The touchscreen display has failed and has to be replaced according to the dealership service department. This is a known issue with this generation Honda (10th generation) where the digitizer in the screen fails under heat exposure in the cabin.

The touchscreen/head unit on my 2022 Honda Accord Sport SE (VIN: [XXX] ) consistently exhibits ghost touch behavior — the screen makes random phantom inputs while I am driving, without any physical contact. This causes the navigation to be rerouted or cancelled mid-drive, audio to change sources and volume unexpectedly, menus to open randomly, and CarPlay to become completely non-functional. This occurs every time I drive the vehicle and constitutes a significant safety distraction. I rely on GPS navigation for every drive. Honda has acknowledged this is a known issue affecting 2021–2022 Accord models but has stated no fix is currently available. The dealer has confirmed the issue and been unable to resolve it. I have opened a case with American Honda Consumer Support (Case #XXX) requesting a loaner vehicle and vehicle exchange. No recall has been issued despite this being a widespread, documented safety defect with multiple NHTSA complaints filed by other owners. My radio is ghost glitching. It randomly does it. I can't listen to anything or do anything on the screen.. it keeps the whole drive. It won't allow me to upload the video. I can send it via email.

The touch screen for the radio is having ghost tapping and it is switching from the radio to Bluetooth to turning on and off by itself.

The infotainment touchscreen experiences ‘ghost touching,’ where the screen activates functions without driver input. The system randomly changes screens, activates apps, changes music/navigation, and becomes unresponsive while driving. This creates a significant driver distraction and safety concern. The issue occurs intermittently and has continued despite troubleshooting/reset attempts. Dealership acknowledged the issue as ‘ghost touch.’ Very disappointing that this isnt a recall. Having this problem not even 6 months after purchasing this car for over 30k

I purchased a 2022 Honda Accord Hybrid two years ago. On multiple occasions, I have been traveling at high speeds 70-75 MPH when the orange BRAKE signal appears across the screen, and the car abruptly slams on the brake with no other vehicles around me. It forcefully threw me forward. We have had Honda vehicle in for service many times, the dealership are never able to duplicate the problem because it happens sporadically. It is extremely dangerous, and I don't ever feel safe in the vehicle, and I don't feel comfortable using the adaptive cruise control. In the past we have always owned Honda's and never ever felt unsafe. This is a serious problem that needs to be addressed quickly.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at high speeds, the vehicle made an unintended movement that felt like a brief skid while depressing the brake pedal. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the collision mitigation braking system (CMBS) engaged while there were no other vehicles around. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: EA24002 (Forward Collision Avoidance). The contact stated that the failure was intermittent. The dealer was contacted, and an appointment was scheduled for a diagnostic test. The vehicle was not yet diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the vehicle needed to be diagnosed three times, and a case would be opened if the failure persisted. The failure mileage was unknown

am reporting a problem with the Forward Collision Warning and Automatic Emergency Braking system. The vehicle has repeatedly given collision warnings and applied braking when there was no vehicle, person, or obstacle in front of me. I purchased the vehicle used in July 2023 with approximately 30,000 miles. It now has approximately 108,000 miles. Over the time I have owned the vehicle, this issue has occurred about ten times while I was driving. Four of these incidents happened recently with a passenger in the vehicle, which confirmed the issue was not driver error. In several instances, the system gave rapid warning beeps and then applied braking even though the road ahead was clear. One time this occurred at highway speed with no traffic in front of me. Another time it occurred on a lightly traveled local road with no visible hazard. The braking was sudden and unexpected. On one occasion, a leaf may have passed in front of the sensor, but the majority of incidents occurred with no visible trigger. There were no warning lights or messages before the events, only the collision alert immediately followed by braking. This behavior creates a safety risk because the vehicle can brake unexpectedly without an actual obstruction, which could lead to a rear end collision or loss of control. The problem has not yet been inspected by a dealer or manufacturer.

I purchased my Accord Sport Hybrid in October 2022. Within several months and intermittently thereafter, I would receive an alert to BRAKE on my dashboard--and most of the time, there would be no object in front of the vehicle. In the last 3 years since the purchase, there have been one or two times when the alert appeared and the vehicle actually slowed down spontaneously--much to my surprise. I spoke to the dealer, but was informed there was no recall about this issue. Now I am reading that Accord Hybrids 2023-25 are being recalled for this very problem! So, I am filing this notice because I believe my 2022 Accord Hybrid is also impacted and I would like this to be addressed. It is clearly a safety issue.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving approximately 35 MPH, the vehicle independently stopped. The contact stated that the Forward Collision Avoidance warning light was blinking on the instrument cluster with an audible alert. The contact had experienced the failure four times. The contact had taken the vehicle to the same dealer for the prior independent braking failures however, the dealer was unable to determine the cause of the failure. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer after the most recent failure, and it was determined that the Forward Collision Avoidance front sensor was misaligned. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 38,000.

The infotainment system does ghost touches and changes settings randomly such as tpms, airbag, and maintenance settings while driving causing major distractions by also turning on and off randomly increasing and decreasing volume settings.

All of my driver warnings keep coming on, I have brought it back to the dealership mechanics three times already they said the code was showing a spark plug. I have had that changed out and the car is still doing the same thing. When accelerating or even while driving it will die I have to pull over turn the car off and restart it and it still cuts out and dies. There have been times that it wouldn't go over 55 mph. I was almost hit by a car due to it stalling on the interstate when trying to merge from a on ramp.

The infotainment screen is ghost touching (changing screens on it's own). If using gps from my phone that is a problem. The radio doesn't stay on at times while the screen is flipping to numerous places on it's own. I read online that many people are having this problem so it should be covered as a defect, a recall. My car is garage kept and kept very clean. I tried resetting but didn't help.
Mar 10, 2026
The radio display jumps around from stations to other displays without being touch and will cut on by itself.
Mar 03, 2026
The infotainment screen glitches all the time while driving and while stopped. Examples of this include the screen zooming out of your navigation then no longer responding to your touches, leading you to take your eyes off the road and get distracted. The screen also makes random phone calls and hangs up calls. The screen will quickly change to another app or screen creating quick flashes and distractions especially driving at night. Also, while in reverse the different camera views are unavailable because the screen won’t respond to your touches. This is a huge distraction while driving and makes for an unsafe driving experience. The dealer said years ago that they could replace the screen but the parts are on back order and it’s been months of no response from them every time we ask about a replacement unit. Others have also reported replacing the screen doesn’t solve the issue as it just keeps happening again. Honda should recall all these defective units.

, I had MY Honda dealership replace my touchscreen and head unit due to issues with ghost touches and apps switching back and forth. Once I got my car back, which took two weeks, the problems seemed to be resolved. However, after a few weeks, the ghost touches started happening again, about once a week. I was planning to live with that, given the amount of time they had my car. Now, fast forward to the present time: the ghost touches are back, and the touchscreen refuses to function 95% of the time. I had contacted my service advisor at the dealership on 5/28/26 and replied that she would get with the Service manager and shop foreman. This is ashame that a company like Honda could not stand by their product better to fix this issue that has been known since 2024.

My 2022 Honda Accord Infotainment have what is being referred to as "Ghost Touches" the screen very erratically switches between settings in the system, clear programmed data, and adjust the radio and volume without being touched. This has been a major distraction while driving and pose has huge safety risk for myself and put others at risks for accidents. I have had several near misses because of this. You never know when it will happen so when it does, it immediately removes your eyes off the road where it should be while driving to try and attempt to get it to stop because the switching is loud and distracting especially with the volume adjustments. I purchased the vehicle new, the first owner and not even a three months later the nightmare began. I have taken it to the Honda dealership serval times when it is happening and the course of action is a screen reset and the issue still persist. There were no warnings or lights that came on prior to it to happening, it just began and has never stopped. The reset is not a sufficient solution and the only other option there is to replace it which cost well over a thousand dollars and most customers can't afford it. This a serious Honda issue that needs to be address because there are a lot of customers having this issue and nothing is being done about it or assistance with getting it repaired.

My car infotainment system keeps on having a "Ghost Touch" and it keeps on being a distraction when im using the GPS and it is a hazard being on the road especially in [XXX] where drivers are reckless. Other people have been having same issue, at least 80% that i have seen in person and online. This should be on a recall or at least have honda figure out the issue since theyre selling there cars over 30k+ it should st least be working for a good while and not a hazard on the road. Thank god nothing has happened but almost. I bought my car brand new and 2 weeks into having it I have been having issues with the infotainment system. Its very distracting. Sometimes it distracts me so much that I swerve while driving trying to stop it. It also is interfering with my experience listening to music. Something needs to be done as im not the only one having this experience.

Hello, I am having issues with the infotainment system on my accord. It is suffering from the ghost touch issue. When this happens the car constantly makes an alert beep and then randomly starts going through the menus on the system. Here are a few of the issues that can result. Navigation changes or setting change, radio can change or even turn on or off or change inputs, the cars setting can change, it can start calls to any of your contacts including emergency #s. The only way to stop this from happening is to turn off the screen. However if the radio is on, you can not turn it off. This results in the driver constantly having to divert their attention to the radio /infotainment system from the road. It is extremely distracting and very unsafe. This is a known issue and there is no active recall. As far as I can tell this has not been fixed in replacements, simply a new version of the same radio is put into the car. I would expect that this has or will create accidents if is nor recalled. As these cars age, this will get worse for all of them. I did reach out to honda and they informed me there is no recall. Please help keep people on the road safe!

ENGINE

I am submitting this complaint regarding an apparent head gasket failure involving my 2022 Honda Accord Sport 1.5T equipped with Honda's 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. At approximately 143,000 miles, I began experiencing coolant loss without any visible external leak. I also noticed rough operation and shaking during startup. Concerned about the symptoms, I consulted a Honda specialist who advised that the vehicle is exhibiting signs consistent with a failing head gasket and will likely require head gasket replacement. This vehicle has been meticulously maintained and serviced throughout ownership. I retain maintenance records and have taken exceptional care of the vehicle. There has been no abuse, neglect, overheating event, or failure to maintain the vehicle. Through my research, I have found numerous reports from owners of Honda vehicles equipped with the 1.5-liter turbocharged engine describing similar symptoms, including coolant loss, startup misfires, rough cold starts, coolant intrusion into cylinders, and premature head gasket failures. The consistency of these reports suggests a possible design or manufacturing defect affecting the durability of the engine. A failing head gasket can lead to loss of engine power, engine damage, misfires, overheating, and potentially unsafe driving conditions. Given the volume of owner complaints involving Honda's 1.5-liter turbocharged engines, I request that NHTSA investigate whether a safety-related defect exists and whether corrective action, including a recall or service campaign, is warranted.

Getting 2 cylinder missfire. Possibly connected to head gasket. Radiator fluid dissolved quickly.
Apr 28, 2026
Coolant reservoir refilled during last 2 oil changes due to coolant loss. On most recent oil change, spark plugs were removed to put a camera in cylinders. Found water in cylinder. Swooshing sound from motor at idle. Bad headgasket. Replaced headgasket.
Apr 05, 2026
Our car, only 3 years old (2022) had a check engine light come on about a week ago. We went and had the code read, said cylinder 3 was misfiring. We replaced all the spark plugs and coils. All the lights went off and the car drove fine for another week. Then all of a sudden after driving 60+ miles, we were accelerating up a hill in very heavy traffic, and the car wouldn't accelerate. It wouldn't go more than 20-25 in a 45 as we were pulling out and we were almost hit because we couldn't go. The engine got a tad above the middle of the oil heat gauge. We had it towed. The dealership stated that it had a head gasket issue, with other issues, and that the engine block might be cracked. Currently are trying to charge us almost 7k to fix it.

When I would go to accelerate onto the the interstate and would hit around 67-69 MPH my car would go lazy and the engine light would come on. This happened about 3 times and then 4th time every single check engine light came on. I took it to the mechanic and he replaced the battery, but said there might still be a fuel issue. I then took it to the dealership and they said I had “bad gas” and wanted to replace the spark plugs, remove the fuel, and do a fuel treatment for 1200 dollars. I was confused on how this could happen and the dealership stated that it only takes one time, so how can I prevent it? They didn’t say and so if I spend the 1200 due to “bad gas” and get “bad gas” again I owe another 1200?

I was driving down the highway going 70 mph on my way home from work and my cars engine shut down and I pulled to the side of the road as safe as I could. Went into limp mode and I was not able to drive it home. Gave a check engine light. I had to pull the car home with a truck. I bought an OBD code reader and it was giving the code POO87. Doing research this code is for low pressure at the fuel rail. I found that this is a common problem for this car. Specifically the high and low pressure fuel pumps which currently have recalls. When searching with my VIN # It does not pull anything up. This could have been disastrous.
May 14, 2026
Vehicle displayed numerous warning lights and messages like Emission system problem and other messages on the cluster gauge. Traveling on the interstate, the vehicle would not accelerate or maintain proper speed. Turned on the emergency flashers to warn other drivers to avoid an accident. Brought it to the dealership and found code P0087 Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low and informed me that the low pressure fuel pump is bad and needs to be replaced. The vehicle is out of warranty as it has ~85k miles.

Both my Road Departure Mitigation and Collision Mitigation Braking System both randomly turn off and show “setting incomplete” when I attempt to put them from off to on. After 5-7 days of normal driving both systems will turn back on and thereafter work for 5-7 days before turning off once again. I have not been involved in any accidents. I’m afraid off unprovoked braking from these electrical safety support systems not working correctly causing possible serious injury to me and others and also causing me emotional mental anxiety while driving due to documentation of these issues in my specific Honda causing possible accidents due to the faulty safety support systems I’m experiencing.

The contact owns a 2022 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended while depressing the accelerator pedal. Multiple warning lights illuminated intermittently: TPMS, ABS, Traction, brake system, power steering, Uphill, and Cruise Control. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) unexpectedly triggered, and the vehicle braked without warning. The contact had no control over the steering wheel; the wheel ended up doing a 180-degree turn, and the front driver-side wheel detached. The vehicle ended up going into a ditch, where it came to a stop. No air bags deployed. The contact went to urgent care afterward, and the doctor prescribed muscle relaxers for minor back injuries. The police were called; however, no police report was filed. The tire was attached back to the vehicle, and the vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the failure was related to an electrical issue. The dealer completed a full tune-up. The dealer test drove the vehicle, and multiple warning lights illuminated. The dealer reset the system on the vehicle. The vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that a month before the accident, while the vehicle had maintenance work done, the contact informed the dealer that the vehicle was "acting weird." No cause for the failure was found on the vehicle. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 2,000.

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? The electrical system on my accord and yes it will be available. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? The vehicle starts to not pick up speed and eventually kills. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? By the manufacturer (dealership) on multiple occasions, I was instructed to unplug the vehicle’s battery. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes, about a year and a half ago.

I was getting on a freeway, via an on ramp, I was the first vehicle from the light, so there were no vehicles ahead of me. As I was about to merge onto the right lane of the freeway, my vehicle slams to a stop. The BRAKE icon appeared on the control panel, and worried about the vehicle behind me maybe hitting me, I attempt to pull to the right to get off the road. Luckily there were no vehicles on the freeway at the time close to me, and the vehicle that was behind me when I got onto the freeway on ramp, was far enough back. My vehicle only braked for a moment, but it was a hard jerk. It all lasted seconds and I managed to merge onto the freeway and continue on my way. I have not told the dealership yet, where I purchased the vehicle from, but I'm going in for regular service in a week and will address it then. There have been other times the BRAKE icon shows up, but the vehicle had never stopped on it's own before. That was a first. I have, however, noticed NUMEROUS electrical related problems with this vehicle. Well, I'm assuming it's all electrical (braking, speed, AC/heating, backup camera not working due to outside temp). I purchased it new, I'm the sole owner, it has just over 8K miles on it. I didn't bring it up with the dealer because I just chalked it up to numerous other problems I have with this vehicle, and figured I had a lemon, so it's too late to do anything about it. And most of the time if the dealer can't replicate the problem, they feel like it doesn't exist, they won't do anything anyway. I have since disabled any driver assist abilities in the vehicle. I have no issues with anyone inspecting my vehicle.
Jun 14, 2024
On multiple occasions, my 2022 Honda Accord has used the automatic braking system against my better judgement and almost caused traffic collisions. - It has braked when I was simply turning around in a parking lot, nearly causing a vehicle to hit me. - It brakes when I'm trying to park my vehicle in a narrow garage space, despite not being in danger of hitting anything. - It has braked at traffic intersections when it sees cars turning in front of me, almost causing vehicles behind to collide with the back of my car. I filed a complaint with Honda, but they were unhelpful. Since it's impossible to permamently disable this safety feature, their only resolution was for me to remember to temporarily disable it every time I use the vehicle. It appears that this technology is flawed and prone to malfunctioning and Honda implemented it in their vehicles to track the data by using involuntary test subjects. In my view, this warrants a federal investigation and lawsuit. Thank you.

About three weeks into car ownership while drivng on the highway during the day, I changed lanes and the brakes engaged suddenly for about 2 seconds. No one was behind me or in front of me. No cars or obstacles. I took it into the dealership the next day. They tested it and found nothing wrong. About a month later it happended again while driving on the highway with no cars or obsticals in front me. changing lanes and the car braked for a period of 1 second. It happened again about 10 minutes later but this time braked for 2 seconds and if someone was behind me, it may have casued an accident. Then a week later on the highway, it happened a third time taking an offramp. I took it to the dealership that day and they kept it overnight and found nothing wrong the next day. I am escalting it to the dealership management.

In more than a couple of instances the vehicle has miscalculated the need for emergency braking causing the vehicle to suddenly brake in traffic and also when the lane keeping assist system was activated, in which no braking was necessary and no vehicle or pedestrian was nearby at all. There has not been any accident as of yet, but the possibility of incident is there. This has been happening since the vehicle was acquired.

When driving down the highway with Lane keeping Assist, system gets confused. System tries to correct itself even though car is in the middle of the lane and eventually breaks while on the highway
Sep 21, 2022
While driving on numerous occasions and my 2022 Honda Accord the automatic emergency braking is activated out of nowhere there will be either no cars ahead of me or cars in opposite lanes but nothing in mine. I've had this car for about 3 months an it has happened at least 4 times. No accidents have happened because of this however it easily could have resulted in one. Also I'm filling and complaining about the lane keeping assist. Multiple times ive be driving with the lane keeping assist on hands on the wheel and all of a sudden it'll try to jerk me off the road this is extremely dangerous. If I'd have been paying less attention I would have definitely ended up in a ditch or worse.

Turning the wheel when the car is in park or reversing causes a very loud groaning sound. Honda claims it’s not a safety issue so to ignore it but it has been happening since the car had less than 48,000 miles on it and seems to be a common problem online. A recall is needed to replace the defective part.

The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the EPS (Electric Power Steering) module had failed; however, the contact was informed that there was no repair available at the time. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 24,686.

steering feels tighter turning left than right. when turning left the wheel centers back up but when turning right it dosnt center. my alignment is fine when my wheel is straight it goes straight. it also likes to center up a little to the right. no one could fix this issue. i took it to a mechanic after multiple honda visists and they said it might be the steering rack. i took it back to honda after a clicking noise started happening when i turn at slow speeds or stopped and they said it was the steering rack but there was nothing they could do untill the investogstion for it was done
May 08, 2025
I purchased my 2022 Honda Accord Sport 1.5 T in December 2021. Around 20k miles, I began experiencing issues with the steering. There was a sticky sensation that required exerting force. I took into the dealership on numerous occasions only to be told "there was nothing wrong" or that "the issue could not be duplicated". It eventually began to get worse around 52k miles, so around October of 2023, I began going back to the dealership, only for the same answers of "can not be duplicated". At 60k miles, the unfindable issue become discoverable (Not sure if they were being honest or they were waiting until my warranty expired to properly diagnose the issue). The service advisor informed me that I would need a steering rack replacement. I asked would Honda assist with the repair as I had began complaining about the issue well before my warranty expired. The advisor informed me that Honda would not assist. Fast forward, a week later, I reached out to Honda myself and they gave me a green light for assistance with the repair. They agreed to cover $2200 for the part itself and I was responsible for the labor, which left me with a balance of $1400. In December of 2023, I had the repair done and the vehicle was driving a little better at first, but still a little off. Of course the service department ensured that nothing was wrong and they could not do anything unless something breaks or the computer throws a code. Fast forward to around June of 2024, I began having the same issues with the steering wheel sticking, but was out of warranty as the dealership stated that the warranty was a 2 year/12k mile warranty. This is ridiculous to pay all this money for vehicles, have it repaired and have to deal with the same issue again. Honda is well aware of this issue, but instead of doing the right and ethical thing and issuing a recall on the steering racks, they'd rather sit and act clueless and oblivious to the issue.

I was driving down the interstate with my cruise control on. It was set to 75 mph. The vehicle began to speed up on it's own. We reached 86/87 mph when I turned off the cruise control but the vehicle was still accelerating. We reached ~95mph, I was slightly applying brake pressure and this slowed down the rate of acceleration but did not stop it. I tried shifting to neutral but the car didn't respond. We reached a little over ~100mph and the car finally stop accelerating. The whole event lasted ~30 seconds to 1 minute.
May 09, 2023
The Collision Mitigation Braking System is overly sensitive, aggressive, unpredictable and sometimes erratic causing extremely dangerous situations including almost causing traffic accidents due to unwarranted locking up of brakes sometimes on the freeway at very dangerous highway speeds. I've had about 5 scenarios where the system has terrified me by applying heavy stopping power in a dangerous and unexpected manner in situations where I would never apply the brakes! One of the occasions was on a 35mph roadway that had a small dip hardly anything, with no cars, pedestrians in front of me SLAMMED the brakes aggressively for 0 reason and with nothing in front of the car but a slight dip in the road. Another occasion was on a freeway at freeway speeds where the car dangerously slammed on the brakes causing unexpected and abrupt loss of speed which WOULD HAVE resulted in a car behind me rear-ending my vehicle, in this case luckily no vehicle was directly behind me in this instance, but in the future this can cause an accident and put myself and others at risk. This vehicle is brand new, less than 3,000 miles. I've contacted Honda Corporate who directed me to a Honda Dealer which they seemed to advise I will be out of pocket for a diagnosis fee for, on a car that randomly and unexpectedly SLAMS ON BRAKES. This is unacceptable, the system automatically turns back on as soon as the vehicle starts up, there's no way to permanently deactivate this dangerous feature. This needs to be resolved immediately!!!

This is very serious while driving on the highway vehicle warning for engine temperature right after check engine came on. I almos crashed becuase the engine temperature close to limit asked to reduce the acceleration but how can I slow down in 2 lines fast highway on very dark night. This very, very unsafely and Honda should take this seriously if they claim safety is priority.

This has been ongoing, but this last time emergency braking activated extremely hard and would had caused a collision if there was a vehicle following as vehicle almost came to a complete stop on a 75 mph highway.

I noticed random misfires months ago. I've replace my spark plug three times in 6 months. My coils are good, etc. It started getting worse about a month ago. It goes into limp mode and suddenly slows to 20 mph. Some days it won't start. The dash lights flash and the cars computer goes crazy it won't go over 20 mph. This is a widespread issue causing ppl to spend thousands and no fix in sight. Usually it hits between 15-90k miles. Twice I was on the interstate and it just slowed to 20 mph. I have had it at the dealer twice. They are clueless and can't do much without Honda stepping up. Honda needs to address this. My car was built in 2021 and somehow missed a major recall. It's putting stress on my catalytic converter and other parts that cost thousands to fix. I'm taking it in on Monday for the third time. If they can pinpoint it this time I'm afraid it might cost me thousands. It's a Honda and it shouldn't be having issues from 15k to 90k.

The fuel system on my 2022 Honda Accord malfunctioned and caused a sudden loss of power while my teenage son was driving. On 12/03/2025 at approximately 4:50 PM, the vehicle went into reduced-power (limp) mode while traveling in heavy highway traffic on a busy highway in a metro-area of >450,000 people. There was no shoulder available in which he could navigate onto. He was unable to accelerate and had to coast approximately one mile at low speed while many, many cars were driving around him during rush hour traffic , which created a dangerous situation with vehicles traveling at normal highway speeds. A Honda dealership has previously inspected and confirmed the problem. On 07/28/2025, the service center documented lean fuel condition, misfire codes (P0301, P0304), failed fuel-rail pressure, and injector-related faults. They recommended replacement of fuel-system components. The printed report and repair estimate are available for inspection upon request. Prior to the safety incident, the vehicle intermittently displayed symptoms such as hesitation during acceleration and irregular engine operation, but no permanent warning light stayed on. The failure has progressed over time and the same loss-of-power condition can recur at any time. This poses a risk because loss of propulsion in moving traffic can lead to a collision. The component issue has been confirmed by the Honda dealer, and documentation is attached. I am filing this report because the failure creates a safety hazard, has been reproduced by a local dealership, and has not been resolved. The repair show suggested I return to Honda for repair. Furthermore, during my research of this problem, I discovered tens of thousands of complaints from others experiencing this exact issue, including new low mileage vehicles. These complaints are available on all social media platforms and search engines, with each complaint indicating problems with the fuel injectors on engines using direct fuel injection.

Ive previously reported on here Errors I was getting, when pushing the gas, MULTIPLE all engine lights going off at once. Its like when you push the gas, the engine stallls, and then all the lights light up; The turbo charger errors; Fuel Sys 1 error; Fuel Sys 2 error; etc. The Cruise Control on does the same thing - especially if there is any type of incline. I know that MANY other Honda owners are experiencing the same and saw their complaints; I see there is now a recall, but WHY is my car NOT showing on here, when clearly it should be. Im asking for a file number and an investigation. Where can I go to get this looked at? Nobody is following up with me. I believe this is fitting Recall21V-215 or 20V-314

While driving my vehicle suddenly would not accelerate above 20 mph and warning lights all over the dash lit up (check engine, abs brake system, adaptive cruise control, vehicle stability, power steering, hill assist, and brake hold). I took it for a diagnostic, it gave a code for cylinder 3 misfire. I got a tune up the next day along with a fuel system cleaning just to be safe. After about 35 miles of driving I had the same issue 2 days after the tune up, this time no warning lights. I took it back to the shop and this time the spark plug in cylinder 4 was bad. I believe I am at the beginning of what many others have complained about with these same symptoms. This problem makes operation of my vehicle unsafe and uncertain, at any time this issue can kick in and now you are limping along at 20 mph while cars zoom all around you. While trying to get the vehicle to the shop I created traffic buildups and was almost hit multiple times due to the vehicles diminished acceleration.

2 complaints
The contact owned a 2022 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving 60 MPH, another vehicle, driving approximately 75 MPH, crashed into the rear and front passenger's side of the vehicle. The vehicle was then pushed into another lane, where another vehicle crashed into the front driver's side of the vehicle, from the fender-bender to the driver's side door. The seat belt failed to unbuckle, and the driver's side door was jammed. The contact was assisted out of the vehicle by the Hero team, who forcefully unbuckled the seat belt. The contact stated that the vehicle sustained significant damage on all four sides and a fractured frame; however, the air bags failed to deploy. The fire department checked the contact's vital signs. The contact was transported to the hospital by his mother. The contact was diagnosed with vestibular system hypofunction and vascular neuritis. The contact sustained a high concussion, pain from the neck, through the back and down to the leg, headaches, crystals in the ears, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. The contact was currently undergoing pain management, physical and psychiatric therapy. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed and totaled by the auto collision repair shop and the insurance company. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the air bags should have deployed. The contact was referred to the manufacturer for assistance. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 73,000.

Infotainmeny system receives multiple fals touches and switches to other screens and functions with no direct input from me the driver. This is very distracting and also dangerous as the issue also interfears with navigation, it will turn is off and switch destinations without any input. This issue has occured since i have had the car in 2022, it only keeps getting worse. This is a very distracting issue to have, it is unsafe and Honda needs to come up with a solution, i have seen this reported by hundreds of people online, this tells me that there are likely thousands of cars out there doing the same, but the people do not know how to report it.

infotainment system is susceptible to intermittent ghost touches. This occurs when using any functionality of the screen of the infotainment system including navigation, music playing, apple car play, and hands free cell phone calls. The screen will open up new menus on its own, end a navigation route, place cell phone calls on hold, and not respond to touches from the driver. This creates a highly dangerous situaiton while driving as the driver must take their eyes off the road to attempt to remedy constant errors and glitches with the infotainment system. Particularly troublesome are instances occurring when using navigation as the driver will need to re-input a destination that was canceled or having a phone call placed on hold mid-conversation. Navigation systems are sometimes necessary to operate the vehicle. Phone calls are no longer hands free if the driver has to look down at their phone to try and disconnect it from the infotainment system to resume the call. This requires taking your eyes off the road for an extended period of time, potentially while traveling at highway speeds. Vehicle was returned to manufacture via dealership several times to address the issue. The Dealer confirmed a defective infotainment system in October 2024 and replaced it under warranty. Due to the part being on back-order it was not replaced until March 2025. The issue continues with the newly replaced screen. The vehicle has been returned several times to the dealer since replacing the screen. Dealer claims they cannot duplicate the issue and do not know what is causing it. Opened Case #: 15316225 with American Honda Motor Co. which went unresolved after several visits to the dealer.

The contact continued to drive the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who test drove the vehicle on a smooth road and diagnosed that no issues were found. The dealer advised the contact that the issue was with the road where he had driven the vehicle; however, the contact had driven three other vehicles on the same mildly rough road surface and the vehicles did not experience the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the failure had been reoccurring increasingly while driving. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The failure mileage was approximately 500. The VIN was not available.

This vehicle is experiencing an aggressive, heat-accelerated hardware degradation of the central capacitive screen assembly commonly identified as ghost glitching, culminating in a total crash of the primary graphic interface and touch controller hardware. While your customer service infrastructure routinely classifies display anomalies as low-priority convenience or entertainment glitches, an objective systems analysis reveals that Honda has centralized critical safety telemetry, emergency communications, and vehicle calibration gateways into a single, unbacked hardware node. Consequently, the catastrophic failure of this infotainment module directly compromises the operational safety of this vehicle, presenting an immediate, unpredictable hazard not only to myself but to the general driving public sharing the roadway. The systematic failure modes of this defect are detailed as follows: 1 Multi-Module Network Failure and Primary Gauge Cluster Blindness The failure of the central display audio unit is not isolated to an entertainment screen. It acts as a network parasite that actively destabilizes the vehicle's primary Driver Information Interface DII on the steering wheel instrument cluster. Toggling the steering wheel controls to view Audio or System telemetry on the primary driver's dash gauge results in an immediate, total blackout of the left digital dashboard display. Because the central infotainment unit's microprocessor is frozen, degraded, or locked up, it fails to respond to high-priority internal Controller Area Network CAN bus data requests from the instrument cluster. This creates a severe data bottleneck that blinds the operator to system telemetry directly behind the steering wheel while traveling at highway speeds. Furthermore, while the vehicle's secondary hardwired communication circuit allows background audio streaming and steering wheel track-skipping overrides to function, the manual physical volume controls, dashboard knob,

This car has well known issues with the infotainment system probably since it came out and nothing has been fixed. There are constant ghost touches/glitching, especially when it gets hotter outside. Now after owning it for a year, Apple CarPlay freaks out. I’ll be listening to music and then suddenly the screen goes black. The buttons still work on the blacked out screen but nothing will pop back up. I had my dealership take a look and this is an ongoing issue with Honda. I’ve seen car forums talk about the same thing for years and nothing is being resolved permanently. This can be a distraction safety hazard. My other issue is the lane keep assist. It doesn’t detect lanes very well, especially if it’s faded or has sealed cracks. I could be driving the freeway speed limit and then the car suddenly brakes hard. I’m lucky no one was directly behind me when these incidents have happened or else I would’ve been rear-ended. Safety hazard for both complaints.

I purchased a 2022 Honda Accord Sport 2.0 in 2023 with less than 100 miles at the time of purchase. To this day it has 15,005 miles, I comply with recommended maintenence, however the car has been trying to kill me. I purchased Honda Care along with numerous other extended warranties. Mind you I paid for the ENTIRE car in cash. While driving, the car randomly slams on the breaks when no one is on the street and it also does in the middle of traffic. There have been several instances in which I have almost been rear ended because the vehicle slams on its breaks without notice. This happens even when the break assist is turned off. I turn it off everytime I start the car but it turns itself back on while the car is motion. One morning on my way to work there were no cars (5am), there was nothing in the road and the RED BRAKE DASH LIGHT Flashed then the car slammed on the brakes. I was traveling about 45-50 mph and the car abruptly stopped. I sustained multiple bruises from the seat belt shoulder strap and lap belt. I have previous chronic back issues that were aggrevated by this incident. I am still under a physicians care for my back issues (unrelated) but I do believe this occurrence aggrevated these issues even more. I did not want to make a huge deal out of this however the vehicle continues to slam on the brakes without notice and I am fearful that I will injure myself, my grandson, or someone else as a result of a defective vehicle. I took my car to Honda today 1/14/2026 and they were absolutely no help. There was no consistency when I was told how they could diagnose the problem & no time frame was given. There is nothing I could have done in order to make your automatic breaking system fail when Honda is the only one that does work on my car. I requested to speak to the GM Curtis Hensley and that request was ultimately denied. Honda care said the dealership could loan me a vehicle and the dealership said I had to rent it plus pay $180 diagnostic fee.

The problem is with the Infotainment system. It was replaced once under warranty but is again malfunctioning. The infotainment system controls some critical features of the vehicle. One instance is when trying to calibrate tpms after a low condition, it is impossible to get control of the display as it makes "Ghost" selections or is hung up. Resets both hard and soft do not work. Removing the negative battery cable doesn't work. Note that research shows many Accords and other models are effected. It also seems the manufacturer is aware of the situation and doing nothing to correct it. This is a safety issue. If it were just the radio effected, I really would care. But because the cars systems rely on the infotainment systems, its a concern. Symptoms are : Freezing & Crashing: The screen becomes unresponsive or shuts down unexpectedly. Phantom Touches: The screen registers touches that aren't happening, selecting things randomly on its own. Audio/Radio Malfunctions: Stations changing or Bluetooth disconnecting. System Restarts: The unit turns off and on by itself, even after the car is off.

This occurred twice both happened on the highway going 65 mph. I accelerated as usual, suddenly the check engine light began blinking and I lost the ability to accelerate (limp mode). The second occurrence, after calling Honda they recommended towing to dealership, which I did. At my dealership, they drove a lot, but could not duplicate issue. However, there was code DTC P0304 misfire. From the dealer paperwork "cylinder 4 swap spark plugs to known working plug misfire gone recommend replacing all plug random misfire. Removed and replaced all spark plugs." Since this repair two weeks ago, I have not had any issues and the acceleration feels less sluggish than before.
