turned. It appears this is coming from the CV joints.

On 2/19/2026 I was taking an freeway exit ramp from I 15 south to Carrol Carrol canyon and I stepped on the brake but the car did not slow (my perception was it was speeding up), the vehicle collision warning did not sound and the vehicle did not emergency brake, therefore I hit a stopped vehicle at a stoplight. My 2024 Honda Prologue sat in my driveway, during winter temps, for a few days, and when I walked around the car I noticed that the right rear tail light was completely cracked/busted. Upon closer evaluation, I also noticed that the left side started showing signs of cracking as well. The cracking started from the inside of the light, as you can't feel the crack on the outside surface, on the left side. There was no other damage anywhere else on the vehicle or in the surrounding area. The tail lights appeared to have busted/cracked on their own in the cold temperatures.

Backup Camera Failure (Occurred at approx. 1,000 miles) Part was on backorder, the rearview camera remained inoperative for approximately 99 days (February 22 through May 31, 2025). This rendered the vehicle non-compliant with federal rearview camera safety requirements. Emergency Braking System Issues (Ongoing) Compounding this, the vehicle’s emergency braking system would activate erratically and without cause, including: •When entering or exiting my driveway •During normal lane changes •When driving near trucks or concrete barriers Because these events occurred repeatedly and unexpectedly, I was forced to disable this safety system to avoid sudden braking events, further compromising vehicle safety. Broken CV Axles (Officially diagnosed at approx. 6,000-7,000 miles) •On May 31, 2025, the vehicle was returned to the dealership for backup camera installation and to revisit the knocking noise, this time properly documented. •That same day, both the left and right CV axles were diagnosed as broken, and I was told the vehicle was not safe to drive. •I had unknowingly been driving in this unsafe condition for almost three months. •The vehicle remained in the dealership’s possession until June 5, 2025 (6 days), Recurrence of Knocking Noise and Third Service Visit (January 10, 2026 – Approx. 15,000 miles) At approximately 15,000 to 16,000 miles, the knocking noise had returned (in both directions of steering) and I brought the vehicle in to be diagnosed •The dealership acknowledged hearing the noise. •I was told the sound is a “well-documented issue” with this model and considered “normal.” •I was informed that the vehicle was safe to drive. •I was told Honda is working on a redesigned part and that a recall is expected in approximately six months to one year. •I was specifically told Honda will not authorize replacement of the same axle parts again, as they continue to fail, and that I must wait for a recall remedy.

High voltage warning light, service vehicle soon light, reduced speed limit, would not charge past 25%, forward looking camera issues warning light would show up randomly Called the local Honda dealer(01/26/26), talked with service manager, He told me to bring the vehicle in immediately. The Honda dealer refused to fix it under warranty since it was in an accident.(Right fender and driver door needed repaired.) The dealer wanted $300 dollars to perform a diagnostic test on vehicle. Dealer found that the HVAC system had failed which also includes the 12 volt charging system to also fail. Dealer wanted an additional $800 for further diagnostic testing. Informed me that the full warranty was void do to it being in a previous accident and I will be responsible for all repairs for this vehicle. Contacted Honda headquarters and filed a complaint thru them. The car was towed to another dealer where they are working on it currently. No new updates as of 02/02/26

When driving, frequent knocking sounds can be heard coming from the engine when at a stop to turn, and accelerate. The electrical system was faulty with the engine electrical system indicating problems- the heater shut off, so we had no heat during a 90-minute road trip. Tire pressure monitor indicates low tirepressure and seems unresponsive. I brought it in for service. The electrical system was fixed, but the tire pressure remained low, was noit addressed and return to me with all tires at 32psi. Maintenance person commented, " Sir, all I do is return the vehicle to you"... Please advise. Thank you 4900

It's a noise coming from the front of both tires; it's a very, very unpleasant noise that's a little frightening because it's in the suspension area of the tires, and it sounds like something could break. The noise is also very loud and quite annoying. It's uncomfortable to drive with that noise all the time; it's constant when turning left or right. I'm trying to figure out if it's a manufacturing defect or something that can be fixed. I've already taken it to the dealership twice to report this problem, and they tell me it's normal, that the car is supposed to make that noise, but I don't think it's normal. I need an answer to my problem before I can talk to my lawyer because I don't think this is normal. It's a new truck; I don't think this is normal.

I wanted to register a complaint on an issue we have experienced in our 2024 Honda Prologue EX Elite with the "CV axles." This vehicle was sold to us with like-new mileage and was also certified, pre-owned by Honda. Symptoms of the problem were knocking sounds heard from the lower, front section of the car when accelerating from a stop and turning at the same time. It was first noticed around 4000 miles and diagnosed by the local Honda dealer at around 7300 miles. Based on many blog postings about consumer experiences with this issue, I believe it would have been difficult for Honda to unknowingly sell this car with this as a design defect, and it does not have a fix other than replacing with the same part which is prone to failure. Again, this claim can be backed up by many other consumer postings which reference defective CV axles being replaced multiple times. We would have made a wiser decision on purchase selection and are now concerned about resale value of the car. We are asking for your help in a recall mandate after evaluating the problem for Honda Prologues and GM vehicles using the same platform.

Yesterday 11/30/25 we were going on the freeway about 60 mph, when suddenly I got the warning that my battery and acceleration were impacted due to a battery issue. States to service battery soon. It stayed that way as we were headed to have some blood work. That warning continued until the evening when it disappeared so thought it was a glitch. I still setup an appointment to have it checked at the dealership on Thursday 12/4/25 at 8:15am. On 12/1/25 at around 7:35am I was about to break at a light when I feel this jolt from my car and the same warning lights stayed on. I was really concerned so when I got off and went to work I immediately called the service department to move my appointment up to Tuesday 12/2/25 at 7am first thing. I dropped off the car at night for them to work on it. This seemed to impact also the Heater as it was cold air coming from my vents. I have seen this issue in Facebook and Reddit but felt I may not experience it as I had 8000+ miles on it with various long road trips. But now I am worried about the reliability and safety of this vehicle. Hope they can fix it and soon.

My 2024 Honda Prologue has numerous issues. First, the CV joints are making the clattering noises when turning right from a stop. Started at almost 8000 miles, more faintly, but now very noticeable. I noticed the left has now started making the same noises as well at 9000 miles on the odometer. Soon after purchase, the automatic braking/collision avoidance slammed on my brakes HARD while driving at highway speeds. Nothing was present in front of me, early morning and no cars around or I probably would have been rear ended for sure. I disabled the auto braking but the “BRAKE” alert comes on almost daily, with nothing there. Backing up did the same so I disabled it as well. Lastly, every time I use my turn signal to turn right and I bring the wheel back to center, it cancels out as it should but it then turns the left signal on for 3 blinks. Assuming the stalk is to strong or weak and goes back just far enough to indicate like I am going to turn or enter left. This can surly cause confusion to other drivers. The dealer stated Honda is aware of the CV noise but has no remedy at this time. For the other issues, they needed me to leave my car but had no loaner available. I will have to return there at another time as the loaners are “first come first served”.

I got my honda prologue in may 2024, brand new. I have since had it into the shop about to be for the 2nd time due to clicking when i turn . CV JOINTS . they replaced all of them in 9/25 and now again in 11/25... not even 3 months later. I currently also have issues with the mileage, i used to get 260 when i would charge to 80% not i only get 230 if i am lucky. Also , my temp gauges tend of be wrong. along with my mileage showing i have more than i start driving and it goes down by 10-15 miles.... This car is worthless and the constant issues witht he CV JOINTS needs to be recalled so our cars can get bought back .. this is causing more issues for the owners than it needs to be

After which, the message "Battery Low" and "Service High Voltage System" were displayed, even though the battery indicator showed that the battery was charged to 90%. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. The Hybrid Battery warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who informed the contact that the vehicle was functioning as intended during the time it was in the service center for diagnosis, and no faults were found. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 10,900.

Knocking sound in the front when turning Honda states normal axel problem. For Fuel/battery . Been in a back and forth with Honda service/Honda motors because I’m getting less then advertised on my range performance. Example I drove a 60 mile drive and car drained 109z that’s 49 miles unaccounted for. I am now being told by Honda Motors mediation that the battery loses 30/40 percent efficiency in cold weather. That’s horrible. It’s not advertised and it’s unacceptable. It’s unsafe that customers can’t depend on the vehicle when an emergency happens.

When I was taking my Prologue in reverse and will slam on the brakes even when there is nothing behind me. It happens frequently nothing behind me. As others have reported here and elsewhere online, my Prologue emergency braking/collision detection system repeatedly activates when there is no danger of a collision. Backing out of my driveway I can expect that 40% of the time the car will slam on the brakes for no reason and apply the parking brake, which I then have to disengage manually to continue backing out.

Around 500 miles into my lease the CV Balljoint is making a creaking noise. Now the noise extends to both front cv joints and the clicking or knocking sound is all the time, every turn now. Spoke to dealer and they said this is a known issue and they are working on it but nothing so far. In addition, the emergency braking system is too sensitive. On a small bump the car emergency braking kicked in and slammed on the brakes for no apparent reason. This happened over 14 times in the first 3 months. Eventually, I had to turn off my collision braking. Several times I thought the car tires exploded. Dangerous as I do not have control of brakes, steering, etc... everytime this happens.

Anti-Braking System (ABS): This malfunction posed a significant safety risk. The car unexpectedly slamming on the brakes while backing out of the driveway onto the road causes a sudden stop, potentially leading to a collision with other vehicles as it takes several attempts of hitting the brakes or turning the emergency brake off to get the car to continue reversing out of the driveway. Transmission (Shifting into Neutral): This issue is extremely dangerous, especially on busy roads. When the vehicle unexpectedly shifted into neutral, I was unable to accelerate, which could have resulted in a dangerous situation if it had occurred on a highway or in heavy traffic, putting my family’s safety at risk. Both problems have been reported and inspected by the dealership but they were unable to reproduce the issues. I was told the auto braking system is performing as expected and is in the user manual and cannot be turned off which does not seem right. I have never driven a vehicle that cannot back out of a driveway without interruption. The Auto Braking System does display a message of "Rear Cross Traffic Auto Braking" when the brakes are initiated.

Back up Camera -- Honda Prologue Elite model does not have night vision back up camera. In the night when you reverse your car nothing is visible unless you press breaks. I realized this when I got loaner car and lower model has full visibility in the dark but my Elite back up camera does not have night vision. I complaint this issue with Honda Repair center and they asked me to complaint to Honda manufacturer as all Elite has same problem. I called many time to Honda but not response. Sensor - hands-free access does not work every time. it works only randomly. I complaint this to the repair center and they said all the car has the same issue so we cannot do anything about this. As my car is on lease, they are not cancelling my lease or replacing my car.

Speed limited.” I then tried to pull over in the parking lot and vehicle was extremely difficult to stop. I had to use both legs on the brake. While sitting waiting on a tow truck, I received another warning message that stated “Service High Voltage System.”

They know about the issue but don't have a fix for it and will not do anything for it. When backing you the car randomly puts on the break with nothing around the rear of the vehicle.

Break failure on highway causing MVA- multiple attempts were made to slow down and break vehicle to no response what so ever. Pressed breaks all the way down, nothing, no air, no resistance, no sounds, vehicle kept on going. In an attempt to save myself from an accident that could have been much worse, I jumped out of the moving vehicle, landing the back of my head on the cement highway floor toward left end of bumper. This vehicle is not safe and should be taken off the roads. I have 2 toddlers and am traumatized. The vehicle stopped after some impact in the middle of the highway. From the moment of receiving this car there has been some sort of issue with it's breaks. Initially short stopping on it's own when gas peddle not pressed- had the setting fixed for that to then experience multiple whiplashes for no reason while driving. Attempted to connect the starlink on multiple occasions as well to no success and just a bunch of wasted time trying. In addition to all the alarming safety concerns, this car would not heat up well- 40 minutes into my ride I'd start to feel some warmth. I would love to have this case investigated further and sue honda for allowing such a dangerous vehicle on the roads. My accident was bad but the honest truth is that it could have been worse and no one should have be subject to this danger.

Every time this car comes to a stop, it rocks back and forth significantly on its suspension. Even at low speeds, it is noticeable when breaking, with about a second and a half of five to six rebounds back and forth. It is highly prominent with stronger braking or stop-and-go traffic, resulting in about two seconds of hard rocking back and forth. This problem happens more when the car is being driven in normal mode, meaning using both the acceleration and brake pedals; it’s less pronounced when driving in “one-pedal” mode. I took the car to the dealer service department, and they tested my car and other Prologues. The service department manager said this seems to be a problem in all the Prologues, even a 2025 model they tested. This problem is causing motion sickness for me and my wife, which can lead to distractions and potentially unsafe behaviors as explained below: * Distraction: Passengers experiencing motion sickness may be too focused on their discomfort to pay attention to the road or the driver, which can be dangerous. * Nausea and Vomiting: Nausea and vomiting can cause a passenger to become ill, which can be a distraction and potentially lead to unsafe behaviors like reaching for a trash bag or losing control of their body. * Safety of the Driver: If a passenger struggles with motion sickness, the driver may be distracted by the passenger's discomfort, which can lead to unsafe driving behaviors. * Increased Risk of Accidents:If a passenger becomes ill and the driver is distracted, the risk of accidents increases. Even though the dealership acknowledged that this seems to be a widespread problem based on the tests that their service department did, they are unwilling to take action until an official recall is in place. Please help.

I have had this car since December 7th and I leased it brand new. It has been in service multiple times for multiple issues. Only one of the issues has been fixed while the rest they have not been able to diagnose. The cv axles have an issue and when I took the car back to Honda they said corporate Honda has not come out with a solution yet but the car is safe to drive??? The car makes a noise anytime I do a right turn and it has progressively gotten worse.

All lights related to brakes lighted up on a dashboard ( and message to take it to Dealer). Took it to Dealer. Car is in the shop for over 5 weeks and they can't figure it out what's wrong. They've replaced brake booster (twice!!!!!) and that didn't fix it... Now replacing front calipers. On top of that cv axle is clicking terrible and they can't replace it because it's on long Backorder ( I'm waiting over 2 months for it already.

Braking for no reason slam on the breaks so hard we all got so scare. Also the rear brakes engaging with no obstacles on the way.it felts like I hit something. took to the the dealer of purchase and very much make me field like I was insane. and what the technician did was turning off the automatic breaking system. that was the solution. now at when I turn right of left it makes a ticking noise on the suspension. started at 4k miles. plus a win noise is so heavy that I need to the radio volume. I got this car because of the automatic breaking technology offer, but I can't utilize it do to the failure of the system.

I have had my prologue for about two months now and have noticed that I receive a warning about reduced acceleration "randomly." I say “randomly” because I’ve observed that it appears during two specific situations. I get that warning whenever I’m low (less than 20%), so this is not random as it seems consistent. The other time this occurs is when I am driving or just starting my car (the battery percentage doesn’t matter, as it happens when it’s between 30% and 80%. Also, it happens when the temperature is below and above freezing). However, the latter situation occurs randomly and seems to happen more frequently while driving, though it also occurs when I am just starting the car. On top of that, the Forward Collision Warning system is extremely sensitive and has caused the car to brake hard unnecessarily on me with and without Adaptive Cruise Control enabled. Sometimes it even warns me of something that isn't even there.

Pulled out of our driveway and received a message that "AWD Temporarily Unavailable". This message did not indicate that this fault disables one-pedal driving. Upon reaching the end of my street at the stop sign, I gently let my foot off the accelerator expecting the car to slow down as it should when using one-pedal driving. Instead the car continued to move forward and I almost went through a stop sign into a busy road where I would have for sure gotten into a bad accident. Not informing the driver that this fault also disables one-pedal driving is extremely hazardous.

I was driving on the freeway when a few error lights came on—the Reduced Acceleration, Propulsion System Icon, and a turtle icon on the dashboard and I had to floor the accelerator pedal to maintain my speed. I then pulled over, and the vehicle wouldn’t shift into drive or reverse. It gave an error message saying “conditions not meet.” Eventually, the car started working again. This is an ongoing issue with the car and Honda doesn’t want to do a buyback, this car is a lemon. I keep taking it to the dealer and all they do is clear the codes and state they can’t “duplicate” any of my concerns.

Twice, a "service high voltage" error light has come on and it has said it impacts the ADAS and safety systems and the acceleration of the vehicle. The light disappeared after a short drive, but the heating system stopped working. The first time, we took it to the dealership and they reset the system and the heat came back a little, but seems to struggle under 32 degrees, and especially sub 15/20 degrees. The second time was this morning - the heat is barely working at all. Very frustrating for a vehicle under 2000 miles.

Steering: The vehicle is experiencing clicking noises as it turns while exiting downward sloped driveways. Issues with the Steering and loss of steering could cause an accident while pulling out of a driveway or making a turn. The vehicle has not been inspected for this issue. There were no warning lamps or messages for this issue. Body: The Trunk door has been opening without personal operation. When getting into the vehicle notification will be given that the trunk is open. Upon attempting to close the door it is stuck in a half open half closed position that will not let it lock back in. This is dangerous as the door opening without intention could cause an accident, could cause items in the back of the car to fall out while in motion, or could cause additional damage to the car itself. The car is currently at the dealer being reviewed.

1. When I turn my car either left of right there is a huge noise under the hood at the joint like a cracking noise. It is very concerning and doubt that some thing big is broken. I got to know in the forum that almost all the cars are having this issue. 2. When using my HondaLink app to unlock the door, sometimes the app has issues sending the signal to the car. This is a safety issue because in the event I lose my keys I will be locked out of my vehicle or in the even of an emergency when I need to access the vehicle quickly.

1st: Windshield not available to be replaced after crack has formed since 3rd day of purchase. The crack has extended more than half way across and Honda claims that windshield is not available and in back order. I have made multiple claims to my ins to have it replaced as well as to Honda and I am getting nowhere. This poses a safety issue and needs to be rectified immediately. Not having replacement windshield available is zero excuses. 2nd: While steering to either right or left, the axile makes a subtle clicking sound intermittently. I have researched and this seems to be a common issue with this car. Honda claims it is normal which it is not. An accident can occur and is a safety issue to me and others on the road.

Suspension Related Issue: CV Axel Joints causing clicking, which is the most common issue among users of this car. Apparently the Driveshaft needs to get replaced as well. I got the right side done as the car was pulling to the right before the replacement, but the other part is on back order with no ETA. Been driving this way since October 2024. So I will believe for now that it's safe to drive the car as per dealer's recommendation to do so. Braking: The One Pedal feature turns off at random when starting the Car. Almost got into an accident not knowing it was off. Dealer cannot replicate the issue, but it happens to me randomly. It's to the point I have to check that first before operating the vehicle. Could be the memory of the vehicle not retaining the settings. Blind Spot Warning: The sound notification has recently turned off and is no longer working. Needs to be inspected by Dealer. Off-topic: Some Dealers only have 1 certified technician to work on the car. You're at the mercy of their availability when something needs to get fixed.

I got the high voltage battery warning error on my dashboard after one random night of charging. The error doesn’t go away after 3 days and at times, the vehicle could not charge. I contacted my salesman and he suggested a hard reset which involved turning off the car and keeping the car fobs at least 20ft away, which worked. However I’m still concerned there is an issue with the battery. The memory seat setting doesn’t connect to the profiles. It randomly picks between 1 and 2 whenever the car turns on. Guest profiles can’t have their name saved unless their Google account is connected. The speaker rattles when volume is higher than 20%. There’s a knocking/clicking sound whenever I steer left or right. I called the dealership on 1/22/25 but was told it is not an issue. The vehicle has about 800mi on it. Front and rear collision warning sensors are too sensitive. The default settings for both are “alert and brake” which had led to random braking when backing out of a parking spot AND random braking when I was driving on the road. Luckily no accidents occurred and I have turned both to alerts only.

The EV battery would not charge. There were 2 messages, but nothing to indicate the issue, except that it was unable to charge. Took it into a dealer for service who stated that the freon was low. Without freon, the battery won't charge due to possible overheating. This was a brand new car - owned 2 days. They refilled the freon and charged the car. They could not find any leaks.

Whenever it gets cold, the car will being to experience brake systems failure, it was suddenly only go 62MPH. On this particular occasion, the car died in the middle of the street, thus blocking the street and causing a police response. Contacted Honda Support and they advised it would be up to 2 hours to get it towed out of there. Police called their own tow truck, the tow trucks had issues with it not going into Transport Mode and stuck parking break. It was brought to the dealer for repair. I believe the car is not safe because there has been several failures of this nature during the cold and other general system failures that appear to be computer related. More than likely police information item is on file.

UNKNOWN- car makes loud knocking sounds when turning right or left. Not sure what it could be but I read other people say it’s an axle issue. Took car to Honda, they inspected car and said it was fine and cannot figure out why the sound is occurring, but did say all prologues have this knocking sound when turning. Honda is currently investigating why this is happening and as of now, my dealership said the car is safe to drive even though I hear the sound daily and it makes me nervous. I use this car daily to drive my kids to school and myself to work and it is the only car I have but it is worrisome.

HondaLink app has major defects which impact safety and operation of the vehicle. Locking and unlocking the doors via the app doesn't work half the time. This causes a safety issue to access the vehicle if my keys are not readily available. Additionally the app notifies me that my charging is complete on the vehicle when it in fact is not charged to the set charging level. This could cause issues with operation of the vehicle if someone stops charging when receiving this notification. This could cause the vehicle to not have sufficient battery upon using the vehicle. Additionally, the tire pressure readout shown in the app doesn't work half the time. The app has a very long response time to do most tasks, or times out meaning the task doesn't complete. Additionally, there is a wind noise developing with the vehicle when driving around 35mph or greater, it is loud when driving the vehicle and sounds like the drivers window is cracked open, however it is not.

I have the same CV joint issue as most prologues. Loud, rapid clicking when turning right or left and Honda has no fix or remedy. I’m kind of just waiting for the front axle to fall apart while driving. The other issue is electrical, issues with hvac system and the memory seat has no fix either. Suspension is biggest issue that is unfixable and seems to be a high risk safety issue in my opinion.

CV Joint/ Axle. Also, rear collision warning system. CV Joint/Axle makes a very audible clicking sound when accelerating during a turn. Rear collision warning system hard brakes whenever you reverse even when there isn't anything there. the only solution is to disable it. I brought the vehicle to the honda dealership where i purchased it from and they confirmed there's an issue but said it's "normal". they were able to reproduce it The honda dealership inspected the vehicle. The CV Joint/Axle - i didn't notice any issues until i started hearing the sound. it was initially only when making right turns, but now it's heard when making right and left turns.

I had her come home and tried to get the dash to come on by turning car off then back on multiple times and nothing happened. Called Honda roadside assistance to get vehicle towed. Went back to vehicle to try again and the dash was working again. Called Honda roadside to update they suggested still having it taken to shop to be looked at

Incident #2 While driving on the highway all screens including radio and instruments went out leaving no access to range or speed. Had to take to Honda dealer for factory reset. Incident #3 Axels are clicking and shop states are broke and on back order. Vehicle had less than 8k miles on it when issue started.

The contact owned a 2024 Honda Prologue. The contact stated that while stopped at an intersection and attempting to make a right turn, the steering wheel was frozen and the vehicle began to independently accelerate at an unknown speed. The contact stated that he was depressing the brake pedal but the vehicle was not stopping. The contact stated that he crashed into a vehicle in front of his vehicle on the other vehicle's passenger side front door. The air bag deployed. The contact stated he was not aware of any warning lights. The contact stated that the police and emergency service vehicles arrived. The contact was not injured and did not receive any medical attention. The police filed an incident report. The vehicle was towed from the scene to an impound lot and later was declared a total loss by the contact's insurance provider. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.
