2018 Nissan 370Z recalls 1

Air Bags:side/window18V153000

What's wrong. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2018 Nissan 370Z vehicles. The driver's side curtain air bag may have been installed incorrectly during production, possibly affecting its deployment. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 214, "Side Impact Protection," and 226, "Ejection Mitigation."

Risk. The incorrect curtain air bag installation can prevent the air bag from deploying correctly in the event of a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Fix. Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the curtain air bag, correcting its installation as necessary, free of charge. The recall began May 1, 2018. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1-800-867-7669.

2011 Nissan 370Z recalls 1

Visibility:power Window Devices And Controls11V538000

What's wrong. Nissan is recalling certain model year 2011 and 2012 infiniti g37 coupe vehicles and certain model year 2011 nissan 370z vehicles manufactured from july 2, 2011, through august 29, 2011. Due to a programming error, the power window switch controller in the subject vehicles was manufactured out of specification.

Risk. The threshold for auto reverse activation is higher than the nissan specification. Should a body part become trapped by a closing window, a pinch injury may result.

Fix. Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will replace the power window switches with new ones free of charge. The safety recall began on december 5, 2011. Owners may contact nissan at 1800-647-7261 or infiniti at 1-800-662-6200.

Steering lock module failure. Same issue as in 2016 (NHTSA tracking number 10929922). Car would not start. In city park and waited 4 hours for tow truck. By myself - 74 year old female. Getting dark and dealership closed. Had the exact part malfunction in 2016 and had to have it towed. Cost $1000 to fix back then. Nissan has had issues with this but has refused to recall it except for one model. This repair cost me $1400. Not just the money or inconvenience - it's dangerous. There is no way to start this car - it has to be towed!

Tl* the consumer owns a 2011 nissan 370z. The consumer stated that while attempting the start the vehicle, the engine would not turn on. The vehicle was towed to the local dealer coggins nissan(10600 atlantic blvd, jacksonville fl) who diagnosed that the steering lock was faulty and needed to be replaced. The steering lock was replaced and the failure was remedied. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 36,700. *dt *as

For years, there have been widespread defects in the electronic steering column lock (escl) that disabled the push-button ignition in a wide range of nissan and infiniti vehicles. The escl's primary job is to keep the steering wheel locked until you bring your key fob in range of the vehicle. It's meant to prevent theft. However, when the escl malfunctions (even with the fob present and working) the escl won't detect it and, therefore, won't release the wheel. When you press the start/stop button to start the car, nothing happens. However, the "intelligent key warning light" symbol comes on, indicating you have a problem. Nissan has been aware of this issue fo years and has issued a voluntary service campaign for various models. However, they have not done so for the 370z, even though this model is experiencing the exact problem as the models included in the voluntary service campaign. This malfunction has nothing to do with general "wear & tear". This malfunction is due to a defective part and poor engineering. I am asking nhtsa to encourage nissan to conduct a voluntary or mandatory recall to address and correct this issue at no cost to vehicle owners.

When my car had 22,000 miles it wouldn't start because my steering wheel locked up. I was home when this happened. Had to tow it to nissan dealership. It just happened to me again at 55,000 miles. I was about to leave work. Had to tow it back again. Not fair to pay 1,200!!

2011 370Z

The car would not start. I was stranded and had to have it towed to the dealership. They had to replace the steering lock unit stating that it was "bad". The same thing is noted on a recall issued for 2009 and 2010 nissan 370 z, but no recall for the 2011 even though t is the same part.

2011 370Z

Parked car in morning. Car would not start at night. Yellow indicator on dash. Problem was known issue with the steering lock anti-theft device. Prior model years recalled, only 2011 was not covered under recall. Car had to be towed. Over $1200 repair at dealership. Part was $775.

2011 370Z

I was left stranded in a parking lot after my security steering lock mechanism locked the car and would not allow it to turn on or even to acc mode. Since the car locked up, i have two lights on my dash that will not turn off. I was stranded for hours and could not get an available tow truck to pick my car up. After several hours, i was able to get a family member to drive a long ways to come get me. My car is still in the parking lot and waiting to get a tow truck to pick it up! Only issue with the tow, my car won't even allow the shifter to move into neutral! The tow company said they can't promise the car can even be towed if they can't safely steer it onto the flat bad truck!

2011 370Z

Steering lock failure from what i understand nissan recalled this part for model years 2009-2010 however i have a 2011 model and it has failed at just under 28k miles. I cant start my car, the steering lock acts as a security feature (anti theft) and it has failed on my car and numerous other vehicles. I simply parked my car and when i returned i was unable to start it. I had to have it towed to a nissan dealership which has quoted me 1060.00 to replace that part with what i'm afraid is just going to fail again. How i'm not protected under the pervious recall or any other warranty is beyond me. What can i do to protect myself. Why was i sold a car with a part they know is bad. Prior to purchasing my vehicle i was under the impression i was buying a model year that did not suffer these symptoms (notably because i researched this issue prior). Please advise. Thanks, dane

I purchased my 370 z at the local dealership and i am a loyal nissan customer. This is my second z and my family of 9 cars is a large base for your vehicles. My daughter-in-law purchased a new nissan and we will be shopping for my wife's new car in june when she retires. My air bag warning light has been flashing for a week so i brought it to the local dealer today. My vehicle has 38,000 miles. I was told that something under the passenger seat has to be replaced to correct the problem. The cost: over $3000. I can't afford to pay this. I asked the tech if the air bags were functioning and he answered no so my wife and i have no airbag protection. I ask if this falls under the airbag problems that have been in the news for years? Is my wife and i in danger? Please review the airbag issue and direct me to my next option. I fear a liability issue. Thank you

Steering wheel lock sensor broke, failed in lock position, happens to most every nissan fob key system at 1 time or another. The dealer charged me $1100.00 to fix and it took them less than 2 hours. This is a scam by nissan and the internet is full of people compalining about this issue. It left me stranded and i had to be towed. Please make nissan start a recall for this problem. When the steering lock fails it will not allow the car to start.

Had to go get emergency cough medication for spouse at 2:30am. After leaving walgreen, was unable to start my car. The key fob has enough battery power but the engine ignition stayed on "lock" and could not detect key fob. After trying to an hour to "google" and "youtube" and tried everything i could find to fix the issue but with no luck. Had to contact spouse to pick me up at 3:00am. Towed to a mechanic because after contacting 3 different nissan dealers and calling the nissan consumer affairs, learned that there was no recall on this case. However, been reading plenty of forum on the same thing for other nissan 370zs on this very same incident. The mechanic diagnosed the steering module was malfunctioning and replaced the unit after $1,431.46. + $28 towing fee. I was fortunate that i was in a safe neighborhood although it was in the middle of the night. But i feel that this steering lock malfunction is too common to nissan dealers and their consumer affairs to not look in to. Mileage on vehicle is 33,387.

2011 370Z

Steering lock control module - vehicle started in the morning and was fine driving to work, after i got off my vehicle was unable to start and did not recognize my key. Towed it to nissan and was informed my steering lock control module failed. There is a recall for this issue but my vehicle does not fall under it. Nissan needs to have some type of extension for this issue. This is a safety concern. Mileage is at 33,548.

Takata recall. I first occurred a problem with the z on my wedding day. My clutch dropped to the floor and we couldn't get the car in gear. We were put in the middle of the mountains with no way to call a tow truck so we did our best to make it to the closest nissan dealer. On the way we came to a four way red light and couldn't shift to a low enough gear to get to car to slow down, a semi was traveling about 60 mph right at us, we swerved into the emergency on and the truck to barely missed us. After that my husband found out from a mechanic that he should bleed the clutch so he did and the clutch was normal again. Besides that the car has had only one other occurrence with the clutch. I am petrified to drive my car after that situation but i have no choice considering i spend most of my paycheck just to pay for the one thing that will probably send me to my grave. This is a very serious problem and should be fixed! Now to mention this morning... I woke up to go to work and went to start my car when my car wouldn't start due to a steering lock malfunction and will probably end up having to take it to a dealership if my research doesn't work out as planned. The brake light comes on when i push the clutch... The traction control light comes on and stays on for long periods. This car is going to hurt someone bad! Worried about the people drinking and driving? You should be worried about the people driving a nissan 370z !!!! So frustrated!

2017 370Z

The seal on the Clutch Slave Cylinder failed and contaminated the hydraulic system in the car. This prevented the car from being able to enter gear as the clutch could not be disengaged. This resulted in me being stuck in the middle of the road, unable to move the car unless I turned the car off, stuck it in gear, then started it up and gunned the engine at the same time. My car is a 2017, with only 31,000 miles on it. The dealership would not cover it under the power train warranty despite the fact that the CSC is located within the transmission casing and is an intrinsic part of the power train. Hydraulic cylinders are not a wear item. This should not happen at 31,000 miles. Nissan was no help and only recommendation was Service Bulletin SB-10051926-2342, which recommends swapping the clutch fluid for a higher temperature fluid. This only solved the problem for about a week before the Concentric Slave Cylinder failed completely. There is currently a lawsuit, Nguyen vs. Nissan North America, going through federal courts that in the process of discovery revealed through internal emails Nissan is aware that this failure is a result of a design flaw which makes it particularly susceptible to the kind of high temperatures developed inside the transmission. Please force Nissan to recall these parts. Its not right to have to pay 2000 dollars every other year to replace hydraulic cylinders in lightly used cars.

2016 370Z

As i began to start my vehicle one day, the clutch pedal went straight to the ground because it had no pressure on it. I found that the clutch fluid was completely empty and refilled it. After it rebuilt pressure, it was operable again for several months until it completely lost pressure again while driving, so i had to pull over. The transmission fluid had completely emptied again. After lots of research online, i found that there is a plaguing problem with the clutch slave cylinder. (i am mechanically inclined and capable of auto repairs). I ordered the clutch slave cylinder online and replaced it myself for a permanent fix with an oem clutch slave cylinder. There's no telling how long this one will last because nissan makes these parts out of a very cheap plastic that is subject to fail at any time. The clutch slave cylinder cost me $188 plus the costs of renting a garage bay, payment for a friend's assistance, and other miscellaneous items, as well as time off of work. The safety matter behind this greatly concerns me as i purchased my 370z brand new in october 2015 and take great care of it. The vehicle had 39k miles at the time of the clutch slave cylinder failure. How is it that nissan can continue to make such a cheap, high-failure part that greatly endangers safety and not upgrade the part and fix the hundreds or thousands that have failed? The problems associated with the clutch slave cylinder can be found all over the internet and after-market companies have taken it into their own hands to produce their own clutch slave cylinder and master cylinder to alleviate the issues caused by nissan. The vehicle was stationary when the first problem occurred, and in motion during the second failure. The average mechanic's quoted rate to fix this issue ranged from $1000 to $1375.

2015 370Z

Tl* the contact owns a 2015 nissan 370z. The contact stated that the clutch pedal was stuck to the floor of the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to a local dealer and the gti fluid was replaced. The failure recurred two months later. The vehicle was taken to the dealer again for diagnostic testing. The contact was unable to switch gears with the clutch. The manufacturer was notified. The manufacturer advised the contact to get a second opinion. The failure mileage was 32,000. Updated 01/11/2017*ct updated 7/5/18*jb

2014 370Z

While driving my 2014 Nissan 370Z with only around 43,000 miles, the car suddenly made a loud bang in the rear area and then would not shift normally in automatic mode while I was on the highway with my child in the car. When I inspected the underside afterward, there were no fluids leaking and I had not hit anything that could have caused the noise or malfunction of the output sensor. Shortly after, the vehicle went into limp mode and would not shift past 2nd or possibly 3rd gear. Manual mode also stopped working. This limited the car to around 25 mph, creating a dangerous situation in traffic since it could not accelerate normally. The check engine light came on, and a scan revealed a P0720 Speed Sensor Circuit failure. The dealer advised replacing the valve body assembly at a cost of nearly $5,000. A transmission electronics failure of this kind at such low mileage is not normal wear and tear. Research shows that other Nissan and Infiniti owners with the same 7-speed automatic transmission have experienced the same problem. This appears to be a recurring defect that presents a serious safety risk when the vehicle suddenly loses acceleration ability.

2014 370Z

My clutch would not come off the floorboard. I could not shift into any gear. This happen 3 different times after i would make long freeway trips without shifting. I had 3 different, well established mechanics look at my and do a diagnostic test. As i waited for a tow truck. I found a lawsuit against nissan for a faulty (concentric) clutch slave cylinder! On 2 of the occasions i would let my car cool down for an hour or so and it would be fine. On this occasion, i let my sit over night. The next day my clutch was still on the floor. I fulled the clutch off the floor with my foot. I turned the car on. The car lunged forward almost going into the hotel building. I pulled the e-break and turned the car off. The car was towed to the nissan dealership in renton wa. I had to explain to the dealer about the lawsuit on the clutch slave cylinder. He had not heard of it. I contacted me later and agreed it was the clutch slave cylinder. I was exiting the freeway 2 times and was not able to shift past 2nd gear the two times before. This last time i was coming off the freeway and had to coast into the nearest drive. I was caught off guard , i rolled through one four way stop with my hazard lights on. So not to get stuck in middle of the road. *tr

2014 370Z

Summary: the vehicle concentric slave cylinder (csc), a component of the transmission and clutch, failed abruptly in heavy traffic, leaving the vehicle forced in-gear and unable to shift out of gears or to neutral without damaging the transmission. This is a significant safety risk since it happens abruptly and removes control of the vehicle from the driver; due to the nature of the failure, this can also create a panic-situation similar to brake, steering, or throttle failures since the clutch is an essential part of controlling a manual transmission vehicle in all scenarios. Event: while driving in traffic, shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear (at approximately 30 mph) the clutch pedal would not return once the vehicle was in 3rd gear. I had to stall the vehicle intentionally, thus at high speed (approximately 10+mph) and in traffic, the tires of the vehicle locked-up and the car skidded to a stop. This also imparted drivetrain and engine shock due to the large mechanical forces involved. Concerns: in almost all typical driving scenarios, this failure can be deadly. If this happens on a two-lane highway this can lead to head-on collisions. If it happens on a freeway that sees an abrupt stop, this can lead to a multi-car collision. If this happens on a road with bends or turns this can result in loss of control such that the vehicle may be off-road or over guardrails. Why nhsta involvement is critical: this is a significant safety concern and a common failure mode of cars with this same nissan transmission, and it is caused by negligent design and manufacturing practices by nissan. Failed class-action lawsuits put together by small teams of people have not resulted in removing this safety concern from those who haven't seen the failure yet. My vehicle is a well maintained 2014 nissan 370z with less than 20,000 miles on it, for reference.

2014 370Z

After driving my 2014 nissan 370z for 40,000 miles, the clutch stuck to the floor. I was at an intersection and finally able to pull the clutch pedal up with my foot. At the next intersection, again the clutch stayed down and again i was able to pull it up to shift gears. Upon the third shifting of gears, the clutch stayed on the floor and even lifting it with my foot, i was not able to get it into any gear. Had i been in the middle of a highway shifting gears i might not have been able to get to the side of the road therefore i would have definitely been in a hazardous situation for both myself and other drivers.

Tl* the contact owns a 2014 nissan 370z. While driving 20 mph, the check engine indicator illuminated and the vehicle stalled. The contact turned off and restarted the vehicle; however, when the accelerator pedal was depressed, the vehicle failed to accelerate over 5 mph. The dealer (nissan of burlingame, 101 california drive, burlingame ca 94010) diagnosed that the engine harness needed replacement. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 55,000.

2014 370Z

My csc - clutch slave cylinder gave up on me putting my clutch petal to the floor unable to change any gears. I was stranded on the road for hours. Nissan must fix this issue with 370z with manual transmission the csc is made of plastic and should (must) be replaced with one made my metal. Many hundreds of 370z enthusiast have this issue.

Bought a brand new 2014 nissan 370z back on may 9th 2014. Amazing car with one really bad weak link, csc. My csc (clutch slave cylinder) went out at 23,309 miles. Luckily i was parked right outside my house. My clutch peddle sank to the floor and would not engage. Had to tow the vehicle to my dealership to have them determine it "would not be covered under warranty" due to "misuse of the vehicle" from a "burnt" flywheel. I did some research and hundreds of 370z's with manual transmissions have had the same issue with their csc. There are pages and pages of discussions on forums about this plastic csc. We believe there should be a recall on this and should be covered under warranty since hundreds of consumers have had the same issue and nissan does not want to cover it under the powertrain warranty when in fact is a power train issue on their part.great car, bad csc, bad customer support by nissans consumer affairs. *tr

Last saturday, took the cover off and was going to the car wash to shine her up real good. On the way after stopping at a light i pulled off then went to 2nd gear, then to third and that when it happened. The clutch went to the floor and did not come back up. I'm going down the street not knowing what to do next because there is a stop sign but i'm afraid to stop because i don't know what will happen, a very dangerous situation. Fortunately there were no other cars at the stop sign so i turned on my emergency flashers and continued through, i'm sure the people behind me thought i was crazy and i'm very happy there were no police around. I made a left on the emptiest street i could find and pulled over and called my son to pick me up and help me push the car out of the street. Now mind you i never raced or drove the car hard at all and within the 10 or so months i've owed it only put 5000 miles on it. It's hard for me to believe that nissan would put such a dangerous car, let alone a sports car on the road, i just kept thinking what if i was on the highway, and i could have been killed! I had to have the car towed to nissan of mckinney were they add insult to injury telling me my z with only 18000 miles on it was out of warranty and it would cost me over $1000 to repair. Of course i did some research on www.the370z.com and other websites, found out this is a common issue with the manual transmission which aftermarket parts can fix but nissan refuses to, are you guys waiting on someone to be killed before you take action, this is a very serious issue and customers should be made aware and certainly shouldn't have to pay over $1000 to repair it with only 18000 miles!

I was driving home from work and my clutch peddle slowly kept getting going down and not coming up. Then i was a couple of blocks away from my house and it was completely stuck and i could not drive my car.

Hi it is a 370z clutch pressure (csc) failures. People are complaining all over the place talking about how this is leaving people stranded especially on new vehicles. There's a post here about a brand new 2016 370z had a csc failure and had to be towed into the nearest dealership to get it fixed. Https://www.reddit.com/r/370z/comments/3cfv0s/bad_slave_clutch_cylinder_on_2016_370z/ there is also 70 pages full of the problem here. Http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-general-discussions/25007-sticky-official-370z-clutch-pressure-csc-failures.html it needs to be acknowledge, recall, and then a fix. This was an issue in 350z and now they decided to do the same with the newer models. I am buying a 2012 370z soon (signing papers today) with only 12k miles on it. If this were to happen to me, i would be very sad and depressed especially knowing that nissan knows this and is doing nothing about it to save some money.

2011 370Z

2011 370Z

Steering wheel lock sensor broke, failed in lock position, happens to most every nissan fob key system at 1 time or another. The dealer charged me $1100.00 to fix and it took them less than 2 hours. This is a scam by nissan and the internet is full of people compalining about this issue. It left me stranded and i had to be towed. Please make nissan start a recall for this problem. When the steering lock fails it will not allow the car to start.

2011 370Z

First incident happened at around 37,000 miles, the car would not start and the push button lights up the lock light but seconds later started working. On june 3rd 2015, after driving to my job to pick up tools to head to the airport i park the car, came back to a car that would not start, the car recognizes the key but locks me out from starting the car. The car had random won't start, i brought this up to the nissan dealers about ongoing issues with other owners of the same car. Now my car does not start and i am hearing that this is a going issue with the steering wheel lock/intelligent key. I am unable to move the car and will have to tow it to the dealer that denied issues with the inelligent key system locking owners from starting their cars. I want to bring this up so that way we speak out since there are so many people having issues but not enough post it so that a recall can be made for nissan to fix this for owners affected.

2011 370Z

Yesterday afternoon, after leaving work to my car within the parking lot, my vehicle did not start. I assumed it was due to a low battery within the intelligent key for the push to start ignition, so i replaced the battery at a local wal-mart. Upon returning to the car, i had the same problem. The key was able to lock and unlock the doors to the car, however when i pushed in the clutch and brake per usual followed by the start button, nothing took place. The indicator remained on the 'lock' position and failed to move over to the 'on' position to start the car. No sounds took place at all as if it was even trying to start. As a result, i left the car overnight and had it towed to the local dealership. They informed me a few hours later that my steering lock unit had 'failed'. I mentioned that i had seen this problem reported on numerous car blogs (nhtsa #10051829), however they mentioned since i was beyond my extended warranty, that i would have to pay roughly $1,250.00 for the part and labor. It is currently being serviced, however i wanted this incident logged as i have seen a number of 370z owners recommend this route. Extremely disappointed with nissan's coverage and handling of this situation. *tr

2015 370Z

On 9/4/2023, both airbags in my daughter’s 2015 Nissan 370-Z violently exploded open erroneously at a stop-sign, when my daughter had, unknowingly, slowly rolled into the protruding hitch of the truck in front of her; the imperceptible impact of which my (driver) daughter and (passenger) son didn’t feel, nor even known had happened (until after they escaped the traumatizing horror). None of the nearby witnesses could noticed the car bump either. From each of the witnesses’ perspectives, they heard a loud explosion come from the 2nd car stopped at a stop sign. Everyone in the vicinity…and patrons & workers who’d run out of the corner store… watched in horror, as “smoke” filled the vehicle immediately. As people began rushing toward the car, my 13 y.o. son DOVE out of the passenger door & rolled several feet…hands clasped to his ears, violently screaming . A gentleman ran toward my daughter’s door, fully prepared to pull her from (what was believed to be) the burning car. Although she was hysterically crying & burned from the chin to the stomach, she was otherwise able to be helped out of the car & walk with assistance to her brother…who had lost all hearing in both ears (for over 15 minutes). It was then that the driver of the truck informed my daughter & helpers of her bump into his hitch. Aside from a small dent in my daughter’s front bumper, there were no other signs of damage from the impact. There WAS, however, a shattered windshield from the passenger airbag. My daughter & son reported that, as the airbags exploded unexpectedly, they were pelted with thousands of stinging particles as the car filled with smoke & smelled like it was on fire. My son dove out of the car as my daughter screamed, “The car is on fire!” Due to bad actor, Dakota McGregor from Nissan, her lies about any known issues or recalls w/the vehicle’s airbags, & her refusal to file a report bc my “kids didn’t die”, we took the $15K hit to repair & Dakota interfered w/the repair co.

I am the original owner of the nissan 370z 2017 year, bought it new directly from nissan dealer. I just had a major accident on the freeway with a big transportation truck (not a consumer pick up truck). I was in collision with it at least 2 times, on the driver side initially and then the front after spinning few rounds in middle of busy freeway. Thankfully, i am alive but looking through the picture of my damaged car after getting out from er, it just didn't make sense to me why airbag didn't deploy. I wanted to see if other owners of the car had any similar issue. To be little more specific of the occurrence, i was driving about 60 miles on the freeway until the truck tried to merge into my lane, hitting my driver side and my car spun and ended up in front of trucks front and it hit me again on the side, and spun again and ended on in middle of a freeway, in 8:00am morning time...*bf*jb

Tl* the contact was a passenger in a 2010 nissan 370z. While driving approximately 70 mph, another vehicle struck the rear passenger side of the vehicle. As a result, the vehicle that the passenger was in spun around. When the vehicle stopped, the passenger side air bag deployed. The passenger was bleeding from the right eye and was transported via ambulance to the hospital. The contact had to spend five days in the hospital. A police report was filed. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer for diagnostic testing. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The body damage was repaired. The failure mileage was not available.

2009 370Z

I have two issues, first my passenger seat air bag indicator light is occassionally turned off even though the seat is occupied. I am told by the dealership to have the passenger move around to have the seat belt appropriately set. I am unsure if this will truely resolve the issue. I noted many of the same issues on the internet. My second issues relates to the driver side air bag that did not activate when i was severly rear ended. My car also hit the car in front of me. It was a major hit as i incurred in excess of $10,000.00 in damages. *tr

2016 370Z

Thank you

2014 370Z

The passenger side airbag will not operate when the passenger in the vehicle is less than 130 pounds. I have spoken with my local nissan dealership and with a direct employee of nissan and have been told that it is because of the weight and body structure of the passenger. When i am in the passenger seat of this vehicle the airbag turns off. I am 5'4" and weigh approximately 115 pounds.. Nissan does not consider this a problem. I am being told the vehicle is operating correctly. I have never had this issue with any other vehicle and can not understand how this is acceptable under law. At this point nissan is unwilling to do anything about it. I have reviewed what i can find on your website and feel that this is something which is broken or does not follow the requirements of law. I would like your feedback concerning this.

2013 370Z

The air bag disabled light is on when my wife sits in the passenger seat. She weighs 120lbs and is 5' 8" tall. I have taken the car to nissan several times and they say the sensor is working to spec.

2012 370Z

The warning light came on. My airbags need to be replaced they told me. Are not working. My car was tested at dealer also.

2012 370Z

Srs light remains on all the time. Local dealer says it is a common problem and will fix it for 2500.00 dollars. Will air bags work? I don't know.

2018 370Z

Nissan 370z (total ride of 10,000 kilometers) purchased from nissan korea (gangnam branch) in late july 2019 and rode on pocheon laceway (car racecourse, circuit) on february 8, 2019, and suffered a huge blow due to suspected breakage. After riding a circuit (with enough cooling, total circuit driving black box video) at a certain interval, the brakes did not work well at about 180 mph, and soon after, the sponge phenomenon occurred at 120 mph. Fortunately, there was no one nearby, and i was also lucky to end up with a stiff neck and no credit. On february 7, 2019, the day before the accident, nissan seongsu center ran a circuit and asked for a check on brakes and other consumables. The company said that there was no problem with engine oil change and other parts. But the next day, i ended up losing my life in a big accident because of a brake defect during circuit driving. As a result, i was able to suspect that the abs module, the brake component used on nissan vehicles, was defective, as the black box video and the driving record at that time showed that the brakes had not been applied, and the vehicle was checked a day ago and only rode on a full-kilogram vehicle. This was also pointed out by mbc as a defective part manufactured by continental company (including dozens of vehicle lists released last november, including nissan gtr and using parts such as 370z), which caused the brake fluid to boil, resulting in a very serious problem connecting the pressure of the brakes (response) to the spongy phenomenon. However, nissan has only recalled the vehicle in relation to the abs, but has been irresponsible about other problematic vehicles. You can also see that the 370z vehicle has long been a very poor vehicle for all engine related parts, and the nissan center has been charging them for free (this is not a formal recall).

2011 370Z

On october 19, 2012, while driving and beginning to stop, my brake light and my abs light came on. My brake light would go off; however, the abs/traction light remained on. I took it to the dealership to have it looked at on october 20, 2012 and was told that the brake master cylinder was leaking and that there had been a recall on the part and they would fix it, but did not know when they would get the part and as of october 29, 2012, i have not been contacted by the dealership about the part. I am very worried as i was reading about the part and it the information obtained stated that ""brake fluid may leak from the master cylinder," said nhtsa in its recall summary of the 2009 sentra. "if the amount of brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir decreases to below the minimum level, the brake system warning indicator will illuminate as designed, and the brakes will not function properly. If the warning lamp is continuously ignored, one of the brake circuits on the vehicle may fail, increasing stopping distance and increasing the risk of a crash." nissan has yet to fix this part and i believe at this time are being negligent as further reading about the situation said that the back brakes will also start to wear due to constant pressure being put on them to stop the vehicle because of this malfunction and i believe that nissan at this time should be responsible for replacing my back and front brakes since they have been negligent in responding to the issue. *tr

Vehicle has keyless system, the only key slot available is in the drivers side door. When i enter the vehicle, normally a light comes on to acknowledge the system recognizes you. On entering this time, a small symbol with the word key on it illuminated and the car would not start or go into the accessory position, nor would the steering column unlock. Also, the brake pedal was very hard. The owner's manual states the key symbol indicates a malfunction in the intellikey system. The vehicle was towed to a nissan dealership where it was determined the electric steering lock had failed. The cost of repair was near $1200.00 and i was informed that, even though the car was still within warranty for 40,000 miles or for over a year, nissan was refusing to make these repairs under warranty coverage. It seems this is an almost inevitable failure on any nissan or infiniti equipped with this system. I was lucky that it failed in a super market parking lot near home.

The fuel gauge indicator or the fuel level sender malfunctioned. After filling up the tank clearly almost to the top, the fuel gauge showed misinformation which the tank was not full. *tr

Vehicle fuel gauge said 1/4 of a tank as i was driving the car suddenly shut off on a busy road making it very dangerous. I had the car towed home and as i was trying to diagnose the problem i added gas to the tank and the car started. Obviously the problem is the fuel sending unit.

2009 370Z

The gas reading is always messed up since i bought the car, it's left me stranded my last 350z also did this i won't shop nissan with these issues if i'm forced to pay for this issue twice

2009 370Z

Fuel sending unit doesnt work appropriately. Full tank of gas and it shows that it doesn't have any gas. There's hundreds of people complaining about this. It's a risk since a false amount of fuel can lead to the vehicle stopping out of nowhere on a highway/street which can lead to accidents. Http://www.the370z.com/engine-drivetrain/114359-fuel-sending-unit-help.html http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-warranty-scheduled-maintenance-servicing-repairs/24770-fuel-sender-problemo.html http://www.350z-tech.com/forums/141-how-articles/70283-fuel-pump-location.html http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-general-discussions/78382-oh-no-not-another-fuel-gauge-issue.html http://www.the370z.com/nissan-370z-warranty-scheduled-maintenance-servicing-repairs/26917-fuel-gauge-not-lighting-all-way-up.html these are some of the threads as soon as you search for 370z fuel sending unit.

2009 370Z

The fuel gauge does not display a full tank of gas after a fill up. This results in a very inaccurate depiction of fuel levels. This is a know issue but nissan has refused to acknowledge on the 370z. The problem it intermittent, but it has only gotten worst. I brought my car to the dealership a while ago and they replaced the instrument cluster, believing it to be an issue with the display. The issue is still there after they installed a new instrument cluster, but now i'm past my extended warranty. The real cause of this is within the fuel system and the way it measures the fuel level. This renders the fuel gauge, distance to empty and average mpg reading inaccurate and useless. There are others who have this issue and i would like for nissan to address it as a recall.

2009 370Z

As i was merging onto 101 from 880 in san jose, the car lost all drive at the exit of the merge as the car experienced fuel starvation when the fuel on the right side of the gas tank slosh over to the left side during the tight turn from 101 and 880. My speed was less than 30mph at the turn and the starvation happened as i exited the clover leaf. The experience was scary as i lost all drive while cars were coming up behind me at 65mph. This has happened before, it is a common issue with the 370. I would like to ask nhtsa to step in and ask nissan for a permanent fix. This happened with more than half a tank of gas on board. *tr

2009 370Z

Car revs up to 2500-3000 rpms between shifts! Cannot get the idle to drop lower; any attempt to punch the gas pedal and lower the idle just makes it idle faster!! Problem has existed 3.5 years now, and every time i request the dealer investigate they have lame excuse of "if it isn't doing it when you bring it in, we can't troubleshoot it"! Wtf? The most recent time (march 2013) the car had a "service engine" light at the same time and idle wouldn't drop below 2000 rpms for 3 days. I took it in for service and dealer found "nothing wrong" and "no codes saved in ecm memory". Again, wtf? Isn't this the same toyota runaway throttle issue - same year, same japanese car, same fuel throttle component purchased from the same inferior supplier? Dealer is not documenting my requests!! Are you waiting for me to have an accident and die before you fix it? *tr

2009 370Z

Attempted to start car using the push button. The car wouldn't start. Had aaa come out to test the battery. The battery was good. I towed to the dealership. They said it had a steering lock failure which cost $1100 to repair. It took a day to order the part. The mileage was 22,114. The service tech said he saw a lot of altimas come in with this problem. *tr

2009 370Z

The fuel gauge is inaccurate and/or defective fuel sender unit causing the gauge to not show a full tank after filling up. It renders the gauge unreliable in determining the amount of fuel left. Also, the car has a fuel starvation issue when making sharp right turns with less than a quarter tank. It causes the engine to stall and won't start until you either let it sit or fill with more gas. *tr

2009 370Z

Fuel sending unit failure. Fuel gage will not read the correct amount of fuel in tank. Issues has been getting progressively worse for more than 2 years.
