Vehicle is consuming oil at an exceptionally fast rate. In October 2025, when taken in for an oil change and my complaint of a burning smell upon quick acceleration, the technician documented no oil was found on the dipstick. Just a month later, in November 2025, the oil level was already extremely low, the vehicle was taken back to the dealer, and an oil consumption test is currently being administered. The vehicle is scheduled for an engine replacement in January 2026 after the consumption test is concluded.

Engine oil consumption issue. I have taken the vehicle in 4 times due to this they have. Changed hoses and even the oil pan but the engine still runs out of oil. On several occasions the oil light comes on within 1000 miles of a oil change and when I check it the system is completely out of oil. This means the lubrication system is running with no oil and likely has metal particles in it. I have contacted Hyundai corporate and the issues still has not been resolved. There needs to be a recall on these engines before they start blowing up. I uploaded files of thw most recent service nov 5th and the current odometer reading and oil level. 7 days later the oil level is low.

This vehicle requires 1-2 quarts of oil to be added to it weekly. It's all over the internet that many different models of Hyundais consume excessive amounts of oil. This puts others at risk due to damaging the engine and the possibility that the car will just stop completely while driving it. We have records to show how often and how much we have to add more oil every week.
Nov 06, 2025
The car is burning oil and Hyundai advises to change the oil every 7500 miles. The car holds 5.1 qt of oil and is currently burning about 1 qt of oil for every 5,000 miles. How is this not a forced recall? People are blowing up their motors all over the country. They knew it was an issue and bought their way out of a class action lawsuit. This endangers any driver if it happens on the interstate. Hyundai/Kia are being allowed to skirt accountability with these motors.

Auto stop/go disables car’s ability to resume driving after stopping at a light etc. This is without activating feature. You have open and close door and press button on/off over and over. Turbo was changed bc mechanic assumed it was the problem. Now it is happening after reaching destination and then attempting to leave if not sitting long enough. New battery and $2000 turbo!

Dec 15, 2024
I have unusable camera in my 2019 Sante Fe, that is not included in a recent recall. Tried to find what “Problem” actually is on current recall to compare to mine. My picture is too bright and contrast ruins ability to identify objects behind me. Is the recall based on a similar problem? As your current Hyundai recall states: "An inoperative rearview camera will reduce rearward visibility while driving in reverse, increasing the risk of injury to bystanders." Local dealership has tried to fix, but after almost a month has not. Question is should recall be extended beyond current model years?
Dec 05, 2024
Rearview cameras are unusable due to high brightness and contrast issues. Seems same problem possibly as recent recall even though not in same model years. Hyundai dealership has been unable to resolve since November 6 and as recall highlights "increasing the risk of injury.." Attached photo of condition, usually worse than this photo in bright sunlight.

White paint peeling off 2019 Santa Fe since 2023 ... Hyundai says they are aware of the defective paint issue but denied any recorse or responsibility. Paint comes off while driving and reduces visibility.
May 07, 2025
I am the owner of a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe in Pearl White (paint code SWP). The paint on my vehicle has begun peeling extensively on the hood, and other exterior panels. This appears to be the same paint defect that Hyundai previously acknowledged for the 2017–2018 Santa Fe Sport under a Customer Satisfaction Program (TXXW), but the 2019 model is not covered. The paint is bubbling and lifting without any impact or damage, suggesting a manufacturing defect. This significantly affects the vehicle’s appearance and may compromise corrosion protection. Numerous other owners of 2019 Hyundai models have reported similar problems. I am requesting that NHTSA investigate this issue as a potential widespread defect and urge Hyundai to include affected model years in any extended warranty or recall efforts.

Vehicle is shuddering/jerking upon acceleration due to a defect in the 8 speed automatic transmission. This condition was reproduced by Hyundai of Plymouth, MA and documented on the repair order. Dealer states that a new transmission is required to fix this problem. Safety is at risk due to shuddering upon acceleration which causes hesitation in acceleration. My Hyundai Santa Fe is available for inspection. There should be a recall on this vehicle.
Apr 23, 2025
When accelerating the transmission slips. My mechanic said Hyundai has a memo saying they are making a new torque converter due to these problems, and I will need a new torque converter. The torque converter is on backorder and according to my mechanic, will not be available for many months; thus indicating there are many other folks with the same problem. This is very dangerous when accelerating, as the speed drops off due to the slippage, and can put me in a dangerous position if I need to accelerate to avoid a potential situation. It has also presented issues from a dead stop, pulling out into traffic, where the slippage puts me at risk. This has been going on for quite some time, and my mechanic has been doing what Hyundai memos instuct.

Transmission: yes, available upon inspection I own a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. I have brought it in for repairs on the transmission a couple of times. The check engine light has come on but the computer was not displaying the problem. I am aware that this is not uncommon for the year, make, and model. Recently, I was driving my car on a high-speed highway when the transmission went out. While suppressing the gas, the transmission slipped and would not accelerate. As cars were passing me on either side, my car decelerated and cars behind me came close to rear-ending me. Again, this was at high speeds and put my safety in jeopardy. I was finally able to find a gap in the cars and able to get to the shoulder but not after several minutes of unsafe conditions. After this incident, I brought it back to the service center and the computer analysis did display that it is an internal transmission problem. The service center has inspected the transmission. Yes, the warning lamps were displaying, first about 8 months prior. As stated previously, the actual problem was not displaying. Attached document is previous work done for transmission due to incorrect computer diagnostics.

Upon going for an oil change at Express Lube in Newton , NJ I was advised that there are multiple widespread & ongoing problems with a crack that forms in the oil pan next to the drain/fill plug. My vehicle was diagnosed with that very problem. I believe a a recall to should be done by Hyundai to replace these oil pans. Thank you

This is the second time my 2019 Hyundai Santa has suddenly veer right out of the lane. The error message was BAC Active. The dashboard turned red and the vehicle shook for a few seconds. I'm scheduled to take it back to the dealer. I have problems with the engine making noise and have been told the noise is normal.
Jan 02, 2023
Electric power steering failed after starting car and beginning drive. No power assist was present. Concurrent with this failure the instrument panel displayed warnings that Blind Spot Detection System and Lane Keeping System were not working and needed attention. Codes for the later 2 problems were sent to central computer, but no power steering error code was sent. Disconnecting battery from car nor turning car off and on had no effect on errors. Let car set idle for 3 days. Restarted car and all problems were gone. Taking car to dealer on 9/20/22 in attempt to prevent future reoccurrence.

WAS DRIVING ABOUT 30-35 MPH ON CURVY BACK ROAD WHEN SUDDENLY THE STEERING WHEEL COMPLETELY LOCKED UP. I SLAMMED ON THE BRAKES AND THE CAR WENT INTO THE ONCOMING LANE. LUCKILY THERE WAS NO TRAFFIC OR IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A HEAD ON COLLISION. AFTERWARDS THE STEERING WHEEL EXHIBITED A POPPING/THUD NOISE WHEN TURNING THE WHEEL. THE DEALERSHIP REPLACED THE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY. DIDN'T FIX THE ISSUE. THAT TOOK ALMOST A MONTH. THEN THEY REPLACED THE RACK AND THE INTERMEDIATE SHAFT. THAT STILL DIDN'T FIX THE SOUND. NOW THEY ARE REPLACING A CLOCK SPRING. THEY HAVE NO IDEA WHAT'S WRONG AND ARE JUST THROWING PARTS AT THE CAR HOPING IT'S FIXED. IT'S BEEN 44 DAYS AND GOING ON 3 REPAIRS. HYUNDAI SAYS I DON'T MEET THE REQUIREMENTS FOR A BUYBACK OR EXCHANGE AND HAVE FRANKLY BEEN EXTREMELY RUDE. I WILL NEVER TRUST THIS CAR WITH HOW THIS HAS BEEN HANDLED AND WILL NEVER BE GIVING MY BUSINESS TO THEM AGAIN.

AS I WAS DRIVING ON CURVES, THE WHEEL GOING OUT OF CONTROL PULLING TO LEFT TOWARD EMERGENCY LANE AND GETTING EXTREMELY HARD TO CONTROL BY HANDS. THE CAR WAS DRIVING GOOD UNDER 50 MILES, HOWEVER WHEN I SPEED UP TO 65 OR 70, I WAS NOT ABLE TO CONTROL THE STEERING WHEEL. DRIVER ATTENTION WARNING SETS TO HIGH" WHICH WILL CAUSE THE STEERING WHEEL TO ACTS HAPTIC TO SHAKE STEERING AS DESIGNED". I CONTACTED THE HYUNDAI CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH CASE # 16268782 ADDRESSING THE ISSUE AND REQUESTED THE COMPENSATION FOR $4,500 EACH FOR MYSELF AND MY OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS OF TWO IN THE CAR FOR EMOTIONAL STRESS, FEAR, ANGER AND ANXIETY DURING THE TRIP . THEY SEND ME A RESPONSE THAT HYUNDAI IS ONLY ABLE TO OFFER REIMBURSEMENT FOR HYUNDAI OWNERS WHICH IS ENTERPRISE RENT A CAR. TODAY, I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL FROM ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR, INDICATING THAT I SHOULD NOT CALL, EMAILS REGARDING THIS ISSUE TO ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR AREA MANAGER, AS THEY DONE THEIR PART TO TAKE THE CAR TO DEALERSHIP AND MY FUTURE EMAIL WILL BE CONSIDER AS HARASSMENTS TO THEM. WE HAVE BEEN SUFFERING FROM EMOTION STRESS, FEAR, AND ANXIETY DURING THE TRIP, AND HYUNDAI WOULD SEND A COMPENSATION TO ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR AND ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR ASKING TO NOT TO FURTHER CONTACT THEM REGARDING THIS ISSUE. PLEASE FOLLOW UP THE ISSUE WITH HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP, ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR AND MAKE SURE THE COMPENSATION MAKE TO PEOPLE WHO SUFFER FROM INCIDENT NOT THE ENTERPRISE RENTAL CAR, AND IF THEY SEND A COMPENSATION TO OWNER (RENTAL CAR), THEY WILL FORWARD IT TO ME.

AIR BAGS

At 1641, I was driving 55mph on tonganoxie rd with the right of way & no stop signed. The other driver did have a stop sign but did not yield and entered the intersection causing my vehicle to strike the middle of the passenger side and spinning my vehicle and stopped 90’ to my right facing the direction she was traveling. All of my air back opened and inflated properly, except the driver side airbag. Because of this, my head slammed into the glass window, which then threw up upper body towards the passenger side. Had I not had a seatbelt on I would have ended up there. Due to the kinetic impact to the window (airbag only inflated about 1/4 of the way) I suffered a TBI severe concussion, tore my upper ribs from the breast bone, whiplash to my neck and back. There was a recall for this EXACT vehicle and driver airbag issue but mine was not listed as being on it. It has been a month and I still have a lump and tenderness at the impact site, brain fog and severe headaches, neck and back pain causing my to out of work at leave without pay. The headaches are worsening a bad do not want anyone else hurt.

I was driving home Friday August 29th 2025 around 10:30 am on I-70 W when I began to have trouble accelerating my vehicle. There were vehicles trailing closely behind me so I increased pressure on the gas pedal. I would feel my car forcibly trying to compensate and the RPMs on the vehicle increased significantly. The check engine light then illuminated and the car stedily beagan to decelerate although RPMS were increasing and the force on the gas pedal was at its maximum. I could no longer get past 30 MPH. The cars behind me had to quickly change lanes behind me to avoid rear end collision and I finally pulled over to the shoulder of the highway but it was a very narrow shoulder so my safety and the safety of those driving around were compromised because they could have easily resulted in a high speed rear-end collision that could have been fatal and the location of my car on the shoulder was not safe and I could have been side-swipped waiting for a friend to come get me and for me to move my car off hat narrow shoulder. I was frantic and very emotionally distressed by this incident because all the maintenance on the car was up to date and there was no check engine light on in the car prior to this incident. The unexpected and decelleration and inability to compensate on the highway was very unsafe. I have taken my car to the delearship and they have yet to address my engine issues or the safety concerns. The rep actually laughed while I was recounting the events. I also called hagerstown police department to have a police officer come out to the breakdown site because I did not feel safe but my frined arrived before the police.

The contact owns a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power while depressing the accelerator pedal, with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a dealer and the turbo was replaced. The contact stated that months later, the vehicle hesitated and jerked while depressing the accelerator pedal with the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer where a part on the transmission was replaced; however, the failure returned, and the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer and the contact was informed that the transmission needed to be replaced. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and had the transmission replaced. The contact stated that months later, the vehicle began to sputter with an abnormal knocking sound coming from the vehicle. The check engine warning light returned, and the vehicle was taken to the nearest dealer. The vehicle was diagnosed with engine failure. The vehicle was not repaired and remained with the dealer. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 87,000.

I HAVE A BRAND NEW 2019 SANTA FE ULTIMATE 2.0T LEASED IN AUGUST WITH 1600 MILES AND I HAVE ALREADY HAD THE CAR IN TWICE WHERE THEY HAVE HAD TO RECALIBRATED THE TRANSMISSION. WHENEVER I WAS AT A STOP OR WAITING TO MAKE A TURN I WOULD PUT MY FOOT ON THE GAS PEDAL AND THE RPMS WOULD GO UP BUT THE CAR WOULDN'T MOVE. I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED A COUPLE OF TIMES BECAUSE THE CAR WOULDN'T GO INTO GEAR AND MOVE WITH THE GAS PEDAL PUSHED ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FLOOR AND THEN ALL OF SUDDEN THE TRANSMISSION WOULD SHIFT INTO GEARS. THIS SHOULD NOT BE HAPPENING TO A BRAND NEW CAR! LOOKING AT DIFFERENT MODELS THIS SEEMS TO BE AN ON GOING PROBLEM WITH HYUNDAI. I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO ENJOY MY CAR BECAUSE IT'S BEEN IN THE SHOP. THEY FIX IT AND IT WORKS FOR A WEEK OR SO AND THEN IT HAPPENS AGAIN. SOMETHING IS DEFINITELY WRONG! I WAS TOLD IF IT HAPPENS AGAIN THEN THEY WILL CALL THE MAIN HEADQUARTERS. THEY SHOULD BE DOING THAT ALREADY TO FIND OUT HOW TO FIX IT ONCE AND FOR ALL SO I DON'T HAVE TO KEEP COMING BACK. I HOPE YOU WILL LOOK INTO THIS MATTER.

I BOUGHT SANTA FE 2019 LIMITED FWD, IT HAS AN ISSUE WITH ACCELERATION, IT HESITATES AROUND 2000 RPM, IT CREATE A BIG ISSUE WHEN I CHANGE LANE TO OVERTAKE OR DRIVING TO UPHILL, I HAVE TO PUSH ACCELERATION PADEL REALLY DOWN TO KEEP GOING. IT JERKS SOMETIMES. I TOOK TWO HYUNDAI DEALERS FOR CHECK AND BOTH SAID NOTHING WRONG WITH CAR, THEY DID NOT FIND ANY CODE OR ISSUE. IT IS SO FRUSTRATING SOMETIMES. MY 12-YEAR-OLD PILOT HAS A BETTER RIDE AND PERFORMANCE THAN 2019 SANTA FE. THIS IS MY FIRST HYUNDAI CAR AND I PAID A LOT OF MONEY . I LIKED THE INTERIOR, INFO SYSTEM, AND EXTERNAL LOOK. LOOKS LIKE TO ME ISSUE WITH TRANSMISSION GEAR SHIFTING

12/26/2021 Driving on I40 E between Santa Rosa and Tucumcari using adaptive cruise control (SCC) at approx 68 m.p.h the brakes were harshly applied which resulted in the vehicle rapidly de-accelerating from approximately 68 m.p.h to approximately 5 m.p.h. (There was a warning displayed on the odometer panel). no vehicle or other obstacle within eyesight to the front, side of rear of our vehicle. Vehicle resumed driving on cruise. No warning prior to the event. Vehicle was taken to the local Hyundai dealership on 12/30/2021 for diagnosis, the mileage was 21066. The technician reported no DTC's found and suggested it might have been caused by the windshield mounted "dash cam", the "dashcam" was not in a position where it could possibly interfere with the vehicle camera, (it has been in the same position since vehicle purchase and remains in the same position today), possibly some critter that ran out in front of us and we did not notice it or maybe a big bug flew into the vehicle. also there was no obstruction to the forward vehicle radar. The vehicle was not road tested. This fault since the first instance has not happened again. this fault has been noted by other owners on various Hyundai owners blogs. This vehicle has FCA + Pedestrian, SCC, LKA.

"FCA" system disabled radar blocked" error came on while test driving on 3 separate occasions but no diagnostic code recorded, prior to taking possession they replaced a camera they thought to be the cause 11 days later during a snowy morning I got the same error again. Again it didn't register a code and I was told by the dealership no code, no problem. Spoke with Hyundai customer relations and was told I have to take it back to the dealership for them to diagnose it, and the condition has to be reproduced for them to note the error but We have not had snow since that morning therefore the system error has not reappeared. The likelihood of being able to reproduce the circumstance during business hours and be able to get it to them to witness the situation is minuscule at best. If this safety feature is deactivated when something as simple as a snowflake blocks the sensor then it isn't really a safety feature. The safety features contributed to my decision to purchase this vehicle (Nov 1st) but all I am told was the radar was blocked and therefore caused the deactivation, but again how can something as simple as a snowflake cause this error and the manufacturer not address this as a safety concern.

At various times the vehicle will not start. It takes multi times to to start the vehicle. The starter and battery have been tested and both are in excellent condition. Both key phob batteries have been replaced and the vehicle at times won’t start but the dash lights turn on. After twice of trying to start the breaks get really stiff. I’ve learned if I get out of the vehicle and open the hood and close it the car will start then any other time getting out and back in it does not start. I even placed the key phob in the designated location of the battery died and still won’t start. The check engine is not on either.

These Hyundai's & Kia's are being stolen left & right across the nation....Hyundai needs to fix our vehicle with an alarm system. We haven't heard anything!!! We owe on the car and if it gets stolen or ruined, we still will have to pay on this vehicle. Also, on top of it all, it will be ruined; and from what we see on TV, they can't even get the parts to fix them. Our SUV is not worth anything now due to those stealing these vehicles because of the Tic Toc videos. Those videos should be banned anyway and taken off so no one else can learn to do this horrible theft. If we can ever get another vehicle, it won't be a Hyundai. This has made us very upset that we haven't heard anything from Hyundai nor there seems to be nothing happening regarding this issue. Why isn't the government pressuring this company? We don't see anything being done.

AFTER DRIVING MY SANTE FE FOR LITTLE OVER 1000 MILES, I WAS WAITING BEHIND SEVERAL VEHICLES AT A STOP LIGHT IN HYATTSVILLE AND MY VEHICLE SHUT OFF AND WOULDN'T START. AFTER TRYING TO RESTART THE VEHICLE FOR MORE THAN 15 MINUTES, IT FINALLY STARTED. I DROVE TO THE NEXT STOP LIGHT AND HAD TO STOP AND THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESTART. THIS HAPPEN TWO MORE TIMES AND THEN FINALLY IT STARTED AND I DROVE BACK TO THE DEALERSHIP IN GAITHERSBURG (FITZGERALD AUTO MALL). I REPORTED THE INCIDENT AND THEY CLAIM TO BE UNABLE TO RECAPITULATE THE INCIDENCE. AT AROUND 5014 MILES, WHEN I CAME TO A STOP LIGHT IN DC, THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AGAIN AND WOULD RESTART. THE COPS CAME AND PUSH ME OUT OF THE ROAD AND I WAS THEN ABLE TO RESTART. I DROVE TO THE NEXT STOP LIGHT AND THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AGAIN AND WOULD START. EVENTUALLY, THE VEHICLE STARTED AFTER APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES. I DROVE THE VEHICLE BACK TO THE DEALER AND WAS TOLD THAT THERE WAS A PERFORMANCE RECALL ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICE AND GIVEN BACK TO ME. THE FOLLOWING DAY DRIVING ON GERMANTOWN ROAD THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AGAIN AT A STOP LIGHT. I CALL THE DEALER AND THEY ASKED THAT I TAKE IT BACK THE NEXT DAY. ON MY WAY TO THE DEALER IN BUMPER TO BUMPER TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE SHUT OFF AGAIN. I TOOK BACK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALER AND TOLD THEM THAT I HAVE NO CONFIDENCE IN THE VEHICLE ANYMORE AND THEY SHOULD REPLACE IT. THE MATTER WAS REPORTED TO THE MANUFACTURER WHO REFUSE TO REPLACE THE VEHICLE AND OFFER $500 COMPENSATION FOR MY INCONVENIENCE WHICH I REFUSE TO ACCEPT. I AM SEEKING YOUR ASSISTANCE TO THIS ISSUE. P.S. I DO HAVE PICTURE OF THE INFORMATION THAT WAS DISPLAYED ON THE DASHBOARD AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENCE AND MY NIECE WAS WITH ME ON TWO OF THOSE OCCASIONS.

SERVICE BRAKES
4 complaints
The contact owned a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe. The contact stated that as his daughter was driving at 20 MPH on the highway, she depressed the brake pedal, the brakes failed to respond, and the vehicle started to smoke from the engine and into the cabin. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact's daughter then tried to depress the brake pedal again, and the contact's daughter then jumped out of the vehicle on the ramp. The vehicle was coming down on the intersection unoccupied, engulfed in smoke, initially hitting a stop sign and then another unknown sign and sequentially coming to a stop. The contact then saw the vehicle at the hillside engulfed with fire and smoke and tried to break a window, however, the contact heard his daughter and stopped. The Fire Department and Police Department were on scene and extinguished the remaining of the fire and the hillside. The origin of the fire was on the engine. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The vehicle was consumed by the fire and the remainder were taken to Lenzi Automotive. The contact was the only occupant in the vehicle and sustained scrapes and bruises to her elbow, finger, right thigh, buttocks, and back rib that require medical attention. The failure mileage was approximately 77,200.

My Santa Fe developed difficulty starting beginning the afternoon of February 18. While waiting in stop-and-go traffic to park for a sporting event, the ISG (idle stop-and-go) activated at least 40 times. After at least the 40th time, the Santa Fe did not turn back on. After about 10 minutes, I was able to start it. This happened while I was stuck in very heavy traffic exiting the freeway. After that, it would always take multiple attempts to start the car even though the battery had more than enough power to turn over the starter. After a couple of days of dealing with this, I took the Santa Fe to my local Hyundai dealer. After diagnostics, they were able to reproduce the problem and they determined that the starter had developed an intermittent short which was likely caused by the multiple ISG activations on Sunday, 2/18/2024. While they verbally agreed with me that repeated activation of the ISG was the likely cause of the starter short, they wouldn't put that in the written service statement. At the time of this problem, my Santa Fe was 1,887 miles past the 5-year 60,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty. I had purchased the Santa Fe a few months ago as certified pre-owned with about 58,500 miles on it so, even though being the 2nd owner, I retained the remainder of the bumper-to-bumper warranty as well as the 10 year 100,000 engine/drivetrain/transmission warranty. Oddly enough the starter, which is attached to the engine is categorized as part of the car's electrical system instead of as part of the engine so the starter replacement wasn't covered. I appealed to the dealer for a discount of some kind. They declined. They claimed to have called Hyundai USA which also supposedly said no to covering the cost of the new starter. A quick Google search for this problem revealed other owners of Santa Fes with the ISG have had the same exact issue.

Was at a complete stop at a light with a car in front me, I had plenty of space when I started accelerating and then suddenly the automatic system braked hard. Like there was literally NO REASON for what the car did. It took a few seconds to get out of that issue but then was able to proceed as normal. There have been at least 2 other times where a side sensor was triggered while on the freeway violently jerking me to the left, nearly putting into another lane.

For the duration of the vehicle's ownership, it has underperformed and operated unpredictably under hard braking, specifically with relation to the vehicle's ABS system. The conditions have caused meto never drive the car in snow, as this weather condition in particular exacerbates the braking issues and makes the car unsafe. Issues with the braking/ABS include: The ABS activating at slow speeds in all conditions, even on dry roads The ABS activating and preventing the vehicle from being emergency stopped in adverse conditions The ABS activating and exponentially extending the braking distance until it disnegages The ABS, once activated, does not stop unless the brake pedal is lifted from its initial activation position The vehicle doesn't appear to have any mechancial braking issues. Everything seems to be related to the ABS system, wheel-speed sensors and/or vehicle-management systems. The overall braking experience in this vehicle with the ABS on is that it simply will not stop within a safe braking distance window. The only way to stop this vehicle is without ABS. There is no other way to safely stop this vehicle with ABS. I have reached out to my Hyundai dealer and Hyndai corporate directly, both times being dismissed without anyone attempting to recreate the braking issues. I have a life's worth of experience driving in snow and multiple ABS activations in a range of vehicles. This is abnormal based on all of the experiential knowledge I possess, as well as a lifelong interest in cars. While I am not an engineer, I possess enough firsthand and academic vehicle experience to recognize the abnormality of this vehicle braking operation.

For the past month my car has been stalling in traffic. The car stalls and then turns back on a few seconds later. It also stalls when I am accelerating after stopping for a red light. This situation is very dangerous and it means that I cannot drive my car expecting to be safe at all. It seems like the motor and the transmission are involved which makes the stalling very dangerous as those are major systems.

2019 Hyundai Santa fe first owner after each use of the Auto Stop/ Start feature is guaranteed that in 24-48 hrs the car will stall at stop lights and take anywhere from 15-20 min to restart. The power to the electronics continues but the engine can't restart from the stop. It appears as of the feature takes the power from the alternator, starter and battery and drains it until the car can be restarted. Once it starts it drives well until the system is engaged again. I have chosen to not use the system and the car has not stall however once the use of the Auto/ Start Stop system is engaged for a day or two it will stall the vehicle from a stop mostly at stop lights after so much time on standby mode while using the Auto Start / Stop system. Dealer can not recreate the issue.

Panoramic sun roof glass exploded and shattered as I was driving down the highway on a 50 degree F cloudy day. There was no known object that struck the roof nor did we hit a bump in the road or anything. The sound was like that of a shotgun blast. I've seen other posts and settlements for earlier Hyundai vehicle makes and models where warranty was extended to cover a defect causing this. But my 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe damage is not being covered under warranty since it is a couple thousand miles over the 60,000 mile warranty. Hyundai service reported there was no object or damage found to indicate it was caused by something impacting the vehicle. My concern is what will prevent the replacement glass from breaking again if the defect causing it to happen is not fixed.

AT HIGHWAY SPEED THE COMPUTER HAS ATTEMPTED TO PULL THE CAR OUT OF THE LANE INTO THE ADJOINING LANE AS IF IN ATTEMPT TO AVOID SOMETHING. THIS IS HAPPENED AT HIGHWAY SPEED'S ABOUT SIX TIMES. VEHICLE ALSO AT ONE TIME APPLIED THE EMERGENCY BRAKE AS THE VEHICLE IS APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION AS AN EMERGENCY STOP. THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE FOR SEVERAL SECONDS. WHEN I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE INTO THE HYUNDAI DEALERSHIP THE REPRESENTATIVE IMMEDIATELY SUGGESTED THAT THERE WAS A RODENT PROBLEM. THIS WAS CONFIRMED NOT TO BE THE CASE.AS THERE DID NOT APPEAR TO BE ANY OTHER COMPUTER MESSAGING THE TECHNICIAN SUGGESTED THAT MAYBE IT WAS THE CALIFORNIA FASTRACK RESPONDER UNIT. THEY SUGGESTED IT BE RELOCATED WHICH I DID. THE PROBLEM LIES THAT YOU'RE NOT SURE THAT THIS IS WHAT CAUSED THE PROBLEM AND THE SUGGESTION 'TO DRIVE IT TO SEE IF IT REPEATED' AS IT DOES NOT SOUND PRUDENT FROM A SAFETY PERSPECTIVE. THE COMPUTER PULLS AT A HARD LEVEL WHICH MAKES IT DIFFICULT TO MAINTAIN THE VEHICLE IN THE LANE AND IT SUDDENLY RELEASES THE PULLING WHICH JERKS THE CAR BACK INTO THE DRIVING LANE MUCH LIKE AN OVER CORRECTION. THIS IS OBVIOUSLY QUITE DANGEROUS AND I WOULD SUGGEST SOMETHING ELSE IS DONE TO EITHER CONFIRM OR DISAPPROVE THE RESPONDER ISSUE AS THESE RESPONDERS ARE COMMON AND IT WAS PLACED PER THE INSTRUCTIONS OF THE FASTRACK.

Overly excessive oil consumption 2 Quarts every 3 or 4 days.no leaks. Engine gets so hot I don't have to turn on heater In winter. On going issue since 100,000 miles. EBS light stays on electronic parking brake switch does not work. Parking brake will randomly engage after vehicle is turned off. Dealership cannot duplicate issue. If cruse control is turned on the vehicles warning lights all of them will suddenly illuminate and the vehicle shuts off. alternator and battery replaced. Have not used cruse control since. Airbags never inflated in a front end crash at 45mph Most recently I started experiencing I intermittent trouble staring the car. Then one day it didn't start at all and smoke was coming from under the hood. Towed to mechanic , starter burnt up 155,000. $ 900 to replace then a couple days later I lost power on the freeway and the car started jerking and vibrating. Stopped Vehicle cut off and would not start. After 1hr I started and limped home. Vibration under 2000 RPMs and when stopped. Knocking noise under hood. Brand new spark plugs. Mechanic stated Cylinder 3;missfire was identified as a hole in a valve due to weak material now I have to replace engine. Oil consumption and excessive friction and heat is to blame. My car has been cared for like a baby it's all I have. I should not have to be responsible for this very cheaply made engine that was doomed to fail.

I purchased my 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe on October 29, 2021. Since then, I’ve experienced a series of mechanical and electrical failures that I believe are far beyond normal for a vehicle of this age. - The remote start has never worked. - On October 20, 2023, the hatch latch failed. The only way to open it now is by climbing into the back and manually pulling the latch. - On October 27, 2023, the electric power steering failed. I had to replace the entire steering column at a cost of $4,000. - The paint began deteriorating prematurely and required a full repair. Hyundai covered this under warranty, but the cost was $8,000. - In early spring 2025, all coil packs had to be replaced due to misfires, costing approximately $500. - September 4, 2025, The car stalled while I was driving on a main road and I had to pull over. There were no warning lights and I started home. About a mile from home check engine light came on so contact mechanic. Ended up towing to a dealership and was told the engine must be replaced because the oil had burned off without any warning from the oil light indicator. The turbo also needs replacement. - The combined cost is $14,000. These failures have caused significant financial hardship and stress. I am currently $17,000 underwater on the loan, and the repair costs are overwhelming. The lack of warning before catastrophic engine damage is especially concerning. I believe these issues reflect systemic defects in the vehicle’s design and manufacturing. The repeated failure of critical components—especially the steering system and oil monitoring—make this the worst automotive experience I’ve ever had. I respectfully request that the NHTSA investigate these failures and determine whether Hyundai should be held accountable. Consumers deserve protection from vehicles with such extensive and costly problems.

The seat is able to forward face up to 40 lbs with a seatbelt install and 35 lbs with a latch install. When trying to install this seat with the seatbelt the instruction manual states not to lock the seatbelt after install however if the seatbelt inst not locked the seatbelt moves easily with some pressure (i.e. child pushing legs against back seat) and then becomes so lose that is can fall over. ALternately, i have tried the install with locking the seatbelt and this solution only lasts 1-2 car rides longer. (i.e. i would need to reinstall my seat every other time my child rode in the car). Currently the seat is installed with the latch system as this is the only way to get a safe install however my son is currently 34lbs and it will soon be unsafe to ride rear facing with the latch system which will then force me to turn him front facing before I or my son are ready.

The Forward Collision Assist would intermittently disable during driving. The Lane Keeping Assist light illuminated and would not allow me to disable it causing the vehicle to drive straight only and to make left or right turns extremely hard to turn the vehicle. This incident occurred on [XXX] and was dropped off at Johnson Hyundai in Wake Forest on that date. After a week of no contact of a diagnosis, I had to visit the dealer and was told the steering column was the issue and needed to be replaced. I contacted Hyundai America to report this issue and currently waiting on a response from their warranty to see if they will cover all or a percentage of the replacement of the steering column since my mileage is over their 100k (113k to be exact) coverage. While I appreciate their efforts, I also feel this could have resulted in a very serious incident had my daughter been driving on the highway when this occurred. Thankfully, she was picking me from home and it happened as we drove off from our house in our neighborhood. A steering column should outlast any other part(s) of a vehicle. If not, this is a huge safety concern. My [XXX] was also in the car at the time and I cannot even imagine how I would recover if something worse were to happen while he's on board. Hopefully this reporting will keep something bad from happening to others who own this type of vehicle but failed to report it. Thank you for your time. I had a serious issue with the Santa Fe lane keeper system. I was driving on I15 in a winding portion through the Virgin River Gorge in relatively high traffic on a corner. I have used this feature many times in the past and expected a gentle nudge on the steering wheel. But unexpectedly the steering wheel turned hard left, almost causing a total loss of control. I am safe driver always checking for other drivers doing what they shouldn't, but I never expected my car to be the one making dangerous movements. If I hadn't had a firm grip on the wheel, I would have been out of control on a narrow bridge in heavy traffic. Am I the only one with this problem?

Nothing was thrown at it and no other vehicles were around me to have any debris thrown up onto it. I got out and inspected the sunroof and found that there was no object imbedded on, in, or near the sunroof that would lead me to believe anything hit it. I contacted the Hyundai dealership about this and they will not cover it under warranty. I believe this is a quality control issue with faulty engineering of the sunroof and upon looking at other Hyundai forums, I found that others have reported the same thing occurring to their vehicles of the same make and model and the pictures of their damage look identical to my damage.

LUCKILY I HAD ONLY ONE CAR AT MY BACK WHO HONKED ON ME CONTINUOUSLY... I WAS NOT ABLE TO REPRODUCE THE ISSUE AFTERWARDS BUT TO BE HONEST I KEPT ONLY ABOUT 50 MILES SINCE THEN. I AM AFRAID IF I WOULD GET STALLED ONE FINE DAY... AND ALSO AFRAID HYUNDAI SERVICE CENTER WOULD JUST SAY NOT REPRODUCIBLE AND MAY JUST SAY TO TURN OFF THE FEATURE MAY BE?

THE HEADLIGHTS ON DIM WILL GIVE THE ONCOMING CAR THE " BRIGHTS EFFECT" ON ROUGH UP AND DOWN ROADS. RESULTING IN THE ONCOMING CAR GIVING ME THE "BRIGHTS FLASH" OR JUST LEAVING THEIR VEHICLE 'BRIGHTS' ON PERMANENTLY. THIS IS VERY BLINDING AND DANGEROUS. SEEMS THERE IS A FINE LINE OF BEING DIM OR BRIGHT ON THESE TYPES OF HEADLIGHTS. I HAVE HAD THEM INSPECTED BY THE DEALER AND TOLD THEY ARE OK. THERE ARE MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS ON THE INTERNET. THIS IS NIGHT TIME DRIVING.

I HAVE HAD ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE SINCE VERY SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASE IN JUNE 2019. I HAVE BEEN WITHOUT MY VEHICLE THREE TIMES DUE TO SERVICE/WARRANTY RELATED ISSUES - TWICE IN A RENTAL, AND NOW THE THIRD TIME I AM USING A FRIEND'S VEHICLE. MY COMPLAINTS BEGAN WITH A "HARD START" AND A DELAYED TURNOVER OF THE ENGINE. THE VEHICLE BEHAVES AS THOUGH IT WANTS TO STALL OUT. HYUNDAI TOLD ME FOR MONTHS THAT THEY COULDN'T RECREATE THE PROBLEM TO FIX IT EVEN THOUGH IT HAPPENED 2-3 TIMES MINIMUM PER WEEK. THEN THE OTHER THINGS STARTED GOING WRONG...HERE IS A SHORT LIST FOR YOU OVER MULTIPLE VISITS AND PHONE CALLS TO THE DEALERSHIP: -HARD START - VEHICLE JERKS FORWARD UPON ENGINE START -DELAYED TURNOVER - FEELS LIKE IT IS GOING TO STALL -VEHICLE ENGINE TICKING UPON START -MOST RECENTLY, VEHICLE ENGINE LOUDLY KNOCKING UPON START -VEHICLE AUTO COLLISION SENSORS MALFUNCTIONED AND ALMOST CAUSED AN ACCIDENT ON A BUSY 4 LANE HIGHWAY BY CAUSING MY BRAKES TO SLAM TO AN ALMOST STOP BECAUSE THE CAR IN A LANE NEXT TO ME WAS TURNING (I WAS GOING 60MPH AT THE TIME WITH NO RISK OF COLLISION). -APPLE CAR PLAY MALFUNCTIONS - SOUNDS LIKE WIRES ARE CROSSED (USING APPLE CHARGER AND GENERIC CHARGER) -REAR VIEW CAMERA STAYS ON FOR 10-15 MINUTES AT A TIME TO THE POINT THAT I HAVE TO TURN OFF AND RESTART THE VEHICLE -WHILE GOING 25-40 MPH, AT TIMES, THE VEHICLE WILL CREATE A NOTICEABLE FRONT END JERKING MOTION -WHILE THE FLIGHT RECORDER WAS IN ME VEHICLE, IT WENT OFF ON AN EMERGENCY ALARM FOR OVER 3 HOURS AND HYUNDAI'S SERVICE TEAM COULDN'T DETERMINE A PROBLEM -THE GAS CAP DOOR WILL NOT OPEN OR CLOSE PROPERLY -VEHICLE, ON 5 OCCASSIONS, WOULD NOT RESPOND TO DEPRESSION OF GAS PEDAL THERE ARE OTHER SMALLER ISSUES THAT I HAVE EXPRESSED MY CONCERN OVER, AND I NO LONGER FEEL SAFE IN THIS VEHICLE WITH MY TWO SMALL CHILDREN HAVE NOW BEEN WITHOUT VEHICLE FOR 30+ CUMULATIVE DAYS

MY VEHICLE APPLIES THE BRAKES WHILE DRIVING ON BUSY ROADS WHEN NOTHING IS IN MY PATH. I'VE ALMOST BEEN REAR ENDED A FEW TIMES BECAUSE OF IT AND HYUNDAI HAS NO RESOLUTION. THEN ALSO MY VEHICLE HAS LANE ASSIST AND THE COMPUTER FOUGHT ME STEERING THE WHEEL WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. HYUNDAI REPLACED STEERING COMPONENTS IN THE VEHICLE BUT DON'T KNOW WHY IT HAPPENED SO THEY NEVER DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM. WE HAVE TRIED TO GO TO HYUNDAI ABOUT THE ISSUE BUT BASICALLY THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT OUR MONEY WE PAY AND NOT OUR SAFETY.

I HAD RENTED A HYUNDAI SANTE FE IN SEPTEMBER 2019. I HAD THE VEHICLE FOR A FEW WEEKS WITH NO ISSUES UNTIL I DROVE OVER THE MOUNTAINS. I HAD PULLED INTO A PARKING LOT AND WAS LOOKING TO PARK, COASTING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT, I THEN BACKED UP AND FOUND A PARKING SPOT. I WAS TURNING RIGHT IN AT A VERY SLOW SPEED, A VIRTUAL CRAWL INTO A PARKING SPACE WHEN I PRESSED THE BRAKES TO STOP THE VEHICLE WHEN IT SUDDENLY REVS ITS ENGINE AND BEGAN ACCELERATING OUT OF CONTROL JUMPING OVER THE FRONT PARKING CURB AND SLAMMING INTO A CHAIN LINK FENCE. THE BRAKE WAS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOOR AND WOULD NOT STOP, I PUMPED THE BRAKES TO STOP AND WHEN IT WOULD NOT STOP, I QUICK SLAMMED THE VEHICLE INTO THE PARK POSITION TO PREVENT THE VEHICLE FROM HITTING A TRACKER AND CAUSING FURTHER DAMAGE OR INJURY. I CONTACTED MY INSURANCE AGENT AND THEN I CONTACTED ENTERPRISE RENTAL COMPANY IN BEND OREGON. I WAS ON HOLD FOR ROUGHLY 30 MIN. I EXPLAINED THE SITUATION AND THEY STATED THAT THERE WERE NO RECALLS THEY KNEW OF AND THEY ADVISED ME TO CONTACT THEIR TOW COMPANY AND HAVE IT TOWED TO THE AIRPORT IN REDMOND OREGON TO SWITCH OUT THE VEHICLES. I RESEARCHED ON MY OWN AND FOUND THAT THEIR WAS A SIMILAR INCIDENT IN LAS VEGAS, NV REPORTED IN JANUARY 31ST, 2018. THIS INCIDENT NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO BEFORE SOMEONE IS SERIOUSLY INJURED. THE ISG MAY BE A CONTRIBUTING FACTOR IN THIS CASE.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 HYUNDAI SANTA FE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE'S SMART SYSTEM CAUSED THE VEHICLE TO BRAKE ON ITS OWN. ALSO, THE LANE CHANGE WAS NOT READING CORRECTLY AND PUSHED THE VEHICLE INTO THE WRONG LANE INTO A BARRIER. IN ADDITION, WHILE DEPRESSING THE BRAKE PEDAL, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO SLOW DOWN WHEN MAKING A RIGHT TURN. AFTER COMPLETING THE TURN, THE CONTACT WAS ABLE TO BRAKE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO FITZGERALD HYUNDAI ROCKVILLE (11411 ROCKVILLE PIKE, ROCKVILLE, MD 20852, (301) 881-4000) TWICE WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SYSTEM WAS NOT CALIBRATING PROPERLY AND THE EASY PASS INTERFERED WITH THE SMART SYSTEM. THE EASY PASS WAS MOVED AWAY FROM THE CAMERA, BUT THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED CASE NUMBER: 16086926. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 3,000. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

STOPPED VEHICLE ON SIDE OF NEIGHBORHOOD ROAD ON MODERATE DOWNWARD INCLINE. PLACED VEHICLE IN PARK AND AT IDLE. A FEW MINUTES LATER, SHIFTED CAR INTO DRIVE AND PROCEEDED TO PULL OUT INTO ROADWAY. AS THE VEHICLE TURNED A CORNER, IT LOST ACCELERATION (CAR SLOWED TO A STOP AS ACCELERATOR WAS PRESSED) , AND TACHOMETER DECREASED TO ZERO. PULLED TO SIDE OF ROAD AS CAR SLOWED TO A STOP. TOTAL DISTANCE CAR TRAVELLED AT THIS POINT WAS ABOUT 75 FEET). PUT CAR IN PARK AND TURNED OFF ENGINE. WAITED FOR A FEW MINUTES, RESTARTED ENGINE, PLACED CAR IN DRIVE AND DROVE HOME ( ABOUT 40 FEET). PROBLEM: CAR ENGINE STALLED, CAUSE UNKNOWN.

THE BLUE LINK REMOTE START OFTEN DOES NOT RESPOND. THIS IS VERY DIFFICULT TO GET FIXED. THE DEALER DOES NOT HAVE ACCESS TO THIS SYSTEM. HYUNDAI DOES NOT HAVE A CONTACT NUMBER THAT IS EASY TO LOCATE. WHEN YOU DO CALL THEY ARE DIFFICULT TO TALK WITH AND OFTEN JUST HANG UP ON YOU. THIS HAS BEEN AN ONGOING STRUGGLE FOR SEVERAL MONTHS. IT IS ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO REACH SOMEONE TO TALK TOO ABOUT THIS. THEY HAVE RECENTLY SENT AN E MAIL TELLING ME THAT THAT I MUST ACCEPT CHANGES IN MY BLUE LINK (THEY ARE GOING TO SHARE DATA FROM THAT WITH OTHER COMPANIES). YOU DO NOT HAVE AN OPTION TO DECLINE. THEY GIVE YOU AN OPTION TO AGREE OR THEY NOTE THAT CONTINUED USE OF BLUE LINK GIVES CONSENT. I DO NOT GIVE MY CONSENT. BLUE LINK IS NOT DEPENDABLE AND AS A RESULT DATA FROM THAT SYSTEM IS LIKELY TO INACCURATE. I OWN THREE HYUNDAI'S AND BUYING THE 2019 WAS A MISTAKE. THE BLUE LINK SYSTEM IS A MESS. THE SELL YOU THE SYSTEM IT WORKS ON YOUR PHONE, WORKS FROM ANYWHERE NO DISTANCE LIMITATIONS ECT. BUT AFTER YOU BUY IT THEY POINT OUT THAT YOU CANT COMPLAIN BECAUSE ITS A COMPLEMENTARY SERVICE. THIS ONLY COMES OUT AFTER YOU BUY THE CAR. THEY NEVER TALK ABOUT IT BEFORE THE PURCHASE. AFTER OWNING HYUNDAI'S FOR SEVERAL YEARS (3 OF THEM) I AM BEYOND DISAPPOINTED THEY THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS SO POOR. WHATS WORSE IS THAT WHEN YOU COMPLAIN THEY CAN'T FIND A NUMBER TO CONTACT WHERE YOU CAN GET HYUNDAI AMERICA TO EVEN LISTEN TO THE PROBLEM.

ON MARCH 5, THIS VEHICLE STOPPED WHILE DRIVING IN THE MIDDLE OF A STREET. I WAS UNABLE TO START THE VEHICLE AND ME AND MY PASSENGER COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED OR KILLED. CAR WAS TOWED TO DEALERSHIP AND HAS 2600 MILES ON IT. I HAVE FOUND THAT HYUNDAI IS DOING A RECALL TO REPLACE STARTER AND A SOFTWARE UPDATE. I HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT BECAUSE OF THE NEW TECHNOLOGY THIS VEHICLE HAS WHICH IS AN AUTOMATIC START AND STOP AT A STOP SIGN OR STOP LIGHT THAT THE STARTER SHORTED OUT AND APPARENTLY THE SOFTWARE IN THE CAR JUST STOPS THE CAR WHILE DRIVING.. THIS HAPPENED WHILE DRIVING THE CAR AT 35 MILES/HOUR ON A BUSY STREET. IT IS A MIRACLE THAT I WAS NOT HIT AND INJURED OR KILLED. CAR IS AT THE DEALERSHIP WAITING FOR A NEW STARTER AND SOFTWARE UPDATE WITH A POSSIBLE SHIP DATE OF MARCH 31, 2019. THESE 2019 SANTA FE ARE NOT SAFE TO BE SELLING TO THE PUBLIC WITH THIS KNOWN DEFECT.

WHILE DRIVING MY NEW 2019 SANTA FE I NOTICED THE FIRST TIME IT RAINED I HAD SEVERE REDUCED VISIBILITY IN THE LEFT PORTION OF THE WINDSHIELD WHERE THE WIPERS DON'T REACH. THE RAIN POOLS THERE AND DOES NOT GET ANY BETTER THAN PICTURED. THIS IS A SAFETY ISSUE AS YOU CAN NOT SEE OUT OF 15% OF THE WINDSHIELD AND COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT.

GAS TANK LEAK UPON DELIVERY. AFTER INSPECTING THE LEAK, TECHNICIANS WERE ABLE TO IDENTIFY THE MANUFACTURER HAD ISSUED REPAIRS ON GAS TANKS THAT WERE TOO THIN AND AS A RESULT, THE VEHICLE WE PURCHASED WAS NOT PROPERLY REPAIRED AND LEAKED FUEL.

MY NEW 2019 HYUNDAI SANTE FE FROM THE TIME I BOUGHT IT HAD THE YELLOW CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME ON. IT SAID THE BSM SYSTEM WASN'T WORKING. THEN THE ENGINE WOULD NOT START ON 4 SEPARATE OCCASIONS. I HAD TO WAIT TO GET IT TO START. THERE HAVE BEEN 3 OCCASIONS WHEN IT DID START IT SOUNDED LIKE IT WAS GOING DIE, VERY SLUGGISH AND DIDN'T WANT TO ACCELERATE. THE RPM WOULD NOT INCREASE. IT ALSO STARTED 2 SEPARATE OCCASIONS IT LOST STEERING WHEEL POWER AND THE A/C STOPPED BLOWING COLD AIR. I HAD TO TURN IT OFF AND WAIT TO RESTART IT. IT IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALERSHIP WAITING FOR THE BLIND SPOT MONITORING MODULES. THE FIRST TIME THEY REPLACED THE MODULE IT STILL SHOWED IT NOT WORKING. SO NOW IT IS UNDRIVABLE AT GENE MESSER HYUNDAI IN LUBBOCK TEXAS, THEY SAY IT'S NOT SAFE TO DRIVE SO I AM DRIVING A LOANER. THEY SAY THEY CAN'T DETERMINE WHY THE ENGINE DID THE DESCRIBED THINGS ABOVE. THESE THINGS HAPPENED WHILE IN MOTION AND PARKED.
