The contact was informed that the wrong color of part had been delivered. The contact stated that the issue had persisted for months. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue, and the contact was informed that the dealer would be contacted regarding the issue. I have been having the same issue with my car for 11 months now. My car has been in the shop more than in my possession. I have paid for repairs that did not solve the problem as well as thousands in car rental fees. When I am driving my car at over 70 MPH on the expressway the dash board lights up with a check engine light and then reads traction control turned off, service stabilitrak and the reduced engine power. The car then reduces down to just over 30 MPH right in the middle of the expressway. I've barely missed several accidents that could have killed someone. I have been in and out of the dealership as well as contacted GMC directly. This seems to be a common issue in this make and model of GMC (2014 ACADIA) and I am getting no where with any help or compensation from them. I was just quoted today for another almost $1900.00 repair that may not even solve the issue. I am still paying on this vehicle and am a front line worker who relies on this vehicle as I am a traveling Occupational Therapist. I don't think it's right that big business can just run over the little guys like this, not to mention the safety aspect and possible death can result in this issue. They have also not fixed the recall on the air bags which can lead to death as well. Please tell me there is something can be done about this.

On 3 occasions vehicle will shut off while driving down the road. When restarted goes into limp mode. Have at repair shop now and they stated there was a campaign on the electrical fuse box but my Vin is not included. This is a complete disaster waiting to happen on busy roadways. Waiting for the parts to arrive so they can replace it, stated they see wires arcing. This is a $1000.00 bill that is most definitely a safety issue, perhaps someone jumped the gun on which Vin numbers to include. I am fortunate that I wasn't on the interstate when this happened. Very upset.

There is a water leak problem with the Acadia ! My car had a dead battery and when it was time to change the compartment was full of water I also get water under steering wheel.

The contact owns a 2014 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that while his wife was driving 40 MPH, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated no warning light was illuminated. The driver was able to restart the vehicle within 5 minutes and drove to her destination. The contact had experienced the failure twice. The contact took the vehicle to an independent mechanic and was informed that either the ignition switch or the fuse box was faulty. The mechanic stated that the fuse box was corroded. The vehicle was not repaired. Upon investigation, the contact associated the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V614000 (Electrical System) however, the VIN was not included. The contact called the local dealer and made them aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 131,000.

I was driving down the road 55 mph and my acadia stalled. Then stabiltrac and traction control turn off then it goes to half power. So then i have to pull over wait a few minutes and restart it. This happens everyday and im nervous to see even drive my truck and it is a safety risk as it could cause a accident. I also read on the internet that it has affected multiple years and models so im not sure why there is no recall

2014 GMC Acadia Denali When accelerating the car is sputtering and slipping. The RPMs are increased. There is a delay in shifting and it is rough. The car jerks and has a pause when accelerating. This is an expensive repair. Is GMC going to help or make it a recall? My local mechanic suggests it gets repaired as soon as possible or sell it - am not comfortable selling it with a bad issue. Unsafe. GMC needs to correct this. GMC - do your part and make this right for your customers. I read many complaints regarding this issue. How many complaints does it take before GMC will make a recall on this issue? I also have a recall on the airbag. I have been having an issue with the light on for 2 years and called many times on it. Last year they said there was no active recall. I see now that there is one. I called and was told that I should have received a letter. I never received a letter of the official recall and the repair is covered. I am now waiting 4-8 weeks for the dealer to get the part in and for them to then call me to schedule an appointment. Why do they not have them in stock? I have been scared every time I drive my 2014 GMC Acadia knowing at any point the airbag could go off at any moment or if I was in an accident it may not inflate to save me. This is terrifying as a driver. Especially knowing that serious injury or death can happen. I hope GMC is going to do the right thing and make the transmission issue a recall and have parts on hand at dealers to get repairs fixed. What is GMC going to offer me and other customers to help pay for this serious issue to be fixed? As well as, pay for a rental car while waiting to get the issues resolved.

Transmission failure - needed to replace the transmission Experienced rough shifting, slipping, or hesitation and then transmission failed while driving almost causing a multicar accident. This is a widely known issue for my vehicle year. GMC would not assist with any coverage of the repairs. This issue needs to be a recall.

The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic an independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed and determined that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was towed to dealer, where the same assessment was made. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 159,000.

The contact stated that she was informed by the technician that while shifted into reverse(R), the technician attempted to shift back into drive(D), but the vehicle failed to shift. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle remained at the dealer and had not yet been diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that the VIN was not included in a recall. The contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The rack unit is going out. It makes the vehicle suddenly jerk to the left at highway speeds. It could cause a collision if there is a car on the left or a head on collision if on a two lane road. It also increases the amount of force needed to steer at low speeds. I took to the mechanic and was told that it needed to be replaced and would be 2500+ dollars to repair it and that they could not do the repair their only recommendation was to take it to the dealer. So GM is not wanting to issue a recall because it would cost them a lot of money to fix it.

My wife was driving our 2014 GMC Acadia to work. She stopped to fuel up her car about 4 miles from home. She left the gas station and proceeded to head to work. She called me (her husband) in a panic because she had lost all power steering and could not turn the wheel through an intersection. I asked her if she had made it to work and she said she was about to pull into the parking lot, but was going to have to park aways out from the building as she couldn’t turn into a park spot. I went and checked out our car when she was inside working and sure enough the cars power steering fluid was all over the ground under the driver side of the car. I trailered the car back home where I could get a better look at things. The rack and pinion had failed without any warning and was spraying fluid out of the top of the rack. No warning lights or indicators on the dash, warning of low fluid or anything malfunctioned. Still when you start the vehicle there is still no warning lights of low fluid or anything. Of course we are dealt to deal with the repair and expenses ourselves because the extended warranty we have doesn’t cover anything to do with steering components with our car that we have owned now for 1 1/2 years.

Steering completely stopped, couldnt steer vehicle while I was driving on HWY with 6 High School Football players inside coming back from a scrimmage. All of Our safety was put at the utmost risk, as we were traveling at HWY speed of 65 and had to maneuver in between traffic to get the vehicle off the road without being hit by oncoming traffic at high speeds. We dodged several accidents during this incident. Let alone putting the lives of the 7 of us and several others on the road. Problem has been declared by a professional Auto Diagnostics Dealer in town, as my vehicle is at, diagnosis is failure of steering rack and pinion, which caused the replacement of powersteering pump, hoses, serpantine belt and reservoir replacement. So far.... The vehicle did not give any signs, signals, or any noises were heard to let us know that there was any failure issues regarding this dangerous incident.

I have taken this vehicle to 2 different mechanics for "stuttering" during driving. Many times it will state a problem with stabilizer and lose power causing me to pull over in traffic as soon as possible. When this happens in snow it has become dangerous. Lately it just stutters without stabilization. No one has been able to find problem and sensors have already been changed. These occur at speeds of 2 mph to 75 mph intermittently

WE HAVE TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO A GMC DEALERSHIP AND THEY CANNOT HELP US. THEY REPAIRED SEVERAL RANDOM PARTS. MINE FIXED THE PROBLEM. THE CAR SEEMS TO STALL IN BETWEEN GEARS. RANDOMLY DRIVING SOWN THE ROAD AND THE CAR WILL STALL AND THEN CATCH. SOMETIMES IT IS TERRIFYING. AND NOW WE ARE EXPERIENCING HOT AIR FLOW IN THE CABIN AND THE BACK AIR WON'T STAY ON CONSISTENTLY. While driving at 70mph legal speed limit the engine lost all power and ability to brake or steer with and power assistance, mechanic has since told me the timing chain failed and destroyed the engine. Vehicle had aproxmitly 99k miles on it and in good repair. No warning that it was going to fail and was told that this is a common failure with the engines in most gmc / chevy / buick mid size svu.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2014 GMC ACADIA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO JIM CURLEY BUICK GMC OF KEYPORT (400 NJ-35, KEYPORT, NJ 07735) TO HAVE A DIAGNOSTIC TEST PERFORMED. THE TECHNICIAN RETRIEVED FAILURE CODES: P0018 AND P0021 SHOWING THAT THE TIMING CHAIN AND CAMSHAFT ACTUATOR WERE NO LONGER PERFORMING PROPERLY. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE TIMING CHAIN NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT ALSO WANTED TO STATE THAT THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SAME DEALER SEVERAL TIMES FOR THE ENGINE LIGHT BEING ILLUMINATED HOWEVER, THE DEALER CLEARED THE ENGINE CODES UNDER THE VEHICLE WARRANTY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 44,547.

WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET THE 2014 GMC SIERRA 6.2 L V8 LOST POWER AND STARTED RUNNING ROUGH AS APPROACHING AN INTERSECTION. I WAS ABLE TO STOP, AND REVERSE THE VEHICLE AWAY FROM THE INTERSECTION, TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC. THE ENGINE LIGHT WAS FLASHING AND THE TRUCK SHUT DOWN, IT WAS UNABLE TO RESTART. THE TRUCK HAD UNDER 60,000 MILES ON IT AT THE TIME OF THE FIRST INCIDENT. IT WAS TOWED TO A GM DEALER SHOP FOR REPAIR. THIS FIRST INCIDENT TOOK PLACE IN AUGUST OF 2019. THE ROCKER ARM AND EXHAUST SPRING HAD TO BE REPLACED IN THE #2 CYLINDER, THE CYLINDER HEAD HAD TO BE REBUILT WITH A NEW HEAD. IN ADDITION THEY REPLACED 4 FUEL INJECTORS. IN DECEMBER OF 2019, A SECOND INCIDENT HAPPEN WHILE DRIVING ON A CITY STREET, THE ENGINE STARTED RUNNING ROUGH, I WAS CLOSE ENOUGH TO MY HOUSE TO GET IT HOME, PARK IT AND IT WAS TOWED TO A A CERTIFIED GM DEALER SHOP FOR REPAIR. THIS TIME IT HAD 61,752 MILES ON THE VEHICLE, THE NUMBER 5 SPRING BROKE. IT IS AT THE SHOP WAITING ON SPRING REPLACEMENT, THEY ARE IN BACKORDER, THERE IS NOT PROJECTED TIME THE REPAIR WILL BE COMPLETE.

MY 2014 GMC ACADIA SHUTS OFF FROM TIME TO TIME WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WITH NO WARNINGS AND THERE IS NO ACTIVE CODES ON A SCANNER NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COMES ON WHEN THIS HAPPENS RADIO KEEPS PLAYING AND DASH IS STILL LIT UP BUT ENGIN IS NOT RUNNING THIS RESULTS IN A LOSS OF POWER STEERING AND THE BRAKES NOT WORKING PROPERLY ONCE YOU GET THE CAR OFF THE ROAD AND TURN THE KEY THE CAR STARTS BACK UP AND CONTINUES TO RUN NORMALLY THIS HAS HAPPENED TWO TIMES TO ME IN ABOUT A 3 WEEK PERIOD NOT SURE WHAT THE ISSUE IS BUT I GOOGLED THE PROBLEM AND FOUND A LOT OF THE SAME ISSUE EVERY TIME THIS ISSUE OCCURRED IT WAS WHILE TURNING ON TO A BUSY STREET. Fuel gauge is incorrect. It says I went 20 miles when I only went two. Then when car is in park the gauge goes back up but when moving the gauge goes down quickly. This had caused me to run out of Gas when I shouldn’t have and it’s adding miles to my odometer that I never went or it’s fluctuating and that’s faulty. Gas gauge is incorrect. When I put fuel in the tank within min gauge drops to empty. Car sputters when idling. Car stalled 10x or more. Fuel pump has been replaced. Fuel pump module has been replaced. Did not fix the problem.

fuel gage incorrect. parked at work with a third of a tank of gas, when i left work later that day it said i was on empty. got to closest gas station and put in $20. gauge told me I had half a tank but it takes $70 to fill the tank, so there is no way $20 would give that. then I drove about mile to my parents house and while sitting in the drive way the gauge now said I had over half a tank. then i drove 4 miles home and the range went from 162 miles to 134. called dealer regarding the recall bulletin 14007b and was told my car wasnt part of it even though it is a 2014 gmc acadia and is having the issues described in the bulletin.

Head lights quit working. I had two children in the car with me and it was night time, and I could’ve collided with another car. This just happened tonight, so I have not taken it to the dealer yet or a certified mechanic. There were no warnings of any kind before this happened.

My left rear turn signal is not working. It is GM part number 13582912. I have checked with several GM dealers who have. Confirmed there are none available. Just for the sake of it, 3 dealers have it on order but have no confirmed delivery date. Some parts stores say it’s is discontinued. There are no other aftermarket parts to substitute. This is a significant safety issue the GM needs to correct.

Tail lights/brakes light/blinkers The light kit cover seals break allowing water into the light kit. Water collects and shorts out the bulbs causing a dangerous hazard when rear lights fail to work in the proper manner. I have called to several places and am being told, yes, GMC has a defect on their rear tail lights. Seals were not done very well and supply cannot keep up with demand. The lights are over 300 each which is absolutely ridiculous. A part that is necessary to keep one safe and be able to signal to other drivers should not be this expensive when the manufacturer did not build a good product.

After I put my car in park my daughter and I were still in the vehicle for a few minutes getting our things with the engine still running. I got out to get something from the back seat, my daughter got out the passenger door and made it to the driver side as I was closing the back passenger door. I was about to get back on the car to get the rest of my things and turn the ignition off but before I could my car was rolling backwards out of the driveway into the street. I was able to jump in the vehicle and put my foot on the brake and the put the gear into Park. There’s no way possible I didn’t put it in Park with me getting out already and my daughter couldn’t have accidentally shift the gear because she couldn’t have been able to get out, close the door and make it to the driver side before it started rolling away. Once I got the car stopped, I noticed the driver seat was now all the way to the steering wheel and completely to the floor with the headrest also tilting inwards and now the electrical for the seat will not work. There is a recall for this issue but my vin# is not included. I cannot even drive my car now because the seat is so far up and inclined. what if the seat moves up more while I’m driving and it has me pinned between the steering wheel and the seat. I don’t feel safe driving it, having my daughter as a passenger and it’s really not safe to be on the road. I’m still paying on this car and now i won’t even be able to drive to work. So I’ll probably lose my job. This car has multiple issues and I think is an electrical problem. It’s also a known major defect on this model but still not a recall for my vin #! None of my interior sound works. Speakers, blinkers, alerts, back up camera. The auto start won’t start, I have to press the key fob multiple times to lock and unlock. This car is extremely unsafe to drive and I strongly feel my cars vin# should be listed under the recall. Its going to really affect my daily life and means of income. Lemon!

I have had many problems relating to this vehicle, for only owning it for a year. Inaccurate Fuel Gauge Reading- My fuel gauge is inaccurate. It has resulted in my vehicle running out of fuel and stalling, while on road. I have 4 children who are at risk of danger while in vehicle.The fuel warning light has illuminated when the gauge needle says I still have more than plenty of amount (a quarter of a tank or more at times. It differs). I have taken to many shops, it was diagnosed with an electrical and fuel system failure. Electrical shorts and problems- Having electrical shorts on and off. Check engine light comes on/off Vehicle randomly failed to start with no good reason/cause. My vehicle was difficult to start and would require several attempts before starting. Power lock/unlock fob doesn't work, replaced battery multiple times. My windows and sunroof power windows do no work and unable to fully close on/off at times. Check airbag light has been coming on and off. Power Train intermittently, the transmission shifts with a loud thump, at various speeds. Vehicle starts shaking and jerking while shifting gears and going different speeds. My vehicle slows down, power reduce engine and steering difficult at times. Other/ water leak- Found water in all of my tail light assemblies, headlight assemblies, sunroof and windows leaking. There is no proper seal or has worn off, causing leaks in and repairs for many replacements, which are expensive temp fixes with no permanent solution. Causes accidents by not having necessary working equipment for driving conditions. Other:Hood doesn't latch and stay open so difficult to even check fluids properly alone. Multiple dealers have inspected problems, some have not been able to pin point the problem for some of these issues or have been charged unaffordable amount before fixing, and only diagnosing problem. There are recalls out for many of these problems and my vehicle needs to be on the list for serious safety issues!

MY ACADIA HAS SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING MULTIPLE TIMES. TODAY, I WAS IN A PARKING LOT PICKING UP A PRESCRIPTION. THE CAR WAS IDLING WHILE I WAS WAITING IN THE PICK-UP LANE AND THEN SHUT OFF. I TRIED TO RESTART THE ENGINE ONLY TO HAVE THE CAR SHUTTER VIOLENTLY WHILE IDLING. I TURNED THE CAR OFF AGAIN AND THEN RESTARTED FOR A SECOND TIME. THIS TIME IT RESTARTED AS NORMAL AND THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO A DEALER 4 TIMES SINCE OCTOBER AS IT HAS SHUT OFF WHILE DRIVING AND MAKING A TURN. THE DEALER SAYS THERE ARE NO CODES IN THE DIAGNOSTICS AND CANNOT FIND A PROBLEM. I'M TERRIFIED TO DRIVE THE CAR. I SAW A RECALL FROM 2014 ABOUT AN ELECTRICAL SHORT BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THAT WAS ALREADY FIXED ON THIS VEHICLE SINCE I BOUGHT IT USED. I ALSO DON'T KNOW IF THIS IS EVEN RELATED TO THAT RECALL.

WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY MY CAR BEGAN SHUTTERING AND THE WARNING SYSTEM WENT OFF STATING THE TRACTION CONTROL HAD GONE OFF. THEN IT SAID ENGINE POWER REDUCED, SERVICE ENGINE, AND SERVICE TRACTION. THE CAR BEGAN SHAKING AND IMMEDIATELY SLOWED DOWN. I PULLED OVER AND TURNED OFF THE CAR. UPON RESTARTING THE CAR I RECEIVED A MESSAGE THAT SAID TRACTION CONTROL ON. BUT THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THIS IS THE SECOND TIME THIS HAS OCCURRED. THE FIRST TIME IT HAPPENED I TOOK MY CAR TO THE DEALERSHIP TO WHICH THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T FIND ANYTHING WRONG WITH IT. AFTER DOING A GOOGLE SEARCH TODAY, I FOUND THAT THIS SEEMS TO BE A COMMON PROBLEM IN GMC ACADIA AND I AM SHOCKED THAT IT HASN'T BE REPORTED/RECALLED. IN RETROSPECT, I HAVE NOTICED THAT SOMETIMES WHEN I ACCELERATE, THE CAR WILL FAIL TO SHIFT GEARS IN A TIMELY MANNER AND JERK FORWARD WHEN IT FINALLY DOES SO. ON NOVEMBER 14TH 2014, I HAD AN ER VISIT AFTER THE NERVE PAIN IN MY ARM WAS SO SEVERE I COULD NOT STAND IT. ON DECEMBER 22ND 2014 I HAD TO HAVE SURGERY FOR A HERNIATED DISC BELOW MY C6 VERTEBRA. BECAUSE IT WAS CAUSING NERVE PAIN IN MY ARM AND LOSS OF STRENGTH. I HAVE SEEN OTHER COMPLAINS ONLINE WITH THESE NECK RESTS AND COMPLAINTS OF INJURY IN THE GMC ACADIA VEHICLES. Passenger Airbag indicator light stays "On" at all times(with or without a seated front passenger) Indicating that "Passenger Airbag is " OFF". Concern that the Airbag System is not functioning properly, thus exposing the front seat passenger to injury in the event of an accident. YES. On 02/24/2023 the vehicle was inspected by an independent service center. Note: a copy of the report/findings is available. The tech determined that two conditions existed; Codes B0023 and B0085. Only my independent service center has inspected/tested the vehicle. On 11/24/2023 I contacted my GMC Dealer to discuss the issue. I was informed of my options. It is my intention to schedule an appointment ASAP. The problem began in January 2023 with the indicator lamp coming on randomly.

The contact owns a 2014 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the air bag warning light illuminated on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who determined that the air bag wiring for the driver’s and passenger’s side air bags needed to be re-soldered to the air bag sensors. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but provided no assistance. The failure mileage was 133,440.

Air Bag Service code shows up. It can be removed briefly by moving the seat back and forth. I did some research and this is similar to the recalls for older years previously issued with the wiring harness causing the air bags to malfunction. This is extremely dangerous and is well known on many car complaint sites. Why has nothing been done? Thank you.

THE SERVICE AIR BAG SOON LIGHT IS ON AND THE CAR ONLY HAS 74,000 MILES AND HAS NEVER BEEN IN A WRECK. THIS IS THE SAME ISSUE THAT THERE WAS A RECALL FOR EARLIER MODEL YEAR ACADIAS UP TO 2013 AND IT IS WIDELY REPORTED THAT THE 2014S HAVE THE SAME ISSUE; THAT THE CONNECTOR HAS TO BE RESOLDERED FOR THE AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY. THIS IS A KNOWN SAFETY ISSUE TO GMC AND THEY ARE CHARGING APPROXIMATELY $400 TO FIX A KNOWN SAFETY ISSUE. NOW I'M GOING TO HAVE TO PAY $400 TO GET THIS FIXED BECAUSE IT IS NOT AN INCLUDED RECALL ON THE 2014S AND I DON'T WANT MY WIFE DRIVING A CAR WITHOUT AIRBAGS.

The rear brake lights get stuck on causing the traction control and the stabilitrak to turn off and flash the warning on the dash. This vehicle has been to two different dealerships to fix the issues and nothing has worked. The brake pedal sensor has been replaced a couple times. The brake pedal assembly has been replaced. This is a safety concern due to other drivers thinking my brake lights are on constantly and not being able to see when I’m actually slowing down.

Vehicle is randomly stalling or going into limp mode when driving. Has done it in intersections, driving down the hight way and even stopped in a parking lot. No warning but throws codes unrelated to the problem. I’ve been told that it shuts off half of my engine randomly while running and that contributes to the stall. Can cause accident if stalls while turning or even if in wrong lane on high way. You loose all power steering and basically have to coast to safety. Sometimes it re starts some times your stuck there with no reasons for it to not re start. Usually it starts same day when this happens but hours later. Sometimes it stutters and you know it’s coming but not often will you get this warning. I’ve replaced every thing in every code it’s thrown and still can’t go a week without stalling out. Very unsafe for families just trying to go anywhere. Has done in an hour into a trip or three minutes down the road. All weather conditions as well. I’ve had it to two different garages with no luck yet. Have found a bulletin on wiring for the fuse box which seems promising for the issue but am worried about putting more money into something so unreliable. At this point it’s dangerous to drive and is a safety hazard.

10/6/2023 The vehicle shakes all over the vehicle when driving at highway speeds the shop I brought it to says that the tire tread is slipped and you can see the tread is wavy when running on the lift and is most likely the cause of the vibration. It is actually all 4 tires but a couple of them are the more worse than others. P255/55R20 is the tire size and were bought 9/9/2021 but only have 20K miles on them. I just wanted to report so if there is other complaints about this with the same tire something may be able to be done to resolve this in case this issue gets worse.

WHILE DRIVING, THE STABILITRAK SERVICE MESSAGE CAME ON, THEN TRACKTION CONTROL DISPLAYED. THE CAR THEN STALLED, WHILE DOING 70 ON THE FREEWAY. ALMOST GOT KILLED TRYING TO GET TO THE RIGHT LANE. HAD TO TURN OFF IGNITION (AND OPEN THE DOOR TO KILL THE ELECTRICAL CIRCUIT) TO RESET THE CAR TO DRIVE IT. THE CAR ALSO DOES THIS AT IDLE. My 2014 GMC Acadia constantly displays “Service Stabilitrak,” “Service Traction Control,” ABS, brake, and check-engine warning lights. The vehicle will not accelerate past 40 mph under normal driving. Recently, the vehicle began showing “Engine Power Reduced” randomly without any warning, and the vehicle loses power suddenly. The OBD2 code P1682 (Ignition 1 Circuit/Relay failure) appears every time. This issue has caused the vehicle to jerk, lose acceleration, and even stall in the middle of an intersection during rush-hour traffic while my children were in the car, creating a serious safety hazard. These warnings and symptoms are constant, and the power-reduction events occur unpredictably. No official inspection has been completed by the manufacturer. The failed component is still in the vehicle and available for inspection. The malfunction affects traction control, stability control, braking systems, and engine power, putting occupants and other drivers at risk.

Vehicle stalls intermittently. Due to an earlier recall of the same model but not including the one I own. There is electrical shorting inside the fuse box in the ignition circuitry that causes this problem. This is a huge problem as there is no preemptive warning. Whether you're driving 5 mph or 55 mph it happens suddenly and without any warning. The incident is stored in OBDII codes. There are no warning lamps until after 5he vehicle stalls out. #PIT5643. I have had the same problem for 3 years now and have taken my vehicle to a GM dealership many times for the same issue and it is definitely an issue . My car keeps throwing up TCM issue and ECM and I have asked for the modules to be checked. I have reasearched these issues and it seems to be the same with many vehicles like mine so that should be a red flag. My car will slow down, power reduce engine, traction control off, and my steering will be difficult and sometimes I can’t even get off the road in time, which is very dangerous. I have seen recalls on electrical issues and wonder if my vehicle has damaged recall parts. I am a single mother who has to work and get my child to school and can’t do so properly with my vehicle doing this all the time. It’s very frustrating.

I have many problems with this vehicle, numerous times. Inaccurate Fuel Gauge Reading- It has resulted in my vehicle running out of fuel and stalling, while on road. I have 4 children who are at risk of danger while in vehicle.The fuel warning light has illuminated when the gauge needle says I still have more than plenty of amount (a quarter of a tank or more at times. It differs). It was diagnosed with an electrical and fuel system failure. Electrical shorts and problems- Having electrical shorts on and off. Check engine light comes on/off Vehicle randomly failed to start. My vehicle was difficult to start and would require several attempts before starting. Power lock/unlock key fob doesn't work, replaced battery multiple times.windows and sunroof power windows do no work. Radio and dash turn off and restart. Check airbag light has been coming on and off. Power Train intermittently, the transmission shifts with a loud thump, at various speeds. Vehicle starts shaking and jerking while shifting gears and going different speeds. My vehicle slows down, power reduce engine and steering difficult at times. Other/ water leak- Found water in all of my tail light assemblies, headlight assemblies, sunroof and windows leaking. There is no proper seal or has worn off, causing leaks in and repairs for many replacements, which are expensive temp fixes with no permanent solution. Causes accidents by not having necessary working equipment for driving conditions. Other:Hood doesn't latch and stay open so difficult to even check fluids properly alone. Multiple dealers have inspected problems, and needs to be fixed. There are recalls out for many of these problems and my vehicle needs to be on the list for serious safety issues.

INTERIOR LIGHTS GO ON AT RANDOM ALONG WITH HEADLIGHTS. GAS GAUGE IN "MILES" READING ON DASH LOWERS BY 20+ MILES EACH TIME I DROP KIDS OFF AT SCHOOL 5 MILES AWAY. I purchased my 2014 GMC Acadia Denali July 29th, 2021. It has been back to the dealer five times, with repairs not being completed. Within weeks of purchasing it, the Service Air Bag light came on, and won't go off. The low tire light came on. The serpentine belt broke and had to be replaced, and the power steering pump started making horrendous noises and leaking fluid. I bought an expensive service contract, and of course these repairs are not covered. I also had them repair tires twice, and ended up having to replace the two front tires, after being told there was nothing wrong with them, except one had a screw. They also said that tire rotation was causing the lights to go off, and wasn't reset, and supposedly they reset it to reflect where the tires are on the vehicle in relation to the TPMS's. Well, two tires lost air constantly, and there were numerous leaks. I finally took the vehicle to a real tire store for tire replacement. The estimate for the driver's side airbag system replacement is $1400 pre-tax, and the power steering pump replacement is $1100, pre-tax. So within two months, I've had nothing but trouble; spent $380 on two new tires, and will have the cost of these repairs on top of the extra $2200 I spent on a service contract. The vehicle is beautiful, and seemingly was well-maintained, but it immediately began breaking down. I've had very limited use of it since July 29th when I bought it. (it's now October 6th, 2021). I have a meeting with the owner of the dealership tomorrow, October 7th, at the suggestion of the dealership's repair manager, as well as the salesman.

I have 2 concerns and issues with my vehicle. 1st is the rear turn signal bulb and housing, I have read forums and researched the issue and many others have had the same issues and concerns, water is getting into the housing and is causing the bulb to blow and can possibly be causing fire/electrical with the wiring. 2nd is the front headlights the plastic round covering that's in surrounding the the glass that the light sits behind is melting and is causing visibility issues as well as potential fire. I can imagine why the plastic would be installed so close to a glass covering that holds heat. I really think that GMC needs to evaluate these concerns not only for safety but also the expense of the turn signal bulb that has been designed and cost over $100 because it couldn't be a simple bulb like most others. Also I have been informed of a recall of the airbag and can't get it fixed because the dealerships haven't been sent the part! I would like to be notified that someone has aknowledged my concern. MY HEADLIGHTS STOPPED WORKING WHILE I WAS DRIVING ON A HIGHWAY. I PULLED OFF THE ROAD & THE DRL LED LIGHTS AROUND THE HEADLIGHTS WERE STILL ON, BUT THE HEADLIGHTS WERE NOT. I TRIED TURNING THE LIGHTS OFF/ON, TRIED TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF/ON. MY HUSBAND CHECKED THE FUSES, RELAY, & SENSORS, AS WELL AS CHANGED BOTH BULBS AND THEY STILL WILL NOT WORK. IT WAS DARK WHILE I WAS DRIVING, WHICH POSED A DANGEROUS SITUATION. UPON RESEARCHING ONLINE, THERE SEEMS TO BE OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THE SAME PROBLEM.

First problem is the trunk door. About a week ago I was getting something out of my trunk and accidently hit the button and the door started to close so i tried to get away from it and somehow my arm got caught and there is absolutly NO sensor to stop the trunk from crushing my arm. Unforunately, i did have some injury to my arm from the trunk coming down and have pictures of the brusing on my arm. A sensor to stop the trunk from closing on a body part or anything for that matter needs to be better made or put in the vehicle. I took pictures of my arm days later because i was in to much pain to take them when it happened. It was not a fun injurying. Saturday night iced it, sunday had to have it elevated because it was so swollen, didnt take the picture until Wednesday when it finally had calmed down. There is bruising and swelling still on Wednesday. this happened July 9th Second problem i recently had an issue with my wiring i guess it was. Specifically it was reduced engine power message displayed and my engine stalled out on me. I was told that this is a common problem with Buick Enclaves, Chevrolet Traverses, and GMC Acadia's which is the car i have. Being that this is a common issue wouldnt this be something that would be concerned a RECALL? i dont know how recalls so im more curious about it. my car stalled out on me in the middle of traffic on July 16th

SERVICE SIDE BLIND DETECTION STARTED GOING OFF THEN THE SIDE BLIND DETECTION STOPPED WORKING COMPLETELY. NOW THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM IS NOT WORKING CORRECTLY AND WAS TOLD THE SIDE BLIND DETECTION MONITORS CAN CAUSE THE ENTIRE ELECTRICAL SYSTEM TO MALFUNCTION.

2014 GMC ACADIA WENT ABRUPTLY INTO WHAT THEY CALL LIMP MODE. THE ENGINE LOST POWER, WITH A MASSIVE SHUTTER THROUGHOUT THE VEHICLE, NUMEROUS WARNING LIGHTS ON DASH, SAYING REDUCED POWER, LOW VOLTAGE, TRACTION CONTROL/STABILITY CONTROL AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT. I HAVE DONE SOME ONLINE RESEARCH AND SEEMS TO BE A BIG ISSUE FOR THE ACADIA! A RECALL TO GENERAL MOTORS IS IN ORDER SO ALL THESE SAFETY ISSUES GET ADDRESSED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. FIRST, 2 DAYS AFTER WE PURCHASED THE CAR, THE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON. THEN THE FRONT CAMERA NEEDED SERVICE AND THE SIDE WARNINGS STOPPED. THEN THE SEAT HEATERS QUIT. THE FOBS BOTH QUIT WORKING, WOULD. IT PROPERLY UNLOCK THE DOORS. WE GOT AN AIRBAG NEEDS SERVICE WARNING. A CHECK GAGES WARNING. A SERVICE TIRE MONITORING SYSTEM WARNING. FINALLY, THE ENGINE LOCKS UP AND WON'T START, TURN OVER, OR ANYTHING. SEVERAL HOURS LATER, THE CAR STARTS. THEN IT GOES THROUGH THE WHOLE CYCLE AGAIN OVER THE NEXT FEW WEEKS TIL IT DOESN'T START AGAIN AND LEAVES US STRANDED. AGAIN. THE FIRST TIME, THE MCDANIEL GMC SERVICE DEPARTMENT CHANGED OUT THE BATTERY AND BELIEVED THAT WOULD FIX IT. WE PAID $190 FOR THAT. IT DIDN'T WORK. IT WENT THROUGH THE SAME CYCLE AGAIN WITHIN A MONTH. NOW THEY EXPECT US TO PAY TO HAVE HE MODULE FIXED, EVEN THOUGH THEY KNEW THERE WAS A RECALL FOR IT WHEN HEY SOLD IT TO US.

WHEN ACCELERATING BETWEEN 10 AND 20 MILES PER HOUR, SOMETHING UNDERNEATH THE BODY OF THE CAR, MOVES IN A CIRCULAR MOTION AND CLUNKS UNDERNEATH THE GAS PEDAL. THIS MOVEMENT CAN BE FELT UNDER THE GAS PEDAL AND FLOOR AS WELL AS HEARD. THIS OCCURS 80-90 PERCENT OF THE TIME AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE ALSO SHIFTS HARD INTO GEAR AT ABOUT THIS MPH. THE DEALERSHIP HAS TESTED SEVERAL ACADIAS AND FOUND A GM BULLETIN ON THIS EVENT. THE GM BULLETIN INDICATES THIS IS A "NORMAL" CYCLING OF THE ABS BRAKE SYSTEM THAT OCCURS ON THE ACADIA AND CHEVY TRAVERSE MODELS. SO FAR GM HAS BEEN UNWILLING TO RESOLVE THIS ISSUE, YET BECAUSE IT IS A BRAKE ISSUE AND IS FELT UNDER THE GAS PEDAL, THE SAFETY OF THIS VEHICLE IS HIGHLY CONCERNING TO ME. WAS GOING TO BACK OUT OF MY GARAGE WHEN I PUT THE SHIFTER INTO REVERSE. WHEN THE SHIFTER WAS IN REVERSE, IT SHIFTED OUT OF GEAR ON ITS OWN INTO DRIVE AND IT WENT FORWARD SLAMMING FRONT END OF THE VEHICLE INTO A REFRIGERATOR. CAUSING THE REFRIGERATOR TO BE COMPLETELY DESTROYED AND THE FRONT END OF THE HOOD TO BECOME CROOKED. The contact owns a 2014 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that while at a stop, the vehicle experienced a loss of automotive power. In addition, the contact stated that upon further inspection, the fuel gauge failed to properly display the fuel level. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was towed to a local independent mechanic, where the unknown repairs were made; however, the traction control, ABS, Stabili-trak, and seat belt warning lights illuminated. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. In addition, the contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign: 14V614000 (Electrical System), 14V266000 (Seat Belts), 21V246000 (Air Bags), and 14V223000 (Electrical System, Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 130,000.

Got onto the interstate and suddenly my car stopped but didn’t kill. My traction control light said off and then it said reduced engine power and my fuel went down to E. I couldn’t go but my car was still running. I killed it then waited a minute and started it again and it started moving slowly. Then it said service stabliltrak and traction system but since the light have went off. Around the same time I started hearing popping and crackling sounds from my speaker and now I have no interior sound at all just popping sounds no matter if my car is started or not. I’m scared it’s going to catch on fire or something

I took my 2014 GMC Acadia into the dealership I purchased it at because my airbag light was on. This was before the recall. I was told at that time that nothing was wrong and and I probably hit a bump and juggled something loose. I paid $190 for that. Now my vehicle is in the shop and I can no longer operate it or sell it because it is deemed unsafe due to this recall. I contacted GMC and there is no remedy for this. It has been 8 months. This is not timely. They would not offer a replacement, refund or a loaner vehicle. I recorded this call and received a case number. I believe this is against federal law. I then contracted the dealership I purchased the vehicle through and they will not provide a rental or repair or replace my vehicle either. N fact, they were trying to get me to do $4,000 in repairs. This may fall under the lemon law and I contacted an attorney. Some people have been without vehicles 8 months now since this recall occurred. This is absurd. I had one vehicle that now I cannot use. I need to be made whole.I have 5 children. Who is responsible? I will not stop until I get compensated. There are a total of 6 recalls out on my car. Only one has been closed. The seatbelt. The other recalls could cause major damage to expensive components like the engine and transmission. The EUC was under recall and was never fixed in my vehicle also. I found this out through a search on kbb.com. This may have in turn caused more out of pocket expenses

The contact owns a 2014 GMC Acadia. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V334000 (Air Bags) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. An undisclosed dealer was contacted and confirmed that the part was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, she heard an abnormal sound coming from the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the front passenger’s side strut was defective and needed to be replaced. No warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 138,379. VIN tool confirms parts not available.

1.- Found water in the doors electrical connectors, the radio, alerts, blinkers sounds stops working and makes an electric short circuit sound. Informatic radio systems works on and off. 2.- break pedal with unusual play this make the stop lights turn on all the time and triggers the stabilitytrack system fails the car it’s like speeding up and down. 3.- the previous problem play in the break pedal triggers a transmission malfunction Does not change gears and makes the engine loose power preventing a major damages but at same time it’s very dangerous while driving because we never know when it will happen the failure.

Since I have owned this vehicle, my blind spot alert system has failed 3 times. In every occurrence, the warning lights in the mirror have been stuck in the "on" position. It has occurred at approximately 60k miles, 100k miles, and now 150k miles. In each occurrence, it was a defective sensor module due to the location of the module that allows water to get into the box. The blind spot light stays on constantly and no longer detects vehicle located in the blind spot of the vehicle. In every case, the cost of the repair was over $800 to replace the box.

The contact stated while starting the vehicle the radio was inoperable and the air bag sensor would chime as if a passenger was seated in the passenger’s seat and not using the seat belt. Additionally, the power locks were inoperable, and the yellow lights for the blind side detection system were illuminated and remained illuminated. The contact also stated that the heater and A/C functioned sporadically. Additionally, the vehicle was difficult to start and would require several attempts before starting. The contact had not taken the vehicle to a dealer or independent mechanic to be diagnosed. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer had not been informed of the failure. Gas gauge does not read accurately. We have ran out of gas one time due to this issue, resulting with us stalling in the middle of a busy street. Now that that has occurred gas is put into the tank every few days but gas gauge still only registers 1/4 of tank to “Low Range”. MULTIPLE OCCASIONS!

My wife was driving at highway speeds (70MPH) on the interstate in Chicago when without warning her cluster lights appeared and her vehicle lost propulsion (stalled, Stall, died). She had no warning and the area had no shoulder for her to pull off into so she had to come to a complete stop in the right lane of the highway. People are doing speeds well above 70MPH, I would hate to think of what could have happened if a person or line of vehicles could not change lanes in time; very serious injuries and possibly death for all invovled. Fortunatly, she had the sense to put the car in park (highway lane) and completed a key cycle thus restarting the vehicle and then obviously accelerating quickly to get out of harms way. As people are swirving out of her lane and honking at her. I put our VIN into the NHTSA site and see the vehicle has no outstanding recalls. Then i search just the model year and come across a recall (14V-614, GM recall number 14515) that appears to be the same issue we may have had. In the vehicle information section of the 573 it lists: Descriptive Information : 2014 GMC Acadia Production Dates : JUN 27, 2013 - SEP 26, 2013 Plugging my VIN into a VIN decoder, i see that my vehicle was built July 26, 2013; this falls within the suspect time of this recall. Why have I not been notified of this recall? Why is the NHTSA tool not show my vehicle as being affected? This could have been a very a tragic ending. I hope you (NHTSA) reach out directly to GM to figure out why my vehicle was not included in the recall. Why my wife was put in harms way.

While traveling approximately 75mph the Service Traction Control light came on followed closely by the Low Oil Pressure Stop Engine Immediately light. We attempted to travel to a more safe area along the interstate. Within seconds the engine immediately shut off causing the loss of power steering and power brakes. The steering wheel locked in place causing the total loss of steering control. We were able to bring the vehicle to a safe stop, I would attribute this success to my being a Defensive Driver Instructor and Transportation Safety Professional. The risk associated with the issues we were faced with could have easily ended in tragedy especially at this speed (75 mph, 80 mph zone) The diagnosis of the vehicle was inconclusive due to the number of codes that were shown. The vehicle was no longer functional and had to be replaced. No documentation, other than the bill for towing is available. Diagnosis was done at no charge.

THERE ARE HUNDREDS IF NOT THOUSANDS OF 2014 ACADIA OWNERS HAVING A SERVICE AIR BAG LIGHT COME ON AND WONT GO OFF. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR ALL ACADIA'S OF 2013 AND EARLIER THAT HAD A RECALL TO FIX THIS DANGEROUS ISSUE. 2014 NEEDS TO BE INCLUDED IN THIS RECALL. THIS IS A SAFETY HAZARD AND POSSIBLE DEATH UPON IMPACT ISSUE IF AIRBAG DOESNT GO OFF DUE TO GMC'S NEGLIGENCE IN DEALING WITH THE SAME ISSUE PREVIOUS MODELS HAD. GMC COULD FACE LAWSUITS IF SOMEONE IS KILLED DUE TO THIS ISSUE ON THIS YEAR ACADIA. ITS APPROX $500 TO FIX AND IS A CONSISTENT PROBLEM ACROSS MANY OWNED ACADIAS. I WAS TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY AT ABOUT 70 MPH IN THE LEFT LANE AND THE ENGINE BEGAN TO SPUTTER LIKE IT WAS GOING TO STALL. IT DROPPED MY SPEED TO 60 WITHOUT WARNING. I HAD BEEN GOING THROUGH A PUDDLE AT THE TIME SO I ALMOST LOST CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THEY HAD NO RECORD OF ME BRINGING IT IN ON THE 21ST. DURING EVENING RUSH HOUR, THE CAR STALLED OUT COMPLETELY WHILE GOING APPROXIMATELY 75 MPH ON A MILD INCLINE ON THE HIGHWAY. GAS GAUGE SAID APPROXIMATELY A QUARTER TANK OF GAS. ALL POWER STEERING WAS LOST, BUT I WAS ABLE TO DRIVE THE CAR TO THE SHOULDER OF THE FREEWAY. A SERVICE TRUCK PUT APPROXIMATELY 5 GALLONS OF GAS INTO THE TANK, BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT START AND I HAD TO BE TOWED TO DEALERSHIP. HEAD OF GM DEALER SERVICE SAID NOTHING WRONG WITH CAR AND THEY COULD NOT REPLICATE PROBLEM, AND THAT THE THING WITH THIS CAR IS THAT YOU CAN'T DRIVE IT ON AN INCLINE WITH LESS OF A QUARTER TANK OF GAS OR IT MIGHT STALL. WE HAVE HAD THE CAR SINCE JANUARY AND I GUESS TODAY WAS THE FIRST DAY I HAVE DRIVEN THE CAR WITH THE BACK WINDOWS DOWN. I TOOK MY DOG WITH ME SO I ROLLED DOWN THE BACK WINDOWS WHEN I DID THIS THE WHOLE CAR STARTED SHAKING AND YOU COULD SEE IN THE REARVIEW MIRROR THAT THE BACK DOORS SHOOK HARD. THE SHAKING MADE A LOAD RACKET THAT HURT ME EARS. IT HAPPENED WITH EITHER BACK WINDOW DOWN BUT WAS WORST WITH THE DRIVER SIDE. IT WAS REAL BAD WITH BOTH WINDOWS DOWN. I DID NOT GET THE SHAKEN WITH THE FRONT WINDOWS DOWN AND THE BACK WINDOWS UP. IT ONLY ACCURED WHEN THE BACK WINDOWS WERE DOWN. IT HAPPENED AT 65 MILES AN HOUR AND AT 40 MILES AN HOUR. IT HAS TO BE A DESIGN FLAW BECAUSE IT WAS BAD. I FIRST THOUGHT IT WAS A BAD TIRE BUT IT WENT AWAY WITH WINDOWS UP AND ONLY CAME BACK WHEN BACK WINDOWS WERE DOWN. AFTER MAKING SURE THE TIRES WERE OK, I PLAYED WITH THE WINDOWS TO SEE WHEN THE VIBRATION STARTED AND GOT WORST. THE VIBRATION WOULD START WHEN EITHER BACK WINDOW WOULD GET A FOURTH OF THE WAY DOWN AND WOULD GET WORST AS THE WINDOWS WOULD GO DOWN. THE FASTER I WENT THE WORST IT GOT. NO VIBRATION EVER HAPPENED WHEN JUST THE FRONT WINDOWS WERE DOWN AND NO VIBRATION WHEN ALL WINDOWS WERE UP. ON 08/17/14 AT APPROXIMATELY 15:30, I WAS BACKING UP IN MY DRIVEWAY FROM A MAJOR ROADWAY AND MY VEHICLE SUDDENLY LOST ALL POWER, STEERING AND BRAKES. I LOOKED AT THE DRIVER INFORMATION CENTER AND IT SAID SOMETHING LIKE "POWER LOSS" AND "BATTERY". I WAS IN TOO BIG OF A HURRY TO PUT IT IN PARK AND RESTART THE VEHICLE AND GET OUT OF THE ROAD TO CONCENTRATE ON WHAT IT WAS SAYING. I SIGNED A LEASE FOR THIS VEHICLE ON JULY 3, 2014 AND ACTUALLY WAS TOLD AFTER I SIGNED ALL THE PAPERS THAT MY VEHICLE WAS ONE THAT WAS INVOLVED IN THE IGNITION RECALL AND TO PLEASE DROP IT OFF AT THIS DEALER ON MONDAY, JULY 7, 2014 SO THEY COULD REPLACE THE IGNITION. ON MONDAY,JULY 7, 2014, THE DEALER PICKED MY VEHICLE UP FROM MY WORKPLACE, I'M JUST DOWN THE ROAD. I PICKED MY VEHICLE UP ON MY WAY HOME. FROM THAT TIME FORWARD, I NOTICED OCCASIONALLY I WAS UNABLE TO TURN THE KEY IN THE IGNITION. LIKE SOMETIMES WHEN YOUR STEERING WHEEL IS JUST WRONG. AFTER A FEW ATTEMPTS, I WAS ABLE TO START THE VEHICLE. THIS HAPPENED MAYBE 5-6 TIMES. ON 08/18/14, I TRIED TO CONTACT MY SALESMAN AND HE IS ON VACATION UNTIL NEXT MONDAY. SINCE THE DAY I DROVE MY ACADIA OFF THE LOT THERE HAS BEEN A "CLICK" THAT OCCURS WHICH SOUNDS LIKE IT IS COMING FROM THE ENGINE THAT CAN BE FELT UNDER THE GAS PEDAL WHEN THE VEHICLE IS ABOUT TO SHIFT INTO 2ND GEAR, BUT ONLY IMMEDIATELY AFTER STARTING THE VEHICLE AND NEVER AGAIN WHEN SWITCHING BETWEEN 1ST AND 2ND GEAR UNTIL IT HAS BEEN TURNED OFF AND RESTARTED. THE NOISE IT MAKES SOUNDS LIKE A MARBLE ROLLING ON A WOODEN FLOOR FOR ABOUT 1-2 SECONDS AND THEN CLICK AND THEN THE GEAR SHIFTS. THE DEALER SAID THEY DIDN'T HEAR ANYTHING BUT I DO AS WELL AS OTHER PASSENGERS DO EVERY DAY. ADDITIONALLY, WHEN TURNING THE VEHICLE AT A SLOW RATE OF SPEED AND THEN ACCELERATING, THE ENGINE SLAMS INTO GEAR WHEN BETWEEN 10-15 MPH BUT ONLY AFTER A TURN AND AN ATTEMPT AT ACCELERATION. ALSO, MY ACADIA IS NOT A VEHICLE UNDER THE "FAULTY GAS GAUGE" RECALL HOWEVER ONCE MY VEHICLE IS BELOW 1/4 TANK THE NEEDLE ON THE GAS GAUGE WILL JUMP FROM 1/8 TANK TO 1/16, BACK UP TO 1/8 OF A TANK ALL WHILE DRIVING ON FLAT ROADWAYS. CONCURRENTLY, THE RANGE FOR THE FUEL ON THE DIGITAL SCREEN GOES FROM 95 TO 58 TO 72 ALL WHILE DRIVING WITH CRUISE CONTROL ON AT A CONSISTENT SPEED. LASTLY, THE VEHICLE HAS THE DENALI GRILL WHICH LEAVES MINIMAL AIRFLOW FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. UP TO THREE HOURS AFTER TURNING THE VEHICLE OFF (IN A COOL GARAGE) YOU CAN STILL FEEL THE HEAT COMING FROM THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT IF YOU PLACE YOUR HAND IN FRONT OF THE GRILL. COULD THIS BE A POSSIBLE FIRE HAZARD? ALL OF THESE ISSUES BEGAN WHEN I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE WITH 60 MILES ON IT AND CONTINUE NOW AT 15,500 MILES. I DRIVE FREQUENTLY AND CAN TELL YOU THAT I DO NOT FEEL SAFE IN MY VEHICLE BUT AM UNSURE WHAT TO DO AS THE DEALER HAS TOLD ME THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. I WAS RETURNING FROM A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT AND STOPPED TO PICK UP MY SON'S PRESCRIPTION. I TURNED TO CHECK ON MY SON, WHO JUST TURNED ONE ON SUNDAY, AND SAW HIS FACE WAS EXTREMELY RED. I WAS CONFUSED BECAUSE HE WAS SO WARM AND I HAD THE A/C ON BLAST. APPARENTLY THE BACK OF MY NEW DENALI ACADIA 2014 WAS NOW ONLY BLOWING WARM AIR. I SHUT OFF THE REAR AIR ROLLED DOWN THE WINDOWS AND FULLY BLASTED ONLY THE FRONT A/C UNIT. I LIVED ONLY 3 MINUTES AWAY SO I RACED HOME AND GOT HIM OUT OF THE VEHICLE. AFTER A FEW MINUTES HE WOKE UP AND STARTED TO APPEAR HIS NORMAL SELF. I WENT BACK OUT TO THE VEHICLE AND RETESTED THE REAR AIR NOT WORKING. AFTER I CONFIRMED IT I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP WHERE I PURCHASED MY VEHICLE. I HAVE BEEN LOOKING THIS ISSUE UP ON THE INTERNET AND IT APPEARS TO BE QUIT COMMON. WITHOUT MY MOTHERLY INSTINCTS AND FORMER TRAINING MY SON COULD HAVE POSSIBLY DIED FROM HEAT INJURIES IN MY BRAND NEW VEHICLE. WHILE I WAS DRIVING MY CAR IN TRAFFIC, THE GREEN CAR INDICATOR LIGHT CAME ON AND SLOWED DOWN MY SPEED TO A COMPLETE STOP. I PULLED OVER AND ALLOWED CARS TO GO AROUND ME AS I TRIED TO RESTART THE VEHICLE, 3 TIMES, AND IT WOULD NOT START. I CALLED ONSTAR TO SEE IF THEY COULD DO A CAR CHECK AND TOLD ME NOTHING WAS WRONG. AFTER AN HOUR OF BEING STUCK ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD WITH A CAR THAT WOULD NOT START, ONSTAR GOT ME A TOW TRUCK AND TOWED ME TO THE DEALER SHIP. THE DEALER SHIP AT FIRST COULD NOT FIGURE OUT WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE CAR AND TRIED TO SEE IF IT WAS THE INDICATOR LIGHT, AFTER 3 DAYS THE CALLED ME AND INFORMED ME THAT THE BATTERY HAD A BAD CELL WHICH HAD CAUSED THE CARS SYSTEM TO SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY WHILE I WAS DRIVING. THEY GAVE ME A NEW BATTERY AND THAT CLEARED UP THAT PROBLEM. I AM VERY CONCERNED WITH THIS HAPPENING TO SOMEONE ON A HIGHWAY, IMAGINE IF SOMEONE COULD NOT CONTROL THERE CAR AND SPEED WHILE DOING 70 MPH IN THE FAST LANE, THIS COULD EASILY CAUSE A CAR CRASH!!! I WAS FORTUNATE TO BE IN A NEIGHBORHOOD ONLY GOING 25 MPH BUT IT STILL COULD HAVE CAUSED A ACCIDENT SINCE THERE WAS CARS BEHIND ME.
