WHILE I WAS PULLING OUT FROM A PARKING LOT, MY CAR JUST CUT OFF. I HAVE NOT HAD THE MONEY TO EVEN TAKE IT TO SEE WHAT WAS WRONG WITH IT UNTIL RECENTLY AND WAS TOLD THAT BOTH OF MY CATALYTIC CONVERTERS WERE GOING BAD AND THAT IT WOULD COST $1100 TO GET IT FIXED. SO I CHECKED ONLINE TO SEE IT WAS ANY RECALLS ON IT AND IT WAS SEVERAL BUT WAS TOLD IT DID NOT INCLUDE MY CAR. SINCE THE FIRST TIME THAT IT CUT OFF IT HAS DONE IT AT LEAST 6 MORE TIMES. ONCE I WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STREET AND WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED BY THE CAR BEHIND ME. I DON'T UNDERSTAND HOW THE RECALLS SAY MY MAKE AND MODEL AND MILEAGE OF MY ALTIMA BUT IT DOESN'T INCLUDE MY CAR. *TR

THE CONSUMER STATED EVEN THOUGH HE HAD THE RECALL NOTICE AND THERE WAS EXPIRATION DATE, THE DEALER INFORMED HIM THE WARRANTY HAD EXPIRED. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2004 NISSAN ALTIMA. THE CONTACT WAS DRIVING 10 MPH WHEN THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LAMP ILLUMINATED AS THE VEHICLE STALLED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO DIAGNOSED THAT THE CAM SHAFT POSITION SENSOR WAS DEFECTIVE AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE REMEDY FAILED TO REPAIR THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE LOCAL MECHANIC WHO WAS UNABLE TO FURTHER DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE BUT DID NOT OFFER ANY ASSISTANCE SINCE THE VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN ANY RECALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT FURTHER REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,000 AND THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 95,000.

THE FRAME OF THE VEHICLE IS RUSTING AWAY. THERE IS A HOLE IN THE FLOOR BOARD ON PASSENGER SIDE, FROM UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE FROM RUST. YOU CAN FEEL AROUND THE FRAME OF THE CAR AND CHUNKS OF METAL FALL OFF . THIS WAS NOTICED DURING MAINTENANCE ON THE VEHICLE . CAR WAS STATIONARY , I HAD NOTICED THAT I WAS GETTING AN EXTREME AMOUNT OF DUST INSIDE THE VEHICLE.

I RECENTLY HAD MY CAR SERVICED AND WAS TOLD MY FLOOR PANEL HAD ROTTED THROUGH. THE CAR IS A 2004 BUT HAS LESS THAN 44,000 MILES, HAS BEEN SERVICED REGULARLY AND HAS BEEN GARAGED PART OF THE TIME.ARTICLES ON THE INTERNET SHOW IT IS A MASSIVE PROBLEM WITH THESE CARS DUE TO POOR DRAINAGE DESIGN. THE REPAIR IS OVER $2000. OTHERWISE THE CAR IS IN GOOD SHAPE. THIS IS JUST ONE OF 1000'S OF REPORTS TO THE NHTSA ABOUT THIS PROBLEM.

RUST STARTED AFTER 2 YEARS OF USE .VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED BRAND NEW AT THE DEALERSHIP AND RUST STARTED 24 MONTHS AFTERWARDS WITH NO ACTION TAKEN BY THE DEALERSHIP OF NISSAN. OWNER DECIDED TO REPAIR THE RUST AT THE DEALERSHIP WITH NO COMPENSATION FROM THE DEALERSHIP OF NISSAN CORPORATE HEADQUARTERS. REPAIR S ACKNOWLEDGEMENT AND RECEIPT ATTACHED. THE PASSENGER FLOORBOARD HAS RUSTED OUT LEAVING A 12" X 10" HOLE RIGHT IN THE AREA THAT YOU WOULD STEP INTO THE CAR. SINCE THIS IS THE AREA THAT IS REGULARLY INSPECTED DUE TO THE LOCATION OF THE OIL FILTER, HARD TO BELIEVE THAT THIS WASN'T DETECTED PREVIOUSLY TO JUST FALLING OUT.

FOR THE 2ND TIME CAR RUNNING VERY ROUGH AND STALLING. HAD IT SERVICED SEEMS THE SPARK PLUGS WERE DESTROYED AND NOT FUNCTIONING. PAID OVER $500 FOR MECHANIC TO PUT IN NEW PLUGS NOW IT HAPPENED AGAIN. SEEMS THERE IS A VOLUNTARY SERVICE CAMPAIGN QR25DE POWER VALVE. CAMPAIGN ID P5202. A BOLT FROM MANIFOLD IS FALLING INTO CYLINDER AND BLOWING OUT SPARK PLUG AND CAUSING INTERNAL ENGINE DAMAGE, MY MECHANIC PUT CAMERA IN CYLINDER. CAR IS RUNNING BUT IT HAS ALREADY HAPPENED TO CYLINDER 1 AND 4. NEXT TIME MY 22 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER MAY NOT BE SO LUCKY ON HER HIGHWAY COMMUTE. HOPEFULLY THE LOCAL NISSAN DEALER CAN RECTIFY PROBLEM BEFORE THE PROBLEM BECOMES MORE SERIOUS. THE VEHICLE KEPT SHOWING CODES P1148, P1278 AND P1279. TOOK IT TO NISSAN DEALER SEVERAL TIMES AND THEY CHANGED MAF SENSOR, ALL OXYGEN SENSORS, FUEL SYSTEM CLEANING BUT THE CODE KEPT SHOWING UP. THE VEHICLE FINALLY SHUT OFF ON THE PARKWAY WITHOUT WARNING AND WE WERE REAR ENDED. LUCKILY WE WERE ONLY TWO IN THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE AND HAD TO BE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL. THE FAILURE RECURRED FREQUENTLY. THE CONTACT HAD THE BATTERY REPLACED THREE TIMES AS WELL AS THE ALTERNATOR BUT TO NO AVAIL. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO DEALER HOWEVER, THE FAILURE COULD NOT BE DIAGNOSED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE AND A CLAIM WAS FILED FOR THE FAILURE. THE CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 35,500. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 27,000.

WE HAVE HAD THE SAME SENSOR RELATED COMPLAINT WITH THIS CAR MORE THAN 3 TIMES NOW. THE 1ST 2 TIMES WE TOOK TO A LOCAL GARAGE, BUT THE SAME ISSUE CAME UP A YEAR LATER. SO WE WENT TO WOODFIELD NISSAN, HOPING THAT THE DEALERSHIP, ALTHOUGH COSTS ALOT MORE, CAN DEAL WITH THE ISSUE BETTER. BUT JUST AS THE 12 MONTH WARRANTY EXPIRED, THE ISSUE PRESENTED ITSELF AGAIN, WE WENT AGAIN TO THE SAME DEALERSHIP - BUT THEY REFUSE TO HONOR THE WARRANTY , EVEN THOUGH IT WAS WITHIN THE MILEAGE (BUT PAST THE 12 MONTHS). WE HAVE NOW SPENT HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS TO TAKE CARE OF THIS CRANK/CRAM SHAFT SENSOR. THE DEALERSHIP HAS TOLD US THAT IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH OUR DRIVING OR CARE, THIS ISSUE WILL OCCUR EVERY YEAR OR SO AND WE WILL HAVE TO GET IT REPAIRED OR CAR WILL STALL. WHEN SLOWING DOWN FOR A LIGHT I NOTICED THE LIGHTS DIM IN THE REFLECTION OF THE CAR IN FRONT OF ME. I ALSO SAW A RED LIGHT ON THE DASH WHICH I HAVEN'T SEEN BEFORE NEAR THE TOP ABOVE THE GEAR INDICATOR. THEN WHEN I APPROACHED THE RAMP TO THE HIGHWAY I NOTICED THE LIGHTS DIM AGAIN AS MY RPM'S DROPPED BELOW 1000. ALL WAS FINE ON THE HIGHWAY AND I GOT OFF AT AN EXIT NEAR MY HOUSE WHEN SLOWING TO MAKE A LEFT ON MY ROAD THE CAR JUST COMPLETELY SHUT OFF WITHOUT WARNING. COMPLETELY DEAD ALL THE LIGHTS WENT OFF NO RADIO NO HEAT NOTHING! I SHIFTED IT OUT OF GEAR INTO NEUTRAL AND IT WOULDN'T EVEN TURN OVER TRIED TO TURN MY HAZARD LIGHTS ON AND THEY DID NOT WORK EITHER. I COULD NOT SHIFT IT OUT OF N/D WITH MY FOOT ON THE BRAKE. THIS WAS AN AWFUL EXPERIENCE AS I WAS ALMOST REAR ENDED AND PISSED OFF A NUMBER OF PEOPLE AS I WAS IN A DARK INTERSECTION FOR ALMOST 5 MINUTES IN A BLACK CAR. I TRIED TURNING THE KEY BACK AND FORTH AND NOTHING HAPPENED ? IT WAS ONLY ABOUT 5 MINUTES LATER THAT I COULD HEAR SOME ELECTRICAL ACTIVITY (THE KEY WAS IN THE ACCESSORY POSITION) AND THEN SOME LIGHTS ON THE DASH AND ABOUT THIRTY SECONDS LATER I COULD START THE CAR AND GO ON MY WAY. MY 04 NISSAN ALTIMA V6 ONE DAY BEGAN TO BUCK WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY. I MADE IT HOME, THEN WHEN I WENT TO START IT WOULDN'T. BASICALLY EVER SINCE THAT DAY IT'S BEEN AN ON GOING PROBLEM W/ NOT STARTING, SHUTTING OFF UNEXPECTEDLY WHILE DRIVING AND COMPLETELY LOCKING UP MAKING IT VERY DIFFICULT TO PULL OVER AND DANGEROUS. AT ONE POINT IT WOULD NOT ACCELERATE. I AM THE MOTHER OF AN INFANT SO UNTIL I FIND A RESOLUTION I NEED TO BORROW CARS TO TRAVEL WITH HIM. I HAVE REPLACED THE CAMSHAFT SENSOR AND THE THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR WHICH WERE THE CODES THAT CAME UP AND STILL I CANNOT DRIVE MY CAR. I THEN RESEARCHED MY MAKE/MODEL/YEAR AND FOUND I WAS NOT ALONE. MANY OTHERS HAVE ENCOUNTERED THE SAME ISSUES AND HAVE YET TO REACH A RESOLUTION AND APPARENTLY NISSAN IS NOT DECLARING A RECALL ON 2004'S BUT HAVE ON "02" AND "03" WHICH HAD THE SAME EXACT ISSUES. I DO NOT WANT TO CONTINUE TO BUY PARTS AND TRY TO FIX SOMETHING THAT IS DEFECTIVE AS I READ MANY OTHERS HAVE DONE. MY NISSAN IS DOING THE SAME THING WITH THE STEERING COLUMN THAT NISSAN JUST RECALLED 2002-2004 FRONTIER AND XTERRA VEHICLES OVER 600,000 VEHICLES WERE RECALLED IN THE US. (THIS RECALL DOES NOT INCLUDE MY ALTIMA) THE STEERING COLUMN SHAFT AND JOINT HAS CORROSION THIS IS CAUSING THE STEERING WHEEL TO NOT OPERATE CORRECTLY. APPARENTLY MY VEHICLE WAS MADE IN THE SAME PLACE THAT THE RECALLED VEHICLES WERE MADE. SO WHY IS MINE NOT RECALLED. I SEARCHED ONLINE NISSAN HELP AND WAS TOLD THE PARTS PRICE IS ABOUT $129.00 BUT APPARENTLY IN YORK PA IT IS $227.00 FOR THE PART AND ANOTHER $115.00 LABOR. PROBLEM VEHICLE IS 2004 NISSAN ALTIMA WITH 50,000 MILES. NOTICED WHEN DRIVING THAT STEERING WHEEL WAS BINDING WHEN I TRIED TO TURN THE VEHICLE. SEEMS LIKE POWER STEERING IS GOING OUT. HAD EVERYTHING CHECKED WITH FLUID AND POWER STEERING PUMP. NOT THAT SO DURING THE COURSE OF THE DRIVE THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD BIND BOTH DURING TURNING AND WHEN RETURNING THE WHEEL TO STRAIGHT. THE BINDING (REQUIRING BOTH HANDS) TO TURN THE STEERING WHEEL AND ALSO REQUIRED EXTRA EFFORT TO RETURN THE WHEELS TO STRAIGHT BECAUSE THE BINDING PREVENTED THE WHEELS FROM RETURNING TO STRAIGHT . THE BINDING IS BAD ENOUGH THAT IT COULD CAUSE AN ACCIDENT I AM SCARED TO DRIVE IT. BECAUSE OF THE EFFORT REQUIRED TO TURN THE WHEEL AND THE DIFFICULTY IN STRAIGHTENING THE WHEELS. THE POWER STEERING LAST WEEK HAS STARTED TO TIGHTEN UP IN PLACES. WHILE TURNING THE WHEEL, THERE IS A HARD SPOT THAT THE WHEEL SEEMS TO GET "STUCK" OR "CATCH" AT. I TOOK IT INTO A MECHANIC AND HE INFORMED ME THAT THE STEERING RACK WOULD MOST LIKELY NEED TO BE REPLACED. I DID MORE RESEARCH ABOUT THIS PROBLEM AND IT SEEMS TO BE A COMMON ISSUE IN NISSAN ALTIMA VEHICLES. THE MANUFACTURED WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 131,000.

THE TECHNICIAN STATED THE FAILURE WAS RELATED TO THE TRANSMISSION AND RECOMMENDED THE VEHICLE BE DIAGNOSED BY AN AUTHORIZED DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO THE DEALER WHO PERFORMED A TRANSMISSION FLUSH. THE FAILURE CONTINUED AND THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE DEALER FOR A SECOND TIME, WHERE THEY STATED THE TRANSMISSION WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE DEFECT. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 90,000.

2004 NISSAN ALTIMA 5 SPD MANUAL CLUTCH. LAST WEDNESDAY I WAS DRIVING MY CAR AND NOTICED THE CLUTCH WAS GETTING LOWER AND LOWER TO THE FLOOR. I MADE IT TO MY DESTINATION BUT WHEN I RETURNED TO MY CAR TO LEAVE, I PRESSED ON THE CLUTCH AND IT JUST STAY DOWN ON THE FLOOR. AFTER THE CAR COOL IT SEEMED TO WORK PROPERLY THE NEXT DAY BUT NOW IT IS HARD TO GO INTO 1ST GEAR AND THERE IS A GRINDING NOISE TO GO INTO 2ND ALL OTHER GEARS SEEM OKAY. CURRENTLY I HAVE ONLY SEARCHED ONLINE TO SEE IF ANYONE ELSE WAS HAVING THIS PROBLEM AND THERE APPEARS TO BE MANY. I WAS IN AN ACCIDENT ON OCTOBER 20, 2014 AND MY INSURANCE CONSIDERED CAR AS " TOTAL LOSS" AFTER APPRAISAL BUT AIR BAG DID NOT OPEN EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SEVERE DAMAGE AS I REAR ENDED CAR IN FRONT. I DID SUFFER MUSCLE ACHE FOR COUPLE OF DAYS BUT NO MEDICAL ATTENTION WAS NEEDED EVEN MY PRESCRIPTION GLASSES FOR DISTANCE BROKE WITH IMPACT PRIOR TO THIS EVENT. FOR THE PAST FOUR YEARS I WAS TAKING MY CAR TO NISSAN DEALERSHIP FOR " SENSOR" ISSUES EVEN THOUGH THERE WAS NO MECHANICAL PROBLEM WITH CAR AND I HAD TO BEAR THE EXPENSES EVERY TIME THE SENSOR LIGHT CAME ON. NISSAN DEALER REPLACED REAR 02 SENSOR AND DIAGNOSES AND REPROGRAMMED ENGINE CONTROL MODULE. ON 11/20/06 (LESS THAN THREE WEEKS LATER) THE "ENGINE SERVICE SOON LIGHT" CAME ON AGAIN. PRIOR TO TAKING THE CAR THERE WERE NO RUNNING PROBLEMS. NISSAN DEALER CHECKED VEHICLE AND CALLED ME AND SAID THAT THEY NEED TO RUN ANOTHER DIAGNOSTIC TEST FOR ANOTHER FEE. WHEN I WENT TO THE DEALERSHIP THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING UP AN DOWN AND WOULD ACCELERATE ON ITS OWN WITHOUT TOUCHING THE ACCELERATOR. The crankshaft position sensor (cps) was not responsive when the repair shop was testing the vehicle because of the "service engine soon" light came on. After a short search online they 1.) Had no signal to the cps from the pcm 2.) That there was also a voluntary recall by nissan for this issue covering this make an model. I called nissan and told me that the recall wasn't for that car but the vehicle was in fact built in the years covered and also had the exact issues the recall covered

I RENTED VEHICLE FOR THE WEEKEND AND USED IT FOR 1 DAY. I DROVE IT DOWN STATE TO CHAMPAIGN 250 MILES AND MADE A STOP. WHEN I GOT BACK IN THE CAR AND STARTED IT UP, IT HESITATED TO CHANGE GEARS BUT DID, SO I TURNED AND DROVE THE CAR HOME TO CHICAGO. THE WEATHER TEMPERATURE WAS VERY FRIDGET OUTSIDE . WHILE DRIVING MY 2004 2.5 LITRE NISSAN ALTIMA ON HIGHWAY ABOUT 60 MPH I FELT AN ABRUPT JERK LIKE NOISE IN THE TRANSMISSION, ALMOST EVEN LIKE A MISFIRE OF SOME SORT. ALL I KNOW IS THAT IT WAS ODD AND DID NOT SEEM RIGHT. IMMEDIATELY FOLLOWING, MY "SERVICE ENGINE SOON" LIGHT ILLUMINATED AND HAS STAYED ON. REAR SUSPENSION BUSHINGS & TAKATA RECALL THE CAR SLIPS IN THE REAR WHEELS SIMILAR TO "FISH-TAILING" IN SNOW. NISSAN OFFERED A RECALL IN 2006 TO REPLACE PARTS ON REAR SUSPENSION SYSTEM WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME UNTIL 2015, MONTHS BEFORE THE RECALL EXPIRED. NOTICES NEVER CONTAINED ANY NOTIFICATION OF ANY EXPIRATION DATE. AFTER HOURS OF CUSTOMER SERVICE CLAIMED THERE WAS NEVER A RECALL; THEN YES THERE WAS A RECALL THAT I HAD REPLACED IN 2007; THEN CLAIMING THE WORK WAS COMPLETED IN 2014, THEY FINALLY AGREED TO HAVING THE CAR INSPECTED REGARDING THIS RECALL. THE DEALERSHIP AT WOODFIELD NISSAN CLAIMED THAT MY CAR WAS "UNSAFE TO DRIVE" AND LISTED EVERY OTHER PART OF MY SUSPENSION THAT NEEDED TO BE REPLACED OTHER THAN THE MAIN ONE IN THE RECALL. A SERVICE ORDER WAS CREATED THAT THE DEALERSHIP REFUSED TO GIVE ME WHEN THE SERVICE MANAGER LOST HIS TEMPER AND GOT PHYSICALLY INTIMIDATING TOWARDS ME. MY WIFE AND I ARE FRIGHTENED TO EVER GO TO THIS DEALERSHIP DUE TO THIS. NOW I AM DRIVING AN "UNSAFE TO DRIVE" VEHICLE THAT NISSAN LEFT ME WITHOUT ANY PAPERWORK TO ADVISE ME WHAT IS UNSAFE ABOUT IT. AFTER ASKING NISSAN CORPORATION TO STEP IN, AS WELL AS BBB & IL A.G. REPORTS WERE FILED, NO ONE TO DATE HAS GIVEN ME DOCUMENTATION REGARDING THIS INSPECTION. THIS DEALERSHIP'S OWNER ALSO OWNS THE OTHER DEALERSHIP NEAR ME AND MY WIFE WHERE WE ARE NO LONGER WELCOMED. DURING AN ANNUAL INSPECTION, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER FLOOR PANS ARE RUSTING THRU. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A GARAGE KEPT CAR WITH LOW MILES FOR IT'S AGE. THERE IS NO OTHER RUST ON THE UNDERCARRIAGE OF THE CAR EXCEPT IN THESE AREAS. THE INSPECTOR NOTED THAT THIS IS NOT NORMAL FOR A CAR OF THIS AGE AND MILEAGE. AFTER RESEARCH ON THE ODI SITE, I'VE FOUND NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS FOR THE EXACT SAME ISSUE. THIS IS A SERIOUS SAFETY AND STRUCTURAL ISSUE THAT IS KNOWN BY NISSAN FOR YEARS, BUT THEY REFUSE TO ACT UPON IT. THE VEHICLE CAN NOW BE CONSIDERED UNSAFE TO DRIVE BY FAULT OF DESIGN OF THE MANUFACTURE. I WAS DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE GOING 60-65 MPH, WITH MY GIRLFRIEND AND MY NEWBORN DAUGHTER. THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON, THE CAR SHUT OFF AND THE ENGINE STALLED WITH A RIVER OF TRAFFIC SURROUNDING AROUND ME. AFTER ABOUT 10 MINUTES THE CAR FINALLY STARTED BACK UP & RAN FINE. A FEW DAYS LATER THE CAR BECAME HARDER TO START AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF ON THE INTERSTATE ONCE AGAIN. I GOT THE ENGINE CODE, CHECKED OUT AND IT WAS P0340 (CAM SHAFT POSITION SENSOR). UPON FURTHER RESEARCH I NOTICED THAT THIS IS A VERY COMMON NATIONWIDE PROBLEM. NOT ONLY DOES THE ENGINE STALL WHILE DRIVING, IT COMPLETELY CAUSES THE MOTOR TO SHUT OFF! THE MOTOR IN A VEHICLE SHUTTING OFF WHILE GOING DOWN A JAMMED INTERSTATE OR GOING ACROSS RAILROAD TRACKS IS EXTREMELY UNSAFE AND IT IS UNACCEPTABLE TO NOT GET RECOGNIZED. AFTER EXPERIENCING THIS HORRIBLE SITUATION, AND VIEWING THE COUNTLESS PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED IT AS WELL. I AM FLABBERGASTED THE CAM/CRANKSHAFT SENSOR FOR THE 2002-2005 ALTIMA HAS YET TO BE RECALLED. THE CHANCE OF THE PART BEING DEFICIENT IS ABNORMALLY HIGH. CAME ON AND THE DEALERSHIP REPAIRED THE LIGHT AND TOLD CONSUMER THAT IT WAS CAUSED BY A DEFECTIVE COMPUTER CHIP, THE NEXT DAY THE SERVICE ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AGAIN, AND THE MOTOR STARTED SHAKING. DEALER FOUND THAT THERE WAS A SCREW LOOSE. THEY FOUND THE SCREW MISSING IN THE POWER VALVE. THEY HAD TO THE REMOVE THE EXHAUT MANAFOLD TO GET THE SCREW OUT, THE DEALER HAD TO REPLACE THE MANAFOLD INTAKE/GASKET THROTTL/ A SPARK PLUG/BEARING SEAL/THE GASKET EXHAUT/GASKET ADAPTER, AND THE GASKET MANAFOLD. TWO DAYS LATER CONSUMER FOUND THAT THE VEHCILE STILL SHAKING WHEN DRIVING OVER 40 MPH . CONSUMER FOUND THAT WHEN TEST DRIVING VEHICLE IT WOULD NOT GO OVER 80 MPH. PROBLEM STARTED ON JUNE 1, 2005. *AK

AIR CONDITIONER COMPRESSOR DOES NOT DISENGAGE WHEN THE MANUAL SELECTOR SWITCH IS MOVED FROM THE DEFROST POSITION. THE ONLY WAY TO DISENGAGE THE COMPRESSOR AFTER USING THE DEFROSTER IS TO STOP THE CAR, TURNED OFF THE FAN , MOVE THE SELECTOR SWITCH TO ANY FUNCTION THAT IS NOT DEFROSTER RELATED, TURN OFF THE IGNITION AND RESTART THE CAR. THIS WAS DISCOVERED BY MY WIFE AND I ON OUR WAY BACK FROM FLORIDA LAST MARCH. I COULD NOT GET FRESH AIR ONLY. UPON MY RETURN TO MAINE THE DEALER CHECKED OUT MY COMPLAINT AND DISCOVERED THAT THE OWNERS MANUAL COVERED THIS SOMEWHAT. A PREVIOUS SAME COMPLAINT STATED THAT THIS IS COVERED BY A SERVICE BULLETIN NTB03-048 DATED 5-6-03 FROM NISSAN CONCERNING THIS PROBLEM. THIS IS NOTED AS A CHANGE IN OPERATION FROM EARLIER MODELS. THIS A/C ON OFF IS DIFFERENT THAN PREVIOULY YEARS OF NISSAN"S OF WHICH I HAVE OWNED MANY. I BELIEVE NISSAN SHOULD FIX THIS PROBLEM.*AK

WHEN DRIVING 35 MPH, THE RIGHT FRONT TIRE FELL OFF THE VEHICLE. THIS CAUSED THE DRIVER TO LOSE CONTROL OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONSUMER STATED THAT THE VEHICLE SPUN AROUND TWICE BEFORE STOPPING. NEXT MORNING CAR CRANKED IN 29 DEGREE WEATHER AND NOW IS SMOKING (BLACK SMOKE). RETURNED CAR TO SERVICE DEPARTMENT ON 1-31-04 ALONG WITH A CLOTH CONTAINING THE RESIDUE FROM THE TAIL PIPES. *JB
