How to read a Infiniti QX50 VIN — every digit explained
Every Infiniti QX50 carries a unique 17-character VIN stamped at the factory. Each position is a code — together they spell out where, when and how your car was built. Here's exactly what every digit means.
- WMI (1–3) — country & manufacturer. 4T1 = Toyota, built in the USA.
- VDS (4–8) — model line, body style, engine & restraint system.
- Check digit (9) — a math check that proves the VIN is genuine.
- Model year (10) — the year it was built. H = 2017.
- Plant (11) — which factory assembled this QX50.
- Serial (12–17) — the unique sequential production number.
Model-year code (10th digit)
The 10th character is the model year. It cycles through letters and numbers, skipping I, O, Q, U, Z and 0 to avoid confusion:
Where to find your QX50 VIN
- Dashboard — driver's side, visible through the windshield from outside.
- Driver's door jamb — on the manufacturer sticker when you open the door.
- Paperwork — vehicle registration, title and insurance card.
- Engine bay & frame — stamped on the firewall or chassis on many models.

Engine 89 Read
While driving, the vehicle will decline in acceleration and you can not increase acceleration. When turning the vehicle off, the car will proceed at a slow pace. Infiniti dealer told me that i needed to let the car warm up for 30 minutes. The engine makes noise as if the vehicle is in neutral. At times, once taking your foot off the brake pedal to switch the gas, the car will take off from under your foot. While driving, the car will come to a complete halt as if it was approaching a collision. All emergency indicators will go off. The car must be turned off to return to driving. Vehicle has been serviced by infiniti, where diagnostics are ran but does not register an issue. Last servicing, the service man told me to just call consumer affairs, but consumer affairs asked for a claim number which i did not have. On april 28th, the vehicle was making a left turn and flipped upside down to the right. Nothing was hit for the cause of this accident. All airbag deployed but the steering wheel and rear airbag. Steering wheel was locked to the left and could not be moved. Vehicle was declared totaled. Due to covid-19, the vehicle has been driven four times since ny declared a shelter-in.*dt*jb*dt *tr*jb
The contact owns a 2019 Infiniti QX50. While the contact's son was driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine seized with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact stated there was smoke and fire coming from the engine compartment. In addition, the smell of burning oil and smoke was inside the vehicle. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed with engine failure. The contact was informed that the independent mechanic was not an engine expert and recommended that the vehicle be towed to an engine expert. The vehicle was towed to an alternate independent mechanic, where the vehicle was diagnosed with total engine failure. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The engine was replaced with a used engine. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (Engine and Engine Cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact submitted a claim for reimbursement for the repair. The contact was required to submit several documents, including a printout of the repair. The contact was informed that the report needed to include the engine failure code and engine report for the request for reimbursement. The independent mechanic was contacted by the manufacturer and the manufacturer received verbal confirmation of the repair; however, the manufacturer insisted on printed documentation of the repair. The failure mileage was approximately 98,500.
so after my initial report about my engine catching fire on the highway, I received an invoice for $5,000 for a used engine with 80k miles on it; plus another $2800 for the service fee. I already put down about $3900 for the engine repair. The mechanic sent me pictures of the engine with the holes on it that caused the damage (or the holes might have happened during the fire). I’m attaching photos sent to me, from my mechanic, showing the holes/damage on the engine, for your consideration and a photo of the initial repair bill (including receipt of my deposit) for your review … also, I still need to pay another $4300 to pick it up, but he said my check engine light is still on due to a transmission, that may be related to the valve body failing. What are these qx50s still being sold?? On the car forums and YouTube, there are so many issues with the engines and the transmissions (including the 450k that are currently under investigation). And their consumer affairs dept is extremely hostile about the situation, when you call into the infiniti office/headquarters. These defective engines/ transmissions need to be recalled, as soon as possible. They’re extremely dangerous and Infiniti is not taking responsibility for the problem. Why is the govt not intervening on behalf of the infiniti owners??
The engine blew up on the expressway. And this has happened for many other qx50 drivers.
There are 2 check engine codes that came up as an issue for my vehicle, out of the blue: P0720 and P0500. I reached out to my mechanic and he couldn't fix it. So my plan was to take it to the dealership at the end of this month; however, while driving the vehicle back from my sister's house, the bottom of the car caught on fire and I had to pull over to jump out the car with my children. Called 911. The police and fire dept came, but the fire had gone out by that time, so the officer had the vehicle towed off the highway. Looked into the issue online and apparently it's very common. One Infiniti dealership said that he fixes about 30 per month. Why didn't Infiniti issue a recall for this very serious, hazardous situation? Where is their due diligence to fix this problem for their customers? Why are they letting so many vehicles fail? What happened to reasonable due care? Is it not enough that they are aware of this issue and won’t recall it, but what about the physical danger that they are putting us in? And the emotional distress they caused my children, having to jump out of their vehicle on a highway in the middle of the night? Doesn’t Infiniti have a minimum safety requirement of due care to mitigate hazards for its customers?
Vehicle purchased from dealer 3/5/25 (brand new). Noticed struggle to start/shaking vehicle/weak power, within first week. Malfunction indicator light came on 4/15/25, brought into dealership for testing. Data showed fail/pass misfires upwards of 30 times. Diagnosed as fuel injector pump misfire. Part was replaced and picked up the vehicle 5/8/25. Vehicle misfired again on 5/9/25. Brought into dealership for further testing; service advisor stated that the misfire was "likely due to air in the new pump." Noticeable misfire again on 5/27/25, no malfunction indicator light came on, notified service advisor. 5/30/25 vehicle misfired significantly, malfunction indicator light came on again, brought in for service. 6/11/25 service advisor stated they are doing a "pin fit repair" to refit all the connector pins for the ignition coils. I don't feel safe in this car. It's brand new, and should perform as such. When it misfires, I can barely drive past 30mph. It shakes violently, and I don't know whether it is safe to be driving it. Dealership doesn't seem to understand what the actual problem is.
Engine bearing failures, sudden loss of power, stalling, or complete engine failure — creating crash risks.

This is the 3rd instance of my car rolling backwards down the driveway. Both the first and second instances of uncontrolled rolling happened in 2016. Only the second instance was caught on camera. I shared the video with Infiniti and was instructed to bring the car in for an inspection. I went in for the inspection in December 2016 and they reported that there were no issues (despite video evidence). Today, December 2, 2022, the car (while gear shifted into park) again rolled down the driveway, across a street and hit my neighbor's house. This was all caught on video as well. I posted the video on the manufacturers social media site. See below for the email I sent to the dealership after they contacted me. I've also uploaded the videos to YouTube because they're in MP4 format and I'm unaware of how to convert them to the format required for this submission. The titles of the videos are: Infiniti QX50 Rolling Backwards December 2016 and Infiniti QX50 Rolling Backwards December 2022. Both were published today, December 2, 2022.

A fire spontaneously ignited while the vehicle was turned off and parked in the owner's garage. The fire apparently started in the vehicle's infotainment system. The fire melted all electrical components of the infotainment system and spread throughout the vehicle to the driver and front passenger seats and the front console and dash of the car. Large amounts of soot and debris were deposited throughout the interior of the vehicle. Fortunately, no one was present in the vehicle during the explosion and fire. However, our family was inside the house attached to the garage where the vehicle explosion/fire took place. I immediately contacted the Fire Department when I discovered the fire, and they quickly disconnected the battery and moved the vehicle from the garage. The vehicle was towed to the INFINITI dealership on Burnet Road in Austin, TX where the vehicle is currently located. My insurance carrier, Progressive, inspected the vehicle and determined it to be a total loss. I contacted the INFINITI corporate investigations team in order to provide them an opportunity to inspect the vehicle and determine the cause of the incident. This representative shirked INFINITI's responsibility for the fire and stated it would take 7 to 9 weeks before an INFINITI representative would inspect the vehicle. I deeply want to learn the root cause of this incident to prevent it from happening again. I am angered and saddened by INFINITI's lack of responsibility or care for this grave danger. My insurance carrier will not pay for a rental car for another 7 to 9 weeks. INFINITI should be able to inspect this car imminently, yet refuses to do so. There were no prior warning signs of any risk of explosion/spontaneous combustion/fire. This risk was never presented to me when purchasing the vehicle. Had it been, I would not have purchased the vehicle. We hope the NHTSA can investigate this issue to prevent it from occurring again and hopefully hold INFINITI accountable

The system falsely beeps and displays collision alerts even when no vehicles or objects are present. The system has also initiated braking on the highway with no obstacle present, which is a major safety concern for me and for other drivers. Conversely, when an actual vehicle approached too closely, the system failed to alert or respond at all.

The blind spot warning would not function properly continuously. The car was taken into the dealership multiple times, it was assessed by "engineers" 3 times, and it had a total of 3 infotainment systems in this vehicle with 2 replacements since leasing the vehicle. These issues continue to remain and there seems to be nothing that Infiniti can or will do to fix these issues permanently.
The vehicle has experienced ongoing electrical and safety-system related malfunctions shortly after being purchased as an INFINITI Certified Pre-Owned vehicle in April 2025. The issues initially included flickering interior and exterior lights, intermittent door lock malfunctions, and other electrical irregularities. In June 2025, I received notification through the INFINITI app regarding a major engine recall involving engine bearing failure concerns affecting my vehicle. I brought the vehicle to Harte INFINITI for inspection regarding the recall and my electrical concerns. During that visit, dealership personnel acknowledged there were multiple vehicles experiencing similar engine bearing issues related to the recall. Despite my concerns, I was told the vehicle was “safe to drive” because no diagnostic codes were present at that time. The problems continued to worsen over time. On February 26, 2026, during a routine oil change shortly after expiration of the basic warranty, I was presented with approximately $2,600 in recommended repairs despite previously being told there were no issues with the vehicle. Most recently, the vehicle developed Forward Emergency Braking (FEB) malfunction warnings and Lane Assist malfunction warnings involving critical driver assistance and collision-avoidance systems. These warnings raised serious concerns regarding the safe operation of the vehicle because they involve systems designed to help prevent collisions and maintain vehicle control. I was concerned that these systems could fail unexpectedly while driving, potentially increasing the risk of an accident or injury to myself, passengers, or others on the roadway. The vehicle was returned to the dealership for inspection, where I was presented with an additional repair estimate exceeding $4,600 along with diagnostic charges. Despite the active safety-system malfunction warnings, I was again advised that the vehicle was safe to drive.
I purchased my vehicle 4.25. soon after I noticed lights flickering. I was notified shortly after my car was part of the major recall. I brought it in, they said no engine bearings, car is ok, they did not acknowledge the lights because there was no code. I was due for an oil change a few months later and the dealer gave me a 2600.00 estimate for repairs. soon after the FEB light and the lane assist malfunctions. emergency brake malfunctions are DANGEROUS AND UNSAFE .I have made numerous calls to infiniti in the meantime to initiate a buy back. I take the car to Infiniti, now i have. 4376.00 estimate.I have only had this vehicle 13 months. it was a CPO. They assume no responsibility and refuse to buy back. There are numerous complaints with the 2021 qx50 all are the same. This vehicle is not reliable, this company is not reputable. something needs to be done. my car has visited the dealer 3xs and everytime , more money. they know this is a problem- I am now stuck in a vehicle that was sold knowing it was not reliable or safe
The front passenger door latch seems to go off and say that the door is open and the alarm goes off in the car so in the middle of the night, the alarm will start ringing and then when driving in the car, it constantly beeps and says the door is open when it’s closed. Sometimes you can’t open the door.

The contact owns a 2023 Infiniti QX50. The contact stated while driving 28-29 MPH at nighttime, she noticed an animal in the roadway and decelerated. The contact stated that while the vehicle was approximately 2 ft. away from the animal, the vehicle made a loud sound, and the hood popped up and partially covered the windshield. The contact veered to the side of the road. The contact stated that she sat on a pillow in the front driver's seat, and she was able to drive to her residence at low speed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer the following morning. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle was designed with the Pop-Up Engine Hood For Pedestrian Protection feature, in which the pedestrian safety sensor in the bumper, signaled the hood to pop up while the vehicle was near the animal on the road. The dealer informed the contact that the vehicle operated as designed and charged a repair fee for the hood pistons replacement. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and sent a field technician, who diagnosed the vehicle and informed the contact that the vehicle operated as designed. However, the contact stated that based on the Owner's Manual, the feature was designed to pop up the hood in the event of a frontal collision with a pedestrian. The contact stated that the vehicle had not collided with the animal. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 5,200.

The contact owns a 2021 Infiniti QX50. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle experienced phantom braking. There was an unknown message displayed on the instrument panel. The failure had occurred twice. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who informed the contact that the failure was a known issue; however, there was no repair available. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the windshield had previously been replaced, but was installed incorrectly, which could have caused the failure. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000. The VIN was not available.
I received the recall notice approximately 2 weeks ago, the notice state “parts are anticipated to be available beginning in Q4 2025” so I did not schedule for an inspection. This morning, 09/16/2025, I was unable to accelerate after being stopped at a traffic light. I was able to get to a parking lot to have my car towed to an Infiniti Dealership/service center for $260 at their recommended tow provider. After calling the service department to inform them of my vehicle arrival, I requested they run diagnostics for the recall I had received regarding my engine. I received a call shortly after they received my vehicle informing me the diagnostics test would be $250. I agreed and after several calls with no answers I get informed my engine has failed, it is not due to the recall and my cost will be $12,100 for replacement of my engine. I was later informed they had not investigated the recall at all and I would need to sign forms for this. I feel Infiniti of Orlando is not willing to honor the recall repair and looking to take my money for the $12,100 engine replacement.
While driving on the highway and having no visible vehicle in front of me; my car automatically slams on the breaks and the Emergency Braking system light comes up on the dashboard briefly and then disappears. This has occurred multiple times while driving on highway speeds. It is concerning because there has been no evident or visible vehicles in front of my vehicle when my car abruptly slams on the brakes. To me this is a safety concern. I had mentioned this concern to the service advisor at Infiniti, but he said it would cost approximately $200 just to diagnose it. My vehicle is currently at a Infiniti dealership. They found a lot of metal debris inside the oil pan.
3 separate accounts of automatic braking (phantom braking ) has occurred on the last year and electronic emergency brake would not engage 3 times in one day. Worried about rear end collision due to my car braking on its own. Brought to an infinity dealer who tested it with software (unknown type or version)and found no codes.
While driving on a clear day with no traffic in front of me or debris on the road at approximately 45 mph, a master warning light appeared on my dash with an accompanying warning signal and simultaneously the emergency braking system engaged and brought my vehicle to a sudden stop. As quickly as it started, the warning and braking ceased and left me stunned and terrified. Had I been in traffic or on a highway, I am quite certain that I would have been rear-ended. Luckily, that was not my fate yesterday but this defect is serious and dangerous. I have contacted the dealer and dealer service department. The service department informed me that they could inspect the vehicle in 4 weeks. The dealer said that there are multiple computers in the vehicle and that computers can be glichy. This vehicle has had multiple computer issues since I first leased the car starting approximately 5 months into my lease. I have received a malfunction warning on numerous occasions and have had it in for service where they told me that they inspected the vehicle and all systems seemed to be working fine even though I showed them multiple pictures of the warning. The dealer told me that I should disregard the warning and that customers complain about it often but that it just indicates that there is snow, ice or debris covering the sensors. This is not consistent with my experience.

The contact owned a 2021 Infiniti QX50. The contact stated that while driving at 25 MPH, he collided with another vehicle on the rear driver's side of the vehicle. As a result, the vehicle was thrust off the roadway, coming to a complete stop after colliding with a pole, and the front passenger side wheel disconnected from the axle. The air bags were deployed. A police report was filed, and injuries were reported. The contact was later treated for various nondescript injuries. The vehicle was towed to a tow yard and declared a total loss by his insurance. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.
so after my initial report about my engine catching fire on the highway, I received an invoice for $5,000 for a used engine with 80k miles on it; plus another $2800 for the service fee.

Without any warning or indicator light on the dash, the vehicle lost power when pulling out of our driveway - we live on a main road and were very lucky not to be hit by upcoming traffic. The car went into limp mode and would not accelerate past 20mph. We have been fighting with Infiniti for the last three weeks as no one can find the problem and they finally said a new engine was needed. There is on 35,000 miles on this car and we had to fight to have this replacement covered under warranty. Now that parts are back ordered and we are not receiving any help. We are three weeks without a vehicle and have no loaner vehicle. No one at Infiniti can give a timeframe for the resolution of this issue, what caused this issue and we are now very fearful that this will happen again - even with an engine replacement. This was very scary for our family and we are amazed that there was no indicator light or warning. The car didn't make any noises and was running great and then all of a sudden it would not go. Very alarming to say the least!
This vehicle is equipped with a push button to start and stop the vehicle engine. The button is mounted horizontally next to the gear selector switch near the driver. Twice now, while traveling at highway speeds, the vehicle engine has stopped when my dog taps on the switch. I usually secure my dog while traveling with him, but there are occasions when his seat belt needs to be released, usually due to him getting tangled up. If you own a dog than you know that he will tend to want to climb on top of you as soon as he is released from his leash, so putting the button in that position represents a pretty significant safety issue for me. I have called and reported this to Infiniti, and the agent told me I needed to fashion some sort of cover for the button, and ask my dealer if there is a software solution.
I am a [XXX] woman who purchased my first vehicle on December 6, 2024, with 43,000 miles. I have driven fewer than 20,000 miles since purchase, and the vehicle currently has approximately 62,000 miles. Until January 19, 2026, I experienced no issues. I have properly maintained the vehicle and followed all recommended service guidelines. I completed three oil changes during my ownership, averaging approximately every 8,500 miles. Two oil changes were performed by a licensed mechanic, and the most recent oil change and inspection were completed on November 29, 2025 at Legend Infiniti. I have receipts for all services. On January 19, 2026, while driving approximately 65 mph on a four-lane highway in Long Island, the vehicle suddenly went into limp mode and dropped to about 10 mph without warning. This created an extremely dangerous situation with a serious risk of collision. I first brought the vehicle to my mechanic, who advised me to take it to an authorized Infiniti dealership due to an engine bearing recall associated with my VIN. I brought it to the same Infiniti dealership that had serviced it two months earlier. After diagnosis, the dealership stated there was engine sludge and that I needed a new engine. They denied any connection to the recall and attributed the issue to poor maintenance. However, two months prior they completed an oil change and inspection with no documentation of sludge, engine concerns, or maintenance deficiencies. I was not informed of any recall at that time. My warranty claim was denied on the basis that sludge is not covered and that maintenance performed outside Infiniti could not be validated, despite providing receipts from licensed facilities. I am also being told there are record-access issues because the vehicle was originally sold in Canada. Given the sudden loss of power at highway speed and the known recall related to engine components, I believe this presents a significant safety concern and warrants investigation.

The contact stated that the air bags did not deploy in her daughter's vehicle. The driver did not sustain any injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was damaged but not totaled. The vehicle was towed to a repair shop. The manufacturer and the dealer were not called. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown. The vin was not available.
The forward emergency breaking(feb) with pedestrian detection and predictive forward collision warning(pfcw) did not activate when i was starting up from a 4 way stop sign intersection on a city street. My 2019 qx50 was in motion when it crashed into another vehicle on the passenger door and wheel well. Airbags did not deploy as the qx50 was , i estimate, traveling <15 mph. Damage to the 2019 qx50 was apprx $9k. I will share auto body itemized repair parts once the qx50 is returned to me. Due to the qx50 being a 2019 not all parts are available in the infiniti inventory. Repair shop working w/infiniti dealership to work on a solution. The 2019 qx50 was moving so slow that there was no damage to the suspension as a wheel alignment is not necessary.
12/12/2017 - driving on a county side street east bound, had just left a 20 mph school zone and accelerated slightly. Applied brakes very hard at app 40 mph when car 100 ft. Ahead stopped suddenly. The vehicle did not slow down much at all and a crash resulted, causing damage to both vehicles. Air bags deployed. The pavement was dry but there were no tire marks on the road. Vehicle has not been driven since and is in repair shop.

Picked up the car on 5/25, on 6/4 sitting at a red light, forward collision warning and lane assist malfunctions showed up on dashboard. Called Faulkner willow grove where my company leased the car, the set up an appt on 6/17. the next day, 6/18 both malfunctions came back, I called and said I don't have time out of my day to drive back and forth for you to not fix my car, he told me to go somewhere else and found Holman Infiniti, they scheduled me on 6/25, they found I needed a new camera but the part was on a national backorder no eta. on 7/6 my car auto breaked with nothing in the way on a clear sunny day, called Holman they told me this happens all the time just accelerate, the engineers know its a problem, there's not current fix and you can't turn it off and he told me to call customer assurance to open a claim which I did, on 7/7 customer assurance called me back assigned me a case manager, on 7/8 Holman told me my camera part was in stock, scheduled an appt on 7/15, on 7/18 the forward collision sensor blinked the entire drive home.
I was going 70 miles an hour on a highway with no cars around me. When the car suddenly breaks and beeped. It was very dangerous. I was in the center lane of a 3 Lane Highway with no one around.

The contact purchased the vehicle from infiniti of orland park (8751 w 159th st, orland park, il 60462), but was informed that she could not take ownership because it needed unknown recall repairs. The contact was informed by the dealer that the recall repairs were performed. While driving at low speeds, a grinding noise was heard underneath the driver's side floorboard. There were no warning indicators illuminated. On another occasion, while driving, the vehicle stalled without warning. The contact also noticed that the fuel gauge was not operating correctly. As a result, the vehicle stalled due to lack of fuel and was rear ended by another vehicle. The contact sustained full body injuries that required medical attention. A police report was filed.

Around 530pm At the corner of Briarcliff Rd NE Atlanta Ga and N Druid Hills Rd NE Atlanta GA As I was about to accelerate after the Red Light turned green, my car experienced a significant loss of power. Several warning lights came on, the engine light came on and a warning that said System Default came on. I was almost rear ended but was able to put on my hazards and coast to the side of the road, where I turned the car off and back on. It continued to display the warning and system default message as well as loss of power. I was able to coast into the parking garage at work and park. I am a healthcare worker and my shift ends at midnight. I have a 30 minute drive home and I’m afraid my car may do the same thing-lose power- and that can be catastrophic on the interstate. This is not the first time this has happened. I took my car to Infiniti and they said the recall was cancelled for now. I have two small children that I have to transport in my car and it is unsafe. We need a solution asap!
Fuel smell coming from the vehicle when parkied in the garage. Has been check out twice. 1 st time infiniti could not find any issue, but told me they were looking into it under engineering review. 2 months later after living with the smell brought it back they had a infiniti engineer look at it. Now they are telling me they acknowlegde that there is a issue with the crank case ventalation system. Still no fix waiting on engineering review to come out with new bulletin could take up to 3 month. The smell of gas in my garage is a health hazard to humans. They have been complaint of this issue dating back to 2019. It needs to recalled.
Engine seized on road due to bearing debris (confirmed by dealer photos), covered by recall 25V-437. Infiniti corporate denied repair, falsely citing “maintenance” despite negligible sludge. No loaner provided for two weeks, stranding me. Laws Violated: 49 U.S.C. § 30120 (free recall remedy), 49 CFR § 573.6 (interim support during delays).
I was driving my vehicle and I stopped at a stop sign. When it was clear I proceeded onto the highway. I took a left at the first exit and could hear a weird knocking noise. I could also feel the car was not accelerating properly. The vehicle was not driving right. I called a tow and took it to a repair shop. The owner of the car shop said that a rod had been blown and I need a new engine. I am 7000 out of my drive train warranty.

There is something wrong with either the acceleration, electrical or throttle. While parking the vehicle and applying the breaks, the vehicle speed forward at high speed and would not stop even with applying the breaks. It crashed me and my daughter into a brick building at high speed. The witness said he had never seen anything like it before and he was a mechanic and auto body specialist. He said we went from almost in the stop position to high speed like a crash test dummy vehicle. This all occurred in a small parking lot in the city. The insurance company deemed it a total loss because the damages were over 85% of the cars value. The witness and urgent care facility said we are lucky to be alive. I took the vehicle to the dealership in february or march 2020 regarding the vehicles acceleration. The service rep i worked with was condescending and tried to make me think it was all in my head and told me there was nothing wrong with the vehicle. He drove it around a few blocks with me in it and said there was nothing wrong. I kept telling him there is something wrong because it would either lose power or jerk forward out of nowhere. This was a cpo vehicle so i did not expect to be taking it in for service only a couple of months after purchasing it. *tr
The front passenger door latch seems to go off and say that the door is open and the alarm goes off in the car so in the middle of the night, the alarm will start ringing and then when driving in the car, it constantly beeps and says the door is open when it’s closed. Sometimes you can’t open the door.
1. Collision warning sensor activated while driving in the #1 lane( closest to the cement highway dividers) and aggresively braked and slowed while diving at 77 mph. Not safe!! 2. Even thou i purposely turn the radio "off" when exiting my car, upon entering my car after a short duration of time, the radio turns "on" without any assistance by me....very frustrating!! Vehicle has been inspected by the local infiniti dealership....they're clueless and of no assistance or help.
Car experienced sudden braking on roadway upon entering a covered bridge. Red screen on dash and beeping. Foot on gas but not moving forward - Almost causing a crash and immediate risk of injury or death. Bringing vehicle into Infiniti dealer for service to see if there are diagnostics they can run to determine the cause of the event.

Vehicle malfunctions randomly while driving or at a stop light and all of the driver assist/safety assist functions show error messages. It also happens while on the highway. I don't know if the car will stop on the highway.
Engine light is on - transmission output speed sensor. Vehicle was inspect by Pep Boys # 208 My vehicle don't want to pick up speed. I don't know what caused the problem.
