How to read a Infiniti Q60 VIN — every digit explained

Every Infiniti Q60 carries a unique 17-character VIN stamped at the factory. Each position is a code — together they spell out where, when and how your car was built. Here's exactly what every digit means.

1–3 · WMI4T1
4–8 · VDSBF1FK
9 · Check5
10 · YearH
11 · PlantU
12–17 · Serial123456
  • WMI (1–3) — country & manufacturer. 4T1 = Toyota, built in the USA.
  • VDS (4–8) — model line, body style, engine & restraint system.
  • Check digit (9) — a math check that proves the VIN is genuine.
  • Model year (10) — the year it was built. H = 2017.
  • Plant (11) — which factory assembled this Q60.
  • Serial (12–17) — the unique sequential production number.

Model-year code (10th digit)

The 10th character is the model year. It cycles through letters and numbers, skipping I, O, Q, U, Z and 0 to avoid confusion:

H2017 J2018 K2019 L2020 M2021 N2022 P2023 R2024 S2025 T2026

Where to find your Q60 VIN

  • Dashboard — driver's side, visible through the windshield from outside.
  • Driver's door jamb — on the manufacturer sticker when you open the door.
  • Paperwork — vehicle registration, title and insurance card.
  • Engine bay & frame — stamped on the firewall or chassis on many models.

2021 Q60

The contact owns a 2021 INFINITI Q60. The contact stated while driving approximately 15 MPH, the vehicle shifted into limp mode. The contact stopped the vehicle and had the vehicle towed to a local dealer. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was diagnosed with needing ECM replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the issue persisted. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but was unable to assist. The failure mileage was approximately 20.

2021 Q60

I was driving the car at approximately 75 mph down the highway. Several warning lights came on in the dash including the crash sensors, and the car lost all power. I was able to safely pull the car over to the side of the road. I tried to restart the car with no success. Once the start button is pushed, the car makes a clicking noise but the engine does not turn on. The only way to get the noise to stop is to push the start button again. At this time, the car will not start. It was towed to infiniti dealership, and has been there as of today (03/23/3021) for 15 days. Neither the dealership, nor infiniti north america have been able to give me an update on what is wrong with the car, or when i will get it back. They can not diagnose the problem.

2018 Q60

The vehicle was subject to an active manufacturer safety recall involving the oil pressure control system and diagnostic trouble code P06DA, which requires inspection and replacement of the Engine Room Sub-Harness if the condition is present. The defect was confirmed by an authorized dealer, DTC P06DA was verified, and the Engine Room Sub-Harness was replaced in accordance with the recall remedy instructions. However, the manufacturer failed to fully remedy the recall, as the consumer was required to pay a significant portion of the repair cost out-of-pocket. While the manufacturer provided partial reimbursement, the remaining balance was charged to the vehicle owner despite the repair being performed solely to address a safety recall condition. Requiring consumer payment to obtain a mandated safety recall repair does not constitute a complete or timely remedy under recall obligations. This complaint is submitted to document the manufacturer’s failure to fully comply with safety recall requirements and to seek appropriate oversight and corrective action.

2018 Q60

On Feb 5, 2025, I received written confirmation from Infiniti Consumer Affairs (Case #[XXX]) that my vehicle was eligible for recall repair. However, on Jan 27, 2025, my Infiniti dealer (Stevens Creek Infiniti) informed me that Infiniti had denied the recall, despite this being necessary for California emissions compliance. This contradicts their initial confirmation and leaves me unable to legally smog or register the vehicle. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2018 Q60

The Infiniti Q60/Q50 has issues with the accessory belt. The belt is known to break without any warning or major signs of wear and tear. When the belt breaks it makes the car difficult to drive and poses a safety risk. This issue affects the 2017-2022 models. When the belt break it causes additional problems such as faulty water pumps, and engine over heating leading to major engine problems. These cars should have been recalled years ago. Drivers on social media have reported the problem with less that 10000 miles and up.

2017 Q60

Subject: Safety Complaint: 2017 Infiniti Q60 - Recurring P052E Fault (Engine Shared with Mercedes) Vehicle Information: Make: Infiniti Model: Q60 Year: 2017 Engine: (Insert Engine Size, 2.0L) Incident Details: Code: P052E (Crankcase Ventilation Valve Performance) Symptoms: Check engine light, strong burnt oil smell, rough idling, low engine output/lack of acceleration. Problem Description: "I am filing this complaint to report a recurring, serious defect in my 2017 Infiniti Q60 regarding the PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) system, throwing OBD-II code P052E. The vehicle experiences severe loss of power while driving, rough idle, and a strong odor of burning oil inside the cabin, which poses a fire risk and inhibits safe operation. It is well-documented that this vehicle utilizes an engine manufactured/designed in collaboration with Mercedes-Benz, and a recall exists within the Mercedes community for this exact code (P052E). However, Infiniti has not issued a corresponding recall, leaving owners of this shared-engine vehicle to pay for repairs on a known manufacturing defect. Given the severe symptoms and the recognized safety hazard of this defect by other manufacturers, I request an investigation into this safety issue

2017 Q60

Engine threw a main bearing around 80 thousand miles in 2023, car was not modified other than different muffler on the back and aftermarket wheels and tires which has nothing to do with the engine. Car had oil changes every 3500-4500 miles with MOTUL full synthetic oil. No engines lights were given, car was taken to a Nissan dealership as manufacturer warranty was expired, my extended warranty was fidelity and they declined due to these aftermarket “changes” dealership gave me a quote over 25k dollars which is what I paid for the car in 2019. I understand it’s a luxury brand but these engines are well known for these issues and nothing is done other than some warranty extension for failing turbos which are also terrible and I believe to be the CAUSE of this thrown bearing, I have owned so many Nissans and will most likely never own another after this mistake. Still love the car but the people that buy these deserve better for the cost. The car is currently sitting in a garage because the cost is absurd.

2017 Q60

Car malfunction light comes on spontaneously and runs rough and losses power and rpm can go to 4 at 35 mph and usually happens when car is idling parked for a little while. Them I cut it off and let it sit it goes back to normal. I also had prior problems with it smoking from tailpipe and it’s documented at dealership in Columbia SC and they said it wasn’t smoking enough to replace the turbos at the time but I got a notification from manufacturer about turbo malfunction.

2017 Q60

Ac compressor seems is out of alignment. Infiniti requires customers to perform technical supply bulletin to align ac compressor at owner expense. If a drive belt breaks will driving it can cause collateral damage to engine components ans pose a safety risk to the passengers. Many vehicles affected.

2017 Q60

1. The engine and turbos failed making the car un-driveable. 2. My safety was put at risk because I had to immediately pull my car off the road in fear that my car would completely fail or catch fire. 3. Yes 4. There were no warnings prior to the failure. It failed out of nowhere. Proper maintenance was done.

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 infiniti q60. While driving approximately 60 mph, the contact drove over black ice and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle struck the median on the highway. None of the frontal or side air bags deployed. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed by the insurance company to a body shop. The contact was taken to the hospital by a family relative, treated for his injuries, and released. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The approximate failure mileage was 3,900. *dt

2020 Q60

Airbag sensor light has been On/Off. After a passenger is seated on the passenger side, light goes off. A day or two later, light comes back on.

2018 Q60

In-dash airbag light stays on as well as the passenger side airbag. Took the vehicle to Infiniti dealership who recommended to change the OCS Unit and OCS Sensor which costs over $18,000+. Of course, the vehicle in question is not in warranty and we are not going to pay for the repair due to the fact cost to repair is equivalent to the value of the vehicle. This is a safety hazard and have looked at Infiniti forums with my model having the same issue. A disaster waiting to happen with airbag not deploying when front passenger is sitting there in case of an accident. This should be a mandatory recall! It appears Infiniti have had similar issue with other models. 2018 Q60

Hello, I purchased my Infiniti Q60 Red Sport brand new in 2028. About a year after that I started to have electrical issues with the car. I've brought it in to the Infiniti dealer in Valencia, CA numerous times during the warranty period (and a few times out of the warranty period), to have these issues addressed. Some were resolved and some were not. So In the past 4-5 years I've brought my vehicle in about 15 times or more to be fixed. The latest issue is a safety problem. About a week ago I noticed that the passenger seat belt sign on the dash does not come on when a passenger is seated without the belt engaged (normally I get a red warning sign that the seat belt is not buckled for the passenger). At the same time I also noticed that there's a red airbag indicator light that stays on at all times while driving. I brought the car in to the dealer again to have it diagnosed, but the service advisor stated that it will be $235 to diagnose the issue, and that more than likely I have to replace the whole seat for $3,500 or more, because the sensor is part of the seat. So to replace the sensor they have to replace the whole seat. I can not afford to pay thousands of dollars for something that is not wear and tear, nor abuse on my part. It seems to me that this should be covered my the manufacture, especially since the issue is safety related. I would greatly appreciate any help that you can offer. Thank you

Tl* the contact owns a 2018 infiniti q60. While driving 45 mph, the passenger side air bag deployed without warning or an impact occurring. The passenger seat was not occupied at the time. The vehicle was taken to infiniti of bakersfield (5200 gasoline alley dr, bakersfield, ca 93313, (661) 617-2020) where the contact was informed that there was a small tear in the plastic splash guard underneath the vehicle, which could have triggered the air bags to deploy. The dealer stated that the repair would not be covered under warranty. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 37,100. *ln *dt*jb *dl

2017 Q60

The automobile has 24,000 miles on it and the sensor for the passenger seat airbag is defective. To repair this, the passenger seat track has to be replaced, at a cost of $8200.00. This is a major safety issue for this automobile.

2017 Q60

Infiniti called me on 05/08/24 to discuss and review Infiniti Case # [XXX] including Infiniti’s subsequent refusal to remedy a defective SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) sensor on my 2017 Infiniti Q60 with 54,100 miles (VIN: [XXX] ). This defect was confirmed on 05/07/24 by Infiniti of Melbourne Florida through an authorized technician. While I am the original owner of the vehicle, Infiniti stated they will not provide any financial assistance to rectify the issue because the vehicle is outside of the manufacturers warranty, while acknowledging that there have been numerous customer complaints related to this problem and that Infiniti has been aware of defective SRS parts effecting a critical safety device that renders the air bag system inoperable. Moreover, to repair such a deficiency, based on Infiniti’s design, the entire seat must be replaced costing over $8K, an exorbitant and onerous amount, often more than 50% of the vehicles value. This excessive financial charge has deliberately burdened Infiniti owners with a safety related component. For several years this issue has been recurrently discussed on multiple public forums and yet Infiniti has intentionally decided not to remedy this safety issue or provide any assistance or consideration to its customers. I’ve attached an Infiniti forum link (one of dozens) proving that Infiniti has known about this problem going back over a decade and failed to take any action and instead prolonged a predatory pricing scheme that is harming owners. [XXX] ) As a result of Infiniti’s complete intransigence on a safety related matter, the National Hwy. Traffic Safety Admin. (NHTSA), should compel Infiniti to remedy this situation. It’s hoped that Infiniti will take immediate action to correct this situation and not abandon its owners in an untenable, unsafe and unjustifiable predicament. Sincerely, [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

2017 Q60

OCS passenger seat weight sensor failed. Dealership verified this. They say to repair will be $8000 to replace whole seat. This is a common problem with hundreds of complaints mentioned on online forums. There was a recall for this issue on prior year Infiniti models but that recall doesn’t include newer than 2016. Infiniti refuses to replace under warranty. (They replaced the driver seatbelt retractor assembly under warranty, but won’t repair the airbag issue). The weight sensor does not register that someone is sitting in the seat.

2018 Q60

I was driving on the freeway saw something on my lane so i try to avoid it by changing lane but my wheels locked and power steering sign came on so i ended up driving over an object. I forced my wheel to the emergency lane safely after vehicles zooming by me on both lanes and to a complete stop. Shut the vehicle off, exited the vehicle to see scratches on my bumper. It was rather hard for me to force the wheel due to my medical disability from the military. I didn't do a full inspection so went back into my vehicle turned the car on and the sign went away so i kept driving to my destination. While driving my vehicle didn't feel the same it kept steering to the right. The next couple days i get in my car started driving but it kept steering to the right so i stopped the vehicle and checked again to see that i had a flat tire running on run flats and scratched rims. So i take the car to the nearest dealership to find out that the car was on recall on january 18, 2018 and i had leased this car on march 21,2018. The dealership then told me they can fix the power steering problem and my tires but the scratches on the rims was my fault and i had to pay out of my own pocket. Remind you this vehicle was titled new with 14 miles to start off with when i leased the vehicle. The car never warned me of a flat tire or low tire pressure also a glitch in the system while on reverse. The reverse camera monitor will black out. Faulty back up camera.

2017 Q60

I got in an accident while visiting colorado with my son on 7/15/2018 i was driving from boulder to denver passing through broomfield on hwy 36. The rental car that i picked up which was semi-random as i belong to hertz president circle - they have several cars to choose from as you get off. Since my son was with me we picked the coolest looking car (bad mistake on my part - but it was for just 3 days) - it ended up being the infiniti coupe q60 2017. Unbeknown to me at this time it has adaptive steering technology. There were no instructions or information on this feature. This feature did not become apparent until the rain on that sunday 7/15/2018. As i was driving through the mountains from nederlands to boulder to denver i did notice some strange steering movements from the car, but i managed. Then while driving down hwy 36 ' i was planning/wanting to shift from the far lane to the middle lane when the steering twitched on me and put me into what i describe as hydroplaning ' then it steered me far right into the guard rail. The good things is the safety features in the car allowed my son and i to come out unharmed also i avoided hitting anyone other than the guard rail. After the accident i did some research on the car and did find another person noting a similar issue but they were able not to hit anything. I went ahead and posted my own review to substantiate his review (both can be seen - https://www.edmunds.com/infiniti/q60/2017/consumer-reviews/) the fireman at the scene did note my tires were not at the best levels - but the technology that involves steering should be able to handle all types of conditions else there needs to be a turn off feature that is obvious. I have a clean driving record. I got into an intersection accident back in late 90's and do not have a speeding ticket since the early 90's.

2018 Q60

Something is malfunctioning in the steering of this car...About a month ago I was driving my car and noticed it would not accelerate, it kept stalling but not shutting off, as well as it was swerving on it's own with the slightest bumps in the road, and I am not able to control the steerring. I called the service dept. at Colter Infiniti in Mesa Az where I purchased it and they towed it to their service center. They said that the battery was dead which caused the CAMS malfunction, they replaced the battery(infiniti battery) fixed the CAMS and I picked up my car. At first it seemed to function normally, the next day I drove to work and noticed it still swerving whenever I would drive on any uneven pavement or try to switch lanes and have to cross over any bumps, the car will oversteer. This happens at speeds higher than 35-40 mph however, It happens under 35-40, but is controllable... I also took it to another Infiniti dealer Infiniti on Camelback, and they checked everything and said I should lower the tire pressure, I lowered them to 31(35 is recommended) and it still continues. I have checked car forums and they are saying it could be the Direct Adaptive Steering(DAS) , I asked the service department at Camelback to check that and they said they ran all tests and couldn't find a fault. No warning lights or codes come on, and dealer can't find the fault. I believe this issue is a computer failure and it will not throw a code since it is not a part or mechanical issue, it is computer issue. I also asked them to reset my computer and they said that wasn't necessary. I have reported this issue with Infiniti Consumer Affairs, I feel this car is a danger if i drive faster than 35-40 mph as it becomes uncontrollable.

2018 Q60

There seems to be an issue with my 2018 Infiniti Q60 and I am not the only one. My allignment is perfect and my tires are new but the vehicle still tends to wander on the freeway which feels very unsafe and dangerous. I have spoken to others with this vehicle and they also have the same issue. Nobody can figure out what it is but it makes the car very uncomfortable to drive because you are constantly trying to steer the car back in its lane. Please do a recall in this vehicle before somebody gets seriously hurt out in the road. This is the Luxe 3.0t edition and Ive heard the same complaints on the Sport model aswell. We know for a fact that a new vehicle like this, especially stock with very low miles should not drive like this. This is could be a huge potential liability to the Nissan/Infiniti company.

2018 Q60

Loss of steering control while driving 2018 infiniti q60s red sport. After a search online, i found that this problem has been predicted with the drive-by-wire or steer-by-wire system. (direct adaptive steering system) mileage at time of event approx. 2,252 miles. Dry roads, no rain, overcast, about 70 degrees. Speed at time of steering failure between 65 and 70 mph. Road straight. Driving in right lane of three lane, same direction traffic. Steering suddenly and immediately changed from normal to what initially felt like both front tires completely flat. Quickly realized it was not flat tires but rather a sudden and complete loss of steering control. Much worse than flat tires. Warning light on dash. I had almost no reaction on the steering wheel. Once parked, i turned the car off and waited a few seconds and turned it on again. Warning light off. I moved the car and it behaved normally. As if it never happened. . I have experienced loss of power steering. This was far worse. With normal loss of power steering, in my experience, you have a heavy and sluggish response to steering. But it is a response, nonetheless. Unnerving, yet you do not feel a complete loss of control. In this situation, i did not know if i would be able to effect the car at all. It was very different than loss of power steering. It was a complete loss of control. If this failure had happened in most any other driving condition, it may very well have resulted in a catastrophic event. If needed, i would not have been able to make any evasive moves. The recall states: "may cause the warning lamp to illuminate and the eps to go into fail-safe mode and increase driver steering effort." this statement grossly understated the danger. I doubt i could have navigated in any condition besides straight road. There is a far more serious problem here.

2018 Q60

I leased an infiniti q60 on december 9, 2017. On december 15, as i was driving the car, the steering became extremely tight and the power steering warning light came on. I pulled over, turned the car off and back on and the steering was fine. I drove the car a short distance home and had it towed to the dealer. At that time the car had approximately 450 miles on it. The dealer replaced the entire power steering system and returned the car to me on december 30, 2017. On sunday, january 7, 2018, my daughter took the car. She was about 3 miles from home when the steering again became difficult and the power steering warning light came on. She pulled over but left the car running. Coincidentally, the same tow truck driver came and also confirmed that the power steering warning light was on and the steering wheel was impossible to move. After he shut the car off and turned it back on, everything was normal. The car was towed back to the dealer and i am waiting to hear from infiniti regarding the problem.the car now has less than 750 miles on it. I have video and photos of the light and steering wheel on my phone. I used my tablet to file this complaint.

2018 Q60

My car is brand new and was purchased on 12/26/2017. 12/27: after a 3+hour drive w/ 350~ miles on the car at this point, an indicator light with a steering wheel and exclamation point lit up the dash and the steering wheel locked up and became extremely hard to turn. I pulled over turned my car off and waited about 5 minutes and crank it back up and the light was gone. 1/5: approximately 650+ miles on the car it happened again- steering got extremely tight and hard to maneuver, i pulled over and repeated the same off/rest/on process!!! It happened 3 more times in the course of that hour. Infiniti sent a tow truck to pick it up on 1/5 from my home and still have not been able to replicate or get some resolve on the issue. I am frightened because i was truly blessed to be in an area each of the 5 times to get to safety. That may not always be the case. I am even more mortified that my car siena even have 1000 miles on it and it's causing a severe issue already. The service team at infiniti of tampa are working diligently on it but as of yet have not been able to figure a solution which is more petrifying.

Tl* the contact owns a 2017 infiniti q60. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel would drift causing the vehicle to veer into oncoming traffic. The contact stated that the vehicle failed to drive straight. The contact also stated that the alignment off. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to passport infiniti of alexandria (160 s pickett st, alexandria, va 22304) where it was diagnosed however, nothing was replaced. The contact replaced all four tires and wheels however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure but offered no solution to the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 2,500.

Car constantly pulls to right or left side . If i am not holding the steering wheel firmly it will drag me to either side . I've contacted the dealer was told all q60s do this for some reason. I explained i am afraid i can have an accident due to this unsteadiness.

2017 Q60

The evening of April 17th, 2022, I started experiencing an issue with my vehicle. My car started making a fluttering noise it sounded like someone was shuffling a deck of cards and the RPMs would get to 3 during acceleration then drop and I’d lose power. There were no warning lights present, no notification or indicators on my dash, no odors, and no smoke emitting from my car. I parked my car at home not knowing what the issue was or where the noise was coming from. The next morning, I called to schedule an appointment and I booked with Infiniti in Timonium. After scheduling my appointment, I went out to check my car and when I started it the noise was still there. It ran for a few seconds then my check engine light cut on. Looking to get a pre-diagnosis to have additional info about the condition of my car I take it to Autozone on liberty road to have codes pulled. The codes that came back were P0014 and P0024 both camshaft codes. However, there were still no other symptoms of odor or smoke just the fluttering noise and now my check engine light. On the way back home my car stalls at Liberty Road and Rolling Road and won’t cut back on. I contacted AAA and had it towed to Infiniti the same day. I was assigned to [XXX] as my service advisor. The car was at Infiniti in Timonium for close to a month when [XXX] reached out to notify me of the presence of sludge and metal shavings in my oil pan and my engine being seized. He was adamant that it came from a lack of maintenance. I was using my third-party warranty and they requested that I send proof of maintenance. I submitted my maintenance invoices to Sean, and he forwarded them to my Warranty Company. I provided invoices for my last 3 oil changes. I wasn’t due for a fourth for another 6-700 miles. I bought my car at 35,796 miles and I’m currently at 70,042 (42 miles out of the power train warranty). I followed manufactures 10k guideline. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. INFORMATION Redacted PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

Initial fault was no cabin heat. Service department determined coolant was low. Coolant system passed pressure test. Coolant was found to be leaking into cylinders past head gaskets. After head gasket replacement, engine broke down on highway and car was towed to dealership. Catastrophic overheat damage in lower end. Engine long block was replaced to correct. Multiple identical/similar occurrences reported on infinitiq60.org. Failure is normally failed head gasket or porous engine block. 2017 models especially affected. Infiniti consumer affairs completely unresponsive if vehicle is outside powertrain warranty. Safety at risk due to potential engine failure and vehicle stoppage at any time. No indications received at any time indicating failure. Temp gauge never indicated spike or failure. Only indication was lack of cabin heat, but coolant was basically empty. The problem was reproduced by dealer after servicing coolant and seeing subsequent engine internal consumption of coolant. Vehicle was inspected by Infiniti service department and MPP third-party warranty company. All vehicle service records since purchase are available.

2017 Q60

I recently have bought this car. I had heard an issue with the Serpentine belt/Tensioner and the belts where making a chirp during 1,500- 3,000 rpm. I took it into the dealership 10 days after I bought it while the vehicle was still under factory warranty and they said they inspected the belt system and could not replicate the issue. Later in the year I was able to get a video of the vehicle making the noise and called and scheduled another appointment. After I made the appointment I started researching online I came across I was not the only Consumer having issues with the Serpentine belt/Tensioner and Infiniti put out a Service Bulletin # ITB17-004 in regards to this issue. Looking at the bulletin I discovered that my vin fell in that spectrum of vin related to the service bulletin. I was able to get my car fixed the tensioner and serpentine belt got replaced with my extended warranty. Infiniti would not fix my car because it was past the time period on the powertrain warranty even though my my car only had 36,000 miles when I first discovered the issue. I understand the difference from a service bulletin and a recall. But I want to report this issue because there is obviously a quality issue with these serpentine belts and tensioner in specific to the 3.0 twin turbo engine that could cause a safety issues for consumers. I am advocating for other consumers and their safety because if this serpentine belt and tensioner where to fail while in motion making the car stall and over heat while on the road this could cause sever danger to patrons of the highway and could result in death. This service bulletin issue needs to be turned into a recall.

I had my Q60's oil changed at my local Nissan dealer, who provided a courtesy car wash, after which my back up camera screen went blank and my driver side camera was unreadable with fluorescent coloring. Nissan rep and supervisor had no explanation why those 2 cameras failed and referred me to an Infinity dealer. Both cameras needed replacement at a cost of $4,359.27. Infinity denied liability for camera failures despite Internet confirmation that such camera failures on Q60's are "not uncommon" (Google AI search result, attached) and that recalls of both Nissan and Infinity automobiles due to camera issues are ongoing.

2019 Q60

Screen in vehicle goes black which disables rear camera visibility, which is a safety hazard. This happens in motion or when at a stop. This is known issue going back to 2017 with infiniti and they have done nothing to resolve the issue. I am told by the dealership they can't replicate the issue. They don't need to replicate it, it is a known issue that has been ignored by infiniti.

Back to dealer and found a defective battery and replaced, again. 2 months later same problem. Back to dealer and requested a parasitic draw test....negative. Same problem again, went to dealer and they suggested to disable remote start. Dealer has no clue what the problem is. This all happened in 2018 to present, 2021.
