The second cylinder is not firing. The car stalled when on highway.

While driving at approximately 70MPH on the highway, my 2014 Hyundai Tucson Limited suddenly locked up with no warning lights, no noise and no prior symptoms. The engine completely seized, causing immediate loss of power. I was barely able to coast off the highway exit to a final stop on the feeder shoulder, in a desolate area. The vehicle has always been properly maintained and is in excellent condition. Upon research, I learned that Hyundai has known of internal engine defects caused by metallic debris left from manufacturing since 2010, which can cause bearing failure and engine seizure. My Tucson's failure matches the same pattern described in Hyundai's Theta II engine recall and warranty extension campaigns. This sudden failure created an extremely dangerous situation at highway speed and possibility of injury while being stranded on an open road. Many owners, myself included, were never properly notified of the risks. I am filing this report because this incident represents a serious safety defect and potential recurrence among similar vehicles that may not yet be covered by recall. I respectfully request that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration investigate this issue and ensure Hyundai expands its recall and warranty coverage to include affected 2014 Hyundai Tucson Limited vehicles exhibiting this defect that was well-known to the Hyundai Corporation. Date of Incident: October 23,2025 in Houston Texas. Vehicle towed to Hyundai dealer which diagnosed Engine Seized and currently awaiting Warranty Extension Approval (TXXC/TXXI)

I have not "yet" had an incident but, because of the safety recall, I have been parking my vehicle outside for almost a year (since October 2023). It is now August 2024 and a part for my Hyundai Veloster 2014 is still not available. For an issue that may cause a fire, or indeed any recall issue, this is way too long for a remedy to become available! This has caused considerable inconvenience: scraping frost and cleaning off snow, constant dirt, and inability to park in parking garages. Additionally, the additional wear will reduce the value of the car when I sell it.
Aug 24, 2024
The Hyundai recall doesn't fix the problem, which is the ABS Module leaks brake fluid internally which can catch fire. The claimed "fix" puts in a low current fuse that supposedly electrically will lower the risk of a fire when the ABS leaks brake fluid internally and shorts out the electrical power to the ABS Module. The problem is that the ABS Module can develop an internal leak which causes a short that fries the ABS Module and can cause a fire by igniting the brake fluid. The lower current rated fuse can still cause a fire, so I don't see the NHTSA Recall No. 23V651000 as a real fix. I want a replacement of the brake fluid leak-prone ABS Module in my 2014 Hyundai Veloster Turbo so I can safely use and park my car indoors without the potential of a fire while parked or driving. I have not experienced a fire in the recalled vehicle, but I think I am entitled to a proper "fix". I am an electrical engineer with an MSEE degree and many US patents. I have been greatly inconvenienced by following the recall warning to "park the vehicle outside (outdoors) away from structures". The outside exposure to hot temperatures, harsh sunshine, and salt air degrades the finish and mechanicals of my vehicle by following the recall warning. So Hyundai's faulty ABS Module costs me money (value of the vehicle) besides the risk and inconvenience. Make Hyundai really fix the problem by replacing the ABS Module as a minimum.

The climate control switch on my vehicle as well as many others has burned up the wiring that plugs into it behind the dash and started smoking and actually almost burned my car to the ground.

Driving on cruise control on interstate , the 2014 Hyundai Veloster felt like it lost power .The engine light flashed a few times . White smoke came out of rear as started to merge it made a low clank noise from the engine compartment . Pulled over off of interstate and popped hood to check the engine and realized there was fire coming from all over the engine . 2014 Hyundai Veloster financed not even made the first payment either. Had 120,043 miles on it . Dealership claimed that they did a recon on it before they turned it over to us . We did take it back in because the engine turned off as he was idling at stop lights. It was harder and harder to get started , it got to the point where it would stop running while moving . The dealership could not Replicate the problem and therefore turned it back over to us . Codes P0302 and P0335 came on . There were no recalls on the 2014 models but the year before and after . Doesn’t make sense , since they all had engine problems , catching on fire .

CAR SPONTANEOUSLY LOSES POWER TO ENGINE WHILE IN MOTION. WHEN STARTING THE VEHICLE, THE ENGINE SOMETIMES STRUGGLES TO TURN OVER AND DOES NOT CORRECTLY READ RPM AS THIS DIAL WILL READ 0 RPM EVEN WHILE IN MOTION. WHEN THIS OCCURS IT IS ACCOMPANIED BY DIFFICULTY ACCELERATING UPHILL AND BUCKING. ON 2/24/2021, WHILE DRIVING UP A SMALL HILL ON A CITY STREET, THE ENGINE SHUT OFF AND THE NO KEY DETECTED LIGHT TURNED ON. THE ENGINE TURNED BACK ON ABOUT 1 SECOND LATER AND DASH READ 0 RPM EVEN THOUGH THE VEHICLE WAS ACCELERATING. ON 2/25/2021 WHILE PULLING FORWARD IN A DRIVE THRU RESTAURANT LINE, THE VEHICLE'S ENGINE SHUT OFF AND THE NO KEY LIGHT, BATTERY LIGHT AND CHECK OIL LIGHTS CAME ON. I TOOK A PICTURE OF THE DASH AT THIS TIME. I TURNED THE VEHICLE COMPLETELY OFF AND RESTARTED IT. DASH CONTINUED TO READ 0 RPM BUT WAS ABLE TO ACCELERATE. I TURNED THE VEHICLE OFF AGAIN AND THEN RESTARTED IT A SECOND TIME AND THE VEHICLE THEN SEEMED TO BE FUNCTIONING PROPERLY FOR THE REMAINDER OF THE DRIVE.

THE FIRST ISSUE WAS THE CLUTCH. I WAS DRIVING IN CHARLOTTE, NC CITY TRAFFIC AND THE CLUTCH STUCK TO THE FLOOR AND MADE MY CAR STALL. I WAS ABLE TO PULL IT UP WITH MY FOOT AND RESTART THE CAR. I HAD NO INDICATION THAT THE CLUTCH WAS BAD. IT WASN'T SLIPPING AT ALL AND I HAD NO DIFFICULTY SHIFTING GEARS PRIOR TO THIS HAPPENING. THE NEXT ISSUE WAS THE ENGINE. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND IT LOST POWER. IT WOULDN"T ACCELERATE PROPERLY. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THE TURBO WENT FIRST AND THEN METAL FROM THE TURBO WENT INTO THE ENGINE AND RUINED THE ENGINE. THEY SAID THE CLUTCH NEEDED REPLACING. THE CAR DOESN'T EVEN HAVE 71,000 MILES ON IT. I WOULDN'T EXPECT AN ENGINE TO BE RUINED AT LESS THAN 71,000 MILES. I WAS TERRIFIED BEING IN TRAFFIC IN THIS UNSAFE VEHICLE WONDERING IF I WAS GOING TO BE HIT. THE ENTRANCE BELOW ASKS FOR A SPECIFIC DATE, HERE ARE THE OCCURRENCES AND DATES: JUNE 2019 CLUTCH STICKS TO THE FLOOR AND STALLS IN TRAFFIC SEVERAL TIMES. TAKE TO AAA AUTO SERVICES AS SOON AS IT HAPPENS AND THEY CAN FIND NOTHING WRONG. CONTINUES TO HAPPEN APPROX. ONCE A WEEK. SEPT 12 THE ENGINE STARTS WHINING, REVVING AND LOSING POWER ALL AT THE SAME TIME WHEN THE GAS PEDAL IS PRESSED WHILE IN TRAFFIC ON THE HIGHWAY SEPT 13 CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON AND NAV SCREEN STOPPED RESPONDING AND DOESN'T HAVE MUCH POWER SEPT 14 EVEN FURTHER POWER LOSS, SMOKE COMING FROM EXHAUST, CAR STALLS AND STOPS WHILE IN CHARLOTTE CITY TRAFFIC. TAKATA INFLATORS - FRONT AND READ DOOR LATCH MALFUNCTIONS, IE.: FRONT AND REAR DOOR OUTSIDE AND INSIDE LATCHES NOT RELEASING (OPENING) MANUALLY AND/OR ELECTRONICALLY WITH FOB RESULTING IN POTENTIAL SAFETY ISSUES. THE AUTO WAS PARKED AND DOORS LOCKED USING FOB. WHEN I RETURNED TO CAR, I PRESSED THE UNLOCK BUTTON ON FOB, HEARD THE CLICKING SOUND THE FOB MAKES WHEN THE UNLOCK BUTTON IS PRESSED; WE PULLED THE DRIVER SIDE AND BOTH PASSENGER DOOR LATCHES, THE DRIVER AND REAR PASSENGER DOORS DID NOT OPEN. MY GUEST TRIED TO ENTER THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR BY PULLING THE INSIDE LATCH, IT STILL DIDN'T OPEN. NEXT I PULLED THE DRIVERS SIDE DOOR LATCH FROM THE INSIDE, IT OPENED. I LEANED INTO THE CAR, TURNED ON THE ENGINE TO ROLL DOWN THE DRIVERS WINDOW TO ENTER THE CAR. I'VE TRIED REPLACING FUSE AND FOB BATTERIES, RESETTING THE LOCK/UNLOCK CODE AND NOTHING SEEMS TO WORK. CRAWLING OVER SEATS, ROLLING DOWN WINDOWS THE RUNNING AROUND CAR, AND LEAVING WINDOW OPEN ARE SAFETY HAZARDS. TWO NON-WORKING DOORS ARE SAFETY ISSUES AND NEGATIVELY IMPACTS MY CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE.

THE TAILGATE RELEASE PAD HAS TO BE PRESSED VERY HARD TO GET THE LATCH TO UNLOCK. WE BEGAN NOTICING THIS ISSUE AT CHRISTMAS WHEN WE WERE LOADING THE TRUNK FOR A TRIP HOME AND IT HAS PROGRESSIVELY GOTTEN WORSE. THERE WERE SEVERAL TIMES WHEN WE THOUGHT WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET THE TRUNK OPEN AT ALL WHICH WOULD HAVE MADE THE TRUNK COMPLETELY USELESS. I TOOK IT, TODAY, TO MY LOCAL HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP WHERE THEY CONFIRMED THAT THE PAD HAD COLLAPSED INSIDE OF THE SWITCH AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. DUE TO THE PART NUMBER FOR THE REPLACEMENT SWITCH/PAD INDICATING THAT IT WAS A RECALLED PART THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT DID A SEARCH FOR A RECALL OR CAMPAIGN ON THIS PART THEY DISCOVERED THAT THERE WAS A CAMPAIGN FOR THIS PART ON VELOSTERS WITH A MODEL YEAR OF 2015 AND 2016. I WANT TO REPORT THIS NOW ON THE 2014 MODEL YEAR VELOSTER TURBO AS THIS WAS AN EXPENSIVE REPLACEMENT THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN COVERED UNDER THE SAME CAMPAIGN AS THE 2015 AND 2016 MODELS AS IT IS THE SAME EXACT ISSUE ACCORDING TO THE HYUNDAI SERVICE DEPARTMENT.

Vehicle was in 5th gear when massive decelleration occured (55 mph to 20 mph).Engine started to stall out. Downshifted to 4th, 3rd, etc. Was able to pull over to breakdown lane. No warning lights in the months prior. Car seviced regularly. Had just passed state inspection two months prior (no codes in log), Hyundai dealer had addressed Campaign 966 a month prior (no codes in log), and then catastrophic failure of catalytic converter. Vehicle required tow to mechanic who stated "I've never seen anything like it. The cat was completely slagged out, like it must have been cherry red hot. Thank god it was freezing last night or the car could have caught fire." No CEL warnings at all on that night or any time prior. The car lost power gradually ;when I was driving ; We were on the freeway and I couldn’t continue driving 60 miles per hour , therefore I turned on the turn signals cause I just could drive at 35 miles per hour and the car just start shaking ; I just look for the next exit by the time We were on risk on the emergency lane for along time cause the next exit was to far from there .and the car was too slow ,when we finally got exit I call and I stop my car and call the mechanic to ask for help and he help me plug in the scanner machine to my car and there was a problem with some cylinders and one valve and I decided to called to the dealer to get an appointment:. My Vehicule already was checking for Hyundai but they just text me a message ; they said my car needs to replace a motor ,turbo ; some broken valves causing zero pounds of compression on cylinder 4-long block repair-new intake and exhaust manifolds (including turbo)required due to broken valve sending metal through the entire system -quote long block/intake and exhaust manifolds /turbo /all necessary gaskets and fluids for repair : I just was noted my car was consuming too much oil, cause the car board showed me 3 weeks ago and I need to add oil ,and the mechanic plugged in the scanner; but it doesn’t showed something else ;therefore 3 weeks ago I added 1/4 or more ; then was 2 week ago; I added 1/4 of oil again and then just last week I added 1/4 or more oil again ;I just was checking the oil constantly.; and it should be noted that the car was not leaking oil but I didn’t understand why it was running out so quickly .

There is a current recall since September, 2023, with no remedy to date. In addition, I have driven this vehicle very little after last having my car serviced at the dealership, just over a year now, which seemed to not be sounding right in the engine, so it alarmed me, and all started feeling overwhelming since going to the dealership for repairs. I see there is an engine recall on the 2015 Veloster, though not the 2014? Yet they are claiming that both issues can cause fires. My vehicle has less than 100K miles if I remember correct from when I last looked. it's been months since I've even driven the vehicle, as I've not felt safe or comfortable doing so. My vehicle seems to have a lot of the same symptoms as the 2015 Veloster recall. i have been nervous to take it back to the same dealer, though I've also been too nervous to let just any mechanic look at it. When the dealer last changed my oil, a bunch leaked out in my driveway, and I was told there's a safety overflow. In addition, my oil light came on, and I was simply told they forgot to reset it.

On March 8, 2023, I was waiting at a red light and since the weather was really nice, it was cloudy and not too cold I decided to open my sunroof and when all of the sudden I felt glass raining all over me, my sunroof exploded! I got little cuts over my face and arms because of the glass, and my back and arms felt itchy because of the tiny little pieces of glass. I was on my way to pick up the girls from daycare, I'm so grateful they were not with me at the incident moment and that the car was not on motion. Now, they are charging me over $1000 dlls on repairs. I just got this car less than 2 months ago, I barely pay my first payment and this happens!?

I purchased my 2014 Hyundai Veloster as a CPO back in January of 2018 with approximately 37k miles. Currently it has 95,637 miles. Within the first couple months of ownership, I noticed that the vehicle was sporadically acting up during acceleration (specifically when shifting between 2nd and 3rd gear). During this process it acts as if all of its power is shut off momentarily and then comes back on, which can potentially be dangerous when accelerating into high traffic areas, or busy intersections because not only does it lose acceleration power but steering as well. I brought it to the dealership right away, but because it never throws any trouble codes, nor does it happen on command - they cannot pin point the issue. Initially they changed the alternator. The second time, I believe, they changed the knock sensor or the Camshaft position sensor. In short, I’ve brought it to the dealership several times and have filed numerous complaints to Hyundai Consumer Affairs, but to no avail. Most recently (March 2022), it happened when both of my stepchildren were in the car while we were returning from the beach. I accelerated from a traffic light and was going around a bend when it happened causing me to slam into the curb and caused nearly $1700 in damage, which I had to pay for out of pocket because at this point it is out of Warranty- even though it’s been an ongoing issue pre-warranty lapse. Then to top it all off, I was leaving work this evening to go to an appointment and all of a sudden it began smoking from underneath the steering column. I quickly pulled into the turning lane and popped the fuse box lid open. Instantly I noticed that a wire harness was on fire, which luckily I was able to blow out after several attempts. I’m at my wit’s end with this car, with the dealership, and with Hyundai….. I need help and don’t know what to do!

THE AC/HEATER BLOWER MOTOR CONTROLLER IN THIS VEHICLE AND EVERY MODEL THAT SHARES THE SAME STYLE KNOB HAS A SERIOUS DEFECT. ALONG WITH THE FIRE HAZARD THIS PRESENTS IT ALSO EFFECTS THE USE OF DEFROST WHICH CAN BE A SERIOUS ISSUE IN SOME CLIMATES AND THE SWITCH MAY FAIL COMPLETELY RENDERING THE DEFROST FUNCTIONALLY UNUSABLE. ATTACHED YOU WILL SEE IMAGES OF THE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF THE SWITCH IN QUESTION AS WELL AS THE CONNECTOR FOR THE SWITCH WHICH HAVE SUFFERED SERIOUS HEAT DAMAGE. THIS IS A FIRE HAZARD. HYUNDAI CHOSE TO USE THE SWITCH ITSELF AS THE CURRENT PASSING CONDUCTOR INSTEAD OF A RELAY AS USED BY MOST MANUFACTURERS. THIS DECISION IS CLEARLY REFLECTED AS A NEGLIGENT ONE WITH REGARDS TO THE STRUCTURE OF THE SWITCH AND INCORRECT GAUGE OF THE WIRING USED FOR SAID SWITCH. WITH NORMAL USE IN ANY POSITION ON THE DIAL, THIS ISSUE WILL CAUSE THE WIRING OF THE CONNECTOR, AND THE INSIDES OF THE SWITCH TO OVERHEAT. THIS IS NOT A MATTER OF FUNCTIONALITY, THIS IS A MATTER OF SAFETY. WITH THESE LOW GAUGE WIRES BEING USED FOR THIS IT POSES A SERIOUS RISK OF FIRE. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED PHOTOS FOR EVIDENCE OF THE SWITCH AND CONNECTOR DEFORMATION CAUSED BY OVERHEATING. PLEASE BARE IN MIND THAT THE SWITCH COMPONENTS AND CONNECTOR APPEAR TO BE MADE OF PA6, A GLASS FIBER REINFORCED NYLON WHICH IS INTENDED TO STAND UP TO A GREAT DEAL OF HEAT. ADDITIONALLY THE WIRE WRAP (PICTURED BELOW) MEANT TO PROTECT THE WIRING ON THIS CONNECTOR FROM RATTLING IS MADE OF A CLOTH/COMPOSITE MATERIAL, WITH THE ABILITY TO MELT AND CATCH FIRE. THIS ISSUE IS A CONSTANT BEING DOWN TO THE WIRING. IN MOTION, STATIONARY, OR OTHERWISE HAS NO BEARING SO LONG AS THE CLIMATE CONTROLS ARE BEING USED. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME.

SOLD A 2014 HYUNDAI VELOSTER WITH GRINDING BRAKES, ACCELERATION PROBLEM, AND VIBRATION ISSUES. I WAS TOLD EVERYTHING WOULD BE FIXED. I RETURNED THE CAR WITHIN 24HRS. THIS IS ALSO DANGEROUS BECAUSE CARS ALREADY GOING 70MPH COULD OF HIT US WHILE TRYING TO GET ON FREEWAY. SOMETIMES WHILE GIVING THE CAR GAS IT WOULD JUST REV UP THE RPMS WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING. THIS ALSO SCARED ME INTO RETURNING THE CAR. I WENT BACK TO TEST DRIVE THE CAR TO SEE IF PROBLEMS WERE FIXED, AND THE MI GENTE AUTO DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THEY JUST REPLACED TIRES AND THAT FIXED THE PROBLEM. I PICKED PIECES OF SHATTERED GLASS FROM MY HAIR, SHIRT AND PANTS. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED MY INSURANCE COMPANY TO FILE A CLAIM, AND TOOK PICTURES OF THE SUNROOF. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO A STORAGE LOT UNTIL THE BODY SHOP WAS OPEN ON MONDAY. I REQUESTED FOR A LOCAL HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP TO LOOK AT IT FIRST BEFORE THE AUTO-BODY SHOP BECAUSE MY CAR IS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. A GENTLEMAN FROM DEALERSHIP'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT TOOK PICTURES OF SUNROOF AND SUBMITTED TO HYUNDAI ON 09/26 TO INVESTIGATE THE CLAIM. ON 09/28, THAT SERVICE ADVISOR FROM THE DEALERSHIP LEFT ME A VOICEMAIL THAT THE CLAIM WAS DENIED. I CALLED AND SPOKE TO THAT SERVICE ADVISOR TO OBTAIN A REASON FOR THE CLAIM BEING DENIED. HE SAID HYUNDAI'S INVESTIGATION REVEALED AN OUTSIDE INFLUENCE CAUSE THE GLASS TO BREAK, BUT I WAS PROVIDED WITH NO REPORT OR ANY OTHER EXPLANATION ON HOW THEY CAME TO THIS CONCLUSION. I SAW SOME 2012 VELOSTERS WERE RECALLED FOR SUNROOFS EXPLODING. IT'S A HUGE LIABILITY.

WHILE DRIVING AROUND 50 MPH ON A TEXAS HIGHWAY, THE TIRE SIDEWALL BLEW OUT ON THE FRONT DRIVERS SIDE WITH NO CAUSE, THE TIRES HAVE NEVER HIT A CURB, PROPERLY MAINTAINED. THIS ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. THE VEHICLE ONLY HAS 29K MILES AND HAS ROUTINE MAINTENANCE, ORIGINAL NEXEN TIRES. THESE TIRES NEED RECALLED, THEY CAR IS IN PERFECT CONDITION ONLY 2 YEARS OLD. THE CAR NOW HAS ALL PIRELLI TIRES AS THE CAR WOULD BE A HAZARD WITH NEXEN

I HAVEN'T HAD MANY TROUBLES WITH STEERING LIKE OTHERS HAVE HOWEVER I HAVE HAD PROBLEMS WHERE THE CAR DOESN'T IMMEDIATELY GO INTO GEAR. I CAN START THE CAR AND IT TAKES UP TO A MINUTE TO GO INTO GEAR AND EVERY ONCE IN AWHILE I HAVE THAT PROBLEM WHEN SWITCHING OVER NEUTRAL (IE. GOING FROM PARK OR REVERSE TO DRIVE OR VICE VERSA) ANOTHER PROBLEM I'M HAVING TROUBLES WITH IS THE ELECTRONICS. WHEN I GO TO BACK UP THE REAR CAMERA APPEARS FOR 1 OR 2 SECONDS THEN GOES TO THE RADIO. ITS NEARLY AN EVERYDAY THING. SOMETIME THE RADIO, DISCS, OR MEDIA PLAYER WILL PLAY MUSIC BUT WILL BE SILENCED AND I HAVE TO CHANGE THE MODE AND SWITCH IT BACK BEFORE IT WILL PLAY. HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE VOLUME I HAVE TRIED THAT. ALSO RECENTLY MY CLOCK HAS STARTED TO RESET EVERY TIME I TURN THE CAR ON. IT RESETS TO 11:10. EVERYTHING EXCEPT THE CLOCK HAS BEEN HAPPENING FOR MONTHS AND I CANT GET ANYTHING DONE UNLESS I PAY. WHICH I REFUSE BECAUSE IT SHOULDN'T BE MY PROBLEM.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 HYUNDAI VELOSTER. WHILE PARKED, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SHIFT INTO GEAR. ALSO, WHILE DRIVING, THE TRANSMISSION WOULD SHIFT OUT OF GEAR WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE TECHNICIAN DIAGNOSED THAT THE TRANSMISSION FAILED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,000.

I PURCHASED MY VELSOTER BRAND NEW WITH 33 MILES ON IT IN NOVEMBER 2014. IF FEB OF 2015 I STARTED TO NOTICE THAT THE FRONT END WAS SHAKING A LITTLE. I TOOK IT INTO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT AND GET AND OIL CHANGE. I HAD ABOUT 8K MILES ON IT. THEIR WAS A SMALL SCRATCH ON ONE OF THE RIMS ABOUT 1/2 LONG, BUT NOTHING THAT WOULD HAVE CAUSED THE AMOUNT OF SHAKING THAT WAS HAPPENING. THE SERVICEMAN SAID HE ROTATED THE TIRES AND THEIR SHOULDN'T BE ANYMORE ISSUES. WHEN I DROVE IT HOME IT WAS NOT ANY BETTER IN FACT I THOUGHT IT WAS WORSE. I TOOK IT BACK IN YESTERDAY TO FIGURE OUT WHY IT IS SHAKING AND HAVE IT FIXED. I WAS TOLD THAT THEIR WERE SEVERAL DENTS IN 2 OF MY RIMS WHICH WAS THROWING IT OFF BALANCE. I HAVE NOT HIT ANYTHING, I HAVE NOT DRIVEN AT SPEEDS OVER 50. THEIR IS NO POSSIBLE WAY THAT THESE DENTS HAPPENED DUE TO ANYTHING BEING HIT DURING NORMAL EVERYDAY DRIVING. THEY AREN'T LOOKING ANYMORE INTO IT AND WON'T FIX IT. I AM VERY UPSET THAT THIS HAS BEEN HANDLED LIKE THIS. THEIR IS OBVIOUSLY SOME SORT OF DEFECT OR SOMETHING WITH THESE PARTICULAR RIMS IF THEY HAVE DENTS IN THEM THAT HAVE BEEN CAUSED BY NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS. THEY NEED TO LOOK MORE INTO IT TO FIGURE OUT WHAT THE ISSUE IS BECAUSE I SHOULD NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR SOMETHING THAT I HAVE NOT CAUSED. *TR

I PURCHASED MY 2014 VELOSTER TURBO RIGHT OFF OF THE SHOWROOM FLOOR. WHEN I WAS DRIVING HOME , 90 MILES FROM THE DEALERSHIP, I NOTICED IT WAS REALLY HARD TO KEEP MY CAR STRAIGHT IN THE ROAD. I PHYSICALLY HAVE TO FORCE MY CAR TO STAY STRAIGHT ON THE STRAIGHTEST HIGHWAYS. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP THE NEXT DAY AND IT WAS FOUND TO BE OUT OF ALIGNMENT . THEY ALIGNED IT, ONLY TO EXPERIENCE THE SAME ISSUE DRIVING BACK HOME. I HAVE NOW HAD MY VEHICLE IN TO 3 DIFFERENT HYUNDAI DEALERSHIPS AND HAVE RECORDS OF THE ADJUSTMENTS. IT IS STILL NOT ALIGNED MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO DRIVE SAFELY . AT 5K MILES WE WERE DRIVING ON A ROAD TRIP AND HAD BEEN DRIVING ALL DAY. WE WERE GETTING BACK ON THE INTERSTATE AND MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT STARTED FLASHING AND MY CAR STARTED SLOWING DOWN EVEN THOUGH I WAS TRYING TO ACCELERATE . IT CLEARED UP AND I DROVE A FEW MORE MILES WHEN IT ACTED UP AGAIN, THIS AT 65 MPH. SAME ISSUES FLASHING LIGHTS, SLOWING FROM 65 TO 30 AS MY CAR FELT IT WAS NOT GETTING ANY POWER. I WAS ABLE TO REPORT IT TO MY BLUELINK, ALTHOUGH IT DID NOT SHOW ON THEIR END. THIS HAS BEEN CHECKED SEVERAL TIMES BY HYUNDAI , ALTHOUGH THEY ARE NOT ABLE TO DETECT OR DUPLICATE THE ISSUE. IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN TO ME. I AM TO THE POINT WHERE I AM FRIGHTENED TO DRIVE IT ANYMORE. NOT ONLY FOR MY SAFETY BUT FOR OTHERS AS WELL. I HAVE A TOTAL OF 7 SERVICE RECORDS WITH NO ANSWERS EXCEPT , IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN COME RIGHT IN AND HOPEFULLY THE COMPUTER WILL TELL US. THE ALIGNMENT WAS DONE 5 TIMES AND TOOK IN 6, ALTHOUGH IT IS STILL ALL OVER THE ROAD. THE ANSWER I GET FOR THE ALIGNMENT NOW IS, " CUSTOMER MAY ALSO NOT BE USED TO ELECTRONIC STEERING SYSTEM". I AM A 43 YEAR OLD MAN THAT HAS BEEN DRIVING FOR ALMOST 30 YEARS. I HAVE ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH ELECTRONIC STEERING THAT DRIVES STRAIGHT ON THE SAME ROADS. THANKS FOR YOUR TIME... *TR
