In 2017, my vehicle was part of a Honda recall for the battery sensor. I had the recall service completed at Colerain Honda in Cincinnati, OH. Honda marked recall repair as completed in 2017, but the same defect has been ongoing since 2021 through today. I have had to replace multiple alternators and batteries, believing the recall repair (battery sensor issue) was properly resolved, but the issue persists. This raises concern that the recall work was either not done correctly or not done at all. The dealership has refused to provide records or assistance, leaving me to cover repair costs throughout the years. This is a safety and reliability concern that remains unresolved. When I contacted the dealership, they were unable or unwilling to provide documentation of the actual recall repair outside of "it's been completed, we can't see back that far", leaving me uncertain whether the work was properly performed and how they did it. I was also treated rudely and dismissed when requesting answers or proof. This raises a potential safety risk: If the recall repair was never done, my vehicle is still at risk of electrical fire or failure. If the repair was improperly performed, it could leave me and other drivers in danger. I am requesting NHTSA investigate whether Honda and Colerain Honda fulfilled their recall obligations in this case.

I am filing a complaint regarding an unresolved and hazardous safety issue tied to a federally mandated recall on my 2015 Honda Accord (Recall #KH0 – Battery Management Sensor). The recall was eventually performed, but only after inappropriate pushback from the dealer due to my vehicle having a salvage title — which is irrelevant under federal recall law. The core issue is that this sensor regulates the electrical system and can cause overcharging or undercharging — which in my case, led to premature alternator failure. Honda’s own Technical Service Bulletin (TSB 17-069) acknowledges the link between BMS failure and electrical system damage. Furthermore, Honda’s own documentation acknowledges that many customers — particularly used car or private party buyers — were never properly notified of the Battery Management Sensor (BMS) recall. As a result, these customers may be unjustly denied warranty or reimbursement claims, through no fault of their own. This applies directly to my case. I had already replaced the alternator out of pocket due to failure, long before I was ever informed of the recall. Once I became aware of the issue and brought the car in, I was relieved that Honda performed the BMS recall repair, which resolved the dashboard alerts. However, it is unfair and unacceptable that Honda refuses to cover the damage the faulty system caused prior to the recall being completed — especially when I was never properly notified in the first place. This places the financial burden of a known safety defect onto the customer, despite the existence of a federally mandated recall directly linked to the damage.

The vehicle was a private sale. At the time of purchase, the vehicle mileage was 60,300 and at the time of registration, it was discovered that the mileage was 242,000.

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, several unknown warning lights were illuminated, and the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated the failure occurred while driving on a steep hill. The contact stated that a passerby stopped and assisted with getting the vehicle to the shoulder of the roadway. The passerby connected battery cables to start the vehicle. The vehicle started and the contact drove the vehicle to a nearby Auto Parts store. The representative charged the battery overnight; however, the next day the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or the dealer. The contact stated that an elderly church member replaced the battery sensor; however, the failure reoccurred. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 109,000.

While I was driving my 2015 Honda accord my car suddenly slowed down. Then it stopped driving so I pulled to the side of the road. When I stopped and put it in park to turn off/on it didn’t move an inch. This happened on my way to work in traffic I have no idea what is going on. I’m located in the US Virgin Islands but the car was shipped down from Florida to here. We have an Honda dealership that I can carry it to if necessary for inspection. My safety at moment was very risky because I was on my way to work and it had traffic all of a sudden my car slows down with me on the highway without any warnings or indications that it was failing so I was really scared at the moment because I had to think fast to get myself to the side of the road. I haven’t carried it to a dealer as yet because I haven’t had time to do so. None of the superior authorities have inspected or has inspected my car since it has happened I called for opinions some said it could be transmission failure. They where no symptoms of any warning signs or indications that my vehicle was going to give out it just stopped moving.

Intermittent start of vehicle. Will drive fine even for a couple of hours. I stop for 10 minutes to go to store. Then its all dead. No power. Cannot even open the doors with my key fob. Tried pressing start - break pedal is hard. Called AAA. He did not have to jump start. I just kept pressing start. All of a sudden vehicle starts again like nothing happened. Its been fine so far for a week now. Happened twice already - same scenario. Drove it for an hour or so, then after stopping for 10 minutes its completely dead. Then will start again after several attempts -pressing the start button. Took it to Honda dealer. They cannot replicate the problem. Checked my starter, battery, alternator -did a multi-point inspection. Dealer said there are no errors. Cannot find any problem with my vehicle. They said to wait till it happens again and get it towed there dead. That's a terrible solution!

In November 2023 I began to experience difficulty starting the vehicle. The issue is the ignition switch has worn out. This issue is very random, I may start my car on average 10 times per day. It may not happen for 10 starts in a row. When it does happen, the vehicle may start after 3,5 7 tries or up to 20 including breaks in-between, different keys, etc. Key factors that have been eliminated are starter, battery and fuse. One important note I discovered today was that a mechanic on YouTube mentioned having to remove starter and add a plate to the one end, so this could be part of an electrical issue that may only be associated with another year Honda Accord specifically with a V6. This should be a SAFETY issue or at least diagnosed by Honda as it seems to be very prevalent within the brand and may occur in year #2 or #8. Having this random inoperable event happen when consumer is: 1. In a frigid snow storm rural part of America 2. In an emergency situation like medical, or safety late at night, with possible criminal entity or environment is not safe.

There are multiple complaints about starting issues and ABS module issues for 2013-2016 Accords online. I myself am also experiencing Starting issues and ABS issues I have bought a starter 4 times from Honda and they have all had the same issue of intermittently working. My ABS Module has just went out and Honda wants 1,300 for a problem that has been known about since the 2013 release. Something needs to be done as I have paid well over $3,000 for the issue to not be fixed.

I was driving on 02-03-2025 when suddenly the electric steering warning light came on. Immediately the steering became very difficult to turn. This all happened while I was driving.

This has happened twice now, seemingly out of the blue and seemingly since the Honda dealership replaced the car’s faulty starter and torque wheel. The electric power steering light comes on, the steering becomes stiff and the car hard to control. Luckily the first time, it was quick and then went away. I was rounding a corner and the car became difficult to control. I was going between 35-40 mph. The second time I was going 15-20 mph. I went over the railroad track which caused a slight bump, the power steering light came on and it became difficult to control the car. I pulled over to the side of the road and into a parking lot best I could. I turned the engine off and on again. I tried to move the steering wheel but it was still stiff. I turned the car off again and it seemed ok. I am lucky I was not traveling at 80 mph on the highway or couldn’t control the car in a different situation.

My daughter left for to go to ballet and at the end of our driveway the steering locked up, the EPS light came on. Now we have no power steering.

As we reported earlier (action number EA21001), the steering suddenly pulled 90 degrees to the left, sending the car into the opposing lane of traffic. This happened with absolutely no warning. Fortunately, no cars were approaching. The vehicle was inspected the Springfield, Pa., Honda service center. On Saturday, July 15, 2023, service representative Rasheed Gary informed us that the diagnostic report affirmed that \that the problem was "intermittent" and that for now Honda could do nothing about it. A copy of the diagnostic report was sent to us, and to Honda headquarters.

I purchased a car from AutoNation Toyota Hayward in Hayward California on June 21, 2025. And on June 24,2025, the check engine light appeared. A mechanic checked my car for the code and informed me that the catalytic converter is faulty. The dealership had informed me that they check the car prior to be sold. As it goes through multiple checks. However, the car that was sold was faulty. They refused to answer my questions as to why a faulty car was sold. As I was driving the car back to the dealership, I could smell the fumes throughout my car.

The contact owned a 2015 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked outside, the vehicle caught fire. The authorities were called to the scene and extinguished the fire. Upon inspection of the vehicle, the fire department determined that either the battery wiring and/or the roof wiring had caused the fire. The vehicle was towed to an independent tow yard where it was deemed a total loss. There were no injuries or property damage as a result of the fire. The dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer had yet to be notified. The vehicle was deemed a total loss. The failure mileage was approximately 92,000.

ALMOST ON A DAILY BASIS THE CAR WILL NOT START. AFTER SEVERAL TRIES IT WILL START AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED. WHEN I WOULD TRY TO START IT, IT JUST CLICKS, DOESN'T TURN OVER. ALL MY LIGHTS AND RADIO LIGHTS TURN ON EXCEPT THE CAR. AFTER 2-3 TRIES IT COMES ON. THEN THERE ARE SOME MORNINGS WHERE IT STARTS NO PROBLEM. JUST HIT AND MISS. I AM SCARED OF GETTING STRANDED SOMEWHERE OUT OF THE BLUE! THIS IS A RECALL PROBLEM DUE TO A BAD DESIGN CHANGE OF THE SOLENOID IN THE STARTER. I ALSO SMELLED SMOKE A FEW TIMES.

ENGINE WILL NOT START. 2015 HONDA ACCORD HAS ABOUT 84K MILES. I HAVE BEEN STRANDED TWICE NOW BECAUSE MY CAR WON'T START AND OFTEN REQUIRES BETWEEN 2-4 ATTEMPTS TO START THE ENGINE. THE CLUSTER LIGHTS TURN ON AND EVERYTHING POWERED BY THE BATTERY IS WORKING, WITHOUT THE ENGINE STARTING. I HAVE REPLACED THE BATTERY 3 TIMES (MARCH 2018, JANUARY 2020, MARCH 2021). PREVIOUS BATTERY WAS TESTED AND HAD PLENTY OF VOLTAGE LEFT AND WAS CHARGING WELL, SO THE ALTERNATOR IS WORKING WELL. KEY FOB BATTERY REPLACED 2 TIMES, MOST RECENTLY DECEMBER 2020 AND IS WORKING FINE. The transmission on my 2015 Honda Accord failed and I was stranded on the side of the road. The engine started to accelerate on its own and soon after the gas peddle was not working and I was forced to pull over. My safety was put at risk because I had to pull over on the highway late at night and was stranded. The transmission failed and the issue code is P1890. I found details on this known issue here: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10084981-2280.pdf There is no recall but it is a known issue, and I believe it is dangerous for Honda to allow these cars to remain on the road without new transmissions. According to the link I posted before, the only fix is a new transmission. I believe this should be issued as a recall so other Accord owners (2014-2016 years) do not face the same problem as I did. Faulty starter which went and was replaced at least twice by previous owner. Upon 2nd replacement of starter by me, the car still would not run. It was determined by my mechanic that this was a bigger issue and probably the torque converter had been ruined by the starter as the wheel was missing and had broken teeth due to impact of the starter. Honda dealership/maintenance confirmed this and the torque converter and starter needed to be replaced. This cost me $4500, not to mention the previous starters and labor. Honda confirmed after market starters cause damage to the torque wheel/converter. Many mechanics use aftermarket parts, as they are more affordable for the consumer. Honda should have specific notes on this, as to not cause damage to the vehicle. Honda would not cover the costs, as they said my car was no longer under warranty at 155,000 miles. However the starter had been replaced before 100,000 another time.

My car has been reliable other than standard maintenance; oil changes, brake pad changes, etc. On Friday, April 12 2024, I was driving down the highway at 60-70 mph when the engine felt like it lost power for half a second and I saw the RPMs rev up and then drop down when this "skipping" occurred. It happened several times and made me feel very unsafe in a high speed situation if I suddenly lost all engine power. I drove straight to my mechanic - they did not experience the skipping at low speeds on a test drive, but they recommended a transmission fluid flush. On draining the fluid, they said it was clean but had more metallic debris than would be expected for a usual transmission service. I drove the car over the weekend and the same engine loss of power was evident, but happened infrequently. Then on Monday, April 15 2024, the engine was losing power on the highway again and on the dash, a "D3" code was blinking. I went back to the mechanic, at low speeds, where they determined the transmission needs to be replaced - upon speaking with their Honda contact, this is becoming a known problem where transmissions are needing replacement in the 60-90k mile range. My car is at about 78k miles, we did have the transmission serviced at 34k miles and then not again until Friday the 12th - however there were no warning signs/sounds or error codes until the power loss on the highway and finally, the error code on Monday. The car is currently at the repair garage awaiting the expensive, replacement transmission and is available for further inspection.

Another vehicle pulled in front of my vehicle, I was unable to avoid the accident and struck the left side rear of his vehicle with my left front. The drivers side air bag did NOT deploy but the passengers side did deploy. I was wearing my seat belt as was my passenger in the right front seat, I also had a passenger in the right rear seat area and none of us were injured. I've been in contact with a couple body shops and the body shop where it's located and all of them said the drivers side air bag should have definitely deployed. No air bag lights were on prior to the accident as well as no other warning lamps. If I hadn't been wearing my seat belt I would have sustained injuries. The car is most likely totaled, the estimate is over $ 18000 and I am waiting for the insurance company to make a settlement offer.

My vehicle started to loose power while driving on the freeway. The engine light came on and my car was no capable to go over 40 miles.. the vehicle makes a whirring sound . The mechanic shop I took it states the engine code is P0087 and when he research my type of vehicle has a SAFETY RECALL: 2013-17 ACCORD L4 FUEL PUMP MODULE SET/ASSEMBLY REPLACEMENT DTC P0087. I have contacted Honda and they stated my vehicle was not affected; however the problem my vehicle has is exactly the Honda Safety Recall.

When the car is started up cold, it will sometimes start to stall on the road. Turning on and off the car usually gets it working correctly again. Usually will only happen if the temp is at or near freezing. 2015 Honda Accord EX. This has been. Happening for years, but Honda says that there’s no open recalls even though this seems to be similar to the recall (23V858000) from 12/17/2023.

In the last several years my daughter’s Honda Accord has stalled multiple times leaving her stranded and us having to have the vehicle towed. This last time was this evening in the middle of a busy intersection to get on a ramp to a highway. She was unable to get out of the car due to traffic and barely avoided getting rear ended. The time before was in the middle of the interstate. The car just died. We have had it towed multiple times to auto shops and have been told it is a fuel pump issue and the recall on the car needs fixed. I have tried repeatedly to get this fixed and I’ve been told that none of the dealers have the parts from Honda that once a dealership gets a part and they will let us know. I asked what are we supposed to do till then as this is an extreme safety hazard for my daughter to drive this car, and have gotten no answers to when this part will even be in.

I am reporting a critical safety issue with my 2015 Honda Accord that poses a significant risk to my safety and that of others on the road. Although my VIN is not currently included in the active recall for the fuel pump affecting 2013-2017 Honda Accords, my vehicle is experiencing symptoms consistent with the issues described in the recall. Incident Details: On 9/28/2024, while driving, my vehicle suddenly lost power. It was limited to approximately 2,500 RPM and a speed of 40-45 MPH. This unexpected loss of power could have resulted in a severe accident, especially if I had been on a freeway or in heavy traffic where other drivers would not have anticipated my sudden deceleration. Diagnostic Findings: I took the vehicle to a mechanic, who scanned the fault code as DTC P0087 (Fuel Rail Pressure Too Low), confirming that the fuel pump is malfunctioning. The car can be made available for inspection upon request. Previous Condition: Prior to this incident, there were no warning lights or indications of a fuel system issue or any other issue. The sudden failure of the fuel pump has rendered my vehicle undriveable for over a week. Service Challenges: I reached out to the dealership for inspection and potential repairs; however, they quoted me $250 for the inspection and indicated there is a shortage of necessary parts, with a potential wait time of several months. This delay is unacceptable, given the safety risks involved. Conclusion: Given the correlation between my vehicle’s symptoms and the ongoing recall for fuel pump failures, I urge NHTSA to investigate this issue further. I believe my vehicle should be included in the recall, as it shares the same safety risks outlined in the active recall. This situation poses a significant risk not only to myself but also to other drivers on the road. Thank you for addressing this serious safety concern. I look forward to your prompt action.

I had a high pressure fuel pump failure on August 14 2022. I was driving on the highway in stop and go traffic when suddenly my car could not accelerate over 30mph. This was dangerous not only for me but for others around me. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where they diagnosed it was a high pressure fuel pump failure. I was then told that this is a very rare part to have failed and there was no cause to the failure. There were no warning lamps, symptoms, or other messages prior to the failure.

I WEIGH APPROXIMATELY 130 POUNDS. AND THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED TO MY CAR. THE MOTOR FOR THE DRIVERS SEAT STARTED MAKING WEIRD RATTLING NOISES. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED WAS WHEN I HAD ABOUT 1 YEAR WITH MY CAR. AND SINCE IT WAS COVERED UNDER WARRANTY I TOOK IT IN TO THE HONDA DEALER IN REDLANDS, CA. THEY 'FIXED' IT. AND NOW 4 YEARS LATER AFTER THAT IT'S MESSED UP AGAIN. EITHER THE MOTORS THAT CONTROL THE SEATS ARE MESSED UP. OR I'M DEFINITELY TO HEAVY FOR MY CAR SEAT TO HANDLE MY WHOLE 130 POUNDS. SEATS ARE EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE AND CAUSE SEVERE NECK, BACK, AND HIP PAIN. THE HEAD REST FORCES YOUR HEAD FORWARD AND PLACES STRAIN ON YOUR NECK AND BACK. ADJUSTING LUMBAR DOES NOT HELP BUT RATHER CAUSES PAIN IN THE LEGS AND BUTTOCKS. SEAT SURFACES ARE FLAT AND LACK CONTOUR THEREFORE THE DRIVER AND PASSENGERS CONTINUALLY SHIFT. HONDA REFUSES TO ADDRESS THE ISSUE AND HAS DONE NOTHING TO HELP ALLEVIATE THE ISSUE. WE HAVE OWNED 5 HONDA AUTOMOBILES AND WILL NO LONGER PURCHASE HONDA VEHICLES AS THE QUALITY AND CUSTOMER SERVICE HAS GONE DOWN HILL.

THE DRIVERS SEAT TRIM HAS FALLEN OFF NOW FOR THE 4TH TIME. THE LAST TIME I HAD IT FIXED IT LOOKED LIKE IT MIGHT STAY IN PLACE. THE SEATS ARE EXTREMELY UNCOMFORTABLE IN THE 2015 HONDA CRV. THE DRIVER SIDE IN PARTICULAR IS VERY FIRM AND HITS PRESSURE POINTS IN THE LEGS, NO MATTER HOW THE SEAT IS ADJUSTED. DRIVING THIS VEHICLE FOR MORE THAN 1/2 AN HOUR CAUSED PAIN IN MY SCIATIC NERVE, WITH THE PAIN RADIATING DOWN MY LEG AND UP INTO MY LOW BACK. I COULD NOT GET COMFORTABLE ON A 4 HOUR DRIVE, DESPITE TRYING EVERY CONFIGURATION OF AVAILABLE SEATING ADJUSTMENTS. I PURCHASED THIS VEHICLE A WEEK AND A HALF AGO AND HAVE 30 DAYS TO RETURN THIS CAR TO CARMAX. I PLAN TO DO SO BECAUSE IT IS SO UNCOMFORTABLE TO DRIVE.

I HAVE A HONDA ACCORD COUPE. THE BAR AROUND THE SEAT ON THE DRIVER'S SIDE HAS BROKEN FOR THE FOURTH TIME IN JUST OVER TWO YEARS. IT HAS BEEN FIXED THREE TIMES BUT THE DEALER STATED WE WERE ON OUR OWN THE FOURTH TIME. ONE TIME WHEN MY HUSBAND TOOK THE CAR FOR THE DEALER TO LOOK AT FOR REPAIR, THEY FIXED THE CAR AS ANOTHER PERSON DID NOT SHOW WHO HAD THE SAME PROBLEM. A quick online search proves that this is a very common issue on Honda Accords. This was also confirmed by Honda Dealer Service department and two independent mechanics. Honda needs to issue a recall for effected vehicles.

PASSENGER SIDE REAR BRAKE CAPILER SEIZED ON A 2015 HONDA ACCORD WITH ONLY 41,400 MILES ON THE CAR. THANKFULLY IT DIDN'T CAUSE AN ACCIDENT. BEFORE THE FAILURE, BRAKE PADS WERE GOOD AND MEASURED 7 ON FRONTS AND 6 ON THE REARS. THE CAR HAD ALL ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT AND THE 3 YEAR MANUFACTURERS WARRANTY HAD ENDED ABOUT 9 MONTHS PRIOR TO THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE OF THE CAPILER DESTROYED THE BRAKE PAD MAKING THE BRAKE METAL ON METAL WHICH RUINED THE ROTOR. THE FAILURE REQUIRED THE CAR TO NEED REPLACEMENT OF REAR CAPILERS, BRAKE PADS, AND ROTORS ON BOTH REAR TIRES. THE SAFETY DEPARTMENT SHOULD LOOK INTO DEFECTS OF THE HONDA ACCORD REAR BRAKING SYSTEM BECAUSE THESE DEFECTS/FAILURES COULD CAUSE SERIOUS ACCIDENTS AND INJURIES.

STARTED CAR, DROVE ON HIGHWAY 20 MILES. PARKED CAR TO RUN AN ERRAND. TRIED TO START CAR 5 MINS LATER; LIGHTS LIT UP ON DASH BUT CAR WOULD NOT START. TRIED SEVERAL TIMES, FINALLY WAS SUCCESSFUL STARTING CAR AND CONTINUED DRIVE TO WORK. DROVE TO MADISON HONDA, RT 24, MADISON, NJ. ADVISED THEM OF ISSUE WHILE CAR WAS RUNNING. THEY EXAMINED CAR AND CAME BACK 45 MINS LATER SAYING ALL SYSTEMS (BATTERY, STARTER AND ALTERNATOR) WERE IN GOOD WORKING ORDER. NO ISSUES FOUND. THEY COULD NOT REPEAT MY PROBLEM SO DISREGARDED IT. BROUGHT THE CAR USED FROM DEALER AND AFTER 6 MONTHS I TRIED TO START THE CAR AND ONLY HEAD A CLICK NOISE. THE CAR WAS PARKED, CLUTCH PRESSED TO THE FLOOR AND GEAR SHIFT IN NEUTRAL. LOW TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR LIGHT COMES ON INTERMITTENTLY, HOWEVER WHEN CHECKED TIRE PRESSURES ARE FINE - THIS OCCURED OVER THE FIRST YEAR OF OWNING THE CAR, FINALLY THE DEALERSHIP SAID THEY RESOLVED THE ISSUE AND HAD INFLATED ALL TIRES TO 32 PSI AND RESET SENORS. HOWEVER CHECKING THE TIRE PRESSURE TODAY, (AT THE DEALERSHIP) ALL 4 TIRES WERE AT 21 PSI AND NO SENSOR LIGHT FOR LOW PRESSURE WAS ON. DURING THE FIRST THREE EPISODES OF LOW TIRE LIGHT - A FORMAL COMPLAINT WAS FILED WITH HONDA, THEY ASSURED US THAT THE PROBLEM WAS RESOLVED, HOWEVER APPEARS TO STILL BE AN ISSUE, DRIVING ON 4 UNDERINFLATED TIRES IS ALSO A SERIOUS RISK (WE ONLY HAD THEM CHECKED BECAUSE OF THE CHANGE IN SEASONS FOR WINTER TO SPRING). THE CAR WAS TAKEN TO MY LOCAL DEALERSHIP AND WAS DIAGNOSED AGAIN WITH A FAULTY WHEEL BEARING AT 26,690 MILES. RESEARCH HAS SHOWN THIS IS A RECURRING ISSUE FOR THE 2014-2015 MODEL YEARS FOR MY VEHICLE. MY WARRANTY WILL BE UP IN NOVEMBER 2017 AND I AM CONCERNED THAT I MAY CONTINUE TO HAVE RECURRING ISSUES AND EXPENSES DUE TO THIS KNOWN PROBLEM. The contact owns a 2015 Honda Accord. The contact stated while her husband was at a stationary at a traffic light, the vehicle accelerated independently. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The contact stated that the failure had been experienced several times. The contact stated that her husband depressed the brake pedal to fully stop the vehicle; however, intermittently he had to shift into park(P) to stop the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer however, the technician was unable to duplicate the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

Honda Accord Touring Hybrid 2015. I was parked in front of a building and the car speed up and crashed against a wall. I was not stepping on the gas or the breaks. The car was on parking. I got injured and the airbags deployed. I did some research on the internet and this has happened before. I am glad I am fine.

AFTER EXITING A DRIVE-THRU CAR WASH, DROVE THROUGH THE PARKING LOT AND STOPPED BEHIND A CAR EXITING VIA A DRIVEWAY ONTO MAIN STREET. WHILE I APPLIED BRAKE THE ENGINE BEGAN TO RACE UP TO 5000 RPM. There was a recall on some of the 2015 for engine cutting out at times when you turn and try to accelerate and nothing happens. Well its been doing it with my car but they say not part of recalls. The engine makes a very loud rattle at cold startup for about 1 to 3 seconds. It only makes this noise when starting the car for the first time that day, unless it has been sitting for 5+ hours, then will rattle again at cold startup. Also, The engine burns 1 quart of oil approximately every 2500-3000 miles requiring additional oil to be added.

Driving and without warning steering light came on, display flickered, engine surged, and complete loss of steering in a matter seconds. I was barely able to turn car onto a driveway where the engine shutdown. I restarted engine and noticed considerable knocking, put car in gear and engine shut-off. I had car towed to a garage and am waiting for info. I should note that the previous month there has been some parasitic draw that requires me to jump start the car every few days even with a new battery.

Multiple issues having to do with battery replacement, Alternator, and starter. Discussed this same issue with Honda they have ignored the issue had the vehicle inspected by dealership multiple times and by local mechanics. The vehicles also for many years would lock steering wheel and starter would lock wouldn't allow driver to start also when vehicle starts it’s a full force at once and you feel the force. I am worried that’s there is an issue also when the fuel travels after it starts from the full force I had mentioned.

While performing a normal U-Turn at a stop sign, I turned the wheel all the way to the left. When the wheel reached it's max rotation to the left, the Power Steering light on the dash flashed for a second, but at the same time the whole car turned off and then back on. I was stopped mid-turn until the car restarted. Not knowing what happened, I continued the turn slowly and when the wheel reached the max rotation the same light flicker and car restart happened. I tested once again while parked and confirmed that when I turn the wheel completely to the left, the car restarts. My safety was put at risk due to other cars at the stop sign not anticipating my car stopping in the middle of the intersection. No accidents or injuries occured. Based on limited research, it appears this is a defect that has been reported before for my make and model of car. I have not had my car inspected at this time. There were no previous indicators (warnings, messages, or symbols), prior to the failure.

Door locks will stop working randomly. Some doors will not lock or unlock. I took to metro honda once to get it fixed and again it is happening. The driver side back door never locks or unlocks. The other back door started doing the same this past week. And the passenger door wouldn’t lock or unlock but since taking it to metro it has worked. This will start happening randomly. Also, i have been having problems with the starter. I got it replaced one a couple months ago from a mechanic and again it will not turn on on the first try.

Initially it started as ignition starter issues, now there seems to be what may be concluded as transmission issues. After doing research i see Hondas history of bad transmissions. Extremely low acceleration causes dangerous lane switching or merging with traffic, also the fear of it stalling and no longer working as I drive.

WE HAVE HAD INTERMITTENT PROBLEMS WHERE THE CAR WILL NOT START. IT JUST MAKES A CLICKING SOUND. WE CAN JUMP START IT AND DRIVE IT AROUND AND SOMETIMES THE PROBLEM GOES AWAY FOR MONTHS AT A TIME. THEN RANDOMLY IT WILL NOT START AGAIN. I HAVE HAD THE BATTERY AND CHARGING SYSTEM CHECKED MULTIPLE TIMES BY AUTOZONE, ADVANCE AUTO, O'REILLY, AND WALMART SERVICE CENTER. THE BATTERY AND CHARGING SYSTEM ALWAYS REPORTS AS FINE. I RECENTLY HAD THE OIL CHANGED AT WALMART AND THE SERVICE TECHNICIAN COULD NOT GET IT TO START. HE JUMPED IT AND DROVE AROUND TO THE OTHER SIDE OF THE BAY TO CHECK THE BATTERY AND IT HAPPENED AGAIN. HE REMOVED THE CABLES AND CLEANED THE TERMINALS AND SPRAYED ON BATTERY POST PROTECTANT AND THEN JUMPED IT AGAIN. I DROVE HOME AND HAD NOT HAD ANY PROBLEMS FOR OVER A MONTH AND NOW IT HAS HAPPENED AGAIN. THIS ALL STARTED AFTER HAVING THE FACTORY RECALL BATTERY MANAGEMENT SENSOR REPLACED IN LATE 2017. THIS IS AT LEAST THE EIGHT TIME OVER THE PAST 1+ YEARS. I WAS TOLD BY AT LEAST ONE AUTOZONE EMPLOYEE THAT THEY HAVE SEEN MANY HONDA VEHICLES WITH A SIMILAR PROBLEM BECAUSE THE BATTERY SENSOR OR MAIN FUSE BLOCK WILL INTERMITTENTLY BLOCK ANY VOLTAGE COMING FROM THE BATTERY INTO THE STARTING SYSTEM. IT IS RANDOM AND WILL SOMETIMES EVEN PREVENT A JUMP START UNLESS YOU TAP ON THE TOP OF THE SENSOR. AND THEN IT STARTS FINE. MY LOCAL HONDA DEALERSHIP CLAIMS THERE IS NO SUCH PROBLEM AND REFUSED TO CALL ME BACK TO HAVE THE VEHICLE CHECKED WHILE STILL UNDER WARRANTY. 2015 HONDA HAS INTERMITTENT ISSUES WITH STARTING. I HEAR A CLICK AND THEN IT DOESN'T START. MY RADIO SHOWS AND SO DO MY DASH LIGHTS. IT DOESN'T SEEM TO BE RESETTING MY RADIO CLOCK. I PLUG A JUMPER PACK IN AND IT IMMEDIATELY STARTS. I TOOK IT TO AUTOZONE AND MY BATTERY IS 100%. I TOOK IT TO THE HONDA DEALERSHIP AND THEY STATE THAT MY BATTERY, STARTER, AND ALTERNATOR ARE WORKING GREAT. THEY SAY THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR, BUT ONCE I LEAVE TO STOP IN TO A STORE FOR 10 MINUTES, IT SUDDENLY WON'T START AGAIN. IT IS HAPPENING JUST OUT OF THE WARRANTY PERIOD. HEADLIGHTS ARE DANGEROUS. WHEN RAINING AT NIGHT I CAN'T EVEN SEE WHAT LANE I'M IN. IS ESPECIALLY BAD WHEN CARS ARE ON OTHER SIDE OF ROAD. OLDER PEOPLE HAVE A HIGH END HEARING LOSS. HENCE, THE DRIVER WHO HAS THE SIGNAL ON CANNOT HEAR IT AND IT MISLEADS ON-COMING AND FOLLOWING VEHICLES. IT SHOULD BE CHANGED TO A LOW PITCH WHICH PEOPLE WITH HEARING LOSS WILL BE ABLE TO HEAR. Steering system is stiff and all the warning lights are on in the dashboard. Vehicle pulls hard to the left and you have to hold the wheel steady to keep it from pulling to the left. Appears there is a steering rack issue. I've seen on internet that many 2015 Accords have this issue. There needs to be a recall. Honda dealership quoting $3500 to $5000 to repair. This is not right!!

While driving home from work, taking my usual country highway, suddenly my car took a sharp turn out of nowhere. I did not brake but tried to steer myself back to my lane. The vehicle jerked that direction, then jerked back the other way. I went back and forth four or five times before very carefully slowing down and pulling the car to the side of the road. Thankfully, no other vehicles were beside or coming toward me, or I am sure this would have resulted in an accident. Multiple dash symbols were lit up and remained on after turning off the car and on again. These were Vehicle Stability Assist, Electric Power Steering, Low Tire Pressure, Forward Collision Warning, and Lane Departure Warning. I waited on the side of the road until a tow truck could pick it up. The service center told us after their test drive that there is nothing wrong with this vehicle. Nothing has been done, and I fear the next time the vehicle decides to "act up."

System charging error prompts on the dash board continuously. Check my battery and it’s not my battery. Steering wheel light turned on and car began to lock and the whole dashboard started to flicker while I was driving . I was driving and my steering wheel locked on me always causing an accident. I tried getting a jump and my battery is fine. Then when I try to move the vehicle the steering wheel starts to lock up. My radio even started to reset and glitch and my system was shutting back on and off while I was driving.

On June 17, 2025, I went with my mechanic to inspect a car I was considering purchasing. The vehicle is a 2015 Honda Accord Sport, showing approximately 60,000 miles on the odometer. My mechanic performed a diagnostic scan, and everything appeared to be in good working order at the time. However, on June 23, 2025, I went to the DMV to register the vehicle, and I was informed that the car has a fraudulent odometer reading. The DMV has opened an investigation, but I won’t receive the results for a few months. I am now concerned that the car may not be safe to drive. It emits a burnt plastic smell after being driven and turned off, which raises serious safety concerns. I paid $10,700 for the vehicle and an additional $311 to register it and obtain a temporary plate.

There has been numerous reports on forums such as Reddit and also in most comments on youtube concerning the VSA solenoid valve malfunction and how it is a safety concern on almost all Honda Accord 12-17 . Recently, I have been a victim of this and the repair is so pricy that it is either I take a loan to fix it, or I become a risk to other road users. I would advise that NHTSA issue a recall on all Honda Accord trims (2012-2017) as most vehicles on the road will have this issue and will pose a safety concern to other road users.

I was told by King Honda in Auburn Alabama that this is a $2000 dollar issue and they do not know when the part will be available due to being on backorder. Please advise.

I WAS ABOUT TO PARK MY 2015 HONDA ACCORD LX IN A PARKING SPOT IN PARKING LOT IN FRONT OF A SHOPPING CENTRE. THE CAR WAS CRUISING AT 2-3 MILES PER HOUR AT THIS TIME. THERE WAS A SUDDEN AND RAPID ACCELERATION WHICH WAS HIGHLY DISPROPORTIONATE TO THE SLOW SPEED WHILE I WAS ENTERING THE PARKING SPOT. I APPLIED THE BRAKES BUT IT DIDN'T HELP STOP OR SLOW DOWN THE VEHICLE. THE CAR MOVED FORWARD WITH THE SAME RAPID ACCELERATION IN THE EMPTY PARKING SPOT IN FRONT AND STARTED MOVING TOWARDS THE NEXT PARKING ROW IN FRONT. I SWUNG THE CAR TO THE RIGHT ON TO THE ROAD BETWEEN THE TWO PARKING ROWS IN ORDER TO AVOID COLLISION WITH THE CARS IN THE NEXT ROW. THE CAR WAS STILL MOVING WITH RAPID ACCELERATION. I TRIED APPLYING BRAKES HARD BUT THE CAR WOULDN'T SLOW DOWN OR STOP. I BRUSHED THE BUMPER OF ANOTHER CAR IN THE PROCESS. I FINALLY HIT ANOTHER CAR PARKED NEAR A CURB AT THE END OF THE PARKING LOT. THE IMPACT WAS SO HIGH THAT THE OTHER CAR SWUNG 90 DEGREES. MY CAR STOPPED AFTER GETTING STUCK ON THE CURB AND WEDGED AGAINST THE OTHER CAR. THE AIRBAGS EXPLODED DUE TO THE HUGE IMPACT. The contact owns a 2015 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while her daughter was driving 25 MPH, there was an abnormal knocking sound coming from the engine compartment, and the vehicle started to vibrate, and almost stalled. The contact’s daughter safely drove to the residence, and the vehicle was towed to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that there were two engine cylinders that were inoperable, and that the engine needed to be disassembled for additional diagnostic testing. The contact was informed that the engine needed to be replaced. The contact linked the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V121000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING); however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 93,466.

Upon starting the car (54,000 miles) the ABS Light, Steering light, FCW, LDW, Brake light came on. After looking in the manual it was determine that the car was dangerous to drive. I did not experience anything indicating an issue with the car before this happened. I took it to Scott Clark Honda right away. The dealer preformed a diagnostic test which showed the Anti lock braking system Solenoid Value was Malfunctioning, the Electric Power Steering was experiencing a problem in the "VSA" System, the Forward Collision warning, and Lane Departure warning were showing a "VSA" Brake Actuator Malfunction. The car was underivable without getting this repaired. Because the VSA Solenoids are built inside the ABS Modulator they can not be replaces separately. The cost to repair this $2764 the part cannot be replace without a $150 Brake Fluid exchange. The initial Diagnostic fee was $30. The out of pocket expense to drive the vehicle was $2944 plus tax and shop fees. There are multiple complaints regarding the same issue. Please issue a recall. I would like Honda to reimburse me for the repair costs.

Winter 2022 The problem occurred after icy conditions in Texas and ABS, traction control and steering system lights came on in my Gage cluster, since then i have tried many things to fix the issue went as far as replacing the knuckle full assembly with abs speed sensor. Later I search across the internet of honda owners and noticed its a common issue and a very expensive 1, my local honda quoted $2800 for the part. My safety has been compromised on many occasions including brakes locking during wet conditions, my car slipped out of control because of the lack of traction control nearly causing a bad accident. I have been driving extremely cautiously, and during wet conditions driving my other vehicle. Due to the abs/vsa module malfunction there are so many components attached to the system Including tpms, srs, steering system, and including but not limited to ABS, currently all these lights are on in my dashboard please investigate this common issue that many honda owners experienced and after further research many youtubers opened module to discover a lot of circuit to selinoid issues, Please help us make Honda accountable for there mistakes and faulty parts that are so expensive and cheaply made, that may or have caused so many Americans hardship and financial repercussions. I shall be very tahnkful.

Honda recalled the VSA Modulator in previous models (not accord) so can we all agree that there needs to be a push to recall this issue and Honda should Be fixing it! 7.5 yr old car that can’t use any ABS or VSA because Honda is not supplying a key safety module. The quote fix the so called issue is over $2,600 dollars! Is someone going to have to be seriously hurt or killed before anything is done??? I’ll start by saying my car is impeccably maintained at the Honda dealership! I have reached out to Honda and even emailed the hard of Honda motor corp in Japan and my cars problems. In the last 16 months my car has trouble starting , failed to start on several times , and for [XXX] reason the battery charging issue light comes on , as well as forward control warning light . It began last spring 2022. I need the main and rear seal replaced , a new battery eve though mine wasn’t a year old and was purchased and installed at the Honda dealer, it also needed a new alternator. Within 10-15 minutes of driving all the dashboard lights flashed smoke poured out of the engine.the car overheated while I was driving in the highway ! I was stranded in busy highway traffic . I also had a new battery cable replaced. That was between march and April of last year. All is documented and reported to Honda. Highly unusual for a 7 year old car with 50,000 to need 2 seals, a new battery each year for 3 years in a row , a new battery cable , and alternator . I also reported the car isn’t driving well . 1 year later and I need another alternator and a starter! In March The car wasn’t starting it made clicking noises - it needed a starter and now in July it the battery charging issue light was again flashing and needed another alternator . My car is nether safe nor reliable . There is no doubt my car has MAJOR electrical issues that are ongoing and unresolved.it is NOT just my Honda accord.the records show this.Please do something .I can not afford a new car . Honda says they are about safety but they are NOT ! With so many ongoing electrical problems it is not if but when something will happen. I’ve made it clear to honda and now you that we the consumer need help from the ongoing honda electrical issues plaguing the accords before there are fatalities. Also, do more psa letting consumers know they need to report issue on your site- o didnt know and I am pretty savvy . April 2021 while driving dash guages stopped. No speedometer, no rpm, no temperature. Flashing fcw system failed began to flash. Multiple warning lights appeared. Check engine, power steering, break, abs, fcw, ldw, airbag, vsa and tpms. Honda of Gainesville in Florida has had my car for almost a year. No fix. Replaced engine harness, engine fusebox, computer, and cluster. To no avail. Now they say I need an interior fuse box and entire interior wiring harness. I believe they are just guessing at this point. According to honda internet forums this is a common issue with many years and models. No fix. This has been reported by many honda owners as a safety issue that should be recalled. It is incredibly unsafe to drive this vehicle with all these systems in fail. Please review. Battery has been replaced 3 times. Starter is failing. It sometimes takes up to 15 minutes or more to crank my car making me late for work. Running errands/getting in & out of the car & having to turn the key 50 times in the heat of summer with a baby in the car is a safety hazard. Fuel pump issue when I put my car in reverse & start to back up, my car will die. Another safety hazard because I don’t have control of my car, it just keeps rolling backwards after it dies & doesn’t allow me to get out of the way if another vehicle is coming. Information center on the dashboard often tells me to check fuel cap. Anything happening in the fuel area is certainly hazardous. I’ve called the Honda dealership & they tell me my car is no longer under warranty. Yes, everything is available for inspection. The starter problem has been confirmed by an independent service center. The fuel cap notification appeared 2 weeks ago but the car has been dying in reverse for 2 years. The starter began failing 4 months ago with no help from the Honda dealership due to my warranty being expired.

Driving at Interstate speeds, I had the engine suddenly **THUNK** and lose power. I limped it to the side of the road to get out of traffic. I went to investigate and the vehicle would not even idle. It just shut off After having it towed back to local service company, looked at, and the dealership I bought it at to look at, I am told the main bearing failed on the connecting rod. The thunks I hear is the rod spinning in there, shearing off metal shavings that are now all over inside the engine bay. Honda has a TSB out for the car, for this exact issue, but my VIN number somehow doesn't fit in their window. Component that failed - Main bearing on the Connecting Rod Safety of myself and others - Gave out while driving highway speeds, which caused the car to lose power to keep it at highway speeds. Had to limp it to the shoulder Reproduction of problem - Yes, at an independent service center and a dealership service center Component inspected - not by any of the listed people, just the service centers Warning lamps, messages, symptoms - None whatsoever I have amazon receipts of items purchased for all at home maintenance done on the vehicle since it was bought new. THE HONDA DEALERSHIP, WHERE THE CAR WAS PURCHASED IN MARLTON, NJ, (BURNS), WAS RELUCTANT TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE POSSIBILITY THAT THE SUNROOF SPONTANEOUSLY SHATTERED AND EVEN HAD THE AUDACITY TO CHARGE US FOR TOUCH-UP PAINT. IT DOESN'T STALL, JUST DOESN'T RESPOND TO THE GAS PEDAL. MOST TIMES, HAPPENS IN SECOND GEAR. RELEASING THE GAS PEDAL AND THEN PRESSING IT AGAIN MOST TIMES RESOLVES THE PROBLEM. SOMETIMES, IT TAKES A FEW TRIES. THIS IS A VERY DANGEROUS PROBLEM, AND I HAVE HAD MANY MOTORISTS SWERVE AROUND ME OR BLOW THE HORN AT ME BECAUSE I CAN'T GET THE CAR MOVING FAST ENOUGH. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, there was an abnormal trembling sensation experienced, accompanied by a clunking sound coming from underneath the front driver’s side of the vehicle, with the TPMS warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the front passenger’s side axle boot was faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 242,024.

I own a 2015 Honda Accord EX-L V6 3.5L that I purchased brand new from the dealership with zero miles. I’ve taken excellent care of the vehicle, and because I typically drive short distances, it only has 93,000 miles as of June 2025. Despite the low mileage and proper maintenance, the intake manifold plenum (part #17160-5G0-A00) now needs to be replaced due to significant deterioration. The material used for this part is poorly made, it corrodes and breaks down over time, causing vacuum leaks. This is a well-documented, widespread issue in Honda vehicles globally. In my case, the deterioration has caused performance and safety concerns and has rendered my car undrivable. To make matters worse, this part is on national backorder with no estimated delivery date. I’ve contacted numerous dealerships and suppliers with no success, leaving me without a working vehicle or timeline for repair. I rely on this car for transportation, work, and daily responsibilities. It is extremely frustrating that a critical engine component is both defective and unavailable, especially when so many other Honda owners are facing the same problem. I am filing this complaint to raise awareness and request a timely investigation and resolution.

The ABS Light, steering light, FCW, LDW, and brake light came on. I did not experience anything indicating an issue with the car before this happened. I took my car to Open Road Honda in Edison, NJ. The dealer performed a diagnostic test which showed the module(solenoid) had fried. This resulted in the "VSA" System warning lights to appear (ABS Light, steering light, FCW, LDW, and brake warning lights to show). The car is pretty much undriveable without getting this repaired. Because the VSA Solenoids are built inside the ABS Modulator, they can not be replaced separately. The cost to repair this, $3800 with an initial Diagnostic fee was $250. There are multiple complaints I found in YouTube, Reddit, and other blogs stating the same issue even for cars under 100k miles. If possible, please issue a recall on this part since this impacts all Honda Accords from 2013-2017.

Car was in accident late August 2024. Car was brought to Honda dealership in Harrisonburg, VA. Repairs were made early September 2024 except for driver seat belt. Part is currently still on backorder with Honda (today is 1/16/2025). A case (#XXX) has been opened with Honda Corporate but part has no estimated date available. Car can not be driven as it is not legal or safe to drive without part. Part must be a new part, no used or remanufactured part is acceptable. Honda continues to produce new vehicles with seat belts but they are not providing required safety parts for existing cars. The contact owns a 2015 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving 70 MPH, the vehicle lost motive power. The vehicle intermittently stalled, and the contact stated that after waiting several minutes for the engine to cool down, the vehicle returned to normal operation; however, the vehicle was shuddering. No warning light was illuminated; however, the "VSC System Failure" message was displayed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed and the contact was informed that the throttle control system needed to be replaced. The independent mechanic made the contact aware of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and 20V769000 (Power Train); however, the VIN was not included. Getting error P2602 Low Voltage Coolant Pump. No visible sings of failure or damage to the pump or wiring. Tested power, ground, and signal and found them all to be ok. Vehicle has 133,000 miles. Engine is not running hot at all. Very cool to the touch, error P2602 causes car to go into limp mode and can not drive past 40 mph. Issue could be from Pump recalls from other honda models that used the same pump that is in the 2015 Honda Hybrids. Honda did not include 2015 Honda Hybrid in the recall when they should have, because its the same pump that was recalled in other hondas. Took the car to dealer in Auburn, WA, Hinshaw's Honda. Please get report from them. To get a second opinion took car to an independent Honda repair. Again same issue, stating pump replacement.

The contact owns a 2015 Honda Accord. The contact stated that after starting the vehicle, the engine made an abnormal ticking sound. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where an oil change was performed; however, the abnormal ticking sound became significantly louder. There was no warning light illuminated. The independent mechanic informed the contact that the engine had failed. The contact stated while driving 45-50 MPH two hours later, the failure recurred, and the vehicle shuddered and stalled in the middle of the road. The contact was able to restart the vehicle and drove 50 feet into a gas station driveway, where the vehicle stalled. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The Subaru dealer where the vehicle was purchased from, was contacted, and informed the contact that the vehicle was not covered under an Extended Warranty due to the mileage. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V121000 (Engine and Engine Cooling). Additionally, the contact stated that the Forward Collision Avoidance Warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was awaiting a call back from the manufacturer. The failure mileage was approximately 101,000.

Issue where multiple dashboard indicator lights coming on. Tire Pressure, ABS, Power Steering, and Traction Control lights specifically all on at the same time. Car typically drives fine but will intermittently not want to accelerate and/or brakes are trying to apply themselves while trying to accelerate. This is a dangerous safety issue as I could be driving on the highway the car all of sudden would not continue accelerating. Short term Workaround is turning Traction Control off but does not last. In general issue seems to be electrical. Could be battery, ABS Module needing a reset to neutral, wheel speed sensors are bad, PCM Module faulty, fuel pump failing, VSA issue or needing a reset, faulty wiring, or a combination of all of these mentioned. I took to a Honda dealership (Mall of GA) and they could not resolve the issue and recommended a VSA Module replacement which is a $2000+ repair. This issue came up for me in mid-July 2023 and as of this post is still an issue. This should be recall as I keep seeing complaints about this online in various forums for 2012-2017 Honda Accords.

Problems began at 50,000 miles and now at 60,000 a year and 1/2 later they are ongoing . Electrical and engine …. Honda knows all the problems bless I am having are in many of their models! This is DANGEROUs and Honda is negligent ! First it was my car wouldn’t start. The alternator went also It needed to have the front and rear seal replaced . That is crazy ! It must be leaking oil and needed the seals due to improper torque. Had that repaired and within 2 weeks I kept saying it wasn’t running right. THEN My car overheated after driving for 10 min on a busy highway in Atlanta. Smoke pouring out of the hood. I was trapped and couldn’t get out because of traffic. HORRIFIC experience.! Electrical issue began at 50,000 miles at the same time . Electrical issues ongoing AND engine does not run right. It’s rough loud , judders , it can be sluggish or no responsive, Last year my car had 50,000 miles. It had gone through a battery every year and 1-2. Then 16 months ago it wouldn’t start. Since I have replace the starter , alternator , battery and battery cable. In individual events of warning lights or failing to start. Today the charging systems warning light and fcw light flashed while driving. The electrical system in this car is a known problem. It MUST be recalled. The 4cl has now time to recall the v-6 for torque and parasitic battery drain . This is potential for fire , car sudden loss of power it’s negligent to not recall . I have invoice after invoice but the problem persists . Why are you only recalling the 4L engine ? There is a class action about battery drain but only for 4 L? I know the didnt produce many accord V6 but the V6 is used in the Acura and I believe the Odysse. I have called and called Honda . I emailed the head of Honda in Japan . He sent my email back to the dealer. This is my 4th Honda. We were an entire Honda family but not any more . Safety is not first .My accord problems will result in a terrible accident . I Was driving my vehicle on, standing on the Expressway heading east. The roads were snow and sleek. Out of nowhere. My vehicle start to lose power. And suddenly stopped. I was stuck in the middle of the highway, very scared and feared for my life and I feared for the other peoples lives and their vehicles and hoping no collision occurs. Luckily. I was able to avoid the collision. And a tow truck came to tow my car to the Honda dealership. I had a recall for the drive shaft. A corroded drive shaft broke on which the vehicle was unmovable. My vehicle also roll away when I shifted to parked and I had to set the parking brake. This almost cost me the risk of a crash or injury without prior warning. And the Honda dealership did not correct the problem. I had to tow The vehicle To my mechanic shop and the next following day my mechanic expected that my drive shaft was not good. Mechanic had to order The drive actual shaft And get it replaced and fixed.

Warning lights on dash (ABS, Brake, Steering, FCW, LDW, Slip/traction control) all came on at the same time, every time I started the car. Brought to Holler Honda Winter Park, FL and they diagnosed as having faulty VSA modulator-control unit. Part has not been available for over 2 years and don't know when will be available. Dangerous, but told fine to drive car just not to jam on brakes! Doesn't sound safe to me. NO stability control! Miraculously found Honda part at Honda dealer in NJ by searching online after Holler gave me part number. Paid over $900 to buy part/shipping. Brought to Holler to fix. Within 2 weeks had 2 VERY close calls where drivers cut right in front of me almost causing collision and causing me to have to jam on my brakes. BUT...FCW and ABS didn't work. FCW never alerted me to possible collision (used to work perfectly for over 7 years I've had the car) and ABS did not work (brakes locked up and I skidded but miraculously stopped in time). Brought back to Holler Honda and they plugged it in to computer and 1st told me that I had turned off the FCW (I wouldn't know how to do this even if it were possible), then when they could not show me how to turn it back on (because I don't have the ability to turn it off) they told me I must not have FCW (I do) and that the ABS was working just fine (it's not). After speaking with HONDA NA and sharing the info with them, they told me that I did in fact have FCW and that no one could find anything wrong with the car. I think I bought a bad "new" VSA mod. but since Honda refuses to issue a recall when I told them about the problem, I will never know and now can't do anything about it. I know I'm not the only one driving around with a potentially dangerous car because this repair cannot be done and there is an "indefinite, nation-wide waiting list" on the part (due to supply issues). Spent over $1400 to basically have all the warning lights turned off and the car NOT repaired.

I was coming out of a turn on a local street, going very slow. My vehicle ended up crossing the two lane road and hit a telephone pole. The pole did not fall down. Thankfully, neither myself nor my front passenger were seriously injured. We had on seat belts and the air bags DID NOT deploy. There was no warning of a crash in terms of instruments or trouble with handling. The vehicle motor was shut off because I tried to cut the motor after impact and it was already stalled.The vehicle was declared a total loss. No one to my knowledge did any safety inspections. I have since learned that the crash may be a result of some known defects in the model. I have never received any recall notices in the years of owning the car. I purchased as certified pre-owned in 2018. This is a courtesy notice to help others.

While driving my FCW lights came and said failure. I took my car to an independent service center and they confirmed that many Hondas with the same year have had this same problem. Told me that he wouldn't even be able to repair because the part needed to fix the light from coming on was unavailable all across the world. So many Hondas have had this same issue and needed to repair this issue that it's unavailable. I had the car less than one year after I bought it used with less than 95,000 miles. I've owned 5 other Honda accords that would go forever and have 200,000+ miles without any issues. I've already had to place my alternator 5 times and starter as well.

FOR THE PAST FEW MONTHS MY CAR HAS BEEN HAVING TROUBLE TURNING ON. I HAVE HAD TO CALL GEICO FOR A JUMP START ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS ALREADY. SOMETIMES WHEN I PRESS THE POWER BUTTON, IT STRUGGLES TO TURN ON AND I HAVE TO TRY MULTIPLE TIMES. OTHER TIMES IT WON'T TURN ON UNLESS I USE THE REMOTE START OPTION WITH MY KEY. THE CAR HAS NEVER TURNED OFF ON MY WHILE I AM DRIVING, BUT A FEW TIMES WHILE I AM DRIVING, THE DISPLAY RESTARTS AND IT STARTLES ME BECAUSE IT GOES COMPLETELY BLANK AS IF THE CAR IS GOING TO SHUT OFF.

I TOOK MY CAR FOR A BATTERY RECALL. THE DEALER CORRECTED THE BATTERY RECALL BUT I NOTICED SOME ISSUES. MY CAR SOMETIMES EXPERIENCES HARD START AND THEN I WILL GET MULTIPLE ALERTS - ENGINE LIGHT, CHECK STEERING LIGHT, TRACTION LIGHT AND TIRE PRESSURE LOW LIGHT ON. I CHECKED THE INTERNET AND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS HAVE BEEN POSTED WITH SIMILAR ISSUE AND SYMPTOMS.

TOWARDS THE END OF 2017, I HAD MY HONDA ACCORD SERVICE AS A RESULT OF THE BATTERY DEFECT RECALL. AFTER SUCH REPAIR, MY VEHICLE STALLED ON A BUSY HIGHWAY BACK IN FEBRUARY 2018. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW AND IT HAD APPROXIMATELY 45,000 MILES THE HONDA DEALER STATED IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR AND CHARGED ME TO REPAIR IT . HOWEVER, ON 4/1/18 THE CAR STALLED ONCE AGAIN AND I THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START. I HAVE RESEARCHED THIS ISSUE AND IT APPEARS THE TOO MANY 2015 HONDA ACCORDS ARE HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM FOLLOWING THE BATTERY DEFECT RECALL. THIS IS A SAFETY RISK, SINCE THE VEHICLE LOSES ALL POWER LEAVING ONE VULNERABLE TO BING HIT BY OTHER VEHICLES WHEN THE CAR STALLS. MY CAR PANEL/ SYSTEM DOES NOT GIVE ANY WARNING PRIOR TO SHUTTING DOWN ALL POWER WHILE THE CAR IS ON MOTION. ONCE THE CAR STALLS, ONE CAN NOT TURN THE ENGINE BACK ON. I TRULY BELIEVE THAT THIS HAS TO BE INVESTIGATED BEFORE SOME ONE IS KILLED AS A RESULT THAT F THIS DEFECT ON THE HONDA ACCORD.

THE TRUNK ON MY CAR AUTOMATICALLY OPENS SO I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND CLOSE THE TRUNK. THEN I HAVE TO PULL OVER AND SHUT THE TRUNK OR THE TRUNK LID WILL OPEN FULLY AND BLOCK MY VISIBILITY OUT OF MY REAR WINDOW. THE VEHICLE IS IN MOTION AND ON A CITY STREET WHEN THIS HAPPENS. WHEN MAKING A LANE CHANGE AT A SPEED OF ~60MPH ON THE HIGHWAY. THE CAR LOST CONTROL AND JERKED TOWARDS THE LEFT. IT ZIGZAGGED BETWEEN THE LEFT AND MIDDLE LANE AND HIT ANOTHER VEHICLE TWICE. ALSO WHEN GOING DOWN HILL AND IF THE ROAD RISES SHARPLY, YOU CANNOT SEE VERY FAR AHEAD, I ALMOST HIT SOMEONE CROSSING A STREET BECAUSE OF THIS. ALSO, THE HEATER/AC CONTROLS ARE NEEDLESSLY COMPLICATED, AS ARE THE RADIO CONTROLS. WHERE ONE KNOB COULD CONTROL THE ON/OFF AND FAN SPEED, THIS CAR HAS THREE SEPARATE SMALL BUTTONS WHERE YOU MUST TAKE YOURS EYES OFF THE ROAD TO FIND. THE SAME APPLIES TO CHANGING THE TEMPERATURE; THERE ARE TWO UP/DOWN SEPARATE BUTTONS, WHERE ONE SIMPLE KNOB WOULD WORK. THE RADIO, TOO HAS TOO MANY NEEDLESS BUTTONS TO PUSH. IF TEXTING IS DANGEROUS WHILE DRIVING, THEY HAVE MADE THIS CAR DANGEROUS TO CHANGE ALMOST ANY CONTROL. THERE SHOULD BE THE RULE THAT CONTROLS BE KEPT AS SIMPLE AS POSSIBLE. I UNDERSTAND THAT THE LEXUS EVEN HAS A SEPARATE MOUSE YOU MUST USE TO CHANGE SETTINGS! IT HAS GOTTEN OUT OF CONTROL.

I TOOK IT BACK AND CONTINUED DRIVING IT THINKING THAT PERHAPS I DID SOMETHING THAT CAUSED IT.AS I CONTINUED ON WITH IT, I PULLED INTO MY HANDICAP SPACE AT MY PARKING LOT. FRONT END UP TO A CONCRETE BUNKER WITH THE HANDICAP SIGN STANDING TALL IN FRONT. FOR A WEEK THE LIGHTS ON THE DASHBOARD SHOWED THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE ABS BRAKES & TRACTION DEVICE FLASHING AND SO WE TOOK IT IN TO HONDA TO HAVE THEM FIND OUT WHY. THE FIRST TIME IT WAS A SUNDAY AFTERNOON (MAY 31TH) AND THE FELLOW SAID IT WAS A COMPUTER GLITZ AND HE RESET THE COMPUTER. IN LESS THAN 1 DAY THE LIGHTS APPEARED AGAIN, SO WE MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR THAT WEDNESDAY JUNE 3RD TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT; WHEN WE GOT THERE THEY SAID IT WOULD TAKE 2-3 HOURS TO CHECK ALL THE CODES, ETC. WE WERE NOT TOLD THIS WHEN WE MADE THE APPOINTMENT, SO WE DID NOT HAVE THE TIME THAT DAY. WE ASKED THE MAN THAT TALKED TO US (IT WAS MIKE OR DOUG) WOULD IT BE DANGEROUS TO DRIVE IT AND HE SAID "NO." ....JUST COMPUTER PROBLEMS. SO THE VERY NEXT DAY AS I WAS DRIVING TO WORK IN MY ONLY 4 MONTH OLD CAR AND WAS ON THIS 2 LANE ROAD THAT IS BY ALL INFO CAN BE DANGEROUS. I WAS IN A STRAIGHT WAY (WHICH IS A BLESSING) AND PRESSED ON THE BRAKE TO SLOW DOWN THE CAR AND IT PULLED TO THE RIGHT AND THE CAR SLAMMED AGAINST A 2 FOOT ASFAULT CURB CAUSING THE FRONT RIGHT TIRE TO BLOW AND SENDING MY CAR INTO ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THANK THE LORD NO CARS WERE COMING, BUT I HAD A HORRIBLE TIME STOPPING THE CAR AND BRINGING IT INTO A RIGHT LANE. THEN I HAD TO DRIVE ABOUT 1/2 MILE TO WHERE I COULD PULL OVER SAFELY (I WAS DRIVING ON THE RIM). WE KNEW RIGHT AWAY THAT SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR, AND TOLD THIS TO OUR INSURANCE WHEN WE CALLED IN THE CLAIM. THE LIGHTS WERE STILL FLASHING AFTER IT WAS REPAIRED! THE AUTO BODY MAN THEN TOOK THE CAR TO HONDA TO HAVE IT CHECKED, AND THEY FOUND OUT THAT THE WHEEL-BARING ON THE WHEEL WAS PUT IN BACKWARDS!! THIS CAUSED THE BRAKES TO FAIL! THEY MADE ME TAKE BACK THE SAME CAR WITH NO OTHER CHOICE (IT IS A LEASE). I JUST WANTED A NEW CAR THAT I WAS NOT CONCERNED TO DRIVE.
