I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FROM PORSCHE (AH10 PORSCHE SAFETY RECALL) FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE FILTER FLANGE OF FUEL PUMP. THE LETTER WAS DATED 14NOV2017. ON 28NOV2017 I TOOK THE CAR TO THE DEALER FOR REPAIR, WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AT NO COST TO ME. THE DEALER DID NOT HAVE THE NEWLY DESIGNED PART, SO HE REPLACED THE DEFECTIVE FILTER FLANGE (WHICH HAD BEEN LEAKING FUEL), REPLACED IT WITH A NEW PART, BUT STILL UNDER THE RECALLED DESIGN, AND CHARGED ME FOR THE REPAIR EVEN THOUGH THE RECALL STATED THE REPAIR WOULD BE DONE AT NO EXPENSE TO VEHICLE OWNERS. THEN IN AUGUST 2018, I WAS NOTIFIED THAT THE NEWLY DESIGNED PARTS WERE DELIVERED, AT WHICH POINT I BROUGHT THE CAR BACK TO THE DEALER AND THE RECALLED PART WAS REMOVED WITH A NEWLY DESIGNED FILTER FLANGE INSTALLED. THIS WAS COMPLETED ON 08AUG2018 AND ON 09AUG2018 I COMPLETED THE PAPERWORK THAT PORSCHE ASKED ME TO COMPLETE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE NOVEMBER 2017 REPAIR WORK. THE PROCESSING OF THIS PAPERWORK WAS SUPPOSED TO TAKE 6-10 WEEKS. IT IS NOW 21 WEEKS AND COUNTING, I HAVE CONTACTED PORSCHE AND THEIR PROCESSING AGENT (GCG), BUT NEITHER IS ABLE TO TELL ME THE STATUS OF THE CLAIM OR WHO IS WORKING ON IT OR WHAT THE ISSUE IS WITH THE PROCESSING OF MY CLAIM. I'M OUT OF POCKET $1500 FOR OVER A YEAR ON A RECALL THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE NO COST TO THE VEHICLE OWNER DUE TO A DANGEROUS DESIGN, WHICH HAD INDEED BEEN LEAKING FUEL AND WHICH COULD HAVE LED TO A DEADLY FIRE.

The contact owns a 2006 Porsche Cayenne. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle started to overheat. The contact stated that she was able to navigate the vehicle off the road. The contact then stated that the coolant had drained from the vehicle. The coolant warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the coolant pipes detached, and the radiator hose needed to be replaced. The contact mentioned that the radiator hose was previously replaced; however, the failure recurred. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.

THE DEALER SOLD THE VEHICLE KNOWING COOLANT PIPES WERE NOT UPDATED. JUST HAD THE VEHICLE SERVICED IN APRIL HAD TO PAY FOR MAINTENANCE THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN DONE BEFORE PURCHASE. THEN 1 JUNE THE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON "CHECK COOLANT LEVEL LOW". THEN THE WARNING LIGHT CAME ON "ENGINE TOO HOT". I WAS FORCED TO PAY FOR REPAIRS WHEN THE MECHANIC RECEIVED A BULLETIN FROM PORSCHE ABOUT THE PROBLEM. CONTACTED PORSCHE AND THEY STATED THE DEALER BRUMOS PORSCHE SHOULD NOT HAVE SOLD THE CAR WITHOUT UPDATING THE COOLANT PIPES. I STILL HAD TO PAY OVER $2,000 DOLLARS. *TR

The contact owns a 2006 Porsche Cayenne S. The contact stated that the front of the vehicle was facing uphill, the contact decided not to reverse down the hill and was attempting to turn the vehicle around to drive down the hill. The contact put the vehicle in park and was hanging over the driver’s front door attempting to see where the edge of the hill was to back up the hill and drive down the hill. However, the gear went into neutral, and the vehicle unexpectedly moved, rolling down the hill. The contact jumped into the moving vehicle and depressed the brake pedal as the back of the vehicle hit the ground smashing the muffler into the vehicle. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer and the contact was informed of the recall. The contact sustained injuries to the chest, left arm and shoulder, and the head. The contact had bruises on both legs and arms, and a large laceration on right shin which required medical attention. In addition, the contact was traumatized. The vehicle was repaired by replacing the plastic bushing on the selector lever cable. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V446000 (Power Train) as a possible solution however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and informed the contact the vehicle would be repaired and the vehicle and paying for the damages. The contact was provided a claim number however, the contact was unsuccessful in reaching a representative. The approximate failure mileage was 158,322.

IN 2013 I HAD THE REAR DIFFERENTIAL REPLACED FOR 1600 NOW I AM EXPERIENCING VIBRATION AT INITIAL TAKEOFF TOOK IT TO THE DEALER WAS TOLD IT IS THE REAR DRIVESHAFT THAT NEEDS TO REPLACED AGAIN AND THE COST IS 2400.00. PER THE WEB THERE HAS BEEN A LOT OF COMPLAINTS FOR THIS SAME PROBLEM WHY HASN'T THERE BEEN A RECALL? WHAT IS THE PROCESS TO GET A RECALL FOR THIS PROBLEM?

I WAS DRIVING THE TRUCK AND ALL OF A SUDDEN I HEARD A KNOCKING NOISE THAT SOUNDED LIKE THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR WAS GOING TO FALL OFF. I MADE IT HOME AND CALLED THE DEALER. I WAS ADVISED THAT THIS WAS A COMMON PROBLEM AND THAT IT WAS THE CARDON SHAFT AND IT WAS A COMMON PROBLEM. THE JOB I WAS ADVISED WAS A $2,000 JOB. I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO DRIVE THE TRUCK. I FINALLY HAD IT REPAIRED FOR ROUGHLY $900. VERY UNHAPPY...

A dealer was contacted. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and it was diagnosed with a crack in the filter flange informed the contact was informed that the filter flange needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V576000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and confirmed that the VIN was not included in the recall. The failure mileage was 135,000.

The contact owns a 2006 Porsche Cayenne. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V576000 (Fuel System, Gasoline). The contact stated that the dealer retrieved the vehicle from the residence to perform the recall repair; however, the dealer confirmed that they were unable to access the fuel pump and fuel filter due to the corroded locking collars. The contact stated that after receiving the vehicle from the dealer, a fuel odor was detected while exiting the vehicle. Additionally, there was gasoline leaking underneath the rear driver's side tire onto the ground while the contact was at the gas station to refuel. The vehicle was towed to the residence. The contact became aware of condensation in the headlights and that the headlights were very dim. The contact made an appointment with a dealer and had the recall repair performed; however, the headlights were still dim while in operation. The vehicle was returned to the dealer however, no additional assistance was provided. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. THERE ARE OVER 3,000 COMPLAINTS ABUT THE AIR BAGS ON THIS MODEL ON THE INTERNET. I TOOK SUV INTO DEALER TO SEE IF AIR BAG WAS A RESULT OF AN ACCIDENT THE WEEK BEFORE. DEALER CHARGED ME $150. DEALER SAID NO IT WAS A DEFECTIVE AIR BAG IN STEERING WHEEL. I CONTACTED USA HEADQUARTERS OF PORSCHE, BUT THEY SAID THERE WAS NO RECALL YET EVEN THOUGH THERE ARE OVER 3,000 VEHICLES WITH THIS DEFECT REPORTED ON THE INTERNET BY AN ATTORNEY. I CONTACTED THE NY ATTORNEY GENERAL, THEY TOLD THE DEALER THEY SHOULD REFUND MY $150 AND REPAIR MY VEHICLE. THE DEALER REFUSED. NY ATTORNEY GENERAL SAID I SHOULD TAKE THEM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT. THOSE VEHICLES ARE KNOWN AS THE 'CLASS VEHICLES' AND THE INDIVIDUALS WHO OWNED OR LEASED SUCH CLASS VEHICLES ARE KNOWN AS 'CLASS MEMBERS.' PORSCHE CARS NORTH AMERICA ("PCNA") WAS NOT FOUND LIABLE FOR ANY OF THE CLAIMS ALLEGED IN THIS LAWSUIT. THE PARTIES INSTEAD VOLUNTARILY REACHED A SETTLEMENT. AGAIN, BOTH PORSCHE LOCAL AND PORSCHE CORPORATE WERE CONTACTED AFTER DISCOVERING THROUGH A MERE GOOGLE SEARCH, WHICH WILL ILLUSTRATE THIS LARGE ISSUE WITH PORSCHE CAYENNE VEHICLES INCURRING PCM FAILURES IN DROVES. TURNS OUR THE DRIVE TRAIN BROKE AT 74,000 MILES. WHICH SEEMS IS A SYSTEMIC PROBLEM WITH ALL 2006 CAYENNES. $2400 TO REPAIR. THEN LAST WEEK THE COOLANT WATER PIPES BROKE DRAINING ALL THE COOLANT FLUID OUT OF THE CAR WHILE IT WAS BEING DRIVEN IN NORMAL TRAFFIC. TOWED TO THE DEALER. I SOON LEARNED THAT THERE HAD BEEN 8 CLASS ACTION LAW SUITES FILED ON THIS PROBLEM IN I BELIEVE 2010 AND PORSCHE SET ASIDE $45M WITHOUT ADMITTING GUILT TO END THE LAW SUIT AND TO FIX AFFECTED CARS; HOWEVER, YOU HAD TO HAVE IT FIXED BY THE END OF 2013. NOBODY TOLD ME OF THIS PROBLEM, ESPECIALLY MY DEALER WHERE THE CAR SITS TODAY AS I TRY TO GET EITHER THE DEALER OF PORSCHE OF NA TO SUPPORT THE COST OF THE FIX. SO FAR THEY ARE NOT WILLING. DUE TO THE IGNITION FAILURE, THE VEHICLE WAS NOT USING THE PROPER AMOUNT OF FUEL. THE CONTACT WAS ALSO TOLD THIS WAS A KNOWN FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THE ENTIRE DIGITAL DASHBOARD DISPLAY SYSTEM FAILED AND NO LONGER DISPLAYED ANY READINGS. THE VEHICLE WAS ALSO EXPERIENCING A FINAL FAILURE IN WHICH A VALVE BODY IN THE TRANSMISSION FAILED, CAUSING THE VEHICLE INTERMITTENTLY SURGE FORWARD.
