Both low beam headlights burn out at the "same time". This has happened twice in 1 year. I have not had any inspections done yet. If this happens at night or in a tunnel it could be life threatening. Purchased used from a friend who has taken care of the vehicle. I have not checked with him to see if he ever had it happen due to he is no longer living here. First time I just replaced both bulbs and they worked fine. Now about 8 months later same problem. No moisture visible. High beams work but only when switch is in automatic mode. I will replace again, nothing else I can do at the moment.

Static coming through the speakers at loud volume unable to turn off even when radio is off

The contact owns a 2016 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the battery warning light and other unknown warning lights temporarily illuminated, and the vehicle almost shut off. The contact stated that the failure had recurred while driving on two other occasions. Additionally, the contact stated that upon coming to a complete stop, the vehicle shut off. The contact stated that upon jumpstarting the vehicle, the vehicle shut off again after disconnecting the jumper cables. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The contact stated that upon turning off the vehicle and removing the key from the ignition, the instrument cluster lights flickered for an extended period. The contact ordered an alternator from Amazon and replaced the alternator; however, the failure persisted. The contact's husband purchased the alternator from Auto Zone and replaced the alternator, and the vehicle operated as intended temporarily. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V418000 (Electrical System), which the contact related to the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 193,986.

Stereo/speaker system has a very loud static noise every time I drive the car. It happens the most when the car has been sitting in the sun. The static sound is so unbearable while I’m driving. I have to pull over to shut the car off. I turn the audio button off on the stereo but the speakers still have the loud static noise.

The stereo amplifier emits a god awful, deafening static noise soon after start my car, so I can't listen to the radio, hear or talk to anyone. This has been going on for months and hasn't let up. It's very expensive for the honda dealer to fix, that I cannot afford right now, because they have to install a near stereo unit. Right now, I drive around with ear plugs and this should be considered a safety issue because I can't hear while the ear piercing static noise is on at the highest volume (there's no way to turn it down...even with the stereo off). I've owned lots of older model cars and none have ever had this issue with the stereo amplifier, so I feel this is a manufacturing defect for it to fail after 10 years. I've researched this issue online and I'm not the only one complaining about this for the 2016 Honda accord.

Deafening static was coming from all the speakers in the car. I turned the radio/navigation system off and there was still static coming from the speakers. This happens after the car is warmed up and it is not drivable.

The vehicle has recently developed a loud and painful static noise through the speakers, which occurs intermittently and unpredictably, even when the radio and audio system are turned off. This issue has now become so severe that it is unsafe to drive the car. The static bursts are extremely loud, startling, and physically painful, creating a serious distraction hazard while driving. I am deeply concerned that this constitutes a safety defect in the vehicle’s electrical/audio system, not a routine maintenance issue. The vehicle has approximately 70,476 miles, and a full history of regular maintenance. Yesterday, (10/17/2025), I took my vehicle to the dealer for diagnosis. While the issue was not initially present, it began again within minutes of leaving the service department, prompting me to return immediately so the technician could hear it. The dealership completed a diagnostic assessment (cost: $217) and determined that the OEM radio head unit has failed and must be replaced. The service advisor further explained that: - The defective audio unit cannot be safely disconnected or its fuse removed because doing so would affect the braking system. - The replacement part is on national backorder with no estimated availability date. - The repair would cost $1,211.80, which I am being asked to pay out of pocket despite this being a factory component failure. - No loaner vehicle is available, leaving me without safe transportation. Since leaving the dealership, the issue has continued repeatedly. The vehicle remains unsafe to operate under these conditions. Through my research, I have learned that this is a widely reported problem among 2016–2017 Honda Accord owners. There are numerous documented complaints on owner forums (including DriveAccord.net) and on CarComplaints.com describing identical symptoms, loud static or “white noise” from the speakers, occurring even when the radio is off, often linked to failure of the infotainment head unit or amplifier.

The stereo randomly starts making very loud popping and static noise so loud it sets off the sound warning on my watch. Even with the stereo off it still does. You can’t stop it and you can’t hear anything around you. Very unsafe.

I left work on an unusually hot day, and several minutes into my trip, a deafening static noise began emanating from the dashboard area. I was frantically hitting all the radio and air buttons while driving, but I could not stop the noise, so I pulled over on the side of the road. The noise stopped after I turned off the car. I inspected the battery connections and the grounding cable, but found no obvious culprit. The noise resumed when I began driving again, but did not happen the next morning. The deafening static was unpredictable and unresolvable over the next few weeks, and it was so loud at times that my noise canceling headphones did not prevent pain in my ears. It happened on intermittent occasions, in all instances while I was driving on busy roads or interstates, and several times leaving me and my child stranded in unsafe conditions while waiting on help. I finally discovered through forum chats and online videos that this is a common occurrence with my specific car; that the source of the problem is a known faulty amp that overheats and causes interference; and importantly, that the problem occurs only when the outside temperature is excessively hot. Due to the specific conditions required to trigger the interference, the static noise is impossible to replicate on command, rendering troubleshooting efforts prohibitively costly and unlikely to bear fruit. My radio is throwing static. You can turn it off, turn the volume to 0, nothing helps. It only gets louder, and from my understanding this has happened too 100+ people. They have the same make/ model/ year as mine and they are all experiencing the same problem with no solution. I feel not only my safety, but other peoples safety are put at risk. This is a severe distraction from the road, that is something that would result in a wreck because of the sound. Lots of dealerships say the vehicles experiencing this problem need a whole entire head unit, or new radio. That’s $5,000, and more. It’s ridiculous that we are all experiencing the same problem and all having the same trouble and nothing is being done about the issue. With almost 100+ people having the same exact problem, there should have been a recall a long time ago. This is absolutely dangerous for drivers, children, and passengers of the vehicle. I ask that something be done about this immediately. I am afraid to drive my own car places because of this issue. It needs to be resolved asap. This is no longer a “us” problem. This issue has everything to do with the manufacturing of the vehicle.

As soon as I turn on the car there is unbearably loud static and cracking noise coming from out of the car speakers even though the car audio system is turned off. I am not sure what or why the sound is coming by itself. I repeat, the car audio system is turned off and yet there is a constant loud non stop static and cracking noise coming from all of the speakers.

When the car reaches operating temperature slowly a static noise will creep over the speakers and then quickly cut out the audio input and put the speakers to full volume with waves of loud static. Turning off the stereo and turning down the volume does nothing to stop the static. The only way to stop it is to pull the radio fuse. This will also happen on a hot day and not slowly build just suddenly loud static as soon as the car turns on. This is a safety risk because the sound is so loud and distracting it’s hard to focus on everything going on around you and in order to pull the fuse out to stop it you need to pull over and it’s not always in a safe location. When I called and asked the Honda dealership in Stockton CA about it they were familiar with the problem when I described it to them but it has not been replicated in my car specifically by a separate party. No inspection was performed by police or other. There were no lights or warning when it first occurred. The problem first occurred in June when the weather started to get hot. I tried installing the fuse again now that it’s cold and it happened again once the car got to operating temperature.

On our 2016 Accord with the 3.5 V6 there is a design issue with the starter assembly. This issue is also happening with other models with this engine configuration manufactured between 2013 through 2017. The starter on my vehicle won’t engage the flywheel gears fully causing damage to the flywheel and the starter. There is a Honda service bulletin ( 16-002) calling to replace the starter and rotate the torque converter clockwise one bolt hole position. This can only be done ONE TIME so if it happens again( and it probably will)the torque converter will need to be replaced which is a minimum of $4,000 and even that won’t guarantee it won’t repeat this issue. This is a safety issue because there is a possibility that you could be stranded and vulnerable to hazards on the road .

When driving, occasionally, there is a strong buildup of static coming off the speakers, the problem persists for a long time and seems to calm down if the Radio is turned to full volume. It happens at random after driving for a few minutes, if the A/C is on it can get worse, I think it could be a faulty wiring issue from wear and tear or a frequency change that everyone with a 16’ Accord has as i’ve seen on videos.

When driving the 2016 honda accord ex-l, after driven for around 10-20 minutes, a static starts playing on the speaker starting small and gets progessively louder (even when the audio system is turned off, if audio system is on and volume is adjusted, it gets even worse) until you cannot hear anything else other than the loud static. You cannot hear anything said in the car by your fellow passengers, kids get scared with the loud noise. The only thing that works is a restart of the engine which can only be done by pulling over to a shoulder or another unsafe area of the road putting everyone in the car and other nearby cars at dangerous risk. The static noise is so loud, it completely takes over all of your driver senses and you'll be like a deer staring into headlights unable to do anything. In a recent incident, we (family including kid) were going in the left-most lane of a CA freeway when this started and in the ensuing 2 minutes I had to move over 3 lanes into the number 1 lane and stop at an unsafe curb near an exit in the evening and restart the car and go back home. This is traumatic everytime it happens and we have to plan for it. There are several people with the same issue complaining on social media (reddit/youtube) and they have evidence for the same in video format. 500+ posts and going [XXX] . Upon calling my usual service center, they did mention they saw similar problem recently, but it is not part of a recall and quoted me 250$ for diganosis and upwards of 1900$ for replacing the audio unit. My audio unit worked fine for 10 years, and I do no think this is an individual issue but a widespread one that triggers in this specific model of the vehicle. The contact owns a 2016 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 MPH, the vehicle lost automotive power. The vehicle failed to accelerate with the check engine warning light was flashing off and on. After turning off and restarting the vehicle the check engine warning light was flashing and remained with the traction control warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was later towed to the local dealer who diagnosed that the engine had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was contacted but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 80,000.

My 2016 Honda Accord has approximately 137,000 miles. I change the oil, filters, etc. at regular intervals. One night I noticed a ticking when going uphill. I thought it might be a belt.(no warning lights) The next day I had to go somewhere, and on my way back the ticking got noticeably worse and then the engine started screeching. Massive loss of power. Shortly after, a loud bang/thump noise and the car stopped running. I pulled into a school parking lot, got the car towed. Next day the mechanic where the car was towed said I threw a rod, and it went through the engine block and the oil pan; and my engine would have to be replaced. I have not (yet) replaced the engine (waiting for estimate). Spoke to Honda corporate (case #XXXX) to see if they could help me out (financially) with the replacement, because everyone I talked to said it's highly unusual for a Honda to throw a rod with mileage this low (anecdotal I know, but still). I spoke to local Honda dealer (Honda corporate said it would have to be inspected by Honda) but have not had it towed there yet. I was driving in the city at a speed of thirty mph when my wife, a passenger in the car, and myself, heard a loud pop. Suddenly I was unable to see the traffic which was following me because my rear window was completely shattered. Since I had traffic behind me and it was raining hard, I decided to drive a few more blocks to seek refuge and help at a nearby Car dealership, which specializes in glass repair. There they taped and covered the rear window opening in plastic after removing the shattered windshield and vacuuming up the many glass pieces which fell into the car. I have had to contact my insurance company, as both Honda Corporation and the warranty I have remaining on the vehicle will not cover the repair. This I was told by by the Honda dealer where I purchased the vehicle.

While driving the moonroof "exploded"... basically it shattered and the pieces of glass flew off across the rod and the trunk (left scratches all over. Weather was partly cloudy but dry. Dash cam doesn't show any rocks or debris thrown up.

THE BACKUP CAMERA HAS STOPPED WORKING. FOR A FEW WEEKS IT WOULD INTERMITTENTLY TURN WORK, AND NOW IT HAS STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE, THE SCREEN DASH IS BLACK WITH THE OVERLAY IMAGE OF LINES SHOWING DISTANCES STILL APPEARING BUT NO CAMERA IMAGE. IT IS BEING REPORTED ON THE INTERNET THAT IT IS BELIEVED THIS IS DUE TO THE CAMERA HOUSING ALLOWING CONDENSATION AND MOISTURE GETTING IN CAUSING A SHORT. THE SYSTEM APPEARS LIKE IT IS TRYING TO SHOW THE CAMERA IMAGE, BUT IT IS NOT GETTING A SIGNAL LIKE IT HAS SHORTED OUT.

FRONT WINDSHIELD HAS WHAT LOOK LIKE HARD WATER SPOTS AND IN THE SUNLIGHT YOU CANNOT HARDLY SEE OUT. THE DEALER HAS SAID THEY ACID CLEANED THIS AND SOME OF IT WAS REMOVED. NOW IT HAS RETURNED MAKING DRIVING INTO THE SUN IMPOSSIBLE. CAR IS ALWAYS IN GARAGE AND IT DOES NOT RAIN IN ALBUQUERQUE SO IT IS SOME KIND OF DEFECT IN THE WINDSHIELD GLASS. I WILL ASK THE IT BE REPLACED THIS TRIP TO DEALER AS ONLY 9500 MILES.

We were driving our 2016 Honda Accord LX down the highway and our vehicle started sputtering, causing us to swerve and gain control/slow down rapidly. The car could no longer accelerate to high speeds (could only go about 35 MPH), and a bunch of engine lights came on the dash. Upon taking it to a Honda dealer, they diagnosed the problem with the high-pressure fuel pump. Apparently our year of Honda Accord (2013-2017 models with 2.4L engine) had a recall on the fuel pump system, but that recall was associated with the fuel pump impeller. This existing recall number is 34V-858, MFR Campaign ID VIJ. It does seem odd that I would face a similar issue to this recall, but this high-pressure fuel pump failure is not covered under the same recall program according to Honda. I did submit for potential reimbursement under this recall, but Honda denied our claim. Could this issue be related to the same issue and therefore should this be part of that recall? This was a dangerous incident that happened going at high speeds on the highway, and we were simply lucky that our swerving didn't lead to an accident. Given that a more recent recall from Honda (2023-2024 Honda Accord) is associated specifically with the high-pressure fuel pump failure (Recall # 24V-763), I think it's reasonable that this same issue could apply to older models of the Accord as well.

MY FUEL PUMP HAD PROBLEMS. THE AUTO MECHANIC HAD TO REPLACE THE NEW ONE. MY CAR HAD STALL SOMETIMES AND THE MECHANIC CHECKED IT WAS FUEL PUMP DEFECTED.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY WHEN ALL OF THE SUDDEN MY VEHICLE STARTED STALLING, THEN IT SIMPLY LOST ALL FORCE AND WOULD NOT GO. I HAD TO GET THE VEHICLE TOWED AND UPON INSPECTION IT RESULTED WITH A DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP THAT NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. THE VENICE IS NOT THAT OLD TO HAVE THAT KIND OF ISSUE, AND A CO-WORKER OF MINE HAD THE SAME ISSUE WITH THEIR VEHICLE WHICH IS ALSO A 2016 HONDA ACCORD. I DID SOME RESEARCH IN SOME FORUMS AND IT SEEMED THAT MANY PEOPLE WERE REPORTING SIMILAR ISSUES WITH THE FUEL PUMP WITH MODELS BETWEEN 2015 THROUGH 2019.

AFTER I DID SOME RESEARCH I BELIEVE THE FUEL PUMP OF THIS VEHICLE CONSTANTLY FAILED. THE VEHICLE TAKES MUCH LONGER TO START UP, SOMETIMES IT TAKE COUPLE OF TRY TO GET IT STARTED, AND, IT ALSO CAUSED ENGINE TO STALL AND LOSE POWER DURING THE DRIVE OR BACKING UP.

Driving about 40 mph on a city street with moderate traffic, and the car started to drift uncontrollably, as if sliding on ice. I felt no control with the steering wheel. It lasted about 20-30 seconds. No warning lights came on. I pulled into a service station, and checked the tire pressure and it was normal. Continued on my way and no other problems. I have not taken the car into the shop for any inspection as of yet. I felt that I was at extreme safety risk with the car drifting uncontrollably, had it veered into other lanes of traffic.

The car drifts to the left and to the right after a few seconds. It has been aligned with all 4 tires balanced and rotated twice but the car will drift within a few seconds. The dealership wants to blame road crown for this and nothing with the steering of the car.

WHEN I PUT THE CAR IN REVERSE AND START BACKING UP, THE STEERING WHEEL LOCKS UP AND IT'S LIKE THE CAR KILLS AND TURNS ON AGAIN WHILE STILL IN MOTION. THE DAY BEFORE THIS HAPPENED MY WINDOW WAS GOING UP AND DOWN ON ITS OWN AND MY CAR DIDN'T WANT TO LOCK AND UNLOCK WITH THE REMOTE.

THE 2016 HONDA ACCORD PURCHASED BRAND NEW BY MY MOM HAD THE STEERING FAIL WITHIN TWO MONTHS OF PURCHASE AND WAS TOWED TO DEALER. IN SEPTEMBER OF 2019 THE STEERING FAILED AGAIN. THE EXTENDED WARRANTY COMPANY APPROVED NON HONDA PARTS PER THE HONDA DEALER. MOM PICKED UP DROVE TO THE BANK AND IT FAILED AGAIN. THEY PUT HONDA PARTS IN AND IT FAILED YESTERDAY BUT ONCE TURNED OFF AND ON THE STEERING RESET. THE DEALER SAID NOTHING WAS WRONG BUT REGARDLESS IT HAPPENED AGAIN. THE DEALER SAID THE COMPUTER SHOWED NOTHING WRONG SO THEY RELEASED THE CAR. WE HAVE DOCUMENTATION ON ALL OF THIS.

Transmission failed after less than 24 hours of “symptoms.” Car started shuddering around 3:45 pm on a Thursday and by 8:30 am on Friday the transmission has totally failed. This put my safety at risk because I had no prior indications of a problem and suddenly, while driving the car, was unable to accelerate without the car shaking and shuddering making it impossible for me to keep up with the speed of traffic and nearly be hit multiple times. The car is currently at the dealership awaiting a second opinion and confirmation by dealership.

Failed transmission that requires replacement with merely 62k mileage

I'm having another CVT issue this is the second time. The first time was 2 /12 of 20 with a mileage of 15,861 the transmission was slipping around the speed of 52 to 60 mph the dealership did a software update and it seemed to help the situation on the high end speed. More recently the car was back at the dealership once again on 11/23 of 22 with the mileage of 37,854. The tech felt the hesitation an the jerking motion but no codes were found the check engine light is not on. He drained the transmission fluid checking for debris and didn't find any, he performed an ecm/pcm reset, Idle learn, throttle body learn, with no change in condition. He States maybe showing signs of early transmission issue. The service manager is aware of the situation as well but he told me they don't service the Transmissions they just remove and replace them and the cost would be around $6,000 very unacceptable for a car that has 40,000 miles on it. I've tried reaching out to the service manager several times but it it just goes to a voicemail that says text him or email him and I've done both and have not heard any response back and that's been over a month ago. The warning lamp has never been on but the condition with the CVT transmission of hesitating and jerking is still on going it happens more when the car is warm then when the car is cold. The vehicle is available for inspection at any time and I wish they would look at it and figure it out rather than just say it might possibly be an internal transmission issue. The hesitation and jerking motion is definitely a safety issue with me especially at busy intersections when you go to take off it hesitates and wants to fall on its face you just hope and pray that after the hesitation it's going to pick up and continue on and not strand you in the middle of an intersection. It is my daily driver and it happens every time when I get in this vehicle. Thanks for your attention in this matter for the safety of myself and others.

The contact owns a 2016 Honda Accord. The contact stated upon parking the vehicle, the dashboard lights were turned off. Additionally, the contact attempted to shift into drive(D) but the gear shifter remained seized in the park(P). The contact turned off the vehicle and attempted to drive; however, the failure reoccurred. The vehicle was towed to the dealer however, the mechanic was not able to duplicate the failure. The dealer later informed the contact that the fuse box underneath the dashboard needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 50,100.

The ABS is malfunctioning. It comes in and off. When the warning lights are on the Abs system is not working. It pops off which means it is working at that time.

I recently came up with 121-11 is a VSA/ABS Solenoid issue. This was provided by Honda Technician. Dealer wants me to change the whole module causing a cost over $3,000. Yet, Honda does not offer any repairs of the solenoid. Honda's are particularly prone to this type of fault. While we do our part and maintain the car with great care, it is unacceptable and unsafe that Honda will not be addressing this.

The dashboard has four warning lights on : 1- Electronic power steering 2-ABS Anti lock brakes 3-Brake system 4-Vehicle stability assist I have taken the vehicle to 2 service centers and they both confirmed the problem is common among Honda cars dated between 2013-2017. They ran a diagnostic test confirming ABS module failure. Although the car is drivable they recommended I get the problem fixed, at my cost of $2800 for parts and labor. I called Honda corporate and they stated there are no recalls or extended warranties for the issue. If its is a common problem in their cars, they should fix it themselves at no cost to the consumer.

Hello, I have a 2016 Honda Accord EX-L which has roughly 105,000 miles. All of my brake lights, VSA, Traction control, and tpms lights came on. I went to get the vehicle diagnosed and the issue was with a faulty VSA modulator. This is a very expensive part and a feature in a vehicle that should not be faulty. I have already repaired this issue but I just find it ridiculous that something so standard has arised, and has cost me over $2,000 to fix. Can you please report honda and look into this. I know I"ve done the work but I feel like reimbursement should happen.

I have brought the vehicle to the dealer as well as several auto body specialists. The paint is bubbling and peeling on the driver's side door, around the gas cap and on the frame around the trunk. Several online reports have been posted online and several other models from Honda have had extended recalls on their paint warranty. The same extension should be applied to the Honda Accord and Honda should be responsible for taking corrective actions as further failure of the paint to adhere will cause significant body damage, especially for owners like me who live in an area who use salt to treat their roads.

AT THE TIME OF THIS EVENT THERE WAS 16,552 MILES ON THE CAR. THE ONLY MAINTENANCE DONE WAS AN OIL CHANGE, AND OUTSIDE OF THE TMP LIGHT, NO INDICATOR LIGHTS HAD COME ON TO PROMPT ME FOR ADDITIONAL MAINTENANCE OR REPAIR. THE ISSUE STARTED WHEN I WAS BARELY OVER 42,000 MILES, MAYBE 7 MONTHS AGO IN OCTOBER OF 2019. THE CAR WOULD STALL AFTER IT WAS PARKED FOR A LITTLE OVER 5 MINUTES. I REPLACED THE BATTERY ON IT AND EVERYTHING WORKED FINE FOR ANOTHER COUPLE OF DAYS. THEN, IT STALLED AGAIN. I TOOK IT TO THE HONDA SERVICE CENTER AND THEY WERE NOT ABLE TO FIND A DEFECT ON THE CAR. I DECIDED TO TAKE IT RUN A DIAGNOSTICS THROUGH A THIRD PARTY AFTER TWO DAYS AGO, IT STALLED AS I WAS DRIVING HOME. THE DIAGNOSTICS SAID MY CAR HAS A DEFECTIVE FUEL PUMP. WHAT IS REALLY IRRESPONSIBLE ON HONDA'S PART IS THE FACT THAT I TAKE IT EVERY TIME AND I HAVE ASKED THEM TO RUN THIS DIAGNOSTICS AND THEY HAVE NOT DONE SO.

I am reporting an ongoing issue with my 2016 Honda Accord Touring V6 caused by a misdiagnosis at Honda of the Avenues in Jacksonville, FL. In December 2024, they diagnosed my oil leak as a valve cover gasket issue and charged me for the repair, but the leak never stopped. I returned multiple times and was told “everything is fine,” even though oil was clearly visible. Because the real issue was never fixed, oil eventually dripped onto my alternator and caused it to fail while I was driving on the highway. My car stalled in traffic, creating a dangerous situation. I had to replace the alternator at Lucas Honda out of pocket. As of November 2025, the leak continues, and I discovered the true source is the top front solenoid, not the valve cover gasket they insisted on. This misdiagnosis, continued leak, I hear other people on facebook Honda Accord 9 generation that are having similar Issues with Oil Leaks and Honda Refuses to acknowledge theses issues.

The ADAS features of my vehicle have been intermittently functional due to a single camera component failing. This has cause unpredictable braking behavior when the car is driven, as the car's emergency braking function abruptly slow the vehicle on some occasions, but not brake the vehicle on other outings. Additionally, the component failure has caused several dependent MILs to illuminate most times the vehicle is driven, usurping other important MIL notifications such as unrelated component failures and maintenance alerts. The ADAS MIL alerts were not present before the component failure. These issues first started 15 months ago, but I've been informed that the necessary replacement component (multipurpose camera) has been backordered the entire time.

EACH TIME THERE WERE NO OTHER VEHICLES OR OBSTACLES NEAR THE CAR. I PLAN TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE DEALER THIS WEEK. LKAS WAS PART OF THE PACKAGE INCLUDED ON THIS PARTICULAR ACCORD EX-L sensing Model, When started in the early morning all safety lights turned on. The car just have a 66,731 miles on it.The car has never been on an a accident nor have any damage on the windshield or the front of the car. Immediately took it to the dealer close to me on June 28, 2022 they told me it was not covered by the warranty, I was charged for diagnostics $180 and for repairs was going to cost me $1,698.36 at the time Iwas on the impression it was under extended warranty paid in advance until 100K miles. I paid for safety features that broke on their own due to manufacturing failure issues.

Please note the ABS module is defective and it is a safety risk. The vehicle stability the ABS, VSA, light is on dashboard. The ABS module computer electrical system is the heart of the braking system of the car. There needs to be a recall on this as soon as possible, which which puts everyone at risk

In 2021, Its been told my starter is beginning to fail. Takes multiple attempts to start car. Does not happen every start up, and seem to not happen when taken in for diagnosis. Mechanic says until it does it everyday don't worry about. Its becoming more frequent, and now the car runs loud and hard. Had a previous issue and had both catalyst converters, and since then its been problem after problem.

Inoperable backup camera causing Rear Cross Traffic Warning and Parking Collision warning malfunction - due to a camera plastic mounting tab breakage issue. This puts the safety of other cars or people behind the vehicle at risk when backing up. There were no warnings of the failure - my wife discovered it when reversing one day and had a near miss.I looked at it and the backup camera is no longer in the proper position. The car only has 18K miles on it. I took it to the Honda dealer and their service team tells me one of the camera mounts is broken and it happens all the time. They tell me the Accord backup camera usage is extremely high due to mounting tabs breaking. I spoke with my local Honda garage and they told me they see this issue all the time. I called multiple Honda Dealer Parts Dept's across the country and they all tell me usage is very high and the cameras are on back order. There were four Technical Service Bulletins issued on this 2016 Accord to check for backup camera usage: MC-10187541-0001, MC-10189132-0001, MC-10189839-0001 & MC-10190945-0001 - in February through March 2021. The 2017+ Accords had been recalled by NHSTA for "inoperable" camera software as it was considered a safety issue in the past. Most recently (in 2023) Honda FIT and HR-V models were recalled by the NHSTA related to backup camera issues. The design of the backup camera was also changed as the part number for the replacement does not match the original & yet Honda is not retrofitting the new parts for owners. The Honda part numbers for the camera are as follows: Original in the car: 39530-T2A-A310-M2; First replacement for the original P/N 39530-T2A-A31; Current replacement (February 2023) P/N 39530-T2A-A410-M1 (Sony VCB-H3D8). I had my original backup camera replaced by my Honda dealer - the original part was kept by the dealer to be sent back to Honda of America (per the dealer). I did keep pictures of the old camera as well as the replacement.

2016 Honda Accord - sedan (48,000 miles) is pulling to the right. (Hands Free) at the count of 3, the vehicle is off the road (Scary!). Took to Honda dealer for service. Wheel alignment was done. Expensive Continental tires (2 years olds) were moved from front to the back. I returned to the dealer once I left the service center because it seemed even worse. The Advisor took it for a test drive and said it was because I was on a hill/slope. A few days later, I test drove the car with a friend who said for certain I have a problem. I have an appointment to go back to the Honda service center again. I do not know if this is a alignment problem? or bad tires? There is a Solution to every Problem. Find the Answer.

I feel like I don't have control of my car. 3. The dealers claim nothing is wrong with my car. 4. Yes, it has been inspected by Honda East and Kings Performance Honda and both dealerships claim there is no issue. 5. The issue first appeared over a month ago and there were no warnings, sounds, or messages only a feeling through the steering wheel/column.

HONDA QUALITY PROBLEMS. WE BOUGHT A 2016 HONDA ACCORD IN JANUARY. AFTER FEW MONTHS THE CAR STARTED TO HAVE PROBLEMS. THE CAR LOSES ACCELERATION ALL OF A SUDDEN AND COMES TO A LOW SPEED (0-5 MPH) WITHIN SECONDS. EVERY TIME THIS HAPPENED I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY. I TOOK TO THE DEALER MANY TIMES. FIRST TIME - THE DEALER SAID THAT HE COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR SECOND TIME - AS PER HONDA TECH, THEY DIAGNOSED THAT THE CHIP IN THE COMPUTER IS THE PROBLEM. SO THEY SAID THAT THE SOFTWARE IN THE COMPUTER NEEDED UPGRADE (STRANGE.. IT IS A BRAND NEW CAR. AND WHY IS THIS HAPPENING TO ONLY ONE CAR. IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN THE CASE WITH OTHER CARS PRODUCED AT THE SAME TIME). THIRD TIME - AS PER HONDA TECH, THEY REPLACED THE ACCELERATION KIT AS THEY THOUGHT THAT IS THE PROBLEM. FOURTH TIME - NOW THEY THINK THE WIRING IS THE PROBLEM AND REPLACED THAT. EVERY TIME, I DROVE THAT CAR TRUSTING THEM, I RISKED MY LIFE. I AVOIDED ACCIDENT 8 TIMES ON FREEWAY FROM BEING REAR ENDED. I DROVE INTO THE CENTRAL DITCH ON THE FREEWAY AND INJURED MY SHOULDER. I AM ON MEDICATION FOR THE PAST 1+ MONTH. I AM WORRIED THAT I DRIVE THIS CAR AND AM GOING TO DIE.

2016 Honda Accord EX-L coupe radio display panel went blank, including screen above main panel. There appears to be no power to panel, cameras thus I can not turn on radio, use Map which at times can be critical and all panel features are unavailable due to dead panel. The safety lane changing camera and back up camera do not work. Not sure what caused this. Fuses appear ok.

While traveling in New York City, several warning lights illuminated on the dashboard of my 2016 Honda Accord, including a red light for the brakes. Upon returning home, my local dealer diagnosed the problem and determined that the vehicle stability assist (VSA) module failed and needed to be replaced. I prepaid for the part; however, the dealer advised that the VSA module is on backorder and will not be available until November 5, 2023. I feel that the delay of a critical brake component affects my safety and the safety of other motorists. Therefore, I requests assistance with the immediate repair of the vehicle or alternate transportation until repairs are completed.

ALSO THERE IS APART OF THE ROAD I DRIVE ON EVERYDAY IT CURVES BEFORE CROSSING A BRIDGE FOR SOME UNKNOWN REASON THE SENSORING WILL ACTIVATE AND STEER ME TO ON COMING TRAFFIC. SINCE DAY 1, HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH A NOTICEABLE CLUNKING NOISE WHILE GOING OVER BUMPS.AFTER 4 REPAIR ATTEMPTS AT A HONDA DEALERSHIP THAT LED TO TIGHTENING OF 'LOOSE'(AS PER THE MECHANIC AND PAPERWORK) NUTS AND BOLTS, ADJUSTMENTS OF THE RACK, REPLACEMENT OF BOTH FRONT STRUTS AS WELL AS REPLACEMENT OF THE FRONT STEERING RACK,THE NOISE CONTINUED. DURING THE 5TH REPAIR ATTEMPT AFTER MEETING WITH AN ENGINEER FROM HONDA AS WELL AS THE HONDA CERTIFIED MECHANIC, THE MECHANIC TELLS ME THAT THE SUBFRAME BECAME UNGLUED. THE NEW DESIGN OF THE HONDA SUBFRAME IS NOW GLUED AND NOT WELDED, IN ORDER TO MAKE THE VEHICLE LIGHTER AND MORE FUEL EFFICIENT. I AM TOLD BY A HONDA ENGINEER THAT HONDA TECH LINE IS NOW AWARE OF THIS ISSUE(WHICH TELLS ME THERE HSVE BEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS). EVEN AFTER THE ENTIRE SUBFRAME WAS RECENTLY REPLACED, I CONTINUE TO HAVE FRONT END ISSUES WITH MY BRAND NEW CAR INCLUDING CREAKING AND VIBRATION. I AM CURRENTLY WORKING WITH A LEMON LAW ATTORNEY AND NOW HAVE HAD 5 REPAIR ATTEMPTS ON THIS VEHICLE. THIS SUBFRAME ISSUE CERTAINLY IS A SAFETY MATTER AND FAILURE OF SUCH COULD LEAD TO CATASTROPHIC ACCIDENTS. THIS HAS AND CONTINUES TO BE AN ONGOING PROBLEM. THE 'GLUED' SUBFRAMES IN THESE VEHICLES SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS HONDA IS THEIR TOP OF THE LINE 'TOURING' MODEL WHICH HAS ADDITIONAL SUSPENSION PARTS FOR A SMOOTHER RIDE SUPPOSEDLY. I HAVE ALL OF MY DOCUMENTATION FROM THE DEALERSHIP SHOULD YOU REQUIRE IT.

I was driving and the skid, brake, ABS and steering light came on. I was with my kids so I immediately slowed down and contacted my mechanic. We initially thought it would be a sensor. After hooking it up, it was detected to be the ABS Brake module. After further research this is a “normal” issue. A new module is expensive $2500 with the dealer and is on back order for 3 months. We have shipped the module to CA (I’m in TN) to get it “repaired”. I have been without a car for 3weeks and still waiting. This is insane and should be recalled. I hope the “repair” fixes the issue.

Gear shift ignition and parts of buttons come on and off. Gear shift lights not at all anymore. The entire tire warped from around tire like it been detached from car and fell outward. I’ve had multiple fuel issues two brand new catalytic converters fuel pump and system cleaned put on filters changed and still have issues.

On June 9, 2025, my 2016 Honda Accord’s driver seatbelt detached and yanked my body with excessive force during a collision, it felt like not lifted me up to the roof The seatbelt’s jerking motion was so odd and intense causing serious injuries including a ruptured breast implant, nerve damage, and cervical spine trauma. The airbags failed to deploy despite a front and side impact. Immediately afterward, both seatbelt and airbag warning lights illuminated. The car has been in repair storage (Kia Willowbrook Ford) since June 16, 2025, without explanation or safety findings from Honda. Honda said the seatbelt sensor is backorder but no one can give me an ETA and I need a vehiclethat is safe. The part has been on backorder for close to 5 months!! This is a critical safety failure, and I am requesting federal investigation into possible seatbelt or airbag defects associated with this VIN.,

I have been having issues with my Honda Accord with the electrical system. Over the past couple of years I have had to take my car to get serviced for the battery, alternator and other electrical issues. Several times I had to take my car to get checked because the ABS, power steering, traction control and brake lights intermittently light up at the same time. I was told it was a battery issue but now years later I am being told it is the VSA modulator. I am frustrated because the Honda dealership i have taken it to has failed to identify this issue when it has been repeatedly occurring and now that my warranty is expired now it is being explained that I have to fix this out of my pocket.

Loud, pulsing, static sound from the car speakers. I was driving home after purchasing this car and an impossibly loud static sound came from the speakers even though the audio unit was powered off. I thought I had been hit by a truck and went off the road. There was some damage to the body and the underside of the car, but I was able to drive it back home. I pulled the fuse for the radio thinking that was the problem, but the sound returned, still blasting static from the speakers and now my side cameras and blind spot warnings do not work. This is not just an annoying problem, it is a serious safety issue. Even when I am driving with hearing protection the noise drowns out all other traffic sounds. This static is full volume, measured at 90 DBA on a calibrated Radio Shack 33-2055 sound level meter. I can't drive the car because of the hearing damage, and because of the intermittent nature of the problem, it can surprise you and cause a crash. It is the most distracting thing I have ever had to deal with while driving a car.

ABS system failed and is not working properly. Also the screen in the car for all of my interaction with my car including Bluetooth and any errors involving the car. If my brakes go out in the middle of driving it could cause me and my family to be unable to protect ourselves. I have confirmed the system with 2 different mechanics and both agree there should be a recall. The warning lamps go off and on and are unpredictable.

Went out driving with my family, and next thing I know. I have a check engine light active, after having three diagnostic tests ran my vehicle, it was determined that it was my low pressure fuel pump is going bad. And now being notified that the high pressure fuel pump is needing a replacement. I have noticed there was a recall between the years of 2013-2017 Honda Accords. I have a 2016 with the same problems as the recall. My vehicle just barely broke fifty thousand miles.

ABS Module went out on my vehicle while on the highway. Three lights came on, as shown in attached photo. Vehicle brake system began acting up in the moment. This is a very common issue on 2013-2017 Honda accords from all mileage amounts. They are all still on and while I can drive the vehicle, if there are any instances where I need to brake suddenly, myself and the people around me will probably end up in a dangerous collision. The Honda dealership has quoted me $2,600 to fix this with no additional information. Thousands of other drivers are experiencing the same issue. Shame on Honda for not allowing a recall on this.

vsa modulator in the honda accords go bad, SPECIALLY the 2013-2017 Model Years. There are so many bulltins etc on the internet if you look it up youd see ,millions of people are having the same issue. This affets braking & traction. Traction control is no longer useable and the ABS System does not work since this is all apart of the ABS system. search honda accord vsa modulator recall 2016 honda accord you will see tons and tons of complains about the same part. Honda knows and it seems as if they dont want to recall this. This is clearly a defect. I am unable to pass safety inspection in my state the last two years due to this issue. There is also none of these VSA modules in the States. ive asked time and time again and they dont have a n ETA. This is a HUGE safety concern as it affects braking and traction control. I also reached out to honda corporate as well as other people who have this issue. this issue has been reported to the NHTSA several times as well. this should NOT be happening. this is affecting millions of people and osmething needs to be done about it.

In May 2023, a local Honda dealership confirmed a VSA Solenoid Malfunction in my 2016 Honda Accord Sport. All ABS, steering, traction, and brake lights are on in the car. Part is currently on backorder - due to timing, the warranty is expired (2k miles over coverage) and no longer covers issues like this. Don't feel safe driving car while lights are on.

The battery was changed one week ago and it is telling me that the battery must be change again due to an electrical issue. Yes, it is available for inspection upon request. 2) While driving my car began to accelerate picking up speed by itself and then suddenly dropped the speed. The backup camera in my vehicle randomly but consistently stops working while the vehicle is in motion. The camera drops because the entire infotainment system crashes. The frequency of occurrence is approximately 2-3 times per month, but the problem has occurred for the past two years (around the time when Honda replaced the infotainment system due to a service bulletin). The system crashes usually within the first 1-5 minutes of driving. Sometimes it crashes when the vehicle is going forward, but a higher percentage of crashes occur in the first minute after I start the vehicle. If the vehicle is going forward and the system crashes, I lose the side camera which activates when I make a lane change to the left or a left-hand turn. I have notified Honda of this issue; i've worked with a local dealer and corresponded with Honda Corporate. Importantly, I provided Honda with photos showing the system failure. However, Honda Corporate refuses to fix the problem because, in their words, "we don't fix a problem that only happens periodically." Unacceptable! Drivers like my self depend on the backup camera. Like the airbag or seat belt, the back-up camera should be regarded as a safety device. If it fails, an OME should be required to fix the issue immediately. Yet Honda refuses to address the problem with my vehicle, and I doubt mine is the only car with this problem. Taking photos of this problem is hard because the crash is unpredictable and getting my phone out and snapping a picture is difficult and discouraged. Nevertheless, the two photos i've attached are of crashes when the vehicle is going forward. My concern, though, is loosing the backup camera when in reverse. Please help me redress this issue. Rear seat passenger seat belt stopped working. Passenger indicated seat belt wouldn't buckle. Dealer inspected the seat belt and ordered the seat belt buckle on 2/3/2023. Part was ordered at highest priority, but estimated release date from Honda's vendor is 5/28. Four months without critical safety part seems excessive. Honda Customer Service is unable to do anything to expedite availability of part from their vendor.

On 12/29/22, while in our driveway and preparing to leave home, our forward-facing daughter alerted us to a functionality issue with her car seat straps. The child was able to pull herself all the way forward while strapped into her car seat. After tightening the straps several times, the issue persisted and she continued to be able to fully loosen the straps by simply leaning forward. This demonstrated the way she would have flown forward in the event of an accident, because the straps were not properly restraining her. The car seat was removed from the vehicle and brought inside the home for closer inspection. The locking mechanism in the base of the seat, which typically allows a parent to tighten the straps but then locks the straps in place to prevent loosening, had clearly been rendered nonfunctional. Despite visually appearing functional and safe, the mechanism was not functioning correctly. At that time, a flashlight was used to inspect the mechanism closer. A very small shard of mulch was the culprit. We suspect this mulch must have fallen from our child’s clothing, fallen through the designated strap’s hole in the car seat cover, insidiously jammed itself into the locking mechanism during a routine tightening, and rendered the lock nonfunctional. We believe this to be a significant safety issue that could feasibly repeat without redesign of the mechanism and/or cover of the seat. The mechanism should not be designed in such a way that external items (mulch, food, etc) can interfere. We reported this issue to Graco as well yesterday, 12/29/22. We also have a video of the carseat prior to the removal of the mulch shard demonstrating the nonfunctional mechanism.

7 year old child sitting behind father when vehicle was hit from behind causing intrusion into the vehicle pushing the rear seat area forward; from the impact, driver's seatback yielded/failed significantly into the child's rear seating position area causing permanent catastrophic brain injuries to the child. Vehicle is currently being stored and preserved for evidence at SAFE, 6775 Hollister Ave., Goleta, CA 93117. Inspections of the vehicle are anticipated in the future.

On Wednesday, September 21, 2022, my wife was parking her car in the parking lot of a TJ Maxx, 4220 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. As she turned right into the parking space, at a very low rate of speed, 1-2 mph, the engine revved and launched her into another parked vehicle. Once the engine revved and launched she had both feet on the brake pedal. It did light damage to the vehicle she hit and moderate damage to her 2016 Honda Accord Coupe. The impact was hard enough to deploy the driver side airbag. No one was in the other vehicle and she did not sustain serious injury. The car was towed to a body shop. The other vehicle was drivable and insurances were exchanged.

I WAS ON MY WAY TO WORK ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY AND MY CAR STARTED STALLING A JERKED FORWARD ALMOST CAUSING A COLLISION I PULLED OVER TO A SAFE AREA AND CALLED MY FAMILY MEMBER HE HAD TO DRIVE IT TO ADVANCE AUTO AND THEY DIAGNOSED IT AS A FAULTY FUEL PUMP. I CALLED HONDA AND MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND GOT THE CAR TOWED TO HONDA WHERE IT WAS ALSO DIAGNOSED AS A FUEL PUMP TO BE REPLACED PER THEM MY CAR HAD NO OTHER ISSUES AS I ALWAYS KEEP UP THE MAINTENANCE ON THE CAR AS I'M STILL PAYING FOR IT. THE ONLY COMPANY THAT HAS THIS PART WAS HONDA SO THEY ORDERED THE PART AND ATTEMPTED TO REPLACE IT. ONCE I RECEIVED MY CAR BACK I NOTICED A STRONG GAS SMELL AND STALLING TO CRANK. I CALLED THEM AND HAD IT TOWED BACK AND THEY SAID IT WAS A GAS LEAK THEY HAD TO REPLACE THE WHOLE SYSTEM THEY JUST PUT IN. ONCE I RECEIVED THE CALL BACK I NOTICED THE SAME THING BUT THIS TIME THE SCENT WAS SIGNIFICANTLY STRONG CAUSING HEADACHES TO MYSELF AND OTHER PEOPLE I ALSO HAVE A VIDEO OF THE GAS POURING OUT FROM UNDER MY CAR AFTER I HAD JUST FILLED UP THE TANK. I TOLD HONDA THE FIRST TIME MY CONCERNS ABOUT IT BEING FIXED PROPERLY AS I HAVE A GAS WATER HEATER IN MY GARAGE WHERE THE CAR IS KEPT THEY ENSURED ME IT WAS FINE . I STILL HAD RESERVATIONS ABOUT DRIVING THE CAR BEING STRANDED OR IT CATCHING ON FIRE WHEN I RECEIVED IT BACK THE THIRD TIME . I WAS RIGHT BECAUSE WHEN I RECEIVED IT BACK NOT EVEN TWO DAYS LATER THE SMELL PERMEATED MY HOUSE AND GARAGE AND THE CAR WOULD NOT START. I HAD TO CALL THEM AND GET IT TOWED AGAIN. THIS WILL NOW BE THEIR FOURTH ATTEMPT IN FIXING MY CAR. ALL THREE TIMES THEY HAVE GIVEN MY CAR BACK I WAS SO AFRAID OF DRIVING IT I ONLY MOVED THE CAR TO GO TO WORK AND BACK HOME. LAST NIGHT MY DASHBOARD LOST ELECTRICITY FOR ABOUT 2 SECONDS AND MY ENGINE STALLED. I LOST POWER STEERING CONTROL. AFTER 2 SECONDS, ELECTRICAL COMPONENTS OF THE DASHBOARD RETURNED TO NORMAL, AS DID THE POWER STEERING AND ENGINE, AND EVERYTHING WAS FINE. THIS MORNING, I DROVE ON A STREET & SMOKE ENTERED THE CABIN AREA OF THE CAR & I PULLED OVER IMMEDIATELY. OPENED THE HOOD AND THE BATTERY (POSITIVE TERMINAL) WAS FULLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES. A GENTLEMAN PUT OUT THE FIRE WITH WATER FROM THE GAS STATION. MY BATTERY IS 1/4 MELTED, DUE TO THE FIRE. OTHER PLASTIC PARTS OF THE ENGINE ARE ALSO SLIGHTLY MELTED. I CALLED GARDENA HONDA (IN LOS ANGELES CA) AND THEY TOLD ME MY 2016 HONDA ACCORD WAS NOT PART OF THE BATTERY SENSOR RECALL BUT THE SERVICE PERSON TOLD ME THAT SHE HAD SEEN MY EMAIL AND FORWARDED IT TO HER SUPERVISOR, AND THAT SHE WOULD SPEAK TO HIM TO SEE WHAT THEY COULD DO. SHE TOLD ME THAT HER SUPERVISOR SAID TO IMMEDIATELY BRING IT INTO THE GARDENA, CA HONDA DEALERSHIP. UPON ARRIVAL THE SERVICE PEOPLE TOLD ME THEY WOULD DEFINITELY BE CHARGING ME AT LEAST $160 FOR A DIAGNOSIS. I THEN EXPLAINED TO THEM THAT I WAS MISLED, AS WHEN I INITIALLY CALLED I WAS TOLD THAT SHE WOULD CHECK TO SEE WHAT THEY COULD DO AND THAT SHE WOULD CALL ME BACK. AT NO TIME DID SHE SAY I WOULD BE CHARGED FOR ANYTHING. INSTEAD, SHE MISLEAD ME BY SAYING SHE HAD SPOKEN TO HER SUPERVISOR AND THAT HE SAID TO BRING IT IN IMMEDIATELY. THEY MISLEAD ME, WASTED MY TIME, AND ARE PUTTING PEOPLE'S LIVES IN DANGER AS ALTHOUGH MY VEHICLE (2016 HONDA ACCORD WITH VIN IS APPARENTLY NOT PART OF THE RECALL, MY CAR'S BATTERY CAUGHT FIRE AND I AM SURE OTHER PEOPLE'S CAR'S WILL ALSO CATCH FIRE. I WAS DRIVING ON 35-38 MPH IN A 35MPH ZONE. THE ROAD WAS CURVING IN THE FORM OF A C AND MY TIRES STARTED TO SKID. ONCE I APPLIED BRAKES AND I COULDN'T FEEL ANYTHING BRAKING AND ONCE AGAIN APPLIED, THE CAR TURNED 90 DEGREE, STRAIGHTENED OUT ON THE ROAD BUT NOT COMPLETELY MEANING THE CAR WAS STILL GOING FORWARD IN THE DIRECTION ON THE ROAD BUT A 30 DEGREE ANGLE. WHILE ON A TRIP DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE AT 72 MPH, IN BUSY TRAFFIC, WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON, THE ENGINE STALLED. I ROLLED TO A STOP ON THE SHOULDER, AND THE CAR DIDN'T RESTART. ENGINE LIGHTS CAME ON, BUT ALL ELECTRONICS (RADIO, COMPUTER SCREENS) WERE WORKING. HONDA TOWED (UNDER WARRANTY) TO THEIR NEAREST DEALERSHIP. AFTER CHECKING OUT THE CAR, AND TELLING ME IT RESTARTED AND DISPLAYED NO DIAGNOSTIC CODES, I WAS SENT ON MY WAY. I WAS TOLD IT WAS SAFE TO DRIVE AS THERE WAS NO PROBLEM. STILL ON A TRIP, AND ABOUT 500 MILES LATER, I WAS AGAIN ON THE INTERSTATE PASSING A GROUP OF SEMI'S ON ABOUT A 5% GRADE, WITH CARS IN FRONT OF AND BEHIND ME, WHEN THE ENGINE STALLED AGAIN. THIS TIME WAS MUCH SCARIER AS I WAS IN THE PASSING LANE, AND THE RIGHT SHOULDER WAS BLOCKED BY A LONG STRING OF SEMI'S. IT WAS DANGEROUS TRYING TO GET TO THE RIGHT SHOULDER AS THERE WERE CARS IN FRONT OF AND BEHIND ME ALSO. I WAS TRAVELING AT 78 MPH WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON WHEN THIS HAPPENED. THE CAR RESTARTED THIS TIME, AND WITH IT BEING A WEEKEND AND THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT CLOSED, I CONTINUED HOME THE FINAL 550 MILES (IN THE RIGHT LANE) WITHOUT INCIDENT. THIS WAS THE 3RD TIME THE ENGINE HAS STALLED. THE FIRST WAS WHEN I WAS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC ON THE INTERSTATE, IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC. THE TEMPERATURE WAS 109, AND AT THE TIME (CAR HAD ABOUT 10,000 MILES ON IT) I ATTRIBUTED IT TO THE TEMPERATURE EVEN THOUGH THE CAR DIDN'T OVERHEAT. WE HAVE FULL VIDEO EVIDENCE OF THE INCIDENT FROM A THIRD PARTY DASH CAM. WE WERE ALMOST HIT FROM BEHIND. WE TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP THINKING THERE WAS SOMETHING WRONG WITH IT, IT WAS RETURNED, SAYING THAT THE CAR WORKED AS INTENDED. #1 ISSUE ON SEP 23 2017 WE WERE GOING DOWN AN INCLINE, IN THE CITY, APPLYING THE BRAKES AND GOING ABOUT 25MPH WHEN THE ENGINE ACCELERATED. WE WERE APPROACHING A STOP SIGN AT A BUSY INTERSECTION. HE APPLIED THE BRAKES HARDER BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT STOP. AFTER THE INITIAL SHOCK MY HUSBAND THOUGHT TO PUT IT INTO NEUTRAL AND WE WERE ABLE TO STOP. WE TOOK OUR CAR INTO OUR HONDA DEALER. THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM SO THEY STATED THE CAR DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM. HONDA HAD OUR CAR FOR 2 WEEKS AND DROVE 54MILES WITHOUT INCIDENT. WE CONTACTED AMERICAN HONDA AND GOT A CASE NUMBER. THEY CALLED US TO TELL US THEY HAD CONTACTED OUR HONDA DEALER AND THEY AGREED NOTHING WAS FOUND SO OUR CAR DID NOT HAVE A PROBLEM. #2 ISSUE THE FIRST WEEK AFTER WE PURCHASED OUR HONDA IN JANUARY 2016 THE COMPASS WENT OUT. HONDA SERVICE PUT IN A NEW SENDING UNIT. IN SEP 2017 THE COMPASS AND FUEL MPG READOUT ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL WENT BLANK. THIS HAPPENED ALONG WITH THE ACCELERATION PROBLEM THAT WE STATED ABOVE.. WE TOOK IT INTO FOR REPAIR AND THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE SO THEY WOULD NOT DO ANY REPLACEMENT OR REPAIR. THEN, ON OCT 24TH THE COMPASS AND THE RADIO STOPPED WORKING. THE RADIO CAME BACK ON WITHIN A MINUTE, BUT THE COMPASS DID NOT WORK ACCURATELY AGAIN FOR SEVERAL HOURS. WE HAVE SEND AN EMAIL TO THE SERVICE MANAGER AND ARE WAITING FOR A REPLY. UNINTENDED ACCELERATION. 2016 HONDA ACCORD, 9200 MILES. ON 7/14/17 I PULLED INTO THE PARKING LOT OF MY LOCAL DRUGSTORE. I LOCATED A PARKING SPOT, AND WAS SLOWLY TURNING RIGHT TO PULL INTO THE PARKING SPACE WHEN MY ENGINE REVVED, THE CAR ACCELERATED, UP OVER THE CONCRETE CURB, OVER BIKE RACK AND INTO THE SIDE OF THE BRICK BUILDING. BY THIS TIME, BOTH OF MY FEET WERE ON THE BRAKE BUT THE CAR DID NOT STOP. THE AIRBAG DEPLOYED. I TURNED THE CAR OFF. POLICE WERE CALLED AND AN ACCIDENT REPORT WAS TAKEN. I CONTACTED HONDA AMERICA AND THEY ASSIGNED ME A CASE MANAGER, WHO RETURNED MY CALL AND TOOK ALL INFORMATION. HONDA SENT A FIELD REPRESENTATIVE TO EXAMINE THE CAR AT THE BODY SHOP. AFTER THIS THE CASE MANAGER CALLED ME TO LET ME KNOW HONDA FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE CAR, FOLLOWED BY A LETTER TO CONFIRM THAT. MY FOOT WAS NOT IN THE ACCELERATOR AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH. I HAVE SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS, ACCIDENT REPORT, REPAIR BILL, MEDICAL BILLS. I WILL PROVIDE THESE TO YOU BY MAIL OR FAX. I CANNOT SEEM TO UPLOAD ON THE MOBILE APPLICATION.

THE VEHICLE SPUN OUT AND BECAME LODGED BETWEEN TWO VEHICLES WITHOUT WARNING. THE AIR BAGS FAILED TO DEPLOYED. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED AND THERE WERE NO INJURIES. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO A TOWING YARD. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 8,768.

CAR WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW FROM DEALERSHIP IN FORT SMITH, AR. UPON INSPECTION 10 DAYS AFTER PURCHASE. (MILES: 502) VEHICLE UNDERCARRIAGE AND SUSPENSION HAD SIGNIFICANT RUST AND OXIDIZATION DAMAGE. IN THIS REGION OF THE UNITED STATES- RUST IS VERY UNCOMMON IF NOT EVER PRESENT, MUCH LESS, ON A BRAND NEW VEHICLE. AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS TO WORK WITH AMERICAN HONDA AND THE LOCAL DEALERSHIP, THEY CLAIM TO HAVE EXHAUSTED ALL EFFORTS AND HAVE DONE ALL "REPAIRS" THEY INTEND TO DO. THE WORK DONE WAS ONLY SURFACE REMOVAL AND SINCE THEN, A REAR OIL LEAK HAS DEVELOPED AND THE BACK SEAT DOOR PANELS HAVE SEPARATED FROM THE BODY OF THE VEHICLE. LET IT BE KNOWN THAT I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT A VEHICLE SINCE THE BEGINNING OF THIS PROCESS, JUNE 3, 2016. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND UNBELIEVABLE THAT A BRAND NEW VEHICLE HAS THIS EXTENT OF RUST DAMAGE. I AM A MECHANIC WITH OVER 40 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE AND HAVE NEVER SEEN THIS TYPE OF DAMAGE ON A VEHICLE, LET ALONE A NEW PURCHASE. LATELY, I DECIDED NOT TO DRIVE MY 2016 HONDA ACCORD ON THE HIGHWAY FOR SAFETY PRECAUTION UNTIL THE HONDA DEALERSHIP DOES SOMETHING ABOUT MY CAR. I DON'T HAVE FULL CONTROL OF STEERING WHEEL ABOUT 40 MPH. I TOOK BACK FOUR TIMES, THE DEALERSHIP MECHANIC SAW NOTHING WRONG. I KNOW IT IS STEERING ISSUE. ONE WOULD HAVE TO DRIVE THE CAR FOR A WHILE TO ENCOUNTER THE PROBLEM THAT AM HAVING WITH IT. I WILL TAKE IT BACK AFTER THE HOLIDAY FOR A REPLACEMENT. STEERING WHEEL OCCLUDES THE SPEEDOMETER. ANALOG SPEEDOMETER IS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DASHBOARD AND VERY LARGE. DEPENDING ON THE POSITION OF THE STEERING WHEEL YOU LOOSE AT LEAST 25 MPH RANGE (EITHER ON THE LOW OR HIGH END OF THE SPECTRUM). THERE IS NO DIGITAL READOUT WHICH WOULD BE A SIMPLE FIX TO THIS ISSUE AS THE LOW CENTER PART OF THE SPEEDOMETER "RING" IS ALWAYS VISIBLE. ALSO, THE DRIVER'S SEAT HAS A BUILT IN ARCH THAT DOES NOT FIT EVER BODY. IT IS NOT ADJUSTABLE AND (DEPENDING ON HEIGHT) POKES YOU IN THE MID-LOW BACK AND DOESN'T LET THE UPPER BACK GET SUPPORT OR RELAX INTO THE SEAT. RESULT IS VERY TIGHT AND SPASMED BACK MUSCLES. THIS GETS WORSE OVER TIME.
