How to read a Hyundai Entourage VIN — every digit explained

Every Hyundai Entourage carries a unique 17-character VIN stamped at the factory. Each position is a code — together they spell out where, when and how your car was built. Here's exactly what every digit means.

What's wrong. Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (Hyundai) is recalling certain model year 2007-2008 Hyundai Entourage vehicles manufactured from February 16, 2006, through June 30, 2008 and sold in, or currently registered in, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Wisconsin, Connecticut, Delaware, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Maine, Minnesota, Missouri, New Jersey, Ohio, Rhode Island, West Virginia and the District of Columbia. In the affected vehicles, the front lower control arms may fracture due to corrosion resulting from exposure to road salt and water.

Risk. A fractured control arm can result in the loss of control of the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix. Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the degree of corrosion of the front lower control arms, and will either rustproof or replace them, free of charge. The recall began on January 3, 2014. Owners may contact Hyundai at 1-800-633-5151 or by email at [email protected]. Hyundai's recall number is 115.

In September 2013, Hyundai informed the agency that it was adding more vehicles to this campaign, representing an additional 652,512 units. The total number of vehicles being recalled is now 1,712,336. In the affected vehicles, the stop lamp switch may malfunction. A malfunctioning stop lamp switch may cause the brake lights to not illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed or may cause an inability to deactivate the cruise control by depressing the brake pedal. Additionally, a malfunctioning stop lamp switch may also result in intermittent operation of the push-button start feature, affect the operation of the brake transmission shift interlock feature, preventing the shifter from being moved out of the PARK position and cause the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) malfunction light to illuminate.

Risk. Failure to illuminate the stop lamps during braking or inability to disengage the cruise control could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, when the ignition is in the 'ON' position, the transmission shifter may be able to be moved out of Park without first applying the brake. This may lead to unintentional movement of the car which may increase the risk of a crash.

Fix. Hyundai will notify owners, and dealers will replace the stop lamp switch, free of charge. The safety recall began on April 22, 2013. Owners may contact Hyundai at 1-800-633-5151. Hyundai's recall campaign number is 110.

We bought a new hyundai entourage in 07 the front tire will not hold air. The key less remote entry has been replaced and is still not working. The van was in a accident involving a pole. The van was going about 35 slide on ice and smashed the hole front end of the van. The airbags didn't deploy but the light for the airbags is on. Possibly indicating they did deploy but didn't. We think this could be all electrical. Someone for hyundai motor america will be out to look at the van in 45 days. We would like the van totaled. Due to not feeling safe with the airbags. *tr

2007 Entourage

The valve over eventually leaks oil that drips down on to the alternator. This cause the electrical system to fail, the battery and brake lights come on. Then slowly all lights come on as battery shuts down. This is a known issue with this engine. This happened to me yesterday while driving at night leaving the car unable to drive. When the battery completely shuts down you cannot even move the vehicle out of Park, as electric is needed to disengage the the shifter from park, so you cannot even push the vehicle off of the road. Hyundai has a recall for the exact same engine in the Veracruz. Here are two videos showing issues. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RSLmj8Gqc1Q https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9Q78so3GPI https://www.carproblemzoo.com/hyundai/entourage/engine-oil-leaking-problems.php The VIN was not included in NHTSA campaign number: 14v415000 (engine and engine cooling).

2007 Entourage

Minivan was parked at night in our home garage and spontaneously went on fire. All recommended factory maintenance was always performed. No recall for our vehicle existed. Significant risk to property and loss of life. Pushed it out of garage to save family and home.

2007 Entourage

Driving a 2007 hyundai entourage van on the morning of december 30, 2011 we came to a stop for a red light. My foot was still on the brake pedal when two seconds later we were reared ended by another vehicle that was traveling at approximately 45-50 mph. My spouse and i experienced severe whiplash. The driver of the vehicle that crashed into us claimed she never saw our stop lights. After the incident, i discovered there were two recalls for our van (06v356000 & 09v122000) related to intermittent brake light switches. We purchased the entourage in 2009, but never was told or notified of either recall. Although the other driver was a fault, i believe that she may have been telling the truth about not seeing the brake lights. There are other recalls on the 2007 hyundai entourage since then (13v113000 and 13v556000) but we received a notice of either. I plan to submit a separate complaint regarding the other recalls issues. What worries me is that were are not told about or receive recall notices or defective part issues. I'm guessing that nhtsa/odi would receive more complaints, but people are not aware of the shady non-disclosure practices of dealerships. There are other issues that i haven't submitted, but will talk with you about if you so desire. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 hyundai entourage. While driving at various speeds, the rear passenger side door independently unlatched and opened independently without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was repaired; however, the failure recurred while leaving the dealer. The manufacturer sent an engineer who decided to replace the entire door. In addition, while driving, all the interior and exterior lighting failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failures. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 6,000.

Tl*the contact owns a 2008 hyundai entourage. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 55 mph, the engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the wiring harness failed causing damage to the transmission. As a result, the wiring harness was replaced and transmission was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and stated that the vin was not included in nhtsa campaign number: 06v356000 (electrical system). The approximate failure mileage was 67,000.

Dash 'engine light' activated, check by dealer revealed transmission issue. Trany solenoid and wire harness need replacement. Dealer or hyundai motor would not include wire harness in warranty though it was stated it shorted and caused malfunction. The complete cost of repairs should be covered under 10 yr / 100000 warranty. Note: refer nhtsa electrical harness recall, #06v356000. This covered 07 vehicles, which is when my vehicle was built. This the 2rd time my. Rear sliding door flew open while on highway with my grandkids in the car .majority of the times the rear sliding doors will not open the buttons do not remotely open the sliding doors and the sliding doors get stuck .its really dangerous because if my grandkids are back there a danger breaks out they are most likely not to survive .

2007 Entourage

Driving approximately 56-57 mph down a state route rd when the hood came unlatched and flew up and shattered the windshield and breaking the hoods hydraulic lift arm. I found out the hood latch was recalled by hyundai prior to this happening and we didn't know. Hyundai was contacted and they are refusing to assist with getting the vehicle to the dealership and telling us that they are only responsible for the hood latch and not the other damage that was caused by the hood latch failing while driving.

2007 Entourage

I was driving the speed limit when all of sudden my hood flew up, smashed my windshield, thank god i was able to pull over and no one was hurt but, my hood was crunched and my windshield shattered, set up an appt. With hyundai dealership as they told me the latch for hood had been recalled. On my way home stopped for gas, pulled in behind a man with his young child in a car seat when the van just started to accelerate, i couldn't stop, even holding both feet on the brake peddle, my husband reached over and turned the van off. We slammed into the back of the car with the baby in it, again, thank god no one was hurt but had these been different circumstances who knows what would have happened. Have no idea what caused the van to accelerate, and am really afraid of driving now. *tr

2007 Entourage

Coming into my driveway, which i had done thousands of times before, pushed the open button on the van's mirror, my foot on the brake waiting for the garage door to open, my daughter to get out. However, before she could remove her seat belt, the van lunged forward with such speed, we were both screaming in shock. It smashed thru the garage door lunged with such force tearing down the closet in the back of the garage, running over lawn mower and power tools, and smashing everything in its path. My daughter, who is a professional driver, slammed it into park, and i turned off the key, still in shock. My foot felt like it went thru the floor i was on it with such force. My husband heard the crash (he is nearly deaf)so he rushed to pull me out as i was stunned, my daughter got out, called 911 as she smelled gas. The fire dept came and turned off the gas, did a meter reading and there was no natural gas leaks. In all my 60+ yrs of driving all types of vehicles, all over the world, my husband is retired military, i have never had anything like this happen. We were planning on packing the van to leave on a trip, if i would have been on a hwy or school zone or at a busy section of town, i shudder to think what would have happened, perhaps we would have been killed or worse, others would have been injured or killed. I've driven with the same insurance co. For 59 yrs and have a super good driving record, to this day, i can not get into a car or van and drive...this has really made me realize, that cars/vans are unsafe today. When my husband talked to our mechanic's, they told him, it happens often, that a garage door opener can set off the electronics in a van or car and it will lunge forward out of control. Omg something needs to be done to make them safer not more gadgets. *tr

Drivers sliding door will not latch completely when it closes. You have to open and close door a few times and then it may latch worried door might open while driving and not sure if there was ever a recall that was missed on this van. The vehicle was in motion when this occurred

2008 Entourage

From day 1 of ownership passenger power doors at different times would not open, took to dealership but was told they could not find a problem, can not open doors from inside van, now passenger door driverside will not open even if u try from outside, i was told it needed a motor, which is $800.00 without labor, so we believe it is safety issue, if in accident passengers can't get out of van, at times running down interstate at 70 mph the buzzer comes on telling us the door is open

2008 Entourage

After closing passenger side slider door several times, it suddenly opened again without pushing the ceiling button ....on its own and i had to force it shut physically. The vehicle was in park but engine was idling

2008 Entourage

Side slider doors no longer open manually using internal or external handles. Regardless of center pillar "power switch" setting above the mirror - the only way they open is using the key fob or the "open/close" switch also above the mirror. This is a very concerning human safety issue. In an accident situation - someone may not able to get out of the vehicle. Tsb-09-be-024 may be related.

Vehicle in motion and van out of control related to the corrosion of control arm. Children (3) in the car. Recalled 2007 and 2008 vehicles! Why not mine? Live in nebraska with salt-infested roads and this van has many issues! My vin number not associated with the recall which is completely unfair. Have put so much money in this vehicle which will not run. The dealorship wants to charge me 2700.00 to fix their error in manufacturing! Not to mention the tires, electrical, latches! I paid 29,000. For this vehicle and it is the limited edition, the best they offered. They have made so much money off of us and do not stand by their vehicle. My mom was killed by a faulty airbag that should have never of went off! I am so angry as well as broke. Why or how can this even happen? What can i do when i have no money left as well as a vehicle? They find every reason not to fix. I need help, not sure what to do next or what my options are.

*tr

The ESC off warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The contact's daughter was able to slowly drive the vehicle home despite the failure. The contact then test drove the vehicle and experienced the failure. The contact entered his driveway and noticed that the front driver’s side tire had detached from the vehicle. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 13V556000 (Suspension) which he linked to the failure. The manufacturer had been notified of the failure and the contact was provided a case number. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 135,000.

The contact had learned from hyundai of perryville (343 n perryville rd, rockford, il 61107; (815) 229-0089) that the vehicle previously received a protective coating on the lower control arm to prevent excessive rust in 2014 under nhtsa campaign number: 13v556000 (suspension). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 120,227. Invalid vin.

Backing out of my driveway and my van started making a loud thumping noise. I was not able to go forward or in reverse. Looked underneath and found the driver's side lower control arm corroded and disintegrated, and the axel had come out of the transmission. There was a recall in 2014 for corrosion but all they did was spray something on that was supposed to protetct it. It did not work. If i had been anywhere other than my driveway it could have been an extremely bad situation as i lost control of my steering. I had it towed to the dealer today and they want $878 to replace the two control arms (with after-market parts).

2008 Entourage

While turning left at an intersection, i heard a loud bang and lost steering control. I pulled over to the side of the road and called for a tow to my mechanic. The passenger side front wheel was displaced, the 2 front wheels were not parallel and the wheel had hit the front bumper cover causing it to come loose. The tow driver noted that the lower control arm snapped. Front passenger wheel was hitting the front bumper cover as it was pulled onto the flat bed. I called hyundai corp and local dealer on following day (monday). I tried to get direction regarding inspection of vehicle. Since an additional tow could cause more damage; i asked if hyundai could inspect at the local shop. I could not get any direction on how to get the car inspected. On the 3rd call i was advised that safety recalls are only covered for 1 year after the recall service. When i asked if i needed to contact nhtsa, jack indicated that since i mentioned nhtsa he is required to pass the case to a sr hyundai representative and that i would receive a response very soon. I have not received any return call or other communication from anyone at hyundai corp or the local dealer. The attached pics show the front passenger side lower control arm corrosion and failure. The recall service performed in 2014 was obviously not adequate. The sudden loss of control was a horrifying feeling. I am hopeful that nhtsa will take appropriate action so that others are not continued to be put in peril. I understand there have been numerous other occurrences of lower control arm failure in vehicles that were serviced under the recall. Note that my vehicle was serviced for the recall at freehold hyundai shortly after i received notice.

I was taking my family for shopping, and after my kids (5 kids) were seated in the car and making sure the seat belts was worn. I walked to the driver door to start the car and drive to the destination; a thick white smoke was coming out of underneath the engine hood even though the car's engine was still off! I was shocked and didn't know what to do first! Should i safe my family and help the kids to run out of the car or check the cause of the fire! Since i am an electrical engineering and have experience with cars, i knew the problem was an electrical problem and if i unplug the battery this should solve the problem faster! With a lot of smoke, i was able to unplug the cables of the battery. Then, i did help my kids to get out of the van' they were very scared and didn't know what to do and how to help! I checked on the car and i did find the smoke was less and after couple minutes stopped completely. Situation could be worse than that, the van was full of gas parked in middle of other 4 cars, 15 ft from our homes. I did see the anti-lock brake (abs) module was burned-out! I did order a used abs module from ebay (see attached file) and replaced the old one. Unfortunately, it did not work! Many lights in the dashboard appeared (break, abs, engine) and lost some functions of the driving like cruise and smooth engine sound! After visiting many local repairers, i did call the local dealer and asked for new module and got quote on new abs module (part only costs about $2500). After about a month from the accident day, i received a recall letter from hyundai company in usa with two recalls in which one of them said abs module may short circuit an electrical short within the abs module may cause an engine compartment fire, even when the car is turned off, increasing the risk of an injury. Contacted the company but they did not solve my problems.

Our vehicle has been for repairs to columbia hyundai in montgomery, ohio four times in less than two years. The main culprit that has been the primary reason for these service repairs has been the cam phasers. This time, most recently, 16 mar 2016, i was informed by the service department that the cam phasers were in need of replacement once again. This also required the timing chain and tensioner to be replaced which is in line with the continued issues with the cam phasers ongoing issues. Additionally, i was informed that the oil control valve needs replaced. This is significance because the manufacturer has known of this issue since it put out a technical bulletin in may 2009. The total cost of repairs is nearly $1,300 including hyundai refusing to cover the cam phasers, despite this being less than one year from the last date of replacement by columbia hyundai. Today, i was forced to drive my vehicle home despite breaking down without even having left the dealership lot. The van broke down several more times on the way home and within less than a mile from the dealership. I forced the van to drive despite the check engine light flashing as previously reported to the dealership and despite the hard rough idling and tremendous loss of power that nearly resulted in a head on collision between myself and another vehicle at a nearby intersection. This has gone on long enough and despite hyundai's efforts to assist us by covering the repairs the first time, refunding me the amount that i was charged the second time due to fighting over the timing of the incident. The third time this happened the dealership covered the cost, but took so long for the repairs and it still resulted in the cam phasers being diagnosed a fourth time as needing replacement. This time hyundai refused to do any services and wanted to charge nearly $1,300 for the total repair costs!

My wife and i first brought our vehicle to columbia hyundai/acura in montgomery, ohio for a severe loss of power while she was driving. The incident nearly caused my wife and children to be rear-ended while trying to accelerate to highway speeds, which is 65 mph, here in the greater cincinnati area on interstate 275. Hyundai did warranty the work performed by their service shop at columbia hyundai, but only after it was revealed to me that the hyundai warranty only applied to the original owners. This was not something i was aware of and even the sales manager at jake sweeney used cars and i commented on how great this warranty was for me and my family because hyundai stands by it. Well, they did not want to honor any of it until i illustrated that this was a defect in their vehicle and asking me to pay the costs of the repairs and associated repairs was ridiculous. The issue involved the cam phasers of the engine and were repaired along with other parts and a recall item addressed. Not less than one year ago, prior to my family and i going on vacation, we brought the van back for the same reason, although i did not notice any hesitations, the mechanic who test drove it did. It was the cam phasers once again. This time hyundai only was willing to cover half of the repair costs, which left me with nearly $1,100 in total costs for a rental vehicle, fuel and the costs of parts and labor. This deeply affected our finances and nearly cancelled the vacation to florida i had been saving up for well over a year. Having no choice, i paid the costs, and took possession of the van after paying. I had not even left the dealership driveway when the check engine light came back on! My son was in the car with me and i have video of this occurring. The issue with the power loss happened again and still occurs today as recently as a few days ago with my wife & children in the van!

The dealer says this happens when the gas cap is not on properly closed. The check engine light comes on and the esc light comes on. This causes the car to lose power and almost stall. This was in 2011 3 months after i purchased the car used from the hyundai dealer second hand. Last week it happened 3 times. I was at a stoplight and when i started up the check engine light went on and the esc light came on and i suddenly i lost power confusing the cars behind me. Also known as doing a macgyver on it), or repaired my electronic stability control (esc) system in a manner inconsistent or contrary to hyundai motor america manufacturer specifications. The hyundai dealership intentionally and purposefully used parts that would fail and put my safety in question. While driving up an incline the vehicle began to make a grinding noise. Shortly thereafter the car began shaking, with the check engine and esc lights both coming on, then a sudden stoppage of acceleration, and then engine shut down while the vehicle was still in motion. This caused the immediate loss of steering and the brakes to go soft. The vehicle sat for 10 minutes before re-starting; however, after driving approximately 100 feet, the car once again made the grinding noise, engine and esc light illumination, shaking, and then shut down. This is the third time since purchasing this vehicle in march of 2008, that the engine has stopped working while driving. The dealership has replaced a throttle sensor twice, the last time being october 18, 2009, and it is currently in the shop again for the same problem. This is just one of several ongoing problems and concerns with this vehicle. Most notably outside of the sudden loss of power and engine shut off described, the brakes have been checked on several occasions for noises, violent shaking, and loss of function to which the dealership states that they are not worn or warped or this is normal for this vehicle. The tires have no grip and spin on both dry and went road conditions making sudden acceleration impossible and dangerous.the vehicle has also been checked for the lack of gas mileage approximately 13 mpg city and 16 mpg highway, well less then the 19/21 on the sticker. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2007 hyundai entourage. While driving various speeds, the vehicle suddenly shut off and the electronic stability control and tire pressure monitoring system indicators illuminated. The vehicle was taken to capitol hyundai(2820 eastern blvd, montgomery, al) for repairs, but the failure recurred. No diagnosis information was available. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the transmission, but the failure continued. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 35,000. The vin was invalid.

2007 Entourage

While driving to work yesterday morning, i was turning off a side road onto a main road. As soon as i turned on to the main road the van sounded like maybe it had a flat, it did not. Both esc lights came on and stayed on. The steering and braking was erratic and there was no pick up. I could not get the wheels to turn the same direction as the steering wheel for a short period of time moving into on coming traffic. Luckily i was able to get short period of control, enough to barley turn into a parking lot. I am so fortunate this didn't happen on the highway at 55mph or could have been horrific. I did call hyundai and there are several recalls for the van including the front control arms. I asked if they can tow to the nearest dealer considering i just avoided an accident and had no control. Hyundai will not tow to the dealer. They did offer to reimburse me if i tow it, but that does not help me currently. This is a very serious situation and needs to be rectified by hyundai before a driver is not able to avoid an accident due to having no pick up or control of the steering.

2007 Entourage

Control arms rotted out and while i was driving. I was doing 25 on a side road when the vehicle started to slide and was unstoppable. I had to put the vehicle into park while it was still moving to get it to stop. When the tow truck driver and police arrived they said the control arms rotted out and snapped. Had i made the left to go down the hill they said i would have ended up in someone's house. The car seat driver side mounts are snapped as well. *tr

2007 Entourage

As i was pulling out of a parking lot, the esc light came on steady and there was no power/pickup when depressing the accelerator. Top speed may have been 10mph. I was able to get the car off the road without incident as it was early in the morning. This is a known problem that presents a safety issue but has not been recalled (see hyundai technical service bulletin 10-fl-010 for specifics). A loss of ability to accelerate when trying to join traffic could increase the chance of an accident and should be a general recall for replacement at hyundai expense. *tr

In very cool weather (30 degrees or lower ) sliding doors freeze shut, can t open from out side or inside this has happened before 2/2011 some part was replace ia was ok until now. Is this a safety issue ? I feel that it maybe what happens if someone has to exit fast ? *tr

2007 Entourage

The brake lights of my 2007 hyundai entourage do not illuminate when the brake pedal is depressed. Also the electronic stability control (esc) light won't go off, and the cruise control will not engage. Contacted hyundai customer assistance, little to no help. They confirmed the online alldata repair notice that said there is a recall for this vehicle with the exact problems. However, they couldn't tell me if repair was covered under recall. They suggested i contact local dealer and have car diagnosed at my cost. *tr

2008 Entourage

Tl* the contact owns a 2008 hyundai entourage. While driving at various speeds, the rear passenger side door independently unlatched and opened independently without warning. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was repaired; however, the failure recurred while leaving the dealer. The manufacturer sent an engineer who decided to replace the entire door. In addition, while driving, all the interior and exterior lighting failed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failures. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 6,000.

2008 Entourage

While driving on interstate 40 in memphis, tn, approximately 2:30 pm on march 07, 2014, the esc indicator light became illuminated on the dash-board. My attempts to extinguish the illuminated esc light numerous times failed to reset or extinguished the esc light. Upon arriving home about 3:30 pm, i parked my 2008 hyundai entourage, turned-off the engine and restarted the engine. The illuminated indicator esc light did not inappropriately illuminate. I inspected the exterior lights only to learn all of the rear lights were still illuminated with the engine turned-off and in park. My efforts to turn-off the rear lights failed. I was instructed to disconnect the positive battery terminal and bring my 2008 hyundai entourage in for inspection and repairs at a hyundai dealership. After i reconnected the battery cable on tuesday, march 11, 2014, the esc indicator light reappeared (became illuminated) again. After another hyundai motor america dealership inspected and repaired my 2008 hyundai entourage, it was learned that the previous hyundai dealership performing the "recall and repair" mechanical work, "jerry-rigged" (to fix an object (usually mechanical) to a working condition in a haphazard way. Also known as doing a macgyver on it), or repaired my electronic stability control (esc) system in a manner inconsistent or contrary to hyundai motor america manufacturer specifications. The hyundai dealership intentionally and purposefully used parts that would fail and put my safety in question. In view of how i was treated by professional staff at that dealership during my seven (7) hour ordeal, i believe the dealership's action was an act of purposeful sabotage and criminal negligence, designed to put my personal safety in question. *tr

2008 Entourage

2008 hyundai entourage front headlight (head lamp) melted (both the driver's and passenger) side of the vehicle. Repair requires a new head lamp assembly including bulbs. Dealer estimated cost of repairs $369.00 each ($738.00), $55.00 each side for labor ($110.00), plus taxes. I estimates cost of repair approximately $1,000.00, depending of the state of tennessee taxation policy. *tr

2007 Entourage

We purchased our 2007 hyundai entourage in 2015 and 2 months after we bought it both doors motors stopped working. The driver side passenger door will only open about 10 to 15 inches. We've had to use the handles to open both door and the handles broke. I can only assume that they broke because they were not made to be used since the doors are supposed to be used with a remote and are motorized. We've also had to replace our head lights and back lights about 6 to 8 times that's more than i've changed any lhead lights on all my vehicles in my entire 44 years of owning cars. This vehicle has had 6 recalls since we purchased it in 2015. Please just recall and replace the whole vehicle to make up for how poorly this vehicle was made and thrown together. Ty *tr

2007 Entourage

When i researched the recalls for the hyundai entourage 2007 i found a recall (internal recall campaign 110) and when i called i was informed that my van was not part of the recall, even though i am having the exact same issues listed on the recall, intermittent operation of the push-button start feature, affected the operation of the brake transmission shift interlock feature, preventing the shifter from being moved out of the park position and cause the electronic stability control (esc) malfunction light to illuminate.they were unwilling to assist me in fixing this issue and told me that i would have to pay out of pocket to fix the problems. 2007 hyundai entourage service brakes, hydraulic:switches:brake light, exterior lighting:brake lights:switch nhtsa campaign #13v113000. *tr

2007 Entourage

Turn signal intermittent/total failure, symptoms are typically seen when a bulb fails. Replacement bulbs do not correct issue as this issue is related to a faulty bcm (body control module). Vehicle doesn't use a relay style signal indicator system. Note: that the rear turn signal blinks fast during failure. Multiple forum post state that it can appear on either side. *tr

2007 Entourage

Driving down the road and when letting off the gas and vehicle starts slowing down head lights , brake lights, inst. Panel light, radio would cut out for a second or two and come back on. Started off doing it 1 a week , a couple days , now it does it constantly when car is slowing down. Don't go off while at idle. Other drivers flash their lites at me or blows their horn' especially cars that are following me. *tr

2007 Entourage

Noticed cruise control was not activating and then not deactivating when manually braking. Upon arrival at destination, when engine was turned off, brake lights are remaining on and draining the battery. Unable to get the lights to turn off. Been having intermittent occurrences of esc indicator going on at inappropriate times and remaining on. During those times, vehicle feels as if brakes are being applied even while i am attempting to accelerate on a straightaway. Vehicle seems to be so slow as if brakes are engaged. Found that stopping the vehicle and turning off the ignition completely will sometimes reset the car. Hyundai customer care was awful!!!! Said the stoplampswitch on my vehicle has already been replaced through a previous recall so they cannot replace it again even though the exact same problem is still occurring again. They want me to take it to the dealer and pay for the diagnosis and replacement of the same part and problem! I've done that twice before (paid for diagnosis of faulty sliding doors which is why i came in to begin with) only to be told the erratic automatic sliding side doors will cost me $600 each to be fixed. Unacceptable customer service. Doors should open and close but we have had to live with non-working doors for over 5 years because hyundai would not fix them for free as that was not a recall issue for them. Shameful service. *tr

2007 Entourage

Brake lights failed due to a faulty stop switch. Seems similar to issue found/covered by campaign 110. *tr

2007 Entourage

Driving home last night my esc off/on light came on. I didn't know what this meant, but kept driving. Upon arrival at home my brake lights would not come off. The only thing that would make them go off is disconnecting the battery cable. Upon further test the brake lights stay on while driving as well so the individual behind me would not be able to tell whether or not i was about to stop. I called the dealer and the 800 number in regards to a recall that i saw on the nhtsa website that may be related to the issue and they say my vehicle is not impacted by this recall and that i need to take it in to the dealer. The issue seems amazingly similar to the 2009 recall. *tr
