What's wrong. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2025 Murano, 2025-2026 Armada, and Infiniti QX80 vehicles. A software error may occur in the In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system at vehicle startup, resulting in the rearview camera image not displaying when the vehicle is shifted into reverse. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 111, "Rear Visibility."

Risk. A rearview image that does not display reduces the driver's view behind the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

Fix. The IVI system software will be updated by a dealer, or through an over-the-air (OTA) update, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed February 2, 2026. What's wrong. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2012-2017 NV Cargo and NV Passenger Van, 2013-2015 Titan and Armada and 2011-2012 Infiniti QX56 vehicles. Due to a manufacturing issue, the air bag inflator may not function properly or may rupture during deployment.

Risk. An inflator rupture may result in metal fragments striking the driver or other occupants resulting in serious injury or death.

What's wrong. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2015 Nissan Armada vehicles manufactured September 15, 2014, to October 14, 2014. Due to interference between the parking rod and the transmission housing, the parking pawl may not fully engage.

Risk. This condition may allow the vehicle to move with the shifter in the "Park" position, increasing the risk of a vehicle crash.

Fix. Nissan will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the casting date stamp on the transmission housing and replace the affected transmissions, free of charge. The recall began January 19, 2015. Owners may contact Nissan customer service at 1- 800-647-7261.

What's wrong. Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain model year 2015 Nissan Armada vehicles manufactured April 30, 2015, to June 5, 2015. The affected vehicles may have been built with driver or front passenger seat belt assemblies that may not properly latch or that may not unlatch when the release button is pressed. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection" and number 209, " Seat Belt Assemblies."

Risk. A seat belt that does not properly latch would not restrain a user, increasing their risk of injury in the event of a crash. A seat belt that does not properly unlatch when the release button is pressed may prevent the occupant from quickly exiting the vehicle in a emergency, such as after a crash, increasing their risk of injury.

Risk. If the front brake pressure is reduced there would be less braking power, requiring a longer distance to stop the vehicle, increasing the risk of a crash.

What's wrong. Nissan is recalling certain model year 2012 titan and armada vehicles, manufactured from august 12, 2011, through march 13, 2012. The part 567 certification labels on the vehicles do not contain rim size information. Thus, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 110, “tire selection and rims.”

Risk. The omission of the rim size may lead to an incorrect tire/wheel combination which may increase the likelihood of a crash.

Fix. Nissan will supply owners with a new label and instructions on how install the label or the owner will have the option of taking their vehicle to a nissan dealer to have the new label installed free of charge. The lower control link assembly has two cylindrical collars forming the inboard attachment points to the chassis. Due to an improper welding process some collars may contain welds that do not meet strength specifications.

Risk. If the collar weld separates, the vehicle handling will deteriorate, possibly resulting in a vehicle crash.

The brake pedal pivot pin end was not spin-formed to specification during the manufacturing process of the brake pedal assembly. These vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of federal motor vehicle safety standard no. 207, "seating systems." the second row center seat hinge assembly was manufactured out of specification. This may prevent the rear center seatback from fully locking in the in-use (upright) position.

Risk. In the event of a crash, the second row center seat may not function properly increasing the risk of injury to the seat occupant.

Fix. Dealers will inspect the second row center seat hinges/lock for proper function. Applied brakes and pedal pulsed and required alot of effort to slow down. Was unable to slow vehicle down fast enough and rear ended vehicle in front of us. Caused a 3 car pileup. The 3 passengers in our 04 armada suffered whiplash, the driver sprained her wrist and was out of work for 3 days because of accident. I was going down east chase parkway in fort worth going towards green oaks blvd into arlington texas and my brakes went out. I heard a grinding noise and my truck wouldn't stop. So, i pulled over and car my truck off and on and the problem seemed to go away. I proceeded on my way and they went out again and i almost rear ended a 18-wheeler with my two babies in the car. I immediately ran up on a curb to not hit the semi. And, immediately went to a brakes shop and was told it was my brake booster kit that was attached to the abs system. That was recalled and since i didn't find out til later and didn't have problems til later on i got screwed and had to pay over $1300.00 dollars to fix it. I was driving a RENTED 2021 Nissan Armada. The brakes of this vehicle locked up when I was trying to avoid rear ending a car that had suddenly jumped in front of me. Instead of being able to control the braking, once I put the brake on, I tried to let up a little to see if I could stop the vehicle from skidding. However once I put my foot down on the brake it continued to stay depressed. I noticed that the vehicle was sliding and the steering wheel was also locked. I couldn't swerve to the left or right. I hit the van in front of me, the air bags deployed--driver's side air bag broke open and let out noxious gas. I have never driven a vehicle with such AEB troubles. 2011 Armada

While driving at 45-50 miles per hour, skid and brake lights came on. Immediatly all tires looked and the vehicle skid of the road. I was unable to brake or stop the vehicle, it slid and over turned until it came to a stop on it's own. Before this my heat(a/c unit) went out on it's own as well as the wipers.

Original complaints filed july 31st and october 22, 2015, respectively. A response has been received from the insurance company regarding their decision of supplemental repairs, odi #10745373 and #10781329, as it relates to the vehicle safety determination after the collision loss in november 2010. I forwarded the dmv-349 and additional documents by mail to the nhtsa address provided previously.

Original odi #10745373 - 11/19/2010 still unresolved. Review of nc dmv - 340 (rev.3/2001) with insurance company, insurance affiliated collision repair shop and nissan of north america confirmed acknowledgment of rotor/ brake damage during repairs. The collision repair shop and (nissan)modern service mgr. Both internally notated the issue until the claim was confirmed by a nissan service tech (5936) on 12/21/2010 during a collision re-inspection. Front/ rear brake pad replacement has not resolved the rotor issue confirmed during 2010 repairs. Brake pads were not worn to require replacement during inspections to address concerns. The nissan edr issue has remained unaddressed by the insurance company while nissan has provided all warranty/ recall services for the vehicle from 2006 to the present. Geico has provided a guarantee of all losses related to collision on 12/07/2010. *js

Sometime in mid august 2008, my wife and daughter were out running errands in our 2006 armada. She came home and told me about the "brake" light coming on, severe front end "shuddering" as she applied the brakes and difficulty stopping. I went out to the vehicle, turned it on, the brake light was not on. I drove the vehicle around for about 20 minutes with no problems. I did slow even stops, hard "emergency type" stops, braking around corners. Not a single problem. I checked the brake fluid, it was slightly above the minimum line, so i topped it off with the prescribed brake fluid. The car operated just fine until sept 12, 2008 at approx. 4:50 pm when at 40 mph i approached a two way stop sign, applied the brakes, and nothing happened, i frantically pumped the brakes, until the wall in front of me was close and i instinctively put my hands in front of my face. The vehicle hit the curb at a 90 degree angle, jumped the curb, crashed through a safety sign, and then crashed through a 18-24" sewer line that had yet to be buried. In fact the armada almost rolled as it was riding on top of a piece of the severed sewer line. I called 911, and then smelled gasoline. Hazmat was called because the fuel line was ruptured by the sign going underneath the vehicle. Luckily nobody was coming the other way. I was transported via ambulance, diagnosed with a "deep chest contusion" from the seat belts. Air bags did not deploy. As of this writing on 10/17/08 nissan of north america is still "reviewing" the results of the independent 3rd party they sent out to test the car. They have told me this review by their engineering and legal departments could take several more weeks. *tr

Tl* the contact owns a 2010 nissan armada. While driving approximately 50 mph, the contact noticed smoke emitting from the rear of the vehicle. Immediately the vehicle was maneuvered to the side of the road where the contact detected the smoke originated from the rear driver's side brake caliper. The vehicle was towed to an authorized dealer who informed the brake caliper locked which resulted to the heated tire rim and smoke. The part was unavailable and the vehicle would be repaired upon the availability of the part. The manufacturer was not notified of the problem. The approximate failure mileage was 44,800.

He heard a loud noise coming from the brakes when they were engaged. He also stated that the speedometer was moving up and down and the vehicle became hesitant while driving. He drove onto the emergency lane and turned the vehicle off. Within a few minutes the vehicle started but the speedometer was not working and some of the warning lights were illuminated. The failure mileage was 51,300 and the current mileage was 51,327.

At first he thought this problem was caused by the disc brakes, pads, and the rotors that rusted, but afterwards he decided that this was caused the vehicle sitting on the lot. But since the problem became progressively worse when braking hard at highway speeds. The brakes will shutter and fade. This vehicle was made with the highest towing package and when towing something he felt like he was going to crash with this vehicle because it got so worse. He contacted a dealership and spoke with the manufacturer. The dealership told him that they were going to replace the brakes by a by owner basis but had no plans in making this a recall. There has almost been several accidents with this problem. He retired from the sheriff' s department and has been to professional driving school. Purchased a new 2004 armada in august 2004. Had nothing but problems with the car. I recently was involved in an accident because of brake failure. The car was taken to nissan immediately after the body was repaired for them ,to repair the brakes. Mid city nissan in chicago informed me that they would not repair the vehicle because the body shop damaged the brakes. This was ridiculous because the car was in the accident in the first place due to brake failure. . Also, the initial inspection revealed, that previous to any body work done, the rotors/ calipers, and the pads were defective. Nissan was well aware of this problem, yet they did nit want to admit it. In addition, the employees of mid city were extremely rude and confrontational. They were not helpful in any way. Driver's side window did not always roll up, and the stereo's volume faded in and out. However, mid city did not want to repair these problems either because there was nothing wrong with the car". This was the worst truck i have ever owned, and i will never buy another nissan. I cannot believe how poor their customer service is. I drive a 2017 nissan armada that caught fire!!! We purchased this vehicle march of this year. My heated seat malfunctioned and caught my pants and my seat on fire while i was driving with two-2- small children!!! Tuesday morning november 12th, 2019 i was driving my 7 year old to school with my 3 year old with us when i started to feel a pain in my left leg. I lifted my leg which then i saw smoke and could smell something was burning. All this happened while i was driving with 2 small children strapped into their carseats. When i noticed the hole and black marks in my sweatpants and a hole in my driver seat i immediately turned off the heated seat button. We could of wrecked into another vehicle that most likely would of had another kid in the car. Not only was my children's lives and my life at risk but all those people's lives around me taking their kids to school, too. It was one of the most scariest days of my life. I am terrified to drive this vehicle now. We could had died!!! I bought this vehicle because i wanted heated seats, now i will never use heated seats again. The air bags never deployed before, during or after the collision despite the multiple damages and my minor injury. There has been an on-going airbag diagnostic code that has been monitored during other general maintenance repairs that were completed. It has not been brought to my attention if the vehicle contains a defective air bag system. I am trying to obtain the nissan part numbers/descriptions for the original airbags within my 2006 armada. 2023 Armada

On July 29, 2025, while pulling into the driveway, my 2023 Nissan Armada experienced a complete electrical and brake failure. I put the vehicle in Park, and the entire dash and infotainment screen went black while the engine was still running. The vehicle began rolling forward even though it was in Park and bumped into the house. (Minimal damage thankfully) When I tried to stop it, the brake pedal went completely to the floor with no braking power at all. The shifter was locked in PARK, and I could not put it into Reverse or Neutral. I had to press and hold the Start/Stop button to turn the vehicle off. After restarting, everything returned to normal and I was able to then shift into reverse, but this is a major safety issue there was a total loss of braking and transmission control. Currently Nissan is telling me that it could have been because the car needed a “software update” and also can be caused by a “bad battery” and they have had several customers with similar break issues and electronic failure due to the battery. This is completely unacceptable and dangerous. My babies were in the car we were TERRIFIED!! Currently I just have a tow receipt as Nissan of Boerne still has the vehicle.

BCI (Back-up Collision Intervention) Malfunction. It's random when this comes up on the dashboard warning lights. It lights up several other things as well. It doesn't allow you to use the cruise control, or the 4-wheel drive. It disables the ABS and traction control. I don't know how this is not a recall, because I see several forums talking about this issue for this vehicle specifically in this year. We took it to the dealership, and they brushed it off, and claimed they didn't know how to fix it. It has caused multiple problems and has put my family at harms risk due to it disabling the safety features.

Twice, while i thought the vehicle was in park, it began to roll. The first time i caught it right away and igrnored it. The second time was tuesday march 11, 2014. I arrived and work and parked. It was dark. Put the truck in park, turned off the engine and lights; when i opened the door, i could hear the wind rushing by (i was parked in a parking lot (very slight decline.) anyway, got back in, slammed on the brakes, but still managed to hit the bushes (small trees) in front of me. My nissan armada caught fire. My front driver seat got very hot to the point of burning. Pulled over to get an application for my child's daycare. Pulled my son or to go with me and left my daughter in the car watching a movie while i went in by the time i reached the door i hear my kids yelling. The passenger side front seat adjuster motor caught the under side of the seat on fire while no one touched the seat adjuster. For some reason the adjuster motor heated up and when my wife, child, and mother had to pull off of the interstate due to smoke, i was luckily behind them and got the family out of the car and then looked under the seat and saw 3 inch flames coming out of one of the adjuster motors. I was able to pull the motor out from under the seat after i poured a water bottle over the motor and used two pairs of gloves to keep from burning my hands. From looking at the adjuster motor after pulled from the vehicle one end was completely gone as it melted and burned off the plastic cover. It also burned a couple of holes in the carpet under the seat. I cannot believe that a motor would just catch on fire and after taking the vehicle to randy reed nissan, the service department stated the seat adjuster was stuck in the "on" position. The question i have is how can it stick in the on position when we are not touching the seat adjusters. Lastly, since my wife stated she smelled a burnt smell while the vehicle was in the off position, what if the adjuster caught fire while in the garage and cause the vehicle to burn and catching the house on fire. I say this because the adjustor would have caught fire while the vehicle was off. It had nothing to do with having the vehicle on. There should be a safety switch to keep something like that from happening. It also caused $3,600 in repair which we have not completed yet. *tr

I was driving a RENTED 2021 Nissan Armada. The brakes of this vehicle locked up when I was trying to avoid rear ending a car that had suddenly jumped in front of me. Instead of being able to control the braking, once I put the brake on, I tried to let up a little to see if I could stop the vehicle from skidding. However once I put my foot down on the brake it continued to stay depressed. I noticed that the vehicle was sliding and the steering wheel was also locked. I couldn't swerve to the left or right. I hit the van in front of me, the air bags deployed--driver's side air bag broke open and let out noxious gas. I have never driven a vehicle with such AEB troubles. My wife was forced off the highway after dropping our 5 children at camp. She was forced off the highway and she hit a large tree at 50+MPH. She did have her seatbelt on, but all of her airbags failed to deploy. She has suffered multiple injuries to include whiplash, strained muscles, neurological compromised with burning, tingling into her upper extremities, headaches, and multiple other injuries. The vehicle was inspected and declared a total loss by USAA our insurance provider. The vehicle has also been inspected by Nissan Motor Corporation on 8/25/21. We have not received any feedback or report regarding their inspection to date. This vehicle was purchased new by us in 09/17, it has been serviced by our dealership since it was purchased, it did not have any warning lights or other symptoms of maintenance problems or failures prior to the accident. We have all the service records to attest to the maintenance status of the vehicle.

Brand‑new 2026 Nissan Armada suffered catastrophic engine failure at under 5,000 miles. Fault codes P21A1, P0019, P0326, and P219C were identified by an ASE Master Technician. Technician warned of internal mechanical failure and a risk of fire or explosion. Vehicle became undriveable and was towed to the dealership. Technician instructed that the engine should not be started due to safety risk.

2022 Armada

Battery drain happens and vehicle Will be hard to start or not start at all. New battery was installed and 4 months later, same issue. It has been taken into dealership multiple times and they can never recreate the issue and have found nothing wrong with the vehicle to repair. This has caused wife and kids to be stranded because vehicle won’t start. No warning lights, nothing that the dealership found to cause issue.

2022 Armada

The vehicle radiator fan clutch engaged all the time and slowed acceleration responsiveness. This could cause safety issues when the vehicle responds to gas differently. This seemed to be a common component that goes out on Armada.

My family and I traveled to Ohio to visit family. After stopping for fuel, 6hrs into our drive, our 2021 nissan Armada started bucking, skipping, and eventually stalled 50 yards from the fuel station. Several attempts at restarting the vehicle resulted in a sputtering idle and stall. This put my family is grave danger as we were beginning our acceleration onto the interstate at 11pm eastern standard time. After some research, our vehicle doesnt fall under the recall for faulty pump. The pump assembly is $900 as well as a $700 tow bill. This is very dangerous and its evident their's more Armadas with the faulty pump than nissan originally recalled. My wife and I are extremely disappointed and frightened to drive this suv 10 hours back home once its fixed. Please review and consider our vehicle for reimbursement for the near miss situation. My 2008 nissan armada 's interior roof console fell on top of my children and their friend's head without warning. This posed an immediate safety hazard for my children as well as me. After picking up my daughter and her friend from practice, the interior roof console completely fell on top of them. We were all so scared. When i heard the loud noise, i looked in the rear view mirror and wasn't sure what happened. At first i thought we somehow were hit but i quickly realized that it was the console that fell. My rear view was completely obstructed. The console hit two of them on top of the head and they were in the middle row. It also hit my 6 year old on the top of the head who was in the back row. They had to hold it up until i was able to safely stop . It was hanging by the electrical wires for the lights and dvd player. I took pictures and called the local nissan dealership which never returned any of my phone calls. This is a very expensive replacement for a poorly manufactured console. It's made out of plastic and should be bolted to the roof with metal screws. This is the 4th nissan that i have owned and sadly i doubt that i will own another unless this safety issues is resolved. I have been a loyal customer for 10 years and introduced 5 families to the nissan family and if this safety issue isn't resolved at nissan expense, i will be leaving. *tr

I hit the button to close the rear lift gate. I then stepped away and when coming back around the corner i did not cut the corner wide enough and went right into the gate which continued to close on my head. This resulted in a laceration to my forehead, a concussion and a trip to the er. At my admission, i was rushing around the corner so i thought perhaps that maybe i did not give it enough time to sense me and retract. However, i have since "tested" this automatic close feature with my arm and it does not sense it and continues to close. Obviously, this time i was aware of what i was doing so i had time to retract my arm. I am left with a permanent scar on my forehead but i fear this could potentially have even worse consequences for someone else in the future, especially a child. *jb

This is my second complaint regarding the overhead console in my 2008 nissan armada. Initially i raised concern about the console being loose. This morning the overhead console fell onto my child.i contacted nissan about why no recall was never issued when there are numerous complaints online for the same issue. This is a safety hazard. I've gotten the runaround from them. I took my armada to the dealership this morning to repair the console. I was told there it was a known issue. The console is secured by plastic brackets that eventually break. The console cannot be repaired, only replaced. To replace the console is $2900. We should not have to be responsible for nissan's use of subpar parts. A recall needs to be issued to address this. Fortunately my child was not seriously injured. *tr

The vehicle was taken to a dealer for diagnosis and was informed that the console would have to be re-attached but no cause for the failure was determined. One week later, the rear ceiling console became detached. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 47,500 and the current mileage was 52,000.

I hit a deer on july 5th 2014. My front bumper pushed in on my driver side wheel. Cracked my grill. Broke out a head light on driver side. Spoke with my insurance company and was told that this is a common issue with nissan armada. I need a reliable vehicle and i cant take the chance of traveling with hazardous restraints.. My vehicle was smoking from the hood toward the dash board and then i could not even open the door with the key or the alarm button..so a friend broke the driver window and then tried to stop the fire from spreading but was not successful..i tried to get my belongs but either. My vehicle has been maintain in good service at the nissan dealer. I only had it for aprox 1yr nothing was wrong with my car until that day for some reason i don't know it caught on fire.. I have problems with my car in the braking system, suspension, transmission, hydraulic steering system is pouring oil all the time, it is impossible to drive the car with the steering wheel so hard. Wife was in our nissan 2004 armada and was completely stopped on flat ground, placed suv in park. Got out of suv placed both feet on the ground to stand up and then the suv surged and jumped forward, while still in park. The vehicle crushed and pinned her between the door and the door jamb with a concrete metal pole on the outside of the door pinning my wife. The fire dept and ems had to extricate her by placing the suv from park to drive move forward to release my wife. 2023 Armada

On July 29, 2025, while pulling into the driveway, my 2023 Nissan Armada experienced a complete electrical and brake failure. I put the vehicle in Park, and the entire dash and infotainment screen went black while the engine was still running. The vehicle began rolling forward even though it was in Park and bumped into the house. (Minimal damage thankfully) When I tried to stop it, the brake pedal went completely to the floor with no braking power at all. The shifter was locked in PARK, and I could not put it into Reverse or Neutral. I had to press and hold the Start/Stop button to turn the vehicle off. After restarting, everything returned to normal and I was able to then shift into reverse, but this is a major safety issue there was a total loss of braking and transmission control. Currently Nissan is telling me that it could have been because the car needed a “software update” and also can be caused by a “bad battery” and they have had several customers with similar break issues and electronic failure due to the battery. This is completely unacceptable and dangerous. My babies were in the car we were TERRIFIED!! Currently I just have a tow receipt as Nissan of Boerne still has the vehicle.

2013 Armada

Twice, while i thought the vehicle was in park, it began to roll. The first time i caught it right away and igrnored it. The second time was tuesday march 11, 2014. I arrived and work and parked. It was dark. Put the truck in park, turned off the engine and lights; when i opened the door, i could hear the wind rushing by (i was parked in a parking lot (very slight decline.) anyway, got back in, slammed on the brakes, but still managed to hit the bushes (small trees) in front of me. Why am i able to shut of the car if it's not in park like it says? *tr

2006 Armada

The vehicle differential control stopped working and caused a brake failure. The vehicle slide through a red light into an intersection where it was struck in the side by another vehicle. After the incident, i checked the brakes and it had stopped. This was one incident of many. The vehicle's brakes stop working and makes a grinding noise. If i turn the vehicle off and restart it, it will stop doing it. The vehicles brake pads, calipers, and brake booster has been replaced and it still continues to do it. There is no consistency to this occurring. It does this periodically with the same result. I researched the problem and it seems this is and has been a problem involving nissan armadas nationwide with serious consequences. There are tens of thousands of complaints being reported on the internet all of these complaints are described the same way. In fact i received a notice on a class action suite being filed against nissan for this problem. I work for nhtsa and attempted to discuss this problem with odi to no avail. I would expect some sort of response when me and the public make complaints that can and will be life threatening. How many complaints and or how many people need to be involved in crashes, injuries, and/or deaths before something is done. The incident described is one event among many. It has also occurred on the interstate at much higher speeds. The only way to clear it is to turn the vehicle off and crank it back up again. The dealer will not recognize there is a defect, instead they continue to replace brake parts, at the owners expense hoping this will fix the problem.. *tr

2004 Armada

I applied my brakes and stopped 10 feet behind a pick-up at traffic light. The car surged forward. I pushed on the brakes harder, stopped then the car surged again hitting the pick-up twice each time after stopping when pushing harder on the brakes. It is only after putting in neutral that it allowed me to control it and pull over to exchange driver information. The same happened while waiting to fill-up with gas in march 2018. I almost hit a small car. I put it into park at which time the shifter cable broke.

2026 Armada

The contact owns a 2026 Nissan Armada. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the infotainment center independently blinked on and off. The rear-view camera displayed an error message of the rear wheels. The accelerator pedal was depressed; however, the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. The contact stated that the failure had occurred while driving forward or while reversing. Additionally, the transmission was sluggish. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed with a failure of the radio. The contact was informed that an unknown recall was performed prior to the contact purchasing the vehicle. The contact was informed that the recall repair was improperly performed and had caused the failure of the AWD system. The contact was informed that a software update was needed, and the AWD system needed to be reset. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. The failure reoccurred while out of state on a work assignment. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 3,500.

Technician instructed that the engine should not be started due to safety risk.

2025 Armada

When I was stopped and taking a turn, the car will not fully accelerate and it feels almost as if the car is stuck in first gear and won't shift. It makes a super loud revving noise and won't go over 15-20 mph. When this happens, I can't accelerate quickly enough to turn safely with oncoming traffic even with a very long distance. It has happened twice and both time I've nearly been hit. This is a safety issue and puts me and my children at risk when we are driving. I've had to hurry and find a safe place to pull over both times. When I turn the car off and then on again, it goes back to normal. I've also shifted into park and then to drive and it goes back to normal again. This is a huge problem that puts everyone at risk. If I'm trying to merge onto a highway and it happens, there might not be a safe place to pull over. I have taken the car into the dealership and they said that they can't duplicate the issue so there is nothing that they can do. I don't want to keep driving this car until the issue comes back again. That is irresponsible and not safe.

2008 Armada

While driving, the unit that houses the TV and stereo and air vents (center console on roof) decided to break and fall on my child who was in her car seat, almost resulting in me crashing my vehicle. This is a hazard alone. Due to the poor design of this center console, there is no way to repair this piece. It has to be replaced with the same faulty piece, which will eventually break again due to it not being able to sustain the weight. This happened to me at about 78,000 miles. I had to remove the center console.

2005 Armada

I have had numerous issues starting in 13' with the ecm being replaced after 05' armada stalled on highway traveling 70 miles/hour in heavy traffic. Recently in early 15' i ran out of gas when fuel gauge displayed a quarter tank of gas at a red light. Also in early 15' my a/c will only work when on high. Both of these issues are known & are listed as recalls that i will be making a service appointment with my local nissan dealer to research, correct & fix. There are numerous reports of similar & exact known issues online. Most recently in november 15' i was picking my children up from school in the rain. I was traveling home when i had to apply my breaks, but they did not perform as they should. The breaks made a spring sound, the brake peddle had little to no resistance when i applied my foot to stop & the break light came on. I had to veer off the road & ran into a fence post very lightly with minimal damage to my front chrome bumper. I turned car off & immediately checked on my two children in the back seat. We were all ok, thank god. I started armada to find that the break light was no longer on. I hesitated to drive due to what had just happened. I was only 3 miles from home so i slowly attempted to continue home. The armada drove perfect & the breaks functioned as they should with no issues. I googled incident to find numerous complaints & reports with similar to identical complaints/know issue reported & filed. I was blessed that my family was ok & i was able to avoid a serious potentially life threatening accident with loss of breaks one time for no reason. This was the 1st time this has happened and has not happened since. I feel this should be an immediate recall due to the severity of outcome it could cause with temporary break failure. No need for lifes to be lost or lawsuits to make it right and correct/fix issue at no cost.

2005 Armada

Suv ran out of gas at highway speed in center lane during heavy traffic on wife and kids, gauge read 1/4 of tank. Stepped on brake didn't work had a load noise, vdc light, brake light on dash. Understand now that abs system failed and fuel sending unit failed. Nissan has told me that they have a recall on the fuel sending unit on the same year make and model but not mine? They have tried really hard to kill my family with this faulty expensive equipment.

Bought vehicle used from dealer so it must have been damaged by previous owner. In less than 1 hour driving in freeway over 60mph in extreme outside heat of 107F, the transmission went out. It was returned to the dealer and dealer is fixing the problems.

2021 Armada

My family and I traveled to Ohio to visit family. After stopping for fuel, 6hrs into our drive, our 2021 nissan Armada started bucking, skipping, and eventually stalled 50 yards from the fuel station. Several attempts at restarting the vehicle resulted in a sputtering idle and stall. This put my family is grave danger as we were beginning our acceleration onto the interstate at 11pm eastern standard time. After some research, our vehicle doesnt fall under the recall for faulty pump. The pump assembly is $900 as well as a $700 tow bill. This is very dangerous and its evident their's more Armadas with the faulty pump than nissan originally recalled. My wife and I are extremely disappointed and frightened to drive this suv 10 hours back home once its fixed. Please review and consider our vehicle for reimbursement for the near miss situation. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. ⸻ Safety Risk: This issue places me and my children at serious risk while driving. The erratic RPM surges add instability and make it unsafe to rely on the vehicle in critical traffic situations like passing or freeway driving. ⸻ Confirmed by Dealer or Service Center: Yes. I brought the vehicle in for service in early 2025 after experiencing this issue. It was diagnosed with code P0025 and the exhaust valve timing control solenoid was replaced at a cost of over $1,000. However, the issue was not resolved and continues exactly as before. I returned for follow-up and was told an engine replacement might be needed, without receiving documentation or a clear explanation. ⸻ Inspected by Manufacturer, Police, or Insurance: No. The vehicle has not been inspected by Nissan corporate, police, or insurance. 2018 Armada

Well wife was driving car on her way to work and it shut off in the middle of traffic. Was no sure what was wrong until I brought it home and started reading the codes. It gave me P0087 P0090 low fuel pressure regulater circuit open and P119C. So I changed out the sensor the in tank fuel pump, high pressure fuel pump and sensor on the evap can. Car still will not start. So I bought a wiring diagram to see were everything was routed and found out the have a built in fuel relay so I bought a new PCM that didn't work so then I found out it there was a fuel pump controller module so change that and still not cranking. Fuel pump flows fuel for a second then shuts off. Now I am not sure what to do now. Truck has been down for 3 weeks now. And been have to renting a car since then.
