After calling my local Honda dealership I was denied services. Due to my vehicles airbag already being deployed in an accident. Honda manger stated no work will be done since my vehicles already has deployed airbags. Would have been the case since I bought the car off a salvage auction, with the airbags deployed.

The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the air bag and check engine warning lights illuminated. The dealer was made aware of the failure but confirmed that parts were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 200,346. Parts distribution disconnect.

In November 2019 my key fob became inoperable and I called a local Conicelli Honda dealer in Conshohocken, PA to see if they could replace it. They said they could replace it so I took my 2007 Honda Accord there to purchase a new key fob. When I spoke to the service person she informed me that I would have to get the airbag recall issue addressed also and that it would be no charge to have that done. So I agreed. Now years later I'm still receiving the airbag recall notices. Can you help me?

I have taken my car for the airbag recalls in the past. A few weeks ago, after taking the car to a car wash, the airbag icon came on my dash. I had it put on a diagnostic machine and it showed AIR BAG:FRONTAL:DRIVER SIDE:INFLATOR MODULE. The local Honda dealership will not fix it unless I pay out of my pocket. I don't feel like I should have to pay for a repair and I'm concerned that the airbag won't deploy in an accident.

WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN AT LOW SPEED (10 MPH) AND GETTING BACK UP TO SPEED ON THE HIGHWAY (55MPH SPEED LIMIT), THE VEHICLE LOST THE POWER CONNECTION TO THE WHEELS. THE ENGINE WAS REVVING AS THE GAS PEDAL WAS BEING DEPRESSED, BUT THE CAR WAS SLOWING DOWN. SHIFTING THE TRANSMISSION TO DIFFERENT GEARS (FROM D TO D2, D1) DID NOTHING. THE HIGHWAY WAS 2 LANES AND THERE WAS NOT A LOT OF TRAFFIC, SO LUCKILY THE 2 CARS BEHIND ME WERE ABLE TO BRAKE AND SWITCH LANES AROUND ME WITHOUT CAUSING AN ACCIDENT, WHILE I WAS ABLE TO MANEUVER THE VEHICLE FROM THE LEFT LANE TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER. EVALUATION BY AN ASE CERTIFIED SHOP AT A LUTHER DEALERSHIP REVEALED THAT THE DRIVE SHAFT (DRIVERS SIDE) SNAPPED INTO TWO PIECES AT THE JUNCTION THAT IS INSIDE A RUBBER COMPONENT. THE SHOP DISCLOSED TO ME THAT THERE ARE TWO RECALLS OUT FOR THIS EXACT ISSUE BY HONDA MOTOR COMPANY, BUT MY SPECIFIC VEHICLE IS NOT PART OF THE RECALL. THERE ARE TWO SEPARATE RECALLS RELATED TO THIS PROBLEM PER CONSUMER REPORTS. THE 2013 THROUGH 2015 HONDA ACCORD SEDANS ARE PART OF RECALL #20V769. THE 2013-2015 ACURA ILX, 2013 ACURA ILX HYBRID, 2012 HONDA CIVIC HYBRID, AND 2007-2014 HONDA FIT VEHICLES ARE PART OF RECALL #20V770.

CAR BEGUN TO BEHAVE STRANGELY, SHIFTING LATE, TOO SOON, RANDOMLY, SO I TOOK IT TO 4 SHOPS HERE IN HOUSTON AND THE COMMON RESOLUTION OR OPINION FROM THE 4 MECHANICS IS THAT THOSE TRANSMISSIONS ARE TOO WEAK FOR THE ENGINE THE COME WITH, SO THEY ADVICE TO STOP DRIVING AND JUNK THE CAR, THAT TRASNMISSION SWAP GOES FOR 2400-4000$ AND I DONT HAVE THAT MONEY. NOW GOING BACK HOME THE CAR STARTED SLIPPING THE 4TH AND 3RD GEAR AND PUT ME IN RISK DUE TO THE FACT THAT I WAS ON THE HIGHWAY AND THE TRANSMISSION WENT FROM 4TH OR 5TH TO 2ND WHILE DOING 50MPH TO THE POINT I HAD TO STOP AND GET THE CAR TOWED, I ENDED UP JUNK ING THE CAR. Odometer Fraud. The contact owns a 2007 Honda Accord. The contact purchased the vehicle from a private seller on July 27, 2025. The contact stated that the advertisement and the odometer indicated that the mileage was 151,640. The vehicle was driven to the contact's residence. The contact purchased a Carfax report which indicated that the last service date was October 22, 2024, at the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicle, where the mileage was reported as 221,478. The seller was not made aware of the issue.

FIRST OF ALL I'M REALLY SURPRISED TO FIND OUT THAT HONDA DOES NOT HAVE A RECALL FOR THE A PCM - ECM POWER RELAY. THIS SHOULD BE A SAFETY ISSUE. BASICALLY WHILE DRIVING MY CAR IF I HAVE THE HEAT ON THE VEHICLE WILL TURN OFF WHEN I SLOW DOWN OR COME TO A STOP. IF I FLASH MY HIGH BEAMS THE CAR WOULD SHUT OFF (WHILE AT A STOP). FINALLY I TOOK MY CAR TO A FRIEND AND THEIR AUTO LINK TESTER READ P0685-ECM- PCM. HE TOLD ME TO TAKE IT TO A DEALERSHIP WHICH I DID AND HAD TO PAY FOR A DIAGNOSTIC AND THE AGENT THERE INFORM ME THAT THE SOFTWARE NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. NOW FOR 2 MONTHS I HAVE BEEN DRIVING MY VEHICLE THAT I HAVE OWN FOR OVER 10 YEARS, AND EVERY NOW AND THEN IT TURNS OFF ON ME WHEN I'M AT A RED LIGHT, STOP SIGN AND SOMETIMES WHEN I SLOW DOWN. THERE HAS BEEN 2 TIMES THAT I WAS ALMOST HIT FROM BEHIND BECAUSE THE VEHICLE TURNS OFF. FOR YEARS I HAVE ALWAYS PURCHASED HONDA ACCORD BUT WITH THEM NOT OWNING UP TO THINGS THAT ARE HAPPENING WITH THEIR VEHICLES AS FAR A SAFETY ISSUE I MIGHT HAVE TO LOOK INTO PURCHASING ANOTHER MAKE AND MODEL WHEN I PURCHASE MY NEXT VEHICLE. spark plug was ejected from cylinder head in #5 cylinder. I am continuing to have issues disspite having replaced that spark plug, and ignition coil twice so far. as well as repaired stripped threads by rethreading that cylinder. it overheats as well as rough idling and poorer driving perfomance.

My ac compressor started to scream or squeal very loudly then started to smoke as if a fire was about to start. so yes component failed or malfunctioned. yes its available for inspection. Safety was at risk due to possible car engine fire. no hasn't been confirmed. No one but myself has inspected & witnessed this. No warning or light appeared on due to this event ever.

The doors won’t unlock even though the key fob works (panic button goes off, headlights double flash when clicking lock button), however the door won’t unlock with the key fob button or the key itself, thereby leaving a person stranded outside in the cold in a potentially unsafe area. There is no way to get into the car in this situation. Very dangerous as my teenager was locked outside the car at 10:30 at night in 19 degree weather in a dark parking lot.

My power steering hose has 3 holes in it that not only makes it hard to turn on the road, but causes a huge spray of fluid all over the engine and covers everything under the hood. Then while I’m driving everything tries to burn off and it creates a horrible smell and on some cases, smoke.

BRAKES UNEVENLY HAVE WORN ON THE BACK, AND THERE APPEARS TO BE A CALIPER ISSUE AND THE BRAKE PADS DO NOT EVEN COVER THE ENTIRE SURFACE OF THE ROTOR. The contact owns a 2007 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at undisclosed speeds, there was smoke coming from under the hood. Upon inspection, it was discovered that the power steering fluid hose had failed causing the power steering fluid to leak into the engine compartment. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who diagnosed that the power steering hose needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer was contacted and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 12V222000 (Steering). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 320,000.

Upon inspection, it was discovered that power steering fluid had leaked from the power steering fluid reservoir. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who diagnose that the failure was due to a faulty power steering hose. The vehicle was not yet repaired. THE POWER STEERING ON MY CAR IS STIFFENING, IT'S HARD TO STEER. THE VSA LIGHT IS ON ALONG WITH CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I TOOK MY CAR INTO FINLAY HONDA IN FLAGSTAFF, AZ AFTER I FOUND THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE POWER STEERING. I HAD A NEW POWER STEERING PUMP PUT IN BEFORE I SAW THE RECALL NOTICE, SO THEREFORE I TOOK IT IN TO FINLAY HONDA BUT, RECALL WAS NOT PERFORMED DUE TO AN AFTERMARKET POWER STEERING REPLACED IN MY CAR. THE POWER STEERING PUMP WORKED OK FOR AWHILE, BUT IT IS BEGINNING TO STEER HARD AND I HAVEN'T BEEN DRIVING IT DUE TO THE SAFETY ISSUE. I CAN NOT AFFORD TO BUY A NEW PUMP AND HOSE FROM THE DEALER, AND BESIDES IT'S ON RECALL NO MATTER WHAT. THE POWER TRAIN AND THE TRANNY ARE IN GREAT CONDITION AND I WOULD LIKE TO KEEP ON DRIVING THIS GREAT VEHICLE AS LONG AS POSSIBLE. I TOOK MY 2007 HONDA ACCORD EX V6 COUPE INTO BOB HOWARD HONDA WHEN RECALL 12V222000 WAS PLACED ON MY CAR. THEY TOOK MY CAR IN AND SPENT WAY LONGER THAN IT SHOULD HAVE TO FIX MY VEHICLE. I was driving at a high rate if speed on the interstate and the car did not even give a warning before just would not go. It was like the car was not acknowledging the gas pettle. I could have died. It is a very dangerous problem. A friend of mine died from her Honda.

The contact stated that after shifting into drive(D) with the brake pedal depressed to the floorboard, the vehicle suddenly accelerated and crashed into nearby vehicles and structures. The contact was able to use the parking brake to stop the vehicle. The contact stated that she had smelled gasoline inside the cabin of the vehicle prior to the failure; however, the contact was informed that the odor was related to a faulty gas cap. No air bags had deployed. No warning lights were illuminated. A Police report was not filed. There were no injuries sustained. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19E068000 (Vehicle Speed Control) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 240,000.

Engine acceleration while braking. After a short 15 min trip I returned home and entered driveway which is sloped down hill. Depressed brake and engine RPM went from about 1000 to over 3000 RPM. Released brake for a sec and tapped accelerator. RPM went back down and brakes returned to normal. I thought that loose carpet on mat may have interfered with accelerator and I removed it. About 5 hr later I was travelling for about 20 min on 55 mph highway and approached a red light. I depressed brake and slowed down to 5-10 mph. Engine rpm again went up to 3000-4000 RPM, I put automatic transmission in neutral tapped accelerator and RPM returned to idle 800. This again occurred for 5 more times before I returned home. When I pulled into my drive way I slowly reached the end and put the car in park, set the emergency brake, and let it idle for about 30 sec. I then depressed the brake a little and the RPM increased from 800 to just over 1000. I then depressed the brake harder and the RPM shot up to about 4000. At no time was the accelerator depressed or moved. I shut off the ignition and attempted to duplicate the error but could not. I also checked all the vacuum lines from the brake booster for leaks. There were no warning lights and a scan did not indicate any trouble codes. I have not brought it to a dealer as I am seeing if I can reproduce and troubleshoot the problem. I am an engineer and have done all my auto service and repairs for close to 50 years. This includes rebuilding engines, transmissions (manual/auto), and electrical troubleshooting. I can assure you this is not due to floor mat interference or incorrect application of pedals.

I HAVE HAD THREE COOPER TIRES FAIL ALL CS4 MODELS. THE COMPLAINT IS ALL THE SAME, THE TIRE DEVELOPS A SIDE WALL LEAK AND CRACKS LEADING TO LOW PRESSURE AND TIRE FAILURE. EACH ONE FAILED AT 17K,15K & 22K MILES. IN EACH INSTANCE THE TIRE WAS REPLACED WITH THE SAME MODEL CS4 COOPER TIRE AND REPEATS THE SAME PROBLEM. EACH ONE WAS ON THE FRONT OF THE CAR AND THE OTHER TIRES WHICH ARE NON COOPER TIRES DO NOT HAVE THIS PROBLEM. THE TIRES ARE DEFECTIVE AND I WILL NO LONGER BUY COOPER TIRES.

THIS IS THE SECOND SAME SIZE COOPER TIRE THAT HAS FAILED THE SAME WAY IN THE SAME TIME FRAME. THE TIRE WAS PROPERLY INFLATED AND BEGAN TO LOSE AIR EVEN THOUGH IT HAD NO PUNCTURES IN THE TIRE. THE TIRE STARTED TO RUN LOW AND THE SIDEWALL CRACKED AND DID NOT DEFLATE BUT RAN WITH LOW PRESSURE. I NOTICED THAT THE TIRE WAS LOW BUT NOT DEFLATED. UPON EXAMINATION OF THE TIRE THE SAME CRACKS APPEARS ON THE SIDE WALL AND NOTHING WAS HIT THAT HAD ABRADED THE TIRE. BOTH TIRES WERE SIZE 215/50 R17 CS4 V XL BW 95 TL. BOTH TIRES LASTED APPROX 15-17K MILES BEFORE FAILING AND APPROX 2 YEARS IN EACH CASE. ONE WAS REPLACED BY THE TIRE DEALER ONLY BECAUSE I HAD BOUGHT THE TIRE PROTECTION POLICY AND THE OTHER WAS NO LONGER COVERED AS REPLACEMENTS ARE NO LONGER COVERED AFTER 12K OR 1 YR. 2007 HONDA ACCORD EX-L (IN EXCELLENT CONDITION) WAS PULLED INTO A PARKING SPACE AND STOPPED. WHEN DRIVER TRANSITIONED THE GEARSHIFT FROM DRIVE TO PARK, THE CAR SUDDENLY ACCELERATED, JUMPED THE CURB, CROSSED A (SOGGY) GRASSY MEDIAN OF ABOUT 10 FEET, AND CRASHED INTO A SECOND (PARKED) CAR WITH ENOUGH VELOCITY TO PUSH THE SECOND CAR INTO A THIRD (PARKED) CAR. ALL EFFORTS TO STOP THE HONDA IN ITS ACCELERATION WERE UNSUCCESSFUL. THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALERSHIP FROM WHICH IT HAD BEEN PURCHASED NEW AND SERVICED REGULARLY. AFTER THREE MONTHS OF HAGGLING, THE DEALERSHIP REPURCHASED THE CAR; HONDA, HOWEVER, REFUSED TO ACKNOWLEDGE ANY PROBLEM WITH THE CAR.

WHILE MAKING A TURN ONTO A HIGHWAY, OUR HONDA ACCORD HAD COMPLETE AND CATASTROPHIC FAILURE OF THE FRONT BALL JOINT WITH TOTAL LOSS OF STEERING. FRONT AXLE LITERALLY FELL ONTO THE ROADWAY AND FRONT LEFT TIRE WAS PERPENDICULAR TO THE CAR BODY AND KEPT US FROM BOTTOMING OUT. THANKFULLY NO OTHERS CARS IN IMMEDIATE AREA AND WE WERE NOT HIT BY ANOTHER VEHICLE. WE WERE ALSO DRIVING SLOWLY SO NO INJURIES EVEN THOUGH CAR WAS NOT ABLE TO BE CONTROLLED. CALLED HONDA AMERICA AND THEY SAID THIS IS A UNIQUE PROBLEM AND THAT THIS HAS NEVER BEEN AN ISSUE WITH THEIR CARS. HOWEVER MANY, MANY INSTANCES DOCUMENTED ON HONDA FORUMS ON THE WEB.

WHEN DRIVING THE CAR, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT FLASHED ON, THEN OFF. WE TOOK IT TO THE MECHANIC WHO FOUND NOTHING WRONG. A WEEK LATER, THE LIGHT FLASHED ON AND OFF AGAIN. ANOTHER TRIP TO THE MECHANIC AND THEN TO THE DEALER REVEALED THAT A SPARK PLUG HAD COME LOOSE AND BROKE APART CAUSING THE CYLINDER HEAD, CYLINDER WALL AND PISTON TO BE DAMAGED. THE FIX WAS THAT THE CAR BASICALLY NEEDED A NEW ENGINE (REPLACED SHORT BLOCK, CYLINDER HEAD, ALL SPARK PLUGS AND ALL NECESSARY GASKETS AND SEALS). DUE TO THE NUMBER OF MILES ON THE CAR (69K AT THE TIME OF INCIDENT), IT WAS NO LONGER UNDER WARRANTY. EVERYONE FROM THE MECHANIC TO THE DEALER SAID THEY HAD NEVER SEEN THIS HAPPEN BEFORE. HONDA DID END UP PAYING FOR A PERCENTAGE OF THE REPAIR, BUT OUR PORTION WAS STILL AROUND $2500. THIS WAS OUR FIRST HONDA, WE BOUGHT IT BASED ON REPUTATION AND BECAUSE WE PUT A LOT OF MILES ON CARS. WE NEVER EXPECTED TO HAVE TO REPLACE THE ENGINE AT THREE YEARS OLD.

Car revs up at a stop sign, red light, heavy traffic, recently when making right turn. While in heavy traffic, stop and go barely moving, car stopped with foot on brake, traffic not moving, car revved up extremely high, the harder I stepped on the brake the higher it revved up, as cars started to move I took my foot off the brake, car jerked forward fast and I hit another car. No injuries, no major damage. Have taken car twice to mechanic, can’t find anything. Called Honda dealer same day of incident and brought in the car the following morning for diagnostic test, received phone call some hours later and told they can’t find anything wrong. There have been no warning lamps, and it happens unexpectedly. It’s happened before but very low and you can drive for months with nothing happening. I’ve been driving all year but this last time was different and happened 7/8 times. Found out on the internet there have been 10 recalls in 2019 one was for Accelerator Pedal May Bind/FMVSS 124, but I’ve never received notification on any of the 10 recalls.

The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 89,000.

FOR THE SECOND TIME IN LESS THAN 2 YEARS A SPARK PLUG BLEW INTO THE ENGINE WHILE ATTEMPTING TO DRIVE, WE WERE GOING NO MORE THAN 50MPH WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND THE CAR COMPLETELY JUST SHUT DOWN. THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT CUT ON . HAVE TAKEN IT TO A NEARBY HONDA DEALERSHIP AND HAVE BEEN INFORMED THAT THE SPARK PLUG FLEW OUT OF PLACE AND THE ENGINE WILL NEED TO BE REPLACED. UNFORTUNATELY THIS IS THE SECOND INCIDENT WHERE THIS HAS HAPPENED. LAST YEAR IN 2016 THE EXACT SAME THING HAPPENED.

TESTING BY KIA SERVICE CENTER DONE ON JULY 13TH SAYS THE TORQUE CONVERTER IS GOING OUT AND REPAIRS WILL COST OVER $2,000 AND WILL STOP MOVING WHEN IT GOES OUT. THERE IS NO WAY TO ESTIMATE HOW LONG BEFORE IT BREAKS DOWN. THE VEHICLE HAS LESS THAN 60,000 MILES ON IT AND HAS BEEN WELL CARED FOR AND MAINTAINED. I BOUGHT THIS CAR ABOUT 2 MONTHS AGO THEN THE LIGHT CAME ON. RESEARCH SHOWS THE SAME ISSUE WITH THE 2003 - 2004 HONDA ACCORD THAT OCCURS BEFORE 60,000 MILES. ON A SIX HOUR VACATION TRIP, I BEGAN TO EXPERIENCE ACUTE MIDDLE BACK PAIN. I HAD BEGUN A NEW JOB ABOUT A YEAR PRIOR TO THIS TRIP, IN WHICH I MADE COMMUTES OF ABOUT 1 HR. AND 15 MINUTES ROUND-TRIP ON 4-5 DAYS A WEEK. I HAD NOTICED OVER THE COURSE OF MY NEW COMMUTE THAT MY CAR SEAT BECAME INCREASINGLY UNCOMFORTABLE. HOWEVER, WHILE ON THIS LONG SIX HOUR TRIP, ABOUT 3 HOURS INTO THE TRIP I BEGAN TO FEEL SEVERE BACK PAIN. I DON'T THINK WE HAD TAKEN A REST BREAK BY THIS POINT IN THE TRIP. IT BECAME UNCOMFORTABLE FOR ME TO REST MY BACK IN THE SEAT, AS MY MIDDLE VERTEBRAE FELT VERY SENSITIVE TO THE TOUCH. IT THEN BECAME MORE DIFFICULT TO SIT IN A CHAIR FOR MORE THAN A FEW MINUTES, AND OF COURSE THE DRIVING POSTURE BECAME INCREASINGLY PAINFUL AND UNCOMFORTABLE. AFTER SOME CHIROPRACTIC TREATMENT, THE INTENSITY OF THE PAIN HAS LESSENED, BUT THE DISCOMFORT HAS NEVER FULLY GONE AWAY. IN RECENT MONTHS A PHYSICIAN HAS TREATED MY BACK PAIN BY WITH A PRESCRIPTION STRENGTH TOPICAL NEURO/INFLAMMATION OINTMENT. THE PHYSICIAN HAS NOT YET GIVEN A SPECIFIC DIAGNOSIS TO MY CONDITION, BUT THE PAIN AND DISCOMFORT SEEMS TO BE LESSENING VERY GRADUALLY. WE WERE DRIVING, AND THE PASSENGER SIDE AND SEAT AIRBAGS DEPLOYED BUT DID NOT INFLATE. THE PASSENGER SEATBELT IS NOW PERMANENTLY LOCKED SO YOU CAN'T EVEN HAVE ANYONE IN THE PASSENGER SEAT. THE SRS UNIT AND SEAT BELT LOCKING UNIT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THERE HAVE BEEN 8 RECALLS ON THE 2007 HONDA ACCORDS REGARDING THE AIR BAGS. THERE WERE RECALLS ON THE 2008 - 2009 HONDA ACCORDS SRS UNIT WHERE HONDA DID REPLACE THE SRS UNITS FOR FREE. THIS 2007 HONDA ACCORD WAS PURCHASE IN JULY OF 2007 AND BY JULY OF ANY YEAR THE NEXT YEARS MODELS ARE ALREADY OUT ON THE CAR LOTS AS WELL. SINCE 2008 HONDA ACCORDS WERE ALREADY ON THE LOTS THERE IS A CHANCE THAT THE SAME SRS UNIT THAT WAS RECALLED IN THE 2008 - 2009 HONDA ACCORDS COULD BE IN MY 2007 ACCORD. THE HONDA SERVICE GUY WORKING MY TICKET ASKED WHEN WAS THE CAR IN A FRONT END COLLISION. MY CAR HAS NEVER BEEN IN A FRONT END CAR COLLISION. HE SAID THAT THIS IS USUALLY WHEN THESE CODES HAPPEN. THE CODES MEAN THAT THE AIRBAGS HAVE BEEN DEPLOYED WHICH THEY HAVE NOT. MY MOTHER AND I HAVE BEEN THE ONLY OWNERS AND I HAVE BEEN THE ONLY DRIVER. HONDA OF AMERICAN SAID "AT SOME POINT AND TIME THE OWNER HAS TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR REPAIRS". I HAVE FOR ALL REPAIRS THAT HAVE BEEN DONE TO THE CAR, BUT WITH ALL THE RECALLS AND THEM STATING "THEY WOULDN'T HAVE REPLACED AIRBAGS IN A CAR WHEN THE AIRBAGS HAD NO CHANCE OF DEPLOYING". THAT IS EXACTLY THE CASE IN THIS INSTANCE. THE AIRBAG CODES WERE DISPLAYED AND DIAGNOSED BEFORE THE AIRBAGS WERE REPLACE WITH THIS LAST RECALL. AS LONG AS THE CHECK AIRBAG LIGHT IS DISPLAYED THE AIRBAGS WILL NOT DEPLOY. THE HONDA SERVICE TECH SAID THIS. HONDA STATES "IF THEY GET ENOUGH COMPLAINTS AND COME TO THE CONCLUSION THAT THE PARTS ARE DEFECTIVE THEN THEY WILL REIMBURSE ME". HOW MANY COMPLAINTS DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE BEFORE THERE THERE IS AN INVESTIGATION TO SEE IF THE PARTS ARE DEFECTIVE.

MY HONDA ACCORD HAD A RECALL FOR BOTH DRIVERS SIDE AND PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAGS. I CALLED THE HONDA DEALER CLOSEST TO ME TO SET UP AND APPT. TO GET THEM REPLACED. TOOK MY CAR INTO THE RYAN HONDA DEALERSHIP AND THEY PERFORMED THE WORK IN A COUPLE OF HOURS. WHEN I LEFT THE DEALERSHIP, WHICH WAS AT THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT CLOSING TIME, I NOTICED MY SEATBELT/AIRBAG LIGHT WAS ON, AND WOULD NEVER GO OFF (THIS LIGHT WAS NOT ON BEFORE I HAD THE PARTS REPLACED). I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO EXPLAIN TO THEM THAT THE LIGHT CAME ON AFTER THE AIRBAGS WERE REPLACED AND WILL NOT GO OFF. THEY TOLD ME THAT MY SEATBELT SENSOR WAS OUT AND THAT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THE AIRBAGS! WELL, MY SEATBELT SENSOR WAS NOT OUT BEFORE THEY DID THE WORK ON MY CAR. NOW, I'M LEARY THAT THE AIRBAGS WERE NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY OR SOMETHING BECAUSE OF THE LIGHT BEING CONSTANTLY ON. I DO APPRECIATE HONDA SENDING THE AIRBAG RECALL AND FOOTING THE BILL, BUT DON'T THINK IT'S FAIR TO GO INTO THE DEALERSHIP AND SOMETHING ELSE GETS MESSED UP AND I HAVE TO PAY TO GET IT REPAIRED AT MY EXPENSE.

DUE TO THE RECENT RECALL OF AIR BAGS HONDA HAD PURCHASED BY A CERTAIN MANUFACTURER AND THE TIME FRAME BEING ALLOWED TO HONDA TO RECTIFY, I FELT THE NEED TO UPDATE MY COMPLAINT. THE IMPACT TO THE CAR IN FROM WAS SO MINIMAL THEY DID NOT HAVE A DENT, OUR AIRBAGS DEPLOYED AT 30-35 MPH, READING OTHER COMPLAINTS, YES THE SOUND WAS HORRIFIC, LIKELY TO HITTING A BRICK WALL, THE SEAT BELT TENSION ROD SNAPPED AT THE IMPACT, MY EYELASHES WERE BURNT AND AT THE TIME I REPORTED THE COMPLAINT I WAS UNDER THE IMPRESSION THAT I HAD SUFFERED TWO HERNIATE DISC'S FROM THIS. FAR WORSE, ONE DISC HAD HERNIATED SO BADLY IT WAS PRESSING AGAINST MY SPINAL CORD, I WAS AT A 50% RISK OF BECOMING COMPLETELY PARALYZED. I HAD CERVICAL DISC REMOVAL SURGERY. The car was in a very minor incident. It rear ended another vehicle at low speed. There were scratches as the only damage to the vehicles. Despite this very low impact, the seatbelts went off with smoke and no longer function. The safety systems light (airbag, seatbelts) is now on. The car is no longer safe to drive because the front seat belts (both buckled, passenger's was only occupied by a backpack) are locked up and reeled in.

MY AIR CONDITIONING STOPPED WORKING IN JUNE OF 2010. WHEN TURNED ON, WARM AIR CAME OUT. WHEN I BROUGHT IT TO THE SHOP TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM, I WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A HOLE IN THE AIR COMPRESSOR AND THE UNIT REQUIRED REPLACEMENT TO FIX. THE DAMAGE, AS STATED BY THE REPAIR TECHNICIAN, WAS CAUSED BY "A ROCK OR SOMETHING" THAT WAS KICKED UP FROM THE ROAD WHILE OPERATING THE VEHICLE, AND MADE A HOLE IN THE COMPRESSOR. THE HOLE CANNOT BE REPAIRED, THEREFORE, THE COMPRESSOR REQUIRES REPLACEMENT. THE ESTIMATE GIVEN FOR THE REPAIR WAS $1,044. THE TECHNICIAN INDICATED THAT THERE WAS NOTHING PROTECTING THE CONDENSER UNIT FROM BEING HIT BY ROAD DEBRIS, AND IT IS ABSOLUTELY A DESIGN FLAW ON THE PART OF HONDA. IF SOMEONE IS UNABLE TO AFFORD THE REPAIR COST, THIS BECOMES A HEALTH CONCERN. WHEN I WAS DRIVING TO A DOCTOR APPOINTMENT 1 HOUR AWAY IN JULY ON A 98 DEGREE DAY, I SUFFERED MILD HEAT STROKE FROM HAVING TO DRIVE FOR AN HOUR ON THE HIGHWAY WITH THE SUN BEATING DOWN ON THE CAR AND THE HEAT RISING UP FROM THE HOT PAVEMENT AND SURROUNDING VEHICLES ON THE ROAD. I HAD TO SEEK AN ALTERNATE ROUTE HOME USING BACK ROADS SHADED BY TREES IN ORDER TO AVOID SUFFERING FROM HEAT STROKE AGAIN, AND THIS CAUSED A MAJOR INCONVENIENCE AS IT TOOK ME 2 HOURS TO GET HOME. IT IS APPARENT THAT THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN RECURRING IN ACCORDS SINCE AT LEAST THE EARLY 2000'S, AND HONDA IS BEING NEGLIGENT BY NOT ADDRESSING IT. THIS IS A DEFINITE DESIGN FLAW THAT HONDA SHOULD ADDRESS WITH A RECALL, AS IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THE SIMPLE ADDITION OF SOME TYPE OF SCREEN CAN REMEDY THE SITUATION AND SAVE A LOT OF TROUBLE AND COSTLY REPAIR BILLS FOR THE CONSUMER. WHEN THE CAR WAS UP ON THE LIFT YOU CAN SEE WHERE THESE HUGE OPENING ALLOWING ANYTHING TO ENTER AND DAMAGE THIS EXTREMELY FRAGILE MATERIAL THIS A/C CONDENSER IS MADE OF. MY INCIDENT OCCURRED IN THE SUMMER AND I ONLY CAN IMAGINE HOW MANY PEBBLES WILL RUIN MY A/C CONDENSER WHEN WINTER COMES AND THEY START SANDING THE ROADS HERE IN COLORADO. NOW, 4 YRS AND 45K MILES LATER ANOTHER TIRE IS SPLITTING APART ALONG THE EDGE OF THE TREAD AND SIDEWALL, WITH THE OTHER TWO STARTING TO SHOW SIMILAR BUT LESS SEPARATION. I HAVE ALREADY HAD TO REPLACE THE DRIVERS SIDE POWER WINDOW MOTOR. THEN IN JULY WHILE MY CAR WAS PARKED FOR A WEEK I CAME BACK FROM VACATION USED THE REMOTE TO UNLOCK THE CAR AND IT WOULD NOT WORK. I HAD TO MANUALLY UNLOCK THE DOOR. THEN REALIZED THAT THE ONLY POWER WINDOW THAT WORKS NOW IS ONLY THE DRIVERS SIDE. 2007 HONDA ACCORD EX V6 COUPE. FIRST FAILURE INCIDENT CAME AT AROUND 88,000 MILES ON THE CAR. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND SAID IT WAS DUE TO AN OXYGEN SENSOR BANK 2 SENSOR 1. REPLACED THE OXYGEN SENSOR AND THE CODE DISAPPEARED. AT ABOUT 96,000 MILES THE SAME ERROR CODE CAME ON. DID SOME RESEARCH AND FOUND THAT THIS WAS COMMON AMONGST THIS MODEL ACCORD AND ENGINE V6. AFTER ABOUT 5,000 MILES OF DRIVING ON THIS CODE WITH A NEW OXYGEN SENSOR, THE CEL(CHECK ENGINE LIGHT) FLASHED. I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY IN ABOUT 70 DEGREE WEATHER AND TRAVELING AT 65 MPH. AFTER PULLING OVER TO CHECK THE CAR, THE SPARK PLUG AND COIL PACK HAD BLOWN COMPLETELY OUT OF CYLINDER NUMBER 5..(ANOTHER COMMON ISSUE FOR 2007 HONDA ACCORD V6). HAVE NOT TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR COSTS, BUT THE ENTIRE ENGINE WILL NOW HAVE TO BE REPLACED. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL OUT FOR THIS AS IT WILL NOT CAUSE ME TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE ENGINE. WHEN STOPPED FOR A TRAFFIC SIGNAL, CAR BEGAN TO VIBRATE AND SHAKE VIOLENTLY TO A BOOMING BASE NOISE. THE LEVEL OF SOUND: LOUDER THAN STANDING BY THE SPEAKERS AT A ROCK CONCERT. THE VOLUME HURT MY EARS; IT WAS EASILY LOUD ENOUGH TO CAUSE HEARING DAMAGE FOR A PROLONGED EXPOSURE. I'VE WORKED IN A MACHINE SHOP, AND I KNOW LOUD. (I ASSUMED SOMEONE WITH A MEGA STEREO AND SUB-WOOFER PULLED UP ALONGSIDE ME. MY RADIO WAS OFF, AND I HAVE A STOCK SYSTEM, NOT CAPABLE OF THIS MAGNITUDE OF SOUND.) ON THE WAY HOME, I STOPPED BY A HONDA DEALER, AND THEY SAID THEY HAD NEVER HEARD OF SUCH A THING. THE SERVICE ADVISOR MENTIONED IT MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE ANC, OR ELECTRONIC NOISE CANCELLATION, WHICH IS USED TO PRODUCE OPPOSITE SOUND WAVES TO CANCEL OUT ENGINE AND ROAD NOISE, CREATING A QUIET CAB ENVIRONMENT. I ASKED IF THE SYSTEM HAD THE POWER TO SHAKE THE CAR, AND SHE RESPONDED YES. I WAS STOPPED AT A LIGHT, SO THE ONLY DANGER WAS TO MY HEARING. I became the 2nd owner of this car. My ownership had been a blessing because of the 1st owner having such a profound history of care and maintained. I randomly had a misfire in my cylinder 2. I took my car to EL Cerrito Honda in El Cerrito, Ca. After my car came from this dealership all kinds of different things begun to take place. Ive never put cameras or listening devices of any sort, nothing that was not made with my car should have been added or changed to its original make. The PCM/ECM was reset by the HDS system which has played a part in the illegal malfunctions of its systems. I have been robbed, Followed and watched from inside my car which i HAVE NEVER given anyone consent to have access to my private life. This has been 9 months of my car misfiring, Capital City Honda in Sacamento,Ca had done the same repair and did not sign the release of liability that El Cerrito Honda issued for the return of my 275.00$ diagnoses but the 571.00 paid for the work done they kept. The Bureau Of Automotive Repair told me to contact The NHTSA for the complaint against Honda Motors for Laws/Regulations. My car has become a safety liability to myself and other drivers lives because of its mechanical and electrical altering without my consent and laws broken by the State of California Vehicle Codes and Pen code 637.7.

I got a notice on a recall again for the air bags for my Honda accord 2007 7GQU329. I have another issue with it my catalytic converter got stolen again and the 1st time the insurance covered it and it got stolen last week again and the insurance is telling me that it’s fraud and they will only cover it once. While this is an issue in my area stealing this parts now my car is totaled and undrivable.

Electrical component malfunctioning Knock Sensor: code error: p0325 I noticed my check engine light had came on but wasn't on for long and had turned off on the dash. A few weeks later the check engine light reappeared and did not go back off. Upon this happening I noticed a major difference in my vehicle performance. The fuel consumption had significantly increased, I recognized these shake like vibrations when sitting in park or at a complete stop. A "knocking noise" I would hear coming from the engine, as well as rough idling almost as if there was a "stalling/hesitant" idling that sounded very off. Adding a very noticeable reduced power from the engine that was not there when the check engine light was not on. This has been a confirmed malfunction and should be replaced due to the importance the knock sensor provides to the engine of this vehicle. This was confirmed by an employee at a parts store, with there computer code reader. Upon request for inspection; I have open availability. Confirmed: March 4, 2025 The additional code provided also stated the catalytic converter is recommended to be replaced as well. Engine related systems that power the vehicle such as (catalyst pipes) Powertrain (previously recalled prior time frame) due to this being a numerously reported issue with many other owners of this same vehicle I own. There is a reoccurring issue that absolutely goes hand in hand with the performance and job of the also stated ongoing problems I'm facing. The knock sensor is a vital part to the powertrain system that helps optimize engine performance and protects it from harmful knocking by monitoring combustion irregularities. Potentially if these are current issues, and have caused any kind of damage, the damage alone effects as follows: -wiring issues, internal malfunction, physical damage , corrosion from exposure to engine fluids, internal short circuit, mechanical damage, faulty wiring,excessive vibrations, wear and tear from use.

THE CAR AGAIN JUMPED AT LOW SPEED UP TO 3000 RPM AND STAYED THERE. BREAKING AND GOING ON IT'S OWN. ONCE I MADE IT TO SAFETY I PARKED CAR. UPON GETTING IT TOWED FOUND THAT MY AXEL CAME UNSEATED DURING THIS AND LOST ALL TRAN FLUID. CAR WOULDN'T GO INTO ANY GEAR. UPON RESEAT OF AXEL AND REPLACE TRAN FLUID CAR SEEMS TO BE OK. I'VE HAD MY POWER STEERING PUMP AND RACK & PINION REPLACED. POWER STEERING IS STILL TOUGH, FEELS LIKE I'M TURNING THE WHEEL WITH 40LB WEIGHTS ON EACH SIDE OF IT. SUSPENSION IS FAILING, HITTING A BUMP MAKES MY CAR FEEL LIKE THE SUSPENSION IS PUSHING UP AND MAKES IT FLOAT MOMENTARILY AND MAKES A SLIGHT NOISE WHILE DRIVING. BOTH CV AXLES FAILED FRONT SIDE AT THE SAME POINT OF THAT RUBBER GROMMET IN THE MIDDLE, WATER GETS TRAPPED UNDER IT AND MAKES IT RUST OUT....BOTH OF THEM SNAPPED WHILE I WAS DRIVING AT DIFFERENT POINTS.

CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, CAR ACTS LIKE IT HAS NO POWER ON TAKE OFF, SHIFTING HARD, ONCE UP TO MAYBE 40 MPH CAR BEGINS JERKING AND THE A/C AND HEAT STOPPED WORKING CORRECTLY AT ALMOST THE SAME TIME WITHIN A DAY OR TWO. THE LOCKS ON MY CAR WILL NOT OPEN. REGARDLESS OF THE WIRELESS ENTRY OR MANUALLY OPENING WITH A KEY OR EVEN FROM THE INSIDE. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD BECAUSE WHEN ATTEMPTING TO UNLOCK THE DOORS, THE DOOR UNLOCKS THEN LOCKS. THE DOORS WILL NOT OPEN UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. THIS IS A SEVERE HAZARD AS MY CHILDREN WERE LOCKED IN THE CAR AND I HAD TO TAKE NECESSARY MEASURES TO GET IN THE CAR THROUGH THE TRUNK TO GET THEM OUT. MY CAR HAS HAD ENGINE ISSUES FOR THE LAST ALMOST 8 YEARS. BURNING OIL AT A MASSIVE RATE. IT ALSO STALLS WITH THIS SUDDEN JERK AND ROCKING SENSATION WHEN ACCELERATING/SHIFTING AT A LOW SPEED. I BOUGHT MY CAR BRAND NEW BUT FIRST BEGAN EXPERIENCING THIS ROCKING SENSATION IN NOVEMBER OF 2008 WHILE DRIVING DOWN A SLIGHT INCLINE AT A LOW SPEED ON A STREET. THIS ROCKING STOPPED ON ITS OWN FOR QUITE A WHILE. THEN IN APRIL 2011 IT BEGAN AGAIN WHERE AT HONDA'S DIAGNOSIS AND RECOMMENDATION THEY TOOK MY ENGINE APART AND 'FIXED' THE PROBLEM WHEN IT LATER AROSE IN 2014. THIS ISSUE HAS NOW ESCALATED TO THE ENGINE STALLING WHEN I DRIVE OVER 80 MILES AN HOUR - ACCELERATION SUSPENDS UNTIL THE SPEED DROPS BACK DOWN TO 70 MILES AN HOUR. IT'S SO UNSAFE BUT BECAME PREDICTABLE AND NORMAL. IN ALL OF THIS MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WILL NOT GO OFF HENCE CAUSING THE CAR TO FAIL EMISSIONS TESTS. I HAVE BROUGHT THIS UP TO MY LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP ALONG WITH EXCESSIVE BURNING OF OIL. I HAVE PERFORMED THE OIL CONSUMPTION TEST FOR THE DEALERSHIP TO SAY THAT MY CONSUMPTION - THOUGH CLEARLY EXCESSIVE AND VERY DARK - IS TECHNICALLY WITHIN HONDA'S PARAMETERS. EVERY TIME I RE-VISITED EITHER ISSUE I WAS GIVEN THE RUN AROUND AND NOW DEEMED BY MANY MECHANICS EVEN AT HONDA TO NOT PUT ANYMORE MONEY INTO THE CAR. THE DIAGNOSES WENT FROM O2 SENSOR TO CAM CHAIN TO NOW THE ROCKER ARM. IN 2014 WHEN HONDA SUPOSSESLY 'FIXED' THE CAM CHAIN I WAS EXPLICITLY TOLD THAT THIS WAS THE REASON MY CAR JERKED AND ROCKED BUT CLEARLY THAT WAS A FABRICATION. THE CONTACT HAD AN INDEPENDENT TECHNICIAN REPLACE THE FUEL CAP, BUT THE ENGINE INDICATOR WAS STILL ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE TO A DIFFERENT DEALER (GILLMAN HONDA, 10595 W SAM HOUSTON PKWY S, HOUSTON, TX 77099) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE WAS THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER. I NEVER RECEIVE A NOTICE THAT HONDA HAD A RECALLED ON AIRBAG UNTIL 2017 THEY STARTED SENDING UPS LETTERS TO TAKE THE CAR IN FOR REPAIRS.I AM A 63 YEAR OLD WOMEN WITH MENTAL AND PHYSICAL PROBLEMS. IN NOVEMBER 2017 THE COMPANY SINCE A LETTER IN REGARDS OF A LAW SUIT AGAINST HONDA. I WENT ONLINE TO FILE BEFORE THE DEAD LINE , WHICH IS JANUARY 08 2018. NO OTHER VEHICLE/PEDESTRIAN WAS INVOLVED, FORTUNATELY, AND NO DAMAGE WAS DONE TO OUR VEHICLE. HOWEVER THE AIRBAGS STRICTLY ON THE DRIVER SIDE, THAT ARE NOT PART OF A RECALL, DEPLOYED/MALFUNCTIONED THUS POTENTIALLY MAY HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS OR FATAL ACCIDENT HAD ANOTHER VEHICLE OR PEDESTRIAN BEEN NEARBY. LOCAL DEALER, PARAGON IN WOODSIDE, APPRAISED DAMAGE AND COST OF REPAIR AT $6,000.00 PARTS AND LABOR. THE SERVICE ENGINEER CONCLUDED ANY DIPS IN ROADS, POTHOLES, HILLS, BASICALLY LANDSCAPES THAT DIRECT/FORCE THE FRONT OF A VEHICLE FORWARD COULD POTENTIALLY SET OFF THE SENSOR FOR AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT. CONTRARY TO THEIR 'PROFESSIONAL' STATEMENT OUR VEHICLE DID NOT SEE SUCH A SCENARIO WHERE ONLY DRIVER SIDE OF VEHICLE WOULD REQUIRE AIRBAGS BEING DEPLOYED. SHOULD THE ROAD CONDITIONS BEEN SEVERVE ALL AIRBAGS SHOULD OF DEPLOYED. HAVING SAID THAT THIS SHOULD NOT BE THE CASE. SHOULD THEIR STATEMENT BE "TRUE" CONSEQUENTLY AIRBAGS WOULD BE GOING OFF WITH NO ACCIDENTS MORE OFTEN, AND THIS WOULD BE A REGULAR REPAIR AND PUTTING A GREATER POPULATION AT RISK. PER HONDA MANUAL RECOMMENDATION FOR A TUNE-UP @100,000 MILE; ON APRIL, 2013 I WENT INTO NALLEY HONDA FOR MY 100K TUNE-UP. SHORTLY AFTER THIS SERVICE WAS PERFORMED, MY CAR STARED TO PULSATE. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WENT ON AND OFF A FEW TIMES, TOOK IT TO AUTOCHECK AND FOUND A CODE. TOOK IT TO DEALER, THEY COULD NOT LOCATE THE CODE AND CLAIMED THERE IS NO ISSUE THEY CAN FIND, COME BACK WHEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN. FEW WEEKS LATER, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME AGAIN IN THE EVENING, AND NOW WITH OTHER PROBLEMS, THE WHOLE ELECTRIC SYSTEM INCLUDING LIGHTS, RADIO ETC STARTED DANCING ON AND OFF, ABS LIGHT CAME ON AND OFF. HAPPENED FOR A FEW MINUTES AND THEN EVERYTHING WENT SMOOTH. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO DEALERSHIP AND THEY CLAIM THE CODE P0685 WAS FOUND AND THERE WAS A SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR THE PCM AND THEY APPLIED THAT UPDATE. I ASKED WHY WAS THERE NO INTIMATION ABOUT IT AND THE RESPONSE WAS THAT IT WAS NOT CONSIDERED AS ONE OF THE CRITICAL UPDATES. WITH THE EXPERIENCE I HAD, THE WAY THINGS WERE HAPPENING IN THAT 2-3 MINUTES OF ELECTRIC SYSTEM DANCE, ANYTHING COULD HAVE GONE WRONG WITH THE CAR. ON EXITING FROM A BELTWAY ON TO A RAMP AND APPLYING THE BRAKES TO SLOW THE CAR, IT ACCELERATED THE CAR AND AS I TOOK MY FOOT OFF THE ACCELERATOR, IT SPED UP FURTHER. I APPLIED THE BRAKES AND THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AND AFTER GOING VERY FAST OVER SEVERAL CURBS AND THROUGH AN INTERSECTION I WAS ABLE TO STOP THE CAR ALONG SIDE OF ANOTHER CURB. THIS DAMAGED THE RIGHT FENDER AND ACTIVATED THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. ALL OF THE TIRES WERE FLATTENED AND THE FRAME BENT, SO THE CAR COULD NOT BE REPAIRED. 2007 HONDA ACCORD EX-NAVIGATION. I HAVE OWNED THIS VEHICLE SINCE 2010 WITH 30K. THEY SHOULD BE MULTIPLE RECALLS ON THIS VEHICLE. IN 2 OCCASIONS ON THE HIGHWAY, I WAS UNABLE TO STOP THIS VEHICLE. I PRESSED ON THE BRAKES AND IT TAKES SO LONG FOR THE VEHICLE TO RESPOND. DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THERE WAS NO ISSUE WITH THE AIRBAGS OR BRAKING SYSTEM. AFTER BOTH ACCIDENTS THE AIRBAG LIGHT FLASHES AND STAYS ON. ALSO THE SEAT BELTS STAY IN A LOCKED POSITION AND WON'T RETRACT. DEALERSHIP SAYS THE PISTON IN THE SEAT BELTS WERE BAD. I WAITED TO HAVE THEM FIXED. GOOD THING BECAUSE BOTH SEAT BELTS RETRACTED AFTER THREE WEEKS. SEPARATE ISSUE WITH THE SEALS ON THE OUTER DOORS. SINCE MY PURCHASE, JUNE OF 2007 I HAVE HAD SEVERAL PROBLEMS WITH THE BRAKE SYSTEM AND AT THAT TIME HONDA HAD FULFILLED THE QUALITY EXPECTATIONS. HOWEVER; A LARGER ISSUE IS AT HAND REGARDING MY CAR TRANSMISSION CAUSING A LEAKING PROBLEM. UPON DISCOVERING THE LEAKAGE, I IMMEDIATELY TOOK MY CAR OUT FOR SERVICE. I HAVE NOW FOUND OUT THAT HONDA MISDIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND PERFORMED UNNECESSARY REPAIRS CHARGING ME A $300 DOLLARS OUT OF MY POCKET. WITHIN COUPLE OF WEEKS I WAS BACK AT THE DEALERSHIP TO RAISE MY CONCERNS ABOUT CONSISTENT LEAKAGE. AT THIS POINT THEY ADVISED ME THAT IT'S TRANSMISSION NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. AFTER 3 MONTHS OF ARGUING AND WRITING LETTERS TO THE HONDA CEO, FINALLY THE SAME CASE MANAGER WHO REFUSED TO HELP ME AT FIRST, OFFERED A 50% COVERAGE BY HONDA TO REPLACE ITS TRANSMISSION. THAT IS AROUND $2000 OUT OF MY PACKET FIXING THEIR DEFECTIVE TRANSMISSION. AT THIS POINT, I CAN'T DRIVE THIS CAR. THE SMOKE AND BURNING SMELL COMING FROM UNDER HOOD CAUSES A SAFETY CONCERN. THEY STILL HAVE NOT FOUND THE ISSUE. IT IS WORSE WHEN IT IS HUMID AND/OR RAINS. DURING THE WINTER MONTHS OF 2007/2008; THE STEREO'S LCD WENT WARPED AND THE WHOLE STEREO HAD TO BE REPLACED. ON MEMORIAL DAY 2008; THE DRIVERS SIDE SEAT CAUGHT FIRE WHILE I WAS SITTING IN IT PARKED WAITING ON MY CHILDREN TO COME OUT OF A THEME PARK. MY HUSBAND BURNED HIS HAND TRYING TO PUT OUT THE FIRE; AND WAS OUT OF WORK FOR ABOUT 2-WEEKS DUE TO THE BURN. THE DEALERSHIP AND HONDA REFUSED TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS FIRE; WHICH STARTED INSIDE THE SEAT DUE TO THE ELECTRONIC SEATS AND/OR HEATED LEATHER SEATS, AS DETERMINED BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY APPRAISER. THE SEAT HAD TO BE REPLACED, THE ELECTRONIC SEAT COMPONENTS, HEATED LEATHER SEAT COMPONENTS, PART OF THE CENTER CONSOLE, AND THE CARPETING AND FLOOR MATS. WE GOT THE CAR BACK ON JULY 3. ON MONDAY, JULY 7; MY HUSBAND TOOK THE CAR TO HAVE IT INSPECTED (AT THE DEALERSHIP); SINCE THE STATE INSPECTION WAS PAST DUE. THEY REJECTED THE INSPECTION STATING THAT THE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM IS NOT RECOGNIZING THE SEAT BELTS. THEY LATER CHANGED THEIR TUNE WHEN I CALLED THEM AND ARE NOW TRYING TO SAY IT WASN'T THAT IT WAS THE AIRBAG WASN'T HOOKED UP; AND THEY COULD FIX IT. I KNOW THEY ARE LYING, AND THEY ARE TRYING TO COVER THEIR TRACKS AS THIS I AM SURE IS JUST ANOTHER ELECTRICAL ISSUE IN MY CAR. I AM AT MY WITS END ON WHAT TO DO WITH THIS CAR. I CAN'T AFFORD TO TRADE IT IN, I HAVE SPENT OVER $1000 ON RENTAL CARS WAITING FOR IT TO BE REPAIRED, AND NOW THIS. ALSO, THE POWER DOOR LOCKS STILL DO NOT WORK. *TR

2007 HONDA ACCORD WITH VERY BAD BLIND SPOTS. CONSUMER STATES THAT THE BLIND SPOTS ARE SO BAD AROUND THE FRONT WINDOW SUPPORTS THAT YOU CAN'T SEE VEHICLES. HE ALSO STATES THAT HE HAS ALMOST HIT 2 PEOPLE DUE TO THESE BLIND SPOTS. *KB

IT'S A MAJOR DESIGN FLAW OF HONDA TO DEVIATE FROM THE STANDARD THAT THE DASH LIGHTS DO NOT ILLUMINATE UNLESS THE HEADLIGHTS ARE ON. I'M SURE MOST OTHER DRIVERS ARE ACCUSTOMED TO THIS STANDARD. COMPOUND THAT WITH OTHER VEHICLE MODELS (OF WHICH WE HAVE TWO) THAT WILL TURN ON HEADLIGHTS AUTOMATICALLY, AND YOU HAVE SERIOUS POTENTIAL TO DRIVE AT NIGHT WITHOUT NOTHING BUT THE AUTOMATIC RUNNING LIGHTS ON. THESE RUNNING LIGHTS PRODUCE ENOUGH REFLECTIVE LIGHT, ALONG WITH THE DASH LIGHTS, TO LEAD THE DRIVER TO BELIEVE THEY HAVE THE HEADLIGHTS ON. *TR

I AM AN OTR CDL-LICENSED DRIVER, AND, ON MORE THAN A FEW OCCASIONS OVER THE PAST 6 MONTHS, I HAVE OBSERVED SEVERAL MODELS OF NISSAN AND HONDA VEHICLES CRUISING AT DUSK WITH THEIR DASH LIGHTS ON, BUT WITH NO EXTERIOR MARKER, PARKING, TAIL, OR HEADLIGHTS BURNING. THEY ARE VIRTUALLY INVISIBLE, ESPECIALLY WHEN MIXED IN WITH OTHER NORMALLY-ILLUMINATED VEHICLES. WHEN ALERTED AS THEY PASS BY HORN AND FLASHING LIGHTS, THE DRIVER'S USUAL REACTION IS TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES, AND THEN TURN ON THE HEADLIGHTS. IF THE HEADLIGHT SWITCH IS CONFIGURED TO ACTUATE THE DASH LIGHTS SEPARATELY FROM THE EXTERIOR LIGHTS, THAT IS A DEFINITE SAFETY PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM ALSO MAY BE WITH THE ALLOWABLE THRESHOLD SENSITIVITY OF THE TWILIGHT SENSOR. *TR

DT*: THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING 30 MPH ON NORMAL ROAD CONDITIONS, THERE WAS A LOUD POPPING SOUND FROM THE FRONT LEFT SIDE OF THE WINDSHIELD. THE SOUND ALSO OCCURRED WHEN DRIVING ON ROUGH ROADS. THE SALES/SERVICE DEALER WAS NOTIFIED AND THE VEHICLE WAS INSPECTED. WHEN THE CONTACT DROVE THE VEHICLE AGAIN, THE PROBLEM CONTINUED, SO THE VEHICLE WAS RETURNED TO THE SALES/SERVICE DEALER. THE SALES/SERVICE DEALER REFUSED TO PROVIDE A REFUND, REPLACE THE VEHICLE OR TO REPLACE THE SEAL TO THE WINDSHIELD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. *NM THE CONSUMER FOUND A SERVICE BULLETIN REGARDING IMPROPERLY SEALED WINDSHIELDS (MOLDING PROBLEMS) THAT CAUSE POPPING/RATTLING NOISE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER BUT THEY CLAIMED THEY COULD NOT HEAR THE NOISE. *NM THE FUSE BOX UNDER THE HOOD NEAR THE DASHBOARD AND IN THE INTERIOR OF THE CAR WERE TIGHTENED BECAUSE THEY WERE LOOSE. THIS AFFECTED THE DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS. THE LEFT FRONT STRUT AND THE FIREWALL WERE TOO CLOSE AND WERE RUBBING TOGETHER. THE GASKETS WERE SHRINKING AROUND THE WINDSHIELD WHICH WERE CAUSING THE WINDSHIELD VIBRATING PROBLEMS. THE WINDSHIELD SPRAYER WAS CLOGGED. THE EXHAUST HEAT SHIELDS WERE LOOSE. THE FRONT DOOR WINDOW CHANNELS WERE LUBRICATED AND FINALLY REPLACED BECAUSE OF THE EXCESSIVE RATTLING NOISE. THE DOOR JAMBS WERE IRREGULAR WHICH ADDED TO THE WINDOW RATTLING PROBLEM.
