Consequence: If oil leaks onto the front brake discs, a greater distance may be needed to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy / Corrective Action
BMW will notify owners, and dealers will replace the engine oil cooler line, free of charge. The recall began August 11, 2017. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417. Note: This recall supersedes recall 17V-240.
