Car runs great when I bought it used then had check engine light come on for a P0420 trouble code and it has something to do with the converter on the car well now I see that there is a recall for this about the converter #u90 is there any way my car is having this problem due to the reclaa but when I put my vin in it says it doesn't have a recall but when u read online it says recalls are for 2014-2016 dodge darts but my vin is showing no recalls??

The contact stated that the vehicle was initially taken to the dealer for an unknown recall repair related to oil consumption however, the contact stated that while driving, she constantly noticed a burning fuel odor throughout the vehicle. The contact also stated that the check engine warning light and tire pressure warning light were intermittently illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving, the temperature gauge increased rapidly and the engine overheated. The vehicle was towed to the residence where her father placed the vehicle on a diagnostic machine, but the cause of the failure could not be determined. The vehicle was not repaired. The engine consumes a lot of oil and there is no warning light to inform you of this occurring. This can cause a fatality if the engine seizes, due to this consumption, on a highway.

Recall Number A0C and NHTSA Recall Number 25V-674 has yet been addressed by the dealer or manufacturer. I contacted the dealership back in October of 2025 when learning about the recall at which time I was told there was no remedy as of yet. We are now in April of 2026 and there remains no remedy for a recall that imposes a risk of losing control of the vehicle's movement which ultimately will and can lead to a crash.

When i want to turn off my car, the key gets stuck in ACC and does not turn to off. The key wont turn all the way off gets stuck, even though I am in parking. I saw that their is a recall for this and their is no answer for this yet or remedy I mean. But it has been happening to my car every single day, every single time I drive and I am very scared for my safety. Especially when having kids or other people in the car with me.

The vehicle’s gear shifter intermittently locks in the Park position, preventing the key fob from being removed from the ignition. When this occurs, the shifter must be manually wiggled back and forth to release the key. This malfunction poses a potential safety risk, as the driver may be delayed in exiting or securing the vehicle in certain situations. The issue occurs intermittently and has not yet been inspected by a dealer or service center. No warning lights or messages appeared prior to the malfunction.

Vehicle was traveling northbound when green light turned red. Steady press of the brakes revealed the brake pedal had no travel. Pumped and held brake pedal to try to stop. Pedal gave way after vehicle entered the intersection causing collision with another motor vehicle. No warning lights or issues indicating the brakes may fail. The previous years of vehicle appear to have a recall specifically for hard brake pedal, but not the 2015.

The brake booster failed mid drive leaving us without any braking assist, which means to stop the car, it took a lot longer to come to a stop which is a significant safety concern. There is a loud hissing noise only when applying the break. You can find air being blown out of the booster when you press the pedal. Brake assist is completely gone, so even keeping the car stopped while in drive requires significant pressure. Communicated with a local dodge dealership and they weren’t able to give an answer on the issue. This car shows that it was manufactured 03/15 There was a previous recall for this same model, but a year earlier. There does feel as if there is oil on the plunger of the booster. This was part of the previous recall. And as it says in the previous recall, there are no parts available to repair this. Recall: [XXX] Chrysler Group LLC (Chrysler) is recalling certain model year 2013-2014 Dodge Dart vehicles manufactured February 27, 2012 to January 23, 2014 and equipped with either a 2.0L or 2.4L engine. In affected vehicles, engine oil from the vacuum pump may seep into the brake booster, damaging a component within the brake booster. Recall consequence Internal damage to brake booster could result in a loss of brake assist, lengthening the distance needed to stop the vehicle and increasing the risk of a crash. Recall action Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the brake booster grommet for the presence of oil. If no oil is found, the vacuum tube assembly will be replaced. If oil is found, the vacuum pump, vacuum tube assembly, brake booster and master cylinder will be replaced. Parts are not currently available to remedy the vehicles. Owners will be sent an interim notification and then will be sent a second notice when remedy parts are available. The manufacturer has not yet provided a notification schedule. I have a problem with my brakes and I took it to a shop. The mechanic told me I had oil in my vacuum line to the break booster causing it to fail. The 2013 and 2014 models of my car has a recall for this problem but the 2015 was not included.

Brake Booster failed, no ABS, no traction control, no electronic braking assist. I've read where this has been recalled in Darts in 2013 models. Master Cylinder and Vacuum pump may also be bad.

Upon inspection, Power Brake Booster failure, my safety is at Risk due to not having brakes, the issue it has been a confirmed in older models from 2013-2014, recall R63, it has been inspected by an expert and a message pops saying Service Electronic Brake System with code C0021

I was notified in November 2025 that the transmission shift cable in my 2015 Dodge Dart was being recalled. There was no remedy at the time, however it is now the end of March 2026 and a remedy remains unavailable. This has put my safety and the safety of others on the road at risk because, per the safety recall notice I was sent, "[failure of the transmission shift cable] can cause an unexpected and unrecoverable loss of PARK function and/or vehicle movement in an unintended direction which can cause a vehicle crash without prior warning and/or injury to other outside the vehicle". I have re-confirmed with my local dealership that the remedy is still unavailable and had it inspected by their mechanics. There are no warning lights on the dash board relating to this issue; only the tire pressure sensor light remains. This is due to mission TPMS sensors that I've planned to address at a later time because they don't affect the car's ability to drive. I attempted to pay for the repair myself and submit for reimbursement, however was informed by a trusted mechanic that that was not possible because a better part has not yet been made. Replacing the malfunctioning cable might land me back in the exact same position I am in now and for my safety and that of others it was better to wait until the manufacturer found the remedy. That was over 2 weeks ago and the status remains the same. I find it incredibly irresponsible on the part of the manufacturer to allow this issue to continue for almost 6 months.

​(FIX INFO BELOW) The Issue: The ignition intermittently fails to rotate to the "OFF" position, locking the key fob in the column despite the vehicle being in "Park." This is a known flaw in the Dart’s sensitive electrical/shifter interface that can lead to total battery drain and theft risk. ​ ​<>Quick Fixes to Release the Fob<> ​I. The "Re-Park" Movement: Simply shifting gears is often not enough. Restart the engine, physically reverse the vehicle a short distance, then drive forward back into your space before shifting into park. The physical movement of the car is often required to reset the transmission sensor. ​II. The Twist: When you first park, try a quick, sharp twist to the "OFF" position immediately. Catching the system quickly sometimes prevents it from locking the fob. ​III. The Inward Firm Method: If already stuck, push the fob firmly inward toward the steering column (as if you are inserting your fob) while simultaneously twisting hard to the left. Repeat a few times before doing the re-park method to see if this will work for you first. Run/Acc>Off (be firm but if it doesn't work you're not trying to force/break it). ​<>Emergency Security<> ​If the tricks above do not work and you must leave your vehicle, you can still lock it and get back in. Make sure you apply your handbrake first just incase. - ​Physical Key Extraction: Locate the small release slide on the back of your key fob. You can slide the metal emergency key out even while the fob is stuck in the ignition. ​- Manual Locking: Use the door button, physical door locks or this metal key/a backup spare to manually lock the door/driver’s door from the in/outside. This prevents vehicle theft while the fob remains trapped. !!! Safety Conclusion!!! ​This issue highlights the volatile nature of the Dodge Dart's electrical system. While these workarounds are effective, the underlying sensor or shifter cable failure poses a recurring safety risk to owners.

I’ve noticed a few times where the key fob would get stuck in the ignition of the car when I turn it off, I would have to turn the car back on and sit it in for at least 5 minutes before the fob would come out. Then the bushing cable got disconnected, the key fob stopped working I had a buy a new one and I’m still having the same issue of the fob getting stuck in the ignition. The first this issue happened was in 2023 and it’s still happening, just found out that I can file a complaint about it

Key fob gets stuck in the ignition. I have to set in the car for about 10 minutes before it will release. I did take to have looked at and the ignition switch and fob was replaced. However, still doing the same thing. As I look on You Tube, I am not the only one having this problem with this car. I have been dealing with this issue and just finding out I can put in a complaint. I have attached copy of the receipt.

During a recent dealership visit for recall work and an oil change, a potential issue was identified involving improper fluid presence. On April 16, 2026, I brought my 2015 Dodge Dart to Ewald Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram for recall work and an oil change. Upon pickup, I immediately noticed a strong burning smell. Service representative Austin told me this was normal due to the recall work performed. On April 17, I began hearing new clinking noises from the engine that were not present before this visit. On April 18, an independent mechanic observed red fluid consistent with automatic transmission fluid rather than normal engine oil. I have photos and video documenting this finding. I returned to the dealership, where a second oil change was performed. I also have video showing dark oil being removed only two days after the first oil change. The dealership denied wrongdoing and stated the vehicle arrived in that condition. No warning lights or similar symptoms existed before the April 16 service visit. All symptoms began immediately afterward. Incorrect or contaminated fluid can cause inadequate lubrication of engine components, overheating, engine damage, or sudden mechanical failure while driving, creating a safety risk to myself and others. The dealership has denied responsibility and refused to provide requested service records. Due to this experience, I no longer trust the dealership to further inspect or repair my vehicle. Should any engine damage arise as a direct result of incorrect fluid used during this service visit, the dealership should be held fully responsible for all repair costs

My Dodge Dart with 2.4L engine was recalled for excessive oil consumption. On 09/09/2021 the vehicle was brought in for service and I was told the PCM was to be reprogrammed and that would fix the excessive oil consumption issue. I am now 3,000 miles after the PCM repair and I am still burning a quart of oil. I called the dealer, O'Daniel Automotive Group in Fort Wayne Indiana, on 01/28/2022 to speak with a service rep and was told they weren't available and I would get a return call. Today is 02/05/2022 and no one has returned the call.

The check air bag light has come on in the dash back in the fall of 2024. I took it to Tacoma Dodge in Tacoma Washington to have it repaired on October 11,2024. It was determined that the ORC module was at fault and the part was ordered. I took the vehicle back on October 30, 2024, to have the part installed. I had to bring the vehicle back to Tacoma Dodge on November 5, 2025 because the air bag light had come back on. It was determined that the OCM module (seat weight sensor) was bad. I was notified on December 11, 2025, by Tacoma Dodge that the part needed was no longer available. I bought the car new in October of 20215, and it currently has 52712 miles on it. How can a manufacturer discontinue a part that is part of the SRS?

The contact owned a 2015 Dodge Dart. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH another vehicle merged into the lane the contact was traveling in, causing the contact to drive off the road. The vehicle was airborne and rolled several times. No air bags deploy. The vehicle had several damages and was towed. No other vehicle was involved. The contact owned a 2015 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that while at a complete stop, she was rear-ended by a vehicle at approximately 45 MPH. White smoke emitted from the front driver-side air bag upon impact; however, the air bag failed to deploy. The contact, who was 16 weeks pregnant at the time of the accident, was transported to the hospital via an ambulance where she was treated for whiplash and a blackened right eye. She was later sent to a chiropractor for further examination due to ongoing neck and back pain suffered from the accident. The contact stated that all tests related to her pregnancy came back clear. The other driver was drunk at the time of the accident and was arrested, they did not suffer any injuries. A police report was filed. The vehicle was taken to a Ford dealer where they assessed for damages and deemed the vehicle a total loss. The contact also notified Brad Deery Motors(112 N 2nd St, Maquoketa, IA 52060) about the accident but they offered no assistance; she was referred by the dealer to the NHTSA. The manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 120,000.

Airbags did not deploy during a crash. At Fault driver came into my husbands lane and hit him causing severe front end damage. Insurance company has now totaled my vehicle, no warning lights on at all prior to crash. My husband now has whiplash from the accident.

The dodge dealership had me to come in to reprogram my cars pcm(under Recall) because it was burning a quart of oil in less than 300 miles and getting extremely hot but now the engine has less oil burn as much as before but has less horsepower(tested by plugin meter) and has a ton of blowby that it blows oil out of drain plug there is no error codes or anything but the extended warranty test for a new engine isnt covered because they reprogrammed the pcm and to get a new engine under their extended warranty i would have to lose the amount of oil that i was previously before they touched the PCM they waited to show me the extended warranty after they reprogrammed it a year prior withholding that i could been eligible for new engine without catastrophic damage this car also has bcm 3 that has severe parasitic drain making the car unsafe all the way around on all 2015 models

The electrical has a parasitic drain and it puts so much strain on the car that it will shut down on highways and in idle surging and it has no error codes popping up at all it originally started happening July 12th 2016 but a lot of these 2015 dodge darts are having these issues and having shut downs in the middle of intersections-highways and so on that this needs to be urgently recalled I desperately need help with this i take care of my disabled mother by myself and this has been a issue with this car for a while and well documented at the dealership with no help or recourse

The car stalls completely at random speeds and consumes a huge amount of oil. This stalling is extremely dangerous as it happens at even highway speeds. This is not a unique problem as I have read hundreds of accounts of the exact same thing happening on the exact same vehicle type.

I am having an intermittent, no communication with TCM, Active stabiliy control light comes on, the vehicle feels like it pops into neutral jarring the vehicle and once this happens i have code U0101 in PCM,ABS, ESM, BCM,IPC,RFH along with a U11C2 code in the PCM. also sometimes when this happens if i turn the vehicle off it won’t start again. I have not brought it to the dealership as i can’t afford it, but 2013-2015 dodge dart has a recall for the tcm because of the tcm bracket, causing almost ever issue my vehicle has. And i was told it is engine specific but the 1.4,2.0, and 2.4 all came with the same TCM and bracket. I aquired this vehicle 2 months ago and i have had the issue intermittently since i got it. i am a mechanic over 10 years and i have replaced the alternator due to the vehicle not starting after being parked. that seemed to fix the issue but several days later it happened again. then i had no issue with a no start again until today. I replaced all the star connectors due to having communication codes in so many modules. and oddly enough i had no issues for several days, then the ASC light came on and the vehicle jarred again but it only had a U0101 code in the ABS module and sometimes the PCM but no other modules and also the problem was not happening daily like before i would go several days without a issue i would clear the codes and had no issue the rest of the day. until today i just started the vehicle and while parked the light came on and i scanned it and it had codes in 6 modules again and it is now doing it back to back and i turn the engine off to clear the codes and they won’t clear and also the vehicle won’t start but if i cycle the key and open the door several times it allow the codes to eventually clear and the vehicle to start but shortly after the light comes back on and i have the same issue again. and it seems to happen mainly when i have a passenger.because the tcm is on the passenger floor board.

THE CONTACT CALLED GENGRAS CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (460 CONNECTICUT BLVD, EAST HARTFORD, CT 06108, (860) 289-0246) AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE PART WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE LOCAL DEALER FOR A TEMPORARY REMEDY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 66,000.

WHILE DRIVING DOWN MY STREET AND ACCELERATING, THE CAR STALLED OUT. NO WARNING LIGHTS ON DASH. HAD A HUNCH AND CHECKED THE OIL. IT WAS NEARLY BONE-DRY. THE CAR IS USING OIL AND WILL COMPLETELY DIE WHILE DRIVING. WHEN IT BECOMES EMPTY IF I COME TO A STOP IT WILL COMPLETELY DIE AND I LOSE ALL POWER STEERING AND THE CAR STRUGGLES TO TURN BACK ON. DODGE IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE ON SO MANY DARTS AND NOTHING IS BEING FIXED. THIS ENGINE NEEDS TO BE RECALLED! TWICE BETWEEN OIL CHANGES THIS LAST TIME I HAVE BEEN COMPLETELY EMPTY. Every since July 12th, 2016 25,993 I’ve had this car checked for electrical problems at the dealership and they always say they can see the drain but they couldn’t help but the problem has been tracked down to the body control module #3 electrical that stays on drawing 1.5amps every second and surges and tons of other people have the same issue as me proof all over the internet also it leaks a ton of oil out of the pvc into the intake coating the map sensor making it idle rough

TAKATA RECALL: WHILE I WAS LEAVING WORK FOR BREAK, IT STARTED TO POUR DOWN RAINING SO I DECIDED TO PULL INTO A DRIVEWAY AND TURN AROUND BUT MY CAR WOULDN'T GO IN REVERSE, AFTER SO MANY ATTEMPTS OF TRYING I TRIED TO GET IT TO GO IN PARK AND WHEN I DID THE CAR KEPT MOVING TOWARD THE STREET OFF THE SIDE WALK. SO SINCE IT WAS STILL ABLE TO DRIVE I PULLED OUT OFF THE CURB AND WENT BACK TO WORK AND TRIED GETTING IT TO STOP BUT IT KEPT MOVING SO I TURNED THE CAR OFF. AFTER THAT I WAS NO LONGER ABLE TO START MY CAR AND MY KEY REMOTE WAS STUCK IN THE IGNITION. COWORKERS CAME TO SEE WHAT THE ISSUE WAS AND TOLD ME THERE'S A RECALL WHEN THEY GOOGLED IT. MY CAR SHUT OFF ON ITS OWN WHILE I WAS DRIVING TO WORK, SO WE WERE IN MOTION. IT HAS NOW HAPPENED 4 TIMES TO ME IN A SPAN OF 3 WEEKS. I CAN EITHER BE DRIVING DURING THE DAY OR NIGHT. IT WILL HAPPEN IN THE MIDDLE OF DRIVING OR WHEN I COME TO A STOP SIGN AND ADDING PRESSURE TO THE BRAKE. ONCE IT HAPPENS, AND IF I PUT IT IN PARK AS WELL, THE STICK SHIFT WILL LOCK UP AS WELL. I RECENTLY NOTICED THAT BOTH FRONT TIRES FROM MY DODGE DART 2015 HAVE A HUGE BULGE, I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER AND SAID THAT WE HAVE TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER OF THE TIRE WHICH I WILL DO AFTER I POST THIS COMPLAIN. PEOPLE AT THE DEALER AND AT SEARS (DAYS AFTER I WENT FOR A NAIL IN ONE TIRE FROM BEHIND) SAID THE SAME TO CONTACT MANUFACTURER AND THAT IT SHOULD HAVE WARRANTY. DRIVING HOME FROM MY PARENTS HOUSE MAYBE A MILE AWAY FROM HOME AIR PRESSURE GAUGE LIGHT ILLUMINATED WE LIVE LESS THAN A MILE AWAY FROM LOCAL GAS STATION THAT HAS AIR PUMP. WE DROVE MY WIFE AND THREE KIDS TO THE GAS STATION TO GET AIR IN THE DEFLATED TIRED AS SOON AS THE LIGHT ILLUMINATED. AS WE APPROACHED THE GAS STATION LITERALLY 150 FT AWAY, THE CAR STARTS TO SHAKE AND RUMBLE ON THE DRIVERS SIDE LEFT TIRE. JUST HAD THE CAR AT THE DEALER LAST SATURDAY WITH NO MENTION OF ISSUES WITH THE TIRES. UPON INSPECTION THE SIDEWALL OF THE KUMHO KH25 TIRES WAS CRACKING. UPON FURTHER INSPECTION YOU CAN SEE NOTICEABLE WEAR ON THE SIDE WALLS OF THE OTHER TIRES. CAR STARTED TO RUMBLE FOR ANOTHER 20-30 FEET BEFORE WE WERE ABLE TO PULL OVER TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD AND EVALUATE. THIS IS PRETTY UNACCEPTABLE TO ME KUHMO TIRES HAVE APPARENTLY HAD A PRETTY BAD REPUTATION HERE IN THE US WHY ARE MANUFACTURES STILL USING THIS COMPANY?!?! THIS IS A DAILY DRIVER I AM ON THE SAME ROADS CONSTANTLY THE ONLY VARIANT IS ONE SET OF TRACKS THAT I TRAVEL OVER ONCE A WEEK...THERE IS NO WAY THIS WAS CAUSED FROM NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR ON A CAR THAT HAS 9K MILES ON IT.

INFORMED TIRES HAVE WEAK SIDEWALLS, BUT STILL DEFECT HAD TO BE LISTED AS ROAD HAZARD, NO MARKS OR DAMAGE TO WHEEL OR TIRE AND WASN'T BROKEN DOWN FOR EXAMINATION. WE HAVE TO PAY $200.00 FOR NEW TIRE. CONTACTED YOKOHAMA WAS TOLD WHAT EVER DEALER SAYS IS LAW, THEY DO NOT CONFIRM DEFECTS, NOR DO THEY CARE ABOUT DOING SUCH.

On 3/18/26 i reported a serious safety issue involving my vehicle, which currently has an open manufacturer recall with no available remedy. The vehicle has experienced multiple dangerous and malfunctioning conditions. First, the vehicle intermittently displays a dashboard message indicating that the vehicle is "not in park" even when it is clearly in the park position. When this occurs, I am unable to turn the vehicle off. I have had to wait approximately 15 minutes before the vehicle will allow me to shut it down.Second, while driving at approximately 40 mph, including while exiting the highway, the vehicle has stalled and completely shut off while in motion. This has occurred multiple times and created a significant safety risk due to sudden loss of power during active driving. Additionally, the vehicle frequently displays a message stating "engine warming, please wait to start," even when weather conditions are warm. Most recently, at approximately 70 degrees outside, the vehicle would not start and continued to display the message. I waited approximately one hour attempting to start the vehicle before it randomly started. These issues appear to be worsening. I attempted to schedule repair for the open recall, but I was advised by the manufacturer that there is currently no remedy available. Due to the vehicle stalling in motion and preventing proper shutdown and startup, I believe this represents a serious safety defect that puts me and others at risk.The vehicle previously experienced stalling while driving in motion. I brought the vehicle in for a recall repair on 01/27/25. #U90 2014-2016 at davis moore After the recall repair, the stalling condition improved; however, the vehicle began experiencing additional serious issues including the vehicle not recognizing the park position, inability to shut off, and intermittent failure to start with "engine warming" messages. These ongoing defects continue to affect the safe and reliable operation of the vehicle.

The ECM/Throttle Positioning System has been faulting for a while and only getting worse causing the car to just randomly steal with no power. Usually can shut off and restart car and itll be good for 1 min - 30 min you never really know. I got stranded in the middle of the highway and couldn't start my car after it died while driving down the road.

I was driving the other day dropping off food for a customer and as I shifted my car from park to drive it wouldn’t change gears. Now let me remind u I’m stuck in the middle of these strangers driveway as they’re trying to leave their home and I cannot switch into reverse so I had to keep my foot on that break pedal the entire time. Thank god they were very understanding ( because who knows what could’ve happened) and said they were leaving for something that wasn’t very important and would go another day. Come to find out it was my CABLE SHIFTER WHICH I HAD ALREADY HAD REAPIRED PREVIOUSLY AS A RECALL. I haven’t even been able to drive the car because it will not shift into any gear. It’s currently just sitting across the street in my apartment complex as I have no way to work or anywhere for that matter. I called the same dealership (I took it to the first time I had the recall done)as soon as the incident happend to see if I could just get it repaired AGAIN (which I shouldn’t have to) and they told me that there was no way I was gonna be able to drop my car off at the dealership because they were extremely backed up so it would take 4 WEEKS before they could have anyone even look at the car. I described what it was doing over the phone to him and he said it most definitely was the cable shifter. And not only that but he also told me that even with it sitting here or there they don’t even have the part to fix the vehicle at the moment.This isn’t even the least of issues with this vehicle that I haven’t even owned for 2 years.There were never any warning lights or anything that popped up on the dashboard.

On my way home early morning I lost full function of my car. Luckily I was pulling into my home but my car would not go in any other gear but reverse. I could not properly put it in park or cut it off. Now it would turn on because it cannot shift into any gear. If I had made one more stop before heading home I could have been in a very bad accident or worse. This happened on 12/1/25. I immediately put on my parking break and chocked my wheels. I called the recall line for Dodge. We called several dealerships that are refusing to look at it the car because no repair is available. This recall notice was originally sent by email from CarFax in October and it's very serious. This recall notice should tell people not to drive the car but it doesn't. I finally receive a notice a few weeks ago by mail that says there's still no fix. On both 12/4 and 12/6 I called the recall line for resolution or a rental. Each time being told to contact a dealership and that I would hear back from something in 24-48hours. Each time I was also informed that nothing was actuallY being done to handle my case and it was just sitting but that whoever I was currently talking to would get it resolved. Today 12/9 I called again and was told the exact same thing. Only that today is was allegedly really assigned to something and i would receive a call back in a day. It's been nine days without a vehicle. I still have car payment for a car I now cannot drive due to no error of my own. I have taken all the steps to remedy this to no avail.

AT TIMES THE VEHICLE WOULD MAKE A CLUNKING NOISE WHILE TURNING LEFT OR WHEN ACCELERATING. ALSO AT TIMES, AT HIGHWAY SPEED, THE VEHICLE WOULD VIBRATE. ON AUGUST 17, 2017, I WAS STOPPED TO YIELD FOR A VEHICLE CROSSING A ONE LANE BRIDGE. THIS BRIDGE WAS FLAT AND SMOOTH, WITH A CURVE AROUND TO THE LEFT IN MY DIRECTION OF TRAVEL. I STARTED MOVING TO GO OVER THE BRIDGE AND WAS TRAVELING BETWEEN 5-10 M.P.H., AS I APPROACHED THE LEFT CURVE, I STARTED TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL SLIGHTLY LEFT IN ANTICIPATION OF THE CURVE. THE STEERING WHEEL BECAME NON RESPONSIVE AND I WAS UNABLE TO STEER MY VEHICLE AND THE VEHICLE KEPT GOING LEFT, CAUSING ME TO IMPACT A CURB AND GUARD RAIL, AGAIN ON THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT. THE BODY SHOP SAID I HAD TO HAVE HIT SOMETHING TO SNAP THE BRAND NEW CONTROL ARM. I HIT NOTHING PRIOR TO IMPACT WITH THE CURB AND GUARD RAIL. IN MOTION - ON I-75 EXPRESSWAY, ENTRANCE RAMP MERGE. COULD HAVE BEEN LIFE THREATENING OR FATAL TO STALL WHILE MERGING ONTO EXTREMELY BUSY EXPRESSWAY. WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS ABOUT THIS SAME TYPE OF ISSUE, SHOULD THE THROTTLE BODY BE CHECKED FOR PROBLEMS AND POSSIBLE RECALL??? I SPENT 3 HOURS ON THE SIDE OF THIS EXPRESSWAY WAITING FOR A TOW BECAUSE THE CAR WAS NOT DRIVEABLE.

TAKATA RECALL I BOUGHT A DODGE DART 2015 UNDER THE FACTORY WARRANTY AND EXTENDED WARRANTY ON THE DAY OF JULY 19, 2016. AFTER THE 3 DAYS THE CAR STOP WORKING WHEN I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AT STOPLIGHT. I CALLED A TOW TO TAKE IT TO MY AUTOMARKET TO FIX THE PROBLEM. THE DIAGNOSTIC WAS THE GAS BOMB PROBLEM WHICH ITS COVERED AS THE AUTOMARKET SAID. ONE WEEK LATER DODGE CRAYSLER RAM CALLED ME TO SAY THAT WHEN THEY OPENED THE GAS BOMB THE MECHANIC FOUND WATER INSIDE SO SOME PARTS WERE CONTAMINATED AND THE FACTORY WARRANTY DOESNT COVERED. THEY SAID THAT THOSE THINGS HAPPENED AND IS NOBODY FAULT BUT I HAVE TO PAY THEM FOR THE SERVICE A TOTAL OF 1140 DLLS WHICH I DON'T HAVE . MY DEALER WHO'S MAZDA EL CAJON DOESN'T WANT TO USE MY EXTENDED WARRANTY EITHER AND ALSO WANT ME TO PAY. I HOPE YOU CAN HELP WITH THE PURCHASE OF MY FIRST CAR THANK YOU

Sometimes I can smell like a gas or oil smell in the cabin of the car only happens when I take sharp turn or a bump in the road and sometimes by itself can't be good having this smell in the cabin and people breathing it.

When the oil life in this vehicle gets low the vehicle randomly stalls. This week my vehicle stalled in the middle of an intersection putting me at risk of bodily harm. I had to have my car towed to the dealership because it would not start. After speaking with the service person at the dealership they said that this is a "safety feature" to protect the engine. This is not the first time this has happened, but it is the first time my vehicle wouldn't start at all.

THE 2015 DODGE DART WAS PURCHASED IN SEPTEMBER OF 2018 WITH 35,000 MILES ON IT. IT HAS BEEN REGULARLY MAINTAINED HAD HASN'T HAD ANY ISSUES UNTIL NOVEMBER 9, 2019. THE CAR WAS STARTED THAT MORNING AND IDLED APPROXIMATELY 2-3 MINUTES, IT DROVE ABOUT 60 FEET AND STALLED, POWER STEERING AND BRAKES WHERE LOST. THE BATTERY LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED ON THE DASH BOARD. WHEN TRYING TO RESTART IT STRUGGLED, BUT EVENTUALLY TURNED OVER. IT THEN DROVE FINE . I WAS DRIVING AND CAME TO A 4 WAY STOP SIGN, AFTER COMPLETELY STOPPING I PROCEEDED TO PULL OFF. MY CAR HAS 1550 MILES ON IT. IT WAS PARKED IN MY CAR PORT WITH SHIFT IN PARK. I STARTED THE CAR AS NORMAL. It’s been having trouble starting. It started with the air conditioning going out, then it would stall in the middle of driving there are some fuses that are burnt up. And some wires in vehicle that are burnt up. When we have trouble starting jumping the vehicle would start it but still would try to stall. Finally the vehicle started stalling on us the power steering is out and we had to pull over we thought jumping it would just kick it back on til we got home. But when we tried it wouldn’t start and where the electrical fuel is it started smoking like it was going to catch fire. And I am having to find a way to get it into shop. But for now it’s left where we got stalled out.

THE FOLLOWING DAY IT DIED AND MY FATHER IN LAW HAD TO JUMP THE VEHICLE OFF TO GET IT GOING. TODAY, (2/17/17), I DECIDED TO DRIVE THE CAR TO WORK BECAUSE MY COMMUTE IS SHORTER AND MUCH LESS DANGEROUS. I PULLED OUT OF MY DRIVE WAY AND DROVE TO THE END OF THE ROAD TILL I GOT TO THE MAIN STREET IN OUR HOMETOWN, AND IT DIED THANKFULLY BEFORE I GOT ON THAT STREET. THE CAR JUST COMPLETELY STOPS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. IN ADDITION, WHILE DRIVING, ALL THE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED, FLICKERED, AND TURNED OFF ONE BY ONE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE FAILED TO ACCELERATE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER FOR DIAGNOSTIC TESING OR REPAIRS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 70,000.

I HAD JUST CAME HOME AND RAN INTO MY HOUSE TO GRAB SOMETHING AND IMMEDIATELY RETURNED BACK TO THE CAR AND WHEN I STARTED THE ENGINE AND ATTEMPTED TO PUT MY CAR INTO DRIVE THE LIGHT ON THE GEAR SHIFT FOR NEUTRAL LIT UP. THE CAR IS NOW STUCK IN NEUTRAL AND THE KEY WILL NOT COME OUT OF THE IGNITION DUE TO IT BEING IN NEUTRAL. WE HAVE CALLED SEVERAL NUMBERS FOR DODGE AND THEY ARE TELLING US THAT THE CAR IS NOT QUALIFY FOR THE RECALL BECAUSE THE VIN IS NOT SHOWING UP WITH A RECALL EVEN THOUGH THE SIGHT SHOWS THAT THERE IS A RECALL FOR THE EXACT ISSUE FOR 2011 - 2015 DODGE DARTS. I STARTED MY VEHICLE THIS MORNING AND IT STARTED ROUGH AND WAS SURGING. AT TAKEOFF THE VEHICLE WAS DRIVING STRANGLY. SLOWED TO MAKE A UTURN, TURNED TO THE LEFT SLIGHTLY AND MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED, CAR SHUT DOWN AND WAS BARELY ABLE TO BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN. I ALMOST RAN A MAN OVER TRYING TO STOP AS I COULD NOT STEER. THE BATTERY SYMBOL POPPED UP ON THE DASH. I POPPED CAR IN PARK. REMOVED KEY. RESTARTED VEHICLE AND IT TOOK A GOOD 5-10 SECONDS BEFORE TURNING OVER. THERE WAS HESITATION UPON START. THE PROBLEM WITH THE VEHICLE IS THAT THE CLUTCH PEDAL GOES STRAIGHT TO THE FLOOR AND STAYS THERE, THE ONLY WAY TO GET IT TO THE UP POSITION IS TO REACH DOWN OR USE YOUR FOOT. THE MASTER CYLINDER OF THE BRAKE SYSTEM WAS BELOW THE MINIMUM LINE. NO BRAKE WARNING LIGHT OR ANY OTHER WARNING/CAUTION. THE CLUTCH WENT TO THE FLOOR. THE INCIDENT HAPPENED I WAS ON A 7 LANE CITY STREET DURING RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC I WAS DRIVING AND EVERYTHING WAS NORMAL. I WAS THE FIRST VEHICLE IN LINE WHEN I TRY TO START GOING THE CLUTCH FELT LIKE IT WAS SLIPPING IN FIRST GEAR WHICH IS HIGHLY UNUSUAL FOR MY VEHICLE BECAUSE FIRST GEAR HAS ALWAYS BEEN VERY TOUCHY.. PUSHING IN THE CLUTCH PEDAL DID NOTHING IT'S STAY STUCK TO THE FLOOR. IN THE MIRROR I SEE THAT THE VEHICLE BEHIND ME ALMOST RAN INTO ME AND ALMOST CAUSED A HUGE PILE UP BEHIND ME BECAUSE OF THE HESITATION OF MY VEHICLE I WAS NOT ABLE TO MOVE THE VEHICLE OUT OF THE LANE WITHOUT HELP FROM A FELLOW CITIZEN THAT WAS DANGEROUS IN ITSELF. AS I WAS DRIVING, I SLOWED AND BRAKED FOR OTHER VEHICLES AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. AS I STARTED TO RE-ACCELORATE, I REALIZED THE CAR HAD STALLED. AFTER I GOT HOME, I DECIDED TO TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER. THIS TIME, THE CAR DROVE FAIRLY NORMALLY WITH ONLY THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ON. THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN ONLY 3600 MILES. (THE FIRST TIME WAS AT APPROX. 280 MILES AND THE SECOND TIME WAS AT ABOUT 500 MILES.) THE DEALER'S SERVICE WRITER IMPLIED SINCE THIS CAR HAS AN ELECTRONIC THROTTLE CONTROL, IT WAS MY DRIVING STYLE AT FAULT. SAME SENARIO, BATTERY LIGHT ILLUMINATED BLACK PANEL AND LOSS OF STEERING. TOOK 10 MINUTES FOR CAR TO REGAIN POWER AND START. THIRD EPISODE AT ABOUT 45 MPH, BATTERY LIGHT FLASHED, I SHOVED SHIFT INTO NEUTRAL, PANEL REMAINED LIT, BUT NO RPM SO ENGINE HAD QUIT. I PUSHED START BUTTON, ENGINE RESTARTED AND I PUT SHIFT LEVER INTO DRIVE. TOOK TO DEALER BUT NO CODES. WHILE DRIVING IN THE MORNING IN A NEIGHBORHOOD SPEED LIMIT OF 30, I DECREASE SPEED TO COME TO A FULL STOP AND SUDDENLY THE VEHICLE SHUTS OFF ENGINE POWER AND POWER STEERING AT APPROXIMATELY 10MPH. VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO START UNTIL THE 3RD ATTEMPT. HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO DEALER AND THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE ISSUE UNTIL THE VEHICLE STALLED THE 2ND TIME. THEY UPDATED PCM/TCM, BUT STILL HAD STALLING ISSUES. THIS VEHICLE HAD STALLED OVER 5 TIMES AND THE DEALER WERE NOT ABLE TO PIN POINT THE ISSUE. MY VEHICLE IS NOW AT APPROXIMATELY 15,400 MILES. I FEEL LIKE I'M ON THE EDGE AND UNSAFE EVERY TIME I GET BEHIND THE WHEEL. ALSO HAD TROUBLE WITH THE AUTOMATIC HEADLIGHTS NOT TURNING ON AND AS WELL AS THE REAR PASSENGER WINDOWS NOT CLOSING.

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle vibrated and failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. In addition, there was an abnormal sound coming from the engine. The contact stated that while starting the vehicle, an abnormal sound was heard. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic; however, no cause for the failure was found. The contact stated that the spark plugs, ignition coils, catalytic converter, and oxygen sensors were replaced. The failure persisted and had progressively worsened. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic. The vehicle was diagnosed with DTC: P0304 (Misfire in Cylinder #4). The contact was informed that the catalytic converter was turning red from overheating. The contact stated that there was an abnormal fuel odor coming from the engine and entering the vehicle through the A/C vents. The contact was informed that the air-fuel ratio was off due to an imbalance. The vehicle was not repaired due to the cost. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

Car started to misfire and sometimes accelerate by itself ended up spending over to 3000 on mechanic and dealership to ended up have to rebuild the ECM because dealership after pay them close to 2000 said the ECM was discontinued so it was nothing they can do about it so my local mechanic ended up sending the ECM to be rebuilt and it worked but after spending over 3000 so this car need to be recalled and reimburse all this money spent

I have a warning light on my car for P1065 and P1061 codes. These two codes comes and go away on their own. It usually occurs after starting the car and driving it for a few minutes. This causes the car to shake and slow down suddenly in the middle of the road. The car stops to shake only when I shut it off and turn it back on right away. Another issue is that my car key get stuck in the ignition sometimes after shutting it ofand I have to wait a few seconds for the key to come off or press the button on the gearshift handle a few times to make it come out. I wonder if this is related to the Transmission Shift Cable Bushing safety recall repair that was done a few years ago on dodge dart vehicles Lastly, I have been getting the "parking light out" warning messages on my car dashboard but all the light appears to be working fine. I have looked up these issues online and they appear to be common problems faced by Dodge Dart owners.

APRIL 6, 2017 LOSS OF POWER COMPLETED DIED, I COULD NOT JUMP IT, COULD NOT LOCK MY DOORS, COULD NOT DO ANYTHING. PICKED UP CAR FROM DEALERSHIP ON APRIL 10, THEY SAID THAT THEY CHANGED THE BATTERY. WHILE STILL THERE PICKING UP MY CAR, MY BLINKER LIGHTS BLEW OUT, NOTIFICATION ON THE SCREEN SAYS RIGHT & LEFT BLINKER LIGHT OUT. THEY SWITCHED OUT THE BULBS. GOT IT HOME & NOTIFICATION SAID LOW BEAM LIGHTS OUT. THE NEXT MORNING HAD NO LIGHTS. TAKING TO THE DEALERSHIP AGAIN TOMORROW. I AM FORCING THEM TO LOOK AT THE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM I AM CLOSE TO MY 36000 MILE WARRANTY.

My car kept dying on me randomly flashing a light on my dash of a lightning bolt in between two curved lines. I researched it and it was saying that my throttle positioner was going out.

TPMS SYSTEM FAILURE (MULTIPLE TIMES) I HAVE HAD MY TPMS SYSTEM REPAIRED THREE TIMES SINCE I HAVE OWNED MY VEHICLE AND IT NEVER FAILS THAT IT STOPS WORKING AGAIN SHORTLY AFTER GETTING IT FIXED. I HAVE NO IDEA IF THIS IS CONSIDERED A SAFETY ISSUE BUT IT COULD BE FOR SOME PEOPLE THAT DON'T PAY ATTENTION TO THEIR TIRES. THE RIGHT CV AXLE HAS ALSO GONE OUT OF MY CAR AT APPROXIMATELY 70,000 MILES. THIS ITEM WAS COVERED BY WARRANTY BUT OTHER FRIENDS THAT OWN DARTS HAVE MENTIONED HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM. IT CREATED A BAD POPPING NOISE AND MADE GOING OVER BUMPS SLIGHTLY UNSTABLE. TRANSMISSION SHIFT CABLE -- THIS IS ACTIVE RECALL ON MY VEHICLE BUT FIGURED I WOULD INCLUDE THE INFORMATION.

The driver was able to drive to an independent mechanic, where the vehicle was diagnosed, and it was determined that the brake booster needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. A dealer was not contacted. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V800000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the previous year, make and model were not included. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 59,386.

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Dart. The contact stated while driving 25 mph, there was an abnormal popping sound coming from the brake pedal. The brake pedal stiffened and was difficult to be depressed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic and diagnosed that the brake booster was faulty and there was brake fluid leaking from the brake booster. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 50,000.

I ALSO HAVE PUT ON THREE SETS OF ROTORS DUE TO THE SHAKING AND EVEN WITH BRAND NEW ROTORS THE BOUNCING AND SHAKING WILL NOT GO AWAY. THE NEWEST PROBLEM NOW IS THE BRAKES NOT WANTING TO WORK. I HAVE HAD THEM CHECKED BY MECHANICS AND THEY SAY THERE'S NOTHING TO DO BUT CHANGE THEM OUT AGAIN!

WHEN BRAKING, BRAKES FEELS HARD AND REQUIRE SIGNIFICANTLY MORE FORCE TO ACTIVATE. A HISSING SOUND IS OCCURRING AND BRAKE FORCE WILL OFTEN NOT ENGAGE UNTIL HALFWAY INTO THE PETAL. THE ISSUE HAS BEEN RESOLVED BY MY MECHANIC, BUT ACCORDING TO HIM AND SOME RESEARCH I'VE DONE ONLINE, THIS SEEMS EXACTLY LIKE AN ISSUE WITH THE DODGE DART 2013 RECALL FOR THE SAME PART. AS TAKEN FROM DODGE'S SITE: THE BRAKE BOOSTER ON YOUR VEHICLE MAY EXPERIENCE ENGINE OIL MIGRATION FROM THE VACUUM PUMP, THROUGH THE VACUUM SUPPLY TUBE, AND INTO THE BRAKE BOOSTER. PROLONGED BRAKE BOOSTER DIAPHRAGM EXPOSURE TO ENGINE OIL COULD CAUSE THE DIAPHRAGM TO FAIL. THIS COULD LEAD TO A LOSS OF BRAKE BOOSTER ASSIST AND/OR AN AIR LEAKING SOUND. A LOSS OF BRAKE BOOSTER ASSIST COULD REQUIRE THE DRIVER TO APPLY ADDITIONAL BRAKE PEDAL FORCE TO STOP THE VEHICLE. THE LACK OF BRAKE BOOSTER ASSIST COULD CHANGE THE BRAKING CHARACTERISTICS OF THE VEHICLE AND CAUSE A CRASH WITHOUT WARNING. I HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING PRETTY MUCH EVERY RECALL THAT IS ON THE LIST NUMBER ONE IT STARTED WITH MY CAR CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMING ON. AND THE CODES THAT KEPT ON COMING UP OR FOR THE PLUGS AND COILS. I WOULD REPLACE THEM AND THEY WOULD JUST GO BAD AGAIN IN LIKE A WEEK IT IS CAUSING MY CAR TO DO WHAT SEEMS LIKE IT'S MISFIRING. MY TIRE LIGHT IS STUCK ON WHEN THE TIRES ARE FINE. THE SPEED CONTROL STOPS WORKING ON AND OFF. WHEN I STEER THERE'S A LOUD CLICKING NOISE. WHENEVER I TRY TO SHIFT HERE LATELY SOMETIMES IT WON'T GO INTO GEAR. THE RACETRACK TAIL LIGHT ON MY 2015 DODGE DART HAS HAD A SEAL ISSUE CAUSING WATER TO GET BEHIND THE LENSE AND CAUSING THE LED LIGHT TO BURN OUT. NOT ALL OF THEM. I'VE SEEN MULTIPLE DODGE VEHICLES WITH THE SIMILAR ISSUE. HOPEFULLY SOMEONE CAN GET THEM MOTIVATED TO GET IT FIXED.

The contact owns a 2015 Dodge Dart. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the brake pedal was depressed and the vehicle started rolling forward. The contact depressed the brake pedal more forcefully and shifted the gear shifter into park; however, the vehicle continued rolling forward. The contact then activated the parking brake, and the vehicle stopped. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The contact stated that the failure was a persistent failure. During the most recent failure, the vehicle crashed into the gate at the residence before coming to a complete stop. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V674000 (Power Train); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was unknown.

I am the original owner of this vehicle and have used this vehicle as my primary vehicle that has been well maintained in excellent mechanical condition with no accidents. The issue is the continuous flexing of the wire harness routed from the truck to body opening which continues to wiring shorts and breakage resulting in failure of the rear back up lamps, rear taillamp lighting and back up camera operation. Failure of these critical safety related items provide increased risk of personnel injury and property due to loss of rear visibility to the vehicle operator along with disabling the back up light signature to warn surrounding vehicle traffic of intended backup maneuvering leading to personnel injury and vehicle collision. A caution signal of backup lamp outage appears on the instrument panel along with continued outage and flicking of the rear camera function. This wire harness has been repaired at the Chrysler Dodge dealership multiple times via a deductible warranty charged to vehicle owner, never resolving the failure from once again reoccurring. Recently the rear camera and backup lamps have again failed which the Chrysler dealership has identified as being within the previously repaired wire harness. Due to the multiple times the dealership has attempted to make repairs, the dealership service records now state the wiring failures can no longer be repaired due to the poor harness condition. These aforementioned safety lighting /rear lighting devices are no longer functioning and vehicle service being denied. Repairs to this wire harness have only been made at the Chrysler dealership. This wire harness is a well known problem area to owners and a "nuisance problem" to vehicle repair technicians. A more robust harness design and routing engineered to account for wire harness flexing to account for typical trunk open/closing to maintain the expected integrity and operation of these safety items.

The vehicle was then taken to AAMCO where it was diagnosed that the valve cover gasket was leaking oil into the engine and onto the transmission. The mechanic also informed the contact that there was a cord hanging from the bottom of the vehicle but could not determine where the cord needed to be connected. The vehicle was not repaired. Shop is replacing brake booster, had to pay out of pocket (same as recall R63, but my model year did not fall into it), just wanted to report in hopes that this model year will fall into the recall, and prevent this happening to others! " The brake booster on your vehicle may experience engine oil migration from the vacuum pump, through the vacuum supply tube, and into the brake booster. Prolonged brake booster diaphragm exposure to engine oil could cause the diaphragm to fail. This could lead to a loss of brake booster assist and/or an air leaking sound. A loss of brake booster assist could require the driver to apply additional brake pedal force to stop the vehicle. The lack of brake booster assist could change the braking characteristics of the vehicle and cause a crash without warning."

The contact and his son then noticed that there were flames coming from underneath the vehicle. The contact and his son were able to extinguish the fire. No police report was filed. I have had so many problems with this vehicle. I have had to replace two coils, had the air conditioner fixed, had to replace my rear shocks, which caused me to have to buy two new rear tires, the windshield wiper motor was replaced, my car was burning oil until I got a recall for that. Now my blower fan for the heater is not working, I only have 66000, miles on this car. All these issues could really cause dangerous problems. When my 1st coil went out I couldn't get my car restarted in the middle of town. When the 2nd coil went out my car would barely move and this happened before I got the recall for the engine oil problem. Now I will have to repair the blower fan because the defroster and heat aren't working.

ANOTHER TIME THEY ASKED COULD THEY KEEP THE VEHICLE OVER NIGHT AND HAVE A MECHANIC DRIVE THE CAR HOME AND BACK TO WORK. THE NEXT DAY WHEN I WENT TO GO PICK UP MY VEHICLE THEY SAID THEY KINDA-SORTA GOT THE CAR TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM THOSE WERE THERE EXACT WORDS. THEN THEY PUT A MONITOR IN MY CAR THEY TOLD ME TO PRESS THE BUTTON WHILE I WAS DRIVING IF THE CAR WAS TO GO OUT SO THEY CAN RECORD THE PROBLEM. THE MONITOR WAS IN MY CAR FOR ABOUT A MONTH AND MY CAR DIDN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. A FEW WEEKS AFTER THEY TOOK THE MONITOR OUT MY CAR CUT OFF ON ME AGAIN AND TOOK IT BACK TO THE SHOP AND THEY RAN THE SAME TEST AND THEY COULDN'T FIGURE OUT WHAT'S WRONG WITH IT. ANOTHER TIME MY CAR WENT OFF I TOOM IT BACK TO THE SHOP AND IT JUST SO HAPPENED THAT MY CAR WAS HALFWAY EMPTY ON OIL AND THEY'RE TELLING ME THAT MY CAR IS CUTTING OFF BECAUSE IT NEEDS OIL AND THEY WERE GOING TO MONITOR THE OIL. WHILE DRIVING, THERE WAS A SNAP AND A LOSS OF POWER BRAKES. ACCORDING TO THE REPAIR REPORT FROM DODGE, BRAKE FLUID FROM THE MASTER CYLINDER LEAKED INTO THE POWER BOOSTER CAUSING LOSS OF POWER BRAKES. THIS CAR IS A LITTLE OVER A YEAR OLD AND JUST OUT OF THE WARRENTY AT 37,000 MILES AND SINCE WE BOUGHT IT WITH 20,000 MILES ON IT, DODGE WOULD NOT HELP WITH THE REPAIR COST. THE 2013 AND 2014 DODGE DARTS WERE RECALLED FOR OLI LEAKING INTO THE POWER BOOSTER, BUT THIS APPEARS TO BE A FAILED MASTER CYLINDER. I'VE HAD EXPERIENCE WITH MASTER CYLINDERS OVER THE YEARS AND ALWAYS GOT MORE THAN A YEAR OUT OF A BRAND NEW MASTER CYLINDER. MAYBE I GOT THE ONLY FLUKE DODGE DART MASTER CYLINDER PROBLEM, OR MAYBE DODGE HAS BEEN PUTTING SUB-STANDARD BRAKE PARTS ON THESE CARS FOR YEARS. I SAVED THE OLD PARTS JUST IN CASE. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 DODGE DART. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 10-15 MPH, THE BRAKES FAILED TO ENGAGE WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED. THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE OF THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE COLLIDED WITH THE REAR OF A TRUCK. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THE "PARKING LIGHT OUT" WARNING KEEPS COMING ON. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP THREE DIFFERENT TIMES AND EACH TIME WAS TOLD IT WAS FIXED. THE "FIX" LASTED FOR ABOUT A WEEK AND THEN THE WARNING MESSAGE WOULD RETURN. THE WARNING SHOWED UP AGAIN TODAY AFTER ABOUT A MONTH OF BEING OFF. ALSO, ALL THE TIRES HAVE EXTREME PRESSURE LOSS. IT WILL GO FROM 42 PSI DOWN TO 10 PSI OVER NIGHT WITH OUT ANY NOTICEABLE DAMAGE. AFTER INSPECTION THERE WAS NO APPARENT HOLES OR DAMAGES TO ANY PART OF THE TIRE. THE DEALERSHIP HAS REPLACES THE TIRES MULTIPLE TIMES AND THE PROBLEM CONTINUES. PARTIAL PRESSURE LOSS, BETWEEN 4 AND 10 PSI OCCURS DURING NORMAL DRIVING RANGE. HOWEVER, A SIGNIFICANT LOSS, BETWEEN 20 TO 30+ PSI, IS WELL THE VEHICLE IS IN PARKED STATE OVER A PERIOD OF REST USUALLY AROUND 6 TO 8 HOURS. MULTIPLE OF EVENTS NOTED BETWEEN APR 2015 AND NOV 2016.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE CAR STARTED SHAKING WHEN I REACHED 65 MPH. WHEN I GOT TO 70 MPH, IT STOPPED I THOUGHT I WAS OKAY BUT I WASN'T. ABOUT 3 DAYS LATER, I WAS DRIVING ABOUT 60MPH AGAIN AND MY CAR STARTED TO DRIFT INTO THE DIRT WHILE I WAS GOING BACK HOME. I TRIED RE-CENTERING MY CAR TO THE CENTER, BUT MY STEERING WHEEL LOCKED ONCE MORE AND I STARTED GOING INTO THE DIRT. I SLAMMED ON MY BRAKES AND LUCKILY I WAS ABLE TO STOP BEFORE I HIT A TREE. I PURCHASED MY 2015 DODGE DART ON JANUARY 19, 2015. THE VEHICLE CURRENTLY HAS APPROXIMATELY 1800 MILES ON IT. THIS MORNING WHEN BACKING OUT OF MY DRIVEWAY I TURNED THE STEERING WHEEL TO BACK INTO THE ROAD. WHILE TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL I HEARD A RUBBING AND A SLIGHT CLANKING SOUND. TO GIVE A LITTLE BACKGROUND ON MY EXPERIENCE. ONE OF MY JOB FUNCTIONS IS DRIVING NEW VEHICLE'S TO LISTEN FOR UNIDENTIFIED INTERIOR NOISES. I ALSO INSPECT NEW VEHICLE'S FOR ANY TYPE OF EXTERIOR PAINT DEFECTS, BODY PANEL FIT AND ALIGNMENT, PAINT SEEDS, CHIPS, ETC...I BASICALLY INSPECT THE VEHICLE'S BEFORE THEY ARE SHIPPED TO THE DEALER. I WORK FOR A TOP AUTOMOTIVE MAKER. I HAD TO DRIVE AROUND TOWN FOR SEVERAL HOURS TODAY RUNNING ERRANDS. MAKING OF SHARP TURNS AT STOP SIGNS, INTO PARKING SPOTS, ETC...THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TO MAKE THIS SOUND ALL DAY AS I MADE ANY SHARP, LOW SPEED TURNS. THIS VEHICLE HAS NOT PREVIOUSLY MADE THIS SOUND OR ANY SOUND SIMILAR, UNTIL TODAY. I BELIEVE THERE IS A DEFECT SOMEWHERE IN THE SUSPENSION OR STEERING COLUMN.
