I own a 2019 Nissan Altima S, and recently, all three door locks except for the front passenger door stopped responding to the key fob and the button on the door. From my research, it seems that the most common cause of this issue is a faulty door lock actuator. Many users on Reddit and other forums have reported that the door lock actuators in 2019 Nissan Altimas or new models 2020, 2021 and 2022 can fail, resulting in doors that won’t lock or unlock either with the key fob or even manually. This problem can affect one or multiple doors at a time and is often attributed to a defective actuator. I spoke with a Nissan customer who refused to repair my vehicle and advised me to contact the NHTSA. They will investigate, and if approved, Nissan will repair the issue at no charge. I would like to report this issue for a potential recall and seek assistance with repairs, which are estimated to cost around $1,000

Vehicle door locks stopped working with key fob and with interior controls. Radio volume control on unit doesn’t work only the steering wheel control. Radio will randomly change station by itself. Radio will randomly turn on when car is off. Car will not start and has to be jumped for no apparent reason. Battery has had to been replaced twice in the last 4 years. Dealership has not been able to replicate any of the issues other than the door locks that where repaired under an extended warranty that we purchased. There has to be some kind of electrical issue with these cars as I have seen many other reports of same issues from other people

In August 2024, while driving at around 35 mph, several unknown warning lights illuminated. The background was red and had white writing. The only word I got to see was "Master" something. It flashed so quickly I couldn't read it. The car lost speed like it was about to stall simultaneously. A week later I had to jump start the engine. I had my battery checked and it was good. I had to get another jump start on October 8, 2024. I bought the car new in April 2019. I've replaced the battery twice. I shouldn't have to replace the battery that often. I have kept the maintenance up as required.

My radio unit was replaced almost 2 years ago. Its doing the same exact thing saying no signal but my warrant ran out in 2024. I see that some vehicles same make ans model as mine have been recalled for the same thing but mine has not? Safety is not a factor for this part

Malfunction indicator light will come on and stay on. I took it to autozone, they gave me a printout, they said it wasn't my battery, that it was a communication circuit problem. (CODE U1000-01) I replaced the battery anyway and it's doing the same thing, I have to jump my car off because it want start. It's very frustrating. I took my car to Nissian after I got the print out, but all they do is wanna charge me ridiculous prices that I don't have.

The Infotainment will not work; nor will the USB plug-in operate. Driver unable to operate any devices in vehicle, including any plugs to utilize directions or music. The volume control on infotainment will not work; but the buttons on steering wheel will. Dealership advised filing a complaint.

While driving and listening to the radio, at a comfortable level of 8, the radio will automatically spike to a volume level of 45+ This is very dangerous. Chevy trucks had the same problem and issued some recalls. Will or should Nissen do the same I believe the equipment is Bosch.

My sunroof exploded while driving on the highway. Glass particles throughout the vehicle, except for the driver's front seat area. No glass particles hit my body - it could have caused serios injury - I was not wearing a hat at the time. The 'explosion' startled me, but my attention to the road was not affected, except for a moment. Waiting to have it replaced by Sunroof Express through my Insurance (GEICO). No warnings of any kind were given by my car-system before or during the explosion. To the best of my knowledge nothing struck my vehicle (or the sunroof) prior to its explosion. The problem has not been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center. I'm just waiting to get the sunroof repaired. The vehicle or component has not been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others as of today - waiting for the mechanic to do his thing.

My vehicle was taking to the dealership for an inspection for the nissan engine recall. During the inspection metal was found in my oil pan which the recall states they must repair or replace engine if any metal is found. I was told the engine would be replaced on 11/15/2025 but 2 days later 11/17/2025 I was contacted saying nissan denied my recall repair and to come back and pickup my vehicle. The recall states if any metal is found they must replace the engine but nissan refuse to fix the issue. The report they showed me Saturday stated oil was in my oil pan but now since they denied the recall the report was changed to nothing was found in oil pan. I notied the manager and after I mentioned that to the service manager they changed the report again stating metal was found.

I’ve been experiencing recurring issues with my 2019 Nissan Altima. The malfunction indicator light comes on randomly, often accompanied by several warning lights including the check engine light. When this happens, the car struggles to accelerate and feels like it’s stalling, creating serious safety concerns. I’m aware that there is an active recall for the same symptoms affecting the same model year of the Altima, but my vehicle is not included in the recall due to having the 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine instead of the 2.0-liter VC-Turbo. Despite this, the problems I’m experiencing are nearly identical to those described in the recall notice. I believe this issue may extend beyond the current scope of the recall and deserves further investigation.

While driving my Nissan Altima in normal operation, the vehicle suddenly and unexpectedly stopped and applied the brakes without any input from me. This occurred without warning and created an extremely dangerous situation. There were no other vehicles, obstacles, or apparent reasons for the vehicle to engage any safety systems. This is a critical safety defect that could have resulted in a serious accident. I was fortunate that no vehicles were following behind me, but this incident could easily cause rear-end collisions or other accidents if it occurs again.

Numerous times since I purchased this car used, the auto brake assist will go off unexpectedly when going under bridges… it almost caused me to loose control of my car numerous times. In addition. The malfunction warning light will randomly turn on even on beautiful sunny days with car being clean.

Please note that I have my car regularly inspected for oil changes and maintenance. The adaptive cruise control stopped working August 2022. The car displays "malfunction" on the dashboard. This was inconvenient and at first intermittent, but I did not think it was putting any persons safety at risk. I went to a local Nissan dealership in NJ and they stated it would cost $600 to replace, but no safety issues. Therefore I did not get this fixed at the time. On March 14 2023, I was merging onto a highway in daylight around 4pm. It had started flurrying, but no changes in visibility. There was no car immediately in front of me. The collision warning suddenly came on and the emergency brakes were activated while attempting to accelerate onto a 65 mph highway in NJ. It was extremely startling. It certainly could have caused an accident, especially when vehicles are accelerating to merge onto a highway. I was fortunate that there was no car immediately behind me. On April 26 and 27 2023, the emergency brake was activated again due to a collision warning while in a parking garage. The only correlation I can think that ties these occurrences is when driving from a shaded to sunny location. All three times it also occurred during acceleration. This new problem is quite concerning and dangerous.

08/24/22 driving on a three lane highway with no cars in front of me in any lanes, no pedestrians, animals or any obstacles going 50 mph, the car just stopped and the forward collision warning activated and the car stopped. Took the car in to the local dealer 09/08/22 where technician noted they could not replicate the issue on test drive. Dealer service pointed the issue to 12/2021 accident and wanted to charge me $2,020 to fix. Car has less than 17K miles and is under warranty.

I have Nissan Altima 2019 SR. It has an automatic front emergency brake system that brakes when the car is close enough to save from an accident to occur. But it did the opposite means it risked my life by braking in the middle of the road in traffic even if no cars are in front of me. I was saved a couple of times because there were no cars around me when it did that. But it seems very dangerous and risking life and other around my nissan car. I contacted customer service, they told me I have to pay for that repair. It is ridiculous. How to find justice on this issue? Is this a way these car companies make faulty systems and risk human lives? Do I deserve this? Please help me to solve this problem.

The windshield was randomly cracked without having any impact marks. The car was parked with no cracks on a sunny day and i came to my car within any hour to a cracked windshield. The issue is well know with these vehicles. I have plenty of pictures for evidence as well. Below are pictures of people with similar problems

THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT GLARE ON THE WINDSHIELD THAT IS EXTREMELY DISTRACTING. THIS OCCURS IN SUNNY WEATHER. I HAVE PICTURES OF THIS, AT ONE POINT IT ALMOST BLOCKED OUT A TRAFFIC LIGHT. THE GLARE--AND I AM TALKING ABOUT THE DRIVER'S SIDE OF COURSE, COMES FROM A COMBINATION OF THE HUMP AND FINISH ON THE PART OF THE DASHBOARD NEAREST THE WINDSHIELD. NO SATISFACTION FROM NISSAN.

Adaptive Cruise control and Forward Collision warning has failed. The cruise control will not engage. The Electronic braking system has malfunctioned and this has somehow disabled the cruise control on the vehicle. The car will still brake. I understand that this has been known issue with Nissan but they are not willing to repair it.

The Check engine light came on and I took it to Nissan dealer. My car is at 39,000 mileage. On the previous Nissan Altima (2016) I had, the same thing happened while I was driving from Minnesota to Louisville. We almost crashed at Chicago due to some engine issue. When I arrived to Louisville, KY, I stopped by Nissan dealership and ask them what happen and they told me it will take up to two weeks to fix but recommended to get a new vehicle. I had no choice but to change to a new 2019 Nissan. Now the same thing is happening to this new Nissan Altima and Nissan is not willing to fix the issue without charge. This is very frustrating. I been having issue with the door not unlocking with a remote and they fixed it once and now I have the same issue they are willing to fix again. But My main concern is not the door but the engine light they refuse to fix. Please help.

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact became aware that warm air was coming through the vents while the A/C unit was activated. The contact then stated that the vehicle started jerking with the "Engine Malfunction, Power Reduced" message displayed. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, where water was added to the coolant reservoir, and the contact was informed by the mechanic that there was likely an engine coolant leak and to monitor the coolant level. The contact then stated that there was white smoke coming from the vehicle at start up. While inspecting the vehicle, the contact discovered that the coolant reservoir was empty. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where the contact was informed that the engine had failed. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving approximately 75 MPH, the vehicle suddenly decelerated and went into LIMP Mode. The vehicle was towed to the local mechanic and was diagnosed with engine failure due to a blown head gasket. The head gasket was re-machined, but the vehicle continued to experience engine failure, which included cylinder misfires and coolant leaks. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who determined that the engine needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not yet repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in the NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V437000 (ENGINE AND ENGINE COOLING). I have had the most problems with this car. I have had it in the shop 2 times paid more than $600 both times to be rewired and a sensor was messed up 1 day later check engine light came on they wanted me to bring it back and charge me again I said no thank you check engine light is still on. 3 months in between the 2 times to get rewired. Only lock that works is front passenger side they stopped working they wanted to charge me 400 per door to get fixed. I had to replace battery 2 times I’m having problems with it again. The radio will change randomly that can last 10 minutes or 30 minutes. This is the most crap car I have spent money on! I can’t find the invoice for 12/14/22 but I did attach the bill from 2/24/23. I can show proof from credit card where it was paid on 12/14/22

The doors won’t unlock when using the key fob or pressing the lock/unlock buttons on the driver and passenger front doors. I believe the actuators are not functioning properly. Also, the engine light came on and the code is P059F which indicates a faulty active grille shutter assembly.

I was driving 65 mph on a major highway (I-95) at 7:40am on a clear morning when my tire blew out completely. There was no debris on the road. There were no warning signs. I put on my hazards and was able to cross the lanes to pull over on the shoulder. Fortunately no one was injured, but this is how deadly accidents happen. I waited for an hour but my roadside assistance never came. A road ranger thankfully found me and helped to put in my spare. The tire is complete blown out at the seams. This is the second tire from the same company and lot that spontaneously blew out in the same way. There are recalls in similar tires produced from this same time period and I am convinced these should be recalled as well. I will be obtaining an inspection report. Tire size: 215/55 R17 94V

(215/60/R16) I have two tires that are Continental Procontact A35M WD3T one on front passenger side and other on rear driver side. These tires leak air, tread looks like they're gonna split open. They have lines going all which ways on them. When driving these tires give a jar to my car like never before.

Tire pressure light is always on. I have to put air in tires almost everyday. The air never stay in tires. I’m always catching a flat tire. Malfunction light is always on. I buy new tires every month. Also I was driving and the tire & axle was loss to fall off. I made it to the auto shop in time for him to tell me the problem but it still isn’t fixed.

Tire blew out suddenly while driving at 35mph on my way to work on a well-paved/well-lit road around 6:15AM on October 7th 2021. The sidewall completely separated. There were no warning signs or objects hit/run over that caused the blow out. No one else was on the road at the time and the vehicle was going at a low speed, so luckily no one was injured. Failure of rear differential Electronic Coupler in 2019 Nissan Altima at 66,500 miles. The problem was confirmed by the nissan dealer and the vehicle component has been inspected and replaced by Team Nissan, 70 Keller Street, Manchester NH, 03103 The symptoms of this problem were lots of vibration from the rear of the vehicle, a cyclical chirp while driving and a very loud squeaking noise ( Sounded like metal on metal) while reversing.

The transmission failed /malfunctioned. It’s available for inspection upon request. My safety and the safety of others was put at risk when the vehicle stalled at a traffic light or in the middle of traffic. Took the vehicle to autozone to be scanned and they confirmed it was the transmission. The vehicle has not been inspected by the dealer yet because I would have to paid between $200-350 to have the vehicle towed to the dealership where the vehicle was purchased which is two hours away. The local dealership charges $130 to diagnosis my vehicle. There were no warning lamps or messages prior to the failure. The CVT message appeared on my dashboard after the vehicle stalled and would not accelerate more than 5 miles or would not move at all upon acceleration of the gas. In addition to the current transmission issue, I have also had the brake light switch adjusted twice. The failure of the brake light switch drained the vehicle battery resulting in having the battery replaced as well.

Vehicle has noise from rear differential . Dealership confirms the noise is the rear electric cuppling . Dealership states no recall or warranty for this concern . The 2019 Nissan Rouge which utilizes the same AWD system , including the same electric cuppling with the exact same part number has an open & active recall , yet Nissan has chosen to NOT recall the Altima . Dealership states they suspect "there's not many AWD Altimas to cause a recall." The fact that both vehicles utilize the same exact AWD system including the same cuppling with the same part # should warrant a recall across all vehicles utilizing that system , not just one .

The occupant detection sensor unit on my car has malfunctioned for the 3rd time. My car has never been in an accident or have had the air bags deployed. The first incident was November 2021 with 24,163 miles. The dealer performed a zero-point reset. The second incident was January 2023 with 53,665 miles. The dealer again performed a zero-point reset but charged $170.03 to repair. The dealer told me this is not covered by my extended warranty. The dealer told me if it happened again they would have to replace the sensor and it will cost approximately $1000 - and it is not covered by my Nissan VSC extended warranty. Now it malfunctioned for the 3rd time in May 2023 with 57,155 miles. This appears to be a known issue for Nissan with TSB NTB19-071. I am frustrated that Nissan is asking for payment to replace a faulty sensor that affects air bag deployment in an accident. I believe this is a safety issue that Nissan should pay to replace. My ask is for Nissan to recall these vehicles or voluntarily replace the faulty sensors at no cost to the vehicle owner.

The vehicle was not drivable and was towed to the insurance company's tow yard. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer had been informed of the failure. The failure mileage was 32,812.

Engine Failure while driving. While driving on NJ Turnpike, Engine light appeared on dashboard. Car began to jerk and immediately lost speed from 70 mph to barely 15 mph. The vehicle continued to jerk then rolled to a stop. Vehicle has had regular inspections, repairs and oil changes completed. Engine Malfunction Reduce Power lamp comes on occasionally and goes off after a few minutes. A State Trooper stopped & said I may call #95 if unable to get off at next exit. No Report was made. Problem with engine failure started on 08/08/2025. Vehicle is parked, I am afraid to drive vehicle because I have to stay in Far right lane or on shoulder with hazards when driving. I have an appointment with Nissan Edison NJ on 08/10/2025 to check if my vehicle is eligible for Upcoming RECALL. There is a Recall for 2019 Nissan possibly coming the End of August 2025.

ECM is causing my car to stay in a constant Malfunction state. The problem began in April 2023 and at first was intermittent. Now it stays in limp mode. The collision and traction control indicators stay on, as well as the check engine light. Two sensor codes came up and those were changed, but now the malfunction will not allow the codes to be cleared. This puts myself, passengers, and everyone else on the road in danger because when it malfunctions, it brakes without warning. Not to mention the amount of gas the car is using. The vehicle was inspected by a mechanic who stated it was the ECM causing it. This needs to be recalled.

I have a 2019 Nissan Altima SR 2.5. I have currently had the car for about 3 or 4 years now. For most of the time I have had the car, the check engine light stays on. I have had it tested, and it always states that it is the Mass Air Flow Sensor. When sitting in park idling, it will "malfunction" and state that the engine is reducing power. During this, the automatic emergency brake warning light and the VDC light will come on. It's rare that it happens while I am driving but it has happened. I recently had the vehicle checked again and again it stated that the Mass Air Flow Sensor and the Grille Shutter Actuator were throwing codes along with some other minor items. I purchased the MAFS and replaced it in hope that this would correct a lot of the idling issues, however after a few days of driving the vehicle, it again has started to malfunction and idle harshly. I do know it typically happens in the morning recently, but I was also having issues with my battery draining for no reason. This car is a certified lemon. I currently don't know what to do, as this sight states I have no unrepaired recalls for this vehicle, and I currently owe too much money to trade it in.

The shutter in the front of the car is defective. This part not working causes the car to overheat. There are so many issues with this exact same problem on this exact car that there is literally a back order and I cannot get the part so now I can’t use my car. My mechanic place said he’s seen 4 of these cars in the past week with the same problem and can’t get the parts because of back order. If there are this many issues that it’s causing this much of a shortage and it can cause overheating this should be a recall issue.

My car since 45000 miles has had an acceleration issue. When I engage the gas pedal, 3- 5 seconds pass before the vehicle moves. Once moving, the engine will stutter or slightly jerk forward and backwards, almost to a stalling point. The safety issue is the potential for accident as cars may collide with me from the side or rear not seeing the issue I’m having. Dealership refuses to fix telling me not to bring it in until a check engine light is on. There is electrical malfunctions happening in my car as I near 100k miles still having this issue. In research, many if not all Altima owners are reporting this acceleration issue, there are countless, so much so, the talk is wondering why no recall has been issued. A lawsuit was also filed, Judge dismissed, but plaintiffs were taken care of and problems rectified. If I don’t make a complaint, I’m not doing my part to advance this issue to a higher level. Thank you for listening and taking my voice seriously.

I have bought this vehicle Oct/Nov of 2023 , from private dealer on at least three occasions I have experienced the vehicle automatically speeding up without stepping on the gas pedal. I had to hold down the braking system and pulling over to avoid an accident. Although , I've quickly placed the vehicle on neutral the engine was still revving . I then powered off vehicle for a few minutes and restarted to learn the vehicle continued to rev on park mode. I then waited at least 10 minutes and then vehicle resorted back to normal state. There was no warning lamps presented. I will be bring this issue to the dealer attention and see whether the vehicle can be serviced; As I do not feel safe.

The front radar distance sensor becomes blocked and unavailable while driving. This happens every time I drive the car. Several times the warning message came on and the car tried to briefly brake. I took my car into the Nissan dealership and they confirmed the sensor has failed and recommends replacement. This is a known issue with Several models of Nissan cars per NHTSA NTB19-033A. This has been happening in my car for about two weeks. I took it in to the dealership as soon as I could after noticing the problem. I believe my car was built at the end of 2018 and has this faulty sensor reference in NHTSA NTB19-033A or clearly they have not rectified the problem fully. I think 2019 vehicles should be added to the recall.

At about 12 months we noticed an intermittent clunking sound from the rear of the car. We took it to the dealer and was advised they could not duplicate the problem. I went to have the car state inspected 1/20/22 and it failed. Both reared shocks were determined to be bad, one of which was leaking badly. I brought the car back to a Nissan dealer and was told nothing could be done as my mileage was 45,000. I was told the repair would be approx. $800. Most of my miles are easy highway miles. There obviously was a defect in the shock observers or the assembly of them. No way should new shocks be needed in a car a little over 3 years old with 45K miles on it

THE ISSUE WAS FIRST NOTICED WHILE DRIVING WITH THE CRUISE CONTROL ENGAGED AND I KEPT GETTING CLOSER TO THE VEHICLE AHEAD OF ME WITHOUT MY VEHICLE AUTOMATICALLY SLOWING DOWN (I.E., THE CAR MAINTAINED THE CRUISE CONTROL SET SPEED.) On August 30, 2025, while driving on the highway, my 2019 Nissan Altima displayed a “CVT (AT) Hot / Power Reduced” warning. Power was limited, but the engine did not shut off. I immediately scheduled service at Paul Miller Nissan in Fairfield, CT. At the September 2, 2025 visit, the repair order stated: “Customer states CVT (AT) Hot Power Reduced display in dash. All past codes stored; cleared all past codes stored.” No complete diagnostic test, CVT pressure test, or fluid inspection was performed. The dealership did not preserve the freeze-frame data from the TCM. I was told that no current fault codes were present and that the vehicle was safe to operate. Relying on the dealership’s professional assurance, I continued normal use of the vehicle. About a couple of weeks later, the vehicle began to jerk and lose smooth acceleration intermittently, worsening by the sixth week. I promptly returned for service. On October 21–22, 2025, the same dealership confirmed transmission codes P0776 and P17F0, diagnosing a CVT failure and recommending full replacement. When questioned about prior diagnostic data, the service manager stated that all data from the September visit had been cleared and that the freeze-frame information was deleted and no longer available. This handling contradicts Nissan’s standard CVT diagnostic protocol, which requires documenting stored codes, inspecting CVT fluid condition, and recording internal temperatures before clearing data. Nissan Consumer Affairs later stated their review relied solely on the dealership’s findings and that missing diagnostic data would not be retrieved. Since the confirmed failure, I have been forced to rent a vehicle at my own expense, exceeding $1000 to date. The vehicle’s reduced power and transmission failure created a serious safety risk, especially as I transport my children in this vehicle. The dealership’s erasure of diagnostic evidence prevented accurate evaluation and timely repair. The issue remains unresolved.

The airbag system failed to deploy during a collision. The vehicle is currently in not my possession. The airbag control module, sensors, and airbags themselves can be inspected to determine the cause of non-deployment. 2. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? My safety was put at significant risk because the airbags did not deploy during the impact. This increased the potential for serious injury to the driver and passengers during the crash, as the airbags are a critical part of the vehicle’s safety system designed to prevent head and chest injuries. 3. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Not yet. The vehicle has not been inspected by my insurance and considered totaled. 4. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives, or others? A police report was filed for the accident, and my insurance company has been notified. The vehicle has been inspected by insurance, but both parties have been informed of the issue and an inspection has been taken place 5. Were there any warning lamps, messages, or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? No warning lights or airbag system messages appeared prior to the crash. The airbag light on the dashboard was functioning normally before the accident, and there were no indications of a malfunction with the safety restraint system.

The contact owns a 2019 Nissan Altima. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the engine overheated and hot air came out of the vents, entering the cabin of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the coolant reservoir needed to be refilled. The dealer refilled the coolant reservoir. The failure persisted, and the vehicle was returned to the dealer, who then diagnosed that the radiator thermostat had failed. The thermostat was replaced; however, the failure reoccurred approximately 3 weeks after the repair. While driving approximately 30 MPH, the engine started to overheat, and the temperature gauge moved to "High". The vehicle stalled while on the side of the road and waited for approximately 30 minutes before being able to restart and drive to the residence. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, who diagnosed that the engine and failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact found information on NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 19V316000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) and 18V922000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the VIN was not included in the recalls. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 150,000.

The spare tire that is included with the vehicle is the wrong overall diameter and if used on either front or rear, will cause the AWD transfer case to over heat within 1 mile. There is the potential for major damage or destruction of the AWD transfer case. This is an immediate safety concern! Nissan should recall these vehicles immediately and provide a proper sized spare tire that can be driven on to get to a repair facility without vehicle damage or loss of control.

Without warning, both sideview mirrors, plus the blindspot warning system began to not work. Mirror adjustments failed to work on both sides and also the blindspot warning light stopped working when a vehicle would pass. I proceeded to take my vehicle to Regal Nissan, Inc., located at 1090 Holcomb Bridge Road, Roswell, Georgia 30076, 770-998-8686 on December 19, 2023 at approximately 2:00pm, and was told by the Service Advisor, Deandre Gaines that they would not be able to look at it as the day was almost over and he scheduled an appointment for December 20, 2023 at 9:00am. Today, December 20, 2023, I attended my appointment arriving approximately 9:09am and spoke with Deandre Gaines. He told me that they would do a diagnostic check to find out what was causing this. I asked if the diagnostic check would be just for my arm rest where the control was or did he mean for the whole car, and he said no not the whole car only the arm rest, and he never stated the price. I told him that I would wait on the car, and proceeded to their customer waiting room. Once they were done, they tell me that the cost would be $175.88!!! I asked for what??? He tells me that because I have 39,747 miles and it is outside the the 36,000 mile warranty that this is what it cost for a diagnostic. I said, you never said the price!!! I had no idea that it would cost this much just for you to tell me this. He strong-armed me on the price. I then asked to speak to his manager (which I did not get his name) and the manager then said the same thing. I was so frustrated at how I strong-armed on this price. Deandre never stated the price. This is border line exhortation. He took my freedom away as a Georgia consumer by giving the price after the fact and not telling me the price before hand. This would not have been an issue if he had told me the price beforehand, as I would have had the choice to say yes or no. If additional documentation is needed, please let me know. There is no incident. I am writing about the safety hazards of the oncoming blue bright lights coming from the oncoming cars/trucks SUV's etc. I own a Sedan and on a highway these blue lights ( in all new vehicles) blind you. The trucks and SUV's are having so bright light that it is difficult to drive. The adaptive lights are no good on a dark two lane road, specially on a road with snow. This is more dangerous on an incline where the vehicles are coming at fast on a two lane dark road. In my opinion the Blue lights should be banned and instead the yellow lights should be made compulsory for all vehicles.
