The contact owns a 2012 Subaru Impreza. The contact stated that there was an abnormal whining sound coming from the vehicle. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to several independent mechanics and the contact was informed that there was a defective gasket on the transfer case and the transmission needed to be replaced. The transmission was replaced. The contact stated that while a relative was seated in the front passenger’s seat, the passenger’s side air bag warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the independent mechanic where a code reader determined that there was a defect with the front passenger’s side air bag sensor. A dealer was notified of the failure and an appointment was made to have the vehicle serviced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 88,000.

Over the past three months, the front driver and passenger airbag lights have been on in my 2012 Subaru Impreza while driving. Documented videos attached were on 01/11/23, 01/20/23, and 04/04/23. It has happened at least 6 times and possibly more. I contacted Subaru after it happened and took it to the local Subaru dealer, who advised me to bring the car in when the airbag light was on, as at my 1/17/23 visit, they could not figure out the cause of the airbag light. On 4/4/23, while driving on the expressway, the airbag light came on, and as advised, I drove it straight to the local dealership. Code B1650 was pulled off the airbag system, which I am told could be 3 different reasons. On 4/10/23, I contacted Subaru Customer Advocacy and said the local dealer's solutions were unacceptable and to wait and see. Again on 4/12/23, while my daughter was driving on the expressway with my son in the passenger seat, the airbag lights on again for both the passenger and driver. As I told Subaru on 4/10/23, this Subaru Impreza is unsafe to drive, and the airbags would not deploy in the case of an accident with both airbag lights on. This is a very dangerous situation that could end up with some very dire consequences. The ODS system was previously replaced under NHTSA #15V419000, but it appears that the recall part may also be defective. The passenger seat has not been altered or wet to cause malfunctions. It is a defect in the Subaru airbag system.

I just bought this car. I looked recall history. I saw that one of the recalls for this car was faulty (ODS)occupants detection system and the record showed that it is fixed. However, I just found out today that ODS system is still faulty.

THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT IS OFF AT ALL TIMES. I AM PRESUMING IT IS NOT FUNCTIONING. IT USED TO TURN ON AND OFF IN THE LAST FEW YEARS AND I WAS ABLE TO FIX IT FOLLOWING THE MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS BUT NOW IT IS PERMANENTLY OFF.

The contact owns a 2012 Subaru Impreza. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the check engine warning light illuminated. The contact took the vehicle to a dealer where the gas cap was replaced; however, the warning light returned. The vehicle was taken back to the dealer for a diagnostic test and the contact was informed that the timing belt cover, cam carrier, and O2 sensors needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and agreed to cover a partial cost of the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2012 Subaru Impreza. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle started smoking from the engine compartment. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed as an oil consumption and cam carriers failure. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where the diagnostic result was confirmed. The contact repaired the front timing seal gasket himself; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 119,000.

Took 2012 Subaru Impreza to dealer on 2/07/22 for oil change and PA state inspections (60,130 mi). Maintenance and inspections performed without issues. Started car and noticed slight change in sound and vibration from engine that I attributed to cold winter day start up. A block from leaving dealership, the check engine, oil warning and vehicle dynamic control lights all illuminated at once. In the 2-3 minutes to turn around to go back to the dealership, the engine noise/vibration/roughness increased until the engine stalled with a sound like an air compressor shutting down. I brought the service rep out for him to try restarting the car but it barely turned/wouldn't start (despite new battery and having started fine previously that day). A service tech was brought out with an ODBII scanner and found timing skip error codes and pushed the car in to a service stall to diagnose. I was then told that I need a new engine. The engine was replaced at no cost using Subaru part # SOA402F500R1 Remanufactured Short Block and associated internal component parts and returned to me on 2/19/22.

THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT, THE TRACTION LIGHT AND OIL WARNING LIGHT CAME UP ON THE DASHBOARD. INITIALLY, THE DEALER RECOMMENDED REPLACING THE OIL VALVE. I DID BUT THE THE PROBLEM PERSIST. NOW THE ENGINE IS HUNTING. THE DEALER INFORMS ME THAT ENGINE IS NOT PUMPING ENOUGH OIL DESPITE THE FACT THAT SERVICE HAS BEEN DONE REGULARLY AT INTERVAL RECOMMENDED BY THE SUBARU DEALERSHIP. NOW I AM TOLD THAT I NEED A NEW ENGINE.

Hello car just stopped on the Fla turnpike because bad valve body on transmission seem subaru knows about this problem and offered a extended warranty 10 yr or 100k but they did this during covid with stay at home orders and never sent any type of Notification my wife was almost killed when this happened to her our car has only 70k I feel they should have sent us letter we had the car since new this is a very dangerous situation for anyone owning a Subaru imprezza from 2010 to 2015 and many other Subaru have this problem as well

I was on the highway in mixed traffic for a couple hours. There was a burning smell in the cabin and then the warning lights came on including a check engine light and transmission light. The car started to jerk erratically when I accelerated and ultimately it would not accelerate. I pulled over and turned the car off as recommended in the owner's manualAfter following the manual's instructions to let the engine cool down, I attempted to turn the car on and put it in gear. It would not move when I put it in reverse or drive. The transmission failed entirely. Previous to my taking the car on this trip, I brought the car to my Subaru Dealership because I smelled the same burning in the cabin along with a strange whirring sound and the transmission light came on then too. At that time, I pulled over and read the owner's manual and did what it recommended. The car started working again after 10 minutes of cooling. This is why I brought the car to the Subaru dealership to have this issue inspected. At the time they recommended that I change the CVT fluid and that the issue would then go away. The issue did not go away. When I informed them that the car was unsafe and dangerous to drive because of the jerking and violent shuddering, they told me that I should trade the car in or pay for a new transmission. They did not tell me that the 2012 version of the car had a history of issues with its CVT, and that some of the repairs were covered under warranty.

Two instances of CVT Transmission failure. First: Occurred at 102,926 miles, car only 8 years old. While driving, suddenly many warning lights came on and the car started shuddering. The lights were Check Engine, Oil Temp, Cruise Control, vehicle dynamics, and ABS. I drove my car to a transmission shop, who read the codes 2764 and and 0700. He replaced the TCC Solenoid and valve body on 11/18/2020. I drove the car for 6 more months to ~106,000 miles successfully, until... The Second Issue: On 6/6/21 while driving my car, it stopped accelerating. I couldn't go above 18 mph! This was a huge safety issue. I had to drive on major roads with a speed limit of 50mph going only 18mph, with my hazard lights on. I'm so fortunate it happened to be at 10pm on a Sunday night, or I could have gotten in an accident. Once I got home, I called AAA and had them tow my car back to my transmission mechanic (because I couldn't get to my mechanic without getting on the highway, which would obviously be unsafe at 18mph). My mechanic said it was an issue with the same solenoid again having shorted out, which means that it's actually a deeper issue with the CVT transmission burning through solenoids. The solenoid is just a symptom, not the root problem. Then, I finally googled Subaru solenoid issues, and I discovered this is a well documented problem, that has already been reported to your office, and yet Subaru has not yet issued a recall. Only an extended warranty, which only goes up to 100,000 miles so it doesn't help me!! My transmission wore out at 102,000 miles. Do you think it's a coincidence that Subaru made their warranty for 100,000? I'm lodging this complaint in hopes that your office sees the CVT transmissions are still a safety issue, and the warranty hasn't solved the problem. Please get Subaru to issue a recall! This is unacceptable behavior from a car manufacturer. Thank you.

WAS DRIVING AT 60 MPH NORMAL HIGHWAY SPEED AND BUNCH OF LIGHTS CAME ON THE DASH WHILE DRIVING. TROUBLE CODES PULLED ON SCAN TOOL WERE P2764 AND P0700, THESE CODES INDICATED BAD SOLENOID ON CVT TRANSMISSION VALVE BODY THEREFORE HAD TO REPLACE THE CVT VALVE BODY. CAR HAS 146,000 MILES HOWEVER CVT HAS BEEN PROPERLY MAINTAINED AND CVT FLUID REPLACED EVERY 30,000. SUBARU IS HIDING THE ISSUES WITH THE CVT MODEL TR-580 AND PURPOSELY EXTENDING THE WARRANTY ONLY UP TO 100,000. I BELIEVE THEY KNOW THE CVT WILL FAIL AFTER 100K AND DON'T WANT TO PUT OUT THE MONEY TO ISSUE A PROPER RECALL. THE OPTIONS TO FIX THE ISSUE ARE EITHER CVT VALVE BODY REPLACEMENT OR FULL TRANSMISSION REPLACEMENT WHICH ARE BOTH VERY COSTLY. SUBARU NEEDS TO ISSUE A PROPER RECALL BECAUSE I WORRY THAT MY REPLACEMENT OF VALVE BODY COULD MEAN I STILL NEED TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE CVT TRANSMISSION IF SOMETHING ELSE FAILS ON THE INTERNALS IN THE NEAR FUTURE.

PASSENGER SEAT AIRBAG WARNING LIGHT SHOWS PASSENGER AIRBAG DISABLED WHILE A PASSENGER IS IN THE SEAT. THIS HAPPENS WHETHER THE CAR IS MOVING OR STOPPED. CAR IS A 2012 SUBARU IMPREZA 5-DOOR WAGON, BUILT 10/2011. I SEE 2012 IMPREZA SEDANS HAVE BEEN RECALLED, BUT I AM HAVING THE SAME ISSUE AS THOSE, BUT MY CAR IS A 5-DOOR WAGON AND ISN'T ON THE RECALL LIST. PLEASE EXPAND THE RECALL.

OCCUPANT DETECTION SUSTEM ON PASSENGER SIDE MALFUNCTION, DOES NOT ALWAYS RECOGNIZE PASSENGER. SOMETIME S IT STOPS WORKING IN MIDDLE OF TRIP. HAPPENS SPORADICALLY, BUT IS BECOMING MORE FREQUENT AND DOES NOT ALWAYS RESOLVE WITH RESTARTING CAR. HAS TO DO WITH CAPACITANCE DETECTION, BUT SO FAR SUBARU DEALERS I CONTACT ACT LIKE IT'S NOT AN ISSUE THOUGH EARLIER MODEL APPARENTLY HAS RECALL FOR EXACT ISSUE. AND NO THE PASSENGER ISN'T WET. HAS BEEN OCCURRING FOR OVER A YEAR AND WE HAVE PULLED OVER AND RESTARTED CAR, BUT ON RECENT TRIP IT WAS MUCH WORSE. AND SHOULDN'T BE HAPPENING ANYWAY!

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE WITH A PASSENGER AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND THE LIGHT FOR THE PASSENGER AIRBAG SAID OFF. WHILE DRIVING, MY PASSENGER LOOKED UP SOME TROUBLESHOOTING FOR THIS ISSUE. APPARENTLY THERE IS A RECALL FOR OTHER SAME YEAR, SAME MAKES AND MODELS OF MY VEHICLE. MY VEHICLE IS NOT PART OF THIS RECALL BASED ON WHAT MONTH IT WAS MADE. AFTER I STOPPED THE CAR AND RESTARTED IT, THE LIGHT DID NOT ILLUMINATE AGAIN UNTIL I WAS GOING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AGAIN. THIS HAS HAPPENED MORE THAN ONCE. EVERY TIME WITH A PASSENGER AND DRIVING ON AN EXPRESSWAY.

I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE HIGHWAY WITH MY MOTHER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT WHEN I SUDDENLY NOTICED THAT THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON THE DASHBOARD HAD COME ON. I THEN LOOKED AT THE PASSENGER AIRBAG SENSOR LIGHT AND NOTICED THAT IT WAS IN THE "OFF" POSITION. IT CONCERNED ME THAT MY PASSENGER WAS NOT BEING DETECTED BY THE AIRBAG SENSOR, ESPECIALLY CONSIDERING THAT I WAS DRIVING AT A SPEED OF 65 MPH. WE CONTINUED TO OUR DESTINATION AND THEN SHUT OFF THE CAR AND RESTARTED IT TO SEE IF THE AIRBAG SENSOR WOULD DETECT MY PASSENGER, WHICH IT DID NOT. AFTER THIS INCIDENT, I BROUGHT THE CAR TO MY DEALERSHIP SERVICE CENTER AND WAS TOLD THAT THE SENSOR IN THE SEAT WAS FAULTY AND, AS A RESULT, THE ENTIRE SEAT BOTTOM NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, AT A COST OF ABOUT $1000. THEY CLAIMED THAT THE SENSOR CAN BE RENDERED INEFFECTIVE BY LIQUID SPILLS, THOUGH I HAVE NO RECOLLECTION OF EVER SPILLING ANYTHING LIQUID ON THE PASSENGER SEAT OF THIS CAR. I THEN LOOKED ONLINE AND DISCOVERED THAT THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH THIS MAKE/MODEL/YEAR SUBARU, AND THAT SUBARU ACTUALLY ISSUED A RECALL FOR 32,000 2012 SUBARU IMPREZAS (HTTP://BLOG.CARANDDRIVER.COM/SUBARU-RECALLS-32000-IMPREZAS-FOR-AIRBAG-SENSORS/). UNFORTUNATELY, AS WAS EXPLAINED BY MY DEALER, MY PARTICULAR VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THAT RECALL. THE DEALER'S SERVICE REPS EXPLAINED THAT IF I CONTINUE TO DRIVE WITH A PASSENGER IN MY VEHICLE AS IS, THE PASSENGER AIRBAG MAY NOT DEPLOY IN AN ACCIDENT, AS THE SENSOR MAY OR MAY NOT BE ACCURATELY DETECTING THE PRESENCE OF A PASSENGER. I BELIEVE THIS IS A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN, AND ONE WHICH I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY TO FIX, CONSIDERING THAT THERE HAS ALREADY BEEN A RECALL AFFECTING THE EXACT SAME MAKE/MODEL/YEAR CAR THAT I DRIVE. SINCE SEEING THE DEALER, I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN ONCE MORE. I WAS DRIVING CITY STREETS WITH A PASSENGER, AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT CAME ON AND THE PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHT WAS "OFF."

THE AIRBAG SENSOR IN THE PASSENGER SEAT HAS FAILED 3 TIMES WHILE THE CAR WAS UNDER WARRANTY AND NOW AGAIN OUT OF WARRANTY. WHEN A PASSENGER IS SITTING IN THE SEAT WHILE DRIVING, THE AIRBAG SENSOR DOESN'T RECOGNIZE THE PASSENGER'S WEIGHT, AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT WILL NOT TURN ON, PUTTING MY PASSENGER AT RISK. UNDER WARRANTY, CARR SUBARU IN BEAVERTON OREGON REPLACED THE SENSOR EACH TIME IT FAILED. THEY BRIEFLY EXPLAINED TO ME THAT THE SENSOR "FAILS ALL THE TIME" AND "ITS POORLY DESIGNED." IF I UNDERSTOOD THEM CORRECTLY, THESE TYPE OF SENSORS ARE NO LONGER USED IN NEWER MODELS OF MY CAR. I AM NOW HAVING THE AIRBAG ISSUE AGAIN AND I AM NOT COVERED BY WARRANTY, I FEEL THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. SUBARU SHOULD TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THIS FAULTY SYSTEM AND REPLACE IT COMPLETELY, RATHER THAT JUST REPLACING THE SENSOR THEY ALREADY KNOW IS FAULTY.

The fan controls in the center of the dash failed. Fan speed 1&2 work, but 3&4 do not. After pulling the center dash controls out, I found that the plug connecting the fan speed controls to the wiring harness was burnt. This is a concern cause it could have burned other components or caused a fire.

The AC unit suddenly shutoff and there was a burning smell while I was driving. It turns out that the connector on the back of the climate control unit had either drawn too much current, or the resistance was too high, and the connector had started burning. Fortunately, the melted plastic interrupted the electrical connection, and the fire had went out on its own. It looks like this is not an isolated incident, and several others have dealt with similar when looking online.

50% of the time or more, the ignition refuse to release the key. When turning the key to take it out of the ignition, there are three clicks before the key releases. Mine often clicks twice and will not go beyond this point. I searched and found at other people have the same problem. Sometimes if I place my foot on the brake and put it in neutral, then back to park it will release, but this does not work every time and it can lead to much confusion when parking. People sometimes can’t tell if im trying to move or park. This doesn’t appear to be an isolated incident

MY CAR KEY GETS LOCKED / STUCK IN MY IGNITION WHEN I PUT MY CAR IN PARK AND ATTEMPT TO TURN IT OFF. IT CAN TAKE UP TO 5 MINUTES FOR THE KEY TO BECOME FREE AND I AM ABLE TO REMOVE IT. THIS HAS BEGUN TO HAPPEN MORE FREQUENTLY RECENTLY AND NOW HAPPENS ALMOST EVERY TIME I PUT MY CAR IN PARK. THIS HAPPENS WHEN MY CAR IS STATIONARY.

ON THE HEATER CONTROLS, FOR THE FAN SPEED, THE CONNECTOR ON THE BACK CAUGHT FIRE, I WAS ABLE TO STOP IT IN TIME TO PREVENT ANY FURTHER DAMAGE. MY MOTHER IN LAW AND MY SON RIDE THAT CAR DAILY, COULD OF BEEN A DISASTER. I HAVE PURCHASED A NEW PART, REPLACED THE PLUG, AND SAME ISSUE OCCURED, STARTED SMOKING AND RUINED ANOTHER HEATER CONTROL. USED AUTO PART LOCATIONS NEAR ME REPORTED THE SAME ISSUE ON AT LEAST 3 OTHER CARS. SEE ATTACHED IMAGES.

The contact owns a 2012 Subaru Impreza. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, upon pressing the horn, he became aware that the horn was inoperable. The contact stated that the failure had previously been intermittent. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the steering roll connector. The vehicle was repaired. After investigating the failure, the contact related it to NHTSA Campaign Number: 10V283000 (Steering) but the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, and a case was opened. The failure mileage was 80,000.

DEALER INDICATES THERE IS A SERVICE BULLETIN FOR THIS ISSUE (CRACKED EPS GEAR BOX), SO IT IS KNOWN. BUT THERE HAS NOT YET BEEN A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE.

THIS TIME $9500 DAMAGE TO MY CAR, UNKNOWN AMOUNT TO OTHER CAR. STATE FARM SHOULD HAVE TOTALED CAR, SAID INTERIOR WAS IN GREAT CONDITION. SO NOW WE HAVE TO KEEP DRIVING A CAR THAT IS NOT SAFE. 3. 3/5/18 (APPROX) THIS TIME I WENT TO PICK UP MY GRANDSON AT AFTERNOON PROGRAM, THE PARKING LOT ON HILL OVERLOOKING THE SCHOOL. STOPPED TO PARK, NEEDED TO PULL UP A BIT, GENTLY STEPPED ON GAS AND CAR SURGED HARD AND QUICKLY. IF CURB HAD NOT BEEN BIG ENOUGH, I WOULD HAVE WENT DOWN HILL INTO CLASSROOM FULL OF CHILDREN. THE RESPONSE FROM SUBARU HAS BEEN THERE'S NOTHING WRONG, JUST VERY RESPONSIVE GAS PEDAL. BS! I HAVE BEEN DRIVING FOR 40 YEARS WITH NO ACCIDENTS NOW 2 IN 6 MONTHS AND I ALMOST WAS INVOLVED IN A MAJOR TRAGEDY. THIS NEEDS TO STOP NOW BEFORE SOMEONE IS KILLED. MAKE SUBARU RECALL IMMEDIATELY AND FIX THIS ISSUE. I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE, I FOUND OUT ONLINE. THE REASON WE BOUGHT A SUBARU WAS FOR SAFETY , NOW IT IS NOT SAFE TO DRIVE.

ON THREE SEPARATE OCCASIONS (APRIL 10, 2016, JUNE 13, 2016 AND AUGUST 5, 2016),SUDDENLY AND WITHOUT WARNING, THE CAR STOPPED RESPONDING TO GAS PEDAL INPUT, STOPPED RUNNING, AND COASTED TO A STOP. THE ENGINE WOULD CONTINUE TO RUN, BUT THE CAR WOULD NOT MOVE. FORTUNATELY THE INCIDENTS OCCURRED WHILE ON CITY STREETS, AND NOT ON THE FREEWAY. HAD I BEEN ON THE FREEWAY, I WOULD HAVE BEEN REAR ENDED. THAT WOULD HAVE HAD TRAGIC, PERHAPS FATAL CONSEQUENCES. THE CAR IS CURRENTLY AT THE DEALER'S FOR REPAIR AFTER THE THIRD AND LATEST INCIDENT. I HAD TAKEN IT TO THE DEALER'S AFTER EACH OF THE OTHER INCIDENTS AS WELL.

I WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AND I WAS ACCELERATING TO PASS SOMEONE WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN MY CAR REVVED UP VERY HIGH AND ACCELERATED VERY FAST TO AN UNINTENDED SPEED. I BRAKED WITH NO EFFECT. I PUT ALL MY WEIGHT ON THE BRAKE, ALMOST STANDING UP, FOR ABOUT 10 SECONDS, THEN I HEARD A LOUD SNAP UNDER THE CAR, LIKE I JUST UNSTUCK SOMETHING, THEN IT REVVED BACK DOWN TO A CONTROLLABLE SPEED. I drove slowly approximately 1-2 miles, using the emergency brake and downshifting to control my speed, stopping at a local auto repair garage. On inspection, on the brake lines had rusted through completely and the other was soft, leaking brake fluid.

THIS ISSUE HAS HAPPENED TWICE, SO I FEEL IT'S NECESSARY TO REPORT IT TO THE NHTSA. THE FIRST TIME THIS ISSUE WAS HAPPENING, I WAS FOLLOWING ANOTHER CAR GOING SLIGHTLY DOWNHILL AT ABOUT 30MPH. THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT WAS 35MPH SO I FELT LIKE I WAS CONSTANTLY SWITCHING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN THROTTLE AND BRAKE, BUT NOT SO QUICKLY AS TO PRESS THEM AT THE SAME TIME. WHEN THIS ISSUE OCCURED, THERE WERE THREE SOLID YELLOW/ORANGE/GOLD (DEPENDING ON HOW YOU LOOK AT COLORS) LIGHTS LIT UP SOLIDLY IN THE INSTRUMENT CLUSTER: THE TRACTION CONTROL LIGHT, THE ABS LIGHT, AND THE HILL HOLD ASSIST LIGHT. I IMMEDIATELY PULLED INTO THE NEAREST PARKING LOT WHICH WAS ABOUT 15 FEET AWAY. I TRIED EVERYTHING TO GET THE LIGHTS TO GO AWAY BEFORE TURNING THE CAR OFF, AND WHEN NOTHING WORKED I FINALLY JUST CYCLED THE IGNITION OFF THEN BACK ON. ALL THREE MAGICALLY WENT AWAY BY DOING THIS. THE SECOND TIME THIS HAPPENED WAS ONLY A FEW DAYS AGO AND I WAS LITERALLY JUST SITTING IN MY DRIVEWAY ON A LEVEL SURFACE. MY HOUSE IS RECESSED INTO THE GROUND ABOUT 10 FEET FROM THE TOP OF MY DRIVEWAY, WHERE THE TOP IS ACTUALLY LEVEL AND IT IS WHERE I WAS SITTING AT. SITTING THERE, I REVVED MY ENGINE AND SLOWLY ROLLED DOWN THE DRIVEWAY (IN NEUTRAL, SO I DIDN'T GO ANYWHERE). BEFORE THE RPMS WENT BACK TO AN IDLE I STARTED ROLLING DOWN OUR DRIVEWAY (WHICH IS AT LEAST A 30 DEGREE SLOPE DOWNHILL) BUT WHEN ROLLING DOWN I WAS DEFINITELY ON THE BRAKES A LITTLE AS TO NOT GO EVEN PAST 1MPH -- SO VERY SLOW. I NOTICED ALL THREE LIGHTS CAME ON AGAIN. THIS TIME I DECIDED TO LET IT SIT FOR A WHILE SO I CAN TRY EVEN MORE TROUBLESHOOTING. STILL NO RESULTS UNLESS I CYCLED THE IGNITION. I TOOK IT INTO THE DEALER TODAY FOR AN ECM UPDATE THEY SENT ME IN THE MAIL, AND THEY SAID THEY DID SEE A "BRAKE SWITCH ERROR" FOR CODE "HISTORY" BUT THERE WERE NO CURRENT CODES. A SIMPLE GOOGLE SEARCH SHOWS HUNDREDS OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME PROBLEM.

WE HAD BEEN DRIVING FOR 5 HOURS WHEN LIGHT CAME ON SAYING PASSENGER AIRBAG OFF. STOPPED FOR GAS, TURNED CAR OFF AND BACK TO NORMAL FOR ONLY 5 MINUTES. FALSIFICATION OF RECALL SERVICE WORK PERFORMED FOR RECALL WQT-55 THAT IS RELATED TO THE AIR BAG NOT DEPLOYING BASED ON AN ISSUE W/ THE OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM. WALDORF SUBARU STATES THEY PERFORMED THAT THEY DIDN'T DO. SUBARU HAS BEEN EXTREMELY SLOW AN UNRESPONSIVE IN ADDRESSING THIS ISSUE. MY CAR WAS ORIGINALLY TAKEN TO WALDORF SUBARU TO HAVE THE RECALL PERFORMED, AFTER WHICH I HAD A SERVICE WORK ORDER INDICATING IT WAS COMPLETE. I RECEIVE A PHONE CALL 2 DAYS LATER FROM THE PARTS MANAGER INDICATING THE "PART THAT WAS NEEDED FOR THE RECALL IS NOW IN STOCK." AS A SECOND CHECK, I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO ANOTHER SUBARU LOCATION (HERB GORDON SUBARU/MILE ONE) TO CHECK IT OUT AND VERIFY IF THE RECALL HAD BEEN IN FACT FIXED, THIS PROVED THAT IT HAD NOT BEEN FIXED. I OBTAINED A SERVICE WORK ORDER WITH THESE DETAILS. I CONTACTED SUBARU TO HAVE THEM ADDRESS THIS, AND THEY HAVE BEEN SLOW TO RESPOND AND HAVE BEEN UNRESPONSIVE TO THE CONCERNS THAT HAVE BEEN RAISED. The occupant control unit in my car has failed, and there is an open recall (Reference #WQT-55R) for the engine diagnostic code (B1650) for my specific part number for the occupant control unit, but the Subaru dealership is saying that my VIN number does not apply. The problem is a well known Subaru issue where the passenger airbag fails to turn on, and Subaru has recalled other vehicles of our make and model from this year (2012) for this problem.

WE WERE RIDING ALONG AT LESS THAN 40MPH, AND WITH NO WARNING, THERE WAS A SUDDEN, LOUD, EXPLOSION NOISE ON THE ROOF OF THE CAR. WE PULLED OVER TO DISCOVER THAT THE SUNROOF HAD SHATTERED. THERE WAS NO ONE ON THE ROAD NEAR US AT THE TIME, AND THERE IS NOTHING ABOVE TO SEND ANYTHING DOWN. WE ARE POSITIVE THAT NOTHING HIT OUR ROOF. IF THE INTERNAL COVER HAD NOT BEEN CLOSED ONE OF THE 3 OF US COULD HAVE BEEN SERIOUSLY INJURED AND THIS INCIDENT VERY NEARLY COULD HAVE CAUSED A SERIOUS ACCIDENT. SUBARU REFUSES TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR WHAT IS VERY CLEARLY A MANUFACTURING DEFECT.

The Airbag warning light has been lit within the dashboard. The front passenger seat airbag is faulty and is not able to correctly sense when a passenger is within the seat or not, which disables the airbags. This can be deadly to the passenger if in an accident. The issue seems to be in the ODS passenger seat mat that determines when the airbag is active or not. If moisture is able to get within the mat, then it can short the circuit and cause airbags to not deploy. My car was "supposed" to already been fixed with the issue in 2015 on the recall #WQT55, NHTSA Campaign 15V419000, but I don't believe the underlying issue was fixed correctly or the same part has failed again. Looking further into recalls, the exact same issue is happening again with Subarus with #WRA-24 and NHTSA campaign 24V227. The dealer has asked me to pay over $1700 on to replace this part. Subaru America should fully cover the cost of any Passenger ODS issue especially when there have already been two recalls with the exact same issue.

DRIVING DOWN MOUNTAIN AFTER DAY OF SKIING. ROADS WERE TREACHEROUS AND ICY. 20 MINUTES INTO THE DRIVE, DRIVER AND PASSENGER AIRBAG LIGHTS TURNED ON, INDICATING THAT AIRBAGS WOULD NOT DEPLOY IN THE CASE OF A COLLISION. SEVERAL MONTHS LATER I WAS WEARING A DAMP BATHING SUIT WHILE DRIVING AND THE SAME SITUATION OCCURRED, INDICATING THAT THE AIRBAGS WOULD NOT DEPLOY IN THE EVENT OF A COLLISION. ON ANOTHER OCCASION, I WAS DRIVING ON A HOT DAY WITH THE WINDOWS DOWN. I WAS SWEATING QUITE A BIT AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON MY SUBARU IMPREZA TURNED ON YET AGAIN. THIS ISSUE WAS BROUGHT UP WITH THE DEALERSHIP WHILE THE CAR WAS STILL UNDER WARRANTY. THE DEALER'S SERVICE DEPARTMENT SIMPLY RESET THE SENSOR, NOT SOLVING THE ISSUE OR COMPREHENDING THE SEVERITY OF THIS ISSUE. THE OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR IN THE SEAT MUST HAVE FAULTED AND TURNED OFF THE AIRBAGS WHEN A SMALL AMOUNT OF SNOW/WATER/SWEAT ON MY REAR CAUSED A FAULT IN THE ELECROSTATIC SENSOR. THE OCCUPANT DETECTION SENSOR IS AN ELECTROSTATIC SENSOR THAT WILL FAULT WHEN IT SENSES AN ARBITRARY AMOUNT OF MOISTURE. ON 6/26/16 HE WENT FOR A ROUTINE OIL CHANGE AND WITHIN ONE WEEK THE CAR WAS COMPLETELY SEIZED. THEN WE BEGAN CALLING- DAILY OR EVERY OTHER DAY; TO THE SERVICE MANAGER AND EMAILING TO CORPORATE SUBARU- ASKING WHAT IS WRONG WITH HIS CAR? WHY DID IT HAPPEN? WHAT CAN BE DONE? WHAT WILL IT COST? FINALLY, ON 8/22/16, WE HEARD FROM SUBARU SAYING THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUTSIDE THE WARRANTY -BUT WILL AUTHORIZE A $2,000. TOWARD REPAIR OR NEW CAR. WE CALLED THE DEALER AGAIN BECAUSE WE STILL HAD NOT HEARD OR RECEIVED A REASON/QUOTE OF REPAIR. WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WAS DAMAGE TO A PISTON AND IT WOULD COST AT LEAST $10,000. IN A CRIME RIDDEN NEIGHBORHOOD I HAD A FLAT TIRE WHICH I WAS UNABLE TO CHANGE. THIS WAS DUE TO MY SUBARU LABELED AND PACKAGED "MCGARD" WHEEL KEY WHICH CRACKED AND BECAME UNUSABLE. TIRE SALES AND REPAIR FACILITY SUMMONED FOR ASSISTANCE REPORTS THEY HAVE A "BUCKET" FULL OF THIS BRAND OF WHEEL LOCK "KEYS" WHICH CRACKED AND BECAME UNUSABLE. AFTER MY FIRST MCGARD WHEEL LOCK KEY CRACKED, MCGARD SENT ME A FREE WHEEL LOCK "KEY" AND SAID THE ORIGINAL CRACKED, BECAUSE SOMEONE USED EXCESSIVE AIR-WRENCH TORQUE TO REMOVE LUG NUTS. I BELIEVE THIS TO BE UNTRUE, BECAUSE TO ELIMINATE THIS POSSIBILITY, I PERSONALLY ATTEMPTED TO REMOVE THE FOUR KEYED WHEEL LOCKS (WITH MY BRAND NEW WHEEL LOCK KEY) PRIOR TO A TIRE ROTATION AT A TIRE SALES FACILITY. UNABLE TO CHANGE FLAT TIRE. THE WHEEL-NUT OR LUG-NUT TORQUE REQUIRED BY SUBARU IS 89FT LBS. THIS TORQUE WAS THE TORQUE ON MY WHEEL-NUTS, AS VERIFIED TWICE BY A NEW-TIRE SALES FACILITY. WITH SUBARU'S 11 1/2" WRENCH, MOST WOMEN AND MANY MEN (MYSELF INCLUDED) CANNOT LOOSEN THESE NUTS. MY WEIGHTLIFTING NEIGHBOR COULD NOT BELIEVE HE COULD NOT LOOSEN THE LUG-NUTS WITH THE SUPPLIED WRENCH. THEY ARE THAT TIGHT! THE OWNER'S MANUAL CAUTIONS NOT TO STAND ON THE WRENCH. The contact owns a 2012 Subaru Impreza. The contact stated that while driving approximately 30-40 MPH, the vehicle lost power steering functionality and was driven with manual steering. The failure occurred while driving at various speeds. The contact stated that approximately four days after the first failure, the steering wheel failed to move. Additionally, the vehicle was losing oil and one quart of oil had to be added every month. The contact stated that the power steering, ABS, TPMS, transmission automatic transmission fluid (ATF), and 4-WD failure warning lights were illuminated. The passenger occupant sensor chimed for the passenger to secure the seat belt consistently even though the occupant was seated with the seat belt buckled securely. The contact who is a certified mechanic had replaced the rack and pinion. The contact noticed that the threads on the tie rods were close in proximately risking the chance of damaging the tie rods. The ABS module had been replaced. The contact believed that the engine needed to be replaced but the engine was not replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and opened a case. The manufacturer confirmed there was no recall for the failure. The manufacturer referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was 164,964.

Brake Lamp Switch failed in 2018 - we diagnosed the issue, based partly on information from other Subaru owners who had the same problem, and replaced the switch. Since that time, the brake lights have worked fine. We reported this in a letter to Subaru after their recall for the brake lamp switch replacement in 2019. They refused to pay for the part as we no longer have the receipt (not having a crystal ball, we couldn't see any reason to keep it for more than a year in 2018). We did not contest this - in fact, I had merely asked, in my letter, that they note that the part had already failed and been repaired in their records - however, they continue to flag the car as an open safety recall and insist that we bring the car in to replace a switch that no longer needs replacing. I am filing this complaint in the hope that an official record of the incident will fix the records on our car, as their constant recall notices are becoming increasingly more insistent and annoying, and they have also inaccurately noted it as an open recall at the DMV.

WHEN DEPRESSING THE CLUTCH PEDAL, THERE IS A SQUEAK COMING FROM UNDER THE DASHBOARD WITHIN THE FOOTWELL AREA. SQUEAK IS CONSTANT. FOR SUBARU HAS ISSUED A SERVICE BULLETIN #12-190-15R TO FIX THE CLUTCH & BRAKE PEDAL ASSEMBLY FOR MODEL YEARS 2015-2016 BUT NOT BEFORE. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT A CRACK IN THE ASSEMBLY IS CAUSING THIS ISSUE AND IF LEFT UNATTENDED, ULTIMATELY COULD CAUSE DECREASED OR COMPLETE FAILURE OF THE CLUTCH AND/OR BRAKE FUNCTIONALITY. SUBARU HAS REDESIGNED THE ORIGINAL PART (#36004FG050) WITH A NEW ONE (#36004FG051) BUT HAS NOT OFFERED TO FIX UNDER AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. I FEEL THIS SHOULD BE A LIFETIME PART, WHICH IS CRITICAL TO SAFELY OPERATING THE VEHICLE, AND ANY REPLACEMENT COST TO FIX SHOULD BE PAID FOR BY THE MANUFACTURER REGARDLESS OF THE VEHICLE'S AGE. THE FOLLOWING WHERE MY WIFE'S INJURIES AS SHE WAS DRIVING: ACUTE CERVICAL MYOFASCIAL STRAIN, CERVICAL STRAIN, CLOSED HEAD INJURY, DYSARTHRIA, ELBOW CONTUSION, HEADACHE, MUSCLE TENSION HEADACHE, POST CONCUSSION SYNDROME, AND SHOULDER CONTUSION. SHE RECEIVED ALL THESE INJURIES BECAUSE THE SIDE IMPACT AIRBAGS DID NOT DEPLOY WHICH HAS TO BE A MAJOR MANUFACTURING FLAW OF SOME TYPE. PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THIS HAPPENED. DRIVING HOME ON 12/11/16, THE CHECK ENGINE, VEHICLE DYNAMICS CONTROL, AND CRUISE CONTROL INDICATORS CAME ON SIMULTANEOUSLY. CHECK ENGINE AND VDC INDICATORS WERE STEADY, BUT CRUISE CONTROL WAS BLINKING. THE NEXT MORNING WHEN I STARTED THE CAR, THE PROBLEM WAS STILL THERE SO I IMMEDIATELY WENT TO SUBARU TO HAVE IT CHECKED OUT. THEY DISCOVERED CODE P1449: "EVAP SYSTEM CLUGGED CHECK & FOUND SPIDER WEBS IS EVAP DRAIN & VALVE ASSY. TECH RECOMMEND REPLACE EVAP DRAIN & VALVE ASSY." THEY REPLACED EVAP DRAIN & VALVE ASSEMBLY AND PERFORMED EVAP SYSTEM CLEAN REINSTALL WHICH FIXED THE ISSUE. TOTAL COST 617.28 (416.50 FOR 3.5 HOURS LABOR, 41.16 FOR VALVE AY DRA, 159.62 FOR VALVE AY ELC). WHEN I FIRST GOT THE CAR IN DEC 2011, I PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY (GOLD PLUS) WHICH COVERS 6 YEARS OR 60,000 MILES WITH $0 DEDUCTIBLE. BEFORE FIXING THE PROBLEM ABOVE, THEY ESTIMATED IT WOULD COST ME $600-$700 OUT OF POCKET SINCE THEY SAID THIS PROBLEM WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY BECAUSE IT WAS CAUSED BY A SPIDER AND NOT A PART DEFECT. I CALLED SUBARU'S WARRANTY DEPARTMENT WHICH SAID THE SAME THING. I MENTIONED THAT MAZDA, SUZUKI, HONDA, AND HYUNDAI ALL HAD THIS PROBLEM A FEW YEARS BACK AND THAT MAZDA AND SUZUKI HAD RECALLS, WHILE HONDA AND HYUNDAI WERE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. SUBARU AGAIN STATED THAT THEY DO NOT COVER IT. AFTER THE FIX, A SERVICE CENTER ADVISOR SAID HE SEES THIS PROBLEM A LOT BUT UNFORTUNATELY SUBARU DOES NOT COVER IT. I ASKED HOW TO PREVENT IT FROM HAPPENING AGAIN AND HE SAID TO SPRAY PEPPERMINT OIL OCCASIONALLY AROUND THE FUEL TANK AREA BELOW THE CAR SINCE THE SMELL DETERS PESTS. I PAID THE BILL TO GET MY CAR. I HAVE SPOKEN DIRECTLY WITH SUBARU DEALERS/SERVICE MANAGERS IN 3 DIFFERENT CALIFORNIA CITIES WHOM HAVE BEEN ALERTED TO THIS OIL CONSUMPTION ISSUE AND HAVE CASUALLY EXPLAINED THE CONSUMPTION OF 3-5 QUARTS OF OIL BETWEEN CHANGES AS NORMAL. RESEARCH SEEMS TO SHOW THAT SOME SUBARU DEALERS HAVE BEGUN TO REPLACE THE SHORT BLOCK OF THE ENGINES THAT ARE CONSUMING TOO MUCH OIL, BUT ONLY FOR THOSE WITH DOCUMENTED OIL LOSS. THOSE PEOPLE THAT VISIT THE DEALER EXCLUSIVELY FOR THEIR SERVICE ARE LIKELY THE ONES WHO WILL HAVE THEIR ENGINES REPLACED WITHOUT COST, LEAVING THE REST OF US OUT TO DRY. SUBARU NEEDS TO RECTIFY THIS PROBLEM, NOT SWEEP THE ISSUE UNDER THE RUG AND FORCE THE SUBARU CUSTOMER BASE TO PAY TOO MUCH FOR AN ENGINE THAT WAS NOT MEANT TO LAST.

11/30/2013 WHILE I WAS DRIVING I RECEIVED A PHONE CALL ON MY IPHONE 4 AT 9:35PM. THE ENGINE STOPPED BUT BLOWER FOR HEATER, LIGHTS AND RADIO REMAINED FUNCTIONAL. I PULLED OVER COASTED TO A STOP AND RESTARTED THE VEHICLE. MY PHONE WAS NOT CONNECTED VIA BLUETOOTH TO THE VEHICLE. 1/24/2014 WHILE I WAS WAITING AT A STOP LIGHT (0 MPH) AT 7:45 AM I UNPLUGGED A HEADPHONE CABLE FROM MY IPHONE 4. ADDENDUM TO 12/30/13 COMPLAINT: IN ADDITION TO THE PREVIOUSLY OUTLINED PROBLEMS: 1. CAR IS NOW LOOSING OIL. AT 26,500 MILES THE LOW OIL LEVEL LIGHT CAME ON. CHECKED OIL LEVEL AND REVEALED CAR HAD LOST APPROX 1.5-2 QT SINCE LAST REGULARLY SCHEDULED OIL CHANGE. 2. BRAKES SQUEAL WHEN YOU FIRST COMPRESS THE PEDAL. I HAD THE BRAKES INSPECTED AND WAS TOLD NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH THEM OR THE BRAKE PAD. I DO NOT THINK THIS IS NORMAL TO OCCUR EVERY TIME YOU TOUCH THE BRAKES UNLESS SOMETHING IS WRONG. WHILE DRIVING IN NORMAL CIRCUMSTANCES, ENGINE POWER CUT OUT, AND COMPLETE LOSS OF THROTTLE CONTROL OCCURRED. THE CAR COULD ONLY ACCELERATE EXTREMELY SLOWLY, AND NOT PAST 20-25 MPH. THANKFULLY NOT ON A HIGH-SPEED ROAD. MANAGED TO GET HOME (BARELY), CAR WORKED FINE THE NEXT DAY. DEALER FOUND OBD CODE P0128, REPROGRAMMED ECM TO REMOVE THE CODE. THE SAME PROBLEM HAD OCCURRED ~1 YEAR PREVIOUSLY DUE TO A FAULTY ACCELERATOR POSITION SENSOR (NHTSA COMPLAINT RECENTLY FILED). DEALER CLAIMS CAUSES ARE UNRELATED. WHILE DRIVING AT HIGHWAY SPEEDS, WITH A PASSENGER IN THE PASSENGER SEAT, THE 'PASSENGER AIR BAG OFF' LIGHT BECOME ILLUMINATED AND REMAINED ILLUMINATED, INDICATING THE PASSENGER AIR BAG WAS OFF. AFTER PULLING OVER AND RESTARTING THE VEHICLE SEVERAL TIMES, THE SENSOR BEHAVES NORMALLY. INCIDENT HAS OCCURRED 3-4 TIMES SINCE, WITH NO APPARENT PATTERN RELATED TO VEHICLE SPEED/DRIVING CONDITIONS. SUBARU DEALERSHIP SERVICE HAS CLAIMED IT MAY BE RELATED TO PASSENGER WEIGHT OR SHIFTING IN THE SEAT, OR CELLULAR PHONE CHARGERS NEARBY. INCIDENT HAS OCCURRED WITH OR WITHOUT SAID CHARGERS PRESENT IN THE CAR, WITH PASSENGERS WEIGHING 130 LBS AND 190 LBS. ALSO, THE RELEVANT SENSOR (OCCUPANT DETECTION SYSTEM, OR ODS) IN THE 2012 SUBARU IMPREZA IS NOT BASED ON WEIGHT AT ALL, BUT ON ELECTROSTATIC CAPACITANCE. THE AIRBAGS IN THIS VEHICLE TURN OFF WHILE DRIVING (DRIVER AND PASSENGER SIDE DASHBOARD ICONS INDICATE AIRBAGS ARE TURNED OFF). VEHICLE MUST BE STOPPED AND RESTARTED FOR THE AIRBAGS TO TURN BACK ON. THERE SEEMS TO BE A RELATIONSHIP TO ELECTRONIC INTERFERENCE - PASSENGER USE OF IPHONE OR IPAD MAY BE INVOLVED - BUT IT HAS HAPPENED WITH NO PASSENGER AS WELL. DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD WITH A PASSENGER, AIRBAG LIGHT SWITCHES TO OFF AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT ON THE DASH ILLUMINATES. PASSENGER CAN THEN UNBUCKLE SEAT BELT AND NO ALARMS SOUND ALERTING THAT THE SEATBELT IS OFF. THIS HAS HAPPENED ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS. TOOK TO DEALER AND THEY BLAMED IT ON A PAIR OF JUMPER CABLES UNDER THE SEAT. SERVICE WRITER TOLD ME IT COULD HAPPEN IF SOMEONE DIDN'T HAVE ENOUGH WATER IN THEIR SYSTEM, WHICH IS BS. IF ITS NOT BS THEN I DON'T FEEL SAFE WITH A PASSENGER. EVEN AFTER JUMPER CABLES WERE REMOVED THE PROBLEM STILL OCCURS. HAVE SEEN MANY ISSUES ON FORUMS WITH SAME PROBLEM. *JS

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2012 SUBARU IMPREZA. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 15 MPH, HE NOTICED THAT THE DOORS WOULD NOT LOCK ON THEIR OWN. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE DOORS WOULD NOT OPEN WITHOUT ENGAGING THE LOCK BUTTON. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED AND THEY STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OPERATING AS INTENDED. UPDATED 7/26/12 *CN THE CONSUMER ALSO STATED IF HE LOCKED THE DOORS AND TRIED TO EXIT THE DRIVERS DOOR (OR ANY OF THE DOORS), THE DOOR MUST BE UNLOCKED BEFORE THE DOOR WILL OPEN. UPDATED 08/07/12 THE CONSUMER STATED WITH ALL THE VEHICLES HE HAS DRIVEN/RENTED, HE HAS NEVER SEEN A SITUATION WHERE THIS WAS THE CASE. IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH WHERE FUEL IS LEAKING, THE EXTRA SECONDS NEEDED TO RESET THE LOCK COULD BE THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GETTING OUT THE CAR WITHOUT INJURY OR SUFFERING SIGNIFICANT/FATAL INJURY. TOOK DELIVERY OF VEHICLE THAT HAD RECALL WVY-35 COMPLETED PRE-DELIVERY. AFTER APPROXIMATELY 45 MILES OF DRIVING (65 TOTAL ODOMETER MILES), BRAKING FORCE DROPPED TO NEAR ZERO. INSPECTION REVEALED SIGNIFICANT LOSS OF BRAKE FLUID. PROBLEM FIRST MANIFESTED WITH SLOWLY SINKING BRAKE PEDAL AT STOPS, WITH BRAKING STILL EFFECTIVE, BUT QUICKLY DEVELOPED TO THE POINT THAT THE BRAKE PEDAL WOULD GO FULLY TO THE FLOOR WITH SEVERELY REDUCED BRAKE FORCE. *TR
