The back seat driver's side door shut with such impact as to amputate the finger from an adult. Vehicle was parked on incline when front driver's side door shut, the back door also shut. There were no safety features to protect fingers from the hinge side of back door. The force of the door slamming and lack of any space between the hinge side of the door and its frame caused my middle finger from the top knuckle up to be cut off completely thus amputated from hand.

The power liftgate suddenly collapsed while I was standing underneath it. It dropped on top of my head pretty hard as it was a sudden drop of the liftgate. My safety was/is at risk and has caused injury to my head. Currently experiencing headaches. As condition progresses, I will be seeking medical attention. It is available for inspection. I have recorded a video of the problem. The problem is recurring and reproducing. I have not taken it to a dealer or independent service center today (9/13/2021 date of incident) as the weather is bad in my area (experiencing high rain and winds from a tropical storm). I will have it taken in on 9/14/2021. The vehicle has not been inspected by anyone. There were no warning indicators or other symptoms prior to the initial collapse.

The contact stated while the vehicle was parked in the driveway and the contact and his wife were taking groceries out of the vehicle, the rear liftgate suddenly fell and hit the contact’s wife on the back of the head. The contact’s wife had a severe headache with dizziness. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the liftgate struts failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 97,000.

About 1 month ago While making a slow speed turn from a parking lot to a street the steering seemed to lock for no reason. After a brief moment the steering resumed normal function. I inspected the ignition switch and found nothing abnormal. Checked power steering fluid level, it was in the operating range. Unable to duplicate the issue at that time. On 3-9-23 while driving the vehicle started making an unusual noise coming from the engine. It seemed to be consistent with engine rpm. I believe it was the power steering pump. After stopping and starting the engine the noise was gone. A few minutes later while driving at slow speed the steering locked again, or the resistance was too great for my wife to overcome.

THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE POWER STEERING PUMP AND STEERING GEAR VALVE HOUSING NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO NIELSEN CHEVROLET (1 US-46, DOVER, NJ 07801) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THERE WAS A FEE FOR THE DIAGNOSTIC TESTING AND REPAIRS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURE WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. WHILE GOING UNDER 10MPH ON A ROADWAY, (3) DIFFERENT OCCASIONS, MY STEERING WHEEL COMPLETELY LOCKED UP. I BRAKED AND THEN AFTER A FEW SECONDS IT RESUMED STEERING. GOT HOME AND MY HUSBAND CHECKED THE POWER STEERING FLUID, ALL FULL. CALLED LOCAL DEALER AND THEY SAID THERE IS NO RECALL ON MY SPECIFIC VEHICLE BUT MANY SURROUNDING YEARS HAVE THE SAME ISSUE AND HAVE BEEN RECALLED.

Back up camera When in reverse the backup camera screen is black or shows very little light making it unusable. Unable to see objects or persons behind vehicle. Despite cleaning camera. No visual damage noted. * It is available for inspection upon request. * Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? NO * Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? NO *Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? NO , first appeared over a year ago.

We have had this recall fixed TWICE but it still reflects in the NHTSA database as an open recall. The first time we had this fixed was in 2017. We had it fixed again on May 19, 2023 and yet it STILL reflects as open in NHTSA. I am active duty military and require proof of clean vehicle recall history to ship this vehicle to Hawaii as part of a permanent change of station move. Please assist ASAP with clearing this recall requirement.

Unsure of cause, but just lost our 2012 Acadia SLT2 AWD to a FIRE! Driver & passenger jumped out. Fire Dept rolled two trucks to extinguish. Parts melted onto the pavement. No prior warning.

My air conditioning stopped working and the power steering line got so hot that it melted a pinhole in my AC line so all the freon would leak out. the power steering hose is so close that when it gets hot it melts the aluminum air conditioning line. The only way to fix it is to buy a aftermarket line and splice it together with the damaged a/c line. And the safety Hazzard is that if you're in hot car,you'll be more tempted to pull out in front of someone because you need to get some air. If you look at the setup you will see the engineer made a mistake, that's why they changed the design in later years,I think they should be responsible for making such a preventable mistake.

THE SIDE CURTAIN AIRBAGS DEPLOYED COMING UP MY DRIVEWAY. THERE WAS NO COLLISION AND MY VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING ONLY 8 MILES PER HOUR. The transmission has all the symptoms of a broken wave plate and/or torque convertor as reported in the first generation T75 transmission service bulletin. This started occurring at 120K. I know the service bulletin was for the 2007-2009 models but the 2012 had the same exact transmission and waveplate. The car feels like it's going to shudder out and die on the highway.

I noticed shuddering while driving my car and when I took it to my mechanic upon test driving and inspecting it he realized the torque converter is not strong enough for the size of the car. He informed me driving it with the improper size will cause it to shudder and accelerate or not accelerate correctly while driving and cause slipping while shifting gears. Those issue have been happening the entire time I've had it and if the car slips and goes too fast or slips and loses power it is a danger to me and the other cars on the road. There were no codes or warning indicators while this is happening.

We just purchased this 2012 gmc acadia about 30 days ago and every day we drive it we have this issue.. from a complete stop when pressing the gas the truck feels like it has no power starting to go until the rpm’s each maybe 4500 then the truck will jerk and studder through the intersections. i feel like we are going to be in a MAJOR accident while proceeding through intersections. the dealer states there is nothing they can do. there is absolutely something wrong when it jerks and stutters to move

The timing chains went on the engine at 148,000 miles. Which is known for 3.6l engines. Gm needs to own up to their faulty manufacturing on these engines. I need this vehicle for my children. This is the second time I have to put another engine in this truck. Thankfully when I purchased this vehicle it had a warranty but it only cover so much so I had to put a jasper motor in it instead of a brand new one from GM itself and now this jasper motor died after only driving it 22,000 miles and getting my oil changed every 3,000 miles. Single mom of soon to be 3 children i can't afford another 3 row seating Vehicle.

The message "Engine power reduced and service traction control" was displayed temporarily. The contact managed to pull over the shoulder of the road and had the vehicle towed to a local independent service lot where it was diagnosed with metal debris in the engine which required an engine replacement. The local dealer was contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 128,000.

While driving the vehicle it just shut off for no reason which created a safety hazard! We were then forced to have it towed to a nearby repair shop, because we did not want to take the chance to start the vehicle and have the same thing happen again. The repair shop did their diagnosis and informed us it was a broken timing chain but couldn’t tell us if any other damage was done to the motor, without completely tearing it down. The decision was made to wait and it remains sitting at the repair shop.

THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY'S ARE MELTED AND HEADLIGHTS DON'T WORK. SEEMS THIS IS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH GMC HEADLIGHTS IN YEARS PAST THAT THEY CONTINUE TO NOT ADDRESS. I AM FURIOUS THAT DESPITE REPORTS AND RECALLS ON THIS ISSUE FROM MANY YEARS AND MANY MAKES AND MODELS THEY HAVE NOT ADDRESSED AND CONTINUE TO AVOID RECALLING ALL VEHICLES WITH THIS GARBAGE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY, THAT CAUSES HEADLIGHTS TO FAIL AND INCREASES RISK OF CAR FIRE. I WANT THIS REPAIRED BY THIS GARBAGE COMPANY AND SOMETHING DONE TO MAKE THEM STOP UTILIZING THESE UNSAFE AND FAULTY ASSEMBLIES.

WATER COLLECTS INSIDE THE ELECTRICAL CONNECTIONS BETWEEN THE DOORS AND BODY. EVENTUALLY CAUSES NO SOUND FROM ALL SPEAKERS EXCEPT THE SMALL TWEETERS ON THE A PILLARS. THEN THE WARNING BEEPING FROM BACKUP SENSOR CANNOT BE HEARD. THIS PUTS PEDESTRIANS IN DANGER ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FIRST HAPPENS AND DRIVERS ARE NOT AWARE OF THE PROBLEM YET. WIPERS SUDDENLY STOPPED DURING A HEAVY RAIN AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS. MY WIFE AND THREE CHILDREN WERE ON BOARD. THE STUD THAT CONNECTS THE WIPER LINKAGE TO THE MOTOR HAD BROKEN. UPON RESEARCHING THIS, GM HAD ISSUED A RECALL TO AFFECTED VEHICLES IN STATES THAT RECEIVED HEAVY SNOWFALL, WEST VIRGINIA WAS INCLUDED AND WAS WHERE THIS VEHICLE SPENT MOST OF ITS LIFE. AFTER CALLING GM THEY TOLD ME THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING FOR ME SINCE THE VEHICLE IS NOW GARAGED IN TENNESSEE.

MY GMC ACADIA DENALI HAS A LITTLE OVER 80,000 MILES. I HAVE OTHER VEHICLES FOR EVERYDAY USE SO I ONLY DRIVE THE ACADIA FOR LONG DISTANCES OVER THE WEEKEND. THE VEHICLE SITS IN THE GARAGE WHEN NOT IN USE. I HAVE HAD NO ISSUES WITH THE VEHICLE UNTIL I TOOK IT TO THE DEALER TO HAVE ONE OF THE HEAD LIGHT BULBS ON THE PASSENGER SIDE REPLACED. AFTER I PICKED THE VEHICLE UP I DROVE IT TO NEW YORK AND ON MY WAY BACK (THE NEXT DAY) HAD THE SERVICE LIGHT COME ON TO LET ME KNOW THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH THE BATTERY. I LOOKED AT THE BATTERY INDICATOR IN THE DASH AND NOTICED THE CHARGE WAS GETTING LOWER AND LOWER. BY THE TIME I GOT TO BALTIMORE, MD THE INDICATOR WAS BELOW 12 AND THE VEHICLE FINALLY SHUT OFF. TOWED THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY FIRST REPLACED THE BATTERY BUT THAT DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM. THEY THEN REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR. I DROVE THE VEHICLE THREE TIMES AND IT WORKED FINE. THREE WEEKS LATER I TRIED TO START THE VEHICLE AND HAD NO BATTERY POWER. TRIED JUMPING THE VEHICLE BUT IT WOULD NOT GATHER ENOUGH POWERE TO START THE ENGINE. HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO THE DEALER. THEY SAID THAT THE NEW BATTERY THAT WAS INSTALLED HAD A BAD CELL. I AM AFRAID THAT'S NOT THE ISSUE; IT'S OBVIOUS THAT SOMETHING IS DRAINING THE BATTERY WHEN THE CAR IS NOT IN OPERATION AND IT ALL STARTED WHEN I HAD THE HEADLAMP. I THINK GM IS AWARE OF ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH THE ACADIA. I JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE I PUT THIS COMPLAINT OUT THERE. I AM NOT CONFIDENT THAT THIS PROBLEM WON'T OCCUR THREE WEEKS FROM NOW.

My 2012 GMC Acadia has had numerous issues that all lead to the fuel pump assembly. Three separate times, my cars ignition has just shut off while driving. When trying to accelerate from a stop, the car will struggle to move then jump forward nearly hitting the car infront of me. Stabilitrak warning comes on. Car randomly jerks while driving. Car will randomly not want to start but eventually does after multiple attempts.

2012 ACADIA NEEDED A REPLACEMENT OF THE NUMBER 2 FUEL INJECTOR IN 2015, NUMBER 4 IN 2016, AND AT THE END OF 2017 REQUIRED ALL 6 REPLACED, PLUS THE FUEL PUMP. ALL 3 TIMES THESE ISSUED OCCURRED WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON THE FREEWAY WHEN THE VEHICLE WARNINGS OF SERVICE STABILITRAK, SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL, AND REDUCED ENGINE POWER STARTED GOING OFF. THE CAR THEN BEGAN TO SMOKE HEAVILY FROM THE EXHAUST PIPE AND IT WAS REQUIRED TO LIMP OFF THE FREEWAY, PRAYING THAT I WOULDN'T BE HIT AS I WENT FROM 75 TO 40 IN SECONDS.

AUTOMOBILE STALLED WHILE DRIVING AND WOULD NOT START. SERVICE COMPLETED AT CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP ON JUNE 12 TO REPLACE FUEL PUMP CONTROL MODULE, WHICH WAS A RECALLED PART ON GMC ACADIA'S. I CALLED GM AND WAS INFORMED MY VIN WAS NOT PART OF RECALL AND WAS TOLD I WOULD BE CALLED BACK WITH AN EXPLANATION WHY. I NEVER RECEIVED A RETURN PHONE CALL. CAR STALLED AGAIN WHILE DRIVING AND WOULD NOT START. SERVICE COMPLETED AT GMC DEALERSHIP ON AUGUST 12 TO REPLACE FUSE BLOCK THAT CONTROLS FUEL PUMP. BROUGHT TO CHEVROLET DEALERSHIP FOR SERVICE BUT AGAIN THEY FOUND NO SERVICE CODE. WAS INFORMED WITH THE NUMBER OF MILES ON VEHICLE, 60,100, I SHOULD NOT BE HAVING THESE ISSUES. CAR STALLED AGAIN ON SEPTEMBER 10 AND WILL NOT RESTART. WILL NEED TO, AGAIN, BRING IN FOR SERVICE. COMPLAINT IS IN REGARD TO VEHICLE RECALL FOR MY YEAR AND MODEL, BUT NOT FOR MY SPECIFIC VIN, EVEN THOUGH RECALL PROBLEM EXISTS WITH MY VEHICLE. HAVE HAD CAR SERVICED AT GM DEALERSHIPS TWICE AT EXPENSE OF OVER $1,000 FOR THE SAME ISSUE AND ISSUE PERSISTS. GM HAS NOT RESPONDED AND GM DEALERSHIPS HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO SOLVE PROBLEM.

CHASSIS ELECTRONIC CONTROL MODULE INTERNAL CONTAMINATION - GMC RECALL 14515 - THIS IS A RECALL ON A LOT OF GM CARS AND TRUCKS WHICH INCLUDES THE 2012 GMC ACADIA BUT MY VIN DOESN'T QUALIFY. THIS CONTROL MODULE IS EXPOSED TO WATER AND ALL OF THE ELEMENTS WHICH IS WHY THERE IS A RECALL. OURS FAILED YESTERDAY AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS AND THE CAR DIED AT 60 MPH. WE WERE LUCKY TO BE HEADING TO THE EXIT WHEN IT DIED AND NOT INVOLVED IN A CRASH. This 2012 GMC Acadia denali with close to 160k has been in the shop several times due to it randomly stalling out It kept basically locking me out from starting the car a "service anti-theft system" would flash across the dash followed by a flashing check engine light along with a lock and key symbol. A local GM repair shop had it in 3 times for them to tell me they couldn't figure it out or get the vehicle to "act up" they cut me two new keys and tightened up what they claimed to be loose battery cables just for the vehicle to die/stall with a no crank no start happen literally 10 minutes down the road after paying almost 600$ for repairs and that it was towed back 3 times for the same issue spanning over two months of them not being able to figure out the issue. Salvador ended up replacing the anti-theft control module after the 3rd time having to tow it back and forth just to leave the shop and I couldn't start the vehicle the next day after handing over almost another 400$ and less than 15/20 miles of drive time. GM needs to get this issue figured out!!! There anti-theft system locks people out from starting their vehicles more than it does actually preventing actual theft. This will eventually end up causing a major crash at an intersection or highway if the anti-theft system keeps failing it just randomly cuts out power to the engine while driving.

THANK GOD I SAID MY PRAYERS THAT DAY, AND THREE CARS THAT ALMOST PLOWED INTO THE BACK OF MY TRUCK AND ANY ACCIDENTS WERE AVOIDED. I was driving 40 mph, when warnings appeared on my dash. "Service Stabalizor control", "Traction control turned off", "power is reduced", and the check engine light came on. I lost power as if engine quit, no acceration, but then came back intermittent. If I had been on a highway going 65 mph, in heavy traffic, there may have been an accident. Power steering remained on. I took to an auto service business, and they were unable to find the problem. Code indicated a fuel pressure problem.

The brakes on the vehicle have failed 5-7 times within the past year and a half. By "failed" I mean that the pedal was touching the floor of the vehicle and did NOT engage. Mechanic was unable to replicate the failure any of the three times we took it in to get it looked at. The brake pads, rotors, and fluid lines have all been checked multiple times and are all in good condition. The master cylinder was replaced and the brakes worked well for about 6-7 months. Approximately 3 weeks ago, the brakes failed entirely, yet again, this time driving on a highway at 70mph. The emergency brake had to be used in order to get the vehicle to slow down. The vehicle was then dropped off at a local dealership, who has kept it for about 2 weeks and states that they cannot replicate the problem when they take it for a test drive. We have 2 young children and this has been our primary family vehicle. There has not been a check engine light or any other warning lamp AT ALL.

I HAVE 2 ONGOING ISSUES, 1ST IS THE CAR WILL BE DRIVING FINE THEN GET A CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND HAVE A CODE FOR CYLINDER MISFIRE. CAR WAS AT DEALER MULTIPLE TIMES WITH ISSUE AND COULD NOT DUPLICATE WHILE UNDER EXTENDED WARRANTY. MYSTERIOUSLY THE INTAKE HAS TO COME APART AND BE REWORKED SINCE THE WARRANTY EXPIRED, AND STILL HAS SAME ISSUES. THE 2ND AND MORE CONCERNING ISSUE IS THE POWER STEERING. HERE IS WHAT THEY WROTE ON THE BILL: C/S VEHICLE MAKING A SQUEAKING NOISE WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL AT LOWER SPEEDS FOUND TO BE LEAKING TO A DROP ON TO OTHER COMPONENTS. REPLACED STEERING RACK AND CLEANED FLUIDS. THEN THEY ALSO DID THIS SERVICE: C/S TO FIX OIL PNA LEAK FOUND IN MPVI AS WELL AS FRONT COVER TO ENGINE FOUND TO BREAKING. I STARTED HAVING STEERING PROBLEMS WHEN I WOULD SLOW DOWN TO MAKE A TURN ON A CITY STREET. THE STEERING WAS VERY TIGHT. UNSAFE CONDITION WITHOUT WARNING. I HAD THE POWER STEERING UNIT REPLACED, THEN I WAS TOLD THE RACK AND PINION HAD METAL IN THEM AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO FLUSH OUT THE METAL. I PICKED UP THE CAR TODAY AFTER A COST OF $2,200. DROVE HOME ON CITY STREETS, SAME PROBLEM ONLY TIGHTER TURNING. CALLED THE MECHANIC AND WAS TOLD TO RETURN THE CAR. BACK IN JANUARY 2017 I TOOK MY CAR IN TO HAVE THE POWER LIFTGATE RECALL WORK DONE AT MY DEALER. ON 3/1/17 IN THE EVENING, WHILE LOADING GROCERIES IN THE BACK OF MY CAR THE POWER LIFTGATE FELL FULL-FORCE RIGHT ONTO MY HEAD AND PUSHED DOWN ONTO MY NECK (AND IT IS A VERY HEAVY LIFTGATE!). THANKFULLY I DID NOT PASS OUT. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED MY SERVICE GUY TO LET HIM KNOW WHAT HAD HAPPENED. I ALSO BROUGHT THE CAR IN TO THE DEALER THE VERY NEXT DAY. AFTER NOT FEELING WELL THE NIGHT BEFORE, I WENT URGENT CARE, WHO IN TURN SENT ME TO THE ER FOR A CT SCAN OF MY HEAD. I SUFFERED A CONCUSSION. The contact owns a 2012 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that shortly after purchasing the vehicle, the check engine warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who discovered that the catalytic convertor was faulty and needed to be replaced. The mechanic also inspected the vehicle and determined that the steering rack, front struts, and suspension control arms were also faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The local dealer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The manufacturer was not contacted. The failure mileage was 130,000.

Ratle sound in the engine thinking it may be the timing chain. Code p0430 came on stating catalytic converter bank 2 needs replaced. We replaced o2 sensor downstream on bank 2 code was cleared by shop. After driving a few miles same check engine light came on and i took it to the shop they hooked it up to run the code and it was the same p0430 again

I was driving along [XXX] . I stopped at Walmart and shopped for about 2 hours. I was Leaving Walmart and was stopped at a red light at the exit from Walmart [XXX] and traction control light comes on and a message came up and stated traction control off and to service stability control and the vehicle loses power right at the light. I checked everything I could and dis connect the battery for about 30 minutes and connected the battery back up vehicle still would not start. After sitting there for 3 hours the vehicle starts up. A week later the same thing happens again. I had to go through all the steps again so after a couple of hours. The vehicle started up. A few days later it happens shin but this time I'm at a stop sign on a busy road. I called Road side service for a tow. No one showed up so I went through Ll those same steps of disconnecting the battery and hooking it back up after a couple of hours and it stated up. I drove it home and started doing some research and found something saying to change the brake pedal position sensor so I done that and it worked for a few days and started doing the same thing all over again. S week later I drive it to the store and got almost home and the vehicle shut down again and would not start back up. I had it towed to my uncle shop Nd he done a diagnostic on it and got about 4 or 5 codes. All of those things are very expensive to purchase. I just ran the Vin to check for recalls on the vehicle but couldn't find any but it should have been a lot of recalls because there are so many of these vehicles the exact same model and year with trouble with stability control ND brake and traction control issues. All the issues they hD on this car thT I have should not have been sold to anyone except the manufacturer. I wish I could just get my money back that I paid for it. $4700.00 not included in the work I had done like the cv axles replace on both sides in the front. The contact stated that he was able to stop the hatch from fully closing to prevent the hatch from braking the windshield. The contact owns a 2012 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that while driving 70 MPH, the RPM would rise to 4,000 however, the vehicle failed to respond as intended. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact pulled over to the side of the road and inspected the vehicle and became aware of smoke coming from the engine compartment. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed that the engine block, camshaft, reverse gear, and transmission housing needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 158,000.

I HAVE A 2012 GMC acadia denali with about 147,000 miles on it and the "Service Air Bag" light is on I brought it somewhere to have the code read and the said there is about 5 different codes popping up for the issue... I've called auto shops around me locally and can't find anyone that is willing to look at it. I just want to know what my best options are as to getting this issue resolved. As I have never been in an accident so I don't know why the air bag light is on.

No warning light when transmission went out. Traction control/stabiltrac service light came on, doors locking and unlocking, not stating what gear acadia was in. Check engine light eventually came on, after it stalled twice on highway. Vehicle is at gmc dealership service department and they are saying its not communicating and are checking wiring harness wires. I have replaced transmission and torque converter and now i dont know what to expect now. Only had it for 3 years so far. I almost got rear ended when it stalled twice before backfiring and a rough swift shift.

The automatic passenger side window does not work anymore, it went out a couple months after I bought it. I have always done maintenance on my vehicle, oil changes, tires, etc. and the timing chain went out on it for some unknown reason. Very pricey to fix. I would hate to be stranded with my 6 grandchildren with. With all the complaints on the timing chain, this should be a recall.

Was waiting on dealership to catch up to bring in for a transmission problem. I know it is transmission related due to not wanting to shift properly and the fact my friend has same make and model only about 100000 more miles than mine does was doing same symptoms and she took to 3 or 4 mechanics and all said nothing wrong..no codes show up...needless to say after about 2 months it stalled out on her on interstate with speed limit 75 and she barely moving. I myself was at a sharp curve in turn lane waiting on traffic and when I braked to stop it made horrible sound and felt like brake was pushed through floorboard. When I was clear to go i push accelerator down to the floor and am barely inching along and am now stuck in the road in a 90 curve where its hard to see traffic coming. This was very scary and traumatic having this happen. I'm just glad it was only myself and the other drivers were being observant and paying attention to the road. This has happened a lot compared to research on blogs car complaints websites. The common problem is it doesn't give a code when diagnostic checked. 99% of cases show they best guess or find something else wrong and you pay 3 or 4 charges until you finally convince them its the transmission and then you're out 5000. Not counting the average 4500 you've already pd due to not listening to the driver of their vehicle and causing unnecessary charges and leaving you without a vehicle too long that isn't necessary.

Next, Service Stabilitrack System appears and I almost come to a complete stop, Engine Running at Reduced Power appears. I barely made it to the side of the road, traffic was heavy at the time. This is apparently a common issue with other Owners and could be a number of different sensors, parts malfunctioning.

ADDITIONALLY, THE AIR BAG SENSOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED WHILE DRIVING AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKING TO THE SAME DEALER, WHERE THE FRONT PASSENGER'S AIR BAG SENSOR WAS REPLACED. I WAS DRIVING BOTH TIMES, AND BOTH TIMES THE BRAKES GRIND AND I COULD FEEL LOOSENESS IN THE GAS PETAL AND IT SQUEAKS LIKE AN OLD SPRING BED. CAUSED MOLDY SMELL, PARK BRAKE ON/OFF INDICATOR LIGHT AND BRAKE ON WARNING ALARM NOW NOT WORKING. ADVISED BY GLASS CO. AND DEALERSHIP THAT SUNROOF IS CAUSING LEAK FROM CLOGGED DRAIN LINES AND FAULTY SEALS. NO RECALLS OR TSB'S BUT HUNDREDS OF OTHER OWNERS HAVE HAD THE SAME ISSUE FROM 2008-2013 MODELS. THE FIRST THING THAT I WANT TO SAY IS THAT SOME OF THE RECALLS ARE NOT FOR THE 2012 MODEL BUT MINE HAS HAD THE ISSUES WITH THE FUEL MODULER NOT READING CORRECTLY AS IN ONE RECALL AND ALSO THE SHIFTER CLIP CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO NOT BE IN THE CORRECT GEAR. WHAT DO I DO? ALSO THE SECOND THING IS THE A/C BROKE WITHIN THE 3RD YEAR OF HAVING IT. THE THIRD THING TO GO WRONG IS THE POWER STEERING. IT COMES AND GOES BUT AS LONG AS I PUSH ON THE GAS I HAVE POWER STEERING. 6/18/15 LIFTGATE CAME CRASHING DOWN ON MY HEAD SO THE STRUTS WERE REPLACED AT DEALERSHIP FOR 116.72 PLUS TAX. THERE IS A RECALL #15240 FOR THIS REPAIR. BUT MY CAR WAS BUILT ON 3/8/2012 WHICH IS 9 DAYS AFTER THE RECALL DATES YOU SUBMITTED. THIS DATE NEEDS TO BE EXTENDED. MORE INVESTIGATION NEEDS TO BE LOOKED INTO THIS AND OBVIOUSLY MY CAR IN WITHIN THE PARAMETERS OF THIS RECALL. ARE THEY WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO GET HIT SO HARD IN THE HEAD AND BE KILLED. I WOULD HOPE NOT. ON DEC 12, 2014 SECONDLY THERE IS A PROBLEM THAT AT 46000 MILES THE STEERING PUMP WENT OUT DEALERSHIP TOLD ME TO KEEP THE RECEIPT THAT THEY ARE SEEING MORE OF THIS TYPE OF REPAIR. 1. THE POWER LIFT GATE ON MY VEHICLE FAILED ON 7/23/15. WHEN IT OPENED, IT WENT ALL OF THE WAY UP AUTOMATICALLY AND THEN CAME CRASHING BACK DOWN AND NEARLY HIT ME IN THE HEAD. 2. THE FAILURE FROM THAT POINT ON HAPPENS EACH AND EVERY TIME SO I HAD TO TURN THE FEATURE OFF. 3. I CONTACTED BOTH GM DIRECTLY AND SPOKE TO A LOCAL DEALERSHIP TWICE (HARE CHEVROLET IN NOBLESVILLE, IN) AND BOTH TOLD ME THAT THERE IS A RECALL ON THIS ITEM BUT NO SOLUTION AND SUBSEQUENTLY NO PARTS HAVE BEEN MANUFACTURED TO CORRECT PROBLEM. I WAS TOLD THAT I COULD FIX IT OUT OF MY OWN POCKET (WITH THE SAME SUSPECTED FAULTY PARTS) BUT THERE WAS NO GUARANTEE I WOULD BE REIMBURSED AS A RESULT I HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO USE MY POWER LIFT GATE IN FOUR MONTHS NOW. I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE IN AUGUST WITH NO UPDATES IN THREE MONTHS. I SPOKE TO THE DEALERSHIP ON 10/31/15 AND WAS TOLD THERE WAS NO UPDATE ON THIS RECALL.

ON APRIL 2ND WHILE DRIVING HOME FROM WORK, WAS STOPPING AT A STOP LIGHT AND ALL OF THE SUDDEN THE DRIVER'S SEAT JUST JERKED LIKE IT WAS COMING UNBOLTED. IT NOW MAKES A SQUEAKING NOISE AND THE SEAT HAS GIVE TO IT, LIKE ITS NOT BOLTED DOWN REAL TIGHT. I FEAR IT IS VERY UNSAFE. WE DO NOT EVEN DRIVE THE CAR EVERY DAY. THE MAIN REASON I HAVE NOT REPAIRED IT YET IS BECAUSE GM HAS A HISTORY, OF SAYING IT IS NOT A MANUFACTURERS ISSUE. AND I WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR THE REPAIR. I HAVE HAD TO HAVE IT AT THE REPAIR SHOP 4 TIMES ALREADY FOR AN AIR BAG ISSUE. THEN HAD TO TAKE IT IN FOR A RUSTED FUSE IN ONE OF THE HEADLAMPS, ANOTHER ISSUE THEY TOLD ME WAS NOT A MANUFACTURERS PROBLEM AND I HAD TO PAY FOR IT. THE ORIGINAL LIGHT BULB WAS STILL INSTALLED IN THE VEHICLE. OF COURSE IT WAS A MANUFACTURERS ISSUE. GM ALSO HAS MANY REASONS FOR NOT MAKING RECALLS ON THEIR VEHICLES. SO AT THIS POINT I FEEL I DON'T HAVE MANY PLACES TO TURN. I AM VERY NERVOUS ABOUT DRIVING THIS VEHICLE THAT WE PAY GOOD MONEY FOR AND GM DOES NOT WANT TO TAKE OWNERSHIP FOR THE ISSUES WITH THE PRODUCT. I HAVE BEEN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH MY VEHICLE FOR A WHILE NOW. THE CAR WILL CUT OFF IN TRAFFIC I HAVE GOTTEN STUCK IN THE SEATBELT AS WELL AS TODAY WHILE I AM TRYING TO MAKE A LEFT THE CAR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AS I WAS HITTING THE GAS PEDAL I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED. I HAVE TAKEN MY VEHICLE TO [XXX] ON ANOTHER OCCASION BECAUSE I HAD JUST LEFT THE GAS STATION FILLING THE TANK UP I GOT IN THE TRUCK PULLED OUT OF THE GAS STATION AND THE GAS GAUGE STARTED GOING UP AND DOWN MY OVERHEAD LIGHTS CAME ON AND THE CAR JUST DIED OUT IN 45 MPH TRAFFIC I TOOK IT IN AND ALL THEY KEEP TELLING ME IS IF THEY CAN'T DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM THEY CAN NOT HELP ME HOW IS THIS SAFE NUMBER ONE NUMBER TWO I DO NOT KNOW WHEN THE VEHICLE IS GOING TO CUT OFF. I HAVE HAD THE SPEEDOMETER JUST GO UP AND DOWN AS I'M DRIVING AS WELL AS THE RADIO WOULD JUST START TO SHIFT FROM AUXILIARY TO CD TO RADIO WITHOUT EVER BEING TOUCHED. EITHER I GOT A LEMON, WHICH IS DEFINITELY A POSSIBILITY, OR THERE ARE SIGNIFICANT ISSUES W/ GMC AS A MANUFACTURER WHICH IS EVIDENT. THE AMERICAN CAR INDUSTRY JUST WON'T DO BUSINESS DIFFERENTLY BUT THEN AGAIN, THEY DON'T HAVE TO- THEY GET BAILED OUT BY THE GOVERNMENT REPEATEDLY. I LEASED THIS VEHICLE IN OCTOBER, 2012. THE ISSUES CITED ABOVE, WERE RELATED TO 3 BAD FUEL IGNITION VALVES, THEY WERE REPLACED FINALLY AFTER I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO 2 DIFFERENT DEALERS AND NEARLY 6 MONTHS OF COMPLAINING. THE ISSUE WAS WHEN ACCELERATING, THE RPMS WOULD STICK AT AROUND 5-6 WHEN I WAS TRAVELING AROUND SPEEDS OF 45 MPH TO 60 MPH. THE TRANSMISSION WOULDN'T SHIFT INTO THE NEXT GEAR. THIS WAS HIGHWAY DRIVING, BUT WILL HAPPEN ON 4 LANE ROADS AS WELL. DURING THE SAME TIME FRAME, THE STABILITY OF THE CAR IN ICE/SNOW ONLY WORKED IF THE TOW PACKAGE FEATURE WAS TURNED ON. OTHERWISE, I SPUN OUT LEAVING OUR NEIGHBORHOOD GOING DOWN A SLOPE AT SPEEDS OF LESS THAN 30 MPH. DEALER SAID IT DIDN'T MAKE SENSE AND DID NOTHING. I JUST KEEP THE TOW FEATURE ON DURING SNOW/ICE/RAIN. ELECTRICAL ISSUES, HEATING/COOLING SYSTEM WASN'T WORKING CORRECTLY, IT WASN'T HEATING UNLESS THE TEMP WAS PUT AT 80 DEGREES. ONLY THING DEALER WOULD CONCEDE WAS THERE WAS A KINK IN THE HOSE. IT'S HAPPENING AGAIN- WE HAVE TO SET THE A/C AT 60 IN ORDER FOR IT TO COOL THE CAR DOWN. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS CAR. ONCE AGAIN, THE ISSUE WITH THE RPMS AND HEATING/COOLING SYSTEM IS HAPPENING AGAIN. I'M PAYING OFF THIS LEASE EARLY AND HOPEFULLY WILL NOT GET A PENALTY. THIS IS A POORLY MADE CAR. *TR

BEGINNING ABOUT 4 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT THE VEHICLE, THE FUEL GAUGE BEGAN TO MALFUNCTION. THE GAUGE FLUCTUATES FROM HALF FULL TO EMPTY. MANY TIMES THE GAUGE SHOWS 1/4 TO EMPTY BUT THE TANK IS EMPTY. I HAVE RUN OUT OF GAS NUMEROUS TIMES (AT LEAST 10 TIMES) OVER THE LAST 2 YEARS BECAUSE THE GAUGE SHOWS I HAVE GAS AND THE TANK IS EMPTY. TOOK IT TO THE DEALER ON NUMEROUS OCCASIONS AND THE DEALER SAID THEY CHECKED IT BUT FOUND NO PROBLEM. THIS IS A DANGEROUS SITUATION WHEN TRAVELING ON THE FREEWAY AT HIGH SPEED AND I LOSE ALL POWER STEERING AND BRAKES. AXLE ROD PULLED OUT OF GEAR BOX CAUSING THE ENTIRE WHEEL/TIRE ASSEMBLY TO FALL DOWN. ACCORDING TO DEALER THE ASSEMBLY HAD NOT BEEN "MACHINED" AT ALL AT THE FACTORY AND COULD HAVE FAILED AT ANY TIME. THE RIVETS WERE NOT PULLED OUT IS HOW THIS DETERMINATION WAS MADE. IT HAPPENED WITH NO WARNING AFTER TURNING LEFT ONTO THE HIGHWAY FROM MY DRIVEWAY AT A LOW SPEED. CAR WAS UNABLE TO BE STEERED OR STOPPED COMING TO REST ABOUT 30 YARDS AFTER FAILURE. DEALER HAS INFORMED US THAT GMC MANUFACTURE REQUESTED THE PARTS BE RETURNED TO THEM AND THIS MAY BECOME A RECALL ISSUE DUE TO THE FACT THAT THE RIVETS SHOULD HAVE BEEN FLATTENED ON THE ASSEMBLY LINE WHEN HIT BY THE MACHINE, THEY OBVIOUSLY WERE NOT AND THEY NEED TO DETERMINE HOW MANY VEHICLES MAY BE INVOLVED. THIS IS A BIG, BAD DEAL AND COULD HAVE KILLED US IF WE WERE TRAVELING AT ANY HIGHER RATE OF SPEED. OTHER LIVES ARE MOST LIKELY IN DANGER.
