THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR READING INCORRECTLY WHICH CAUSED FAULT CODE IN BIKE WHICH THEN CAUSED BIKE TO SHUT OFF POWER. TOOK BIKE INTO DEALERSHIP FOR REPAIR. DEALER UNPLUGGED SENSOR AND RECONNECTED AND RESET THE ADAPTABILITY VALUES INSTEAD OF REPLACING SENSOR. ROAD BIKE APPROXIMATELY 500 MILES AND PROBLEM RECURRED. AT BOTH TIMES THIS PROBLEM OCCURRED THERE WAS SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER TO ENGINE WHICH ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT. HAVE LOST CONFIDENCE IN MOTORCYCLE AND AM AFRAID TO RIDE IT DUE TO UNPREDICTABLE SUDDEN LOSS OF POWER. ALSO HAD A PROBLEM WHICH BMW IS CALLING BULLETIN #61 002 13 [009] WHICH IS A WIRE IN THE WIRING HARNESS BEING CHAFFED AND GROUNDING OUT THE FRAME ON THE MOTORCYCLE. THIS ALSO CAUSED THE MOTORCYCLE TO SUDDENLY LOSE POWER WHICH ALSO ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT. I HAVE BEEN RIDING MOTORCYCLES FOR THIRTY-FIVE YEARS AND I BELIEVE THAT SOMEONE WITH LESS EXPERIENCE WOULD HAVE CRASHED DUE TO THESE PROBLEMS ON THIS VEHICLE. CAN YOU PLEASE SEE IF SOMETHING CAN BE DONE ABOUT THIS VEHICLE AS I HAVE READ ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEMS ON THIS MOTORCYCLE NUMEROUS TIMES ON THE INTERNET. *TR
