While towing the camper, we experienced multiple catastrophic tire blowouts (including 2 on the same day, tires were all new) due to the axles being out of alignment. Tire blowouts caused damage to our camper and hit vehicles traveling behind us on the road. Upon arriving at our destination, we had the camper inspected and found that the frame had failed. The frame under the camper was bent and was not attached to the body of the camper in multiple places. As a result, the front of the camper sustained two large holes where the fiberglass structure pulled away from the frame. On the interior, cabinets and other structures pulled away from the walls and the floor sagged. Both axles were pushed out of alignment, causing the tires to blow out. The camper was in extreme danger of the actual body coming off of the frame while on the road. It was not safe to drive. The manufacturer (jayco) claims that the axel/frame manufacturer is responsible for the manufacturing defect and denies any responsibility and refuses to inspect or cover the damages. *tr

After two years of limited service, the frame on my travel trailer bent severely making the unit unusable. There was no indication of why the frame failed or any preliminary indication until it happened. The manufacture claims no responsibility for engineering defects. There have been documented accounts of several other owners with the same issue. I have had a frame specialist repair the unit, but am concerned with the longevity and the other units on the road. On sept. 10th 2018 our rv dealer checked the tire pressure in all tires before us leaving with the trailer to travel to elberta al. We left above location at approx. 0900hrs. In route to elberta al. At approx. 1330hrs. Near mile marker 52 on i65 sb tire 1 blew out we pulled over on the side of the interstate and changed the tire with the spare tire. We purchased a new tire to replace tire 1. Tire shop mounted the new tire back on & placed the spare tire back on the spare carrier & again checked tire pressure in all tires & they were at the correct psi. We left that location & traveled to our campground a few miles down the road. We stayed at our location until sept. 17th 2018. No picture available & we did not keep the tire of the first blowout on sept. 17th 2018 we left elberta al back in route to calera al at approx. 0930hrs. At approx. 1115hrs near mile marker 60 on i65nb tire 2 blew out. We pulled to the shoulder of the interstate. The blowout resulted in the tread wrapping around the axle and breaking system of the trailer. After many attempts to get the tread off the trailer and my husband causing injury to his arms from the wires of the tire, we contacted a towing company for assistance at the recommendation of towing services from the county sheriff's office. The tow owner arrived & was able to remove the tread and place the spare tire on. This blowout resulted in break damage to break 2 & skirt damage to the camper. We continued to our destination exiting i65nb in montgomery & traveling the rest of the way on hwy 31. On hwy 31 near the pine level 65 over pass tire 3 blew out. We were able to pull off into a gas station parking lot. We unhitched the trailer & had to drive to the nearest tire service center & replaced the tire from the second blow out to place on the 3rd blowout. I rented boom-lift trailer, one piece unit, 20 miles up the hill on tollhouse road, the right tire rolled off the bead in a lt curve, the trailer flipped on it's side and went over the embankment, dragging my rear tire to the precipus. It cost me $740.00 to pull it onto the road and flatbed it to the rental site. The chp investigated and issued a report, blaming the under-rated tires as the cause, and relieving me of any responsibility for causing the accident. The rental company has done nothing to repair the trailer, and is still renting it's twin out to unsuspecting renters with the same tires that the chp ruled as not meeting vehicle requirements for the weight of this trailer. Trailer dmv plate gross weight (gvwr) is 3,825 lbs the tires on it read max load 1,760 lbs at 50 psi, it only has 2 tires. The trailer tires are m108 radial st milestar dot4yb3 the tire page on this site doesn't list them. *tr

Upon inspection of the black water waste tank behind the commode with the lever open, the waste pressure was built up and the contents of the tank splashed the contact's face and the surrounding area. There were no injuries sustained. The motor home was inspected by a dealer who determined this was the design of the waste tank. The manufacturer was alerted.
