The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler Sebring. The contact stated that the air bag warning light was illuminated. Due to the failure, the horn and cruise control functions were inoperable. The contact had taken the vehicle to a certified mechanic who determined that the clockspring was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 150,000.

I was sitting in the driver's seat with seat belt buckle up around myself with nothing else in the car besides myself and the airbag light came on the dash panel. It's stays on everytime I start the car and been that way for maybe little over a year.

A DEALER WAS NOT CONTACTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VIN AND FAILURE MILEAGE WERE NOT AVAILABLE.

AIR BAG LIGHT HAS COME ON INTERMITTENTLY FOR THE LAST 3 YEARS. TAKEN TO SEVERAL INDEPENDENT MECHANICS WITH NO REASON IDENTIFIED OR RESOLUTION. WELL TODAY THE LIGHT KEPT ILLUMINATING AND DINGING WHILE RUNNING ERRANDS. UNUSUAL AMOUNT OF TIMES SO MUCH SO IT CAUSED SOME CONCERN. I WAS IN MOTION APPROACHING A STOP SIGN, ALMOST HOME AND THE DRIVERS SIDE SIDE AIR BAG DEPLOYED & BURST FOR NO REASON. THANK GOD I WAS UNINJURED BUT THAT WAS DANGEROUS AND SCARY! NOW I HAVE A DAMAGED DRIVERS SIDE SEAT.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING. WHILE ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE FROM A TRAFFIC LIGHT, THE VEHICLE HESITATED TO MOVE. ALSO, ALL THE INSTRUMENT PANEL LIGHTING WENT OUT. AFTER A FEW SECONDS, THE VEHICLE DROVE NORMALLY TO THE CONTACT'S RESIDENCE. THE FOLLOWING DAY, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START. THE CONTACT ALSO MENTIONED THAT THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED IN AUGUST OF 2019. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER OR AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESTING. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE DEFECTIVE INTEGRATED POWER MODULE (TIPM) WOULD CAUSE MY VEHICLE TO DO STRANGE THINGS. LIKE LOOSE COMPLETE POWER WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY OR IN TOWN. ALSO EFFECTS WHERE STARTER CRANKS BUT WONT START. BATTERY WOULD BE DRAINED FOR NO REASON. I HAVE THE VEHICLE IN THE SHOP RIGHT NOW GETTING THAT PART REPLACED. I ASKED THEM WHAT DID THEY FIND OUT ABOUT MY VEHICLE AFTER A COUPLE OF DAYS OF THEM WORKING ON IT AND THEY STATED THEY WHERE UNSURE STILL WORKING ON IT. THEY GAVE ME A CALL BACK A FEW DAYS LATER AND THEY STATED THAT THE ISSUE IS THE TIPM AND THAT THEY GOT THAT INFO FROM CHRYSLER BECAUSE THEY EVENTUALLY HAD TO CONTACT THEM TO SEE IF THEY KNEW WHAT THE ISSUE WAS AND THAT THEY TOLD THEM THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON ISSUE IN CHRYSLER VEHICLES MADE FROM 2007 TO 2014. TO ME THIS PART ON CHRYSLER VEHICLES SHOULD BE A RECALL FOR 0NE IT IS VERY DANGEROUS FOR YOUR VEHICLE TO LOOSE POWER WHILE DRIVING AND ALSO THE FACT THAT THEY KNOW THIS IS AN ISSUE.

DASHBOARD LIGHTS INTERMITTENTLY TURN ON AND OFF WHILE CAR IS ON AND DRIVING; ESPECIALLY THE'AIRBAG' AND 'CHECK ENGINE' AND "EXCLAMATION POINT' LIGHTS. THE 'CHECK ENGINE' LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON AND BLINKS WHILE IN DRIVE. WHILE THE CHECK ENGINE IS BLINKING, THE CAR DRIVES SLOWER AND DOES NOT PICK UP SPEED PAST 20 MPH. ALL SPARK PLUGS HAVE BEEN CHANGED AS WELL AS THE CRANKS SENSOR.

THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 08V152000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). The contact owns a 2007 Chrysler 200. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the transmission failed to shift out of 1st gear. In addition, the contact lives in a hot climate, and the A/C was not functioning as needed. The contact stated that the hatchback occasionally failed to open unless force was used. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic where it was scanned with an OBD2 scanner and DTC Codes: P23, 06033, 2100707, and 0803806 were retrieved. The vehicle was repaired but the failure reoccurred. The local dealer was contacted, but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 175,000.

I HAVE A 2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING AUTOMATIC 4 CYLINDER. WHEN DRIVING THE CAR INTENDS TO STUTTER SOMEWHAT. ESPECIALLY IN THE RAIN. BUT WHENEVER IT ACCELERATES AT LOW SPEEDS IT WOULD JUMP OR HESITATE LIKE IT WANTS TO STALL, I DONT KNOW IF IT COULD BE THE FUEL TYPE. I TALKED IT OVER WITH THE DEALERSHIP THEY SAID IT COULD BE ANYTHING. I HAVENT GOTTEN IT CHECKED OUT YET BECAUSE THEIR GOING TO CHARGE ME AND IF THEY CANT FIGURE THE PROBLEM OUT. I HAVE A 2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING TOURING. I BOUGHT IT USED IN JUNE 2010. STARTING IN SEP 2010 IT STARTED HAVING ISSUES, (I.E., ENGINE SHUT OFF AT LOW SPEED OR WHEN GAS TANK WAS AT 1/4 TANK, ENGINE WOULD ACT AS IF WAS GOING TO STALL WHEN SITTING AT A STOP SIGN/LIGHT THEN WOULD LURCH FORWARD SUDDENLY, AND BRAKE LIGHT KEPT COMING ON). I HAD THE O2 SENSORS REPLACED, ENGINE LIGHT WENT OUT FOR A COUPLE WEEKS AND CAME BACK ON. MECHANIC THEN CHANGED WIRING HARNESS. THIS TIME LIGHT WAS OUT FOR ABOUT A MONTH OR 2 BUT NOW WILL NOT TURN OFF EVEN THOUGH THE MECHANIC COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH EITHER THE SENSORS OR THE WIRING HARNESS. NOW THEY SUGGEST REPLACING THE ENGINE BRAIN WHICH AT THIS TIME IS FINANCIALLY IMPOSSIBLE FOR ME. I TOOK THE CAR TO A CHRYSLER DEALER SHOP WHEN THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAM ON AND I TOLD THE GUY ABOUT ALL THE ISSUES. HE PULLED UP THE HISTORY AND INFORMED ME THE CAR'S FORMER OWNER HAD SAME SHUT OFF ISSUES AT 16K MILES AND HAD A NEW ENGINE INSTALLED AT 20K MILES. CAR IS HAVING THE SAME ISSUES THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN RESOLVED WITH NEW ENGINE BEING PUT IN. I'VE ALSO HAD TO HAVE THE BRAKES REPLACED AFTER OWNING THE CAR LESS THAN A YEAR. I CAME UP TO THE STOP SIGN AND THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON. I TURNED AND TRIED TO GET TO SPEED BUT COULD ONLY GET TO 35MPH. I TURNED AROUND AND WENT BACK HOME. WENT TO A PRIVATE REPAIR SHOP ON MONDAY, BUT HE SAID IF IT IS RUNNING OK, NOT TO DO ANYTHING. AGAIN IT HAPPENED ON 3/16/14 AS I WAS GOING ABOUT 60MPH. WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY I LOST POWER TO MY CAR. IT WOULDN'T GO FASTER THAN 25-30 MPH EVEN WHEN I FLOORED IT. THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT STARTS BLINKING ON THE DASH. HAPPENED A COUPLE TIMES, ABOUT 5-6 MONTHS APART, AND I FOUND OUT THAT IF I TURNED MY CAR OFF AND RESTARTED IT WOULD RUN JUST FINE AGAIN. RECENTLY BEGAN HAPPENING WHENEVER I DRIVE FOR MORE THAN ABOUT AN HOUR, REALLY DANGEROUS WHEN IT HAPPENS ON THE INTERSTATE. FUEL PUMP CONNECTOR MELTED THOUGH AT THE GAS STATION AFTER A FILL UP. THE CAR STARTED BUT IMMEDIATELY STOPPED. FAILED TO START AFTER THAT. AFTER A TOW THE REAR SEAT WAS REMOVED AND THE FUEL PUMP CONNECTOR REMOVED. THE CONNECTOR WHEN REMOVED STILL CONTAINED THE PIN THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN MOLDED INTO THE FUEL PUMP. FUEL RUSHED OUT OF THE CONNECTOR, FELT VERY LUCKY IT WAS GAS AND NOT FUMES. IF THE TANK HAD NOT BE FULL A FIRE WOULD HAVE BEEN INEVITABLE BASED ON THE MELTED BLACK PLASTIC ON THE FUEL PUMP. *JS

I HAVE A 2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING. RECENTLY WITHIN THE LAST YEAR THE CAR WOULD STALL AT STOP LIGHTS AND THEN LATER THIS WEEK WOULDN'T START. TOWED TO THE SHOP ONCE AND THE VEHICLE STARTED FOR THE SHOP AND WAS UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. SO I DROVE THIS CAR THROUGHOUT THE WEEKEND AND HAD NO ISSUES WITH IT. MONDAY MORNING MY WIFE GOES TO GET IN THE CAR AND IT WOULDN'T START HAD TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED BACK TO THE SHOP. THIS TIME PROBLEM NEVER WENT AWAY. MY SHOP WHERE I TOOK THE VEHICLE STARTED LOOKING INTO THE PROBLEM AND FOUND OUT THE FUEL PUMP CONNECTOR HAD MELTED CAUSING THE FUEL PUMP TO STOP WORKING. WHEN THE CONNECTOR IS TOUCHED THE LIGHT WILL GO OFF AND ON SO THAT TELLS ME THAT THE CONNECTOR HAS A SHORT AND IS FAULTY. A PLASTIC PART IN THE GEAR SHIFT HAS BROKEN AND MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE TO SHIFT WITHOUT MANIPULATION WITH A SCREW DRIVER, AND THERE IS A LOUD CLICKING SOUND THAT COMES OUT OF THE AIR CONDITION VENT/DUCT WHEN THE AC IS TURNED ON. I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE LISTED ABOVE IN 2011 AT CITY AUTO PLAZA WHILE UNDER WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE SERVED MY PURPOSE AS IT WAS FOR WORK AND NOW SCHOOL ONLY FUEL EFFICIENT. ABOUT 6 OR 7 MONTHS AGO I BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE AN INTERMITTENT PROBLEM WITH VEHICLE IT WOULD CRANK BUT NOT START. I WOULD HAVE THE VEHICLE TOWED TO MY LOCAL MECHANIC AND NOT FAULTY CODES WERE DISCOVERED. I CONTACTED MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP IN AN ATTEMPT TO REPORT THIS MATTER AND THEY HAVE NOT ASSISTED TELLING ME INSTEAD THAT THE CAR HAD TO BE IN THEIR SHOP. 2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING, THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING PROBLEM THAT HAS RESULTED IN NUMEROUS TRIPS TO THE MECHANIC. I HAVE A CONSTANT VIBRATION WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE FROM SPEEDS AROUND 50-70+ MPH. WHATEVER THE VIBRATION IS CAN BE FELT THROUGHOUT THE PASSENGER COMPARTMENT AS IF YOUR SITTING IN A MASSAGE CHAIR. THIS PROBLEM IS ALSO CAUSING THE BRAKE ROTORS TO WARP AND FAIL (SAFETY SAFETY) ISSUE. I AM ON MY FOURTH SET OF ROTORS, THIRD SET OF BRAKE PADS, AND THIRD SET OF TIRES. IN ADDITION I HAVE REPLACED THE HUB BEARINGS AS WELL. ALL BY THE RECOMMENDATION OF VARIOUS MECHANICS. I AM AFRAID THAT SINCE MOST OF MY TIME IN MY VEHICLE IS ON THE INTERSTATE THAT I WILL HAVE A COMPLETE FAILURE AT HIGH SPEEDS. DASHBOARD WAS DIM WITH AIRBAG INDICATOR LIGHT ALWAYS ON WHEN PURCHASED. THE PROBLEMS STARTED WITH DASHBOARD LIGHTS GOING IN AND OUT AND THE WIPERS NOT WORKING PROPERLY AROUND NOVEMBER OF LAST YEAR. WAS TOLD FUSES NEEDED TO BE CHANGED, SO THEY WERE. SAME ISSUE. THEN 3 MONTHS AGO TAILLIGHT BULB WENT OUT, CHANGED IT AND THE TAILLIGHTS HAVE NOT WORKED SINCE. WAS TOLD IT HAS TO BE TAKEN TO DEALER AUTHORIZED SHOP FOR ELECTRICAL BOX REPAIR AFTER TAKING CAR TO THREE DIFFERENT SHOPS WHO ALL SAID THEY COULD NOT FIND THE ISSUE. TODAY BATTERY LOOKING LIGHT CAME ON AND BEFORE I COULD TURN AROUND TO GO BACK HOME THE CAR IMMEDIATELY SHUT OFF AND WOULD NOT START WITHOUT A JUMP. THE LIGHTNING BOLT IN PARENTHESES CAME UP AND CAR ACCELERATED WITHOUT MY FOOT BEING ON GAS BUT WOULD NOT GO ABOVE 30 MPH ONCE I MADE IT HOME IT TURNED OFF AND REFUSES TO START 6 HRS LATER. I PURCHASED A 2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING IN NOVEMBER OF 2007. ON THE WAY HOME I ENCOUNTERED ISSUES WITH THE HEATING AND DEFROSTING SYSTEM AND SUBSEQUENTLY RECEIVED A RECALL ON THIS ISSUE. SEVERAL MONTHS AFTER THE PURCHASE OF THE VEHICLE I BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE PROBLEMS WITH THE ENGINE STALLING UPON COMING TO A NORMAL STOP OR SUDDEN STOP WITH THE ENGINE STALLING WITHOUT NOTICE. I HAVE TAKEN THE CAR TO THE DEALER NUMEROUS TIMES AND THEY CONTINUALLY TELL ME THEY CAN NOT FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR AND THE COMPUTER INDICATES NO FAULTS OR ERROR CODES. THE STALLING HAS OCCURRED AT LEAST 20-30 TIMES SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE. I've had to replace the battery in this 3 times. Alternator 1. And Throttle Body Position Sensor twice. And now it's all starting to act up again. Car stalls, no reason, all dashboard warning lights flash and it stalls. No dashboard lights at night. Occasionally they flicker. Windshield wipers either won't work or won't shut off. Front windows are unusable, the track broke and back windows don't have power to make them work. Airbag and abs lights always flashing on dash and warning bell goes off all the time. Now my High beam wires have completely crumbled and radio takes 5-10 minutes to come on. Obviously a major electrical issue. I've lost my job thanks to the "reliability" of this money pit. Owned 3 years, problems began then. Today all lights are flashing, the air starts blowing high, wipers go on. I stop at light and it shuts off. Had to push off busy road. Waited half hour and it started, but now check engine, air bag, throttle body and seat belt lights all on. Very slowly, with many breaks, drive home & car smells like burning rubber. Visually can't find source. All fuses are good, and brand new battery last week.

There were 7 recalls on my make, year, model vehicle. Three of which were Brakes, Air Bags, and the TPMS tire monitoring system. Other body parts, doors and hood releases had recalls along with hvac/air conditioning systems. Radiator/fan motor failures. Doors flying open during transit. The ABS control module could cause the brakes to lock-up during braking. Shorts from unused connectors for the computer/TPMS system/brakes and air bags have been causing many unpredictable breakdowns. Some predictable, from past records, state recorded Instances from 180,963 vehicles that just failure of the TPMS monitor system has already caused engine no start, dead battery, Inoperable cruise control, remote start system, engine stalling which could cause a "crash without warning". This was what i read on the www.autoblog site concerning this vehicle. I contacted the Chrysler Recall Center and the site says the dealer's techs would seal the wiring "free of charge", and to replace the front seat track position sensors "free of charge". The recall center said they wouldn't do any repairs at their "free of charge" policy for ME. They said that I would have to pay out-of-pocket, when the site says they already serviced 180,963 vehicles "free of charge". I'm broke and on fixed income. Why are they being so unfair. From what I heard, and I could be wrong, but I was made to believe that there is no expiration date for recalls. If they already state online, some of the recalls could cause a "crash without warning", why would they refuse me? This happened yesterday to me. The Check TPMS System warning notice appeared, along with the Air Bag Red warning light at the top of the speedometer, while I was driving. The tire pressure screen appeared showing the tire pressure of the four tires. They are all fully Inflated. The Air Bag red light came on/off a few times, while driving home and the tire pressure screen remains on all the time. I don't want an accident.

VERY MAJOR PROBLEM. ON A COLD START, IF THE CAR WAS OFF FOR AT LEAST 6 HOURS, IT CRANKS AND CRANKS AND CRANKS FOR ABOUT 8 SECONDS BEFORE STARTING, WHEN IT DOES START, IT REVS ALL THE WAY TO 2500 RPMS BY ITSELF AND SLOWLY GOES DOWN. MOST RECENTLY THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL LIGHT CAME ON, THE OWNERS MANUAL INDICATES THAT THE VEHICLE MAY LOOSE CONTROL OF SPEED AND CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. FURTHER RESEARCH INDICATED THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM AND THAT PEOPLE HAVE LOST CONTROL OF THERE VEHICLES AND OR BEEN IN ACCIDENTS AS THEY WERE UNABLE TO SLOW DOWN OR STOP DO TO THIS ISSUE. MANY OF THE COMPLAINANTS ON LINE WERE INDIVIDUALS WITH YOUNG CHILDREN AS I AM AND HAVE SERIOUS CONCERNS FOR INJURY OR DEATH. LOCAL DEALERS HAD ISSUES RESOLVING THE PROBLEM. MY SECOND ISSUE WHICH IS ALSO A COMMON ISSUE FOR CHRYSLER OWNERS IS THAT THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER LIGHTS GO OUT AND CEASE TO WORK AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEE ANY OF YOUR INSTRUMENTS AT NIGHT SUCH AS YOUR SPEED, TACHOMETER, GAS GAUGE,ENGINE TEMPERATURE ECT. THIS IS A BIG SAFETY CONCERN AS YOU CAN NOT SEE YOUR SPEED AT NIGHT OR EARLY IN THE MORNING WHEN KIDS ARE GOING TO SCHOOL AND REDUCED SPEEDS ARE IN AFFECT, AS WELL AS BEING ABLE TO KNOW IF YOUR RUNNING OUT OF GAS OR CAR IS OVERHEATING CAUSING FURTHER DAMAGE. I DID ALTHOUGH FIND A RECALL FOR DIFFERENT MODELS WITH GAS GAUGE ISSUES AS A SAFETY CONCERN FOR RUNNING OUT OF GAS. THIS INSTRUMENT CLUSTER ISSUE HAS TO BE FAR WORSE THAN THE GAS GAUGE RECALL AS IT CAUSES THE SAME CONCERNS PLUS SEVERAL MORE IN JUST ONE PROBLEM. WHEN I CALLED THE RECALL LINE THEY SAID THAT ITS NOT ON THE RECALL LIST BUT WAS ABLE TO CONFIRM THE GAS GAUGE ISSUE I ATTACHED BELOW. HAVING CONTINUAL ISSUES WITH LIGHTS ON DASH FLICKERING: 2 REPAIRS COMPLETED IN LAST 18 MONTHS AND STILL BROKE. COSMETICALLY, THE CAR IS CRAPPY SINCE THE DAY I BOUGHT IT; PAINT FLAKING OFF, TIRE RIMS HAVE PITTED, INSIDE DOOR HANDLES FLAKING OFF PAINT TOO, AMONG A FEW OTHERS. HOWEVER, MY HEATED SEATS BURNING THROUGH IS WHAT HAS ME VERY IRATE! I WAS DRIVING AND HAD TWO ADULT PASSENGERS WITH ME. BOTH OF US IN THE FRONT HAD THE HEATED SEATS TURNED ON RETURNING HOME FROM RUNNING ERRANDS IN THE CITY 45 MILES AWAY. MY PASSENGER IS 8 MONTHS PREGNANT AND I HAVE LOW LUMBAR ISSUES, SO HEATED SEATS ARE ALWAYS USED. WE HAD BOTH COMPLAINED THAT WE FOUND IT WEIRD THAT IF WE MADE QUICK STOPS DURING OUR RUNNING, WHEN WE GOT BACK INTO THE CAR AND TURNED THE HEATED SEATS ON, IT FELT WARMER THAN USUAL. HOWEVER, IF WE WERE SOMEWHERE FOR A LONGER PERIOD OF TIME, THE SEATS DIDN'T GET TERRIBLY HOT RIGHT AWAY. THE CAR SAT FOR 48 HOURS BEFORE IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO PACK UP AND HEAD BACK TO MY OWN HOME, WHEN I NOTICED WHAT I THOUGHT TO BE A STAIN ON MY SEAT (FROM MY DAUGHTERS DOG THINKING HE WAS GOING WITH ME). AFTER TRYING TO CLEAN IT AND NOTHING HAPPENING, I TOUCHED IT WITH MY FINGER TIP, ONLY TO FIND THAT IT WAS A BURN SPOT. IF THAT WOULD HAVE CAUGHT FIRE WHILE DRIVING, I COULD HAVE CRASHED! I PURCHASED MY CAR USED 3 YRS AGO. I PAID IF OFF THIS YEAR. THE ONGOING TROUBLESOME ISSUE IS THAT THE CAR STALLS OUT UNEXPECTEDLY- USUALLY DURING WET WEATHER. IT HAS HAPPENED ABOUT 5 TIMES OR SO. CAR TURNS OFF AUTOMATICALLY AT LOW SPEED. BRAKES LOCK AT THE SAME TIME THIS HAPPENS. I TOOK IT BACK TO DEALER TO GET SERVICED, AND THEY STATED THAT NOTHING WAS FOUND. THE SERVICEMAN DID TELL ME THAT HE CALLED THE CHRYSLER CORP, AND THEY TOLD HIM THEY NEVER HEARD OF ANYTHING LIKE THIS HAPPENING BUT ON A FORUM ON THE INTERNET, THERE ARE MANY COMPLAINTS OF THIS OCCURRING. LOVE MY CHRYSLER CARS, YES, I HAVE TWO. THE STEM VALVES/SENSORS HAVE BEEN BREAKING OFF OF OUR 2007 MODEL SEBRING. JUST WANTED TO NOTE THIS IN THE DATABASE. HAD SECOND STEM VALVE/SENSOR BREAK THIS WEEK OF NOVEMBER 9TH, 2014 AND WHILE IT WAS GETTING FIXED, I HAD THE CAR REPAIR SHOP CHECK TIRE PRESSURE ON THE OTHER TIRES AND ANOTHER STEM VALVE/SENSOR SNAPPED OFF. THESE ARE NOT CHEAP TO FIX. THAT'S THREE SO FAR, TWO WITHIN DAYS OF EACH OTHER. I PLAN ON GETTING THE LAST STEM VALVE/SENSOR REPLACED SOON AS WHEN THIS HAPPENS, YOU HAVE ONLY FEET BEFORE YOUR TIRE IS COMPLETELY OUT OF AIR. WAS REVERSING OUT OF PARKING SPACE AND ENGINE STALLED. THIS IS NOT THE FIRST OCCURRENCE. HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN DRIVING ON THE ROAD AT 35 MPH AND THE ENGINE HAS STALLED AND THE VEHICLE HAD TO CRUISE TO A SHOULDER FOR SAFETY, NEEDED TO SHUT OFF THE CAR AND RESTART. THE FIRST TIME THIS HAPPENED 2011 I HAD OWNED THE CAR FOR 6 MONTHS I WAS GOING APPROX 60MPH ON A HIGHWAY AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF, THE CAR ELECTRICAL SYSTEM WAS FINE BUT THE ENGINE CUT OFF. THE DEALER WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE SITUATION AND IT HAS HAPPENED SEVERAL TIMES SINCE. LAST WEEK THE DEALER REPLACED THE BATTERY BECAUSE THEY WERE CERTAIN THIS WAS BEING CAUSED BY THE BATTERY BUT IT IS NOT! IT COST 750.00 FOR JUST THE PART. I FEEL CHRYSLER DOESN'T RECALL THESE EVEN AFTER 1000S OF COMPLAINTS BECAUSE IT IS TO COSTLY. THEY ARE MAKING MONEY ON THE PART ALONE. CRUISE CONTROL WAS NOT BEING USED AT THAT TIME DUE TO HEAVY TRAFFIC. PURCHASED 2007 SEBRING BASE MODEL ONE MONTH AGO. HAD DEALERSHIP COMPLETE ALL RECALLS BEFORE PURCHASE. TAIL LIGHTS ATTACHED TO THE UPPER PORTION OF THE TRUCK FLOODED/FILLED WITH WATER ANYTIME THERE WAS RAIN AND WHEN YOU OPEN THE TRUNK IT DUMPS THE WATER ON YOUR HEAD. ALL 3 BREAK LIGHT SEALS WERE REPLACED AND PLUGS REMOVED TO ALLOW BETTER DRAINAGE - ISSUE RESOLVED. EMERGENCY BREAK LIGHT INTERMITTENTLY ILLUMINATES WHILE DRIVING - EMERG BREAK IS OFF AND NEW BREAKS INSTALLED ISSUE STILL UNRESOLVED. DELAYED AUTO OFF HEADLIGHTS DID NOT SHUT OFF. RETURNED TO VEHICLE 2 HOURS LATER WITH DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS STILL ON AND SINCE THEY ARE AUTOMATIC THERE IS NO WAY TO TURN THEM OFF. AFTER CYCLING THE ENGINE THEY SHUT OFF, BUT NOW FAIL TO COME ON AT ALL. IN THE BASE MODEL THERE IS NO FEATURE TO TURN THEM "ON" OR "OFF" - ISSUE UNRESOLVED. THE CAR HAD A NEW SET OF SPARK PLUGS AND A TRANSMISSION SERVICE AT 60,000 MILES. THE CAR WAS BEING DRIVEN AT FREEWAY SPEEDS WHEN IT LOST POWER AND THEN WAS STUCK IN SECOND GEAR. IT WAS TOWED TO A CHRYSLER DEALER WHERE THEY SERVICED THE TRANSMISSION BELIEVING THAT WAS THE PROBLEM, BECAUSE THE OBDII SYSTEM REPORTED NO CURRENT OR STORED ERROR CODES. THEY RETURNED THE CAR AND STATED THAT IT WAS RUNNING ROUGH AND SHOULD HAVE A TUNE UP. THE CAR WAS DRIVEN ABOUT 180 MILES AT FREEWAY SPEEDS WHEN IT AGAIN LOST POWER AND WAS STUCK IN SECOND GEAR. THIS TIME THE CAR WAS DRIVEN ALONG THE SHOULDER TO THE NEXT OFF RAMP AT WHICH TIME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THE CAR WAS TOWED TO ANOTHER CHRYSLER DEALER WHERE THE OBDII CODES SHOWED THAT THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER AND AN OXYGEN SENSOR HAD FAILED. THE DEALER REPLACED THESE ITEMS. FUEL ECONOMY DROPPED FROM ABOUT 30 MPG TO ABOUT 23 MPG. THE LOCAL DEALER LOOKED INTO THIS PROBLEM BUT SAID THAT THE OBDII SYSTEM IS REPORTING NO CURRENT OR STORED CODES SO THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO PER THE FACTORY, THEY ALSO HAVE NOTED THAT THE ENGINE IS RUNNING ROUGHLY. CHRYSLER WAS CONTACTED ABOUT THE PROBLEM AND AGREED TO REFUND THE COST OF THE TRANSMISSION SERVICE BECAUSE IT WAS NOT THE PROBLEM. I MAILED ALL THE COPIES OF THE REQUESTED PAPERWORK TO THEM BUT THEY NEVER RESPONDED BACK AND HAVE NOT PAID.

MULTIPLE ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE. THE LATEST ONE IS THE MOST SERIOUS. A FAULTY ABS SENSOR CAUSE THE BRAKES TO OPERATE ABNORMALLY. THE ABS LIGHT MAY COME ON THEN GO OFF AND (PERIODICALLY GOES ON AND OFF). REGARDLESS OF THE LIGHT STATUS, THE ABS SYSTEM RANDOMLY ENGAGES AND DOES NOT ALLOW THE VEHICLE TO STOP IN A SAFE MANNER. THE ABS WHEN ENGAGED RESISTS THE DRIVER FROM APPLY PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE RESULT IS THE CAR NOT STOPPING. LUCKILY I WAS GOING SLOW AND THERE WAS NO ONE AROUND OTHER WISE THERE WOULD HAVE BEEN AN ACCIDENT. THE ABS LIGHT CAME ON, RESISTED MY BRAKING FORCE THEN WENT OFF AND ALLOW THE BRAKES TO ENGAGE AS ANTICIPATED. THE ROADS WERE NORMAL, DRY AND FREE OF DEBRIS/ LOOSE FILL. THIS HAPPENED TWICE OVER TWO DAYS. ON THE SECOND DAY I PARKED THE CAR AND LET IT SIT UNTIL IT'S SERVICE DATE. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT DIAGNOSED A FAULTY SENSOR WITH CODE C1044. THEY SAID IT WAS DUE TO RUST. FIRST THIS IS A 2007 CAR, SECOND IF RUST ON A SENSOR IS GOING TO INHIBIT NORMAL BRAKING THEN THE PART IS DEFECTIVE AND OR THE DESIGN IS DEFECTIVE. I WAS LUCKY SOME ONE ELSE IS NOT GOING TO BE. ABS IS DESIGNED TO PUMP THE BRAKES UNDER CERTAIN CONDITIONS. I'M SURE NORMAL DRIVING AT 25 MPH ON A DRY NORMAL SURFACE ISN'T ONE OF THEM. EVEN IF THE ABS FAILS THE OPERATOR SHOULD STILL BE ABLE TO STOP THE CAR BY APPLYING MANUAL FORCE TO THE BRAKE PETAL. THIS FAILURE DOES NOT ALLOW EFFECTIVE USE OF THE BRAKES! SECOND ISSUE IS THE LIGHTS (BOTH INTERIOR AND EXTERIOR DIMMING) WITH AUDIBLE SURGES IN THE CLIMATE CONTROL BLOWER. THE DEALER SAYS THIS IS DUE TO MY REMOTE STARTER EVEN THOUGH THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN OCCURRING WELL BEFORE THE REMOTE STARTER WAS INVOLVED. WHILE MY 2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING WAS UNDER WARRANTY ATT AROUND 20000. MILES I REPORTED A NOISE/VIBRATION ON THE LEFT REAR WHEEL. THE DEALER FIXED SOMETHING BUT I CONTINUED TO HEAR NOISE. SO BEFORE WARRANTY WAS UP IN AUGUST 2008 I TOOK IT BACK AND THEY REPLACE THE LEFT REAR WHEEL BEARINGS. IN MARCH 2009 WHILE I WAS AT THE TIRE STORE TO PURCHASE TIRES THE SALESMAN THERE SAID MY LEFT REAR WHEEL WAS DANGEROUSLY READY TO FALL OFF. I CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY SAID TO BRING IT RIGHT OVER AND THEY FIXED IT EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NOW OUT OF WARRANTY. NOW, ONE YEAR LATER MY LEFT REAR WHEEL BEARING IS GONE AGAIN. THE DEALER IS APPREHENSIVE ABOUT REPAIRING IT AND THE SERVICE MANAGER SAID WE SHOULD NOT DRIVE IT. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY IT IS GOING OUT ALL THE TIME IT HAS 60000. TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING. WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE SHAKES. THE BRAKES FAIL TO WORK PROPERLY AND FEEL AS IF THEY ARE TAPPING ON SOMETHING WHEN THE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED. WHEN THE CONTACT TURNS THE VEHICLE, THERE IS A RUBBING SENSATION. IN ADDITION, THE CRUISE CONTROL DOES NOT WORK. THE CONTACT COULD NOT CONTROL THE VEHICLE BECAUSE IT ACCELERATED ON ITS OWN. THE ABS LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR THE TIRE PRESSURE MONITORING SYSTEM AND ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS AND THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE DEALER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER WARRANTY DUE TO THE RECALL THAT WAS ISSUED. THE VEHICLE WILL ONLY BE REPAIRED AT THE CONTACT'S EXPENSE. THE VEHICLE WAS DIAGNOSED AS HAVING ELECTRICAL FAILURE. THE NHTSA CAMPAIGN ID NUMBER WAS UNKNOWN. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,751 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN.

TL*THE CONTACT OWNS A 2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR ILLUMINATED INTERMITTENTLY. THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVEN TO THE DEALER AND THEY FOUND NO DEFECTS. IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE STEERING COLUMN WOULD MAKE NOISE WHENEVER TURNS WERE MADE. THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS FINE. NO REPAIRS WERE MADE. SIX MONTHS LATER, THE AIR BAG INDICATOR ILLUMINATED AND STEERING COLUMN FAILED AGAIN. THE CONTACT RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND THEY STATED THAT THE STEERING COLUMN WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN REPAIRED AND THE MANUFACTURER HAS NOT BEEN NOTIFIED. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 40,200 AND FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 39,700.

I OWN A 2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING BOUGHT NEW IN OCT 2007. I HAVE BEEN HAVING A CONSTANT VIBRATING PROBLEM WITH THE BRAKING SYSTEM AND/OR TIRES SINCE MAY 2008 AND I DID NOT KNOW MY BRAKE SYSTEM WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY UP TO 18,000 MILES SO I TOOK IT A FIRESTONE DEALER. AT THE TIME I HAD 15,000 ON MY SEBRING AND THEY TOLD ME THAT MY BRAKES WERE WEARING DOWN DUE TO MY ROTORS EATING MY BRAD PADS AND I WOULD NEED THEM TO BE RESURFACED. SO I PAID OUT OF POCKET $120 TO HAVE THEM RESURFACED AND CONTINUED TO HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM THEN WHEN I HAD TIME I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALER IN AUGUST 2008 AND THEY INFORMED ME THAT I WOULD NEED NEW ROTORS AND BRAKES BECAUSE FIRESTONE DID NOT PROPERLY PUT THE BRAKES BACK ON OR SOMETHING WITH THE BRAKER SLIDER BRIDGE. WELL COME TO FIND OUT FROM THE MANAGER AT FIRESTONE, THAT MY ROTORS SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE REPLACED AT SUCH LOW MILEAGE AND IT IS A MANUFACTURERS DEFECT FROM THE CHRYSLER CORPORATION. WELL I HAD TO HAVE THEM REPLACED BECAUSE I WORK AN HOUR AWAY FROM MY HOME AND DEPEND ON MY VEHICLES LIABILITY. I COULD NOT STAND DRIVING 2 HOURS EVERYDAY WITH CONSTANT VIBRATION. SO I PAID $288.00 TO HAVE MY ROTORS REPLACED AND FIRESTONE WAS KIND ENOUGH TO THROW IN THE BRAKES FOR FREE. WELL HERE IT IS OCTOBER 18, 2008 AND I AM STILL HAVING THE SAME EXACT PROBLEM. I CALLED CHRYSLER CORPORATION AND INFORMED THEM OF MY PROBLEMS AND THEY JUST DO NOT SEEM TO CARE. I HAVE BEEN THE ROUTE OF THE DEALER AND I KEEP GETTING THE RUN AROUND. WELL WHEN I STEP ON MY BRAKE MY VEHICLE SOUNDS LIKE IT IS REVVING UP AS IN ACCELERATION BUT STILL SLOWS DOWN, WHEN I MAKE LEFT HAD TURNS I HEAR A CLUNK IN THE STEERING COLUMN AND THAT HAS NOT BEEN ADDRESSED BECAUSE APPARENTLY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. I PURCHASED A NEW 2007 CHRYSLER SEBRING FROM A LOCAL DEALERSHIP ON MAY 30, 2007. ON JULY 25, 2007 I WAS DRIVING MY VEHICLE AND IT WAS SHAKING WHEN I APPLIED MY BRAKES. I IMMEDIATELY RETURNED THE CAR TO MY DEALERSHIP AND THEY HAD TO RESURFACE BOTH ROTORS AND RESURFACED BOTH REAR DRUMS. THE MILEAGE WAS 4108. IN NOVEMBER 15, 2007 I RETURNED MY VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP DUE TO BRAKE LIGHT COMING ON WHEN COMING DOWN ANY HILL. VIBRATION WAS ALSO NOTED AT THIS TIME. DEALER CHECKED AND STATED THEY COULD NOT FIND A PROBLEM. ON MARCH 24, 2008 I WAS COMING OFF A HILL FROM MY JOB SITE WHEN MY BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON THE CAR WAS MAKING A GRINDING SOUND AND I WAS UNABLE TO STOP AT THE LIGHT IN THE INTERSECTION DUE TO BRAKE FAILURE. THE DEALERSHIP DID A ROAD TEST AND ADVISED THAT THE BRAKES WERE PULSATING WHEN HOT. PULLED BRAKES AND HAD TO REPLACE BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS DUE TO DETERIORATION. ON JUNE 9, 2008 WHILE DRIVING THE INTERSTATE MY CAR BEGAN TO SHAKE WHEN I WOULD APPLY THE BRAKES. WHILE EXITING FROM THE FREEWAY I WAS UNABLE TO STOP AT THE INTERSECTION. THE BRAKES WERE MAKING A GRINDING SOUND AND DID NOT ALLOW ME TO STOP AT THE STOP SIGN IN THE INTERSECTION. ONCE AGAIN I HAD NO BRAKES. I RETURNED THE CAR TO MY DEALERSHIP IMMEDIATELY AND THEY CHECKED THE BRAKES. THEY ADVISED ME THAT THEY NEEDED TO RESURFACE THE ROTORS THAT WERE REPLACED BY THEM IN MARCH 2008. AFTER IT WAS RESTARTED AND THE CONTACT DEPRESSED THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL, THE VEHICLE HESITATED FOR 15-20 SECONDS BEFORE ACCELERATING.
