Speakers produce full volume static, this loud static sound is unavoidable, it occurs randomly when the car is on and when the audio is on, but once it starts making static sounds, it won't stop. Source input also does not matter. Some observations I have made are that: •It is extremely cold in New Jersey and after the heater is on high for a while and when the car is warmed up it starts to make these unavoidable static sounds. •When the audio is turned off sometimes the static goes away but sometimes it stays even when the audio is turned off. •Once it starts making static sounds, even turning off the car and turning it back on with the audio off doesn't make the static sounds go away. Only when the car is off for a while and it gets cold again, it stops the static sounds. It is extremely cold in New Jersey around this time of the year, and it is impossible to drive without the heater. Once the loud static sounds start, it won't stop and it creates distractions while driving, almost causing me to get into an accident. Lots of people with the same car are having this issue and lots of reddit users are also reporting this issue and most of the people with this issue seem to have some mention of heat causing it or it occurs on hot days. Dealership is not helping either and they can't figure out the cause of the problem. They are suggesting changing the car audio (Head Unit) at customer's expense. A lot of people on reddit reporting the issue mentioned submitting a complaint to the NHTSA, I see there are already some complaints regarding the loud static sounds on here. Dealership is no help, and Honda doesn’t seem to have any Recalls for this either. Need More complaints and a Recall for this!

Numerous complaints and visits to the Honda dealer and phone calls to American Honda, About the stereo system in my 2017 Honda Accord, while driving the radios abruptly cuts off and starts making extremely loud static noise, even after turning the system off the static persists with no way to shut it off without having to turning the car off or pulling over to remove the fuse that powers the system. I try buying a new stereo system from the dealer at extremely high price but the radios have been on back order for over 2 years. And an after market system will be extremely labor intensive and having to make major modifications. I bought the car new and been driving the car without the radio for 2 years. Please help.

Car radio, and the upper screen on top of the car radio restarts at random times either when using it or not using it, CarPlay restart the radio as well the upper screen random times when it restarts as well as the radio will not show you current drive trip or fuel amount. It goes in and out and restarts. The whole system went to the dealership many times and they say they see nothing wrong. I’ve looked up online to see if I can find a way or see if any other people are having an issue and from what I looked up there are a lot of people with 2016s 2017 with the same issue. I am occurring this issue has been going on for years since I brought the car. I brought the car brand new out of the dealership. I’m taking it many times to the Dealership service department and no one is able to assist me to correct the issue. I have also showed the service department video proof of the issue please I would appreciate if you guys could assist in this issue, whether if these radios of my car and many other peoples vehicles have to be replaced or God forbid there’s a loose wire in the back and this car has a really electrical problem and my car catch a fire. God forbid. But this issue has been going on for a while that for example I could be listening to music loud radio cancels out and then it will just come back on scaring me because it was locked as well as putting up and down the volume won’t work because the system freezes and it restarts itself and all this is while I’m physically driving can’t use navigation can’t use hands-free in my car due to this issue I also have video, but I’m not able to upload the video. It only allows me to upload photos. The photo that was uploaded is how my car screen looks now with no screen at all and as I’m speaking to you right now, the car is literally resetting itself again for the fifth time today even when the car radio and screen, reset there are still a major live in the system

The radio randomly starts playing deafening static noise, turning the volume down does nothing. It’s at random although hot day do exacerbate the issue. It’s really loud static noise. I can’t hear anything going on around me when driving and I can’t control the volume because it doesn’t change anything

The car will suddenly have a high-pitched screaming coming from the speakers for no apparent reason with no way to stop the noise. Turning the sound system to zero volume or even turning the power to the radio off does not stop the noise. I have measured the decibel level between 80 -128 decibels with no way to make it stop. I have had to stop the vehicle on the freeway multiple times and turn off the car engine for 15-20 minutes to make it stop. I have recorded the sounds if anyone is interested in hearing them I tried to upload a file but it wouldn't let me an Mp4 file. Honda swears they have never received this complaint before but my google search shows this is a known problem that costs between 2K - 4K to fix. This is a hazard and needs to be recalled. Please help. I paid 35K for this vehicle. I've been dealing with this issue for over 4 years. and I believe my hearing is becoming impaired because of this issue.

There is loud static noise coming from the radio that’s affecting all the speakers even when the radio is powered off the static is there, I checked online and found that a 2017 Honda Accord that’s experiencing the same issues. The sounds is absolutely nerve wrecking it triggered my autistic son that he no longer wants to ride in the vehicle because of the noise.

This 2017 Honda Accord has recently been making very loud static noises from the speakers. It gets so loud and the only way to turn it off is to turn off the engine and restart. The static noise always comes back though, so this is clearly a safety issue. On youtube, there are many people saying this same issue. My speakers randomly make this EXTREMELY loud static and even with volume off it doesn’t stop. It’s very distracting and hard to focus on driving while it’s going on! This has been happening almost everyday! Then it stops whenever it decides to! Sometimes for an hour!

The ABS/VSA module system malfunctioned/failed. Based on information on online forums and the independent service center I utilized…this has happened before with the 9th generation Honda Accords. As a result, there were issues with acceleration and, in particular, braking which created safety hazard. There were warning lights that went on and off at various times (inconsistently) which first appeared 2 months ago.

Frequently, my vehicle experiences a misfire, particularly at highway speeds. The check engine light has turned on and flashed, indicating an engine misfire. The vehicle does not immediately respond when the throttle is engaged, presenting a safety hazard while the vehicle is moving. All spark plugs and coils have been replaced and the problem persists. Other trims and similar models exhibit a fuel pump failure and have been recalled due to a manufacturer defect. I am asking for my model (2017 Honda Accord EX-L, FWD) to be included in the recall and for my fuel pump and affected systems to be replaced.

While driving my 2017 Honda Accord, I suddenly lost the ability to accelerate when pressing the gas pedal entering the freeway. At the same time, the check engine light flashed along with multiple other warning lights, which caused the car to go into limp mode. This put my safety at risk, as I was unable to speed up in traffic, creating a dangerous situation. Same situation occurred the next day - narrowly avoiding the accident. The car is not safe to drive. Honda dealership determined issue was due to a fuel injector failure, on a very well-maintained vehicle it seems strange for this issue to come up. I believe this issue is directly related to the faulty fuel pump which is being recalled for many 2017-2018 ACCORDs as the defective fuel pump caused excessive strain on the fuel injectors over time, it could explain why so many owners, including myself, are experiencing premature failures. Given the safety risks involved and the growing number of similar reports, I urge NHTSA to investigate this issue and hold Honda accountable for addressing the problem and cover the cost of the injection repairs

The 3rd cylinder connecting rod failed under 120k miles. The rod knocked the starter loose while the vehicle was going 70 MPH, and caused a fire. It was inspected by the dealership it was purchased from. There were no symptoms or warnings at all, it was sudden and unexpected. Myself and my passenger were both shaken and thankfully had time to pull over when it happened, and we managed to put the fire out.

Cylinder 3 misfire as indicated through an obd2 scan caused by a faulty spark plug and igntion coil. This is the second time these needed to be replaced when the vehicle is at 58,000 miles. The VCM is causing this issue along with excessive oil consumption and Honda is aware and not issuing recall or reimbursement for service to correct the issue.

The contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle stalled temporarily. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where the transmission and the alternator were replaced; however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that while driving 45 MPH, the vehicle stalled completely. The malfunction indicator light (MIL) was illuminated. The vehicle failed to restart and was towed to the local Pep Boys, where it was diagnosed and determined that the engine had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. An unknown dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that the VIN was not included in a related recall. The dealer informed the contact that the engine needed to be replaced, at the owner’s expense. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.

I HAVE BEEN INFORMED BY THE HONDA DEALERSHIP THAT THE FACTORY CONTINENTAL TIRES PLACED ON BY HONDA, HAVE A TREAD PATTERN THAT AT LOW SPEEDS MAKES THE SMALL NOISE I AM HEARING BECAUSE IT IS LOOSE FROM THE WHEEL. THAT IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN, AND THIS OCCURS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS MOVING AT A SLOW RATE OF SPEED YOU CAN HEAR A GRINDING FROM THE WHEELS THAT IS ACTUALLY THE TIRE. 2017 Honda Accord Touring Model, once car heats up, radio begins to make a static noise that gradually gets louder until it gets to a point that is extremely loud. It is very distracting and damages hearing, making it difficult to drive, causing a serious driving hazard. It does not matter if the radio is on or off and turning the volume down does not help at all. Shutting the engine off and restarting the car is the only way to get it to stop.

I own a 2017 Honda Accord “Touring” model that has developed an intermittent audio problem (described below) that is a safety issue because it causes serious driver distraction and impatience to reach a destination to turn the car off. There is NO WAY for the driver to stop the problem without turning the car completely off. Despite numerous reports from others (documented below), Honda has not issued a recall. It is hoping that a “goodwill discount” of 40% or so (offered only if the owner knows to demand it) will prevent a recall. The ONLY fix is to have a Honda dealer replace the OEM “audio head unit”. Without the “goodwill discount”, the installed cost is $1,400 - $1,600 to fix a condition that is obviously out of warranty. The problem is that in hot (85+) weather, even with the audio system turned OFF, a modest “scratching” sound begins from all speakers, gradually becoming a loud, continuous static which lasts for 3 or 4 minutes and then gradually tapers off to silence. If I turn audio power ON while this is occurring, the static instantly becomes intolerably loud until I turn audio power off; then the scratching continues for a few more minutes until it gradually disappears. When this problem is not occurring, the audio system plays normally. This problem is significantly frequent. 10,000 to 15,000 such cars were sold. •CarComplaints.com lists 170 such complaints under the Electrical System and Other Problems categories. •CarProblemZoo.com lists 99 general equipment complaints; the static noise issue stands out as the most common recent problem.. •DriveAccord.net, a popular owner forum: “2017 Accord Radio Static” has around 470 posts. That is a total of about 700+ reports of this problem, on 5 -7% of these vehicles. That is a safety problem that must be recalled! Problem first occurred in May 2025. More frequent in hot weather: 3 times in last 3 days. Symptoms occur randomly and don't last long enough to reach a dealer for diagnosis.

MY BACK UP CAMERA WAS REPLACED IN 2018 DUE TO THE ORIGINAL ONE INSTALLED DURING THE MANUFACTURING STATE BEING DEFECTIVE AND GOING OUT WHILE STILL UNDER WARRANTY. LAST YEAR MY CAMERA QUIT PROJECTING AN IMAGE ON THE SCREEN. I CAN ONLY SEE THE DIRECTIONAL LINES ON THE SCREEN WHEN IN REVERSE THAT CHANGE COLOR AND APPEARS TO WORK IF I AM OUT OF THE PARKING LINES AND THE SCREEN IS BLACK. EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE THE CAMERA WILL FLASH AN IMAGE FOR A NANOSECOND ON THE SCREEN BEFORE GOING BLACK. I HAVE GONE TO HONDA REGARDING THIS BUT THEY WON'T DO ANYTHING BECAUSE MY VIN IS A 2017. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE SINCE I AM UNABLE TO SEE WHEN BACKING OUT. PLEASE CONSIDER EXTENDING THIS RECALL TO INCLUDE THE 2017 HONDA ACCORDS. I AM SURE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WITH THIS ISSUE.

The speakers and sound system emit a VERY loud static sound that is often accompanied by computerized sounds. It usually happens after I've been driving the vehicle for about 10-15 minutes. It seems to be coming from the head unit/radio unit, but the sound will continue even if I completely turn off the radio/sound system. It's so loud that it's often hard to concentrate and is going to damage my hearing if it persists. It started happening shortly after my car turned over to 100K miles. There are hundreds and maybe thousands of other Honda Accord owners who have posted online about this VERY same issue (usually 2017) and the Honda dealers recommend replacing the entire unit to the tune of $4-5,000. This is a manufacturer defect!! The ONLY thing that stops the noise is to pull over, turn the car off, and wait 10-15 minutes, but sometimes the sound starts right up again. I have not yet taken my car to the dealer or a repair shop due to the hundreds/thousands of other posts online stating the exact same problem and the recommendation by Honda being to replace a part that was manufactured defectively. The sound is VERY loud and I cannot drive my car very far unless I just want to put up with it and try to ignore it. Even if I put headphones in my ears (which I don't when driving as that's unsafe), I can STILL hear the static. Honda needs to issue a recall for this problem and fix it!

POWER TRAIN

Several times when driving at speeds of 50-60mph with my foot steady on the accelerator, the car will suddenly start to slow down so that I am going only, say, 40 mph. Either at the same time or shortly after this occurs, multiple warning lights/messages appear on the dash: Collision Mitigation System, Brake System, ACC System all appear and messages say they are not working, which is true, although the brakes seemed to still work fine. When this occurred the first time, I was able to pull off the highway and stop, unsure of what to do. I continued to try and drive because I was in the middle of a long trip. The slow downs kept happening intermittently, but I discovered that if I pumped the accelerator a couple of times, the speed would be restored. However, this was still a dangerous situation because I never knew when it would occur, so I stayed in the right lane and had to avoid any situations requiring confident acceleration, such as crossing a busy street. In total, this has occurred while I’m driving approximately 10-15 times, but the warning lights may or may not go away after a while, or after stopping and re-starting the car. I took car to DAR Cars Honda Fairfax (Virginia) dealer who updated software and said it should be fixed. Next day as I was driving about 50 mph, the slowdown occurred again and the warning lights came on. I drove back to the dealer, during which time the slowdown occurred one more time with me pumping accelerator to get power back, and left it with them. They could not reproduce the symptoms. I had them keep and drive it another day to see if they could make the slowdown occur, but it did not, so I picked up the car. However, I feel that this is a dangerous situation and I can no longer drive this car confidently on long trips or in situations where I need acceleration that I can rely on.

Honda issued a recall for the torque converter on my 2017 Honda Accord. I had received the paperwork in June of this year and have been battling with them ever since. I had to have my transmission replaced due to repeated issues with my torque converter code appearing and lose of power over a year ago. After losing power going uphill several times and being fearful of causing a crash, I had to have it repaired. In January 2024, I paid an independent car repair facility(DynoTrans in Temecula, CA) $4,200 to replace my entire transmission because of this recurring issue. I have submitted the receipts from the facility to Honda and because they requested "proof" of our cash payment, screenshots of both mine and my husband's bank statements showing cash withdrawals(since we paid the owner in cash in order to get a cash discount), and Honda is denying to reimburse us for this repair, even though it is a nationwide recall, a known issue, that I had paid for out of my pocket to have repaired prior to them ever issuing a recall due to this recurrent issue with the torque converter. I feel like this is an illegitimate denial and therefore am filing this complaint. Sandra P. is the representative that I have been in contact with from Honda.

1) The bottom portion of the DRL LED strip in the driver's side headlight is no longer working. I can send pictures upon request. 2) There is an NHTSA service bulletin (19-042) for 2017 Honda Accord Hybrids (all trim levels), but Honda says my VIN isn't included in this bulletin. Even though my 2017 Accord Hybrid has the same failure as the vehicles included in bulletin. A Honda representative told me to report my issue to the NHTSA and ask that my VIN be included in this bulletin. 3) I have not taken the vehicle in for inspection because I found that this is a known, common issue for my car make, model, and year.

The headlight assembly DRL (Daytime Running Lights) LEDs are burnt out and have melted due to daytime lights running too hot. These are a complete sealed assembly and need to be replaced as a unit due to mechanical failure from manufacture defect.

There is currently a recall (TSB 19-042) for 2016 to 2017 Honda Accord DRL LED's malfunctioning due to high voltage on the lower LED strip. Both headlights have experienced this failure. I took the vehicle in for a 100,000 (end of Certified Warranty Safety Inspection) and when I picked up the vehicle, I was informed all the Recalls that applied to my vehicle had been completed. When noted that this repair had not been done, I was told my vehicle VIN must not be "in range." My understanding is that ALL 2017 Accord Hybrid Touring Models were affected, so I'm not understanding that response. I'd like the units repaired as per the TSB.

ABS LOW VOLTAGE WARNING symbol appeared on vehicle. $3500 to repair according to dealership. This is a common issue on these vehicles and poses a safety risk. Hoping that NHTSA will investigate this problem as many owners have experienced same issue and repair cost is significant, particularly for a vehicle this age.

I am writing to bring to your attention a serious safety issue I have experienced with my 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid Touring, which has 58,757 miles on it and has been diligently maintained with all scheduled services up to date by Honda dealership. On March 18, 2025, I reported a brake fluid leak originating from underneath the brake pedal inside the cabin. Upon taking the vehicle to an authorized Honda dealership for inspection, I was informed that the root cause is a faulty brake booster Simulator. What is particularly concerning is that there was no warning light, alert, or indication of this issue prior to the visible brake fluid leak. The only reason this dangerous condition was discovered was due to visibly seeing brake fluid inside the vehicle cabin. This issue has been reported to Honda customer service center, however their focus was only not vehicle millage being out warranty without offering any root cause or resolution. Honda dealership stated that this very uniqe they haven't face this type failure.

All brake lights are displayed on dash, along with steering, tire, and ABS lights. I spoke with the dealership two years ago and the part has been backordered. They could not tell me when it would become available. I checked today and it's available and expensive. When driving my brakes shake. I've had the brakes repaired at least for times and they still don't fully brake properly.

Vehicle: 2017 Honda Accord EX Mileage at incident: Approx 30,000 Date of incident: Dec 10, 2025 Description of problem: While my daughter was driving our 2017 Honda Accord EX, the Collision Mitigation Braking System (CMBS) suddenly activated without warning. The car slammed on the brakes even though there was no obstacle in front of her. This caused the vehicle to skid, but fortunately there was no collision or injury. There were no diagnostic codes found when inspected by an independent auto shop. The shop advised us to temporarily disable the CMBS system. This appears to be part of the ongoing issue of phantom braking in Honda vehicles, which has been reported by many owners and is currently under NHTSA investigation. I am concerned about the safety risk, especially since my daughter drives this car regularly. Safety concern: Unexpected braking at highway or city speeds could easily cause a rear-end collision or loss of control. I request that NHTSA investigate this incident and ensure Honda provides a permanent fix or recall.

All 4 warnings came on about a month ago - no safety systems & no cruise control at all. I could drive 50 miles and they'd go off until eventually they did not. Now I find through the forums that this is very common for the 2017 Honda Accord & Hybrid! And, the dealers knowing this are charging over $2,000 for a simple camera! So, they know these have a high failure rate, are not fixing them, and are price gouging us! Please help us all on the roads out there!

While driving my car suddenly felt like it was braking. The car beeped but no brake light appeared as when it thinks i am going to run into something. There were 2 incidents with nothing in front of me. One was at a low rate if speed and one was on a freeway. The car went back to normal after a second. The incidents were around 3 weeks apart

I was driving straight on the freeway maintaining the speed limit when the driver side side curtain airbag and driver side seat airbag spontaneously deployed. Due to the loud noise and not expecting this to happen I was in complete shock but was able to safely move the car off the freeway with very obstructed vision due to the airbag being deployed. I lost temporary hearing in my left ear due to the loud explosive sound as well as it hitting me in the head. If it had been rush hour traffic this could have easily resulted in an accident killing myself as well as others on the road. The car was taken to a Honda dealership where it was inspected and a diagnostic test was done. There was no indication that the airbag should have deployed per the diagnostic test which concluded that no collision was suspected or detected thus deeming it as a result of a faulty sensor. There were no warning indicator lights at anytime that appeared prior to the incident. National Honda was notified by the dealership and they stated this was not their financial responsibility to repair but ours. I too contacted Honda services and field a claim and was told that we would be responsible for the cost of the repairs to fix the sensor and replace the airbag.

The RF and LR door locks won't unlock or lock with the switch or the key fob. By not being able to lock or unlock those doors, if I had an accident my passengers would not be able to exit the car. I have tested this several times and the only way to unlock or lock is manually by pushing the switch on the door itself. It has not been inspected by anyone other than me. and the problem started with the LR door lock not working, now has also started on the RF door, the LR started about 2 months ago and the RF started 3 days ago.

While driving this Honda accord the sunroof suddenly exploded into thousands of little pieces.It rained down pieces of glass all over me and the interior of the car. Nothing hit the glass and I had never heard of this occurring until I began researching to see if it had happened to others. There are many instances where people have talked of this happening to them on the Honda forum and other places online. This is definitely a safety concern. Glass shattering and pouring down on people while they are driving is potentially a fatal flaw. Cars with sunroofs should be required to use laminated glass like for windshields,

This is an ongoing problem - -- On startup, the vehicle reports 4 system warnings that shut off the cruise control and ABS brakes as well as the other safety systems. This is an intermittent problem. -- The dealer states that the camera is dead and wants $2,500 to replace and calibrate it. This is a common response from dealers I see in all the forums. -- I have found a work-around that is not documented in forums yet. -- If we keep our foot on the brake until after the electronics start sequence finishes, no errors EVERY TIME -- If we take our foot off the brake when the car starts, but before the electronics finish, we get errors every time. This is a dangerous, high-frequency, extremely expensive problem if we follow the dealers suggestions. I do not know what the root cause is, but I know it is not a $2,500 problem. And, I am very concerned about the people driving without the safety features due to the excessive and unnecessary cost.

The adaptive cruise system on this vehicle will get you rear ended real fast. It applies the brakes whenever it feels like it, when you make a turn while passing a truck it will slam on the brakes so hard it tries to throw you thru the windshield and all you are doing is passing a truck in a turn The lane departure is dangerous because it fights you in a turn to the point you have to fight to stay in lane and it shakes the steering wheel which seems to me would be the last thing you want to have happen

The driver seat belt has locked up, rendering it unusable. My mechanic confirmed that I needed a replacement seat belt; it cannot be repaired. I paid for a replacement seat belt 17 June 2024 from Val Strough Honda dealership in Seaside CA, a special order. Seat belts for 2017 Honda Accords have been back-ordered ever since. I have checked back every couple of months; still back-ordered 13 months later. At one time the dealer said there were 59 back-orders for that part. The dealer received one July 6th which went to a customer who had waited 2 years for it. Seat belts are required in California. I drive as many as 20,000 miles each year. If there is an accident, I have no seat belt that protects me from major injury or worse.

The contact stated while her daughter was driving at approximately 45 MPH and in heavy traffic, the vehicle in front of the contact's daughter stopped suddenly and the daughter crashed into the rear end of the other vehicle. I purchased 4 new tires from Braman Honda on 2/2023. I drive the car daily but I also have a take home vehicle for work. On 12/4/25 and 12/5 my son, who is on military leave took the car from Boynton beach to Miami for an appointment. when he returned, he showed me a picture of the dash showing the low tire pressure light on. Up until now, there was no warning of any issues with the tires. I thought that there may be a nail in the tire but to my shock, the front driver side tire was missing chunks. The following week I had the car towed from my house to Braman Honda. My service advisor called to inform me that all 4 tires had tears and cracks in the sidewalls and must be replaced. Me and/or my son could have been hurt or killed while driving the car with the tires in this condition. My car is only serviced at Honda and I keep up with all tire rotations. On 2/21/25 a multi point vehicle inspection was performed and I declined the multi point inspection and tire rotation on 6/14/25 due to a time crunch. The warranty expired after 2 years so I had to finance 4 new tires. BF Goodrich will only file a claim if you replace with their tire brand. I do not trust their brand and even although they supplied the batch of dry rotted tires which was installed on my car, Honda nor BF Goodrich will help with the cost. I've read many similar cases like mine about these tires. BFGoodrich claims that the cracks are due to road hazards.

[235/40R19 96V XL] **I AM IN CANADA, NOT NEW YORK, BUT SINCE YOU ARE THE FOREMOST AUTHORITY ON RECALLS, CANADA USUALLY FOLLOWS*** Tires came with car, brand new, September 2017. In year 2, I noticed a repeated noise coming from the tires and assumed it was the brakes and had them serviced. During my research, I found many articles and complaints from Honda Accord drivers with the similar model and tire set-up as me complaining about this persistent noise from the tires and it was determined that the steel belt inside the tire has loosened or something and is free within the tire, causing this noise. I stumbled upon a NHTSA recall notice on Continental tires for this exact reason, however the year of my car is not included within this recall. This is my request, to have the 2017 model year, where Honda mixed between Michelin tires and Continental tires - and for owners like me to be reimbursed with a new set of tires, free of cost. Per the NHTSA recall, this overheating during the manufacturing process causes the steel belt to become free and could cause a blow out. This vehicle has the same 3.5 litre V-6 that is being recalled engine failures, and stalling in the Honda Ridgeline, Passport and Acuras. Why arent the Honda Accords included? Since 2020, this car stops moving forward, and attempts to stall after a complete stop in traffic. I have to feather the gas pedal to reingage the engine, and get the car out of danger. It is an ongoing situation. I am the only driver of the car, and would never letanyone else drive it, due to this. I happens very regularly.

The vehicle sometimes is stalled during the red light stop. Both engine fuel light and battery light will come up. After several attempt to restart the engine, it will run again. I know there was fuel pump recall on 2017 Accord, but it's not on my sport model. So, I think it might be affect to my car too.

The first instance occurred 04 Apr 2018, where while driving the car shutoff; I was able to coast to shoulder of road. After a brief amount of time I was able to restart, but it occurred again while heading to dealer location. The dealer blamed the malfunction on bad gas and could not replicate. (see R.O. 767659). 2nd occurrence was 25 May 2018 again. I was in an traffic light intersection and was able to coast through and get to side of road. Called dealer and their recommendation was to have car towed to dealership. They finally agreed there was a serious problem and replaced fuel pump assy. see (R.O. 773135 attached). I recvd 1st recall notice 20 Mar 2024 (parts unavail). I recvd 2nd recall notice Oct 2024. On visit to dealer they stated no repairs will be done unless symptoms occur. Since then I have been hesitant to drive car any distance. This situation could have deadly consequences if it occurs during high speed traffic. Only indicator inside car is "check engine" light. FUEL INJECTORS FAILED ON TWO OCCASIONS CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO LOSE POWER AND STALL WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS.TO MY KNOWLEDGE THE PARTS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE FOR INSPECTION. OUR SAFETY WAS PUT AT RISK DUE THE LOSS OF POWER ON THE HIGHWAY. AFTER THE SECOND REPORTED INCIDENT, THE DEALER DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM AND REPLACED THE FAULTY FUEL INJECTORS. TO MY KNOWLEDGE, ONLY THE REPAIRING DEALER INSPECTED THE VEHICLE. THE "CHECK ENGINE" LIGHT APPEARED AS THE ENGINE BEGAN TO LOSE POWER.

I WAS STOPPED ON A CITY STREET AT A RED LIGHT AND REAR ENDED BY A DRUNK DRIVER GOING 45+MPH. THE DRIVERS SEAT BACK FAILED UPON COLLISION AND WAS THRUST BACK ON THE REAR PASSENGER SEAT. The contact owns a 2017 Honda Accord. The contact stated that while driving, the vehicle inadvertently slowed down and stalled with several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that the high-pressure fuel pump needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was towed back to the local dealer where it was diagnosed there was a failure with the wires. Additionally, the engine fan and the other fuel pump needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 44,000. Consumer stated faulty high pressure fuel pump was the cause of the engine stalling. Consumer has another 2017 Honda Accord that is exhibiting the same issue. Consumer has been informed by American Honda that consumer needs to have it diagnosed at a Honda Dealership.

I have a 2017 Honda Accord, which I purchased new from the dealer. On May 8, 2021, when pulling into my parking space with my foot on the brake, the car suddenly, violently accelerated, jumping the parking curb, crossing the sidewalk, knocking down (1) bush and crashing into another bush when the car finally stopped. I narrowly misses a large tree, the A/C unit in front of my condominium and was very close to running into the exterior wall of my unit. I was pressing the brake the entire time. I immediately put the car in reverse. The bumper needed to be repaired and I was terrified! I researched online to see if anyone else had experienced this sudden acceleration event (SAE) and found a list of 35 other drivers who had experienced the identical SAE while pulling into a parking space. The other incidents indicated that Honda could not find anything wrong with the vehicles, even though this has been a continual complaint. Failure dates were indicated from 2013 - May, 2021 for 2012-2019 Honda Accords. I notified Honda.com of the incident and was assigned a case number but have not received any other communication from them. I made a service appointment at the Honda dealer and was told that I had to wait until June 10th when a Honda engineer would be available to inspect the vehicle and see if they can identify and correct this potentially lethal automotive defect.

I CONTACTED DAVIS HONDA AND THEY SENT A TOW TRUCK TO TRANSPORT IT FOR SERVICE. AS OF THIS DATE, DAVIS HONDA WILL BE TOWING THE HONDA ACCORD BACK TO MY ADDRESS IN MT. LAUREL, NJ. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT COULD NOT DUPLICATE ANY OF THE INCIDENTS, SO I CONTACTED HONDA AMERICA AND OPENED UP A CASE. AFTER NUMEROUS CALLS TO CORPORATE, THEY INDICATED NO ISSUES WERE FOUND WITH HIS 2017 HONDA ACCORD AND I HAD TO TAKE THE CAR BACK. The vehicle turn off and on while driving on the highway, is like the engine stall while driving, increasing the risk of a crash or injury. I'm aware there's no recall on my vehicle, however, it's a known issue that Honda had voluntarily recall approximately 2.6 million 2017-2020 Honda vehicles in the United States to replace their fuel pumps, for free due to a similar issue. I have experience this issue of the vehicle shutting down then on while driving in the last couple of weeks and it's increasing each day. The accord was bought for my son to use, if he encounter an accident due to this fuel pump issue and he lose his life, someone would have to be held accountable.

On Thursday July 14, while driving on HWY 278, the car had a sudden failure and starting decelerating. It almost got me and my daughter who was riding with me at the time killed. Only the grace of God protected us!!! I managed to get the car to the Honda dealer (DCH Academy Honda #708, Old Bridge, NJ). They informed me that the fuel pump failed and needed to change. The problem appeared all of a sudden and there was no warning at all. The car is being maintained regularly. This seems to be a manufacturing problem in the fuel pump for Honda Accord 2017 and it needs to be addressed. Again this almost got me killed!!!!!!

I LUCKILY WAS ABLE TO ALLOW MY CAR TO SLOW DOWN NATURALLY AND GET OFF AT A REST STOP (MONMOUTH REST AREA, AND FORCE PULL THE EMERGENCY BRAKE TO A STOP AND PUT MY CAR IN PARK. IT WAS REALLY A SCARY SITUATION ON A VERY BUSY HIGHWAY TO HAVE YOUR BRAKES NOT WORK AT ALL. I WAS ADVISED IT COULD BE A LIE BATTERY INDICATOR OF THE ELECTRONIC SYSTEM THAT IS ALL CONNECTED TO EVEN THE BRAKES. IT IS HIGHLY DANGEROUS THAT AN ELECTRICAL GLITCH OR MALFUNCTION CAN COMPLETELY DISABLE MY BRAKING SYSTEM AND ALL OTHER SAFETY FEATURES.

WE RECENTLY PURCHASED A 2017 HONDA ACCORD EX-L V6 AT A DEALERSHIP IN DULUTH GEORGIA. WE TRADED A 2007 HONDA ACCORD AFTER HAVING HAD AN EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE WITH IT. THIS NEARLY NEW VEHICLE IS DIFFERENT FROM THE 2007. IT IS MOSTLY GOOD BUT I DISCOVERED WHAT I CONSIDER A SAFETY ISSUE. WHEN THE BRAKE IS APPLIED, TO REDUCE SPEED OR COME TO A FULL STOP, THERE IS NEARLY A HALF SECOND DELAY AFTER LIFTING YOUR FOOT FROM THE BRAKE PEDAL BEFORE THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL BECOMES FUNCTIONAL. IF YOU HAPPENED TO DEPRESS THE ACCELERATOR PRIOR TO THE END OF THE DELAY, THE VEHICLE LURCHES FORWARD AND YOU COULD IMPACT THE VEHICLE AHEAD OF YOU, OR IF YOU ARE MOVING FORWARD AND BRAKE AGAIN TO OFFSET THE FORWARD LURCH, THE VEHICLE BEHIND YOU COULD ASSUME YOU WERE MOVING FORWARD AND REAR END YOU BECAUSE YOU BRAKED UNEXPECTEDLY. WE FINANCED A 2017 HONDA ACCORD SPORT CVT ON JULY 17, 2017. WE HAVE NOTICED VARIOUS ISSUES WITH THE LAG/HESITATION UPON ACCELERATING AS WELL AS BRAKING AND STEERING. WE SEARCHED ONLINE TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE WAS EXPERIENCING THE SAME ISSUES AND FOUND MULTIPLE COMPLAINTS REVOLVING AROUND THIS MODEL VEHICLE. LESS THAN 11,000 MILES, WE NOTICED THE FRONT PASSENGER BRAKES WERE GETTING REALLY LOW AND WEARING UNEVENLY COMPARED TO THE OTHER THREE, I.E. SCREECHING; WHICH WAS ODD AND CONCERNING SINCE IT HAD 11,000 MILES AND ONLY ONE SIDE WAS WORN DOWN. DECEMBER 2017, THE PASSENGER FRONT BRAKES BECAME SO LOW, WHEN APPLYING THE BRAKES THERE WAS A METAL ON METAL, GRINDING NOISE. WE VISUALLY INSPECTED THE BRAKES AND COULD SEE THE BRAKE PADS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE WERE ALMOST NON-EXISTENT, AS WELL AS THE WEAR ON THE ROTORS. WE TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP WHERE WE PURCHASED THE VEHICLE ON 12-12-17 AND THEY CLAIMED THE BRAKE PADS WERE WEARING EVENLY/NORMAL; THE OTHER SERVICE STATION AT THIS LOCATION AGREED THAT ITS NOT NORMAL FOR THE CAR THE HAVE LESS THAN 12000 MILES FOR THE FIRST BRAKE PADS TO BE CHANGED LET ALONE WORN UNEVENLY. THE CONCERN WASN'T THE BRAKE PADS BEING CHANGED, IT IS THE MECHANICAL FUNCTION OF THE PISTON AND CALIPER WAS CAUSING THE PROBLEM, OR ANOTHER UNDERLYING ISSUE; HAVING LESS THAN 12,000 MILES ISN'T RIGHT. THEY DIDN'T CARE, THOUGHT WE WANTED BRAKES CHANGED FOR FREE. WE FILED A CLAIM WITH HONDA REGARDING THE SAFETY AND WEAR OF THE BRAKES. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE BRAKE PADS,TURNED THE ROTATORS. THE PROBLEM IS STILL THERE AND THE PISTON GETTING "HUNG" MAY BE THE UNDERLINING REASON FOR WHY THE CAR LAGS WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE. IF IT IS DEPRESSED, ITS POSSIBLE THE BRAKES ARE WEARING DOWN WHILE ACCELERATING. SAFETY IS OUR FIRST CONCERN, AND WE FEEL THERE IS A DEEPER PROBLEM THAT SHOULD BE LOOKED AT. ON [XXX] my car while driving suddenly reported ABS brake system failure, together with that other warnings flashed Adaptive cruise, PS System (EPS) failure etc. With difficulty I was able to stop the car and pull over. Same day I called Honda service HQ and lodged a complaint Case number [XXX]. The car has 57,478 miles and is properly maintained. Honda suggested that I drive the car over to a dealership. I am unwilling to drive due to serious safety concerns. Another followup email was sent on July 8th to [email protected] but has resulted in no response. I am a [XXX] and even though its a serious safety incidence, Honda has shown no signs of concern . Please advise and help me out, the company should get it towed and fix the issue free of charge. On [XXX] the car was being drive from North Carolina to Ohio. The brakes failed in Fort Chiswell, VA, at 5:00 pm on [XXX]. Using the brake pedal did not slow the car, had to put gear selector in B, that slowed the car but did not bring it to a stop. Had to use the emergency brakes to come to a complete stop. This malfunction could cause a crash or could cause injury or death. The brakes failed a second time the tollbooth between Princeton, WV, and Beckley, WV. On [XXX] the car was towed to the Honda dealership in Beckley WV. The dealership worked on the brakes and claimed to have fixed the problem. On [XXX], after one hour of driving, now in Charleston, WV, the brakes failed a third time. The car was turned off and then back on and driven and the brakes failed a fourth time. The car was towed to the Honda dealership in Charleston WV. The dealership was told that the problem occurs after driving the car for an hour or so. The dealership was not willing to drive the car that long to replicate the problem. There is a Honda Service Bulletin [XXX] that pertains to a similar brake problem on this vehicle. The dealership did not appear to be aware of the service bulletin. On Sunday, March 30th, while driving on the highway, the car jerked and a hard vibration was felt before the engine died. The orange engine light flashed two or three times on the instrument panel but that was it. The owners manual states that a flashing orange engine light indicates a misfire. No other lights prior to that moment had illuminated on the instrument panel. The car is a 2017 Accord Sport with approximately 101k miles. Purchased in November 2021, this is the first time there’s ever been a problem and my car is maintained regularly. The car was towed to a local mechanic and I was told there was a misfire on cylinder 3, the valve spring is broken, the valve is bent, and the timing chain is loose. I was told I need a new engine. I don’t understand what happened because there was no warning or indication that anything was wrong. The safety concern is that the car died while driving on the highway and the vibration and jerking was scary trying to control the car while traveling at high speeds. I called Honda directly and I was told that my vin isn’t included in any recalls so there’s nothing they can do to help. I know there was a service bulletin in 2019 for the cam chain tensioner but I don’t know if this car was serviced since I bought it in 2021. I can’t afford to replace the engine and I’m still making payments. My VIN isn’t included with the fuel pump or oil pump recalls despite now including the L4 2.0 engines. This is my third Honda and I’ve never had anything like this happen before. The customer service rep said there was nothing they could do to help after confirming that my vin wasn’t included in any of the recalls. I had the car towed to a Honda dealership earlier this week for a deeper look into how and why this happened and the tech said the engine suffered a catastrophic failure. He also stated that he’s never seen anything like this before - referring to the broken valve spring. Valve springs are not wear and tear items.

Four lights appeared simultaneously in my dash. It drives fine, just had brakes and rotors replaced, have new tires, the dealership is saying it’s the ABS module that needs replaced and this part alone without labor costs $2200. I have researched and this is an extremely common issue with these Hondas. My vehicle has under 50,000 miles and is in great condition, it’s not feasible that this should be from wear and tear. And it’s occurring with many others of this model and a range of years of these with Honda.

Currently own a 2017 Honda Accord Sport just over 100k miles, regularly maintained and serviced. All of a sudden my vehicle takes longer to start and the most shocking issue is that I was driving to work as normal and when I went to accelerate onto the interstate my vehicle suddenly started jerking and it seemed as though my vehicle was not getting fuel even though I was pressing the accelerator. I had to get off the interstate as I was almost hit by other vehicles merging onto the interstate. It is very frustrating that other trims of Accords are included in the recall except this model. This recall needs to be revised to reflect all models for all owners. I literally almost lost my life due to this.

The V6 version is under recall. However, this vehicle should be as well. The car fails to accelerate. My car was at the Honda Dealership for over ten days. I came in because my car was unexpectedly unable to accelerate. Honda advised me there wasn't a code but I needed a new battery and other maintenance. I picked up my car, and within 1 mile, I could not accelerate when exiting and was nearly in an accident. Honda advised me at first the car had a misfire and then was unable to duplicate the error. I advised them that it was a safety hazard to drive the vehicle, and if I leave the shop and get into an accident it would be their fault. The next day they said it was a valve issue, and now fuel injectors. I did a search online, and many Honda Accords 2017 owners have the same issue.

I was driving my vehicle and it began displaying messages that my collision mitigation system, road departure mitigation system, adaptive cruise control system, and lane keep assist system all have problems. Simultaneously, my backup camera has ceased working. This is causing my vehicle to randomly lurch forward without being propelled by me, which is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! All of these issues/codes began at the exact same time and it seems this is a widespread problem with Honda Accords manufactured around this year based on prior reports on this site, recalls to subsequent models, and other information publicly available on the internet. When will we get the same recall that has been offered to other models? My vehicle only has 58,000 miles and change on it. There's no reason for it to be functioning in this manner other than its defective manufacturing.

I HAVE STARTED NOTICING ENGINE ACCELERATION LAG, A TIRE/WHEEL NOISE FROM DRIVER FRONT/REAR SIDE. THE NOISE WAS VERY NOTICEABLE SINCE IT FELT LIKE THE TIRE/WHEEL WAS RUBBING AGAINST EACH OTHER SOMEWHERE. THE NOISE CAN BE HEARD DRIVING AT THE SPEED OF 15-30MPH HAVING THE WINDOW ROLL DOWN. JUNE 4TH, 2018 MADE A APPOINTMENT WITH PURCHASING DEALERSHIP YONKERS HONDA TO HAVE THE CAR CHECKED. HOWEVER THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE, SO I TEST DROVE WITH MECHANIC AND PROVED MY CASE. AFTER HEARING THE NOISE, THEY KEPT THE CAR TO FIX THE ISSUE AND WHEN I WENT TO PICK UP THE CAR THE NOISE WAS BACK AGAIN. 2017 Honda Accord V6; Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) Module went bad and it needs to be replaced but Honda is unable to provide quick fix or a replacement part because it is backordered and they don't know when they'll have it in stock even when I am willing to pay for it upfront. This is causing my car to go out of control on wet roundabouts or when merging from interstate to local roads w/ good Tires condition and within speed limit.

ALL AT ONCE, THE CAR'S CONTROL AND STEERING COULD NOT BE EASILY MANEUVERED AND ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEM (EPS) INDICATOR LIGHT FLASHED. THERE WAS NO WARNING NOR INDICATION THAT THE STEERING WAS COMPROMISED. I MANAGED TO REGAIN CONTROL OF THE CAR WHILE ALLOWING IT TO COAST. THE STEERING WILL WAS STIFF AND LARGE AMOUNTS OF TURNING DID NOT NOT CONTROL THE CAR ACCURATELY. I COASTED TO A STOP IN A NEARBY PARKING LOT AND PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TURNED OFF THE IGNITION. WHEN THE CAR WAS RESTARTED, THE EPS LIGHT WAS NOT PRESENT AND THE STEERING CONTROL WAS REESTABLISHED. THINKING THIS WAS POSSIBLE DUE TO A GLITCH, I CONTINUED DRIVING FOR ABOUT TWO MILES WHEN THE SYSTEM ONCE AGAIN WENT OUT AND THE EPS LIGHT SIGNALED AT THE SAME TIME. I WAS NOT ABLE TO MOVE THE CAR OFF OF THE HIGHWAY, BUT WAS ABLE TO STOP AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT TO PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND TURN IT OFF TO RESET THE SYSTEM. I WAS ABLE TO THEN DRIVE THE CAR HOME. THE NEXT MORNING, WHILE DRIVING TO THE CAR DEALERSHIP, THE STEERING BECAME UNCONTROLLABLE AND A BASIC TURN COULD NOT BE MADE WHEN THE CAR WAS AT A LOW SPEED. I EXPLAINED THAT THE CAR COULD NOT BE SAFELY OPERATED DUE TO THIS ISSUE. THE DEALERSHIP CALLED HOURS LATER TO NOTIFY ME THAT THEY WERE ORDERING A NEW POWER STEERING RACK. WHEN I INQUIRED AS TO WHAT THE ISSUE WAS I WAS INFORMED THAT THE CODE SIMPLY RECOMMENDED THE SYSTEM TO BE RESET, BUT "THEY DID NOT FEEL SAFE" ALLOWING ME TO DRIVE THE CAR WITHOUT REPLACING THE SYSTEM. MY CAR HAS APPROXIMATELY 16,000 MILES ON IT AND I HAVE ONLY HAD THE CAR FOR ONE YEAR. IT WAS PURCHASED FROM THE DEALERSHIP WITH 5,000 MILES ON IT AS THE MANAGER HAD BEEN DRIVING THE CAR FOR APPROX. 7 MONTHS. THE CAR HAD THE 15,000 MILE SERVICE COMPLETED JUST LAST MONTH IN ADDITION TO AN OIL CHANGE.

There is a recall for 2018 model Honda Accords. NHTSA Recall 18V-629 This specific complaint is for 2013-2017 models as well. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 111 - Rear visibility. Due to a software error, the center display assembly that normally displays the rearview image may not provide the rearview image when the vehicle is reversing. Failure to display the rearview image may reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. There wasn’t an accident. My ABS module has went out. Which has the traction control light, break light, power steering light, tire light, and ABS light all on, on my dash. After a lot of research it is a known issue in models from 2008-2017 so I feel like there should be a recall on this before something happens. I was driving down the hwy going about 50 when I seen a car pull out of a side road. I had to slam on break and my traction control didn’t work at all. I slid all over the road. Luckily I was able to stop before hitting the car, but the traction control made me go all over the road. This is a problem!

When I purchased my car from AutoNation Honda Clearwater, I immediately faced several issues. The first problem was with the TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System). As soon as the error appeared, I contacted the dealership. They informed me that it was covered under warranty and that I could visit any Honda service center to have it fixed. However, when I went to another authorized Honda service center, they refused to perform the repair, even though TPMS is a legally required safety system. In addition, I had reported the following issues to the dealership soon after purchase: 1. The driver’s seat is torn. 2. The passenger power seat is not functioning. 3. The air conditioning system makes a “burping” noise. Most importantly, the dealership failed to provide a lug nut key at the time of delivery. This became a serious issue when I had a flat tire during travel. When roadside assistance arrived, they informed me that the car required a special lug nut key that should have been provided by the dealer. Because of this missing item, the car had to be towed, which cost me $700. When I contacted AutoNation Honda Clearwater about this, they claimed they did not have my original key and later sent me a replacement key that did not fit. Their response was unhelpful and dismissive. I believe this situation reflects negligence and poor customer service from the dealership. I am requesting appropriate action and compensation for the towing expense and the unresolved issues that should have been addressed under warranty.

While pulling into a parking spot my car unexpectedly accelerated. Brakes were unresponsive even after placing both feet on the brake pedal. Vehicle stopped only after I hit a tree. Engine continued to rev at which point I placed the vehicle in park and shut off the engine. Although the impact of the crash was severe my 1airbag did not deploy.

On Friday, [XXX], while leaving a McDonald’s in Charlotte, NC, my car began to slow down and for different lights came on on my dashboard. I was unable to go over 45 miles per hour but was able to get my car to my sisters home that was a few miles away from where I started having car trouble. I was able to have the car towed to Hendrick Honda in Charlotte NC where they determined my car’s high pressure fuel pump went out. There are recalls on other 2017 Honda Accords but not mine. Vehicle ABS malfunctioning making some dashboard lights come on. A bunch of random codes in the readers makes it hard to identify the issue. Codes are not specific and a bunch of other components need to be tested/replaced before realizing the actual main issue causing the owner spend a ridiculous amount of money and time. Only dissappear if ABS module is replaced which is hard to find(up to two years of wait) unless bought used which also comes with the same risk of failing prematurely. This problem messes up with the vehicle traction in raw weather conditions, as well as braking, steering, and overall safety of the occupants.

About 3 months ago, the emergency brake light, traction control light, ABS light and power steering light started coming off and on, they now stay on all the time. I took and had it checked, CODE 121-11 for the VSA Solenoid Valve Malfunction. Had it checked for a program update I was told that there wasn't an update and the part to fix it has been on backorder from Honda for at least two years. (I notified Honda about this) I have a very strange sound when applying the brakes on a cold start and I can also feel a jerk in the brake pedal. Also noticed that oil is leaking around the engine cover and was told that it is a manufacturing issue with Honda. The cover is plastic and over the years, the plastic shrinks and causes a small oil leak. Replacing the cover and gasket would fix this.

I received an indication on my dash that there was an issue with the SRS system. I took the vehicle to a certified Honda dealership for diagnostic treatment and it was determined that the wires on the passenger seat had been rubbing on the track that the seat slides on and consequently tore the SRS wires near the passenger seat belt causing a failure in the restraint system.

I have a 2017 Honda accord, just a little over 5 years old and 73K miles. It has never been in a car accident and I bought it new from the dealer. Last month I started to have lights that showed my lane assist, adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation system, and road departure mitigation system were not functioning. I took my car to the dealer and was initially told that it was an SRS unit failure. Later, they changed and said the SRS unit is fine but the camera is damaged. Honda is considering this normal wear/tear and will not cover this repair even though the car has never been in an accident. The car will not pass inspection unless this is fixed. The airbags will not deploy until this is fixed and the car is therefore dangerous to drive. The camera is on back order and it will be at least a month before it can be repaired.

WHEN I WAS GOING TO WORK I NOTICE RIDE SIDE LED LIGHT WAS OFF HALF WAY AND WHEN I TURN THE CAR DID NOTICE RIGHT BULB WAS OUT AND I HAD REPLACE ONE SIDE ALREADY. WHEN I TRY TO FIX THE BULB IS DID TURN ONAS IT SEEM THAT IS WAS LOOSE BUT THEN CAR TURN OFF. AFTER THIS INCIDENT BATTERY WAS DRAIN. I have had two major issues with my 2017 Honda Accord sport since buying it brand new that the Honda dealership will do nothing about even though I’ve specifically been told twice on two separate occasions that the car was manufactured defected. My mitigation systems has failed multiple times where it just stops responding losing control of the steering and accelerating on its own. One of those times caused me to run off the highway into the ditch. It just randomly iluminates all “mitigation systems failure” at the most random times. Another thing is the ridiculous tire issues I’ve had with this vehicle. I have put brand new set, after set, after set on this car. On two occasions atleast one my brand new tires lasted less then two weeks after purchasing due to extreme wear on the inside of the tires. Two different automotive mechanics have told me I can’t even have my car aligned due to the way it was manufactured they would have to completely swap out major components of my steering and suspension to do so. I believe they said it’s the drive line or drive shaft is to large for the car and it’s the cause of all my tire issues and steering issues

The contact owns a 2017 Honda accord. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH and changing lines, while attempting to accelerate, the vehicle hesitated and lost motive power. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that a valve adjustment was needed. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who stated that the fuel injectors were working as designed. The contact stated the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V060000 (Fuel System, Other) however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not contacted. The approximate failure mileage was 106,000.

FAILURE TO DISPLAY THE REARVIEW IMAGE. There is a recall for 2018 model Honda Accords. NHTSA Recall 18V-629 This specific complaint is for 2013-2017 models as well. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 111 - Rear visibility. Due to a software error, the center display assembly that normally displays the rearview image may not provide the rearview image when the vehicle is reversing. Failure to display the rearview image may reduce visibility and increase the risk of a crash. Based on my research the same software bug is affecting the earlier models as well. I was pulling my car forward into a parking spot in my apartment complex with my foot on the brake. I was about three quarters of the way into the spot when I suddenly felt the car lurch forward at what felt like a high rate of speed. The car lurched forward over the sidewalk and was stopped by two parked cars and a light pole. My car was moving slowly as I pulled in the spot before the sudden acceleration.

The rear camera system/speaker periodically gives a screeching static sound which was so unbearable until Team Honda (Lafayette, LA) had to disconnect the entire system. I researched this issue and conclude it must be a factory defect because 1) due to the low mileage and infrequent usage of this vehicle 2) the commonalities among other 2017 Honda Accord Drivers with the same issues who are from different regions, and because the speaker works when I plug in my iphone. Team Honda wants me to pay $1200 to install a new one because the original factory system is out of warranty. Should the manufacturer be liable for any parts of this system ? Should I have to pay the cost for a defective vehicle and jeopardize my safety and be left without a radio for safety information, camera, and a GPS? This is not my first Honda and had no issues with the previous one which is another reason why I know this is not human error. Can you please investigate this and share with me your findings. I paid $99 for them to disconnect my audio visual system on my car and received no explanation about the error. Thanks.

The car is stalling on the highway out of nowhere. Car won’t start back up for about 20 minutes. Car completely shuts off during traffic. Almost caused a big wreck with an 18 wheeler because I was unable to move the car out the middle lane because it shut off. Causing false codes to pop up. Very dangerous situation with my three small children in the car.

My 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid was having an issue where several warning lights would light up on the dashboard, so I took it in to Auburn Honda, located at 1801 Grass Valley Hwy, Auburn, CA 95603, to get the car serviced under warranty. They made the necessary repair, which was the replacement of a battery component and I picked up the car on 2/2/21. After about 45 minutes of driving the car with no stops immediately after picking up the car, the warning lights returned and the car suddenly shut off. When I tried to restart the car, smoke billowed from the rear. Shortly thereafter, the entire car was engulfed in flames. This incident occurred more than a year ago and ever since I have been trying to get the proper individual or individuals to accept responsibility for this incredibly dangerous and costly incident, for which we have still received NO compensation. My insurance provider, Atlantic Casualty, and Auburn Honda's insurance provider, Federated Insurance, both sent out fire inspectors of their own accord and they concluded that the battery malfunctioning caused the fire. At this time, the car was at Auburn Honda and the inspection was conducted there. My most recent step and what has led me to file this complaint is that I made a claim months ago with American Honda Motor Corporation on the advice of Auburn Honda to find a resolution to this incident. They have been uncooperative and refuse to accept that the fire was caused by the battery. After the car was moved to a junk yard and almost a year had passed from the date of the incident, they sent out their own fire inspector who concluded that the cause of the fire was not the battery. This is on a car that has already been inspected and changed hands and locations several times at this point. They refuse to accept responsibility despite the fact that two independent fire inspectors already concluded that the cause WAS the battery, which is supplied and approved by American Honda Motor Corporation.

Twice in the past month the steering has frozen on my 2017 Honda Accord hybrid, making it nearly impossible to turn the wheel manually. Fortunately on both occasions we were driving at low speeds on city streets and could pull over or drive slowly to a destination. There were no warnings that the steering was about to freeze, but both times the automatic lane departure light came on. In the second instance I was driving on a narrow street and I was not outside of my narrow lane or I would have hit the curb or oncoming cars. The car was checked once by a highly regarded mechanic who could find nothing wrong with the steering or electronic system. This was one day after the first incident and the steering worked normally on the short ride to the mechanic. The car has now been at the dealer's service center. I am concerned that the car is not safe to drive.

If the car sits idle for more than 4 days, the battery dies. The car has 60,000 miles and we are replaced the battery once and it continues to die if it sits for more than 4 days. The car pulls to the right side regardless of how many times I have it balanced. The LED day running light on the driver side front died when the car only had 50,000 miles on it.

PART NUMBER39530-T2A-A31 REPAIR COST $550 HONDA DESIGNED A DEFICIENT PLASTIC CLIP TO HOLD THE REAR CAMERA IN PLACE ON THE CAR TRUNK. AFTER NORMAL USE OPENING AND CLOSING THE TRUNK THE CLIP BREAKS AND THE ENTIRE UNIT MUST BE REPLACED. AFTER 23,000 DRIVEN MILES (44 MONTHS) THE CLIP BROKE AND I SPENT $550 TO REPAIR IT. A GOOGLE SEARCH MAKES IT CLEAR THIS IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM. I WOULD LIKE TO REQUEST THE GOVERNMENT REQUIRE HONDA TO RE-ENGINEER THE REAR CAMERA MOUNT AND OFFER A 10 YEAR EXTENDED WARRANTY.

DEALER STATED TIRE BEAD IS DEFECTIVE AND TENDS TO NOT SEAL WITH 19IN FACTORY RIMS. APPARENTLY LOWERING THE TIRE PRESSURE FROM 51PSI TO 40PS/I MAKES /PROBLEM OR NOISE GO AWAY. IN MY CASE THE NOISE RETURNED A WEEK AFTER DEALERSHIP (HONDA WORLD, WESTMINSTER, CA) ADDED TIRE BEAD SEALANT TO FRONT LEFT DRIVER SIDE TIRE. I FILED A COMPLAINT WITH HONDA CORPORATE OFFICE IN TORRANCE, CA ON 9/27/19 WHO REPORTED TIRES WERE NOT COVERED IN 36K WARRANTY. THIS COULD ALSO BE A WHEEL/RIM PROBLEM OR OTHER SUSPENSION PROBLEM. THE RIM AND TIRES APPARENTLY ARE TO HEAVY FOR CAR. CAR WAS PURCHASED NEW WITH THESE TIRES AND RIMS FROM FACTORY. IT IS RARE THAT A TIRE WILL PRODUCE A METAL ON METAL GRINDING NOISE. IT IS MY EXPECTATION THAT THE NTSB TAKE THIS ISSUE SERIOUS AS IT PRESENTS A SERIOUS ISSUE IF TIRE BLOWS UP OR TIRE BEAD DEFORMS. THE DEALER DECLINED TO FIX PROBLEMS AND BLAMED ISSUE ON TIRES. I HAVE RESEARCHED THE INTERNET AND I AM FINDING THAT THIS IS A COMMON ERROR ON THE 2016 HONDA'S AND NEWER. THE EMISSION ERROR SYSTEM HAS COME ON AGAIN. THE LAST TIME I HAD THIS PROBLEM THE CONVERTER HAD TO BE REPLACED. THE SYSTEM ERROR COMES ON WHEN DRIVING WHEN RAINING, WHICH MAKES ME BELIEVE THAT THERE IS ALSO A ELECTRICAL PROBLEM AS WELL. I FIND THIS CONCERNING ON A NEW, 100 PERCENT DEALER MAINTAINED VEHICLE. THERE IS OBVIOUSLY AN ELECTRICAL/EMISSION PROBLEM IN THE SYSTEM AND IT REQUIRES AN INDEPENDENT PARTY TO REVIEW. PASSENGER SIDE DAY TIME RUNNING LIGHT STOPPED WORKING APPROX 50K MILES WENT TO BIGISLAND HONDA THE PARTS DEPARTMENT REPRESENTATIVE QUOTED ME $2K $1500 FOR THE LIGHT AND $500 TO INSTALL THAN SOON AFTER IDLER TENSIONER STARTED MAKING A WEIRD GRINDING NOISE WENT ONLINE TO RESEARCH THESE 2 PROBLEMS AND BOTH ARE VERY COMMON PROBLEMS WITH THESE MODEL HONDA ACCORDS OTHER THAN THESE PROBLEMS THIS IS A GREAT CAR BUT I DON'T KNOW IF I'LL EVER BUY A HONDA ACCORD AGAIN BASICALLY LEFT STRANDED WITH NO HELP FROM THE BIGISLAND HONDA THE DEALERSHIP I BOUGHT IT FROM. THEY BASICALLY TOLD ME I'M SORRY IT'S WAY OUT OF THE WARRANTY MILEAGE AND THERE'S NOTHING THEY CAN DO. I GOOGLED TO SEE HOW MUCH PEOPLE HAS THE SAME ISSUE IT'S LITERALLY THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITH HONDA ACCORDS. HONDA SHOULD STEP UP THERE GAME OR THERE GOING TO LOOSE A LOT OF CUSTOMERS OVER THE NEXT UPCOMING YEARS. HONDA OF AMERICA PLEASE PUT A RECALL AND FIX THESE ISSUES BEFORE IT TURNS INTO A EPIDEMIC THANKS.

MY HONDA ACCORD 2017 4 CYN ALL OF DASH BOARD LIGHTS LIT UP, THE STEERING WHEEL PARTIALLY LOCKED WHILE I WAS DRIVING GOING 55 MPH. I PULLED OVER AND COULDN'T CUT THE CAR OFF WITH MY START BUTTON. AFTER ABOUT 5 MINUTES I WAS ABLE TO FINALLY CUT IT CUT OFF. THEN IT WOULD NOT START AT ALL. THEN AFTER ANOTHER 5 MINUTES IT STARTED AND I WENT STRAIGHT TO THE CAR DEALERSHIP JANUARY 2019. ABOUT SEVEN MONTHS EARLIER, MY CAR WOULD START AT ALL. I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG. THEY TOLD ME ONLY THING IT MIGHT BE WAS THE BATTERY, I BOUGHT A BATTERY AND MY CAR WAS ONLY 11 MONTHS OLD. RECENTLY, FEBRUARY 2019, NOW MY BATTERY IS 7 MONTHS OLD, MY CAR WOULDN'T START AGAIN. THEY CAN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH MY CAR, BUT I AM HAVING ISSUES. THERE HAVE BEEN TIMES WHEN I START MY CAR AND THE DASH LIGHTS DO NOT COME ON AND I HOLD THE BUTTON ON THE DASH AND THE SYSTEM REBOOT AND THE DASH LIGHT COME ON. MY CAR IS AT THE DEALERSHIP AND NOW IT IS STARTING, BUT THE SAID EVERYTHING IS REGISTERING THAT NOTHING IS WRONG. I HAVE AN HUGE ISSUE BECAUSE I CAN'T BE STRAINED IN THIS COLD WINTER WEATHER AND MY CAR NOT STARTING. BLIND SPOT ASSIST CAMERA IS A DISTRACTION AND FLICKERS DUE TO OTHER VEHICLE HEADLIGHTS AT NIGHT. HUGE DISTRACTION CAN BE DANGEROUS, NOT AN EFFECTIVE SAFETY FEATURE. DRIVER SIDE WINDOW DOESN'T CLOSE. EVEN AFTER 5 ATTEMPTS THE DRIVER SIDE WINDOW STARTS TO CLOSE AND HALF WAY REOPENS. ALL WINDOWS CLOSE NOTICEABLY SLOWER. DEALERSHIP CAN'T REPLICATE ISSUE SO NO REPAIR. STILL HAVE THE ISSUE, EVEN WHEN PARKED THE WINDOW DOESN'T CLOSE.

BRAKE CALIPER RETAINING CLIPS APPEAR TO BE INCORRECTLY INSTALLED OR POORLY DESIGNED. THIS HAS A TRAIL OF PROBLEMS COMPILING AT A QUICK PACE. THE BRAKE PADS DON'T TRAVEL FREELY EVEN WITH GREASE. THE OUTSIDE BRAKE PADS WILL WEAR OUT APPROXIMATELY 1-2 MILLIMETERS BEFORE THE INSIDE BRAKE PADS WEAR DOWN TO THE SQUEALER (WARNING NOISE TO LET YOU KNOW BRAKE PAD REPLACEMENT IS NEEDED). THE OTHER PADS WILL GRIND THE OUTER SURFACE OF THE ROTARS. BRAKE PADS WILL NOT RETRACT BAKE TO NORMAL POSITION AND CONSTANT FRICTION CAUSES EXCESSIVE HEAT WHICH IS CARRIED OUT THROUGH THE CALIPER PISTONS, WHEEL HUB/BEARINGS, WHEELS, SIGNIFICANT MOTOR AND TRANSMISSION DAMAGE BEING OVER WORKED. GAS MILEAGE IS CONSTANTLY IN HIGH TEENS. RARELY HAVE I EVER HIT OVER 25MPG REGARDLESS OF CITY DRIVING OUT HIGHWAY DRIVING. FIRST SIGN OF BRAKE PAD FAILURE@1ST 8,000 MILES ON VEHICLE. BRAKE FLUID IS ALREADY BURNT OR DRK BRWNISH COLOR AT 40,000 MILES. THIS CAR GENERATES MORE THAN QUESTIONABLE HEAT FROM FRONT WHEELS AFTER 10MINS OF PARKING LOT DRIVING. THIS APPEARS AS IF THE VEHICLE IS BEING DRIVING HARD AS IF I AM ABUSING THE 2.4L 4CYL ENGINE POWERING A CVT TRANSMISSION.

FIRST ISSUE I NOTICED WITH MY CAR WAS THAT WHILE DRIVING ON A FLAT ROAD IN THE MIDDLE LANE MY CAR WILL PULL SLIGHTLY TO THE LEFT. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER WHERE I PURCHASED THE CAR, GARDEN STATE HONDA IN PASSAIC NEW JERSEY, AND THEY REPORTED THE WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS WITHIN SPECIFICATIONS. I DROVE THE CAR AND THE ISSUE PERSISTED. NEXT DAY I TOOK THE CAR TO ANOTHER HONDA DEALER, DCH PARAMUS HONDA IN PARAMUS NEW JERSEY, AND AGAIN IT WAS REPORTED BY THIS DEALER THAT THE WHEEL ALIGNMENT WAS WITHIN SPECIFICATIONS. I DROVE MY CAR AFTER CONSULTING WITH THE DEALERS BUT THE PROBLEM STILL PERSIST. THE SECOND ISSUE HAPPENED WHEN THE FRONT RIGHT TIRE DEVELOPED A BUBBLE (2/3/2018. 15691 MILES) ON THE SIDE AFTER HITTING A POTHOLE ON THE HIGHWAY. I TOOK MY CAR TO GARDEN STATE HONDA REGARDING THE TIRE DAMAGE AND THEY DECLINED REPLACEMENT OF THE TIRE AND INCREASED THE TIRE PRESSURE TO 37PSI ON ALL FOUR TIRES WHICH IS ABOVE THE RECOMMENDED TIRE PRESSURE OF 33PSI FRONT TIRES, 32PSI REAR TIRES (I CHECKED THE TIRE PRESSURE IN THE MORNING) MY CAR FELT STIFFER AND VERY UNCOMFORTABLE DRIVING AFTERWARDS. MOREOVER, THE FRONT LEFT TIRE RIPPED ON THE SIDE AFTER HITTING A POTHOLE WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 25-30MPH ON LOCAL STREETS (3/30/2018). THIS IS WHEN I HAD TO BUY TWO BRAND NEW TIRES YOKOHAMA ADVAN SPORT A/S XL FOR $174.88 EACH THAT REPLACED THE FRONT TWO DAMAGED TIRES. RECENTLY (8/24/2018. 22442 MILES) THE FRONT RIGHT WHEEL BENT AFTER HITTING A POTHOLE WHILE DRIVING BETWEEN 50-55MPH ON THE HIGHWAY.

ON THE NIGHT ON JULY 3, 2017 THE 2017 HONDA ACCORD WHICH WAS ONLY 5 WEEKS OLD WAS PARKED IN THE DRIVEWAY OF MY HOUSE. THE CAR WAS IN PARK AND THE MOTOR WAS TURNED OFF. YOU WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO REMOVE THE KEY UNLESS THE CAR WAS IN PARK. THE CAR THAT WAS PARKED IN FRONT OF THE HONDA ACCORD WENT TO BACK OUT WITHOUT REALIZING A CAR WAS BEHIND IT. THE OTHER VEHICLE INVOLVED WAS A KIA OPTIMA. THE KIA OPTIMA LIGHTLY BUMPED THE HONDA ACCORD AND STOPPED AS SOON AS IT REALIZED THE HONDA WAS BEHIND IT. THERE WAS NO DAMAGE TO THE FRONT OF THE HONDA ACCORD OR TO THE BACK OF THE KIA OPTIMA. THE HONDA ACCORD WAS PARKED ON A FLAT SURFACE AT THE TIME. WHEN THE KIA HIT THE HONDA THE HONDA ROLLED DOWN THE DRIVEWAY AND HIT A LIGHT POLE. THE ENTIRE LIGHT POLE CRASHED DOWN AND BROKE. AT FIRST I THOUGHT THAT THIS WAS IMPOSSIBLE UNTIL I SAW MY NEIGHBOR'S VIDEO FOOTAGE OF THE INCIDENT. WE CONTACTED HONDA SERVICE DEPARTMENT AND OF COURSE AT FIRST THEY THOUGHT THAT WAS IMPOSSIBLE UNTIL THEY SAW THE VIDEO. AFTER A FEW DAYS HONDA GOT CORPORATE TECH SUPPORT INVOLVED AND WAS TOLD NOT TO RELEASE THE CAR BACK TO ME UNTIL THEY FOUND OUT WHAT WAS WRONG. AFTER ABOUT A WEEK HONDA TOLD ME THAT THEY WERE UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM BUT AS A "PRECAUTIONARY MEASURE" THEY WERE GOING TO REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION. THEY DID REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION BUT SAID THEY WOULD NOT PAY FOR THE DAMAGE TO THE BACK OF THE HONDA OR THE LIGHT POLE. I FEEL THAT THEY SHOULD BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DAMAGE TO THE CAR AND THE LIGHT POLE. A CAR THAT IS LIGHTLY BUMPED SHOULD NOT ROLL AWAY. IT COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH WORSE HAD A CHILD BEEN BEHIND THE CAR OR THE LIGHT POLE COULD HAVE CRASHED ONTO SOMETHING. I FEEL LIKE THEY FOUND SOMETHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION AND ARE COVERING UP FOR IT OTHERWISE IF THEY TRULY FOUND NOTHING WRONG WITH THE TRANSMISSION THEN WHY DID THEY REPLACE IT IN THE FIRST PLACE.

MY 2017 HONDA ACCORD TOURING HAS UNINTENDED BREAKING ONCE THE GAS PEDAL IS RELEASED, RATHER THAN SLOWING DOWN TO A STOP IT ABRUPTLY APPLIES THE BREAKS ON ITS ON WITHOUT ANY CAR IN SIGHT (THEREFORE IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH SAFETY FEATURE) WHETHER I AM DRIVING ON A FLAT EVEN SURFACE ROAD, UP OR DOWN A HILL. IN ORDER TO PREVENT OR MINIMIZE THE UNEXPECTED BREAKING I AM HAVING TO APPLY THE GAS TO MAINTAIN A CONSTANT VELOCITY BEFORE APPLYING THE BRAKES. EVEN IF I AM GOING 40,30, 25 MPHS AND I APPLY THE BRAKES TO GRADUALLY COME TO A STOP THE CAR IS STILL STOPPING ABRUPTLY ON ITS OWN WITH ITS UNANNOUNCED BRAKING AS IT GOES FROM 40 TO 30 AND SO FORTH AND OVERRIDING MY APPLICATION OFF APPLYING THE BRAKES. AND TO BE CLEAR IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE LEVEL OF PRESSURE APPLIED OR NOT APPLIED ON THE BRAKES, ETC. THERE IS ALSO A NOISE THAT I HAVE PICKED UP EACH TIME IT BRAKES. NOT TO MENTION THAT I HAVE ALSO DRIVEN A SIMILAR YEAR MAKE AND MODEL OF THE NEW CAR I PURCHASED AND THIS DID NOT OCCUR, SO IT'S DEFINITELY AN ISSUE WITH MY CAR (WHETHER ITS SOFTWARE RELATED, ETC.). IN ADDITION TO THIS I HAVE NOTICED THAT THE RPMS WHEN THE CAR IS IDLING WHILE ON PARK OR WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE IS HIGHER THAN NORMAL (OVER 750RPMS, WHEN IT SHOULD BE NO MORE THAN 500RPMS WHEN IDLING), WHICH MIGHT EXPLAIN WHY THE CAR IS JOLTING ON ITS OWN WHEN I RELEASE MY FOOT OFF THE BRAKE WITHOUT APPLYING THE GAS. WHEN A CAR IS DRIVEN AT A SPEED OF 40MPS, ETC MPHS AND YOU RELEASE YOUR FOOT OFF THE GAS PEDAL THE CAR IS SUPPOSED TO DECELERATE SLOWLY ON ITS OWN, NOT GO THROUGH MOMENTS WHERE IT APPLIES HARD BRAKING THEN RESUMES GRADUAL DECELERATION TO THEN AGAIN STOP ABRUPTLY, WHICH IS WHAT THIS CAR IS CONSTANTLY DOING. AFTER IT RAINED, WAS DRIVING ON HIGHWAY WHEN SUDDENLY SERIES OF ERRORS/PROBLEM MESSAGES CAME UP ON MY DASHBOARD. INCL, EMISSIONS CONTROLS SYSTEM PROBLEM, TIRE PRESSURE SYS PROB, AVOIDANCE COLLISION SYS PROB, COLLISION MITIGATION SYS PROB, POWER STEERING SYS PROB, ETC. MADE CALLS IMMEDIATELY TO HONDA CONTACTS AND GOT OFF THE FREEWAY. IT HAPPENED AS THE MAINTENANCE DEPT'S AT HONDA WERE CLOSING FOR THE WEEKEND. EXCEPT FOR THE MESSAGES THE CAR SEEMED TO BE DRIVING OKAY. STILL DROVE SLOWLY TO GET GROCERIES SO I WOULD NOT HAVE TO GO BACK OUT. AS I STARTED THE CAR AGAIN, THE POWER STEERING FAILED TO WORK; I COULD NOT TURN THE WHEEL. TRIPLE A THOUGHT THE PROBLEM WAS DUE TO WETNESS GETTING INTO THE COMPUTER SYSTEM. WHEN I STARTED THE CAR WITH HIM PRESENT, POWER STEERING STARTED WORKING AGAIN. SO, I DROVE IT HOME AGAIN VERY SLOWLY. NEXT MORNING I STARTED THE CAR TO SEE IF I WOULD STILL GET THE FAILURE MESSAGES. THEY ARE STILL THERE. TOOK VIDEO OF MESSAGES AND WILL ATTEMPT TO SCREEN CAPTURE SOME OF THE MESSAGES.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 HONDA ACCORD. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED AND THE KEY WAS IN THE CONTACT'S POCKET, ALL THE WINDOWS AND SUN ROOF OPENED INADVERTENTLY. THE CONTACT NOTICED THE ISSUE WHEN SHE WALKED OUTSIDE TO THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THERE WAS NO MENTION OF THE AUTOMATIC OPENING OF THE WINDOWS AND SUN ROOF IN THE OWNER'S MANUAL. THERE WERE NO WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED IN THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER DID NOT KNOW HOW TO DISCONNECT THE FEATURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER STATED THAT THIS FEATURE COULD NOT BE DISABLED. THE VIN WAS INVALID. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,000.
