I purchased a brand new GLC 300 on May 25, 2023. By June 2, 2023 I was already stranded due to a 12V battery electrical system failure. Since then I have been stranded 8 total times and the vehicle has been in the service department 14 times for repeated electrical issues (8 of those visits were related to the same 12V battery electrical system failures. The battery was reportedly replaced in 2024-shortly thereafter I began experiencing issues with the collision assist malfunctioning. The alarms would sound seat belt tighten and brakes lock up while driving on the interstate. The theft deterrent alarm wound sound in the middle of the night without provocation. The panoramic roof would malfunction. The air vent disintegrated. In August 2025, the collision assist malfunctioned causing the vehicle to steer off the road resulting in a blow out. It has not been driven since.

check engine light continues to turn on and off, response from dealer maintenance is this issue is temperature related and just keep driving, not sure how this makes for an effective or safe functioning of a warning light also seems like it can lead to unnecessary trips to and costs at the maintenance garage. This has been a multiple time issue since purchase of vehicle.

The care sends a message that the battery is low. Then the check engine light comes on till we drive the car for awhile. The first time this happened I took it to the dealer and they said they could find nothing wrong with it and was giving no readings. It has continued to happen a lot. The battery should not be going down if it not being used. There has to be a problem. This has been going on for over a year. The dealer where we bought the car called today about service and said there was a recall about the battery, but when I call MB they said there was not recall?

The contact stated that his wife had observed that the brake warning had been illuminated before the instrument cluster failure. The contact stated that his wife jumped the curb and crashed into the wall of a building. The contact stated that the front end of the vehicle was crushed, and the hood was damaged. The contact stated that the front headlights and front bumper were also crushed. The contact stated that the windshield was cracked as well. The contact stated that his wife was unhurt despite the air bags not deploying. The contact stated that the police were called and they issued a report. The contact had called his dealer who referred him to a body shop. The contact had the vehicle towed to a local body shop. The vehicle was not diagnosed by a dealer or independent mechanic. When loading groceries in my trunk, the door randomly closes on my head. The last time this door closed while we were loading, I tried stopping it with my hand, by holding it, so my spouse doesnt get smashed, and it will not stop at all. There needs to be a safety feature installed to stop this trunk from closing if a person is underneath it. I fear that a child or an elderly person wont be able to move fast enough and will be severely harmed by this.

I have had numerous incidents since I purchased the vehicle in April of 2023. The first was when it would not start. It continuously ran through all of the error messages and simply refused to start. This happened numerous times, leaving me stranded for 20 minutes or longer. Then, the safety features would randomly stop functioning, and I would receive error messages stating that they were disabled. The check engine light would appear on the dashboard, and it continues to do so, even though I am told there is nothing wrong with the engine. My Mercedes will randomly turn on and tell me that they don't understand my question, even though I never asked it a question. There have been too many issues to list, but the final straw was yesterday. The hatch quit working about two months ago. It would shut but I would get a message saying it wasn't shut, and I would have to get out of the car and shut it manually. The part was ordered, but it did not arrive on the day of service, so I had to reschedule. It was replaced, but I was told that it won't shut correctly, and that I need to take it to a body shop for repair, which is not covered by my warranty. I have tried for years to have it lemon lawed, but I am continuously told it does not qualify. So, what qualifies. It was a brand new LUXURY, EXPENSIVE car, and I will never buy another Mercedes, and I have been telling my family and friends to avoid buying one, too!!

The sunroof glass blasted and shattered during a drive on an interstate highway. I was driving normally when I heard a loud sound like a tire burst or gunshot. Initially, I thought that my tire had busted. I took an exit and stopped to inspect the tires. I found them to be okay, but I was puzzled where the sound came from. I started driving again and observed that a lot of outside noise was coming, also there was a glass clinking noise so I stopped again to check. I found a hole in my sunroof and the shattered glass had fallen on the protective mesh cloth. That is when I realized that the loud sound was from this broken sunroof. It was something like that the sunroof had blasted outwards as the bump was going outside. Luckily, I didn't lose control of that sudden, loud sound and didn't get into a crash. Hopefully, the broken glass didn't fly and hit other cars.

When working in the rear cargo area, the door comes down without warning and does not break when it meets resistance trapping me between the body of the car and the descending door. A great deal of physical pressure must be employed in trying to get it to reverse direction. It is a struggle to get out from under the continually closing door. This has happend to me on three different occasions. There should be an automatic reversal when the door meets resistance not unlike a garage door.

The automatic windows open when the car is parked without being initiated by anyone. Think of it as phantom window opening. The vehicle occasionally reports a window being open when in fact they are all closed. When the phantom opening occurs there is not notice of a window being open.

The contact owns a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC300. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, and the contact and his wife were removing groceries from the rear of the vehicle, the tailgate was independently lifted due to the design of the keyless entry feature. The contact and his wife continued to remove items from the rear of the vehicle and the tailgate sensor became enabled, and the tailgate closed inadvertently, striking the contact's wife on the head. The contact's wife sustained a knot on the head that remained for a week. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. The contact was informed that the feature could not be deactivated unless the contact chose to deactivate the entire keyless sensor feature. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and the contact was informed that the option would be to deactivate the entire keyless sensor. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.

1. The rear hatch has opened while the car was left unattended. 2. If the hatch opens it could possibly cause a safety issue: a.By opening while driving. This has not happened and I do not know if Mercedes has a safety lock to ensure this could not happen. b.Open while parked and unattended. The vehicle would be unsecured with items being subjected to being stolen. c.Open while parked at the store, mall, etc. A stranger could get in the rear of the vehicle, close the hatch and wait for me to return causing a dangerous situation. d.Open and damage the garage door if parked in the garage; e.Open while someone is in the back of the vehicle. Should this happen, a person could be pinned against another vehicle or garage door. 3.Mercedes Benz is aware of this issue on many of their vehicles. I was told the S class Mercedes has had a similar problem and Mercedes reprogrammed the key fob to a “2X push of the rear hatch button on the key fob”. They have yet to do this on my vehicle. 4.The vehicle has not been inspected by Mercedes, however, in discussing this with the Mercedes Service Department they are aware of this issue and as of today there is not a similar fix as to that of the S class Mercedes. Mercedes is aware of this problem but has yet to offer a fix. Also, upon doing an internet search, I have discovered others having experienced similar problems over the course of many years. 5.There were no warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms relating to the problem. This problem first appeared within a few miles of owning the vehicle. The vehicle is currently has about 1,100 miles.

Check engine light on, according to Mercedes Benz problem related to 48 V mild hybrid,I took twice car to the dealership ,they can’t reset check engine lights GLC 300 2023 With 3500 miles
Jan 28, 2024
This vehicle has now had three episodes where warning lights came on for no apparent reason. There have been two episodes of "Check Engine Light" coming on, the first with less than 1000 miles on the vehicle. It was driven to the dealer and they checked finding no problems and said not to worry about it. The second about two months later with an indication of "Excessive engine Temperature", but the engine was cold and just started, the fan was running very fast, but otherwise the vehicle was operable. Again, the dealer could find no problem and said to ignore it, but return if it recurred. Two months later, check engine light on again. Currently at the dealer for service for a third time. No faith in the reliability of this car with the reports of this leading to engine stalls and failure to start in other cars.

Car would not start warning lights on dash unable to start car
Aug 31, 2023
1 ) the car would not start several times. every error message scanned across the screen and i had to leave the car and lock it and wait 10-15 minutes and then it would start. if i had any type of emergency and this happened, it would be detrimental. the first time this happened was the day i got the car with less than 10 miles on it. this issue was recreated by service and a software update was performed and it hasn’t happened since. 2 ) all computers / screens turned off while the car was in drive and in motion. horrifying and so dangerous. i had no safety features active , as they all display on the two screens. this happened with less than 500 miles on the car. this was not duplicated by service and it happened one time. 3 ) the sunroof malfunctioned and would not close after the software update was performed. i had to bring it back the very next day. this problem was duplicated by service and was repaired. 4 ) today the camera / visibility system malfunctioned giving an error message “ system inoperative “. i drove it to service an hour after it happened. it makes me completely distrust every electronic component of the vehicle which scares me so much to even drive it not knowing if and when safety features will fail. mileage est 1350. i’m not sure if they have duplicated it, as it’s still in the shop. i have videos of the other issues but the form won’t let me upload videos. i uploaded a picture of the 4th issue in my report.

EXTERIOR LIGHTING
4 complaints
I am having the following issues with my digital lights on my 2023 GLC. Dealer states normal. It is unsafe and should have a recall/software update. VIN: [XXX] Dangerously inadequate forward visibility at night on low beam/inadequate beam pattern. Level of illumination not at legal minimum of visibility on low beam/ no long distance illumination yet creates excessive illumination of retroreflective signs creating distraction. Adaptive Driving Beam not functional. Extremely limited beam pattern on low beam. Topographic/dynamic leveling does not adjust beam so you are blind going down hill/up hill at night. Poor image/contrast for projection/symbols. Only triangle works. Cornering light not functional. Cannot see sides when cornering at night. Mercedes complaint reference # [XXX] INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)
Sep 03, 2023
DIGITAL LIGHT low beam inadequate distance for safe driving on unlit roadway. Low beam has unnecessary blacked out areas causing distraction. Low beams too low, especially driving down hills. Adaptive high beams revert to low beam without any apparent light to trigger camera/sensor. Dealer states they are all the same, nothing they can do, call MB USA. MB USA gave me a case number but do no seem interested in solving the issue
Aug 19, 2023
The digital lights are defective for the US market. The low beam doesn’t provide any light for night driving farther than x feet. It also has jagged edges across the beam that greatly effect night visibility. The adaptive part of the system doesn’t provide adequate lighting in the dark around curves, the car states it has cornering lamps but it does not/ is not activated for us market. When it’s completely dark, I cannot see the front sides for turning, the lights are a serious safety hazard. The headlamps also get condensation when wet and fog up and effect visibility where you cannot drive at night. The leveling sensor failed and subsequently rendered the auto high beam and adaptive lighting system inoperative. The car doesn’t do any of the listed safety projections it’s supposed o do, such as spotlight. One time it worked but when tested it was never able to see it again after a software update. Serious safety concerns regarding the over the air updates and advertised functionality vs real life performance
Aug 16, 2023
Check Right low beam error messsage. Beam decreased light output, lightbulb out. Adaptive high beam not working and neither is the intelligent light system/active lights.

Purchased vehicle 6-23 from MB West Chester pa. Feb 3-24 I was parked in a lot once I tried to enter the car I was locked out of the vehicle completely 2270 miles on it. I tried to use the key no avail. I had to contact Mercedes to have my car towed to the shop. Once arrived the damage signal came on. I was told taking the car off the tow truck sometimes makes that signal come on. I never understood. Rep stated it was the battery that died. Which the tow truck guy stated it had to be electrical. Then I returned the vehicle due to loud noise from the front of my vehicle rep stated he didn’t hear it. Then I had to return the vehicle due to brakes squealing very loud. At 5000-7900 miles I was told I needed brakes all around my vehicle. No warranty was applied I paid cash. Left the shop and the noise from the front continued and the squealing from the brakes was still very loud. I brought it back to the shop for treatment care. The rep stated it was a leaf in the front of my engine and he put some special oil on the brakes to stop the squealing but to no avail. The noise continued in both places. I brought the car back for my second treatment and then I was told they hear the noise in the front. They kept the car for a couple of days called me and stated the head dash board was burnt out. The same complaint I was making light flashing and noise. I went to pick the vehicle up stated my warranty had to cover almost $11,000 worth of work. I was devastated, depressed and then I asked is the car safe for me to drive the rep said yes. I was afraid but I had to take my car and leave. I left with tears in my eyes. I could not believe I saved my last of savings to buy me a reliable, dependable Luxury car due to my severe medical issues to make me feel better. I am very disappointed, confused, devastated and very saddened about my brand new vehicle I purchased for myself. I contacted the Attorney General back in Feb 24 and I contacted the lemon Law for support.

Vehicle has a significant engine oil leak without being driven. Engine oil electronic meter still shows engine oil to be in "Ok" range. Vehicle is 2023 with only 19680 miles and is rarely driven till the last 2 months. Other 2023 Model Year MB GLC300's manufactured at the same Bremen Germany plant are already being recalled for engine and fuel leaks, however, this one is not on the list. This vehicle is also the 2.0L Inline 4 engine and may be the same engine as the others being recalled. The others are recalled due to an imperfect seal between the high pressure fuel pump and the tandem oil pump. My vehicle is leaking engine fluid, likely oil at a significant rate without having been driven in any unsafe manner or much use.

1.This is my new GLC 300 and after taking delivery and running for around 300 miles check engine light on my dashboard 2.Took it to Ray catena freehold service center and they kept this vehicle for 2 days and ran test and said no issues or no error codes found for the engine light 3. Service department said they cleared all the codes and updated the software and it should be good 4. After taking it from service center the check engine light is again on and its quite random 5. The check engine light goes off on its own and then pop up when i start again and its quite random 6. Worried whether this vehicle is road worthy or not 5. This all started when a message from the 12 v battery came in Mercedes me app saying its draining so start the vehicle after that this message is quite randomly coming

Sunday, June 25, when I was driving the car on the road, the engine shut off and the car stopped running. 3 warning lights show on screen: engine light; 48v Battery Service Required; 12v Battery service required. I used the break to park the car on the roadside after that. I tried many times to restart the car, Waited over one hour and 40 minutes it finally started again, the engine warning light was still on until the second day morning, and I was able to take pics as evident. 1. What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Yes, but on the second day, the MB service dep told me that the car was having a system update (while I was driving the car and it turned off the engine by doing that) 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? I was still driving with 40m/h+ on the road, my car suddenly having a malfunction. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? No, I called MB USA, they started a purchase buyback application, but still let me drive that car. 4. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No. The 3 warning lamps showed when the engine shut off while I was driving. There was no other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure. The car is new, 2023 GLC 300, the dealership is AutoNation, only has 2400 miles on it do far, one month only so far.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM,FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE
1 complaint
There are two issues 1) Unsure of the exact date, but about a year or two ago we were driving our car and the car's automatic break system went into effect on a typically busy, 3 lane road despite there not being any cars in front of our vehicle. We took it into the dealership, who confirmed the issue and told us that sometimes the automatic brake mis-identifies the metal plates in the roads to be vehicles. Had there been a car driving behind us at the time this was happening, it could have been a major accident as the speed limit on that road was 45mph. Additionally we had our [XXX] in the car. There were no warning lamps, messages or symptoms of the problem prior to failure. 2) Recently we have been having a warning sign on our car that says the 12v battery is low, even though it should not be. Historically this would tell us to drive our car around so the battery wouldn't die, but this would sometimes turn on even after a 30+ minute drive. It was turning on every single time we turned the car off, so we brought it into the shop. While in the shop, the dealer provided us with a brand new GLC 300. I took this GLC 300 to my son's daycare to drop him off and when I returned to the car I received an error message "48V battery service required" and could not turn on the vehicle. This brand new vehicle left me stranded. While I was safe at my son's daycare, this has caused me to have significant concerns around the safety and reliability of these GLC300s. We are planning on taking our 2023 GLC 300 on a 6 hour road trip with our [XXX] old and [XXX] old and I am very concerned about the car not starting if we stop for gas. What if we get stranded in a small city along the way? INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

LANE DEPARTURE,STRUCTURE

1. Rear Hatch hands free system - closes unexpectedly while loading or unloading car without using feet to trigger system. Hatch will close down and trap driver in the rear, causing bruising on driver and requiring assistance to push hatch back up. Has been into dealer multiple times since this is HUGE risk to animals or small children exiting out of the rear. Dealer finally disabled hands free system. 2. Lane change assist/blind spot warning - Auto believes there's a vehicle in the lane to either side and will stop car from changing lanes, when actually there isn't a vehicle there. Has caused several close calls due to signaling to change lanes the car will then try to pull back into previous lane. Warning light remains on the side mirrors even when there are no vehicles in the lane. This is especially hazardous while driving at night and in less than optimal weather conditions.

GLC 300 was purchased new on May 25, 2023. Multiple 12V battery errors, check engine indicators, and rear hatch closing on owner starting the first week of ownership. 48V battery and Main Fuse Box were replaced. Multiple recalls were addressed. Most significant issue related to false collision avoidance incidents on two occasions that resulted in dangerous situations and extreme stress on the occupants. First occurrence was on July 12, 2024. Driving approximately 40 mph on two lane road near a school that was not in session. There were no surrounding vehicles, pedestrians or obstacles. Vehicle beeped, seatbelts locked, and speed forced to 10 mph. Took vehicle to local MB dealership who attributed the vehicle’s response to proximity to a school zone. Vehicle was not checked for fault codes. Second occurrence was on August 19, 2024. Driving 55 mph on major highway and a truck entered the merge lane to the right. The truck was travelling at reduced speed and remained in the merge lane showing no effort to merge into vehicle’s lane. Vehicle had violent sudden deceleration with beeping alerts, locking seatbelts and reduced speed to 10 mph. Driver and passenger experienced symptoms of whiplash. It was fortunate that there was no vehicle travelling immediately behind the vehicle. Vehicle was driven to MB dealership for analysis. The vehicle had been driven 6,177 miles in 15 months. Service manager indicated there were no fault codes so no maintenance was warranted. Owner viewed the vehicle as dangerous due to false collision avoidance issues that put passengers and others at risk. The owner sold the vehicle to the MB dealership.

First of all, this is a new car produced in 2023. Since I bought it, the engine has shown alarms more than four times. Every time I went to the 4S shop, no problems were found. Today, the engine still shows a yellow alarm. Secondly, the brake disc makes a loud noise when I park the car and then start the accelerator. Mercedes-Benz has not paid attention to these problems. I think it greatly affects driving safety. This car has been sent to the 4S store many times, but the inspection has always failed. The above-mentioned problems with the car have always existed. I sincerely request your help in solving them.

On [XXX], I was driving at 45MPH on a two-lane state road. There was no traffic within 1/4 -1/2 mile of me on that road. There were no guardrails and the road was clear - no birds, animals, people, or construction. For no reason, the car beeped twice and automatically slammed on the brakes so forceful that everything on a seat landed on the floor. Had there been a vehicle behind me, they would have almost certainly slammed into me. This is my second safety report with this vehicle, the previously reported lane keeping assist still allows me to depart my lane with no correction or indication by the system, the dashboard indicators remain green if I depart my lane without a turn signal. It has been in 5 times for this and Mercedes closed the case. They say it's fine. Lemon law attorneys in my state refuse to take cases with Mercedes so I am stuck with a vehicle that should not be allowed on US roads, can't lemon law it and can't sell it or trade it in with a clear conscience. There is a laundry list of other problems as I drive more than 25,000 miles a year but I only report those which could get myself or others killed. Vehicle sputter and coolant malfunction and engine light came on while driving ( 12-26-23) Took to dealer for some “ update”. After a few weeks of driving the vehicle sputter again and engine light came on again on the (1-19-2024 ) Drove home turned off , loud noises came from engine area. Tried to restart and failed a few times so we let it’s sit for almost an hour and it’s started again with engine light still on . Towed to Mercedes dealer and after long and frustrating times a week later per dealer it’s was the 48v hybrid battery that defective/ non functional. So far we been forced to drive the vehicle “as is” since Mercedes-Benz USA refused to let local dealer to order and replace the 48v hybrid battery. It’s been 2 weeks all informations we get from dealership is that we have to wait for Mercedes to come up with new software to update to which no time frame have been provided as to when software available. We’re experiencing terrible gas mileage MPG with the 48v battery basically non functional as moment

I have taken the delivery of this car on May 2023 and has been having many issues including but not limited to rear seatbelt malfunction that needed replacement. Recent major issue is constant 'check engine light on' for various issues. Below is the 'F' and 'I' items from 'initial quick test log' as of [XXX] and also attaching detail log file. No resolution or action has been taken after several trips to the dealership in past couple of weeks and not being able to drive due to safety concern. 2023 Mercedes Benz GLC 300. Several Electrical, Braking, Collision, Check Battery related issues noted. At approximately 500 miles on vehicle battery system began sending critical voltage error messages to notification app after the vehicle had been turned off. --Owner recharged battery on front terminals. At various intervals, check engine light would come on while driving, sometimes for days at a time. Sometimes for less than an hour, sometimes for a day or so but not long enough to get into a MB Dealer.---MB has less than 5,000 Miles. At approximately, 3800 miles owner received notification on phone app that the vehicle had been involved in a crash while the vehicle was sitting in a parking spot in an open parking lot with no other vehicles surrounding it. Owner was looking at the vehicle at the time of the supposed crash. Owner walked around and assessed vehicle and called MB. MB online advisors advised to take car in to have inspected for a crash. At 5400 miles vehicle was parked for less than 30 minutes. Owner returned to car and attempted to start. All warning lights, sensors and bells began going off. Check engine, 12Volt electrical system, braking and emergency braking system warning, SOS warning, etc and etc. Owner cycled through all warnings. Vehicle believed it was on when it was off. Vehicle would not start. Owner then received critical 12 Volt battery low warning messages on phone App for car. Owner tried to call MB Me Connect but the operators could not hear owner over loud alarms. Vehicle would not allow owner to lock the car to leave to get assistance. Tow called. Vehicle would not electronically switch to Neutral to be pushed to better location for attempt at jump start. Front terminal would not jump start vehicle but left connected to charge. Vehicle boost used with jump start to finally start car. Next morning Check engine light still on, App sent message battery was low despite battery charger being on car overnight.

The contact owns a 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC300. The contact stated while attempting to start the vehicle, the message "12 Volt Battery Failure, Vehicle Inoperative" was displayed. Later, the contact was able to start the vehicle, but the check engine warning light remained illuminated. Eventually the light shut off and the vehicle operated normally. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who performed a diagnostic test and identified multiple communications errors however, the cause of the errors was not yet determined. The vehicle was not repaired. No further information was available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 400.

This 2023 GLC, a newly redesigned model, has a number of issues. The two most severe are the adaptive speed limit and the lane keeping assist. I had to disable the traffic sign recognition feature because I was on I-95 in Maryland where the posted speed limit was 65. The car abruptly slowed me down to 35 because it saw an exit sign speed limit but I was not on the exit. I was lucky the car behind me didn't hit me. A warning would be good but to brake the vehicle for a speed limit sign seems problematic. The more serious issue is the lane keeping assist. The car is supposed to show green markers when I'm above 37MPH and on a marked road. Normally, one turns red and eases the car back into the lane if I drift. There are 3 settings and mine is set to provide the most warning. If the system works (it sometimes does) I am already on the line at the alert. Typically, it could care less where I am in relation to road markings and will let me drift across lanes with no warning whatsoever. I took the car in to the dealership several times for this. The first time, they said "it's designed so you can't trick it." I didn't buy that. I then took it our for a drive with the service manager. He said "it detected steering input". I then let it drift across the road marking while removing my hands from the wheel and it provided no warning whatsoever (no turn signal use to disable the function). I asked him if he saw steering input that time. He said "I need a video of this". This issue has supposedly been sent to the engineers in Germany but this problem existed when new and it's been weeks with no resolution. This is a backup system but it is something I certainly paid for and would like to know it works should I actually need it. All testing was done in a safe manner and not around traffic. I can only attach pictures but I have videos as well. The dash should not be showing green lane markings on both sides in any of these screenshots from videos.

While driving on highway at 75 mph, the car began slowing down and an alert on the screen said "Stop. Switch off vehicle". Then the alert on the screen showed that the 48 volt system needed to be recharged. The car would not start and had to be towed to the dealership. The dealership says the car was out of gas, but the gauges did not indicated that the fuel was empty, so they will reset all of the sensors, but they still do not know why the car turned off and could not be restarted. They are checking the software because they cannot find anything wrong.

The moon roof will not close. There is also a sloshing sound of water in an unidentified area, it has not rained. The blind spot monitor function of the digital light projection works intermittently and is barely visible marking on the roadway. The exit assist also does not activate the ambient lighting when opening door and car Is approaching in the travel Lane. Digital lights have jagged output light beam and they are the illuminating the roadway as advertised.

The 2023 GLC300 would not start. The internal alarms kept going off, the push-start/stop would not respond. The vehicle was acting like it was being stolen, this lasted for 75 to 80 minutes. The display said 12V On-Board Electrical System Service Required and Blind Spot Assist Inoperative - over and over again. Couldn't get the key to make car lock or unlock. The car would not turn on, it would not turn off. The alarm message was persistent. Had to call a tow-truck to take it in for service. After 3+ hours the car restarted. Mercedes initiated "Campaign: Update Powertrain Control Unit Software #2023060007". They found multiple communication faults in various modules. I was left stranded. This happened 3 times. Twice in front of the house and the 3rd time (when it was towed) I was far from home. The mechanic explained that the car had sensors indicating the car was being stolen so that is why it didn't start. That make no sense! I had the key. I had been driving it that day. It was working fine. A brand new 2023 car should be reliable. It should start when the owner has the key fob in hand. Shutting the car down for hours is a system failure. Please investigate.
