Alternator went out and fried the pcm. I know certain vehicles were on the recall for this and mine was not one of them but odd that it happened anyways.

The contact owned a 2012 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while the vehicle was parked, the contact opened the door and noticed that the interior of the vehicle was completely burned. The vehicle was unoccupied. The contact stated the exterior of the vehicle had no signs of fire. The vehicle was towed to the local tow yard. The vehicle was condemned as a total loss. In addition, the contact stated that prior to the failure, there was an unknown warning light illuminated. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but provided no assistance. The contact referenced NHTSA Campaign Number: 15V879000 (Electrical System, Interior Lighting), which had a similar failure description; however the VIN was not associated with the recall. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline and report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 186,488.

While driving our 2012 Dodge Durango in town, we noticed the battery warning light come on and a hot smell coming from the vehicle. We were not far from home so we limped it back home to the garage to see what was going on. When we lifted the hood, there was a very overwhelming burning smell, our alternator was literally glowing red hot, and there was smoke pouring out from around it. We quickly put out the fire and disconnected the battery. Afterwards, we had it towed to a repair shop where it was confirmed the alternator failed as well as fried our PCM in the process. We paid for the install of a new alternator and PCM, however, the radio remained failed. Upon researching this scenario, we found there was a recall for this exact issue for the exact span of years and engine type, however, our VIN was somehow not included in this recall. That needs to be changed. The alternator issue could have been extremely dangerous for our family while in the car, as well as others around us due to what could have happened if the card didn’t make it home. We could have been stranded on a busy road way causing accidents while the car was engulfed in flames due to the alternator. Also, had we not immediately popped the hood at home to check the engine, the car could have burned down our home. We request that the NHTSA and FCA recall company address this issue and the potential for extending the recall to include other Durango VINs.

The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Durango. The contact stated while driving at various speeds, the vehicle would intermittently stall upon depression of the accelerator pedal without warning. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer where it remained in their possession for four days; the contact was later informed that the defect was related to the battery. Upon investigation, the contact discovered NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V813000 (Electrical System) which was linked to the failure. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 140,000.

The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Durango. The contact stated while driving approximately 30 MPH, the battery warning light had illuminated, and the contact notices a burning plastic odor. The contact pulled over and opened the hood and saw black smoke coming from the alternator. The contact stated that he disconnected the negative battery cable; however, he stated that positive connector was extremely hot to the touch. The contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the battery, alternator, and the Engine Control Module (ECM) needed be replaced. The vehicle had not been repaired. The contact researched online and related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V435000 (Electrical System). The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 118,000.

Sudden loud knocking then pop, started smoking pulled over immediately. Due to rod bearing failure rod went through block and all oil came out. Vehicle is available for inspection. Drivers safety was at risk because vehicle lost power and was unable to exit the roadway in a timely manner. No warning was given other than heard a couple of clicks then immediately followed by a loud pop.

While driving at various speeds, upon slowing down the vehicle stalled. This occurred 50+ times. This occurred while my family was in the vehicle on many occasions. Vehicle was serviced for fuel pump recall, however the stalling continued. My mechanic pointed out the ticking noise, referring to the manifold needing repair. Most recently, the car barely wanted to turn over. Struggling for almost 3 days, thankfully I just pulled into my driveway and turn the car off. Then something told me to try to start the vehicle…well that made something smoke in the motor? Repaired the alternator, battery, and starter. Two days later, check oil light comes on, Back to shop to tell me the cam shaft/lifers need to be replaced!!! Quoted $35-4000 if can find a cam shaft repair kit!!!

BRAKE BOOSTER HAS A LEAK IN IT SOMEWHERE. WHEN THE VEHICLE FIRST STARTS UP, THERE IS NO BRAKING ASSIST, ONCE THE CAR RUNS FOR A FEW MINUTES THE PROBLEM GOES AWAY. IF THE CAR SITS FOR A WHILE, IT HAPPENS AGAIN ON STARTUP. I KNOW THERE WAS A RECALL IN A NUMBER OF 2012 DURANGOS FOR A FAULTY BRAKE BOOSTER AND THINK MAYBE IT SHOULD BE EXTENDED TO COVER THIS ONE AS WELL.

There have been several times where I am stopped at a light or stop sign and the car stalls. It happens when I try to start going from the stop, not while I'm stopped. I believe this an issue that has been recalled already, but obviously, it did not fix the problem. My vehicle will also not turn over sometimes. It just continually try to turn over multiple times and I have to wait for it to stop on its own before I can try again.

Vehicle has been recalled 2 separate times for fuel pump wiring harness which causes no start and possible stall. Vehicle is still having no start issues after being serviced for recall.

I am trying to submit a report that a Dealer is not providing me service for a recall but there isn't a link to do so, only a missive telling me that i should. I am being told by the dealer that the parts to fix the Fuel pump relay problem on the 2012 Dodge Durango are in a National shortage at the moment but they will not provide me with documentation that proves this so i am unable to ship my vehicle home.

DODGE HAS ISSUES A RECALL TO THE FUEL PUMP RELAY. IN THE RECALL LETTER IS STATES "A VEHICLE ENGINE STALL WHILE DRIVING CAN CAUSE A VEHICLE CRASH WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING". I'VE CALLED THE DEALER AND TOLD THE RECALL PARTS ARE ON BACKORDER AND WOULD ARRIVE IN 2-3 WKS. I CALLED, THE PARTS ARE RESTRICTED MEANING THEY ARE ONLY SHIPPING 1 PART PER DEALER PER WEEK AND TALKING TO THE PARTS MANAGER MY CAR WILL NOT RECEIVE IT'S RECALL PARTS FOR MONTHS OUT. MY CAR IS UNRELIABLE AND UNSAFE TO DRIVE IN WINTER CONDITIONS IN CHICAGO. THIS IS COMPLETELY ABSURD. DODGE CUSTOMER SERVICE PROVIDED ABSOLUTELY NO REMEDIES AFTER TALKING WITH A CUSTOMER SERVICE MANAGER.

FUEL PUMP RELAY NHTSA V62, 19V-813 WHILE PRESSING THE ELECTRONIC IGNITION SWITCH TO START MY VEHICLE, MY VEHICLE WENT INTO A NO-START CONDITION WHERE THE VEHICLE CRANKED SEVERAL TIMES BEFORE STALLING OUT COMPLETELY. AFTER PRESSING THE ELECTRONIC IGNITION SWITCH TO THE OFF POSITION AND OPENING-UP MY DRIVER'S DOOR TO RESET THE VEHICLE. I WAS ABLE TO PRESS THE ELECTRONIC IGNITION SWITCH AGAIN AND START MY VEHICLE. THIS IS CONCERNING BECAUSE I HAVE HAD THE LATEST V62 RECALL REPAIR DONE CORNING THIS MATTER.

The contact received a recall notification for NHTSA Campaign Number: 19V813000 (Electrical System) however, the dealer informed the contact that the parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, the vehicle inadvertently stalled. There were no warning lights illuminated. The contact veered to the side of the road. The dealer was notified of the failure and informed the contact that they were overbooked and could complete the recall repair in two months. The contact stated that the failure had been recurring while driving. The contact also stated that the vehicle would no longer start. THIS VEHICLE HAS HAD INTERMITTEN NO START AND STALL CONDITIONS WHILE DRIVING SINCE DECEMBER 2019. IT SEEMS TO QUIT WHEN SLOWING DOWN FOR A TURN, THIS HAS LEFT MY WIFE WITH A DEAD VEHICLE IN ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THIS HAS BEEN RECALLED 2 PREVIOUS TIMES AND REPAIRED BUT THE REPAIRS HAVE NOT HELPED. DECEMBER OF 2020 DODGE FINALLY CAM UP WITH A FIX FOR THE LATEST V62 RECALL AND WE HAD THE VEHICLE FIXED. 2 WEEKS LATER IT STARTED HAPPENING AGAIN. I WOULD THINK 3 RECALLS AND REPAIRS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM WOULD BE ENOUGH TO REMEDY THE SITUATION. THIS 3RD FIX TOOK 12 MONTHS!! THE UCONNECT KEEPS CONNECTING AND DISCONNECTING WHICH IS A SAFT HAZARD DUE TO THE HANDS FREE. DEALER STATED THAT THE COMPUTER NEED TO BE UPDATED FOR WELL OVER $100. I BELIEVE THIS IS AN ISSUE THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED. THIS IS HAPPEN ALL THE TIME.

MY WIFE AND SON WAS SITTING IN OUR 2012 DODGE DURANGO CITADEL IN A PARKING LOT WAITING ON MY DAUGHTER WHEN THE HEADREST MADE A LOUD NOISE AND ACTIVATED WITH NO WARNING. LUCKY IT DID NOT HIT THEM. IT'S COULD HAVE BEEN A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION IF IT HAD HIT MY WIFE WHILE DRIVING. I HAVE REMOVED THE HEADREST FROM THE VEHICLE.

upon approach to a left turn yield, I attempted to accelerate into traffic when the automatic transmission failed into 4th gear ( transmission shift solenoid) and was unable to shift up or down through the gears and was unable to shift into the drive position. there were no other indications of failure prior to this point, I.E no engine or transmission warning lights. if there would have been oncoming traffic at the time of entry into the flow of traffic it may have caused a catastrophic rear end accident due to the vehicle inability to accelerate as usual. will have the vehicle serviced immediately. this has happened once before with the same vehicle approximately 2 years ago and the transmission shift solenoid was the issue and had been replaced by a local service center at the time.

I WAS DRIVING 65 MPH WHEN I NOTICED THE 4WD LOW LIGHT COME ON WITHOUT HAVING SWITCHED TO THAT SETTING. THE CAR ENGINE WAS RACING. I CAME TO A STOP AT A SAFE SPOT, SHIFTED INTO PARK AND SWITCHED THE 4WD LOW KNOB TO THE NORMAL POSITION OF AWD. I DIDN'T NOTICE ANY ISSUES FOR SEVERAL MONTHS; THE CAR WAS OPERATIONAL. THEN, I WAS DRIVING LESS THAN 10 MPH IN 2WD ON A GRAVEL DRIVEWAY. THE CAR SHIFTED INTO AWD FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS ON A MUDDY SPOT, THEN THE AWD OFF LIGHT CAME ON THE DASH, ALONG WITH THE SERVICE AWD LIGHT. I TOOK THE CAR TO A REPAIR SHOP TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM. THE CAR WAS RUNNING IN 2WD AND I DIDN'T SWITCH IT TO 4WD LOW. THE REPAIR PERSON SHIFTED IT INTO 4WD LOW AND IT GOT STUCK THERE. THE REPAIR PERSON SAID IT WAS THE TRANSFER MOTOR CASE OR A SENSOR, WITHOUT 100 CERTAINTY. I'M CONCERNED THAT, EVEN IF REPLACED AND REPAIRED WITH CURRENT MODELS OF THE TRANSFER MOTOR CASE, THE CAR WILL UNEXPECTEDLY SHIFT INTO 4WD LOW WHILE DRIVING ON AN INTERSTATE AND CASE DAMAGE TO THE CAR AND AN ACCIDENT.

I FILED A COMPLAINT RECENTLY ABOUT MY VEHICLE STATING I THOUGHT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WITH MY TRANSMISSION SOLENOID BUT I TOOK IT TO A TRANSMISSION REPAIR SHOP TODAY AND WAS TOLD MY TRANSMISSION WAS FAILING. I'M FILING THIS COMPLETE CAUSE I BELIEVE THIS ISN'T SOMETHING THAT JUST HAPPENS OUT OF THE BLUE. I TAKE MY CAR IN FOR REGULAR CHECK UPS AND INSPECTIONS AND HAVE ALWAYS FIXED ANYTHING THAT WAS WRONG WITH IT. MY CAR IS STUCK IN GEAR 4 AND IT'S AN AUTOMATIC AND THIS IS A SUDDEN MISHAP THAT HAS ME WONDERING WHY THIS WOULD HAPPEN WITHOUT WARNING OR HAVE BEEN TOLD ABOUT THIS PROBLEM PRIOR TO IT HAPPENING.

Hard, front collision with deer, spun several times before rolling over a couple times down a small hill. Side air bags deployed but front did not deploy resulting in severer and additional driver injuries including but not limited to chest contusions, spleen hematoma and concussion. He was hospitalized and has a long road ahead. Car was totaled and towed. Insurance company has it now. They and responders are aware front air bags did not deploy. Consumer stated husband had severe injuries.

ON NOV 28 2020 I WAS INVOLVED IN A MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT IN MY 2012 DODGE DURANGO. I WAS TRAVELING ABOUT 45 MPH ON A DRY 2 WAY ROAD, WHEN ANOTHER VEHICLE PULLED OUT IN FRONT OF ME AND I WAS UNABLE TO AVOID A COLLISION. THE ACCIDENT WAS BAD ENOUGH TO FLIP THE OTHER VEHICLE AND CAUSE THEIR AIRBAGS TO DEPLOY BUT THE AIRBAGS IN MY VEHICLE DID NOT DEPLOY. THIS CAUSED ME AND MY PASSENGER TO HAVE NO PROTECTION, OTHER THAN THE SAFETY RESTRAINTS. BOTH HAVE SUFFERED HEAD, NECK AND BACK INJURIES. I had just picked my car up from getting brakes and an inspection (obviously passed). I was driving home and there was smoke from under the hood with an electrical fire smell. My dash went crazy then I completly lost power. I had no stearing or brakes- couldn't even put on my hazards or roll down the window down to tell cars behind me to pass me. I immediatly called the garage that had just done the work to get it towed. They called today and told me that the alternator blew up and fried the battery and possible the computer (tip module??) I looked up recalls and noticed that there has been problems with this happening but my VIN didn't come up for this. I just wanted to check into the recall before I spent thousands of dollars.

THE VEHICLE HAS HAD AN OPEN RECALL FOR OVER A YEAR ABOUT THE FUEL PUMP RELAY. MY VEHICLE HAS STOPPED RUNNING A FEW TIMES WHILE BEING DRIVEN ON THE FREEWAY. AT FIRST, IT WAS ABLE TO RESTART AFTER A FEW MINUTES. THEN, THE VEHICLE DID NOT START AT ALL. DODGE SAYS THEY STILL DO NOT HAVE THE PROPER RECALL REPAIR PART MADE YET AND WOULD STILL REPLACE IT WITH THE CURRENT PART THAT HAS BEEN RECALLED. I DID NEED TO HAVE THAT DONE TO BE ABLE TO DRIVE. AFTER 2 MONTHS OF DRIVING AN 80 MILE DAILY ROUND TRIP TO WORK AND HOME, IT HAS STOPPED RUNNING AGAIN. I HAVE CALLED DODGE AND TRIED TO GET THE VEHICLE TOWED AND FIXED PROPERLY BUT THEY ACT LIKE IT IS NOT THEIR COMPLETE CONCERN. THEY ARE CURRENTLY NOT PROVIDING TOWING OR A RENTAL. My vehicle has had recalls performed multiple times since 1st purchased in 2012. The issue was vehicle stalling. At 1st Chrysler / Dodge addressed it as issues upon start up where the vehicle sounded as though it was skipping when hitting the ignition button. They attempted to remedy this with multiple fuel pump relay recalls. They attempted to do internal which did not work. They then went external which also did not work. Nothing was ever formerly recognized as a suitable resolution, so any of us dealing with this were just forgotten. Well I still have this vehicle and it has gotten worse to the point the vehicle will randomly stall while in motion as it did the other day and on multiple other occasions. Under braking conditions the vehicle stalls where everything on the dash appears normal electronically, there is just no power and the steering locks up. I have addressed this multiple times with Dodge customer service as well as my local dealership. The dealership does not want to attempt any repairs because they want to be paid and the manufacturer is not entertaining it. I am aware the vehicle is out of warranty but I am not paying for something the manufacturer has known about since first purchased. There has been no further actions by the manufacturer to address this. They have moved on to newer existing Durango models.

The 2014 through 2018 3.6L Pentastar motors are covered under a tech service bulletin for their Drivers side valve train being manufactured incorrectly. This can lead to a misfire and hesitation to accelerate in an Emergency. This happened to me recently and I thought it was just a bad spark plug. Mechanic did a full check and believes there is a stuck valve in the engine on the exact same side that the 2014 to 2018 motors are prone to failure. I believe the 2012 and 2013 Engines are also prone to the same failures as their newer counter parts. As I was trying to accelerate to avoid an incident my car stuttered and started to misfire badly. Almost causing a collision. This happened without warning and never previously had this issue. Vehicle was completely mechanically sound before this. This can happen without any warning or signs its going to happen. And after bringing the vehicle to a mechanic and doing much of my own research it appears that the drivers side of the 3.6L v6 in my vehicle is currently under a TSB for the #2,4,6 cylinder head. This can cause the vehicle to have no power for a moment which if I were merging onto the highway and lacked powered could result in a rear end collision. Believe this is a safety issue as well as mechanical issue.

THE ENGINE REGULARLY WILL NOT START WHEN I PUSH THE BUTTON. IT STALLS OVER AND OVER. SOMETIMES LEAVING US STRANDED. THIS HAS BEEN HAPPENING SINCE AT LEAST 2016 AND I HAVE HAD ALL RECALLS REPAIRED. I Came into dealership for scheduled service appointment on Apr 5, 2023 10:30:00 AM at EDWARDS CDJR OF OMAHA to get recall fixed on fuel pump relay and an oil change after receiving my 2012 Dodge Durango Citadel back my lights randomly starting blanking and my vehicle stalled and it wouldn’t start or turn over. So I spoke to service rep [XXX] at EDWARDS CDJR OF OMAHA 17950 Burt St and had the car towed back to the dealership that fixed on it EDWARDS CDJR OF OMAHA. I was originally told they didn’t have a loaner to lend to me so I can continue being a caregiver to my mother and transport her and my 7 children around until 04/21/2023 and that someone would call me that day to pickup a loaner vehicle. I called on 04/21/2023 about the loaner and they said someone would call me by midday to pick up a loaner. Now it’s Monday 04/24/2023 and I get a text stating 10 things are wrong with my vehicle in this link https://c.xtime.com/vkepCy2nkAoA2L4fXX including the PCM, which was more items then what was originally stated when they had inspected my vehicle on 04/05/2023 during the recall fix. So I informed them that, “ I will not pay for the pcm to be fixed because this issue is a result of whoever was the mechanic that was originally supposed to fix the recall fuel pump relay, so your shop has to fix it due to negligence on your mechanic's fault. I don't want to have to take anyone to court or give this issues to an attorney, this was sent to better business bureau because I have been left without transportation and facing economic hardship due to this situation.” Then they had their Service Manager [XXX] reach out to me over the phone, and he said that he spoke to three on-site master mechanic at the dealership and they all said the PCM had nothing to do with the fuel pump relay recall. I asked about escalating the issue and submitting an incident report to an higher up authority, he said he can’t. I asked again about the loaner he said there’s no loaner available. Had the recall for shutting down repair again and still having the same problem. I've spent over $2000 In diagnosed fees with dealership and private shops and still having the same problem. Yes the fuel pump relay was replaced 2 times. Still having the same problem it will start back up but locks the steering wheel to where you can't turn it. Which almost was in a accident but was able to stop before. It's happens every month but was told not to bring it back to the dealership as they cant find the problem as all recalls were repaired.

MY 2012 DODGE DURANGO HAS LOST ALL POWER WHILE I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IT. TODAY IS THE 4TH TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED IN ABOUT 2 MONTHS. MY POWER STEERING STARTED TO GO OUT INTERMITTENTLY ABOUT A MONTH AGO. WE WERE SURE IF IT WAS A GLITCH SINCE THE CAR CAN SOMETIMES BE GLITCHY,LIKE THE RADIO FUNCTIONS NOT WORKING OR THE CAR CUTS OFF BUT IS SOMEHOW STILL RUNNING. ANYWAY, ON 18 AUG, I NOTICED THAT THE POWER STEERING WOULD GO OUT IF YOU DON'T PRESS THE BREAK PADDLE. AGAIN, IT DIDN'T START OUT THAT WAY, BUT PROCEEDED THE MOVE I DROVE. BY 26 AUG, IT WAS GOING OUT JUST ABOUT FROM THE TIME I STARTED THE CAR UNTIL I STOPPED FOR THE DAY. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP ON28 AUG AND HAD THE PUMP REPLACED. I GOT MY CAR BACK ON 29 AUG. SO FAR, NO ISSUES. THE INCIDENTS TOOK PLACE MAINLY WHILE SLOWING DOWN TO MAKE A TURN, PARKING. THE FIRST 3 TIMES THE REPAIR WAS PERFORMED UNDER WARRANTY BY LARRY H MILLER DODGE, 4220 E 22ND STREET, TUCSON, AZ. 85711, (520) 745-1000. IN THESE CASES, THE DEALER CLAIMED A HOSE HAD COME OFF AND THEY CONNECTED IT BACK ON. DOCUMENTATION ON THESE REPAIRS AVAILABLE IS UPON REQUEST. THE ISSUE WAS REPORTED TO CHRYSLER-DODGE CONSUMER AFFAIRS DEPT. AND WAS ASSIGNED CASE NO. 24966049. MY VEHICLE LOST STEERING POWER FOR THE FOURTH TIME ON DECEMBER 21, 2015. IT LEFT A HUGE PUDDLE OF FLUID ON THE PAVEMENT AND THE POWER STEERING CONTAINER IS EMPTY. EVERY TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED, WE HAVE BEEN LUCKY TO AVOID AN ACCIDENT. HOWEVER, WE HAVE BECOME AFRAID OF DRIVING THE VEHICLE. THE CAR IS NOW PERMANENTLY PARKED WITH NO POWER STEERING. I BELIEVE THERE IS A DESIGN OR MANUFACTURING DEFECT WITH THE HOSE THAT KEEPS COMING OFF. PUTTING IT BACK ON IS NOT AN ACCEPTABLE FORM OF REPAIR. HEARD FROM A FRIEND WITH A 2011 DURANGO THAT THEY HAD LOW POWER STEERING FLUID WHEN THEY HAD THEIR MAINTENANCE CHECK UP. I HAD BEEN HEARING A MILD GRINDING NOISE WHEN I WOULD MOVE MY STEERING WHEEL AT TIMES SO I TOOK IT IN TO HAVE IT CHECKED. SURE ENOUGH, THE POWER STEERING FLUID LEVEL WAS AT A VERY LOW LEVEL. THEY HAD TO PUT SOME IN AND THEN SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT TO COME BACK AND LOOK FOR A LEAK. CAME BACK, FOUND NO LEAK AND BLAMED IT ON THE MANUFACTURER FOR HAVING AN AIR BUBBLE OR SOMETHING. This family car had recall back in august fuel module for powertrain check engine light got it fix and few days later check engine turn on and has turned off since car slows down on freeway wont pick up speed and stall on me twice already with kids in car was going 65 and all sudden slow down wiuldnt pick up acceleration and turn off has run good since still having issues dealership says noting wrong with it

2012 DODGE DURANGO HAS HISTORY OF STARTING AND STALLING PROBLEM. WHILE VEHICLE WAS UNDER WARRANTY, IT WOULD STALL RIGHT AFTER YOU START IT. THE DEALER PERFORMED FUEL PUMP RELAY RECALL, AND PROBLEM WAS NOT FIXED. THE NEXT DEALER REMOVE THE EXTERNAL FUEL PUMP RELAY AND REPLACED TIPM, PROBLEM WAS STILL NOT FIXED. DEALER THEN RE-COMPLETED THE FUEL PUMP RELAY RECALL, PROBLEM STILL NOT FIX. NOW THE VEHICLE IS STALLING WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE ROAD AND SEEMS TO HAPPEN WHEN YOU TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. THERE IS A RECALL FOR THIS ISSUE (T36) BUT DODGE IS SAYING THAT MY VEHICLE DOES NOT QUALIFY FOR THAT RECALL. I HAVE CALLED CHRYSLER CARE OPENED A CASE, WHICH THEY ASSISTED IN SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT FOR THE VEHICLE AT THE LOCAL DODGE DEALER. THE CASE WAS CLOSED BY CHRYSLER SINCE THE DEALERSHIP COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE PROBLEM. WE BOUGHT THIS VEHICLE WITH 50,000 MILES ON IT AND IT NOW HAS 76,000 AND HAS STALLED ON US SEVERAL TIMES I WOULD SAY (12) OVER THE 26,000 MILES WE HAVE POUT ON IT. I HAVE A 2012 DODGE DURANGE RT. WHEN PARKED AT A GAS STATION, TRIED TO TURN ENGINE ON WITH PUSH START SWITCH AND ENGINE DOES NOT START. WHEN PUSHING START SWITCH AGAIN IT MAKES THE SOUND LIKE THE ENGINE IS TRYING TO TURN OVER BUT DOES NOTHING. IN ORDER TO GET THE ENGINE TO STOP FROM MAKING THE TURN OVER NOISE I HAVE TO MOVE FROM PARK TO IN GEAR. THEN I RECEIVE THE "IGNITION OR ACCESSORY ON" MESSAGE. IN ORDER TO GET THE MESSAGE CLEAR I HAVE TO TURN OFF VEHICLE WITHOUT PRESSING THE BRAKE. THIS PUTS THE ENGINE INTO THE OFF MODE AND I HAVE TO START THE PROCESS TO GET THE CAR TO START ALL OVER AGAIN. While picking my son up from religion my vehicle suddenly stalled without warning. Thankfully I was pulling into the church parking lot and was in no real danger. I tried to jump start the vehicle with no success, but did notice the insulation on the jumper cables had started to melt. Towed to mechanic and was told the alternator had failed, in turn fried the battery. He replaced both, but then discovered the PCM was fried as well. Took it to the dealer here and was told faulty alternator again, which was replaced again, only to be told the PCM was fried. Now I'm into this for $3000 and I have no faith in the vehicle, the manufacturer, or the dealerships.

I bought this vehicle second hand and was not warned of any recalls. I started having problems in April of 2023. Windshield wipers would turn on by themself, car would randomly shut off. I brought to several shops and nobody could figure out why it was reading “high voltage”. The car then started having occasional problems shifting. I eventually got on MOPAR website to be made aware there were 3 recalls and alternator was one of them. I called musson patout dodge in new Iberia, LA and made an appointment to fix my car. On the morning of our appointment the car died in the road on the way to dodge and wouldn’t restart without a jump. I brought it in and over the son of 3 days the fixed all the recalls. On my way to pick it up they called and made me aware it would need a new battery I told them I will go replace it as soon as I get the car. Since I picked up the car the shifting problems have not stopped. I have had a code reading “implausible data from tcm”. I have had a mechanic TELL me this recalled alternator going out is what cause this tcm to go out and Musson REFUSES to take it in and even diagnose it without over $170 that I don’t have to spend anymore. This is consequential damage that dodge should be held liable for and they are giving me the most difficult time, it’s my only vehicle for me and my 2 kids and I cant even drive it anymore.

The truck was in park and idling. We were not moving. There were no abnormal lights on the gage cluster. Out of knowwhere the head rest exploded forward and hit the back of my father-in-laws head. He is OK but it was a hard hit and left him sore. Luckily we were not driving on the freeway.

THE BRACKETS THAT HOLD THE PIN IS/WAS BROKEN. I ALSO LEARNED THIS IS NOT SUPPOSE TO HAPPEN UNLESS YOU ARE HIT FROM BEHIND AND IT SHOULD DEPLOY TO AVOID WHIPLASH, THIS WAS NOT THE CASE, LUCKILY MY PASSENGER WAS NOT INJURED FROM THE HEADREST DEPLOYING PREMATURELY. I CONTACTED THE DEALER TO LEARN THIS WAS NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY PLAN I HAVE. THE REPAIR COST IS 911.85 THAT I AM RESPONSIBLE FOR, I PAID 135 JUST TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT, WHICH WILL GO TOWARDS REPAIRS IF FIXED WITHIN 30DAYS, THIS COST IS NOT WITHIN REACH FOR ME. My fairly new teen driver drove the car to the gym and the headrest basically “exploded” onto the back of his head with a swift blow. He had a very bad headache and was really freaked out. There were no lights, no notice, no impact. Just out of the blue drivers side. Called local dealership to see what it could be and apparently the pin can break or the plastic holding the pin and the airbag restraint type system in the headrest will just explode open as if in an accident. He said no recalls and out of warranty. How can this NOT be a serious safety issue??? My inexperienced teen driver could have been so stunned he caused an accident! Anyways they said it would be roughly $1100 to replace entire headrest because there is no option to repair it once deployed. Can we still drive it? If we don’t have that $ now

Headrest exploded while I was driving. Hit me in the head. Gave me a concussion. Dealership says there is no recall. I have to pay out of pocket. This is a safety feature. I am not paying for the repairs.

The headrest deployed under normal driving conditions. A quick google search shows I'm not the only one with this issue. Some have described this issue as the headrest "exploding" since it disengages in a very quick and forceful manner. Some Dodge Durango Models from 2011 - 2018 fall under recall "(X88) Active Head Restraint" but for some reason I'm being told my 2012 Dodge Durango does not fall under this same recall.

The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Durango. The contact stated while driving approximately 70 MPH, the vehicle started overheating. The contact pulled safely off the highway and turned the vehicle off and waited for nearly an hour before restarting the vehicle and driving back to her residence. The contact stated that the check engine warning light was illuminated. The contact had the vehicle towed to an independent mechanic who diagnosed the vehicle and determined that the thermostat needed to be replaced. The failure persisted. The thermostat and water pump were replaced by an independent mechanic. The vehicle continued experiencing the overheating failure. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where the thermostat and water pump were replaced a second time. The failure recurred. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 122,400.

IN DECEMBER 2011 I PURCHASED A NEW 2012 DODGE DURANGO CITADEL FROM NORTHTOWN DODGE CHRYSLER JEEP RAM (NDCJR), IN TONAWANDA, NY. I AM HAVING AN ISSUES WITH PERIODIC STALLING WITHOUT WARNING WHILE DRIVING. IN APRIL 2016 WHILE SLOWING DOWN TO EXIT RIGHT VIA A THRUWAY RAMP THE DURANGO STALLED AND STEERING WHEEL LOCKED WITHOUT ANY WARNING. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE INTO NDCJR ON 4/30/2016 AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE 'UNABLE TO MAKE ANY REPAIRS BECAUSE THEY COULD NOT DUPLICATE THE ISSUE'. IN JULY 2016, MY HUSBAND EXPERIENCED THE STALLING WHILE MAKING A LEFT TURN. Was driving on Hwy at 65 mph. Rear drivers side tire blew out. Sidewall split and cause the tread to detach. Caliber Collision has pictures of the damage. I had to immediately pull to the side of a busy hwy at dusk. Just managed to get off the road. Called 911 but they didn’t stop to talk to us. AAA towed me to Caliber Collision. Total damages were $10,587.67. Car was totaled by USAA insurance. No warning ahead of time and the tire was 3 years old. Less than 25,000 miles put on it. Warning came on as I was pulling over after the flat but it was too late. Now I have an accident on my record when I only collided with the ground by the flat.

WE PUT OUR DURANGO AWAY EACH WINTER AND DOESN'T GET DRIVEN UNTIL WE BRING IT OUT IN THE SPRING. 2 YEARS AGO I PULLED IT OUT IN THE SPRING. I FOUND 2 OIL PUDDLES WHERE THE REAR WHEELS SAT. ALL THE OIL HAD LEAKED OUT OF THE REAR SHOCKS. I HAD THEM REPLACED BY MY MECHANIC AT A COST OF $450 EACH, USING DODGE ORIGINAL PARTS. I WENT INTO OUR GARAGE A WEEK AGO (FEB 18TH 2021) AND FOUND THE LEFT REAR SHOCK HAD LET GO AGAIN, ANOTHER PUDDLE ON THE GARAGE FLOOR. IF THESE LET GO WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING, THE VEHICLE BOUNCES VIOLENTLY. I KNOW THIS BECAUSE I HAVE DRIVEN IT THAT WAY FOR ABOUT 10 MILES TO OUR MECHANIC, I HAD ALL I COULD DO TO HANG ONTO IT.

MY DURANGO STARTED MAKING NOISE IN THE BACK END, AND SEEMED UNSTABLE AT TIMES HANDLING, AND EVEN WORSE WHEN TOWING. THE NOISE WAS MOST PRONOUNCED GOING SLOW OVER BUMPY ROADS, LIKE A CLUNKING NOISE. UPON RESEARCHING I DISCOVERED THAT THESE VEHICLES ARE KNOWN FOR HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE REAR SELF-LEVELING SHOCKS. THESE SHOCKS ARE NOT A CHEAP FIX, BUT KNOWING I HAD NO OTHER CHOICE BUT TO REPLACE THEM WITH THE SAME PROBLEMATIC SHOCKS, I REPLACED THEM. THE DURANGO WAS SILENT FOR A COUPLE DAYS, THEN A NOISE AGAIN APPEARED IN THE BACK END OF THE VEHICLE. ISSUES WITH THE REAR SHOCKS ARE DESCRIBED IN CHRYSLER TSB 17-005-13 AS WELL AS TSB 17-002-14, BUT SINCE MINE IS A 2012 DURANGO AND NOT CALLED OUT FOR THE TSB 17-002-14. THE SHOCKS THAT WERE INSTALLED ARE THE NEW SERIES AH SHOCKS (FROM AA THAT WAS ON THE VEHICLE) THE AH SERIES PURCHASED CAME WITH MOUNTS PREINSTALLED. THE VEHICLE HAS A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF NOISE IN THE BACK END, AND CLUNKING GOING ON THAT IS DEFINITELY SHOCK RELATED, IT MAY BE A DIFFERENT NOISE THEN BEFORE, BUT NOW IT IS EVEN WORSE WITH THE NEW SHOCKS. SINCE REPLACING THE SHOCKS IT IS DIFFICULT TO EXPLAIN WHEN THE NOISES/CLUNKING WILL HAPPEN ' IT USE TO HAPPEN CONSISTENTLY WHEN GOING SLOW OVER A BUMPY ROAD, NO THAT IS NOT THE CASE ' SOMETIMES IT HAPPENS WHEN GOING SLOW, SOMETIMES FASTER, SOMETIMES JUST AROUND A CORNER, THERE SEEMS TO BE NOTHING COMMON ABOUT WHEN THE SHOCKS ARE GOING TO START MAKING NOISE JUST THAT THEY WILL, AND THEY WILL MAKE NOISE OFTEN. IT JUST SEEMS THAT SOMETHING IS WRONG, AND NOT SAFE IN THE REAR SUSPENSION.

DRIVING ON A MAJOR HIGHWAY IN NJ ON 7/21/16 , ALL THE CAR WARNING LIGHTS WENT ON RANDOMLY AND UNEXPECTEDLY, WINDSHIELD WIPERS WENT ON ON THEIR OWN, RADIO SHUT OFF, ALL POWER WAS LOST AND CAR SHUT DOWN ALMOST IMMEDIATELY WITH LIMITED OR NO BRAKING OR STEERING POWER AND THE CAR WOULD NOT TURN ON ANY LONGER. I TRIED TO MAKE IT SAFELY TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD (LEFT SHOULDER WAS THE CLOSEST) WITH BIG TRUCKS AND FAST MOVING CARS GOING BY. HAD IT TOWED TO AN AUTO BODY SHOP WHICH TOOK 2 DAYS TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM WHICH THEY DEEMED A FAILURE OF THE MAIN BOARD WHICH CAUSED THE ALTERNATOR TO FAIL WHICH CAUSED THE BATTERY TO SEIZE AND FAIL AS WELL. THE COSTS OF REPAIR I HAD TO PAY TO FIX THE ISSUE ON MY 4 YEAR OLD CAR WITH 92K MILES ON IT WAS APPROX $1,500. THE SYMPTOMS AND DIAGNOSIS WERE ALMOST IDENTICAL TO THE P60 RECALL ISSUED BY CHRYLSER BUT WHEN I INQUIRED WITH CHRYSLER ABOUT GETTING MY VEHICLE COVERED UNDER THE RECALL AND REIMBURSED FOR THE COSTS OF REPAIR, THEY CLAIMED THAT THE RECALL DID NOT APPLY TO MY CAR BC IT IS 180 AMP VS 160 AMP (?) BUT IT IS VERY OBVIOUS AND CLEAR TO ME THAT WHAT HAPPENED TO MY CAR WAS EXACTLY THE SAME AS THE P60 RECALL. NOT TO MENTION IT WAS A VERY DANGEROUS SITUATION THAT I ENCOUNTERED WITH MY CAR STOPPING IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY HIGHWAY. IT COULD HAVE BEEN TRAGIC HAD I NOT BEEN ABLE TO NAVIGATE IT WELL. THE TOTALLY INTEGRATED MODULAR ENGINE (TIME) HAS HAD MANY PROBLEMS SINCE THE PURCHASE OF THE 2012 DODGE DURANGO. THE SUV HAS STOPPED DEAD WHILE IN DRIVE ON INTERSTATE 95. THE PANEL LIGHTS HAS ALL COME ON ALL AT ONCE WHILE DRIVING. THE ENGINE HAS STALLED AND WOULD NOT RESTART SEVERAL TIMES LATE AT NIGHT. THE EXTERIOR LIGHTS HAS GONE OFF COMPLETELY AT NIGHT WITHOUT PANEL LIGHT NOTIFICATION. THE FOG LIGHTS WILL NOT WORK AT ALL TIMES. THE RADIO AT TIMES WILL NOT PAY. MY BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON. WITHIN MINUTES ALL THE OTHER LIGHTS ON MY DASHBOARD CAME ON, MY AIR STARTING BLOWING HOT AND THEN IT STARTED TO STALL. LUCKILY I WAS ON A SMALL ROAD AND WAS ABLE TO COAST OFF ONTO THE GRASS. THE CAR WAS DEAD AND SMOKE WAS POURING FROM THE ALTERNATOR. I WENT AND BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY AND ALTERNATOR. WITHIN IN 2 MINUTES OF INSTALLING BOTH, MY CAR DID THE SAME EXACT THING. I HAD TO HAVE IT TOWED TO THE DEALERSHIP. I WAS TOLD IT WAS THE ALTERNATOR. I EXPLAINED THAT I HAD ALREADY REPLACED IT AND THINK IT COULD BE MORE SEVERE. THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR WITH LABOR I'M LOOKING AT $1200. THAT'S NOT INCLUDING IF THAT DOESN'T FIX THE ISSUE. THEY SAIS IT COULD HAVE FRIED MY (PCM) POWER CONTROL MODULE WHICH COULD COST ME AT LEAST $1000 MORE PLUS LABOR. HOW IS IT THEY AREN'T RECALLING THE 2012 DURANGO WITH 180 AMP ALTERNATOR BUT ALL THE OTHERS? THIS CAR IS ONLY 5 YEARS OLD, I SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR GOING ON 3 TIMES NOW. I DON'T FEEL SAFE DRIVING MY SON IN THIS CAR ANYMORE. I'VE SEEN ENOUGH COMPLAINTS SAYING THIS CAUSED ACCIDENTS SINCE THE CAR JUST DIES WHILE DRIVING.

I WAS IN LINE TO TURN LEFT UNDER THE UNDERPASS. WHEN I PRESSED THE GAS, THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE. THE WHEEL LOCKED UP AS I TRIED TO MOVE FORWARD. I HAD TO TURN ON MY EMERGENCY LIGHTS AND SIGNAL OTHER TO GO AROUND ON THE RIGHT BECAUSE NO ONE COULD PASS ME ON THE LEFT. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK AND RESTARTED IT. THERE WAS NO DASHBOARD LIGHT TO INDICATE THAT ANYTHING WAS WRONG. MY SON WAS ABLE TO RECORD AND SHOW THAT THE VEHICLE WAS STILL IN DRIVE AND NOT MOVING. I CONTACTED THE AREA MANAGER TO ASK IF THIS KNOWN, UNSAFE VEHICLE COULD BE BOUGHT BACK AT THE HIGHEST NADA VALUE. HIS RESPONSE WAS, 'I'M NOT OFFERING A REPURCHASE.' I purchased my 2012 Dodge Durango two years ago and it has been one of the most stressful issues I have ever hadz. Two days after purchasing it all the lights lit up my dash board the head lights wouldn’t go on the heater or air wouldn’t work and my windows in front would not roll down. This usually happens when I start it in the morning but it also will happen when I’m driving I almost got into a accident on the HWY at 530 in the morning coming to work when my head light just shut off. It has been back to the deal shop I bought it 3 dodge dealer ships and my personal mechanic and they can not find out what the issue is. Over the past two years it has been in the shop bout 10-15 times It has been parked more than I have been able to drive it. I am in a loan I can not get out of.

ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS UPON PULLING OUT IN TO TRAFFIC THE VEHICLE EITHER STOPPED ACCELERATING OR WOULD NOT ACCELERATE AT ALL. I PURCHASED THIS USED VEHICLE AROUND THE TURN OF THE YEAR. IT CAME ON THE FERRY JANUARY 15, 2016. BY MONDAY, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT HAD TURNED ON. C&F RAN A DIAGNOSTIC ON JANUARY 20, AND FOUND CODE PO456. WITHIN SEVERAL DAYS, I NOTICED WATER INTRUSION. THE FLOORBOARDS WERE WET AND BECOMING DRENCHED IN THE FRONT ' AND IN THE MIDDLE SEATS. EVERY TIME I CAME TO A STOP OR TURNED, I COULD HEAR WATER ROLLING THROUGH THE CAR. I TOOK IT TO RC FEBRUARY 15. WHEN THE WATER PROBLEM WAS LOOKED AT, I WAS INFORMED IT IS NOT A NORMAL LEAK, BUT WHAT IS CALLED A "PHANTOM" LEAK. TO FIX THIS, THEY WOULD HAVE TO GUT THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE. THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PUSH BUTTON PROBLEM AFTER 2 HOURS OF DIAGNOSTIC. THEY STATED THE WATER INTRUSION COULD BE A DANGER TO MY LIFE WHEN I PICKED UP THE CAR AFTER THEY HAD IT FOR 3 WEEKS. ON 3/9/16, THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME BACK ON. AS OF TODAY, 3/25/16, THE SENSOR FOR "CHECK GAS CAP" COMES ON. THIS CAR WILL BE RETURNING IN THE MORNING TO THE DEALERSHIP IN ANCHORAGE VIA THE FERRY, BUT YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT THERE ARE MAJOR ISSUES WITH THIS VEHICLE. THE WATER IN THE CAR IS CLEAN WITH NO DIRT. IN THE MORNING, THERE ARE PUDDLES THAT DISTRIBUTE THEMSELVES FROM THE FRONT TO THE BACK OF THE CAR DURING REGULAR DRIVING. THE ENTIRE FLOOR FROM THE FRONT TO THE BACK IS SATURATED WITH A LOT OF WATER. RC ENTERPRISE SAID THERE IS NO WINDOW LEAK, NO DOOR LEAK, NO ROOF LEAK. THIS MUST BE SOMETHING IN THE FRAME. THIS CAR COLLECTS WATER WHILE DRIVING OR SITTING IN PARK. DUE TO THE BATTERY BEING UNDER THE PASSENGER SEAT AND IN THE FLOOR AND THEN FILLING WITH WATER, THIS IS NOT A SAFE CAR.

I PURCHASED MY 2012 DODGE DURANGO, USED, WITH APPROXIMATELY 75K MILES. SINCE PURCHASING THE VEHICLE, I'VE EXPERIENCED NUMEROUS PROBLEMS THAT BEGAN WITH THE TRANSMISSION. ADDITIONALLY, THE CAR GOES INTO "LOW GEAR" EVEN WHEN YOU DON'T TURN THE KNOB. OVER THE PAST YEAR, THE CAR HAS BEEN IN THE SHOP MORE TIMES THAN I CAN COUNT FOR THE DOORS LOCKING AND UNLOCKING ON THEIR OWN. I HAVEN'T BEEN ABLE TO LOCK THE DOORS WHEN IN PUBLIC. MY KEY FOB HASN'T WORKED EVEN AFTER REPLACING THE BATTERY INSIDE. THE CAR HAS SET THE ALARM OFF EVEN WHEN UNPROMPTED. IT WILL LOCK/UNLOCK WHILE DRIVING.THE CAR HAS STALLED, WHILE DRIVING, AT LEAST 3 TIMES SINCE NOVEMBER 2019. FOR EACH OCCURRENCE, THE VEHICLE WAS SLOWING/EXCELLING WITH A TRAFFIC LIGHT OR TO TURN INTO A PARKING LOT. ON ONE OCCASION, THE CAR WOULD NOT CRANK OVER AND A RED LIGHT WAS BLINKING ON THE DASH. THE LOCK ISSUE BEGAN HAPPENING AGAIN AND I COULD NOT GET IT STARTED. IT HAD BEEN STATIONARY. WHEN I CAME BACK TO THE VEHICLE LATER, IT WORKED FINE WITH NO RED LIGHT. THE BATTERY GETS DRAIN OUT WITHOUT WARNING IT HAPPENS ONCE OR TWICE A MONTH LATELY IT'S HAPPENING MORE OFTEN, MY TRUCK WON'T START EVEN IF THE DAY BEFORE WAS RUNNING BATTERY WAS CHECK AND IT'S FINE. CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IT'S ON NOW ONCE THE TRUCK DIDN'T WANT TO TURN ON. TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC AND HE SAID IT WAS A RELAY ISSUE. BRAKES ARE IN THE RECALL VIN CHECK LIST ALONG ONE OTHER RECALL. THE LIGHTS INSIDE TURN ON AND OFF AS WELL AS IF THERE IS A SHORT GOING ON WHILE IN DRIVING MODE IT FEELS LIKE THE TRUCK IS LOOSING POWER EVEN THOUGH IT HAS GAS. I'M AFRAID TO DRIVE IT.

AT ABOUT 54K/56K MILES THE AIRBAG AND CHECK ENGINE LIGHT BEGAN TO GO ON AND OFF. WHEN I GOT IT CHECKED THEY DID NOT REPORT ANYTHING OUTSIDE OF AIR IS SYSTEM BUT THAT WAS COVERED IN THE DIAGNOSTIC. THEN THE CAR WOULD MAKE SUDDEN JUMPS FOR NO REASON, AIRBAG AND ENGINE AND BRAKELIGHTS REPEADEDLY CAME ON AND OFF. WHILE ATTENDING MY NEPHEW FUNERAL I GOT IT CHECKED SINCE I WOULD BE ON THE ROAD FOR NO LESS THAN 4 HRS. I LATER FOUND OUT THERE WAS A BREAK RECALL ONCE I GOT THAT FIXED (16 DEC) THE DASH WAS FLASHING EVERYTHING AIRBAGS, BRAKES, ENGINE. ONCE I PARKED THE CAR THE NEST DAY IT WOULD NOT COME ON. A JUMP DID NOT WORK. HAD IT TOWED AND TOLD IT WAS THE FUEL PUMP SYSTEM FOR A CAR JUST A LITTLE OVER TWO YEARS OLD AND THAT CHRYSLER WAS ONLY PAYING FOR 2011 DURANGOS FOR THIS ISSUE. SO I AM PAYING IN LESS THAN A WEEK OVER $800 FOR AN ITEM CLEARLY THATS AN ISSUE AND WAS TOLD I SHOULD HAVE GOTTEN AN EXTENDED WARRANTY TO AVOID NOT PAYING FACTORY DEFECTED EQUIPMENT. DISSAPPOINTED AS I ALWAYS BUY AMERICAN BUT CHYRSLER JUST LOST A CUSTOMER AND GAINED NEGATIVE ADVERTISEMENT. *JS

2012 DODGE DURANGO CREW WITH A V6. ENGINE DIED WHILE DRIVING DOWN THE HIGHWAY. I LOST POWER STEERING AND POWER BRAKES, BUT MANAGED TO GET OUT OF TRAFFIC AND LET IT COAST TO THE SHOULDER. THE ENGINE WOULD CRANK, BUT IMMEDIATELY DIE. AFTER A FEW ATTEMPTS, THE ENGINE BEGAN RUNNING SMOOTHLY. SINCE THEN, IT WILL OCCASIONALLY NOT START (THE STARTER TURNS OVER, BUT THE ENGINE WILL NOT RUN). NO CODES ARE DISPLAYING WHEN HOOKED TO A COMPUTER. A MECHANIC TOLD ME IT WAS THE TIPM AND I WOULD HAVE TO TAKE IT TO A DEALER. AFTER LOOKING ONLINE, I FOUND MANY OTHER COMPLAINTS FOR THE SAME PROBLEM. ENGINE SEEMS TO HAVE A BETTER START RECORD IF I TURN THE KEY ON AND WAIT 2 SECONDS BEFORE STARTING VS IMMEDIATELY TRYING TO CRANK THE CAR AS SOON AS I INSERT THE KEY. REMOTE START RARELY WORKS NOW. MY MAIN CONCERN IS THE ENGINE DYING WHILE MY WIFE IS DRIVING IN HEAVY TRAFFIC (SHE IS THE PRIMARY DRIVER). TO ME, THIS IS A MUCH MORE PRESSING ISSUE THAN THE CURRENT RECALLS. *TR

MY 2012 DODGE DURANGO PURCHASED BRAND NEW HAS BEEN HAVING MAJOR ELECTRICAL ISSUES SINCE THE MOTOR WAS POWER WASHED AT COVERT DODGE DEALERSHIP IN NORTH AUSTIN. THEY HAD AN INEXPERIENCED CAR WASHER CLEAN UP THE OIL THAT WAS ON THE MOTOR FROM A HOSE CHANGE. HE USED A VERY HIGH PRESSURE, PRESSURE WASHER AND IT SHORTED THE ELECTRONICS CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO SHUT DOWN UNEXPECTEDLY WITH NO WARNING. THIS HAS HAPPENED MULTIPLE TIMES WITHIN THE LAST 6 MONTHS. I HAVE HAD THE CAR AT 3 DIFFERENT DODGE DEALERS TRYING TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE. ON 9/22/2016 THE BATTERY LIGHT CAME ON WHILE GOING 75 ON THE HIGHWAY. I SMELLED A STRONG ODOR OF ELECTRICAL BURNING AND ALL THE LIGHTS ON THE DASH BOARD CAME ON, THE BLIND SPOT ALERT SYSTEM WAS STATING IT WAS INOPERABLE, THE AC STOPPED WORKING, THE SEAT BELT LIGHT AND BUZZER STATED TO GO OFF EVEN THOUGH MY BELT WAS FASTENED AND THEN THE DURANGO JUST SHUT OFF, RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE TOLL ROAD HIGHWAY STRANDING ME IN THE MIDDLE LANE. THE HAZARD LIGHTS DID NOT EVEN WORK. I PUT THE CAR IN PARK TO TRY TO RESTART IT BUT IT WAS TOTALLY DEAD, NOTHING WORKED AND THE CAR WAS STUCK IN PARK! I COULD NOT PUT THE VEHICLE IN NEUTRAL TO MOVE IT OUT OF THE HIGHWAY, SEVERAL CARS DID NOT REALIZE I WAS STOPPED AND LOCKED UP THEIR BRAKES NEARLY MISSING ME. I WAS SO AFRAID SOMEONE WAS GOING TO RUN RIGHT INTO THE BACK OF ME AND THE CAR. MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. I CALLED THE MOPAR WARRANTY ROAD SIDE ASSISTANCE AND 1 HOURS LATER I WAS ABLE TO GET THE CAR OFF THE 102 DEGREE HIGHWAY. AS A RESULT OF ALL OF THESE ISSUES, WHICH SEEM TO HAVE STARTED WHEN COVERT DODGE POWER WASHED THE ENGINE BAY, I AM NO LONGER CONFIDENT THE VEHICLE CAN BE TRUSTED AND BE RELIABLE NOT TO MENTION THE SAFETY FACTOR. SEVERAL TIMES WHILE DRIVING, THE ELECTRONIC THROTTLE LIGHT COMES ON ALONG WITH THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND IMMEDIATELY BEGINS TO JERK WHILE ON THE FREEWAY/SURFACE STREETS. IT NEARLY CAUSED AN ACCIDENT ONCE DUE TO THE DRASTIC REDUCTION IN POWER AND SPEED. SERVICE PEOPLE FOUND NOTHING WRONG AND WERE NO HELP. IT HAS REPEATED THIS SEVERAL TIMES WITH MY KIDS IN THE CAR. WHEN IT FIRST HAPPENED, WE WERE ON A ROAD TRIP 2200 MILES AWAY FROM HOME...LIMITED OPTIONS. EACH TIME WE HAD TO STOP AND REST BY TURNING OFF ENGINE, WAITING/OR RESTARTING IN NEUTRAL. THE ISSUE BEGAN AS I TOOK MY TRUCK IN FOR A RECALL ON THE BRAKE SYSTEM. I INFORMED THAT I WAS HAVING ISSUES WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM NOT FUNCTIONING. SINCE THEN THE CRUISE CONTROL ISSUE HAD A DIAGNOSTIC THAT DARCARS IS INFORMING THERE IS NOT ISSUE BUT NO REPLACEMENT OR SUGGESTIONS HAVE BEEN PRESENTED. I BEGAN HAVING PROBLEMS WITH THE PUSH START AROUND 8/1. WHEN TRYING TO START THE TRUCK IT WILL NOT TURN OVER AND EVENTUALLY WILL STALL OUT COMPLETELY. SO I ATTEMPTED TO REMOTE START WHICH WORKED FOR A COUPLE OF DAYS. SOON IT BEGAN TO CAUSE THE SAME PROBLEM. SINCE THEN I HAVE BEEN STARTING THE CAR WITH THE KEY. UNTIL 9/22, ON THAT MORNING MY SON STATED HE HEARD A HISSING SOUND FROM THE REAR DRIVER TIRE. I ALSO HEARD THIS SOUND AT APPROXIMATELY 2:15 PM. WHICH PROMPTED ME TO CALL DARCARS SERVICE CENTER BECAUSE A VANITY LIGHT RECALL WAS JUST MAILED TO US. SO I TRIED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT. BEFORE I LEFT WORK AT 5:30 I ATTEMPTED TO UNLOCK THE DOOR AND COULD NOT WITHOUT THE KEY BEING INSERTED TO THE DOOR. THE CAR WOULD NOT CRANK. I STARTED REALIZING I WAS HAVING THE SAME NIGHTMARE AS OTHERS TIPM. THE CAR IS NOW BEING WORKED ON BUT THEY ARE CALLING THE ISSUE EVERYTHING BUT WHAT IT IS SO THAT I PURCHASE A FULL PUMP RELAY, THROTTLE BOX, AND BATTERY. SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED IN 2012 THE AIR CONDITIONING DOES NOT ACTUALLY COOL WHEN THE REMOTE START IS USED. WE LIVE IN ARIZONA WHERE AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE IS OVER 110 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT, AND HAS BEEN SEEN IN THE 130S, 4 MONTHS A YEAR. I HAVE USED A THERMOCOUPLE TO MEASURE INTERIOR TEMPERATURE OF THE DURANGO AND I HAVE SEEN IT UP TO 160 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT. HAVING 2 YOUNG CHILDREN THE AIR CONDITIONING NOT OPERATING WHEN THE REMOTE START IS UTILIZED IS NOT ACCEPTABLE, WHETHER IT IS LEAVING A STORE OR AT THE HOUSE. CHILDREN ARE SUSCEPTIBLE TO DEHYDRATION AND HEAT STROKE MORE EASILY THAN ADULTS, THEREFORE EXPOSING YOUR CHILD FOR JUST A FEW MINUTES IS DANGEROUS. WE HAVE NOTIFIED THE DEALERSHIP ON MULTIPLE OCCASIONS WHEN IT IS IN FOR SERVICING. THEY HAVE YET TO PROVIDE A SOLUTION AND THEY STATED THERE WOULD BE A COMPUTER UPDATE TO REPAIR THIS. I WAS DRIVING ALONG THE HIGHWAY AT THE POSTED SPEED LIMIT. THERE WAS NOT ANOTHER VEHICLE WITHIN A MILE OF ME IN ANY DIRECTION. THERE WAS THIS LOUD BANG AND THEN THE SUNROOF SLIDER STARTED VIBRATING SOMETHING AWFUL. I HAD TO SLOW MY SPEED DRASTICALLY IN ORDER TO KEEP CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE AND HOLD THE SLIDER SHUT UNTIL I GOT HOME. THE SUNROOF HAD LITERALLY EXPLODED AND THERE WERE SHARDS OF BROKEN GLASS SITTING ON TOP OF THE SLIDER. The contact owns a 2012 Dodge Durango. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle lost motive power. The contact stated that the power steering became inoperable. There was no warning light illuminated. The A/C unit and the radio remained operational. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer on multiple occasions where it was diagnosed and determined that the computer module, crank sensor, and wiring bypass needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 79,124.

My 2012 Dodge Durango has been experiencing reaccering issues associated with the tipm and fuel pump relay. The truck will stall, hard crank or simply not crank at all; leaving me stranded sometimes. This electrical issue also affects the fog lights, front lights, brake lights and turn signals; causing them to not work; putting me in danger of a collision on the highway or city street. This tipm and fuel pump relay have been under several recalls over the past 8 years and Dodge actually lost a class action lawsuit in 2015 in reference to this issue. They were ordered to replace these parts free of charge; labeling the parts defective. I’ve taken it back to the dealer for a diagnostic and also called the corporate office but no one wants to take accountability and acknowledge what the issue is. I have attempted to contact the lawyer who started the class action lawsuit to consult about this matter but he says he can't sue them again. I’m looking to see if I have any legal recourse or what my best course of action could be in order to hold Dodge accountable for replacing my tipm and fixing this defective part for good. Thanks! There is something definitely wrong with my car. I have just now seen a recall but it occurred before the car was sold to me and it had electric issues with break fail, electrical accessories were still on as the dash notified while the car was off. It has had the seats move the steering would lock, it doesn’t provide many of the features for safety. The GPS is always wrong. I took it to the dealer several times and was told that the factory resets were fine. I don’t think that is the case. Under the hood there seemed to be additional after factory tampering with additional wires that had been added into the car.

My power locks and windshield wiper fluid pump stopped working. I took the vehicle to the nearest dealership over an hour away. After many days and an expensive car rental, the TIPM needed replacing. After researching this issue, it is DIRECTLY correlated to a dangerous issue that resulted in a lawsuit in 2015. Additionally, the recall associated with the TIPM is not fixable at this point because Dodge doesn't have parts. So, the TIPM I was given in this repair is dangerous. This was a $1067 repair for a vehicle that has 80k miles.

Lifter and limp mode problems. There is noise comming from engine. Took to shop and found out reason for noise and low power was lifters and is a very common problem. What brought the safety thing up is wife was in accident in March because couldn't get out of way quick enough. Had vehicle towed to shop from accident site and body repair. Thought was just a fluke and had damage repaired and noticed a ticking and power problems immediately after accident repair. Took to dodge dealer and found out common problem with the lifters cam and limp mode. Had at same repair shop for other recall 2 months prior for recall and inspection with no noise or issues.

THIS CAR IS A DANGER TO EVERYONE. IT RANDOMLY CUTS OFF SHUTOUT WARNING. I TOOK IT TO A MECHANIC SHOP AND THEY ADVISED THERE WAS A RECALL THAT CAUSES THE CAR TO STALL OUT AND I NEEDED TO TAKE IT TO THE DEALERSHIP TO HAVE THE WORK DONE. IT ALMOST CAUSED ME TO HAVE AN ACCIDENT BECAUSE THE CAR STALL AND LOCKED UP SO I COULDN'T TURN TO AVOID HITTING ANYTHING. THANKFULLY THE CAR WAS ABLE TO A LOW TO A STOP BEFORE HITTING Q CURB AND GOING INTO A DITCH. TYPICALLY WE HAVE TO PULL OVER AND TURN THE CAR OFF & BACK ON FOR IT TO RETURN. FROM DEC-OCT, ITS HAPPENED APPROX 5-6 TIMES. THE DEALER WASN'T ABLE TO REPLICATE THE ISSUE FOR THE DAYS THEY HAD IT, AND NO ERROR CODES WERE WRITTEN. A FRIEND ALSO WITH A DURANGO DESCRIBED TO ME SIMILAR ISSUES WITH HIS, AND SAID HIS TIPM WAS FAULTY. WE HAVE LIFETIME WARRANTY, AND THE TIPM IS COVERED, BUT THEY REFUSE TO REPLACE IT UNTIL THE DEALER CAN REPLICATE THE ISSUE AND GET AN ERROR CODE POINTING TO THE TIPM. I BELIEVE BECAUSE WE LOSE POWER STEERING, THAT THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD AND SHOULD BE REPLACED REGARDLESS.

YESTERDAY I WAS ALMOST REAR-ENDED BECAUSE MY VEHICLE LOST POWER DURING A TURN OFF THE INTERSTATE. THEY HAVE HOWEVER, CHARGED ME FOR OTHER ISSUES LIKE AN OIL PRESSURE SENSOR (SEE ATTACHED) THAT HAS NOT FIXED MY LOSS OF POWER. I CALLED FCA RECALL AND THEY HAVE SENT ME TO AN ALTERNATIVE DEALERSHIP FOR A REPLACEMENT ALTERNATOR. PRESTIGE CHRYSLER DODGE OF LAS VEGAS IS REFUSING TO FIX KNOWN SAFETY ISSUES AND ADVISED ME THAT THEY HAD TESTED MY ALTERNATOR AND KNEW IT WAS FAULTY, YET COULD NOT REPAIR IT WITHOUT THE RECALL PARTS. THEIR DEALERSHIP IS PLACING PEOPLE'S LIVES AT RISK BECAUSE THEY DO NOT WANT TO DO THE TEMPORARY FIX AND THEN HAVE TO COMPLETE THE RECALL AGAIN WHEN THE REPLACEMENT ALTERNATORS ARE ISSUED. THIS IS UNETHICAL, IRRESPONSIBLE, AND NEGLIGENT. THE RECALL WAS ISSUED IN JULY--THEY HAVE HAD MY DURANGO 3 TIMES, KNOWN ABOUT THE STALL AND REFUSED TO ASSIST ME. I ALSO HAVE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY AND ASKED TO HAVE THE ALTERNATOR REPLACED WITH THAT--THEY REFUSED AGAIN SAYING THE WARRANTY WOULDN'T TOUCH A KNOWN DEFECT. PLEASE TAKE ACTION BEFORE THIS DEALERSHIP PLACES ANOTHER FAMILY IN DANGER FOR REFUSING TO COMPLY WITH NHTSA SAFETY REGULATIONS.

MY DODGE DURANGO STOPPED WORKING ONE WEEK AGO. AT THAT TIME I LOOKED ONLINE TO FIND THE ALTERNATOR RECALL BUT THAT THEY WOULD BE NOTIFYING PEOPLE AT A LATER DATE. FOR A WEEK THEY HAD MY CAR AND REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR KNOWING DODGE HAD BAD ALTERNATORS AND MADE ME PURCHASE A BATTERY. MY CAR AGAIN DIED THE SAME DAY AFTER MY PARTNER LEFT THE LOT. AFTER IT WAS AGAIN TOWED FOR THE SECOND TIME THEY FOUND THAT MY CAR WAS NOW UNDER THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH I HAD ALREADY TOLD THEM THERE WAS AN ISSUE WITH MY CAR. THE WEBSITE STATES THERE IS NO SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM AND NOW I AM STUCK WITH A BROKEN CAR WITH MY CAR VALUE DROPPING SIGNIFICANTLY. THEY ARRANGED FOR ME TO DROP OFF THE CAR FOR TESTING ON APRIL 14. I PICKED UP THE CAR ON MAY 15- THEY CLAIM THERE WERE NO FIXES WERE MADE AND THAT THEY "COULDN'T REPLICATE THE PROBLEM". FEB 3 2017- FOURTH ELECTRICAL FAILURE AT START UP: ENGINE LIGHT ON, STABILIZATION LIGHT ON, TURN SIGNAL NON-OPERATIONAL, UNABLE TO ACCESS THE MILAGE/TEMPERATURE MENU/COMPUTER, WINDSHIELD WIPER ACTIVE EVEN THOUGH THE SWITCH WAS IN THE OFF POSITION. MY 10 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WENT TO PUT ON HER SEAT BELT (2ND ROW PASSENGERS SIDE) I WAS IN PARK CAR TURNED OFF. THE SEAT BELT FELL FROM THE WALL IN WHICH IT WAS CONNECTED. ALL DAMAGE SEEN WAS LOCATED WITHIN THE WALL. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATING OF ALL OTHER SEAT BELTS I FOUND THE 3RD ROW PASSENGERS SIDE WAS ALSO DAMAGED. I CAN COUNT ON 1 HAND HOW MANY TIMES SOMEONE HAS SAT IN THE 3RD ROW. I TOOK MY CAR DOWN TO THE DEALERSHIP AND I WAS TOLD THIS WAS DUE TO "NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR" SINCE I NO LONGER HAVE A SERVICE WARRANTY THEY WILL NOT REPLACE THE BELTS. I CONTACTED CHRYSLER DIRECTLY (REF #30773827 AND EMAIL CASE# 3424728) AND WAS TOLD THEY WOULD NOT REPLACE THE BELTS BECAUSE IT WAS CAUSED BY AN "OUTSIDE INFLUENCE AND NOT MANUFACTURE DEFECT." ENGINE STALLED AND CAR SHUT OFF. ONCE FROM A STOP WHILE TRYING TO ACCELERATE AND ANOTHER TIME WHILE TRYING TO STOP. IN BOTH INSTANCES AN ACCIDENT WAS NEARLY AVOIDED. MY WIFE ON 9/13 WAS TURNING ACROSS TRAFFIC AND THE CAR DIED AND SHE WAS ALMOST T-BONED. ON 9/14 I ALMOST REAR ENDED A CAR AS I WAS SLOWING TO A STOP AND LOST ALL POWER. WIPERS WILL COME ON RANDOMLY ON DRY, SUNNY DAYS (WHILE PARKED OR IN MOTION). CAR JERKS FORWARD INTERMITTENTLY WHEN STARTING (USING REMOTE START OR WHILE IN THE CAR). OCCASIONALLY THE CAR CONTINUES TO TURN OVER BUT NEVER ACTUALLY STARTS. I HAVE TAKEN THIS TO THE DEALER 7-8 TIMES AND THEY'VE NEVER HEARD OF THESE PROBLEMS. NO ERROR CODES RECORDED. NEVER ABLE TO BE REPRODUCED WHEN AT THE DEALER. CONTACTED ANOTHER DODGE DEALER AND THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD OF THESE ISSUES EITHER. TOOK TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND HE IMMEDIATELY RECOGNIZED THIS AS A POTENTIAL TIPM ISSUE. THE FUEL RELAY RECALL WAS IMPLEMENTED IN SUMMER OF 2015 WHICH WAS SUPPOSED TO RESOLVE THESE ISSUE. HOWEVER, ALL OF THESE PROBLEMS CONTINUE TO INTERMITTENTLY OCCUR - WITH THE STALLING (AND NEAR ACCIDENTS) JUST OCCURRING FOR THE FIRST TIME THIS PAST WEEK. SPOKE WITH DODGE YESTERDAY EXPLAINING THE SITUATION AND BOTH DEALERS DIDN'T WANT TO SELL ME A NEW TIPM BECAUSE THEY WEREN'T SURE IT WOULD FIX THE PROBLEM AND REITERATED THAT THE FUEL RELAY RECALL WOULD FIX THESE ISSUES. WHEN I STATED THAT I AM STILL HAVING THE ISSUES THEY DIDN'T HAVE AN ANSWER BUT WERE WILLING TO TAKE MY CAR IN ON TRADE. WE CURRENTLY HAVE 93000 MILES BUT THIS STARTED SHORTLY AFTER WE PURCHASED THE DURANGO; WITH WELL UNDER 40000 MILES. CHRYSLER HAS PUBLISHED A TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN (TSB) NUMBER 17-007-14. I EXPERIENCED THE SYMPTOM OF THIS TSB AS A CLUNKING SOUND FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. IT IS CAUSED BY THE SELF LEVELING SUSPENSION (SLS) SHOCK STRUT UPPER MOUNT FAILING. THE SLS IS A COMPONENT OF THE OPTIONAL TOW PACKAGE. BEFORE I UNDERSTOOD WHAT THE ISSUE WAS, I TOWED A 23' 4,500 LBS TRAILER OVER 1,200 MILES. I EQUIPPED MY DURANGO WITH A WEIGHT DISTRIBUTION AND ANTI-SWAY HITCH ASSEMBLY RATED AT 8,000 LBS AND ENSURED BOTH THE TOW VEHICLE AND TRAILER WERE NEAR PERFECTLY LEVEL. ADDITIONALLY I WAS REQUIRED BY THE STATE OF MARYLAND TO HAVE THE TRAILER SAFETY INSPECTED WHICH CONFIRMED THE AXLES WERE PROPERLY ALIGNED, WHEEL BEARINGS WERE SERVICEABLE, AND THE ELECTRONIC BRAKE CONTROLLER WAS FUNCTIONAL AND ADJUSTED PROPERLY. DESPITE THE FACT THE TRAILER WAS WELL WITHIN THE TOW VEHICLE OPERATING LIMITS, THE TOW VEHICLE AND TRAILER EXHIBITED UNSAFE LEVELS OF DYNAMIC INSTABILITY. THIS DYNAMIC INSTABILITY MANIFESTED AS A ONE-TO-ONE LATERAL OSCILLATION OF THE TOW VEHICLE, LATERAL SWAY INSTABILITY OF THE TRAILER, AND WHAT I WOULD CHARACTERIZE AS A DANGEROUS REDUCED CONTROLLABILITY OF THE TOW VEHICLE AND TRAILER. I ASK THAT THE NHTSA EXAMINE THIS ISSUE AND THAT THIS TSB BE ELEVATED TO A MANUFACTURER FUNDED RECALL ON ALL AFFECTED VEHICLES. VEHICLE OWNERS MAY NOT RECOGNIZE THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE ISSUE OR UNDERSTAND THE EFFECTS ON TOWING STABILITY. THIS NOT ONLY PUTS THE TOW VEHICLE AT RISK, BUT ALL OTHER VEHICLES SHARING THE ROAD. ADDITIONALLY, THE HIGH COST OF MITIGATING THIS ISSUE (GREATER THAN $1,000) WILL VERY LIKELY CAUSE A LARGE NUMBER OF VEHICLE OWNERS TO DELAY THE REPAIR OR EVEN DECIDE NOT TO HAVE IT ADDRESSED AT ALL. CHRYSLER AND DODGE HAVE AN INTRINSIC RESPONSIBILITY TO ADDRESS THIS ISSUE WITH A RECALL FOR THE SAFETY OF THEIR CUSTOMERS AS WELL AS ALL DRIVERS WHO SHARE THE ROAD.

IN MY 2012 DODGE DURANGO IT WAS DETERMINED THAT THERE IS A PROBLEM WITH THE TOTAL INTEGRATED POWER MODULE WHICH IS AFFECTING THE WAY THE ENGINE STARTS AND GETS FUEL TO THE FUEL PUMP. THE REPAIR COST IS $1213.71. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF DOCUMENTED CASES REGARDING THIS ISSUE IN THE CHRYSLER LINE AND NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM. YESTERDAY HOWEVER, IT LOST POWER, I STILL HAD CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE WHILE IT WAS SHUTTING DOWN, THEN IT "POWERED" BACK UP, DURING WHICH THERE WAS ABOUT THREE SECONDS IN WHICH I HAD NO CONTROL OVER THE VEHICLE. I SIMPLY LOST ALL CONTROL.I BELIEVE THAT THE VEHICLE MAY BE EXPERIENCING PROBLEMS RELATED TO THE FUEL PUMP RELAY, POSSIBLY THE TPIM, ALTERNATOR, OR A COMBINATION OF ALL THREE. I AM TAKING VEHICLE IN MONDAY TO HAVE TWO RECALLS DONE FOR BRAKE BOOSTER, AND VANITY LIGHT WIRING ISSUE. AT THAT TIME THEY ARE GOING TO DO A DIAGNOSTIC ON IT TO SEE WHAT THE ISSUE IS. *TR

WHILE TRAVELING ON I-75, HAD THE VEHICLE ON ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL, THE VEHICLE SLAMMED THE BRAKES AND THEN ACCELERATED BACK UP TO 75MPH. NO VEHICLES IN FRONT, NOT DEBRIS, NO REASON WHY IT DID IT. VEHICLE HAS HAD CONSTANT ISSUES WITH THE FORWARD COLLISION SYSTEM ALERTING TO BRAKE WHEN NOTHING IS IN FRONT, TURNING ITSELF OFF AND ON BY ITSELF, AND THE CONSOLE GIVING THE MESSAGE THAT THE BACK SENSORS ARE BLOCKED WHEN NO DEBRIS IS PRESENT OR EVEN WHEN DRIVING. MULTIPLE OTHER "COMPUTER" ISSUES THAT THEY CAN'T FIGURE OUT, FROM LIGHTS TURNING ON/OFF, TO THE WIPERS NOT ACTIVATING WHEN THEY NEED TO AND THE OPPOSITE. DVD PLAYER ACTING FUNNY. IT HAS BEEN ENDLESS
