I HAVE MY CAR IN THE AUTO REPAIR SHOP AND THE MECHANIC TELLS ME I NEED A PVC HOSE AND A OXYGEN SENSOR AND BOTH THOSE ITEMS ARE ON A RECALL LIST. HE ASKED ME TO CALL THE DEALER I WAS TOLD BY THE DEALER THAT THOSE ARE RECALL ITEMS BUT NOT FOR MY CAR. MY COMPLAINT IS WHY IF THIS IS A RECALL ITEM IT SHOULD BE FOR ALL CARS. THOSE ARE THE ONLY 2 THINGS WRONG WITH MY CAR. I NEED HELP.

I SMELT FUEL INSIDE MY CAR WHENEVER MY CAR WOULD BE FILLED TO A FULL TANK OF GAS AND FOR A PERIOD OF TIME UNTIL THE FUEL LEVEL DROPPED. MY CAR STARTED TO DRIVE FUNNY AND NOT ACCELERATE NORMALLY THEN STOPPED ALL TOGETHER. MERCEDES DIAGNOSED IT AS A FUEL SYSTEM ISSUE. I BOUGHT THE PARTS AT MERCEDES AND HAD IT REPAIRED AND THEN THEN RECEIVED A WEEK LATER A RECALL FOR THE FUEL SYSTEM AS A SAFETY ISSUE. . THE DEALER DID NOT FIX MY CAR AND HAS AVOIDED THE ASSISTANCE TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE AND I CAN NOT REACH ANYONE AT MERCEDES CORPORATE THAT CAN HELP.

THE FUEL TANK WILL ONLY FILL TO 3/4 AND THE VEHICLE HAS AN ODOR OF GASOLINE INSIDE AND OUTSIDE THE VEHICLE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO FILL THE TANK. THE VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT TO MERCEDES BENZ FOR SERVICE FOR THIS ISSUE AND THEY STATE THEY DO NOT KNOW HOW TO FIX IT AND HAVING SPENT APPROXIMATELY $1.000 FOR MERCEDES TO TRY AND DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM THEY ADVISED THEY DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX. I HAVE NOTED A RECALL FOR FUEL LEAK PROBE ON MERCEDES 2003-2008 E CLASS MODELS THAT HAS NOW BEEN CLOSED AFTER MERCEDES HAS AGREED TO FIX THE ISSUE. I CONTACTED MERCEDES NORTH AMERICA AND THEY STATE THE ISSUE ON MY C CLASS IS NOT RELATED TO THAT RECALL AND THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO FOR ME. THE MILEAGE ON MY VEHICLE IS VERY LOW AND THIS SEEMS TO BE THE SAME PROBLEM THAT OCCURRED IN MY C-CLASS THAT THEY REFUSE TO FIX. *TR

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 MERCEDES BENZ C230. THE CONTACT STATED HE NOTICED THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE HEAD LIGHTS WAS MELTED. THE CONTACT STATED HE REPLACED THE BULB HIMSELF. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED AS OF YET. A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER HAD NOT BEEN INFORMED OF FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 87,000.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE I-95 AT 60 MPH AND TURNED ON MY AIR CONDITIONER WHEN SMOKE BEGAN TO COME OUT OF THE VENTS. I SHUT OFF THE AIR CONDITIONER AND THE SMOKE STOPPED. I VISITED WITH MY PARENTS AND AS I STARTED THE CAR AND IT WAS IDLING, I TURNED ON THE AIR CONDITIONER AND SMOKE BEGAN TO COME FROM THE VENTS AGAIN AND FLAMES APPEARED UNDER THE DASHBOARD. I WAS ABLE TO PUT OUT THE FIRE AND PULLED THE FUSE BOX COVER OFF AND FOUND THE FUSE BOX WAS WHERE THE FIRE HAD STARTED. THERE WAS A PAPER WITH FUSE SIZES AND LOCATIONS PUT (BY MERCEDES) IN BETWEEN THE FUSES WHICH HAD BEEN SINGED, AND PART OF THE FUSE BOX AND SOME OF THE FUSES HAD MELTED. I DID AN INTERNET SEARCH AND FOUND A COMPLAINT ON A MERCEDES FORUM WHERE THIS HAD HAPPENED TO ANOTHER 2004 MERCEDES C230.

THE CAM SENSORS ON THE MERCEDES M271 ENGINE LEAK OIL WHICH SPREADS TO OTHER COMPONENTS VIA THE WIRE HARNESSES CONNECTED TO CAM SENSORS. OIL CONTAMINATION WILL DAMAGE OTHER ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS (NAMELY THE ECU AND EXHAUST OXYGEN SENSORS) IF THE CAM SENSORS AND WIRE HARNESSES ARE NOT REPLACED. A NEW CAM SENSOR AND WIRE HARNESS HAS BEEN DESIGNED AS THE CORRECTIVE ACTION. THE DEFECTIVE CAM SENSOR AND WIRE HARNESS WERE USED ON THE PREVIOUS ENGINE DESIGN (M111). THERE IS A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN FOR M111 ENGINE BUT NOT THE M271 ENGINE. MERCEDES REFUSES TO RECALL THIS DEFECTIVE DESIGN ON THE M271 ENGINE CAUSING OWNERS TO PAY FOR THE $900 PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE. I HAVE A 2004 MERCEDES BENZ C230. THE ALARM SOUNDS CONTINUOUSLY WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD. WHEN THIS HAPPENS, THE KEY WILL NOT DISABLE IT. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 MERCEDES BENZ C230. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE ENGINE OIL WAS LEAKING ONTO THE O2 SENSOR. THE O2 SENSORS WERE PLACED AUGUST 2009 BY THE DEALER; THE PROBLEM WAS NOT CORRECTED. THE ENGINE OIL BEGAN LEAKING ON THE SENSORS AGAIN SO THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE CAMSHAFT, WIRING HARNESS AND O2 SENSORS NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 44,600 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 71,000.

RE: C 240 MERCEDES 2004. THE CAR WILL SUDDENLY CUT OFF WHILE DRIVING. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON LONG DRIVES ON THE INTERSTATE, SHORT DRIVES ON THE INTERSTATE, AND STREET DRIVING. THIS IS A 2004 MERCEDES C230. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON. I WENT TO DEALER WITHIN 5 MILES OF WARNING LIGHT COMING ON. I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS AN OIL LEAK AND THAT IT HAD DRIPPED OVER SEVERAL COMPONENTS AND THE WIRING HARNESS. I WOULD COST $3,500 TO REPAIR BUT THEY ABSORBED THE LABOR COST AND IT SHOULD COST ABOUT $2,000. I HAVE NEVER MISSED A MAINTENANCE ON THIS CAR. THEY SAID THE THIS HAPPENS BECAUSE OF WHERE THE O2 SENSOR THAT LEAKED IS. IT SEEMS ODD TO HAVE MINOR ISSUE CAUSE SUCH ENORMOUS DAMAGE. *TR

SRS ABS ESP lights occasionally go on and off mostly the SRS take to shop does not come on or stay on obd2 does not detect may use clear error messages stays off for few weeks then back on and off bought scanner when SRS comes on sometimes it shows error B1035 stored and current the resistance value in the ignition circuit containing component R1 2/20 (left front side airbag ignition squib) is too high sometimes nothing hear this same complaint from many owners. drivers side seat motor only works off and on had replaced sometimes works sometimes does not lots of sensor issues shows a door ajar when it is not have to replace senors

THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE IMPACT ACTIVATED THE AIR BAG DEPLOYMENT. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. I TOOK MY CAR TO MERCEDES-BENZ DEALERSHIP TO FIX A RECALL ON MY SUNROOF NHTSA RECALL # 19V918 THEY CLAIMED THEY CHECKED MY SEAL FOR DEFECTIVE BUT WHEN I RECEIVED MY CAR THE SUNROOF WOULD NOT OPEN . I ASKED THEM WHAT DID THEY DO IT NOT WORKING AT ALL . THEY WERE VERY VAGUE ON THE DETAILS TO CHECKING MY RECALL. STATED THEY DIDN'T NEED TO OPEN MY SUNROOF TO CHECK. THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE ALSO I QUESTION WHY IS IT BROKEN NOW IT WAS NOT PRIOR TO BRINGING IT IN . THEY WERE ELUSIVE AND NON COMPLIANT AND STATED IT WAS BROKEN. SUNROOF DEFECTIVE AND MERCEDES IS NOT HONORING THIS RECALL. C CLASS WAS ANNOUNCED AS PART OF RECALL, HOWEVER THEY WOULD NOT HONOR 2004 C230 DEFECTIVE SUNROOF. PLEASE HELP. I AM SURE THAT MERCEDES IS DOING THEIR BEST NOT TO REPAIR AS MANY AS POSSIBLE.

THE DOOR HANDLE ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE IN THE FRONT BROKE OFF. I HAD TO PAY THROUGH THE NOSE TO GET IF FIXED. IT WAS LIKE PLASTIC. I AM 5"1 AND WEIGH UNDER 130 POUNDS. THIS DEFECT/CONCERN IS A GENERAL SAFETY COMPLAINT WITH RESPECT TO ALL VEHICLES WHICH SHOULD BE ADDRESSED BY ENACTMENT OF STANDARDS TO BE USED BY ALL MANUFACTURERS. MAINLY THE STANDARDIZATION OF THE LOCATION AND FUNCTION OF KEY CONTROLS AND SWITCHES ON ALL AUTOMOBILES. IN TODAYS DRIVING, DRIVERS ARE PLACED BEHIND THE WHEEL OF UNFAMILIAR VEHICLES ALL THE TIME AS TRAVEL AND BUSINESS PUTS THEM IN RENTAL CARS. WITH EACH VEHICLE HAVING DIFFERENT LOCATIONS FOR LIGHT SWITCHES, FLASHERS, WINDSHEILD WIPERS/WASHERS, DIMMERS AND CRUISE CONTROLS. DRIVERS CAN END UP HAVING ACCIDENTS, ESPECIALLY IN HURRIED SITUATIONS, WHEN TRYING TO FIND THE LOCATION OF THE CONTROLS IN AN UNFAMILIAR CAR. ONE MIGHT ARGUE THAT IF YOU ARE DRIVING A NEW VEHICLE YOU SHOULD FAMILIARIZE YOURSELF WITH ALL THE CONTROLS BEFORE STARTING TO DRIVE... BUT OFTEN TIMES IN AN EMERGENCY SITUATION, (WINDSHIELD SPLASHED WITH MUD), YOU INSTINCTIVELY RESPOND TO WHERE YOUR EVERYDAY VEHICLES CONTROLS ARE. THIS NOT ONLY DELAYS RESOLUTION OF THE SITUATION BUT TAKES YOUR ATTENTION AWAY FROM DRIVING. MY DAUGHTER IS 18. THIS WAS MY MERCEDES THAT I HANDED DOWN TO HER THAT I THOUGHT WOULD BE SAFE. HOWEVER, THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE SEAT BELT BUCKLES ARE NOT LOCKING THE SEAT BELTS PROPERLY. THIS IS PART OF A RECALL DONE BY MERCEDES. HOWEVER, WHEN I CALLED THE MERCEDES DEALERSHIP AND ASKED THEM IF MY CAR WAS RECALLED, THEY SAID THAT MY VIN NUMBER WASN'T ONE OF THE CARS. I DON'T UNDERSTAND IF MY CAR IS DOING SAME THING THAT THE RECALL SAYS. THERE WILL BE A HECK OF A LAWSUIT IF MY DAUGHTER WAS TO GET IN A WRECK AND HER SEAT BELT MALFUNCTIONED. THIS IS WHAT THE RECALL SAYS AND MY DAUGHTER'S VEHICLE IS DOING THE SAME THING. ......SOME SEAT BELT BUCKLES MAY HAVE A BURR ON A METAL COMPONENT OF THE LOCKING MECHANISM. THIS COULD PREVENT THE SEAT BELT FROM LOCKING UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS. IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH, THE SEAT OCCUPANT MAY NOT BE PROPERLY RESTRAINED, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY. DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE AFFECTED SEAT BELTS. THIS RECALL IS EXPECTED TO BEGIN ON DECEMBER 22, 2003. THE MERCEDES-BENZ RECALL NUMBER IS 2003 120006. YOU WOULD THINK MERCEDES WOULD TAKE CAUTION AND FIX THIS IF THE OWNER IS TELLING THEM THE SEAT BELT IS DOING THE SAME THING ON THE CAR THAT THE RECALL SAYS. I WOULD LIKE FOR MERCEDES TO TAKE FULL RESPONSIBLE AND FIX MY VEHICLE AT NO CHARGE. IF NOT AND SOMETHING HAPPENS TO MY DAUGHTER, I WILL FILE A LAWSUIT. PERIOD. THANKS

VEHICLE HAS 136,000 MILES AND HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED BY ALL OWNERS. DRIVERS BUCKLE OR LATCH NO LONGER OPERATING. PRIOR TO THIS IT WAS BECOMING HARD TO RELEASE BUCKLE AFTER USE. NOW STUCK IN CLOSED POSITION. IT INDICATES THAT THE BELT IS BUCKLED BUT IT WILL NOT CATCH. VERIFIED NOTHING IS STUCK IN MECHANISM.

I WAS TRAVELING ON THE FREEWAY (APPROXIMATE SPEED 60 MPH) WHEN I HEARD SOMETHING HIT THE WINDSHIELD OF MY 2004 MERCEDES C240. THERE WAS NO IMMEDIATE SIGNS OF DAMAGE. HOWEVER, ABOUT 30 MINUTES LATER AFTER I HAD MADE STOP AND LATER RETURNED TO THE CAR I NOTICED A 12 INCH CRACK IN THE WINDSHIELD. I BELIEVE THERE IS A SERIOUS DESIGN DEFECT WITH THE WINDSHIELDS IN MERCEDES. A CO-WORKER OF MINE HAS HAD TO REPLACE THE WINDSHIELD IN HER 2004 C320 MERCEDES TWICE WITHIN THE PAST 18 MONTHS. THE SERVICE REPS HAVE TOLD HER THAT THIS HAPPENS ON THE TIME, ESPECIALLY FOR COMMUTERS WHO TRAVEL THE 91 FREEWAY HERE IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. I WOULD THINK THAT R&D WOULD HAVE DONE SUFFICIENT TESTING TO ENSURE THAT A WINDSHIELD COULD WITHSTAND CONTACT WITH A ROCK OR PEBBLE.

The bonding agent on my roof ( between the glass panel and frame of car) is breaking down- The other week, when I had the sun roof open in direct sun ( my car is usually parked in covered parking) the bonding was sticky to the touch, and got all over my hand when I inspected the rail. I took it to Mercedes, because I thought that it was under recall # 202004011 for this very issue, but they said it was not a covered model. They wanted to charge $300 for an inspection and diagnosis. MBUSA customer service also not interested in investigating whether this issue is affecting my model car. In the recalled models, there is a danger of the glass roof separating from the vehicle.

THIS CAR IS A MONEY PIT! I BOUGHT 2004 C230 KOMPRESSOR USED IN 2007. TO DATE I HAVE SPENT WELL OVER $8500 IN REPAIRS AND THE CAR IS SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY WITH ITS LATEST AFFLICTION..A COMPLETELY BLOWN ENGINE. IT IS A USELESS PIECE OF JUNK AND I AM OUT THE $25,000 I ORIGINALLY PAID FOR IT, PLUS THE ADDITIONAL $8500 I HAVE PUT INTO IT. THIS IS HOW MERCEDES BENZ TAKES CARE OF BUSINESS? SOMETHING HAS DRASTICALLY CHANGED. MY DAD HAS HAD 2 MERCEDES OVER THE LAST 30 YEARS...THEY RAN PERFECTLY UNTIL HE SOLD THEM. I HAVE A 2004 MERCEDES C320 THAT INCORRECTLY THOUGHT THAT IT NEEDED TO CUT POWER TO THE VEHICLE WHEN I WAS TURNING TO THE LEFT. IT DID THIS SEVERAL TIMES, I WOULD GUESS ABOUT 6 OR 7, FROM THE TIME I LEFT MY HOUSE UNTIL I TURNED AROUND AND PARKED IT IN THE GARAGE LESS THAN 1/2 MILE DRIVING DISTANCE. THESE WERE NOT ALL COMPLETE LEFT TURNS, MOST WERE CURVES TO THE LEFT. MY WIFE TOOK IT TO THE DEALER LATER THAT DAY, AND DECIDED NOT TO HAVE IT LOOKED INTO BECAUSE IT DID NOT DO IT TO HER AND "THE CAR WAS PERFORMING AS DESIGNED" ALSO SHE DECIDED SHE DID NOT WANT TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTIC THAT WOULD NOT PRODUCE ANY FAULTS. IT HAS NOT DONE IT SINCE, ABOUT 2 WEEKS NOW, BUT I CONTINUE TO BE CONCERNED THAT IT WILL RECUR IN A MORE SERIOUS SITUATION. THE DEALER KEEPS SAYING THAT THE CAR IS WORKING PROPERLY BECAUSE THE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON AND THE VEHICLE CUT POWER AS IT SHOULD WHEN IT DETECTS ONE OF SEVERAL CONDITIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL. THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH THIS IS THAT THERE WAS NO CONDITION TO CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL. THE TIRES WERE NOT ABOUT TO SPIN AND THE YAW OR WHATEVER IT IS WAS NORMAL. THE DEALER ALSO KEEPS SUGGESTING THAT I DISENGAGE THE ESC IF I DO NOT WANT IT. I THINK THIS IS IRRESPONSIBLE ADVISE, THE ESC IS A VERY IMPORTANT SAFETY DEVICE THAT I DO NOT REALLY WANT TO DISENGAGE, BUT I ALSO DO NOT WANT IT TO ENGAGE INCORRECTLY IN A CRITICAL SITUATION. *TR

THIS IS A 2004 MERCEDES C230. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON. I WENT TO DEALER WITHIN 15 MILES OF WARNING LIGHT COMING ON. I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS AN OIL LEAK AND THAT IT HAD DRIPPED OVER THE WIRING HARNESS. IT WOULD COST $3,500 TO REPAIR. I HAVE NEVER MISSED A MAINTENANCE ON THIS CAR. I OWN A 2004 MB C320 AND I HAVE NOTICED THAT WHEN IT REACHED 40,000 MILES THE CAR ITSELF STARTED MALFUNCTIONING FROM THE REAR WINDOW SHADE WOULDN'T GO DOWN FOR WHICH I ONLY USE OCCASIONALLY; THE AIR CONDITIONING WOULD TURN ON AND OFF; THE TEMP GAUGE IS INACCURATE; THE PASSENGER VISOR CAME OFF; THE CENTER CONSOLE WOULDN'T SHUT CLOSE AND THE. I WENT TO MB FOR THE YEARLY SERVICE- APRIL 2009 AND THEY WANTED $1300.00 FOR THE WINDOW SHADE; I THINK $500 FOR THE CENTER CONSOLE AND $125 FOR THE VISOR. AND THEY ALSO WANTED $800 FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC CHECK FOR THE BLOWER AND I HAVE TO PAY WHATEVER PARTS THAT NEEDS REPLACING. NOW THE CAR IS ALMOST 60,000 MILES AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME LAST WEEK. I NOTICE THE LIGHT COMES ON WHEN I START THE ENGINE AND IT FAILS TO TURNOVER. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WOULD EVENTUALLY GO OUT. THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN YESTERDAY WHEN IT DIDN'T START THE FIRST TIME, THE CEL CAME ON. I CHECKED THE GAS CAP AND IT LOOKS TIGHT TO ME. HESITATION (JERKING) UPON ACCELERATION, USUALLY DURING TURNS OR WHILE IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM SINCE PURCHASE OF VEHICLE (NEW). I HAVE TAKEN IT IN FOR REPAIR FOR THIS PROBLEM NO LESS THAN SEVEN (7) TIMES, BUT THE PROBLEM STILL REMAINS. THERE IS ALSO A POPPING NOISE COMING FROM THE EXHAUST SYSTEM THAT OCCURS WHEN THE BRAKE IS ENGAGED AND THE VEHICLE IS IDLING. ATTEMPTS TO FIX THESE PROBLEMS CONSISTS OF THE FOLLOWING: CHARCOAL CANISTER SHUT OFF VALVE REPLACEMENT, LEAK IN CODUCTOR SLEEVE REPAIRED, PERFORMED ADAPTATION OF THE TORQUE CONVERTER, FLUSHED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AND TORQUE CONVERTER, REPLACED TORQUE CONVERTER, AND INSTALLED RESTRICTOR IN THE PURGE LINE. ADDITIONALLY, THE ORIGINAL TIRES ON THE VEHICLE HAVE BEEN VERY PROBLEMATIC. I HAD A BLOW OUT ON THE RIGHT REAR TIRE @ 14,190 MILES. I THEN REPLACED BOTH REAR TIRES. I HAD ANOTHER BLOW OUT ON THE RIGHT REAR TIRE AT 26,400 MILES WHILE ON THE EXPRESSWAY. I REPLACED THAT TIRE AGAIN ALONG WITH THE WHEEL/RIM. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 MERCEDES BENZ C230. WHILE DRIVING 65 MPH, THE VEHICLE'S CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. THIS FAILURE OCCURRED ON FOUR OCCASIONS. AFTER THE FIRST FAILURE, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO WAS UNABLE TO FIND ANY FAILURE. AFTER THE SECOND FAILURE, THE DEALER CHANGED THE BRAKES. DURING THE THIRD FAILURE, THE CONTACT WAS ALMOST INVOLVED IN A CRASH. THE VEHICLE SKID IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AND WOULD NOT STOP. THE DEALER WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER AND SOME PARTS WERE REPLACED. DURING THE FOURTH FAILURE, THE VEHICLE BEGAN TO SHAKE WHILE IN MOTION. THE VEHICLE THEN BEGAN TO DECELERATE AND THE CONTACT PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND CALLED AAA. THE TOW TRUCK DRIVER PARKED IN FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND A HIGHWAY PATROL OFFICER PUSHED HER VEHICLE TOWARDS THE TOW TRUCK, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO BUMP INTO THE REAR OF THE TRUCK. THE CURRENT MILEAGE IS 19,000 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 17,000.

EVER SINCE I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE I HAVA HAD PROBLEMS WITH IS FEATURES. NEW 2004 C230K COUPE. DRIVERS SEAT HAD SLIGHT ROCKING MOTION FORWARD AND BACK FROM THE DAY OF PURCHASE. NOTIFIED DEALER - SAID WAS NORMAL. ROCKING MOTION GOT WORSE AND AGAIN NOTIFIED DEALER AT 5000 MILES ON ODOMETER. DEALER SAID SEAT ADJUSTER WAS COMING LOOSE FROM SEAT FRAME, APPARENTLY THE BOLTS HAD "WALLOWED OUT" IN THE HOLES AND THE TWO PIECES COULD HAVE COME APART FROM EACH OTHER.
